your nuanced take on nicky is SO real especially the part where you pointed out that neil literally feels 1000x more violated by getting drugged (by his literally future life partner so clearly people grow and change !!!) than he does by getting kissed nonconsentually. obviously it makes him uncomfortable but he moves on because it’s like that wasn’t triggering for him it was just a bit gross. as long as that doesn’t happen we keep it pushing. on the other hand being forced into losing control and being unaware of his surroundings (the very thing that has kept him alive all these years) is a million times more triggering to someone like neil but everyone likes the sweep the harm from that under the rug. just because neil eventually understands why (disturbingly understanding guy tbh) doesn’t mean it didn’t affect him at the time. i think people kind of latch on to the fact that andrew drugged him but didn’t like do anything to him while he was vulnerable but that’s only bc neil got himself out of there. sure we know andrew would never sexually assault someone but who knows what he might have done if he had his way that night. i read this fic once where it’s neil’s 3rd or 4th year so his life is well established and then he gets in an accident and gets retrograde amnesia back to the night of the drugging and the fallout is crazy. bc all of the sudden he’s right back in that headspace of like if he distrusts one mf in the entire world it’s andrew. and for good reason! and also this is not andrew hate at all he’s my fucked up little guy but we do have to get real here ppl

okay responding under the cut yayyy i love talking about columbia its my favorite chapter in the first book. sorry for writing you a whole essay btw. also obligatory disclaimer that im not saying u have to like nicky / cant be uncomfortable with him and his actions / that sexual assault is okay / etc

i am once again. bringing up academic work. bcus i am in a crit sexualities class rn and its rlly interesting #mynerdinterests. i've actually already brought up gayle rubin's thinking sex when talking about andrew and jean's treatment in the fandom. and i WILL be doing it again bcus even tho the article is super controversial (and i definitely do not agree with everything rubin says) she gives us some really good vocab surrounding the innate beliefs / values that get drilled into us by american society. she brings up this idea called "the fallacy of the misplaced scale" which is basically that we give sex and sex acts an excess of significance, and that any sort of sexual sin is especially heinous or morally reprehensible.

this general idea is why i think people tend to feel fine with physical violations within media (for example neil getting drugged by andrew) but react more aggressively to any kind of sexual transgression (like nicky assaulting neil). both of these actions are Bad. andrew is taking away neil's ability to protect himself, drugging him against his will, and forcing him into an extremely vulnerable state. nicky is also giving neil drugs (on andrew's orders) with the addition of nonconsensually kissing him to do it. but people focus more heavily on that rather than andrew's actions bcus as you said "he didnt actually do anything" and bcus sexual acts are always elevated above others. i would argue this is also why you see people treat jean's trauma more seriously than kevin's. or why people will write neil getting sexually assaulted in the nest rather than just tortured for the extra angst. it adds an extra level of "seriousness" or "importance" to the violation that's occurred.

i also think one of the reasons people ignore the consequences around andrew drugging neil (or even nix it all together in their rewrites) is because andrew IS the love interest so we obviously get much closer and a much deeper look into his character and motivations than nicky. we also get neil's reactions to them which most people would probably consider abnormal, since he doesn't really care about the kissing and remains friendly with nicky p much immediately after (tho he DOES get rlly uncomfortable about the bed sharing. which i personally think is worse than the kissing by nicky) but he does hate andrew and heavily distrust him post drugging ("dont sleep ill kill you", checking the glass when he goes to eden's next). like even when he's like "wow andrew could hold my truth without flinching yada yada" he's still lowkey hating him for it, before it becomes water under the bridge due to neil's ability to let things go (this is a hashtag certified mary hatfordism. its definitely bcus of his time on the run). anyway wow i just wrote you a bonafide essay. sorry this got off track but i love complex relationships and emotions and sexual situations. and also i love andrew nicky and neil literally my top 3 aftg characters. anyway im saying all this in good faith hope you enjoy anon.

Like i-i've personally know what it's like, for you guys to fucking dissapear entirely like, the nightmare happened and i thought that was it, i was like "fuck well, it's done" and i felt so empty, right?

Phil: I-I genuenly felt like i lost a hardcore world, like- the 5 year world that i lost? that's what it felt like, i was like fucking miserable. And then bad uh- lost dapper like- like in a weird glitch type thing, and that got reverted. But when it happened, you can hear it in his voice like, he was distraught like- theres like a bond that we share even if is playing block game, you know?

Phil: we're just hanging out like, i wanna protect you guys with everything i can. everything i have i wanna protect you with, you know? but... i understand that i can't protect you for everything, so i just try to protect you from that i can, so... You can't tell us, you dont have like a button to press, you don't have- there's like nothing to indicate that you're extremely low on health or in peril, alright?

Phil: So it makes it more stressful for the players and the people watching cuz we dont know, so i have to just be super fucking careful... And just treat it like you're on like barely any heart all the time, just in case

Like the list goes on and on but guys, come on. Will Graham lives by himself with his 7 dogs and takes care of all of them. He's an FBI agent. HE'S LITERALLY KILLED PEOPLE BOTH WITH HIS BARE HANDS AND WITH WEAPONS. THIS MAN IS A SCRUFFY OUTDOORSMAN WHO'S LIKE 6'0" AND MAYBE NOT BUILT BUT DEFINITELY NOT SCRAWNY AND IN NEED OF PROTECTING. I think a lot of people get caught up in the fact that Will Graham is played by Hugh Dancy and he was very much a "pretty boy" character in a lot of stuff before he played Will Graham and this is also exacerbated by Hannibal being played by Mads Mikkelsen who is "slightly taller rugged silver fox European man who is going to fix my daddy issues" and since Will and Hannibal are the main couple a lot of people are like "well they can't both be big tough top guys so obviously it's the guy who's slightly bigger and buffer and older"

Will Graham is a 38 year old FBI criminal profiler who has killed dangerous people with his bare hands, went to prison for some time, masterfully manipulated others, also hunts and fishes, and he's like very good at reading people and their motivations. Incredibly smart everyday man.

Sweet JESUS sometimes the fandom makes him out to be more of a helpless puppy than he really is. Granted, even if he has his moments of mental vulnerability, it's never treated as weak by the show. He's managed to persist through some of the hardest situations. AND LIKE I GET IT, HE'S REALLY PRETTY WHEN HE'S IN PAIN AND SUFFERING BUT HE'S NOT!!! A BABY!!! Anyway I've seen a lot of fandom takes where he's been twinkified to high hell or portrayed as helpless/submissive and often it entirely diminishes that he's a grown fucking person (who has KILLED AND WILL DO IT AGAIN).

My FINAL (thank god) thoughts on The Stolen Throne

After two fucking months I finally finished this book. I'm gonna briefly cover what I thought of the last few chapters and give the overall at the end.

Deep Roads my beloathed, but it was fun that the gang went to Ortan Thaig and got to meet the Legion of the Dead.

Maric, once again I am BEGGING you to stop thinking with your fucking dick. If you two best friends are telling you that this woman is suspicious, FUCKING LISTEN TO THEM

I cannot believe that Loghain and Rowan seriously fucked in the Deep Roads

I feel bad for Katriel in the sense that she was done dirty by the narrative but i'm also like. everyone else got at least 5 times dumber whenever she was around so i'm not super sad she died because it was coming but i am surprised it took this fucking long

also her and maric being all lovey dovey when they BARELY know each other....be fucking for real

Overall. this book is bad. the characters are bad, the only interesting ones get shafted again and again, the misogyny is SO BAD, the writing style sucks ass, if this was supposed to make me like maric or make me fee more sympathetic towards loghain, it failed spetacularly, and anyone who told me this book was good is not going to see heaven. 2/5 because im nice.

I'VE BEEN THINKING OF THEM A LOT, TOO. i, too, am pacing myself to avoid waiting long, long weeks of being idle...i'm a little more than halfway through to catching up in the manga, but i also have a bad habit of purposefully spoiling myself, heh. i'm stuck on chapter 93 because seiko's just so fucking cool.

aira's been progressively maturing throughout the story (word is she's dropped the main character syndrome in the recent chapters, but i couldn't tell you) and i think if she develops romantic feelings for jiji, it would look a lot different than her crush for okarun. aira is comically bold with okarun, but considering jiji's class clown demeanor and their earlier clashes in choices, i think aira would have a tough time admitting her feelings to herself. which makes for a good time for readers, yes.

jiji's crush on momo, on the other hand, while heartfelt and less played for laughs than aira's on okarun, is probably something he could shake off and later make completely platonic. he's emotionally mature like that! if he develops romantic feelings for aira, he would likely treat her the same as usual, maybe with extra attention (think lingering touches, oddly affectionate glances), very subtle, something someone who doesn't know him could brush off as classic friendly jiji. i think he'd learn from his crush on momo, too, shedding some of his unserious tendencies to become braver and more sincere for a new love interest. (lord knows he would need that considering aira's way touchier than momo.)

now if aira got hurt and they have mutual feelings for each other...well. we'll get to see a lot more of assertive and protective jiji, and flustered, faux-aloof aira. in front of jiji, aira would brush off her injuries as scratches and he'd sit her back down, maybe even with a lecture. aira gets overwhelmed, flicks cold water from a nearby cup to shut jiji up by bringing evil eye out. evil eye, perhaps having matured more and having a deeper bond with jiji, would only relay the rest of jiji's lecture in verbatim to aira. big mess. big, fun mess. they'd drive each other crazy, oh my god.

anyway, if this is the direction the mangaka has in mind, then it'll probably be well-written, or at least it would make sense. he's done everything well so far! tatsu, you could literally write anything and i'd agree wholeheartedly. my trust is in your hands...

(originally, this was one big post with all the rat king's, But i decided to split them all up into they're own posts so they all get they're own spotlight and to be easer for me, This has been in development for like 4 fucking day's i'm so happy im finally done with the first part 😭 Let's hope i didn't miss anything and it's all in order) I've finally made paper prototypes of all the rat kings, Mostly cuz I want an excuse to talk about they're lore, Keep in mind that most of these are temporary and will definitely change in the future, These drawings exist to give you an idea of what they resemble, Instead of describing they're appearances I give you a basic design, Anyway let's go! (also, This post has been in the drafts for a while, So if anything seems cluttered and contradictory, It's cuz I changed my mind halfway trough) Let's fucking GO NOW.

First up is Satan King, He is a bat rat from the cave's, Also making him the representative of all bats on Dirt, All kings represent a certain race of rat's for ULTIMATE EQUALITY (Also, In this world, Bats are the same as rats, It's like mlp logic, They're the pegasi to the rats earthpony, And i guess mice would be unicorn's?) (Also, He's lowkey a vampire! Sleeps in coffins, drinks blood, hates sunlight, Yknow, The whole nine yards) He is in charge of the military and police force (Basically protection) of Dirt (Dirt is they're home planet) He's a very...Short-tempered person, Being named after the demon of Wrath for a reason, The reason for his emotions? I have yet to decide, Maybe he feels pressure being a rat king and wants approval from his (dead) parent's? Maybe the stress is getting to him real bad? Or maybe anger issues just run in his family. I drew heavy inspiration from Roxie Richter from Scott Pilgrim (Also my voice claim for him) since, She's one of my favourite Character's writing-wise, A smaller inspiration was Blitzø from Helluva Boss. Design wise, The piercings in his ear's were designed to resemble devil horns (If you squint hard enough i guess) i also added a line onto every rat King's forehead, No real reason lore-wise, Just so i could keep track of who's oldeer and younger) As for what he'd wear, I'd imagine he'd wear like, super cute girly red clothes (Asmodeus got them for him) with armour designed into it, And probably band shirts on off-work days. Other fun facts, Satan's a landscape painter! He is a woman believe it or not (He just uses he/Him pronouns) He's a an absolute lesbian mess, He isn't used to positive attention from cute/hot women so he freaks out whenever he receives any from his wives (I should mention this now, I dunno if I mentioned this in an earlier post or not, But originally i made all the kings siblings, This has changed, They're now all in a polyamorious arranged marriage (Not a toxic one!) They're all either friend's or partners, I changed this so i could give them They're own unique childhood's and backgrounds and stuff) He is very well-versed in every weapon, Since combat is his favourite past-time. He is capable of flight, But due to his age (early 40s or smth) He doesn't do it as often anymore, Back in his prince day, He used to "Race against all the other Bats and he won everytime" (His words, Not mine) Nowadays he just drinks his [Insert Rat friendly beverage here] and reads newspapers, Out of the other King's, He's definitely the most "Evil" Like, He isn't a dictator by any means, He just...Likes violence (In a disney villian way) More than the average rat (He's the one who introduced wrestling/boxing stuff into Dirt) Anyway, What does his magical red (Yet to decide what kind of gemstones he has) eye's do? Well, They contain a toxic blood-like substance that'll burn you're skin upon touching it, Satan's preferred way of distributing it is through lacing his claws with it before clawing at someone, Though he can also release it into the air via shooting it trough his eye's. He was born on February 7th (One day I'll make rat month, year, day's)

That's all for general lore! Now as a finale, here are some Canon facts and headcanons bout him! (in this instance, Headcanon means that if it existed on Dirt, He'd partake in it)

~ He'd listen to Chappel Roan (His favourite song is Red Wine Supernova)

~ He'd love Helluva boss, His favourite Character would be Blitzo

~ His phone is those with the spiral wire (Red of course)

~ He loves chandler's

~ He loves to wear fuzzy stuff

~ He'd love Frank Sinatra (He's an old-fashioned gentleman)

~ He likes milkshakes (He and Asmodeus make them together when bonding)

~ He bakes with Beelzebub and Moss_Mary (They're bros) sometimes, They make stuff like cookies and pies

~ He drinks a lot of coffee

~ He'd love cherry Coca cola

~ His favourite candy is lollipops

~ Every year, He and Belphagor (They're friend's with benefits) deliver gifts during rat Christmas (I'm working on a rat equivalent to the winter holiday and I'll post a lore post as soon as I got it all figured out!) He dresses up as rat santa clause to deliver gifts to the children while Belphagor sneaks in gifts to the other King's without them noticing (Funded by the both of them) And no one knows it's them (Somehow)

~ He LOVES disco's, He doesn't even know why but he always joins Beelzebub (Casual Flirting with eachother at the moment) Whenever she goes out to party.

~ He likes wearing blood redlipstick, Makes him feel pretty (Asmodeus (She was arranged into the marriage very young since her siblings all DIED (Her lore wil drop later) She's basically the daughter to all the King's, Her and Satan have a father/daughter bond going on ) taught him how to apply it properly)

~ He smokes (Both steaks and ciggerates)

~ His favourite food is strawberry, He even has strawberry themed furniture (This is purely due to the ENORMOUS amount of ☆Aesthetic☆ red pictures on Pinterest being strawberries or cherries, I have Pinterest boards of all the rat kings and this guy lives, breathes and loves strawberries 💀)

~ He likes fireworks, During rat new years, he's the type to have like, 20 different mega fireworks that make those images in the sky

~ In his younger day's, He won many races and received many medals and trophies back up in the caves (The home to bat-kind)

WARRIOR CATSSSSSSSSS LETS GOOOOOOOOO ❓️💢

❓️ : fav total background character (im not talking minor characters like say. whitewing or moonlight, i mean cats with like...3 lines tops)

This is sooo hard actually. I think most of mine still fall into minor adjacent cause they get some focus and lines. But I've always really liked Ashfoot, literally one of the only wc map parts I've made was about her. I always thought the windclan family dynamic of her being related to onestar was really fun. She just seems very together and competent and idk, I like that she and her husband were both deputies with a foot suffix.

I also always really liked breezepelt's kids, idk what they ever really got up to in canon but Smokehaze, brindlewing, appleshine and woodsong are such cute names. There's probably a lot to explore with how he'd approach parenting with how he grew up. I also think it's really cute that the older sisters ended up mentoring their younger siblings.

Also not super minor, but I guess semi-minor in terms of how often I see fan stuff for them. Pretty much every side or minor character in Graystripe's vow i really liked. Gremlin, Fury, all of warriorclan. Petunia especially, I think all of them you can draw some really fun parallels with first arc characters, I almost wish we'd gotten some kinda soft reset where we start following them instead of the kinda giant extended never ending conflict we have in the main clans. Fury is the antagonist obviously but I don't think she made any kinda impact on the fandom really, I just think she's fun. At the end when she's mostly defeated and bleeding out she crawls to the top of the high rocks in thunderclan camp and I was hoping soooo fucking bad she'd be deranged enough to just stand up there boasting until she died. Not what happened but it's what happened in my heart, not deep at all as a character I just liked that she got to be kinda crazy.

The entirety of Squirrelflight's hope for 1. It was such a viscerally deeply upsetting book to me.

The scenes of Bramblestar demoting squirrelflight to children's tasks, not letting her leave the camp without telling him because she Challenged him, taking her autonomy away, guilt tripping her, telling her she's selfish for not wanting to kill pregnant woman who is going to leave in Less than a MONTH anyway. The whole book just made me feel crazy. It's crazy how uncharacteristically sadistic every character becomes JUST so squirrelflight can be made to look inconsiderate for Embarrassing her husband in public by telling him they can just Wait for them to leave. And it's worse because it does completely break her down, Bramblestar completely shatters her sense of confidence, her sense of safety and personality ALL for the book to treat it like it was two-sided, all for her to apologize to him for speaking up and then the book ends. I don't think warrior cats has ever written anything more vile than this genuinely.

I remember that scene where she brought one of the sisters, who was dying, into camp for Leafpool to treat. and bramblestar threatened leafpool, his sister-in law and their DOCTOR not to heal an outsider. when squirrelflight argues and protects leafpool, fights for sunrise, bramblestar asks Why are you doing this to me. Guilting her and forcing her to choose between saving a woman's life, protecting her sister, AND listening to him beyond all reason. Choosing anything else except him is Hurting him. That's the framing. And it's crazy bc this isn't normal for warrior cats either, again it's uncharacteristically sadistic, it goes against the code, and it's all so they could write this scene, so bramble could say that, So it would Hurt squirrelflight, and punish her narratively.

You'd think it's intentional writing but then you remember this is the last book he's meant to be Good, because the next arc he's possessed by ashfur and is meant to actually be abusive and possessive and terrifying, which he is. But it's just fucking mortifying that the writer's idea of Bramblestar at his best, at the point where everyone missed him, is this. That they consistently do believe their relationship is healthiest and most equal when she is completely submitting to him.

ANYWAY that;s not even the actual last scene that broke me irt actually reading warrior cats myself LMAO.

it was similar though it was the way they handled shadowsight in the broken code. Similar thing of a character who is being so outrageously abused, other characters around him are suddenly far more sadistic and cruel than they've been before just to further beat him down While also having it be narratively justified.

Anyway it's the scene where Shadowsight, mothwing (i think), lionblaze and willowshine are trying to access the dark forest or starclan to get bramble's spirit back. No one trusts shadowsight, they all literally hate him, especially Lionblaze. Shadowsight offers to go to the dark forest, knowing there's a good chance he'll die there. He does this because he's basically suicidal at this point, so wracked with guilt over unknowingly creating this situation and having everyone Blame him for it that he's like Let me make it right. Lionblaze refuses because he doesn't trust him, so Willowshine offers instead. Willow lies down and closes her eyes so she can dream herself into the dark forest and in one of the fucking rawest scenes they've had in a MINUTE she dies on the spot. Ashfur killed her spirit in the darkforest so fast that barely a minute after she closes her eyes her physical body DIES. Lionblaze immediatelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy blames shadowsight for this and is like it should have been you why did you let this happen. And at that point i was really like. if i keep reading this series I am Actually going to smash my head into a walllllllllll. I think I did finish the book a while later and idk.

It's hard knowing so much of this could be really hard hitting writing about abuse and complex situations. I think the meta of warriors is really interesting, the way the authors misogyny and absurd hate for abuse victims literally warps the world and character morals book by book. The way it literally gets worse as the books continue. I can't stomach reading it myself anymore LMAO. But I also have permanent brain worms for warriors so I still keep up with the character drama in the new books, there's stuff that's really interesting to me. Looking at curlfeather, frostpaw and splashtail's stuff. But yeah

imo the last half of sumeru really helped hoyoverse find their stride, fontaine so far has similar storytelling energy to the whole heist bit of sumeru.

the best thing however might've been the SCORE??? they went out of their league with this one, it's the most fitting, noticable and influential instrumental work they've done in an quest imo

A joy you'd ask such an extensive question: I recorded a quick timelapse (Sorry I don't control the speed on Clip Studio)

I draw with vector layers for line art, meaning I can erase overlapping lines SUPER easy with a Vector eraser:

To make them not highlighted in orange btw (For CSP specifically) I believe you gotta go into "View" and "turn off vector paths".

I usually have a layer behind the characters that is "Grey" so I know where I've colored until I change it to black with protect Alpha.

In GENREAL advice I'd give: Do "Figure drawings" I think they're called. VERY QUICK rough sketches to get a figure/pose down. I draw like a speed demon because I don't focus on "Getting lines perfect" either. Paper is a less forgiving medium, when I was a kid (And even now) i sketch on paper with Pen. NO MISTAKES. WE DIE LIKE MEN. It makes you think a lot more about "How am I gonna do this right the first time" Basically: Your boy is quick, he likes to do it in 1 go and art style is pretty simple. Affective for making comics FAST. Which is what I care about since my stories/dialogue are kinda the highlight not the pictures, they just take my stuff to THE NEXT LEVEL. :)

Lately I've been trying to "Care less" about getting perfect clean line art (Tbh I think I've always cared a little less because SOME PEOPLE SPEND 8 HOURS ON A DRAWING AND HALF THE TIME THEY SPENT WAS ERASING SHIT. I COULD NOT. O.O)

I recommend studying anatomy because it REALLY amped up my abilities to draw the human body better. Full figure drawings, don't run away from things you might be bad at. X'D (Or work with what you do, I am shit at drawing hands, so they'll turn into weird monstrosities but nobody's said anything yet! XD)

Brain Farted Notes: Strong from Fallout 4 in the view of a simp of a poser fan

Strong is just so… He is SUCH a fucking dream boat, man. He's just so cute and lovely, and ohhhhh my god I have never loved an npc this much since ever.

i've literally been playing nothing but fallout 4 the last 4 days, and the moment i came across Strong it was OVERRRRRR ESP with the char i thougth up for the main story campaign. it was literally too perfect

He is so fucking dreamy and deceptively cruel. But like, he's legit good!!! He's kind!!! He likes when you help people, and hates when you turn down helping others!!! He loves his brothers, even if he is pragmatic about getting rid of them if he seems them cowardly or lower than in honour. He protects himself!!! I don't know, something about some of his battle dialogue being "Stop hurting strong!" Is so charming to me, like YES!!! STOP HURTING HIM YOU MONSTER!! He likes dogs even tho he wants to eat them sometimes, he obviously is willing to learn judging by the constant voice lines of 'The world is larger than Strong knew' i hear whenever i travel lol, even if its misguided by the prospect of power. Even after being imprisoned by his brothers for wanting to learn more about the human milk, I dont recall him ever having anymosity toward them personally like ofc he fights and kills them to get out of the tower, but while you're talking to him in the cage strong never looks down or belttiles them sincerely. He's not 'they stupid! Not like strong!' He's just expressing how they dont understand how finding human milk could benefit all mutant kind!!! He doesn't hate them or see them as less than for this, he just feels frustrated they cant see what he sees!!!

Look, Its not like I want to particularly sleep with him, and even if I DID, mutants his kind don't have genitals (not that it matters for me specifically as I'd peg the hell out of him). How I see Strong's romance story line is completely void of sex. Idk, I read some comments about ppl being sad strong doesn't have a romance route, and as I was happy I wasn't the only one, that feeling was quickly squandered when I saw ppl comment like, 'oh, you won't get much out of this lol!! He's got no genitals, so too bad! Guess he's not so attractive now, huh?' And its like, NO! IDGAF THAT HE DONT HAVE A COCK OR PUSSY! I WANNA HUG AND KISS HIM, AND HAVE A CUTE LITTLE HOME TOGETHER AND MAYBE ADOPT 2 KIDS WITH OUR 20 DOGS, AND COMMIT SOME WAR CRIMES FOR OUR DATE NIGHTS IN THE WEEKENDS! YOU DONT GET IT ugh

ALSO! Im not saying that Strong is some gentle giant archetype, or that he's secretly moral or smth. He absolutely loves indiscrimenent killing, he loves being an asshole to humans especially. He's not a secret moralist super mutant or anything. but he's STRONG. He is who he is. Again, in the tower quest, is when I rly got that about him. He doesn't hold it against his brothers for imprisoning him and making fun of him, but he also doesn't change his mind to regain their respect and get let out the cell. He remains with his opinion and semi-respect to Rex for exposing him to the 'secret' of human milk.

like legit, as much as you can love a fictional character. I've paired strong up with this fallout char i made, Jin Kang (Real name Sujin Kang, but its primarily used by girls so he got embarassed by it. his mother named him that bc she thought it was a beautiful name, and his father, who was the one to actually know korean, didnt really care. Eventually he was just called Jin exclusively lol) . Pragmatic, family man, professional and outwardly polite but inwardly hates fucking everyone after what happened with Nora and Shaun. Anyway, yeah, Jin picked up the radio signal sent by Rex from trinity tower and went ahead to raid the tower in the guise of saving someone + codsworth in tow. He goes through the tower killing all the super mutants, and once he reaches Strong, and begins descending the tower, they fight side by side. he thinks that strong isnt bad as a meat shield, also good personal mentality, and once they descend to safety and Strong asks to accompany his journey, and Jin agrees. Codsworth returns to sancturary, and Jin begins to journey with Strong.

they fight more shit, help out some groups on behlaf of minutemen, some bonding in the wasteland, and then, they kill the man who killed Nora and kidnapped Shaun together. Jin sees Strong as a meatshield, but gradually begins to appreciate his self-tailored morals, getting surprised as he learns that Strong enjoys helping people, and through interactions, he can vicariuously live through strong with his rudeness to people, as Jin keeps things polite and 'kind' bc he's the general of the minutemen now, and he takes that responsibility VERY seriously anyway yeah. while, strong sees Jin as extremely annoying for his diplomacy and talk, talk talk, not enough fighting. but the feeling fades the momment Jin fights raiders or enemies, Strong's respect for him outweighs the slow moments fo what he perceives to be boring shit.

BLABLABLA fall in love, its domestic and sweet, and Jin can once again be the family man he was always supposed to be before the, well, fallout. And Strong learns that to be frank, he's also a bit of a family man. Cause community is so important to Strong, he's got kind of a view that species should be loyal to fellow species members, but as he explored outside his species and their colonies, he starts realising that it wasnt species loyalty he was looking for; it was just community loyalty. he just liked community, and sharing species was the easiest way to make one, you know? plus he's super mutant and most other species dont like them, so they huddle together instead. now after being accepted by Jin and (most) the minutemen and their allies, Strong realises that he really just loved the feeling of community. Gradually he comes to enjoy the quiet within houses inbetween killing raiders and shit, seeing it as a, ig, 'booster' for when you ARE in battle, thinking about home and the family you'll return to. He still retains survival of the fittest mindset, but he's more open to respecting diplomatic methods bc Jin kinda taught him that its like an alpha dog move to be able to overwhelm your opponent socially, morally, whatever the fuck, even if he thinks its still below battle, which he belives is the ultimate form of species/community interaction and personal honour.

also, Jin absolutely ADORES Strong btw. This man is head over heels. HEELS. He's so fiercely protective over him, even through Strong is absolutely capable of walking through a barrage of bombs with only a slight frown and grunt. And in a way, i think Jin LEGIT thinks Strong is far more moral, good, than Jin will ever be. Cause Jin only does good things because it's expected of him from his role. But Strong TRULY believes that humans should help humans, he legit likes helping people. Like, if the player refuses to help this kid, strong will literally say to the player: 'Humans should help humans. Not good. Strong not like.' again, species loyality.

now onto Strong's kind of super mutant supremacy and his want to get the human milk of kindness to elevate super mutants and take over the entire earth and dominate everyone else, again, its bc he respects power above all. and he cares for his community insanely, thats why, mixed together, supremacy. He wants his community, which all he's known being super mutants, to overtake the world and dominate because that's the highest form of existence he could picture. But after the whole chara dev i wrote, he STILL wants ultimate global domination, but its not species supremacy. Just his community supremacy. He basically wants Jin to be a dictator lol, but obvi Jin won't really do that, and Strong bugs him about it but doesn't force him or anythin.

Anyway idk. this is just what i made up about Strong as BETHESDA DIDNT GIVE HIM A FUCKING COMPANION QUEST!!!!

And yeah Bailey is very friendly, he's definitely got some trust issues (cough cough fuck you Alan) but he's working through it :) I was definitely a lot less creative with Felix's design, he's sort of a generic vampire, but idk maybe that's a reflection of how he was always pressured to conform with what the Council wanted? (completely making this up on the spot btw lol, most of my worldbuilding is done retrospectively)

As for his age and the camera, yeah 1800s sounds about right (I am. SO bad at remembering what I originally decided. I've had paras whose names changed at least four times.), although I'd say he's loosely familiar with a lot of 20th century technology.. he hasn't been a recluse the WHOLE time lol. Also, you just sent me down a pretty interesting rabbit hole about the history of cameras :) As for the Council, that's definitely a bit older, maybe 1700s (it is surprisingly difficult to find specific dates on the history of vampire hunting so I'm going off of a Nat Geo article and one (1) history blog)

Now I feel like doing my own ranking :)

I started One Piece under a year ago and have juuust started Wano btw. (There will be early Wano spoilers) And I agree that all the strawhats are cool :)

10. (Disqualified?) Jinbe. Sorry. He was cool in the Fishman Island Arc and WCI but I haven't really seen much of him As Part of the Crew yet. Which is why he might be disqualified? Not sure.

Spots 9-6 were really hard to decide but I think its going to be

9. Franky. Still cool(SUPER) AND i also appreciate his take on masculinity and sensitivity. But idk I just don't have strong opinions about him. Solid character tho.

8. Zoro. Or mayne he'd switch with 7 im not sure. But Idk I've never been super into the Stoic Badass types. But he does have a splash of himbo energy, with being dumb and getting lost. I also love the Sanji rivalry lmao

7. Chopper. Hes just so cute and smart and wants to help :)

6. Brook. I love all his shitty jokes about being dead or not having eyes or skin or whatever. Probably my choice of funniest character. I also like that hes a musician. I've never played a violin or piano but I was a band kid and love characters that can play an instrument. Also he can be badass when necessary(and when not asking to see panties 🙄)

5. Luffy. He is just the goodest boy. He cares so much about his crew 🥺 I love how determined he is whenever he wants to do something. And I love that he can just be a silly lil guy outside of battles. I'm currently on the part where Luffy thinks Kaido killed his+Law's whole crews and he is PISSED

4/3. I think I'm going to say these next two are tied. But first I'll talk about Robin. She's really cool and I LOVE her arc in Water 7/ Enies Lobby. I like that she's an academic, into history and archaeology and the poneglyphs. I also LOVE her deadpan morbid moments like "if we end up in the stomach we'll be dissolved by the stomach acid :)"

3/4. Sanji. Before I started watching, I thought he had the coolest design of all the Strawhats. He was good in Baratie and I loved that he was willing to feed a potential enemy because even enemies need food. And his first backstory 🥺 But yeah his schtick got old really quick. It was tolerable before the timeskip but after? Ugh. Get this guy off my screen.

And then WCI happened. And it hurt (in a good way) and I just. I love when a normally strong character BREAKS and we got a lot of that in this arc. We got to see that even though he acts like he only cares about pretty girls, he actually does care a lot about the crew and Zeff. He learned the exploding handcuffs were fake but was willing to let himself be killed at the wedding to protect Zeff and the crew. Even though his father and brothers were horrible to him and that one maid and Reiju and others, he didn't want to just abandon them to die. MY HEART

I think if it weren't for him being Like That around women, he'd 1000% be my favorite character. I was REALLY hoping WCI would change him a bit but so far there's not a huge difference. Regardless, I love Sanji as a character even if I am SO annoyed by him sometimes.

2. Aaanyways, back on track. 2 is Usopp. Yeah he's a bit whiny and scared of things but he still does stuff. He just does it scared. That sounds pretty brave to me. He just lacks confidence, except when making shit up. But he's an incredible sniper, some of those long range battles, they'd be fucked without Usopp. I think its hilarious he keeps falling into grand titles, like Sniper King and GOD Usopp. Partially because of his lies, partially because he's just in the right place at the right time. He's kind of a jack of all trades. He can do a bit of art, gardening, he TRIED to keep up with maintenance on the Merry. Also I like the idea of him and Nami being a snarky gossip duo.

1. Nami! She's been my fave ever since Arlong Park. When she was finally willing to let go of her pride and ask Luffy for help. But she's also very smart and cool. I like how she's interested in science and is able to use it as a weapon with her weather staff. I also just think its funny when she charges her crewmates for certain things. Also she's willing to punch Sanji when he's Like That. And the others when they're being dumb. Sometimes violence is the answer when you're a pirate 🤷‍♀️ the true definition of gaslight gatekepp girlboss, and we love her for it.

MY TOP 10 FAVORITE STRAWHATS

10 Sanji. I don't hate Sanji per se, as whenever he's not being weird around women, I actually like him. The problem is when he's around women. I don't like it. Stop it. Stahp. That being said at least he's cool when he's not around women and his genuine relationships with his crew and Zeff make me happy. I love his rivalry with Zoro

9. Usopp. Oh boy. I HATED him as a kid. I'm still not the biggest fan of him now, either. But he's... fine, and at least he gets better as the show progresses. He does get braver and less cowardly. But I still hate how much of a wuss and braggart he is. Also... his luck annoys me at times, but at least it comes in handy

8. Chopper. He was once one of my favorite straw hats, but as I got older, his naivity and gullibility started inking me. His "We need a doctor " joke was never funny to me either. He's still AWESOME. Don't get me wrong, all the straw hats are. I know my complaints about Usopp and Sanji may make anyone think i think otherwise, but i do geniounly like all the starw hats as characters. But those irks about Chopper are why he's so low. That being said, he's still a great character, and I love how compassionate he is about being a doctor. He's also adorable. I want to hug him.

7. Luffy. He's awesome! I just like the others more, sorry Luffy...I truly hate to put you this low. He's everything I love in an anime protagonist. Stubborn, brave, determined to protect those he loves. He can be smart when he needs to be and is so dang cool. Luffy is one of the best anime protagonists of all time, and I can't wait for him to be king.

6. Zoro. I love that he's not just a badass. He's also kinda dumb, and it makes him more endearing. But he's also still badass and super loyal. Amazing character, feck yeah. His directions gag is pretty funny, too. I also love the idea of three sword styles, and he actually makes it super cool.

5. Franky. Reverse chopper, he used to be one of my least favorites. But my God is he so FUNNY. He is easily the funniest character, in my opinion. He's also super epic, and I love his take on masculinity and how sensitive he is. I will say, tho...not a big fan of his redesign. I also love that he refuses to wear pants. Overall, great character.

4. Nami. She is so awesome. From day one, she was epic and I love that for the most part, she isn't a Damsel in distress. Her take on Fishmen despite what happened to her makes me respect the hell out of her. She's so strong and brave and even kind. She may be greedy, but it makes a lot of sense. Easily one of the best characters.

3. Brook. Look...I may not like his panty thing, but at least it's over fast and isn't as cringy as Sanji's thing. That being said... I admit I'm biased. I tend to like skeleton characters because I think they're cool. And well...Brook is no exception. He's a gentleman, a musician, and has skull jokes! There's so much to like about him!

2. Robin. She's my 2nd favorite character in the whole show. She's so intelligent and mysterious and super freaking cool! I love how she slowly starts to trust the straw hats and build bonds with them. Her character arc is my favorite in the entire show. I cannot stress how much I ADORE her. Amazing character. I will fight anyone on this.

1. Jinbe. Best character in the show, but it's close between him and Robin. Again,... some bias, as I think he's attractive. But I genuinely like him as a character, too. Fishmen are my favorite species in one piece, and I tend to like tackles of racism in media as a species. I liked this about the faunus in RWBY, too. Jinbe is a badass. He's funny and oh so huggable. Oh, and I love how he acts like a gentleman. So polite and well spoken. He's just...so damn cool, too. Love him. I love him so much
