OH I got one!! yakumo and chickens

s o one day, i wished to draw yakumo holding a chicken. just snekboi holding an absolute buff orpington orb of chicken, because it would be, how u say,... grotesquely adorable, yes??

but before i could, i wondered.. is that possible? do chickens like yakumo? or would they sense his snakeyness and hate him? was it ever discussed in the story?

my immediate thought was of those chickens who get hypnotised into a catatonic state when u draw a straight line in front of them. u know all those gifs of the chickens that just go [plop] with HARD FOCUS on the line? and as soon as line was erased, chicken blinked back into existence/Killer Peck mode?

i remember ppl hypothesising that it was bc the lines reminded them of snakes and the chickens were like shhhhh play ded the snakes will want nothing to do with us.

i can;t remember if they ever actually found the answer to that behaviour. i wish i knew. but i don't. so instead i imagined eiden placing a 🧍‍♂️yakumo horizontally in front of a chicken to see if the trance could be replicated

the whole thing made me think about yakumo's relation to animals, especially farm animals, bc idk if his grandparents ever farmed animals or if it was JUST produce. the story so far seems to say vegebls only but *I* want *FARM ANIMALS* and *YAKUMO* ***toGETHER*(*(***** so we continue the train of thought

yakumo has pulled Princess-Snow-White-shenanigans in the past (Idol Fest). those forest animals didn't have a problem rolling up to yakumo just to listen to him sing. i don't remember if exact animals were mentioned in the story, but i'mma assume it was lil guys like rabbits, birds, rodents, deer. i mean... snakes have been known to share habitats with these guys... so it would make sense for some of them to be scared if yakumo's energy is more snake>human.

but then KUYA??? he's a fox. yet he's got parades of adoring forest worshippers everywhere he goes, regardless of predator/prey status. so maybe the vibe of Yokai overrides whatever trophic chain dynamics are supposed to exist in this world. So instead of EEK! A SNAKE/FOX! the animals be like Yokai=cool nature powerbeing let's hang out ?

but then i wonder if the Yokai Vibe is moderated by Yokai expertise. bc kuya of course has way more experience as yokai... he's more likely to embrace his foxy traits than yakumo with his snakey traits (what is this.... a competition of self acceptance now??).. so maybe the animals all trail after kuya bc of his confidence,,, but would they do the same for yakumo who hasn't yet transcended to that Power Strut Aura?

which relates to childhood yakumo. to surrounding animals, what was his vibe? snakey? human? yokai? did it matter? he mentioned that the other snakes used to bully him .. and that people also used to chase him away... so his vibe was. what? like the king cobra who eats other snakes, and can bite people? at this point, it's not like yakumo has the self-control or self-acceptance to consciously manipulate his outward appearance. his vibe is his vibe.

so, in this unsure, untrained, scared snake-self stage of his life, he still appeared as a Threat to other snakes (and probably other animals that typically fear snakes). i imagine that if i were to introduce yakumo to farm animals at this point, they would react like they saw a potentially dangerous snake. chickens angy. cows might stomp u. goats might eat u

and yet Grandma and Grandpa , like many humans, promptly threw convention out the window and went [lol what threat?? he scared. let's give him some soup]] -> for further proof of ppl being like that, look at. any dangerous creature. cute as heck. i'll fawn over apex predators. angry bear incapable of empathy? deserves my respect. sure i'll share my room with a snake if it looks like it's crying . self-preservation? why would i care about that if i have the chance to make the snake less sad??

i mean, farm animals are domesticated so they're supposed to be pretty chill. i like to think that once yakumo spent more time on the farm with a loving family, his energy became more stable and more human. and surely with daily exposure, those farm animals would acclimate to yakumo's presence. maybe even grow to like him if he takes care of them.

THAT IS TO SAY even if the animals initially shun him or treat him like Danger... they eventually associate his energy with the good times. and yakumo would learn how to act around each specific animal so as not to upset them (just like any good zookeeper!!). As both parties build upon their experiences, the likelihood of positive interaction between yakumo and another animal goes up up 🆙☝!!!

IN THE END, ALL THIS MEANS is that, simply bc i like animals, i'm gonna pretend that yakumo's grandparents also farmed creatures (dang, an undertaking for 2 elderly ppl. i know. but this is gay fantasy isekai). ok, maybe more believably, a neighbour farmed animals and yakumo was the only young'n around to help. and because of all that, yakumo has experience dealing with animals.

according to my made-up timeline (😄) if i drew him at human age ~7, it would make sense if it was a pic of a cow chewing on his hair (being bullied by ungulates. he's crying), or chickens pecking him en masse

and if i drew him getting ALONG with those same animals, it would more likely be a yakumo at human age -- well- older than that. he's got some working experience at that point.

(slams fist on table) SO I CAN JUSTIFIABLY Draw A FLUFFY CHICKEN RESTING HAPPILY IN YAKUMO'S ARMS AND IT COULD BE IN-CHARACTER.

i crave interspecies friendships. humans do nonsensical things to befriend other critters. why can't the chickens override their snake fear for this one special boi. it is what i want to see and i will twistturn canon until i see it.

I don't usually like sharing my cringe ass lil concepts 'n character interactions outside of Discord but

how can I deny the idea of a tardigrade of a zombie magical girl who's madly obsessed with hanging out and befriending a cryptid who would absolutely maul her if it could.

Built off the sitcom AU where someone proposed the idea of Alex dying before the asylum break out leaving Clyde alone and emotionally wrecked. For unknown reasons a completely different kind of creature that's neither human nor Veldigun materializes from a portal claiming to be both undead and here for personal business.

God knows why such a weird Earth nuking powered magical girl wants to hang out with one specific veldigun but go off!

There's a few differences I wanted to add as well. I'm tryna make Clyde as accurate as possible so him mourning throughout most of this is less out of Alex and more out of:

"a. I lost the one chance to save my beloved and I'm screwed

b.I don't have any inside intell on him and there's a good chance he's probably dead or gravely injured"

He does kinda mourn Alex but it's very vague emotion wise.

🌠Her motivations are as vague as ever, but in typical Penny chan fashion, she's made the bold claim to help with the original break out plan.

🌠Much like her other interactions with people more demented or feral than her, she's resorted to using the "死神" facade whenever taunting Clyde. Unless she actually starts to feel sympathetic and remorseful.

🌠Despite the teasing and general mild bullying she does genuinely care about his plight and making sure she isn't over promising when it comes to helping out...again.

So! This is one of my oc's Skipper! Who's species is actually my own original species, Deyos! (Or Deyo) I might make it an open species if people want to, but for now it's closed and just for myself.

If you'd like to know more about the species and the world they live in, go on keep reading! For now, here's a bit about Skipper:

His a huge manipulater, gossiper and really smug. His really well known in his world for how good he is at manipulating and for basically knowing about everyone's secrets. (And how many eyes he steals, but you'd have to read about the species on keep reading in order to know more about that). Deyos like to nickname him "The true assistant of the Lord", who was the person that created the species. His eyes are Diamond-shaped and his storing item is his neck warmer. He has angel like wings with thin black pointy spikes on the tips and a black line design. He also has a younger brother called Jasper, that I might draw of aswell if people want that or like the species.

anyways, that's everything I can think of for Skipper. Might edit this post if I come up with more, but i'mma stop here.

Info about the species and the world (IT'S REALLY LONG BTW!):

The species The Deyos (Or 'Deyo' if it's just one of them), is a species made entirely out of negativity. Their entire body is made of a goo-y negative substance, to the point that even their blood is made out of It. (Yes, they have black blood). And have a negative, black type of venom in their fangs or well, teeth, that they use for a specific reason we'll get to in a bit. Appearances All Deyos are different and unique on their appearances. All Deyos take a form of a different type of dog each to look more 'Innocent' and 'trustworthy' (which we'll get to why in a bit). So some Deyos are tall and some are small, but their always bigger then an average human being. Deyos have different type of wings and eyes with a special shape somewhere on their body. (For example: A Deyo with owl-like wings and a square shaped eye on their forehead). While some only just have their og-seeing-eyes, only just wings, or only just those eyes on their body, it's hard to explain without so many examples but basically not all Deyos are the same, some have wings, some don't. Some have the special shaped eyes on their body, some don't. Some have their og-seeing eyes (also what every human has), some don't even have eyes at all. And, because they have black blood, all of their ears, paws, noses, blush, ect, are fully black. Even their eyes are black, to the point it's very rare for a Deyo to have a different eye color besides black. Character

Deyos are usually very agressive and hostile towards eachother, so fights happen pretty much daily. They always steal from eachother, betray eachother, lie, bully, anything you can think of that's rude or agressive. But not all of them are like that of course. Some are more chill and calm, some are more thoughtful and kind, it really depends on the Deyo. Thou, with the way they act, Deyos are VERY intelligent. They have alot of advanced technology, know ALOT of languages, know pretty much everything about history, can do any math problem, ect, ect. Their so intelligent, that they learned how to make technogly on the second day they were created, built villages, to communicate with eachother- BASICALLY, they have way more iq then an average human, like, even the stupidest Deyo is smarter then a human.

Oh and, Deyo's are AMAZING manipulaters. Of course, some are terrible at it, some are decent and some are really good at it, but most of them have experience in manipulation.

Survivablity

So, the way Deyos survive is kinda.. Interesting. They basically steal people's eyes from other worlds in order to survive. The Deyo goes to a different world, find their victim, and after earning their trust (with the help of the Deyo's appearance and their amazing manipulation ability), the Deyo bites into the victim and releases the venom in their teeth/fangs in the victim, making the victim's eyes fade away and appear on the Deyo's storing item, leaving behind a more shadowy feature on the victim's face plus a of negatvity in the victim, making the victim very negative and basically the complete opposite of who they are. The more eyes the Deyos steal and store into their storing item, the longer they live. Of course, not all Deyos take their time to earn the victim's trust. Some just go right for it. Even thou it's common for Deyos to go to other worlds to steal eyes, some just steal eyes from the animals in their world. Of course it doesn't give the same survivability as one from a person, but it really depends on the size of the animal. Either way, their alright. Mainly Deyos without wings do this, or the more chill ones.

Storing Items

Storing Items is a specific special item that's very close and important to the Deyo and stores the eyes they steal, aka, their only way to survive. Storing Items can be any kind of item, from a ring to a goddamm door or something. Of course, it's mainly reccomended to use accessories or something you can actually bring with you at all times. But you probably wonder: "How do they make the eyes they steal, appear on that Storing Item?" Here's how! (A bit of a TW for cutting and blood).

First, they pick out one of their most cherished item. Second, they use any sharp object and cut a bit of their skin open until blood starts coming out. Third, they take their blood and draw a special sign on the cherished item with their blood. Fouth, then a lil scene of negative magic starts surrounding the cherished item, giving the item a more bland and darker version of it's original colors and well, inserts negative magic inside of it. And Fifth, bam! A Storing item to store your tiny stolen whatever-shaped eyes. :) Storing item's are also pretty hard and tough to destroy, even if their really soft like Skipper's neck warmer. You'll have to use specific magic (Like positivity or something) in order to reduce the negativity inside it and turn it back to normal. (And maybe even release the stolen eyes? I'mma have to think more into this!)

The World

This is a huge world where the only season is Winter and snow is everywhere. It has a bunch of winter animals like Polar-bears, lynx's, foxes, rabbits, any you can think of! However, the Deyos only live in one part of the world that has a bunch of snowy mountains, forests and icey rivers. There are mainly two villages in this part! The snowy mountains and the snowy forests. The mountains are where most Deyos with wings live in. The mountains has a bunch of caves that the Deyos use as home, use for training or can use as workshops! There's also a pathway to some of the mountains so wingless Deyos CAN live in the mountains, but it will get tiring most of the time.. Soo.. Forest it is! In the big snowy forest is a village where most wingless Deyos live in! The village has alot of cozy homes, shops, a townsquare, ect! And well, mainly the more chill Deyos live in the village cause it's in a forest, which means it nearer to the animals that they hunt down instead. Plus, they can train on the animals instead of just a dummy in the training caves. And well, that's really it about their world. There's also some rivers around the area, really icey ones so there's like, alot of ice slabs on it. So sometimes Deyos go there to just chill on the big ice slabs. And now.. You're probably wondering. "How do the Deyos go to other worlds exactly?" Well, they use their most cherished thing of all, the portal!

The Portal

This huge portal is located on the very top of the highest mountain. It is held onto by a bunch of big boulders and is made of negative magic. This portal was given to the Deyos by the creator as a lil 'Gift' or something, so the Deyos cherish it alot. This Portal is the main reason the Deyos are able to go to worlds and steal eyes. But how do they get back to their world? Well, Deyos can also summon a mini version of the portal that's about their size. However, they can also use this ability outside their world. So if they try to do it at their world, it'll just start to spark and zap the Deyo. No cheating you lil fool!

Season 1: *after the attempts on MC's life, and over all ambiguity of his feelings and thoughts on MC* proceed with caution

Season 2: *after Arcadia, Luci being a smug lil shit but such a sweet heart when MC returns to Devildom, the amnesia situation, and willingness to sacrifice himself for MC and his brothers* LUCI, LISTEN TO ME LOVE I WOULD DIE FOR YOU WITHOUT HESITATION BABE

Drama Club AU???

Probably already exist but I'mma give my two cents on it too since I live and breathe Broadway productions

Billy being his typical asshole delinquent, stands outside on school grounds smoking, listens to whatever show the theatre department are practicing for

Thinks theatre is gay, ofc

Then he hears him, Steve, sing his part so gloriously like a siren calling for sailors

Billy has to know who the fuck this voice belongs to, hurries in to catch Harrington belt out the last long note of his solo. Holy shit.

Suddenly he wants to be in the gay theatre shit, will absolutely have conflicting thoughts and feelings about it

Will absolutely have to hide the fact that he's hanging with a bunch of homos

He's definitely not into guys too, nope, definitely not into the male lead

Starts out as a stage hand, lifting the props and helping with the heavy lights, because oh Billy fucking works out and lifts shit with barely a sweat ever, hopes Steve is watching, makes sure to pass by to “assert dominance” and not to show off his incredible strength

All the girls here LOVE having Billy around, and hey it ain't too bad to be around them either eh

But he spends more time looking at Steve, watching him and always knows exactly where he is, what if someone needed to know, it’s not like he does

Teases him, flirts obnoxiously (it's not flirting wtf do you mean he's just bullying Steve shut up)

Mistakes his crush on Steve for being jealous to see him in the limelight, get all the praise and how the girls flock to him, too.

One day when he thinks he's all alone, fixing up the backstage, rolling together all the wires n cables n what-not, casually sings and hums all of Steve's parts, not as good but still up there, gets caught by the drama teacher and is asked to audition to be Steve's understudy

Steve now feels threatened, big time, he's still better at singing but Billy's waaaaay more attractive and they're about equally good at acting

The slight “dislike” they've had for each other now an actual rivalry

But Steve's never sick or hurt or anything, so Billy keeps working as a stagehand, too, but has to practice together with Steve to get it right, just in case

Steve hates every second of it, goddamnit now he has to compete with a second possible lead??? And he's gotta show him all the moves and help him learn the lines? Guess he can help him with some vocal lessons too while they’re at it..

And they have to meet up at Steve's place because there's less distractions and no one around to call Billy a faggot and oh it sure is hard to focus for both of them when they're all alone like this

All this time Billy's had to keep up with basketball practice too ofc, gotta live his life normally to avoid people becoming suspicious about anything, especially his dad

There's never any actual conflict with Billy having to choose, because he's good and careful, and the few people that have caught him he just tells he's doing it for the hot horny drama girls, they're real freaks lemme tell ya, or they're too afraid to go talking shit about Billy being into theatre

And I'm not all about that extra unnecessary pressure between two points of interest, it's very “love triangle” and an old old tired trope

Occasionally he does have to choose if he'll go to basket practice or theatre practice, and most always he chooses basketball because that's important to him, too

Not like theatre has become an important part of his life, fuck no, especially not with the preppy lil shit Steve always always always around

But Steve always gets so irritated and upset with Billy when he doesn't show up for practice in the auditorium

And that just gets them fighting ofc, gets them heated

Theatre means everything to Steve, he didn't get accepted to any of the colleges he applied to, he's too stupid, so he really needs this to work and be a great experience for him, so he has a few notches on his belt when he wants to go audition for more serious stuff out there in the world!!!

And Billy understands how worthless Steve feels and he’s sorry that he missed practice again, oh shit, is he in love??? Sure they've been fooling around n shit, that's just hormones and pressure needing to be relieved, tension breaking n shit, and they had grown closer together as well

When opening night of the school play is here, Billy stays backstage and helps with everything he can because this is a big deal for Steve and Billy wants it to be a success and he'll do anything Steve needs, even though he really wants to be out there in the audience to watch

It's all a huge success, standing ovation for Steve and his cast of whoever else, who cares, because Steve is glowing with happiness and excitement and he can't stop smiling and Billy can't stop smiling and feeling proud and...
