Fuck It Friday
Tagged by @disasterbuckdiaz @wikiangela @daffi-990 @steadfastsaturnsrings ... in true Fuck It spirit this is neither on Friday or very PG. I was very inspired by my wife @disasterbuckdiaz's snippet and this kinda spilled out.

“You’re overthinking again. If you want to – and I’m pretty sure you do,” Eddie whispers, tracing his thumb along Buck’s lower lip, “I can help with that.”
Eddie’s fingers trace along Buck’s jawline until they settle on his shoulder where they fit perfectly, his thumb nestled into the divot of Buck’s collarbone. A space that may as well have been marked Property of Eddie Diaz when Buck was born.
“Y-you can?” Buck’s eyelids flutter closed, but he quickly forces them open again, not wanting to miss anything Eddie’s doing.
Eddie presses a featherlight kiss to the corner of Buck’s mouth, first one side then the other, another to his cheekbone, until finally he’s right next to Buck’s ear, his voice low and sweet like the symphony of chirping grasshoppers and glowing fireflies in summer. “You know I can, sweetheart. Because I know you, and what you need right now. How your beautiful brain is so jumbled with thoughts you don’t know which one to turn to next. How you’re wishing they would all disappear. How badly you want someone else to take control. Because you could distract yourself, but you and I both know it wouldn’t be nearly as satisfying.”
Eddie kisses the hinge of Buck’s jaw, sending a shower of sparks racing down his spine, chasing after the offer Eddie’s delivering on a silver platter. “But I need you to tell me. Do you think you can do that, baby?”
“F-fuck, Eddie. Yeah. Yes.”
“Yes?” Eddie purrs. “Yes, what? Yes, you can tell me what you need? Yes, you want me to take you apart and put you back together? Or yes, you want me to fuck you so thoroughly you don’t remember your own name?”
Jesus Christ. “All of that, Eds. God, everything. Want everything with you,” Buck babbles.
Eddie pulls him in for a devastating, earth shattering kiss that would make Buck weak in the knees if he wasn’t already. His lips part when Eddie’s tongue teases at the seam, letting their tongues slide together. But then Eddie tears himself away and Buck whines, trying to chase after him.
“Shhh, shh, shh. Just wait, it’s okay.” Eddie strokes Buck’s cheek, soothing his impatience. “Can you be a good boy for me?”
The words hit Buck with a force heavier than a tsunami wave, more intense than a bolt of lightning. He can’t help the way he immediately feels gooey and pliant, ready to obey.
“Yes, sir. S’good. Can be so good.” Buck preens at the way Eddie’s breath hitches on the word sir. He feels like he’s been infused with sunshine and starlight, so happy he’s done something to please Eddie.
“Stand still. Right here. No matter what, okay? Not a muscle unless I tell you.”
Buck nods eagerly.
“Words, darlin’.” Eddie’s drawl coats every syllable, unexpected but reassuring, and Buck wants to fucking live in it. Wants to wrap the honeyed intonation around himself like a second skin and never leave. “I need words.”
“Yes, sir. Won’t move. Promise.”
Eddie hums in delight, taking a step back, just enough to create a pocket of space. He gathers the hem of Buck’s polo and lifts, silently commanding Buck to follow. Buck does, willingly, raising his arms for Eddie to complete his task. Eddie tosses it to the side then bites the tip of his thumb, walking in a slow circle, surveying.
Buck casually wonders if this is how sculptures feel. Pieces put out in the world for public consumption. He would gladly stand here as long as Eddie wants him to, would allow Eddie to caress and carve and smooth him into an ideal shape.
The sound of Eddie’s footsteps stop somewhere behind him, replaced by fingers fidgeting with buttons that make a quiet clack when the shirt hits the floor. Then there is only a maddening, heavy silence, leaving no indication of how close Eddie might be. Buck can’t detect his breathing, but knows Eddie – his partner – is still there.
Sweet relief washes over him as Eddie wraps himself around Buck, hands sliding over his pecs and down the ridge of his abs, a blazing line of heat where Eddie’s chest presses against his back. Buck imagines, if he were to look, their bare skin would glow everywhere it touches. Two celestial beings burning bright and hot like stars in the night sky.
Silent signals traverse between them like radio waves. Communications in the form of every one of Eddie’s touches and breaths fanning across the line of his neck, the shell of his ear, the point where the two meet. It’s something Buck supposes was inevitable. Eddie knows him in every other way. It’s not impossible to believe he knows this too. That Eddie would already be attuned to the ways Buck’s body reacts, the precise frequency of how he craves Eddie. Maybe it’s more obvious than Buck suspects. An aura of overwhelm and too much and too in his head that manifests as a primal, visceral need to submit. He wouldn’t be surprised to learn it radiates off of him in shades of sage, twilight, silver and violet.
Eddie’s fingers skim outward, along the vee of Buck’s torso, over his wrists, trailing through coarse arm hair, up to the bend of Buck’s elbows. Buck wants to turn around, wants to capture Eddie’s mouth in a filthy kiss, wants to see the molten desire turning chocolate brown irises to nearly pure black. But that’s not what Eddie told him to do. Eddie had very specific instructions. And Buck is rather inclined to listen. He told Eddie he would be good for him. And he will. He wants to, more than anything.
“Mmhmm,” Eddie hums, planting kisses like tiny flowers along the line of Buck’s shoulders. As if Buck is a wild, abandoned patch of earth that Eddie believes can grow something beautiful and transformative. Because, to Buck, Eddie couldn’t do anything less. He would never be capable of making something unsightly or unpleasant, even with Buck as a starting point.

April 16 2023 Barcelona
Our friend and neigbor, Antonio, came to lunch today with his beautiful, sweet daughter, Carla, who has grown into a smart, personable young woman. Antonio is a widower and has raised Carla himself since his wife died when Carla was only eight years old. Antonio works in finance and also owns some property that he manages, when he's not being a single father to Carla.
Carla is almost as tall as her father and I predict that, before she stops growing, she'll be TALLER than he is, and Antonio is taller than the average guy. Carla could be "model material" but it's too early to tell, because she has lots of other ideas about what to do with her life.
And of course, we'll NEVER be taller, we are just fighting gravity to not lose the height we have now!
After lunch I took a walk along the beach path over to Rambla Poble Nou and then came back through the maize of streets that leads to our apartment. It was fun watching people playing volleyball and sitting on blankets in the sunshine on the beach, skate boarding at the skate park, and strolling along the path. In Poble Nou I walked through a different part of the neighborhood than I usually visit because I like to familiarize myself with the neighborhood. There are always new and interesting things to see along the way.
Vitalist is the chiropractic office where I visit my chiropractor, Francois, and I'm lucky that it's so close, located on the Rambla Poble Nou. Francois is a really good chiropractor and has helped me with many back, shoulder, knee, and hip problems.
Back on Selva de Mar, the street where we live, I could seen the sun shining on our building, which is aptly named "Illa de la Llum", which means "Island of Light" in Catalan.
What a gorgeous sunset tonight! I love watching the sun dip behind the mountains and then, especially when it's a bit cloudy, all the colors that race across the sky.

Enchanted - Fili x fem!reader - Cinderella AU
A/N: I recently seen there was Cinderella (2015) in TV, my favourite Cinderella story! (But they are all kind of smashed together, so🤷♀️)
This is mainly for lovely @guardianofrivendell , I hope you will like it!
(Also, c'mon. Kili wouldn't even come here.)
This is different style from what I am writing - this is more a fairytale-telling style, but I tried. I'm quite happy quite the result, so I hope you will like it too!
Once upon a time, there was a lovely, beautiful maiden, named Y/N. Though her life wasn't a fairy tale at first glance, sometimes things change the way it seems like one.
There wasn't a time when Y/N didn't thought about her old life, and when did it changed. But she remembered her mother's last words.
The two things that you truly need in your life, are courage and kindness. Remember that, my dear.
Life with her two step-sisters, who argued almost all the time (except for when there were trying to provoke Y/N), and the evil woman who married her kind and selfless father, was, well, interesting, to say at least. It wasn't very exciting, either - her life was constant routine of doing all the chores, and then falling asleep in her little room.
She dreamed of magic, that would make life exciting, and every night, when she looked up for the stars, she would think about a prince, who would run away with her and never come back.
Little did she knew, her life was about to go into a different direction very, very soon.
The day they got the invitations, her sisters were excstatic. One of them told Y/N to prepare them dresses, along for their mother. Y/N thought it was one of birthday partiest of their many friends, and didn't thought much of it. She spended the whole day by sewing and measuring, cutting and measuring once again.
However, when she decided to take a stroll in the evening void of darkness, soft light was coming out of the post box. She curiously stepped closer, and opened it. Her eyes widened when she noticed envelope in heavy, good quality paper. The name and adress on the letter was in beautiful calligraphy, perfect, as if it was made by...
Y/N shook her head. Don't be naive. But the tiny little spark of hope and child-like wonder in her believed it was something magical about it.
She opened the envelope, and took out an...invitation? She curiously red futher, and her eyes widened. It was an invitation for a ball!
With greatest joy, we are happy to announce that prince Fili is ready to find a wife. In occasion of Prince's birthday, there will be thrown celebration, where is invited every daughter of our beautiful kingdom, who is interested in being Prince's wife.
There was also a date and time. Y/N couldn't believe it. She got her invitation. A dreamy smile stretched across her lips, and she started to dance.
She hid her invitation in the pocket of her dress, and quickly hidded it into the back of her drawer.
When the day of the celebration came up, she realized she forgot to make her own dress. She worked on her sisters' and mother's dresses she didn't got enough time to work on her own.
They left, and she was there alone, in the big house. It used to be place full of joy, but now it was empty and sad. Y/N looked around for some dress she could use or alter, but she wasn't that lucky.
She sat to the garden, and her good friends - three cats, who stayed there, and sometimes slept in her room - came with loud meowing.
As if they could talk. It sounds like they are mad, Y/N thought. One of the cats - black cat with golden orbs - studied her face, as if she wanted to give her piece of her mind. But, instead, she started cleaning her paw.
"No, of course not. They aren't home? Oh, as if that - alright, I won't swear, but that woman living here and making her her maid-" Y/N frowned and stood up, carefully walking into the direction of the voice. She found an old woman, talking to little mouse.
"Good evening, c-can I help you?" The woman turned to her.
"Oh, do you happen to have a piece of bread and some milk, dear?" Y/N nodded, remembering the leftovers from dinner.
"Oh, of course we have. I'll be back in a moment," she said. She knew the woman from somewhere - but where did she knew her from?
When she came back, she gave the piece of bread and cup of milk to her. The old woman thanked her, and ate it as if it would be the most delicious thing she have ever eaten.
"What is happening, Y/N? Why that long face?" Y/N looked up on her, and sighed.
"Do you know about the ball, in palace today?" The woman nodded, and Y/N sighed.
"Well, I got an invitation, but...I don't have any decent dress." The woman let out a humming, deeply in thought.
"Well, perhaps I could help you out," she said. Y/N frowned.
"How?" The woman jumped up.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, my dear. Let me just-" she stood up and all of sudden, there were tiny little sparks, then falling down as a sparkling dust.
Stardust, Y/N thought.
A young woman stood there, in simple dress with flowing skirt, a wand in her hand, and happy smile on her lips.
"I'm your fairy godmother," she introduced herself. Y/N blinked.
"But they don't exist. It's all just a fairytale," she said. Her fairy godmother furrowed her brows.
"Oh, dear! What are you teaching you these days, tsk," she let out and looked around.
"Do you happen to have, uhm, pumpkins?"
"Oh, uhm, yes, we do, over there-" She pointed to the corner of the garden, where a few pumpkins grew. Her fairy gotmother walked there and curiously eyed each one of them. Then, she took one of them.
"This one will do!" Before Y/N could argue, her fairy godmother tapped the pumpkin by the tip of her wand, and stepped aside.
Y/N's eyes widened, as there wasn't a pumpkin anymore, but a beautiful coach instead. Her fairy godmother looked around once again, and spotted the three cats.
"We also need horses, and stagecoach man..." The cats wanted to run away, but it was too late. All of sudden, there were standing three horses. Y/N runned to them.
"James! Oh, look at you!" She turned to face her fairy godmother, wonder in her face.
"How did you-you really are my fairy godmother," Y/N sighed out. Her godmother proudly smiled, and pointed towards a lizard, sitting on edge of fountaine.
"Well, now we also need...lackey!" She looked around, and spotted a bird, who was eating some tiny bits of leftover bread.
"Now, let's go, my friends, we don't have much time left!" She said with a proud smile on her face.
"Let's go dear! It's going to be really fun, I've heard they have chocolate cakes and-" Y/N catched her hand.
"I would love to, but-my dress, it's-" her fairy godmother turned to her and nodded with serious expression.
"Oh, you're right! Hm, yeah, this could work," she said and the tip of her wand created glittering ribbon in the air as she moved her hand. Little sparks danced across her dress, hair and face, and soon, she had dress she would never imagine even in her wildest dreams. Y/N gasped.
"They are beautiful! How did you-how can I thank you?" Her fairy godmother smiled and tapped the tip of her nose by her wand. Little sparkles fell across Y/N's face, and she let out a giggle.
"You, my dear, will have fun. Thanks to this, your mother and sisters won't recognize you," Her smile became a frown as she looked down.
"What about the shoes? You can't wear these!" Y/N looked down and blushed.
"Well, um, alright, but please no heals, I can't walk in them," the girl admitted rather shyly. The godmother thought about it for a moment, and told Y/N to close her eyes. When she was done, she said she can open them. Y/N gasped - they weren't shoes on heals, they were simple and comfortable, but lovely to look at.
"Now, if anyone asks you your name, tell them you're Cinderella. And remember - the spell will wear off exactly at midnight. Then, everything is going to be just like before." She explained carefully while they walked to the coach. When Y/N stepped inside, she noticed the details. It was surely the most gorgeous coach she've ever seen. She looked out of the window and waved farawell to her fairy godmother. The answer were just tiny little sparks.
When she arrived, there was a music playing already, and she could tell the celebration was in full swing. She peeked inside by the corner of one window, and noticed the Prince - he talked to his brother and seemed rather bored and terrified. Y/N giggled at that thought of the Prince being terrified of dancing with all those women and girls, trying to figure out who will be his future wife.
Prince Fili was rather nervous. He wasn't sure if he should be really there - but as much as he wished to be with his horse on a ride through forests and meadows, he also knew he was doing a favour to both the kingdom, and perhaps himself too. His brother found a lady he was happy with on similar celebration, though the other part of the story was she was the only one, who wasn't falling to his feet after he winked at her and said something flirtatious. Now, he was trying to calm Fili down. Or tried, at least.
"Look, Fee, all those ladies are here, so don't worry. There is a big chance you will find one that will like you for you, and you'll like her too."
"Or not. How did you made it last time?" Kili's face scrunched.
"Well, um, tripping over your feet after you've been trying to flirt with her whole evening, and pouring red wine on her light dress isn't the best way to start a courting, if you ask me." Fili chuckled.
"But it worked out."
"Now I'm not sure which one of you is the older one," their mother said and they both turned to her.
"Fili, dear, don't be nervous. Just be yourself. There is no reason to worry. And you," she turned to Kili,
"Try to not walk while you drink wine," Fili chuckled and Kili rolled his eyes.
"Now, the celebration will start soon, so remember what I said," she added and disappeared into crowd to talk to some of the ladies and their mothers personally.
Y/N walked through the palace, and nobody asked her for her name. Everyone was in awe - who was she? Who was the gorgeous princess?
When she walked in, she was making sure she won't trip over her feet. The whole room went quiet, the musicians stopped playing - and one question filled the air.
'Who is she?'
The Prince turned his attention to where everyone looked - and he realized all those surprised gasps and looks of awe were right.
A beautiful maiden, a young woman perhaps, he couldn't tell, stood there, with soft silver - golden dust on her nose and cheeks, creating sparkling freckles, her hair in soft waves falling over her shoulders, her dress looking as if they were made of stardust itself. Her hands were covered in long white gloves, up over her elbows, with little silver flowers around the edge, and soft smile was spreaded across her face. She started slowly walking down the few stairs, hoping she wouldn't trip over her dress.
She was almost there...
It was all quick - she was suddenly falling down, but instead of meeting the floor, she was met with a pair of strong arms, and deep chuckle above her.
"Careful here. The stairs are tricky," He helped her to stand up and her cheeks burned.
"Prince Fili," She said. A smile spreaded across his face.
"At your service, m'lady," He softly kissed the top of her hand, while looking his blue eyes, deep into her eyes.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Prince Fili," she said with pinkish cheeks. Perhaps the magic gave her courage to say something?
He smiled.
"The pleasure is all mine, my lady. May I ask you for a dance?" She nodded and soon, they were dancing across the dance floor. The music was playing again, and other pairs joined them soon.
"Your dance skills are excellent, my lady."
"You aren't bad yourself," her eyes widened at her sudden courage, but he only laughed.
"Have we met before? I'm sure I'd remembered as good dancer as you, my lady."
"I don't think so, my lord." Fili looked down at her. She was just turning around, as it was another step in the dance.
"Would you tell me your name, m'lady?" He blurted out. He wanted to talk to her whole night. He wasn't interested in all those other women and girls - especially now, when there was her, who he could actually talk to.
"You may call me Cinderella," she said. Fili thought about it. He've never heard this name before, but it was nice to finally adress her properly.
"Well, in that case, lady Cinderella - would you like to slip out to the gardens, so we could talk more in private?" He was waiting for her answer, and when she nodded and said,
"I'd love to, my prince," He breathed out in relief.
"Call me Fili, please," He said, and when they were near the glass doors, leading to gardens, they slipped out without anyone noticing.
They walked through the gardens, and talked about the ball, Fili's life and what not. When they walked around daisies, Y/N carefully picked one up. Fili's eyebrow rose in curiousity.
"There are many other flowers you can pick in the garden, my lady," She shrughed her shoulders.
"I like daisies. They are beautiful, and yet delicate and simple. They may seem ordinary, but I love them," He hummed in response and picked one too.
"May I?" He asked. Y/N nodded, curious what he was about to do. Fili placed the daisy to her hair behind her ear.
"Done," He smiled. He took her hands into his, and she gave him a curious look.
"Can we dance? Just us two, without etiquette," he shrugged his shoulders to make it seem more casual.
"I'd love to," was her answer.
They silently danced for a while, when Y/N frowned.
"Sorry, I just stepped on your toes-"
"It's okay, I actually happened to step on, uhm, all those ladies' toes and..." He looked away with embarassed face and Y/N giggled. Fili gave her a dreamy smile.
"My lady," he said and interwined their hands. Y/N hummed.
"You've been my best company through the whole celebration. I know this may be a bit too fast, but-" A sudden clock strucking sound caught Y/N's attention.
First.
"I-I'm very sorry, Pri-Fili. I've had an amazing time with you, but I have to leave now," She muttered before running through the gardens and around the castle.
Second.
One of her shoes slipped down, but she didn't got the time to take it back. She kept running.
Third.
Her dress were getting lighter and shorter, she noticed soft sparkles in the air around her.
Fourth.
She quickly came into the coach, and they barely made it through gates, before they were closed.
Fifth.
The lizard and little bird were now inside of the coach, the bird flying away.
Sixth.
It's been a short while, before the coach was getting smaller, and Y/N noticed soft smell of freshly cutted pumpkin.
Seventh.
She looked out of the little window. The night was bright, the moon was full, too.
Eight.
Her dress were almost back to how they looked like before, the sparkling dust was out of her hair and away from her face.
Nineth.
Her glowes were away, and the pumpkin crushed. Y/N and the lizard fell down to the ground, where were two cats, but still one horse. Y/N sat up and took all of them with her.
Tenth.
Y/N could see the roof of the house she was coming back to.
Eleventh.
The horse was smaller and smaller, and then he stopped - and Y/N quickly placed them all down, when the horse was a cat again. James.
Twelveth.
And everything was the way it was before. Except for...
Y/N looked down and picked up the shoe. The only thing that stayed the way it was.
The following days, Y/N couldn't stop thinking about the prince. Sure, he was kind and handsome - and that was probably enough for him to stay in her head ever since. But there was something else, which made her sad. He didn't knew her real name.
In palace, Fili was going through all the adresses, just to find out there was nobody with the name 'Cinderella'. He looked up when someone entered the door. It was his younger brother, Kili, who was more likely to catch attention of many maidens, also thanks to his shameless flirting and straight-forward attitude. But he was already courting now, the lady had both sharp tongue and mind, and soft heart. Fili was watching his brother, because he usually didn't had this expression on his face.
"What happened, Kee?" Fili asked. Kili looked over the table, full of mess.
"I will help you to find her," He said.
"I've got an idea." Fili's brows furrowed. This was never a good sign. Kili noticed his expression, and sighed. Fili could tell something was troubling him.
"I know it may be stupid, but what if we would just let all the ladies to try on the shoe?" Fili's eyes widened.
"Kili-"
"Nah, I know it was stupid, sorry Fee-"
"That is the best idea you've ever had!" Kili's eyes widened.
"Wait, what?!" Fili hugged his brother, but soon both their faces scrunched.
"That will take a while," Kili muttered and Fili nodded.
"I will start sooner then. We need to find her!" Fili said and started ordering to get his horse ready.
He won't give up.
It took days, and no maiden fitted the shoe on so far. It was as if the shoe itself was either becoming too big, or too small, so it wouldn't fit. But Fili was determined to find the woman of his heart.
Y/N was living her normal life, back in her old routine. Her mother and sisters would complain about the woman who danced with the prince, that she had him for whole evening and neither of her sisters got to dance with him. She smiled when they couldn't see her.
When after a few weeks Fili found the last house, he had a little spark of hope left. She could be there, but also not.
When they entered the house, two young women were right there. Fili didn't thought much of them, but he let them to try the shoe on. It didn't fitted to any of them, and they were about to leave, when he noticed a person hiding behind the corner.
"Come out, don't be shy," he smiled. When she stepped out, his surprise grew.
"Try the shoe on, m'lady," he said. The young woman nodded, and, surprise surprise, it fitted perfectly!
"So, lady Cinderella," He smiled.
"I'm-my name is Y/N, my lord," She looked down, but he softly lifted up her chin, so she would look at him.
"Only Fili, Y/N. For you always Fili," He stood up, and they stepped out, hand by hand. Y/N could hear her sisters and mother to yell, how was it possible - but it felt like it was far, far away.
Fili and Y/N came back to the castle, where they had beautiful wedding. When the time came up, they ruled the kingdom with kindness and justice. The people of the kingdom couldn't wish for better King and Queen.
And that all thanks to kindness and courage of heart, but also some sprinkles of magic...

Hiya. So this is part 3. Your illicit relationship with Poe continues despite the fact that both of you are starting to feel that it's wrong.
Someone is going to get hurt, and you have a terrible feeling that it will be you.
Warnings, angst! You are cheating on your significant other! (Please don't do that!) Hints of smut, age difference (nothing illegal you are in your mid 20's) Not for anyone under 18.
In a perfect galaxy this would all work out and everyone would be happy. What exactly is "perfect?" You think bitterly to yourself.
Sadly real life isn't perfect, far from it. Your relationship with Poe would have been great if you weren't both set in your ways.
Despite his youthful, virile visage Poe Dameron feels like he's getting old.
He wants to marry his soul mate, settle down and have a family very soon.
Before I'm either too old to play with them or too dead, Poe used to joke with a rakish grin on his face.
The life of an X wing pilot, especially that of the leader of the black squadron, is dangerous, and that's putting it mildly.
Despite the fact that he was kidding you could hear the seriousness in his voice and see it in his eyes.
You, on the other hand, are young (12 years younger than him to be exact) and your gut is telling you that marrying young and having kids would be a mistake.
But at the same time you understand his struggle and where he's coming from. Even though you don't share his sentiment you realize that being a husband and father is Poe's dream, and it's selfish and cruel to be with someone to crush their dreams.
You loved him so much that you let him go. But now you regret that decision but at the same time you don't want to compromise your beliefs and what you want.
And then there's your girlfriend, beautiful, whip smart Anakari. The woman that could put an X wing back together blindfolded. She's three years your junior and a master mechanic, she's even worked on the black leader's beloved craft from time to time.
The woman adores you. Her smile and kisses could make your terrible day wonderful again.
Anyone would be lucky to have someone like her in their life.
And you're doing this to her, you think bitterly.
"Babe, what's wrong? You look upset".
It's a late Friday night and you once again find yourself in Poe's bed. Instead of basking in the afterglow of the moment you are having trouble relaxing.
You've been intimate with him again, twice already and the night is still somewhat young. He isn't done with you, in fact he's just warming up.
Your body is in a state of deep relaxation from the pleasurable sensations that you've experienced. Your mind, though, is wandering.
Poe can see this, and it's upsetting to him.
With a deep sigh you roll over on your side, facing away from him. He wraps his strong arms around you and holds you tight.
"I love you, y/n". Poe confesses, kissing you softly. "I don't think you understand that at times, it broke my heart when you said no when I proposed".
His candid words sent a knife right through your heart.
He still loved you, the words came right out of his mouth.
Poe wanted to marry you, wanted you to be the mother of his children, but you weren't ready for that.
The way he looked at you and the way he touched you told you that, there was noone else in the galaxy that he wanted to be with.
But in order for things to work someone would have to make a sacrifice.
"Poe, I'm not ready to be a wife and a mother, I've said this all before". You explain with a deep sigh. "I love you too, but I'm just not ready".
"I'm willing to compromise". Poe explains with a weak smile. "But what about your girlfriend?"
"I can't let you do that". You reply quickly, sitting up quickly. "It's your dream to be a father, to be honest I'm not sure if I ever want to have children".
"I don't know how I could live my life without you being a major part of it". He confesses, sitting up, his eyes red from tears. "You have my whole heart, I've never loved anyone before like this".
The two of you share another one of those passionate kisses that feel forbidden. You look deeply into his gorgeous eyes and you are lost, you've never been near someone as beautiful, inside and out, as him.
Everything about him is attractive, down to his hands and feet. Poe was like a living, breathing sculpture, just pure perfection.
But he was also a human being with complex emotions. At times you felt like you were leading him along, keeping him from fully realizing his dreams because you wanted to keep using his body for your own pleasure.
"Poe, we can't continue doing this". You confess, holding your head in your hands as you start to cry. "I'm holding you back from what you really want in life and we both know this".
"Please, I can compromise". Poe begged as he leaned over and kissed you again. "Don't do this, I love you and will always love you".
You get out of bed and start to get dressed. Before you leave you take one last look at him and say,
"I love you too, that's why I'm doing this".
Five years later
You hadn't talked to him since that fateful day but you heard that eventually Poe had reconnected with his first love, Zorii Bliss, had a whirlwind romance, got married and had two kids close together with a third on the way.
He was now in his early 40's. His beautiful hair was a salt and pepper gray. Poe looked relaxed, happy and fulfilled in life and deeply in love with Zorii.
Zorii was a passionate and tough woman. In your opinion Poe needed someone like that in his life.
His two beautiful little boys were his world. He looked softer, happier and much more relaxed because of them.
They were adorable with curly reddish brown hair, their father's dark eyes and tan skin.
Your girlfriend is now your wife. You confessed everything to her and she forgave you. The two of you are not only spouses but best friends. You are enjoying your blissful, child free life.
You are happy, extremely happy, but you can't help but wonder if Poe still thinks of you and those lust filled days and nights that you spent together.
The four of you agree to go out on a double date together. Poe wants you to meet his wife.
Zorii is about 7 months along with a little girl. It was going to be their last child. His family was complete and he was happy, so happy, you could see it in his eyes and smile.
You couldn't help but feel slight pangs of jealousy when you see Poe kiss his wife and remember that was once you.
The feelings soon fade when you see how good she is to him, and how happy they genuinely are.
Zorii and Anakari go off by themselves to chat, leaving just you and Poe together alone.
At first the silence is awkward, almost painful. You can't even look at him at first.
"You were right, y/n, I'm happy". Poe confesses, a strained smile appearing on his face. "My boys are my world, and we're finally having a little girl".
"Congratulations". You tell him, smiling weakly and leaning over to gently touch his hand. "Zorii is a wonderful woman, I'm happy for you, seriously".
"Zorii keeps me in line, and I think I need that". Poe tells you, laughing a little. "Ana is a special woman too, brilliant and beautiful, you're so lucky".
"I still love you, and I will always love you until the end of time". Poe continues, looking down a little. "But we had different goals in life, my kids are my world and I can't imagine them not being here".
"I still love you too". You confess, the tears streaming down your face. "But we weren't meant to be, at least not in this lifetime".
The end

Hey there! Could you maybe do toasted marshmallows, bonfire, and see your breath in the air as as prompt for whoever? If not that's totally fine. Your stuff is all really good and brightens my day all the time! I'm so excited that you have that masterlist now! Have a great night!
Drinking is mentioned.
The sun peeked through the trees as a light breeze swept through the yard. Race gazed up at the old house he and Spot had purchased a couple of years ago. They had spent the morning raking leaves, only for their dog, Spud, to jump in them and make a mess. And now it was time to sit, relax, and enjoy the gorgeous day.
October was here and it was the perfect day for a bonfire in the yard. With mugs of hot apple cider, Race sat in a lounge chair while Spot got to work building the fire. “You sure you know what you’re doing?”
“I mean it’s not hard to catch some leaves on fire before putting some wood on top.” Spot grinned. “Besides, unlike you, I did a few years of Scouts and the number one rule of Scouts is Be Prepared!”
Race chuckled. “Just get the fire started, Spottie. I need my heater over here to keep me warm. And your apple cider is getting cold.”
They both waited several seconds with baited breath before the leaves caught fire along with several sticks that were thrown in the fire pit. “Ha, in your face Racetrack. Doubting my skills.”
“Alright, my Mr mighty fire builder, come over here and keep me warm.” Race opened his arms for Spot to crawl into his lap as he nestled his head into Spot’s warm chest. “We should roast marshmallows.”
Spot chuckled. “That sounds like a plan. Let the fire die down some and we can do that. Is there anything else we need to do today?”
“Nope. Chili is simmering on the stove, fire built, Spud’s down for the count. Kat and Jack said they might stop by later along with Blink, Mush, Albert and Finch.” Race sighed in contentment.
Taking a sip of his apple cider, Spot nodded. “Sounds like a solid Saturday afternoon.”
They both watch Spud wiggle next to them in the grass with a laugh before hearing a car door slam. Spud was on his feet barking heading to the front of the house before either of them could move.
They waited for whoever had arrived to make their appearance. In the meantime, Spot leaned down and kissed Race. “Happy autumn, snookums.”
“It’s been a pretty spectacular day, huh?” Race grinned, seeing his brother and Kat walk around the corner of the house with Spud at their heels.
“Hey you two.” Jack yelled, as Spud took something from Kat’s hand and went to lay down. “Yard looks good.”
Spot gave him a look. “Thanks but you’re rewarding the dog that messed it up this morning.”
“In what way?” Kat gave him a look, sitting in one of the chairs around the fire pit.
Race watched Spud chew on the rawhide that the two had brought him before looking at the happy couple. “We were raking leaves and mister decided to run through them and make a mess. It’s a good thing we love him.”
“Awww he probably didn’t mean to.” Kat reached over and gave him belly rubs.
Spot and Race both chuckled, shaking their heads at how spoiled their dog is by friends and family. “What have you guys been up to?”
“She made me clean bathrooms today.” Jack cried dramatically, giving his wife a look. “Other than that we went to the farmer’s market before coming here.”
Race patted Jack’s shoulder sympathetically. “I feel your pain, Jackie. Spottie makes me clean the bathrooms too.”
“Would you rather wash floors or dust?” Kat gave him a look, raising an eyebrow. “You complain when I make you wash dishes or vacuum. You’re pitching in around the house, somehow - laundry, vacuum, dusting, or bathrooms. Pick your poison.”
Spot gave Race a look. “Don’t give me that look - you’re in the same boat as your brother. Pick your poison.”
Kat held her arm up for a high five as Spot obliged. Jack and Race looked at their spouses. “I believe we’ve been set up.”
“Way to go Captain Obvious.” Spot grinned at his beloved before looking at Jack and Kat. “Pleasure doing business with you Kat!”
They heard more car doors close as Jack looked at the two. “Expecting more people?”
“As our house usually is, it was an open invite. We texted you two but I may have let it slip to Albert and Blink as well.” Race grinned, watching the two walk around the corner of the house with their better halves. “Hey guys! We have chili simmering on the stove and s’more stuff for later.”
Greetings and hugs were exchanged before everyone got cozy around the fire, which Spot had put another two logs on. Race tilted his head back and blew air from his mouth grinning. “Hey I can see my breath.”
“How old are you again?” Albert asked, giving his best friend a look.
Race stuck out his tongue and laughed. “Today, I’m 6 but on a normal day, 25.”
The group laughed, while Spot nestled deeper into Race’s lap. A discussion about football started up. The local university was playing away that day so Albert and Blink had their phones out with the updates coming through.
Race stood up from the chair, gently depositing Spot in the chair before backing Kat to come with him into the house. He went to the stove and stirred the chili and gave her a look. “Will you gather the stuff for s‘mores?”
They were silent as they attended both of their tasks - him gathering stuff for chili while she found all the s‘ more stuff. “Race, how’s it going?”
“Good. We have a home visit next week and that’s the last step before we’re officially adoptive parents. Once that’s done, we can start adopting or foster.” Race grinned, as she stopped and hugged him.
“That’s so exciting. You two have been waiting for this for the last two years.” She grinned. “Are you going to foster or go right into adoption?”
Race grabbed a few bowls from the cupboard before shrugging. “I think we’re leaning toward adoption but there’s quite a waitlist for adoption so we may foster first. We have an option where we could foster and adopt if it’s a right fit.”
“I’m excited for you two. Jack and I are here if you need anything.” Kat put everything on a tray before putting it on the kitchen table.
“Thanks. We really appreciate it. Your character reference letter you did for us was more than we could’ve asked for.” Race hugged her again
She grinned, swallowing the wave of emotion that surged through her. “You’re welcome. Jack and I’ll do anything for you and Spot.”
Race nodded, grabbing the sour cream and shredded cheese from the fridge before looking at the counter. “Can you let those yahoo’s know chili is ready?”
She walked out to the wrap around porch, yelling at the ones in the yard. He heard everyone before he could see them. They gathered around, grabbing bowls and ladling them up with chili and all the fixings. Spot pulled Race close, kissing him before grinning. “This looks good. Thanks for making it.”
Shouts of gratitude and thanks were yelled as everyone headed outside. Silence fell over the group as everyone dug. “That’s the best chili I’ve had.”
“Only because you didn’t have to make it.” Race quipped, giving Mush a look. “Besides, from what I’ve heard, you’re banned from the kitchen.”
Albert and Jack both chuckled. “Not sure why you’re laughing, boys. Heard you’re not allowed in either without supervision.”
“It was a teeny tiny fire.” Jack said before putting another spoonful in his mouth.
Spot raised an eyebrow. “Then why was the fire department called?”
“They were called for precaution. Just to make sure everything was alright.” Jack argued, giving the group a look. “I’m usually on grilling duty.”
“That way the house won’t explode.” Kat broke in as the entire group busted into laughter. “But I still love you, sweetie.”
Wiping tears from his eyes, Race grinned at Spot. “I guess I’m the lucky one that both of us can hold our own in the kitchen. And he bakes too.”
Blowing on his nails before buffing them on his shirt, Spot grinned. “Did you grab the cookies for tonight?”
“No, Kat grabbed all of the s’more stuff but I’ll grab them when I bring that stuff out.” Race promised, sighing in contentment.
Spot added a couple of pieces of wood to the fire. A conversation about work and future plans was started as Race and Spot started picking bowls and heading back into the house. “Will you grab a couple of blankets while I grab the s’more stuff?”
With a nod, Spot grabbed the clear bucket of bonfire blankets, meeting Race in the kitchen with a kiss. “Love you.”
“Love you too Spottie.”
Heading back out, Race set the tray of s’more stuff on the little table before collapsing in a chair with a sigh. “There’s marshmallows, graham crackers, cookies, and various chocolate to make your own s’mores. The marshmallow sticks are in the bucket.”
“Thanks Race, Spot for hosting us.” Albert raised his beer bottle in thanks.
“Anytime.” Spot said grinning. “Actually, we might need your help soon.”
Albert raised an eyebrow with a grin. “Name it.”
“Race and I are thinking of putting in a garden in the back part of the property next spring. Something small to start but we might need your Rototiller to break up some of the grass and dirt.” Spot explained.
Albert nodded. “Yeah absolutely. Do you know what you want to plant?”
Albert and Finch had put in a garden over the summer and filled it with carrots, radishes, peppers, tomatoes, watermelon, and were currently growing pumpkins now. There had been many times that Albert and Finch had made dinner from the contents of their garden.
“We figured we’d start small, maybe carrots, lettuce, or radishes and go from there.” Race shrugged. “We want to be able to manage it and not have it take up every free second we have.”
Finch nodded. “Let us know when you want the rototiller and it’s yours.”
Race moved from the chair to grab a stick and a marshmallow before sitting closer to the fire. His tongue poked out of his mouth in concentration, as he slowly toasted his marshmallow for the perfect hue. “Just stick it in and burn it, Racer.”
“Just because you like tasting carbon when you eat your marshmallows, doesn’t mean the rest of us do.” Race gave Jack a look. “Besides, this is how I like my s'mores .”
Spot had two graham crackers and a piece of chocolate waiting for him as he pulled his marshmallow from the fire. “Look at that beauty! Stunning work of art.”
He crafted his s’more before taking a bite and moaning in delight. “Pure Heaven, right here.”
The rest of the group made their s’mores, Jack critiquing their marshmallow toasting strategies. “If you think you can do it any better, how about you roast one youself, Jackie.”
“Maybe I will.” Jack stood up, grabbing a stick and a marshmallow before sticking it in the fire for a few seconds, waiting for it to catch fire before pulling it out and extinguishing the side by blowing on it. “Ta da!”
Spot and Race both cracked up laughing at the black, burnt marshmallow. “Any monkey could do that. It takes skill and determination to make a marshmallow as perfect as mine.”
Jack gave him a look. “Well we can’t all be as tedious as you are.”
“Thank goodness for that. There’s room for only one Racer in the world.” Albert grinned, nudging his best friend.
Race laughed, nodding. “Thanks Al.”
“We were all thinking it, I just said it.” Albert smirked.
The rest of the night was spent trading stories around the fire while toasting marshmallows, enjoying each other’s company. Laughter lit up the night like the flames. It was a great night and one that Race would look back on with nothing but fondness.
Thanks @deliciouspeachpirate for the prompt. Hope you enjoy it!!!

You wake up before Ivar today. The sun is barely shining when you get a burst of energy. You decide to put on your auburn shawl over your nightdress to take a walk outside. You take one last look at Ivar before you sneak out the door. You still have to pinch yourself that he is your husband, he is damn near close to being perfect. The sun is barely peeking through the windows and it is coming in on Ivar's abs, defining them beautifully. His hair is messy from sleep and his lips are slightly parted. You smile at yourself and then walk out the door. You tiptoe past Hvitserk's room so you don't wake him as well. You walk past windows on your way to the door and it looks so inviting outside. You unlock the double doors and the fresh breeze hits you in the face. You instinctively inhale the cooling breeze as it washes over you. A worker looks up at you with shock on her face and she walks up to you.
The woman "Why are you up so early, my queen?"
"Oh! I just have a burst of energy. Can't sleep any longer." She nods and looks down at your belly and smiles.
The woman "you are growing, ma'am."
"I know. I can't wait to feel the baby start kicking!"
The woman "you will start to the feel the baby during your second trimester. You are only a little over 2 months along, so you will feel the baby around 4-5 months."
"Thank you for telling me that!"
The woman "I was shocked to see you out here! Yesterday your morning sickness was terrible."
"Yeah I know, I guess the baby wanted to give me a break this morning. If you'll excuse me ma'am, I'll be in the woods if you need me, okay?" She agrees and you start to head towards the woods. The tree line is your favorite place to be. You feel one with nature there. Seeing all the birds fly above your head, see the squirrels and bunny rabbits run by your feet, and sometimes you get lucky and stop a deer. You look over at a tree branch that had something growing out of it. You walk over to it to find out that there was a little flower trying to grow! The first sign of spring is close by and you can't wait for it to finally arrive. The winter's here in Kiev are very brutal and the storms have been rough so to see a flower trying to bloom is warming your spirits. You walk further into the woods and you can hear what sounds like horses coming from your land hand side. You spot the horses trailing a carriage and you can't quite make out who is inside. Fear of it being Prince Dir, you start to run back to the palace. When you get closer to the door, you see Hvitserk running out of the doors in a panic. You run towards him and he immediately looks relieved when he sees you.
Hvitserk "Y/n! What-where...where were you?!"
"I-I was in the woods." He grabs your face and pulls you into his chest.
Hvitserk "I thought the Prince came without us knowing and took you-don't do that ever again….okay?"
"Yeah..I'm so sorry I-I just got a burst of energy and wanted to take a walk in the woods. But Hvitserk...there's someone coming!"
Hvitserk "It's probably just my brother Ubbe and his wife Torvi...I sent for them yesterday remember?"
"Yes but….they are here already?"
Hvitserk "I said that it was urgent...Ubbe doesn't mess around." You hear Ivar's crutches come from behind him.
Ivar "WHERE IS SHE?!?" You move over so that Ivar can finally see you.
"I'm right here."
Ivar "My gods Y/n...don't scare me like that!"
"I just wanted to take a walk, I'm sorry Ivar." He grabs your face and pulls you in for a quick kiss.
Ivar "it's okay, my sweet. I'm not mad at you, I was just scared."
Hvitserk "And my brother...never gets scared."
"I am sorry. I just got a burst of energy this morning and wanted to take a walk in the woods, the folk knew where I was if that makes you feel any better."
Ivar "It does, but they can't protect you like Hvitserk and I can. You know that."
"I do...I won't do it again."
Hvitserk "just...tell us first. You have your freedom Y/n, we just don't like not knowing where you are especially if there is a threat coming, yes?"
"Yes-" the sound of horses came into your gates and Hvitserk runs to the carriage. Out comes Ubbe and his wife Torvi. Ubbe runs to Hvitserk and grabs his face and pulls him to his, butting heads in a loving fashion.
Ivar "oh good. They're here."
"When I was in the woods, I didn't know that it was Ubbe, I thought that it was Prince Dir… I ran back as fast as I could."
Ivar "It's alright, princess. It's just them. More to the reason why I don't want you to be by yourself. Alright?" You agree and kiss him quickly before you make your way to Ubbe.
Ubbe "Wow look at you! You are glowing!"
"Thank you Ubbe, it's nice to have you back." You give him a hug and he pulls back to look at your belly.
Ubbe "He's gonna be a big one, HUH?!"
Ivar "We don't know the sex yet, brother."
Torvi "My husband is being very rude and not introducing me, I am Torvi."
"Y/n, it's very nice to meet you! And looks like we are pregnant at the same time!"
Torvi "ah yes! Aw our babies can grow up together!" She pulls you into a bear hug and grabs your face then looks at Ivar. "You got a gorgeous wife, Ivar!"
Ivar "Yes, I know this well. I am truly blessed."
Hvitserk "come on, let's talk business inside."
….
Ubbe "so, tell me Ivar...why have you called me here? Hvitserk said it was very urgent."
Ivar "yes, we are fearing a new threat Ubbe. His name is Prince Dir, he is the brother of Prince Oleg."
Ubbe "the bastard that hurt Y/n?"
Ivar "Yes, brother. We fear that he will come here to take the throne or take Prince Igor away."
Torvi "I'm sorry, I am lost."
"Prince Igor is my nephew from my last marriage. My late husband Prince Oleg was not a very good husband or king-"
Hvitserk "he treated her like a slave. Tortured her and raped her. He tried to kill her but Ivar stopped him."
Ivar "I had no choice but to kill him. I would have done it the proper way but he was going to so I acted quickly."
"Can we...change the subject please." The flashbacks of that terrible night came back into your memory and made you feel sick to your stomach. Ivar realized how this conversation is affecting you and grabbed your hand.
Torvi "I am so very sorry Y/n. But look at you now, happily married and with child."
"Yes, way happier than I was. Thanks to Ivar and Hvitserk."
Ubbe "tell me brother, how did you get here?"
Hvitserk "I walked! When Bjorn banished me, I had no other way but to walk on foot. It was brutally cold and I stumbled across Y/n hunting called out to her. She took me in without hesitation. Now I owe my life to her because she saved mine." He looks over at you and smiles.
Ubbe "very good. Thank you for saving my brother Y/n."
"Of course."
Ivar "now that we are all caught up to speed, will you help us brother. Will you help us if we do have a war on our hands?"
Ubbe "Of course Ivar. We have a past but it is in the past, and you are a changed person. And you are going to be a father...so yes of course I will help you."
Ivar "thank you Ubbe."
Torvi "so Y/n! How far along are you!?"
"A little over 2 months, how about you?"
Torvi "4 months. This little monster is so active."
"Boy or girl?"
Ubbe "A boy."
Ivar "congratulations Ubbe." Igor comes into the room in a panic.
Igor "Y/N, IVAR...HVITSERK!!"
Ivar "what is it?!"
Igor "It's Prince Dir! He sent for us! He's coming!"
Hvitserk "give me the partridge."
It reads 'dear queen of Novgorod, I have received notice of my brother Prince Oleg's demise. In doing so, it is my sworn duty to take his place as King of Kiev. I will take my place as king. If you refuse, I will have no choice but to take the next in line to the throne, my nephew Prince Igor. You will see me very shortly.
~Prince Dir
Ubbe "well...it seems like you do need my assistance after all brothers."
Torvi "we will send for our army and shield maiden's."
Hvitserk "I trained our troops and maiden's too, they now fight like Vikings brother."
Ivar "good."
"I am fighting."
Ivar "oh no you are not."
"Yes I am, this is my kingdom...my nephew to protect."
Ivar "You are with child! I will not allow you to step a foot onto that battlefield."
Hvitserk "Ivar is right Y/n. The risk is too high."
"I am a warrior. I will protect my people. I will fight for you Ivar! You are my king and I will not allow someone else to take your place!"
Ubbe "Let her fight Ivar." Ivar looks at Ubbe with a shocked look on his face. How could his brother say such a thing!?
Hvitserk "Ubbe...it's not a good i-"
Ubbe "Y/n...who trained you?"
"My father was Viking...died in battle. He trained me from little up. Then when I got married into this kingdom, Oleg trained me. He used me to show an example as to how strong we all are. I trained with these shield maiden's."
Torvi "Then she will fight. As will I."
Ubbe "Are you sure?"
Torvi "Yes Ubbe. I am sure. Her story spoke to me. I once was a slave, I know how it feels to be treated like a whore. Used for my body. So yes, I will fight...for her."
Ivar "can I speak to you in private for a moment?" He asks you and gets up from the table.
"Ivar I-"
Ivar "NOW!" You look at Hvitserk who just looks at you like 'just go.'
….
"What is it?"
Ivar "how could you do this?"
"I want to fight because I have my life to fight for Ivar. You are my king, I want to fight for you. Prince Igor is my nephew by marriage, I have a duty to protect him and his life. And now, I have to fight for a good life for our child."
Ivar "I...I can't fight."
"I know Ivar. But I will have Hvitserk and Ubbe by my side. They will help protect me."
Ivar "Y/n...I can't lose you."
"You won't. Look at me." His face hung so you pick his face up in your hands so that he looks at you. "I'm not going anywhere. I will train with Hvitserk before he comes here.. even after the war is declared, I will train beside him. He is a good fighter, yes?"
Ivar "Yes."
"Then I will train by his side. And Ubbe's. You have nothing to worry about. I am strong, remember?"
Ivar "I know you are, baby but this is a battle we are talking about here."
"I am well aware. This is my choice."
Ivar "I don't like it...but okay."
"I love you Ivar. Please have faith in me."
Ivar "I do, princess. It's them I don't have faith in. To them, you are free game."
"Well they don't know who they are messing with. I am the queen of Novgorod, the queen of Kiev….no one messes with me and my family." You didn't know Hvitserk came into the room until he spoke.
Hvitserk "I...am so proud of you. You...are one of the strongest women I have ever met in my entire life."
"Thank you Hvitserk. Will you help me fight?"
Hvitserk "What time?"
"Now."
Hvitserk "Let's go."
You spend the remainder of the day, training with Hvitserk. He took it easy on you because you are pregnant but still, he was putting up a fight. Your arms are now sore and your back hurts but you have learned new tricks and stunts on how to strike your opponent. Once you get in, Hvitserk comes in behind you.
Hvitserk "She's a fighter, Ivar!"
Ivar "oh yeah? How did she do?"
Hvitserk "She can kill me...does that answer your question?"
Ivar "yes...yes it does."
"I'm going to take a bath, I'm sore."
Ivar "Did you go too hard on her!?"
Hvitserk "No of course not Ivar, she hasn't fought in awhile...that's why she is sore."
"Ivar, I am fine. Will you come join me?"
Ivar "I'll be in in a second, my love." You walk off to get the bath ready.
Hvitserk "She is strong Ivar. Did you see her fight out there?"
Ivar "I saw a few bits and pieces."
Hvitserk "Well she even got me a couple of times, and I never get caught up like that! She taught me more than I taught her."
Ivar "Ubbe, you will train with her tomorrow, yes?"
Ubbe "Yes."
_____________________________________
The water is warm and Ivar comes in to help you undress.
Ivar "I swear, seeing you never gets old, beautiful."
"I can say the same. Come on, you get in first." He settles in and you gently lay on top of him, your back facing him. He wets your hair and your back, massaging slightly.
Ivar "I do love you, you know that right?"
"Yes. And I love you too."
Ivar "that's why I worry so much. I love you too much to see you get hurt or worse. I've seen you hurt before and those weeks were the worst. Seeing you helpless and in pain, it killed me Y/n. This battle...can be huge-"
"I know. I know. If it makes you feel any better, when Prince Dir comes and he shows more of a threat then we are planning for...I will consider not fighting."
Ivar "you mean that?" You move so that you are now facing him.
"Yes. I mean it. I want to fight with all of my being but I also don't want to put our child's life at risk. So I will reconsider." A stray tear falls from his face but you catch it with your thumb. His lips start to quiver and he clashes his lips to yours. He loves you more than he could ever put into words. He just hopes that he will have you for forever.
Ivar "still me and you right?"
"Always Ivar. Me and you."
Ivar "forever?"
"Forever."

i'm not sure if you'd write anything like this but i would LOVE to read a fic where rob is say an escort and aaron is a rich business man (or switch them around idk) and robert starts falling for him but aaron starts getting more detached the more time they spend w each other
Escort
Aaron stood in front of his full body mirror, smoothing hisgrey suit down, turning sideways on to check if he looked presentable. He’dbeen invited to a industry party, a high class event, and he knew that peoplewould ask questions if he showed up alone. He’d been to so many of them beforethat it had gotten repetitive, barely walking in the door before someone askedwhere his plus one was.
“I’m single.” He’d say. “I’ve got nobody to take to eventslike this.”
They’d sympathise, of course they would. A young, attractivemulti-millionaire: single? But they didn’t seem to twig that Aaron didn’t wantto introduce anyone to this world. He spent so much time in it, trying to buildhis own business up from scratch, wanting to get that validation and successfullife that he dreamed of having, that he just didn’t have time to meet a newbloke.
Which is why he had called up an escort business, asked foran attractive man, similar age to Aaron’s own, in hope that people would fallfor their lie. He was due to be knocking on Aaron’s door any moment, Aarondeciding that they should at least meet up beforehand so that they could sortout their cover story.
What Aaron hadn’t taken into consideration, however, was howattractive the escort would be.
He turned up at Aaron’s door, his shoulder leaning againstthe frame, black suit perfectly fitted to his body. It wasn’t designer, but atleast it was tailored perfectly, and for that, Aaron thanked his lucky stars.
His name was Robert, and he looked amazing.
“So, what’s the plan?” Robert asked, sneaking a look atAaron’s arse as he bent over to pick up his wallet and keys.
“You’re my boyfriend, we’ve been together for six months andI’ve kept you secret because I didn’t want to mix my business with my personallife.” Aaron spoke, explaining everything to Robert whilst walking around hisroom.
Robert nodded along, listening carefully to Aaron’sinstructions. He needed this money, and hopefully, if he did a convincingenough job tonight, Aaron would hire him for more jobs.
“So, Aaron, how exactly are you single?” Robert had askedthe invasive question as Aaron sat in the drivers seat. “I mean, you’re hardlyugly, and you’re successful.”
Aaron pulled out of his drive, beeping the button againstthe brick wall, allowing the electronic gates to open up in front of them.“Building a business empire takes time and patience. While my friends from backhome went out to nightclubs every weekend, I was working on business plans, andsigning contracts.” Aaron explained, eyes firmly on the road. “I didn’t havetime to go out and meet men, it just wasn’t something that ever interested me-I figured that once I had my business the way I wanted it, I’d get a boyfriend, but I really just haven’t done anything about that.”
“What exactly is your business?” Robert asked, pressing hishead against the plush leather head rest, eyes trained on Aaron’s side profile, inwardly not at all complaining about having to spend time with the attractiveman.
“I buy and sell classic cars and car parts.” Aaronexplained. “I used to work at my uncles garage and we had a few classic carscoming in from time to time and that’s how I got interested in them. So now Ihave dealers in different places all over the country, a few in Europe, and we basicallyget hold of the cars, sell them off to different places if the price is right.”
Robert nodded, already sensing that Aaron was going to askhim a question next.
He did.
“How did you get into the escort business then?”
Robert chuckled, knowing that pretty much everyone he metthrough his job either asked the same question, or wanted to ask it.
“I was nineteen and my dad pretty much abandoned me.” Hestarted, voice trailing off a little bit. “I didn’t have a lot of money, andthe money I did have allowed me to be put in a hostel for a couple of nights.Within a couple of weeks I met my first boss and he helped me get off thestreets through being an escort. It’s not the best job in the world, but itmakes money, and as a nineteen year old that was the most important thing.”
Just as Aaron predicted, the moment he walked into thebuilding with Robert on his arm, they were bombarded with questions. It was thefirst time for people at the event to see Aaron’s personal life, even if itwasn’t actually real. Robert stayed with Aaron, smiling at and shaking handswith everyone Aaron mingled with, talking both business and pleasure. Aaronknew Robert had experience with this, that much was easy to see. Aaron handed apint over to Robert, who he had left to speak to Mark, who had only recentlycome into the industry circle. Robert, attempting to keep up with the lie, kissed Aarons jawline in a way to say ‘thank you’, his nose tickling as itbrushed against Aarons beard. Unsurprisingly, Aaron flushed a pale shade ofred, not used to this contact at all, but thankfully everyone played it offthat Robert just caused Aaron to react that way because it was Robert.
“I cant believe you kept him hidden for six months Aaron!”Marks wife exclaimed, drinking the last of her champagne. “He’s definitely akeeper.”
Aaron chuckled, naturally wrapping his arm around Robertswaist, which even surprised himself. “Definitely.” He responded, pullingRoberts body into his own.
A day later, the money had been transferred into Robertsbank account, more money than he had been expecting. The money Aaron had givenRobert was on par with the money he would be expected to earn if they had hadsex, which would now mean that Robert would be called in, because, in all thetime Robert had been at this firm, he was one of the escorts that didn’t havesex with clients. Especially first time clients.
Robert was right, because less than an hour later, he wasbeing called into the office.
“This money that Mr Dingle transferred to you.” His boss, John, said. “What did you do to get that?”
Robert shrugged, knowing that it’d be difficult to get outof this one. “I just went to his industry party, acted like his boyfriend. Ikissed his cheek, and nothing else happened. He was just rich, probably thoughtthat was how much I was owed.”
John tilted back on his chair, intertwining his fingersacross his chest. “Anyway, whatever you did yesterday worked. He wants to be aregular client for you now.”
“Really?” Robert asked, genuinely shocked and surprised. Heknew that they seemed to work well together, and that people bought into theirlie, but he didn’t expect Aaron to want to become a regular client.
John nodded. “Obviously we’ll have to do the normal checksbefore you both see each other again, and he has shown evidence of being clean. You can do your checks today and we’ll go on from there.”
It was three days. Three whole days since Aaron had asked tobecome a regular client for Robert. They both had all the relevant checks, justto make sure they were both clean in case anything did end up happening betweenthe two of them. Aaron had asked for Robert to meet him at his work office, knowing full well that people had been talking and the news that Aaron actuallyhad a boyfriend had spread like wildfire. People had been asking Aaron how theyhad met, a few of the women wanting to see photos of Robert, and Aaron hadbarely managed to escape the wrath of them when he kept his cards close to hischest. That was the thing about being the boss of his own business. Most peoplewould expect him to be harsh and refuse to speak to his employees, but Aaronbelieved that that wasn’t the way to run a business. He, from the very start, didn’t treat people in a hierarchal order, he was down to earth and lookedafter everyone, treating everyone in the exact same way.
Robert walked in, giving his name to the man on the desk, who rang up to Aaron’s office. Robert knew the minute he came into contact withpeople at the firm that all eyes were on him. It was like they just knew. Aaron had already warned him thatpeople had been gossiping, he had asked John to pass that information on toRobert.
“Never expected to hear from you again.” Robert announcedafter shutting Aaron’s door.
Aaron stood up from his chair, walking to the front of hisdesk and leaning against it, arms folded across his body. “Well everyone wantedto meet my boyfriend, so I thought I’d give them the pleasure.” He explained.“But that means that the lie has to keep going on, so I thought I’d become aregular client for the time being.”
“Yeah about that.” Robert started. “You gave me way too muchmoney for what is was! I had my boss on my back think we slept together.”
Aaron smirked, pushing off the desk and walking towardsRobert. “Well you are attractive.”
Robert rolled his eyes, all of a sudden become a shy mess, something that just didn’t happen to him. He was confident, sometimes overlyso. But not now. Not with Aaron. Hesomehow managed to speak. “So how is this happening? Do you just get in touchwith John when you need me or?”
“I was thinking more, you give me your number and we canstay in touch through that?” Aaron asked.
Robert nodded, taking his phone out of his jeans pocket andhanding it over to Aaron, taking that moment to look at him closely. He wasdressed formally, a crisp white shirt tucked into some black suit trousers, hissleeves rolled over slightly, showing off just a little bit of his forearms.Robert appreciated his chest, and knew that Aaron must work out regularly toachieve that. He was gorgeous in Robert’s eyes, and he didn’t like to see hisclients in anyway other that just clients, but he couldn’t help it when it cameto Aaron.
The next couple of times they met, Aaron had needed Robertfor business events. People had become aware that Aaron was going to them morefrequently than he needed to, and it was no coincidence at all that he onlywent to them to spend time with Robert. None at all.
Aaron didn’t seem to care what people were saying about him,he actually encouraged the gossip, because it always made for a conversationwhen he texted Robert. Which he did a lot.
It was almost as if they had started a relationship up, andit was real.
This time they met up, it was completely different. Theywouldn’t be around hundreds of business associates, it would be just the two ofthem, on a date, with Mark and his wife. It was Mark who suggested it, over thephone to Aaron at the beginning of the week. Of course, Aaron agreed. Whowouldn’t? It was a chance to see Robert dressed up in a nice suit again, and tospend more time with him.
That was why he sent Robert off to Aarons favourite tailor. He wanted Robert to have the nicest suit possible. Entirely for Aarons ownbenefit.
The restaurant was posh enough. Robert could see that as Aarondrove them in front of the grand building, handing the keys to his ’64 Bentleyover to the valet.
“Marks texted me and he’s already in there with Kath.” Aarontold Robert as he intertwined their fingers together. They’d never done thatbefore, but it felt natural in that moment.
“So tell me.” Kath started, putting her fork to her plate, looking up at Robert and Aaron, who were sat opposite her and her husband.“When did the two of you meet, exactly?”
Robert decided to take the lead, gently brushing his fingerover Aaron’s knuckle, who pulled back in shock slightly before realising thatRobert was only doing his job. “Aaron’s best friend managed to drag him on anight out, which isn’t something he would usually go along with, but I’m gladhe did. We bumped into each other, I bought him a pint and he was shamelesslyflirting with me so we just exchanged numbers and met up for a meal afterthat.”
Aaron just nodded along, smiling at Robert.
“That’s adorable,” Kath commented. “Isn’t it, darling?”
“It is.” Mark smiled earnestly. “I hope you two are as happyas me and Kath are.”
Aaron smiled, taking the lead and kissing Robert’s handgently, something else that they had never done. “We are.”
By the time it was time to go home, it was getting onto halfeleven at night, the sky a pitch black colour and only the street lights and afew cars illuminated the roads. Aaron drove straight back to his own house, knowing that in reality, he was too tired to drive any further. “You can stayhere tonight.” He told Robert. “Unless you have somewhere to be?”
Robert shook his head, getting out of Aaron’s car. “Nope,I’m free now until you need to use me again.”
Neither of them knew exactly how it happened, but it wasalways inevitable. Aaron had Robert up against the wall, his hands shovedbetween their two bodies, rubbing against Robert’s crotch as they kissed.
Robert somehow managed to find the strength to push Aaron upthe stairs, silently begging Aaron to take him to his bedroom. Which he did, thankfully.
The roles were reversed as Aaron led on his bed, the quiltinstantly being messed up as he shrugged his trousers off, Robert stood at thefoot of the bed doing the exact same. “You okay with this?” Aaron askedbreathily as Robert climbed over him, making quick work of unbuttoning hisshirt.
“Yeah.” Robert responded, his voice deep with lust. “You?”
Aaron didn’t vocally respond, he pressed his lips to Robertand helped Robert into a state of undress, so both of them were equally asnaked as the other.
The next morning, Aaron woke up with Robert wrapped aroundhis body, legs intertwined under the covers. He looked at his bedroom floor, eyes squinting ever so slightly because of how bright it was in his room. Allhe could see was his and Robert’s clothes scattered over the floor, boxershanging halfway off the bedpost.
He got up slowly, in an attempt to not wake Robert up, wholooked like he was sleeping soundly, a relaxed look on his face, making himlook younger. Aaron wished he could stay in bed with him all day, but there wasa nagging part of him that knew it would never work. He couldn’t have arelationship with an escort. It would ruin his reputation if it got out. Soinstead, he quietly picked up his clothes, grabbed something new to wear towork, and left £150 on the bedside table for Robert when he eventuallysurfaced.
ur a prick
i honestly thought imeant something to u
obviously not
Just a few of the many messages that Robert had left forAaron over the course of the day.
Aaron inwardly groaned, dropping his head onto his desk.
“What’s up smiler?” Josh asked, popping his head around thecorner at the sound.
Aaron looked up, tears welling in his eyes as he realisedhe’d fucked up.
“Oh that’s a bad look.” Josh so fantastically pointed out.“Break up?”
Aaron didn’t know what to say, so he just nodded. It was almost a break up, right? Itcertainly felt like one.
“Mate, just go home, or go and see him if it can be solved.”Josh advised. “You were great together, and we can run this place whilst you’regone.”
So Aaron did just that. He rang Robert up, left a missedcall asking him to meet Aaron at the coffee place around the corner fromAaron’s, and all he could do was hope and pray that it wasn’t too late.
Fourty-five minutes. A whole three quarters of an hour Aaronwas sat there, staring into space as he drank the last of his outrageouslypriced coffee. It was another five minutes before he decided that Robert wasn’tcoming, and so he handed his mug over to a waiter and walked out onto the coldstreet, wind blowing in his face.
“Not nice is it?” A voice shouted from over the road. “Beingleft?”
“Rob.” Aaron breathed out, the nickname something he hadn’tcalled Robert before, but in that moment, it just worked.
Aaron stepped closer, walking across the road so they couldactually speak rather than shout. “I’m sorry, okay? I’m so sorry foreverything.”
Robert’s eyes didn’t leave the floor, his hands balled upinto fists in his jacket pockets. “You shouldn’t have left me like that. Youwanted to have sex just as much as I did.”
“I know I did. And I’m sorry for leaving you, I didn’t wantto hurt you. I guess I didn’t want to hurt myself either.” He said honestly.“Remember that time we spoke about me not having a boyfriend?”
Aaron waited for Robert to nod before carrying on.
“I told you how I’d have feelings for people, but then pushthem away because I got scared. Well that’s what happened with us.” Aaron said.“I fell hard for you, but pushed you away bec-“
“Because of my job yeah, I get it.” Robert practically spat, getting ready to walk away, only to be dragged back by Aaron.
“Yes okay, because of your job.” Aaron said. “But also thefact that I’ve never had a boyfriend, never been in love and that thoughtterrifies me.”
Robert licked his dry lips before he spoke. “I would’ve stoppedfor you. Gone into a proper job, if me and you actually settled down.”
“And we still can.” Aaron responded seriously. “I want you.I reckon I have done since that first day.”
Robert’s arms wrapped around Aaron’s waist, both of them holdingon to each other now. “If you promise to not leave me like that again, I’ll leavethe firm today, come home with you.”
Aaron leaned forward, catching Roberts lips in a kiss, bothof them smirking into it, neither of them wanting to break apart, but they did.
“I promise.”

"No I'm not wearing that. I will kill you if you put that anywhere near me." Freezerburn my bud! (Cuz I'm a predictable hoe ahah)
*ding* Order up. (Late… but still fresh.)
Weiss scrunched up her nose, reaching into the box to touch a knit wool sweater, the garish yellow fabric visible amid the light blue tissue paper. While she expected her girlfriend of several years to go a bit overboard with the gifts this Christmas- she’d been far too much of a bouncing ball of energy in the preceding weeks for subtlety- she hadn’t expected it to this degree. A few material things- a new office chair for the home study, a heating blanket for when the woman was gone on missions, the latest scroll update chip- and the customary handmade gifts, like a new coffee cup with ‘World’s Coolest Ray of Sunshine’ printed in Yang’s distinct handwriting and a set of bracelet gauntlets in the same vein as Ember Celica, except cast in white and fitted to her slender wrists.
But here, she had to draw the line.
“Yang. What in Remnant is this disaster?” She didn’t even pull it fully out of the box; she absolutely detested wool sweaters, the sort of picture perfection they seemed to reflect. Matching family sweaters for a matching family- she’d grown up in that sort of dishonest illusion and the agony it brought. She’d never told Yang the full story, of course, never wanted to dive too deep in the eternal disappointment that was her upbringing, but she’d thought her tastes tending towards silk and satin would discourage anything in the realm of wool.
“It’s a sweater!” The blonde cheerily replied, a huge present sitting in her lap and her crossed arms resting atop it, light blue sleeves of her own sweater visible with the same garish yellow breaking up the solid color with little designs. “I made us matching ones. Try it on, Snowfall.”
“Absolutely not,” she replied, removing the box from her lap and setting it aside. “I’m not wearing that and I will kill you if you put it anywhere near me.”
Yang frowned, shoulders slumping. “But-”
“Look, I appreciate the sentiment, truly I do, but I can’t stand wool sweaters.” She got to her feet, wading through the sea of ripped wrapping paper so she could lean over and press a kiss to her girlfriend’s forehead. “I’m sorry, Sweetheart, but there’s no way you’re getting me into that thing, but yours fits you rather well. The colors are… certainly eye catching.”
“Well, yeah, I…” she paused, then shook her head. “So, there’s nothing I can do to get you to wear it to the party tonight?”
“You’d need a deal with the Devil, Maidens, and every deity from here to Mistral before I’d even consider it.” Weiss slipped a hand beneath the blonde’s chin and directed her into a kiss. “I’m sure you worked hard on it and I am impressed. I absolutely adore the time and care you put into these sorts of things.” She sighed. “But I can’t and won’t be wearing it.”
Yang looked absolutely crestfallen, with her shoulders slumped, and it pained her to be the cause, but certain lines wouldn’t be crossed. “Oh, okay. Well. I mean. I’m-”
“Don’t apologize,” she said, rubbing her thumbs along her girlfriend’s cheeks. “It’s a heartfelt gift, time consuming and thoughtful, but I absolutely refuse to touch wool again. It’s something to be mindful in the future, my little Sunspot, and I truly love that you did this for me.”
Her lips quirked up into a small grin, seemingly soothed for the moment. “Yeah, well… I’m gonna go check on the bird. It, uh, should be ready for basting, and I don’t wanna dry it out.”
“You’ve still a present to open though.” She gestured to the one in Yang’s lap.
“Oh, uh, I’ll get it when I get back.” The blonde stood, still holding the present in her arms and turning around to put it in her seat before heading towards the kitchen. “It’ll just take a few minutes.”
“Very well.” Weiss put her hands on her hips. “And while you’re gone, take your sweater off. I’d like to give you a hug when you get back.”
For a moment, Yang went stock still, turning back towards her with a question on her lips, but it went unvoiced. Instead, she merely nodded with a weak smile and slipped out.
But Weiss had caught a glimpse of something on the front of the sweater- letters in that garish yellow spelling out words- and her brows furrowed. She could’ve sworn she’d seen “I finally asked” written on the front of the sweater, which she hadn’t had a proper look at now that she thought of it; her girlfriend had slipped it on after they’d sat down to open presents and Yang had kept the big present- the latest gaming system bundle, something she’d expressed a significant amount of interest in- in her lap the whole while.
With a furrow to her brows, her gaze fell on the yellow sweater still inside the box and, though loathe as she was to touch the blasted fabric, found her curiosity winning out. Using the tissue paper as a buffer, she pulled the sweater out to find blue letters along the front of it.
“I said yes?”
And then she saw the little pouch just beneath the words, bulging a bit with something contained within it.
Weiss blinked, shoulders falling a little as the pieces fell together. Forgetting the paper for the moment, she dug into the pouch and pulled out a little velvet box, prying it open to find a gorgeous engagement ring inside.
The air fled from her lungs as tears came to her eyes, other hand dropping the sweater and going to cover her mouth.
“There, it should be finished cooking… by the… time… oh.” She looked up, gaze landing on Yang as she entered the room, bereft of the sweater and with a blush rising in her cheeks. “I… uh. Wow, this didn’t go like I planned. At all.”
“Well, I wouldn’t want to make a liar of you,” she said, voice watery as she offered a smile. “You can’t say you ‘finally’ asked if you haven’t yet.”
“… alright.” Smiling, the blonde came around to kneel down in front of her, using both of her hands to cup Weiss’ holding the ring box. “Weiss Schnee, these last few years have been the best of my life. For all the hardships we’ve faced, you’ve been by my side for every step of the way, and I absolutely love you with every little part of me. Will you marry me?”
“Yes,” she replied, launching herself forward and bowling Yang over in the process, pressing their lips together in a kiss that quickly became heated. “Yes, yes, yes.”
“Okay, I get it.” The blonde chuckled, looking up at her with all the adoration in the world. “And here I thought I was gonna have to come up with something else.”
“Oh, perish the thought.” Weiss smiled, glancing down at the ring box. “It’s a beautiful ring. Did you pick it out yourself?”
“I had a little help.” Yang took it from her hand. “Lemme just slip it- wait, what happened to your hand?”
She glanced down, noting the red rash appearing on her pale skin, a prelude to the horrible itching that would surely follow. “I’m allergic to wool. Have I really never mentioned that before?”
Horror passed over the blonde’s face. “No! No you didn’t! Weiss, I wouldn’t have made you a wool sweater if I knew you were allergic!”
“People forget things sometimes, Love; I just assumed I’d mentioned it at some point and you’d forgotten.”
“Well, you didn’t!” Yang slapped a hand to her face and groaned. “Damnit. No wonder you don’t want to wear the damn thing. I thought you somehow knew I was proposing!”
“How was I supposed to know?” Reaching over for the sweater, she quickly slipped her arms through it. “Really, Yang, as sweet as this is, a little warning might’ve been nice. I wouldn’t have dismissed anything outright if I’d suspected you’d be proposing on Christmas morning.”
“C’mon, it was supposed to be a surprise- wait, what are you doing, Weiss stop that.”
Too late; she’d already slipped it over her head, the sweat fitting rather snugly around her torso. “You wanted me to wear it to the party. I’m still a little critical of the color choices, I’ll admit, but it certainly will ensure everyone is aware that we’re now happily engaged.”
“You’re allergic to wool, you can’t wear that!”
“I can and I will.” Despite her rising discomfort, she leaned down for another kiss. “I’m truly sorry I never told you before. I… suppose it just never came up? My father used to force us to wear matching wool sweaters for Christmas parties at the company; it was absolute hell for me every year and it took weeks for the rashes to go away.”
Sighing, Yang laid her head back with a thud against the floorboards before looking at her. “Okay, here’s the new plan. Take off the sweater, I’m going to slather you in calimine lotion, and we’ll find a turtleneck for you to wear under the sweater for the party.”
“I’m only taking the sweater off if I can wear the ring.”
“Both of your hands are swelling.” The blonde reached up, taking off a plain gold chain she’d taken to wearing- a birthday present from Blake a few months back. Slipping the ring onto the chain, she reached up and put it around Weiss’ neck. “There. Does that meet the standards of our agreement?”
“Yes, I will accept this.” Weiss quickly pulled the sweater off, resisting the urge to begin scratching at the rising redness on her pale skin. “I’m lucky, you know.”
“How do you figure?”
She smiled, leaning down for another kiss. “I have a very thoughtful and sweet fiance. Tell me; what better Christmas present could I ever possibly receive?”
The twinkle she saw in lilac eyes at that… she didn’t know when or even how, but she realized all too late that she’d just set a goal for her beloved, and Yang Xiao Long, her future wife, would do everything in her power to attain it.
She rather looked forward to what the woman would come up with… as long as it didn’t involve fucking wool.
