Why do I get anxious about things I should technically be happy for? I just applied for a dream job (or at least it will be a dream job if I can confirm it's possible to extend the contract length), and it seems that the turnaround for interviews/getting hired will be very fast if I do get selected. I do think I have a decent chance of getting selected. I have been increasingly tired of my current role for a while now and I'm very much ready for something new. Yet the thought of handing in my resignation to my manager makes me want to vomit.

A stupid little walk for my stupid mental health - interest check

Hi guys, I was thinking of starting a group of some sort to motivate each other to go on walks to improve our mental health. It would be focussed on pictures we take during the walks and share with each other. (More detailed description below the poll)

* I have never used tumblr communties before but from what I've seen, it seems useful for this.

** I wouldn't be able to regulate who follows and who doesn't, plus people can't post to it by themselves *I'd still need to post the submissions), so it doesn't sound ideal for this project tbh.

*** I am not a fan of discord, and never made a server myself, but if it's the most popular option I'm willing to give it another try.

More detailed info: people would post one or more photo's they took during their walk, be it of the landscape, plants, buildings, animals, themselves, whatever they want. There would be no pressure to go on a walk every day (though some kind of activity, like once a month or something, would be required), though I might try to add some kind of competetive elements for those who want to compete (nothing mandatory), just to motivate people more. It would mainly be sharing pictures with each other and keep positive vibes ♥️ I wouldn't want it to be a super large group, so it would feel more cozy and safe.

1 - So in general I'm just really happy with how the entire Separated AU developed throughout the year! I created it almost exactly a year ago now (the anniversary is on the december 26th btw, might have something planned for that). And I've mentioned it before but I really wasn't planning on developing into a proper story originally, I thought of the basic concept one day and thought it was neat so I just wanted to put it out there. So I made a SINGULAR post and that was all I initially planned to do, but then I came up with more and more ideas and before I knew it the AU got fucking SECOND PLACE IN THE TMNT AU COMPETETION!? HELLO?? Yeah turns out people like my silly little AU, to this day I'm constantly blown away with all the positivity I recieve from this fandom and it means the world to me ueueueu 😭💕

I've made quite a few TSAU comics over the year, but the first TSAU comic I made that was longer than just a page or so was the Cell Talk comic and it still holds a special place in my heart for that reason. (Also it's where the whole bit about TSAU!Leo being a huge Shadow fanboy originated from so that's awesome)

There's also a certain project I've participated in and made art for that I'm really excited to show you guys, but I'm not really supposed to talk about that yet so uhhhhhh 🤫 you guys are just gonna have to wait for that one lol. Either way, I'm proud of myself for being being part of that :D

2 - OKAY ENOUGH ABOUT ME, time to give some other people the spotlight!!

First of all, special shout out to anyone who has made fanart of my AU, I love love LOVE you so much!!! 💕

The art that the other participants of the tmnt fashion competition made was also absolutely amazing, that event was so fun!! Kat especially, she totally deserved that win her art was so good!

I've been a fan of the Empyrean Weeping AU by cupcakeslushie for a while now, but it's just been getting better and better, the recent comics for the AU have really been absolutely fantastic, I adore the art and story!!

I've been absolutely obsessed with The Canary Continuity fic series by qolden recently it's driving me insane. Donnie is one of my favorite characters ever which means that of course like any normal person I love seeing him suffer! :D I was actually a bit worried that the story was gonna be a bit too angsty for me when I read the tags, but turns out it was just the right amount angst for me, and also it's gonna get a happy ending which is great, so yeah I'm having an absolute blast reading it!

if a cybertronian isn't bowled as a protoform, you will end up with that one scene from TF One where they tumble down a cliff. Megatron wasn't bowled as a protoform and look how he turned out

as protoforms, sparklings love being bowled by their caretakers in their first alt-mode, which is a compact armored ball or a variation of it. this led to the creation of a beloved game: Sparkling Bowling

the goal of the game is for a caretaker to provide kinetic energy and a general direction of the throw, while the sparkling is in charge of adjusting their direction to knock down as many pins as possible and defeat other caretaker-sparkling teams

sparkling bowling is a staple of birthday parties, sparkling-creator competitions and other such events, with the game having many versions and regional variants such as a category for older sparklings who already have vehicle modes, tracks with curves, obstacles or different lenghts.

vosnians use extra long, ascending tracs when playing with older sparklings to help the little jetlings pick up more speed and get the hang of taking off. meanwhile the iacon nobility often plays with up to a hundred pins on custom tracks in their gardens. it's fine, they can afford servants who will pick up the pins and keep track of the large scores

I love writing dyke Maria. It's my life blood, it's my meaning on this earth. I mean, she oozes lesbian energy who is writing anything BUT dyke Maria?

As always, because I am allergic to being brief: full rant under the cut

Tattooed Maria is an interesting concept to me! The mental image of Maria with sleeves is beautiful and I need art of that right now, but if we're speaking do I actually think she'd have any in the regular universe? I don't think she'd have visible ones. In my head, she either has none, or she has two. Very specifically: one she got impulsively as a teenager, definitelly not legal, sick of being compared to her mother all of the time, sick of seeing her in her own face, sick of absolutely everything, and goes off and gets something to make her body her own, something that she can go look, this makes me me. And then two, once she's left her father and her home town, in the marines, feeling guilty over the first and missing the mother she never got to know, hating how her father made her hate her too, and she gets something to honour her instead. I'm not sure what either of these tattoos would be though haha, a bird for her mother, maybe? Something very sentimental, ofc, but we don't know much about her mother.

Still, tattooed Maria, very much yes. Tattoos are always cool. Especially on lesbians. If she did have sleeves, I think she'd have pretty blackwork florals

I've never actually heard of the term chicano until this ask! So I don't feel like I can speak much on that topic, but I do enjoy when people write latina Maria! I believe it is somewhat canon in the comics, and there's definitely a TV show where she's obviously not white, but honestly the comics LOVE to leave us guessing. Either way, I like seeing people write about her connecting to her mother's side.

Don't even get me STARTED on mechanic Maria. It might actually be one of my favourite HC/AUs of all time. If I could think of a good dynamic for them, I would write a mechanic blackhill AU. Honestly, I think it would make a lot of sense for her character to just... have her be a mechanic during her time in the marines. Not necessarily full time or anything, but I think she'd be good at it, and I like to imagine her with a little summer job when she's in highschool helping out at the garage on the corner. I wrote the Clint's farm fic 50/50 because I wanted to write about blackhill pining in the Barton's house and because I wanted to write about greased up Maria.

Now I'm imagining an AU where SHIELD is a garage and Maria is the butch walking around in an oil stained grey tank who instantly puts all the cocksure men in their place when they try to question her ability to fix their truck. Her and Nat getting competetive about fixing cars... Maria's a truck specialist, Nat's the motorcycle guy. Do I.... Do I write a small town mechanic AU about Nat being desperate for a new job and Clint convincing Maria to let her join? I might make a post about this later.

I wish I could put into words how much I love mechanic Maria. Everything about it is so good. I love making her butch, if you couldn't tell by BSaSB. I feel she's a lot more butch in the comics than the movies but man I just can't help myself. Butch Maria 4 life. Butch Nat is good too. Butch 4 butch. Butch 4 femme. I don't care just let me hit Maria with the butch ray and then put her under a car.

What with the Snowfort and Red (Winter) Army, he has connections to snow and cold. Also ice is a bad type competetively and Etho washed up pvper...

Mossy guy! Also he likes the sun and uh photosynthesis..? (And he dropped a wither rose in Last Life)

Tango - Fire

It's his hair headcanons but also his love for explosives

Impulse - Electric

Caffeinated animated redstone innovator and also his color scheme!!

Lizzie - Fairy

She owned the Fairy Fort, so I feel like it's only fair. She also likes cute things but can be mean sometimes (like the fairy typing itself)

Gem - Fighting

GeminiSLAY, very competetive fighter

Pearl - Dark

Something wicked this way comes. But also, wrongfully seen as evil! Misunderstood like some dark types okay (ABSOL IS LITERALLY HER)

Scott - Water

Mean gills but also I'm pretty sure water's a pretty good typing competetively? Mainly cause mean gills though

BigB - Psychic

Messing with people's minds by being the liar of all time. Has a motif of deception with his character

Cleo - Poison

Sometimes associated with snakes, but also they have venom behind their words. Lots of vengence.

Mumbo - Steel

A bit unsure about this one but I thought of Grumbot! Also because I associate the steel typing with machinery, and also Mumbo's vampire hc's are funny with this considering steel's probably associated with silver

Some I'm more unsure about:

Martyn - Dragon

Uhh...fantasy smp reference..? Dragon is a really powerful type and Martyn is a formidable guy? They also have a sense of mystic to them with related to his hastag lore..?

Skizz - Bug

I can't do shit to explain myself here uhm uhm. His angel headcanons of wings...his silly little guy energy matches silly little bug...he dies fast in the series..?

Joel - Ground

Mounders? He did dig those holes in Double Life where he was called a mole...oh and also this would make him weak to Scott's typing which is very funny

Scar - Rock

He sells useless things and says they're valuable. See: the crystals of Last Life. Also all his relationships are rocky haha ba dum tss (he is the loneliest life series character I coukd talk about him for DAYS)

Ren - Normal

This leaves Ren with normal which just...doesn't feel right...like. This man is FAR from normal! Most I could think of was like a dog-like a theatre related pokemon, but those could be outside of the normal type! I'm lost...

When I think of nerd Kyle, I don't think of him as meek and feminin, but the type of nerd who gets straight A's, and is competive ad fuck academically. Has a very school focused mind at times. I'm bad at explaining this, blame the language barrier on my end (english is not my native language) and Kyle liking to read overcomplicated stuff that seems boring as hell to the other guys. (But I do admit I do like short angry Kyle. I just think it's funny if people undereestimate him if he's shorter than them, but he can knock them over in 5 seconds flat if he wishes so)

Jock Stan, and what I mean about him. I mean I think he would enjoy a sport, and be way more naturally good at it, and well enjoying being good at it too and continue doing said sport throug high school. But he knows he can't just rely on pure talent for the sport, he needs do some type of work out to keep it up.

School wise, he isn't dumb, he's okay. (I do like the headcanon of Kyle tutoring him in math though) and he likes boardgame clubs and such too, caring for animals and yes not knowing how to deal with his depression.

Once again hard for me to describe, but I hope you understand what I'm going for

I guess I just really like that jock Stan and nerd Kyle are kinda two opposites, but not really

I think I also lean pretty heavily into Kyle being very academically focused, and I think that does make sense with how driven and competetive he tends to be in the show!

I feel like Spirit Island is, to me, a perfect board game ever, and every game keeps convincing me of that even more

First of all it's cooperative and although I do play plenty of competetive board games with my friends, I have to say that I find it very refreshing to work together towards a goal instead of against each other, knowing that everybody is on the same side.

Second of all, the design of the spirits – and the lore of the game itself – is pure perfection. You are representations of nature and beliefs that chases away colonisers? 10/10

Anyway and I have to say that after getting the hang of the basics of the game and playing a few games with my friend to get to know as many spirits as possible – and then one myself in basic difficulty level to figure out how solo works – making the game more difficult definitely makes it more fun.

So my favourite spirit so far is Finder of Paths Unseen (side note, I do not have expansions – only the base game and promo packs), mostly because of how complex it is, how much thinking and planning it requires. I can't just mindlessly go ahead and deal damage! It has to be all strategic.

But today, my 2nd solo game ever, and since I decided that base difficulty is a bit predictable, I tried adversary, Scotland level 1, which I don't know how much it increases the general difficulty, but it definitely increased enough for my current level.

It was a sacrifice victory, so as I met the win conditions, I destroyed my last presence on the island, and the game defines that as exactly that – the spirits fend off the invaders, but they destroy themselves in the process. But the island is free.

And it was amazing. I had 11 presence destroyed (1 left on my track), only 1 invader card left unturned, and I finally felt that I was facing a challenge, which I feel to me, aside from the aesthetics, is the point of this game – the challenge. Aesthetics are what gets me interested but the challenge is what makes me stay heh.

So I suppose I will try to get better at Finder, try a few other adversaries at level 1 etc.

I'm not sure how I'd ho about England though! So far my strategy has been 'choose one land to push all cities and towns into and wait a few turns to try to destroy them all in 1-2 moves' but England has this interesting loss condition that if at any point there are 7 cities or towns in one land, I automatically lose – which would mean a very different strategy would be required. But I'm thinking about how much presence I lost today from blight and from my final damaging moves, and I'm thinking, maybe with England a good strategy would be to start dealing damage earlier? It's a loose thought. I might try other adversaries first.

The game is just so good I cannot. It's also the first game I have with solo mode where I actually want to play the solo mode

Hongjoong is known to be someone who needs some care from others, because he's forgetful sometimes and it's not the best taking care of himself, so the fact that you willing take care of the ones you like, it's perfect. But Hongjoong feels bad giving you too much trouble tho, when if he doesn't at all.

I think it would be so easy for you to relate in a sense with him and you would bring to light Kim Hongjoong, not the persona idol, producer and rapper Hongjoong, you know? He can just be himself and share his other passions with you and listen to you do the same with him. It would make him relax a bit and look out for when he's having a busy or stressful day.

I'm a very competetive person, always have been. Even when I was like 5 I would do anything to exel at everything I did. And because of my competetive nature I play sports. most any sport there is to play. I've done gymnastics, wrestling, baseball, soccer, and some football. Currently I play volletball and basketball, and I just have one question I always ask myself. Why do people who don't care about winning play sports? why do people who aren't willing to work their asses off to be the best athlete they can be play?

My coach has a saying, she askes us this every time we're losing "are you a player or are you an athlete?" And the whole team always responds with athlete, but not everyone who takes up a sport is an athlete. If that was the case everyone would be star players or team captains, eveyone would be an mvp or win championships. The truth is not eveyone is an athlete, and that's ok. It just means we all operate differently. A true athlete works hard at their craft all the time, they live and breathe this stuff. They push themselves till they break, till they're pucking their guts up and shaking. They listen to their coaches and have good atitudes. they do that one extra push-up, that one extra rep. They're the ones that do it over and over again till they get it perfect, and even then sometimes they still aren't satified.

I'm not saying you're a bad person if you don't give up your personal life for sports or if you don't push yourself to the brink. But I do and I want to win. So if you step foot on my court and play my game, you better be in it to win it, you better walk off that court with no regrets. You better have left everything on the floor, because I have.
