A Semi-Rant About "Barbie"
My mom, sister, and cousin all really love Barbie (2023), and I wanted to love it, too. I was ready for a feminist movie that was really fun.
Well, it was fun. But it also felt meh. Like, they introduced lots of cool concepts, but then didn't go anywhere with them:
-breaking stereotypes
-equality is not "eye for an eye" or "you need to suffer, too" (in regards to patriarchy and "matriarchy")
-generational bonding, especially between mother and daughter
-capitalism
I was also bummed that they didn't include other characters in the Barbie-verse, like Stacey, Kelly, Teresa, or Nikki. (I'm glad there were WOC in the movie, but why couldn't any of them be Teresa or Nikki?)
And then hearing other critiques about it, like the indigenous people comment and how that was tasteless.... Yeah, it was. I'm not gonna defend the director on that. Especially when it was super easy to solve the Barbie/Ken patriarchy conflict and, you know, there's still genocide going on today.
And the "savior" comment from the daughter? Extra yikes.
But then other blogs are saying how the message is so good, but... idk I didn't get that from the movie. I know what it was trying to say, but again, it got lost in the execution. The daughter just embraces Barbie-ness without any character development. She just goes from "Barbie is a fascist" to "okay, this is cute."
And I get Ken is mistreated by Barbie, but the movie made him almost an incel. He tried to force a kiss on Barbie more than once, she makes it clear she's not in love with him but he still pursues her... If they wanted to explore how women and men treat each other, don't make Ken a creep that ignores the word "no."
And why were the corporate guys there? They provide two and a half minutes of conflict, and that's it. The rest of the time, they're a running joke, and a boring one at that.
It has good music ("I'm Just Ken" is a bop), and the visuals are good. But the movie fell flat, like it slowed to a stop right before the finish line. It acted like it was telling a deep and important story, but it was shallow.
Sorry to anyone who loves the film. I really wanted to give "Barbie" a chance. But the cool toy clothes and dances just can't save the half-hearted message.
More ranting in the tags.
#barbie movie#rant#vent#i just don't get why some people say the story is so good#it never ties up the loose ends#barbieland is restored but none of the barbies take accountability#and the kens only apologize when they lose everything so are they even truly sorry?#i tried explaining my thoughts to my family#they said that ken was supposed to be like an incel#they claimed that was the point#how can no one see that you don't need to turn someone into an incel to “make a point”?#did anyone else feel like mattel was just jerking itself off during the movie?#like it was saying “look at how quirky we are. we support women and girls by not actually saying anything or providing any solutions”#i'm not saying they needed to solve all the problems#but all they did was say “here's a list of problems women face. we're gonna solve this by having the mom complain about them.”#but then no one does anything#they all commiserate over how hard it is to be a woman in today's society#but then all they do is stop the ken vote#they do nothing to help the mom and daughter feel better#i'm more upset that the movie was so middle of the road#it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible#it had its fun moments#but it wasn't compelling#and i love narrative-driven stories#but barbie 2023 sadly wasn't one of them

heLLOOOOO can i ask for some baji scenario?? a fluffy one, where baji and reader have to babysit some relative's child and then the child starts to have fun with baji's hair? yk the braids, some cute clips etc... and then baji shows up to the gang's meeting with the new hairstyle....
rest is up to you!!!! it doesn't have to be romantic tho, i see it as a more platonic/friendly scenario?
YOU GOT THIS MY FRIEND AND REMEMBER TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!! love u 💞💞
Word count:982
Warning:none I think other than people may be a little ooc as I haven't written much for Tokyo revengers but I do want to do more.
Pairing: Keisuke Baji x reader (platonic)
A/n: Hello Ness, thanks for requesting, I enjoyed writing this even if it seems a little clunky. I gotta say writing on my phone on a long ass road trip is a little difficult but I hope you like it. Also in this everyone is alive and well. The kids in the story are modeled after my own niece and nephew, who I will hopefully see on this trip. Let me know if you like it or want more. My requests are still open. Anyway, remember to hydrate or diedrate, and have a good day.
It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend hanging out with my best friend Baji, but unfortunately my older sister decided she wanted an afternoon without her kids. Being the only one without 'important' plans, I was volunteered to take care of them for the afternoon. Being busy with a nine year old and a six year old I forgot to cancel my plans with Baji.
While trying to get my nephew to sit and watch a movie with his sister, I heard a knock at the door. I quickly ran to the door hoping it was nothing, only to be greeted by a slightly upset Baji.
"Oh shit, Keisuke I'm so sorry. I was in the middle of getting ready to meet up with you when my parents told me I had to stay home to watch my sister's kids and they haven't stopped running around since. I completely forgot to text you." I ramble out my explanation.
As he was about to speak my nephew ran up behind me grabbing my arm. "Y/n, Amara took the remote and won't put it back. She's trying to buy movies." The nine year old tattled on his younger sister.
"Sorry I have to deal with this, you can come in if you want." I said moving back to the living room and grabbing the remote from my niece's hand. "I will put on a movie and that's what we are gonna watch." I said turning on Frozen, knowing it'll keep the kids attention for at least a little while.
I then remembered Baji was here and turned back to him. "So, we can reschedule or you can chill here with this circus, it's up to you?" I asked.
He paused for a moment before responding. "I can help you watch them, it can't be much different than keeping Chifuyu and Kazutora out of trouble." Baji then sat on the couch next to my niece and started talking with her about the movie.
After finishing both Frozen movies, I got the kids a snack before they decided they wanted to play with some of the toys they keep here. My niece immediately grabbed a brush and butterfly hair clips from her little makeup kit.
She ran up to Baji with the cutest smile before asking her questions."Mister, could I do your hair? It's so pretty, like a princess." She was so sweet but knowing Keisuke isn't a fan of people messing with his hair I was about to tell her to find something else to do, when he spoke first.
"Sure why not. Just don't pull any out, get it." He said picking her up and placing her where she could get to his hair.
After about twenty minutes of My niece doing Baji's hair, she proudly announced she was done. Baji accepted the little hand mirror he was offering inspecting what had become of his hair. "I love it thank you, Amara, it looks wonderful. Don't you agree Y/n?" He asked, turning for me to see.
I held back a laugh as I took in what my niece had done to his hair. The longest part of his hair was in what looked like the best attempt at an Elsa braid my niece's little hands could manage, while there were also different colored butterfly hair clips throughout the braid and his bangs. "It really suits you Kei." I complimented.
At that moment my nephew then grabbed Baji's arm and pulled him to help him play a video game, saying something about it being 'his turn with Baji'. I smiled glad my friend was here to help me with these two.
Eventually the kids decided they wanted to sit at the table and color. Keisuke and I both seemed to space the fact that his hair was still in the messy style my niece had done. We also lost track of time because it was starting to get dark out and a sharp ringing blared through the dining room.
Realizing it was his phone, Keisuke excused himself saying he'd be right back. Only a moment later he walked in and explained he forgot there was a Toman meeting tonight and that the phone call was Chifuyu trying to figure out where he was. After saying goodbye to my niece and nephew he said a final good night and hopped on his bike to the meeting.
P.o.v change to the Toman meeting
As Baji arrived at the shrine he realized his hair was still in the messy braid and full of butterfly clips. He sighed as he decided the best way to prevent him tearing out his hair was to wait till he could take it down when he got home. With one last sigh, he made his way to the meeting ready to deal with the inevitable jokes to come.
"Nice butterflies dude, finally decided to spice up the look for once" Came the slightly teasing voice of Chifuyu as he noticed Baji had arrived.
The brunette just rolled his eyes and shoved the blonde's shoulder. Walking to his place towards the front of the meeting, ignoring all the comments being thrown his way.
When the meeting was dismissed it seemed all of the division captains decided to make their own jokes.
"I like the braid but the butterflies are too much. Maybe try a bow next time dude." Came Kazutora's jest at his best friend.
"Hook me up with your stylist, they did a great job" was shouted by Smiley as he laughed walking away with his twin.
Mikey even made a few comments about the look. But Baji just brushed the comments off, he had a fun afternoon sure it was what he had originally had planned but it was fun. The guys can make all the jokes they want.

Old dream visiting me again. Long and messy one, but here goes. WARNING! INCLUDES KILLING / SHOOTING A PERSON!
I was visiting sis, apparently, but she lived in another place instead of her current one. It was more like countryside near big town. It was bright snowy day as I walked on this road when I noticed police cars in front of one wooden house with police hiding in bushes and behind their cars, guns ready. At the stairs stood, apparently, middle aged woman. She was fat, hair dirty but mostly hidden under her wool hat etc. She was pointing cops with her pistol.
I don't think she had done anything that bad until she had pulled her gun at the police. One police was yelling her orders to put the gun down and talk. They didn't want to kill her (note, in Finland it's VERY VERY SUPER RARE for police to shoot / kill). I got curious so I went a bit closer, kneeling down on one knee behind tiny snow pile. She noticed me, aimed and shot. I felt the bullet hit my face, my head snapping back a bit.
I instantly lifted my hand on my mouth since I felt warm blood starting to run down and out of my mouth. In this moment my sis rushes to me somewhere, taking me away as one of the police orders.
She takes me to this one weird place which looks like it could be hidden underground place from Ghibli movie. Steampunk-factory kind of thing? Here, on second level, I dare to open my mouth and I don't see the bullet via tiny hand mirror. Nor any damage either. I push one of my upper front tooth with my tongue and this bullet drops out if it. It looks like slightly flatten black pepper! Even my sis is in awe. My tooth? Absolutely spotless since it had some kind of clear but soft plastic cover! I don't know why but that DID save my tooth, my life.
I then return back to the scene with police group and the woman. They haven't got nowhere. For a some reason my hair is now short (like Sukuna') and almost pure white. I'm wearing red long leather jacket which is black from the inside. My pants are the same with black belts and boots which match the jacket. I have black long sleeves shirt under my fully open jacket.
I squat down, my eyes locked on the woman, and I start to sneak closer. Between me and the woman is pile of snow, 2 tall pine trees, some kind of outer storage room and then she on the stairs. I have to move a bit to the left to get perfect straight line on the woman. When I'm on perfect spot, I stop and pull out my own pistol. I don't understand anything about guns but this feels like a mix of pistol and riffle. Like... It has riffle's fire power or something?
She notices me now, turning to aim at me while I'm aiming her already. Even that she stands rather far away from me and I can't see her face clearly, I just know she has more maniac look in her eyes than before, knowing she's not gonna drop her weapon. Instead this growing feeling of 100% certainty is starting to fill me, even that I'm amazingly calm and steady through this whole scene. She WILL shoot me. I can feel her finger pressing more against the trigger.
My own finger, without hesitation, pulls the trigger of my own. With a bang, the bullet from my gun hits the woman right in the middle of the forehead and she drops down dead. Of course this upsets all police officers since they wanted her alive. One of them asked me why I shot her and I told him she WOULD have killed me if I didn't shot her first. They never wouldn't have gotten her alive.
I stood up, suddenly covering my eyes with my right arm as I started to cry fake cry (note, I can do fake cry with tears in real life super easily. It's like my special skill :'D). I mean I felt absolute NOTHING from killing that woman but I thought that crying would show the police how upset I was for the fact I just shot someone. Killed the first person ever in my life. I also thought it how Grimmjow has kill people, never feeling anything either. He just goes and kills and moves on.
I now decided to run from it since I didn't want cops to arrest me from killing that lunatic woman. I went back to that Ghibli movie place, heading half way on wooden stairs to floor 1 from floor 2. There was very wide place which looked like kitchen. There also was weird creatures which had other weird creatures, pokemon styled if I have to reference idea, tied and caged - some chopped with fur on the table already. One of these tall superior creatures saw me on the stairs, yelling: "What are you looking at?! We eat them!"
I calmly said it was fine by me, turned and walked stairs back up on the second floor. This creature, chef perhaps, followed me so I turned to face him, saying:
"Look, it's perfectly fine by me if you eat those cute creatures. After all, we humans eat chickens, pigs and cows too."
This calmed the chef down and he left me. Next I'm sitting in a bus which is going around my old home town. I was happy I was now hundreds of kilometers away from the crime scene (woman who I shot) since cops were looking for me without a doubt. Here, behind God's back, I would be safe.
I got reunited with my ex childhood friend and some other person(s). We decided to head to this cabin deeper in the woods. None wouldn't look for us there. As we walked on this old road in the middle of the woods, we came to small swamp / pond opening. I looked down to my left and right next to the roads was water line. I instantly noticed a golden frog statue (money frog) with very shiny golden Chinese coins with red ropes beneath and all around it. There also was pink lotus flower with green lotus leaves. Very pretty sight but it slightly confused me since it had never been there before.
Then I noticed chocolate bar, big and long, right side of the road. It was unwrapped but also otherwise untouched. My friend's words made me snap out of my head when she goes: "Isn't this the area where you li-?" but before she can finish her sentence, I shush her down. I don't want others to know I used to live here.
We finally come to the cabin which is partly in the middle of forest hill. The woods around us, especially behind and on left side (when looking cabin from the front) are HELL DARK. There's only pine trees but between them are wide gaps but still... I don't like that darkness. It's familiar, heavy, nasty and damn right frightening.
Indoors I head to my own room which is first room at the right after coming in and walking through tiny hallway. As I stood at the open doorway, facing the window which was directly facing the forest behind the cabin, weird dim light glows somewhere behind the hill, casting light appear between the trees.
There's one tiny tree which has break in half and on top of it sits a creature which caught my attention first. I only see black-gray silhouette but it's definitely formed like a hare but it has antlers, owls's wings and maybe owls beak or fox's muzzle. The eyes are in shadows so I don't see them.
Behind this creature, on top of the hill between 2 trees, stands another creature. I see it clearly since it's firm is more sharp and dark, but the eyes? Round, piercing white ones. I DON'T like them. This creature... It looks like it has human torso but moose's body. I do see long legs which also reminds me of a moose.
Both of these creatures are NOT friendly. I can sense it. They don't have the most nasty negative energy I've ever sensed in my life but at the same time, I know they already hate us and will kill us if we do anything to piss them off.
My friend's voice snaps me out of it all when she yells from other room if I would like to accompany her and others. They were going for shopping in this little city which was below us. You could see it from our living room window. There also was big horse farm. I agreed to go but when I turned and stepped out if my room on the hallway, I instantly turned to look to my right. At the end of the hallway, short one, was big window again facing the forest.
There, like with my bedroom, was forest hill with dim light coming from somewhere. Between the trees on the small gap stood huge black gorilla. I saw the shape clearly and this, too, had uneasy bright eyes too with nasty energy. Next to the gorilla appeared huge truck! It had uneasy lights too. I instantly hear the truck honk once and that's all I need to hear.
I take step back, pressing myself as hard against my room's door (which closed on its own) as I can since I know that truck WILL drive right through the cabin, tearing it apart. It wants me dead. Probably others too. I close my eyes and I hear that damn truck! I hear the sound of it's engine coming closer and closer. In my mind's eye I can see how it would go right through the cabin, and perhaps it does as a ghost truck, since suddenly the sound vanishes. I open my eyes and in some way I know it did drive through the cabin but there's no any damages. I'm confused but not taking any risks.
I run outside, getting in this tiny red car with the others. The car looks to be very old one, something what hunters would have use like 20-30 years ago. I then started to wake up.
I also had Kuroko no basket dream (Aomine, Kagami, Kuroko) but I don't remember it anymore. Tho, that would have been old dream as well.

Coach House | George Washington's Mount Vernon
This is very odd this is my brother-in-law his coach or carriage or cart whatever they call it it has the chair on it again and they show a couple pictures we think it's the same thing in the war and after and during the war looks like a some sort of box and it's pretty big platform at least and it doesn't look like it has suspension the people say that has something and then they're saying that he used to pull things okay things around and we do believe what they're saying cuz they do have room to hold things in there horses are a big. That doesn't explain the analogy still with the analogy is horseless carriage is a car but that's a different type of cares the same type of gear but it's all gear and I wouldn't in their steel and leather and hold together well looks like what could be called a frame and the horses pull using that and it's kind of a system like our engine would be tied in with metal straps and bolted to a frame this is attached to the rest of the vehicle but in this case the horse goes in the middle of two basically solid arms but it's something in tied to it with gear just like a regular horse. Some kind of ask around as to what that synagogue is to analogous too and I can't find it.
Hera
No then I can think of the trike cuz you're up there riding the horse towing something in the carriage you don't have to steer it but I can't ride it right I might get hurt they're horrible vehicles and the other thing is a stupid total part on the e-bike and they're hard to ride around with
Zues Hera
Need to make riding the bike harder you'd have to take less trips it'll be dangerous less hard on the bike but you got to stop the bike just the same. We did examine it and you think the e-bike is supposed to be a motorcycles next year so people think it's a cart and he doesn't want to do it just thinking about it but and sometimes it just negated in this case they might because he was selling uranium they're going to try and find it and see if it's scorched or replaced Dave was looking people. The carriage portion might get passed over but it's like a trailer but it would be on a motorcycle and he's not going to have a motorcycle unless he uses an off-road and we don't think he's going to do that it wouldn't be a motorcycle or even a trike could be a quad that might be what it is and it can use it to mow the lawn there's some places in Florida where you can drive a quad and he can get groceries actually drive to the grocery store you have to lock it up but they have places it's a wealthy community and you drive the quality inn and you get your stuff and you put it on the back and you container and a lot of people do it cuz they're getting air so that's what's happening here so we have a bunch of things to do but this is important and he can't seem to figure out what it is and he says it's a trike looks like one maybe it's a tuk tuk could be. Harrison Ford has one in the movie but and yeah he's upset about that. But here it is in a nutshell you know what it is and it might be this stupid thing with the cart behind the e-bike and he's trying to avoid it because it doesn't help the thing and it really is not good for it so we also figured out if they're messing around with them again all the time and he's trying to rest and heal and they're missing that up so we don't know what to do but now we do but taking a long time there's some more stuff to talk about and he says he has to go get some things and water is priority

Olympus
I'm trying to tell you they are trying to threaten I think you get it and he's thinking and usually the horse drawing carriage thing was a car and people don't say and it's been different cars from different places but usually it's a German American type thing and didn't really happen that much they like either one or something so that's another thing too they don't really do it that much with you the next carriage is interesting and he may have seen it it's small and sporty that's German too though the same guy so it's kind of like making sense a little but the first one is just a flatbed and you put different stuff on it give me like a German pickup truck they have those they're expensive

"So, how'd your date go?" Max asked as soon as she got into the car. It had been killing her ever since Billy came home last night, at around 10 o'clock. She heard him coming in, but knew better than to bombard him right after his date at such a late hour. But he didn't seem upset or angry.
Max knew what Billy was in for. She’d asked around, and this girl was unlike any girl Billy had ever associated himself with. She was nice.
She’d learned that you were good- an honors student. President of the drama club, and a total math and history nerd. To be honest, you sounded almost boring until he mentioned that you were friends with Mike's older sister, Nancy. She’d learned about how one of their friends had vanished, just like Will, and you were the one who had actually discovered her body. You and Nancy stopped being friends rather recently, so you were kind of a loner. That struck Max as fascinating. You didn't seem like the type of girl to wander the halls or spend your weekends alone. You seemed popular, outgoing- but not unworthy of it. You seemed like the type of girl who remembered people's birthdays or would check on a friend if they didn't show up at school. How could you be a loner? You seemed like the best thing Hawkins had to offer.
"It was good, we watched a movie and talked for a while," Billy said, obviously not registering how invested Max was in this relationship.
She decided to make it more obvious, "Did you kiss her?" she asked as Billy pulled out of the driveway and onto the road, headed towards the middle and high schools.
"Why do you need to know that?"
"Because she's cool. And sweet. And you've changed a lot since you started talking to her."
"And that's... good?" he asked. Max couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or genuine.
"Yes," she said, "you're nicer." She knew it sounded harsh, but she’d called him worse.
Billy stared at the road ahead, deep in thought. "We didn't. She kind of freaked out when I tried to."
"Why?"
"I don't know, she made up something about how the scene in the movie was so important that I had to pay attention, but I knew it was bullshit. I think she just doesn't like me like that."
"She agreed that you two were on a date. I'm pretty sure she likes you like that. Maybe she just got nervous... has she ever kissed anyone before?"
"How am I supposed to know that?"
"Just ask her."
"I'm not going to do that." He assured her. She had to admit, it was a bad idea. That stuff was private, whether or not you've kissed anyone. It was your business, not Max’s or Billy’s. "But we did plan a second date. This Saturday."
"Are you going to try and kiss her again?"
"Maybe... I don't know. Should I?" Max couldn't believe that Billy was coming to her for dating advice. The California Casanova himself couldn't figure out if he wanted to kiss a pretty girl or not.
"Honestly? I don't think you should. Let her be the one to make the move."
"Max, I swear to god, if you're trying to pull something- "
"I'm not, I swear." she assured him. Max wanted him to be happy. More importantly, she wanted him to stop being such a jerk. You could change him, and she wanted that more than anything.
"Well. I'll try it. Because I like her, not because you told me to. I just- I really like her. And I don't want to screw this up. I honestly don't mind if she just wants to be friends." He said as he ran a stop sign and reached into his pocket for his cigarettes and lighter.
A part of Max also felt sorry for you, because deep down she knew you could do so much better. You seemed like the type to meet some guy in college, probably a business or law student, then get married and move to the city after they graduated. Have a perfect nuclear family and live the rest of your life safely and boring. Maybe you were having an identity crisis. Maybe you secretly had low standards. Or maybe, you had a major self-esteem problem. She made a mental note to look out for you. In a way, she felt like she was protecting you, but also pushing you into the deep end of a pool.
Saturday
Neil and Susan were out of town for the weekend, and as much as it pained the both of them to leave Max and Billy home alone, they assured them that they would be fine for two days. This gave Max the great idea to have you come over to their house for the date instead of yours.
When you arrived on Saturday night, you looked even prettier than the last time she saw you. Your hair was in its natural state, but pinned back with two hair clips. You wore a shirt that was olive green, a color that complimented you nicely.
You were out of his league, there was no question about it. So what was it about Billy that attracted you so much? The curiosity was eating Max alive.
Before the date even started, Max was ready to make my way to her bedroom to ponder it for the rest of the night, not wanting to ruin Billy’s date. Billy had begged her a few hours before you arrived for Max to stay in her room, and she wasn't going to argue with him. But you stopped her, "Wait, you can join us if you want," you said.
Max could see how shocked Billy was and how horrible he was at hiding it. An invitation to sit in on their date? It made Max’s heart race, and she had to make sure her cheeks weren't flushed. A high school girl wanted her to hang out with her. She never got along with girls her own age, or girls at all for that matter. For as long as she could remember, Max had only gotten along with boys. But that didn't mean she didn't want a girl best friend. A part of her wished she were more girly, maybe then people wouldn't be so scared of her.
"Are you sure?" she asked, giving you an out. She was perfectly okay with taking a few slices of pizza and burrowing herself in her bedroom for the night. She didn't want to ruin this for Billy. But, they did previously agree that he wasn't going to try anything with you tonight. You were going to make the move if you wanted to.
"Yeah," you assured her, "I brought Singin' In The Rain, have you ever seen it?" Max shook her head. You looked at Billy with eyes that were begging him to let her watch the movie with them, and he was desperately trying to hide how annoyed he looked. He knew that if he said he wasn't okay with her being there, he'd look like a jerk. But if she joined them, it wasn't really a date anymore.
He plastered on a tight grin and said, "Yeah, Max, I don't mind."
Max sat in a chair while Billy sat with you on the couch. She observed your behavior when she should've been paying attention to a movie she’d never seen. The movie was about thirty years old, there was too much tap dancing and singing, and one girl with a really annoying voice. Max figured it wasn't worth it to pay attention. You would chime in every once in a while with a fact about the movie that nobody really cared about. Apparently the two main love interests didn't like each other in real life, and most of the actors got really injured or exhausted because of all the dancing. It was intriguing, considering when Max did pay attention to the movie, it was light and exciting and all the actors seemed so happy.
Billy spent most of the movie looking at your reactions, admiring you, and hiding the fact that he wasn't paying attention either by laughing when you laughed. How could you be so oblivious that he wasn't into the same things you were? For your sake, I hoped that this was all just his weird way of flirting and that he wasn't just trying to use you. He smiled when you would hum along to the songs and bob your head to the rhythm.
It was clear that all he saw was you.
Max didn't want to intrude any more than she already had, so when the movie ended, she made up a lie about how tired she was and headed to her bedroom. But not before you thanked her for joining and said goodbye. Luckily, herbedroom was near the living room, and if she kept her door open at a certain angle, she could see right where you and Billy were sitting without you seeing her.
"Your sister is really sweet," she heard you say to him, you adjusted your body to where you were closer to him and facing him.
Max knew what Billy was going to say next. He'd say, "She's not my sister" like he always did. It's not like he resented her, but he resented his dad for marrying her mom. He resented the whole idea of being forced to call someone he didn't grow up with family.
But he surprised her by saying, "Yeah, Max is alright."
The conversation carried on from there. No kissing, not even so much as hand holding. You did look like you wanted him to try to kiss you. Maybe to reject him again, or maybe you really did want him to kiss you this time. But from afar, you did really seem as enamored with him as he was with you.
Max felt her eyes start to actually get heavy around 11 o'clock, but she wanted to stay up and keep watching. You and Billy were just talking to each other. About life, about school, about friends. Sometimes you spoke so low Max couldn't make out what either of you were saying. But a part of her knew that was stuff you didn't want to talk about with anyone else; stuff that was too personal, stuff that you’d kept hidden from the world for years. So a part of her appreciated the fact that my ears deceived her in those moments. She didn't need to know all your secrets.
November 3, 1984
Billy’s different. He’s good. It just seemed like he turned good overnight, and it’s a little hard to believe. There’s this girl- he likes her a lot. I can’t explain it, but for some reason she makes things so much better. Not just for him, but for everything in general. Is that weird? Today they had a date. Is it weird for my heart to be racing, even though it wasn’t my date? I don’t know why I’m acting like this- she’s just a cool girl. And weirdly, she’s my friend now… I think.

Always There
Chapter 2: Happy & Sad
A/N: I wrote this while I was inspired; I’ve been bellyaching over this story for like 3 weeks and just wanted to get it published. I hope y’all enjoy it. The title is a Kacey Musgraves song, which this entire album was the inspo for this story.
The next couple of months were a blur. He felt Y/N’s absence almost immediately. He did what he did best and threw himself into work.
Claire was upset with him; she had pulled what he did to Y/N out of him.
She told him he was making a mistake, that Y/N sounded like “the one” and their parents would have definitely approved.
He couldn’t stop thinking about Y/N; surely she should have moved on by now. What was she doing? Was she still counseling others? Was she fucking someone else? He felt ashamed, he really had ruined things with her, and he wouldn’t be surprised if she hadn’t thrown herself into another serious relationship.
He was growing more miserable by the day; everyday just felt lonelier. He had a taste of what a domestic, simple life had in store for him. Y/N was right, she was blessed to live in that gorgeous town, and he felt himself longing for it too.
He made up his mind and sent an email to the director. He was going to go back to that town and work something out with Y/N. He was going to apologize and make things right; or at least try to.
His flight landed in the decent sized airport in the middle of the morning. He had a plan but still felt nervous. There was a decent chance Y/N wanted nothing to do with him and wouldn’t take him back; but he was willing to take that chance.
The neighborhood of her residence was something out of a movie. Big oak trees leaned their branches over the road covering each house with a blanket of shade. Her house was a charming white cottage with azalea bushes out front. There was a colorful wreath on the door and a sturdy porch swing.
His feet felt heavy as he was climbing the steps up to the door. He knocked on the door and was surprised when he heard footsteps almost immediately.
He almost dropped to his knees in anxiety when she answered the door.
There she was, her Y/C hair was pulled neatly on top of her head, her eyes as bright as he had ever seen them. Then there it was, his eyes glanced downwards to her abdomen and she had her hand resting on a small bump.
She was equally shocked to see him. The two just stared at eachother for what felt like ages until Y/N broke the silence.
“Did Julieanne tell you?” She asked her voice just above a whisper.
“I had no idea about this!” He gestured at the small bump. “I was surprised she even returned my messages; but I guess I know why.”
She just laughed a humorless laugh. Her sister would kill to be a witness to this “grand romantic gesture.” As she liked to call it. Damn her, she read too many romance novels.
“I better get you inside, don’t want my nosy neighbors to get the wrong idea and call the cops.”
He loved her dry sense of humor, but guessing by the number of neighbors that just now decided to do “yard work” he decided there was some truth to her statement.
He stepped inside ths cottage. “Y/N I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for how I left things with you; but why didn’t you try to reach out?”
Chris took her small hands into his.
“I thought about everything you’d said to me Chris, I didn’t want to force this on you.” She looked down at her feet, avoiding eye contact. “I didn’t want to upset you.”
Chris embraced her tightly, “Y/N, all I could think about these last two months is starting a life with you and a family.” He let go of her. “I told myself I couldn’t have it, and I know how wrong that was.”
She cupped his cheek with her hand and began to stroke his stubble with her thumb. “What are we gonna do?” She asked, looking him in the eyes.
“I’m going to be there for you two.” Chris smiled at her.
“This time I mean it.”
“What about the BSAA? What about your job there? Aren’t they going to freak out that one of their leading agents is going to retire?” She said quickly.
“I’m sure I can work something out with them.”
“I’m not going back to New York.”
“I didn’t say we would have to do that.” He shrugged.
She missed him, there was no denying it. She missed the moments when he had a hopeful glint in his eye, she’d almost forget what kind of work he did and what kinds of things he had seen.
“Are you talking about moving here?” She asked hopefully.
“I plan on it.” He said confidently. “Did you know the military base here has had platoons run in with the BSAA?”
She cocked an eyebrow. “Seriously? This little base here?”
He laughed. “Don’t underestimate that little base, they’ve got some pretty capable people there and some pretty impressive talent. I’ve convinced the director to come to a deal with the US military.”
“Chris no you didn’t, you literally moved heaven and earth just to come back?” She was blown away. Talk about cliche.
“Now don’t give me all the credit, it’s been in the works for years, they just needed the right person to spearhead it; and The director figured who better than a founding member?” He said proud of himself.
Y/N just stood there shocked. She was blown away; the same man that had told her two months ago he wanted nothing to do with her was in her living room promising her the world and making it happen.
“Chris, I don't know what to say.”
“Please just tell me that you’ll reconsider giving me another chance.” He said putting his warm hand on her thigh.
That made her blush. The memories of all the good times they had together came flooding back; but, the way he made her feel in that hotel room, she couldn’t move past it.
She remembered going to Julieannes and crying her eyes out until she fell asleep. She remembered feeling sick but chalking it up to her nerves.
It was Julieanne that convinced her to take the test, and another one when they both showed up positive. The doctor confirmed it and she sat in her car in the hospital parking lot crying; she would be tied to him forever whether he knew or not.
She had to heal, he had his reasons for leaving; and he was back. She took a deep breath.
“Only if you fucking talk it out with me next time rather than leaving me.” She looked at him, some anger in her eyes and some of that playfulness he had fall in love with.
“I promise babe.” He said and pulled her in for a passionate kiss. He was stroking her hair and she had her fingers tangled in his.
It felt like a dream for the both of them.
They both came up for air when Chris laid his hands softly on her abdomen.
“When will we know anything about this small person?” He said lovingly.
She kissed him on his warm forehead.
“I have an appointment in a couple of weeks, if you’d like to come along.” She said happily.
“Of course, I don’t want to miss out on anymore moments with you and our baby boy.”’ He winked at her.
She smiled. “You’re really so sure it’s going to be a boy huh?”
“Of course, there’s always the first born son in the Redfield family.”
“So we’re the Redfields? Shouldn’t I change my name?” She said, pushing his buttons.
“You know, I knew there was a reason I came down here.” He said sarcastically.
He had his speech prepared, but there was no need to; everything happened so naturally.
He pulled out a blue velvet box from his pocket. It definitely had some age to it, but it was beautiful nonetheless.
“Y/N I know this seems crazy, but one thing I’ve learned is life is short-“ she cut him off.
“Yes, Redfield I’ll marry you.” She said bluntly.
“You didn’t even give me a chance Y/N.”‘Chris said, taken aback.
“I didn’t have to, your actions were all I needed.” She said cupping his cheek again. He loved the feel of her dainty hands on his face.
He opened the box and inside was a dainty antique engagement ring. It had to be an heirloom she thought.
“I know it seems small, but I didn’t have much time. We can go shopping together and we can find the perfect ring, no matter what it costs.” Chris said nervously.
It was beautiful, it was what looked like a 2 carat European cut diamond, with intricate filigree on the sides. “Chris this is beautiful, whose ring is this?” She said still in shock.
“It was my mother’s, but it was my grandmothers before that.”
“Claire didn’t want it?” She said incredulously
“Claire thought it would be put to better use with you.”’
Y/N couldn’t believe it, she hadn’t even met Claire and she was putting a lot of faith into her being perfect for her brother. She also thought of how generous she was for letting Chris propose with their own Mother’s ring. if it was Y/N she would have kept it for herself; but, that spoke for what kind of family she would be marrying into. What their child would be born into; a loving and accepting one.
She smiled as he slipped the ring on her finger. “It fits perfectly!” She said shocked.
“I totally took a chance on it being the right size too.” Chris said, rubbing the back of his head.
“You mean you didn’t think to get it sized beforehand?” Y/N asked suspiciously.
“I told you I had a revelation and was short on time! Magical moments like this wait for no one!” He said half joking.
Y/N looked at him and just smiled. “I can’t believe this is really happening.” She leaned into his chest. “I love you Chris Redfield.”
“I love you too. Y/N.” And you shared a sweet, chaste kiss.
————//////——////———/////——-//////——-/////———/////-
After a long engagement and the birth of their son Jonah, Chris found himself standing in the groom’s suite of the little church Y/N had grown up in.
“Well, I guess I’m the one who ended up marrying Y/N in this church.”’he thought to himself.
Sure, the last couple of months hadn’t been too easy; but he got to spend them with Y/N and that was all worth it.
Chris and Y/N were over the moon when they found out they were actually expecting a boy.
The two had taken great care in constructing their nursery for their bundle of joy and were so relieved when they had finished.
When Y/N had finally gone into labor, it had actually hit her she was going to be a mother and finally panicked. Chris made sure that he was there for her through it all; the actual delivery, the sleepless nights and the postpartum depression.
She hadn’t anticipated going through a roller coaster of emotions like she did; but Chris understood and was there when she needed help.
The two made a perfect team when it came to parenting. Chris found himself extremely hands on and very supportive. He made sure that once Y/N came home from the hospital and actually sleep after her delivery; not worry about Jonah the entire time.
Y/N was so thankful, she knew he would be a great partner; but she hadn’t expected anything like this.
After a couple months of living in pure bliss with their infant son; Y/N’s father, Roy, asked them about their plans for getting married.
“You know I was just so caught up in Jonah’s arrival, I hadn’t even thought of us.” Y/N answered truthfully.
“I was thinking maybe heading down to the courthouse and just signing the paperwork. What do you think babe?” She looked at Chris.
“I think if you want an actual ceremony Y/N we should have one.” Chris smiled and took her hand in his.
She looked over at her sister and Clarke, who were both smiling so hard she thought they would explode.
“We’ll see.” She said, and with that Julieanne squealed with delight and started to plan.
It was a beautiful day in the middle of fall. The weather had started to cool down and the trees had started to change colors.
Y/N was getting ready in the bridal suite with Julieanne and Claire. Claire was over the moon when Y/N asked her to be apart of the wedding personally.
“I can’t believe the day is already here!” Claire squealed. “I can’t believe my brother is actually settling down.”
Julieanne laughed “I know, I can’t believe the same for my sister either.”
Julieanne and Claire were like two peas in a pod, within the first 10 minutes of meeting, they had already exchanged phone numbers.
Y/N’s heart was so full, she had managed to create a large loving support system for her growing family.
“Y/N, it’s time.” Julieanne whispered to her.
“I know, I’ll go ahead and go to the doors of the church I’ll See y’all in a minute.”
Y/N quietly made her way through the church walkway, from fellowship hall, to the doors of the chapel where the coordinator & her father were waiting for her.
“You ready magnolia?” Her father asked taking her arm.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” She kissed her father on the cheek.
The doors opened and she stepped through the threshold.
There were dozens of smiling faces at her, but all she could focus on was the handsome man standing at the altar.
The wedding was absolutely lovely and the two of them were close to tears.
They were able to duck away for a private moment immediately following the ceremony. The two sat in the Bridal suite, reminiscing on their relationship before Jonah.
The two then joined the rest of the reception and were introduced as husband and wife. They danced and socialized with each others families. It was Y/N’s first time getting to chat with the Burtons, and she became very fond of Barry and his wife by the end of the night. They couldn’t stop cooing over Jonah.
Jill and her partner, Carlos were there as well. Y/N was ecstatic having so many important people in Chris’ life attend. She knew all of these people were important to him and that it wasn’t easy having them all here.
She made a mental note to make sure they received all Of their addresses to send thank yous.
The night eventually ended much to the couples chagrin and relief. They were sad the night had to end, but we’re relieved as they both weren’t 21 anymore and very tired.
“Where’s Jonah?” Y/N asked her sister.
“Girl, you didn’t know? Y’all are staying in a room in that fancy hotel on Desoto island for the week.”
“What?” Y/N was done with the surprises. She looked at Chris. “Was this your plan?”
Chris smiled at her. “Trust me, I had nothing to do with this, Julieanne let me know two nights ago. We got your bags all packed though.”
“I can’t believe y’all would surprise us like that; it’s so expensive! Who’s going to be taking care of Jonah?”
Claire chimed in, “I figured I could spend some time in the city with Jonah, and Julieanne’s family.”
“Y’all are seriously the best.” Y/N said with tears in her eyes.
“Y’all just have fun and relax; I also heard Jonah wants a brother or sister.” Julieanne winked at them.
Y/N playfully punched her dear sister.
——////——-////—-////—-////—-////—-////—-////—-////—-////
Chris and Y/N arrived at the beautiful hotel on the beach at around 1 am. They were sharing a bottle of champagne on the balcony of the room, the warm salty air blowing through their hair.
“Is this what you’d imagined married life being like?” She said to Chris with heavy lidded eyes.
“To be honest with you, I never thought I’d have moments like these.” Chris said somewhat melancholy. “I thought my job would have killed me or that I would have ruined everything I touched.”
Y/N leaned over and kissed him. “You’re perfect.”
He replied with a deeper kiss. She ran her fingers through his cropped hair and just relished in the moment. She broke the kiss and beckoned him inside the cool hotel room.
“Might as well make good use of this bed and give Jonah a sibling.” She winked at him.
Chris was more than happy to oblige.
“I’m so lucky to spend the rest of my life with you.”’
“I think the word you’re looking for is blessed

Hi so, a while ago you put out a post about how Augustus Aquato's mental world is a train and how it might work as a level? And it was brilliant, so I had a question: I'm writing a fic and I was wondering if you'd mind me taking the general idea and twisting it to my own narrative ends- and if you're cool with that, would you want a credit somewhere, like as part of the chapter notes?
oh man I haven’t thought about Augustus’s train level in forever! I don’t mind u using the idea, and I would appreciate credit so thank u for asking!! But I’m not sure I have a real “narrative” more just a general idea on how the level would go?? Then again this is LONG so maybe it is a narrative…
One note before we go, Raz gets a costume for this level! Similar to in Black Velvetopia or Feast of the Senses. But instead of just a color palette change, tho he does do that here going to more older “yellow red blue” aesthetic is the best way I can describe it-, he gets a whole costume! A mix of his circus garb and a little server outfit, like he’s train staff!!
It starts with Raz at the back of the train, in the luggage cart, where he would end up looking around for a door. This is where he finds all the emotional baggage, shoved away without their tags, ignored and pushed to the side, along with a metal cage that…doesn’t seem to house something friendly.
Once Raz leaves he ends up walking through the whole train to reach the front. There’s a dining cart, the usual sitting cart u see in mystery movies, but then it cuts to a whole ass circus inside one of the carts. It seems to span endlessly upwards, with beautiful set decoration and plenty of space for tricks. Unfortunately, the performers are currently out, which means the circus is closed. It’s almost a bit uncomfortable to walk around this bright, cheery place full of happy circus music only for there to be no actual people there. Just figments. (Similar to Helmut’s mind, there’s a center stage that pictures all the Aquato’s performing the same trick Raz’s mental vault showed off. Even with Raz levitating Mirtala’s tiara. No detail left out.)
Then we reach the fourth cart, last one before the conductor’s cart, and it’s quite the cute homey storage area. There’s train and circus supplies alike stuffed away, but there’s also pictures of the family. New ones and old ones that Augustus is able to remember now, older ones in cracked frames but still lovingly hung on the walls. Though, if Raz looks closer at the old pictures, every instance of Lucrecia or Marona have been scribbled out in either black marker or just torn out completely. Nona remains untouched in the newer pictures, but she’s a bit pushed aside now. Even in memories Raz knows they were close, Nona has been put aside for the rest of the family.
Then, Raz finally gets to the conductors cart, and it’s quite the sight to see! It’s an odd combination of an actual engine/control room on a train and a big top tent, with ropes and trapeze swings for Augustus, our conductor and ringmaster for the evening, to get around easier.
When Raz asks what his dad’s doing, Augustus happily shows him around the head of the train and tells him they’re fully on course to their next destination! The only trouble is…Augustus isn’t sure where that destination could be. He shows Raz a mental map and reveals he’s had three thoughts floating in his head.
Either -his family continues with the circus without Raz, leaving their baby to do his psychonauts training alone
-they make Raz come with them which would upset him greatly, but the family would at least stay whole
Or -give up on the circus and finally settle down. Ruining their livelihood, but staying with family.
Augustus and Raz look at the map, and when Raz offers to find some kind of middle ground Augustus shakes his head, saying there’s too much to find a middle ground. He has to choose one of these options when the fork in the road comes. Eventually, no matter how much prying or poking Raz does, Augustus shoves himself into his work, refueling the train, keeping an eye on the controls, ordering Censors who act like staff here to take care of passengers n all that jazz.
Raz eventually is given a job by a very busy Augustus to find the rest of the family and get them settled in the circus cart. They need to get back to performing eventually.
And that ends up being Raz’s sort of “main mission”, wandering around the train and playing hide and seek with his family, finding them all in different locations and learning how Augustus thinks they view him, be it as a father or a husband or even just family.
Dona thinks he’s a pushover, saying how she’s always the one who has to pick up his slack.
Dion’s upset that he trusted him for so long but now all that trust is gone because everything Augustus said about psychics n mentalists was basically a lie.
Frazie’s pissed that Augustus never taught her anything, even though he’s Psychic too!
Mirtala feels lonely because Augustus doesn’t spend time with her, too busy to play anymore.
And Queepie thinks Augustus is just old and boring, a father he’s stuck with until hes older.
Finding Nona however gives Raz three different mental constructs. One of Nona, the old shaky grandma hes know forever. One of Lucrecia, younger and clearly in her prime before the Deluge. And one of…Marona. She’s in very old coloring style, but she’s there. On a shaky memory but she’s there.
These three aren’t really going to perform, so they’re more like the constructs of the Psychic 7 in Cassie’s mind. Theyre there to show Raz how Augustus thinks of his mothers, the many he’s had apparently.
Marona views Augustus as her sweet little baby. She’s so upset she never got to see him grow up, but there’s an air about her attitude that acts like she didn’t try hard enough, and not that she was literally killed that day. (Augustus trying to twist his own memories so he won’t have to mourn his mother, if he makes her a bad person he won’t have to mourn her.)
Lucrecia is very flippant, waving a hand at Raz when he asks about Augustus and commenting that she hasn’t seen him in so long. He never comes out of the conductors cart, and they’re both too busy to really work together. (Showing Lucrecia wasn’t always there for Augustus before she lost her memories, she was busy with the Psychic 7 n such.)
Nona is an odd mix of the two. It’s clear she loves Augustus, she even shows Raz a cute little family photo of her husband, herself, and Augustus. Though the husband’s face keeps shifting, and Nona keeps going from Marona to Lucrecia to old Nona and back and forth. But Augustus stays the same lil guy.
She tells Raz that Augustus works far too hard, pushing and pushing himself to be the back bone of this family. Nona can’t do it, she’s too old. Dona can’t do it, she’s his wife. The kids can’t do it, they’re children! It’s only up to Augustus.
Basically, Raz learns from the three motherly figures that Augustus from day one has carried everyone else’s weight. After the Deluge, when he had his own family…he took the reigns before anyone else could and made himself the conductor. The ringmaster. The leader of this family, so no one else would have to worry about that kind of weight. And overtime, as Raz sees when he heads back to the conductors cart continuously to inform him he found another family member, it’s weighing too much on him too.
Anytime Raz offers to help, Augustus says he doesn’t need it. That he has a system. That the system works, but it only works with one person manning the machine. He’s the only one who’s known how to do it, and he’s the only one who can keep the train running, so he just needs to focus on keeping the train moving. As long as it keeps moving, he won’t need to stop and ask for help. He looks tired, too. Overtime his face has been covered in dusted soot and his hat is lopsided. His suit is all cloudy and he just looks exhausted…but he keeps pushing the train along.
This all eventually comes to a head when Raz tells Augustus he has the whole family together again, and Augustus informs him that Razputin isn’t there. When Raz tries to tell him he doesn’t need Raz to perform, Augustus insists that he does. That’s the system. He can’t just break the system. Without Raz there, then it’s not the Aquato family circus. It’s just…the Aquato circus. It’s not whole. It’s not complete. But Augustus doesn’t know how to get Raz back, so without Raz they can’t start the show, but with Raz Augustus can’t stop working the train to keep it moving forward.
He’s trapped himself in a loop of constantly overworking himself, to the point where he doesn’t even want to do the one thing he loves so much, that being acrobatics. Or rather, he just can’t stop being busy to try to perform with the family. He can’t find a new system, because the old system is so reliant on him that if Augustus stops he probably won’t be able to remember how to start it again. Like taking a break when you’re super busy, it’s always 10 times harder to get back to work after a break. Especially when the system is so complex like Augustus’ is.
It worked in the past, but it’s outdated now. Augustus can’t keep working on his own. He needs help. But he can’t just…accept his family’s help. He’s done too much damage, reinforcing these ideas of mentalists and the water curse that wasn’t even a curse.
Btw remember that fourth cart from earlier? Yeah, by now in the narrative, every time Raz passes back through that cart, it’s become more full of soot and rain water to the point where it’s like a storm passed through there, water covering the ground and all the pictures being broken.
This all comes to a head when Raz tries to forcibly stop his father from controlling the train just to prove he doesn’t need to be the one to carry all this weight, but the two pushing and pulling on the controls ends up with the train…crashing.
All of Augustus’ hard work, all the time and effort he spent making this work, all the painful nights of holding back his own tears and never saying a word of how he truly felt…has been for nothing. Or basically, this represents how when you’re trapped in a toxic mindset of serving other people, when you’re finally able to stop doing that it’s like the world is crashing down around you. You spent so long helping these people, and it’s just…never mattered? At all? Anyone else can do it? What about me? What about what I’ve sacrificed? All of it was for you, and you’re telling me it’s meant nothing?
This is when that cage from before, which has been slowly loosening overtime the more Raz collects and sorts the Emotional Baggage in the luggage cart, the tags which are found all over the train usually where you’d find the family members, finally cracks open and out pops Augustus’s own Maligula. I picture it like a hybrid of Lucy’s Maligula, with the purple skin and the looming presence and tear tracks, and Raz’s mental construct of his dad, with the stitching and the unrealistic twisting and bending and attitude.
This results in a fight where Augustus’ Maligula becomes this giant water monster intent on completely destroying the train and taking over the system, to which Raz and Augustus need to stop it together. Augustus essentially acts as support, giving Raz a boost of power similar to how he did in Psychonauts 1 and telekinetically tossing projectiles towards him so Raz can fight back against the storm.
Once Augustus Maligula is defeated and recaged, Augustus swears to Raz he isn’t going to do this alone anymore. The train will be…out of commission for awhile, so Augustus can catch up with family business. He doesn’t know how he’ll continue the circus, or what path they’ll go down…but with his family there? And thanks to Razputin’s help?
Augustus is positive they can find a middle ground this time. One that, hopefully, won’t crash and burn.
Tldr; Augustus’s entire mental world is about him ignoring his trauma and feelings after he’s remembered everything and forcing himself into work. Be it caring for the family, focusing on the circus, doing whatever he can to occupy his mind and not think about his feelings. This unfortunately leads him to ignoring his family, which leads into Augustus believing they don’t want him around in the first place for what he’s done.
Augustus keeps feeding into his own bad mentality and habits because this is all he’s known for all his life. So he doesn’t have much else to go off. And because he doesn’t realize it’s bad, he doesn’t talk about it. He doesn’t wanna burden his family with more problems when they already are dealing with enough.
Augustus needs to be a strong husband and father right now. He needs to keep the train moving for his family. Even when he’s so exhausted he can barely think, he has to keep going. It’s all worth it when it’s for his family.
…so yeah that’s basically it :D use this however u will, and again I appreciate u asking about credit!!! Ur very sweet!!!

I have so much more to fucking bitch about so I might as well add on.
We find out the baby's, or well fetus, gender tomorrow. I hope for the sake of the child, it's a girl. I mean fuck, in a family like this it's fucked either way. I wanted to get out. I knew I wouldn't, at least not for a good while but now I can't leave. I can't leave this child alone. I can't I can't I can't. Guilt would eat me alive. I don't want it to grow up like me. The child's gonna need a kind hand and a calm voice amongst. Everyone else. I don't think i can provide that but no one else will. I feel so sick thinking about it. I feel like this unborn creature has chained me this god forsaken fucking family.
I mean I never had a future anyways, I'm a waste of space. Destined to be usless, worthless, a leech. I don't have a purpose in life I just feel so lost. I don't know what to do I'm scared and I'm stuck. I know what I want to do but, I'm embarrassed. It's stupid. It's truly stupid but I want it. I don't think my mom will be proud of me but i don't think she ever was. I was never enough like my sister.
I had a plan but. I dunno. I wanted to get a mixology license when I became of age. And work in my town's library in the year's prior if they'd accept me. Maybe later in life I'd go to college, learn psychology. Just because I find it interesting. But those are just childish dreams. I can't even drive because I'm too pussy no sense in chasing dreams I was never supposed to have.
I'm afraid I'll stay the same. Exhausted, unmotivated, a recluse. I'll never survive in the workforce like that.
I found out I was 111lbs today. I was so excited when I was led to the scale until I saw those fucking numbers. My grandma called me 'chub' when she was told the numbers and she's right but. Ugh. I need to lose that 11 pounds. Like I'm genuinely distressed about it. I actually want to cry.
The anniversary of my grandpa's death is soon. I'm taking that day off but not for me. I just don't want my grandma to be alone. I don't even give a fuck that I'm missing my recognition night and I don't give a fuck if the way she raised me was 'abusive'. I'm not leaving her alone on a day like that. We're going grocery shopping as per her request and I'm not gonna fucking complain.
An I thought my alive grandpa was gonna die the entire month until my dad informed me he was home again. I can't handle another death. Not right now. And I don't want to fly all the way to St. Louis with my pregnant sister to deal with my mourning father face to face. To see my grandma again after. 6 or 7 year's. I feel so guilty for not visiting but I just don't. I can't. I can't stand my father but I love him and miss him so so much. And fuck I miss my grandma and how when they lived here we felt like a real family and ate family dinners and they played with me and we baked and decorated cookies we went to the movies together I felt loved. It wasn't cold. There was bickering, not arguing and it wasn't constant. It didn't feel like the world would collapse if I was too much. They looked at me. I was acknowledged. I wasn't a ghost floating around the house and hiding in corners. Glued to a screen because it was better than being told I was exhausting or in the road.
My mother feels like a ghost now. She's never home on weekends because she's with her boyfriend. When she comes home from work she sits on the couch and naps but claims she doesn't. She disappears upstairs or in a far away room to talk on the phone. She's indifferent to everything. Noncommittal. Always telling me 'I don't care what you do you're an adult' or something or other anytime I ask for advice. When i hug her or lay next to her on the couch she gets upset saying she's busy but she's actually on facebook or playing monopoly go. I know she gave up on parenting me in middle school but it still stings. She never really did parent me tho. My grandma did. Her mom, my nanny. And my dad wasn't really a parent at all. A babysitter or a friend maybe. I was his therapist and still am. Whatever it doesn't matter. My heart is getting heavy thinking about them. It aches. Just like my mother said im never happy.
I hate her but I love her so much. Sometimes I feel like I would do anything for her undivided attention. Anything. Well. Sexually. Which I don't know why my brain is going there. She'd never do that. That means she'd have to acknowledge my existence. I'm joking about that but she still never would.
I hate how I think things like that. How. Content I am with being okay with idea of being raped. Like I crave it like I crave an abusive relationship. I don't know why but fuck am i a horrible person for it. Just because I accidentally found porn at age 8 without realizing what it was n practically became fucking obsessed with masturbating doesn't mean I get to do. That.
I'm just sick and tired. Tired of being in pain. Unable to straighten my left ankle. Constant knee pain in my right knee, forever damned to be limited in my movements. My recent atm injury that's up in the air for what could happen with it. Sick of myself. Sick of the person I was, who I've become. Mourning the person I could've been if I wasn't a disappointment or a mistake or a waste of air or lazy or a horrible person. God I should just fucking kill myself if I'm going to be usless.
I'm so ugh. I keep fucking relapsing an like I know I do have some of control over it I just can't stop at the same time. It's like everytime the scabs fade I have to make new ones. I feel bad or wrong when i don't have any. I can't stop until they scar but I'll never know if they do because my fucking stretch marks in the way.
And everytime I do it I feel like such a disappointment like I'm letting down and hurting my friends. Not my irls fuck those assholes I mean my online friends. I just feel like a shitty person bc what is so bad about my life that warrants taking a plastic knife to my hip? I'm too pussy to even try to cut deep, or at least as deep as you can with fucking plastic. Embarrassing.
And I'm so so afraid of my mom or grandma seeing them. They will actually kill me. My sister's reaction would just piss me off. Ik my irls will just be mad at me for not telling them, dicks. Acting like they're entitled to knowing everything about me but never telling me anything about them.
I promised myself that when i got out of this God forsaken house id do it for real. With a designated knife just for harming myself. Make it all cutesy for that twisted irony affect. I wouldn't have to hide it anymore. It'd be on other limbs too. Not just my one hip. It'd be so freeing.
Not to forget how I feel so fucking fat lately. I don't even know how much i weigh and it's lowkey stressing me out. I haven't been 100 pound in a good while n it's. Ugh. The scale in my house doesn't fucking work anymore. I think. It doesn't help that I just keep eating and eating, especially sweets I just. Ugh. I keep trying to starve myself but i keep giving into temptation. I'm genuinely so fucking upset over this why can't I just be good. Honestly i think starving myself is what gave me those heartburn problems but whatever. I just wanna be 100 pounds again. I'm only worth anything when I'm small. It's the only time people fucking say anything about my body in a nonsexual way and fuck. People always tell me I have the ideal skinny body and I need to keep it or I'll never fucking be worth anything, ya know? And at the rate I'm eating (two decent meals a day plus a handful of snacks, usually dessert type ones) I'll never get that.
I know I shouldn't 'feel' fat I'm well aware I'm still technically a skeleton but when you grow up hearing the shit I did from mainly my own mother or other fuckhead adult women you'd feel the fucking same too. I fucking hate it here.
I only got 'better' because food was appetizing again and passing out at cheer would've been fucking embarrassing. N now cheer is over I was contemplating starting again n then the other day my mom told me that my 'five course meals' so like a plate of bacon or ramen were gonna catch up to me. Pretty much saying I was getting fat which fuck shes right but I wish she didn't say it to my fucking face. God it's disgusting how I often I eat now. She just pretty much gave me a reason to start up again but I'm so fucking weak and pathetic I can't even bring myself to stop.
I just feel so alone nowadays. I have no one to talk to. So much shit bottled up but I can't burden people with it because it's all so. Miniscule that I'm just an asshole for even having those problems. I can never shut my fucking mouth I feel like I scare everyone away and it's honestly deserved. Someone as horrible as me doesn't deserve the comfort I crave. I'm so desperate for attention it's fucking pathetic. I want to cry but I don't deserve it. I don't deserve anything good because I am a monster. I deserve nothing but the pain I feel everyday or just fucking death. I'm just a pest.
Sometimes I wish my ex was abusive. Not because I want a reason to hate him, if anything I'm looking for reasons *that one* encounter was just a mishap. I just crave it. I want to be hurt worse than I ever even was which isn't very fucking hard to achieve since barely anything even happened. I want horrible things done to me I crave it it's embarrassing. It's like im fucking. Romanticizing something people take for-fucking-ever to heal from for my own sick satisfaction.
That one encounter. I just don't even know what to make out of it. Haha make out. It's funny bc we were making out n I could feel his fucking erection through his pants. Presumably erection. I'm a fucking prude with a vagina and I never really did watch porn with actual dicks involved. Either way it was fucking uncomfortable and I remember trying to discretely move bc embarrassment + he was always awkward as fuck n I really couldn't I was just trapped on his lap. My problem is, I don't know if he was holding me there or if my brain is trying to turn him into the enemy. He did ask what was wrong and I said nothing so it is technically my fault. I'm not going anymore into this because I know I'll start reliving the moment (aka my body feeling like it's happening again) and I just can-fucking-not deal with that right now.
Even if i want nothing to do with my ex he was the only person where I was their number 1. He was also the last person I wanted to be that. Growing up I was my 'bffs' back up friend. When their new friend no longer wanted anything to do with them, they'd come crawling right back to me. It's been the same since elementary school and I'm so fucking sick of it. I just want to be there person someone thinks of first, their comfort zone, someone they gravitate to unconsciously. I just want to be loved the way i love others. I'll never be important to anyone it seems. It's just something about me. Maybe I'm to childish or self centered or annoying or untrustworthy or maybe I'm just a horrible person but everyone pities me too much to say anything. Like they all secretly hate me but they all know I'm pathetic and would never survive on my own so they keep me around as a safety net for when their important people fail them.
I seriously need to just stop burdening others with my existence.

kayokayokayokaoakoa I love this so much, uuuugh I literally would do anything for poly hisoka and illumi
CW: drugs
Sometimes they can be so annoying, so hurtful. They never intend to hurt your feelings but after they ganged up on you during your argument... Poly relationships has its troubles. For example, two people thinking one thing and the one person thinking another. You just needed to get away from it all. You just needed a few days to yourself without worrying about anyone else.
Luckily your friend let you stay at her house. Another thing you needed was to be away from men for a little while. You told her you wanted to hear nothing about your own life, you just want to party. The two of you drank, and watched scary movies into the dead of the night. During the day you would sleep in with a hangover and wake up to take Advil.
But of course, it can't last forever, you do need to go home to your boyfriends. They must be worried, you left without a word. In the middle of the night before their mission the next day, you packed a bag and jumped out of the window of the guest room. You just wanted to leave without any discussion, and any more argument.
The three of you live in a house in the woods. It's not too far from a main road and town. You decided on this house because of the scenery. It's so beautiful, especially during winter and spring.
As you walk up towards the house, you see the window you jumped out of is no longer open. You pass the car that's parked on the pebble driveway of your house. You wouldn't be surprised if they put you in the 'dog house' tonight. If anyone gets mad at someone, they sleep in the guest room instead of the shared bedroom. And if we're all mad at each other, someone sleeps in the bedroom, the guest bedroom, and on the couch. But that's a rare occurrence.
You stand in front of the door and take a deep breath. Anxiety riddles your body, just, act natural. Right?
You step inside and call out, "I'm home!"
It's silent, but only for a moment. Hisoka comes rushing to the door and grabs your face tightly, looking into your eyes. You can see the worry lines that have been creased on his face.
"Where were you? We were so worried." He drops his hands behind your back and hugs you tightly. You can see Illumi leaning against the doorframe to the kitchen. He doesn't show any physical signs of being upset or worried, but you know he is.
The rest of the day goes by with a bit of tension. You don't answer to why you disappeared, and you try to move back into daily life. While you do think it's unfair to them, this is easiest for all of you.
You're surprised when the three of you sleep in the same bed. You lay in the middle with Hisoka spooning you and with Illumi's arm wrapping around both of you. Their concern is heard by their actions.
It's 8 am when the sound of birds outside awakens you. God damn birds. You sit up and stretch your arms in the air with a yawn. The bed is empty, and the bedroom door is open. The smell of bacon and eggs waft through the air, and is quickly overpowered by coffee. Illumi doesn't particularly like meat, so he'll probably just eat the eggs.
You leave the room, not bothering to change out of pajamas. Hisoka smiles at you when he sees that you've woken up. He's drinking a cup of coffee and leaning against the kitchen counter while Illumi is cooking on the stove. Before sitting down at the table, you kiss both of them and grab a cup of coffee. These kind of mornings are the best, when all three of you are home.
Hisoka begins talking about the news, and criticizes their commentary. The quiet sound of the radio playing serenades you; it's classical, which Illumi likes.
Finally all three of you sit down, Illumi is eating just eggs and drinking tea, and Hisoka is eating just bacon and drinking coffee. They're polar opposites.
They seem to be watching you, but you pay no mind. It's not uncommon. You take a bite of eggs and then Hisoka begins talking again.
Something about how what the woman telling the news' dress was ugly... something about a dead hunter... something... Man, you're a lot more tired than you thought.
You interrupt Hisoka and stand up, "Hey I don't feel well." You slur your words. "I think I'm going to..." You fall back into your chair and lay your head on the table. It's too much effort to keep your eyes open any longer, so you shut them and succumb to the darkness.
---- Ahh... It's so dark, it's just as dark with your eyes open as with them closed. Are you dreaming? No it can't be, this is too real. You can't move either, maybe it's sleep paralysis. Something is digging into your stomach, your legs, and your wrists. It feels like you're sitting in a chair. But how did you get here?
There's an electrical buzz and then you're blinded by light. You squint until your eyes adjust and look around. It's your basement. You scan the room and- Illumi is standing by the lights, and Hisoka is sitting on the couch.
"What's going on?" Your voice is hoarse and your mouth is dry.
Illumi studies you intently before saying, "Your behavior has been very problematic."
"My... My behavior has?" You ask, baffled.
Hisoka clears his throat, "We thought it was best that you stay home for a while."
"I- I don't understand."
"We're making sure you don't run out on us." Illumi adds.
This is all very confusing.
Hisoka stands up and makes his way towards you. He squats down in front of you where you're sitting. That's when you realize you're tied up by rope.
His hands travel up your thighs and he smiles, "We can't trust you." He stands up and leans forward until his lips are by your ear.
A cough escapes you when suddenly a hand is wrapped tightly around your throat. "So we have to teach you how to stay, pet."

there feels like there's a real disconnect between queer, particularly trans (on-line) culture and politics, for example I follow a lot of accounts that fan out big time every time there's a trans character on TV, it went viral when Kit Connor felt pushed out of the closet, etc etc, I found out that Florida formally banned trans health care for minors from an in passing NYT story, hours after the fact, it didn't blow up, even though both here and on twitter I'm sitting in the middle of the queer cross roads, it just feels like these anti-trans stories are registering less and less, even while people engage more and more with queer media and celebrity
I mean, part of it is people either just not paying attention or deliberately choosing to not pay attention - it's the same kind of mindset involved with wanting to only read and watch comforting content and to only engage with YA and similar genres and to go for the latest Marvel and/or Disney movie, etc. It's about wanting "uplifting" material and escaping and not wanting to have to confront unpleasantness. It's the same mindset that was all about letting lgbtq history die off because of how depressing and sad it was (I remember *that* particular nonsense from a few months or so ago).
It's also the idea that you can compartmentalize or silo your life and experiences, the "are you in a mental headspace to receive information which may be upsetting to you" kind of approach.
Also, a lot of people are *hoping* this kind of thing will just be background noise/in passing, too.

Okay so i'm feeling pretty bad atm because my best friend replaced me and i need some fluffy rn. How about hcs for the reader being coldly abandoned by their previous best friend. Believing she is alone, she falls to her knees and cries outside in the middle of the rain. A moment later, she glances over to see Bakugou, Kirishima and Shinsou behind them trying their best to cover her from the rain with their jacket. Thank you♡
COMFORTING YOU AFTER A FRIENDSHIP ENDS HEADCANNONS + SCENARIOS
[ft. bakugo katuski, kirishima ejirou, shinsou hitoshi]
SUMMARY: In which you are abandoned by your closest friend and are found by the boys.
WORD COUNT: 2.7k
WARNINGS: mentions of murder, mean friends, me being violent, y/n has those main character moments in the rain its nice,
A/N: bb im so sorry that they did that,,, please know that im here if you need anything and i will fight this person :D with your permission of course.
BAKUGOU KATSUKI
your so called friend ended up ditching you
im going to throw hands literally
you end up leaving the café you have been waiting for her in, near tears, and as if it can’t get any worse, you have no ride home, so naturally, you are now walking whilst trying to keep from crying
you’re about half a mile from UA, the hill is visible in the distance and you are very relieved because you just wanna cry in your bed
then it starts to rain
so yeah it did get worse
out of frustration and the built up sadness, you just kinda start crying, coming to a stop and falling to a seat at the side of the road
you felt so alone, the one person you thought would always be around he replaced you
clearly they didn’t feel the same
meanwhile, katuski is running with his jacket above his head, cursing out the skies
and then he spots someone crying in the rain, he initially thinks nothing of it, until he realizes its you
the girl who he “begrudgingly” helped study on weekends, the one who he was up until 2AM with, even though he slept like a grandpa
now he’s cursing for a different reason, he comes over to you
he is gonna wanna kill someone when he finds out and tbh you should let him but thats just me
in the past, people have abandoned him due to his personality, and though it hurt in the moment, he got over it pretty quickly
and tbh, most of the time he had a little squad of jerks following him around so he didn’t really care abt anyone else.
Staring at the text she’d just recieved, Y/N let out a shaky breath, trying to compose herself. Her so called best friend wasn’t coming, and would never be coming again. Apparently she had better things to do than hangout with some wannabe hero. Blinking away the tears, Y/N stood making her way to the exit of the shop, she stepped outside.
She was beginning to regret ever leaving the UA campus, because at this point she’d much rather be crying in bed rather than in public. Y/N was suddenly grateful that the café was relatively close as she speedily walked down the sidewalk.
The one person she thought would be there for her through everything, through all the pain and joy and anything in between, was gone. Great.
At least it couldn’t get worse than this, she decided as she saw the UA Campus in the distance, relief flooding her as her pace quickened.
Then she saw lightning in the distance, thunder rattling in the sky, Y/N couldn’t help but wince. As water began to poor over her she paused her steps, exhaling deeply as she looked up at the sky.
Then the tears began to fall, a hand coming to her mouth to quiet the sobs escaping her as she fell to the ground, seating herself at the side of the road, Y/N felt her body shake as she tried to force herself to even out her breathing.
Meanwhile, Katsuki was cursing out the skies, he’ been on his way back from visiting his parents when it began to pour. Immediately bringing his jacket over his body to try and shield himself from the brunt of the rain as he ran through the now empty streets. Save for one shaking person on the side of the road, causing him to raise a brow at, it was pouring rain and they were just sitting there?
He slowed temporarily to try and get a better understanding of what was going on, only to realize he recognized the person. Y/N. His classmate, the one he begrudgingly tutored on the weekend, the one he cursed out when she forgot to eat, the one who kept him up until 2AM even though his bedtime was normally 9PM.
Katsuki grimaced, coming up behind her with his jacket overhead to try and shield her from the rain as he spoke, “what the hell are you doing out right now? You’re gonna get sick.”
Y/N jumped at the sudden voice behind her, though she knew it was Katsuki, she turned to see he was holding his jacket over the two of them, the red of her eyes a dead giveaway that she’d been crying. She couldn’t bring herself to speak as she looked up at him in shock. What was he doing here?
Katsuki’s face fell as his eyes scanned her for injuries, “who did this to you?” He wasn’t the best when it came to comfort, and he feared that would show as he began to interrogate her.
Blinking Y/N realized what she must’ve looked like, trying to shake off the feelings she was experiencing she spoke, “we should go.” Wiping the water from her face, she moved to stand, and Katuski moved with her, his eyes still on her face.
“Hold this side of the jacket.” He ordered, and she did as she was told, bringing one hand up to the left side of the jacket, which was now soaked in water and doing little to help. This action provided Katsuki with a freehand to put on the small of her back and push her forward rather aggressively. He lead them to a small grocery store on the street, pushing the door open.
They were dripping wet, and looking up at Katsuki, who had returned to interrogating her, Y/N couldn’t help it when more tears leaked out of her eyes and she lunged forwards to tackle him in a hug.
He quickly shut up, body stiffening momentarily before he allowed his hands to wrap around her waist and return the hug. “Thank you,” she mumbled, burying her head in his chest.
Brows furrowed, Katsuki scoffed, “yeah, yeah. Whatever.” He turned to the view the rest of the store, “pick out some food, I’ll cook you something when we get back.”
Looking up at him, her mouth gaped open, “are you serious?”
“Did I stutter, you idiot?”
kirishima ejirou
okay so
kirishima definitely is gonna hound you with questions when he finds you crying
like he cannot allow his bb to cry
not that you know you are his bb but like
it would be unmanly of him to just leave you in such a state so he does his best to comfort you.
has likely never experienced something like this so he can’t really empathize with you but he’ll try
basically tries to make you smile and laugh the entire time you are upset
contemplates talking to the girls for help, but he doesn’t know if you want others involved
instead texts them how girls like to be treated when sad but in a very vague way and tries to pass it off as some obscure tik tok trend
they go along with it, thankfully, mina has a major obsesssion though so shes upset she didn’t know about this trend
thats how kirishima accidentally started a tik tok trend
will respectfully commit a murder
respectfully
i’ll help
least likely to acc go through with murder tho
he’s going to try his best
also goes the food route, based off his studies via the “tik tok trend” and he will gladly hold you
Exiting the convenience store with a plastic bag of candy in hand, Kirishima sighed. He’d been out longer than anticipated, and it was already getting dark. The grey clouds above signaling the possibility of rain, Kirishima grimaced, he needed to get back to UA quickly.
He’d intended to have a movie night with the rest of the Bakusquad that night, and maybe even invite Y/N. He’d been trying to work up the courage to finally ask her out, but it hadn’t been going well. He didn’t feel very manly each time he chickened out, and Kaminari’s teasing didn’t help at all, escaping him was the main reason Kirishima agreed to pick up the candy that day.
Sighing, Kirishima continued to walk, though the rain came faster, pouring down onto him as he groaned in annoyance, hoping that it wouldn’t damage his snacks as he pulled his jacket off to provide himself with some cover. Though it wasn’t very helpful, it was better than nothing.
He begins to speed up, jogging slightly when he notices someone on the curb, seated. Kirishima frowns, moving behind them and bringing his jacket over them, “hey, what are you doing?” Considering how much it was raining now, and the sound of the thunder overhead, he figured the storm that was coming would only get worse. Being outside was the worst idea. And as a hero in training, he simply couldn’t allow this action.
The mysterious person turns around, and Kirishima suddenly realizes its his classmate, his frown only deepening when he sees her swollen eyes. “Kirishima? She says, confusion clear in her tone as she looks up at him, eyes wide. They knew each other fairly well, though he could be shy at times, he was fun, and nice. And of course, rather respectful during all their interactions, she liked him.
Kirishima pauses before finding himself sitting beside her in the pouring rain and allowing the water to hit him as he lowered his jacket, pulling a candy bar from his bag. “What’s wrong?” He asked, extending the candy to her. Though it would likely react poorly should she open it and the candy came in contact with the rain, it was the thought that counted.
Y/N’s mouth gaped open as she smiled sadly at him, taking the candy bar from him, “thank you.” She whispered, “it doesn’t really matter anymore, though.” She looks up at the sky, water cascading down her face as she inahles deeply.
Suddenly, Kirishima’s hand is in hers, “it’s bothering you, so obviously it matters.” He tugs her hand to get her to stand up alongside him, “and it wouldn’t be very manly of me to leave a pretty lady out in the rain.”
A laugh escaped Y/N at this, “and I could never force a handsome man like yourself to stay out in rain.” Comes her reply, “let’s go.”
She wasn’t alone. Not while she had him.
shinsou hitoshi
WELL
definitely the best at comforting someone especially with something like this
feeds you sweets because food makes everything better, will be affectionate just for this instance because he knows you just want some love during this time
the best to talk to about it tbh, he’s very good at giving advice and listening to your problems
i feel like shinsou has probably experienced something similar in the past and he’s gonna understand what you are feeling
won’t try to make you open up but you’ll want to, he has a comforting presence
very calm about it, gently speaks with you and guides your actions, makes sure you take care of yourself if you are in a really bad place
once you’ve stopped crying he’ll ask you what happened and should you tell him he’ll honestly be VERY mad
like why would someone do that to an ANGEL like YOU???
is genuinely confused and potentially in a murderous mood
and he has the quirk to get away with it
wants to go off on this person though, desperately, and should he ever run into them they are going to get a piece of his mind
a really really mean piece of his mind
Shinsou frowned as he felt a droplet of water fall onto his head, realizing that rain would likely come soon, he picked up the pace of his walk. He’d been out at the bookstore, and was suddenly grateful that he hadn’t bought anything as he watched everyone in the shopping center begin to retreat to their cars and into shops.
He watched a lightning flashed in the distance, brows furrowing at the realization that a storm was coming when thunder accompanied the sight and pouring rain soon followed. UA wasn’t far, but he didn’t really want to have to run in the rain up the hill the school had been built upon.
Turning a corner, his eyes scanned the area in search of a shop he could wait out the storm in when they fell on the figure of someone seated in the rain, no umbrella or hood to protect them from the downfall, and their body shaking.
Then he recognized the hoodie. It was his actually, and he knew exactly who he’d lent it to.
Y/N L/N. The pretty girl in the hero course who’d threatened anyone who spoke poorly of him, defending his honor even though he never asked. She was always kind to him, even when they weren’t the closest of friends. Though that had changed, the pair now talking almost daily about a variety of things, something Shinsou was grateful for.
Questions flood his mind as he removes his jacket and brings it above him, going over to her, and when he’s close enough he can hear her small sobs, barely muffled by the palm of her hand. Shinsou can’t help but feel concerned as he brings his jacket above her to shield her from the rain, “hey, let’s go.” He mumbles gently.
Y/N looks up at him, her eyes red and puffy, and if it weren’t pouring Shinsou would’ve hugged her right there. “What are you doing?” When she’d simply collapsed in the rain, her emotions overwhelming her, she hadn’t assumed Shinsou would randomly appear.
“Getting you out of the rain.” Came his response, “come on, we can wait out the storm in the café.” Shinsou would’ve extended a hand had he not be preoccupied by holding up his jacket, which was now soaking through.
Sniffing, she nodded, “yeah, you’re right.” She stands, and he follows her movements, jacket never leaving her figure as the pair makes their way to the door of the café. Y/N pushes the door open, and they both enter, allowing him to finally put the jacket above his head down, though it started soaking onto the floor.
He threw it outside, much to Y/N’s shock, “I don’t wanna dirty the floor.” Shinsou explained nonchalantly, his purple hair sticking to his forehead. “Have you eaten?”
“Sorry about your hoodie.” She mumbled, at they moved out of the way of the entrance.
Raising a brow, he extended a hand, “that didn’t answer my question.”
Y/N’s brows furrowed as she looked to his hand, tilting her head in confusion as she placed her hand into his, Shinsou gave her a small smile before leading her to the line of the café as she replied, “no. I didn’t.”
His brows draw together as she looks at her, she seems resigned, quieter than normal. “How about a muffin then? Or maybe a cupcake?” He peers into the display window, squinting at the variety of foods. “I say cupcakes,” In his experience, sugary foods always made things better, to an extent at least.
Giving him a tight lipped smile, she nodded, “sure.” He was trying. It was better than nothing if she was honest. Considering the fact that her best friend had abandoned her today, it was a nice reminder, that she wasn’t alone. She had other people, regardless of what had happened.
Shinsou’s eyes met hers as he sighed, bringing his free hand to the back of his neck, “you wanna talk about it?” He knew they’d have to address it at some point, there was no denying that she had clearly been crying, something had upset her.
Shaking her head, Y/N pulled him closer using their joined hands and brought him into a hug, “not right now.” It was an oddly intimate moment, despite the fact that they were in public.
Regardless, he pulls her tightly against him, wrapping his arms around her protectively as he responds, “alright.
A/N: if anyone ever needs to talk or anything pls know im here! my dms are always open to anyone for anything :D
anyways, remember to sleep well, eat food, and drink water!

Glass Slipper Malfunctions
"(Y/n), if you swirl that cup any faster, there'll be no punch left." Toga flicked my forehead. We were on the second floor of Dabi's house. His father was out of town, and he decided to go all out for Halloween. Smoke machines led lights, streamers, and even some graffiti over the fireplace, no corner was lacking a spooky decoration.
"I'm sorry, I just wish Shinso hadn't bailed", I admitted, downing what was left in the solo cup. Music was blaring all across the house, but I could tell she heard me when her smile faltered.
"You don't need him (Y/n), he's holding you back from having fun. He's always so serious and grumpy." Her costume was a bloody nurse, with rips in tears in all the right places. Leaning into me, she used her stethoscope to listen to my chest, tapping the instrument to the rhythm. "Yup, your heart's working just fine. Don't look so upset, come on, let's dance."
"Toga, don't pull so hard." I dragged my heels behind her, barely keeping up with her pace. Knocking people out of our way, she took the stairs two at a time.
We had been dancing for the last two hours, and I was already low on stamina and bloated from the punch. While running, I tossed my cup into the overflowing trash, missing it by a good few feet. As if my luck could get any worse, the liquid soaked into the floor. Dabi was okay ruining his family home, but I wasn't.
"If you don't smile, I'm going to do something drastic." Toga spun me around and dipped me as the music dropped. Alcohol, sweat, and a faint hint of blood filled the air, making my stomach begin to churn even more.
"I feel kind of woozy," I clutched to her shoulder, but she continued to swirl around the room and rock us back and forth.
"Everybody, gather round! Midnight is almost upon! I'm glad you-" Dabi got everyone's attention, drawing in a crowd around him.
"Come on, you're not being very fun." Toga ignored Dabi, and we moved to the back of the crowd. Still moving to the music, she let me go mild spin. I fell back, my heel snapped as I tried to catch myself. My dress caught on my other shot, ripping the strap holding it up. Landing on my ass, I pushed the hair from my face. My ribbon was lost in the crowd. In a moment of realization, I covered my chest, trying to get to my feet. With my dress pulled back up, no one had seen my trip; I just needed to get fixed back up.
"Toga, I-"She was gone. Clutching my thin paper costume between my hands, I kicked off my shoes, darting through the crowd to the bathroom. I had never been so thankful for a speech, fog machine, and laser lights in my entire life.
Making it to the bathroom, I locked the door and looked in the mirror. My makeup had slid out of place, my hair was a tangled mess from the bun I initially had it in. The 'glass', slippers were now scuffed, and one heel was missing. My dress straps had broke beyond repair, and I was in desperate need of a backup costume.
Sitting on the toilet, I pulled out my phone, zoning in on my lock screen. It was Shinso holding up his kitten. I could see his head just poking into the frame. His dazzling smile causing one to spread on my own face. I don't know how I got to be in this bathroom to start with.
Everything had been planned down to a T. Shinso, and I would dress as Cinderella and Lucifer for the party. We'd get in the horse-drawn carriage I rented, at eight, and then arrive at the party by eight-thirty. Shinso would find a nice corner to sit and read, while I danced the night away looking for my Princess Charming. Toga and I would drink it up and bask in the full moon. At the end of the party, Shinso would be our D.D and take us home in Toga's car. It was simple enough. Thinking back, I didn't really take into consideration how Shinso felt about it. Well, I kind of knew how he would felt about being Lucifer instead of Prince Charming, but I thought he'd be okay with it. Then there was the other issue...
It wasn't a secrete he didn't like my new friend Toga. He tried to keep that opinion to himself, but it all spilled out last week. I knew changing our Halloween ritual from watching movies to a party with strangers would upset him. I just thought he'd go along with it for me. Or maybe I hoped he'd go along with it. I wanted to respect his boundaries, but he and Toga were so jealous of each other that it was hard to see either of them.
If there was one thing that clear now, Toga was willing to leave me for the wolfs. Pulling up Shinso's contact, I knew I was going to need to grovel a little. He was already waiting to be my D.D, but I needed a little something else now.
Y/n: Heyyyy, I need some help.
Fuzz Ball: Are you okay? I'm on my way
Y/n: I'm fine. My costume broke and I'm stuck in the bathroom.
Fuzz Ball: Can't Toga help you?
Y/n: She sort of, ran off and I'm… I don't know. I'm confused, I can't go back out there like this and I feel really guilty about ditching you.
Fuzz Ball: You are allowed to hang with your other friends without feeling guilty,
Y/n: I know, but I hate that you two don't like each other. I shouldn't have invited you and upset you.
Fuzz Ball: I'm not upset, I was sad. But I agree to be D.D, I shouldn't have back out last minute.
Fuzz Ball: I'll be there, I have a plan.
Y/n: What did I do to deserve you?
Fuzz Ball: You offered to do my history assignment in exchange for me doing your math.
Y/n: Right, seems like a fair trade. Also, don't you dare text and drive.
Fuzz Ball: I'm using the text to speech feature, I'm almost there.
Y/n: Someone's knocking on the door, ahhh. I'm on the first floor and to the right. There's a little hallway, and that's where the bathroom is.
Sinking back onto the commode, I relaxed my shoulders. Shinso was on his way to rescue me. I guess between my two friends, Shinso was the loyal one. Toga did seem flighty, but tonight was ridiculous. She had to see me fall and just walk away...that was an issue for another time.
At least I got all the dancing and drinking done that I wanted too. It was time to go home and convince Shinso to put on some scary movies and call it even.
There was a steady knock on the door, a familiar pattern that Shinso always used when sneaking to my window late a night. I flung the door open, and he dove into the room, carrying an orange trash bag filled with something. His black cat ears were perched on his head, a long fluffy tail wrapped around his waist. So much for us matching now.
"I love you, man," I hugged him tight, unsteady on my feet. He steadied me, and returned my bear hug.
"Thank me later, let's get out of here. There's so much weed in the air, I won't be able to pass a breathalyzer if we don't haul ass." He handed me the bag and pulled flip flops from his back pocket.
"You're telling me. I sobered up after tripping, but it's been a wild night., Anyway, I'm really eternally grateful- Shinso, why are there leaves in this trash bag?"
"It is a costume party, right? I thought you'd want to blend in." He wiggled his brow, the obscene cat makeup adding to his smug idea.
"I take back what I said about loving you." Laughing, I ripped two holes in the bottom of the bag and stepped in. Getting it to my neck, Shinso tied it, and I poked my arms out, the leaves itching my skin. "It works.
"You look cute." He smoothed my hair before opening the door. A line had formed, and we received death glares from the party-goers that were making some assumptions. "Let's get out of here."
"Well, I guess the carriage does turn back into a pumpkin at the end of the night, it's fitting." I sighed; the party was still in full swing. Shinso didn't let go of my hand as he parted the sea of people. My legs crunching the leaves as we walked. No doubt, I was leaving a leaf sprinkle trail in my wake.
"Is that a costume change I see?" Toga caught the other end of my hand. Her friend Twice was right behind her, carrying their drinks.
"I'm glad I ran into you. I'm headed home early. Can you find a D.D?" I asked her, the music-making my ears throb. Through the changing lights, I saw her grip her chin before smiling.
"I can just crash here. And be careful with Mr. Grumpy pants." She leaned around me to lock eyes with Shinso. "Aww, is the kitty cat upset?" She clawed at the air before turning tail to move along.
"She took it better than I thought." He sighed, finally reaching the door.
The cold air wrapped around my legs, sending a chill up my spine. The moon illuminated the street, and all the children had returned home to get a sugar high before bed. If music wasn't spilling out of the house, like a heartbeat in my ears. Shinso's car was in the middle of the street, emergency lights flashing, and the door still agape.
"You really rushed in like my knight in shining armor." Getting in the passenger side, I hugged my bag close as Shinso shut the door. He walked around the front and got in, turning off the emergency lights.
"Why can't I be your Prince Charming?" He took off down the road to my rental house. I hadn't been living on my own for long, but he already knew the road by heart. Even I still had to use my GPS. "Cat got your tongue?"
"No, yet." I giggled, focusing on his lips. Swallowing hard, tension began to build between us. We both an impeccable communication skills, but there was something neither one of us was willing to outright say.
"Is someone being a bad pumpkin tonight?" He shook the bag, and I smacked his hand away. His smile was enough to make my heart race.
"Yea, I guess I am a bad pumpkin." I leaned into my knees, trusting Shinso not to break so fast I bump my head.
"You can cry if you need too. Teasing you is one of my favorite past times, but I know you're upset."
"I know you like me." I pushed my hair back. "And the reason I didn't let you dress as Prince Charming is… I don't know. When I was at that party, I just kept thinking about us watching horror movies and eating way too much caramel popcorn. How we'd fall asleep next to year other and wake up for a mid-afternoon bike ride through the town before everyone takes down their decorations. And we can still do one half of that tradition if I avoid a hanger over."
"You didn't want me to be your prince charming because we have basically been dating the past two years, without ever getting into the physical side?" He pulled onto a back road and stopped at a spot that had the perfect view of the moon.
"I knew what you were hinting at when you asked to be Prince Charming. But I was afraid I didn't understand your hint, and then I was afraid someone would ask if we were dating and if you said no… I'd be sad. And it was a mess." I fiddled with the drawstring on the bag, not looking at him.
"I'll just say it. I like you, I like spending time with you. We've been friends for half of our lives, but I know we've had something special going on for a while now. I was afraid to ruin what we had, but I can't play it safe anymore. (Y/n) please look at me." I raised my eyes, his hand cupping my chin. "There's a few more hours left before the sun comes up. How about we go home, watch some movies and make out?" My skin heated up, blood rushing to my brain to keep it in operation.
"Bold of you to assume I don't want a kiss right now." I shifted to face him, a leaf ticking my side.
"I'm sorry, your majesty." He leaned forward, our lips latching onto each other like magnets. A wolf hollowed in the distance, and a cloud pasted at just the right time to illuminate the car. I took fistfuls of his black shirt and held him close. It was slow at first, but it heated up as I inched over the car console. We separated for breath, and I settled into my seat.
"Don't be sorry." I giggled, sitting back in my seat and wiping the black lipstick from my mouth. "Why'd we wait so long?"
"I don't know. But I regret it." He reversed from our spot on the hill and got back on the main road. "Let's get home and makeup time."
"So in the end, the winning combination is a broken plastic shoe, Lucifer, and a magic pumpkin. You know, Prince Charming and Cinderella are so mainstream. This was the better outcome, anyway." I kicked my swollen feet on his dash. "But I could get used to 'Your Majesty"; it has a nice ring to it." I tickled under Hitoshi's chin, his stubble pricking my fingers.
"Out of everything I just said, that's what you're holding on to?" He pulled into my house.
"Yup." I popped the p, and got out. "Race to the couch, let's start with Coraline."
"As you wish." He shook his head, chasing after me anyway. It wasn't what I planned for, but I was happy. I guess having my costume break was the best possible outcome for the night. We curled up on the couch, and a sense of peace washed over me. Nothing had ever felt so right.

hey yo i love your stuff so much, i really liked your sarah and jack stuff, so i was wondering if you could do a modern one?? super angsty lol i'm in a mood
Thank You for the request, I’m so happy you like my writing! This isn’t as angsty as I would like, but I wanted to get you a response ASAP! Hope you enjoy!
Jack Kelly hadn't slept in two days. He didn't mean to, it just sort of happened. The first night he'd stayed up watching Disney movies with his girlfriend Sarah. The second night, well, he'd just been too stressed to sleep. Sarah had left his house slightly annoyed with him after he accidentally spilled a cup of coffee on her sweater. It was the pink one with Ms. Piggy on it, her favorite. And she didn't leave because of the dark brown stain, she was already getting ready to leave anyway, she had to go home and get her uniform for work in a few hours. She didn't actually seem that upset over it anyway. Or maybe she did? No, if she was she would have told him. Sarah was always so good at communicating. But maybe he made her really, REALLY mad, and she was too considerate to go off on him. But she could probably get the stain out anyway why would she be that mad? Either way, Jack Kelly had been overthinking the situation for the past 24 hours because of the exchange they'd had while she was leaving.
"Call me when you're off work, maybe I can get you pizza or something to make up for the sweater?" Jack had said, holding open the door for her.
"Yeah, sure. Whatever," Sarah had sighed as she stepped out the door.
But she had never called. And when Jack called her two hours after the latest she'd ever worked, she didn't pick up. And when she didn't respond for three more hours, Jack had called again, apologizing profusely. No response. He had texted a few times. Nothing. At about two am, Jack had tossed his phone behind the couch and given up, turning on the news and picking up his sketch pad. It was about 6 am, and a detailed portrait of Sarah giggling adorably in her Ms. Piggy sweater had found its way onto his page. He'd drawn it from memory, the image of her leaning against him with that cute smile on her face as Olaf sang about getting gorgeously tan in summer. He smiled at it, even in smudged granite, she was so pretty. And so mad at him, he thought, his eyes falling to Ms. Piggy's face on her sweater. God, how could he be so stupid? He let his forehead fall forward, resting against the paper with a sigh.
"JACK! JACK OPEN THE DOOR!" Jack woke up to a pounding at his door three hours later. He shot up. Sarah?
"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JACK GET OFF YOUR MOODY BULLSHIT AND OPEN UP!" Nope, Katherine. He scrambled towards the door, wondering what the cause was of such alarm. He pulled it open to see Katherine and Elmer staring at him with frantic looks.
"Why the FUCK haven't you responded to any of our messages?'" Katherine stuck her face in his.
"We've been trying to reach you for hours!" Elmer shook his phone in the air.
"I haven't been on my phone-"
"Ohhhh, he hasn't been on his phooooone." Katherine rolled his eyes.
"Kath, shut up," Elmer said and turned back to Jack. "C'mon, bro, we gotta go."
"Go? Go where?" Jack had dashed back into his living room to retrieve his phone.
"The hospital! Let's go." Katherine waved him back towards them. Jack froze.
"The hospital? W-why would we go there?" Katherine and Elmer looked at each other before turning back to him with a softer look. He felt his stomach drop.
"Jack," Elmer said. "Sarah was in a car accident last night."
"Oh my god, oh my god." Jack was aggressively swiping through his missed messages, tears brimming in his eyes.
"Jack it's going to be okay, the lady from the hospital said-"
"I don't CARE what the lady from the hospital said," Jack interrupted Katherine as they sped towards the hospital in her car. "My girlfriend was in a CAR ACCIDENT and I couldn't even be bothered to pick up my phone! Oh my god."
"Jack, it's alright, she's going to be okay." Elmer turned around in the passenger seat to try and calm him down.
"And why haven't you two been to see her?" Jack lashed out, upset at everything and everyone.
"We were on a road trip to Scarsdale visiting Katherine's Aunt when we got the call, four hours away. They said you were listed as her emergency contact but they couldn't reach you." Elmer's response only upset Jack even more, and he clenched his head in his hands as hot tears fell down his face.
"Jack, it's okay," Katherine looked at him in the review mirror as she turned the steering wheel. "We're here." Jack shot out of the car before Katherine could pull into a parking spot, almost getting hit by a gray sedan in the process. The car honked loudly, but he kept running, speeding through the revolving doors and up to the front desk as fast as his legs could take him. He didn't slow down fast enough, slamming into the front edge of the desk.
"I need the room of a...Sarah Jacobs," Jack said, holding his stomach as he tried to catch his breath. A middle-aged man with a black beard and thick-framed glasses looked up at him and then down at his computer.
"Uhhh, Yes, Ms. Jacob's in room 47, right down that way," The man pointed to his left. "May I ask who is visiting?"
"Jack Kelly," Jack said, pushing off the desk in the direction the man had pointed.
"Wait, you'll need this!" Jack turned around as the man tossed him a laminated visitor's pass on a bright yellow lanyard.
"Thanks," Jack pulled it over his neck as he sprinted back down the hall, narrowly avoiding nurses pushing carts and other visitors. "Forty-four, forty-five, forty-six, forty-" Jack stumbled backward in shock as he reached his girlfriend's room, tears brimming again in his eyes. Hanging on the door handle on a hangar with a plastic cover over it was the Ms. Piggy sweatshirt. And covering the coffee was a dark red bloodstain.
Right when Jack thought he would pass out, the door swung open as a nurse exited the room, laughing to someone over her shoulder. She turned her head and smiled warmly when she saw him.
"Oh! Are you Mr. Kelly?"
"Jack!" From behind her, a voice called Jack back down to earth. Jack darted past the nurse and into the room.
Sarah lay propped up in a bed against bright white pillows and bright white sheets. Her right leg was in a cast and a black brace gripped her hand. Her hospital gown drooped slightly off her shoulder to show a strip of gauze in the center of her chest.
"Jack! Jack, where were you? I was so w-" Jack walked right up to her bedside and delicately but passionately kissed her, cutting her off.
"I'm so sorry," He said softly, rubbing a cut he had noticed on her lip. "Are you alright?"
"Ah, yes, mmhmm," Sarah blinked. "Yeah, I'm fine. But what the hell happened to you? The nurse said you hadn't answered any calls. "
"Well, I-" Jack looked at his feet. He was embarrassed. And Sarah could tell.
"What?" She squinted at him with a smirk.
"I just, ah," He squeezed his eyes shut and bit his lip. "You didn't call me or respond to any of my messages, so I figured you were still mad."
"Mad? What would I be mad about?" Sarah tried to remember the day before, and suddenly she raised her eyebrows at me. "No, Jack. I know you didn't..."
"I don't know, it was your favorite-"
"Oh for fucks sake, Jack."
"It was a really big stain!"
"Do you hear yourself?" Sarah laughed exasperatedly. "You are trying to justify to me why I would be mad at you for something as stupid as spilling coffee on my sweater." Jack scrunched up his nose.
"Well, when you put it like that...."
"It's quite dumb, correct." She crossed her arms and huffed dramatically. They stared at each other for a minute before bursting out in loud, silly laughter.
"Can I get you a new sweater?" Jack chuckled as he pulled Sarah into his chest, who giggled as she nodded. And there, at that moment, she looked exactly how he had pictured her in her sweater watching Frozen. Exactly as he had drawn her. "And until Amazon delivers that sweater," Jack pulled back and reached into his pocket, pulling out a piece of paper, "I hope this can make up for it." He handed Sarah the sketch and she marveled at it, the intense detail, shading, and, of course, how realistic of a Ms. Piggy he had a drawn. She looked back at him.
"Only if you at least attempt to stop overthinking everything." Jack grinned at her.
"Deal," He said, leaning down and pressing a loving kiss onto her lips.

Intro Prologue Season One 1 2

0 | Prologue
* - * - * - * - *
The first thing Y/N Hopper registered when she finally came to was that she was in a world of pain. It was as if her whole body was on fire, every inch of her burning at an agonizingly slow pace that only made it more painful as the seconds ticked by.
The next thing she noticed was that her muscles felt as if they were ten times heavier than usual making each movement slower than she would have liked. Even her eyelids felt heavy to the point where she could barely open them, only being able to get a sliver of light in before her head suddenly burst into agonizing pain while her eyelids screamed to be shut.
Y/N let out a low groan that vibrated against the rawness of her dry throat, instantly halting her in the middle of her actions. She tried to move her head slightly only resulting in her head rolling over limply until it slumped to one side.
But then it was like her senses all came back at once, hitting her in the face so hard that she couldn't stop herself from letting another groan escape her lips. She could hear the low rumbling of a car engine, feel the roughness of the worn out material that made up the backseat of her father's 1976 station wagon, and smell — that's when it hit her.
A strong smell of metallic with a very vague scent of gasoline lingering within. But the metallic, it was definitely there.
Y/N somehow managed to get her eyes to start slowly blinking open, each blink making her head hurt and her vision spin all around her. The first thing she did was glance down at her hands, a small whimper escaping her lips at the red that painted her fingers, staining the skin below.
Then she was looking up, her eyes fixating on the sight before her. Her parents who were limply leaning forward in their seats unconscious. She couldn't see her mother because of the fact that she was sitting in front of her, but the pool of blood that had begun to drop onto the middle console from that direction told Y/N all she needed to know.
She wanted to cry, but her eyes were already flickering over to her father who had a huge gash in his head from where the broken glass of the window shield had cut him. The air bag laid deflated in front of him and it was only then that she noticed the way her father's neck seemed to be hanging at an odd angle.
"Mom? Dad?" Y/N whispered, wanting nothing more than for them to answer her cries. But there was no response and that was enough to make the young girl's lip quiver as tears began to blind her vision.
The last thing Y/N wanted to do was look to her left, but she found herself doing it anyways and it was like her blood had run cold. She didn't know what she had been expecting when she turned to look in the spot where her brother had been sitting in minutes prior, but seeing the empty blood covered seat with the door of the car swaying gently in the wind was nothing that she could've dreamed of.
"Thomas?" Y/N whispered, her voice coming out so soft that it was almost brushed away by the wind. She was finally starting to snap out of the dizziness and weariness that had been clouding her vision and her voice came out louder this time, more panicked, as she cried out, "Thomas!"
The tears were falling by now and Y/N let out a small sob as she weakly fell back against her seat, her body hurting too much to put any more effort into moving. She tried to remember the events that had led up to that very moment, but it all was coming back in fragments that made her want to think it wasn't real.
The last clear memory she had was of them leaving her Uncle Jim's house. They had been on their way back from a family vacation on the outskirts of Indiana and had decided to stop by and visit her father's brother on their way home to Kentucky. Uncle Jim had never really known how to act around kids, so the whole reunion had been awkward and had felt like it lasted forever on both sides. The last thing she could picture was getting into the car while her Uncle Jim gave them a short wave in goodbye before disappearing back into his house.
From there, everything came back in fragments. The family driving through Hawkins, the town her Uncle Jim lives in. Her bickering with her twin about which of the Star Wars movies was better although she couldn't remember who had won. The family laughing about something before their laughs had fallen short.
Y/N looking out at the road ahead, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion at the sight of a dark figure standing in the middle of the road. Then after that, all she could hear was the crashing of the car as glass flew all around her. Then she heard the screams of her family, her mother's falling quiet real quick as a shard of glass broke off from the window and hit her in the throat. Y/N's own screams as she had attempted to reach out for her twin, Thomas looking back at her with wide eyes full of fright before the car finally stopped rolling and hit the ground, everything going black.
However, none of that explained what had happened to Thomas and Y/N began to cry as she looked to her brother's seat which had bloody handprints on it as if he had been struggling to stay in the car but something had pulled him out.
By the time the police arrived on the scene, Y/N was in complete shock, her body shaking so violently that if anyone didn't realize she was in shock they would've thought she were having a seizure. Jim Hopper was the one that managed to get to his niece first. His eyes vaguely scanning over the front row of the car before stopping on Y/N who was breathing frantically as she gasped for air.
Hopper was quick to grab onto Y/N’s shoulders, lightly shaking the girl as he tried to get her attention so he could help her. He ignored the amount of sweat that was making his hands stick to her wet shirt that was not only covered in sweat, but a mixture of her own blood from her wounds as well.
"Y/N. Hey, kid. Look at me. Look at me," Hopper pleaded, his eyes frantically flickering over the girl's face as he watched her stare into oblivion. When the girl didn't answer, Hopper carefully grabbed onto the girl’s face and turned her head so that her e/c eyes were forced to latch onto the man in front of her.
Upon recognizing just who was holding onto her, Y/N let out a whimper and whispered, "Uncle Jim?"
"It's me, kid. I'm here. You're okay now," he assured her as he tried his best to soothe the upset girl before he would have to hand her over to the medics.
"Mom. Dad," Y/N said, not able to get anything else out other than those two words. Hopper gave the girl a grim look that made her close her eyes as a few tears rolled down. She then blinked them open before her e/c eyes locked onto her uncle. "Thomas," she whispered. "Where's Thomas? Where's my brother?"
Before Hopper could so much as blink, the girl's eyes suddenly rolled into the back of her head and she passed out. Hopper's eyes widened and he gently shook the girl before yelling out, "We need a medic! Help! Medic!"
He looked down at Y/N and gently shook her as he muttered, "Come on, kid. Stay with me. Wake up." Then, frustrated that no one had come running over yet, the officer yelled out, "We need a goddamn medic!" Two men then came running over to the car with a stretcher and Hopper got out of the way while the two men got to work on getting the girl out of the car.
While this went on, Hopper quickly went over to the other side of the car, his heart racing as he came face to face with the empty seat where his nephew was supposed to be. He spun around for a moment, his eyes scanning around for any sight of Thomas who might've managed to crawl away from the car in an attempt to find help. But when he came up empty handed, Hopper didn't hesitate to pick up his walkie talkie and radio back to the station.
"This is Chief Hopper. We've got a 10-57. I repeat a 10-57. The person is a young boy around the age of seventeen. Short brown hair, green eyes, and was last seen wearing a white shirt and a red bomber jacket. Answers to the name Thomas Hopper," Hopper said, his voice getting softer once he mentioned his nephew's name.
Even with his nephew missing and his brother and his wife dead, Hopper still found himself looking after Y/N who had been strapped to a stretcher which was now being loaded onto the ambulance. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her as he realized the gravity of the situation. Y/N was going to wake up to a completely new world.
Not only would the death of her parents be weighing upon her, but her own injuries would mean she was going to be in a lot of pain. And with her parents now gone, that meant the guardianship of both Y/N and Thomas fell to Hopper meaning that she would have to pick up what was left of her life in Kentucky and move to Hawkins to start anew.
But the news that would break her would come with when she opened her eyes to find out that her brother still hadn't been found. And that pain, the pain of knowing that her twin was hurt and missing somewhere, that would be more painful than anything else.

Ghosts chp 19
Billy x Katrina
A/N: this is a multi chapter series that will contain smut, angst, fluff, substance abuse
Billy's POV
Sirens blared as we sped down the road away from the cabin. I was tucked the side of the ambulance, out of the way of the EMTs who were trying to stop Katrina's bleeding.
She had passed out for a few minutes but her eyes were fluttering open again, just a little before squeezing shut as tears started pouring down her cheeks.
Her chest shuddered as she sobbed, "Billy?"
I leaned forward so she could see me and laced our fingers together, squeezing tight, "I'm here, Katrina, it's gunna be okay."
"I'm scared," she choked, meeting my eyes.
"Hey," I murmured, "it's okay, I'm right here, babe."
Her eyes fluttered shut for a moment before she whispered, "Baskin Robbins.."
"What?"
"Did you know...they have thirty one flavours?"
I stared at her, confused, and she choked on a wet laugh.
"I'm gunna die and I don't even know...which one's my favorite."
I smirked, shaking my head before tipping it into her hand, "no you won't. You're gunna be fine and I'll buy you more ice cream than you could ever eat, you hear me?"
I looked back up at her and noticed her eyes had closed again.
Katrina's POV
It hurts. My muscles feel like I just finished a marathon, my head is pounding. The light filtering through my eyelids is too bright, every noise too loud. Most of all, my heart hurts.
My heart aches for Olivia, losing the man she loved to gain a reaper in his place. Having her dreams of a happy life crushed in his bloody hands. She had her life poisoned and taken away by the person she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with.
My heart hurts for Neil. For having been tortured, broken and molded into a shell of himself. He had been twisted so much that he no longer had the capacity to love. The things he wanted, a loving wife and kids, instead became heavy burdens.
And most of all, my heart burns for Billy. The boy who lost every parent he's known because of Neil's trauma. The boy who blamed himself for years, who's biggest fear in life is taking up that torch from his father instead of extinguishing the flames.
It hurts and I'm so exhausted.
I could hear Billy and Steve talking, could feel my head throbbed painfully to the sound.
"Too loud," I croaked.
"Katrina?" Billy asked, "are you awake?"
I could feel his hand slide around mine, squeezing gently.
"You're so loud," I mumbled.
Steve snorted, "good morning to you too. Is it actually you now?"
I opened my eyes a little, squinting at him and held up my middle finger, making them both bark out a laugh.
"Where are we?"
"In the hospital, you were pretty hurt," Steve answered, "do you remember what happened?"
I shook my head a little, "only pieces. I remember seeing him and then being in the house, bleeding and now I'm here."
"Neil," Billy grumbled, "do you still feel him with you?"
"I don't know...I'm just tired, everything hurts."
He leaned forward to press a kiss to my forehead, "okay, it's okay. I'll go find a doctor, see if they'll let you out of here, alright?"
"Thanks," I murmured.
He walked out, leaving me with Steve, who was eyeing me carefully.
"Why didn't you tell us something was wrong? We could have brought you to the girls."
I sighed, "I didn't realize, didn't know he would do that...that he could take over like that. I didn't think he'd hurt me..."
Steve's shoulders tightened a bit, "we had to tell the doctors you were attacked. They would have put you in psyche if we didn't and we need to watch you, make sure he doesn't hurt anyone else...we're taking you to Audrey, you'll be staying there for a while."
I swallowed thickly, nodding, "okay."
--
"You're kidding," Billy growled.
Audrey crossed her arms in front of her chest, "not even a little."
"Audrey, you can't just lock her in here," he argued, gesturing at the room behind him.
The room I'd been locked in before, in the basement of their house. The sparse, cold room that I'd woken up alone in after everything went wrong.
She scoffed, "so you'd rather her wander around not in control of her own body?"
"I'm right here," I mumbled.
Audrey looked towards me, "I'm sorry, Katrina, but we don't really have a choice. We don't want you or anyone else getting hurt."
I gave her a weak smile, "it's okay."
Billy clenched his jaw, gritting his teeth together, but helped me shuffle to the bed. Helped me ease down, holding my arms tight so I didn't move too quickly and pull my stitches. He cupped my face after I was settled and placed a gentle kiss to my forehead, nose and finally my lips.
"Get some rest and heal up, okay? We still need to figure out which flavour at Baskin Robbins is your favorite," he smiled.
"What?"
He chuckled, "you don't remember? You were crying about ice cream in the ambulance."
I groaned, tipping my head backwards as my cheeks heated. He just laughed harder and kissed me again, mumbling about me being adorable.
--
I looked around, noticing little changes to the room since the last time I'd been locked in here. There were now plush fur and knitted blankets folded across the bed, a stack of books on the bedside table, even a little TV and a selection of movies. The girls had tried to make the room more comfortable, though no matter how many creature comforts you add, it still felt like being locked in a box.
The door opened and I looked over to see Riley with a tray of food in her hands.
"Dinner," she smiled, coming over to set the tray on the table beside my bed.
She held my hand and helped me slide up the bed, placing pillows behind me so I could sit up a little. The tray she placed in my lap was covered in food. Bowls of soup with steaming biscuits and glasses of iced tea, there was even a little plate of chocolate chip cookies.
"I know there's another person in my head but he doesn't need food, we share the same stomach," I joked.
She snorted, "I wanted to join you. If you want my company that is."
I smiled at her, "thanks."
We dug into our food, dunking buttery biscuits into hearty chicken soup and sipping sugary sweet iced tea until we were full.
"Did you make all that?"
Riley nodded, "I like to cook, takes my mind off things."
"If you teach me how to make those biscuits, I'll teach you how to make iced tea."
She laughed, "you didn't like it? I put a lot of effort stirring the powder into water."
I smirked, "that stuff is too sweet for me. I...my ex was from the south, she converted me."
Riley nodded, a small smile on her lips, "Steve told me about that, I'm sorry about what happened."
I bit the inside of my cheek to hold back tears, "thanks...at least I can still see her though."
"Do you still?"
I puffed out a breath, "I hope so...I haven't seen or felt anyone else since the spell, it's just been Neil."
"Right...is he, do you still...feel him?"
I shook my head, "no, maybe he's gone, maybe he's weakened...I don't know."
She laid a gentle hand over my leg, "we'll figure it out, don't worry. Everything will be fine."
--
It took two weeks for my stitches to be removed, for me to be able to move around by myself. I got to see Ally, Olivia and Elle again during those two weeks which was a blessing. But I still felt like something was off, like things were too quiet.
It took three weeks for the silence in my head to be broken by Neil's deep and buttery smooth voice.
"Hello, pet."
I jumped, looking around my room to the small mirror on the dresser where I saw his face looking back at me.
"What do you want?"
"Oh, come now, pet," he chided, "are you mad at me?"
I clenched my jaw, turning away to mumble, "you said you wouldn't hurt me."
I swore I could feel the warmth of a hand on my face, "I didn't mean to, I lost control. Being dead has...changed me."
I chewed my lip but felt a soft tug pulling it from my teeth and looked back at him, confused.
"Was that...are you able to touch me?"
His reflection faded, showing me that I was holding my own face.
"We are connected," he explained, his reflection coming back, "I want to show you something. Close your eyes."
He waited for me to obey before continuing, "good. Now, relax. Imagine yourself stepping back, letting go of your body."
I let my body relax completely, felt myself detach from my body and found myself in a different room. A dimly lit room with two dark, plush chairs sat in front of a fireplace.
"What is this?" I asked.
Our voices had a wispy echo to them. Ethereal, like we were in a different world here.
"This is my space," he explained, coming into the flickering light, "our space now. We can see each other here."
He stepped close to me, the smell of him washing over me, intoxicating. Reached a hand out to run his fingers through my hair.
"We can feel each other here," he murmured.
I gasped, flinching away from his touch and he dropped his hand with a tight smile.
"Trust me."
"I thought you were gone," I murmured, "it's been weeks."
I realized there was a part of me that wanted him to stay, that had been upset thinking he had left me. That didn't want the quiet that came without him.
He sighed, "I used too much energy when I took control of you. I needed you to heal so I could get my strength back."
"So your strength comes from me?"
"I told you, we're connected."

His Girl 》 Part 2
Promt: Billy and Max are thriving in the Henderson house, but when Billy and Y/N go to a party things get a bit intense and Y/N has a few to many drinks
Warnings: Drinking, Mentions of Past abuse, SMUT
Chapter 2: New Friendships and Summer time Bliss
Billy and Max had been staying in the Henderson House for 3 months as the abuse case got very messy, Susan unfortunately getting into some trouble for never reporting the incidents they awarded Guardian ship to her Step Brother Billy Hargrove. Of course there were still visitations but the relationship was definitely strained. But for the most part everyone's lives were finally becoming peaceful. The school years was comming to a close and the first year of highschool for the party had been a success.
Billy had gotten a job at the local mechanic shop and was absolutely flourishing. Y/N took less of the night shifts at the Gas Station and was looking into other options for work. Once Y/N the Mother Hen of the group next to Steve of course started bringing Billy around more he was accepted with open arms much to Max and Y/Ns delight. He tought the boys about cars and in turn they took him to the arcade and got him in touch with his fun side. It was like a happy family they ate pizza and watched late movies all crashing at whoever's house was the hub that night. On more than one occasion the kids snapped pictures if Billy and Y/N knocked out together on the couch they were just waiting for them to get together at this point.
The Byers returned to Hawkins for the summer, Will and El getting out of school 2 weeks earlier than the others and were staying in a cabin by the lake. Surely that would be where the party spent most of their times this summer.
Billy stood infront of his mirror in the spare room he and Max had been sharing. Though most night he snuck to Y/Ns room to sleep peacefully beside her it was like she was a sheild for his nightmares. Max of course pretended not to notice. He fiddled with his hair anxiously wearing a pair of jeans and his red button down slightly unbuttoned due to the heat. He huffs and sighs jumping when Max speaks from the door way
"You look fine. Y/Ns in the livingroom and shes getting impatient..." she smirks and walks over giving her brother a light punch "go have fun please" she said with a soft look. He hadent done much but hang out at home with her friends and work. Admittedly the thought of the party made him nervous.. Billy Hargrove nervous about a party HAH what a laugh. He smirked and ruffled the red heads hair "alright alright dont have to much fun without me kay?" She pushes him out the door "fine now go" she laughs
When Billy walked into the livingroom his breath cought in his throat. Y/N wore a sunny yellow sundress with thin straps. Her hair was curled and on the sides of her head her hair was braided into a crown with a Daisy hair pin holding it together at the back of her head. She looked so sweet and elegant. He had to shake his head "wow" he whispers
Y/N looked up "finally you take longer than I do!" She laughs grabbing his arm saying her goodbyes Dustin piping up playfully "hey Hargrove have her home by midnight" making Billy blush with a laugh. Y/N would be lying if she said she hadent put extra effort into her look painted her nails and toes a bright summery color and wore a sundress that fell mid thigh. She wore a flowery perfume and had a little makeup on, glossy plump lips and some mascara on those fluttery lashes of hers. She looked killer and she knew it. Climbing into the Camaro they drove to the party together and met up with their friends Steve patting Billy's back reassuringly "hey man just take it slow and have fun" he says as Nancy drug Y/N ofd to dance and chatter away
Billy really started to loosen up and become himself again a drink in hand he talked to a few people from highschool keeping close to Steve. They had gotten pretty close over the few months finding an interest in cars together, it had been helpful to have grown up guy talk. Then Stella whom back in his pkayboy days when he first arrived had been a fling on and off. She was a lanky blonde who wore skimpy cloths and had pretty blue eyes, a cheerleader he chatted her up awkwardly as she kept putting her hands to his chest and giggling. During a slower song she did somthing that cought him off gaurd she kisses him hard he jumped away "Uh sorry but no thanks I'm kinda with someone"
The girl giggled "oh hunny" she slurred "I know you you ain't with anyone" she giggles leaning in again and Billy's fists clenched rage in his eyes "you know NOTHING about me" he snaps she looks up as Steve pulls her away and sends her on her pouty way "hey man shes not worth the time" he pay his shoulder reassuringly. Little did anyone know across the room Y/N had seen them dancing and kissing and her heart was shattered... fine she stomped to the kitchen to hide her tears if Billy could cut loose with some bimbo.. so could she.
Chapter 3: Dunken Tantrums
Much to Nancy's dismay Y/N started to down cup and shots left and right until she lost count. She knew why but she couldn't tell anyone. Y/N was in love with Billy and some other tramp kissed him infront of her. She kept trying to corral the drunk girl as she stumbled around soon Jonathan started trying to help as well as Jonathan was like Y/Ns big brother of sorts since neither of them had fathers they were quick friends in middle school along with Nancy. Steve joined the group in highschool but he was with Billy. Soon there was a loud crash from the kitchen and Nancy yelling as men cheered. Steve looked to Billy confused then on cue Jonathan came pushing through the living room "Y/N" he panted "Drunk. Dancing, table" Steves eyes widened but Billy was already running into the room and was met with the scene.
Nancy stood arms out starched behind the table incase her friend fell Y/N danced swiveling her hips and squealing with her arms in the air. It wasnt on purpose but with here being up there the boys below got a nice view up her dress at a white Lace thong. They cheered and clapped as she danced to Pour some sugar on me by Def Leopard her drunken gaze met Billy's shocked face and she Squealed "Billy!! You're heeeerreee did ya finish up with Stelllaaaa" she slurs leaning forward with a giggle. This elects applause as her cleavage is pressed together as she bends down.
Billy looked at the dunken girl "Y/N common" he says brows furrowed together. He cringed when she mentioned Stella. She didnt actually think that did she? It hurt his feelings a little to think she saw what everyone had seen a heartless play boy. "Common Sweerheart get down" he said firmly. She swated at his hand "nnnoope they lllike me!!" She pouted at him. One guy sits himself on the table "yeah we like her Hargrove" he runs his hand up her calf and the back of her thigh giving her round ass a pinch making her squeak"
Billy is furious grabbing the man by the shirt he yanks him up and slams him into the wall "you touch her again" he grins through his teeth "I'll kill you" he snaps like a feral dog the guy snorts "what's your problem Hargrove you blew it, it's our turn" when the man said our turn like she was a duck doll Billy lost it hauling back with a scream of rage and punched him in the face, the man flailed punching back landing one to hisntight cheek but it was weak wouldn't even leave a bruise. Billy held him to the ground and punched him over and over. Y/N looked at Billy gasping "Billy!" She cried out Nancy ran over grabbing Billy's fist "ENOUGH" She yells Y/N feels dizzy her heel slips but thankfully Jonathan was right there catching the messy girl in his arms "okay alright Y/N up we go" he coos to her as she stumbles "atta girl' he pushed her hair back and held her. Steve was busy getting rid if the crowd and blocking the exit as Y/N kept trying to escape.
Billy stopped when Nancy grabbed him his eyes furious. He say Jonathan catch Y/N thankfully and he shook his fist as it was sore knuckles split he looked at Nancy who said "look I cant really explain but you need to take her home.. after you and Stella... shes just really upset okay" Billy was confused but nodded "yeah okay" he walked over grabbing Y/N by the waist when she squirmed away from Jonathan "I'm sorry guy" he mutters throwing the yelling girl over his broad shoulder. She kicks and curses and pounds on his back and he ignores her putting her in the camaro and buckling her in. He gets in with a angery sigh and starts driving.
Y/N is drunk and angery her emotions running rapid. Clenching her fists she starts to scream like a toddler pounding her fists on the seat either side of her thighs "STOP THE CAR LET ME OUT" she shrieks. "No you're drunk" he snarls at her. But hes forced to pull over as she unbuckled herself and stated opening the door. He slams the breaks pulling over on the empty road "what the hell is wrong with you?!" He yells as she gets out
Y/N is hyperventilating walking a few feet from the car she grips her hair and yells at the forest to their left "ITS NOT FAIR" she yells going from loopy to emotional. Her hands tremble and Billy gets out of the car "Y/N what the fuck isnt fair what's you're problem. The Stella thing? News flash I didnt kiss her back!" She spins around "No she cant have you!" She yells shaking he looks at her blankly "What are tou talking about?! Jesus fucking christ why are you so mad about this why do you even care?!" She couldn't breath her tears came streaming out down her cheeks "no no no she cant that was suposed to be me!" She sobs falling to her knees the truth comes pouring out of her lips she rocks forward crying slapping her hands against the warm pavement like a child "I'm your girl not her!" She cried sobs racking through her body "I'm your girl" she shakes her head repeating herself
Billy stares at her in awe his heart breaks for the woman before him throwing a tantrum on the empty rode and he regrets even talking to Stella when she cries about being his girl he wants to cry with her. Hes loved her since the night she cleaned him up thats when he knew he was in love and it scared him like hell. He knelt down infront of her pulling her close "shhh shhh shh" he says rocking her small form "I'm sorry okay I'm sorry let's go home Angle let's go home okay" he whispers into her hair his heart breaking at the fact that he made her cry like this
Picking her up bridal style as her whimpers died down Billy places her in the passengers seat carefully. He presses his lips to her forehead and then drives them home.
Chapter 4: Handle with Care
She started to calm down her breathing normal curled up in the seat. It's only 10pm but the others were no where around thank god. He helped her walk inside and took her to her room. She sat on the bed wiping her eyes as she started to sober up. Billy had left and returned with a glass of water and some Asprin having her drink the entire glass. He sat on the bed beside her silently. She fiddled with the edge of her dress as she started to relize exactly what she had done. Her heart is pounding un her chest her buzz still remains but she was clear headed. They sat quietly for over 20 minutes before Billy turned to her. He looked her in her eyes and grabbed her face. Kissing her deeply. She gasped softly as he deepens the kiss holding her face to his he nips her plump lip softly and she pushes herself forward climbing into his lap wrapping her arms around him he grips her waist tightly "god I've wanted to do this for so long" he growls "I'm so sorry Y/N" he says softly pressing kisses to her cheeks and jaw she shakes her head "I'm sorry I was being so stupid I got jealous and lost it" she says tilting her head to the side as he trails down her neck
Billy sucks loves bits down to the sweet spot where her neck and shoulder meets and bites down "you are my girl Y/N. You're my girl" he promises. She pulls his face back up to hers and kisses him deeply her hips unintentionally starting against his and he groans against her lips and their bruising kiss. She stops her movements and he growls "dont stop" he snaps out using his hands to move her against him bunching up her dress to get more friction.
The feeling over her lace covered pussy rubbing against his jean clad erection drives her crazy a whole new buzz taking over her body his hands travel from her waist to her ass gripping the soft skin she squeaks and she grips the hairs at the nape of his neck giving a soft tug electing a growl from deep in his chest she bits her lip looking at him with lust filled eyes. His own eyes hold the same look. Standing up holding her up he spins around and throws her onto her bed. She looks up at him her heart pounding as he crawls on top of her pushing the skirt of her dress up. He runs a hand down the front if her thong and kisses the top of her chest as he slides a finger through her folds slowly. Stopping to tease her clit she let's out soft little moans and he hums with a smirk "shhh can't draw any attention here love" he coos slipping a finger past her slick entrance she cries out and he places his free hand over her mouth as he fingers her slowly. 2 fingers curling into her G spot she moans under his grip and arches her back looking down at him and he smirks running his tounge over his teeth like a hungry wolf. This made her shiver just staring into those icey blue eyes. Just as she started to wither coming close tonger climax he removed his fingers making her whimper under his hand "not yet princess" he hums smirking sitting up he yanks her panties down her legs. Shes up just as fast pulling him by hisnshiet undoing his buttons. Her hands run over his tanned muscular skin fingers soft against his scars she looks up sweetly kissing each one individually. He stands shocked for a moment looking down as shes so tender with him
Her fingers worked at his belt as she kissed her way down his hops. Tugging down his pants and underwear letting his erection spring free. She hummed as she let him slip passed her lips and he grunts lacing his fingers in her hair. As she sucked him running her tounge along the underside of his cock. He felt himself twitch and he pushed her back. Drool dripping from her chin with a gasp and he crawls up her body on the bed "I need 5o be inside you" he growls she bites her lip and spreads her legs daringly "then come on in" she teases
Smirking he pulls her dress off of her aggressively and attacks her breasts with kisses and sucks. Lining himself up with her entrance she whimpers impatiently. Her heart racing as he slips inside froaning into her brests " fuck you're so tight princess" he groans into her skin and she threaded her fingers through his curls. His hopes moved slowly letting her get used to his size before he began to snap his hips faster pounding into her she had to cover her own mouth for fear of waking the house
Leaning back up he holds her thighs apart leaving fingerprint bruises in her skin. He looked down at her as she withered and moaned beneath him "mmm what a good girl" he cooed and she smiled up at him her brests bounce with each thrust and she uncovers her mouth eyes rolling back as she tightened around him and he smirks "are you going to come for me princess?" He asks growling as he picks up his speed pounding all the way deep side her "Yes!" She almost yells her toes curling her fists gripping the sheets and he barks "Cum for me" and his words have her unraveling her back arches and he reaches down pinching her swollen little clit pushing her further off that edge. He groans watching her come undone and hes close behind. Pulling out letting her legs fall he pumps himself in his fist rapidly painting her stomach and hips with his cum. He looks down at her state panting. Her brests rise and fall with her breaths. The small bruises on her thighs and the hickey on her neck surrounded by a soft bite mark. Pulling in his boxers he leaves only to come back with a wash cloths wiping her down as she can hardly move.
He grabs her a clean pair of panties and one of his tshirts and dresses her. She lifts his hips for him smiling arms above her head. Sitting up she slips his tshirt on and he climbs into the bed beside her. Pulling her under the covers he laces his fingers in her hair and kisses her head muttering "That's my girl" massaging her scalp softly. They fall asleep tangled in eachother, that was the first time Billy loved anyone in this way. And she would be his only love.
