With a sequel all but officially confirmed, it’s pretty much a given that Matthew Lillard will be back for the sequels. I’m not as familiar with the lore and subsequent stories so do you think they’ll bring back Mike Schmidt, Abby, and Vanessa in the sequels or will it be a whole new set of characters?
Matthew Lillard has apparently signed a three-picture deal for FNAF, which is super exciting:
"I just got cast in a movie called Five Nights at Freddy's. It's very fun, it's a three-picture deal with Universal and Blumhouse. So, unfortunately, my day job is taking me off to work." - from THIS article (there's a video on the page too of him being interviewed)
As for the others... I'm not a total expert on the lore but I'll try to answer. I'm not sure what contracts the cast have signed, but in regards to the lore it's very possible! I think Vanessa especially is a given to come back at some point because of the whole Vanny thing in the later games - what will be interesting will be seeing how she goes from being the helpful police officer in the movie to the sadistic follower of Glitchtrap seen in the games. Having said that, there's still debate as to whether Vanessa and Vanny are the same person, but it would make sense in regards to the film if after waking from her coma, her personality has been altered or something.
As for Mike (and by extension Abby), I think it's possible; there's debate about whether Michael Afton and Michael Schmidt are the same person etc, although the movie seems to be taking a different view to that theory? Mike the security guard is only in the first game, however, and the protagonist of the second game is someone different called Jeremy Fitzgerald (all the security guards/protagonists in each game are, to my knowledge, someone different). Abby is an original character made for the film, as is Garret, so it's difficult to say but if Mike appears then there's a chance she would to in some capacity as he's her primary caregiver.
I think the director, Emma Tammi, has mentioned that the second film would be an adaptation of the second game; FNAF 2 is set before the first game, so if Universal/Blumhouse choose to adapt it then it's unlikely we'd see Mike/Abby/Vanessa, at least as they appear in the first film - we might see a young Mike/Vanessa since FNAF is set in 1987 which is the decade William was abducting kids/took Garret, which could be interesting if certain theories are proven.
Personally I would love to see all of the aforementioned characters/cast again in some shape or form, but we'll have to see! It really depends on how Universal/Blumhouse intends to adapt the games going forwards.

hey dude I found your blog today (not sure why it was recommended to me but here I am)
I dont personally identity with objectum or finding that sort of pleasure from objects, but as I'm exploring the tags im finding myself really curious and I want to understand more. I'm hoping you can answer some questions for me.
the objects you have an attachment to (in your case I think its a keyboard), do you think you're naturally drawn to these objects, or do you think there is a deeper connection with these particular items? Such as a personal history with said item?
Did you "choose them" or did they "choose you", ig?
Do you think its an aesthetic attraction to said objects, or is there something more they bring to you?
How do you and others determine pronouns for the objects?
When did you learn objectum was what you identified with?
I want to be clear this is coming from a place of curiosity and a wish for an understanding! I find myself drawn to certain objects myself (mainly things with physical buttons and screens, particularly handheld devices) but for me its strictly aesthetic and not romantic. Take care and happy holidays ✌️
casually forgets this was sitting in my inbox 😳
my main object isn't a keyboard, it's an astrolite (made by hasbro in 1969), a "futuristic" toy that came with clear pegs that you could put in the holes on top and create a city (main draw). i feel like it's extremely obscure, there's barely any info online about it. the part of aster that i love is basically just a lamp, plug that sucker in (no on/off switch) and spin the wheel to make the pegs on top turn different colors. when i got aster it was just them, no pegs or information or anything. just a serial number on the back. finding that one ebay listing that told me everything i needed to know kinda solidified our relationship. it's definitely a deeper connection but lamps in general just kinda hit different.
i saw them in that store and it was true love at first sight but i'd like to say it goes both ways (has no idea how to explain this)
something about corners and shapes is what initially drew me in but they've been with me through everything ever since i got them. not trauma dumping on side but i've been through it.
i'm not sure how others do it but the way i do it is test pronouns with each object as i'm getting to know them. if it feels wrong i disengage with it, if they feel okay then i keep trying it out. i'm not 100% sure on what aster's pronouns are tbh; they mainly go by he/him but there are some occasions where he goes by they/them. including now.
it's kinda embarrassing to admit but that lamp in dhmis was what got me acting up about objects in the first place. thought it was just a character specific thing at first so i didn't think much of it. met/acquired aster and that completely flipped. i remember searching for stuff like "i love an object what is this called" and quickly came across the term. immediately applied that to myself.
also another thing, i actually have a few beloved objects (not as much as aster but they're pretty important to me): baby, my 2005 ford focus, and charlie, my gaming computer. ofc you probably know this already because i know i posted a list of them somewhere on this blog. but i've kinda been getting into nintendo consoles/controllers recently (corners and shapes <3)
i enjoyed answering these! if there's anything else you'd like to ask, go ahead ☺️ sorry that this took so long tho 😭

my very very very long introduction to the welcome home fandom + set of rules
hello everyone!!!!!!
i got into welcome home a little while ago now, and i have finally gotten enough courage to put my headcanons and writing out into the world! and of course, you can request! (when the askbox is open ^_^ of course!!) i do have a few obvious or not-so-obvious rules though, as per every blog! rules below the cut :) it's long!
you CAN; ✦ ask for '(character) and reader'! it is the only thing i specialize in after all on this particular blog lolol, types of pairings that that i don't do are in my 'cannot' section, and if your idea is not there, dm me and i'll see if i can do it! :o) ✦ if you guys have anything in particular you'd like to share, i would love to hear it! i encourage it!! i like hearing everybody's ideas on things! personal headcanons, ideas or thoughts on a character or two, it's all a-okay with me! you can even ask me what i think on a character @:) ✦ ask for fluff, some light angst, hurt/comfort, go wild with it! headcanons galore!!!!!! ✦ ask more than once!
✦ just send silly stuff into my askbox LOL, try not to blow it up though!! you CANNOT;
✢ ask for NSFW, incest, or anything of the like. the first of which (NSFW), clown themself has prohibited because they're not 100% sure if they're comfortable with it yet, and the rest of it is just a blatant, heavy no. ✢ ask for anything on gore or anything TOO heavy on a dark subject. please DM me if you're curious what goes over the line, it's just that i am a person too! sorry if this disappoints!! :( ✢ ask for anything other than GN reader. sorry :( i just prefer to stick with GN as it applies to everybody who might pass by my post, and if they decide to read it, i want it to apply to them!
✢ ask for oc/character :( again, i'm sorry! there's nothing wrong with that kinda stuff, i've just never been too good at it, as i don't know much about your oc! established characters have always just been easier for me, but i could change this in the future! ✢ ask for character/character yet! it's still undecided for me as i'm not quite sure how everybody feels on some ships, as even when all some ships are completely normal, the shipping discourse is REAL across every fandom.
✢ ask for frank x reader (romantic) or eddie x reader (romantic), sorry to all frank and eddie simps out there💔just not my place! extra info i will have to update my set of rules and the characters i will write for as time goes on, as new information will inevitably come out, and my writing may be TOTALLY out of character as well! but this blog is simply for fun, and as time goes on, things will change :) and i will adapt accordingly! if i get anything wrong about the characters, please do inform me in DMs! i will resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and make an attempt to edit, or delete the posts in the worst case scenario! i do keep myself updated on them to the best of my abilities, but sometimes i will miss things! even if it is something small, do not hesitate to inform me that that character actually HATES that food, or dislikes being around that kind of weather! and please link me to the source of the info you found if possible, or try to direct me better to it! if and when i receive a request for a reader with any disability or condition, i will try to write it the best i can, even if i do not personally have it or have ever experienced anything like it. if there is anything i can do to improve on my writing with certain subjects, DM me! i will take whatever you give and do my best to include it :) please do not criticize me too heavily for my writing skills. i am still improving on it as we go along, so try to hold back on anything like that! i am not the fastest at getting requests done, but i will definitely try, and i am hoping life doesn't get too busy! if the askbox is closed, do note that it is probably because i have at least 5 or more requests in it, and i need to sort through them, and take my time! or i may just want to write for myself atm! i hope that is reasonable :) i am a HUGE julie fan, if you request for her i am more likely to leave a huge chunk bitten out of my monitor and have eaten all the key caps to my keyboard with only the letters "J U L I" and "E" left. i love writing for julie LOL 😭😭😭 that is it, from what i know! do what you will with all of this, and enjoy yourself, neighbor!!!!!

I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you would know what I need to do about the 1099-S form I received for selling the house I inherited from my father last year. See, I don't make any income, since taking care of him was all I could do out of college, so I've never had to file taxes before, and I can't figure out how to report this sale without being directed to some other form I don't know anything about or have anything to add to. The sale was also for less than the house was valued, and under 100k. Do I still need to report the information on the form, and how would I go about doing that? Can I use the free service you linked? I did see on my paperwork that the IRS also received the same form I did, so it seems strange that they'd need me to give them info they already have.
disclaimer: this isn't my exact zone of tax expertise, so i may not be 100% correct here.
So unfortunately this is one of those dumb things that the US does - unlike a lot of other countries, even though the IRS gets all this info directly you still have to file the same information yourself. Essentially in other places the taxes are done automatically and then you file to inform them if you think their calculation is wrong, but in the US if you have to file you need to send them your estimate and then the government tells you if they agree. But there's certain ranges of income where you don't need to file at all, so people who don't make much often end up not having to. The standard deduction for a single filer is $12,950 this year, so if you didn't make more than that except as a lump sum from the house, and you're considered to not have had a gain over that amount, you probably don't need to file in the first place. Still, it's safer to go ahead and do it just in case if you can do it for free. Realistically if you're considered to have taken a loss selling the house you probably don't have to file, because the taxable income from it is considered to only be your gain relative to the house's expected price.
Now before I say anything else, you PROBABLY CAN just use one of the online guided tax preparation services listed on Free File if you don't have any other income. The service will ask you the questions without you having to go through all the paperwork. I'll go ahead and explain things as I understand them though for more information. But I do think you should just try registering with one of the services they link and see if it works out for you before getting deeper into the weeds. Even if you end up making more, they'll probably just tell you you have to pay a little for the service instead of straight up rejecting you.
Anyway, the instructions for 1099-S.
With houses, a few things are relevant: It's considered a capital gain (like selling any asset), and there's several specific rules that apply for real estate. A capital gain is based on how much the asset cost when you got it (the "basis") versus how much you made when you sold it. The specifics are a little different when you inherit the property, though.
Basically, if you inherited the house when your father died, then the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the house is whatever it was appraised at at the time when he died. This is technically called a "stepped-up basis", because it's meant to protect you in situations like - your dad bought a house for $100,000, made $20,000 dollars of improvements, and died. If the rules used how much it cost at the time of purchase, and you sold it for $120,000, you would theoretically have a gain of $20,000 over the house's lifetime. BUT you only received the property at the time of inheritance, so it doesn't really make sense to say that you gained $20,000 for selling it - the nature of the house changed before you got it. So they "step-up" the basis to $120,000 when you inherit it, and if you sold it for $120,000 you'd be just selling at what the new FMV of the house was. It would not be considered a gain.
So in your case as you said, the sale was for less than the house was valued, presumably at about the time of your father's death. As such, it would probably be considered a loss.
The resulting amount of your sale off of your 1099-S would go on both Schedule D, capital gains and losses, and Form 8949, sales and dispositions of other capital assets. It would be considered a short-term capital gain/loss because you personally owned the house for less than a year. So you basically write a detailed entry in the top row of 8949, listing the date you got the house, the date you sold the house, the proceeds/how much was paid to you overall for the house, how much the house was considered to actually be worth under cost or other basis, and then calculate the gain or loss by just subtracting. If the basis was reported to the IRS as you mentioned, then check box A at the top of the page. Then you go ahead and transfer that data to Schedule D's rows and follow the instructions for putting 8949 info into it on there. Ultimately it'll go to box 7, then part III on the next page, and it gets a bit finicky but this is all stuff that will EVENTUALLY be sent to line 7 of IRS form 1040, the main personal income tax form you'd be filing.
There's technically also a partial exemption for selling your primary residence, like if you inherited the house in January, and lived in it as your main home. However, it may be simpler to just treat it as a capital loss, since that exemption is only really useful if you gained money from the sale.
Hopefully you won't actually need to get into the weeds on this, because as I said, you should probably try one of the free file guided tax services first. But I thought I'd explain what I know about it.

Chapter 1
Was it wrong to stay alone? To stay in your own little world, away from people, away from problems, cutting yourself off from the world, and keeping your life a secret, keeping your problems a secret. You didn't mind it. You didn't mind being quiet, being unnoticed. Life didn't go your way, and that was ok. You lived with it.
You liked the quiet life. Going to class, learning about the universe, minding your business, not bothering anyone and nobody bothered you. Maybe one day, you'd leave the planet. You'd find somewhere else, find some real friends, forget about the life you'd be leaving behind. It was a nice thought. Who would've thought one project, one partner, one boy would change your life, would open your heart again.
You had heard a kid was joining your class. He wasn't new, but his schedule changed. "Well, Mr. Sano, late on your first day, are we?" your professor scolds. The boy with dark blonde hair walked in with an embarrassed smile. "Sorry, got a little held up," he says. "Take an empty seat, Manjiro," your professor says, motioning to the class.
The boy looks around for a seat, and you watch as the other kids in the class move their bags to cover any empty seats. You roll your eyes, "You can sit here. Since everyone else wants to be lame," you say. He smiles and walks toward you, sitting in the seat. You bring your attention back to the book in your hand, not paying him any more attention.
"Thanks for the seat!" he speaks from next to you, pulling your attention back to him. "Late on your first day to this class. Great first impression," you say, not turning your head from the page. He laughs, detecting the teasing tone. "Yeah. My sibling likes to act stupid and not get out of bed. Got a little sidetracked," he says, "I'm Manjiro, by the way. But you can call me Mikey," he smiles. "I'm Y/n," you respond.
Before either of you can say anything else, class starts. Your professor starts his lesson, talking about the environment and things about certain planets. You zone out after about ten minutes. Near the end of class, he starts talking about a project, saying that you'll have two weeks to complete it, and you have to partner with whoever sits next to you. "Looks like we're stuck together the next two weeks," Mikey chirps from beside you. You turn to him, giving him a slight smile and nodding.
You and Mikey talk about the project. You agree to get supplies after school and then work at his house. After class, you continue with your day. Later, between classes, while you eat lunch, you sit at a table, alone, as usual. You continue to read, minding your business. Mikey's walking and spotted you, sitting alone, reading, and eating your lunch. He smiles and walks toward your table. "This seat taken?" he asks, pulling your attention. "Yes. By imaginary friends 1, 2, and 3." You snicker, looking up from your book momentarily. What's with this guy? Why was he so interested in you? You wanted to be alone, to stay alone, not bothering in his life.
He laughs and sits down. "This supposed to be a friendly gesture or something?" you ask flatly. "Maybe. Figure it's worth knowing my partner a little more. Make the experience more fun," he smiles. "Fair enough, I guess," you say. "Well, I don't know anything about you enlighten me," he says. You think for a moment. What's there to say? Well, there's a lot to say...but what could you say that won't scare him off? Maybe you should scare him off. Not like he's going to stick around a while anyway.
"You first," you say, setting down your book to look at him. "Well, I'd like to leave off this rock someday. My older brother is teaching me to pilot. My parents dropped us off here but never came again to get us. It was around when my brother was 13, and my younger sister was turning 1." He said it like it was nothing like he almost didn't care. It was interesting tho. You wonder how he was when it all happened. If he remembers much. If he misses them.
"I have an older sibling too," you say quietly, "A sister. And a twin brother." Mikey smiles. He opens his mouth to say something else, but then another boy walks up, setting his lunch down and sitting next to Mikey. "You gonna introduce me, man?" he asks, elbowing him in the side playfully. "This is Y/n. She's my partner for that class project," he turns to you, "Y/n this is my stupid friend, Draken." He laughs. "Hi," you say shyly. "So what had you been saying? About your family?" Mikey asks, turning his attention back to you. "Nothing. Just that my family's kinda crazy, I guess," you say, laughing slightly. "Just wait till you meet Shinichiro and Emma," Draken laughs. Mikey rolls his eyes. "Who's that? Your siblings, I'm guessing?" you ask. "Yeah, Shinichiro is my brother and Emma my sister," he says.
You smile at what he says. They sound fun. They sound like it would be fun to be around. You think about your siblings and the fun types you had. You wish it could still be like that. You wish you weren't so caught up in your own head that you could have fun, laugh, make friends, not feel the constant burden of the past. That past you wanted to forget about, but you couldn't, no matter what.
"My older sister's name is Kori, and my brother is Yuki," you say. Draken raises his eyebrow, "Older sister, you say?" he says playfully, leaning in further to the table. You roll your eyes and laugh. "What're your siblings like?" Mikey asks. "She's about the same height as me. She's a little mean, but she's my sister, so that's not a surprise," you smile at the table thinking about it, "My brother Yuki and I are twins, and you can tell. We're basically the same person." Mikey smiles and listens as you talk.
He asks you a few more questions, a little about your parents, some about your life, you didn't tell him much. Soon, it was time for you all to go to the rest of your classes, so you said your goodbyes and parted ways. It was cool talking to Mikey, you got comfortable, but it doesn't change anything. You couldn't get close to him. Your mind wouldn't let you. You didn't know why, but you just couldn't, not after what happened, not after how you felt. It was too much. He seemed fun, but you couldn't stop from missing everything, from thinking about the past, nobody has made you feel better, feel whole again, feel happy again.
After school, you and Mikey agree to work on the project at his home, stopping at the market for supplies. "So, tell me more about your family," Mikey asks as you walk around the market, picking up things to check off your list. "Nothing much to tell. You said you had a brother and sister? What are they like?" You deflect the question back, not having an answer, not wanting him to ask more questions. "Well, my older brother, Shinichiro, has been like the parental figure since our parents haven't been around. He's a bounty hunter. We have to get food on the table somehow," he shrugs, "He has a hard time trusting people, but after you get to know him, he's nice."
You can tell Mikey loves his family. The way he smiles as he speaks of his brother. You know that feeling, loving someone so much, your heartwarming as you talk about the person, it breaks your heart when you think about it, but you push it away, keeping the smile on your face as he speaks. "My little sister Emma, she finds friends with anyone. She's nothing like Shinichiro and me. We've taken care of her since she was a baby. I love her, even though she can be a real pain." He ends with a laugh. Smiling as he thinks about his siblings, no doubt a memory going through his mind of them.
After you have everything you need, you head to his home. It wasn't far from the market. Only a half click away. Soon, you walk up to the house, Mikey typing in the code and sliding open the door. When you step inside, almost right away, you hear little feet running through the home, coming your way. A little girl emerges from the corner. "Mikey!" She shouts, jumping into his arms for a big hug. "Welcome back!" She jumps down, a big smile on her face as she smiles up at him with bright eyes. "Hey, Emma. This' my friend, Y/n," he motions to you behind him. "Hi," you say sweetly. "Hi! What are you guys doing?" she asks. "We have a project," Mikey says, starting to walk past her toward his room.
You follow him, hearing Emma behind you say, "Oh," almost sounding disappointed, "Ok. Have fun," she chirps as you make it to his room. You set your stuff down and get to work with him. It was silent the first few minutes, and surprisingly, it wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable. It felt normal. But eventually, Mikey broke the silence with more questions. "So you had been eating alone today. You have many friends at school?" Wow, great question. You shake your head, "Nope. I used to have one friend, but she's traveling with her family now," you say, not taking your eyes from the project. "Well, then I assume no boyfriend either?" he asks.
"You don't have many friends either, do you, Mikey?" you ask, looking up with a sarcastic smile. "Sorry," he laughs nervously, "I probably could've worded that better." He turns his attention back to the project. "Could've fooled me though, I would've thought a bunch of guys would be after you," he smirks. You smile and blush, rolling your eyes. As you continue to sit there, you hear a storm in the distance, looking up and out his window. "Hm, we might be able to finish before it gets closer," Mikey says.
You continue on the project for the next hour and a half. Every once in a while, feeling the presence of Emma at the door but ignored it. "What a two-week project," Mikey laughs after you finish. "Easy," you say, smiling at him. You turn your attention back outside, seeing the storm had started and was big, and you knew Mikey wouldn't let you leave. It looked really unsafe. "You can stay here until it calms down," Mikey says, seeing you stare out the window. You turn to him and nod, starting to put all your supplies away.
The door swings open. "You're staying?!" Emma asks, looking hopeful. "Yeah, just for a while until the storm calms down," you nod. "Great!" she cheers. Once you are done putting everything away, Mikey gets up, heading to the kitchen to cook dinner. Emma pulls you off to the side, wanting you to play a game with her. You do, smiling at how happy she gets. For once, you relax, playing with her, your mind no drifting, your thoughts and memories not attacking you. You felt happy.
There's a thud on the roof, and then the front door opening, a boy walking through, someone you can guess is Mikey's brother. He has in armor and a helmet. He removes it and looks at you and Emma. Emma jumps up, running and hugging him just like she did Mikey. "Welcome home, Shinichiro!" He hugs her, his eyes flickering over to you. You stand, walking to him and putting out your hand to shake. "Hi, I'm Y/n. Me and Mikey are working on a project." He shakes your hand, "Someone other than Draken. That's different," he says. He looks over to Mikey and walks around you, joining him in the kitchen.
Emma pulls you back to the game, and within minutes Mikey walks in from the kitchen and gives you both a plate. "Thanks," you say. "No problem, hope you like squid," he says. You nod and start eating. Mikey goes back and gets a plate for himself. He sits down on the couch. Shinichiro disappears in the hallway, coming back in regular clothes, and gets his plate. "So, Y/n, you have any siblings?" Shinichiro asks.
"Uh, yeah. A brother and sister," you say. He nods, "How old are they? Are they at the same school as you and Mikey?"
Mikey looks up, giving him a look, "Could you not give her the third degree right now? I'm trying to keep her as a friend," Mikey says.
"I'm just making conversation," Shinichiro shrugs. "Wait, you guys are only friends?" Emma pouts. "Yeah," Mikey looks up at you, "Well, I hope you could at least call us that?" he says, wanting your approval.
"Yeah," you smile at her, "Just friends." She pouts but stays quiet and eats her food.
Friends. It's been a while since you had a friend. If you were honest, you didn't think of him as your friend. You just met him. He was only someone from your class. You only said that to humor Emma. For whatever reason, she wanted you to be friends so much. It didn't matter. After today, he'd forget about you, moving on with his life. You had finished the project, and so he had no reason to want to stick around you. He had his own friends.
Emma gets up after a few minutes, taking all the plates to the kitchen. She comes back, first starting toward Mikey to sit next to him on the couch, but then pausing and turning instead toward Shinichiro. She climbs on the sofa he sits on, sitting next to him and snuggling under the blanket. Mikey turns on the tv, turning to a random channel.
"Y/n, if you want to sit up here, you can," Mikey says, referring to the couch. You had still been sitting on the floor from playing with Emma. You nodded and got up, sitting next to him. You all sit quietly, watching the tv. After some time, your eyes grew heavy, and eventually, against your will, they closed.
Mikey didn't notice until you started leaning on his shoulder. That was one thing about you. You could fall asleep anywhere, but you always lean when you sleep, so you lean on random people sometimes. You hated it.
He blushes, looking at Shinichiro and Emma to see if they noticed, but they hadn't. Emma was cuddling into Shinichiro's side and asleep, and he's focused on the show. Mikey looked back to you, smiling again as he got more comfortable.
Eventually, Mikey falls asleep, but not before you leaned more on him, your head resting on his lap, as you unconsciously moved your body up on the couch. Mikey moved the blanket higher on your body, making sure you were warm before he rested his hand on your waist, closed his eyes, and drifted to sleep.
Mikey didn't have to make the food. He didn't have to be nice to you or care if you left, but he did. Mikey didn't have to make his family seem normal but did. He did, for you. Mikey liked you and didn't want to scare you away. He didn't know why, but he had been fond of you ever since the class when you were nice to him.
Mikey's family is part of a species feared among the planet. It didn't have a name, and anyone who knew about them always kept their distance. The rare species were that of ones who drank blood to live. It had been a weird mutation thousands of centuries ago. They were still normal, just like everyone else, but they had fangs that allowed them to drink blood, and they could heal themselves. That was the one big difference, and people feared it. Mikey and his siblings are among the last to still live on Lothal.
Nobody knew about him and his family. The only person that knew was Draken. He was the reason nobody knew there were still ones of the species on Lothal, he let Mikey, Shinichiro, and Emma feed from him. He helped them stay alive and not always on high alert or in the spotlight of being discovered. So because of all that, Mikey made the food, invited you to his home, let you meet his siblings, kept up the traditional family look, all for you. He didn't want anything to seem out of the normal. He wanted to be close to you.
An hour passes before Shinichiro wakes Emma up, telling her to head to bed. She gets up, looking over at you and Mikey peacefully asleep, saying a quiet "aww" before leaving to the hallway. You stir a little, shifting on his lap but falling asleep again. Mikey wakes up a while later, smiling when he sees you still sleeping. He grabs the tv remote, turning it on low volume to not disturb you.
In the morning, you start to wake up, stretching and opening your eyes. When you realize you were asleep on Mikey, you quickly sit up. "Sorry," you say shyly. "It's ok," he smiles.
There was a moment of silence, then a loud boom of thunder, making your breath hitch and flinch against Mikey. His hand was still on your waist, and he tightened it, pulling you closer, concern written all over his face. "What's wrong?" You let out a breath, glancing at him before turning your head again. "I-um, I'm not that fond of storms," you laugh nervously. "May I ask why?" his voice soft and sincere.
You think for a moment, looking down at your fingers as you fidget with them. "My friend, who is traveling, she had a sister, and she died," your voice gets quiet as you speak, "It was a storm. Her sister was home, and their house got super messed up. After the storm, the house was unrecognizable. She died inside. I've hated storms since then."
Your heart breaks at the memory. You think about what happened, the details you were leaving out. All the feelings you had that day, threatening to return. "I'm sorry. That really sucks," Mikey says. "That's why my friend is traveling right now. Her sister always wanted to go out and see other places. To honor her, they've been traveling all over the galaxy," you finish.
Neither of you speaks for a moment. Mikey keeps his arm around you, unconsciously circling his thumb on your arm to comfort you. You shake your head, snapping out of the memories and looking up at Mikey. "So, how'd you meet Draken? You guys seem close." It was a topic you'd been wondering about but never asked, and now seemed like a good time to change the subject.
"Oh, well, we met a few years ago. I saved Draken's life, and we been together ever since," he smiles. "Really? What happened?" you ask, the change in topic already taking your mind off everything. "Let's say he got mixed in the wrong crowd. He almost got shot, but I took the blow," Mikey sits up straighter, his arm now on the back of the couch, his hand leaning over your shoulder, lightly playing with your hair.
"Did it scar?" you ask. Mikey sits up, lifting his shirt, showing a scar near his heart. You unconsciously reach your hand out, tracing it over the skin. It's rougher than the rest of his skin, darker, and looks like his skin was trying to stretch and heal but instead making a weird scar. You look up, pulling your hand away, feeling embarrassed. "Sorry," you say. Mikey smiles, looking at you but not saying anything.
You and Mikey continue talking, you a little more about his brother and parents. "I don't have many memories with them. It happened so long ago, and so much has happened since then, so I'm not really phased by it anymore. Can't miss what I don't remember, ya know?" His parents had left them six years ago. Mikey, now being 18, Shinichiro 20, and Emma only 7, Shinichiro was the only one who really remembered anything. Even when they were around, they were always gone.
Later in the day, when the storm cleared, Mikey agreed to take you home. Him, and Emma of crouse. You agreed and walked with them toward your home, which was only about a 5-minute walk. You talk to Emma about your family and life, only telling her the good stuff. When you get closer to your house, a part of you hoped your family wasn't home, but they were.
When you get closer, your brother opens the door. "Where've you been," he looks at the people next to you, "Who're they?" You all walk up closer, standing in the doorway. "This' Mikey, from my school. And his sister Emma. I stayed at their house last night cause of the storm. They wanted to walk me home," you tell him. Yuki gives you a knowing nod and steps to the side, "You guys should stay for dinner." You look up at him, your eyes widening, surprised at him, but you whip the look from your face and nod in agreeance when Mikey accepts the invitation. You step inside the house with Mikey and Emma following.
They walk with you as you head to your room. You push the door open, letting the two walkthrough. "There are two beds. You share this room?" Mikey asks, referring to the two beds facing each other on opposite sides of the wall. "Yeah. There aren't many rooms here, so Yuki and I share, and my sister, Kori, shares with-" you pause, "She's the oldest, so she has her own room." Mikey looks confused but lets it go, walking over and sitting on the one he could guess was yours, Emma following.
You excuse yourself, telling them you're going to tell your mom they're staying. When you leave, Yuki walks to you in the hallway. "So, who's this guy?" He asks. "Just a partner from school, why?" you ask.
He gives you a sarcastic look. "Do you really need to ask that? You know why," he sighs, "It's just, not like you, anymore." He scans your face for any sign he could read, but he gets none. "He's my partner. It wasn't my plan to stay with him so long. Plus, you're the one who invited him in. Why the change in heart?"
"I know. I know, I'm sorry. I only want to make sure you're ok. This guy, of all people, he's weird. He gets into fights a lot and will disappear from school for days at a time. I don't want anything to happen," his voice gets barely above a whisper, almost like he doesn't want you to hear what he says next, "You just got better. Anything could be a setback. Especially if you get close with him."
You sigh. "I'm fine, Yuki. It's ok." You move your gaze up at him but quickly avert it. "I'm gonna go talk to mom," you say. You walk past him toward the kitchen to your mom, who's cooking dinner. Yuki loves you, and he only wants to look out for you.
Meanwhile, in your room, Kori went to talk to Mikey. "I'm Kori. So, you're her partner, right? You guys dating or something?" she leans on the door, arms crossed. "Nope. Only friends," Mikey says. "No offense or anything, but Y/n is, how do I say this, well she's different. What I mean is, if you plan on being friends with her, you need to stick close. You need to really stay by her side." Kori uncrosses her arms and steps further into the room as she talks.
"Well, yeah. I plan on being a friend. What do you mean, though? What happened?" Mikey asks, his face turning concerned. Kori sighs, turning to the door and closing it before stepping further into the room. "She'd kill me if she knew I was telling you about this, but I'm guessing she told you about the whole storm thing," Mikey nods, "Well, that's not all. There's a little more to the story."

Hi! I apologise in advance if this question comes off as antagonistic, because I'm worried that it will, but please know that I'm genuinely curious. I've been reading some comments by you and @nothinghappensinalstonville and noticed you're both very critical of Sansa during her arguments with Jon, and seem to think he was absolutely right and she was absolutely wrong. (part 1 of 2)
My question is, can you elaborate on why – if you believe she undermines him and her advice to him is always wrong – you think she’s a good match for him, why you think they’d be a good team, why she’d be a good queen to his king? I’m sorry, my question sounds petulant even to my own ears, but I don’t mean it that way, I promise! I truly would like to hear your thoughts on why she’s good for Jon when you seem to think she’s been so wrong in all their interactions. (part 2 of 2)
Dear nonnie,
…..
I’m trying very hard to contain my frustration right now because you seem like a very nice person. However, I spend a lot of time and energy writing my posts and comments. I try, to the best of my abilities, to be fair and as objective as I possibly can and explain my point of view in detail. That takes quite a bit of thought and effort on my part so to know that, in your case at least, all of that was an utter and complete waste of time is a deeply disheartening feeling.
To make it clear, I have no issues with people disagreeing with me or having different interpretations. Nor do I have issues with people sending me asks where they challenge my views. What I do take issue with is when my opinions are misrepresented or I’m accused of saying things I didn’t say.
If you’re genuinely curious to find out my opinion, you could have checked out my blog before sending me this ask. I have a meta page all set up for anyone to go through and see what my opinions are.
There is a tendency in the GOT fandom to believe that stanning a character should mean that you believe that character is above reproach, is never wrong and anyone who might disagree is not a “true fan”. By and large, the Jonsa fandom is more open to debate on the nature of characters than other groups but even in our little corner, there is a tendency to try to protect the character of Sansa from any and all criticism, mostly in relation to Jon.
I understand the impulse to a degree. Sansa has been my favorite female character since season 1. I’ve gone on the bat defending her time and time again and I understand people being protective of her because Sansa is very much a maligned character in the rest of the fandom.
However, the way I stan characters doesn’t conform to this approach. To give you a clear example, my favorite literary character of all times is Scarlett O’Hara. That’s not because I believe she is perfect and beyond reproach but rather because of the complexities of her character that include both positive and negative traits. My liking of Sansa Stark is the same.I like characters, flaws and all and I have no problem discussing those flaws and I don’t think I should stop doing it just because fans in general are unfairly criticizing Sansa. That is not a valid argument to me. I would find it completely disingenuous and hypocritical on my part if I spent my time criticizing every other character, which I do, but stopped myself from doing it with Sansa because my opinion does not conform to the general consensus of the Jonsa/Sansa fandom or because she’s already unfairly criticized in other places.
So, let’s get this over with:
seem to think he was absolutely right and she was absolutely wrong
you seem to think she’s been so wrong in all their interactions.
I never said that. In this post I said the following:
My problem with the way this whole thing is presented in the fandom is that it’s taken as a very black and white issue and people feel compelled to either defend Jon or defend Sansa.
The discourse is either:
“OMG! Look! Sansa is undermining Jon! Dark Sansa is coming, people! Alert the presses! This episode … this season … in 2035. It’s coming!“
Or
“Sansa is right. Jon is stupid. He makes decisions with his heart, instead of his head.“
Except that things are never as simple as that and it’s this type of decision that could cost you in the larger scheme of the game of thrones. Deciding whether to pardon the child of a bannerman that betrayed you could go many different ways.
And also:
So to say that Sansa was right in this situation and Jon was wrong is oversimplifying things. It’s those kinds of decisions that a medieval king/lord is always struggling with and there is no 100% guarantee that you will make the right choice. Jon and Sansa are very young and they have a huge responsibility on their shoulders. There’s a lot you need to learn in order to be a successful ruler, and that goes for Sansa as well as Jon.
In my addendum to that post, I also said:
I have also talked in the past, on several occasions, about Jon being a poor communicator, acting like a lone operator and blindsiding Sansa with his decisions despite them needing to act like a united front.
In a post I wrote just yesterday, I said this:
Since season 6, Sansa has been frustrated that Jon doesn’t listen to her:
1. When she argued that he shouldn’t take Winterfell until they had enough men.
2. Before the battle of the bastards, when she warned him about Ramsay and felt that he wasn’t taking her opinion into account
3. In season 7, when she argued against his decision regarding Alys and Ned.
4. In season 7, when she felt he was paying too much attention to the NK and not enough attention to Cersei.
5. Still in season 7, when she told him not to go to Dragonstone and he blindsided her by announcing to everyone that he was, in fact, going.
So this: “this is the way he is, the way he’s always been. he never listens to me” business is a standing issue between them since the start of their relationship in season 6.
I didn’t find it strange that she would say that. She was angry and venting and she’s frustrated with Jon always doing things without talking to her or taking her opinion into account.
if you believe she undermines him
Except I don’t believe she’s undermining him which is why I wrote an entire meta attacking the “undermining” argument that you can find here.
In case you don’t want to bother reading all of it, here are a few excerpts:
Now people have pointed out that, as one of his vassals, Sansa has every right to question him publicly. The problem is that’s not how Jon sees her. He very distinctly separates Sansa from the rest of his court. And since we already had the “we need to trust each other” scene at the end of season 6, I think it’s safe to assume that he sees the two of them as a unit that is supposed to be on the same page so the fact that Sansa speaks out against him in public, instead of privately, feels like a betrayal.
However, if there’s one thing you learn sooner or later, is that there are two sides to every story. That’s why it’s never a good idea to side with one party whenever couples fight.
Because if we look at things from Sansa’s perspective, you can see how she might feel dismissed. The fact of the matter is Jon isn’t the world’s greatest communicator and failed to talk his decision over with Sansa before announcing it to the Council, which in turn makes Sansa feel sidelined, hence her aggressive snark and Joffrey digs.
And that’s because the audience support is very much skewed  in  Jon’s favor. Being on tumblr, sometimes you forget that the Jonsa fam is very much the minority and that exclusive Sansa fans are the unicorns of this fandom (#love4unicorns). The vast majority of this audience will not look at Jon as an unreliable narrator, as every character in this show is, but as the ultimate authority on how this scene should be viewed.
If he says he feels undermined, then it must be because he’s being undermined, which by extension means that Sansa will betray him.
I simply believe that just like Jon, Sansa makes mistakes not only in their conversations but in her approach to certain issues, like the Alys/Ned incident. Jon and Sansa’s arguments, in my opinion, are not clear cut or black and white. There are points to be made on both sides of the debate and pretending like Sansa is completely correct and Jon is wrong is oversimplifying things, as is the reverse. I’ve already talked ad nauseam about the Alys/Ned situation. So here are a 2 other examples:
Sansa warning Jon that they don’t have enough men  prior to the battle of the bastards:
She is correct in that they don’t have enough men. That doesn’t change the fact that they’re stuck in the middle of freezing, wintry terrain, a fact that is brought into the plot by Davos who says Stannis lost the war primarily because of the weather, which is in fact correct. In addition to that, by that point they’ve already tried to gather up more men and were denied at almost every turn. It’s not that Jon can’t count, it’s that he doesn’t see any possibility of getting more men and is afraid that he’s going to lose the men he has if he waits. That is a valid argument.
The reason why Sansa is so resistant is because she knows there’s the possibility of getting more men but dreads having to resort to calling the Knights of the Vale because Littlefinger comes attached to that particular deal. Jon can’t really be blamed for that since he doesn’t know.
Sansa warning Jon that Ramsay will try to trick him:
She is correct in her assessment of Ramsay. However her: “Don’t do what he wants you to do” isn’t going to help Jon much, is it? What does that mean? How do you build a strategy around that? She doesn’t know either. Saying that Jon should have listened to Sansa in this instance is … I mean, listen to her about what? He can do absolutely nothing with the info that Sansa provides.
Her being angry that Jon doesn’t specifically ask for her opinion in a meeting where she is present is also, quite frankly, debatable. Could he have asked? Yes. Could she have just said what she thought instead of taking her frustration out on him in private? Also yes.
That’s about it … These are the instances where I kind of lean  towards Jon’s point of view more than Sansa’s but also acknowledge the fact that she has reasons to say the things she says, thus making it a more complex situation than one of them being wrong and the other right.
For those 3 instances, I am now stuck writing another extremely long post trying to defend what are not, as far as I can see, opinions that should garner this amount of controversy.
But since now I must also atone for those opinions by proving just how much I love Sansa, here is the list of reasons why I believe they’re a good match and she’ll make a good queen to Jon’s king:
1. She is more politically minded than he is. Their debate on trusting Tyrion is proof enough of that. She also has experience in dealing with an extremely treacherous court in King’s Landing and that will prove very useful in managing their future court. An experience Jon completely lacks.
2. He has a tendency to be impulsive whereas she is more controlled and strategic. They balance each other out. Jon is a big picture thinker which is fine but that can cause him to miss details that might turn into huge conflicts later on whereas Sansa is much more aware of the subtleties of situations and can identify potential risks.
3. Jon has a hero complex and a self-sacrificing streak, where he wants to save and protect everyone. Sansa is more willing to accept the possibility that you can’t always do that. But Jon will continue to try to protect people so he needs someone to protect him, sometimes even from himself which is what Sansa can do for him.
4. In my post regarding the alliances that Sansa and Jon can make, I called Sansa the most eligible match in Westeros. The amount of allies and strategic power she can bring to the table is undeniable and will be among the main reasons why they end up king and queen.
5. They’re both humanists. Despite Sansa’s more calculated temperament (something she learned, btw because naturally she’s not a calculated person),  she would have given a mob of people that attacked her and almost raped her bread if she had had it, she takes charge of calming the spirits of the women during the Battle of the Blackwater and as Jon’s regent, she supervises the food storing and preparations for winter. They both have the same view of what leadership is and the kind of leaders they want to be. They both very much see leadership as a duty and want to do right by the people that they govern.
6. On a personal level, they’re both romantics who dream about a quiet, domestic life. They want to have children and raise a family. So their personal goals and temperaments are aligned.
7. Jon is insecure, particularly when it comes to how other people view him and since the moment they have been reunited, not only has Sansa understood that but given him the validation he needs to feel secure, content and happy. In turn, Jon can be the brave, gentle and strong man that Ned promised Sansa and that she’s always dreamed about.
8. They fight a lot, they both make good and bad point along the way but at the end of the day, their fights are constructive and lead to both of them growing and developing as people. They push each other to be better.
There are probably many more reasons that can be added but this is all I can come up with at this time.
One more thing I’d like to add before I finish this:
I was under the, perhaps mistaken, impression that people sending me asks or reading my blog were interested in my honest opinion on topics and not just in answers and posts that validate their pre-existing views. If that is the case, I don’t think my blog is for you. I will never shy away from expressing my thoughts on a subject, even when that might be controversial. So if that bothers you, I understand. Please unfollow me, block me or otherwise scroll past me if you feel leaving a comment disagreeing is not enough. I don’t want to make anyone’s fandom experience anything less than a happy one, if I can help it.
So, in an effort, to keep the Jonsa fandom experience a positive one for myself, I’d like to let everyone know that this will be my final answer on this subject. If you’re ever tempted to send me an ask telling me that I don’t think Sansa is entitled to voice her opinions, that I think Sansa is undermining Jon, that I’m trying to steal her agency in order to prop up Jon or that I think Sansa is always wrong and Jon is always right, please know that I will delete those asks and not answer them. I really don’t like doing that because I love talking to you guys and I really appreciate your interest in my blog and my opinions but at this point, if you still believe all of those things, there’s literally nothing I can say that will change your mind. Thank you for understanding!
Have a nice day, nonnie!

all excitement over the gloriousness we've seen so far aside, realistically, what do you see as the closest thing we'll get to canon destiel in S13? I'm asking because I can barely string two logical thoughts together and at this point rely on awesome meta-ers like you for guidance, thanks! x)
I don’t have a crystal ball. Please don’t rely on meta writers to predict things accurately. All I can do is help with readings of things that have happened and vaguely gesture at speculation like “this is what makes logical sense to me but hey let’s see! I don’t have any of the concrete production info so this is just analytical guess work on what we have been given!”.
It’s just so much pressure and responsibility over things that we have no control over to ask things like this, I know you don’t mean badly but yeah… this is too much. Plus some of us don’t even agree. We’re not a hive mind, we are not all right and wrong about the same things so inevitably blind faith won’t help you… Ironic right, yeah sorry, I digress into meta crack :P
I don’t really want to say “realistically” because even though I do not work for the show and it is just my humble opinion it still leaves it open for people who are disappointed with canon to come bash me if what I say doesn’t happen like I’m some sort of speculation wizard.
“Realistically” there is a chance it will be canon but also a chance that it won’t. That is realistic.
Now, for me personally it is much more likely that it will given recent seasons and build up.
For me speculatively personally I think it’ll be made more obvious in season 13. If season 13 doesn’t build on Destiel and make it more obvious to the point people outside of fandom start noticing it then I’ll be surprised, however given 01 and 02… I don’t particularly see this being an issue given they’re bashing us over the head with it and Cas isn’t even alive.
Potentially there’s a returned I love you, that’s what I would do if I was writing it, get it from Dean’s side this time, probably with a Han Solo - esque “I know” from Cas as he gets whisked away so they’re separated again but with canon they are romantically linked leading into the final season.
But that’s just what I would do you know? I’m not saying it is gonna happen :p
So yeah, realistically, god I hate using that word, and I use it LOOSELY and not like “THIS WILL HAPPEN” just… likelihood based on what I interpret wise, which could be total BOLLOCKS who knows, ok?! yeah, I don’t see it being 100% canon until endgame though I hope and expect to see strong build up in season 13.
HOPEFULLY season 13 will give us strong build up for potential canon in season 14.
HOWEVER that only works if the show is ending soon and that is endgame. All my speculation is based on ENDGAME Destiel, based on what we have so far and it continuing in the same line.
If they choose to stop continuing in the same line, if they downplay the Destiel, if the showrunner changes, if the plan changes…. then this will all potentially end.
I don’t know, like I say, I do not have a crystal ball.
It’s just that based on what we have so far this is what I believe makes sense IF IT CONTINUES AS IS AT THE MOMENT.
But that is a big IF. Because we just don’t know when the show will end and who will be in charge and what decisions will have been made by then.
I am really uncomfortable with people putting so much onus on meta writers to predict stuff when we have NO IDEA about these fundamental building blocks of what our speculation is based on you know?
Plus a ton of meta writers don’t speculate precisely because they have been hurt before by people being angry when their speculation was wrong because huge production reasons meant they flipped the script so it DIDN’T make sense.
That’s just really awful for them to get all that hate over something they can’t control. I don’t want that for them or for myself.
I just speculate because I think it’s FUN and I hope people don’t take it as gospel cos sheesh I don’t! I just love it when I’m right, but I’m happy to be wrong too, because after all I can’t control it.
Please don’t take it as 100% certain. It’s just too much responsibility for me and I’ll end up just not posting my speculation at all if it causes people anguish and me getting hate if I’m wrong.
I mean jeez I got enough stick when I was RIGHT about Cas’ death and Jack because people were upset about it and annoyed I that was happy about it because it fit my spec and meta perfectly for a happy endgame, they just wanted to be pissed about it and took it out on me.
I can’t imagine how awful it would be if I was wrong about some important spec. I hope I don’t have to deal with that but inevitably I will be at some point because I enjoy speculating.
I just hope people are decent and human about it…
