Creating Maddie just to be hated by the audience and then die is extremely gross, especially in the context of her being queer. She existed for the sole reason of adding drama between Cait and Vi even though there were already chasms to be bridged in that relationship because of their origins and class difference and Cait's entire arc this season, none of which were really addressed in the end. Between this, the treatment of Isha's character, the misogynoir in both Mel and Sky's cases, the erasure of Sevika, and making Ambessa a one-dimensional villain, I'm so beyond disgusted with the writing this season.

What a disappointment, what a gut-punch, and how offensive. So much for continuing to write dynamic, fleshed-out female characters. So much for good representation.

The other day, I noticed that I no longer had access to Ewan Mitchell Daily, a blog that I was a member of along with a few other Ewan gifmakers. A bit of pondering, digging, and reaching out to another fellow member revealed that we were both removed as members from EMD.

At first, I was pretty mad about that happening to us without any word from the remaining admin until it was revealed to me that the person behind it was Miranda.

You know, formerly a-fall-of-stars and aegonx Miranda, who outed herself as a Trump supporter and left Tumblr when we as a group made it clear that we didn't want to be friends with someone who voted for him?

Miranda is back on a new blog, ink-and-scroll, and she is still running and posting on Ewan Mitchell Daily.

I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I, personally, will no longer be following or reblogging from Ewan Mitchell Daily. Just be careful out there, Ewan Nation!

One thing I can never understand is the hatred Bakugou feels towards Izuku, like what did Izuku do to him? We know that the way his relationship with Izuku is going is entirely his fault. To make matters worse, the fandom keeps making jokes about it, as if the abuse and mistreatment that Bakugou does to Izuku is funny (I'm tired of this fandom that so despises the protagonist of its own story). It would make more sense if Izuku felt anger towards what Bakugou did to him, but as we know, Horikoshi never wants to give his favorite character a bad image.

I wouldn't mind the fandom making light of these things in some amounts if they were able to acknowledge the in-universe ramifications of them.

Izuku gets so much hate for being passive and a crybaby. Besties, why the fuck do you think Izuku is passive? Could it possibly be because he's been the victim of literal hate crimes for over a decade? Could it be the amount of times he's been called worthless? Could it be the physical and verbal abuse he endured for years? Could it be the refusal of the narrative to acknowledge any of his negative feelings in order to make your favorite look better?

Almost every complaint people have about Izuku only exists because of Bakugou's abuse.

Bakugou stans are such hypocrites. He's been given every narrative advantage, every bit of grace by the other characters, and every ounce of toleration despite his horrible personality. But that's fine, right? It's fine when the narrative is going out of its way to prop his character. The minute it does any of that for Izuku, he's a Gary Stu. Fuck outta here.
