IN STARS AND TIME THE HIT INDIE GAME OUT NOW FOR PC ON STEAM AND ITCH.IO AS WELL AS PLAYSTATION AND NINTENDO SWITCH

you play as a funky lil fella names siffrin (the guy in the wizard hat) and they and their friends gotta defeat the king to save the country!! he's been stopping everyone in time and it really sucks of him.

except it goes wrong. and sif dies. and sif wakes up. and now he gets to fix all of his mistakes!!! isn't that epic!!

the main cast is INCREDIBLY charming i love them (i was already a big fan of the standalone demo game so i'm biased) BUT isat itself also writes them so good and aurgh i wanna hug all of them.

the game is BIG on character interaction and writing. a lot of times your rewards for a puzzle is seeing the main characters goof off and i love it!! every time!!!

the game also has a literal rock-paper-scissors battle system which while simple is a lot of fun actually? it works. not the best thing ever but it's fun enough and doesn't drag the experience down

the switch version of the game does stutter a bit whenever battles start but i got used to it

go watch the trailer to see how great the artstyle is also. i LOVE siffrin (again, the demo "start again start again start again: a prologue" was also marvelous [and that game is on sale for less than 3 bucks on steam rn]) and they're so.. aurgh. squeezes them like a stressball. he's literally perfect for this game. i mean. i already wrote abt it.

the core gameplay loop is, pardon the pun, the timeloop. you gotta explore and explore again and find the little tidbits to make it work and progress. talk to the right people, get the right items - it sounds overwhelming, but isnt very, since the game hands you plenty of tools to make it easier, and the explorable area is small enough to not be daunting. if you forget something, don't feel bad - siffrin also didn't remember.

i just hit act 3 which is when the meat of the plot begins but it took me uhhh sixteen hours to get there which may be bcuz i read the sleepover scene like 10 times bcuz it's cute.

if you love explorin and puzzles and cute fleshed out naturalistic characters and great worldbuilding and fun art and gay people (wow!!!!) this is the game for you

if you hate repetition and digging for scraps of change then this is not the game for you. but i love digging. so this is perfect for me, actually

Hello and sorry for being late again. Here's round 12, we have 5 games left! I've been busy with uni stuff :"D Skyward Sword lost to botw and Majora, I could see how this was going since round 10, but honestly I'm really sad it went like this. SkSw is my favorite after all, followed by Majora, and I think Majora or botw are going to lose this round :( There's still wind waker I'd like to yeet, I played the gc version and left out of boredom tbh.

A little off topic: I and a group of friends are making a video game for an exam! It isn't related to Zelda but it's an action-adventure. I'd love to get some feedback on the idea, and I made a survey. It's anonymous so you won't be tracked in any way! I mostly need people from 12 to 18 years old but really anyone is fine. When we have a demo, we'll most likely share it to get more feedback. I'd be really glad if you take a moment to take the survey! Thanks in advance :D

So, about SkSw! I really feel like people need to play it, and with motion controls if they can (mostly because I played it on the wii). With the motion controls I felt like I was really in control of Link's actions, movements, and story, it felt way more "real" and personal than any other game. The music is the best imo, you can really hear the orchestra! Also Zelda isn't a princess but a knight academy student, she can fight! And we have character development with Groose and an unlikely enemy that's Ghirahim. Yes you go to the same area more times but each time it's a different zone. In OoT you visit each area 2 times, and nothing has changed in appearance. Also SkSw is one of the few games in which Zelink can be considered "canon", the others being Spirit Tracks, TotK, Hyrule Warriors.

Just played the demo. What do I say to this? Imaculate, flawless vibes. Perfect atmosphere. Just a pitch-perfect combo of the creepiest in silent-hills 90s environment and camera work, and the gayest neon colored weirdness imaginable. I love it so much. I can't wait to play the whole thing.

I've had it wishlisted since you first put it on Steam (I was like "wait, there's a cbedford videogame now👀?"), so rn all I can do is point my friends to it - I'm sure they will enjoy it!

A question, if I may - how "finished" would you say the game is on the whole? Are there assets missing from the demo that will be present in the main game? I thought the character portrait of Jenny was very conspicuously different from the others, for instance. It's kinda fitting with how shallow her personality is - will she be getting a different one for the final version?

last thing - I love that the guns growl when you reload them. Thank you for that. I'm off to read your comics

Firstly, thank you this means everything to me

Secondly, the demo is very much a small part of the entire game. There is a whole slew of characters to interact with and other locations to go to. The section that is in the demo represents how we would like the entire game to feel in terms of level of polish , but of course, there is still room for some things to change in that regard. And yes, Jenny will have a proper portrait on full release! It feels pretty crazy how rapidly things have to form while making games, so a lot of stuff gets made out of order, kind of like a film - so even though I was able to make most of the portraits needed for this slice of the game, Jenny came in really late in comparison, so her portrait won't be painted until probably the end of production! Which kills me because I miss painting so much and wince a little whenever the place holder portraits appear for certain characters lol. Thanks again so so much for playing it, like seriously. The stress is REAL so every single bit of niceness has really helped with my mental health and recovery from trying to get the demo out! I honestly can't wait to show off more <333 ) P.S. I hope you enjoy the comics too haha!

I don't remember what I was gonna talk about the other day but the days that i forgot to post were pretty good. Ive been working on beating Freedom Planet so I can justify buying the second one because the second one looks much better. The first one has really great level design and fuck awful boss fights but overall I'm enjoying it. I beat Ufouria 2 that game rules. Ive been living in the Chao Garden every moment I get

Yesterday i joined the Mino Dev discord server, which is the person who made Maiden & Spell, and is currently working on Rabbit and Steel. Today I talked in there a little and everyone was very friendly. I asked the Maiden & Spell guys (fully aware of the answer) if anyone plays on switch, and everyone started reacting with emotes, and I was just like hehe. Apparently the switch version is a few patches behind and I think in the role bot channel I saw only like 25 people even have the switch role, but the game is on sale on steam for $6 rn so I was like its cool I'll buy it, and then someone in the server gifted it to me lol. So now i gotta play with them. And I think i was getting recruited into a cult or something cuz everyone said they were scheming, and the person said it was not a gift, it was an investment, and I was like whatever dude I'll walk right into a scheme I dont give a fuck

I need to play more of Rabbit and Steel so i can interact with those guys cuz honestly I feel like long term I'm gonna spend more time with that one. Idk if I talked about either of these games on here but Maiden is a bullet hell versus game with cute girls, and Rabbit is a 4 player co-op MMO raid style bullet hell roguelite. Its really interesting. We played the demo last night and it was a lot of fun, it just needs some more sound effects for things and it'll be amazing. I'm still new to this genre in general so I'm having to train my mind to be able to deal with bullet patterns but its fun

I think i'm falling into that dumbass mentality of worrying about my age cuz i'm almost 30 now and starting to question if thats affecting my reaction time but thats stupid and dumb and 30 is not old. I think i just feel old because I'm working to death and never sleeping. Anyway time to go shower at 4am

At this point it's too early to say anything definitive about what would happen to the Dashingdon demo, but I can at least promise that Volume 1 (Chapters 1-7) would be completed in ChoiceScript first before I start fully working on the VN.

The code conversion process (at least porting the choices over) is actually easy (just fairly tedious) so I might continue working on CS, but it's also extra work that I'm not sure would be worth it.

Ooooh I have phases with quite a few. So far it seems to be seasons between Phantom, Hamilton, Les Mis, and a new musical that becomes the only thing I listen to for two weeks(rn it's Encanto). I can rely on getting hyperfixated on Hamilton for a solid few months though.

Hm I cry a lot. Bawling, nothing held back, tears streaming down my face? Les Miserable. It's the most consistently sad musical I can think of. (Heights normally gets me crying by the end of the opening number, though, and then I'm just a sniffling mess for the rest of the experience, but those are for totally different reasons)

Okay so Dolores's part in We Don't Talk About Bruno is just to perfect, the quick and hushed tone BUT ADDITIONALLY the music itself is just so her, with this drum and constant low maraca-sounding thing that just adds to the whole vibe. The way you can tell each character from the music. Plus Bruno has this flute noise that plays when they say his name (outside of when they're saying the title of the song). anD ALL THESE MUSICAL ASPECTS COME TOGETHER AT THE END, the instrumental is just OUT of this world!!!!

Okay and the fact that they are all different melodies and beat but on the same, as LMM said, musical landscape and they manage to harmonize with each other???? Like??? WHO THINKS OF THAT!? HE WROTE THIS IN A WEEK, AND CAME UP WITH THE FIRST (full demo and everything) PIANO BITS IN LITERAL SECONDS!

And he started out as a sophomore writing a musical about his neighborhood, just wanting to write something that he would want to be in. The musical in question grew from a story of a love triangle told through 20 min musical with two songs to one of, arguably, the most influential and revolutionary musicals that, not just Broadway, but all of musical theater has ever seen. Fascinating.
