hello! just wondering, could you rank bangel, cangel, fuffy, spangel and spuffy from fav to least fav? and a brief reason as to why you ship/or don't ship them? you just seem like a multishipper and i'm curious lol

it’s true i ship them all. it’s weird though with bangel and spuffy i don’t necessarily ship one more than the other or like one more over the other it just depends if i’m having feels whether or not I’ll be in full on bangel mode or a full on spuffy mode. it also depends if i’m watching the earlier seasons or later seasons. with that being said

bangel because their chemistry is off the charts. he is her first love and nothing will ever change that. i just feel like we get to see a different side of him when he’s with buffy compared to him being with someone else or alone if that makes sense?

spuffy because tbh i love their back and forth banter. they also work really well together, fighting evil wise. side by side, I’m here for it. I know they have their flaws and they are very toxic but i love my trash couples I can’t help it haha.

fuffy because THE SEXUAL TENSION. do i have to say more? is it needed?

spangel because like spuffy i enjoy their back and forth banter. it’s truly entertaining. there’s so much sexual tension between the two but i also love the bromance with angelus and spike. their flashbacks are what i live for.

cangel because he accepts her for who she is. the good, the bad all of it.

I saw an anti-Bangel post. It has been over a week and the post only has one like and that's it..

My Bangel-lovin heart just want to express this happiness with y'all...

Hmmmmmm....Becomes something she isn't??....if you're comparing with a 16-year old Buffy who's a TEENager to the 20-something WOMAN she eventually became, it's called growing up/maturing. She didn't became a great hero because Angel left her..she became a great hero because of everything she faced(the ugly and the good),the choices she made(both good and bad),the dying twice,the sacrifices she's made and the loves she's lost. Her experiences made her strong.

About loving all parts...after meeting Angelus and the whole trauma he put jer through,she still whole heartedly loves him so an argument can be made that she loves all parts of Angel too. But as a Bangel-shipper,I agree that I do not want Buffy to stay with Angel if he's Angelus. Buffy didn't actually got together with Spike until he got a soul. While he was evil with a chip,she didn't love him.

And if real love is staying, you really got to put it into context. He's immortal and she's not. Angel didn't leave because he didn't want to stay.He left because he couldn't offer her a future...he only wants the best for her and as heartbreaking as it was, at that point of time,he knew it wasn't him..Spike must have realized it at some point because he also didn't stay...

One thing is clear though...teenage-Buffy,woman-Buffy, confused-Buffy, single-Buffy,Riley-dating-Buffy, even sleeping-with-Spike-Buffy still loves Angel more than anything in her life..Time will pass,seasons will change,she will grow and change but her love for Angel doesn't waver and that my friends is TRUE LOVE...

I’VE BEEN THINKING PEOPLE ALWAYS REMEMBER AND LOVE THEIR FIRST LOVE AND CLING TO THEM BUT DISMISS THOSE WHO LOVE ALL OF THEM, IS IT BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THEIR NOT GOOD ENOUGH OR SIMPLY JUST NOT SEEING THE OTHER THAT IS RIGHT FOR THEM AND RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM.

WE IDOLIZE A VERSION OF SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THE INFATUATION IS STRONGER THAN OUR MINDS ARE JUST SEEING WHAT WE WANT NOT WHAT WE NEED 

THAT’S BEEN MY BIGGEST DEBATE WITH THE BANGEL VS SPIKE BECAUSE BOTH SPIKE AND BUFFY IDOLIZE THEIR FIRST LOVES THAT ARE BAD FOR THEM AND BRING OUT THE WORST BUT SINCE THEIR VERSIONS OF THEM ARE SO IDOLIZED THEY TURN AGAINST EVERYTHING THEY ARE.

MAYBE THE REASON I’M SO AGAINST BANGEL WITH ALL THE SHIPS IS BECAUSE MY HERO BECOMES SOMETHING SHE ISN’T SHE NEVER SHE BELIEVES SHE’S STRONG UNTIL HE IS GONE AND LEARNS TO BE A GREAT HERO AND NOT LOSE HERSELF SHE IS BETTER WITHOUT HIM AND SPIKE HELPS HER BECOME THAT, JUST LIKE SHE HELPS HIM BECOME WHAT HE USED TO BE.

THEY BRING OUT THE BEST IN EACH OTHER BUT IT TAKES TIME BECAUSE THEY ARE SO NUMB FROM PAST RELATIONSHIPS THEY FORGOT HOW TO LOVE UNTIL THEY REALIZE WHAT’S RIGHT IS THEM 

LOVE IS PAINFUL AND SEEING SOMEONE FOR ALL THEIR FLAWS IS NEVER EASY BUT REAL LOVE SHOWS YOU SEEING SOMEONE ALL OF THEM AND STAYING IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL

YAAAASSS!!!...this is one of the issues I have with Spuffies...They always argue that Spike did more for Buffy...got a soul for her bla bla bla...my response is always 'So the hell what??'..

Did Buffy asked him to do that??..No..

Was she obligated to love him back because of that??..HECK NO!..

If Angel's curse was not an issue,will Spike ever stand a chance??...A world of NO...

If Buffy had a choice and circumstances were slightly kind,it was,is and always will be Angel..

I was wandering on Twitter & saw a few Spuffies saying...well the usual Spike&Buffy > Angel (blablabla) but I got stuck on this: "Angel took Buffy for granted. [...] Spike loved her without hesitation until death"... What do you think about this? Because 1) I don't get the part about Angel & 2) it doesn't sound like Spike at all to me (with or without a soul, I don't see much difference anyway). I get that points of view differ but it looks like we don't watch the same shows at all!

I often think that people watched an entirely different show! But I think as you say, it really comes down to the perspective of the viewer (although I will argue some things are objectively true… but … anyway). 

With regards to the first point, did Angel take Buffy for granted? That is, did he fail to fully appreciate her or underestimate her importance? I think this goes in the column of one of those things that are objectively not supported by canon. Buffy is so important to Angel that he:

1. Decides to get his ass off of the alley and join the fight for good, to help her in her mission.

2. He kills his sire, who was his former lover/companion of a hundred years in order to save Buffy.

3. When he realizes he is being used as bait for Buffy in WML he tries to coax Spike into killing him rather than put Buffy in more danger. 

4. When he realizes that The First is manipulating him into trying to hurt Buffy, praying on his weaknesses, he decides that he would sooner meet the sun than hurt her. 

5. When he feels that he cannot provide the normalcy in life that Buffy longs for and deserves (and that her mother thinks she should have) he leaves the only friend he has had in over a century, and the only woman he has ever loved in over two centuries, so that she may find happiness.

6. When he is granted his humanity, something that Angel has longed for, he gives it up in exchange for Buffy’s life. 

(These are just some examples).

So, I fail to see how anyone could objectively find that Angel has taken Buffy for granted. He has continuously done what he thought was best for her even if it was to his own detriment. Now, I’ll give you that any given audience member may not have agreed with some of the same things that Angel did when it came to his and Buffy’s relationship. Maybe you disagreed on his decision to leave her or his decision to give back his humanity. But from Angel’s perspective, these are all actions he took because of his deep love for Buffy. And so if you bother to see it from Angel’s perspective, you would see that he does all of these things because he thinks Buffy is just that important. This is just precisely what Angel does for the people he loves the most, he feels that him being a part of their life is detrimental to them and so he leaves them. (See also, Connor).

With regards to Spike’s love of Buffy, I actually don’t necessarily disagree with the general opinion that Spike loved her without hesitation until her death. However, I don’t think that Spike, without a soul, can truly love. I find support for that theory based on what we get from canon: Angel after he is ensouled saying it, Darla after she is influenced by Connor’s soul saying it, and Spike (in the comics) after he has his soul saying it. Without a soul, you cannot love - it’s a bastardization of love. But, I do buy the fact that Spike-without-a-soul felt like he was in love because without a soul he didn’t have the ability to see that what he felt was more akin to a need to possess. (This is not an excuse for his actions mind you, believe me, I take great issue with those but this is simply how I see it, again, from SPIKE’s perspective). But once he regains his soul, it’s pretty clear that Spike loves Buffy and would go to the end of the world for her.

But, and here is the clincher, the great lengths a man (or woman or person etc) may go to in order to prove or show their love, does not obligate you to return that love. Ever. And so the question, in my mind, should not be which man has properly demonstrated they love Buffy but what we should really be asking is, who does Buffy want to be with?

I had a anon question about my muses and I deleted by accident so I'll answer here and break down my muses.

John Cena (My Main, Bisexual...maybe borderlined Pansexual. Let's be real my John is a complete whore. Such a sucker for crackships but I'm picky with females to mix with my John. I have to say Chemistry plays a huge part in that. That goes with males too. Love to build friendships and I kinda miss having a family member for John. Um don't have to stick as a wrestler or actor in rping could completely switch up.)

Anthony (My OC face claim is David Boreanaz. I'm a HUGE fan of the Buffy series and Angel series. Yes I'm a Bangel trash but I also love David in Bones. As that being said he..slightly Bisexual. I mean I wanted to keep as a ladies man but no luck with ladies...unless I get a Sasha Banks rper because Sasha and Anthony was a fun pairing I did with a very awesome friend of mine. Right now he is in a serious relationship with Jayden a male character. I wouldn't turn down any males but again chemistry plays huge here.)

Tommy (OC face claim Jason David Frank. I loved Power Rangers as a kid. Who wasn't a fan of Tommy? He was the coolest Ranger ever. Sadly fellas he is a strict ladies man. I mean him and Kimberly are still my otp. Still to this day, in my world, the character Emma on I think PR Megaforce is Tommy and Kim's daughter. The clues are there when she said her mom plays the guitar and loves gardening...Kim...and she would sing songs to her dad...that episode when Kin wrote that song for Tommy...I mean come on! I'm rambling...so yeah just because of Tomberly yeah..)

Zack Ryder ( Now Zack is strictly for the dudes. I mean I'm sorry but he just is. Unless an Eve Torres comes around then that would be an exception but at last chemistry with that Eve tho. Other than that...Zack is all about dudes only.)

I also have a Cody Rhodes but since I have no computer, he is on lock down.

You know I think I tried to like Riley, but I couldn't stand him. It's not even bc I'm team Bangel. He's an insecure man and I never like how he treated Buffy.

Pretty damn much. He was so insecure he almost killed himself instead of getting life saving surgery that would have also made him a normal soldier instead of super strong one because he figured Buffy would leave him. Or the time he thought he was a great guy because he wouldn’t force himself on Buffy. He’s trash. I am strongly anti-Riley.

Hi, can you or maybe other Spike fans who follow you help me find some of those posts that listed reasons why some prefer Spike to Angel? Some of them were because Bangel was so sudden, because Spike chose to get a soul while Angel was forced to, because pre-vamp Spike was a better person at his core than Angel, and some more I can't remember. I'm not anti Angel but do prefer Spuffy so I would appreciate your help so much finding those posts or even coming up with other reasons. Thank you!

Hi, Anon! Thanks for the message. I’m not really sure what you’re asking me for - I’m sorta new to Buffy fandom as far as Tumblr goes myself, so I’m not sure about other people’s reasons for preferring Spuffy. I’ve pretty much just focused on my own arguments for what I like, and they’re rooted in basic TV criticism and close reading of the show. I know I’ve found a lot of great stuff - and some of my new friends in the fandom! - by searching the #spuffy hashtag here on Tumblr; maybe that’s a way you can connect with some other like-minded people who’ve made similar arguments? Also, it seems to me you expressed your reasons quite well yourself in the above message! :) I’m not really anti-Bangel, either; it’s just that it never really did anything for me, and when you consider that she was 15 when he met her and the feels were developing...ew. Someone else’s mileage may vary, though (and obviously it does, because the ship still has a loyal following), so I am happy to let them have it, especially if they don’t have to trash on Spuffy in order to justify or enjoy Bangel.Thanks again!
