please read below for more information on the details of her being here; i've taken some creative liberty to work her into the occasion as more than just her attending a festival out of curiosity, to provide more potential avenues for interaction!

— it wouldn't be furina if we didn't start with the look. due to her reason for being here, she had a custom tailor, working together with liyuean fashion consultants, put together an attire in which she'll be seen in all public capacities at lantern rite. it's a marriage between liyuean and fontainean designs, and, as furina has heard that it is considered the year of the dragon, has many dragon patterns and motifs inked and embroidered throughout. she also has her hair done up ( its in its long pneuma look ) in a french bun with a few curled loose locks in front, and a gold hairpiece also in the shape of a dragon

— speaking of the reason she's here: furina is preparing for a new production that's made its way through fontaine's social buzz. it's a well-known liyuean opera that's reached international popularity due to a recent manhwa adaptation that took bookstores across teyvat by storm, titled grove of wild boars. fontaine is putting together their own stage adaptation, and furina is serving as a consultant to the director, who, while talented, is still young and inexperienced with the industry. she's here with most of the production crew mostly on research, and the timing just happened to line up with lantern rite. so why not enjoy both!

Life update: I have been REALLY GOING THROUGH IT GODDAMN 😭

1. Saw Taemin in concert, that was dope

2. Bsf got a promise ring from her bf which now means my stereotypical first lesbian situationship with best friend is finally over 🥳 the tension that was once there for YEARS is now gone and I feel light but...

3. So it started 2 weeks ago, I had been interacting with my twt oomfs and realised 3 of them have a similar name, so ofc for funsies I made a list with just the 3 of them and put notifications on for all 3 just cuz I liked interacting with them, no biggie! Right?

Well... then they started flirting with eachother under each other's posts and replies which I could see all of and I also joined in, cuz flirting is fun. Then the flirting started getting serious and shit... And I'm like damn, I'm starting to feel a bit left out 😢 THEN in the middle of the taemin concert on Tuesday during a short break I saw the notification...

One of them claimed the other 2 as their wife and husband and I'm like oooh so i can't tell if they're joking or if they're legit in a relationship... Hahaaaa let me leave a joking comment asking them not to forget me (which they answer to saying they won't)

Then in the following days their notifs started harassing me... The flirting, so much flirting, and that point I realised oh shit I really like all 3 even if it's just platonic and not romantic, I just wanna be a part of their polycule 😭

Then they start to post screenshots from a group chat and a discord server with just the 3 of them, so at this point I'm feeling alienated and I don't even have the guts to flirt with any of them anymore. And I kinda lose my shit on my priv account (I am very dramatic) I even post something about being depressed on my main and one of them responds comforting me 😭😭😭 and I'm like goddamn you don't even know this play is about you 💔

The flirting continues and slowly I start seeing more "I love you"s in the notifs and I'm like, Oh. They're actually in a relationship aren't they, well shit. Now I feel like I'm butting in where I don't belong but I still like all of them and still want to interact with them so I keep their notifications on.

Then I stupidly make the mistake of mentioning on main that I have a priv and one of them replies asking to become moots on each other's privs... Well ofc I accept, but not before deleting every single twt I made about them, then another one makes a priv and I'm like sure fuck it, I'll add them to my priv too, so now I can't vent on my priv without outright saying what I'm talking about (I have to be vague and shit) so I'm venting here instead :D

Now I'm getting to the point where idk how much more of this I can take, I'll be waiting until the end of this week to decide if I turn off their notifs or not 😭

This keeps reminding me of situations that I've ended up in with my bsf like... Sighhh I wanna vent about it but I don't wanna air out her business so now I feel a bit stuck (I should write some songs) anyways there are many similarities to situations I've been in the past 🥲

I always end up stuck as an outsider trying to get in to another's relationship, or atleast it's feels like it, it never happens but I just crave to be apart of it but ik thats impossible for me. I just can't help but think I'll never be good enough for that and I'm never worth being someone's priority, so I stick to the sidelines, just watching as my heart cracks every time I witness a scene. So. I mentioned in the tags of one of my first posts back that I had to announce a few things that'd probably lose me some followers, but like I don't blame anyone if you do skedaddle because I know most of you are here for the monkie (totally understandable tho)

That being said I am no longer hyperfixated on jttw/Sun Wukong and that likely won't happen again for a while cause main the thing that caused me to clock out for so long kinda left a bad taste in my brain. However I will eventually come back to it. I can guarantee that. It just won't be for a hot minute (maybe who knows I can't control my brain lol)

As for the 10 billion asks I have in my inbox rn I'll be taking screen shots of the ones that have to do with monkie and such and putting them in a folder so that when I DO get back into jttw I'll just immediately start with those. So yeah if you sent me a really long ask FEAR NOT!😃 for I refuse to get rid of any of them 🥰

With that information tho, I never really intended for this to be just a monkie blog that's just what my hyperfixation had been on since I started. But I also tried to force that hyperfixation to stay way longer than I should have so that I could keep making content that my followers would like which is a part of the reason why I needed a break for so long. I wore myself out, and I needed to convince myself that it was okay for me to make content that makes me happy too. 😌

Tho unfortunately that does mean all my current projects will be on hold and I'll be updating the titles on ao3 soon to On Hiatus. 😔

Hello hai!!!!! It's nicee seeing you in my ask box;;; I'll take this opportunity to tell you I love your work but I was always too shy to interact LOL

Ofc!!! Justice doesn't operate the same way as the common nutcracker. It prefers a calmer approach, choosing to just frighten the employees rathen than straight up killing them on sight;; if you're being really annoying the most it'd do is firing a warning shot.

Sadly, if you're first to attack it (like, a shovel slash), Justice will begrudgingly have to teach you a lesson; that means shooting you in a non-lethal place to defend itself, or a slight kick to knock you away.

These things really only apply to humans, as it won't have any trouble with other entities. The need to defend its master (and mostly, not kill any humans) is hard coded into its system.

Also yes! If you aren't approaching it like a madman, it would probably hug you without any trouble. Justice loves hugs!

And about its realtionship with other nutcrackers: I think the others would probably deem it too weak based on its incapability to take on employees and want to stay out of trouble. Sadly, it is kind of a doormat without anyone to serve :(

And you're pretty close!! It's actually a Lee-Enfield number 4, mk. 1 rifle! There's not really any reasoning behind it other than I think the rifle is cool (I would love to own one for collecting purposes lol)

And it was manufactured with Justice! Since Justice is more of a show-offy model used for staying inside, the double barrel would not look as graceful. The rifle is also more accurate used at a long range distance, perfect for warding off any trespassers before they got too close.

It is able to use the bolt-action rifle quickly, the movement already being second nature to Justice.

However I do ask for a little bit of substance, like a plot to follow or an idea/prompt. It's already hard enough whacking my brain for ideas, id love to see your guy's scenarios, and I'd love to bring them to life!

I also agree you should go for the branch you are thinking of including. Personally, I doubt I'll ever see it in game, since my MC (his name is Trent) is way too nice and way too in love with Flo to even get to the situation. That said, I'm all for it.

The warning proposed by the other anon also makes a lot of sense. I'm not someone who read trigger warnings often, but I know it would be useful for the people who do.

If anything, more than being worried about the warnings, I'm curious how you'll get to a point where MC could do such a thing. Now, I've seen some mean and not so good natured choices in game. And maybe it's just me being too nice while playing. But I don't really see how MC could get to the point of doing what you want to include in game. Maybe it's because we're more or less still in the earliest parts of the story (I imagine, I'm not sure how many chapters you are planning to write), but we've not be able to do anything as dark as what you are planning. So, for me at least, I see the biggest challenge is to get to that point. A part of me would like to propose the idea of MC getting to do such a thing because the supernatural corrupts the minds of the people at the camp, so their moral decision making begins to fail. But that's actually a way of coddling the player if anything. It makes them less responsible for deciding to commit such an act, as well as taking some of their agency, and that to me means the story is weaker. And it would be antithetical to the spirit of IFs as a whole (where our choices are meant to truly change the story and the characters we interact with). Also, horror is way more interesting when it comes not only from the supernatural, but from within. Since the latter is the one kind of horrying truth you'll one day may able to find in your life...

Returning to the topic topic; the only caveat I'm able to see, if looking hard for one, when it comes to include the path you're planning, is that while the game is horror... Well, children are still very present in the story. So maybe some people may feel it doesn't fit to include such a path as the one we're discussing. On the other hand, I very much doubt you'll make the children be involved with it. So far they don't even help romancing any of the RO's, so the whole path you are planning seems so removed from them no one would ever connect them unless they are reading the IF in bad faith.

Overall, I think you should include it. As long as you think it fits with the story.

Also, it makes me wonder if something of that sort has occurred to you for the other ROs? Maybe not as cruel. But something with major consequences, either for the RO (as a victim of MC), MC (as the responsible for the bad thing, getting their comeuppance), or both the RO and MC at the same time.

Woah there's a long ask! Thanks so much for your input; I'll try to pick up on everything.

Firstly, I wish Trent and Flo all the best, and yes, MCs who aren't romancing Sawyer won't be presented with this option. And nice MCs are ofc simply not gonna choose it so you hit the nail on the head there. There's definitely gonna be a warning for it (there will be for many things as the story goes on).

As for how MC would get there; never you worry about that. I already have that section well planned out, and it's going to come up kind of soon in the story, too. Not in Chapter 6 but from what it looks like, probably around Chapter 7 already. I won't go into too much detail since that'd be very spoilery, but I've already outlined how exactly it's gonna happen, and don't worry, it'll be the MC's very own authentic decision. Uninfluenced by any camp horrors whatsoever. I totally agree with what you wrote when it comes to MC having their mind corrupted. Also, outside influence isn't really necessary when it comes to stuff like this, after all, people take advantage of one another irl and while they're sane of mind often enough. Sad as it is.

And NO the children are not involved with ANY of that. There will be absolutely no kids around when this path happens, none of them will witness the conversation with Sawyer where MC can make this choice, nope nope nope. Don't worry, the little ones are gonna remain far removed from this.

Yes, I think I will end up including this--- Everyone so far has advised me to do it and I must say, I agree. I had my doubts bc I'm not used to writing such a blatantly self-serving MC. But I wanna make this IF have choices that count, and I want that to include choices that I myself wouldn't pick.

That's a good question at the end there. I certainly have some... vague... ideas for the other paths such as this one. But they would all happen later on in the game bc the other ROs aren't in the position Sawyer is in. They're "special" as an RO for reasons that'll become obvious. Also, the other ROs simply aren't as vulnerable as Sawyer, and not in the same ways, so it's difficult. But yes, I do plan to give MC the option to turn their back on all of them in one way or another. It's just further away than with Sawyer so I don't know how yet, exactly.

Apollo is worried.

Meg asked him to deliver the invites for this year's Halloween party to all of their friends, and he thought it would take two, maybe five seconds to visit everyone. He was wrong.

Now that he's a god again, he's able to visit everyone at the same time, but since we don't have the power to read all of the interactions at once, let's start with the ones at Camp Jupiter.

Apollo—dressed as Lester—knocked on Hazel's front door and waited. Now, time's a bit funky when you're a god, so he could be wrong, but he kind of felt like it took way too long for Hazel to show up and open up.

When she did, she looked like she'd spent the whole month hybernating.

"Lester," her expression changed right away, and she tried to reach for her sword except she didn't have it at the moment. "What is it? What happened?"

"Greetings, Praetor!" Lester smiled, handing her a bright orange envelope. "You are cordially invited to Meg's Halloween party! Costumes required, drinks are optional."

Hazel blinked, her mouth forming a silent "O" when he explained the reason of his visit.

"Anyway, the invite's for you and Frank, obviously, we're not wasting paper if you guys are coming together anyway," Lester paused and studied her looks. "You okay?"

"Y-Yeah!" She fixed her posture. "Sorry, I was taking a nap so..."

"Got it, got it," Lester grinned. "Well, see you at the party!"

Hazel tried not to look as freaked out as she felt, she nodded and smiled. "Sure! See ya!"

Next up was Jason. He opened right away, but he looked just as tired as Hazel. When he saw Lester at the doorway he frowned.

"This is the worst kind of deja vu," he muttered.

"Good to see you too!" Lester replied happily, though he was starting to sense that something wasn't quite right with his friends. He handed Jason the envelope. "Party at Meg's, costumes, food, you know the drill."

Jason took the invitation and stared at it for a little too long, Lester cleared his throat to get his attention.

"Have we misspelled Jason, or...?"

The boy shook his head and tried for a smile, but he was a terrible liar. "No it's fine, I was er... just thinking about some stuff I gotta do before I leave for the party."

"Busy man, aren't you, little brother?" Lester patted his shoulder proudly.

"Please don't ever call me that."

"I'll think about it," He winked at him.

Since Grover offered to take the invite to Percy and Annabeth the last time he'd visited Meg, Lester's next visit was to Piper.

This time he made sure not to show up at an inconvenient time, which meant he showed up when she was just coming back from her last class of the day.

Piper was so done with everything that she didn't even panic when she spotted Lester on her bed. She nudge him to the side and fell face-first on the mattress.

"What?" She asked against her pillow.

Lester looked at her with worry. "Am I missing something? All of you look really tired, is there a new war going on?"

"Yeah, it's called midterms," Piper groaned. "Why are you visiting us?"

Lester placed her invitation on the pillow. "Halloween is this weekend."

The girl lifted herself up abruptly and seized the envelope. "Crap," she stated.

Lester started to feel anxious. Had everyone forgotten? They weren't thinking about ditching Meg's party, right? That would suck.

"I take that none of you remembered?"

Piper's face was easy to read. "No, no! Don't worry, I'll be there."

Lester didn't want to pressure anyone, but he also didn't want Meg to get hurt. "Well, if you need any help you can call anytime."

Piper smiled and placed the invitation on her nightstand. "Thanks, man."

"Yeah," he got up to leave. "Take your nap."

Leo was the only one so far that looked the same as always. He was fixing a bike on the rooftop of the waystation, and when Lester showed up, he seemed happy to see him.

"Hey, man!" The young man got up and grabbed a dirty cloth to sort of clean up before shaking Lester's hand. "What's up?"

"Halloween party at Meg's," Lester handed him his invite.

"Oh, right!" Leo seized the envelope and read it briefly. "Cool, yeah," he looked up and smiled. "You guys need help with the decorations or something?"

"Nah, the dryads and satyrs took over," Lester said.

Leo raised a brow. "Really? And they did a good job?"

"Hey, don't use that haughty tone, they are experts at parties!"

"Alright, fine!" Leo raised his hands in surrender. "Well, yeah I'll be there. You told everyone else yet?"

"Yeah, I'm on it," Lester tilted his head, paying attention to the other interactions. "They don't seem excited this year."

Leo grinned knowingly. Truth be told, he was freaking out a little as well, but he was good at hiding that sort of stuff. Time had gone by way too fast this year, he hadn't even realized it was October.

"We're all adults now, man, stuff get in the way, but we'll be there no matter what."

"Yeah," Lester sighed, humans had the bad habit of aging too quickly.

Nico and Y/N were a whole other story. They were together on the rec room, and when Lester showed up Nico welcomed him with a crooked smile.

"About time! We were starting to wonder if Meg had forgotten."

Lester pulled out the two orange invitations and smiled. "Never!"

"Nice!" Y/N examined the piece of paper with excitement. "Can't wait! It took Cal like a whole week to finish my costume, it's gonna be amazing."

"Meg said she was cool with me summoning a few ghosts to act as waiters for her party," Nico grinned, pushing the letter on his pocket. "It's going to be awesome."

"Are you taking the cocoa puffs with you?" Y/N asked with curiosity.

"Of course," Nico snorted. "Already have their costumes planned out."

"Aww, that's cute," Lester beamed. "I'm glad you two didn't forget, everyone else seems... sort of dead."

Y/N frowned. "What do you mean?"

Lester shrugged. "Doesn't look like they're feeling it this year, Piper mentioned some midterms, whatever that means..."

Nico and Y/N shared a look, but whatever they were thinking, they didn't mention it to Lester.

"You probably caught them in a bad moment," Nico brushed it off.

"Yeah, we'll be having our monthly meeting tomorrow, I'm sure everyone will want to talk about how excited they are about the party."

Lester cheered up at this. "Yeah, that's probably it! Well, see you guys this weekend!"

"Bye, Lester!"

"See you."

The god vanished and left the two demigods alone. Y/N looked at Nico and scowled.

"They definitely forgot."

"Definitely," Nico smirked and fell back on the couch, eating a fistful of popcorn. "Can't wait for tomorrow's meeting."

Hello there! This ask literally made me so excited you have no idea, somethings I've been really meaning to talk about!

1. So, I LOVE humans. I love interacting with them. Even if they feel so different from me, even knowing they understand me as little as I understand them. Specifically in an angelic way, I feel very protective of them and small incredibly mundane interactions make my heart just. Explode. I have had more than my fairshare of terrible experiences with humans, but well. That's humanity's whole point. Sometimes it's cruel, unbearably awfully cruel. And in equal amounts its wonderful and beautiful. My favourite thing about them really is just small mundane interactions though. A short conversation with a stranger. Group experiences both positive and negative, like leaving a movie theater in the middle of a crowd and hearing people discussing the film. Or everyone waiting at a bus stop turning to each other to complain about how its never on time. A small child in a public place who's just saying hi to everyone who passes their field of vision. God, humans are just precious to me. I'm a messenger, after all. Earth is as much my home as heaven. Humanity is my job, my life. And I'll take the awful to experience the good.

2. I'm still learning what my form truly looks like, as it blurring with my primary alien form (and influence from other system members at times) can make the traits hard to pick out, but in general its very standard humanoid with wings. My wings are a little smaller than the standard depiction however, and I have a lion like tail. Long and thin with a puff of fur at the end. And a halo like the depictions in classical artwork, a bright radiating light behind my head.

3. They are as similar as they are separate. Don't worry, I'm going to explain that vague pretentious statement lol. There's so much about them that's linked, like two parallel lives being lived at once. That feeling of being beyond earth, a certain homesickness and comfort looking up at the sky. They both love humans and find them fascinating. On a physical level, they do blend together somewhat. And (I won't go into all the lore of my alien species. Star.trek is my source, if you look my name up on a wiki or something like that you can find info. Those memories can still feel quite sensitive to talk about for me) there's a massive connection between both of them in terms of feelings of strong devotion and a relationship to serving under said devotion. I have been referring to them as parallel lives when I think about them, that's really the best way to describe it. They are separate lives, but lived at once. And they mirror each other despite their separation

I love him so many but I think an underappreciated thing is how he rags on people- sending a flute with Dax to give to O'Brien while he's dealing with a vole infestation, sitting in Worf's seat and for a beat just looking at him like he's not gonna get up, taking a moment to tease Garak about how he hides things (he actually does that a few times, the one everyone remembers is is Camp 371 of course, but he also takes Garak's eye piece from him in Cardassians and incredously asks if he takes that with him everywhere).

I have said this recently but like- Julian is a soldier. He's kind, and gentle, and compassionate, but he has an inclination to get physical, he's very stubborn, and he doesn't look kindly on any dereliction of duty- including if a scared man shoots himself in the foot because he doesn't want to die in battle. Hell, he understands what duty is. He's had to kill before regardless of enthusiasm (and he's not really sadistic ofc, but Sloan does bring out a deep and justified loathing in him).

I am one of g-d's bravest soldiers for writing Julian pussy content where cis people can see it. (I do have many cisgendered friends who aren't weird about this and who I love talking to about trans Julian but I have had some WEIRD comments about it).

Lets scoot the obvious one out of frame for just a moment. I do really like when he interacts with Kira and I wish we'd gotten more of them once they were used to each other and she didn't mostly regard him as annoying. They're both the same age iirc, and not the way Dax is where she's technically a 5000 year old dragon or however that joke goes, and I feel like there's a lot of potential there.

I did say Kira and I'll expand by saying I really do dislike that one of the episodes they do interact in that's significant to their relationship is a mirrorverse episode. I did not like DS9's foray into those and most of them I either watched halfway through and got bored, or i didn't bother trying to watch at all. I also wish we got a little more of him with Sisko- I do love Past Tense but it makes me a little sad when you get one story in a series that's got a lot of two main cast characters interacting. Also Odo, I think that would be interesting.

He and Jake keep in touch regardless of where they end up after the series is over. We don't get to see them interacting much, but he did help inspire Jake to write in the first place iirc, and Jake picked him to interview early on in his wroting career, so I think they have a rapport.

Silly rant under the cut.

I hate having RP ADHD, bro. Like ofc I have ADHD Irl and I'm Acousting as all hell but that's aside the general point. I made this blog to take a break from Doctor Who, only to find that this blog, while extremely fun, is also EXTREMELY LIMITING. I've only got a few things I can write, and I think that I realized that SUPER EASILY. Especially since, through this blog, I've become mutual with people I wasn't mutual with before, which reignited new plot ideas. So now, all of a sudden, despite being absent... the musing for my doctor who blog is BACK. Which means that it seems like all I wanted to do was new stuff.

I don't know if I want to go back to my Doctor Who blog. I will 100% remake it if I do, but I just don't know if I want to give it another shot. I've added a lot more incarnations/verses for interaction, and there are a few mutuals and muses on my dash that I would LOVE to throw The Doctor at, but the problem is that I'm simply just afraid that I'll put a ton of work into them all over again and yield the same result. It's very hard to be a roleplayer without any icons, mostly because people really like visuals. Not to be pointed or come off as hostile, but some people in the RPC are JUST here for the shipping and the smut, and honestly?? That kind of bugs me.

I've seen people who I've been mutuals with before, people who have drip fed me content over the span of months—give some of my other mutuals MORE ACTIVITY in a day than they've given me in months, simply because that mutual has a pretty face claim to thirst over. No disrespect to my mutuals either, I love my friends and I love everyone who I roleplay with— but the people who are only here for shipping kinda gross me out, because it creates this idea in the RPC that you're never going to be able to get those meaningful connections because you're not visual only. It creates anxiety in me, too.

What if I spend all that time and energy remaking a blog only to yield the same results? I hear you ask "Why not just make icons?" And my immediate response is that "I can't." Because the designs I have made for my character are so unique to my idea of them, having to pick out a face claim that's only slightly off would be just enough for me to feel a disassociation with my own character. It would be fake, and I would hate using them because they're not the face I designed, and commissioned. In that same vein, If I don't use icons— I feel alienated. I can't participate in meaningful dash commentary or any sort of "crack" threads, because without an icon— it just seems like "a serious response" to a lighthearted post.

It's also a mix of not being sure that I want to go through the trouble of trying to form connections with people who won't give me the effort in return. Roleplaying is a two-way street, and sometimes I like to pour a lot of energy into a connection or a thread that I enjoy. Sometimes, I meet mutuals who only give me the time of day once and then lead me on for weeks on end because they don't have the backbone to tell me they aren't interested anymore. This seems really hostile, but picture yourself in my shoes for a moment. You're plotting out a ship in dm's and the other partner gets really excited, so you make a discord server to start talking it out... and then that partner goes MIA, pretty much ghosting you— despite their glaringly obvious activity on Dash. You start to ask questions, and they give you half-hearted excuses and an endless stream of apologies with promises to do better, only to repeat the same behavior. That's kind of what I'm worried about, and I know the way I phrase it makes me sound kind of icky, but I'm a guy who can be satisfied with as little as one-liner crack banter and headcanon conversations. So when I'm given radio silence despite you exclaiming interest in my muses and plots, it creates this whiplash of emotions that make me feel inadequate and someone you keep on a back burner for content.

I think it's a matter of curating my circles easier, but it's also just general content anxiety. Do I want to revive my OC blog? Yes, extremely. Am I worried that the same issues that caused me to get frustrated and burnt out would repeat themselves? Yes, extremely.

This is all really just lighthearted. I'm not really nettled about the things I've dumped about on here. I just have lingering thoughts that I need to scream out into the void.

i just wanted to put something out there based on some things i've been seeing recently. nothing bad per say, but i do want to clarify some points about myself, my blog, and interacting with me

don't ever feel like you have to water down your muses in any capacity to write with me. i literally do not care how cruel or how kind your muse is. typically when i do make the leap to follow someone first, i'll always comb through their pages to get a feel of the character(s) they portray. i may not remember everything as i tend to be pretty forgetful, but if i like what i see, then i go ahead and hit the follow button

no matter if your muse is the meanest, nastiest bitch alive or the sweetest flower picked in the flower field, i want you to be comfortable knowing you can write them according to how you view them. i will never take it as a personal slight against me, the writer. that's just silly. the only thing i ask is if you inform me ahead of time if you muse intends to harm/kill mine in some way, just so i'm prepared! i have my own fair share of muses on here with less than tolerable personalities to them and i always discuss ahead of time if something like that is going to happen ( a good example is w/ my friend East, where we agreed on Liu Qingge hitting Ren in a fit of anger ). as long as i know ahead of time, i'm a-ok with it

furthermore, don't feel bad about playing favourites. in my opinion, it doesn't make you elitist. it's a hot take fresh off my pathetic little oven but in my eyes, we're all human. we're prone to having people we might incline a little more toward than others, even unintentionally. it's virtually impossible to consistently write with && talk to a huge amount of people all the time. like, that's mentally draining. i genuinely admire the people who CAN do that and there's nothing wrong with it.

and, speaking from the point of an AuDHD person, sometimes hyperfixations on a certain show/book/movie/etc. can arouse a higher muse inspiration for a character than other's.

i'm REALLY bad at wording things so i hope my intentions are coming across okay? i've seen a lot of people apologizing for writing more frequently with someone than others, but honestly i don't think you should apologize for something like that. if you write with / talk to someone a lot, it makes sense that you might answer their threads faster than you would other's. because you've got that connection and that friendship. like... how do i word it? i'm so bad at conveying my thoughts lol

like. for example i'm fully aware i write a LOT for both Ven and East regularly, but i also talk to them almost daily, and am currently very heavy into both the danmei genre, and HSR. i read daily, and i'm playing the game daily, so ofc my inspiration is a little higher for what i'm currently invested in. even though i do this, i still very much love the other threads i have going with other people, and make a conscious effort to still answer them in an appropriate time frame. my excitement && interest in writing with other people definitely isn't diminished, i just have a habit of writing quicker for them since we're always bantering in discord. and i see a lot of the same for people on my dash too

i will never mind waiting for when inspiration hits someone i'm writing with. even if it takes you seven months to reply, i'm genuinely just happy to be writing with you. if you'd rather reply to someone else over me and save it for later? that's ok!

ultimately, it's your blog and you are in control of your own comfort and writing. you should feel comfortable answering what you want, when you want, without feeling pressured or guilted for not answering something fast enough. if someone is making you feel bad for prioritizing one person over another, then they aren't a good friend. period. i've been in the RPC for 15 years and been through my fair share of friendships, and if i can impart any piece of advice on anyone, it's that you should always curate your space.

do what makes you happy. be with people who make you happy. don't cling to something that only makes you unhappy, it'll just damage you in the long run. i know maybe that makes me sound like an ass, but i can tell you that it's done wonders for my mental health and my writing inspiration to cut people off when i need to, and not feel guilty answering one person's things over another.

i think i rambled a lot and maybe my words might upset someone and i'm sorry for that, it's not my intention! i just want to be clear that when it comes to interacting with me, you'll never have to hold back your muse's true nature, nor should you ever feel guilty for not replying promptly to our threads :) take your time and do what inspires you in the moment -- do what makes you happiest!

Mika's "friendliness" and extroverted nature can really only take her so far without people she can constantly talk too. And with practically no one else to rely on here but herself the girl can really use a couple of besties to talk with (of course the closer to her own age the better so she can actually buddy up with them but anyone is welcome!). To sum up how she usually acts a lot of what Mika does is very nonsensical, really just marching to her own drum. If she helps you she helps you. If she just wants to talk there's very little reason beyond doing it because she wanted to. Of course she'd love if you reciprocated the feeling back to her because...

Friends²

I'll be real for a moment this girl is a fucking mess. Deep down at her core is someone who's impulsive as hell which, combined with Mika's underlying mentally unstable state turns situations that can usually be solved with a few words into a battle for your life (literally or figuratively). The people that graduate from the previous section and end up in this category probably can recognize just by being around Mika for a bit that something about her just feels off and that bubbly nature of her is all an act.

While she enjoys being like that someone has to step up and tell her that sometimes things can go wrong and its ok. Bonus points if you can keep up with her "act first do something probably stupid nature." She might seem stupid but she'll definitely take note of you trying to help out and appreciate it all the better.

An Actual Parental Figure / Found Family:

Despite how much she might act like a normal person (read as never) Mika is still a kid. She got bailed out from both death (yes I'm not kidding) & a lot of punishment once thanks to her teacher but ofc they aren't here anymore. And while I love for Mika to make as many friends as she can her age I think she could use a handful of good (or dubiously good) parental figures to help her get through you know, the life of a seventeen year old. It's not much but it's definitely honest work that I'd love to see her trust someone with issues she knows are far beyond her control.

Enemies:

Not exactly difficult to get on her "shit list" as we'll call it. Just being an asshole to her constantly without any real desire to repent or be kinder is the fast track way to getting there. If anything the first thing she'll try and do is ignore you as long as possible unless you are someone trying to actively threaten her or someone's life right in front of her. Harming her friends or anyone she cares for either is also a very very quick way to get her to break into your home and make you feel unsafe get you to change your ways. So

Romance:

She got rejected once here SURELY IT CAN'T HAPPEN AGAIN /s honestly I'm always down for a little bit of young love crushes. It's not super high on my priority list for obvious reasons (one being she's an idiot when it comes to actual love) but I'm down if I can see the chemistry. It's definitely not something I want to plot and I'd rather see through interactions and threads if there is any chemistry between the two but. But if your muse is also floating around the high school age wants to date the war criminal Mika for whatever interests you for whatever reason I'll give it the college try.

And that's pretty much it for now. There's definitely more stuff I didn't put here & probably will update it if I remember something. But even if you don't see something I encourage you to slide into my DM's regardless of if it isn't on here! I'm very flexible and willing to make stuff happen if the desire is there! tbh, goatlings, compared to another online game called pokéfarm q, is kinda bad??

like, with goatlings the news feels kinda drab and like a bore. most of the time, when I check the news, I don't really feel anything. just. boredom? maybe it's because of how unimportant and same-y the "updates" in the news are.

on pfq, I actually feel excited to read the news!! whenever I see the little notif that the news updated, I always check it excitedly!! from updates on what's being worked on, to events ( which I'll get to in my ask ), idk. I get a swell of joy checking the new news on pfq that I don't get with goatlings!

the gameplay for pfq is also particularly well-done! there's almost always things to do. hatch pokemon eggs from the lab, adopt pokemon from the shelter, fulfill personal goals, send your pokemon on scours to obtain items ( as well as credits and treasure chests, which you could possibly get rare items from ) !! you also get stuff when you reach milestones in your eggdex and pokedex! which is even better as it got an update to have better items given as rewards! I could go on and on with how much there is!

and speaking of events!! there's seasonal events, ofc, for halloween and the holidays and the like, but sometimes random events will also happen ( like the last one was a surprise! )!! it can be a bit more difficult for new people still learning how the game works, but that's how it is for any game. not to mention that the prizes, often special pokemon and special items, really make the event worth it!

there's also tasks! they aren't required, but there's only four to do and they're pretty easy { hatch a pokemon egg, make 1k interactions, log in and complete a scour } you get rewards for them all once completed and on the 5th day, you get a higher prize! it isn't required to do, but it's not stressful and it's ok to break the chain as well! I struggle with motivation but I'm still able to complete my tasks on pfq.

I know you shouldn't compare two different games, but how high-quality pfq is compared to goatlings' frankly repetitive gameplay ( the only time I really play is during the halloween event... that's really it.. ) is just. astounding. I don't think goatlings should try to be pokefarm q, but I REALLY think they could take some notes on the game. ( especially since goatlings seems to neglect everything else in favor of adding more appearance dolls and items. I honestly think goatlings would be better if they shut things down for a while to work on the base game itself, with player input, instead of trying to pump out ADs whilst ignoring everything else. and also work on the rules and what constitutes a ban and a warning )

• Someone told Shoto that Saiki K is based on true events and he genuinely believes it and tries to find Saiki K, claiming that he is the answer to all of his problems. Is very subtle about it tho.

• I think that in part one of these atrocious head canons we established that Keigo would willingly put effort to find the clit, right? Listen he probably asks what's the concept of the clit, like why is it outside and not inside- wait you have another spot inside, yeah? He's is so confused and for what? Won't stop for it mid sex but he searches reproduction organ anatomy later on on google because he brought some questions in his brain that need answers. On the clit. You heard me right.

• Dabi looks like he once had a break up that was so rough that he opened a Twitter just to drag the other person down. For once, I won't go into detail and will let your imaginations run wild. 

• I have to do a a cursed one for Bakugo right? Well yeah uhm, he probably was caught flexing his muscles in the mirror during vacation, totally naked too, by one of his friends in his group and screamed in a high pitched voice and picked up that little hotel room fridge to cover himself up and chased them around the hotel room until he just crushed the poor item. To the floor? Because he tried to use it as a cover up and it just slipped... It's even worse if the friend was a potential s/o. He'll scream like one of the screaming/simping TikTok sounds.

• Bakugo also really hates chairs. Idk why I have this headcanon, but I know it in my heart that this man, as an adult, only has those round weird- ish IKEA stools around the kitchen table that's all. No more chairs. Nothing.

• this is too self indulgent but Kirishima and Deku look like the people who, while washing forks, spoons etc they create whole stories about them and treat them like characters, and others would just look at them so confused as to why it takes 16 minutes to wash off a spoon and why are they also crying but you wouldn't understand. This spoon is Cinderella. Back off and let. them. finish. their. stories.

• I feel like Jirou has phases where she only wants to wear black but then she sees a nice pair of jeans and buys it, and then buys some more and then she gets mad about having blue jeans and she dyes them, but then she grows out of that phase for a few months and she tries to find ways to make the fabric paint fade away

• I also think that she, after spending a little time with Momo, spends money on a lot of clothes, and it's not like Momo buys too many clothes, but Jirou always wants to upgrade her wardrobe and ends up feeling lost on what she wants to wear

• Denki and Kirishima turn into the same person a little more every single time they hang out together. You'll listen to Denki say 'manly' all the time and Kirishima starts trying to find leather jackets that look cool on him, and just adopts Dennis speaking habits.

I'm personally not gonna watch ROP unless I can pirate it - but also, I'm bad at getting around to media I want to watch. I've had the Matrix trilogy on my watch list for nearly five years and just haven't gotten to it. But I genuinely do boycott Amazon. I don't order shit online that I can do without or that I can buy at a store. It's less convenient, but I really hate how dependent our society is on online shopping & streaming content.

I also have strong opinions on adaptations (a huge special interest of mine) that deviate too much from the spirit of the source material, but since this isn't a direct adaptation of any of Tolkien's works -- just sorta set in his world -- I have less of a chip on my shoulder about it. Though, I did refuse to watch The Hobbit movies on principle.

That said, I'm over here like... if I had to guess, I'd say ROP is probably pretty good, or at least decent, all things considered. The Amazon shows that I have seen haven't been bad at all. Well written, well paced... And personally, I'm happy about the diversity bc I get very very fucking tired of seeing all white or mostly white casts, especially in the fantasy genre. Not only is it not interesting, but it's usually a sign that the writers are just racist & exclusionary.

So I guess my general feelings are: I understand why some people might not like the show just on premise alone, particularly the book enthusiasts. I'm sick of big budget remakes too, and I think the Peter Jackson films set a high bar for a lot of folks. Ofc, there are definitely racists who are Bigg Madd about black elves, and they can all die mad. I personally think Amazon is a scourge & I wish more ppl were dedicated to boycotting it (or at least reducing its importance in their lives) & that is my reason for not immediately watching ROP, so I think that's an extremely valid stance. But I'd watch it if I could do so without supporting Amazon & if I could ever dedicate time to sitting down for it.

And all THAT to say, I don't trust anyone's opinion about media they haven't seen. Even if their reasons for not interacting with it are valid. If they don't have the full context of the show, how are they gonna form an informed opinion about it? I wanna see the critical analysis work (because I'm a dork).

Sorry this got so long! I just have feelings about it. 😅 And tone isn't easy for me, so if it wasn't clear, I totally support your frustration with people's half baked opinions on the show & see how that's suspicious. I'm just here trying to represent the folks who genuinely aren't interested in supporting Amazon in a non-hypocritical way. I'll shut up now tho. Cheers~

I feel that way for any entertainment I interact with- I trust no one's opinions about something they've never watched or read or played. I see joyless takes about trailers for things that aren't even out and won't be out for at least a year and I'm like damn, you're so fucking boring. It's not even out yet, how do you even know if it'll be bad? Do you have any actual concerns about it or are you just parroting the masses and formed your opinion before giving it a fair try?

As someone who has a radicalised family member I used to love and ultimately have cut ties, I feel the ending of AoT deeply.

Because the truth is that even if they ended up hurting me so many times, before they turned into a horrible, hurtful person, I admired them deeply and even after all of this time, I love them for the good they did for me.

They were the one who told me 'to find a goal' in life to move forward and I almost feel angry that the only valid option people see is hate in this kind of situation.

Or that 'Eren taking this path isn't believable'.

Yes it is. Many young men especially these days go down this path. Eren is essentially a modern radicalised youth as they say.

Does that mean the 20 years of kindness I saw from that person is not valid?

How do you think the families of these people feel, especially those who suffer under it?

And the even more screwed up part is that this case is even more personal to me because they ended up having serious mental illness.

I had to live with them talking to themselves and trying to hurt themselves before they were administered to a hospital and even after they came back, it fixed the worst if it, but not most of it and the best option was *still* to cut ties.

AoT hits very close to home in that aspect to me.

And I so rarely see this talked about because I don't think people care much for the families of people like this and to be fair, they often aren't any better.

And even *more* so, when questioning that person, they gave the answer 'I don't know', too.

And to this day, I haven't figured out where it went wrong. When did this happen? Why? I still don't have much more but speculation.

The entire ending/final arc even was *almost* like a massive trigger for me, very scarily real, but also comforting.

And the most frustrating thing is that this shit comes from supposedly 'empathic' people.

There is an interesting connection between Mikasa and OG Ymir in that in the extra pages, Mikasa tells her that at least she loved her children and by proxy of having them gave her life.

At least there was something good that came from her suffering.

And I've thought about that a bunch and how people really don't know anything about how abusive relationships work, either.

For how much people say empathy and validation is the way to go, so many sure don't even try to understand perspectives that feel strange to them.

AoT's ending is ultimately for sort of very specific people, I think, which is another reason I think it's so polarising.

Hell, I saw the moment where Jean and co where chiding Eren for something they didn't ask for at all described as 'he's an idiot, but our idiot' and for a while I couldn't explain why this pissed me off, but I think it's because it's not some cute fucking farewell, it's Eren falling back to his tendency to be self-destructive.

It's people imposing generic ending tropes to an ending that is actually kind of challenging and puzzling because it doesn't give you all of the answers and asks you to at least understand 'unusual' perspectives they've never encountered before in media or real life.

Another one is like the surface interaction of 'I'll never understand Eren or OG Ymir, so wierd.'

It's this energy of tone-deaf gifsets using psychopathic characters' quotes as inspiring without zero self-awareness about the story's actual point or tone.

Idk if this comes across as being a little too assholish, but for so long some of this stuff has bothered me and nobody is willing to talk about it.

And ofc what is 'challenging art' is also very subjective. People are very much free to consider AoT childish, shallow and edgy and the like, but to me it really feels like it many people's first exposure to this kind of more 'tough'(?) storytelling.

First of all, I'm very sorry you've been through this/are going through it. Been there too myself/am there, and it sucks. It's just not so simple as Twitter would like it to be.

I agree with you that the ending was both triggering and comforting, though for me it felt more the latter, because it was genuinely empathetic (for the most part). It's genuinely complex storytelling, and honestly 99% of the storytelling this day and age would never go for such a bold or honest story. And the sad thing is it's both people on the radicalized side (see, the Fandom Menace and Erehisu Dudebros) and the Twitter social justice people, the latter of whom might be well-intentioned but operate on childish ideas that operate on the logic of a Dhar Mann video but don't operate with the reality of real life and complex humanity, are very anti-empathy.

I'm not gonna talk about the Dudebros here, but instead about the Twitter people because like... we share some values on the surface.

Tumblr and Twitter cultures is constantly calling for empathy, but by empathy they mean "everyone agreeing exactly and aspiring to be like the loudest voice in the room" which is kind of, well, not empathy.

People: we want dialogue!

Also people: actually if your experience contradicts mine then shut up.

In reality, nuance of course, but experiences have been and will always be contradictory. Dialogue is important precisely because it allows us to meditate on that paradox.

Contradictory experiences means that I genuinely get why some people aren't comfortable with AoT. That's fine. But any arguments that remove Eren's humanity and specifically argue that people are bad for seeing that fall into the "you missed the point" category.
