I've recently realized something about me and Teen Wolf that is, to me, baffling.

Usually, I'm a shipper first. I latch onto a character, that's mine now, and then I latch onto a "flag ship", one ship that I ship above all else, but I multiship hard and usually, once I latched onto a character, I ship them with practically everyone I don't family zone/friend zone.

Teen Wolf is different for me.

I did latch onto a character hard, Stiles is my guy, my baby boy and also my bastard boy to equal parts. Sarcastic little shit.

And I do have my "flag ship", I adore Sterek, it's my go-to, I feel feral about them.

But I only really have two and a half ships for him total. Even though there is a ton of characters on that show who all have interesting dynamics with him and, for all intends and purposes, I should have at least a dozen Stiles ships.

Teen Wolf is kind of... the only... fandom where I care much, much more about the platonic dynamics than the romantic. To the point that I "family zoned" practically every character who interacts with Stiles.

And I know it's the whole concept of pack dynamics. I have such strong, deep feelings about the pack, about Stiles' role in the pack and the very much platonic love that could be there, between them all.

I do want to see Stiles loved and cherished, but decidedly in a non-romantic manner in most cases.

Give me Boyd and Erica bonding with Stiles, after their shared trauma in the Argent basement, being protective of the human who tried to save them and took a beating for them.

Give me Isaac growing attached to Stiles, seeking him out the most.

Give me Jackson absolutely hating that he grew attached to Stiles, give me them bonding about the kanima and nogitsune trauma.

Give me Lydia and Stiles being geniuses and doing research and judging everyone around them.

Give me Danny and Stiles going to the Jungle together and Danny growing fond of Stiles even as Stiles exhausts the living daylight out of him.

Give me Scott and Stiles being brothers by anything but blood, getting into trouble together.

Give me Allison and Stiles be the pack humans together, be the Scott whisperers together.

Give me Peter and Stiles snarking it up and coming up with the plans while rolling their eyes at everyone else.

Heck, give me all of these and I might not even need romance in it, at all. I'll still take it, the cherry on top of pack fics is when the Alpha is irrevocably in love with Stiles, sure. But... somehow, inexplicably, the romance is nearly taken for granted, like, yeah, all of this is happening in a Sterek setting. It's the platonic dynamics that I desperately seek out and that excite me to find in the fics.

I care first and foremost about Stiles and second about everyone else loving Stiles, because damn it all to hell, he deserves to be loved. And I honestly think that's the reason why he is the favorite character to me, because I care so deeply and fiercely about him.

It’s Eternity in there!

It only took as second in Sam and Tucker’s eyes for the accident to unfold.

The sound of a stumble and char ingraining itself into all.

A sound so loud, a scream barley human, took the air.

A blinding light took sight, and the ozone took taste.

Nothing remained, but the horror that hadn’t fully sunk in as their mind’s whispered the same thought.

‘This can’t be happening’

But it did.

Danny’s scream was the first thing to stop, they cut off in a quick manner that leaving only the buzz of the portal to ring in their ears.

The the light flickered, sputtering to a stop.

Then only the smell remained to admit to what had unfolded in the lab.

The two friends were glued to their places with the wish to run, but to the portal or out the door where only for their own minds to admit.

Perhaps they wished to do both?

But instead they stood just to the side of the dammed opening that sat as if it were the innocent crevasse they once thought it so.

Then a hand stuck out, and another before someone fully emerged from the dark.

White hair and toxic pools instead of eyes it took them a moment to realize who stood before them.

“…Danny?”

And like that, Sam and Tucker found their feet again and made their choice.

The raised to meet their friend as they lost their footing, they held his weight as they went to the floor, and no one spoke for a quite sometime.

Time seemed to flicker for a second for the two unmarred and suddenly they were holding just their best friend.

If it wasn’t for the smell they could pretend that nothing had happened.

Peels of laughter broke through chapped lips of the raven haired boy, they grew in volume by the second.

Sam and Tucker could only watch confusion as their friend stumbled to his feet and began to make his way to the table.

“I’m back..It’s good to be back!”

He said as he rummaged in the clutter.

“Danny, what- what do you mean ‘good to be back’? You didn’t go anywhere!”

Sam asked as Danny grabbed blueprints and gadgets with a frenzied pace.

“Longer than you think!” He hummed as he picked up a sledgehammer. “So much longer.”

"Did a lot of thinking when I was away.. Tons.. Too much even!"

Tucker tried to step in front of his friend.,

"Danny, please stop, you're scaring us-"

it was like he had stepped in front of a hologram.

Danny, for his part, didn't even seem to notice the attempt and continued on his path back to the portal.

"People, aren't meant to witness the stars.,"

armful and armful went into the hole as Danny raved to friends.,

"Not truly, we witness echos for it is all we can handle."

He paused as he laid his hand gently on onto the wall's button.

"My parents decided to test this fact and I was the one to be burned."

and with a raise of the hammer, he brought it down upon the gateway.

"No more."

Over and over, and his friends could only watch along in fear.

they are so clearly in love, of course it makes sense. i also saw the stupid prom post pictures. and it does compel me. i have read several fanfictions and i am open to reading more to explore their sweet little romance. i don't have a ton of like ... Thoughts? about them? but i like the vibes. i don't know if jack is ready for nico to make an honest man of him but yk. maybe nico's happy to wait.
