Carina Deluca x reader
Just plain fluff
Carina DeLuca had a way of making even the most ordinary moments feel extraordinary. It wasn't just her Italian charm or her impeccable sense of style; it was the way she made you feel seen, valued, and understood. Today was no different. You were sitting together on a blanket spread out on the grass in a secluded corner of the park, the afternoon sun casting a warm glow over everything.
"I love this spot," Carina said, lying back and looking up at the canopy of leaves above. "It feels like we're hidden away from the rest of the world."
You smiled, adjusting your position to get more comfortable beside her. "Yeah, it's perfect. Just you and me."
She turned her head to look at you, her dark eyes softening as they met yours. "Exactly how I like it."
Moments like these were your favorite. Quiet, simple, and filled with the kind of intimacy that only came from truly knowing and trusting each other. You reached over and laced your fingers with hers, feeling the warmth of her skin against yours. It was a small gesture, but one that held so much meaning.
"So," she began, a playful smile tugging at her lips, "what do you want to do today? We have the whole day to ourselves."
You shrugged, content just to be in her presence. "Honestly? I'm happy just being here with you. Maybe we can get some ice cream later?"
Her eyes lit up at the mention of ice cream. "Gelato! Let's get gelato. I'll make sure you get the real Italian experience."
You laughed, knowing how passionate she was about her heritage. "Deal. But only if you teach me a few more Italian words while we eat."
She sat up, her excitement palpable. "Oh, you have no idea what you've just signed up for. By the end of the day, you'll be speaking fluent Italian."
You raised an eyebrow, amused by her enthusiasm. "Is that a challenge?"
"Absolutely," she replied, leaning in closer. "And I never back down from a challenge."
Her lips brushed against yours in a soft kiss, the kind that left you craving more but also perfectly content in the moment. When she pulled back, her eyes sparkled with mischief. "Ti amo," she whispered.
"I love you too," you replied, feeling a rush of warmth spread through you.
The afternoon passed in a blissful blur. You talked about everything and nothing, sharing stories, dreams, and secrets under the shade of the trees. At one point, Carina pulled out a small notebook from her bag and started sketching the view, her brow furrowed in concentration as she captured the essence of the scene.
"You never told me you could draw," you said, watching her in admiration.
She looked up, a hint of shyness in her expression. "It's just a hobby. Something I do to relax."
"Well, you're really good at it," you said, genuinely impressed. "Can I see?"
She handed you the notebook, and you marveled at the intricate details she had managed to capture. "Wow, this is beautiful. You have such a talent."
"Grazie," she said softly, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "I'm glad you like it."
As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the grass, you decided it was time for gelato. Carina led the way to a little Italian café she had discovered, tucked away in a side street. The place was charming, with colorful decorations and the rich aroma of freshly made pastries wafting through the air.
"Buonasera, Carina!" the owner greeted her warmly. "E chi è questa bella ragazza?"
Carina beamed, introducing you in rapid Italian. You could pick out a few words here and there, enough to understand that she was telling him how special you were to her.
The owner, a jovial man with a thick accent, smiled at you. "Ah, molto bene! Welcome, welcome. You must try our gelato. It's the best in the city."
Carina insisted on picking the flavors for both of you, and soon you were sitting outside the café with a generous portion of gelato in front of you. She watched with anticipation as you took your first bite, waiting for your reaction.
"Oh my god," you said, your eyes widening in delight. "This is amazing."
She laughed, clearly pleased. "Told you. Nothing beats real Italian gelato."
You spent the rest of the evening strolling through the city, hand in hand, exploring little shops and enjoying the warm, summer air. Carina took you to all her favorite spots, sharing bits of history and culture with each place you visited. It was like seeing the city through her eyes, and it made everything feel new and exciting.
By the time you returned to your apartment, it was late, but neither of you felt tired. You curled up on the couch together, wrapped in a cozy blanket, and talked about your plans for the future. Carina's head rested on your shoulder, and you could feel the steady rise and fall of her breathing.
"Do you ever think about what it would be like to live in Italy?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Sometimes," you admitted. "Especially when you talk about it. It sounds like a dream."
She looked up at you, her eyes filled with hope. "Maybe one day we can make that dream a reality."
You kissed her forehead, feeling a sense of peace settle over you. "I'd like that. As long as I'm with you."
Carina smiled, snuggling closer. "I feel the same way."
As you sat there, wrapped up in each other, you realized that it didn't matter where you were or what you were doing. As long as you had Carina by your side, every moment was special. She was your home, your safe haven, and your greatest adventure all rolled into one.
And that was more than enough.
The night grew darker, and eventually, you both drifted off to sleep, still wrapped in each other's arms. The world outside continued on, but in that moment, all that mattered was the love you shared and the promise of many more beautiful days to come.

Can you do when Ominis and Sebastion reactions when f!reader speaks Italian to them like romantic and don't understand? Maybe they like the language and ask her to continue speaking in Italian
Sebastian And Ominis with a F!reader who speaks Italian
Warnings: none, just fluff!
A/n: I wrote this on Mobile, I hope the format turned out okay! Also, the reader is intended to be Female, but I didn't use any gendered terms so you can read it as anything you would like!
Ominis Gaunt
So, he likes being held.
He will admit it with pride, his favorite place is with his head on your chest.
So it's a dreary winter day and that's exactly where you are. In front of the Slytherin fireplace holding a sleepy Ominis. And he is sleepy, he can hardly keep his eyes open.
It's a Saturday and everyone else is in Hogsmeade, so you have the common room to yourself. The gramophone is playing your favorite song and it's pretty much perfect.
If it wasn't for the unfortunate events of the night before.
Ominis had received a rather nasty howler from his parents regarding you, demanding he answer their questions about your blood status.
And in the howler they had mentioned how it was already shameful to have a blind son, and not to mention a blind son courting a potential mud blood.
It really shattered Ominis.
He had cried himself to sleep that night and woke up with you snuggled against him, having snuck into his dorms after hearing what happened.
And now he was finally on the verge of restless sleep, being held by you.
No matter how many times you told him that he was absolutely breathtaking, he didn't quite believe you.
The moment was right. You kissed your boyfriend's head and rested your cheek against his hair.
"sei così carina. Bel ragazzo."
Ominis hadn't been asleep. He turned his head and nuzzled further into your chest, blushing slightly. "What does that mean?"
Well. You hadn't expected to get caught. So you stuttered for a second before blushing yourself. "Um...nothing. I just called you pretty, that's all."
When it's genuine, Ominis has the prettiest laugh you've ever heard.
"I'll believe it if you keep talking to me. That sounded amazing. Is that Italian?"
Sebastian Sallow
After the events of fifth year, arguments were unfortunately common in your relationship.
Of course they never escalated, were never really more than tiffs honestly.
But as much as you love Sebastian, he could drive you to your wits end.
What had started off as an invite to snog in the undercroft ended in an argument.
He asked you about the boy you were talking to in herbology, and when you dismissed the question he started an argument.
Maybe a reasonable thing to ask, but not to be passive agressive over.
So when you put your hands in your hair and sigh, muttering a "Oh mio Dio!" between clenced teeth, you're shocked when Seb stops his pacing to look at you.
"Say that again."
And he has a commanding voice that makes anyone listen (and weak in the knees), so you repeat yourself.
And he just smiles.
"You're voice is so pretty when you say things like that. In What, Italian?"
Of course you are taken aback because a moment ago you were ready to kill him.
"You should say things like that more." He smirks before apologizing.
"Now, tell me about your day. Besides this spat, I mean."
You shake your head at his antics. "Well this morning, when I woke up,"
"No, tell me in Italian."
little shit. We love him though.

How about Barbossa is crying (you choose the reason, no Carina or Margaret though) and the reader has to comfort him?
Hello dear, sorry this took so long but here you go. I did read about Hector once owning a capuchin called polly who drowned, so i went with that 😁 hope you enjoy. Comments, feedbacks and reblogs are appreciated ✨️🐒🍏.
The night pressed on as the black pearl sailed through the briny calming waters. The candlelight flickered within the room, illuminating light. The room was surrounded by dabloons, gold, and silver and gold cobs, rolling around tinking as they touched one another.
Captain Barbossa's finger followed along the parchment containing the coordinates to Cortes's treasure. He used the dividers to measure the distance between the ship and location. He picked up an astrolabe, determining the latitude of where the coordinates led. Only his—gaze fell upon a familiar piece of fabric.
The piece of fabric was a dress, sewn that couldn't match an adult woman—but rather a small child. The fabric had frills and beautiful embroidery that it would've been presumed to be woven for a noble lady or lord. One could only guess. There was something tragic behind that gown, something cursed that no sailor would touch.
Barbossa, the captain of the ship, had a moment. His cold egotistical gaze faltering. He dropped the dividers, picking up the small gown fitted for a royal. Tracing his fingers along the soft silk. His weathered eyes narrowed as his aging face scrunched with sorrow. Salty droplets fell from the corner of his eyes onto the blackened oaken floor.
He brought the fabric closely to the temple of his forehead quietly, sobbing. His hoarse voice hitching in sync.
You were asked by the first mate, black dog birar, for a heading, seeing if you needed to change course. You were a master gunner, having experience with artillery, canons, and gunpowder.
Seeing as you trailed up the ladder onto the stern quarterdeck. You knocked lightly on the door. Standing back, you heard no response. You didn't want to disturb him, knowing it might result in you getting three lashes but—you needed an answer.
You placed your head against the glass, seeing if the captain was even inside. Your gaze could make out a figure hunched over on a chair. Curious, you gently turned the handles. Entering inside.
Your hushed footsteps stopped behind him. It became clearer now what he was doing. Crying. Crying!?
Your eyes widened with astoundment—softening seconds later.
You hadn't really seen Barbossa cry before—or ever for that matter. This was serious. And you were the first to witness it.
You weren't really great with comforting people. You couldn't stand the thought of weakness. You had a ship to man for Neptune's sake. You weren't there to baby men.
This was different however, a situation you'd never thought you see the day of light for.
Quietly, you approached the captain, placing your hand on the fabric of his shoulder. Mistake made.
Barbossa gnashed his teeth together, hoisting his rapier to your gullet. You could feel the pointy end gently press further but not enough to cause a cut. "State yer presence upon me quarters or I'll have ye flogged fer trespassing, ye cackhanded roach."
He didn't even hide it. His weathered eyes were red, puffy, and his cheeks and nose were bright with a rosey hue. You could mistake him from having a cold. You didn't question it. Instead, you ask. "Cap'n I ask only of honesty from me and the crew, have we a heading for our next change of course. We've been sailing the caspian seas for near a month now."
His raspy voice cracked, intimidating you. "Aye, we ave' our headin' missy/mister/sailor, now begone from me sight lest ye want all limbs in tactic."
You knew him since the moment you first served under his command. No one else was close to him but you.
Your gaze caught sight of the small gown "cap'n as your ally, closest mate in arms, I must ask, I be worried, I can see it in your face, hangin' the jib, it wouldn't take a blind eye to see what's eatin' at your thoughts."
Instead of shooting you, he gave in and allowed you in his cabin, slamming the door behind and sitting at his dining table with his legs apart. You were even shocked at how he hadn't eaten, Barbossa not eating something was like when hell would freeze over.
He grabbed the fabric, placing it delicately on the furnished table. It was clear whoever previously owned this small gown, he expressed great care for.
Had he gone mad? Was it a lover's tale—couldn't be. Based on the size of the gown, it was small enough to fit a child. A daughter, perhaps? Had he lost a daughter?
He then came clean as he unleashed the wrath of his washy sorrows onto you. "Thar was once this—lass ye see, a lass no finer than anyone could've imagined, a loyal thin' she was, far more valuable than any jewell or treasure can hold."
"Was it, your daughter cap'n?" You asked.
"Daughter? nay, be bad luck fer a woman to be on board." Though that was contradictory, considering he had you but—you let that reason slide. Was a silly superstition that made your blood boil at times.
"She was not of man, nor lady, she was a capuchin'—polly."
That's when it hit you like a pile of bricks. How could you forget. Hector once had a pet capuchin called polly. He treated that monkey like it was his world, more than he did with his own crew.
He doted polly day and night, even if it was a little unusual like a man with a dog. He would feed her and constantly have polly around his shoulders. Sweet little thing was far more friendlier than half the sailors in tortuga.
The day polly drowned was the day a peice of him died with her. They held a funeral on the ship and, at any mention of her name, would be the shattering moment of his ego.
He wasn't soft by any means, but that capuchin meant more than himself.
And who can blame him? Any animal dying was a loss you couldn't get over in a flash.
You lept to your feet and hugged the poor man. He was human, after all. Many forget that. You squeezed hum tighter as he was in shock held his hands out.
"I can't bring er' back, but I am here when you need to talk, i can't fix anythin' but, i can listen an' That's all ye really need." You whispered.
In response, he gently squeezed you back. Sharing a moment of solace and comfort. You reassured him, and that's all he ever needed.
He was thankful to have you by his side. For better or worse.

Disney Descendants : Every Family Has Its Secrets.
By me and @hannahhook7744
Summary: The Baduns and Lampwick are related.
Set in the ‘I was a kid but I wasn't clueless' verse.

Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
“I’ll get it, Tiger Honey, don’t worry ,” Lampwick said as He went to the door. He opened it and said “Hello , can I help you ? “
“Are you Romeo Rossi?” A thin boy around fifteen with brown hair, brown eyes, and ratty clothes asked.
“Yeah, but only my wife calls me that. You can call me Lampwick. Why do ya ask?”
“Cause we're related.” The teen replied, completely serious.
Well. As serious as one could look with a smudge of ink on their nose and bags under their eyes. Lampwick blinked in confusion. Then he laughed. “Ha Ok kid . Nice Prank but seriously who are ya really ??!”
“Your something, something cousin. This paper thingy on my computer said our grandmas were sisters.” the boy said, stubbornly. “So I printed it out and came to find you.”
“Ya Do know that not everything online is accurate right, kid? But I’ll humor you. Come inside kid and we’ll call my grandmother.”
“Aye aye, Captain.” The boy snorted.
.....
Lampwick dialed the number to his grandmother, Bria’s phone.
She answered almost immediately. Sounding grouchy. “Who is it?”
“Hey grandma! It’s me, Lampwick. I have this kid at my house—”
“I would hope so.You have three of them.”
“Yeah but this kid ain’t mine! He claims he’s my long lost cousin. Know anythin’ about that ?”
There was a long, long, long pause.
“Grandma,” Lampwick asked again. “Do I have a Long lost cousin that you haven’t told me about?”
“I…it can't be possible. My sister didn't have children that I knew of before she was arrested.” “Well try telling this kid that!” Lampwick said defensively.
“What's his name?”
“Hey kid “ Lampwick asked the boy. “What’s yer name? I never got it ..”
The kid sat on the couch, fidgeting with one of the side table decorations. Which he immediately put back when addressed. “Harry Badun.”
“Gotcha.. His name is Harry Badun, Grandma.”
She hung up.
“Hello? Oh great, she hung up! Now we’ll NEVER get to the bottom of this !”
“That sounds like an answer to me.”
“More like sketchy behavior! Well there’s only one solution and I really hate it…”
Lampwick dialed his mama’s Number . “Hey Mama! We have a situation…”
“What did you do now?” Carina sighed. “It’s not me! It’s some kid who showed up on my doorstep claiming to be my long lost cousin!” Lampwick said defensively.
His mother was quiet for a moment.
“That's not something to joke about, Romeo. I don't know how you found out about your great aunt but—”
“He says his name is Harry Badun, Mama.”
“... Romeo, you better not be joking.”
“I’M NOT! YOU CAN ASK TIGER LILY! Better yet.. you can come here yerself !”
“I'll be there in an hour and if this is a joke, you're grounded for life.”
“Mama, ya can’t do that anymore. I'm married. .” Lampwick said Dryly.
“Try me.”
....
Harry was fidgeting with another knickknack: already bored of trying to gain information from listening in on Lampwick’s phone calls. “Wow Romeo. A long lost relative! That’s so exciting !” Tiger Lily said with a huge grin. ‘“Babe, please we don’t have all the facts yet ..”
“The paper says we're related and your mom and grandma acted weird when you said my name. That proves it.” Harry called out.
“Yeah, but if you’re pulling one over on us I'm gonna get the blame!” “Babe, calm down ..I’m sure your Mother didn’t mean it..” Tiger Lily said to her husband in a soothing voice.
“I'm not doing a con! My friends and our cousin looked it over, and I even had an AK look at it to confirm it was legit!” The brunette squawked, defensive.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
“I'll get it.” Tiger Lily hummed.
....
Harry watched, curiously, as the two brunettes paced around the living room.
“This can’t be possible .Where did he even come from?” Carina said nervously.
“I’m from the isle.”
“THE WHAT?!” Both ladies shrieked.
The teen flinched hard.
When Carina saw the boy flinch she softened up a little. “I’m sorry sweetie. I didn’t mean to scare you. So, how did you find out that you are related to us ?”
“Auradonandme.com? I was trying to figure out who my mom was and then I noticed there was something sketchy going on with the site, and did some research online. When I did that, I found out that the website was a newer version that … separated families starting with, heroic and villain ancestors and only showed half of them. Which led me to my grandma, Jezebel.”
“Jezebel you bitch,” Bria muttered under her breath.
“From there I did some more research to find out about your side of the family and found Lampwick's address, and decided to pop in to find out more.” Harry fidgeted.
“ Ok.. So How did you get off the isle ?” Carina asked.
“I’m one of the kids Ben brought over for his proclamation a month ago. Our cousin, Jace, and our friends were the other kids. I go to Auradon Prep and live in Gruteley County.” “Well that settles it,” Lampwick started with an ‘I told you so’ look to his mother. “Welcome back to the family, Harry!”
“How did you get to Neverland specifically kid “ Bria, asked, still not convinced.
“I took the bus to get to the port at four am and got on the fairey when it opened.” “Well in the words of my son, who I should’ve believed, welcome back to the family Harry!” Carina said with a faint smile.
“...does this mean I can tell my cousin ‘I told you so’?”
“Well, I told my mother that in my head, so sure kid!” Lampwick laughed . ....
Harry's stomach rumbled.
“So would you like to stay for breakfast, Harry?” Lampwick asked.
The boy shook his head. “I should probably get back to my foster parents before Jace has an aneurysm over me being gone.”
“Ah ok fair enough.” Lampwick shrugged.
“Hopefully I can sneak onto the fairey without being noticed.” Harry said offhandedly, grabbing his backpack and the paper. “The last thing I want is to end up with more Remedial Goodness homework.” “Would ya Like me to drive ya to the fairey?’
“Nah, it's fine. You lot probably have better things to do.”
“No I Insist” Lampwick stated firmly. “How old are ya by the way?”
“I just turned fifteen.”
“Wow, well congrats ! “ Lampwick chuckled.
“I can't wait to tell my cousin I was right.”
“And I can’t wait to meet em’,” Lampwick cheerfully added. ....
Meanwhile…
Jace sat at the table, eating cereal breakfast.
“Jace, have you seen Harry?” Anita asked, very worried.
“No? Why?”
“ Because I haven’t seen him since last night.” Anita said.

[Kuroshitsuji Collab] 6★ William T. Spears (MOON) Translation SS 特別編 職場環境は整然と Secret Story: Work Environment, Orderly
“Regarding the Grim Reaper Dispatch Association which he works at…”
CV: 杉山 紀彰 (Sugiyama Noriaki)
*Yume100 Masterlist *Requested by A. Carina Spears~ *Spoiler free: Translations will remain under cut *Name will remain as my normal ( ラン )
Moon Chapter 1 / Chapter 2 / Final Chapter / Secret Story Normal / Sun + SS
It has been a while since William had wandered into the world of dreams…
And despite our tireless efforts, we had yet to find any solid leads…
William: Perhaps we should reconsider our information-gathering methods.
William pushed up his glasses, his face set in his usual look of utter seriousness.
Ran: Maybe we should…
William: Seriously, this is negatively affecting my work. If this carries on… I'll have to submit a written letter of apology. And I won't stand for it happening on my watch.
(A written apology…?)
Although I've been curious about the association he works for for a while now, I've never actually gotten a chance to hear more about it.
Ran: What's your workplace like? You know, the Grim Reaper Dispatch Association? The stern look immediately returned to his face.
William: What does that have to do with our investigation?
I was fairly taken aback by his frigid tone, but…
Ran: It might serve some purpose to know, so I won't completely write it off.
I pushed back boldly, trusting in our budding friendship of sorts now that we were certainly closer to each other compared to the first time we met.
William: …
I'd made a good point. With that, he solemnly averted his gaze, seemingly unable to refute against that.
William: The Grim Reaper Dispatch Association is an organization in charge of dispatching reapers worldwide.
William: The equivalent of that in the human world would be… I suppose you can think of us as civil servants.
(Civil servants…)
William: I work under the management division.
Ran: You're in management?
William: Yes. However, I am often called into the field due to the misconduct of a certain trash dispatch member. He breathed an exasperated sigh tinged with slight annoyance.
William: We also have the personnel division, the general affairs division, and the retrieval division, among others. Additionally, we also provide training for recruits who join the association.
(Sounds like… how a normal company works actually.)
Ran: So that must mean that you've undergone this training too, right?
Despite how imposing he is now, he was still a rookie once…
(I wonder what he was like as a rookie…)
William then faced me with a sharp look in his eyes, as if putting a premature stop to the question resting at the tip of my tongue.
William: It's something that belongs in the closet and should stay in the closet.
Then, he proceeds to explain the other divisions.
(Did he also have a hard time as a rookie?) (Now I kinda feel some sort of affinity with him…)
William's greenish-yellow eyes narrowed into a glare as I unwittingly chuckled at the thought.
Ran: …! Come to think of it, your glasses are a little oddly shaped. I could see him stiffen the moment I let my words slip.
He brushed his fingers over the rim of his glasses and gave me a pointed stare, his expression set into one of seriousness.
(William-san…?)
William: I’m not the only one who wears glasses.
William: All of us reapers are short-sighted.
He had a faraway look on his face, almost as if reminiscing about something from his past.
However, it also seemed as if he’d wanted nothing more than to pretend whatever he was reminiscing about never happened. And oddly enough, I too, found myself unable to turn away.
William: So… Do you think any of this information is going to be of use regarding our current predicament?
Ran: Ah…
His sharp gaze fell on me again, and I instinctively responded to him.
Ran: Learning about how things are in your world has motivated me to work harder on our investigation!
I shared my heartfelt thoughts with him.
William: …
He simply adjusted his glasses again, neither confirming nor denying what I’d said.
(I wonder how many lives those lenses of his have witnessed…)
However, that’s something I can’t possibly imagine.
William: Now then, let’s continue with our investigation.
Ran: …Okay!
All I wanted to do now was to do everything in my power to help him return to his world as soon as possible…

Really hate how they had to have Danielle's irl best friends kid to play marina's kid in carina's head. I HATE blurred lines between character and actor they just have to stay separate. It also just made literally no sense to have her in. There is a massive age gap between her and the other kids I mean Liam looked at least 15 which would mean marina would be in their 50's yet somehow they have a 2 yr old that presumably maya carried? And Maya had never expressed any desire whatsoever abt wanting to carry until 7x09 and even then she said she MIGHT be willing IF carina couldn't carry and it was sweet and shows how much she loves her but of all the things maya imagined while at deaths door it was her giving birth? Nah.
Her imagining carina giving birth is fine but her? No. It could've been signing Liam's adoption papers with Carina or even getting her captaincy back.
Just Liam and the other kid carina is pregnant with would've been perfectly fine and made the most sense anyway. I know carina briefly said in 6x18 she'd always wanted 3 but maya didnt want that and said it would be too much which is fair and carina didnt have a problem with maya not wanting that and it seemed they settled for 2. Instead of having carina imagine ANOTHER kid I wish they'd given her something to do with her career like having her own practice. There is much more to her character than just wanting kids and I'll forever be bitter by how dirty they did her character.
To me it just seems like Danielle's friend wanted his claim to fame he's always blasting that poor kid all over social media even giving her her own insta? Like she's 2?! Not my business but I'd value her privacy much more if I was her parent but maybe it's an LA thing idk?

Kinda wish Carina’s flash forwards were of them in the backyard with the two oldest, Carina gardening and Maya working out. Then with all three kids and the crew coming over for like a barbeque or something like Carina said in 7x01.
Would’ve liked something different for Maya too but not exactly sure what. Maybe her walking into Carina’s new practice with a pregnant belly and the tweens helping put it together while wifey fusses over her. Then them going to Italy or something 🤷♀️
That would've been really nice for Carina's vision. The photoshoot thing just felt weird especially with the positioning with the 5 of them...Maya and Gianna were so separated and I'll never understand that. Seeing them all in the backyard of their house with the kids running around or something like that would have been much better.
And I really wanted to see Carina opening her practice in one of their visions with Maya and the kids being there for the opening...especially since it's something she said she wanted to do once they had kids.
I do think the idea they mentioned in the interview that they were going to do with Maya and their daughter coming in last in a race and Maya cheering her on would have been so nice to see and a real full circle moment. It's a shame they only had time for one or the other because I do like that we saw Carina giving birth and Maya being there for that so I wouldn't have wanted that to be sacrificed but still.

Station 19 7x03
For some reason, this wasn't my episode. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for representation, but I guess the thing is... I don't feel represented (though to be honest, I feel this same way about many Prides - love where it stands for, but not my scene). Once again, they went with extravaganza and stereotypes, and it honestly just makes me believe it's mostly working against us at this point. So I do realize it's probably mostly my own personal issue ruining the fun here, but it's still a bummer.
Besides all that don't, the ep also felt kinda messy and flat to me (and don't get me started about those annoying tripping girls) (or Theo in general), and the only part that actually stood out got hardly any attention: the return of Mason. How heartbreaking it was to see how he turned out, after all the scenarios we pictured since last seeing him. I can only hope this story doesn't end here.
I also wasn't thrilled about the ending, despite getting all the cuteness from those last Maya and Carina scenes. It was the season 6 finale all over again: everyone dancing it out, and Maya being elsewhere. I can be happy for those who want to see all that, but please, show it beside all the station stuff, not instead of it.
To end on a positive note: I'll never get tired of Travis calling Vic Victoria! lol
Edit: oh that moment with Carina getting angry for a second got me too, as I've been in that situation myself (some representation after all 😉); the fact that you give your all to help others while being such an easy target for their unfair lawsuits etc, it's like the height of injustice, that can so easily break or at least scar you for life. So yeah, great scene, despite being short and a little smushed between all the chaos.

I don't want to gush but gahhhhh I love hygge universe so muuuch!!! There's just something about how Maya and Carina interact with each other. They have a bunch of things to work out, Andrea is quirky and Bea is a handful but there's just so much love underneath. Ok just kidding...I'll gush.
I LOVE that you chose to come to my inbox and gush/not gush. Thank you soooooooo much. I actually read this aloud to my mom? (She wasn't as excited as I was, of course.)
Hygge Universe is one of my most prized creations because it's kept me company through like... a year and a half? Two years? Of my life. I always wanted to create a family!fic universe because @a-windsor 's Thing!Verse meant so much to me when I was just a wee little fic reader. I'd never found the right fandom for it, though.
And then I was in college and I was surrounded by men all the time, talking about men who made films and men who acted in films and men who told stories about men who did men things. It was like drowning every day, so I came home and wrote soft, loving stories about women who loved each other and their children and got to have happy endings.
I didn't know it at the time, but I was writing about a little boy whose fictional birth is just a couple months before my real nephew. (And almost exactly a month before my youngest niece, and mere days after my high school best friend's little girl...) I'm waiting to see if the universe pulls a fast one and bestows another child in my life who'd be the same age as Beatrice. We'll see...
But anyways, yeah! I wanted it to be a place where under everything, there was always love. Andrea was a slow-growing conglomerate of ideas shared by friends and pieces of people I love (mostly my brother) and snippets of his moms. I love his trajectory of starting out as this weird, nerdy, intelligent kid and growing into someone capable of putting himself and his own needs first, while still showing up and loving others. That's probably something I wish for my own brother, honestly. Andrea as a teenager and a young adult (I've written a fair bit for him that hasn't yet been shared) is just... cool and kind and adept at reading others. He's got jokes, too.
Bea, though... I think she came out of my head fully formed. There's never been much question for me of where she's going and what she's going to accomplish. I want so badly to have the time and the readership to tell her entire story. (Hopefully that dream comes true.) She's all the spunk of each of the second-borns in my family and a touch of the bravery I see in people I admire and so much of who Carina and Maya were when we first met each of their characters. She's one of those kids who start out sure of themselves and then face a setback and aren't really sure how to recover right away. But she does - I promise. There's a happy ending for both of these children who live in my head.
It means the world to me that anyone cares even a fraction of how much I care about this universe. It's been one of the greatest joys of my life to share it with others. Receiving the love refuels me to keep writing away at it, even though the deadline of the finale is looming. I hope this community that's been built still exists when the show is over. I'm not done telling stories about Station 19 yet.
#janelle's asks#I accidentally rambled oops#posting prompts and getting notifications and asks is filling my cup#so thank you all#I hope one day you all stop being scared and using the anonymous option??? I'd love to cradle your faces and whisper proviamoci at you#anonymous#hygge universe

"#i so firmly believe so many fan ships start because of logistics skajdfhas" okey so this sent me into a analyzing spiral i notice most popular ships are made by two main characters which makes total sense considering you have the time and space to explore the characters as individual and develop the couple alongside the different stories and arcs so i started thinking about couples that are still good with main characters and recurring ones mainly in ensamble show because is pretty common with secondary characters and outside of hen and karen who have a established relationship since the beginning i though of another two firefighters shows :station 19 and chicago fire (2021 was the year i switched from medical to firefighter shows lol) in station 19 we have a couple that starts with one main (maya) one recurring(carina) that turns into main and that allows a bigger development to their relationship so again more time better ship that actually ended up becaming the most popular , in chicago i'm not in the fandom but from i can tell this is not one the biggest ship but still is pretty significant again main character (Cruz) and recurring one (Chloe) that so far is still that and it works because they get a couple of episode where half of the time is dedicated to them and the episodes where she doesn't appear or they are not the focus there are still a couple of mentions things so simply like other characters asking Cruz's about his date last night or if they choose they place they were going to move already, him mentioning how the wedding plans were going stuff like that that still work to show the audience how is the couple doing without actually showing them and that's the thing 911 has never done with any LI with buck and eddie like i can't remember any episode not focused in those relationship were they were just casually mentioned with the intent to show some small develop
oh yeah 100% doing little things like referencing the love interest when they're not around does a lot to establish their significance in the main character's life!! like i still think buck and ali and how they handled it was just the Wildest thing.
we got the date at the end of 2x08 which, okay cute! ali seemed nice!! and he mentions her to maddie??? once??? (i'll confirm when i get to that point in my rewatch) and that's just to say she's out of town a lot with work and then we nEVER SEE HER AGAIN until 2x18 and they're acting as if she's an incredibly important part of his life for the whole ep and it's just so jarring bc it's like, who is this????????
when i watched for the very first time i genuinely thought i'd accidentally skipped an ep bc i was so confused. and that was with me binge-watching over a few days so i can only imagine how confusing it was for viewers who last saw her in like, november only for her to show up again in may after hearing nothing about her character or their relationship for months askdjfh
in general, 911 has never really given the vibe that they're committed to buck or eddie's love interests which definitely impacts your conviction to be committed as a viewer 😅

“I want to see my babies,” Jo said insisted as she reached out and grabbed his arm.
It was a late Tuesday morning and the interns had finished their rounds and they had finished breakfast. Cristina had given Jo her daily check up and was happy with her progress. Carina was there now to give her and the baby a check up and let them see their baby on the ultrasound. Alex was still looking at them on the screen with a smile as he stared at their ten tiny toes.
“Okay” Alex said as he turned the screen towards her.
“No, not that baby, Luna and Helena,” Jo insisted as she crossed her arms. Alex opened his mouth of protest, but Jo already had a rebuttal. “It's been over a week, Alex. I'm healthy, with no sign of post op infection, bleeding, or anything. Even Cristina signed off on it. I want to see my babies!”
Alex looked up at Carina expecting her to back him up, but she just nodded her head and smiled. “I would never deny a mother, her babies if she’s healthy enough to see them. You should bring them up and let them visit for the afternoon.”
“See, both of my doctors have agreed to it,” Jo smirked and nodded in agreement.
Alex frowned seeing that he was out numbered. It's not that he didn't want Jo to see the girls. He had helped her video chat with them several times a day. However, letting their rambunctious germ filled toddlers into the same room as his recovering wife, wasn't something anyone had looked forward to.
“Jo please, let's just wait a little bit longer, they’re one years olds and they’re so germy,” Alex said as he put a hand over hers and gave it a squeeze.
“Alex, it's been long enough. I'm healthy. The baby's healthy. Luna’s 2nd birthday is in a few weeks and I want to start planning it with her. Let me see my girls and if you don't bring them up here, I'll just go to see them myself!” Jo said, throwing off the blankets and getting up before either of them can protest.
Carina grabbed onto her arms and held her and Jo surprisedly stood firm. Alex quickly got up as well and they gently urged her to sit back down. But with Carina's help she stood firm and turned to glare at him.
“Okay, okay,” Alex said, saying that he was outnumbered and let out a sigh. “I'll go get Luna and Helena and bring them up here to see you after lunch.”
“No, now.”
“Look, Links just said he dropped them off for breakfast and…”
“And I already got Helena's teacher's circle time picture,” Jo said, showing him the phone.
Helena's daycare teacher took pictures and videos at cuticle time about the kind of conversations and songs the kids talked about during the day. It was mostly just The ramblings of toddlers and dinosaur roars, but it was a cute chance to see the kids in the mornings.
“Alright, I'll go see if I'll bring them up, I promise,” Alex said as Jo smiled and laid back as she let Carina finish taking her blood pressure.
Jo settled with the blankets around her and he knew she would take a nap. As she already had her breakfast and her morning walk. Carina finished her check up, but by the time she left the room, Jo was asleep. Therefore he knew he could put off the visit a little bit longer, but not by much.
Alex went down to the daycare and walked into the girls room. It was a medium sized room with lots of colors and activity as the seven toddlers played on their own while their teacher, Ms. Daisy, played with a few kids on the rug as she played peekaboo with the colorful scarves. She was the epitome of a daycare teacher, in her late 20s, dressed in overalls and a floral blouse. She always had a soft smile and a calm demeanor that definitely helped with Luna's anxieties and Helena's demanding tantrums.
“Hello, Dr Karev,” Daisy said to him as she greeted him with a smile.
“Hello, Ms. Daisy,” Alex replied as he caught sight of Luna playing with the toy phone and talking into it. While Helena walked around with a scarf on her head and giggled.
“I wasn't expecting you this early, is everything all right with Jo and the baby?” Ms. Daisy asked, as she gave the scarf to another child before she came over to him.
“Yeah, everything's going fine, Jo just wanted to see the girls today so I thought I'd take them up for a visit. Is that all right?”
“Of course I never say no to a parent taking their child,” Ms. Daisy echoed the words of Carina, although he wasn't surprised given that Carina and Daisy were good friends and Carina volunteered in the toddler room with her son Andrew who was cutlery playing with Helena.
“Okay, I'll have them back for lunch,” Alex said as Daisy nodded, then he looked down at the girls. They were still obvious that he was there and he smiled as he called their names.
“Luna, Helena,” Alex said, getting their attention if they looked up. Luna squealed with excitement as she ran over and Helena was hot on her heels, the scarf falling off her head. “Hey you two, I'm so happy to see you.”
Alex crouched down and picked them both up, pulling one of arms around them as he stood up. Luna wrapped her arms around his neck and squeezed him to death in a hug. while Helena presented him with a sloppy kiss to his cheek before she pulled back.
“Dada I talk to Mama on da phone,” Luna said, holding up the toy phone she was talking into.
“Oh yes, are you talking to Mommy?” Alex said as he smiled at her, she nodded and held out the phone to him. “Can we give that back to Ms. Daisy, little Moon?”
“Okay, here go,” Luna said with a nod before she handed it back to her teacher.
“Thank you,” Alex said to her before they left. “So do you girls want to come to work with me?”
Both of them instantly perked up as they loved doing rounds with him on the Peds floor. He did it with them often, especially when they were babies, although it got harder to do once they were too big to carry around all the time.
“Yeah, I work with Daddy,” Helena said as she wiggled in his arms, causing him to readjust his grip on her.
“All right let's go to work, but first let's go get a checkup,” Alex said as he brought the girls over to the pediatric wing.
He brought the girls up to the Pediatric wing and brought them into the room with the fire truck bed as he set them on top of it and started to give them a checkup, like he would any other kid. As if to reaffirm his fears Luna sneezed and a giant green snot bubble came out of her nose. He quickly pulled a tissue out of his pocket and wiped it away.
He didn't know if it was just toddlerhood or daycare boogers, but the girls always seemed to have a runny nose. He knew part of it was just the toddler nose being so small and that they'd grow out of it, like they grew out of drooling all over the place when they were teething. Although Helena was still prone to it as she was currently getting her two back molars and happily chewed on the cold teether he gave her. Both of the girls were healthy and both of them didn't have a fever or any other signs of sickness, apart from a runny nose.
Alex sighed as he checked Helena's ears, seeing they were a little red inside, as he talked to himself. “I don't know, maybe seeing Mama is such a good idea.”
“Mama?” Luna asked, turning towards him and her eyes going wide as she smiled. He was surprised she had heard that and he paused as he realized what he had just done. “I wanna see Mama.”
“I see Mama too,” Helena said eagerly as she started to wiggle her little body in excitement.
However he knew something that would take their mind off seeing Jo. “Okay, who wants to go get ice cream?”
“Ice cream,” Luna shouted and hopped down from the table and ran over to the door and ran out the hallway.
Alex panicked and quickly ran after her and grabbed Luna who still had only her diaper on. “Hey you, what have we told you about opening doors?”
Luna just smiled, “But I get Ice cream, Dada.”
“Alright let's go get ice cream, but first let's get some clothes on missy,” Alex said as he turned around to see Helena also just in a diaper as she toddled down the hall after them. Alex picked up his girls and took them back to the room where he dressed them back up.
He took them to the Cafeteria and got them both an ice cream. Although might as well just left them in her diaper with the amount of ice cream they got all over them. He had to go back to the daycare to change their clothes. However, the distraction worked and the girls didn't ask about Jo. After changing their clothes and sitting with them for lunch he gave the girls back to Ms. Daisy. He kissed both of their heads and promised to check in on them after nap, like he usually did before he went back upstairs to the maternity ward.
He checked his watch. It had been an hour and Jo would probably still be sleeping. Something he absolutely took full advantage of is he went over to the Peds ward again to work on a few cases. It had been three weeks since he had worked and he needed something for his mind to do. Thus for the past few days while Jo napped, he was helping Hayes with a few easy cases and research.
“Hey Karev, how's it going?” Hayes said as he greeted him at the table nurses station, having gone through a pile of charts.
“It's going good.” Alex said as he looked over the case Hayes handed to him. “Jo's actually feeling a lot better these days and the girls are doing better as well. I just took him out for ice cream.”
“That's Good. I heard Jo was asking about the girls.”
“Yeah I think it's just a little too early for her to see them, She still doesn't have her strength and her immune system isn't as strong especially since she’s pregnant.”
“Oh,” Hayes said, raising an eyebrow at him. “Because Jo just came by here and said she was on her way to see you and the girls.”
Alex froze and he realized what Hayes said, “What do you mean you just saw her?”
“She came by in a wheelchair with Levi and they said they were looking for you and the girls, I said I saw you with you over in room 212,” Hayes said not fully realizing what he had just done.
Alex didn't say anything more, he just dropped the file he was reading and ran back to room 212, of course the room was empty and had even been cleaned up by the crew and his wife and her accomplice were nowhere to be found. He should have known Jo would have taken matters into her own hands when he didn't bring the girls up to see her. However he now knew where they were headed as he ran back down to the daycare.
Sure enough when he went up to their room, he spotted Levi and Daisy talking as Jo sat on the floor in a pair of fresh scrubs with a blanket over her lap as she talked with Luna and Helena as they sat in the library area. Luna hung on to her neck and Helena was sitting in her lap as Jo gave them dozens of kisses. Jo even goes as far as wiping their snotty nose with her scrub shirt. This was something he usually wouldn't mind if she had a strong immune system and was not recovering from surgery.
“Jo,” Alex said in a panic as they all looked up and were surprised to see him.
“Hi Dada,” the girls waved to him although they didn't let go of Jo.
“Alexander,” Jo greeted him with a tight smile and Alex knew he was in trouble.
“Okay, why don’t we all go outside,” Alex said with a sigh, trying to get her out of the germ filled daycare as quickly as possible.
“Fine,” Jo said glaring at him before she looked back at Daisy. “Sorry Daisy, I know you're in the middle of diapers and trying to get them down for nap, so we'll change them.”
As she got up without help, Alex rushed over to her. He held his wife and Jo surprisingly didn't lean into him and instead walked without help. Although, she put the girls down and held their hands as they walked out. Even Levi just stood there with her wheelchair. She finally sat back down in the chair and Alex put the blanket over her lap, but the girls quickly climbed up their mother.
“No girls you have to walk out, Mama needs the chair alone,” Alex said, although they didn't listen.
“I ride in the Mama car,” Luna said as she sat on Jo's lap.
“Yeah, I ride in Mama car too, vroom vroom,” Helena said with a laugh that Jo and Luna shared.
“Come on Alex, just drive us to the playground,” Jo said with that same tight smile.
They quickly left the daycare and walked over to the indoor playground. The daycare had two smaller indoor playgrounds that were used year round. The toddler playground climbers and soft giant gym blocks, with a little slide and bikes on a circular track. At this time they were empty as all of the kids had lunch and we're getting ready for nap time. Jo pointed them over to the bathrooms first and handed him the two diapers as he went in and took the girl to the bathroom letting them both sit on the toilet changing them before coming back out and letting them play.
“Why don't we all go get some cars and walk around the bike track,” Levi said, with a nervous smile.
“Stay out of this Levi,” Alex growled at him as Jo returned his look with a glare.
“Don't be rude to him.”
“He helped you escape.”
“I just took her on a walk,” Levi defended himself as he held up his hands.
“I said to stay out of this Levi,” Alex yelled at him again.
“Alex! Stop this is between you and me.” Jo said to him with a glare as he bottled it up for now. “Thank you, Levi, so much for helping me out. Alright girls, say goodbye to your uncle Levi.”
“Leve, no go, I wanna play with you,” Luna protested as she reached out for Levi and he picked her up, giving her a quick hug.
“It's alright Luna-Lu, I'll see you tonight I promise,” Levi said, kissing her cheek before he set her back down and she crawled back into Jo's lap.
“Bye baby,” Helena said she said their little catch phrases to him as she waved him off.
“Bye-bye baby, love you,” Levi said as he waved to them before leaving as Jo and the girls waved back.
Then she sent Luna off to play with Helena as they each hopped on a tricycle and started to go around the track. When they were out of earshot Alex opened his mouth again but Jo shut him up quickly.
“Alexander Karev, I asked you to bring my daughters to see me. I asked you to let me see my children, but you didn’t. You don't ever tell me I can't see my babies when I am perfectly able to do so!” Jo said with a glare of a thousand sun as she turned her mama bear stare on him. She had never done that before and he shrunk back as she did.
“I was just worried about you and the baby,” Alex said with a sigh as he tried to reach out and touch her, knowing it would ease both of them but Jo slapped his hand away as he reeled back in surprise.
“You made the decision that I couldn't see my children,” Jo said as she crossed her arms and looked at Luna and Helena.
As they played, they waved at her and she weighed back sending them a couple of kisses. They both ran back to her and pulled on her arms as they tried to tug Jo up. “Mama come play.”
“Why don't we have Daddy take us on a walk instead,” Jo offered as she lifted them both up into her lap.
“Okay,” they agreed as they both settled in and Jo wrapped the blankets around them.
Alex took a hold of the wheelchair before pushing them in silence. As they walked around, both of the girls got sleepy and they soon fell asleep in Jo's arms. Even she looked tired as she yawned.
Then she reached back and touched his hands looking back at him. “Why don't you take us back to the daycare and we'll drop the girls?”
Alex nodded in agreement as they went back to the daycare, handing the girls over to Ms. Daisy had their beds ready for them and all the other kids were asleep. They put them down and tucked them in and kissed them goodnight before they left.
Jo fiddled with the wheelchair as he tucked the blanket around her. They waved goodbye to Daisy before they walked out of the daycare. They walked through the hall and down to the elevator. It was a silent agreement to go back to the maternity ward as Jo pushed the button for the fourth floor. In the elevator, Jo reached around and grabbed his hand looking up at him with a tired smile. He gave her a little smile before coming round and crouching down in front of her.
“I know, I worry too much, and I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kept the girls from you,” Alex said as Jo nodded in agreement.
“They're my kids too, Alex and my heart aches for them, you know this,” Jo pleaded with him as tears collected in her eyes and he knew she missed the girls already.
“I know and it was selfish of me. How about we do this again every day, but the girls can come up and have lunch with you. You can play with them for a while before we put them down for a nap and hopefully things will settle a bit,” Alex offered with a raised eyebrow and Jo eagerly smiled in agreement.
“How have they been doing, staying with Link and Meredith?” Jo said, as she tilted her head.
Alex looked away from her and just sighed. “It's been rough, Meredith says the girls don't go down unless I call them and if they wake up, it's hard to get them back down.”
“You should take them home and put them to bed in their own beds,” Jo said insistently as she reached up and held his face with her hand. “It'd be good for you to sleep in our bed too.”
“You know I won't,” Alex whispered looking back up at her as Jo nodded.
“I want you to try, but I love you too much to make you.” Jo said with a little smile as she rubbed her some across his cheek.
Alex reached up and kissed her, lingering on her lips for a while. It was a sweet kiss that had both of them melting into each other. He chased her lips for a little while, hoping to stay in this sweet moment, and they did. The elevator seemed to be moving slower today and it gave them a few minutes before the doors opened behind him and he was forced to stand up.
Jo kept a firm grip on his hand as they went back to the maternity ward together. He tucked her into bed again and she fought sleep and she turned on the TV. However, the second he crawled in next to her and put her head on his chest, Jo was asleep. Even Alex took advantage of the quiet with a little nap of his own as the Karev’s rested in peace that afternoon.
