I don't think I've actively posted the fic with the truly angsty ending, yet, so I think the closest is probably a bittersweet ending with Still Here. (IronStrange / Stephen & Peter)

Oh not typically to my face, no.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Wait you want me to say nice things about myself? Goddamnit. I used to think dialogue was a weakness of mine, but I think I've improved a lot over the last couple of years since writing scripts necessitated writing solid dialogue, so I'm pretty confident in that, now. I'm also fairly strong where creating lore and histories are concerned; you want me to explain the magic in a universe? I've got you. You want to know the history of a region? I've got that down, too. World-building in general is my bread and butter.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Does "actually finishing a story" count? The reality is, I lose motivation really easily. I function best when I have someone to consistently bat ideas and things back and forth with, otherwise I get severely in my head about things to the detriment of whatever I'm writing. I also rely more heavily on degree modifiers than I should, and while I'm aware of it I still suck at minimizing it.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I find it highly dependent on whose PoV the story is in. If the PoV character doesn't speak the language, I love being just as confused as them by not knowing the language. If the PoV character does speak the language I can be a little more picky about it, unless it's simply a singular word of endearment or something, because those can be difficult to translate even if you know both of the languages. But I have a love of and fascination with languages.

What an excellent question. I'm actually really proud of (Loss Of) Control (WinterBaron). I set out with some really specific goals for what I wanted to accomplish with it, and I mostly succeeded. There's definitely a section that's weaker than the others, but I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone and made an effort to tackle a trope I'd never written in fic, and to tackle an element of that trope that I felt like I wanted to see handled more in depth. And I'm proud of the result.

I try not to get too invested with fiction, but the what...if finale makes me want to puke! I keep telling myself it's fiction, but it feels like an awful nightmare.

If it wasn't for Benedict's incredible acting, I would be done with marvel and Stephen Strange. (I'd just retreat into the beautiful world of fanfic.... which is what I'm gonna do)

Ugh. I had a whole reply here, and my PC blue-screened. 2nd time it's done it in 2 weeks; I'm wondering if the poor thing's starting to die. Anyway, sorry it took me a while to get back to you, my RL crap, blah blah blah, energy, blah blah.

Anyway. My points in my original post were:

I was getting Marvel burnout in early 2022 but I figured it'd be revitalized with MoM

It wasn't and I was sorely disappointed with MoM the longer time passed between viewings.

I was also looking forward to Thor 4, and when that turned out to be a total joke, I stopped looking forward to Marvel stuff until I got proof from others that it was actually good stuff. GOTG 3 is the last film I watched since MoM and I haven't watched a full show since Hawkeye. So, yeah, I'm checked out of MCU and I live through fandom instead. I write my own stories and fix its and I worry less and less about post-Snap canon in fanfic.

What got me through that episode in particular were the wonderful Stephen fans at A Strange Server on Discord. We ranted together in the What If thread we had going and just commiserated in our disappointment regarding the episode and how it was presented. I love this community and it's a great place to be for a Stephen Strange fan.

(The community itself is filled with many types of shippers - CleaStrange, IronStrange, ScarletStrange, FrostStrange, as well as non-shippers such as myself, and generally speaking we try to discourage anti-behavior since everyone has their favorites, though naturally there was some snark against Wanda in MoM and Carter with this last What If episode since those were the characters pitted against him. Snark definitely happens from time to time. The only exception to this anti-rule is that there's really no tolerance towards AI art on the server since it's crafted from stolen material, and the artists present are not shy about pointing out this fact).

No, I don't. Haven't in a long while, actually. The reason is simple: Lack of interest. I've completely lost interest in the MCU. Black Widow was the last installment I saw of it. That, and two episodes of Moon Knight. There was just too much coming out, I wasn't hyped about the spoilers and I had the feeling I had told everything I had to tell about them. (By now I don't even know how many and which movies I missed, let alone shows on D+.)

And, well, I found another fandom I fell in love with. 3, actually.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

That would probably be A Million Is Only a Statistic because of the Major Character Death tag. The story follows Colonel Mackenzie and Major Hepburn from the 1917 film, who sadly do not have a happy ending in the fic.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I mainly try to write Happy Endings because it is what I enjoy the most, so most of my fics are fairly feel-good stories. Maybe...Peace On Earth (Will Come To Stay) because I could have gone for a sadder ending in so many scenes, but I stubbornly stuck to the Everyone Lives happy ending I wanted for the 1917 characters.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, I don't! ♡ My readers are all absolutely amazing and very supportive. If anything, they might express their dislike for some characters in the fandom, but they never spew hate toward them or my writing. I appreciate them all so much ♡

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I haven't posted any, no, but I have started to practice that type of writing, too. I'd like to include small bits of it in future stories as another chance for character exploration, so I like the kind that helps the plot in that way. (So you won't be seeing any PWP from me any time soon haha!)

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I do, but not in the classic sense where characters from two fandoms get to interact in the same world. It's more of an alternate universe take, I think. All of them have been for the 1917 fandom so far, but I think my craziest one so far has to be The Great British Pastry War in which I dumped the 1917 characters into the GBBO competition LOL

Oh gosh, there are just too many. I never really fall out of love with a ship because there are days when I will be struck with a craving for their dynamic or world so I'll look up fics about them. I guess I always return to Ironstrange, Johnlock, Frostcup, and Klance.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Hmm, I really wish to continue my Dwelling Impressions series which is a BBC Ghosts AU for 1917, but it is honestly really low in my WIP list at the moment, to be honest :C

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told it's my dialogue and characterization. The characters really do act and sound like themselves in my stories, and that's something I'm rather grateful to hear. The point of fanfiction is being able to recognize your favorite characters in it, right?

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I've been struggling with descriptions as of late. I got too used to writing simple cues for scripts, so flowery narration and interesting vocabulary have constantly eluded me. I've also been terrible at consistency, so I keep my poor readers waiting for longer than I'd like (but life has been busy so there's nothing much I can do about it orz)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done it a few times. I can speak three languages myself and know a few words in other languages as well, so I know from experience how your language wires can get all tangled in your head. Recently, I've stuck to simply writing the dialogue in English and simply stating in the dialogue tag that the line was spoken in another language for ease of reading.

Whoa, that would have been Naruto way back when Quizilla was still a thing. Maybe some 18 years ago now??? Hot damn.

Oh no, there's been a lot haha! One thing I like about my fanfics is that I will often go back and reread them because I write exactly what I like. That said...I really like In Every Universe, which is my Ironstrange rewrite of Multiverse of Madness, and my ongoing long fic An Outside Chance. Welcome to the IronStrange Family, where chaos and sass are mixed into one! We're glad to have you as part of us. Anyway, I love screaming, babbling, and flailing about Ironstrange, and I've been waiting AGES for someone to ask this, so get ready for a hell of a roller coaster ride on this one.

Disclaimer: the opinions you'll be reading here is mostly due to the influence of multiple fics from this fandom, and most of them are not necessarily canon. I had most of these out of shower thoughts, so please don't mind me as I convey and pour everything I've thought and felt of them in this whole... whatever you call this is.

Honestly I feel that both Tony and Stephen have incredibly similar personalities, both as arrogant and stubborn as the other. But deep inside, they're just fragile and incredibly sensitive beings that have been through enough -- if not, far too much -- things in the world. What they have most in common, though, is that they masked it with arrogance, sarcasm, or humour on the outside. Which is why, I presume, they can easily understand each other very well.

I always think that both Tony and Stephen have some sort of special connection. All their lives, they probably have been searching for someone that could actually fit their standards, someone that could actually keep up, who comes up with nastier and even more sarcastic remarks in conversations for banter, who understand how the world works, who understands their thoughts and way of thinking, both emotionally and logically. And with how similar they are to each other, I find them like two pieces of a puzzle meant to be put into one. Because that's what they are; two broken pieces meant to be together. They complete each other, because they were just meant to be, but the universe wasn't merciful enough to give them a chance to indulge in that fact. About that scene specifically, honestly it just reminds me of how ridiculous it is for us to actually ship two characters in the MCU (comics aside) that technically know nothing of the other. But my actual thoughts about it:

Some fics describe that Stephen has seen millions of different versions of Tony, and that he's quite impressed ('impressed' is definitely an understatement) of how selfless, courageous, and simply beautiful the man is, to the point he fell in love (quite to his dismay) with him. It's probably why he had that haunted look on his face when he raised his finger, because he knew exactly what was to happen, knew exactly that he had to do this so they could win, and it's honestly agonizing how sad the inevitable outcome of that story is. Which is why, we make fanfics! Where we technically ignore whatever is canon and pretend like they love and live happily with each other! But beware, angsty fics do exist (and I'll admit, I love reading it, too, sometimes) and those might make you cry.

I still have a lot to say in storage but, I'll save it for another time. Nevertheless, I hope that answers your questions! P.S., I happen to be a non-native english speaker, too, so don't worry about making mistakes :)

I liked Steve/Alicia a lot. I don't see it shipped much because McDanno is so awesome... like, why mess with a good thing. But of all the women that came into Steve's life, I liked the idea of Alicia best for him. I think there's lots of potential for Hurt/Comfort on both sides. They're both emotionally vulnerable when they meet. I find her more down to earth than some of the others. They've been through some serious SHIT together. I just.... like them a lot. The idea of Steve going over to her place and making her a nice dinner... and it progresses REALLY slowly. Yes. I love it.

I guess the closest is McRollins. I love them both separately. I just don't ship them together. They've hurt each other too many times... I just feel like they're not fixable and they're bad for each other... much like *ahem* Danny and Rachel.

Kono and Danny are my BroTP for life. I love them so much. I love that they let go of the attraction between them in the narrative REALLY quickly. And that Danny just starts to see her as his badass coworker and friend instead. When the show first started I was worried it was going to become this annoying awful dynamic between them, Danny drooling over the hot girl all the time. So I was REALLY glad when they became best bros instead.

I will say this is tied with Steve and Chin... because I cannot tell you how hard I fucking cried when Steve is in surgery and Chin is telling the story about how they used to meet in the middle of the night for coffee and not even talk, just be together so they didn't have to be alone!!!!! My absolute fucking HEART!

I'm such a multishipper here that I honestly don't know that there are many answers for me... I guess most of the other Avengers with Spiderman... I just feel like Tom Holland does such an AMAZING job at playing Spiderman as young and naive that I think it would feel really weird to pair him up with any of them. It would feel like some sort of odd relationship dynamic with hero worship involved that I don't think I would care for. Same with Kate Bishop/Clint Barton... I'm not a fan of that older mentor/student dynamic in a ship.

spideypool is the big one, and why it's, like, the most popular spidey ship is definitely something i'll never understand. peter and wade are not at all compatible personality-wise; in fact, wade is pretty much antithetical to a lot of what peter stands for? also wade harrasses him on the regular. it's a no from me.

there are a lot of mcu ships that fall into this category for me, too; things like ironstrange and thorquill that basically amount to "two dudes stood there and talked for a second, and were vaguely antagonistic toward each other" that people somehow want to interpret as any modicum of chemistry, like. ok.

i don't get stucky in any universe as a romantic pairing. in mcu it's not a romance. mcu stans bringing it to the comics as a romance is definitely weird (and also shows that they don't read comics).

I came here to say thank you for your dedication on writing stephen-centric fics (especially the whumpy/angsty ones). There's a lack of fics out there with stephen being one of the main chars that don't involve the author putting him as a 'plot-setter' to give other characters more 'spotlight'. I love all marvel characters, I really do, but sometimes when I try to find anything to read from the Stephen Strange fandom or alike, it never really fulfills my craving/reaches my expectations. Especially with ironstrange being an extremely famous ship. :/ I may come out more of like an ass on this one, but I really hate fics that make Stephen ooc just bcs. I dunno. To give their fav char the stage? And ppl praise those fics. Say they were good. It's super annoying tbh. I'm probably just biased, idk.

So yeah, thanks for writing your fics. I would really have given up on this fandom if it weren't for you. Real grateful.

Always great to see another fan of Stephen whump around. PEOPLE, he's so whumpy! Tony and Peter get wayyyy too much whump in fics where the three show up, and in Loki & Stephen fics, it's usually Loki getting the whumping treatment. Whumping the *competent doctor* is way, way more fun. Trust me. I know there's a lot of whumpy writers in the MCU, give Stephen some of your whumpy love. Please. Also, you opened a can of worms with that last comment, because I agree with you and it's been like, a year since I made a comment on this on tumblr, so it's about time I made another one, ahahahah.

Warning: superrrr critical of anti-character writers/Civil War Team Iron Man Only writers below. Sorry if you, the person reading this, are included in that group. I just don't think it's good stuff and bad for the fandom--and my blog, my opinion space sorta thing. But this doesn't mean I think you're any less valuable, or less moral, as a person. This is still just fiction we're talking about.

There's definitely a segment of IronStrange fics that make Stephen OOC. I'm thankful that it's not all of them, but there's still enough to make a Stephen fan just annoyed. It's one reason I refuse to read non-Team Cap friendly fics, or any fic labeled "Civil War Team Iron Man", because 9 times out of 10, Stephen's just a prop character in those instead of a character with his own agency and beliefs. And usually Tony's made into this perfect messiah type character which is just *weird* for a guy who did make his fortune off weapons, like the writers are willfully ignoring that. And beyond that, Tony's definitely a flawed char, which is one reason I enjoy him as a character. Exploring his foibles is one of the best parts of writing from his POV. So making him perfect as anti-fics/Team Iron Man fics tend to do? Not my cup of tea.

There's a tendency to make Steve's character stupid or a bully which is just more bad writing, even worse than what Endgame did to him (talk about bad writing). Folks can write what they want, but I have yet to read a good anti-character-fic that keeps the characters true to their characters instead of serving as some sort of mouth piece for the author which is just poor writing. It may be popular, but there's a *lot* of really badly written books in the NYT Best Sellers, so popular doesn't mean good!

Also, it's not to say that these writers aren't capable of writing better, as I will see their other works and see that, yeah, they can write in a more nuanced POV or have a technical ability that's already present. But they've surrounded themselves with opinions and meta that fit their mold and their mold only and, well, handicap their own growth and their talent by sticking to OOC characterizations. It's their choice, of course, but I find it baffling because they stick to it for *years and years* and I'm still of the opinion that that's not healthy. It's 2022; Civil War came out 6 years ago. It's time to expand your horizons, and probably rewatch the film because you don't remember it as how it really happened if you're still sticking with the old, tired tropes these fics tend to have.

I did almost leave the fandom at one point and delete all my fics in a dark place at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020 (before the pandemic) because I was so tired of this trend to only IronStrange and the amount of vitriol in many of those stories. Thankfully other senses prevailed, and I got some outside assistance that helped make me realize that I still had a place in fandom, even if my opinion was a minority opinion. And asks like yours let me know I made the right choice in sticking around.

I actually have been obsessing over your works about Drpepperony on Ao3 for a while now (its amazing! Not just the ideas cause they are on point but even your writing is so beautiful, thank you soooo much for uploading them btw. It always brings me joy to read them and on sad days I find myself gravitating towards your written work.) I've realised you don't really post drpepperony anymore and I can't find anything similar on your tumblr either. Have you lost interest in the theme? I did read a post you had tagged about your account being gone and I'm so sorry for all the hurt and terror that must have caused. So, first of all sorry that it took me a couple of days to get to this lovely ask of yours. Second, thank you so much! 💜 I'm so happy you like my drpepperony stories! They are such an cute OT3 but I'm sorry to say that I have lost interest, along with the whole of the MCU. I haven't kept track of any of it for a while now. (Black Widow and the first two episodes of Moon Knight were the last two things I saw of it.)

I've been writing in other fandoms until recently. Things are going on and writing is not really happening anymore. I hope it will return one day, for whatever fandom. I'd like to finish at least the 3 The Untamed WIPs I have lying around; I see no chance for the MCU WIPs that are sleeping on my computer.

While I was still holding on for a while after Endgame my love for it was starting to fade after that movie. I still have one unposted Ironstrange (not drpepperony, sorry!) story lying around, actually.

Yes, I managed to nuke my account twice in a row while trying to answer an ask a couple of years ago. That was a weird bug and I'm glad I got it back - yes, it was rather stressfull at the time and I would have been heartbroken if I had lost this blog. While my actual stories are backed up a couple of times many of the headcannony stuff is only here. I should probably change that but that requires more time, energy and brainpower than I currently have. Let's hope this site doesn't implode anytime soon.

Which brings me to your question of there being drpepperony on my blog. There actually is! I don't know if you did a bit of tag crawling here or not but I have snippets and headcanon style written things for them here.
