Watching caleb doing work out just had me thinking he probably let you lay on his back while doing push up he probably the one offering it too just so he can show off his strength
But instead I think laying under him would be better. You can watch him grunting and sweating in his glory maybe stealing a kiss while you at it. Plus it can be a challenge for him. Can he focus on his work out with his cute baby laying under him
so so sowwy for answering this only now nonnie><
ha! he'd be the one to come up with it. "i've been lacking some motivation lately, but surely having my pretty girl lie underneath me will be lots of help" and he says it with that flirty smirk, and there’s that cute dimple on his cheek, and his big shiny eyes to which you could never say no.
the irony is: he's the one to propose it bc he wants to fluster and tease you, but in the end he’s the one who ends up being a complete mess. how could he not? when you look at him as if he had hung up the moon and stars in the sky for you. when your hands subconsciously reach out towards him. when you wrap your arms around his neck, when your hands slide down his upper arms, and travel lower along his abs, making them tense up after each feather light touch.
how is he supposed to keep his composure when each kiss that you grace him with for each proper push up that he does, ends up tasting sweeter and sweeter. and sweeter.
"caleb?"
"mmh- yeah?" he grunts with another push, lifting and lowering his body effortlessly in a constant tempo. there’s a light sheen of sweat that’s coating his temples, his hair a little damp and messy. yet he still looks impeccably handsome.
slowly, as if scared that you might startle him, you let the pads of your fingers glide over his compression shirt until your palm is flat against his chest. right above his heart.
"it’s beating really fast." you worry your lower lip between your teeth as you tilt your head slightly to the side, looking at him with big doe eyes. "maybe you should take a break?"
goosebumps rise along your skin when his dog tag grazes your naked collarbone after he's lowered his body enough for the tip of his nose to touch yours. with a sardonic smile, caleb closes his eyes as he kisses the corner of your mouth. his lips are warm against your skin. everything about him is. he's always felt like a warm blanket enveloping you, offering you comfort, as much as a refuge from the overwhelming outside world.
you nearly whine in protest when, instead of giving you a proper kiss, he pulls away enough to look at your face.
"that's not because of the workout, pips."

Heey! I think your requests are closed, but when you open them, do you think you could write about Logan (any variant) with a reader who has a bad relationship with food? I kinda need the comfort right now, I have to eat to survive, but I hardly ever want to eat, and when I do I feel guilty about it, specially if it's not something super healthy or low cal.
I think Logan would be a really good partner and show support, make sure his partner eats well or doesn't slip meals and even cooks for them :')
Hi! Absolutely I can, I understand what you're going through and I want to know that you're loved and you have my full support <3 I picked origins Logan for this, he just gives off the softest vibes and would be a completely supportive and sweet partner. It's a little short and I apologize but I hope it helps <33
warnings: eating disorder/bad relationship with food, please don't read if this would possibly trigger you
Tumblr media
Logan could tell something was off from the moment he walked through the door. His stomach rumbled as he smelled whatever delicious meal you were making for dinner. As he entered the kitchen he saw you pulling a pan out of dinner. Lasagna, his favorite.
"Smells fucking amazing," He purrs as he wraps his hands around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder.
He still smells like pine needle and dirt from work. Normally he doesn't get back till way past dinner time but today was an easy day. How lucky he gets to eat dinner with the love of his life huh?
"Logan! You scared me." You huff as you gently push his arms off your body.
"Go clean up dinners almost ready." He frowns as you shoo him away.
Lately things have just felt off. You smiled and laughed like you always do but there were little things that just didn't feel right. Especially around meal times.
"Okay sweetheart, I'll be right back." Logan can't help but wonder what could possibly be wrong.
Are you sick? Is something bothering you? If so why wouldn't you tell him? Worries start to invade his thoughts. What could be going on that you can't even go to him about it? After a quick shower and a change of clothes he heads back to the kitchen. Only to see one plate of food sitting on the counter.
"I made it with the sauce you like, not the off brand one." You say with a smile but Logan's worry remains. He sits at the counter and takes the plate.
"Where's yours?" He asks. Your face falls for just a second. Anyone else would have missed it but not Logan. Not when it comes to you.
"Not hungry." You try and play it off, pushing the plate closer but Logan grabs your wrist.
"Logan, I had a big lunch. I'll eat later." You try and tug out of Logan's grip but he remains firm. Never enough to hurt you but enough to keep you there. To keep you from running away.
"I don't believe you. In fact, I've barely seen you eat anything in the last couple months."
The memories come flooding back. He's seen you eat, but its never much and it's always healthy. Shame starts to creep into his bones as he realizes he's failed to put the pieces together. All this time.
"Please sweetheart, whatever is going on you can tell me." Tears start to well up in your eyes as Logan speaks.
You never meant for him to find out. You thought you could handle this on your own. You had been so careful and eat just enough so that he never caught on. But the truth is you're exhausted. Food is nothing more that a means to survive. Everyday you force yourself to eat just enough and no more. Its been exhausting. Especially if the food you eat is too many calories or just plain unhealthy.
Logan almost jumps across the counter the moment he sees the tears, fearing the worst. He abandons his dinner in favor of wrapping you in his arms on the couch. Cooing softly as you cry and explain everything to him. He doesn't say a word, he just listens. Rubbing your back and letting you soak his shirt with tears.
When you're done you prepare for the worst. What if Logan leaves? I mean it would certainly be easier for him to not have to deal with. All of this. But he doesn't. With gentle hands he cups your face and dries your tears.
"I'm so sorry." He mumbles. Sorry that he didn't notice sooner and sorry you've been carrying this for so long.
"Are you mad?" You ask quietly.
"No, of course not." Logan presses a kiss to your forehead.
"Listen honey, this isn't healthy." He knows that you know that but its not as easy as just a flip of a switch to change habits that had been built for years.
"I'm going to be with you every step of the way alright?" He says, tilting your head up so you can look him in the eyes. He wants you to know that he truly means every word.
"Okay," Logan pulls you into a tight hug, whispering sweet words over and over. He wishes he could take all your pain away in an instant. He'd bear it for you without even asking, but he can't.
But he stays true to his promise. Logan is there when you need him, to remind you to eat and taking it upon himself to make meals for you and with you. Some days were harder than others but Logan carried the weight you couldn't.
Things still aren't easy, but with Logan by your side you think you might be able to do anything.

real life. l Joel Miller
Tumblr media
Summary: maybe this was the life you were both waiting for
Warnings: some sad, but a lot of fluff, some smut at the end (+18), worries; Ellie and Tommy mention, mention of pregnancy
A/N: I'm very glad that you received the previous chapter so well. I think many of us are waiting for a happy ending. This chapter is something different, I hope you'll be gentle with me. I've seen lately that many new people are reading this series. I'd love to know what you think.
your feedback is very important to me and I thank you for all the reblogs, comments and likes. 🖤 sorry for all the mistakes
short stories from life. [masterlist]
He saw her again, she was just as he remembered her. For the first time in a long time, he dreamed of her differently. More alive, happier.
He was home again, and everything was as it should be, and she was there too. Damn, he could feel her so well as if she was really standing right next to him. A smile lit up her face, she gazed at him with feistiness but also love.
"She's waiting for you in the garden." Sarah said.
He looked out the window and saw a familiar silhouette. You were standing in the middle of the lawn, your face turned to the sun, so beautiful. He smiled and looked back at his daughter.
"She'll understand. She understands everything." he replied, stroking the girl's cheek. "I miss you so much, baby girl."
"I know." she snuggled into his hand, narrowing her eyes. "I'll always be here for you."
Sometimes he dreamed of Sarah as a little child, sometimes you were with them and everything seemed so natural, so normal, like it was a life he had experienced. Joel couldn't remember when he had started dreaming like that, but he didn't want to think about it. A soothing feeling filled him and he felt lighter.
"So I can count on you? Joel?"
"What?" he looked at her a little confused.
"You seem a little distracted." Hazel smiled. "I asked if you'd come over and take a look at the sink."
He didn't quite remember what they were talking about. It was a nice day, warm and sunny. Joel had just left the Tipsy Bison where he'd met Tommy and was about to join you across the street where you were shopping, when Hazel stopped him. And even though the woman was talking to him, his eyes and thoughts kept wandering to you.
He noticed you talking to the woman behind the counter. There was something about your movements, something that caught his attention. Joel couldn't help himself lately and often, when he watched you, he realized one thing - you were carrying his child. That thought consumed him completely.
“I’ll send Barry over to you, he’ll handle it,” he said finally, giving Hazel a quick look.
The woman had a disappointed look on her face. “I’d rather you handle this. I trust you.”
His gaze wandered back to you, you were putting bread and some fruit in the basket. "And I trust Barry. He'll show up today."
And before Hazel could answer, he headed across the street.
He entered the store before you could even realize it, nodded to the woman behind the cash register and quickly reached for the basket, almost ripping it out of your hand.
"Jesus! Joel." You sighed, rolling your eyes. "You scared me."
"You shouldn't be lifting." He muttered quietly so the saleswoman wouldn't hear.
"It's not that heavy. Come on."
"No." He grabbed it tighter and placed his other hand on the small of your back, leading you out of the building. "I hope your stubbornness isn't genetic, because I'm going to go completely gray because of you."
He did it again. Completely unconsciously. You didn't talk much about the baby or the pregnancy. Joel was relieved that you didn't insist on taking part in the patrols, but you still didn't talk much about it. Less than two weeks had passed, everything was still fresh.
"Let her get used to it. She's been through a lot, and now this." Tommy said when Joel confided in him about the situation between you "She must be scared."
“I know.” Joel nodded. “But I can’t stop thinking it’s my fault. I want her to know I’m there for her.”
It was a quiet evening. Rain was lightly pattering against the windowsill, and you were curled up on the couch, reading a book you found in the Jackson library. Ellie managed to get out of the house before the rain started, and the place fell silent. Until.
You didn't recognize it at first, but soon your keen ear caught the first notes. The old record player you had in the hallway was playing music. You turned around and saw Joel.
"I found this a while ago. It's old, but maybe you'll like it." he said, and then he walked up to you, extending his hand to you "Will you dance with me, babe?"
It's been raining since you left me Now I'm drowning in the flood You see, I've always been a fighter But without you, I give up
You wordlessly grabbed his hand, letting him pull you into his solid body. Warm lips brushed your temple as you slid your fingers through the hair that fell to the back of his neck. You swayed gently to the rhythm of the next words.
I'll be there 'til the stars don't shine 'Til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme And I know when I die, you'll be on my mind And I'll love you, always
"I know you're scared. I am too." His quiet voice echoed in your ear. "But we're in this together."
"What if I can't handle it? What if I'm not cut out to be a mother?" you asked quietly.
These questions must have been worrying you for a long time, because Joel felt your voice tremble. He hugged you tighter so that you could feel his heartbeat.
"You're already doing everything to keep him safe. I know what you're like. You'll be the best mother to him. Or her."
What I'd give to run my fingers through your hair To touch your lips, to hold you near When you say your prayers, try to understand I've made mistakes, I'm just a man
He heard your quiet sobbing and his heart skipped a beat. You'd buried all your fears and worries so deeply that only now did Joel realize what you had to deal with. If he was afraid of whether you'd be safe, then you had to create this child and give birth to it.
He remembered when Sarah was little, he remembered the sleepless nights and colic when he spent hours massaging her belly and she cried. He remembered when her teeth were coming out, or when she first got sick. But the world was different then.
"I'm with you on this, baby. I give myself completely to you. Remember that. You’re not alone."
If you told me to cry for you, I could If you told me to die for you, I would Take a look at my face There's no price I won't pay To say these words to you
You woke up feeling his hand on your belly, under your shirt tenderly lying where new life should be hidden. The quiet snoring was evidence that Joel was doing it unconsciously.
Ever since you found out about the pregnancy, you felt fear above all. You knew that Joel was on your side, that Ellie was delighted. Recently, even Tommy quietly mentioned that if you needed anything, he and Maria were ready to lend a helping hand. The people closest to you were with you, but fear settled in your heart and wouldn't leave you.
You never saw yourself as a mother. Or maybe you never had the opportunity to consider such a situation? God only knew. And then Joel and Ellie appeared on your path, your life took on new colors. You were no longer lonely, you had them. And although it wasn't always nice, although there were also difficult moments, you were together. So maybe now it all made sense too?
You turned gently and looked at Joel's sleeping face. The wrinkle between his eyebrows seemed softer to you, you saw all the small wrinkles on his face too, the gray hair intertwined with the darker ones, the lips that you adored so much.
You loved him. You were as sure of it as the fact that the sun rose every morning. This guy was your everything and most importantly - he wanted everything with you.
You gently touched his cheek, Joel quivered. Old habits are hard to break. You smiled, stroking his stubbled cheek and feeling his hand now resting on your lower back move slightly.
A quiet groan escaped his chest. "Go to sleep."
"I can't." you replied quietly. "You snore terribly."
He lifted his eyelid slightly, looking at you indignantly. "I don't snore."
"Yes, you do."
Joel sighed and turned onto his back, rubbing his face with his hand. He sighed when he felt you snuggle up to him, hiding your face in the crook of his neck. He liked mornings like this, although he deliberately pretended to be grumpy.
Your warm body lying so close to his, your soft skin. Damn, he loved it all.
"Joel?" your voice was still hoarse from sleep, but he heard it clearly.
"Mhmm." he mumbled without even opening his eyes.
"I was thinking..." you started and suddenly moved, before Joel could react you were already lying on him with your arms resting on either side of his head. He opened his eyes slightly and waited. "I was thinking that since I can't be more pregnant, then..."
"Stop right there." he mumbled, placing his hands on your hips "You'll be more pregnant. You'll be much bigger, darling."
You rolled your eyes but smiled. "Okay, but what I mean is... I meant that if you wanted to, maybe we could... You know." you made a small circle with your hips and felt his manhood twitch. You smiled mischievously.
"Christ!" Joel moaned "You're serious."
You nodded, your messy hair falling over your face. "You know, now you can finish inside me without worry. You can't knock me up any more..."
He frowned and looked at you seriously. "You're not kidding?"
You shook your head. "It's been a while. After all this happened... I miss you. Your closeness..."
"Fuck, I miss you too." He replied and lifted his head, capturing your lips in his.
It was one of those kisses when you were happy and horny at the same time. You kissed him back in an instant and soon your tongues were tangled and his strong hands were gripping your buttocks tighter.
Damn, he wanted you like never before. Not only because you haven't had sex since you saw the two lines on the test, let's be honest - sex wasn't on your mind then, but now a lot of things between you have become clear and even more bonds have been created that have connected you to each other.
You wanted to feel him with your whole being, you wanted to make love to Joel and show how much he meant to you, but also to feel the same love from him.
His warm skin beneath your fingertips, the soft groans that filled the bedroom in the early morning… Yes, this was real life. And while you might as well have been stranded in the middle of nowhere with him, you were tangled in the sheets with Joel, moaning softly as he moved inside you. Gently at first, like he was afraid he might hurt you.
"You won't break me, Joel. I'm all yours."
That was enough for him. His movements were strong and decisive. He thrust in and out of you, taking your breath away. Your body submitted to him, and he took and gave at the same time.
And then, as you collapsed next to each other, trying to calm your breathing and your racing hearts, Joel thought he had never felt so alive around anyone before.

angel baby - theodore nott x reader
p: theodore nott x fem!reader w: just some fluff, theo pining, swearing, drinking, ooc(?), kinda modern au? (mentions 1996 romeo and juliet) s: after hearing who his crush is being at the slytherin's halloween party, theo decides to impress her with his own costume a/n: i know i know, very late, but i finally got around to finishing this and still wanted to post it
It was a week before Halloween, which to many, was one of the most anticipated holidays other than Christmas. But it wasn't the candy upper year students were excited for. Rather, it was the Slytherin party that would be happening that night.
All the girls were chatting about who they would be for the night. Ideas ranging from vampires to scantily dressed nurses. It was a night to show off.
Theo never cared much about the costume part. The past couple years he settled on skeleton face paint, mainly because his roommate Enzo has a surprisingly good eye for art.
Truthfully, he had planned to do the same again, despite Blaise's insistence on doing something different. But plans had changed for him.
Theo was at the Slytherin table with the rest of his friends as they chatted about the upcoming event of the season.
"I'm so excited for this party," exclaimed Daphne. "Have you guys decided on what you're wearing?"
"I've decided on a black cat," Pansy told them. "Got the perfect outfit and everything."
"Oooh you're gonna look so good Pans!" (Y/N) told her.
"I know, I'm so excited. What about you Daph?"
Daphne smiles. "I'm going to be a vampire." A sound of 'Ooos' was heard after the girl's answer. "What about you (Y/N)?"
(Y/N) giggles a bit before responding, the sound making Theo's heart pick up a bit. "Do you guys remember that one muggle movie we watched during summer?"
"Was it that weird one where that girl and boy died at the end because their families hated each other?" Draco chimes in.
The girl scoffed at Draco's comment. "Well yes, but you know its more than that." The boy rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, I think I want to be Juliet from the party scene."
"Oooh, is that the one where she's dressed as an angel?" asked Daphne. "You're going to look stunning!"
(Y/N) grins, thanking Daphne. Her smile made Theo's lips twitch a bit, wanting to mirror her. A small nudge was felt on the boy's left side where Mattheo sat, smirking at him. Caught red handed.
It wasn't like nobody knew about Theo's crush on his fellow Slytherin classmate. In fact, Mattheo had been the first to know about it, albeit, not by choice. Theo had kept his interest for the girl low key. It was just that Mattheo had notice Theo staring a little too long at (Y/N) one time and had basically got his friend to confess his crush.
After that, Mattheo had made it his mission to help Theo to get with (Y/N).
"I just wished I could have someone be my Romeo though," (Y/N) confided with her friends. "It would make the costume feel more complete."
"He was the knight right?" Asked Pansy. "That would be so cute."
This had caught Theo's attention again. The gears were beginning to turn in his head.
Back at the dorms, Theo was pacing, Enzo and Mattheo watching him from Mattheo's bed.
"So are you going to tell us what's happening or are we going to continue watching you burn a path in the floor?" Enzo asked his dormmate. "Feel like I'm getting dizzy from watching you."
Theo stops his tracks before looking towards his two friends. "I need to find a halloween costume."
Enzo stared at the boy, confused. While Mattheo had a feeling as to what was stirring in his friend's mind.
"You're going to match with (Y/N), huh?" Mattheo asked.
"Finally!" Enzo shouts, startling the other two. "Thank Merlin, I won't have to do that fucking face paint anymore. You know I was getting tired of that shit, right?"
Theo rolled his eyes at his friend.
"Anyways," Enzo began. "What's (Y/N) going to be?"
Mattheo answered. "An angel basically."
"She wants to be Juliet from that movie we watched over the summer." Theo explained to him as he sat on his own bed. "But during that party scene."
"And Romeo here wants to be her knight in shining armor," Mattheo said.
"Ooh. And let me guess, you need our help?"
"No, well, kinda," Theo said. "Help me find the perfect costume."
"And what will we get out of this?" Mattheo had a look of mischief in his eyes.
"Nothing."
"Well. Then you wouldn't mind if I asked (Y/N) to the party would you? Share a drink or two with her, maybe dance?"
"You wouldn't."
"Oh I would," his roommate said. "Unless you do my homework for a month."
"No bloody way."
"Fine. Three weeks."
"Two and that's final."
Mattheo thought for a second before grinning. "Alright, two weeks it is. Didn't think you'd actually go for it though, was just joking a bit."
"Oh you bastard, I'm going to kill you!"
That weekend, the boys had dedicated their time at Hogsmeade to finding stuff for Theo's costume. They had found the items surprisingly quick thanks to Enzo and his eye for things.
The three had ended their day at the Three Broomsticks with Draco and Blaise, who noticed the bags they carried, but decided to not question it (didn't stop Mattheo from telling them what was going on).
The day of the party had come way too soon for Theo's liking. He stood in front of the mirror, staring at himself with the costume on.
What if (Y/N) doesn't like his costume? What if she thought it was stupid and laughed at him? Should he have done this?
So many thoughts and scenarios ran through Theo's mind, he was half tempted to take the costume off and go for a smoke.
"Theo?"
The boy looked towards the door to find Enzo and Mattheo. The two were examing Theo's current state.
"You good?" Mattheo asked. Theo just shrugged.
"Come on mate," Enzo said to him. "She'll like the costume. And if she doesn't, who cares? Now, let's go for some shots. I know Mattheo has been itching for some."
After a few more minutes, Enzo and Mattheo had successfully gotten Theo out of the dorm room and into the Slytherin common room. And true to his word, Enzo had gotten a couple shots into his dorm mates to liven things up.
Things were going alright for Theo. A couple shots had gotten him feeling more loose, but he was still thinking about (Y/N), whose whereabouts were unknown to him.
He was grabbing another drink when he heard his name being called. Confused, he turned around to find the culprit.
"(Y/N)."
"Hi Theo."
The boy took a second to look at (Y/N)'s outfit, or what he thought was a second. He saw how intricate it was, almost like it was a replica of the costume from the film.
She looked like an angel.
"I like your costume," Theo heard her say. Seems like he wasn't the only one looking.
"Thank you. Don't look too bad yourself."
(Y/N) smiled at his comment. "Thanks. Made it myself."
"Well it looks lovely," Theo said to her. "Drink?"
She nodded, taking the drink Theo offered her.
"Who are you supposed to be?" She asked after taking a sip.
"Oh uh," the boy began. "Romeo. From the movie we watched back during the summer. Thought his party fit was cool."
"Really? Well I like it. You look really good Theo."
Theo felt his cheeks heat up. She liked his costume. He would have to thank Enzo (and maybe Mattheo) for his help.
The music in the common room had begun to slow down. Couples gathered with each other and swayed to the music. Theo turned his head and saw Mattheo dancing with a girl, but he was looking directly at him.
'Ask her' Mattheo mouthed to him, discreetly pointing at the girl next to him.
Theo nodded his head at his mate before turning to his crush beside him. Just as he was about to speak, the words on the tip of his tongue were stolen.
"Dance with me?"
(Y/N) looked up at Theo, waiting for his answer. Out of shock, Theo just nodded. Taking his answer, (Y/N) pulled Theo closer to the center of the room where everyone was. She wrapped her arms around his neck, his hands on her waist. Eyes gazing at each other. Everything felt perfect.
"So, why did you choose this costume, Theo?"
He faltered in his steps, surprised at the sudden question. He had two choices, he could be honest and admit his feelings, or lie and say Mattheo made him do it, which is something he would actually do. But the more he looked at her, realizing how close they were, he needed to say the right thing.
"I did it for you."
"For me?"
Theo nodded. "I heard how you wanted someone to match with you to make your costume feel complete. I wanted to make your night special. Because. I like you (Y/N)."
(Y/N) halted her steps, confusing Theo.
"You like me?"
The boy nodded, feeling slightly nervous. "Actually have a while."
(Y/N) took in this new information, nodding at him. The silence between them was killing Theo. He was half tempted to kill Mattheo if she said she didn't like him. Since technically, if he thinks about it, it would be.
As Theo was going through every little thought and concern in his head, he missed out on the girl in front of him trying to speak to him. He finally tuned back into the world when she said his name.
"Hm?"
"Theo, I was trying to tell you, I like you too," (Y/N) tells him with a smile on her face.
"Really?"
"Really."
"Well bloody hell finally," said a voice.
The two turned to see Mattheo looking at the two, seemingly having stopped dancing to spy on this moment.
"Thought I would never see the day come where Theo finally admits his feelings for you. I was thinking I was gonna have to make a move myself."
"Mattheo shut the fuck up." Theo glared at his roommate.
Mattheo stuck his hands up. "Alright, alright. I'll leave you too lovebirds alone. Don't be surprised when Enzo is asking you questions when you come back to the dorm." The Slytherin took his leave, relieving Theo.
"I hate that motherfucker," he mutters, raking his hands through his hair.
(Y/N) chuckles. "Maybe, but I think you don't mind him. You guys are best friends after all."
Theo laughs, shaking his head.
"So, I hear there's a Hogsmeade trip happening next week. Would you want to go on a date there?"
"I'd like that." (Y/N) grins.

Thanks for the tag x3 Sorry it took me so long to get to it haha. I'll highlight characters in red if I had a lot to say about multiples in one answer.
Favorite girl: I think I'd say Jinx because I love her character. All her scenes in S1 are compelling and tense, and I found her to be thoroughly tragic by the end. She's the thread that holds everything else together and it's beautiful. Also Ambessa and Sevika are both super hot and I always look forward to seeing them.
Favorite boy: I like boys. O_O My favorites are Silco, Singed, and Viktor. Silco is one of my favorite villain characters, very layered and complex, and I was genuinely intrigued and excited as I learned more of his story in S1. I'm also totally guilty of mega-simping for him in S2 despite how my opinions of the story would later sour. Singed honestly just has a fantastic voice and animation that hits me the same way Rango's animation does, where "ugly" characters are treated with such care that they're a treat to watch anyway. He's so stimulating aaaa. Finally, Viktor's arc in S1 is one of my favorites, handled patiently and expertly, and his arc in S2 has quite a few problems, but I still... really enjoy seeing him, and seeing him with Jayce, so I don't tend to be bothered by how S2 handled Viktor.
Least favorite character: You know what? I was so close to posting this with "S2 Caitlyn" because she's a nasty person who never gets to have a proper arc in any direction, but I think a more fitting answer would be S2 Vi. Caitlyn being an awful person in some scenes was still interesting and believable, if a bit rushed, and I would have been fine with her character going that path had it been executed a bit better. Vi, though, is just... turned into a sad lapdog who doesn't act on her own at any point and is just depressing to watch, even in her "happy" moments. God damn, they destroyed her this season. ><
Favorite ships: Zaundads, Sinco, JayVik, and Jilco. If I elaborated on each, I'd feel like I spent way too much time on this, but they each have dynamics I enjoy for different reasons.
Least favorite ship: S2 Caitvi. They were cute in S1, but S2 made Caitlyn an abusive war criminal and then pretended that didn't need to be properly addressed before Vi just gave herself to her. Blegh.
Favorite side character: Lately, it's Salo because I like em pathetic ahaha~ I've always loved Mylo too, adorable little Junkrat kid. x3c
Favorite songs: Oooooh this is a hard one. x3 Goodbye and What Could Have Been will always hit me so hard and remind me how watching Arcane for the first time felt, and for that, they're extra special. I think Playground still gives me those vibes too. I also adore Guns For Hire, and Dirty Little Animals goes so hard. S2 introduced quite a few songs I love too. Ashes and Blood, Renegade, and Spin the Wheel are favorites. Favorite score songs are: The Bridge, The City of Progress, You're Stronger Than You Think, You Can't Escape the Past, A Story of Opposites, Stubborn to the End, I Can Help Them, The Era of Hextech, Revenge, You're a Jinx, A Bicentennial, The Assailant, Romance, Traitor, She's Back, The Toy Boat, I'm Right Here, Showdown, First Steps, You're Perfect, and I'm far less familiar with S2's score, but I can't stop listening to I Promised You. <3
Favorite episode: S1 episode 3. There are tons of scenes I love throughout the story, but this episode marked one of the greatest experiences I've ever had watching a show.
Least favorite episode: So like... I'm not entirely sure which entire episode is my least favorite, so it might be easier to list "chunks", like all the Mel/Black Rose stuff is a boring waste of time to me, and all the final battle stuff is like... uuuuugh. But I didn't just wanna say s2 episode 9 because I do still like the Jayce and Viktor stuff even if, critically, I don't think most of it makes sense x'D. Those two are legit just a guilty pleasure this season and I'm okay with that.
Favorite duo: Oooooh, mmmm..... I think Jayce and Viktor fit the term "duo" best out of my favorites. My other fave is Jinx and Silco, even though they basically never work together, but their interactions are priceless. <3
Favorite design: Aaaaa so many good ones, ummm... honestly? Powder is one of my favorite characters to watch and her design is adorable and complex (a lot of characters are complex in design, but ye). I really love the mismatched look of a lot of Zaun outfits. Also past Silco is um, I'm locking him in my basement. >u>
Least favorite design: Hm... so... I don't think I've looked at any design and hated it, just felt like a few of them were kinda... not as appealing to me as previous versions. So, I prefer Ambessa's pre-S2A3 designs, and I think it's because she looks too slender in her final look compared to previous ones making her look so big and imposing. I think Jinx's newest design is... overrated and kind of messy to look at. I know she's a messy character, so that would fit, but I dunno, there's something missing or... something. It's also hard not to let my feelings on the story taint my feelings for some of the designs, like Vi and Caitlyn's, which look pretty damn cool actually, but I just always picture that final cuddly scene with them and it makes me feel icky.
Favorite scene: The Guns For Hire sequence ✨
Least favorite scene: The Silco, Vander, and Felicia flashback because it ruins the motivations of Silco and Vander, not just to adopt their kids, but to free Zaun from Piltover's oppressive hold. Felicia is pretty and even has some fun sassiness to her personality, but I want her far away from my boys.
I don't like this ending on a negative, so Imma add one more question myself:
Favorite visual moment: Of course, I can hardly pick less than a dozen, but I'll just list a couple off the top of my head, not counting previously mentioned stuff of course. I love the scene of the mage saving young Jayce and his mother. It's so gorgeous and fluid and the music adds so much too. Gahhhh- I also super love that shot of Silco leaning back while smoking right after he talks to Marcus.
I'm always bad at tagging, so just like, do it if you feel like! 8D
On tiktok there was this arcane trend that was just about stating some basic arcane opinions of yours and I thought it would be fun to do something similar here! You can tag others and make it a tagging game or you can just answer the questions do what you want :)

You've been best friends with Chan for... God, forever.
It started back in high school when he was still all curly hair and dimples, running on caffeine and ambition, making beats in his bedroom until 3AM. You were always there──sitting cross-legged on his bed, half-asleep with your laptop balanced on your knees, pretending not to notice the way he’d glance at you every time you laughed.
It was never supposed to be like this.
You were just friends. Always too close, always on the edge without ever crossing it. He was the golden boy──everyone's favorite person, the one who always took care of everyone else. And you were the only person who ever took care of him.
You were the one he'd call when the pressure got too heavy. The one who'd show up at his studio with takeout and stay until sunrise, listening to his half-finished songs like they were the only thing that mattered in the world.
He was your best friend.
He was never supposed to touch you.
But somewhere along the way, between the late-night car rides and the sleepy studio naps, between the way he'd wrap his hoodie around your shoulders without thinking. Something shifted.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────
The Problem
Neither of you will admit you're in love with each other.
Instead, you both pretend it’s nothing — these little moments that stretch too long, the way his hand always finds the small of your back, the way your fingers always brush when he passes you a water bottle.
You're both too stubborn. Too scared to wreck the only good thing you've ever had.
But everyone else sees it.
Felix teases him about you constantly — little comments that make Chan's ears go red. Hyunjin swears you two are already together. Han flat-out told you one night, half-drunk on the couch, "If you don't fuck him soon, he's gonna die."
But neither of you ever crosses the line.
Until... almost.
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
What They're All Thinking
Felix: "They're literally in love, but they're both too dumb to realize it."
Han: "They probably accidentally had sex and just never talked about it."
Hyunjin: "I've seen him touch her lower back like he's guiding a bride down the aisle — they’re already married in his head."
Changbin: "I don't get it. If I liked someone that much, I'd just tell them."
Seungmin: "I swear he's too old to not see through their own bullshit."
Lee know: "They're gonna snap. Give it three months."
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The Moment It All Starts Falling Apart
It happens in his studio — because of course it does.
You're half-asleep on his couch, wrapped up in one of his hoodies, the dim glow of his computer screen flickering across the room. He thinks you're asleep when he murmurs it — so soft you almost don't catch it.
"You don't even know how bad I want you."
You pretend not to hear him.
And that's when everything changes.
────────────────────────────────────────
The Rules of the Slow Burn
1. Neither of you ever talks about how often you sleep in the same bed.
2. He never touches you... except when he's guiding you through crowds or brushing hair out of your face or holding your waist when you're half-asleep.
3. You're just friends. Always just friends.
4. But every time you're alone, the air gets thicker — the silence stretching too long, his eyes flicking to your mouth like he's this close to losing his mind.
5. He never kisses you.
Until he does.

For @bucktommyfluffebruary day 14: valentines day
A/N: Yes this is super late and I know it's not February anymore, but my mind wasn't cooperating much in Feb and I do have partially written, waiting to be finished fics/ficlets for all of the days, so this year we're *extending* February. How long for though - nobody knows.
---
Secret Valentine (AO3)
Probie!Buck x 118!Tommy
---
You think you're invisible but you're not. I see you and I think you're wonderful. Love, your valentine.
Tommy looked around, trying to make sense of it all.
"Did you do this?" he asked Sal, holding up the card.
"Do what?"
"This!" he shoved the card in Sal's face.
He pulled a face as he read the message and looked at the puppy holding a rose and "be my valentine" in the front.
"Why would I send you a valentines day card?"
"I don't know, to fuck with me? Make me think there's someone out there who wants to date me and then laugh at me when I fall for it?"
"That's a good one actually. I should remember that for next year." Sal said, flicking the card back at Tommy and closing his locker. "But it wasn't me."
"Who was it then?"
"How should I know? Maybe it was Howie? Or one of the girls? Maybe someone from B-shift? Maybe a member of the public dropped it off for you?"
"Then how did it end up in my locker?"
Sal shrugged.
"I don't know. I guess someone could have put it in there for them?"
"Without telling me?"
"You'd find it eventually, wouldn't you?" Sal shrugged again. "Hey probie, do you know anything about the card in Tommy's locker?" he asked Buck who had just walked into the locker room too to change at the end of their shift.
"What card?"
"That's a no then."
Tommy held up the card.
"This was in my locker. Did you see anyone put it in?"
Buck shook his head.
"I've been busy all day. I haven't been in here since the start of shift."
Tommy sighed and looked at the card again.
"It's kind of cute. With the puppy." Buck commented, nodding at the card. "Or don't you like dogs?"
"Uh no I do... I like dogs just fine. I just don't like pranks like this."
"Maybe it's not a prank? Maybe someone actually likes you and they're too shy to say it."
Tommy snorted.
"Yeah right."
"The kid is a romantic, Tom, not a cynical asshole like you." Sal joked and swung his duffel over his shoulder. "I am going to spend my 48 off with my wife. It's our last valentines day before the baby arrives and we're going to make the most of it. And I'm not going to think about any of you until the minute our next shift begins." he gave Tommy a mock salute as he walked past him out of the locker room.
"It's him. I know it's him." Tommy told Buck. "Maybe he got Gina to do it... But I know he's playing a prank on me."
"Why are you so convinced it's a prank? I think someone out there actually really likes you."
"Those things only happen in movies probie." Tommy said, shoving the card into his bag and closing his locker. "Real life doesn't work that way."
He walked out of the station to his car, mostly annoyed at Sal for not owning up to his prank.
It wasn't like they hadn't played pranks on each other before, and Sal was his best friend, he could take a fake valentine's card from him.
If only he'd just admit it.
He debated calling Gina to see if she knew about Sal's prank (and get her on his side and pressure Sal into coming clean. She was six months pregnant, Sal wouldn't dare argue with her) but when he got to his truck there was some kind of paper stuck under the windshield wiper.
For a moment he thought it was a ticket and he tried to figure out what possible laws he could have broken while parked outside a fire station, but upon closer inspection it turned out to be an envelope. One with his name on it at that.
He opened the envelope and inside was another card.
It was a simple card with a teddy bear holding a love heart saying happy valentine's day on the front.
Drive safe, the roads can be dangerous and I like you in one piece. Love, your valentine.
It was cute but he was also getting more annoyed with Sal. One card in his locker was enough.
He looked at the message in the card again. He had to admit it didn't look anything like Sal's handwriting. Or Gina's.
Maybe they got someone else to write it for them. And unsuspecting neighbour maybe.
He put the card in his bag with the other one, and drove home, planning on ignoring both the cards and the upcoming holiday.
His 48 off might as well have been a full shift with how busy he'd been catching up on chores around the house, as well as drinks with his brother and his team to celebrate his divorce going through.
And yeah maybe he'd had a few too many and was still recovering when he clocked into work at the start of his next shift.
Though he was nothing if not a professional so he forced some breakfast down and got on with his work.
Thankfully the 911 gods were on his side and no calls had come in all morning, and by midday he had finished most of his jobs around the station and figured he deserved a nap.
The alarm would wake him if any calls came in.
He dragged himself to the bunk room and crashed onto his bunk without looking or even bothering to take his boots off.
He tried to get comfortable but there was something under his pillow bothering him.
He shoved a hand underneath to get rid of whatever it was, whatever the guys had put under there, but frowned when he felt something plastic. It crinkled and it felt like a bag of sorts.
He sat up and pulled it out. In his hand was a small gift bag with a tiny card hanging from the ribbon tying it shut.
Here are some sweet hearts for a sweetheart. Love, your valentine.
"What the fuck Deluca..." Tommy muttered under his breath. He turned the bag over in his hands. It seemed like a regular gift bag just about every store sold around this time of year, and didn't look like it had been tampered with.
He opened the bag and shook the candy hearts out into his hand. They looked like every candy heart he'd ever seen. Just plain pastel coloured hard candy hearts with "Be Mine" on them.
He popped one in his mouth and hoped not even Sal was cruel enough to give him candy with laxatives in them.
After what felt like only five minutes the station alarm woke Tommy up and he rushed down to the truck bay on auto pilot. He stepped into his turnout pants and boots on muscle memory and yanked on the coat while all but throwing himself into the truck.
He was the last one in but hardly late.
"Nice of you to join us, Thomas." Sal joked.
Tommy rolled his eyes and put his headset on.
"Fuck you Deluca." He shot back and Sal laughed. "Just drive this thing and tell me where we're going."
"Structure fire on the east side of town. The abandoned warehouses."
He got assigned to work with the probie when they arrived on scene, which suited him just fine. The kid had good instincts.
The whole crew worked together to clear the warehouse that turned out not to be so abandoned after all.
A group of homeless people had set up camp in the place and it was filled with blankets, cardboard, and all kinds of trash. The whole thing was about as far from fire safe as it could get.
Thankfully there were no casualties and only a few people with minor smoke inhalation.
They were doing a final sweep of the building to make sure they hadn't missed anything and all fires were definitely out.
"This is probably what started the fire." Buck commented, putting out a small fire in the makeshift kitchen with the foam extinguisher he'd brought along.
"Yeah the whole place is a death trap." Tommy agreed. "It's a miracle everyone made it out alive." he looked around, satisfied there didn't seem to be any spot fires or anything smouldering. "I think we're done here, let's go." he turned around and took a step and the second he put his foot down, he knew he was in trouble. The floorboards gave out and he felt himself fall. Only the expected crash onto the floor below never came.
"I've got you, I've got you." Buck groaned while trying to drag Tommy out of the hole in the floor. "Almost there."
When Tommy's brain registered what was going on, he did his best to help Buck pull him up.
With one last big effort, Buck hauled him onto solid ground and the two of them collapsed into each other.
"You ok? Are you hurt?" Buck panted.
"I don't think so. Thanks to you." Tommy pushed himself up into a sitting position. "Nice reflexes." he patted Buck's shoulder.
"T-thanks." the other man stammered. "I didn't think... I just... did."
"I'm glad. It would've been a long way down if you hadn't." Tommy said and gave Buck's shoulder a squeeze before letting go.
Buck blushed slightly and ducked his head and Tommy couldn't help but think he looked absolutely adorable.
He was as out and proud as he could be at work, and he wasn't blind. He'd always thought Buck, Evan he reminded himself, was a good looking guy, but he wasn't going to make a move on a coworker, especially not one he wasn't sure was actually into men.
He'd resigned himself to just admiring the guy from afar.
They made it back to the truck without any more trouble and the ride back to the station was quiet. Everyone was tired, and when Tommy checked his watch he realised they'd been working the call for most of the afternoon.
"Well done everyone. I'm taking us offline for an hour." Bobby announced over the comms. "So we have some time to clean up and power up for the next call."
A murmur of appreciation came through the comms as reply.
As soon as Sal had parked the truck, the crew piled out. They kicked their gear off in the bay, ready to step back into for the next call.
"I need a shower." Tommy announced to nobody in particular.
"Do you want me to wash your back, dear?" Sal teased.
"Not today sweetcheeks, I have a headache." Tommy replied with a grin and headed to his locker to grab his shampoo and a clean towel.
There was nobody else in the showers so he enjoyed the fact that he didn't have to share the water pressure with the rest of the crew and scrubbed the soot off his skin.
He cleaned himself up wrapping a towel around his waist when he was done and making his way back to the lockers to get dressed.
Only when he walked in there, he almost ran right into Buck.
"Oh... s-sorry." he stammered. "Di-did you have a nice shower?"
"Sure. Had the whole thing to myself." Tommy replied. He felt the other man's eyes trail over his body and for a second he wondered if he'd missed the signs and Evan Buckley was into men after all.
"T-that's nice. I uh... was looking for laundry. Do you uh want me to take your towel?" he held out his hand.
"Give me a minute to get dressed." Tommy grinned. "I wouldn't want to flash you. Not at work anyway."
"Oh. Oh. Right. Yes. Of course. Sorry. I'll uh... I can turn around."
"It's alright. It's only been used once. I'll just hang it up to dry."
"Oh yeah. Ok. Sure. Sure thing. Yes. I'll... I'll just... go... and let you get dressed."
Tommy smiled as Buck ducked out the locker room.
Maybe he'd ask him out some time. Take him to a club and see if he could make him blush on the dance floor too.
He grabbed the bag with his toiletries to put his stuff away and frowned when he saw a note that definitely hadn't been in there before.
It was just a simple page from a department issued notebook, torn out and folded in half.
I know valentine's day is all about secretly admiring someone and anonymously telling them how you feel, but I want you to know who I am. Just for that tiny chance that you might actually feel the same. That you see me too. That you like me too.
I made reservations at Micelis under your name for this Friday at 8. I hope I'll see you there.
I'll be the one with a red rose.
Love, your valentine
"Jesus Deluca." Tommy muttered. "That's a lot of effort for a prank."
That Friday, he arrived at the restaurant almost 15 minutes late. He'd talked himself in and out of going more than once, but in the end decided a free (because there was no way in hell he was paying to get pranked) dinner with his best friend wasn't a bad way to spend an evening. And maybe he'd go to a bar or a club afterwards. Maybe Sal would want to come along. He could be an asshole sometimes, but he was a good wingman and could usually help him get rid of idiots and get with the guy he did like.
They had a routine that had worked for them since the academy, back when Sal was the only one who knew Tommy was gay, and they only went to gay bars in other cities so they wouldn't risk running into any familiar faces.
"Hi, reservation for Kinard. I don't think my friend is here yet." he told the waitress when he walked in as he looked around for Sal.
"Oh you're here!" she said happily. "We were starting to think he'd been stood up. He's been here since 7.30"
Tommy frowned, wondering why Sal would be there that early when he'd said the reservation was at 8.
He followed the waitress to a table and audibly gasped when he saw not Sal but Evan Buckley sitting at the table, fidgeting with a red plastic rose.
He stood up and smiled when he saw Tommy.
"Hey, you came."
"Just fashionably late." the waitress joked and put two menus on the table. "I'll be back in a minute when you've made your choice, can I get you a drink in the meantime?"
"Uhm just water for me, thanks." Buck told her.
She nodded and gave Tommy an expectant look.
"Oh uh... Just a beer. Whatever is on tap."
"Coming right up." she said happily and all but skipped back to the kitchen.
"You... you left the card in my locker?" Tommy asked as he sat down at the table.
"Y-yeah... uh ... surprise..." Buck said and blushed. "I uh... didn't know how else to get your attention."
"You... wanted my... attention?"
"Yeah... I... I... I like you. Everything I wrote in those cards is true. I just... I didn't know if you were interested and... I uh... was kind of... afraid of asking you out. But then... I thought we had a... uhm... a moment... On that call a few days ago."
"When you saved me in the warehouse."
"Y-yeah... so I just... kind of... stole a notepad from Bobby's office and wrote you that note while you were in the shower. And hoped you'd show up tonight."
"I thought it was Sal playing a prank on me."
Buck bit his lip.
"No. It was me. And it's not a prank."
"I didn't know you were into guys." Tommy said, still trying to process the information.
"It's... new... I guess. I didn't know either. Or... realise. I thought I was checking you out in the gym because of your work out routine... But then I talked to my roommate and he uh... made me think about some things. Like that most straight guys don't check out another guy's ass. " Buck confessed and he was bright red.
"You've been checking me out?"
"Sorry. I'm making it weird. I always do that. I'm sorry. Just... forget I said anything."
"What if I don't want to?"
"Wha-what?"
"I didn't expect to see you here... But I'm not complaining."
"Y-you're not?"
"Evan look at yourself. You're hot, you're adorable... for some reason you like me... If I'd known you liked men I would have asked you out ages ago."
"Really?"
"Well... I don't know if I would have had the nerve to ask you out... but... maybe I would have pushed myself to be brave for a change.
"Y-yeah?"
"Yeah." Tommy confirmed and smiled when Buck put his hand on the table, clearly hoping Tommy would reach out and take it, which he did and rubbed his thumb over the knuckles.
"I was so scared you would turn me down... Since... since we work together and I'm still in my probie year and..." Buck trailed off, not knowing what he was going to say.
"The LAFD doesn't have to know everything." Tommy said after a beat. "We can just... keep this between us for now can't we? Just... enjoy each other's company and see where things go."
Buck smiled.
"Yeah... Yeah ok. That... that sounds nice." he licked his lips and took a deep breath to say something, just when the waitress came back with their drinks.
"Have you come to a decision yet?" she asked in the same happy tone of voice as before.
"Yeah." Tommy said and got up and he saw the brief flicker of panic spread over Evan's face and he realised the other man thought he was leaving. He stepped round the table, leaned down, put two fingers under Evan's chin and gently tilted his face up so he could kiss him. "Was that ok?" he asked after and Evan could only smile and nod. "Good. Because I'd like to do that again."
"I... I would like that." Evan stammered.
"God you're adorable." Tommy murmured and leaned down for another kiss

I tried to write for another character but Shinji LITERALLY stormed into my room, flipped my desk, threw my laptop, broke my phone, spit on me and DEMANDED I write for him again
*
*
*
You'd been stressing and working long hours lately, catching little sleep. Today was another long one, running on only a few hours of rest. It was hardly evening, and you'd surpassed your manic, delirious phase and were now crashing, nodding off, eyes fluttering closed only for you to snap your head back up and force your eyes to remain peeled. Shinji was thoroughly explaining something to you and you could not for the life of you catch a single word he was saying, each one going in one ear and out the other just as quickly. You tried and failed over and over again to focus. Pain stung your tired eyes and your body felt much heavier than usual, nearly impossible to keep upright.
At first, Captain Hirako hadn't noticed, too involved in the work at hand and talking through something with you. It wasn't until he glanced your way again and noticed how lifeless you looked that something wasn't right.
He stopped mid sentence, not that you were conscious enough to notice, "(Y/N)?" He asked, narrowing his eyes skeptically. "Are you feeling alright?"
Hearing your name coming out of his mouth awakened you, at least enough to snap back to attention for the moment. "Hm? Sorry?" You were too tired to even worry about the harsh look he was giving you.
Shinji sighed. "Yeah, that's what I thought."
He stood abruptly from where he sat, approaching you. He got on one knee before you, looking up to you with concern. "Have you been getting enough sleep? Or is something else bothering you?"
"I'm fine, really." You lazily waved a dismissive hand, lying about your unwell state out of habit. "Can you just repeat the last thing you said?"
"I think we should call it a day," he ignored you. "I'll walk you home."
"Captain." You forced yourself to stand, trying to prove that you were of sound mind. You couldn't have yourself getting in trouble. "I don't think that's necessary. The task at hand is more important."
Shinji slowly rose, looking stern. "It is necessary. We can't do quality work if you can hardly stay awake."
He moved away to gather his belongings. You stayed where you were, guilt and worry waking you a little more and adding to your list of pains. It was too late. You were in trouble.
Speaking less formally now and more as his friend, you asked him, "are you mad at me?" You frowned while you waited for him to look at you, shuffling in place nervously.
"Of course I'm not mad," Shinji laughed at your puppy-dog behavior. "Just what kind of a guy do you think I am?"
"I wasn't even listening to you." You hung your head in shame. "I've failed you today."
"Don't be dramatic," he continued. "Taking care of yourself is the most important thing you can do - not this 'task at hand' nonsense you're spewing." You noticed that he had gathered your belongings as well while you were hesitating, holding them along with his. "Let's get going."
You followed him out of the office, a dreamy swell of adoration in your chest. "Oh, thank you."
*
*
*
You stood outside of your door with Shinji. The sun had set a little while ago, painting the landscape in the early stages of darkness. You could still see the Captain perfectly clear, turning to face him.
"Thank you again," you told him, voice coming out soft and wispy in your exhausted state.
"Let's meet again tomorrow at noon," he said seriously, reluctantly passing you your belongings. "Sleep in if you can."
"I will do my best." You forced a smile.
Neither of you moved. "Do you need anything?" Shinji asked gently. "Some tea or medicine to help you sleep?"
You were so tired, you doubted you needed anything to get to bed. "Tea would be nice actually." You supposed you were just looking for a chance to spend more time with him, even if it meant having to stay awake a little longer.
You'd always adored Shinji, and that adoration was further highlighted in moments like this, where he was putting you before your Soul Reaper work, encouraging you to take care of yourself and assisting you there.
He smiled, though it came out in that smirky way of his, like he as holding back laughter. Then he opened your door and went inside like he owned the place and was inviting you in. You followed, haphazardly discarding your belongings along the way.
You sat in your small kitchen as Shinji flowed about to make your tea, asking you simple questions here and there to navigate your kitchen. You were nodding off again when he placed the steaming mug before you, sitting across from you with his own cup to enjoy.
You sat in a comfortable silence with him, sipping tea. You were about halfway through your beverage when Shinji was at your side, his hand on your arm prepared to pull you up. You realized then you had been sitting there with your eyes closed, poised to pass out at any moment sitting in your kitchen.
"Let's get you to bed," he chuckled quietly, his voice sounding distant when you were halfway to the dream world. You loved that voice, trusted that voice. Right now it was a beacon of light for you to follow to get to sleep.
He pulled you out of your chair and stayed glued to your side, holding you upright, as the two of you went the short distance to your bedroom. As soon as you caught sight of your bed you went forward, unceremoniously collapsing onto the mattress.
"Do you have pjs?" He asked you, gesturing to your many drawers, though your face was buried in your comforter.
At the sound of pjs, you shot up, stumbling like a drunk over to the drawer that held your comfortable night clothing. You made quick work of pulling it open and grabbing the first thing on top, which happened to be a rather scandalous, frilly, girly nightdress. Without thinking, immediately after you slammed your dresser shut you began dropping your uniform, undressing right then and there to hurriedly get into the cozy material.
"What are you - you maniac!" Shinji quickly spun around and crossed his arms over his chest. Even if you didn't care or notice, he wasn't going to take advantage of you while you were in such a vulnerable state and watch you while you got naked. He didn't turn back to look at you again until he heard the sound you thumping back into bed, your Soul Reaper uniform left messily where you had dropped it from your body.
His jaw dropped when he saw you, splayed out on your stomach, wearing that ridiculously short gown that hardly covered anything. He felt like he was being tested by the universe, catching the slightest glimpse of your panties peaking out beneath your pajamas as you lay with one leg hiked up and the other hanging straight down.
He sighed in frustration, looking away from your ass and to your defeated figure as a whole atop your mattress. He came forward, scooping you up to pull you further up the bed so he could pull the comforter over you and hide your curves from his view. You stirred and turned to help him, flipping over to tuck your knees in, making room to push your legs under the heap of blankets.
When he saw your frontside, he was sure then. He was definitely being tested. Not only did the nightdress hardly cover your backside, but your cleavage was on full display too, the dainty, girlish fabric hardly covering each of your breasts. Shinji had never seen so much of your body with the modest way you wore your uniform. Now, one of your tits was threatening to spill out of the tiny strap holding it up, and Shinji was torn between looking away and trying to help tuck you in. All the while you were oblivious to his mental struggles, scooting in and pulling the comforter up to your chest, where your breasts were still exposed. Feeling perverted, Shinji grabbed it and yanked it up the rest of the way to your chin.
"Shinji?" You asked with your eyes closed.
"Yeah?" He gulped, prepared for the worst. You were about to call him out for being a perv, for staring at your ass and your tits while you were just so sleepy and oblivious.
But then, "you're the only one looking out for me," you mumbled tiredly and affectionately.
The Captain was able to breathe again, smiling at your cute, delirious talk. "Get some rest, okay?"
You went on. "I'll miss you."
"Miss me?" He laughed quietly.
You'd have never spoken this way to him when you were of right mind. He knew he should tell you to stop talking and go to bed before you spewed something you regretted, but he was too curious and admiring how sweet and fragile you looked and sounded while you were drifting off to sleep, wearing your revealing, princess-like nightdress. He was enjoying seeing this other side of you a little too much to be in such a hurry to leave. Maybe he really was perverted, perverted for your heart for sure.
"Yeah. Until I see you again tomorrow," you explained. "I hope I see you in my dreams."
If he was just as delirious, he'd tell you that he'd miss you too, that he missed you every time you were apart. "You really are tired," he said instead, laughing uncomfortably.
You opened your eyes slightly to watch him. "Will you stay until I fall asleep?" You asked hopefully.
He frowned, at war with himself. "I don't think that will take very long."
"Will you?"
It wasn't possible for him to tel you no when you looked at him like that. "I will."
"Thank you. I-" you wanted to say something badly, but the words never came.
"Yeah?" Shinji raised his eyebrows expectantly, in impatient anticipation.
You shook your head to yourself, fending off whatever thought that was trying to escape. "Thank you," you repeated again, shutting your eyes for the final time tonight.
Shinji was right that it didn't take long for you to fall asleep. He waited and listened for the steady, rhythmic sound of your breathing before rising, stopping to take one last look at your sleeping form, to sear this into his memory. As softly as he could, he reached out to push some stray hairs out of your face, yearning to do more, but knowing that he couldn't.
"Sleep tight, lovebug. I hope I see you in my dreams too."
When you woke the next morning, feeling rested at last, the first thing you noticed was that your room smelt pleasantly like Shinji, bringing back memories of the previous night. The last you remembered was sitting at the kitchen table, having tea with him. You wondered what transpired afterwards, how you got to bed, and were surprised that you were so exhausted you couldn't even properly remember.
When you saw what you were wearing underneath the comforter, you cringed at yourself, hoping that he hadn't seen your pjs and if he had, embarrassed that you had looked so slutty in front of the Captain. The sight of yourself mixed with the ghost of his scent in the room made you feel like a pervert. You were already starting to prepare an explanation for yourself, thinking of telling him it was laundry day, but then, how could you even bring this up to him? Maybe it'd be best to ignore it altogether, pretend like it hadn't happened, though you knew you wouldn't ever be able to forget.
And then when you got out of bed and saw the tea cups in the sink, you were thinking of him again. Shinji Hirako had already invaded your mind nearly every moment of every day, and now he had invaded your personal space as well, making it increasingly difficult to stop thinking of him inappropriately. It made your heart ache with desire and longing, his fleeting scent, his tea cup next to yours. He was just here, and you already missed him, already wanted to see him again. It was agony, having to smell his presence in your home when he wasn't here.
You looked at the clock, remembering his words about meeting at noon. It was still morning. That didn't stop you from pulling on your uniform and robes, scarfing down a quick and simple breakfast, wanting to see him more than you wanted to rest. You headed for his office earlier than you were supposed to. You knew he'd be there already, and you were way too excited.
Something needed to be done about this.

It really would 😭😭😭 Oh man, I ended up imagining this for ages and now I've got far too much to write so I'm gonna try doing this in bullets and see if that limits me at all 😅
Dax spots them on the passenger list as she's checking it for who's coming in, and immediately comms Ben. Ben's in his office with Julian, so Julian hears her say his parents have arrived and asks to be dismissed. Assuming that Julian's going to want to hide from his parents in his quarters, Ben tells him to take all the time he needs.
And immediately, Julian goes to meet his parents, because of course, that's what you do when your parents come to visit you whether or not you asked for them to come. Jadzia, already waiting at the airlock, is very confused to see Julian - but it's too late to do anything because the transport's arrived. She follows Julian's lead in trying to be polite as she greets them, then quickly slips away to comm Benjamin to ask him why he sent Julian down here what's happening?
Ben comms Julian, telling to report to him urgently - please give my apologies to your parents, and ask Lieutenant Dax to find them quarters while I borrow you. Julian returns to Sisko's office, wondering what's wrong... Sisko: Why did you go to meet your parents? Julian: You let me! Sisko: I'd assumed you wouldn't want to see them. Julian: They're my parents. I can't simply not see them. Sisko: After what they did to you, I'd say you had every right in the world to stay away from them. Julian: After what they-- What do you mean by that? Sisko: Lieutenant Dax believes they hit you. Julian: That was years ago, that's not-- She had no right to tell you that, anyway. They've come to visit me, and I don't know why, but I-- You can't stop me from seeing my parents, sir. Sisko: I'm not trying to stop you, Julian. But you don't have to see them, just because they're on the station... Do you want to see them?
Cue Julian going very quiet and becoming very conflicted, until Jadzia interrupts them with a comm to tell them she's found out why his parents had come - for interviews with Dr Zimmerman.
"Interviews," Sisko repeats, mouth set in a thin line of displeasure. "And he never asked you for permission?" Julian's eyes darken, torn between hurt and anger. "He mentioned contacting them, sir," he replies. "I asked him not to. He said he understood." Sisko's mouth tightens. "I think I'd like to have a word with Doctor Zimmerman. Or better yet, his commanding officer."
Sisko gets in touch with Jupiter station, and they tell him that everything was above board, and that Doctor Bashir should ahve raised his objections when he signed the consent form.
... What consent form?
The one Doctor Zimmerman had sent detailing the entire process, which Doctor Bashir had agreed to months ago.
It turns out Zimmerman, tired of waiting for a response that had never came, forged Julian's signature and just went ahead with it. Julian had never got the (several) emails because he'd been a prisoner of the Dominion at the time.
Zimmerman is in a lot of trouble.
Julian still hasn't figured out what he wants to do about his parents though.
DS9 crew at Quark's talking about how weird muscle memory is and Julian chiming in like "Yeah, it's so weird, sometimes I still flinch when Captain Sisko's disappointed in me, and it's been years since I left home haha"

Colors
Who? :- Bachira Meguru x Fem!Reader
Warnings:- Fluff, kinda OOC
♫:- Disco — Surf Curse
Tumblr media
Truly appreciating life can mean looking around yourself, noticing the colors that are woven into every moment of your life. Colors in themselves can have a lot of meaning. Orange can mean the color of the sky when the sun sets, it can mean the leaves of trees starting to wither when autumn rolls around or even the cat you see on the way to your morning commute. Blue can mean the sea you swim with your friends in during summer, the blueberries on the muffins you like to treat yourself to or even the violas you see when you pass by the local flower shop every now and then. Life truly is a colorful experience.
Then why is your canvas still blank?
You have been sitting in your school's art studio for a while now, staring at your still white canvas. You've been demotivated recently, needing to paint but finding no inspiration, no will to do so.
Its been like this for a while now, you spending your last few days before summer break glaring at it, hoping that maybe if your stare was intense enough, a painting would appear right in front of you. You have tried almost everything you could think off; taking a stroll through the more scenic areas of your city, painting still life hoping it would light up the spark in you again, but alas, none of them worked. Lady Luck must have been ignoring you lately.
You are on the verge of tears when Miss Bachira, your arts teacher who also happens to be a renowned artist, taps you on the shoulder. Quickly, you gather yourself up before turning to her.
"Y/n," she smiles, "I would like to have a chat with you, if you do not mind."
"Oh." You blink. "O-of course, Miss."
She gestures for you to follow and then promptly leads you to her office.
"Please, take a seat," her friendly tone still present.
Have I done something? What if I've been hogging the art studio for too long? Am I gonna get in trouble? Or is it my art instead? Is THE Bachira Yu about to tell me how shit of an artist I am? That it was never gonna work out for me? That its so bad it can be deemed an abomina--
"I've noticed that you've been having trouble painting recently", she starts, calmly.
"Oh, yes, I think I've uh.. hit an art block, probably," you answer, trying not to make your nervousness evident in your tone.
"I see, it happens to the best of us. Though that is not entirely the reason why I wanted to talk. I've noticed that there is a lot of potential in you, and I would like to help you by guiding you through your difficulties and giving you a nudge in the right direction when needed. In other words, I would like to tutor you over summer break. Of course, you can say no if you already have plans or if you simply wish not to, I would understand," she looks at you with expectation in her eyes.
You can't believe it. Bachira Yu, one of the most wonderful artists in Japan, wants to tutor you?!
Your shock must be evident, as her smile turns even warmer than before.
You realize she is still expecting an answer.
"Yes, I would love it if you tutored me, thank you so much for the opportunity, Miss Bachira!" you beam.
Maybe, Lady Luck had other plans for you after all.
--
It has been a couple of weeks since summer break started. Your tutoring sessions with Ms.Bachira have been going quite well, too. Seeing her in her element, listening to her talk about her passion as she guides you through her thought processes for her paintings have ignited a spark inside you as well. It makes your fingers itch for a paintbrush, to pick up paint from your palette and smear them onto your canvas until your emotions and thoughts are conveyed on the canvas. Yet, still, your earlier issue persists. Miss Bachira tells you to give it a little more time, to take a moment to live your life so that you may take inspiration from it. Until then, she teaches you various art tips and helps you perfect your style.
You knock thrice before entering her studio apartment, not bothering to wait for her to answer the door as she now keeps it unlocked for you. You enter her studio, placing your bag in its designated spot. Looking around, you realize Miss Bachira isn't in front of the painting shes been working on, like she usually is.
"Miss Bachira?" you call out. "Are you there?"
You wait ten minutes before deciding to go look for her. It's not like she would have minded, as she often asked you to go fetch things for her.
You look in the main bedroom (after knocking, of course) and the living room before heading to the kitchen.
Inside, you spot an open refrigerator door. Confused, you go to close it when a hand touches your shoulder. Startled, you scream, which in turn, makes the perpetuator scream as well. Turning around to get a better look, you see a boy your age with familiar golden eyes and fluffy, brown hair with yellow highlights.
He smiles brightly at you. "You scared me, silly," he laughs.
You eyes are still wide open from the shock.
"You okay?" He tilts his head at you.
"Uh, yes?" you say puzzled. "You are...?"
"Bachira Meguru. Buuut you can just call me Meguru, since you probably call my mom Bachira and it must be pretty weird to have to call two people Bachira, right? I mean, I wouldn't know but I don't think tha--"
You cut him off, because you're sure that if you didn't, he would never shut up.
"I didn't know Miss Bachira had a son." His smile is still as bright as ever. The similarities are undeniable.
"I get why you wouldn't, I'm usually off at Blue Lock, a football camp. You must be Y/n, the girl my mom's tutoring. She's told me a lot about you!"
You blush, flustered. "She has?"
"Yeah, totally, you're definitely her favorite student," he chuckles. "You were looking for her earlier, right? She's just gone to get some paints she ran out off, she should be back soon, though!"
You nod, "I see, thank you for telling me, Meguru."
His smile seems to brighten even more as you call him that. "No problemo~! Hey, I was about to eat some ice cream, do you want some, too?"
"Oh, sure, I guess."
"I only have chocolate though, its the best, my monster agrees," he says pulling out two bowls.
You furrow your brows. "Monster?"
"Yeah, my monster, its my best friend, and its telling me that you have a monster too."
"Oh? Do I need to be exorcised or something?"
"No,no, its a good monster. My monster seems to like yours. I think we're gonna be good friends."
"Well, as long as I don't get possessed or something, sure," you smile back at him.
It was then, that Meguru realized, that he liked you too.
--
As the days pass by, you and Meguru grow closer. It started with him idly sitting in the studio, sometimes throwing a football against a wall and catching it as it bounces back as you paint with his mother. Smiling whenever you two made eye contact, making faces behind his mother's back in order to make you laugh and the occasional compliment on your art skills.
Soon it turned into you staying at the Bachiras for longer than usual. Playing video games together (you were an undefeated champion), trying not to laugh when you two drew portraits of each other (he named his masterpiece 'hyperpigmentation'), even attempting to bake cookies for his mom (you both ended up burning them). He tries to teach you soccer, and you try to teach him how to paint. You talk about your childhoods, why you chose art and he chose soccer. You listen when he tells you about his monster
He doesn't tell you how much he wants to kiss you all those times.
You don't tell him how much your'e starting to like him.
It was when you two were playing Uno, he asked you out.
"Hey, Y/n," he says as he picks up a card.
You hum in response.
"Theres a new Attack on Titan movie out, wanna go watch it with me? I'll buy tickets for us both!"
You blink, surprised. "Huh? You wanna go with...me? Are you sure you don't wanna use that ticket on someone else?"
"Of course I wanna go with you, silly! Its fun when you're around!"
You're blushing, no one has ever said that to you before. "Really? Its quite fun where you are around too, Meguru. Sure, I'll go!"
"Its a date, then!"
You both are too consumed by your own heated faces to notice the other's.
--
You both meet up an hour earlier than the starting time of the movie. He holds your hand as he drags you two to a nearby photo-booth.
He doesn't tell you about how he was panicking to his mother about how to style his hair (she convinced him to do it as he usually does) , whether to wear his overalls or yellow shirt instead (he chooses the shirt) and which pair of shoes to wear (he ends up wearing his usual pair).
You don't tell him how you were pacing in your room, worried if it was only you who were considering this as a date and whether or not this was casual for him. You don't tell him that you used your expensive perfume and spent hours on Pinterest for outfit inspirations.
He pulls you into the photo-booth after you both grab props from the stall outside. The first picture startles you both, neither being ready for it. Next one is of both of you in cat ears. Then come the mustaches, corny peace signs and heart glasses. When the last picture comes around, you gain a sudden burst of confidence and face Meguru to kiss his cheek.
His face turned red. "Where did that come from?" he asks, nervously.
"I-I'm so sorry, I should have aske--" you start, ashamed.
"No,no! Don't be sorry, its okay! I liked it, actually," he interrupts you.
In return, he kisses your cheek as well, even though there is no picture for it.
You take the pictures, a soft smile on your face as you examine them.
Meguru doesn't tell you how beautiful he find you then.
You don't tell him how you'll cherish these photos forever.
--
After the movie, you both find yourselves walking side by side, holding a popsicle each. Your free hands brush each other every now and then as you both recount your favorite moments.
"I really liked today," you say, seemingly out of nowhere.
"I did too!" His signature grin is on his face. "We should go out together more! Maybe we should go to the arcade next time, I'll win you all the plushies! Or maybe to the park, I could teach you how to play football! Or maybe we could have a picnic! Actually--!"
"Calm down," you laugh. "We'll do all of those one at a time, okay?"
He intertwines your finger together. He knows it might ruin your relationship, but he needs to do it now, or else he'll never find the chance again.
It doesn't take long for you notice him looking at you.
"Yeah?"
"Y/n." His face is more serious now.
You listen intently. You notice his golden hues shining. You want to tell him.
"I really like you."
A faint blush sits on your face. "I really like you too, Meguru."
"No, not as friends, as something more." He hesitates, trying to find the words. He knew from the start. When you didn't judge him for his monster, when you didn't make fun him when he couldn't stop talking, when you didn't run away when he wanted to hang out. He knew when he constantly wanted your attention on him, wanted you around all the time, wanted you.
"I don't know how to do this but I want you to know," he looks away as he rubs his neck. "I've liked you for a while now. I want to hold you, kiss you and hang out with you everyday. You make life fun, you make me feel seen, make me feel like I'm worth hanging out with. I know there are other people, people who are normal, who don't have monsters, who aren't weird like me. And it would make sense if you don't feel the same, cuz you can do so much better but--"
"Meguru, don't say that," your tone is stern and you hold his eyes in a glare. "Don't ridicule yourself for being who yourself. You are kinder, funnier and better than most people in every way. I like you too, dummy. I thought the way I was blushing so much was an obvious hint, actually."
You both laugh. This time when he wants to kiss you, he does.
--
This time when you hold your paintbrush, you actually paint. Because now you know how colorful life can be from experience. Yellow is Meguru's hair when you run your fingers through it, the duck plushie he won for you at the arcade and his shirt that you mended for him. Red is your cheeks, the red velvet cake he likes to eat and the strawberries from the picnic. Golden are his irises, his laugh, the way he makes you feel. Blue is the color of the violas he bought you. Brown is the chocolate ice cream you sneak out to eat together.
This time when you finish your painting, it becomes the best one yet. He knows that too.

How do Bear and Lyney Meet?
How do they get together?
Do they have any pet names for each other?
OHHH MY TIME HAS COME..(thanks now I'm going to use you to throw out a lot of stupid info..AND WITH SILLY PICTURES. because, uh I like to draw)
this..looks like it's going to be longer than I planned..oopsuwu
can't guarantee that I've written everything correctly...my english is a nightmare.
ACTUALLY (🤓☝🏻), both of them met a few months after Bernadette arrived at Fontaine, however they did not speak to each other.
Tumblr media
The two began to cross paths frequently, especially since some children related to Lyney started going to listen to Bernadette's stories. (he's a storyteller)
Lyney was the one who started talking to him, small dialogues and exchanges of words every time he went to pick up the children in his care,, sometimes he just stayed to listen the stories from afar.
Despite Lyney's personality and casual attempts to maintain some sort of bond, it actually took quite a while for Bernadette to begin to reciprocate in any way.
Though his personality seems intense, he has never been a very open person and prefers to avoid unnecessary stuff, like anything that makes him feel too observed...naturally trying to cut the conversations and leave.
Still, Lyney was NEVER pushy about anything in particular, letting things go at their pace. slowly the greetings turned into small talk, then long conversations. then outings together, a little help here and there...and they became friends.
HOW THEY ENDED UP TOGETHER IS A COMPLICATED STORY.
Lyney for his part was very open with his feelings, but at the same time he kept a lot of his personal life secret, afraid of harming him. and Bernadette simply denied feeling anything at all. He's not good at processing intense emotions, so not having anyone to talk about it just isolated him.
Oh, and of course, the
"why should I tell you anything about MY life if YOU won't?"
delayed things a little..
The moment that felt like a confession was in a late night conversation they had in secret. It wasn't formal. In fact, the subject wasn't even broached. But it was intimate enough to create a great silence.
(I'm not going to say what it was because in my head I have a whole comic for that OKAAAY??)
Still, after that there was a formal confession, but it was only as a final confirmation.
(the conversation was started by Lyney, the formal confession was made by Bernadette.) (technically my bear did the easy thing) (He already took it for granted so) (yeah)
Tumblr media
After they started dating, the first week was funny to watch..Bernadette was as petrified as a scared goat. (If you don't know how goats look when they get scared, I swear it's funny)
He's not the type of person who reacts extremely SWEET to displays of affection, at least not in a conventional way (he will probably show his affection by making you fall straight to the ground every time you try to walk)
So,, the first few days he looked like a shy kid with his first girlfriend in kindergarten.
Tumblr media
That mood didn't last long (though unlike Lyney, Bernadette is much more cheesy in private....Lyney seems to forget when he's in a public space)
(this was just an excuse to draw bro being the cuddly one) (leave me alone)
OH AND THE PETNAMES.........
Lyney seems to have a shotgun full of those, Bernadette responds more to the word sweetheart than to his own name at this point..All the cheesy shit that comes to your mind, whatever you think Lyney probably said it.
and Bernadette..sometimes uses petnames, BUT he has the habit of just calling him Lyney in a softer tone. he loves his name and thinks it sounds cute enough.
(also calls him honey) (haha its fun, because) (he's a bear) (haha) (haha guys why arent you laughing)
and following on from what I said, this also took him quite a few weeks to do it naturally..Lyney can still VIVIDLY remember his boyfriend of 2 weeks staring at him, in silence, after 4 long minutes of preparation to say something like "hey love" and ending up being a "hey dude"
I'm sorry to whoever is reading this, I got carried away LOL

Fucking hell, Nyx. I have down-shifted my presence on here significantly lately (only tangentially relevant tl;dr: it turns out that the added mental bandwidth from my ADHD meds is not the only thing I need in order to be a good member of a kink community, and I am still working on the rest) so it took me a minute to get caught up, but I have now.
I am really fucking sorry that Socal put you through all of this extremely unhinged, unnecessary, sociopathic shit; I am really fucking glad you had the receipts ready to unload; and I am really really fucking amazed at your fortitude, both in carrying it mostly in silence as long as you did, and in opening up about all of it. I obviously also wish you hadn't had to do either of those things, but that's not news. I reiterate: fucking hell. 😞
(Incidentally: he was the pissant, penny-ante troglodyte shitheel, wasn't he? Your answers to other asks implied you knew who the main anon hater was, and that you'd taken some distance from them. It deserves mentioning that that was the same fucking guy. If someone wrote a character that toxic on an HBO show, people would say it was unrealistic. Fucking hell. 🤮)
I've always felt two ways about sharing community hygiene posts because my blog is tiny and I legitimately can't see that it matters (though I do it anyway) but I also saw the one that said "reblog that shit no matter the size of your blog" so I guess I'm done feeling two ways about it. Do you mind if I add a couple of my own thoughts when I do? They feel really inconsequential, because I have not dealt with anything even remotely like this, but I think I saw a reply saying you appreciated other people's perspectives, so I dunno.
Either way. I am glad you're here and that you continue to be here despite All Of The God-Damned Fucking Bullshit. The community is better for it. I am very evidently not the only one who feels that way, either. Go hug your wife and cuddle your dog and gather some spoons. 🖤
hey there, my dear beloved Thing 💖 it’s so great to hear from you! and i appreciate your empathy and support, very very much.
(incidentally: your suspicion is absolutely indeed on par with mine. the first time i ever received anon hate was during the screenshot fallout i shared when my dog got sick, as i was ignoring his calls and receiving walls of toxic texts from him. the second time was during the additional screenshot fallout i shared when the AUNT convo went down. the next time was after i got married, when i wasn’t speaking to him anymore. and, ever since i ended the connection entirely, ive been getting sporadic anon hate from the same person who just keeps trolling about me “cheating” since im married now etc. lmao, it’s just, the timing??? is way too fucking suspicious and it makes me laugh every single time i think abt it)
i am always open to anyone sharing their thoughts and perspectives! you’re more than welcome to add anything you want to a rb.
thank you for being here. the overwhelming response has been so validating and healing bc i legit only wanted to look out for others, and i’m so grateful that it was received in the way i intended. 💜

second chance. l Frankie "Catfish" Morales
Tumblr media
Summary: you broke up after a quarrel, now you've met again
Warnings: angst, mentioning drug addiction, crying, breakup, mentioned Santi, some fluff at the end
A/N: I had to clear my head. I'm not proud of it, but I had to write something. Be gentle. Thank you for being here and reading these scribbles.
your feedback is very important to me and I want to thank you for all the reblogs, comments and likes. I secretly hope you like this story.🖤 sorry for all the mistakes
[my masterlist][Frankie Morales masterlist]
"Hi, you look good."
You didn't expect those words, but you knew that voice so well that your heart skipped a beat. A strange feeling filled your body, as if someone had suddenly stripped you of all your insides and left you empty. Even though the pub was filled with people, suddenly it was just you and him.
"Hi, Frankie." You replied, trying to keep your voice neutral. "You look good too."
A small smile appeared on his lips, he probably realized that it was just a polite greeting. A greeting for those who know each other. But you were more than that, right?
You didn't expect to meet him in this pub that evening. It was a strange assumption, because after all, you lived in the same city. However, when you break up with someone, and that breakup was like a hurricane and an earthquake in one, you don't usually try to meet them again soon.
And so it was with you and Frankie. Almost a year ago, maybe a little longer. And now he was standing in front of you. In a clean shirt and dark jeans, in a cap you knew so well. Brown eyes stared at you with the same attentiveness as before. He really looked good. Like he had a good night's sleep, eaten a few solid meals and... was clean.
"Do you come here often?" he asked, he noticed you looking around the crowd of people looking for someone with your eyes. "Um, are you here with someone?"
"With a friend." you replied. "Do you remember Sarah?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I remember. A girls' night out?"
"Something like that. But no, I don't come here often. I don't have much free time."
Frankie smiled, and a part of your brain woke up sending you a signal - you loved his smile so much.
"I always thought you worked too much." he said, winking at you.
"That's not it." you looked down and there was silence for a moment.
You felt embarrassed by his presence, but it wasn't uncomfortable. You had worked through all the bad feelings you had when you broke up, and you actually missed him a little. Did it make sense? You had broken your hearts, but you still missed him. Was it masochistic?
"I've been going to school for a while now. You know, I told you about it. Back in the day..."
Frankie's eyes widened with interest as he remembered what you were talking about. "No, shit! Really? That's great! You've wanted to do this for a long time, so good for you."
A warm feeling crept up the back of your neck, but you smiled widely. "Thank you."
Frankie bit his lip and nodded in appreciation. "I've always thought you were incredibly smart. So that's what's taking up so much of your time now? That and work?"
"Yeah. Sometimes I go days without a proper meal or... I'm sorry, that must bore you."
"No! Go on, darling."
The sweet nickname slipped out of his mouth naturally, and it was even more natural when he took your elbow and led you a little to the side so you could talk in peace. The smell of his cologne filled your nostrils, you knew it so well. Your body began to react with pleasant excitement to his presence.
"And what about you? How's life?" you asked.
Frankie adjusted his cap and let out a breath. "Good. Quite good." he replied. "I changed companies, and now I have really good conditions."
"That's great."
"Yeah, I think so too."
It was late when he got home, but he could feel something was wrong from the very beginning. All the lights were on, and the noises coming from the bedroom were rather unusual.
Damn it, you should be asleep already. He didn't feel like starting another row, and they filled these walls almost every day. However, he dragged himself down the hallway and gently pushed the door open.
Frankie didn't expect this. There was an open suitcase on the bed. He noticed a bundle of your clothes thrown into it in disarray. The drawers in the dresser and the wardrobe were open.
He cleared his throat and took a step, but at the same moment you came out of the bathroom carrying your cosmetics in your hands. You stood there paralyzed when you saw Frankie in the doorway.
Your eyes were swollen from crying, but there was something else in them. Anger and stubbornness, determination.
"What's going on?" he asked in a slightly hoarse voice.
You lifted your chin slightly. "What does this look like?" you asked as well, quickly approaching the bed and throwing your things into the suitcase. With a graceful movement you closed it "I'm leaving. It's over."
A cold shiver ran down his spine. He took a few more steps and put his hands on his hips watching you struggle with the latches.
"Come on..." Frankie began "It's late. Let's talk about this."
You didn't react. Something inside him boiled and he grabbed the handle of the suitcase, dragging it across the bed towards him.
"Leave it!" you hissed, catching it and holding it "I'm not joking, Frankie! I'm leaving! I've had enough!"
"What this time?" he replied a little too loudly "You're making a scene!"
Before the words left his mouth he already knew he had overdone it. Your eyes widened in a second.
You reached into your pants pocket and after a moment you threw something at him. The small bag bounced off his broad chest and fell silently to the carpet. He recognized it immediately.
"I found it in the car. You must have dropped it last time." you growled.
"It's not like that..."
"Bullshit!" Tears welled up in your eyes. "I've been hearing the same lies for months! I know exactly why you got fired! I wanted to help you, and you promised me you'd never... Ohhh!"
You grabbed the handle of your suitcase and pulled it to the ground, then headed for the door. You pushed past him without letting him grab your arm. Frankie had taken you to the edge. You'd been together for almost two years, and you really loved him. But his addiction was becoming more important than you. You asked, you wanted to help.
The therapist you found for him told you that Frankie had only been to see him three times before he stopped showing up at all. He told you that he went there regularly. Then there were the problems at work and he got fired, he started coming home later and later, and when you were looking for something that had fallen on the floor of your car and you found that damn bag - you already knew.
Your heart was breaking with every step, but you knew that Frankie needed shock therapy. You knew you couldn't...
"Frankie!"
You almost reached the door when you suddenly lost ground under your feet. Strong arms wrapped around your waist and Frankie lifted you up. You started kicking your legs.
"Let me go!" you screamed.
"You're not going anywhere! You can't!" he thundered, putting you down and turning to face him "You have to listen to me, it's not like that..."
"Shut up! You've been lying all this time! All this time!"
"Not when I said I loved you, hermosa."
"Oh! Cut this shit! This isn't love!" your face was full of rage, you wanted to hurt him, to stick a needle in him so hard that it would hurt him for a long time "You just needed someone to clean up the mess after you! Someone to pat you on the head and let you do all this! You needed a pussy you could fuck!"
There was silence. Frankie's hands were gripping your shoulders tightly, his eyes darkened.
"You know that's not true." he finally said.
"Yeah? And what of what you're saying is true? Nothing. Zero. I wanted to help you, but you don't care at all." you jerked away "Let me go, Frankie."
"You have to listen to me..."
"Let me go! Now!"
His fingers loosened and you slipped out of his hands. You grabbed your suitcase again and this time you reached the door.
"I love you." his resigned voice reached your ears.
"I'm not so sure about that anymore."
You took a sip of beer while listening to Frankie. He seemed excited about his new job, and the energy that flowed from him was simply positive. His hand would occasionally brush your arm or wrist as you both burst out laughing, his eyes looking at you with the tenderness you knew from the beginning of your acquaintance.
"I guess I'll have to go back now." You sighed, glancing at your phone. "I have classes tomorrow."
"Do you like it?" he asked, watching you text your friend back, informing her that you had to leave.
"What do you mean?" you looked up at him. Frankie shrugged.
"Your life. Now. Because it seems to me that you're different. More fulfilled? Happier?"
"I don't know, I haven't thought about it to be honest."
He nodded, his hand shyly finding yours. "Can I give you a lift home?"
You agreed. Maybe you shouldn't have, maybe it was a mistake. But Frankie had somehow found his way to your heart, and you didn't want to part ways with him yet.
"When you left..." he began as you drove through the empty streets towards your apartment "It hit me. Really hard."
You clenched your fingers, but you couldn't look in his direction. But Frankie clearly wanted to talk, maybe he had been waiting for this for a really long time and could finally get it all off his chest.
"I drank for three days. I don't remember much from that period. Santi showed up at my place and... He told me something I'll never forget."
You could barely recognize your own voice. "What did he say?"
Frankie cleared his throat. "He said it was all my fault. That I was dragging you down, and you were trying to keep us both afloat the whole time. He also said that if I wanted you back, that if I loved you at all, I should do something about it."
Something tightened your throat and your eyes stung from the tears that were seeping into your eyelids. The car turned, you were already close to your apartment.
"I went to therapy. Santi took me there twice a week. It was a terrible time. He had to take my phone because I wanted to call you every day. I don't know how I managed to get through it without you."
"But you did it." You dared to look at him, a weak smile appeared on his face. "I'm so proud of you, Frankie."
"Thank you."
The car stopped. Your journey ended, and you got out, feeling like your legs were almost giving out under you. You whispered a quiet "thank you" and "I'm glad I saw you, Frankie." and then feeling like your heart almost jumped out of your chest, you headed for the door.
"I still love you."
You closed your eyes. His voice was clear, determined. You stopped, feeling like you could fall apart at any moment.
"Frankie..." you whispered, but he wouldn't let you do more.
He was right behind you now, you could feel the heat radiating from him. Your body reacted to his closeness.
"I knew you'd be at this pub today."
You turned around and looked at him, surprised. Frankie seemed embarrassed, but he continued.
"I met Sarah a while ago. We talked..."
He noticed a small frown between your eyebrows, "She didn't tell me anything..."
Frankie shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans and shrugged, "I begged her not to tell you. Listen, all this year you were the only thing that kept me alive. I wanted to be clean again, but I also wanted to be able to look you in the eye again. I'm sorry, hermosa... I'm sorry you went through all that with me. It was hell, and you tried so hard to save me."
You couldn't stop the tears that began to flow down your cheeks. You didn't even react when a warm hand touched your cheek and he wiped the tears away with his thumb.
"I still love you, hermosa." Frankie continued. "I don't know if I'll ever be able to stop. But I know I can't expect that from you, not after what I did."
"You hurt me, Frankie..." you sobbed, you saw the pain in his eyes, the same pain you still felt in your heart. "I wanted to save you, I wanted to save us... Maybe I wasn't strong enough?"
"No, it's not like that!" he shook his head, taking your face in both hands. "It wasn't a job for just one person. I understand that now. I'm sorry, I'm sorry I let you down so much."
You instinctively snuggled into his chest. Damn, you missed him so much this year. Almost every day you wondered what was happening to him, or you thought back to the times when everything was fine. There were days when you hated Frankie, when you resented yourself for always having him in your heart. But now you understood - you had to fall apart to understand what was truly important to you.
Frankie stroked your back, repeating silent apologies, and you felt as if all the tension that you had in your body was slowly leaving you.
"You okay?" he asked when you finally pulled away from him, wiping the last tears with your hand and probably completely smudging your mascara.
You nodded, "Yeah. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have..."
"Don't apologize, hermosa. You have nothing to apologize for."
There was silence for a moment. But it wasn't an uncomfortable silence, rather one where you were both trying to gather your thoughts. Finally, you were the first to speak.
"I'm so glad you managed to do all this. I'm really proud of you, Frankie. Now... Now your life will be different, better."
"You think so?" he asked, and you looked at him surprised. "I guess you didn't hear what I said earlier. I love you, and I don't know if I'll ever stop. But I know I can't force you to do anything. You listened to me, that's already a lot. Maybe that's all I deserve."
He must have already accepted it, except that he lost you, because before you could answer anything, he slowly moved towards his car. You watched him, feeling your heart pounding in your chest like crazy. You weren't even aware that you had opened your mouth, only the sound of your voice that cut through the silence brought you back to your senses.
"I'm finishing classes tomorrow after three. If you want to go for coffee, or..."
In an instant Frankie turned around "How about for lunch? You'll definitely be hungry, and you said you haven't been eating very well lately."
You smiled and nodded. "Lunch sounds good."
"Wonderful." He smiled too. That damn smile of his.
"So... Are we in touch?"
"Of course, hermosa."
With a slightly calmer heart you disappeared into the building, feeling that the smile didn't leave your face.
Maybe a second chance really did exist? Maybe you too had a chance for a new beginning...
☆☆☆☆
Thank you for your time.

I guess you could say I like ww2, my favourite part of it honestly or what I would like to study is how people have been surviving during it. I saw documentaries like that on my TV but I'm not here when it plays. I've watched a cartoon about it though, it's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking...if you want, I could send you the link. Apart from that, I guess Russian history too is fascinating, I'm currently learning the Russian Revolution and I'm also trying to learn Russian but I'm not successful at that... History itself is amazing, I wish more people would like it. Studying history where I live, I get comments like 'this is useless, where will it bring you?' Anyway, I've also been studying the first french revolution. However, studying for passion and school is two different things, and as much as I want to think of both as the same it's not very possible. But it's ok, I love history nonetheless and if you asked me things about them I would willingly tell you what I learnt...
By the way, thanks for listening to me :)
I don't know why I have been feeling bored and lonely lately... maybe it's because I had a fight with my irl friend? I dunno...I don't understand why I want to talk to people online.... it's ok I suppose...
I want a friend...I know this post won't be seen but still. I'm a bit lonely, and I would like to bond, this is very stupid I know, and I am playing a dangerous game, and I care,I care about my safety and everything, but for just a moment, I want to talk.

Wild how we know that Elizabeth Woodville was officially appointed to royal councils in her own right during her husband’s reign and fortified the Tower of London in preparation of a siege while 8-months pregnant and had forces gathering at Westminster “in the queen’s name” in 1483 – only for NONE of these things to be even included, let alone explored, in the vast majority of scholarship and historical novels involving her.
#lol I don't remember writing this - I found it when I was searching for something else in my drafts. But it's 100% true so I had to post it.#elizabeth woodville#my post#Imo this is mainly because Elizabeth's negative historiography has always involved both vilification and diminishment in equal measure.#and because her brand of vilification (femme fatale; intriguer) suggests more indirect/“feminine” than legitimate/forceful types of power#It's still bizarre though-you'd think these would be some of the most famous & defining aspects of Elizabeth's life. But apparently not#I guess she only matters when it comes to marrying Edward and Promoting Her Family and scheming against Richard#There is very lacking interest in her beyond those things even in her traditionally negative depictions#And most of her “reassessments” tend to do diminish her so badly she's rendered utterly irrelevant and almost pathetic by the end of it#Even when some of these things *are* mentioned they're never truly emphasized as they should be.#See: her formal appointment in royal councils. It was highly unconventional + entirely unprecedented for queens in the 14th & 15th century#You'd think this would be incredibly important and highlighted when analyzing late medieval queenship in England but apparently not#Historians are more willing to straight-up INVENT positions & roles for so many other late medieval queens/king's mothers that didn't exist#(not getting into this right now it's too long...)#But somehow acknowledging and discussing Elizabeth's ACTUAL formally appointed role is too much for them I guess#She's either subsumed into the general vilification of her family (never mind that they were known as 'the queen's kin' to actual#contemporaries; they were defined by HER not the other way around) or she's rendered utterly insignificant by historians. Often both.#But at the end of the day her individual role and identity often overlooked or downplayed in both scenarios#and ofc I've said this before but - there has literally never been a proper reassessment of Elizabeth's role in 1483-85 TILL DATE#despite the fact that it's such a sensational and well-known time period in medieval England#This isn't even a Wars of the Roses thing. Both Margaret of Anjou and Margaret Beaufort have had multiple different reassessments#of their roles and positions during their respective crises/upheavals by now;#There is simply a distinct lack of interest in reassessing Elizabeth in a similar way and I think this needs to be acknowledged.#Speaking of which - there's also a persistent habit of analyzing her through the context of Margaret of Anjou or Elizabeth of York#(either as a parallel or a foil) rather than as a historical figure in HER OWN RIGHT#that's also too long to get into I just wanted to point it out because I hate it and I think it's utterly senseless#I've so much to say about how all of this affects her portrayal in historical fiction as well but that's going into a whole other tangent#ofc there are other things but these in particular *really* frustrate me#just felt like ranting a bit in the tags because these are all things that I want to individually discuss someday with proper posts...

charlotte tried her best to keep a straight face at tatum's comment but sounds of laughter broke out from her, "i'm not worried about how high i may have to climb. heights don't scare me." how had she missed their goofy personality? someone that made her laugh without even trying. it seemed her professionalism had gotten the better of her and she had not paid enough attention to the person that was quite literally always there for her. tatum was a breath of fresh air in a world that could be so suffocating and if every day with them felt like this carefree and easy, she didn't want it to end.
"just as i thought," she laughed, dimples on her cheeks popping. "these people best get in line and take a number because you're mine and i'm not giving you up that easily." visiting tatum's home town, she couldn't help but wonder why they had chosen to leave. career aspirations? a change of scenery? maybe they just wanted to find something more, something she could relate to. if it were career ambitions, she wondered if there was anything she could do to help them reach their goals. as much as she hated the idea of losing someone like tatum from her team, she didn't want to be the one to hold them back. it only made her curiosity grow for them, wondering why she hadn't paid more attention in the past.
she knew flirting with an employee was wrong but it just felt so damn good, exhilarating even, to hold someone's attention in such a way, to have them react to her for her. tatum's response made her think that they didn't mind what her words may or may not have implied and that caused the playful smirk on her lips to grow a little bigger hearing what they had to say, "you're right, you should be better. i feel almost insulted to be quite frank," she continued to tease, something that was almost too hard to stop at this point. "if you don't watch your step you might find yourself paying interest on the compensation of these benefits." it was almost as if she were holding her breath waiting for tatum to say something and when they did, she bit down on her lip in attempt to hide the smile, "i'll be sure to take care of your delicate heart and i get the feeling that complaints will be non existent."
charlotte's eyes remained soft on them, if she had a dollar for every time someone had said that same phrase to her she'd be rolling in it. there was something about the way tatum spoke that made her truly want to believe that that person was right under her nose. maybe they had been. maybe that person was closer than she thought. "i'm starting to think that." with a shrug of the shoulders, she chuckled, "i think because i always saw my parents so in love, it's just something i've always wanted for myself." charlotte knew she was lucky to have been brought up in a house filled with so much love, hence her mother's passing having such an impact on her. "we do, which i understand. i'm cool with anything too, i just wanted to be sure, that's all. if you ever want to take the lead, i'll follow."
as she'd made her way down stairs, her heart hammered seeing tatum looking down at their phone. they were so sweet, so innocent and she was using them for something illegal, something that wasn't their problem. she could here their sweet mother's voice speaking and it made the guilt feel a little worse. "so do you." tatum looked like a snack if she were truly honest. the kiss to her temple warmed her cheeks as she tried to ignore the pink tint. it was heartwarming that tatum was still so considerate of their parents, that they would still assured them they wouldn't be out late. it was wholesome to say the least. as the older woman offered a hug, charlotte eagerly obliged, thanking the woman for her hospitality.
"it may be. i know i should have asked but it just looked so cozy and i figured since we're suppose to be together, you wouldn't mind —" the actress began to ramble, hoping it was okay that she used it. as the cab moved through town, charlotte did her best to take it all in, her hand slipping into tatum's softly, eyes still curious out the window. as they exited, charlotte pulled some cash out of her bag, offering the one hundred dollar tip to the driver, "thank you, kevin." it was hard to deny charlie felt slightly nervous about going into a small town bar but she trusted tatum and their judgement and now the hand that was placed on her back. as tatum spoke to her, she was glad she had long sleeve clothes on because the goosebumps of having their voice so close her level would have given away just the affect they had on her. "i trust you, tate."
stepping into the bar, charlotte didn't quite know what to expect, instinctively staying much closer to tatum. it was filled with older men, something of a relief. a reminder of the bar in town back home, just a little quieter. charlie couldn't remember the last time she'd been able to casually visit a bar besides the one she grew up around. it gave her a sense of normalcy, a feeling that never failed to bring a smile to her face, "i will have a cocktail but of your recommendation and choice. surprise me." charlotte noticed the younger woman behind the bar, the way she smiled at tatum specifically. it was silly to think they didn't know each other in a town this small. offering a friendly smile to the woman, she watched the two interact, curious. there was a small feeling eating at her that she didn't want to acknowledge. charlotte spencer was not jealous of a small town bartender. it seemed too absurd for words and she internally scolded herself for even entertaining the idea. "hi, i'm charlotte," she finally blurted, raising her hand to shake the woman's awkwardly, "you two went to school together or something?"

"The higher you climb, the higher I'll go." Their comment made no sense, but Tatum was doubling down on their words. Despite the playfulness of their shared banter, Tatum knew that Charlotte was being serious, and so they made an internal promise not to work during this trip. As far as anyone was aware, the happy couple was offline, off the grid; they were unavailable until they were back in the city. A part of Tatum was somewhat relieved. While the two had brief, stolen moments of conversations and soft glances, their interactions were always so formal and always about work. While Tatum knew more about Charlotte than most, they were weirdly excited to learn more in such an intimate and casual setting.
"Oh, so in high demand, it's crazy." Truth be told, the small town was mainly made up of farmers, their wives, and the kids that would eventually take over the family business. It was unusual for people to leave town. Every local store was passed down through generations, and at this point it was almost an unspoken rule to one day take your parent's place. Tatum didn't want that. They dreamt of getting out and moving to the big city. While being a personal assistant definitely hadn't been the goal, they were just happy to be where they wanted to be. Tatum's parents hadn't been all that supportive at first. They found it humorous that the traditionally American couple was more accepting of Tatum's gender and sexuality than their decision to move across the country.
The way Charlotte navigated the context of Tatum's words caused a curious brow to raise. Their head slightly tilting in amusement. Was Charlotte flirting? If so, then it wasn't subtle, but Tatum enjoyed it, bringing a smirk to their lips. "You know what? You're right; I'm sorry. I'm actually the worst assistant; how could I leave my own boss out when it comes to the full package that I have to offer? I promise I'll do better," Tatum thought about their next sentence carefully. Was there a hidden agenda behind their words? Did they want to flirt back? As they explored their options, they decided to take a risk. "Who knows, maybe on this trip I'll let you gain all the benefits, but no complaints, please. My delicate heart won't take it."
"You know what they say, sometimes the right person for you is right under your nose, and you never know it. It's usually the person you least expect." What was happening? Tatum was walking on thin ice, balancing on a tightrope between professional and crossing the line. They were getting a little too comfortable. But Tatum put it down to practice; they wouldn't be acting like Charlotte's assistant if they were engaged. "It doesn't sound lame at all; you're allowed to want what you want, no matter how cheesy it is." While Tatum wasn't a romantic, in the sense of love at first sight, they understood how people craved the idea of it. They wanted that moment of eyes meeting across a crowded room as fireworks set off. Life wasn't a movie, and in Tatum's eyes, you had to work for it. "Boundaries?" Tatum hadn't even thought about that. "I'm cool with anything. We have to make it believable, right?" Honestly, Tatum trusted Charlotte. They weren't strangers, and if they wanted this to actually work, they had to truly act like a couple.
Tatum had figured Charlotte would take a little longer to get ready. The assistant perched on a kitchen stool with their focus on their phone. Technically, they are sticking to their word of no work. While their mom cleaned up the kitchen, Tatum set up an automated message for when anyone sent them an email, letting them know both they and Charlotte were unavailable. Tatum had Charlotte all to themselves, and the thought alone brought a sense of smugness to them. It was a term that not everybody got to enjoy.
Hearing footsteps coming down the stairs, Tatum glanced up as they immediately got to their feet, putting the phone away. While Charlotte always looked incredible, there was something about seeing her so casual that caused Tatum to swallow thickly. "Yeah, let's go, you look great." Tatum reciprocated the touch with a light kiss to Charlotte's temple, causing their mom to grin at the happy couple. "We won't be out late, I promise we will be quiet when we get back." Tatum always felt like a teenager again whenever they visited home. Giving their mom the usual spiel every time they would leave to hang out with friends. After their mom had hugged them both goodbye and told them to have a nice time, Tatum led the way outside.
"Is that my jacket?" Tatum questioned as they left the house, now standing on the porch. They hoped their words hadn't come across as accusations, but more so just genuine curiosity. While Tatum probably wouldn't have noticed, it had been how oversized the jacket actually looked that had given it away. Luckily, the cab didn't take long to arrive, and within ten minutes they pulled up outside of the bar. "Thanks, Kevin, and tell Lucy I said hi, okay?" Tatum spoke to the older man as they handed him the money. They hated being a small-town stereotype, but Tatum had grown up with most people in town.
Getting out of the cab, Tatum instinctively placed a gentle hand on Charlotte's back. It was easier to pretend they were a couple than Tatum thought it would be. "Like I said," Tatum lowered more to Charlotte's level, their voice a little quieter, "nobody is going to recognise you here, but on the off chance that this place is overrun with millennials, I promise we can leave." Tatum had chosen this bar for a reason. But things changed; they hadn't stepped foot in the establishment for years.
"What do you want to drink, oh future wife of mine?" Tatum beamed as they approached the bar. Thankfully, it had been just how Tatum remembered it. It was quiet, save for a few older men dotted about as they enjoyed their daily drinks with friends. Not one had even bothered to look up, refusing to detach from their conversations as they laughed and drank. The couple were the youngest by far, but Tatum just wanted somewhere quiet and out of the way. The bartender smiled politely, greeting them both with a knowing look at Tatum. They had gone to school together, and while the pair never really ran with the same crowds, there was definitely history between them. "Hey Tate, good to see you back in town. What can I get you both?" Tatum lent against the bar with a smile as they put in their order.
