This mansion, which is rumored to be haunted, might be the base of criminal activity.
We came to investigate as part of Crown’s mission.
I chose to work with Lord Elbert. It was within minutes of starting the investigation that I realized this place was truly haunted.
Elbert: Kate, be careful where you step. It seems the floorboards are aging and have become brittle.
Kate: Thank you very much Lord Elbert.. but.. more importantly….
Every time he advances down the hallway, a ghost approaches him.
Ghost of a woman with braids: My… what a beautiful man.
Ghost of a guy with mustache: Ah, yes… that melancholy profile… I can hardly take it.
Ghost of a thin woman: More.. to be.. by your side…
It’s hard to believe, but Elbert’s beauty seems to attract even ghosts.
(So many ghosts…. It’s scary..)
(But I can’t say that out loud. I have to keep an eye on him until the end of the mission so that nothing bad happens to him.)
In contrast to myself - who was incredibly nervous next to him - Elbert moved down the hall gracefully, despite there being so many ghosts surrounding him.
We stopped at the door of the innermost room when he turned to me.
Elbert: Kate, why don’t you start searching each room one by one?
Kate: Uh.. E-.. Lord Elbert.. there are so many ghosts.
Kate: Are you feeling sick in any way?
(Something strange was bound to happen with the ghosts being so clingy.)
Elbert: Ah… at this moment, nothing in particular.
He looks at me and suddenly smiles.
Elbert: There’s no need to worry. I’m used to being surrounded like this.
Elbert: What’s more, ghosts don’t have shadows. I don’t have to worry about stepping on them.
Elbert: It makes it easier to move than usual… it feels nice.
Kate: Heheh… that is true.
(No matter who he is surrounded by, he’s always wary of making the other party sad.)
His kind smile makes me smile too.
Elbert: … I’m glad you smiled.
Elbert took my hand in his.
Elbert: I’m here with you… you’ll be okay.
Kate: Ah… thank you, Lord Elbert.
(He was also concerned about me being scared of the ghosts.)
I’ve been saved by his smile.
(I still need to be vigilant, but since he’s with me, I don’t have to be so scared.)
After seeing that I calmed down, Elbert stopped and opened the door to the room in front of us.
Then-
-a man and woman standing in the center of the bedroom turned to look at us at the same time.
(!! There’s people in a place like this?!)
(Wait— no… they’re also ghosts.)
Their outlines are a bit more distinct than others, but if you look closely you could tell they were slightly transparent.
It’s an out of body experience.
Sexy woman ghost: Oh?? Why you’re so… so beautiful!
Ghost of young man: Finally, I’m glad to see you.
Elbert: ……………
(Although I’m no longer surprised by seeing ghosts… they speak as if they were waiting to see him.)
Sexy woman ghost: All my waiting was worth it to enjoy this!
The eyes of the woman ghost were sparkling at Elbert.
Kate: !!
Elbert: Eh…
Elbert was unable to move, as if he was in a bind.
The ghosts following us suddenly burst forth.
Ghost of a woman with braids: Oooh!! He has such a beautiful figure too!
Ghost of man with mustache: Aaa, aah aaaahhh..!!! I can look at you forever! I must draw you in this!!
Ghost of a thin woman: Ahhh you must join us!
Sexy woman ghost: Hah.. hmm, the ghosts of this mansion are quite lovely aren’t they?
Sexy woman ghost: A human as beautiful as a bisque doll, huh..
Sexy woman ghost: But humans eventually grow old, their bodies decay, right?
Sexy woman ghost: Though the soul.. the soul remains unchanged no matter how many decades pass!
Sexy woman ghost: Why, look at me! I’m as beautiful as ever!
The ghost of that woman who was pleading to him slowly approaches Elbert and whispers seductively in his ear.
Sexy woman ghost: That’s why… you should stay here..
Sexy woman ghost: Would you like to keep that beautiful figure…. and have fun with us?
Kate: Wh- what did you say…
Ghost of young man: Don’t you understand?
A male ghost suddenly cuts in.
Ghost of young man: This woman is right. No matter how beautiful you are, human bodies have a physical limit..
Ghost of young man: If you become like us… you can be with the person you love forever.
Ghost of young man: Isn’t that right, my love?
Sexy woman ghost: Indeed, my soul is unchanging- my love is unchanging!
Sexy woman ghost: Be with the one you love for all eternity!… there is no greater happiness!!
Elbert: The one I love… to be with them forever… an unchanging..love…
Elbert: ……..with Kate…….. forever…….
Elbert: ……….it may be nice.
Kate: Elbert?!-
I felt an unusual presence, and suddenly the room filled with more ghosts.
(What? Ghosts from all over the mansion have come to this room?)
Sexy woman ghost: Heh.. if it’s been decided then..
Sexy woman ghost: ..would you like to join us now?
With that statement as the signal, ghosts emerged from all angles.
It was as if all of them were welcoming in a friend.
Elbert: !….
All the ghosts cling to Elbert, and before I knew it our hands were torn apart.
Kate: Aah!!
The ghosts piled on top of each other around him like one huge mass.
Elbert stood in the center of them, completely covered.
Kate: No!! I don’t want that, you can’t do this! You can’t take him!
I jumped into the mass of spirits, and desperately grasp for Elbert.
My arms reach around him as he stands there, swaying.
Elbert: ..Kate!
Elbert’s gaze met my eyes with a startled look.
Ghost of young man: Ah, of course you too.
Kate: !!!!
(Shit! I’ll become a spirit too!)
Ghost of young man: You’re going to spend eternity with him. Aren’t you happy?
(……ha.. that may make me happy, but not like this… )
(I can’t let it happen.)
It felt like the very core of my body was being sucked into a vacuum.
I felt myself losing consciousness but tried to stay awake with all my might.
Kate: …E..El-…. El… Elbert..
— even if my resistance was futile
These arms that are holding him… I’ll never let go.
Elbert: ……………
Elbert: … I have no intention of becoming your “friend”.
Kate: !
Elbert: I ….. want to spend my time with Kate in this world.
Elbert: Kate, I …… I can feel the warmth of your hands.. in this world.
Kate: -Elbert!!
He casts a sharp gaze at the ghost lovers.
Elbert: So please… stop this.
Sexy woman ghost/ghost of young man: Kyaah-!/ Wha-?!
With those words from Elbert’s voice, the ghosts were blown back by a terrible force.
At the same time, the pile of spirits that became one body began to disintegrate.
Mass of spirits: !! ~
As soon as the screams of the ghosts disappeared, the room fell silent.
Ghost of young man: Tch, well, well….
The ghost form of the young man had come back together by the side of the woman ghost.
Ghost of young man: It seems they like it as they are.
The man smiled mischievously and fell against the desk.
The woman puffed out her cheeks at this remark.
Sexy woman ghost: Hmmph.. pfft, and here I thought I’d have fun doing this and that with such a beautiful person.
Kate: ! ?
Ghost of young man: ..You wouldn’t have any fun anyway if you forced someone to join, would you? Besides…. you have me.
Sexy woman ghost: Ah.. yes. Can you satisfy me today, too?
Ghost of young man: Why of course. Let’s go to the next room.
Sexy woman ghost: Hehe…. Well. You two take your time.
The woman shoots a sultry look at the man before they disappear into the white walls.
The room fills with silence once again.
Kate: …what in the world just happened?…
Elbert: ….. I don’t know. But..
Elbert hugs me tightly.
(Ah-)
Elbert: We’re certainly still alive, I'm here.
Kate: ….Elbert
My anxieties and fear welled up as I buried my face in his chest.
In response, his arms wrapped around me stronger.
Kate: I’m so glad you’re safe.
Kate: I wondered what to do if you did become interested in being a ghost.
Elbert: …..I’m sorry I made you worry.
Elbert: …Being with you forever, a future like that….. it is one of my wishes. So I did consider it.
Elbert: But just then, I felt your touch… and I decided not to choose that.
Kate: From my touch?
Elbert: Your hand that touched me was so warm.
Elbert: Your warmth which I love.
Elbert: The moments that you hold me and love me…. I can’t let go of them.
When I saw him smile, I felt even warmer.
Elbert: I feel like it’s a shame I missed the chance to be with you forever….
Elbert: I haven’t given up on that sentiment though… I’ll keep searching for a way.
Elbert: I will forever seek out everything that concerns you.
Kate: Elbert…
(Looking for a way to stay with me forever is the same as continuing to seek my existence.)
I will gladly answer his greedy calling with all my being.
Elbert: … Kate.
Elbert: I want to feel more of your warmth.
Sea-blue eyes laced with heat start to approach me-
Kate: Nn-…
His moist lips meet mine, and he slips his tongue inside.
The silence in the room was painted over by the sound of water as we sought each other's bodies.
With a thud my back slammed against the wall, I felt his palm trace upwards on my thigh, sliding under my dress hem.
Kate: Unn… El… Elbert..
Elbert: Your facial expressions, your voice…. give me everything.
Kate: Aah-
One of my legs was suddenly lifted—
A hot and throbbing, swollen feeling was pressed against my sensitive spot, moistened with anticipation.
(I can feel him… his heat.. his essence.)
Elbert: At this moment….. I want to steal your beautiful self, I want to take you away…
I give in to the pulsating heat and his dripping breath-
-and lost myself in a beautiful dream.
—
I tried to support my back, which was feeling weak.
As I was leaning against Elbert for support, trying to catch my breath:
Sexy woman ghost: …ah hehehehe… you showed me something nice indeed.
Kate: UH!???
The ghost of the woman from earlier was peaking through the wall, only half of her body was visible.
(They…. They saw??!!?!)
Elbert: ….. you’re still here.
Ghost of young man: Oh we just wanted to make sure you guys were satisfied.
The ghost pops out of the wall.
(Even.. a man… saw..)
I feel so embarrassed I simply want to disappear.
Sexy woman ghost: ……ahhh I’m jealous of you. Heyyy, I want to feel you toooo.
She says this as she turns to the male ghost.
Sexy woman ghost: I want to make passionate love to you just like these young kids.
Ghost of young man: If that is your wish…. Shall we go to the next life?
Sexy woman ghost: To meet you again…. I’ll definitely find you. That’s my promise.
Ghost of young man: Ah, of course.. I will find you. That is my promise as well.
The two forms become one, and they shine brighter in that moment.
Then, they were gone.
Suddenly the air in the room becomes lighter.
Kate: ….. this means they.. passed on?
Elbert: Mm, most likely…
(The words of that woman had deeply swayed me. It seems certain that they truly desire each other.)
Kate: Those two… I hope they can find and love each other in the next life.
Elbert: …. Ah. I hope so.
As he said that, a kiss fell on my neck. The heat within me stirred.
Kate: Nn! Lord Elbert!….. we’re still on a mission…
(Because just a while ago… I was so caught up by him..)
Elbert: …even on missions, I need to take breaks.
I tried to gently push him off, but it led nowhere. He kissed me on the nape of my neck, then on my cheeks.
An achingly sweet feeling arises.
Elbert: You look beautiful even when you’re troubled like this. I can’t get enough of you.
Elbert: I want you as you are now.
Kate: Nn..
My lips were bitten, stolen without asking.
(I feel the same as you.)
Eventually we may end up like those ghosts, in a world I don’t know, two spirits as one.
(So while I’m still alive… while I’m in this body… I want to feel his skin, his warmth, to the fullest.)
Intertwining, mind and soul, savoring each other’s existence.
We’ll enjoy this lifetime, together.

06 . . . “ drowning in the shallows ”
— 🐚 elbert’s main route chapter 6 his side story. thanks to @myusuchaa for providing a recording! 🥺🫶
— this translation may not be 100% accurate or may contain creative liberties for characterization or narrative flow purposes. if you enjoy, please consider reblogging, but don’t repost or claim these as your own!
— cw: objectification, non-consensual touching, bullying.
——It was as though I was drowning in the shallows.
(I wonder if Kate is alright.)
When I saw that she was by Al’s side from my peripheral vision, though, I let out a sigh in relief.
(...Thank goodness.)
Middle-aged gentleman: Oh, you mustn’t turn away from me. Look at me, Elbert.
Elbert: …Alright.
Middle-aged gentleman: Truly, your beauty is second to none.
Green-eyed lady: Elbert, turn toward me as well… My, are you a little short on sleep, perhaps?
Elbert: …I’m fine.
White-haired lady: Are you sure? You aren’t so scared you can’t sleep, aren’t you? I can sing you a lullaby again.
Elbert: …Thank you.
I was showered with admiration that I was beautiful.
Gazes would tangle with each other, and hands would reach out toward me.
And every time, I would push down the discomfort I felt rushing through me, and swallow down the nausea threatening to overflow.
(...I, can’t breathe.)
They were distant relatives of mine, and so, after my father’s death, they would try to ‘love’ me in excess.
At times like these, it was always the same — it felt like I was drowning.
Even so, I would bear it without moving from where I was, and for me, that was my only choice.
Because, if I tried to breathe again and move from where I was, my Curse would make the people around me sad.
The discomfort, and the repulsion, too——
I accepted it all, as it should be.
Elbert: ......
But, even so, I could never grow accustomed to the way they touched me, as though leaving their fingerprints so that it clung to my body.
My breathing felt like it would lose its rhythm at any moment, so I numbed my own heart to bear it.
And at that moment, I suddenly felt someone gently touch my elbow.
(......) [surprised]
The hand touching my body — its touch somewhat hesitant as though concerned for me — was not my own, and yet, it felt much more comforting...
...and when I turned around, there I saw Kate, her brows furrowed in worry.
Kate: Lord Elbert, it would appear as though the host has not yet arrived… so, would you care to come outside?
Elbert: …Kate.
Kate: U, um… your complexion looks slightly pale, and so I figured going outside for some fresh air would benefit you…
(Ahh...)
(I’ve made you sad again.)
And yet, just a single word from her was like magic, as it became easier to breathe, dispeling that which had been making me suffer.
It made me want to cling onto that hand which extended toward me, and rise up from the deep depths of the water that threatened to drown me.
(But... I can’t.)
(I, can’t move from here.)
(Not until I have the ‘most beautiful thing in the world.’)
I stood where I was, unable to take her hand and return the gesture.
——That would bring about my own ruin. [1]
Green-eyed lady: I apologize, but who might you be? Elbert, is she a new guard or something else of the sort?
Green-eyed lady: If that is the case, then excuse me, but your dress looks like it’s weeping. Not to mention your conduct is quite disgraceful.
(...!)
The sharp point of the spear that should have been pointed toward me was now facing her, baring its fangs.
Middle-aged gentleman: Haha, there is no need to go that far; I feel bad for her now.
Middle-aged gentleman: Young miss, we have been Elbert’s acquaintances since he was young. So, would you mind staying out of this?
(...Stop this.)
The feelings, which had become dull and muddy as it robbed me of my breathing from within the depths of my chest,
tried to pull the chains, crawling out from within.
Middle-aged gentleman: Are you listening, young miss?
Kate: …!
Grabbing her jaw, he roughly lifted her face so that she had to look up.
(Please, don’t hurt her...)
Middle-aged gentleman: Now, that just won’t do, a rubbish stone like you, standing among the finest gem in the showcase.
White-haired lady: Truly… she is a disgrace to beauty.
Middle-aged gentleman: What is that look in your eyes?
The moment when those eyes, directed toward Kate, became clouded in wrath,
The discomfort and the repulsion, and the sadness and anger all became a chaotic mess as they mixed together——
and spilled from my throat.
Elbert: ……Could you stop?
(She... has not committed a single sin.)
——She was strong, and kind.
Even when the sins before her eyes tried to hurt her, she tried her best to look forward with a smile.
Even when she lamented over the things that had hurt her, she tried to not let sadness consume her.
And, when she thought of another’s happiness——she would look so happy as she smiled.
Kate was like the shell she found at the beach — as pure as the snow.
(There is no reason for Kate to receive this kind of slander...)
(...Not a single one.)
Elbert: Touching her, criticizing her… please stop that.
E: ...Please.
It was like my throat, filled to the brim with something muddy on the brink of overflowing, had squeezed out those words in a murmur.
They at last let go of her jaw.
Middle-aged gentleman: ...If you say so, Elbert, I suppose it cannot be helped.
White-haired lady: I apologize, that may have been a little uncouth of me. I will be careful from now on.
Green-eyed lady: Let us meet again, Elbert. In a quiet place no one can interrupt, that is.
They looked somewhat disappointed, but nonetheless they tried to distance themselves.
(...Thank goodness.)
(Now Kate doesn’t have to go through any more pain.)
But——
Kate: W-wait.
Kate’s brows were furrowed as she, for some reason, called out to stop them.
(...Kate?)
Kate: If it’s possible, could you treat him the same way you treat me?
Elbert: ... [surprised]
Middle-aged gentleman: ...What you are saying is beyond me.
Kate: I’m saying that you could greet him more normally...
White-haired lady: ...Don’t get full of yourself. You are naught but a stranger; do not speak with me ever again.
With those biting words, they left Kate alone for sure this time.
This entire time, I couldn’t take my eyes off of her — not once.
(Kate is strong, and kind.)
(Even when she knows her actions will hurt herself, she tries to face them nevertheless.)
—— Flashback ——
???: Uu... hu... hic...
Kate: ...! Sorry about that...!
Elbert: ...!
—— End flashback ——
——Just like that day when she had pushed my chest away and ran to Daisy’s side in the pool of blood,
she was trying to pull me out from the water’s depths.
(Every time I feel that strength of hers, and that kindness, too, I...)
(...I can never, look away from her.)
Elbert: Kate...
Kate: ...I’m sorry, even though I don’t know your circumstances, I did something out of turn.
Elbert: ...No... you have no need to apologize.
E: Rather, I apologize for making you see that... I’m sorry.
Kate: But, it’s not your fault...
Elbert: ... [surprised]
Before I knew it, I had become desperate.
Kate: Things like admiration, or love... those are not justifiable reasons to push their selfish desires onto you.
K: Can I ask why, didn’t you resist?
(You are strong, and kind.)
(But...)
(...Maybe, just a little too kind.)
Elbert: ......I’m used to it. And...
E: With that distance, one careless move and... I would have stepped into their shadows.
E: I don’t want to do that to them.
Kate: Lord Elbert, you...
K: ...are too kind.
Elbert: ...That’s not true.
Kate: ...No, it is.
(...She doesn’t know.)
Just how much one’s sad memories could gnaw at one’s heart as if being eaten by worms, or even kill them.
And, just how much this life of mine may be abhorrently cursed.
Neither did she know the sins I have committed — she was privy to none.
(Just as there was no reason for you to be hurt,)
(There was no reason for me to be protected by you... Kate.)
Elbert: ...As I thought, I am not kind.
E: Like now, I’ve made you sad.
I wanted to return that kindness with a smile of my own, but it seemed her sad expression wouldn’t let up.
Just from her eyes, I could tell that she was so wholeheartedly worried for me to the point it hurt...
...and once again, I was able to breathe.
——Is she, beautiful?
I felt like, from the deepest, darkest depths of the hole that was agape in my chest, I could hear a hollow voice.
(...I don’t know.)
(And it’s fine if I still don’t know the answer.)
(Not yet, at least——)

[1] the original line here is [ーーそれが、災いした] (sore ga, wazawai shita). I wasn’t completely sure how to translate it, but 災いする (wazawai suru), the dictionary form of 災いした (wazawai shita), means to ‘bring the ruin of’ or to ‘cause misfortune.’ If anyone’s got a better or more accurate way to translate this, I’m all ears!

Heartache
• Lucifer
They’re your biggest guardians and would break anybody’s neck if it would ensure your safety, but before you got to that point they might have been a little bit senseless.
Living six months together might not seem as much to most people, but that people didn’t had a pact with most of their roommates, nor have they relied on them to stay alive in a new place.
You already felt at home, part of a found family of sorts.
Which is why you had suddenly became more comfortable sharing your opinions during nightly discussions at the house of lamentation. Most of the time your points of views helped to solve any situation that was going on between the brothers.
“That is bullshit!”
“Mammon”
“No! Come on! That would be the third time we have to reschedule a council meeting because Beel has a game! Let’s just get over with it”
Beel finished his second dinner plate, ignoring completely the yelling of Mammon. Lucifer exhaled “ We can’t have the meeting without Beel, Mammon, we can push it for another week, it’s no big deal”
“It is a big deal! I have a huge party planned!” Asmo chimed in at the same time Levi raised his eyes from his devil switch, “Oh no, that won’t happen! I have a raid that day! I’ve been waiting for months!”
Lucifer looked stressed as his brothers kept on saying their excuses. You raised from your seat, trying to get their uh attention.
“Hey, guys, it’s okay. I think that we could probably…” “MC, I think this is more of a family business. Let us deal with it” You found yourself being interrupted by Lucifer’s voice, you stopped mid sentence with a shocked face that you weren’t quick to suppress due to the unexpected comment. “You’re dismissed”
The rest of the table was silenced, almost as surprised as you were “Lucifer-“ “No” you abruptly interrupted, stopping Asmo in his tracks. “He’s right, I should leave you to it” you gave the rest of the brothers a quick smile before getting up. “Good night guys” you closed your chair before walking out of the room.
As you disappeared in your room, you felt ashamed and embarrassed, but also thankful.
Thankful because you had started to feel too comfortable, acting like you were part of them, where you cared for them and they for you. But it wasn’t like that.
You weren’t family, you weren’t even a friend.
You were an exchange student. A human. A chore given to them by Lord Diavolo and nothing else, they probably wouldn’t even talk to you if you weren’t living with them.
You were a task.
Even to this day, after everything that has happened, and after the growing relationships between you all, sometimes, when you’re laughing too hard, when you’re cuddling with them, you can’t stop yourself from thinking “Am I still an outsider?”
HEY! I’m sooooo extremely sorry it took me this long to post something new. I’ve had a ton of ideas and wrote some of them but at the end I get cold feet and stop myself from posting them, I’ve had this one on my notes app for a good amount of days now, I’ve worked on it on different nights when inspiration came and after examining it, I think it’s not as bad as a I thought.
I hope you like it ! I’ll be posting the other bros these next days <3 -B

Yandere tfp Soundwave and shockwave?
Yandere Soundwave Fic:
TFP Yandere Shockwave X Reader
Shockwave doesn’t really feel emotions like everyone else. Yes, he has feelings like anger and pride- but he very rarely felt sad or sympathetic- and never the feeling of love.
When he saw you with the Autobots he just saw you as another annoyance- not someone he would grow to care for.
When Soundwave took Ratchet, you were cradled in Ratchet’s arms. You were his assistant. You didn’t know much about science to start out with, but you were a mechanic. That helped you to be a good medic for basic repairs- eventually you learned a lot more under Ratchet’s care. You were very quick to learn and quickly surpassed him in knowledge (though he would never admit it).
Once on the ship, Ratchet agreed to help Megatron- on the terms you stayed with him the entire time. You were his assistant, and he needed you.
Shockwave objected to having a small being getting in the way of their science, but Megatron told him it would only be temporary.
Shockwave was impressed when he discovered that you were proficient in Cybertronian sciences. This made him wonder about the brain capacity for humans.
Soon enough, he started experiments on humans in a separate lab. He wanted to know all about you and your brain.
When the synthetic energon formula was almost completed, he went to Megatron to ask him a favor.
“Lord Megatron,” he bowed.
“What is it, Shockwave?” Megatron’s eyes never left the datapad he was reading through.
“I would like to keep the human once the use for the autobot medic is no more.”
This made Megatron look up in interest. “Oh?”
Shockwave sucked up his pride to admit that you were better than him. “The human is… incredibly intelligent. They are also barely a threat as long as they are kept under a watchful eye. It would be a waste to simply dispose of them.”
Megatron couldn’t help but smirk. “I see. Well, as long as you prevent another ‘incident’ from happening again, I suppose you can keep it.”
Shockwave wouldn’t let another incident happen again. You had gotten out of the room somehow, and gotten into the dinner hall’s energon supply- which you proceeded to blow up. Three Vehicons were killed, and another seven injured. You were attempting to find a way out when you were cornered, so you tried to escape anyway you could. When they caught you, you weren’t punished out of a worry Ratchet would stop working.
When Ratchet grabbed you up in an attempt to escape, Megatron caught you both. Megatron snatched you up in his claws as he forced you both back into the lab. You were dropped onto a table when Ratchet grabbed you up.
Knockout was there, and he clicked his glossa at you. “Nice try~” he mocked, holding the correct Synthetic Energon recipe.
Shockwave pulled a sample out of a machine. “Spectral analysis confirms- that the synthetic energon is stable.” He held the glass up to Megatron. “The formula is now complete.”
You whispered to Ratchet while they talked. “Ratch, maybe we can try to escape again.” The old bot merely shook his head when Megatron turned to us.
“Ahh, a pity you won’t live long enough to witness the fruits of your labor. But as much as we appreciate your contributions, doctor, I’ve made a promise to someone I intend to keep.”
You’re suddenly plucked from Ratchet's hand and you scream loudly. “No! Let me go!”
You watch as Ratchet is dragged out of the room as you struggle to try to get to him. “Your struggle is illogical. There is no escape.” The deep voice of your captor sounded above you. You looked up at Shockwave with fear.
“What do you want from me? You have the formula! And where did you take Ratchet?!”
His single optic glowed a little bit brighter. “It is illogical to kill you when you possess so much potential. As for your Autobot friend, I suspect that Predaking has already made quick work of him.”
You felt as if your world fell apart around you. “I’ll never work for you.” You say quietly.
Shockwave learned in, inches away from your face. “We’ll see about that. There’s more than one way to get you to do as I want. For example- do you still care for the human children?”
The look of horror on your face was all he needed to see. “It would be a shame if something were to happen to them. The only logical thing to do now is to work with me. Now, hand me the number 13 driver.” Shockwave ordered as he put you onto the table, continuing his work.
You began to cry as you dragged the heavy tool over to him, knowing that you have to do what he says or else he'll take everyone else you love from you.

A Lion in the Garden -Tywin Lannister x Reader- (Part 19)
WARNING: Mentions of miscarriage
—————
My grandmother was arriving from Highgarden today, much to both Margaery’s and my happiness. It had been a long few months without her, especially when I’d been gone in Dorne and Margaery had been the only Tyrell—minus my father—in King's Landing.
I was waiting for her at the gates of the Red Keep, and watching her carriage come through the grand doors made me smile more than I had since winning at the tourney.
The horses stopped, and I instantly approached, watching my grandmother step down and look around with a sigh. She’d never been fond of Kings Landing.
“Hello, dear,” she said as I took her hand and kissed it.
“Grandmother. Welcome back,” I said, and she scoffed, linking our arms as we made our way toward the castle. Our slow pace was convenient, as my stitches had been taken out, but walking was a bit hard if I did it for too long. The maesters assured me that if I continued to take care, I’d be back to normal in about two weeks.
That naturally excited me, because though Tywin and I had continued to… well, enjoy each other, it would be nice to do so without cautious restraint.
“I’m not happy to be back. Dreadful city. Though, when I received that raven I knew I had to come,” she said, patting my hand gently as we went inside.
“I wouldn’t have sent for you under any other circumstance. Margaery loves me, but she needs you here right now, as I’ve been a bit too busy helping Tyrion Lannister manage finances and plotting with the Lord Hand on how to handle Stannis Baratheon should he somehow manage to defeat Robb Stark,” I explained, and my grandmother nodded.
“Yes I’m aware, you’re quite involved. Margaery needs someone who knows her experience, anyways, and as far as I’m concerned, you don’t,” She said, raising an eyebrow at me. I shook my head.
“No, I certainly don’t. It’s happened to you before?”
“It happens to plenty of us, dear. It’s never discussed, but it occurs far too often. It causes far too much pain,” my grandmother said, lamenting what had apparently also happened to her.
I felt my heart sink, and I had no clue what to say or do. All I could do was apologize.
“I’m sorry, grandmother.”
“It was all a long time ago. How has your sister been doing? Relatively, of course,” she asked quietly, not wanting anyone to hear us as we journeyed through all the damned stairs in the castle.
“Slowly but surely she seems to be improving. Though, she hasn’t been eating as much these days, and I believe she’s been spending less time with the king. Cersei made a passing comment about it the other day, asking if she was alright because Tommen had not seen much of her lately. I explained that she had been sick and was recovering, though Cersei clearly did not buy it,” I informed her, watching her nod and sigh.
“Margaery’s going to need to start going outside again if she doesn’t want people to whisper. We’ll keep her away from more tedious things of course, but she needs to maintain her relationship with her husband or else things are going to go very wrong,” my grandmother insisted, quite animated with her free hand.
“She’ll take it better from you.”
“Yes, I know.”
I looked around and sighed, a feeling of dread in my stomach. I felt so bad for Margaery that it often made me sick.
“Oh, I nearly forgot. You’re a bloody fool for going to Dorne with Jaime Lannister,” she said suddenly, though I realized it was most likely because I was struggling with the stairs.
“It was fun, grandmother, and both Myrcella and Tyrstane are safe. Plus, they’re to marry at the end of this week,” I said, watching her roll her eyes.
“Fun. You are utterly ridiculous, (Y/N). You love jumping into the wreck, don’t you?”
“It’s certainly my biggest flaw, grandmother.”
“The two children are quite eager, aren’t they? You’ve only been back for two weeks now,” she noticed, to which I nodded and laughed.
“Yes, they certainly are eager. They are both good people, though. Cersei gave me a genuine thank you when I brought her daughter home,” I said, making her laugh.
“That would've been a sight! She detests the whole pack of us, only the gods know why. Perhaps she doesn’t like the thought of her mother being replaced,” my grandmother guessed, laughing even more as she whispered the last bit to me.
“Oh please, grandmother, for the last time, I’m not-“
“Enough, (Y/N). Lord Tywin already told me the two of you kissed. I suspect you’ve done much more than that since then,” she scoffed, waving her hand at me in annoyance.
I remembered then, that Tywin had said she’d made him promise to marry me after bedding me. I thought perhaps she’d done it as part of her assumptions about us, not based on actual evidence. Though, I was not entirely surprised. Nor was I upset, somehow. If Tywin had truly wanted to keep it secret from everyone, he wouldn’t have told my grandmother a thing.
Perhaps he didn’t mind telling people because he thought… there might be something more to our relationship?
“We have not done more since then. And either way, I’m certainly not replacing Lady Joanna. Tywin has a special place in his heart for her,” I said, shaking my head.
“Try telling Cersei that.”
I sighed, knowing my grandmother was right. I hoped that someday Cersei would come to tolerate me, but I found the chances of that oddly slim. Then again, it seemed anything was possible now that I was in love with the man I’d hated for a lifetime.
—————
Olenna and Margaery were sitting together, and though Margaery felt bad for making her grandmother come to King's Landing, she knew it was what she needed.
“I know it’s hard, my dear, and I’m so sorry. You’re still young though, and it doesn’t mean you won’t be able to have children,” Olenna assured her, taking her granddaughter's hand from across the table. Margaery nodded and looked down, pressing her lips together.
“I just- I wonder if it was something I did. Or rather, something I didn’t do. I wonder if it was my fault,” She whispered, making her grandmother shake her head.
“No, my dear, it wasn’t any of that. Children die in the womb all the time, only the gods know why. I’ve gone through it too, and look where I am now. I have three wonderful grandchildren to make up for my disappointing son,” she said, making Margaery laugh for the first time since she had miscarried.
“What was it… what was it like, for you?” Margaery questioned, fidgeting with her hands.
“It wasn’t easy. I was a bit farther along than you, and your grandfather already knew I was pregnant. He was thankfully supportive, but it took me a long time to move on. You don’t have that luxury, my dear,” Olenna said, making Margaery look down once more and furrow her eyebrows with a distinct sadness.
“I don’t want Tommen to know. He’ll let it slip to Cersei and Tywin without even realizing the implications,” Margaery said softly, knowing that this was something she’d had to suffer through alone. A pain she would always have to keep a secret.
“Which means you’re going to have to resume public life much faster than you’d like to. You don’t have to be ambitious just yet, but perhaps you ought to stay with the king in his bed tonight, and walk with him in the gardens tomorrow,” Olenna suggested, knowing that if Margaery remained secluded for too long rumors would inevitably spread and her relationship with Tommen might be affected.
“What if he wants to… to…”
“Let him down gently. Tommen’s a sweet boy, if you tell him you just want to hold him, he’ll comply. He probably won’t think anything of it,” Olenna said, to which Margaery nodded.
“As for Cersei and Tywin, don’t worry yourself. So long as Tommen doesn’t know, Cersei won’t. Even if Tywin knew, he wouldn’t dare do anything, your sister would take his head,” she continued, to which Margaery smiled a bit.
“I feel bad for (Y/N). I’m worrying her, I know I am,” she said softly, making Olenna scoff and shake her head.
“Don’t even think about (Y/N), her feelings in this don’t matter. What matters now is you, my dear,” she assured her granddaughter, hand to her cheek. Margaery simply nodded, which Olenna took a sign to move on from the topic. The last thing she wanted to do was make the trauma and pain worse by discussing it too much.
“Now, tell me what I’ve missed, dear girl.”
“Kings Landing has been quite boring, I’m afraid. Besides a small uprising of religious fanatics, which were crushed quite promptly, nothing has caused any problems,” Margaery informed with a shrug. Olenna nodded.
“And what of your sister? Anything new?”
“Well, (Y/N) was the champion in the tourney, and she went to Dorne just before the wedding, though you already know both of those things,” Margaery said with a soft laugh.
“Believe me, when I learned of it, I was in the right mind to send down our best guards and retrieve her from King's Landing. Even more so when I heard that she’d accompanied Jaime Lannister to Dorne. Your sister is a complete idiot. It’s good to know I at least have one smart grandchild,” Olenna complained, a distinct aggravation in her voice. Meanwhile, Margaery found she could not stop laughing. She was extremely grateful you’d send for Olenna.
“I’m certain Tywin Lannister would’ve thanked you for doing it. I wish you’d been there, grandmother. He kept yelling for the match to stop while (Y/N) was fighting, and he was shaking. I would’ve sworn I saw a tear slide down his cheek when she was being choked. I’ve never seen a man look more terrified in my life,” she said softly, as if worried someone might hear what she was saying. Olenna nodded and sipped her wine, swallowing as she processed everything.
“Do you think he’s bedded her yet?”
“It’s hard to say, but if I could place my bets I would say yes. The day (Y/N) left for Dorne, Ser Elias came up to me and asked if I knew where she was, to which I responded ‘no, should I?’” She began, pausing for dramatic effect, “apparently she’d told him that she was spending the night in my chambers. I covered for her of course, but it was rather odd, and when I saw her later that day she looked unusually happy.”
Olenna merely nodded, and Margaery thought it was rather odd. She would’ve expected her grandmother to laugh. She did not know, of course, that a promise had been broken. Well, the Queen of Thorns would not let that stand.
—————
Tywin Lannister was making his way up the tower of the hand, returning from the King's chambers, where he had informed Tommen that he planned to lead 500 men to Winterfell to destroy Stannis. He expected to leave in a little over a week, though he knew you would not be happy with it and would most likely demand to come along. When he’d agreed to send 500 men, you expected he would send another to lead for him, such as Kevan. But, in all honesty, he missed battle just as much as you did. More than anything, he just wanted to leave King's Landing for a month or so.
Admittedly, he didn’t want to leave you. Dorne had been miserable for him, but he tried to rationalize how much he missed you by telling himself it was merely because he was worried about your safety.
While you’d been gone though, he had truthfully realized something else. It had been eating at him since you’d returned.
“Lord Hand, Lady Tyrell is here to see you.”
Tywin had reached his chambers, and was surprised when the guards said that. Had you really climbed all the stairs? He knew you were mostly healed, but it seemed a bit strenuous all the same.
Opening the door and going inside, he looked around and did not see you. Were you in his bedroom?
He ventured to find out, licking his lips somewhat anxiously at the thought of you waiting for him in bed.
However, as he pushed open the door, he found your grandmother sitting at the small table in his room. There was a distinct shock in his eyes, and it gave Olenna great satisfaction.
“Lord Tywin, how lovely to see you. I have a feeling the sentiment is not shared, though. You were expecting my granddaughter, I would guess,” she said, rising from her seat and clasping her hands together.
“I did not realize you arrived today, Lady Olenna,” he said sharply, standing straighter and making sure that the initial shock on his face was nowhere to be seen.
“Either way, the guards did tell you Lady Tyrell was waiting for you inside, and your first instinct was to come to the bedroom,” she noted, to which he scoffed and looked away from her. He would not tolerate this.
“And that is relevant, why?”
Olenna merely laughed, sitting back down and pouring herself some wine.
“You’ve broken your promise, Tywin,” she noted, looking over at him smugly. He raised an eyebrow, sitting down across from her.
“I have done no such thing.”
“Then would you care to explain why my granddaughter has dresses in your closet?” She interrogated, making Tywin suck in his cheeks for just a moment. He was backed into a corner now, was it better to admit it or continue to resist?
“I don’t blame you, Tywin. My granddaughter is quite beautiful, and I was aware that your restraint would tire eventually. I’d only like you to be honest with me so that I might be honest with you,” she said, watching Tywin pour himself some wine and take a rather large sip.
“I would like you to know that (Y/N) presented herself to me, and that I attempted to protest. I had every intention to maintain my promise,” he told her after a moment, watching as she began to laugh.
“Oh, she’s just like me, that girl. And, it’s quite a thing isn’t it? You attempted. Come now, Tywin, we both know that’s certainly not the same as maintaining it. You wanted my granddaughter, just as she wanted you.”
Tywin involuntarily fidgeted with the ring on his finger. The one you had given him.
“I’ll be honest, yes I did. And I don’t regret it,” he said sharply, trying to maintain his confidence before your grandmother.
“I’m glad, because now it’s time you actually uphold that promise. You recall just as well as I do what you vowed to do once you began to bed her,” Olenna remarked, watching the Old Lion look down into his lap.
“I need more time.”
“Perhaps you should’ve considered that before you decided to bed my granddaughter. I’m going to be frank with you, Tywin. My son intends to accept another marriage proposal for (Y/N) by the end of this week, and to have another one of her suitors end up dead will not look coincidental. If you have any intention of ever marrying my granddaughter, you ought to ask her now,” Olenna explained, watching fire ignite in Tywin’s eyes at the mention of another man marrying you.
“I still have time. Even if the proposal is accepted, I have until the wedding planning begins. Your son might be an idiot, but he’s not so stupid he won’t understand that marrying his daughter to me makes infinitely more sense than some boy from a liege house,” Tywin reasoned.
“Of course, but then it will create conflict. Whichever damn lord my son intends to give her to will naturally be upset that the engagement was called off, and perhaps even more upset at House Lannister. Should that liege house decide to try and do something to spite you, you would feel compelled to do what you’ve always done and destroy them. Now, when that happens, there’s a unique dilemma for House Tyrell. Not only would we be failing to protect a liege house, but we’d be marrying our eldest child to the person that committed the assault. You need to propose now, Tywin, that’s all there is to it,” Olenna said sharply, making sure that Tywin completely understood the repercussions of him deciding to wait. The lion would keep his promise or watch the woman he loved be married off, there was no debate or compromise.
Tywin sat there in silence, knowing your grandmother was right. It did have to be now, lest he hold his silence forever and be forced to see you married to some pathetic boy and swell with his children.
No.
It was time now, and Tywin knew it just as well as your grandmother did. And the truth of it was, he did want to marry you. He wanted to claim you as his wife and spend the rest of his years with you, even if they should be only a few. But there was an underlying fear in him, especially as he recalled what you’d said the night the two of you had laid together for the first time.
You weren’t ready to marry him either.
He doubted that in the last two months or so that had changed, and it made him beyond anxious.
“What are you thinking, Tywin? Men like you don’t usually stay quiet for very long,” Olenna said, interrupting his thoughts.
“I’ve already procured a ring for your granddaughter. I’ve been intending to give it to her since she returned from Dorne,” he replied after a moment, watching Olenna’s eyebrows raise with surprise. She certainly had not expected that of him.
“A ring?”
“She gave me this one as a testament of our good relationship. I’d like to give her one of her own as a testament to my devotion to her. As a testament of my- my love,” he explained while showing her the ring you had given him so long ago. Your grandmother smiled at him.
“How romantic of you, Tywin. I would not have expected it.”
“I am worried she won’t accept it,” he said, ignoring the previous comment made and pouring himself more wine.
“You’re worried she won’t accept your marriage proposal? Don’t be ridiculous, Lord Tywin,” she remarked with a scoff, believing the man to be exaggerating or unnecessarily nervous.
“Before she left for Dorne was the first time I took her into my bed. Before I did, I told her that you had requested that I did not bed her without requesting her hand shortly afterwards. In response, she said that she understood I was not ready to marry her, just as she was not ready to marry me. If her sentiments have changed in the last month or so, then I am unaware,” he explained, watching her nod.
“Let me ask you something then. Before that night, did you already want to marry her?”
“No. I felt our relationship was too young.”
“And since then your sentiments have changed?”
Tywin paused, nodding and looking away from Olenna’s satisfied smirk.
“Then naturally, Tywin, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that my granddaughter's sentiments are still what they were.”
“Even so, I don’t want to pressure her. She’s always expressed a desire to live her life the way she wants to, and I’m not going to take that from her.”
“She doesn’t have a choice, Tywin. It’s you or a liege lord. My son is clearly relentless, and I’ve already been trying to slow him down. She’s not getting any younger, and she does need to marry and have children,” Olenna said, despite wishing you didn’t need to. She’d enjoyed watching you grow into yourself, and had always dreaded the day you got married. Somehow, though, she felt you would thrive with Tywin Lannister for a husband.
“Even if she marries me, it’s important to consider that she-“
“She detests the idea of children, I’m aware. Perhaps it’s a good thing given that you’re so much older than she is,” she noted after a moment, leaving the bait out. Tywin had no clue it was a test.
“It’s not the idea of children that she detests, it’s losing her freedoms with it. She’s excellent with her younger siblings, and I have no doubt in my mind she would make an excellent mother. However, (Y/N) would kill herself if that’s all she was ever permitted to be,” he corrected, watching as a smile appeared on your grandmother's face. It reassured her, in a sense. It made her feel that perhaps Tywin truly did understand you, and it was not a lustful fling.
“And so, I will come to my next point. Something I have meant to speak with either you or your son about before asking (Y/N)’s hand in marriage. Something I am going to demand,” he began, standing up to assert a certain level of confidence and dominance in the conversation. Olenna remained unphased.
“You’re not in much of a position to make demands, Lord Tywin. Either you marry my granddaughter or somebody else will,” she said, raising both eyebrows at him to demonstrate just how genuine her statement was.
“Tell me, Lady Olenna, if your son found out I was not only willing, but actually quite eager to marry your granddaughter, what do you imagine he would say?” Tywin questioned, already knowing exactly what the response would be, of course.
“He would most likely jump up and down while clapping his hands together, the pathetic fool,” she mumbled, remembering just how excited Mace had been upon hearing Margaery would marry Joffrey.
“Precisely. Your son is more eager to marry (Y/N) to me than (Y/N) is to be married to me. Therefore, I am in the position to be making demands. Demands that he is not going to like, mind you, but demands that he will fulfill in order to marry his daughter to me,” Tywin asserted, making Olenna’s face twist with distinct annoyance. Gods, Tywin Lannister really was an insufferable cunt, wasn’t he? She had not a clue as to what you liked about him.
“You love and desire my granddaughter far too much to ever give her up, Tywin. Let’s not pretend that I’m a blasted fool.”
“Correct. I have every intention to take her as my wife, but your son doesn’t know that, and I would threaten to reject her should he not give in. Don’t look so annoyed, you’ll like this demand.”
“But my son won’t?”
“No.”
“Very well, what is it?”
“I will marry (Y/N) on one condition: she must remain head of the Tyrell army until she can no longer hold a sword. That is my demand,” Tywin said sharply, watching Olenna’s eyes widen.
“My son is not going to give into that demand easily.”
“Nevertheless, he will if he wants to see his eldest daughter married to the richest man in Westeros,” Tywin assured her, knowing the kind of man your father was. He would complain, and then he would do as he was bid.
“What if he does not? The one thing he’s quite unrelenting in is making Loras the new head once (Y/N) has been wed,” Olenna questioned, knowing just how strongly your father felt about the subject.
“He will.”
“Yes, you’re right. But hypothetically, what if he does not? Would you truly sacrifice marriage to my granddaughter over it?” She asked, genuinely curious now. Tywin did seem quite confident in the fact that Mace would accept his request.
“No, of course not. I would give (Y/N) anything on earth that she desires, and if she desires to be my wife, then she will be. It’s exactly why I am making this demand. She desires to fight, she desires to lead. So she will,” he said simply, knowing that any other man might’ve been blind to your misery as merely a wife and mother. But no, Tywin would not see you unhappy, even despite his concerns. He would rather watch the garden be overgrown than see it barren after he had cut everything back.
Olenna merely nodded at the man, rising from her chair with a distinct satisfaction. It was odd for Olenna to consider that Tywin Lannister, the coldest, most brutal man in all seven kingdoms seemed entirely enslaved to your wishes.
Just as he had been a good husband to Joanna, your grandmother was confident he would be good to you. Somehow, she got the strange feeling that deep down, Tywin Lannister was a romantic. She likened him to something such as ember, once soft and hardened after all these years.
Of course, he’d been rather harsh even as a boy, but it seemed those who managed to find a way into Tywin Lannister’s heart would have his utmost loyalty and devotion. So long as they did not do something that might remove that sentiment, anyways.
He was a small, sturdy fortress. Fiercely protecting the few that could fit within his walls, and easily repelling those that did not.
Yes, you would do well with Tywin Lannister for a husband, your grandmother had not a single doubt about it. And even more than that, you would be happy.
Olenna wanted to laugh at the thought. Two years ago, even she would not have been able to conjure up the thought of you marrying Tywin Lannister, for love especially. Yet, even now, at 28 years old, you continued to surprise your grandmother. She supposed you always would.

I got up and immediately turned to grandfather's book he had left me, searching the pages for any possible answers as to why I ended up back here. I flipped through each page and when I thought there was no hope, another sheet of paper fell out.
“My dearest granddaughter,
By this point you should be in the basement again. Your head hurts too, right? I know how it feels, I remember how much it hurts.
That’s besides the point! I’m glad you found this letter and now that you’ve read this, I want to warn you not to be too attached with those whom you encounter on your journey. If you get too attached, the departure is what will hurt most.
Many of those whom you encounter will be from your memories, others will be from the future. I would highly advise you to learn and remember as much as you can from each time jump, okay?
And please, be careful.
Love, Grandfather”
I continued to flip through the pages, nothing strikes my fancy quite like the very last page did. It was embellished with multiple pictures and cut-out snippets from old newspapers.
“Adventure is in the unexpected” it read, as soon as those words left my mouth, the air changed as it got warmer. Suddenly I heard my name being called, it was my mother, she was calling my name.
I put the book down and ran to where my mother was calling me. The interior looked different again, the walls were now a warm beige. When I arrived at the kitchen, my mother looked younger as well. However this time, she wasn’t alone, she was accompanied by another woman and her son.
“Honey, I want you to meet Mrs. Bae and her son, Jacob”
“Hi” the boy shyly said, waving to me softly
I waved back and bowed towards them and turned to my mother with a questioning look
“Oh yes, that’s right! Honey, Jacob will be your guitar tutor!”
“Oh, okay” I responded nonchalantly as I turned to rummage through the fridge for some snacks, I wasn’t super thrilled since my mother had practically forced me into guitar. She said I wasn’t good at piano, so guitar was apparently the next best thing.
“Honey, why don’t you take Jacob up to your room so you can get started”
I felt bad, but I rolled my eyes and dragged the poor boy to my room and shut it before face planting into the nearest stuffed animal
“Are you okay?” I heard, forgetting that Jacob was in my room
“Yeah, I’m sorry my mother dragged you here”
“Oh, no that’s okay. She said she’d pay me”
“Really? So you must be really good then” I quipped at the boy, he had the most angelic like features, but I had to throw all my thoughts out the window since he would be my guitar tutor for lord knows how long.
“I’ve been playing for sometime, but I’m really not that great”
“Oh shut up! You’re the one I hear playing every Saturday morning, aren’t you?” At this, Jacob chuckled lightly as he began tapping his palm against his thigh.
“Yeah, does it bother you? I can stop if you’d like”
“Are you kidding me? You’re amazing! Can you teach me how to play like that?”
Jacob enthusiastically nodded his head as he took a seat on your bed and grabbed your guitar from the side of the bed
“First, you want to familiarize yourself with the feeling of holding a guitar, okay?”
I nodded, Jacob began his first lesson teaching me all the basics from fret numbers to chords. My fingers hurt from how hard I would have to press to strum each note, but nonetheless I pushed through. With that, the first lesson went by like a snap. Each lesson was roughly an hour long, but they never felt long because Jacob was so kind and patient.
Jacob would be over 3 times a week for his lessons, and before I knew it, I didn’t need him anymore. I could play by myself and I was becoming quite proficient. My mother was pleased, she would have me play after dinner for the family to help close out the night.
Once Saturday arrived, I remembered how I would hear Jacob strumming a melody, so this morning I decided to surprise him. I quickly got ready and hopped out to my balcony that faced him and waited for him to join.
“Y/n?”
“Hi”
“What are you doing out here so early?”
“I thought I would join you, if that’s okay with you?”
“Of course!”
The two of us played well into the afternoon, and once our mini duet had ended, we could hear an applause coming from the neighborhood along with a few whistles.
“Thanks for playing with me today, see you next week!” Jacob shouted before making his way back inside his bedroom.
Jacob was always the sweetest with me, he was not only my guitar tutor, but also my neighbor and classmate from school. We did many things together, including performing at our school's talent show.
You could say we were inseparable, he was always around me up until I had to leave that is. It all came crashing down one night, I couldn’t tell him, but I knew it was time. The only way he’d know is if I left him a note, and that was what I did.
“Dear Jacob,
You may not understand now, but I have to leave. Thank you for so many wonderful memories, you have been so kind and I am so sorry to leave you like this.
Promise you that you won’t wait on me, okay?
I love you.
I hope you see you in another lifetime.
Love,
Y/n”
Jacob’s tears soaked through the note as he cried, his mother delivered him the note the same morning I left. Y/n was the closest thing to love he had ever felt, why did Y/n have to leave he thought, and in another lifetime?
It was the next morning that I woke up in the same basement, cold and tired, but this time my face was wet with tears. Grandfather was right, I shouldn’t get attached to those I find in each time shift, but it was so hard.

7. Silent fury
Kunrad screams and something gets slammed to the ground, breaking on impact. Probably one of the family’s dusty glasses which were left on the table for decades and Noahn never bothered to pick up. The dry laugh of the soldier that accompanied him follows and Noahn can feel from three rooms away how tense Kunrad becomes. How his fists clench until his nails leave marks on the insides of his hands, how his shoulders shake, tired bones grinding against each other while the sweat drips all over him.
“She’s not coming! How can she say no? She’s not-” He stops himself, his breath out of control, the air leaving his body before it has any chance to use it.
“All the efforts I’ve taken, all the shame this task entails, To waste my time like this?”
“You think Lady Theodora’s orders bring you shame?” The soldier speaks in a much lower tone, with a careful enunciation. Not what Noahn was expecting of him, “Is that it? Oh, I cannot wait to tell the Lord Captain what your tantrums have told me, Master of Whispers.”
Kunrad clenches his jaw so fast he bites his own tongue. The pain makes his eyes water but he restrains his muscles to let any other sign that he’s hurt show. Noahn wonders if the gloom of the forsaken place would be enough to hide it from the other man, but they doubt it. The muscles of the soldier’s face are already forming a mocking smile.
“You think I’ve forgotten why you’re here and how you have to return to our Mistress, Voigtvir… and that’s not going to work out for you.”
“Emperor preserve me,” Kunrad interrupts, his words showing his exhaustion, “threatening me is not going to help us but sure Mort, why not? Let it out already.” He turns to pull one of those expensive wooden chairs close to him and slumps over it.
“Fine then, try to suggest with careful, spy-like words that we put a Valancius on a trunk. That we knock one down and store her somewhere safe on our way back. You have fantasized about that a bit, haven’t you? Or…” Mort is stuck in the same position, most likely looking for something the spymaster could be hiding but Kunrad stays undisturbed, massaging his temples and refusing to look up. Still, blood is rushing to his face, more than it should.
They’re practically sitting the same way, him and Noahn. He just doesn’t know it.
Mort however has given up on his examination and is now sighing, rapping his fingers on the table.
“I cannot believe I have to say it, man. Are you so obtuse?” He walks up to Kunrad and the spymaster finally looks up. “Offer them something they want.”
“I already did.” Kunrad scoffs, ”You were there, arch militant.”
“No, Voigtvir, you didn’t. You listed things we could give away for cheap but you didn’t ask what we would have to do so we can all leave this shithole together.”
“This distinction could only matter to you.” Kunrad starts to roll his eyes, stops before he is noticed but keeps waving his hand back and forth. “She won’t leave this cesspit for some reason. Family, maybe?”
“Then figure out what this reason is.” He hits Kunrad’s shoulder, hard enough to make him flinch. “Think about it, wouldn’t you get an advantage in your little games with the Seneschal if it turns out that ‘family, maybe’ is the answer? Two for the price of one, eh?” The arch militant paces around the room, clearly frustrated by his associate’s lack of answers. He walks slowly but suddenly turns back, stopping right in front of Kunrad’s chair.
“Very well, tell you what. Find out what it is or I’ll see that you and this Valancius both land in the same trunk.” that makes Kunrad look sharply at him, his eyes narrowing with fury. “Unlike you, I don’t have to abide by the rules the Lord Captain set for this mission and I wouldn’t be too bothered if both our ledgers had one bad mark. Last I heard, yours has far more than mine.”
And that is when Noahn finally feels the unflinching pain of their psyker work. They stop peering into the bodies of the men inside their house and awaken in their own wreck of a body, confused at their surroundings. There is a miasmatic nausea around them, but it’s a sensation that is happening to someone else. Not them. They are aware that they’re being attacked for their manipulations of the wrap but they do not experience it. It’s in their power to refuse to do so, even if they have to interrupt their spying on the intruders to focus on keeping it at bay.
They know there’s a timer over their head. They have been found out by subjects of a person they didn’t even know had a stake in them. And there is no denying this woman has enough power to make her minions drag them back to wherever she wants them to be. When Kunrad comes back with an offer it will be the last time.
So they will take it.
Plans change, especially in their life. As if they didn’t know that. But a bitter voice inside them still gets its chance to protest. Why here? Why now? When they finally finally had the reins of their body back in their hands. When their powers could tell them what was wrong and how to fix it. Why couldn’t the universe afford them just a little more time?
They grind their teeth until it’s painful and bit by bit, the nausea starts to break their psychic wall.
To leave here. To miss their only chance at getting back the one person in the universe that is familiar. To lose the one who cares.
They can wail and cry all they want but it won’t stop this new certainty that there is someone else hunting them. And still,
Why?
—
Kunrad is nursing what is probably the biggest headache of the week. The void could take Mort and his attempts to agitate him, as if he didn’t know they were running a tight timetable. Of course he wanted to get back as fast as possible with their quarry but he had no wish to return to all the places and people that reeked of Theodora. Her vessels, her heirs, her voidship, her planets, her subjects, her arch militant. Himself. Maybe they had dragged her here after all, like an ever present shadow that would stalk him to the end of his life.
This Noahn would get one more hour, then he would ask again. Correctly, as Mort wanted. But if she said no…
Kunrad leans back on the chair once more but this time it shakes and creaks, loudly enough to startle him. He shoves his hand in the armrest but that is a mistake. The piece of wood breaks under his hand and he falls to the ground as if the seat had disappeared from under him. But no it’s certainly there, broken to pieces on the floor.
He groans then bolts away from what's left of the chair, pushing himself up from the floor, trying not to touch it any further. He feels something sharp stabbing one of his hands, but he doesn’t pay attention to it. He can’t stop staring at the remains in the low light of the room.
Something is moving inside them.
“What the fuck?”
Mort rushes to his side, obviously not to help but to gawk at the mess that writhed on the floor. Maggots the size of fingers were coming out of the rotten wood, a horrible stench accompanying them as more and more escaped the cushion and what was left of the other armrest.
They watch the mess spread through the flood in different directions with an uncomfortable silence looming over them. His hand won’t stop bothering him and he finally looks at it. A large piece of glass was stuck in it, glinting so much it becomes aggravating to his already growing migraine. He rips it off and presses his other hand against his broken skin, searching for the way back to the room they left Noahn in.
No more waiting around, they would leave this haunted place that did nothing but infuriate him now.

weird flex but ok i guess pt.33

War…Hold up, do we really need a warning for this one? Dunno, but however, watch out for slightly disturbing and kinda…disgusting imagery, trypophobic patterns, as well as ‘necrotic’ (and dark themed) designs I made while having funky fever bc o h m y g o d do I get a little crazier every new quarantine day (and at this point it’s coming to be an usual thing for me, big sad). However, most are made no other than for the sole sake of satire, so y’know, no need to get your underwear in a twist
Friday Night Funkin’ BoyFriend’s Hood – AU fanconcept sketches [XXVIII]
1. it was an accident it was an accident it was an accident
(Having his bad stuff spitted out already, yet resigned on what’s just happening still, BF decides to go to GF, who’s still crying, and holds her face with a compassionate look on his face)
(GF whimpers) “I-I’m sorry, I really…”
(BF cuts her off) “It’s okay, it wasn’t really you who caused this” (Hugs her) “I know you would never do something to hurt me or my fams…This was just…nasty luck for you and me…” (Softly tightens his grip onto GF)
(GF just breaks crying again, corresponding BF’s hug)
This is really sad, Alexa play sad violin :’’’(
2. Two-sided come-overs
(Suddenly, two cars ride and park over near where the fire is, and from each cars, a side of GF and BF’s families come over and go to them)
(McBleep walks over to BF, deeply worried) “BF, ma’ boy!!”
(Sissy follows from behind) “Lil B! Oh god!”
(BF turns from surprise) “Sis! …Papa?!”
(Garson walks over quickly, worried yet clearly pissed) (Scolding tone) “Young Ms. Dearest!”
(GF turns from surprise as well) “Garson?!”
Yeah I gave the demon guy a name, now shush
Still, boy GF is in for a ride once she gets home….well, apparently
3. “Oh good lord, we’re so glad you’re okay, boy!” // “What are you doing at this time of night, young Dearest?! Your parents were worried sick once they found out you left by yourself!”
(While the whole event is occurring, cops and people from the fire department had finally chipped in, taking care of the situation, although GF and BF aren’t really much of giving them attention there)
4. Guilt, shame, regret
(As GF is being scolded, BF looks at her, noticing the mixed feelings on her face)
(Suddenly, BF lets out from his dad and runs to her)
“Huh?”
“B, what’cha doing?”
:(
5. Taking the blame…
(BF gets in between GF and Garson)
“Stop! Leave her alone!”
“Huh?! A mortal?!” (Garson frowns) “Ms Dearest, what has your dad told you about-?!”
(BF cuts him off) “No! She…I…” (BF tightens up) “I brought her into this!”
(Garson’s confused) “…What?”
(GF is also as confused) “BF, no! You-!”
(BF cuts her off also) “No, this…this was my fault! Nothing of this would have happened if it wasn’t because of me!” (BF shakens a bit) “She tried to help but... It worked the other way around… And I was dumb to think we could…she could…” (BF sighs) “Just…don’t land the trash on her for this! She doesn’t deserve it as much as I do!”
Rewritten this event, originally was gonna just be BF taking the blame just to keep GF away from trouble (like a white lie and stuff) …but now it also has some ground to land on, kinda sad if you think about it
Still, woo go Boy, defend your girl
6. …for her sake
(Garson looks less mad, yet is still annoyed) “It doesn’t take away the fact Ms Dearest was hanging around with a mortal, which is by no means allowed for her own good!”
(BF kicks in) “I know that! She… she even told me!” (BF lowers) “And, maybe… that’s also on me…I was the one that befriended her in the first place…”
(Garson gets pissed) “Despite her being a demon, you little buffoon?”
(McBleeps frowns silently, yet Sissy chimes in) “Hey, careful how ya talk to my bro, you lanky loon!”
(BF resumes talking) “A demon yeah, but she ain’t what y’all are so eager in turning her into! She ain’t no foe, she ain’t no terror to me! I’ve seen worse from where I come from! And to tell you the truth…” (BF turns to GF, softening his tone) “She’s the warmest person I’ve known, even if she’s not my type of ‘monster’, if you will”
(GF giggles a bit, while Garson just looks angry)
(BF continues) “She’s got my back and I got hers, and there’s nothing you nor her parents can do about it, Mr Gasson!”
(Garson frowns as he crosses his arms, GF giggles again, as she whispers) “It’s Garson”
(BF retorts) “Whatever!”
Just a bit of comedy to lighten up the mood, even if it could be a bit tone deaf
7. Forced decisions
(Seeing the amount of damage done to the shop, McBleep sighs in resignation)
(Sissy notices) “…So, what should we do now, dad?”
(McBleep drops his face down, eyes closed, defeated) “…As much as I hate to say it…” (McBleep looks to Sissy) “We’ll have to move again, we got no business here anymore, and we can’t risk having a second fire happening. Whoever did this could come over twice, who knows”
(Sissy looks down) “…Considering what Broddy showed us…possibly so…”
(BF shakens) “What?! But if we move then I won’t be able to hang with G anymore!”
(Sissy frowns) “Then you should’ve though that before going off and tryna play tough guy with that crook!” (Sissy signs BF’s injuries) “Look at what he did to you! Be glad you didn’t get caught in the fire, else we’d really had lost something of value tonight!” (Sissy mutters to herself) “I knew this was gonna backfire one way or another! Broddy’s really gonna hear me out once we get home…!”
(BF goes “smaller”) “…I…just didn’t want anything bad to happen to the shop…but…”
(Sissy tries to talk, but McBleep stops her and goes to him, kneeling down) “Boy, come to think of it, this was gonna happen one way or another. He could have lit this place on fire anyway just to delete his steps, out of insanity or even by a mere accident; fire criminals tend to be like that. It even couldn’t have happened by a really rare chance, but here we are still.”
(BF shows regret, feeling like crying as well) “…Here we are…” (BF faces down)
(McBleep pats BF’s head) “Hey, ‘least you’re here still. Workshop’s an ashy mess now? Yeah, it sucks. But rather that than lose my little beep boy” (McBleeps shifts from empathy to pity) “…Still, it will be better for us to seek for a new place to work at, even if it means moving away from here. It’s for the best”
(BF looks at his dad, then to GF, and back to the floor) “…Okay…I guess...” (BF looks at McBleep) “…I guess I’m grounded for this, am I?”
(Sissy frowns) “Yes you are!”
(McBleep shuts her off) “Hold your horses, young lady, I’m the one that sorts the corrections here aside your mother” (McBleep goes back to BF) “…I think moving alone is already a bad sip for ya, but just so it doesn’t fly away so easy, you’ll deal with your side of the moving, and probably take care of more things around the new house we might need to look for too. Also gonna take out a few of your duties once we reopen the shop” (McBleep frowns) “But don’t you dare sneak out again, or else I’ll really reconsider it. Got that clear as water?”
(BF lowers his face again, looking at GF) “It won’t be an issue, considering I won’t see G anytime soon anyway from here…” (BF looks back at his dad) “…But it’s fair enough” (BF vacillates) “Can…I at least say goodbye to GF?”
(McBleep nods) “I don’t see why not, but don’t take too long”
(BF nods back, and walks to GF, who was looking at the whole deal with a compassionate face)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
8. A bitter farewell
(BF and GF face each other)
“So…you’re gonna move again…?”
“Pretty much…further from here, even…”
(GF feels like crying) “So it means what I think…?”
(BF nods bitterly) “Yup…”
(GF looks aside, silently crying) “…Darn it…”
(BF looks down) “…Yeah…” (BF holds onto G) “But it doesn’t need to end like that, you know? Mom always told me friendships can be kept as long as we don’t forget them, just like family and well…other things. So, just in case…” (BF shows her his pinky finger) “Wanna wish for a reunion sometime in the future?”
(GF smiles a bit, with a small bit of sass on her tone) “As long as neither Assel or Brick are involved like the first time”
(BF chuckles) “Yeah, forgot to add that also”
We need some inside jokes or else this would become a sappy novella ok thanks bye-
9. “Until we meet again…someday…”
(BF and GF locks their pinkies as they promise each other) “Until we meet again…someday”
(BF lets go of GF’s pinkie and so does she, as they walk away from each other and towards their families)
(BF looks back a bit) “(See ya…)”
(GF does the same, clearly distraught) “(Will miss ya…)”
Bad ending :^(
(…For now)

THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT LOVE, OR COLLEGE.
You should’ve realized how much you hated school before you’d gone and put your all into college applications, but it was too late now, and you were already here. The clock was getting closer and closer to 3 am, and you had an 8 am lecture you needed to be up and prepped for.
The equations in front of you didn’t care about your 8 am lecture, though.
As you took a deep breath, resolving to take one more stab at the gibberish in front of you, the door to your dorm room flew open. You practically jumped out of your seat, your pencil flying out of your hands. A boy you’d never seen before stood behind her, gently trying to lead her into the room.
“Oh my god, Koeun,” you said, standing up from your desk chair. You had to stop for a moment, brushing off the wave of dizziness caused by your exhaustion. Then, you walked over to her, grabbing her by the shoulders and taking her away from the poor boy who’d gotten her here.
She tried to push you away, but you’d dealt with this more times than you could count; you grabbed her wrists as she tried to push you, pulling her over to her bed and practically pushing her onto it. The moment she laid down, she passed out and slumped over onto the hard, university-complimentary mattress.
“I’m so sorry for the trouble,” you said frantically, rushing back up to the boy. “I’ve got it from here, so you can go ahead and go home. Thank you so much for bringing her back.
“Uh, no problem.”
The boy looked down at you with a confused look on his face, chewing on his lip as he did so. He smelled like cigarettes and alcohol, more than Koeun did—it was impressive to meet someone who bested her in that.
“Do I know you?” he asked, furrowing his brows. “I swear, you look so familiar.”
“Sorry, but I don’t recognize you at all,” you replied, suddenly wanting him to leave a lot more than you originally did. “Have a good night.”
You slammed the door on his face, glad to be free from the smell of illegal parties. Koeun rolled over on the bed, letting out a loud snore, and all you could do was thank the lord above that you wouldn’t have to deal with her puking all over the room.
A sigh escaped your lips as you approached your desk, flopping back down onto your desk chair. What a bore this was—while Koeun went out and got drunk every night, you were here, bogged down by the pressure of your chemistry homework.
You wanted to scream and cry and jump around the room, rip your hair out strand by strand, cry until you couldn’t read the problems on the page; Koeun wanted to frolic in flower fields and go to expensive cafés to take pictures.
“You wanna know something, [First]?”
The sound of Koeun’s slurring made your previous relief vanish in the second, so you pushed yourself up from your chair, seeking out the bucket you recently bought.
“What do I want to know, Koeun?”
She giggled, grabbing the bucket from your arms and hugging it to her chest. “Kim Yeona lives on our floor.”
You raised your eyebrows. “Yup, she does. Two doors down.”
“Kim Yeona is dating Donghyuck.”
You felt yourself tense, and your knees weakened substantially. That was a name you hadn’t heard since three years ago, when you were a bright-eyed, seventeen-year-old girl who floated through life like a duck on a pond.
Yeona was a sweet girl—you could see why Donghyuck would choose her of all the people who probably threw themselves onto him. But, you couldn’t help but wonder if he had known, if he knew what dating Yeona would do to you. He’d been a main offender in the end, and you were unsure he ever got the closure he truly wanted.
“Is she?”
“Mhmm…Yeona doesn’t know about you. Nobody’s told her. Donghyuck—” Koeun hiccuped, and you cringed, hoping she wouldn’t open the floodgates. “Donghyuck hasn’t told her what he did to you. He knows Yeona would break up with him. But—get this—he said he doesn’t regret it, [First]. I heard it with my own ears, as I chugged another glass off…um…whatever I chugged, and—he was there, [First]. In the flesh. He was there. And he ignored me, too. He pretends like he never did anything wrong.”
You took a step back, mind racing and heart pounding. He said he doesn’t regret it. What a joke that was—how could he not regret it? In what world could someone be so heartless?
“Go to bed, Koeun. I’ll see you in the morning.”
She hiccuped, reaching out towards you. “Renjun—” she slurred, exhaustion lacing her voice. “Renjun should’ve chosen you.
You wished Lee Donghyuck had just killed you—pushed you out a window, thrown you out of a car, accidentally tripped you off the side of a pier—before he’d begun the campaign to destroy your existence.
“Oi, [First],” Donghyuck called, catching up to you in the hallway. The sound of students chattering and doors sliding filled your ears, nearly drowning out his calls, but you could hear them just enough to stop and turn. He half-smiled, draping a loose arm around your shoulder when he caught up to you. “D’ya got the answers to the calc homework?”
“When have I ever done the calc homework?” you snorted, hugging your books closer to your chest. Donghyuck sighed so heavily you could feel his chest expand into your shoulder, causing your heart to speed up a bit. You weren’t into Donghyuck—not in the slightest, given the situation you’d found yourself in—but he always made you a bit nervous.
You could never tell what he was thinking. You’d been friends since your first year of high school, so you’d watched him build people up just to drag them down with the same hands he’d used to build. It was scary. Sometimes, you wondered if you were next, but from the way he treated you and the way Mark insisted you weren’t, you knew that wasn’t the case.
“I wish we were friends with more people in our class. I feel stupid every time I walk in ‘cause I always gotta do the homework as she’s walking around to collect it.”
“Yeah, well, our class is stuck-up city. Bunch of rule-follower teachers' pets. Plus, Haeun hates me, so she’d never give you answers.”
“Haeun, hm,” he hummed, forcefully turning you towards the front doors of the school. “We’re skipping today, by the way.”
“What?”
“You never skip with us,” he said, so nonchalantly you could have thrown up. Your boundaries had officially been crossed; you ducked down, losing Donghyuck’s arm from your shoulders and causing him to stop and turn.
“That’s because my parents will kill me, Hyuck. Skipping class would get me grounded for weeks,” you replied, frowning. “Sometime after exams, I will, but for now…I just need to be consistent. Okay?”
“What about if I had Renjun come get you?” he asked, taking another step towards you. The presence of your classmates in the halls began to fade, with more and more people returning to their classrooms as lunch approached its end. “If I had star student Na Jaemin take you to the nurse? Or would you still turn it down?”
“I—”
“I feel like I’m losing you, [First]. We never hang out, not like we used to. We never talk. You never meet up with us after school, no matter how much we invite you. Even Koeun comes with us, but never you. Even Mark came with us last year, and he’s more stingy than you. Do you even care about us anymore?”
“Of course I care, Donghyuck. I just need to think about the future for a bit.”
“What future is there to think about if you’ll marry Huang Renjun and get a cut of Chenle’s dad’s billions?”
You looked at him, hurt building up in your heart. You didn’t want to be an extension of Renjun and Chenle; you wanted to be yourself, wholly, with a life you built by yourself. Not a life built by Chenle’s birth luck and Renjun’s family-friend status.
That didn’t overtake your pure want to be accepted by Donghyuck.
“Go get Jaemin, then.”
He smiled a devious smile, lips curling up and eyes sparkling with mischief. “Sounds good. Wait here.”
It only took a day for you to see him on campus. He was across the main quad, sitting on a picnic blanket with your neighbor, Yeona, and feeding her strawberries.
His smile was so genuine it made your heart want to shrivel up into nothing, his happiness was so real it made you want to march over and ruin it. Lee Donghyuck made you feel a lot of emotions—anger, sadness, betrayal, nostalgia—but you couldn’t pull one ahead of the others, and that was the reason you couldn’t fight back against him way back when.
Part of you hoped Koeun heard him wrong. That she mistook the does regret it for doesn’t regret it. That, if he could, he would apologize, and he would give your new number to Jaemin so he could apologize, too. “Mark got through to me,” he’d say, referencing the boy who protected you from Lee Donghyuck’s meaningless wrath until he couldn’t anymore. “I wasn’t in the right place.”
You looked away when Yeona saw you staring, rushing towards the sciences building with tears already building in your eyes. You knew you didn’t miss Donghyuck—you could never miss him, after what he did to you—and that you were missing someone close to him, but an apology from Donghyuck meant an apology from him.
An emotional one. A pleading one. A “please, let’s finish what we started” apology that could only be given to you.
It would never happen. You hoped Yeona either broke up with him or moved out soon.
You felt like your stomach was caving in on itself.
You hated skipping class; the more you pushed, the closer you got to your parents finding out. The nurse never questioned the fabricated fever on the thermometer, not when Na Jaemin was behind you, frowning and patting your shoulder. But, the more you feigned sickness, the more likely it was going to be for the nurse to call your parents and ask how you were doing at home.
They’d find out after that. Even if you used Donghyuck’s lie, which was telling her you didn’t want to get in trouble so you’d been staying at his house during the school day. Not only would you be destroyed for going to a boy’s house without permission, but you’d also be destroyed after your mom took you to the hospital and found nothing was wrong.
Nevertheless, you kept coming. Like today. You sat on a cold, large rock next to Renjun, who was smiling and laughing with the rest of the group. Koeun and you were sitting back to back as she slept, head resting on your shoulder.
Despite how people surrounded you, you still felt cold.
“I just don’t get why she thought it would be a good idea to ask me out. I mean, if she wasn’t so ugly, I’d say yes, but…” Jaemin sighed, throwing a rock at Jeno, who was also nodding off and for good reason. According to Koeun, after you left early last night to make sure your parents didn’t suspect anything of you, they’d all stayed up together until Jeno caught a shooting star on camera. You felt left out, but it was for your self-preservation, so you didn’t care too much.
Jeno jerked awake as the rock hit his knee, a loud yelp escaping his lips. “What the fuck, Jaemin? That fucking hurt, holy shit,” Jeno swore, holding his knee. Jaemin just laughed, which was followed by Donghyuck and Chenle joining in. Jeno hopped up, beginning to run towards Jaemin, who also pushed himself off the ground and began to run.
Mostly everyone followed, except for Renjun, who stayed next to you, and Koeun, who stayed asleep. Renjun looked at you, taking your mostly-alone-ness to cover your hand with his and initiate a conversation.
“Are you okay, [First]?”
“I’m fine.”
“No, you’re not,” Renjun said, immediately calling you out on your bluff. Koeun shifted against you, and you could tell she was awake now, but you didn’t say anything. “You don’t like skipping—I know you don’t. You don’t have to come with us, you know. You care about school a lot more than the rest of us do, and that’s okay. We’re still your friends.”
“But Donghyuck said—”
Renjun cut you off by squeezing your hand, a lot tighter than you would’ve liked him to. “You did this with Mark, too, but Mark was nicer and less of a tyrant,” he said, turning to make sure none of the other boys were coming back. Koeun shifted again, firmly pressing her back against yours. “[First], just because Donghyuck is our quasi-leader now that Mark is in college doesn’t mean you need to follow his word like it’s sacred scripture. He does not decide how things go around here. Don’t risk your parents getting mad just to sit in a park and do nothing all day, okay?”
“Okay.”
Maybe you should’ve noticed how jealous Renjun was, and how it was already too late.
“I’d rather see you after school and on the weekends than never see you at all because your parents grounded you, [First].”
The unspeakable was going to happen at some point, no denying it, so maybe you should’ve tried to prepare for it more.
You had an empty laundry bag draped around your arm as you descended the stairs from the fifth floor of your dorms, where the laundry room was. The sound of quarters jingled in your pocket, excited for when you’d go back up to move your laundry from the washer to the dryer.
You had headphones on your head, music blasting loudly. You whistled the tune, taking the lanyard off your neck to unlock your door as you emerged into the third-floor corridor and found yourself opposite Lee Donghyuck.
His eyes widened as you skidded to a stop, almost running into him. Yeona stood behind him, purse on her shoulder, and you assumed you were running into them as they were about to leave.
How unlucky were you?
The difference between Yeona’s and Donghyuck’s facial expressions was palpable, so much so you could’ve laughed. His eyes were filled with malice, mixed with a sick sense of accomplishment; nevertheless, he looked disgusted. Yeona looked overjoyed to be seeing you.
“[First]!” Yeona exclaimed, stepping in front of Donghyuck. She drew you into a tight hug, a smile drawn on her face. “I haven’t seen you in a while! How’s Orgo treating you?”
“Miserably,” you mumbled, clearing your throat. “Not to rain on your parade, but I’ve got an online class in a few minutes…”
“Oh, before you go, let me introduce—”
“I know him,” you cut her off, ignoring how Donghyuck’s smile seemed to grow at your discomfort and Yeona’s seemed to fade. “We went to high school together.”
And you brushed past her, marching towards your room and not looking back.
“Mom, you can’t do this to me!” you screeched, lunging and just barely managing to grab your phone out of her hands. “Take away my free time, my stuffed animals, whatever you want, but you can’t take my phone.”
“Why not, huh?” she yelled back, getting in your face. “Your awful friends are who did this to you! They’re ruining my daughter, [First]! I should be able to take away your friends if they’re getting in the way of your education!”
“I will not let you isolate me again! I’ll never leave the house outside of school, hell, you can pick me up and drop me off, but I will not let you isolate me!”
“Fine! Let’s see what happens when that awful Lee Donghyuck unfriends you because you can’t destroy your future, and you have no friends at all because he’s the leader of the pack! You’re better off rotting away in your room than you are talking to him.”
Koeun sat on the bed, hugging her knees to her chest and giving you the most pitiful look she’d ever given you.
“I should’ve punched him. Gotten myself expelled. I should’ve beat the shit out of Lee Donghyuck,” she finally said. “Renjun, too.”
You frowned. “Renjun didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Since when was abandoning your almost-girlfriend the right decision, [First]? Do you remember what you told me after you snuck out with him that night? You said you could spend the entire rest of your life with him, and he left you the next day—just like that. Stop forgiving his mistakes without an apology.”
You stayed quiet, listening to the commotion in the hall. They were out there—at least three or four of them—hanging out with Yeona. You’d heard them call it a “first meeting,” meaning Yeona was new, and there was no way she’d known anything.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom,” you heard Yeona say, giggling as she did. There was a beat of silence, and then a chorus of loud ews and get a rooms, which you assumed meant Yeona and Donghyuck had shared a quick kiss.
“Be back soon, baby.”
Your stomach churned, and Koeun angrily got up and stomped over to where her headphones were charging. A few more beats of silence occurred as Koeun put the headphones over her ears, drowning out the noise of your ex-friends.
“Is that really [First] and Koeun’s room?”
“Watched [First] walk into it. Pathetic, right? How uncomfortable they must be knowing I’m dating their neighbor,” you heard Donghyuck say, laughing as he spoke. “If they were here right now, I’d suggest we pop in for a visit, but I doubt it. Koeun’s an alcoholic and [First] is obsessed with her books.”
“Are they popular, or something?”
“Incredibly. [First] is a campus favorite, according to Yeona—”
You shoved your airpods in your ears, pressing play on the first song you saw.
The night sky was so pretty during the winter. It was clear and cloudless, a break from the constant snow and clouds that seemed to assault Seoul.
This was, quite possibly, the first time you’d felt comfortable sneaking out. When you skipped school with Donghyuck, you always felt so unsafe, like your mom would show up and scream at you any minute. But, when you were with Renjun, you felt safer than you ever had.
“I wish it was easier to take pictures of the stars,” Renjun sighed, reaching his hand up to the sky. You both laid on a random blanket he managed to unearth from a closet in his house, out in a field near your house. You’d managed to sneak pillows out, too, making a makeshift bed on the open, grassy land. It was calm and quiet, the only noise being whatever you two decided to say.
“Maybe it’s better for it to be difficult. The night sky is best viewed in real life, you know.”
You picked up your phone, checking the time—2:03 am. You had another hour with Renjun until your dad could possibly wake up, and you didn’t want to risk getting caught because your dad decided to do his morning workout an hour early.
“I take a lot of pictures of you,” Renjun began, turning over on his side to look at you. You turned over as well, feeling your heart warm up at the proximity between you. “But you’re best viewed in real life, too.”
“How cheesy,” you giggled, staring at him. Renjun smiled back at you, shuffling closer so he could rest your forehead on yours and wrap his arms around you. It was uncomfortable to lay on his arm—you’re sure it was the same for him—but you would rather have him closer than not.
“I wish I could hang out with just you more,” Renjun sighed, his breath tickling your face. “Everyone’s so much work. You remind me of home.”
“Really?”
“Yes, really.”
“I’m honored,” you smiled, cupping his face with your hands. “I want to spend more time with you, too.”
“If only exams could come faster,” Renjun said, inching closer to you. “Then, we can spend as much time with each other as we want.”
With that, Renjun did what he had done many, many times before. He pressed a kiss to your nose, and then pulled you into a kiss. Renjun’s kisses were soft and sweet, like kissing a cloud. His chapstick was berry flavored, so you’d grown used to a slight blackberry taste mixed in with mint—it always lingered on your lips afterward.
You liked kissing Renjun. A lot.
But, as fast as it began, it ended, and he suddenly looked a lot more conflicted than he had before. With a furrowed brow and worried eyes, you asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I know we planned to stay out until 3,” he began, removing his arms from you entirely. He sat up, almost in a panic—like you’d slip through his fingers at any second. “But I don’t want you to get into more trouble. Okay? Next time, we can stay out later.”
You sat up, frowning. You should’ve rejected Donghyuck, through and through.
“Okay. We can leave. That’s okay.”
You wondered which of the boys told Renjun where you lived.
If you had to guess, it was probably Jeno. He’d always felt bad—you could tell from the way he looked at you at graduation—but never had the guts to do anything about it; maybe this was him doing something about it.
“You’ve got ten seconds before I slam the door in your face,” you said, mustering the most malicious look you could. It wouldn’t be a lie to say you never let go of Huang Renjun—he’d been your first love. He’d ruined every other date you’d gone on since because nobody would ever manage to be better than him. He was, in many ways, your everything, and with your lack of end, it always felt wrong to move on.
“Please, let’s just talk. Okay? We’re grown up now. We can talk about this rationally.”
“One good reason why?”
“Because I want closure, [First]. That’s all I want.”
It was all you wanted too.
Knowing Koeun was at a party, you stepped to the side, allowing Renjun to enter your dorm albeit hesitantly. He looked around, standing awkwardly as you returned to your seat on the bed, next to your laptop and phone.
You stared as he gently pulled your desk chair away from the desk, positioning it across from you, and sat down. Silence overtook you both, and you figured this was your only chance to have the first word.
“You left me. You didn’t even talk to me, Renjun, you just stopped picking up your phone and answering my texts. Avoided my daily route at school. Everything you could to not see me, you did.”
“You’re right, yes.”
“Not even an I’m choosing you over Donghyuck text. Nothing.”
“And I’m sorry. I was stupid and selfish. I didn’t know what I was doing.”
“Oh, for sure,” you replied, narrowing your eyes. “He forced me out, Renjun. Told people petty lies to look at me in a bad way. Slowly stopped talking to me, but not before constantly shoving how boring I was down my throat all the time. Not before Jaemin told me I was the worst friend he’d ever had. And you just watched.”
“I’m sorry, okay?” Renjun finally snapped, his voice nearly cracking. “I didn’t know what to do; I asked Mark for help, but he never responded, and I—I felt so alone. Jeno didn’t know what to do either. Donghyuck was a tyrant, but he’s not anymore. Mark beat his ass when he found out.”
“Seems like you’re still friends, though, and they still have it in them to talk shit about me. What’s your point?”
“What? I didn't know they—that’s beside the point. What I’m saying is…can we just end things here and now? Forget about each other after I say this? I just want to move on.”
“Meaning you want to get rid of your guilt, yes.”
“Whatever you want to call it, I’ll agree. I don’t care. I just want you to know that I really, truly was in love with you, [First],” Renjun said, clenching his fists. “Once upon a time, you were my entire world. My whole life revolved around you, and when Donghyuck led you into that trap—I felt like I’d been lured, too. Every day without seeing you was painful, and I thought things would get better if I tried to forget as Donghyuck phased you out. I never forgot, and things only got harder. I was wrong.”
“So you were.”
“I don’t expect anything from you,” Renjun continued, sighing. “Nothing at all. I just needed you to know it was never fake. I was never fake. The only time I’ve truly understood what it was like to love someone was when I was with you. I’d move mountains for you—I still would. Even now.”
You would never say it, but you would too.
“That doesn’t change what happened. So, thanks for letting me know, but never come back here. And let Donghyuck know I’ll spill everything to Yeona if he ever comes back here.”
Renjun stood, understanding you were essentially telling him to get out. “I will.”
“Thanks.” You stood too, approaching the door and opening it. “I’ll see you, maybe.”
“I’ll see you too.”
Renjun stepped out of your room, hesitating as you kept your door open. And, with a surge of idiocy and confidence mixed into some sort of mystery potion, you spoke.
“By the way,” you paused, sucking in a deep breath. “I loved you too.”
thank you for reading!

the risk i'm taking
pairing: Haitani Ran x Gn Reader
synopsis: You were curious about clubs. Part 2
tw: alcohol, clubs, sussy Ran but no worries, fluff, soft ran, long live soft ran
w.c : 2.6k
a/n: Halu! I think its pretty clear now that I'm heavily inspired by music and so this came out after listening to Shayne Orok’s Renegade Japanese version! It gives late night drives vibes y’know. Also, I’ve finished World Trigger and omg, its so good, it was a bit slow but still, good. Anyway! I hope you guys like it, I honestly am not sure on how to react on this piece cause I tried writing it a bit differently. I also tried inserting comedic expressions and I'm not sure if I executed it well. Also, thank you so much for all those who have read my other writings! It made me so happy knowing that so many people have seen it.
The sound of clinking glasses and the smell of sweaty body were overloading into your brain. You told yourself that you wanted to know how it felt to go to a club, to experience the night life or so you say, but really you were just a curious introvert who read too much fanfics on mafia and bad boys.
So here you are, at a club somewhere in Roppongi, your dear friend has brought you. The face of disbelief and slow excitement was still fresh in your mind when you asked your friend, Haruki about it.
“so, I am curious”. Haruki’s eyebrow perked at your statement as she gestures her head up.
“about clubs. You know the ones you always told me about”. She gasps at your question, dramatically and slowly bringing her hands to her mouth.
“you’re asking me about clubs? You? The one who buries their nose in books?”. She fakes wiping a tear as she continues. You rolled your eyes, cheeks getting hot as you proceed to turn your body around but Haruki’s hand stops you.
“so you want to go to a club?”. You nodded, hesitantly and somehow deep in your heart, you believe this will lead to unexpected endings.
So here you are, wearing clothing you never thought you would wear and honestly, you feel the hottest you’ve ever felt. Haruki helped you choose your clothing and help you fix up your appearance a bit, giving suggestions here and there. Haruki told you minutes before that she was going to meet up with some friend first and then will come back to you, so you were left here, at the bar, drinking freaking orange juice.
Oh no don’t misunderstand, its not that its your first time drinking, its just that you’re a very light drinker. You remember the first time Haruki gave you booze and boy were you embarrassing. You shuddered at the memories but continue to drink your little orange juice. Your eyes scanning around the crowd, and you thought, its not really as exciting as the books have described. The music was so loud and the bass was enough to keep your body buzzing. The smell of alcohol was thick but indeed, there were a lot of attractive people.
Your eyes fell upon lilac hair, his eyes boring into the distance, legs propped wide while a girl was next to her, trying to give him drinks. Clearly the man doesn’t care and you were going to glance over him when his eyes caught yours. Realizing that he’s watching you, you quickly turn around to face the bar and held your orange juice, sipping it a bit.
Well, aren’t you a shy one suddenly? A mere glance from a man, a hot man and here you are jittery and shit. Now your head is glossing over texts over texts from the mafia stories you’ve read, all about the awkward main character going into bars for the first time and then catching the attention of some mafia lord. Nah, that can’t be happening to you.
And it did. Your shoulder was tapped and immediately you turn around, a scowl in your face, ready to bombard Haruki with questions. The Haruki in question is not actually her, but the lilac haired guy you were eyeing before. From up close, you can see how extra hot he is. His eyes were a brilliant lilac, long eyelashes, and that tattoo on his neck, somehow beautifully complimenting his looks.
y-yes?”. He smirked as he sits down beside you, ordering two tequilas, after that he turned back to you.
“so, what’s a sweet little thing like you doing here”. Classic.
“I was just curious”. You muttered nonchalantly, as your eyes flutter at him.
“curious of what?”. He asked, as he push the tequila he ordered before to you.
“of clubs.”. you pushed back the tequila, his eyebrows perked at your action, you then explain.
“I don’t drink, or I will embarrass myself enough to jump off a building, so yeah no alcohol for me.” He chuckles as he pushes the drink back to you.
“Well, if you’re curious about clubs, drinks are one of its essentials you know, now drink up sweets.” You squint your eyes at him, challenging him, but his grin widens at your action.
“okay, how about I’ll show you something fun?”.
“you know, usually in this kind of situation, the drink is probably drugged up, and then… well never mind, or you’re actually a nice person”. You voiced out your concern as he laughs out loud.
“you’re really funny you know. I never thought I’ll meet someone who acts like this upon meeting me.” Upon meeting you? Whatever it is he’s implying, you still are quite wary. Without warning, he chugged up the tequila and asked the bartender to make you a new one, in front of you this time. You were baffled at his action and once the bartender was done, he places the tequila in front of you. You look at the tequila and then at the lilac haired man, as he gestures for you to go on.
Well, honestly, what could go wrong? Man’s was nice enough to give you tequila twice and so you closed your eyes and drink up, finishing with a soft sigh. Yeah, shit was good you thought. The man claps his hands softly as he gives you a thumbs up. You smile at him, somewhat happy at the possibility of making him proud.
“okay I drank your tequila, where’s my fun?”. He chuckles as he stood up and held out his hand. He gives you a serious look as he asks.
“do you trust me?”. Usually in this kind of scene, you don’t trust them but you took his hand and nodded.
“well if anything goes wrong, I’ll either die or you’re going to jail, so fuck it.” He nods and pull you out of the club, his hand lock into yours while he guides you to his car, a freaking Lamborghini, you know the ones without roofs, the one rich people rides. Yeah, that lambo. Now you’re freaking out inside because holy shit, who would have thought you’re speaking with a rich man. Though now that you think back, he looks expensive so, with a shrug at the thought, you are standing in front of the Lambo.
The man, who’s name you still haven’t gotten, opens the door for you and with a hand on your back, he ushers you in. Once he’s inside, you popped him a question.
“You know I think its about time I get your name.” He was starting the car when you asked the question, his head slowly turn to you with a shock look. He stares into your eyes for awhile and then shrugs.
”Ran. Haitani Ran.”. He said, eyeing you as if trying to gouge a reaction out of you.
“Ran.” You mutters the name, as you smile, finally getting to know the lilac haired guy, Ran.
“(y/n), its very nice to meet you Ran.”
“I thought we have established that”. He said as he pulls out the car in a reverse and drive through the streets of Roppongi. Your eyes glaze over the myriads of people, the colorful lights on the tall building and the starless sky. Excitement bubbles in you, as you feel the cool air whipping through your cheeks.
“its so pretty at night”. You whispered, Ran heard you and couldn’t help but smile at your wondrous eyes.
“your first time out at night?”. You nodded as you face him.
“I don’t go out much and my guardians were pretty strict so… yeah its my first time really. My first time of a lot of things tonight.”
“The club too?”. He asked, swerving the car to the right, going into a quiet lane.
“Yeah the club too. But I don’t like it though, the club. Its so loud and dark. Its too much for me I guess…”. He was silent for a while, you chose to look up the sky, you can finally see the stars, albeit a little.
“where are you bringing me? A place to plan my murder?”. You said jokingly as he laughs at your poor attempt of poking fun. “if I were to murder you, my dear (y/n), it would have been done before you could even think of it. So no, its not the place for your murder.”
You squinted your eyes at him, poking at his shoulder repeatedly. “That’s very scary Sir Haitani.” He laughs again, louder than before, glancing slightly at you with a smirk.
Goddamn he’s hot as fuck, thank you Haruki.
Throughout the ride, the both of you question each other, on your favourite food, his favourite song, on your favourite color, and his favourite time of the day. Surprisingly, the both of you share little to no resemblance each other, and here you thought you were living your Wattpad dreams. He likes the color purple— which was pretty obvious, while you like the color blue. You like Lana del Rey, he likes Chase Atlantic, there was no similarity, aside from the fact that the both of you share the same sky, and breath the same air.
Yet despite the differences, you feel calm and giddy around him, anticipations running through your heart at this man. You were lost in staring at his beautiful jawline when he stops the car, eyes, once again on you. He smiles gently at you, as he stood out of his seat and went over to yours, opening it and guiding you out of the car again. You gladly took his hand as he leads you forward, and in front of you were Roppongi.
You were on top of a hill, overlooking Roppongi, the scattering lights and the small bustling of cars could be seen. The scene was breathtaking as you laugh out loud and turn around to face Ran who was already looking at you. He has witnessed the puzzled look on your face, as it turns into a happy realization of what you’re actually seeing. He has seen how your lips curled up into an innocent smile and later to a happy grin. Ran could feel his heart beating, could hear it in his ears and he felt like a teenager once again. A teenager who learn the beauty and excitement of love and new beginnings.
“do you like it?”. Ran asked, nervous drenched in his words despite already seen how you reacted. He is still worried that you don’t share the same sentiment as he do.
“I love it Ran! This is such a beautiful scenery!I never thought Roppongi could be so … shiny and tiny”. You expressed as your hands went up in the air, gesturing how beautiful it is. You give him a wide smile as you squeeze his hand that was still holding yours.
“thanks Ran. I really appreciate the fun you’re showing me.” He chuckles, ruffling your hair at how cute you are. He then went back to the car and brought out a folding hammock, as he sat down at one end. He pats the sit next to him, telling you to sit down which you did. The both of you then share a silence, admiring the scene, admiring the presence of each other.
It was Ran who broke the silence first. “this is my fav spot you know. I never shown it to anyone before.” You turned around to face him this time, his gaze still straight at the scenery in front.
“so why did you show me?”. He shrugs as he replies.
“I don’t know, besides, I promised you fun right? And its fun, right?”. Ran gave you his attention now as you nodded. “Its very fun, the car, Roppongi at night, the hill, you.”
You could feel Ran’s thumb tracing circles on your knuckles as you lay your head on his shoulder. You were not really sure the ordeal you are in. Its such a weird experience, to suddenly meet a man, ride in his car, and now laying your head on his shoulder, everything was so unordinary yet it felt right. It felt like this was supposed to happen, tonight was going to be his and yours.
The warmth of Ran’s body, entangling with yours was just so right. The way he can hear your breath and the sounds of crickets accompanying the both of you. Ran himself were not sure what’s in the air, it felt pleasant. It has been a long time since he felt this calm and comfortable. He was really not thinking when he approached you, he thought you were hot and interesting so he approached you with bedding you in his mind. Yet the way you reacted to him, your way with words, the fact that you don’t know him and now he can’t get over the fact that someone like you exist. Someone who sees him not as a killing machine, a tool, a Bonten executive but as Haitani Ran.
He felt honored, touched even at you, because finally, after so long, he can breathe easy and not suffocate at the thoughts and title he bears. After a while, relishing in each other’s presence and watching the beautiful Roppongi, the both of you decides that its time to go back. You gave him your address as he drives you away to your apartment, again talking about the most random things. You noticed how easy it is to talk with him and how easily he flows with the topics you bring up.
Once you arrived, you finally realized how empty, yet warm your hands are. A pang of sadness settles in your chest, bubbling at the thought that you’ll never be able to meet Ran again. You sigh as your hand reaches for the door when Ran hand grabs yours. You look up at him, his eyes swarm with evident sadness and you give him a soft smile with a squeeze of his hand.
“ Can I… Will you… um”. He was stumbling around his words as you smile at him a bit wider, encouraging him. He took a deep breath and he bit his lip, contemplating on the right words. Who would of thought that the Haitani Ran would be stuttering over someone he just met.
“Can I pick up you tomorrow? For lunch?”. You chuckle at him as you place your hand on his cheek, in which he leans into. You were grinning now as you nodded. “Of course Ran, it would be my pleasure.” He was beaming, overjoyed at your acceptance which he thought was going to be rejection. Ran pull up your hand to his lips and kiss it, making you blush at the gesture.
You exit his car, numbers exchanged and with fond goodbyes and goodnights, the both of you went your separates way. You were overjoyed, your stomach is filled with every goddamn animal there is. You went into your shared apartment and upon entering, you were hurled questions over questions.
“where were you!! I was so worried, holy fuck, I almost called the goddamn police!”. Haruki was slapping your body as she continues.
“I keep on calling and texting and you didn’t reply to me! I thought someone have kidnapped your stupid ass!”. You then explain to her what happened and the worried and angry look she gave you before were replace with a gleeful look and a screech.
“So who’s the guy?”.
“I don’t know, some Ran… Haitani Ran I think.” Haruki was quiet all of a sudden, her face gone pale at the mention of his name.
“Do you know who that is?”. You shrugged, brushing through your hair as she tapped around her phone and then show you. Your mouth slacked open at the revelation of who Ran is and suddenly it all makes sense. Hikaru voiced out her worries and you honestly were worried again, because he was the goddamn mafia lord you thought you were not meeting.
You gave it some thought and come into conclusion that it doesn’t really matter. You know who you met, and whatever it was between the both of, it was happiness, calmness and realness. It’s okay if Haitani is some crazy ass gangster, you met Ran and you’re going to meet him again tomorrow. To hell with it, Ran is the risk you’re going to take.

a morpheus fic where a dream he created wants to live amongst the humans. and when he came to find them for the past 106 years. They’ve made a life for themselves.
even wrote stories/adopted a child (don’t ask how it was complicated) and is living the life they’ve always dreamed of.
Until morpheus came to y/n’s house having found them. They didn’t want to go back. They heard of Gregory’s sacrifice.
They pleaded to the lord of dreams to not take them back to the dreaming. For they build a life in the waking world.
he said they didn’t have a choice in the matter. he needed them in the dreaming/ he kinda needed them to man might be holding some feelings.
y/n begged him pleading. Telling him about their life the child y/n adopted. How they needed them.
he wasn’t listening only caring about bringing his realm back to its glory and making sure the vortex wouldn’t become a threat.
y/n they said. “Why did Gregory have a choice and not I?”
“Gault only wishes to become a dream.”
“And I wish to live this life I have now. With my child. And you’re going to take that away from me. From him!”
cue the child around five years old walking down the stairs holding a stuffed animal. rubbing his eyes.
Reaching out for their parent having had a bad dream. About someone coming to take y/n away.
y/n picked up their son and soothed them, morpheus watching. he could see the tears in their eyes as they looked down at their adopted son.
“you were gone for 106 years. things change in that amount of time. did you think everything everyone would’ve stayed them same since you left.”
Morpheus: “you’ve forgotten yourself y/n-”
“oh, bloody hell, listen here I’m not going anywhere you’re not taking me away from my son.”
“for years I searched for you I never gave up hope. I never stopped thinking about you.”
“I’ve told you about my feelings years passed and yet you ignored me.”
“at least you could have the decency to let me live my life. you cold heartless bastard!”
he had to admit that was kinda hot. the way their face became red how they held their adopted son protectively
the way his shadow slowly crept up on y/n. “You’ve forgotten yourself y/n, you dare speak to your king your creator in such a tone.”
y/n backed up slowly holding their sim close to their chest. “Please.” They pleaded. “Maybe, spending sometime in the shadow’s will teach you a lesson.”
y/n shuddered under their breath. Their lip quivering. Their son looked up at y/n then towards Morpheus.
“You leave them alone!” the child shouted at morpheus.
“they’re the kindest/ bwestest/ sweetest mommy/daddy/parent ever!”
“You take them away I’ll be angry!”
The shadow stops and morpheus looks at the child. “Y/n is needed elsewhere child. They’re not of this world.”
“Hmph, your a meanie!” the child shouted at the king of dreams.
y/n pressed a kiss against their sons head as they looked at morpheus.
y/n looked down as the shadow crept up closer to them. staring blankly at the ground. morpheus spoke to them but the didn’t respond. keeping their mouth shut and he looked at them.
suddenly he felt as if he were as bad as Roderick burgess maybe even worse. condemning y/n to years in the shadows while their child lives on without them. Being at such a young age when they surely needed a parent.
he stopped y/n looked at him. he told them that they could live their human life but that he needed them in the dreaming. y/n nodded, looking down at their son.
“can I come too?”
y/n of course continues to write their stories and their relationship with morpheus slowly develops again and one where they confess their feelings.
I feel like writing this

NOTE: This is my 2nd entry for Pom’s ( @imagining-in-the-margins ) Enemies To Lover’s Writing Challenge! This one was one of the prompts she provided: You and (Character)'s kids don't get along, so you have to have a talk. Turns out you... really really get along... and I couldn’t wait to tackle it! I believe my exact words were: “I’m gonna Parent Trap these bitches”... So do with that what you will lol
———
"I'm so sorry I'm late!"
Two heads turn to stare at me as I burst through the doors. I'm out of breath from running through the building, something the staff really didn't seem to appreciate, though their shouts and annoyed glances were the last thing on my mind.
As I try to catch my breath, the two heads stand, and suddenly I feel a lot smaller.
One of them I recognize— Principal Anteros. I'd met with her before over some of Sky's academic achievements, all positive things, which is why today's circumstances make being in this office rather uncomfortable.
It's also why I seem to shrink with embarrassment at my tardiness— and appearance. Waitressing has its benefits, but today's whirlwind of phone calls and a mention at meeting another parent are not any of them.
Speaking of, the other person in the room is one I've never seen before. He's taller than both Anteros and I, extremely well dressed, and probably the most intimidatingly beautiful human being I'd ever met. I can barely meet his eyes, and so I try not to think about what he's doing here—to think about having to talk to him.
I shrink even further.
"Ms. Y/L/N," Principal Anteros greets. Thankfully she doesn't sound too upset given the circumstances. "Please, have a seat."
I do, brushing off my uniform as if that will somehow help my appearance. The soft leather of the chairs, however comfortable they might be, fail to bring me any comfort at all.
"As I'm sure you've guessed already, this is Doctor Reid, Vivian's father."
Great, he's a fucking doctor? This already bodes well for me...
Regardless of my reservations, I turn to him and give a faint smile. He waves in turn, and for the time being I'm extremely glad he doesn't insist on shaking my hand.
"It's nice to meet you," he says, surely nothing but a formality.
"You, too," I say quickly, then turn back to Principal Anteros. "Your phone call sounded urgent... Is everything alright?"
As soon as I say it, I feel kind of dumb. Because of course everything isn't alright. My child's principal called a meeting with another parent, and that can never mean anything good, not to mention the fucking intimidation and awkwardness in the room right now. I almost apologize, trying to explain that that wasn't exactly what I meant to get across, but then I would have just been talking for way too long, embarrassing myself further.
Once again, I'm thankful for Anteros's ability to move the conversation along. "I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem so. I only bring this to attention because Sky and Vivian are both stellar students. They've never had any disciplinary issues or difficulties with other students..."
"No one's hurt, right?" Mr. Reid asks. I know he's just concerned for his child, but for some reason it feels like an attack on me, like he assumes my kid had something to do with it.
"No, no one's hurt. Thankfully there weren't any physical altercations. But it seems your girls are quite... loud."
The doctor looks like he wants to say something, but I'm quick to jump in before he can. "Sorry... Sky is non-binary. They use they/them pronouns."
I half expect one or either of them to make a big deal or just roll their eyes at me, as most people seem to do when I correct them on the matter, but Anteros gives a sincere apology and Reid probably couldn't have cared any less.
I still can't tell if I like him or not...
But that doesn't matter right now.
"What do you mean by loud?" I continue.
Anteros sighs. "Well, while there hasn't been any physical violence, your kids seem to have very heated arguments, usually during lunch or in the hallway in passing... We thought maybe we could resolve it here since, like I said, they're both excellent students, but then it started escalating to classroom arguments... It's a lot of screaming..."
I have never known Sky to raise their voice at anyone, not even in a situation where I probably would have. Lord knows I'm thankful they don't have my impatience and tendency to get pissed off easily...
So what happened that was so bad, it made them snap?
"You... You're sure you mean Vivian is acting out like this?" Reid asks slowly, and I can't stop myself from laughing out loud.
"Come on, she's a professional. This has been going on for weeks, in her school, I'm sure she would know if it was your kid having a screaming match with someone else..."
This time Doctor Reid actually looks over at me, an eyebrow raised, and though I very much believe what I've just told him, the way he's looking at me right now drops my heart straight down to my stomach, like he's the principal and I'm the student acting out—No, it's worse than that... I feel like he's a disappointed parent, but not with Vivian, with me.
I avoid his intimidating stare and look down at the ground. "Sorry... I'm just... This isn't like Sky, either, I don't know what to do..."
"Well, usually when we have these sort of disputes, we like to have the students talk it out amongst themselves with a moderator present. But we've tried that, and it seems that they still haven't made any progress. Now, I know your children are good at heart, and it seems like you both are excellent parents— You know your children better than anyone here ever could. So, I'm proposing the two of you take a meeting some time and try to figure out how to settle this."
Seriously? If it hasn't been made clear already, this man is a doctor of some kind, planets away from my league in any capacity, and I can just picture the two of us in a screaming match close to what I imagine our children's looked like...
Maybe we can just e-mail.
"Okay," he agrees evenly, and I'm surprised he seems this calm considering I've just practically yelled at him... "I have free time this afternoon if you want to talk it over."
"I have to get back to work, but I get done at five," I sigh, wanting to get this over with. "Are you free then?"
"Mhm."
"Good," Anteros chirps, standing and leaving Doctor Reid and I to follow suit. "Perhaps over the weekend we can get this settled."
I sure as hell hope so.
———
"Ms. Y/L/N, wait!"
I have no idea what he could possibly want from me now that we've set a time and place to talk tonight, but I'm just praying desperately that he doesn't want to take this time alone in the parking lot to get back at me for accosting him in Anteros's office...
Thankfully, his face when he approaches seems rather kind.
"You can call me Y/N..."
"Right," he says, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets and nodding. "I'm Spencer."
"Spencer... So, um... Did you need something?"
"O—Oh, I just... I know you have to get back to work so I'll make this short, but I wanted to see if you wanted to do, uh... dinner tonight?"
"Excuse me?"
"Well, I just figured since we probably didn't expect for our weekend to go this way... We should make it worth it?"
"Are you really trying to turn this into a date?"
"W— No, not really, I just... You know, I thought it might be nice to... make this less like a chore, you know? A—And don't feel like you have to say yes, it was just a thought, I'm sorry if I made this weirder..."
The fact that I still can't figure this man out bothers me, but right now he's blushing, and he looks like he's trying to save himself from embarrassment, and it's so fucking adorable that I don't really care that I was just annoyed.
So I tell him, "Sure. Why not?"
"Really?"
"Yeah... Besides, Lord knows I haven't gone out for dinner in a long time."
The doctor is relieved, a smile creeping up on his lips that suddenly tugs at my insides and makes me wish for a second that it really is a date he's offering... "Okay, good. Do you want to meet at Waterstone, seven o'clock?"
The excitement starts to drain from me as he says it, followed by an incoming wave of embarrassment. "Oh, man, that... That place is kind of expensive, I don't—"
"Oh, it's okay, I'll pay for everything. I'll even wait outside for you so we can go in together if you'd like..."
Why he's being so nice to me I have no idea, but it's making my annoyance melt and my heart start to beat faster, and I really don't know how to feel about that. In fact I'm pretty sure it's weird as fuck given the circumstances.
But all I have to do is make it through this weekend, hopefully all will be back to normal, and I won't ever have to think about it ever again.
"Alright... It's a date."
———
Out of all the scenarios I'd pictured for the end of the night, this definitely had not been one of them.
I finished my shift at the diner, imagining on my drive home the look on his face when I inevitably showed up with something on my face or stained on my dress; Instead I showed up to Waterstone and was greeted with wandering eyes and showered with bashful compliments.
I expected to get into some type of argument about how each of our kids were better than the other or something, but we ended up talking through their traits with compassion, interest, and pride, all while agreeing that we just have to sit with them this weekend and explain that there are easier, better ways to sort out disagreements than screaming at each other in public.
I expected not to have much fun at all, but by the time we gathered the check and headed out the door, Spencer and I were laughing, just a little tipsy on Cabernet, our hands gently brushing and sparks shooting up my arm at the feeling.
I expected to go our separate ways and walk to my car and drive home, but instead he ended up telling me he was taking the Subway home, and I offered to give him a ride to the opposite side of town where I lived (Waterstone was right in the middle).
I expected to walk through the door, stumble straight up to bed, and sleep until Sky inevitably woke me up with them saying I've slept in too late and needed to get ready for work, but instead I ended up following Spencer up to his door to say goodnight.
And now we're at a fork in the road, and I can take one of two paths.
I can say goodnight, watch him walk in, and then go home and forget about this whole thing.
Or I can keep letting him stare at me until I find myself leaning in to kiss him. Whether or not he'll actually reciprocate is another story, but the little bit of wine tingling in the surface of my body and the dark, intense look in his eye gives me more courage than I've had since I met him.
Before I can make a move, Spencer talks, his voice small and inviting. "Do you want to come inside?" The beating of my heart quickens immensely as he takes another step forward and brings his fingers out to graze my chin. "Vivian's with her mom tonight."
Yes. Vivian's mom, who divorced Spencer pretty soon in the marriage after she just decided his job was too much to handle. He'd quit and took a teaching job, but even still, she declined his pleading to stay married and eventually admitted that she just wasn't in love with him anymore. At least she had the decency to let him have joint custody once his schedule cleared up, and it seemed like they were decent co-parents. Maybe even friends.
I think about Sky, how much they wish their dad had stayed, and how much I wish he had too. I was devastated when he left without anything more than a note. For years it took a huge toll on us, and I barely had the headspace to even think about dating anyone since then.
But here I am now, standing with this man who has also lost a spouse, who's somewhat of a single parent, and who seems kind and genuine enough that I don't think I'd have to worry about bringing him into the life of my child.
Though, I don't even know it'll go that far. I'm getting too far ahead of myself, and so to slow down I look at what's right in front of me. Right now.
Spencer looks at me like he wants to devour me. My whole body is tingling from head to toe. I want to kiss him, and I'm pretty damn sure he wants to kiss me back. He just invited me inside, which means that if I accept, we'll most likely end up sleeping with each other.
Again... Definitely not one of the scenarios I'd had in mind when I left the school today. But it's a damn good one, and he's so hot I want to cry.
My flirty switch turns on so fast, it nearly gives me whiplash. "And what are you gonna do if I say yes?"
"Depends... How badly do you want to walk tomorrow?"
My first instinct is to jokingly tell him to put me in a wheelchair, but I settle for kissing him instead, hoping that gives the same sentiment.
The way he melts into my body tells me I've succeeded. My arms fly up to his neck and pull him closer, and he holds me tightly to him, waiting for my lips to part so he can expertly slip his tongue past them.
I whine out and take a step towards the door. Spencer comes with me and fumbles with the keys in his pocket before reluctantly pulling away to get us inside.
Once we take our jackets and shoes off, he clings to me like static, drawn to me like a magnet, and I let him near without a second thought. Our lips find each other perfectly, like they've always meant to fit together. And as pieces of clothing come off on our way through the house and up to his bedroom, our limbs fit together just as well. Nothing is out of place.
Hell, I don't even remember how inferior to him I felt earlier in the day. Our jobs and lifestyles might seem like polar opposites, but for right now, the two of us are on very equal footing, coming together like it's always been meant to be.
I nearly fall apart when his fingers gather wetness from my cunt, just enough to tease me before pulling away and bringing them to his lips. I watch with a whine waiting on the back of my tongue as he slips his fingers past his mouth and sighs.
"More," is all he manages, and I want so badly to tease him—tell him how I know he can be more eloquent than that—but words are all lost on me too, when he drops to his knees and spreads me apart with ease. I have no choice but to reach behind and grip the foot-end of the bed as he works his tongue expertly against me.
Each of my sighs and whines are met with more avidity from him, taking the form of sharp flicks of the tongue over my clit, and once he adds his fingers to the mix, pumping them expertly inside me, I'm a fucking goner.
I come with a silent shout, clenching my thighs around his face and gripping the foot of the bed so tightly it feels like my hands might go numb.
Once my body loosens, Spencer gets up and kisses me, nearly knocking me over. I'm breathless and dizzy as the tang of my arousal coats my tastebuds. His hands are gentle despite the hunger in his lips, and the medley of sensations of all of these things has me weak in the knees.
"Getting harder to stand already, sweetheart?" he laughs, catching me as I fall into him. His hands clutch at my thighs and he carries me to the edge of the bed, crawling over top of me and kissing down my neck. "That's okay... I'll take good care of you."
I still can't manage to speak as he gently pushes in, the slow burn of him splitting me in two rendering me utterly incapable of even thought. I gladly welcome the pressure, especially once he's inside me all the way and lowering his body to mine. Our chests press firmly together as he pulls back and starts a steady pace with his hips. He traps me with his arms, bringing them to either side of my face. And when his fingers brush the hair from my eyes, he stares into them with intensity as he fucks me.
It's slow and hard. It's heart-pounding. It's earth-shattering. It's everything that makes sex worth having. In that moment we're two equals, so wrapped up in the mere feeling of each other that everything else is just background noise. He breathes me in and I do the same, and with each cant forward of his hips, he brings me deeper into this world we've both ultimately created together.
I want more than anything to wrap my legs around him and keep him close to me, but he's fucking me so good that I don't have the willpower. Instead, they lay spread out, lazy and open as his hips move between them. I'm warm all over, tingling everywhere our skin connects. When he kisses me, swallowing my pathetic attempts at whimpering his name, I'm positive that this is what Heaven must feel like.
Whether it's hours or only minutes later, eventually my body tenses, unable to hold back any further, and two particularly deep thrusts from Spencer send me barreling over the edge.
"There it is, sweetheart..." he praises, caressing my face with long, gentle fingers and leaving little kisses wherever they trail. His voice only seems to help me along, each warm syllable soothing the muscles that pulled taut at his mercy. "That's a good girl..."
I feel tired, calmed, and relaxed, when he pulls out only to jerk off over my lower stomach. Through tired eyes, I watch as he lets go and covers me with his release. Hearing him grunt out my name as he does it nearly wakes me up again, and it even finally brings some words out of me.
"God, you're so fucking hot..."
Well... Not exactly elegant, but the feeling gets across.
Spencer laughs and rolls over so that he isn't nearly crushing me anymore. He kisses down my neck, my arm, and he ever-so-slightly swipes the tip of his tongue over the mess he made before kissing my thigh and getting up to leave— presumably to get me something to clean up with.
Sure enough, he returns shortly with a wet washcloth and tenderly cleans me up. I manage to sit, leaning back on my elbows once he's done and smile at him. He's practically kneeling in front of me again, smiling back as his lips press featherlight kisses to the inside of my leg.
"How're you feeling?" he drawls, letting me pull him up to lay down with me.
"Really good. I haven't done that in so long..."
"Me either... I um... I hadn't really thought much about seeing other people once Lena and I got divorced... I guess I just wanted to put all my focus into being the best father I could, you know?"
"Mhm," I answer, turning to face him and interlocking our fingers. "I know exactly what you mean."
We lay like that for a few moments in comfortable silence, hands and limbs tangled while we breathe the same air and revel in the afterglow we've just created.
Suddenly Spencer laughs, and I squeeze his hand. "What is it?"
"I was just thinking... We probably wouldn't have met if not for Anteros calling us in, right?"
"Yeah..." I piece it together. "Guess I never thought of it that way."
"I just think it's funny, because in Greek mythology, Anteros was an Erote, known as an avenger of unrequited love, and he punished those who scoffed at romantic advances made by others... You and I never even thought about dating after our separations, and yet... Here we are now, because of Anteros."
Hearing him educate me on Greek mythology only serves to remind me how different we are. Still, the little story brings a comforting smile to my lips. "Well... Remind me to send her a basket of muffins or something to thank her."
"And tell her what? That you're grateful she got you laid?"
"Yeah. And what about it?"
The two of us dissolve into laughter that eventually fizzles and leaves us silent again. Our fingers are still tangled, and somehow we've snuggled in even closer.
"In any case, I'm glad I got to meet you, Doctor Reid."
"And I, you, Ms. Y/L/N..."
———
In the past two weeks since that first meeting, I hadn't received any more phone calls from Principal Anteros, which bode as a good sign.
Spencer and I decided to see each other as secretly as we could, which meant only giving vague details to our kids as to what we were doing in our spare time— It seemed weird to spring it on them if they didn't get along, so we figured it was best to wait until the situation was handled.
I tried to talk to Sky about their progress with Vivian, but they only insisted that everything was fine and they wouldn't have to worry anymore. And after relaying this information to Spencer, he informed me that Viv had said the same thing to him.
It wasn't until we both realized that they'd said the same things verbatim each time we asked, that something odd was going on.
And that's how we end up right here, Sky and I sitting on a park bench bathed in the golden October sun while I patiently wait for Spencer to 'coincidentally' show up with Vivian.
Thankfully I don't have to wait too long, because almost five minutes after we sit, I hear the familiar sound of my name falling from his lips, and it's hard to contain the cocky, playful smile that appears upon my own.
"Spencer, hey!" I call back, standing up and going to give him a hug. He pulls me in and he's nice and warm. He smells like burnt wood for some reason, and I want to breathe him in forever. Instead, I settle for a sweet kiss on the lips, both because I simply want to and also because it should baffle the fuck out of our kids.
Sure enough we pull away and look to them, and they look panicked. They have no idea what to do, what to say...
"Oh! Sorry... Viv, this is Y/N, Sky's mom."
The pure amusement in Spencer's voice makes me feel even warmer than being in his embrace. I look to his daughter and give her a wave. "Hi."
"H—Hi..."
It almost seems cruel to laugh at their predicament, but as I turn to Sky and introduce them to Spencer, they have clear annoyance written all over their face.
"Okay, Mom, I think we get it... How did you guys figure it out?"
"What, that you two pretended to hate each other so your principal would have to call us both in to meet?"
The pre-teens look at each other and sigh, truly defeated once and for all. "Yeah," they mutter simultaneously.
"Well, it surely didn't make any sense when you got in trouble for yelling at each other in the first place," Spencer points out. "And then when we asked you how things were working out, you both said the same exact thing..."
"It wasn't that hard to figure out, but we appreciate the effort," I add, reaching out to ruffle Sky's hair. They jerk away playfully, and I can't help but notice their smile as they peek over at Vivian.
"Our plan worked, though, so I call it a win," Vivian says with a shrug.
"As long as you two don't plan on causing any more disruptions at school..." Spencer looks between the both of them, and then at me, his eyes softening as he takes my hand and squeezes it. "Then yes. I'd call it a win, too."
I lean into him and laugh. "Turns out it wasn't Greek mythology that brought us together. It was The Parent Trap."
He raises an eyebrow, like he doesn't get what I mean, and before I can ask or explain, Vivian does it for me. "He's never seen it."
Spencer looks between the three of us like a lost and confused puppy, and we all laugh.
"Well, then, maybe we'll have to have a movie night sometime soon," I offer, reaching out for Sky.
Hand in hand, the four of us continue down the pathway, walking away from the setting sun while dried leaves rustle under our feet.

‘Raising A Child With Love’ Story Event — Chapter 01 [Yoritomo Route]
I do not own any of the Ikemen Series content being uploaded on this blog, everything belongs to CYBIRD. Please support them by downloading and playing their games.
read this before interacting with my posts
This is a story about a future that will one day come true ——
One fine day, a few days after I had given birth, I was resting in bed.
(I’m grateful that I’m given time to rest… but I really need to get up soon.)
I’ve gotten a lot better.
I sighed while thinking of my baby who was with his nanny.
Suddenly, the sliding door opened and Yoritomo came in.
Yoritomo: Oh? You’re already up.
Yuno: Lord Yoritomo…! I thought you were busy with work…
Yoritomo: Not to the point whereby I can’t spare some time to visit you.
I was pleased to hear him say that while walking towards me.
(I’m sure you must be extremely busy. But you’re still making time for me…)
Yuno: Thank you.
I tried getting up to thank him, but Yoritomo placed a hand on my shoulder to stop me.
Yoritomo: Don’t over exert yourself. Why do think I’m the only coming to you?
Yoritomo sat down next to me and gently brushed my bangs with a worried look.
Yoritomo: … It seems that your fever has gone down. You look better than before.
(You must’ve been worried sick…)
He kept staring at me, and I looked away shyly.
Yoritomo: What’s wrong?
Yuno: Please don’t stare at me so much. I’m really glad to see you, but…
(I’m lying in bed after falling ill during labour.)
(I’m not wearing any makeup and my hair must be in a horrible mess.)
As I got a little uneasy, Yoritomo sighed and smiled at me.
Yoritomo: Silly girl, what are you getting shy about? You don’t look too bad.
(Nn…)
Yoritomo sealed my lips with a kiss.
When he broke the kiss, he gazed lovingly into my eyes.
Yoritomo: —— We even have a child together now. You don’t have to hide anything from me.
Yuno: Lord Yoritomo…
(… Yoritomo truly cares deeply about me.)
My heart filled with warmth when I realised how loved I was.
Yoritomo: By the way, are you able to get up even just a little?
Yuno: Hm…? Yes, I can.
I was surprised by the sudden question, but I answered anyway.
Yuno: I’ve been sleeping all day, so I’m not tired at all.
Yoritomo looked relieved when I told him that.
Yoritomo: You do look well-rested. That’s great.
Yuno: Was that a compliment?
Yoritomo smiled back at my playful remark.
Yoritomo: Of course it is.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at his expression.
(—— It’s been a while since I last talked to Yoritomo like this.)
When my condition was at it’s worst, I was unable to have such carefree conversations.
I felt my shoulders relax when I realised my life was gradually returning to normal.
Yoritomo: Anyway, if you think you’ll be alright, wait here a bit.
Yuno: Lord Yoritomo…?
Yoritomo stood up and called out to someone who was waiting in the hallway.
Yoritomo: You can come in now.
(Huh…?)
After a short wait, the nanny entered the room with a baby in her arms.
Yuno: Rindoumaru…!
A smile naturally appeared on my face and I immediately tried to sit up.
Nanny: Here, My Lady.
The nanny held out my baby named Rindoumaru.
The nanny bowed as I took the baby into my arms.
My baby was sleeping soundly in the warmth of my embrace.
Yuno: Adorable…
Just looking at him was enough to make me teary eyed.
Yuno: Look, Lord Yoritomo. He’s fast asleep.
Yoritomo also leaned in to look at Rindoumaru’s face.
Yoritomo: Yeah, they say that sleep is good for child growth.
Yuno: Indeed… I’m sure he’ll grow up really fast.
(But… I won’t be able to look after him all the time.)
As the son of the Seiitaishogun, Lord Yoritomo, he was to be raised by a nanny. It was part of the customs.
(I know it’s inevitable, but it still makes me sad.)
I couldn’t help but feel dejected.
But I quickly brushed it off.
(My baby can sense it if I’m gloomy, right?)
(We can’t be together all the time, so we should cherish whatever time we have together.)
Careful not to put in too much strength, I held my son tighter.
The feeling of having him in my arms seemed to melt away all my fatigue.
(I’m so happy to see you…)
Yuno: Thank you for bringing him here, Lord Yoritomo.
Yoritomo: … Yeah.
With a smile on his face, Yoritomo reached out to caress Rindoumaru’s cheek.
It made me incredibly happy to see the tender look Yoritomo gave Rindoumaru.
Yoritomo: —— Yuno, do you want to spend a little more time with him?
(Erm…)
Yuno: Yes, of course.
Yoritomo smiled when I responded energetically.
Yoritomo: I guessed as much.

Can we get the brothers and undatables being at one of Diavolos parties and a nobles starts telling MC that The brothers and undatables don’t really care about them. They start telling them that they are just Diavolos pawn and Lilliths replacement. BTW I love your writing it’s honestly some of my favorite pieces in the fandom.
Some of-of your f-favourite pieces in the fandom??!! Um Chile anyways- OMG!! Y'all are too sweet to me!!! Thank you so much!
I'm not going to lie, I got shocked when I saw another requested this as I just finished writing section for this ask but my brain is dumb and really focused on one sentence and read it utterly wrong
Part 2 - ending
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"ah, so you're the human I've been hearing so much about."
You turned around to see a Noble, you bowed at him with a smile.
"oh- hello, who are you? If the human you've been hearing about is (Y/N) then Yep! That's me!"
"splendid! I'm so glad I finally get to meet you, I've heard so much from Diavolo and news sources, you wouldn't mind humouring me for a dance and talk?"
"it'll be my honour." You took his arm, letting him guide you to the dance floor.
You could feel the brothers eyes on you, watching closely to how you rested your hands on the demons shoulder. All of them slowly stalking as you two danced.
"what is it like being a human in the Devildom?"
"scary...at first but now I feel like it's my home! I really can't imagine being anywhere else."
"free housings, connections to the most powerful beings in this realm and outside, pacts with the the 7 brothers and having them do anything you desire."
"I mean- I guess? It's nothing like that or that I'm using them, it's a long story - I love them all very much."
"you may not be using them but they're definitely using you, we're demons after all and there is nothing more precious to us than a soul likes yours."
You were suddenly pulled through the crowd, his dancing becoming quicker and sharp as if sensing the brothers watching him.
"don't you realize you're just the princes pawn? A small piece of a puzzle of his 'plans' - do you really think a demon of his importance would really care about bringing peace?! It's all but a ruse and you're just helping him fulfil it."
"that's not true! Diavolo is a kind and thoughtful man, he wants peace and I will be a stepping stone for that to happen - after all I am a link to all three realms."
"human with demon pacts and ancestral connections to both the brothers and angels - how is it being the ancestor to Lilith? I heard she was a real doll but such a shame she risked it all for some moral, have they ever compared you two?"
"how do you know about my ancestor? They've- never properly made a comparison and I'm sure they mean it in an affectionate way-!"
"don't you ever feel like a replacement? I heard since the discovery they've treated you even better, that can't be a coincidence."
Your blood went cold as your heart collapsed into your stomach. Your eyes glancing to the brothers In the distance. You knew he wasn't right but apart of you was scared. After all, he knew so much that you didn't think anyone outside of your social circle would know. How did he know all this?
"we went through something really traumatic together, it was bound to make us closer-"
"just admit it, you know you're being use but you just won't accept it because you're scared of facing and truth and being left - is there something unpleasant waiting for you in the human world? Is that why you're so willing to be preyed upon?"
"it's not like that..."
He suddenly dipped you, you clutched to his shoulder as tears glazed your eyes.
"isn't it? Can you confidently say it isn't?"
"yes.." your voice came out shaky and distant, you wanted to be confident but you couldn't.
"they don't care about you, all they want is to use you, make it easier on yourself and leave, run as fast as you can and never come back to the devildom."
Lucifer:
He was the first to reach you after your dance with the Noble
He twirled you so you would face him
"what did he say to you? You're crying."
"it's nothing..."
He opened his mouth to press on but he saw you grit your teeth
Glaring at the dance floor as you two stepped to the music
"If he threatened you then I'll handle him, it's no issue for me to do so."
You just shook your head
"stop being so overprotective, I know you don't actually like having to look after me, just stop forcing yourself."
"That's not true, I look after you because I care about you, it's become more than a duty."
You just clicked your tongue, pushing yourself away from him, disappearing into the crowd
Mammon:
Mammon held your hand, hugging you from behind as you two swayed
"You don't look too happy, are you overwhelmed?"
"I am now that you're here."
Which wasn't a lie, you felt so conflicted and betrayed, having him around just made you want to cry
He frowned, spinning you around
"oi, what's that all about? If I did something you gotta be honest with me,I swear I didn't steal nothing."
"I'd prefer it if you did, then being mad at you wouldn't feel so horrible."
He raised a brow
He was completely confused on why you were acting like this
"Was it that noble guy? Did he say something to you? I swear when I find him-"
You shook your head, moving away from him
"You're not going to do anything, you're a coward - just stop pestering me."
You felt awful but you didn't do anything to fix it, just running away from the shocked demon
Levithan:
"You here to take a break? Join you, I will."
He pointed to the empty spot smiling at himself for his Yoda voice
You wanted to feel bad but right now you were extremely upset
"Yeah, I do, I don't want to be around anyone right now."
"I get that but Lucifer said someone's has to be with you but I don't blame you for not wanting me to do it-"
You snarled
"can you not make this about you?! I just don't wanna deal with anymore demons!"
You shuffled closer into yourself, eyes subconsciously finding the noble you talked to
Levi followed your gaze, his Insecure angst turning into annoyance
"That noble did something....it's okay to speak up, we can go to prince-"
"go away! I don't want to keep hearing you pretend to care about me!"
He was stunned
You suddenly stood up and trudged away from Levi, seeking out the bathroom
Satan:
You ducked away from the crowd of demons
Sticking close to the wall as you clutched your arms
The nobles clawing at your mind as you stared to the side
"Did you enjoy the dancing? You look tired, I know a good hiding spot."
"Where is it?"
"I'll take you there-"
He went to grab your shoulder but you just shrugged him away
Not daring to look at him
"just tell me where it is, I'll get there on my own just fine."
Satan turned his head, trying to get a better look at your expression
But you just stepped away from him
"if you're not going to tell me I'm going to go find it myself-"
He grabbed your wrist, cutting you off
"Was it that noble? What did he say to you?"
His anger flared as he glared at the noble
You Yanked your wrist away, frowning
"wouldn't you like to know?! Just let me- just let me breathe-!"
He paused, inhaling a deep breath
You took that moment to run off, wanting to escape the situation
Asmodeus:
"oh (Y/N)~!! I'm so glad you're finally free, when I saw that guy dancing with you I got so jealous, I thought you were going to give me all your dances?"
He playfully pouted whilst holding your hands
When he saw you weren't smiling his chipper mood immediately dropped
You moved away from him, Unable to pull your thoughts together
"what's wrong..? Did he say something?"
You shook your head
Should you tell him? But what if they treat you different?
What if it really is all a fake?
"I just need to get some air."
"oh! I'll come with you!"
He springed up, grabbing your hand once again
You threw yourself back in panick
"NO-! I mean- no thank you."
You quickly dashed to the nearest balcony ignoring the murmurs in the ballroom
Beezlebub:
You bumped into one of the many buffet tables
Avoiding an active ballroom wasn't easy
"you're not dancing anymore? Want to sit with me?"
You jumped, somehow surprised Beel was at a buffet table
"no....I'm good, I'm going to the dorm."
"Already? Do you need me to walk you home? It's pretty late."
You shook your head
You wanted to chew him out for being so kind of you
Your overwhelming emotions rising as you tried to stay dismissive
"Just tell the Brothers I'm leaving, I think I'm going to head back home."
Beel raised a brow
You looked away from his confused expression
"my real home, I need to leave the Devildom."
"you're upset from your dance with the noble, we can talk about instead of you leaving-"
"I need a break."
You repeated, your voice becoming irritated and cold
You held back your frustration and left the party
Belphegor:
"Are you leaving?"
You yelped, knocking your hand on the main door
You just wanted to slip out of the party but it seems you'd have to confront one of the brothers
Belphegor yawned, rubbing his eye
He was sleeping in the coat closet until you woke him up by your footsteps
"yes- I'm tired of this party."
"I'm tired aswell, let's go together, I'm ready to sleep."
He shuffled out of the closet but you put your hands out Infront of you
"go sleep in the palace, I don't want to be around you or-or any of you-!"
"Was it that noble? I felt jealous when I saw you two dancing together but now it seems I shouldn't of, he said something to you, didn't he? What did he say?"
You didn't even realize he saw you or was awake when that happened
You backed up until you bumped into the door
Belphegor cornered you
Wanting his questions answered but you just shoved him back
"leave me alone-! I know you're just see me as an replacement!"
You slammed the door after you and sprinted back to the dorms
UNDATEABLES↓
Diavolo:
"I see you're expanding your circle, I'm glad- why do you look so upset?"
"it's nothing, my Lord-"
You both stopped
You haven't referred to him like that since the beginning of the exchange program
He leaned down to get a better look at you, eyes darting over the conflicted and slightly Horrified expression
Both of your gazes landed on the noble
"What did he say to you? If he made you uncomfortable or threatened you, I'll deal with this-"
He tried to give you a comforting pat on the shoulder but you pushed your body away
"Quit it! Stop trying to act like you care."
You were sure if people saw your interaction they'd be glaring at you
Thinking of your audacity
But Diavolo was worried about you
He knew that Nobel has hurt you
"I do care for you, we all do - please tell me what happened."
You covered your ears, tears pricking your eyes
You shook your head and ran away
Needing space to figure out your thoughts and your emotions
Barbatos:
You trudged past Everyone, growing irritated with yourself
Were you really going to believe that guy? But it seemed to make sense
If it wasn't right then why did you feel this way?
"here, you look as if you need it."
He hands you a handkerchief
You took it slowly, looking at him with distrust
You frowned as he just smiled at you patiently
"why do you even care? Is it because of the prince?"
"I'm simply helping because I desire to, it seems Someone is causing an issue with you."
"Don't you know everything? You should know exactly what's wrong....you don't have to keep acting all vague in hopes it'll throw me off, I know you all are-"
He tilted his head, eyes squinting with an almost annoyed expression
"nevermind....Just leave me alone."
"I will but it is best to remind you that the Noble you're trusting Is not the type of man you want to be around, he is using you not the other way round."
Your froze
Unsure how to respond, you clutched the handkerchief as you gritted your teeth
You quickly ran off not wanting to confront your emotions
Solomon:
Isn't this Fun? I've even made a few pacts whilst here-"
"why are we even here? Do you ever feel like we're not actually wanted? Just being used?"
Your eyes flickered between Diavolo and the noble
Rubbing your arm as you tried to soothe yourself
Solomon followed your eyes
Clicking his tongue
"I see, that nobles gotten to your head, don't fear my apprentice, I'll fix this."
He rolled up his sleeves but you just grabbed his arm
You felt stupid for thinking you two could be on the same thought process
Was it really just the Nobel Getting to you???
But what you're feeling feels so real and so genuine - this feeling of just being a pawn or a replacement to them
"No...it's silly to think we'd be on the same page, they have much more history with you meanwhile all I have is being their sister's ancestor."
You walked off leaving the wizard to mewl over your words
You didn't stay to find out what would happen now that Solomon knew the gist of what the Nobel said to you
Simeon:
As you charged away from the party you suddenly bumped into Someone
Simeon grabbed your arms as he steadied you
But that's when he noticed your teary eyes
"Oh, what's wrong? You look upset."
"I want to leave this party."
You frowned, holding his arms whilst he held you
You glanced at the demons on the dance floor
"Are you sure? The brothers will be upset with your sudden disappearance-"
You huffed
Pushing yourself away from Simeon as. got ready to just leave by yourself
"if you don't take me back then I'll just go myself."
He was caught off by your sudden change in mood
Realizing something really harsh must of happened he grabbed your hands and wiped under your eye
"Wipe your tears, I'm sure Luke will be thrilled to see you in purgatory hall."
And just like that he walked you out of ball
A few shouts from the brothers rang in your eyes but you just sped up your pace
“It nothing Lucifer, its just…. It just a remainder not to disobey orders….” She trails off, starting to tear up “it my fault, I got to reckless and almost someone I care about killed” she places a hand on the scar try to keep it together and not show weakness Infront of the Avatar of Pride.
Lucifer slowly took off one of his gloves, and walk closer to MC, and place his hand over hers
“Scars are nothing to be ashamed off, you did it to protect someone you care and….” He places his hand on her chin and lean her head back to met his black and red glance. “Your safe here, you don’t have to worry to go back to that life anymore”
You just the tears fall as your face soft and embrace him, feeling safe knowing that you don’t have hide you past to him.
Mammon
“This all your Mammon!” she angerly whisper in his ear, and groan at her pestering.
“ShHH! Quiet, they’ll hear us human-” then you smack him slightly on the back of his head.
“Whoops, you called me human again”
“Hey! Do you really need to- WAIT there’s a car over there” him point out, and quickly book it to the park vehicle and see that it isn’t lock, however?
“Crap! The key isn’t here” he tries to look around, but quickly push to the passenger, and MC sat the driver sit and open up under the steering wheel.
“Why do I have to do everything around here!” she grabs and cut two wires and start hot wire. In second the car starts up and she buckle her seat belt. “Mams, you guys can survive a car to the face?”
“Yeah…. Why- wait!?! What are you-”
“Buckle yourself in!” She quickly steps on the gas, the demons been chasing them heard the engine, but quickly get hit by the car. As the human and avatar of greed make their escape.
“WHAOOO! I have fun thrill in months” as MC enjoy the adrenaline, Mammon looks over to the human that he was suppose to protect, in amaze and fear. He makes a mental note that Lucifer isn’t the only he shouldn’t just provoke.
Leviathan
“This is impossible!” Levi is struggling with a level from a game from the human world that he just bought, while MC behind him, trying to hold her laughter.
Is a mock version of gang game and Levi, is at the level of the game where to rival gangs are fighting each other for territory?
“You’re focusing on the grunts and not the ones who are hiding from afar- look” she grabs the control from Levi and start playing the level like it was nothing, as she explained how and why he keep dying, all the while Levi is both shock with how MC can play and concern about the implication of how she gotten the knowledge.
“There, now you just have to escape, I never good with car chase, only driving really fast- Huh…. Levi was wrong?”
Levi snap from his train of thought and grab the controller from her, and finishing the level.
“MC, were you-”
“Yeah, but left that behind me.”
Satan
MC and Satan are watch Mammon and Levi being strung up by Lucifer from afar.
“I’m surprise, that you’re not phase about this” Satan asks looking over to her, watching why she not reacting on the display of punishment Infront of her.
“EH… I’ve seen worst”
“Really? What worst then this”
“Being killed-”
“What!?! That’s not punishment!”
“You didn’t let me finish, watching someone being killed Infront of you is worst. It’s a way to learn to obey your boss and survive in world”
She looks on to the demons being strung, while Satan is still letting the information sink in, who know that the human was brought to hell, has already lived in one.
Asmodeus
“I’ve been meaning to asks darling, where did you get your scars?” Asmo asks MC as he and her are taking a bath together.
“Which one?”
“Well…. All of them”
“Ah…. All of them are from fights that I got to”
“Why would you go and get in to fights, you’re to precious” Asmo cooed them move closer and grab her hand, and start scrubbing her arm. She laughs as she is tickled by his action.
“You know, for a bunch of demons. your all nicer than other humans back home” pauses for a moment, by continue with a giggle.
“Well, you don’t have to worry anymore. As long I’m here no one will ever lay a finger on you again” and that’s a promise he made to you and himself.
Beelzebub
“I’m glad you like it Beel” MC made Beel a homemade dish from the human world to calm the hungry demon.
“Its so good, I like your cooking”
“Nah…. You would like Sal’s cooking, he’s the one who taught me how to cook this”
“Maybe, if we go to the human world, you might think he’ll cook for me and my brothers”
“Yeah totally! He loves my friends…...but he can’t”
“Why? Did he leave or something?”
“His at prison, he took the blame for me. And said you should get out of this life….. I guess cooking isn’t the only thing I learn from him” she laughs to hide the fact she misses her mentor.
Beel quickly engulfs her in bear hug, and rub her back.
“Is okay, maybe we can visit him someday”
She sighs and let the tears fall as she return the hug.
“I-I’ll like that, thank Beel”
Belphegor
“You’re still up” MC asks Belphie who is standing at the doorway at her room.
“Sorry, I was waiting for you”
“Really why?”
“You been having nightmare with some men with guns, I figure to help you” she let out sharp gasp and turn away from Belphie.
“I’m sorry to keep you up-”
“No! I already cause so much pain; I want to help you to keep those nightmares away. Like I promise.”
She looks back with her eyes widen and clenching his pact mark on her wrist. She hastily grabs his hand with her head hang low.
“P-please…. Make the nightmares go away….”
“Anything for you, I’ll keep the nightmares and the bad men away”
Diavolo
“You like what you see” Diavolo spoke behind MC startling her, Diavolo was shock to her reaction almost bumping into crown in display.
“Oh, I-I wasn’t planning to steal this I swear-”
“Calm down, I trust you. Sorry for startling you.”
“You trust me, even with my background” she mutters, and look directly at Diavolo’s eyes to see if his lying or not.
“I didn’t look in to your past, only your connection with Lilith. I believe in Demons, Angel, and Humans can have second chances. If you’re a good person now, as long you learn from your past. I don’t see to bring up old scars”
“Thank you, My lord”
“Please, Call me Diavolo”
“I don’t think Lucifer will like that”
Barbatos
MC is inside Barbatos room, helping him clean, to the surprise of the demon butler seeing that he didn’t help in clean. But he can’t refuse the human.
But then she stops and look at the door she uses in going back in time in the time of the “Incident”
“Barbatos, can you see any path where I stayed in the human world and never came here in the first places”
“I’m afraid, I am forbidden to use my powers like that, why may I ask what makes you think of that?”
“I think, I got the luckiest path. And I’m thankfully for this. I think I’ll be in the side of the road-”
Suddenly Barbatos places a hand on her shoulder, causing her to look at the demon.
“Its better not to think of what could’ve happen and focus on your presents self”
Simeon
“Simeon, am I bad person?” She asks while Simeon is writing a draft of his story.
“No, why do you ask?”
“You’re the closes person to being pure and good, is it good for me to threaten people even though I was just following orders”
Simeon stop writing and put the quill down, and look over to MC.
“Did they threat you?”
“Yes”
“Did you, like doing things like that to other?”
“No!” she quickly sat up to that question.
“Are you willing to do that again?”
“Never!”
“Then you’re a good person.”
Solomon
Solomon and MC are at purgatory hall practicing spells for class, when MC spill the potion on to herself, then she starts taking off her shirt, leaving Solomon blushing and turning his back to give her some privacy.
“MC!?! Warner me next time, before you start striping.”
“Sorry, force of habit”
“What you always spill potion on yourself all the time, back home” she looks with bows rise up.
“Oh… No, every time I get back home from a job, I’m usually covered in blood and I don’t want to leave any evidence behind”
“W-what exactly, are those “Jobs” of yours?”
“I you know shady things, if you can keep secrets about yourself. Then I have secrets of my own” she smiled teasing him.
But to him, its no tease.
Luke
“Luke, little advise from me. Don’t be like Mammon or Me” MC and Luke watches Mammon, Levi and Solomon playing poker in class waiting the bell to ring.
“I know Mammon shouldn’t be followed, but you’re a good person I don’t see why you rope yourself with him.”
“Oh sweetie, I’m just nice to people I care about. I don’t care for others outside my gan- never mind”
“Wha-” then the bell rings, and Mammon rushes and grab MC by arm and dragging her out the classroom.
Leaving Luke confuse and worried.
