"Just kiss me."
"Hold on a second."
"We really need to practise this."
"I know, just give me a minute."
You scoot away from Jungkook on the couch. You were sitting so close, almost about to kiss him actually, but his intense, doe-eyed gaze made you pause, needing a grounding breath.
You’ve never been this close to his face, and somehow, you can’t seem to cross the invisible line that keeps you from just pressing your mouth on his. Jungkook’s your friend, after all. You’ve known him since he was five and once saw him get his head stuck at school, so of course it’s weird.
You press your lips together in an attempt to focus, and lean in again, but once your eyes meet his, a smile urges on your mouth.
"Oh my god." Jungkook’s frustrated sigh cuts the air. "This can’t already be doomed to failure because of a simple kiss."
"It’s not! I just need to mentally prepare myself."
"I feel...offended? Kinda?" Jungkook weaves his fingers through his hair. "I’ve never had to convince someone to kiss me."
"It’s not you. I promise!" you say, reaching for his knee. "Under any other circumstance, if we weren’t friends, I’d love to kiss you. You’re hot and cute, but the situation we’re in makes me feel so stupid. It’s absurd."
Jungkook cringes when you call him cute and removes your hand off his knee.
Yesterday, when Jungkook showed up unannounced, it took him full ten minutes to convince you he wasn’t pulling a prank on you.
Who would believe their friend begging you to fake date them? It’s ridiculous. Only happens in the fictional world.
But then Jungkook showed you the pap picture that was circulating online. The comments and gossip were nasty and you knew he was caught up in a deep mess.
In the photo, Jungkook was surrounded by two girls, his arms draped casually around their waists as they stumbled out of the club, a half-full drink lazily held in his hand. His hair was a tousled mess, likely from the girls running their fingers through it, and the first few buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing a small peek into his defined chest. It was bold, provocative — definitely not the ideal image of a responsible twenty-year-old football rookie.
Probably the worst pap pic you’ve seen of him so far. And the worst timing too.
"You were wasted," you commented, staring at the article he was showing you on his phone.
"And I had so much fun last night." His voice was tinged with frustration, like a child whose favourite toy had just been snatched away. "But then I woke up to this picture, and a flood of missed calls and texts." He rubbed his hands over his face, exhaling sharply. "They just had to ruin it for me."
Noticing your raised eyebrow, Jungkook quickly backtracked. "No, I know it’s my fault too. I shouldn’t have done this right before the World Cup, especially after what I promised. I just hate how everything turns into such a big deal, just because... well, just because I’m me."
The idea of fake dating Jungkook had seemed absurd, something out of a rom-com rather than real life. But the more he explained the pressure he was under, the more you understood why he needed this.
Jungkook was your best friend, and if kissing him in public could save his career, why not help him?
While you got ready for meeting his manager, stepping out of your comfy, rotting-at-home clothes, which consisted of little shorts and an oversized t-shirt (you think it’s actually Jungkook’s, but you’re not quite sure since it’s been in your closet for years now), and slipping into a casual, more presentable outfit, Jungkook busied himself fixing your laundry machine.
Jungkook’s manager knows you well – his entire team does. You are known as Jungkook’s close friend and had been spotted with him on multiple occasions.
Taesung greeted you warmly, though surprise flickered across his face when Jungkook introduced you as the solution to the fake dating plan.
You felt Taesung’s gaze assessing you, weighing your suitability for the role. Jungkook’s PR agent mirrored his scepticism, tilting her head in doubt. They exchanged uncertain glances, which made you nervous, but Jungkook was determined. Jungkook wasn’t Jungkook if he didn’t get what he wanted. With a few persuasive words and his usual charm, he quickly won Taesung over, who sighed and leaned back in his chair, conceding defeat.
"We need to establish the narrative from the start," Taesung said seriously. "The media will dig into your background, and they’ll want to know if there’s anyone else in the picture. So, to be clear, you’re officially single. No boyfriend, no complicated past relationships that could surface. We don’t need any messy stories."
You assured them that there was none. Multiple times. No angry exes, no secret relationships – your personal life was as drama-free as it could get.
Taesung slid a document across the desk.
"This ensures that whatever happens, no details of this arrangement-"
Jungkook’s hand shot out, halting the paper. "No," he said firmly. "She doesn’t need to sign anything."
"Jungkook, it’s just a formality," Jiwoo began, but Jungkook insisted.
"I trust ___. She’s not just anybody. She’s my best friend. If she says she won’t talk, she won’t talk. The NDA isn’t necessary."
"It’s okay," you assured him gently.
Jungkook shook his head. "No, this is ridiculous. You’re not signing a stupid contract."
After more arguing, his manager eventually relented.
Jiwoo outlined the plan in more detail with Taesung – public appearances, social media posts, carefully orchestrated moments that would sell the story to the public. You felt a bit intimidated by the pressure, but you’d get used to it. After all, this arrangement is only for a few months – just until his management can announce that you’d mutually decided to break up on good terms.
But you both need to practise before stepping in front of the cameras.
Which leads you to this moment, a day later, sitting on your couch trying to practice how to act like a couple. And it’s not going well at all.
"Okay, let’s start from the basics then," Jungkook suggests. He rises to his feet, offering you his hand. "Hold my hand."
You gingerly accept his hand, standing up as well.
"See, don’t we look cute?" Jungkook drags you to the mirror. "Or maybe – let’s intertwine our fingers. I think that would look better." He holds your interlaced hands up between the two of you, a satisfied grin plastered on his face. "So cute, right?"
A giggle bubbles in your throat. "You act like you’ve never had a girlfriend."
"Well, it has been a while," he admits, the slightest sulk on his lips. "I’m too busy for relationships." He swings your hands. "The only times I ever hold a girl’s hand is in missionary, above their head when-"
"Jungkook," you interrupt quickly before he can delve any deeper into the story. You give him a mock glare, but there’s no hiding the amusement dancing in your eyes. "Didn’t we both agree on only talking about your bed stories after I’ve had at least one bottle of soju – preferably two, so I can mentally brace myself?"
You love him, you really do, but you don’t want to hear about his bed stories, unless you’re the slightest bit tipsy at first.
"Oh, yeah." He shakes his head apologetically. "Forgot about that."
"Wait, maybe that’s what we should do!" you exclaim as an idea pops into your mind. Your hand slips out of his, and you take a step toward the kitchen. "I think there are a few bottles of soju in the fridge."
"We’re not getting drunk to build up the courage to kiss," he insists. "We shouldn’t need alcohol to pretend we’re into each other."
Jungkook pulls you closer to him, and you stumble slightly, but his hand instinctively moves to the small of your back, steadying you.
"Fine," you sigh dramatically, hand on his chest. "Was just an idea to make this easier for us." The fabric of his shirt is extremely soft and your fingers glide over it.
"I mean, it’s not like we’re complete strangers. And they know it too. We’ve been through enough to pull this off without breaking a sweat."
He’s is right. The public knows you’re one of Jungkook’s closest friends. It wouldn’t be totally unbelievable that you two might have fallen in love.
After all, you’ve always been comfortable with each other —hugging, cuddling during movie nights, play-fight over silly things just to annoy each other. You’ve shared quiet moments, like when you’d fall asleep on his shoulder after a long day or when he’d run his fingers through your hair absentmindedly while you talked. There were times when Jungkook was exhausted and crashed at your place, your fingers gently scratching his head as he slept peacefully. You’ve kissed each other’s cheeks in thanks without hesitation.
Jungkook’s touch isn’t foreign to you.
And still, the thought of acting like you’re in love when you’re not feels strange. Sure, you’ve always been physically close, but this was different. This time, every gesture would be for an audience, every touch would carry a different meaning. It wasn’t just casual anymore.
"I guess," you reply, fiddling with the hem of his oversized t-shirt, avoiding his gaze for a moment. "I think it’s just weird to be this close for show."
Jungkook watches you for a moment, his eyes softening as he considers your words. "Yeah," he murmurs. "But it’s not like we’re faking the friendship part. The rest...we’ll figure out." His fingers clasp your hip, the pads of his fingers gently digging into your flesh. "Don’t think about it too much," he says. "When we have our first public appearance as a couple, pretend like the cameras aren’t there, act nonchalant. Just... y’know. You and me."
You pout, an involuntarily frustrated grumble leaving your lips as you drop your forehead on his chest.
"I hope I’ll do well under all the attention."
You’ve dealt with your fair share of noisy people trying to pry into your relationship with Jungkook, but so far, it’s been somewhat manageable.
"Just you and me," Jungkook repeats, his tone softer and more assured this time. "Nothing can happen to you when I’m there."
You glance up at him, taking in the gentle lines of his face.
"Maybe you should’ve hired a girl that can deal well with attention," you voice your thoughts.
"No." Jungkook’s immediate response rolls off harshly on his tongue. "You were my first thought. I wouldn’t have done this with anyone else but you."
"I was your first choice?" Giddiness makes your face shine.
"Yeah. I don’t think I would’ve felt comfortable with anyone but you."
"Be honest, you just really wanna kiss me."
You stand on your tippy toes, a silly smile spreading across your face.
Jungkook cocks his head to the side, a teasing glint buried in his eyes.
"I think you do."
With a surge of confidence, you take a small step closer, your heart beating a little faster as you close the gap between you and Jungkook. Your lips meet in a gentle, fleeting touch. The contact only lasts for a moment before you pull back, your eyes searching his for a reaction.
"That was a smooch. Not a kiss."
You frown upon hearing him complain.
"What, you want to make out with me in public?"
Jungkook sniffs a laugh. "No, but maybe a little more than how fifth graders kiss."
"You’re a kissing expert now?" you quip back, narrowing your eyes at him.
Jungkook leans in slightly. "I just know what I like."
The challenge in his voice sparks something in you. "Then show me how you like it."
His gaze drops to your lips, and a flutter of excitement spreads in your tummy. It’s unexpected and thrilling and it catches you off guard.
Jungkook’s hand, which had been resting on your back, slowly glides up, his fingers curling around the side of your face, his thumb brushing delicately against your cheekbone.
Your breath hitches as he leans in. His lips meet yours again, but this time there’s more weight behind the contact – still soft, but deeper, more intentional. His lips move slowly and there’s a warmth to it, a tenderness that makes your heart race even as the kiss remains gentle. He tilts his head slightly, deepening the connection just enough to make you melt into him.
The teasing atmosphere lingers in the back of your mind, but for now, it’s pushed aside by the gentle pressure of his lips on yours.
Kissing Jungkook doesn’t feel weird – which makes it a little weird.
When you both finally pull back, it’s gradual. You can feel his breath, warm and steady, mingling with your own.
"Like that," he whispers, his voice barely audible, yet it sends a shiver down your spine. "You’re a good kisser."
You pull back completely. "Excuse me?" you say. "You were doubting my kissing abilities?"
"No, not at all!" Jungkook shakes his head, amusement crinkling his eyes as he gazes at your sulky face. "You’re just a very good kisser. Like, super gentle and smooth."
Heat crawls up your cheeks. You ignore the flush of warmth and keep your composure. "Have you been using the lip balm I got you? Your lips are soft."
"I know, right? Not chapped at all anymore."
He traces two fingers along his bottom lip and your eyes follow the motion, finding yourself inexplicably drawn to his lips.
"Are we done practising?"
"Do you think we looked natural?" Jungkook’s hand slips into yours once more. While he is focused on the mirror, adjusting the way your bodies fit together – tugging you closer, alternating between holding your hand and interlacing your fingers – your mind is still replaying the memory of the tender press of his lips. "For me, it felt pretty natural. Not awkward at all. What do you think?"
It’s the simplicity with which he says it that draws a short laugh out of you.
The sound grabs his attention. "What?"
"You’re just...extremely serious about this. I don’t think they’ll analyse the way we hold hands, Kook."
"But that’s their favourite thing to do," Jungkook replies. "The gossip mills love analysing every step you take, where your eyes wander, who you smile at." A note of bitterness threads through his words.
He’s been playing pro for just two years and has fallen victim to greedy people intruding on his life so many times already. Former friends who leaked private conversations, acquaintances who turned their brief interactions into tabloid fodder, even strangers who felt entitled to a piece of him just because he was in the public eye.
Jungkook searched for solace and silence at your place many times, trying to escape the madness. In the quiet of your dorm, breathing felt easier.
You never asked questions, never pried. In a world where everyone seemed out to get something from him, you just let him be, offering him the comfort of your presence without demanding anything in return.
"People were just criticising this dude – ah, who was it again?" Jungkook stares at the ceiling, raking through his thoughts. "I can’t remember his name, but this guy was getting called out for choosing the booth seat while making his girlfriend sit in the aisle seat."
"The aisle seat? Come on, it’s an unwritten rule that-" You fall silent once you catch Jungkook’s pointed expression. "I mean, yeah. It’s definitely wrong to make a big deal about it. Maybe she prefers sitting there," you shrug.
"But do you see what I mean?" he asks. "Whether you intend to or not, you’re always judging what others do. And that judgement only intensifies when it involves a celebrity."
"Ah, when did you become so famous Jeon Jungkook?" You sigh, looking down at your linked hands.
"I know, right? Two years ago, no one would’ve cared if I had a threesome." He shakes his head in disbelief. "And now I am being punished for it—kicked off the national team, and my best friend has to save me by fake dating me."
"I feel like this would make a good movie," you giggle.
“We have to practise hard, then," he says.
You pull your phone from your pocket. "What if we film ourselves kissing so we can monitor it better?" You set up your phone on a nearby shelf and position yourselves in front of the camera. "Don’t engaged couples do this? I feel like we’re practising for our wedding kiss."
"Oh, butterflies."
"Huh?" You stare at the way he holds his hand against his tummy.
"You just told me you want to marry me. That gave me butterflies."
You slap his arm. "Stop being silly, we have a whole nation to fool that we’re in love."
~
Hang outs with Jungkook often end with the two of you lounging on the couch, snacks scattered everywhere, and a movie playing on the TV.
"Next one?" Jungkook asks from his spot beside you, inching closer with his pleading doe eyes.
You try to push him away by the, but he doesn’t budge.
"I need to study. Like, for real." You had warned him before starting the movie, agreeing to watch only one, but he still tried his luck.
He holds up one finger. "Just one."
You push him off your body, and this time he allows it, his back slumping against the couch. The grumble of complaint in his throat gets muffled by his pursed lips.
"You’re smart. The material is probably set in your brain anyway. No need to revise anything."
You scoff at his bratty words.
"So you won’t ever need to ditch hangouts for football practice because you’re already so good at it?"
"Well, no." He drags the word out, brows furrowed as he considers your question, trying to come up with a reasonable answer. "But I know you don’t need to study as much as you do. You’re just naturally smart."
"I wish, but I ace my exams because I study as much as I do."
"Aish," Jungkook mutters, standing up from the couch and stretching his limbs. His toned tummy peeks out from under his lifted shirt.
"Karina will be home soon anyway," you say. "And I’m not ready to play pretend in front of her yet." The thought of confessing to your roommate that Jungkook is now your boyfriend makes you shudder.
It was one of the conditions that made you briefly reconsider if you could really pull this off or if Jungkook should find another girl. You didn’t just have to act in front of the cameras – everyone had to believe that you and Jungkook are a couple, including your friends and family. You dread the day you have to tell your parents.
You know they once secretly hoped Jungkook would become your boyfriend when you were older, but as he became famous and the public started scrutinising his every move, your parents grew wary of his wild, reckless side.
You follow Jungkook to the door.
"You think she’ll believe us?"
"I dunno," you shrug. "Not sure if she’ll buy it. She’ll probably be suspicious since I’ve never talked about you in that way when we gossip, but I think we’ve practised enough to at least make it look like we love each other."
Jungkook nods and hugs you briefly. "We’ll figure it out." He steps out of your apartment, typing on his phone. "My manager sent me details about our first public appearance." He scans the text, but quickly looks up at you again with an annoyed frown. "Ah, so many words. I’ll just forward you the messages." With a sweet smile and a quick wave, he starts to leave, but you tug at the back of his shirt.
You cup his face, pulling him down to you, and plant a kiss on his lips.
"You’re my boyfriend now. Act like it."

Is this?? My child????
Dp x dc prompt
So I’ve seen, and even made, plenty of prompts where Jason is a baby ghost but like… what if it was the other way around??
Jason (having been dead and revived for a good several years) has a fully adult ghost core. It’s a little misshapen and malnourished so he can’t turn into a ghost but it’s there. He’s basically a halfa that’s a bit more on the living side.
Danny on the other hand, having only died a year ago at most, has a baby core. Young child at most. Unfortunately bc of his living side other ghost have a hard time recognising how young his core is. Like they can feel that his core is a bit weird for an adult ghost but just assume that it’s bc he’s a halfa and so treat him like an adult, making him fully unaware that he is actually a child.
Anyway, one day something happens that causes these two to meet and immediately, for reasons he can not explain, Jason is convinced this whole ass teenager in front of him is actually a baby and is now his child.
Basically Jason’s core (with his obsession to protect children) is able to tell that Danny is a baby and doesn’t hesitate to just go- MY CHILD NOW
But bc Jason isn’t really in tune with his core and doesn’t even know he has one, has no fucking idea why he had the sudden desire to look after this child. Leading him to flip between “why am I doing this????” To “awww cute baby I got u it’s ok” to “if anything happens to Danny I will kill everyone in this room and then myself” than back to “why am I so attached to this kid??? Wtf???”
Danny meanwhile is aware of ghost cores, understands that his core likes this other guy but doesn’t know he had a baby core and is accidentally setting all of red hoods parental instincts into overdrive every time he so much as breaths in his detection.

hey! can you write a fic with y/n hughes x lando norris where they all are at the lake house and she takes a pregnancy tests because she's been feeling weird and it's obviously negative but luke goes to take out the trash and sees it in the garbage and tries not to freak out and thinks its positive but starts acting really weird and y/n confronts him abt it.
It was finally summer, and Lando and I had a rare week off from race weekends. We decided to head up to my brothers' lake house to spend some time with them before the hectic F1 schedule kicked in again.
Quinn, Luke, Jack, and Lando were all out on the boat while I stayed back at the house, enjoying some alone time sunbathing. As I lay there soaking up the sun, my mind began to wander. The past couple of weeks had been strange—I hadn’t been feeling well, I was more tired than usual, and I just didn’t feel like myself. I tried to convince myself it was just my period about to start, but the thought kept circling back to the “what ifs.”
Eventually, I couldn’t shake the feeling anymore. I made my way to the bathroom, closing the door behind me. My hands trembled slightly as I unwrapped the test. I knew it was probably unnecessary, but the “what-if” scenarios kept playing in my head. After a few minutes, the result was clear: negative. A wave of relief washed over me, mixed with a tiny bit of disappointment that I quickly pushed away. I wasn’t ready for that next step yet, not with my career and not with Lando’s demanding F1 schedule. I tossed the test in the trash, washed my hands, and splashed some cool water on my face. It was time to go back to enjoying the weekend.
I didn’t think about the test again. That night, I told Lando it was negative, and we just continued as usual. But over the next few days, I noticed Luke giving me weird looks. “Hey, Y/N, want to go on the boat with us?” Jack asked one day, but before I could respond, Luke answered for me, “No, she’s okay.” I looked at him, confused, but decided to brush it off.
After a few more incidents like that, I couldn’t ignore it any longer. I finally pulled Luke aside. “Luke, what’s wrong?” I asked, trying to catch his eye.
He froze, then finally looked at me, his eyes wide with what looked like panic. “Uh, nothing. Everything’s fine. Totally fine.”
“Luke, you've been acting weird and way more protective lately,” I said, my voice firmer this time. “Also, you’re a terrible liar. What’s going on?”
He hesitated, then sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I wasn’t snooping, I swear. I was just taking out the trash and... and I saw the test.”
My heart stopped for a second. “You saw the pregnancy test?” I repeated, my voice sounding a little more surprised than I intended.
Luke nodded, biting his lip. “I thought it was… positive. And I didn’t know how to—”
I couldn’t help it; I burst out laughing. The relief and absurdity of the situation hit me all at once. “Luke, it was negative!”
He blinked, looking like I’d just told him the earth was flat. “It was?”
“Yes, it was negative!” I laughed again, this time with more assurance. “I’ve just been feeling a little off, and I wanted to make sure. But I’m not pregnant, Luke. You can relax.”
He let out a long breath, his shoulders sagging in relief. “Oh, thank God. I mean, not that it would be a bad thing, but…”
“Yeah, I know,” I said, still smiling. “But it’s not happening right now.”
He finally sat down, shaking his head with a sheepish grin. “You really freaked me out, Y/N. I was trying to figure out how to talk to you about it without being a total idiot.”
“You were definitely being a total idiot,” I teased, nudging him with my shoulder.
He chuckled, the tension easing out of the air. “I guess I was.”

words: 1.1k+
warnings: angst, alcohol consumption, hospital, injury, car accident, worrying.
summary: when you fall in love with your best friend you struggle to keep your feelings at bay then Harry gets into an accident and it changes everything.
notes: hello my loves! Here is the request🫶🏼. This is like nothing I’ve ever written before so I hope you enjoy🤭💓
Tumblr media
Tonight I'm going to a club with the boys and the side girls for a night out. It was Freya's last minute idea since we haven't been with each other as a group in so long. I was slightly nervous since I knew Harry was going to be there. I've had a crush on him since last year. There wasn't a specific moment that I realised but when I found myself constantly thinking about him and his big blue eyes I knew there was a problem.
I tried to convince myself that I didn't like him but eventually I accepted that I had a crush on one of my best friends. We've grown apart the past year due to me not wanting to be within two feet of him, worried that I'll do something I'll regret.
I invited Faith round to my apartment for pre drinks. Once she arrived I poured us both a drink and turned the music on. She helped me figure out what I was going to wear then after a few finishing touches we left. When we arrived outside of the club I took a deep breath. "You alright?" Faith asked with furrowed brows. "Mhm." I hummed then hopped out of the uber.
Thankfully Harry hadn't arrived yet so I got myself a drink. When I made my way back to the table I noticed that in the five minutes I'd been gone Harry and Freezy had arrived. It felt so weird to be nervous around him, we've been friends for so long and I've always felt so... safe when I'm with him. "Hey! y/n, how've you been?" Freezy asked. I smiled politely. "Great thanks." I sat down next to Talia.
After almost an hour of avoiding Harry I left to use the toilet. "Wait!" I turned around swiftly, just as I was about to open the bathroom door. Harry stood before me. I started to panic. I've never felt so strange in my life. Why do I feel like I'm going to explode. "I just- are you ok?" He asked. I looked to the floor. "I'm fine." I replied, swiftly pushing myself into the bathroom.
I took a deep breath once the door closed. "What the fuck is wrong with me?! I need fresh air." I thought. I made my way outside after freshening up and I let the cool air wash over my body. "I can't continue like this. I need to talk to Harry." I told myself. But first I need to get a little more drunk. When I returned to the table Talia began asking me where I'd been. I told her I wasn't feeling great so went to get some fresh air. She didn't look like she fully believed me but she let it go.
Later in the night once I was extremely drunk I decided it was time to talk to Harry. I took a deep breath then walked over to the bar where he stood next to Ethan. I tapped him gently on the shoulder. "Can I talk to you?" I asked him softly. He nodded quickly. I led him outside. "Ok so-" my words slowly cut out as he stepped towards me, so close I could smell the mixture of cologne and alcohol lingering on his body. "Can I kiss you y/n?" He asked. My breath hitched. I leaned closer. "Yes. Please." I whispered. Slowly his lips touched mine and everything finally felt complete.
After that night I didn't hear a word from him. I was upset but assumed that he didn't remember since we were so drunk or that he thought it was a mistake. But I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss. It was sweet but desperate. Slow yet fast. Soft yet rough. I tried desperately to forget and move on but I just couldn't.
Almost two weeks after that night I was headed to my car after a long day at work when I got a call from Freezy. "Hello?" I answered, confused. "y/n, hi. Um- Harry's in the hospital." He told me quickly. My eyes widened. "I- what- Is he ok?!" I frantically ran towards my car. "He's ok but he's asking for you." "Me?" I stopped as I opened the car door. "Yes. Are you on your way?" He asked. "Mhm. I'll be there in ten."
When I arrived outside of the hospital I quickly parked then practically jumped out of the car. I made my way towards the reception desk and gave Harry's name. The woman nodded politely then showed me to his room. "Just in there." She said sweetly. I smiled lightly. "Thank you." She walked away and I stared nervously at the closed door. I took a long, deep breath. "He's fine. Everything's fine." I attempted to silently reassure myself. Before I could contemplate any more I pushed the door open.
Harry sat on a hospital bed with a few machines hooked up to him and a large bruise on his forehead. My mouth dropped open. "Oh my fucking god! I thought Cal said you were fine!" I rushed towards him. "I am." He reassured quietly. "You're clearly not! What the fuck happened?" "I- I was hit by a car." He looked into my eyes. A look of complete shock graced my features. "Hit by a car?!" "Uh, yeah. It was only a bump but I fell and knocked my head on the pavement. I think I passed out, it's all kind of a blur." My eyes fluttered closed. "Why am I here Harry?" I asked, eyes still shut.
It was silent for a second before he finally spoke. "Because I- I realised that if I had been really hurt today I would've regretted not telling you that... that I- I love you y/n." My eyes shot open. "You what?" My voice came out much quieter than I expected. "I love you. I've loved you for years. And I haven't stopped thinking about you since that kiss." "You remember?" "How could I not?" He pushed himself from the hospital bed. "Why- why didn't you say anything? No call, no text, nothing." I stepped back. "Because I thought you didn't remember." He replied.
I sighed, looking down at my feet. "I love you too." I whispered, barely believing that I was saying those words out loud. A tear slipped down my cheek. I wasn't sure if it was because I was nervous, stressed or happy but I didn't have time to think before I felt two strong arms wrap around my figure. I burst into floods of tears as I clung onto him. "I was so worried." I squeaked out. "I'm sorry." He whispered. I pulled away slowly with a sniffle. "I'm glad you're okay." "Me too because if I wasn't I wouldn't be able to do this." He placed his hand on the top of my back as our lips connected for the second (but definitely not last) time.

i havent 💚3
matt and i have been best friends since high school, he was always more of the shy one in our friendship. this resulted in us having two very different high school experiences, i had the very stereotypical “ideal” experience, parties, drinking, sex, all the lame school dances, football games, you name it, i probably did it. matt, however, had almost the complete opposite, unfortunately his anxiety usually got the best of him and he ended up hanging out with a few close friends (including me) and his brothers, which was still super fun but he stayed in his comfort zone. i convinced matt, with chris’ help, to come to a few parties but aside from getting high once he didn’t really participate in them. all of this to say, i was pretty experienced while matt was a sober virgin. i know that sounds harsh but it never bothered me or him as far as i knew. i obviously wanted to have fun with my best friend but it never distanced us, it was his choice and i respected it.
this brings us to now, i’m 20 and living with matt and his two triplet brothers. matt had come out of his shell a considerable amount but still never felt the need to do anything crazy.
we were sitting in our living room bored out of our minds when nick suggested we play a game. i suggested truth or dare but none of us wanted to get up so chris said we should play never have i ever. nick made fun of him for picking something so middle school but no one had any better ideas so we went with it.
it started out pretty tame, “nhie pooped my pants” “nhie cried at school” “nhie fallen down the stairs” before chris raised the stakes. “nhie kissed someone” i was confused why he asked this because we all had and we all knew that. i put my finger down, turning to matt who was red in the face and realized why chris asked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
senior year, matt was feeling really bad about not having had his first kiss before he graduated high school. he was complaining and moping so much that i finally suggested i could be his first kiss. he turned beet red and began asking me a dozen questions.
“won’t it be weird?”
“not if we don’t make it weird”
“what if i’m bad?”
“you can’t really be bad at it, plus if you were i wouldn’t care”
“are you sure about this?”
“yeah if it’ll make you stop sulking in self pity”
he rolled his eyes at me, “you’re not gonna make fun of me are you?”
i tilted my head at him, “matt, have i ever genuinely made fun of you?” he shook his head.
“just close your eyes, i’ll take the lead”
he took a deep breath before closing his eyes. i leaned over, a little nervous myself, took his face in my hands and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. he kissed back for a moment before i pulled away, him subconsciously chasing my lips. it was actually one of the nicest kisses i’ve ever had, his lips were soft and he was gentle, most guys just tried to eat my face. once we had both pulled back and opened our eyes we started giggling which turned into stomach-churning laughter. we just couldn’t help it, it was funny. we didn’t talk about it anymore after that, other than him updating his brothers on what had happened.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
chris could be a dick sometimes, giving his brothers a hard time and unfortunately, matt was an easy target. i kicked chris’ leg, giving him a stern look.
“ow! what the hell dude?”
“don’t be a dick”
we moved on, more questions about embarrassing things and a few rounds later it was chris’ turn again.
“nhie had sex” chris giggled
chris and i put a finger down, while nick and matt’s stayed up.
“did someone slip asshole pills into your pepsi?”
they all chuckled at my comment, but it wasn’t really a joke.
“i think we should quit while we’re ahead, are you guys hungry?” they all nodded. nick and chris began bickering about where we should eat while we were all getting our shoes on.
“do you wanna drive or do you want me to?” i asked matt
“i don’t care” he didn’t sound angry, more defeated
“okay, i can drive” i gave him a soft smile.
we loaded into the car, nick taking his usual spot in the back. chris tried to sit up front, he normally sat there when matt drove and sometimes when i did. i shot him a glare, him letting out a sigh and scooting in next to nick. matt took his seat in the front, sometimes he would ask for aux but he just went on his phone and said nothing. chris chimed in from the back.
“can i…?” he asked referring to the music, i nodded my head at him, seeing as i didn’t wanna pick anything and matt was occupied.
we decided on a coney island, wanting to sit down opposed to getting fast food. we got a booth, chris and nick sitting across from matt and i. matt was particularly quiet tonight and i could tell something was wrong. i noticed he was twiddling his thumbs in his lap and quickly grabbed his hand, interlacing our fingers and resting our hands on his thigh. this was normal for us, we held hands sometimes when one of us noticed the other was stressed. he looked up from his lap and gave me a small smile before slowly joining the conversation. matt seemed to be acting like his normal self again but i could tell something was still bothering him.
we finished our food and made our way back to the house, chris and nick decided to retire to bed while matt and i weren’t super tired yet. we grabbed a few snacks before heading to my room, which was on the first floor while the boys’ were on the second, mainly so we didn’t have to worry about waking up nick and chris.
we turned on adventure time and matt rested his head on my lap while we both scrolled aimlessly through our phones. after about two episodes, matt put his phone down and just stared at the ceiling.
“are you good?” i asked, concerned about his strange behavior.
“when did you lose your virginity?”
i was taken a back by his question but answered nonetheless.
“uhh summer after sophomore year i think”
he didn’t say anything.
“why do you ask?”
“do you think it’s weird i’m still a virgin?”
“no matt, not at all”
“i think it’s weird”
“do you think it’s weird that nick is a virgin?”
“no but he’s at least done stuff, all i’ve done is kissed you, no offense”
i giggled, “none taken matty, the time just hasn’t been right yet. you’ll meet a girl and hit it off, you’ll know.”
“yeah…” he trailed off, like he had more to say.
“you know you can tell or ask me anything right?”
“if you don’t want to, you can tell me to fuck off and we can forget this ever happened…” he paused for a moment “w-would you have sex with me?”
“are you sure you want to? we don’t have to do anything you don’t want”
“yes i want to, i’m sick of being a 20 year old virgin” he chuckled. i let out a few giggles too before our laughter died down.
when i looked at him now, his eyes were dark with need and desperation. i took his face in my hands and pulled him into a deep kiss. i hadn’t had a kiss like matt’s since senior year, i tried to push it out of my head but it was hard. it was like fireworks were going off inside my head when our lips touched, i had never felt that with anyone else.
the kiss got more heated, i wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled myself onto his lap, causing him to whimper at the pressure. i smiled into the kiss, his noises giving me more confidence as i ground my hips into his lap. he almost completely pulled away from the kiss as a desperate whine escaped his lips. i smiled at him before making my way to his neck, placing wet kisses along it up to his ear.
“i love the noises you make” i whispered before sucking a purple mark into his neck, more beautiful sounds leaving his lips while his hands trailed down to my ass, pulling me into him.
i came back to his face kissing him again before bringing my hands to the hem of his shirt and pulling it over his head. i then took off my shirt and bra so he wouldn’t feel so exposed. his eyes bore into my chest, his mouth hung open as if he wanted to say something.
“you gotta use your words to get what you want matty..” i teased him.
“c-can i touch you?” he asked, moving his hands up towards my boobs.
“of course you can, such a polite boy”
he blushed before placing his cold hands over my breasts, causing me to shiver. i kissed him while he played with my boobs, gaining more confidence and playing with my nipples. i let out a moan that was swallowed into the kiss before i pushed him onto the bed, leaving me on top of him.
i quickly got up off of him before taking off my leggings and moving to pull down his pants. he protested slightly, causing me to pull away before he spoke.
“can i make you feel good?”
“you will baby, i’m gonna take care of you right now tho, just relax” he let out a deep breath, giving into my instructions. i crawled up to his lap, palming him over his boxers before placing kisses up his shaft over the fabric. he began squirming under me when i decided to take his boxers off. he wasn’t huge but a decent size: proportional in length and width. i licked my lips, excited to have him inside me before taking him in my hand and licking a strip up the underside of his dick. he jumped a bit at the new feeling before letting out a loud groan from my warm tongue on his cock. i licked up the side of him before finally taking him into my mouth, sucking on the tip lightly causing him to buck his hips into me. he shot me an apologetic look while i took the rest of him in my mouth, the tip of his dick hitting the back of my throat. he gasped, all the air leaving his lungs as i began to bob up and down on him.
“holy fucking shit” he whimpered. i couldn’t help but giggle around him, the vibration causing him to buck up again. i continued sucking him, swirling my tongue around his dick until i felt him twitch in my mouth. i pulled off, followed by a loud whine of protest coming from him.
“mmm i was close” he pouted.
“don’t you wanna cum inside me?” his eyes lit up at the suggestion before nodding his head. i climbed up him, planning to ride him before he stopped me.
“um, can i do something to you?”
“you wanna finger me sweet boy?” he quickly nodded his head making me chuckle again at his eagerness. i grabbed his hand, pulling his pointer and middle finger out before taking them in my mouth, running my tongue all along them while keeping eye contact with the boy under me. i could feel his dick twitching under me, causing me to moan around his fingers. i pulled his fingers out of my mouth before moving them down to my pussy. he moved his fingers around, just getting a feeling for the area before stating “you’re so wet” i kissed him as he continued to feel me, rubbing his wet fingers on my clit making me moan into the kiss. he found his way to my entrance, pushing just at the beginning before stopping. i opened my eyes, realizing he was waiting for my consent. i nodded my head and he pushed one of his slender fingers into me, in turn pulling moans out of me. i moved to his ear. “you can put the other one in too” i whispered to him. he pushed the other in before i kissed him, pushing my tongue into his mouth and quickly dominating. he slowly got his footing, picking up his pace, my noises egging him on to repeat his actions. i felt myself nearing the edge, now grinding down onto his fingers. i pulled away from the kiss.
“fuck matty, you’re making me feel so good. please don’t stop” he said nothing but continued his motions until i fell into my orgasm, my legs shaking on his lap, still moving his fingers in and out of me. i had to grab his wrist for him to stop, not realizing he was overstimulating me.
“sorry” he murmured.
“you dont have to be sorry goof. you want me to ride you now?”
“yes please”
i spit on my hand, stroking him up and down a few times before lining him up at my entrance. i looked at him for approval, him nodding his head for me to slowly sink down. the noise he made when i pushed him into me is something i wish i could have on replay in my head for the rest of my life. like i said, he wasn’t huge but he filled me up in all the right places.
“fuck matt you feel so good”
“you’re so fucking tight holy god” i chuckled at his response, sitting there for a minute longer to let us both get used to the sensation.
“ready?” i looked to him, he nodded. i lifted myself up on my knees before sinking back down onto him. he placed his hands on my hipbones, helping guide me up and down while i bounced on his cock.
“hnng holy shit i think i’m close”
“me too baby, let go whenever you’re ready, i’ve got you” i reassured him, picking up my pace a bit, his whines getting more and more broken with every movement. before i knew it i could feel his hot cum coating my insides, sending me over the edge, fucking us both through our highs. once we both stopped twitching, i laid down on him, getting comfortable while he caught his breath.
“god i could stay here forever”
“we could sleep like this you know”
“are you sure?? is that sanitary?” i laughed at him.
“yes it’s fine matt, just go to sleep, i know you’re tired”
“as long as you’re comfortable, okay. goodnight, thank you for that”
“of course matty, goodnight” i said wrapping my arms around his neck and falling asleep with him inside me.
a/n: hi hope yall enjoyed :3 sorry the end is kinda rushed i didn’t rly know how to end it.

wrote a quick halbarry drabble to try and ease myself back into writing, thought i'd throw it up onto here. with this i can cross the "only one bed" trope off my ever shrinking list of cliches i've never done before
---
“What are you doing?”
Barry blinks in confusion, pausing in his efforts to make up the couch and turning his head in the direction of Hal’s voice. The hotel room is dark, all the lamps turned off and the drapes drawn shut, meaning he can only barely see the vague outline of Hal’s form on the bed. The one, singular bed they were given instead of the two beds Bruce had promised he’d reserved for them. Upon entering the room and realizing they’d only been given the one bed, Hal had been immediately convinced that Bruce had lied just to be an asshole, while Barry had been more inclined to believe the apologetic hotel manager when she’d told them she was so, so sorry, but there was an error in the booking system and, unfortunately, there were no more double rooms available for the night.
Having already been worn down from the day’s Justice League mission, Barry hadn’t felt much other than faint resignation regarding the bed situation. He let Hal grab a shower first, and when Hal sauntered over to the large, king-sized bed and flopped onto it face-first with a pained groan, Barry figured it was only fair to let him have the bed. After all, Hal’s bruises and sore muscles surely won’t fare well sleeping on the stiff and lumpy couch cushions, and it might make for a rough night of rest for Barry but at least his fully healed body will be able to handle it better.
“I’m… getting ready for bed?” Barry responds, glancing back down at the half-prepared couch, trying to figure out what he’d missed and coming up empty.
“Yeah, but why are you over on the couch?” Hal sounds just as confused as Barry feels. “Why don’t you just sleep in the bed?”
“Uh, because you’re already in it,” Barry points out. Shouldn’t that be obvious?
“So?” Through the darkness, Barry sees Hal prop himself onto his elbows and hears him pat the empty side of the bed. “This is literally the biggest bed I’ve ever seen. There’s more than enough room for both of us.”
It finally dawns on Barry, then, that Hal means they should both sleep in the bed. Together. Barry swallows, his mouth suddenly having gone dry.
“Oh, um, I don’t think,” Barry frowns, nervously rubbing at the back of his neck. He’s been Hal’s friend for many years at this point, but they’ve never shared the same bed before. Barry’s always been under the impression that that would be weird and in violation of some kind of friendship boundary. Not that he’s spent much time thinking about sharing a bed with Hal in the first place. Honest. “I’m fine with just taking the couch, Hal. Really, I am.”
Even in the near pitch blackness, Barry can still feel Hal’s stare boring into him.
“Barry, you’re not sleeping over on that shitty ass couch over a perfectly fine bed, that’s just stupid,” Hal says. Barry can practically hear the eye roll in his voice. Sighing exasperatingly, Hal cuts off the protest that’s currently loaded up on Barry’s tongue, “would you just come get into bed so we can both get the fuck to sleep? Seriously, Bar, this doesn’t have to be anything more than that.”
“Okay,” Barry acquiesces against his better judgment, shuffling over to the bed. He awkwardly slides under the covers, and admittedly, the mattress feels worlds better on his spine and neck than the couch. Pulling the covers up to his chin, he lies there stiff as a board, staring up at the ceiling and listening to the sounds of the city outside and Hal’s breathing.
“You can relax, man,” Hal huffs with laughter after a minute. “Don’t worry, I swear I’ll keep my hands to myself. I won’t cuddle up to you in the middle of the night or anything. I mean, not unless you want me to.”
Barry lets out a soft snort, feeling himself start to unwind and relax. It’s just Hal, he reminds himself, his best and most trusted friend Hal. There’s no reason for him to feel weird, or self-conscious about this. Really, the situation is only as awkward as they decide to make it, and clearly, Hal has already decided he’s not bothered. Maybe Barry shouldn’t be, either.
“I wouldn’t mind,” Barry blurts out without thinking. He instantly regrets saying it, his eyes growing wide and his face heating up instantly. “I—I mean, uh—”
“Yeah?” Hal questions suggestively, and Barry can imagine him quirking his brow, wearing the beginnings of a cheeky grin.
Barry lets out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding.
“Yeah,” Barry says, busying himself with playing with the edges of the blanket.
“Alright,” Hal hums thoughtfully. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
And when Barry wakes in the morning to Hal’s arm slung over him, face pressed into his shoulder, it feels just… normal. Completely and utterly normal.
Oh, Barry thinks to himself.
Oh.

Now a Pulitzer Prize winning book (don’t fact check this, just trust me) and featured on Obama’s 2023 Summer Reading List!
Tumblr media
You should be reading Nobody Ends Up Dead in a Bathtub, Everyone Keeps Their Organs! Why? See above.
It’s a good story if I do say so myself. And if you read it, you’re a cool kid. Don’t you want to be a cool kid? This is something called peer pressure, and it usually works.
But for real, if you read Nobody Ends Up Dead then you’re going to go on a good adventure with good characters I guarantee you will love. Not to brag, but it is a pretty good story. There’s funny one-liners, a cute plot, and relatable characters that have been developed for years. Just heed warnings at the beginning of chapters. NEUD deals with some heavy topics such as eating disorders.
NEUD is officially all online for free. But you can still access bonus chapters and short stories on Patreon for only $4.

Transcript under cut:
The Story is Dope
A New York office worker and a sex worker get set up on a date--one thinking it's a real blind date, the other under the impression it's an ordinary appointment. After realizing it was all a shitty prank, they set out for revenge. Their plan: show up to an upcoming Halloween office party as a genuine couple, convincing the pranksters they genuinely fell in love and refusing to let themselves become the butt of the joke.
Our main characters are Alex, an awkward admin assistant for a medical company who hasn't been on a date since he was a teenager, and Damián, a sex worker who seems way out of Alex's league but keeps insisting on spending time with him so they can perfect their revenge scheme.
The novel features a diverse cast and explores sex positivity. I also like to believe that it portrays sex work well. Damián is a hardworking man, doing what he loves, and meeting mostly great people along the way--but he also would benefit greatly if sex work was decriminalized and therefore had better resources at his disposal.
If you're looking for a story with LGBT characters that's mostly light-hearted but still packs a punch every few chapters, this is it! Overall, it's a happy story.
The Characters!
oh boy the characters!
we got Damián who's hardworking and doting on his lil bro but oh wow does he have some angst
we got Alex who is nothing more than a burning ball of anxiety trying his best--all too relatable
Leo, Damián's bro, is an ally, and he will make sure everyone knows. Also has angst.
Eve, Alex's lil sister, is an edgy teen who's failing calc and runs a queer book club
together, they're a weird lil dysfunctional family
I'll be honest. There's a lot of love in this story. From me and among the characters. The characters love each other, and I think the readers love them, too.
It touches on a lot of loneliness--inspired by how I've felt since Covid started--and a lot of the conflicting emotions that come with being gay. What happy endings do we deserve? What about happy middles?
It's a touching book about learning to be a better person and finding people who love you--platonically and romantically.
Here are some of my fave parts:
And then there was a streak of gray hair that shocked Alex. A streak of gray hair off to the side, nestled close to a salt and pepper beard. Textured hands held cocktails. Little, subtle lines creased when mouths laughed. Alex held his breath. On the packed floor, they were the only people Alex could see. They were laughing and holding each other and enjoying themselves, firmly in the place they knew they belonged. Flashes of teeth pressed against each other, disappearing for long seconds at a time.
--
“Sorry,” Alex said. “Your arm got heavy on top of me.” “You’re a little mouse of a man. I didn’t mean to crush you.” “I’m what?”
--
“A dog!” Damián cooed as he sat across from the lesbians. “His name is Yam,” Martin said.
“His name is Yam,” Damián cried. Kris and Clara released Yam and gently nudged him to Damián. Ecstatic, Damián picked him up and set him on his lap. “His name is Yam,” he repeated to Alex. “I heard.”
--
But he couldn’t deny that he was having a good time. It was like intense yoga with the perk of having a cock shoved up his ass. He was going to feel limber as fuck after.
--
“Can I do anything?” Alex asked. “To help cheer you up?”
“You don’t have to worry about me.”
“I’d like to. If you let me.”
--
“Wow this sounds great where can I read it?”

‧₊˚ ⋅♡ Pillow Talks: Hi guys! I’ve spent the last few days writing this, and I have to say I’m in love with how it turned out! I had to do my man justice (get it?) with a fic I can be proud of. Anyway, I really hope someone can find joy and comfort from this fic. As a side note, yes this fic was inspired by the song From the Start, by Laufey. The specific lines stated in the prompt is what really inspired me to write this. Regarding Neuvillette, I tried to be as lore accurate as possible here haha. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season. Stay safe out there. With much love, Pillow ‹𝟹

I tap an impatient finger against my knee as I take a slow survey of my surroundings. Everyone is patiently seated, although animated whispers reach your ears as citizens anxiously wait for the trial to begin.
I don’t know what to expect…
As the people beside me engage in idle chatter, I take a deep breath to mentally prepare myself. My friend convinced me to attend one of Fontaine’s public trails, insisting it was a rite of passage as a new citizen of Fontaine.
Unfortunately for the both of us, they came down with a cold the day before the trial.  I would’ve loved if they could accompany me, but I’m here nonetheless.
Another quick glance around the courtroom sets my nerves on end. I’m fine with huge crowds but at times they can feel suffocating. My finger tapping increases in speed as my thoughts begin to spiral.
Before my thoughts can completely spiral out of control, a loud sound catches the attention of everyone in the room.
There, sitting before everyone in a comically large chair, is the most beautiful man I’ve ever laid eyes on. Something that is no small feat in the world of Teyvat.
He has a commanding presence; there’s something about him that makes it difficult to pry my eyes away. He situates himself before the people of Fontaine, and before long the trial is well underway.
I wind up being swept up in the moment; I’m heavily invested in this case. I close my eyes for a moment, playing detective to deduce whom the culprit is.
The majority of the attending party is not as quiet as I’d prefer them to be; It’s hard to think when everyone is so rowdy.
“Oh my, did you hear that? She’s definitely guilty!” “Disgusting.” “Who? Her? I doubt it was her! Do you not see the remorse on her face? Oh, what poor soul…”
aha, that’s it!
I open my eyes with a triumphant expression. I’ve determined who the culprit is. At least, I think so. Now to wait and see.
“Order!” The man before the citizens of Fontaine slams what appears to be a cane to the ground. The room is immediately engulfed in silence.
I gaze at him in awe.
The man, who I now know is the Iudex of Fontaine, talks through his deductions before a machine generates the final verdict.
I silently cheer since I successfully determined the culprit.
Overall, I’d say this was a valuable experience. There are definitely some prominent flaws in how trials are viewed and the implemented system. Of course that was only one trial and I shouldn’t get ahead of myself, but something about the fate of another being viewed as entertainment just doesn’t sit right with me.
With my head in the clouds, I don’t pay attention to where I’m going.
Well, not until I accidentally bump into something.
A small “omph!” comes out of whatever I bumped into. That’s weird. Why would an inanimate object make a—
The sudden realization that I bumped into someone dawns on me. I’m quick to bow my head in embarrassment.
“Sorry! I wasn’t paying attention..” I hope they aren’t mad!
I blink my eyes open when I hear nothing, and I find myself face to face with a Melusine.
“It’s no problem. We can all be clumsy at times.” The Melusine smiles at me; it’s the most heartwarming smile to ever grace my eyes.
I can feel the way my heart melts as the Melusine continues to smile at me, although she tilts her head in confusion.
Oh, I haven’t responded to her yet!
“You’re right. Still, I’m so sorry for bumping into you.” A sheepish smile lifts my lips. The Melusine sighs as they shake their head in dismay.
“Oh dear. You remind me an awful lot of Monsieur Neuvillette. He tends to over apologize for things when it comes to us.” This time, I’m the one tilting my head in confusion.
“Monsieur… Neuvillette? … Did I say that right?” The Melusine nods her confirmation, although she seems a bit surprised by my confusion. Why, though? “Are you new to fontaine?” She asks. When I slowly nod my head in confirmation, her eyes sparkle with an emotion I can’t pinpoint.
“Ah, I see. Well, my name is Sedene. It is very nice to meet you.” Sedene holds out her hand for a friendly shake, and it takes everything in me not to squeal over how adorable she is.
I haven’t lived in Fontaine for long, but all of the Melusine have my heart. They are all so sweet with their own personalities, it’s hard not to have a soft spot for them! They especially helped me out with navigating the city when I first arrived, their eyes devoid of judgment or apprehension when communicating with me.
Sedene tilts her head at me once more, and it takes me a moment to realize I haven’t responded yet… again.
My face warms in embarrassment.
Why do I keep getting lost in thought today?
I smile at her as I extend my hand, and we shake. “So, what’s your name?” She asks me. “Name.” Is my response.
She considers my answer, trying the name out on her own. “Name… it sounds pretty.” Sedene’s thoughtful comment causes my smile to morph into a grin. “Not as pretty as Sedene! Still, thank you.” I bend down to my knees to be at eye level with her.
I notice her eyes widen slightly, but she doesn’t seem to take offense to my action. If anything, she seems overjoyed. “Y/N, have you met Monsieur Neuvillette yet?” I shake my head no in response to her question.
“Monsieur… Neuvillette…,” Sedene nods again to confirm I have said the name correctly as I speak, “..Who is he?”
She blinks her eyes owlishly, before she bursts into a fit of giggles.
I’m a bit taken aback, but I find myself joining in on the laughter. Once Sedene stops laughing she gestures for me to follow her. I oblige her request as she begins to skip away.
Before I know it Sedene has led me to a new area, and now I stand before a large door. Sedene politely knocks before a voice from inside calls out, “Come in.”
Huh, why does that voice sound so familiar?
My question is quickly answered once Sedene pushes the door open and I follow her inside.
Sitting before the both of us, at his desk, is none other than the beautiful Iudex of Fontaine.
Oh, Monsieur Neuvillette!
everything clicks for me, and I find myself feeling a bit overwhelmed.
I’m standing before such a prominent figure in Fontaine! With no appointment or anything! I’m sure you need to schedule an appointment to see someone like him, right?
Is there some sort of etiquette I should follow here?
I break out into a nervous sweat as Sedene introduces me.
“I hope I am not imposing on your work Monsieur, but I have someone I’d like you to meet. This is Y/N, and she is a new citizen of Fontaine.” I shyly wave and offer a smile as Monsieur Neuvillette fixes his gaze on me.
Archons, my heart is pounding!
He remains silent.
I catch sight of his curious eyes roaming my figure, before they leave me to return to Sedene.
A soft, warm expression takes over his features as he communicates with her.
It makes my heart squeeze painfully in my chest.
“You are fine, Sedene. I was just about to take a break from all of this paperwork anyway.” He speaks in a very refined manner, but his tone is more relaxed than it was in court. Obviously that’s to be expected, but still.
“Well hello Name, you can refer to me as Monsieur Neuvillette. Thank you for being good company to Sedene.” The Iudex of Fontaine now stands. He makes his way over to us.
I scramble my brain for a dignified response since the only fact in my mind is that I’ll be able to see his pretty features up close.
Oh,
He’s coming closer.
He’s standing in front of me now.
Damn, he’s even more handsome up close.
“Hmm?” He hums, prompting me for something. But what could it—?
Oh, yeah. I need to respond.
I open my mouth to thank him for his generosity, maybe even congratulate him on how smooth the trial seemed to go today.
Unfortunately, he chooses that moment to glance at Sedene, and he chuckles at whatever he sees.
Oh, my heart.
“Yeah.” Is my blunt, ineloquent response.
Oh ARCHONS why is that the only word that came out of my mouth?
He seems a bit taken aback by my lack of a response, but then he smiles.
At me.
He chuckles once more, and he lifts his hand. He moves his hand in my direction, and my entire body stiffens. His fingers grace my cheek.
My heart stops.
“You had something there. Do not worry, I have removed it.” Monsieur Neuvillette tilts his head in a polite gesture, a warm smile on his face as he retracts his hand.
I forget to feel embarrassed since I just had THE beautiful Iudex of Fontaine touch my cheek.
“Thank you..” I murmur, sounding a bit more eloquent this time.
“You are quite welcome. How long has it been since you’ve arrived in Fontaine? Do you hail from Liyue?” Neuvillette’s eyes roam my form once more as the realization dawns on me.
He’s studying my clothes, since I’m not wearing clothing native to Fontaine.
“Ah, yes. I just moved here recently. From Liyue.” When the word ‘Liyue’ leaves my lips, Neuvillette’s expression shifts for the briefest of moments.
It’s subtle, but I notice the quick frown that turns his gorgeous lips upside down, before they resume their neutral position.
“I see. Well, there are many things to enjoy in Fontaine. I hope you find Fontaine to be a suitable new home for you.” He sounds sincere, and it makes me happy.
“Thank you Monsieur.” I twiddle my fingers as my gaze leaves his face, to look around the room.
I assume this is his office.
There are shelves in the room, huge as they are, and there are two piles of paperwork on his work desk.
Sedene strikes up a conversation with Neuvillette, but I tune it out.
That is, until my name is brought up again.
“So, what do you say, Name? Does that sound like something that’s of interest to you?” I whip my head around to look at him, and his gaze is as fierce as it is intense.
Uh, what was the question?
He opens his mouth to speak, but before he can I interrupt. “Y-Yes! Sure, that sounds wonderful…” I chuckle nervously, hoping he doesn’t realize I didn’t catch his question.
He smirks at my response.
“So you don’t know what I have asked of you, yet you agree nonetheless? You are proving to be an intriguing individual Name. I shall see you here tomorrow then. Promptly in the morning, at 9, and not a moment later.” He turns then, walking back to his desk.
Yes.” Is the only response I’m capable of mustering.
Oh my.. wait, did I say my question out loud earlier?
I watch as he sits down at his desk once more, that same smirk on his lips as he returns to work.
“Thank you for introducing us, Sedene. I shall see you tomorrow.” Sedene happily waves goodbye to Monsieur Neuvillette, and I hastily follow suit.
We leave Monsieur Neuvillette to his work, and Sedene happily bids me farewell outside of his door. “It seems you’ve intrigued Monsieur Neuvillette. That is not an easy feat (Name). I shall see you here tomorrow. At 9 o'clock okay? Don’t be late.” Sedene moves in to give me a hug, and I quickly bend down to return it.
As I leave the Court of Fontaine, I’m in a daze.
What did I just get myself into?
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
It’s 8:50. I am most definitely not running late to my surprise meeting with the chief justice of Fontaine.
On the contrary, I’ve arrived early!
Too bad my sense of direction isn’t serving me well..
“Um, excuse me? Do you know where I can find Monsieur Neuvillette’s office?” I kindly ask a Melusine I stumble upon.
They generously agree, and soon I’m led to the same door I stood before the previous day.
I check the time. It’s 8:57 now. How fortunate.
“Thank you so much!” I gratefully give my thanks to the Melusine before me. I bend down to give her a hug, and she accepts. “No worries. Thank you, (Name). It’s been a long time since Monsieur Neuvillette allowed himself to be involved with another person.” Oh?
Before I can ask the Melusine to elaborate, the door to Neuvillette’s office suddenly opens.
I look up, and he stands tall and proud above us. He awkwardly coughs into his fist as he glances at us. “Name. I’m glad you could make it.”
I take that as my Que to rise and properly stand in front of him. I discreetly wave goodbye to the Melusine as she skips away. When I turn back to face Neuvillette, he has a glint in his eyes.
I can only hope to decipher what it means.
He moves to stand beside me outside of his office, closing the door firmly behind him.
“Now, are you ready to begin?” I feel a sudden burst of energy surge through me, jumping up in excitement. “Yes! I’ll admit, I have no idea what we’re doing and I usually don’t wake up this early, but I’m ready!”
My words clearly take him by surprise, as his whole body stiffens and his gorgeous eyes widen.
“My… you sure are full of surprises.” He sounds smug about it for whatever reason, but I take it as a compliment.
“Sedene had asked me to show you around Fontaine, since you are new to this nation. Normally, this is not an activity someone of my.. position.. would partake in with a citizen. So count yourself lucky, as it was Sedene who requested it.” I eagerly nod my head in approval, and a shy “thank you,” leaves my lips.
He only nods, noticeably turning his head to look elsewhere.
He was struggling to contain his smile.
“Let us be on our way then. There is much to show you, while the day is still young.” So with that, Monsieur Neuvillette guides me out of the Palais Mermonia, which he later explains is the name of the building his office is located in, to show me the sights of Fontaine.
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
Neuvillette proves to be a wonderful tour guide, though I didn’t expect any less from him. He points out famous shops that the citizens rave about, making a point to mention Chioriya Boutique, run by a famous fashion designer from Inazuma. My eyes sparkle as I catch glimpses of the clothes, but Neuvillette is quick to continue our tour.
I can’t help but pout as we continue on. My eyes struggle to leave a particular piece that has caught my eye. Little did I know, Neuvillette was all too aware.
As we continue our impromptu tour, we run into many people who are familiar with Neuvillette. Each and every one of them express genuine surprise at seeing him out and about, especially with someone they’ve never seen before.
A famous magician, Lyney, performs a magic trick for us as his assistant Lynette silently stands beside him. I politely applaud, enjoying the cool trick he managed to pull off.
Halfway through the tour Neuvillette stops me. He pointedly looks towards a building a few feet ahead of us. My confusion morphs into one of delight as a girl runs out from behind it, quickly swarming Neuvillette as she asks for an interview for what apparently is the third time that week.
Later on, nearing the end of the tour, we run into a tall, beautiful lady. Neuvillette introduces her as the Champion Duelist, Clorinde. To say I'm starstruck is an understatement. She seems a bit stoic, but a subtle smile remained on her lips as she questioned what Neuvillette was doing with a citizen of Fontaine.
I giggle as he slowly becomes more flustered with Clorinde’s obvious teasing, briskly walking off as he bids her a quick farewell soon after. She smirks, turning her gaze to me. I smile at her, and she nods politely before she continues on her way.
Our tour ends with a chance meeting, with none other than the Archon herself.
Well, if the whispers you heard are true, then former Archon… ish? I don’t know the whole story, and it honestly sounds complicated. I don’t particularly care to know the details, as I give Furina a friendly wave of the hand. She stops to greet the two of us. She almost looks like she wants to ask Neuvillette what everyone has already, but she refrains from doing so, quickly entering her house with what appeared to be boxes of macaroni in her arms.
I think it’s better not to ask.
With that, my tour of Fontaine with Neuvillette concludes. The two of us return to our starting position, back to the Palais Mermonia. Neuvillette’s expression is hard to read as the two of you stand in front of his office door. “Thank you so much for doing this for me. Or, well, I’m not sure if it was entirely for me but either way I appreciate it! I got to meet a lot of cool people, although some of them made me nervous with how cool they seem…” You chuckle as you express your thanks.
“No need to thank me. I actually enjoyed myself quite a bit.” You both send a smile in the other’s direction, before an awkward silence ensues.
Luckily, you believe you’re good at handling these. “Um.. so, until we see each other again?” You extend your hand for a shake. He looks taken aback for a moment before he reaches out towards you, shaking your hand.
“Until we meet again, Name. Truly, you are a lovely individual.” He politely nods, smiling at you before he turns, entering his office.
His back is turned as the door shuts behind him.
Thank goodness.
You quickly place your hand over your heart, as the organ beneath your chest pounds violently against your ribcage.
Archons, how did you manage to walk beside him all day long? He’s genuinely an intriguing individual, and you enjoyed the various expressions he made. From a look of exasperation with the young reporter Charlotte, to looks of endearment as some Melusine waved to him when they spotted him, to an adorable look of embarrassment as Clorinde took it upon herself to extensively question his motives.
A soft look paints your features. Your cheeks, along with your heart, feels so warm.
You take your time leaving the Palais Mermonia.
Your only wish is that you’re able to meet Monsieur Neuvillette once more, even if your wish is quite far-fetched and impractical.
Who knew a rainy day would be the thing to grant your wish?
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
A heavy sigh leaves my lips as I hold my umbrella above my head. This rainy weather is quite fitting for today; after that trial I just witnessed, anyone would be sad.
I roll my shoulders as I attempt to work out the kink in my neck. I stayed behind as the other citizens slowly filed out of the courtroom. The verdict weighs heavy on my chest. It was a tough case to watch, and it pained me to see the grief stricken look that crossed Neuvillette’s features as he announced the defendant guilty.
I sat alone in the vast courtroom to give myself time to absorb everything that occurred. It almost felt like too much, but then again, I’ve always been one to put myself in others shoes even when it doesn’t directly affect me.
I shiver; it’s getting quite cold with this heavy downpour.
My gaze shifts to the sky. Although the circumstances were not ideal, I can’t help but feel a sense of peace wash over me as the rain splatters to the ground. A raindrop drips down from my colorful umbrella, splashing to the ground before my feet.
I’ve always loved the rain. Sometimes it can be a bit of a nuisance, but even so, there was something so beautiful about it. I adore all kinds of weather, but rainy weather has always held a special place in my heart. It calms me enough to sleep during late nights; it makes what would’ve been an ordinary night cozier and a bit special.
Nothing soothes me more than the gentle, or rough, splatter of raindrops against my window.
My  thoughts drift back to the present as my eyes come into focus. Whoops, I was daydreaming again.
I glance around, hoping no one spotted me zoned out, when my eyes connect with a familiar pair of dark blue-purple slit eyes. Said eyes widen, before they visibility soften. He takes long strides towards me, and my heart flips in my chest.
‘Act cool, Name. Act cool,’ My thoughts warn me.
“It’s lovely to see you again, Neuvillette.” I cringe at my choice of words, internally berating myself for sounding cheesy.
“It is lovely to see you again as well, Miss Y/N.” Neuvillette smiles courteously in my direction, before his gaze shifts towards the sky. “Ah, my apologies. This heavy rain must be quite an inconvenience for you.” I glance at him, with what I’m sure is confusion on my features. Why is he apologizing for the rain?
It’s not like he’s the one causing it.
“No need to apologize for something that isn’t your fault Monsieur.” I’m not sure if I’m imagining the way his body winces.
“No, no… ahem–” He awkwardly coughs into his fist, cheeks warm as he looks elsewhere.
Huh. How odd.
I shake my head to get myself back on topic.
“Monsieur Neuvillette, do you have an umbrella?” My question draws his gaze in my direction. I suck in a sharp intake of breath at the intensity within his gaze.
“No, but do not worry about me. I’ll be fine.” He dismisses my concerns, stepping forward to walk in the rain. “It was nice seeing you again–” He pauses, glancing at his side. There I stand beside him, stubbornly holding the umbrella over his head.
He sighs.
“Y/n, I was honest when I said–” “I don’t care. I mean–” I catch myself, reminding myself Neuvillette is a respectable man that I can’t talk carelessly with as if he were a friend. “I mean… I understand. Still, please let me walk with you. I may be imagining it, but you do not seem well. I imagine a trial like that would make anyone feel ill. Not to mention you were the one presiding over the whole ordeal…” I’m a bit nervous that I’m overstepping my boundaries, but I figure it’s worth a shot.
Monsieur Neuvillette looks startled as he stares at me. I shift my weight from foot to foot, feeling awkward once more.
He suddenly looks away. Silence continues our conversation; with a gentle grasp of his hand, he removes the umbrella from my hand to hold it above the both of us.
“Please, let me repay your kindness.” I nod, following him as we walk side by side through the torrential onslaught of rain.
It isn’t long before we enter what appears to be an indoor cafe, ducking inside. Neuvillette closes my umbrella before he hands it back to me. I whisper my thanks, following closely behind as we find empty seats.
“Is there anything you’d like to try?” Neuvillette gestures to the menu in front of me. I feel bad, but I can’t resist looking over the menu. Scanning the various sweet items, my mouth begins to water. “This looks so good! Oh, but this does too. Hmm, maybe I want to try this…” I talk to myself, temporarily forgetting that Neuvillette is sitting in front of me. A sudden burst of laughter startles me, and I quickly place the menu down as I watch Neuvillette.
His eyes are crinkled, his hand running through his hair as he laughs unexpectedly.
Stop it, heart.
He quickly composes himself, chuckling to myself. “You certainly seem eager. Please, order what you want. It’s on me.” I open my mouth immediately to protest, but he speaks before I can utter a single objection.
“The only thing I want to hear from those lips is what you want to order.”
Archons.
This man will be the death of me.
So, I oblige, telling Neuvillette my order before he promptly stands to leave, ruffling my hair as he passes.
My face burns.
There’s simply no way he said that to me. No way. Nada. Zlitch.
Except…
I know what I heard.
Augghhhh.
I roughly put my head in my hands as I will my heart to calm down. You barely know the man, he didn’t mean it like that… yet..
I’m in trouble.
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
Neuvillette returns with my requested order, and I know my eyes must shine with horribly contained excitement. “Do not wait for me, go ahead and…” He struggles to contain his laughter when I don’t even wait for him to finish speaking, happily devouring the treat before me.
He returns a minute later with my requested drink, just to see an empty plate. He really struggles not to chuckle. “Don’t laugh. I see it on your face, mister.” I warn. “Whatever do you mean, Miss Y/n? I would never laugh at a lady enjoying a sweet treat.” His tone is smug, accompanied by a grin. He places my drink in front of me before he sits in front of me once more. I pout at his obvious teasing, but decide to let it slide.
“Say, where’d you get the fancy glass? What’s in it?” I’m curious, leaning a bit closer in hopes of catching a glimpse at the context.
“Ah, this? It is simply water, my drink of choice.” He looks all too elegant as he swirls the glass in his hand before he takes a long sip.
Your eyes are glued to his person.
I should feel embarrassed at my shameless staring, really, but the sight before me is too beautiful to pass up.
The moment his eyes begin to open once he’s finished savoring the taste, I avert my eyes so fast it’s comical.
Unbeknownst to you, he witnessed the whole thing.
He won’t out you though, you’ve treated him with kindness by sharing your umbrella and he can only tease you so much.
“Anyway, are you feeling better?” I ask. He looks confused for a moment as I take a sip of my drink. You can see the moment it clicks for him, his eyes visibly widening in recognition.
“Oh… yes… I.. am…” He seems completely taken aback by that revelation; it’s all too cute. “I’m glad. I know it mustn’t be easy presiding over cases, but you really do such an important job. I’m sure many are grateful that of all the people in Teyvat, it’s you whose the Iudex of Fontaine.” My words are sincere as I relay my honest feelings to him, closing my eyes as I take another delightful sip of the coffee I ordered.
This taste is absolutely divine. I haven’t had coffee that tastes this good in so long.
I keep my eyes closed as I savor the taste, slowly opening them.
Just to find Neuvillette staring intently at my features.
To be fair, I did the same thing to him moments before, but gosh this feels embarrassing. I hope I wasn’t making a weird face!
I quickly avert my eyes, looking down at the table as I struggle to contain my smile, surely making an utterly goofy expression.
I hear Nevuillette’s gentle laugh.
I slowly look up to see such a delicate look on his face; archons, I’ve always wanted to be on the receiving end of a gaze like this. Now that I am, I feel all too overwhelmed, yet simultaneously all too.. Elated.
I giggle; it bursts out of me like a spoiler to a movie bursts from the lips of another. Neuvillette catches himself, coughing awkwardly into his fist, a habit I’ve realized he has, before he looks down at the table.
Now, we both look silly huh?
I smile to myself.
I’m glad I was able to help him relax…
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
We step outside once more. I’m prepared to share my umbrella with him, whether he wants to or not!
Thankfully, that isn’t needed. We both look to the now clear skies, as the stars twinkle above. It seems particularly easy to spot them tonight, not a cloud or raindrop in sight.
I cheer.
“Look, Neuvillet- Monsieur! It’s stopped raining!” I excitedly point to the dreamscape of a sky, before I turn to face Neuvillette.
I falter at the fragility of his gaze; he’s as still as a marble statue carved to perfection, his fixed expression conveying a tempest of emotion as he longingly looks to the sky.
“It’s over…” The words are murmured under his breath. My own leaves in quiet gasp, completely rooting me to the spot as his pulchritudinous expression holds me captive.
A few moments of silence pass between the two of us, both of us admiring different things, yet they are entirely the same at the root. He slowly lowers his gaze to return to mine once more, and they hold me at his every beck and call, as they always seem to do.
“Ah.. my apologies. I was lost in thought.” He smiles, turning his body to face me. “I appreciate the time we spent together today. I hope to see you again soon, Y/n.” His words cause my heart to flutter with an undeniable yearning that shouldn’t be there.
Yet, my heart longs for the man standing before me, it performs somersaults in my chest  as he moves, ready to part ways.
“By the way, you can refer to me as Neuvillette.” His statement is simple, yet it holds so much weight.
He nods in lieu of saying farewell, his steps echo throughout the quiet streets of Fontaine as he makes his way to his destination.
I can only clutch my chest as I watch him leave, embedded to the spot long after his figure disappears from my line of sight.
Oh, Archons.
What have I gotten myself into?
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
My eyes unconsciously wander to the door once more, waiting for a hand to pry it open from the inside.
I hear giggles beside me, and I can only groan as I get caught red-handed in the act for the fifth time this evening.
“Name, Monsieur Neuvillette’s meeting should be ending soon.” A sweet Melusine whispers into my ear. I can only muster a meek nod, returning my attention back to the task at hand.
I’m waiting with a few Melusine, Sedene among us, as Neuvillette finishes his very important meeting.
I wandered into the Palais Mermonia of my own volition, just to find out that Neuvillette is occupied in a meeting. I planned on leaving after I heard the news, but a few Melusine nearby seemed to recognize me and asked me to sit with them.
Lo and behold, I’m here learning how to weave a flower crown with fellow Melusine as we wait outside of Neuvillette’s office.
“You’re doing great Name. Is this really your first time weaving a flower crown?” Sedene’s curious question boosts my confidence. “Yes, it is! I’m glad I’m doing so well that you felt the need to ask that.” Sedene happily nods beside me, before she skips away to tend to something.
I concentrate on weaving the final piece; my trembling fingers complete the flower crown.
The group of us let out a collective cheer, before we quickly quiet down when Sedene scolds us. We are just right outside Nevuillette’s office after all.
“It looks so pretty! Look at the one I weaved.” A Melusine holds her flower crown up for me to see. It’s much more intricate than mine, but I only feel a swell of pride as I give her my honest praise.
Suddenly, we hear voices from behind the door. My leg starts to bounce as my eyes remain fixated on the door, waiting for the moment it’ll open.
I don’t have to wait long, mere moments later the door opens slowly, and Neuvillette’s guest is escorted out of the room. They wave to him, a short blonde with a floaty… thingy. Is that a toy or a person?
I almost want to rub my eyes to make sure I’m seeing things correctly, but I figure it’s best not to question it. I often encounter many creatures and people I wouldn’t expect, but they’re usually a delight in their own unique way.
The blonde traveler and their companion spot all of us sitting together. They seem like they want to come over. They place one foot in front of them before the small floating child beside them interrupts, loudly proclaiming “Paimon is hungry! We’ve gone way too long without food!” The blonde traveler stops and simply smiles, waving in our direction. All of the Melusines wave back in friendly greeting. Well, if they’re friends with Melusines then I see no reason to be cautious. I join the rest of my companions in waving. The blonde traveler winds up chasing the floating thing as they dash towards the exit.
Huh. What an.. Interesting encounter.
My thoughts are interrupted when the person I’ve wanted to see most finally emerges from his office. I feel my jaw go slack as I stare in his direction.
He has yet to notice me, so I take the opportunity to admire him. My eyes trace over his form, going painstakingly slow as they admire his length waist white hair. They settle on the adorable ribbon holding his hair in place. I tilt my head, noticing the almost horn like accessories adorning his head. I wonder what that really is? It suits him, but I wonder if..
All my thoughts come to a halt when he finally turns, and his bewitching orbs hold mine hostage.
I couldn’t look away even if I willed it; nothing regarding his appearance has changed, but it’s almost as if.. The scenery, the world around me has grown more vibrant in color.
The pounding in my chest feels surreal as he smiles at us. He takes slow and deliberate steps in our direction, curiously eyeing the flower crowns in our hands.
“Name, you may want to close your mouth.” Someone whispers in my ear.
I immediately close it, feeling all too embarrassed.
Uh..
It’s not use. I can’t formulate a single thought.
I dumbly watch as Neuvillette finally reaches us, engaging in pleasant conversation with the girls around me. I pointedly look down, fiddling with the crown in my hands. What if he scolds me for being here, and distracting the Melusine from their duties? I’d hate for them to get in trouble because of me, or to be on the receiving end of Neuvillette’s disappointed gaze.
“Name. What has your mind so occupied that you didn’t notice me sitting down beside you?” Saying I jump in my seat is an understatement.
I’m startled, jerking before I turn to gaze into those mesmerizing orbs once more. I giggle awkwardly before I raise the flower crown in my hands. His gaze finally leaves mine, looking at the object in my hands.
I’m relieved he’s finally stopped looking at me, but I can’t help but feel a bit sad as well.
What is wrong with me!?
I close my eyes and take a grounding deep breath in.
When they open once more, I feel much more composed. “Neuvillette, these girls showed me how to make a flower crown.” I hear words of agreement as the Melusine all speak up at once. “Yes, and Name has done a wonderful job.” “She’s great company, Monsieur.” “Monsieur, do you want to join us?” “Why don’t you try hers on Monsieur Neuvillette?” Neuvillette laughs, holding up his hand with the onslaught of comments.
“Ah, I see. I’m glad to hear it. I know firsthand how lovely her company is. I’d be delighted to join you all. I do not mind trying Name’s flower crown, as long as she is okay with it.” You gawk at Neuvillette’s smooth response to every comment previously directed at him. You assume it’s a skill he must’ve picked up being the Iudex of Fontaine, being able to take in information from multiple sources at a time.
“Um.. yeah, I’d love it if you could try mine on. Sorry if it isn’t as pretty...” A shy smile lifts my lips before I gesture for him to lower his head. He dismisses my concern with a simple, “Nonsense,” before he’s lowering his head for me.
I easily place the delicate crown upon his head, admiring his well kept hair up close.
My eyes find the horn like accessories once more.
I shouldn’t.
I really shouldn’t.
Yet I do.
My hand has a mind of its own, reaching out before they gently caress the blue accessories on his head.
I hear him suck in a sharp intake of breath as the Melusines around us gasps in dramatic surprise.
He doesn’t say anything for a moment, actually allowing me to continue.
I’m not going to waste this opportunity. I selfishly lift both of my hands, caressing each appendage as I feel the smoothness beneath my fingertips. My hands glide up and down; it isn’t long before they reach the base of the appendages. There’s no way this is an accessory, they don’t feel like one. Are these actual horns? Hm, if they are then surely he’ll feel it if I…
A careful squeeze of the bases has him jumping, jerking away from my touch. I immediately start to apologize, but stop myself when I catch sight of his face. His entire face is redder than the shiniest apple in Mondstadt, his eyes looking every which way as he clearly tries to compose himself.
For whatever reason his breathing is a bit ragged and he groans, hiding his head in his hands.
I’ve never seen Neuvillette look so flustered before; this sight is a treat for my eyes, and I’m enjoying every last second of it.
I can’t resist the small coo that leaves my lips.
He groans again.
“N-Name, thank you for the beautiful flower crown. I’ll keep it in my office. Please, excuse me.” He quickly stands, speed walking to his office before the door slams behind him.
You’re a bit bewildered now. And a bit confused.
If those are actual horns on his head, then is Neuvillette really a human? I mean, he could be a hybrid of some sorts maybe. I’ve seen those around when I traveled to different nations, looking for a new home to settle down in.
I feel a bit bad for touching his horns like that without his permission. My worried eyes turn to ask the Melusine if I upset Neuvillette, only to see them all crowded around me, eyes wide and full of awe.
“Monsieur Neuvillette let you touch his horns Name!” “How unexpected.” “Oh my gosh you two are so cute!” “The other girls were telling the truth!” They all chatter excitedly amongst themselves, giddy and barely able to contain their enthusiasm. They quickly bid me farewell when the door to Neuvillette’s office opens once more, giving me quick hugs and pats on the back before they scatter.
One even wishes me luck.
What do I need luck for? I’m not entirely sure, but I’m definitely taking it.
Neuvillette appears more composed when he sits down beside me, the flower crown still on his head. “I thought you were going to put the flower crown in your office?” I ask. He seems confused for a moment, before realization reaches his eyes.
“Ah, yes. I did say that. I decided your hard work deserves to be appreciated, so I will wear it until the day comes to an end.” His words elicit a broad grin to appear on my lips, and his eyes noticeably take in the sight.
A smile presents itself on his lips as we spend the next few hours just chatting amongst ourselves.
I’ve learned that Neuvillette can be quite humorous, given the opportunity. I’ve realized a lot of things about him from our interactions. Like how he prefers to keep distance between himself and the citizens of Fontaine, since it is possible one day they may end up on trial. It makes this relationship we’ve formed a bit unusual, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t make me happy.
He also loves water. He wound up telling me how water tastes different from each region, and the feelings they evoke in him when he indulges in their pristine taste.
Oh, and the warmth he displays towards Melusines is just another thing that I love about him, he can be so–
Wait..
My entire body goes rigid as warmth engulfs every crevice and limb, my body burns like the hottest of waters against human skin.
Well, my feelings are quite obvious, but to admit it so easily to myself would mean…
Neuvillette stops speaking, eyeing me curiously as I internally berate myself for developing such feelings. I truly don’t know what to make of it, so I simply grip my clothes in my hands, pushing my feelings aside.
Neuvillette seems like he wants to say something, but decided against it. His eyes glance at my balled up fists, and his eyes swirl with an emotion I fail to pinpoint.
“I see you’re still wearing clothes from Liyue. This is not a complaint, just a mere observation.” Ah. I look down at my clothes.
He’s right, maybe it’s time I get something that’ll blend in more. I mean, I see people around Fontaine wearing clothes from Inazuma, Liyue, and Mondstadt even, so there really is no need for me to buy new clothes. I feel comfortable enough to walk around in the clothes I used to wear around Liyue. Still, I have to admit I love Fontaine’s style when it comes to clothes. Maybe I’ll get something new, just to see how I feel in it.
Neuvillette slowly stands. My eyes follow his movements, and they take note of his offered hand. “Come, there is somewhere I wish to take you.” You don’t need to think twice; you happily take his hand, and he helps you stand.
You dutifully follow Neuvillette, choosing to not read into the fact he has yet to let go of your hand.
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
I admit, I’m shocked.
Neuvillette escorted me to Chioriya Boutique, and in mere moments one of the staff took my measurements as requested by the Chief Justice.
The bewilderment on their faces caused a snicker to slip from my lips before I stopped myself.
People’s reactions to Neuvillette are always so varied and dynamic, it’s very entertaining to see yet equally intriguing.
Neuvillette bombards me with questions regarding my fashion choices before he relays this information to the staff. I wait, expecting something more to happen, but alas he ushers me away from the boutique.
I sigh, pinching my nose. I really hope he’s not trying to get me anything. I’d love to pick something out for myself, but he wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise! I couldn't resist his earnest gaze, so I wound up waiting to the side as he requested.
I look up when the sound of footsteps reach my ears. He approaches me, a satisfied pull of his lips sends my heart into overdrive.
“I have taken care of business here. Now, perhaps we could take a walk by a riverbank ro somewhere similarly fluvial.” He extends his hand to me once more. I’m baffled to say the least. I consider protesting, opening my mouth to insist he does not need to get anything for me, but his hard glare is warning enough.
My mouth closes unceremoniously, and I quietly take his hand. He’s radiant now, humming as he walks closely by my side.
I look to the sky, the blue hues have long since shifted to beautiful pinks and purples.
Oh, Neuvillette.
You are none the wiser of the effect you have on me…
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
I wait outside the Opera Epiclese as a strong downpour of rain threatens to drown the poor souls who don’t have an umbrella.
I didn’t witness the trial today, but it’s become a habit to walk with Neuvillette after his trials. He was conflicted about this habit when it first began, but now I notice the undesigned glint in his eye whenever he catches sight of me after a trial.
So, it’s turned into a regular part of our daily routine.
Unfortunately it seems the trial wasn’t an easy one today; as people file out of the courthouse, sullen faces are many a dozen.
My heart squeezes painfully in my chest; if the citizens' faces look so solemn, then I can only imagine…
Minutes pass, long after the last person left the opera house. I start to second guess if he’s even here anymore. Maybe he left so I wouldn’t have to see him? Fortunately, he chooses that moment to emerge from the Opera house.
My eyes light up, excited to finally see him… but..
Oh..
poor Neuvillette…
I bite my lip when his calm, neutral expression catches my eye. Neuvillette isn’t one to openly express his thoughts and feelings through expression, but I know it must’ve been particularly harrowing if he can’t even muster a frown.
He looks up, and his impassive gaze locks with mine. He feigns a smile as he approaches me. My hand grips the handle of the umbrella; my heart aches for him.
“Thank you for waiting for me, Name. I apologize for taking so long, shall we pro-” Something about his eyes, devoid of spirit, arrests me. His rigid movements evokes a dreadful throb in my chest.
I drop the umbrella I’m holding, opting to rest my hands on his cheeks. He’s a bit startled by my actions, lifting his hands to rest on top of my trembling one’s. He sighs deeply, closing his eyes.
He leans into my touch.
Silence ensues.
The cold nibs at my skin. It threatens to seep into me through the fabric of my clothes, but I couldn’t care less when the man before me is clearly hurting.
A moment passes before Neuvillette clears his throat. I already know he’s going to try and brush this off, like he normally tends to do.
“Name, while I appreciate your concern, I don’t–” “Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, don’t cry.” The rest of his words die in his throat. He’s silent, but I can see the effect the words had on him; his eyes squeeze so tightly it looks borderline painful.
“Name.. where did you hear..?” Oh. He wants to know where I learned about this.
“Do you remember that blonde traveler you had a meeting with that day? And the floating child thing, wait, I think they said their name was Paimon..” You think out loud, satisfied when Neuvillette stiffly nods in confirmation.
“Well, they were one of the attendees of today’s trial. They stopped to chat with me when they saw me waiting here for you. They told me when I see you and it’s still raining, if I say ‘Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, Don’t cry,’ it’ll cheer you up.” My explanation doesn’t seem to surprise him. He only sighs.
It takes him a moment before he slowly opens his eyes.
“I… see. Well.. They were correct. I’ll have to thank them during our next encounter.” I smile brightly at him, and in response his gaze seems to soften. I look out to the sky; the rain has considerably lessened its intensity. Droplets still hit the ground, but it’s an improvement from the earlier downpour.
“I do have to wonder though, why does an old children’s song speaking of the hydro dragon have such an effect on you, Neuvillette?” He raises an eyebrow, something I didn’t know he was capable of.
I giggle as he informs me, “It’s not that the song has an effect on me per se, but…” “Hmmm?” I prompt him with a  gentle smile on my lips. He looks elsewhere. “It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me, hydro dragon.”
The way he whisks his head, still resting in the palm of my hands, to gawk at me confirms my underlying suspicions. Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions, but if I’m really not.. Then maybe..
I release Neuvillette’s face in favor of wrapping him in a warm embrace. He emits a choked sound from deep in his throat when I start to stroke his back, repeating the rhyme once more.
Neuvillette’s sigh sounds equally exhausted as it does exasperated. “Whoever created that rhyme must have believed the Hydro Dragon was akin to a bleeding heart. It could  not have been known if the Hydro Dragon would grieve for humans…” You ponder the meaning of his words for a few moments, before you respond with your own thoughts.
“While that may be true, it’s something only the Hydro Dragon knows the answer to. Whether he sympathizes with us silly humans…” I pull back to look at him. I’m really praying the love I feel stirring in my heart isn’t obvious on my face.
His eyes widen a fraction. He appears completely taken aback. I listen for the sound of the rain, and when I don’t hear it I look back to the sky. The rain has stopped now.
A droplet drips down from the building above, landing on my nose.
Neuvillette’s body shakes, and I return my gaze to him.
He pulls me close as laughter racks his body. This is the first time I’ve ever heard him laugh so brazenly; I’d be a fool not to join in.
It takes a long time for our laughter to die down, but once it does Neuvillette speaks. His words, “The people of Fontaine are innocent. Through the time I have spent by your side, it was easy to determine that you share a similar verdict, Name.”
I avoid gazing into his eyes for the duration of our conversation, lest he notice my fairly obvious lovestruck gaze.

⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
He takes a step closer, and I take a step back.
My heartbeat is loud in my ears; roaring louder than an obnoxious car engine as it speeds down the highway.
He mimics every move I make; for every step back I take, he takes a step forward. This continues until I’m left with nowhere to retreat, back pressed firmly against the wall behind me.
He takes his time approaching me as my eyes anxiously dart every which way. His office looks the same as I remember it, except…
My mind registers the flower crown on his desk, beside the pile of paperwork that he just finished.
He kept it?
My thoughts are brought back to him when he’s standing before me, blocking my view of everything else that isn’t him. “Name, could you please repeat what you just said?” I swallow the lump in my throat. He sounds angry. Livid, even. All I did was make a joke about myself..
“I said that, uh, I’m sorry for ruining your image. Being seen with me must not be a good look for you, being the Iudex of Fontaine, and then I said my feelings for you were stupid–” He doesn’t let me finish, slamming his hands on either side of my head.
SLAM!
I jump.
I feel small between his arms and his imposing figure in front of me. It’s difficult, but I manage to maintain eye contact with him. The emotion in his eyes reflects a raging tsunami, oppressive with a dangerous glint that’d make anyone feel weak in the knees. My knees feel especially weak right now, being caged in like this.
“The words you speak reek of lies. It’s a fabrication your mind has created to protect yourself.” His words are true and pierce through the walls I’ve been trying to maintain around my heart. “I don’t understand…” I whisper.
another lie.
“What is it that you don’t understand?” His voice is low, and the words sound like a growl leaving his lips. “I.. don’t understand why someone- a being- like you, or how, you could possibly.. Return the feelings I harbor for you. You’re the Hydro Dragon after all, are you not? A respectable, prominent figure at that, whose company brings me pleasure and shines a light on my mundane everyday life. So, why, how is it possible that you… you said you…” I struggle to finish my statement, but he waits for me patiently.
“...You said you feel the same, but I don’t understand how you possibly…” He clicks his tongue, clearly aggravated. I don’t believe he’s aggravated with me, rather more, with what I have said.
He closes his eyes. It’s almost as if I can see the gears turning in his head; he’s figuring out what he wants to say in response to my absurd claim, as he previously called it..
His eyes slowly open, and ardent determination is evident within his burning iris’. His next words stun me into complete silence, absolutely enraptured with the overflowing emotion seeping from his words.
“Honestly Name, I’m trying to comprehend how you haven’t determined this for yourself, but it is alright. I will make things clear for you now, Celestia and the Heavenly Principles be damned; I yearn for you like a traveler yearns for a haven, a place of respite for their weary soul. My heart aches to feel the weight of your hand in mine. It longs to memorize every ridge of your palm, admire every dip and curve of your body, outline any and every beautiful scar that embellishes your natural beauty. So I’ll be damned if I allow you to stand before me belittling yourself when we are both aware that your words hold no significance; the truth of the matter lies in the longing gaze you’re giving me now. It lies in the quick withdrawal of your hand whenever mine ‘accidentally’ brushes against yours. It lies in precious tears upon your lashes, as you try to conceal your feelings for me. It…” His powerful words lose momentum as said tears escape the confines of my lashes, painting the planes of my face as they drip down at a leisurely pace.
He lifts a gloved hand to wipe them away, before he pulls it back in a moment of uncertainty. I watch, beguiled, as he removes his gloves before reaching for my cheek, thumb tenderly caressing my tear stained cheeks.
A strangled sob threatens to escape my lips, so he leans in, unhurried and deliberate with every movement he makes.
His lips brush against my own, yet they hover mere millimeters from pressing firmly against my keen lips. “May I?” His question is simple in nature, yet the implications of his words hold so much weight it threatens to suffocate you. It’s all you’ve wanted, truly, yet you find yourself in a daze.
He waits. Patiently.
I close my eyes and breathe, and he breathes with me.
So when I open my eyes once more, my answer is resolute, unyielding, in its truthfulness and authenticity.
“Yes.”
I can feel his breathing speed up, as little puffs of air tickle my face. His hands feel softer than I’d imagined, as they rest upon my cheeks.
His tentative lips eradicate the irksome space that previously separated us. I smile into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. It doesn’t take long for the both of us to feel comfortable. Our lips part, only to seek the warmth of the other’s once more. This time, it’s Neuvillette who smiles as we kiss.
His lips eagerly taste mine as we explore each other. His hands move from my face to brush against my sides, stopping at the hips. They reside there, pulling me closer. A sweet hum reaches my ears, emitted from deep within his chest.
Joy bubbles up from within as our kiss comes to a natural conclusion; Neuvillette pulls back to provide me an opportunity to breathe.
I feel warm all over as I study his smokey gaze. He’s breathing deeply, his chest rising and falling with rapid breaths. My palpitating heart can’t take much more of this.
Yet, I verbalize no objections as he languidly captures my lips once again. He’s impatient now; his hungry lips seek to claim every aspect of me, mind, body and soul. His lips easily devour mine, his tongue, which sought entrance moments before, now laps against my own.
A shiver racks my body as the warmth flooding my body threatens to be my demise. My hands seek purchase on his shoulder, pressing into his shoulder blades. I’m astonished by the passion within Neuvillette’s tender, yet heated embrace.
I have to pull away, lest I be swept up in his treacherous waves. A wistful sigh escapes his parted lips as he rests his forehead against my own. I gasp for air; He stole my breath away, just as the mighty waves of the sea indiscriminately rob many of their ability to breath, resulting in futile attempts to resurface.
I require more time than I’d like to admit to catch my breath.
“So.. does this mean you like me or?” My joke does not go unrewarded. His unamused look drives me into a fit of giggles.
Love washes over me, like a gentle caress, when he joins in.
I admire his unabashed laughter as his thumb rubs soothing circles on my hip.
⋆。𖦹 ° ♡⸝⸝ ✧˖
Distinct giggles can be heard from the other side of the door.
Neuvillette sighs.
He pinches the bridge of his nose, meanwhile my chest rapidly rises and falls in mirth.
“Do not encourage them.” He groans.
I overhear Sedene tell the other Melusine of the sight she was met with earlier this evening, as Neuvillette and I walked into his office hand in hand, and the girls gathered around her squeal with glee.
I peeked out of Neuvillette’s office a few moments ago, and my eyes were met with the adorable sight of a group of Melusine gathered around Sedene as if it were story time.
Now, I rest my head on Neuvillette’s shoulder as he signs the last document of the evening.
“Oh dear. I worry they’ll continue to discuss this for many days to come.” I can only smile as his face is colored with endearment; his eyes soften and he fails to stifle a smile.
“I don’t see anything wrong with that. They’re having fun, and they care dearly for you, Neuvillette..” “Ah, that’s where you’re wrong.” His retort leaves me feeling confused, but he only reaches for my hand.
I watch as he plays with my fingers, humming a tune to himself. “Dear, they have come to care deeply for you as well. Do you not notice the way Sedene’s eyes light up whenever you speak with her? Or how Kiara always runs in your direction the moment she spots you? Or, how about when– mmph!” The rest of his words are muffled behind my hands, pressed firmly to his mouth.
I can feel the grin he’s making.
“Okay okay, point taken.” I grumble, removing my hands.
My heart flutters when he sends a wink my way.
He turns his attention back to the signed document on his desk, moving it to the finished pile. “Speaking of caring deeply for someone… Name, I have something I wish to tell you.”
“Should the day ever come where you choose to remain by my side, I shall reveal something I know will be of interest to you.” I’m sure my face looks as astonished as I feel, because Neuvillette simply laughs, running his thumb along my bottom lip.
“Now now, there’s no need to make such a face.” “What are you talking about? Reveal.. What?” He only closes his eyes, emitting a quiet hum.
“My name, of course.”
My entire body stills as the gears turn in my head.
“Wait, so Neuvillette isn’t..” His eyes compel me, keeping mine locked with his as they open once more. A deep emotion lies within them, granting me a glimpse of the altruistic soul within.
“I have always asked citizens to refer to me by my last name.” His words make sense, and with the knowledge I have of him, he is one to keep people at a polite distance. Still… It's a bit shocking.
Even so, I have no qualms with this arrangement.
“It’s a deal, I’ll patiently wait for the day you tell me your name. ..First name, I mean.” There’s a glint in his eyes that reflects pleasant surprise, albeit there’s a hint of a challenge that resides within them.
“Oh? You sound confident. Not that I’m opposed, that is the ideal outcome I desire for our relationship.” I smile, placing my fingers under his chin as I lean in for a kiss.
He smiles as our lips embrace each other, placing his hands firmly against my back.
I had every right to feel confident; after all, I finally was able to witness Neuvillette on his knees, ring in hand as his loving gaze threatened to break the dam I was avidly struggling to hold back.
My eyes glisten with unshed tears as I join him on the ground. I practically throw myself onto him as I embrace him, and his carefree laugh is an alluring melody to my ears. He leisurely slips the ring onto my finger, pulling back so he can properly face me.
“Now, are you ready for me to consummate our arrangement?” My head bobs up and down so fast that I make myself a bit dizzy.
Warmth gives Neuvillette’s features an almost angelic glow as a delicate finger, free from the confines of his gloves, brushes along my cheek.
“Hmm…” He stalls.
I pout. He beams.
“Alright, alright. I will leave you in suspense no longer. My name is…”

In a loop
Tumblr media
your relationship between Wednesday Addams has always been a weird one.
Wednesday Addams x fem! Reader
1.
Your hands snaked around Wednesday’s neck, pulling her closer as she pressed her lips against yours, soft pants slipping from your mouth. With her body pressed onto yours like a puzzle piece, you led the two of you back, climbing onto the desk behind you.
She pulled back— not even giving you a second to catch your breath— before kissing you again. The lack of air made the two of you dizzy, clouding your eyes.
Even through your foggy vision, you could form her dark soft lips and her raven eyes in your mind. You smiled as you returned yet another kiss, your right hand traveling down to link your fingertips with hers.
You broke the kiss for a moment of pause, pulling back to admire the view. With the Wednesday addam’s eyes slightly droopy with exhaustion, the girl let out a small puff of pants before meeting her eyes with yours.
Your heart swelled with a massive amount of emotions as it pounded loudly in your ears. You could only look at her with adoration-filled eyes.
“Does this mean I get to go on a date with you now?” You asked sarcastically.
“You can’t love me.” The girl answered so fast she almost cut you off. It was as if she already knew what you were going to ask. You smiled knowingly, before closing the distance between you once again.
“Should've said that a long time ago.”
2.
Roses. Sunflowers. Wednesday huffed in annoyance.
How could one call this freedom of choice? There were only eight kinds of seeds for her to choose– all of them she disliked. flowers like such made her dizzy to even look at, and they want her to grow them? A ridiculous idea.
“--I think I’ll go with roses. It’s an obvious choice, but I like the meanings– true love, y’know? I like to think I’m a passionate person.” Your giggles made her way to her ears, piercing through the voices of the people around you.
“Plus, There’s someone I’ve been wanting to give this to. Good thing we get to grow this in class– I would’ve failed to do it by myself.”
The raven haired girl slowly turned her head towards the voice, before stealing a glance of you. Your hair tucked behind your ears, laughing about something your friend said. The way your lips moved when you talked– the way your eyes looked when met with hers.
“You okay?” It was then that she snapped out of her trance. With your eyebrows pulled together in concern, you pursed your lips when you were not given an answer.
“..yes, I’m fine.” She managed, her eyes averting– deep in thought. You eyed her suspiciously, before getting back to your friends.
Perhaps she shall choose the roses to grow for her assignment.
3.
“You two have a strange relationship.” Enid stated, typing away on her laptop– probably writing her blog.
“What do you mean?” You looked up from your notebook, letting the pen go from your fingers. You rotated your chair towards your friend– stretching your stiff arms as you did so.
“Like– wednesday and you, sometimes I’m convinced ya’ll are dating– but then you’re not! It feels like..” She paused for a bit, gathering her thoughts.
“-like a loop. Like a whole rollercoaster. Whenever I try to figure out the relationship between you two, I realize It’s just going to get my thoughts going around like a loop. It never. ends.” She rambled on, “Can’t you just confess and kiss and be girlfriends? Like normal people do? It is not helping me whenever I edit your profile on my blog. Your status? Dating. But also not? What kind of status is that?”
You chuckled at the sight of her hands wrapping around her head, groaning in frustration.
“We both know Wednesday Addams don’t do normal.” You said, making your friend giggle. “Be patient— she’s a hard to get kind of girl.”
The comment made both of you laugh, faint muffled laughters echoing down the Ophelia hall.
4.
“Stop moving.” The girl demanded, slightly tugging on your hair, making you yelp in surprise.
“I wasn’t moving!” You argued, letting out a huff.
“You were.”
You rolled your eyes playfully, before looking at her through the mirror. The girl was seated on her bed behind you, her fingers sliding along your hair thoroughly, taking some part of it before placing it above another.
“You were the one to request for your hair to be braided. Now stop talking because I will not hesitate to cut your tongue off.” She threatened although she knew you never really took her threats seriously. She could feel you scoffing sarcastically— which made her reconsider whether granting your wish was a good idea.
“No you won’t. You love me.” You stated as you rested your hand on your waist confidently.
“I can't love you. I will leave you in a broken mess and will haunt your dreams forever— I don’t think you would want that.”
“But I want you, Wednesday Addams.” You frowned as you turned to lock your eyes with hers, “Don’t try to look for the end of the abyss, love. It’s just an endless pit of nothing. Come to the surface— don’t worry about the possibilities of falling. We’ll keep each other afloat.”
You watched as the girl bit her lips, seemingly trying to fight the conflicts in her mind. “Hey,” you said, drawing her attention.
“I’m not gonna force you into a relationship. But just know you won’t leave me in a broken mess and haunt my dreams forever.” You grinned.
“I could kill all your family.” She argued, “I could-“
You cut her off with your lips against hers. You felt her breath stop in a momentary shock, before easing. Your hands were brought up to cup the other’s cheeks, feeling the way her lips felt pressed onto yours.
Her lips were cold against yours, yet you somehow managed to find warmth in it. A true mystery, indeed.
5.
“What are we?” Asked the girl, her voice slicing through the calm air between the pair.
Wednesday and you were out in the dark, sitting on a bench while waiting for the fireworks to start. Pack of people made it hard to hear her, but you managed to catch her voice nonetheless.
“Depends on what kind of question you’re asking. Humans, creatures on land— animals with greedy minds.”
Wednesday just stared with annoyance written on her face. You giggled, before sipping the slushy from your cup.
“I don’t know. What do you want us to be?” You watched as she frowned from your question.
“I am not sure either.”
A beat of silence passed.
“We don’t have to be anything.” You suggested, swinging your legs in the air, looking up at the dark, empty sky.
“Enid said we’re like a loop, a roller coaster. I think it’s cool. Roller coaster kind of relationship? Wow. A whole new kind of concept.” You laughed before meeting her eyes, watching as it softened slightly— a lot of people would have missed it in the dark, but you didn’t. You knew how the air changed around her when it did.
“So tell me,” you smiled mischievously, “are you enjoying the thrill? Cause I certainly am.”
The sky lit up as a firework exploded in the sky. Then another— then another. But those went unnoticed by the two of you, too tranced in the moment, too enchanted by each other’s eyes.
‘Rollercoaster kind of relationship’ you suggested didn’t sound too bad, to be honest to herself. There’s the thrill of going up and down— before looping around once again.
Yes, it truly didn’t sound too bad.

hello I am back!! This was supposed to be a simple fic— I did not expect this to end up this long.

bangchan x reader
The moment my video connected, I was met with Bang Chan’s warm, dimpled smile. My heart immediately did a backflip—this wasn’t my first fancall, but it was Bang Chan. He had a way of making everyone feel like the center of the universe, and today, it was my turn.
“Hi there!” His voice was as bright as his expression, and I swore the screen couldn’t do him justice. “What’s your name?”
“I’m Y/N,” I managed, hoping my voice didn’t sound as shaky as I felt.
“Y/N,” he repeated, testing the sound of it. His accent wrapped around my name in a way that made my cheeks heat. “That’s a lovely name. How are you doing today?”
“I’m good,” I replied. “I’ve been looking forward to this all week.”
He chuckled, the sound warm and genuine. “That makes two of us. It’s nice to meet you, Y/N. What should we talk about? Any questions or things you’d like to share?”
I took a deep breath, willing myself to calm down. “Actually, I wanted to tell you how much your music has helped me. Whenever I’m feeling down, your songs—especially ‘Grow Up’—make me feel understood. So… thank you.”
For a moment, his playful demeanor softened, and his eyes searched mine through the screen. “That means a lot to me, Y/N,” he said sincerely. “Knowing that our music can be there for you when you need it… that’s the reason we do this. You’re not alone, alright?”
I nodded, my heart swelling at his words. We spent the rest of the call chatting about little things: our favorite snacks, how hard it is to keep plants alive, and the latest Marvel movies. Every laugh of his, every tilt of his head as he listened to me, made me feel like I was sharing this moment with someone who genuinely cared.
When the call ended, I was left staring at a blank screen, my cheeks sore from smiling. It felt like a dream—a fleeting moment I’d treasure forever.
Weeks passed, and life returned to its usual rhythm. I still replayed the fancall in my head, but I didn’t expect anything more. That was until one evening when a notification lit up my phone.
Bang Chan has started following you.
I blinked at the screen, convinced I was imagining things. But no, it was his official account. Not only that, but he’d liked a few of my posts, including the one where I’d shared a snippet from our fancall. My heart raced as I stared at the notification, wondering what on earth was happening.
And then came the message.
Bang Chan: Hey, Y/N. I hope this isn’t weird, but I remembered our chat and found your account. I’d really like to get to know you better. Would you be okay with that?
I stared at my screen in disbelief. Bang Chan—an actual superstar—was asking if he could talk to me. After a moment of internal screaming, I typed out a reply.
Me: Hi, Chan! It’s not weird at all. I’d love that.
Over the next few months, our conversations became a regular part of my day. We talked about everything and nothing: his work, my studies, the random memes we stumbled across. There was a sweetness in the way he remembered little details about me, like my favorite coffee order or the name of the stray cat I’d been feeding.
Then came the message that changed everything.
Bang Chan: I’m coming to your city next month. Do you think we could meet?
I stared at the text, my heart pounding. Meeting him in person felt like a terrifying and exhilarating prospect. But I knew my answer immediately.
Me: I’d like that.
When the day finally came, I was a bundle of nerves. We’d agreed to meet at a quiet cafe far from prying eyes. I arrived early, my hands fidgeting with my cup as I waited.
And then he walked in, dressed casually in a hoodie and jeans, but somehow managing to look like he’d stepped out of a magazine. His eyes lit up when he saw me, and he waved, his dimpled smile making my heart race.
“Y/N,” he greeted, sliding into the seat across from me. “It’s good to see you.”
“You too,” I replied, hoping my voice didn’t betray how nervous I was.
The conversation flowed as easily as it did online, and gradually, my nerves faded. He was just as kind and attentive in person, and there were moments when his gaze lingered a little longer, his hand brushing mine as he reached for his drink.
After the cafe, we decided to take a walk, the evening air crisp and cool. At one point, he stopped and turned to me, his expression uncharacteristically shy.
“Y/N, I… I really like you,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. “I know this might be complicated, but I can’t ignore how I feel.”
My breath hitched, and before I could second-guess myself, I leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. His hands came up to cup my face, the kiss deepening just slightly, filled with a tenderness that made my heart ache.
When we pulled apart, he rested his forehead against mine, a soft smile playing on his lips. “Does this mean you feel the same?”
“Yes,” I whispered, my cheeks burning.
But happiness is rarely simple. The next day, photos of us together surfaced online, our kiss splashed across headlines. The news spread like wildfire, and soon, my social media was flooded with both support and vitriol. The negativity was overwhelming, and I found myself retreating from the online world.
Chan noticed immediately. “Y/N, talk to me,” he urged during one of our calls. “We’ll get through this together.”
But the weight of it all felt too much. “Chan, I don’t want to be the reason you’re hurt. Maybe it’s better if we stop this before it gets worse.”
His eyes filled with pain. “Don’t say that. We can figure this out. You’re worth it.”
Tears streamed down my face as I shook my head. “I can’t let you sacrifice so much for me.”
The call ended with both of us in tears, and for days, I felt like a part of me was missing.
Months passed, and though life moved on, a part of me still ached for what we’d shared. Then, one evening, a package arrived at my door. Inside was a handwritten letter and a small bracelet.
The letter read: Y/N, I’ll wait for as long as it takes. You’re worth every sacrifice. Don’t forget that.
Tears welled in my eyes as I held the bracelet, a tiny charm in the shape of a star dangling from it. And for the first time in months, I felt a spark of hope.
Maybe, just maybe, our story wasn’t over yet.

Pack Of Hearts- Stiles Stilinski x Y/n PT4
part three - part five
Tumblr media
It had been half an hour since Scott had left Stiles’ house. Half an hour of you and Stiles going back and forth, trying to agree on the next plan of action.
“So you really think it’s a good idea to go after him, when he did…this?”you shook your head, pointing to the leather seat that was now shredded.
“He’s my bestfriend Y/n”Stiles got up from his seat on the end of his bed, searching around his room with a purpose.
“Yeah and look at what he did, look at what he was going to do to you”you replied quickly.
“I’m not going to give up on him, just because he might be a-a” Stiles’ voice trailed away, not knowing what to say. He snapped out of his thoughts resuming the rush around his bedroom.
“So for the love of god would you get your jacket on because we’ve got a party to go to”He stopped in front of you, shaking his car keys around excitedly.
“Have you lost your mind?”You asked genuinely, staring at him with empty eyes.
“Not recently”he mumbled under his breath.
“You’re insane, I’m going home”you laughed out, absolutely convinced that he had lost brain cells. There was no way in hell that you would be attending Lydia Martin’s party that night. Never.
“Are you sur-
“I’ve truly never been so sure of anything in my life”you cut him off, nodding violently as you grabbed your jacket and bag.
“I know your car is still in the shop so I’ll drop you off on the way, it’s getting late”he offered, holding his bedroom door open a small smirk dancing across his face.
He drove straight past your house.
“I should really call the police station and report you for kidnapping, in fact I should call your father”you hissed, slumping down in the passenger’s seat in Stiles’ jeep. If you could call it a jeep.
“If you must”Stiles sighed, tossing his phone over into your lap. You responded with silence, debating on jumping out of the car whilst it was still moving. You’d do anything to not have to go to this party.
“Hey, y/n can you pass me the-
“No”you replied, staring out of the window, a scowl fixed on your face.
“At what point do you become mature?”Stiles laughed out to himself.
“When I get to go home”you answered, sending him a glare from your corner of the vehicle.
“I hope the ground swallows you whole Stilinski”you added for extra measure.
“Honestly same”he muttered out as the two of you turned into Lydia’s driveway. Stiles jumped out of his side, jogging around to open the door for you.
You swung your legs over the side, jumping down from the seat as you rolled your eyes. The smell of alcohol invading your nose almost immediately. The sound of music drowned out every single one of your thoughts. It was extremely busy, and you were extremely terrified.
Stiles noticed the way your skin had turned a shade paler, the goosebumps that crawled up your skin as you shivered. His eyes widened when he realised, you had never been to a party before.
“H-hey, let’s just treat this as an investigation stakeout right? Don’t even stress, we’ll grab a drink- non alcoholic if that’s how you roll- a-and we’ll chill at the sides…just keeping watch”he took a step closer to you as your eyes darted around, taking in the party scene.
“If you leave me to fend for myself I swear-
“I promise i’ll be by your side the whole time”he reassured you, pulling on your jacket intent on leading the way.
You and Stiles tried your hardest to manoeuvre your way through the tight crowd without losing eachother. Him squeezing through in front and you fighting for your life in the back. A dancing stranger nudges Stiles making him lose grip of your jacket, his hands falling down your arm somehow catching your hand at the bottom.
You ignored the weird feeling you got as your hands fit perfectly together, his grip tightening as he weaved through the sweaty teenagers. The bass of the music travelling through your body to the beat. The two of you decided against letting go, you’d definitely get lost if he did.
You thought the walk through the house toward the back patio would never end but you felt relief wash over you when you felt the breeze hit your face. There you found dozens of party attendees dancing and drinking around the swimming pool and the fire pits scattered across the yard.
As you take the party in, Stiles peered down at your intertwined hands, how comfortable it felt. It was like your thoughts had caught up to his as your hand slipped out of his, becoming self aware.
He tried to brush off the cold shiver he’d felt after you let go before pointing over to the drinks table where it was quieter. As you followed Stiles across the patio you caught sight of Allison and Scott dancing together on the other side of the garden.
You observed as Allison and Scott are nose-to-nose, and just when it looks like they're about to kiss, Scott's fingers tighten around the back of Allison's jacket. He looks as if he is suddenly stricken with a terrible headache caused by all of his senses being heightened all at once.
You lifted your head, noticing the full moon blazing over the garden, gulping as you looked to Scott once more.
He groaned out as he clutched his temples with both hands. Allison stopped dancing and looks at him with concern. Over near the drinks table your arm reached out behind you trying to gain Stiles’ attention as he was pouring the two of you a drink.
Scott continued to hiss out in pain until the ache subsided slightly, opening his eyes just enough to see where he's going as he turned to go somewhere private and ride the sickness out.
“I'll be right back”he uttered out turning to walk away from Allison. Leaving her alone.
Scott stumbled towards the house, as he grows closer to where you were stood his vision started to get shaky and blurry. You nudge Stiles in the side and he croaks out at the sudden jab. Giving you a confused frown before following your line of sight. He notices Scott and looks at him with a worried expression.
“Yo, Scott, you good?”Stiles asked concerned for his friend. Scott seemed too overwhelmed to respond to Stiles.
“Are you okay?”you questioned straight after watching as Scott sway side to side, getting further away from the two of you.
You looked up at Stiles, mentally asking if you should go after him, Allison had the same idea it seemed as she appeared next to you looking both confused and hurt. Understandable.
The three of you silently followed Scott until you saw him get into his mom’s car, driving off without another word. It seemed like ten minutes passed before Stiles reached into his pocket pulling out his phone.
“I’m gonna try and call Scott”he caught your eye, telepathically asking if you were okay to wait whilst he made a phone call. You gave him an approving nod watching as he skulked away to his jeep.
You turned to the familiar face, her face frozen on the spot where Scott had parked his car.
“Silly question, but are you alright?”you ask quietly, the wind blowing her brown hair out of her face as she forced a smile onto her face.
“I’m always alright y/n”Allison turned to you, the grin never faltering, you felt a small smile twitch onto your face as your gaze fell to the ground.
“How have you been?”she added, remembering the last time she’d spoken to you and how you were in a rush to leave.
“I’ve been- I’ve been okay, thanks for asking”Your smile grew bigger. What was happening to you?
“Hey- Listen, I don’t know Scott well at all actually, but I know one thing… I know he’s not a bad guy”You offered, not knowing if you were helping the situation.
“I appreciate that a lot, thankyou”Allison blinked slowly, nodding gratefully.
Your conversation was cut short by Stiles tripping over his own feet as he made his way over to where you and Allison were stood. Kneeling down to tie up his shoelaces as he mumbled profanities.
“I had him and then I lost him”He jumped up seconds later, slightly out of breath and waving his phone around frantically.
“C’mon y/n, let’s go home”Stiles motioned towards you abruptly. You perked up when he mentioned your house. Home sweet home.
You pivoted to face Allison, giving her an expression that told her that you didn’t want to leave her all alone outside a party. She caught on quickly, almost shoo-ing you away telling you she’d be okay.
“Maybe I’ll see you at School?”She called after you waving you away.
“Maybe you will”you smiled, lifting your hand to wave back. Stiles watched the interaction his mouth falling open slightly.
“What was that, huh?”he smirked as he leant against his jeep, a smirk playing on his lips. He didn’t have to say it aloud.
“Start the jeep Stilinski”watching him unlock your door.
“Right yeah, home time”he agreed, opening the door for you so that you could climb in. Your eyes wandered across the car park over to where Allison was stood but she was now joined by yet another familiar face.
“Derek hale?”Stiles head snapped up from his wheel at your words.
“What about him?”Stiles raised an eyebrow confused.
“N-no he’s here, he’s talking to Allison…In fact im pretty sure she’s getting into his car?!”An unsettling feeling had gotten caught in your chest, the pairing already highly suspicious.
“Okay we gotta go”Stiles mumbled, speeding out away from Lydia’s house before you could choke out a “Wait”.
Tumblr media
When Scott had gotten home from the party he rushed upstairs to his bedroom, locking the door before sliding down into a crouching position.
Groaning in pain, he eventually stumbled into the attached bathroom and stripped out of his jacket and tshirt before climbing into the bathtub and turning on the shower so that hot water poured over him.
It seemed to give him some momentary relief until he suddenly gritted his teeth in pain and anxiously rubbed his right hand over his face to try to distract himself from it, his fingers started to ache, and when he looked down at the palms of his water-swollen hands, he was horrified to see his fingernails growing into long, sharp claws.
Across town you sat in Stiles’ jeep as it sped down the road. Stiles driving like a mad man, a determine scowl on his face as he bit his lip.
“Stiles, why do I get the feeling you aren’t actually taking me home?”you finally sighed your knee bobbing up and down.
Stiles stuttered, his eyes falling on you before switching back to the road.
“What gives you that idea?”he hummed out furrowing his eyebrows.
“That fact that you drove past my house five minutes ago”you folded your arms across your chest.
“Sorry y/n, we just have to make one more stop”He confessed.
“Seriously?! You could at least tell me where we’re going”You huffed out, winding down the window.
“We’re going to Scott’s”
Frantically getting out of the shower, Scott looked in the mirror over the medicine cabinet and was even more overwhelmed to find his canine teeth growing into fangs and his irises glowing a bright gold color. Just then, a loud pounding knock is heard on his bedroom door. Scott pressed his forehead and torso against the inside of the door.
“Go away”he growled out.
“Scott, it's us”Stiles called out from the other side, the two of you standing close to the door with your ears against it.
Scott, realizing that it is just you two on the other side, unlocks the door but only allows Stiles to open it a few inches so that Stiles can hear him but not see him. Scott continued to lean his forehead against the door as he struggled to control his breathing.
“Let us in-“
Stiles looked over to you pausing for a moment, seeing that you are already giving him a slight nod of encouragement.
-Scott. We can help”he continued, trying his hardest to get through to his bestfriends who was clearly suffering. The thought of you and Stiles getting closer to him causes him to panic, he was deathly afraid of what would happen . Instead, Scott, lisping slightly due to his fangs, pleads with you.
“Y/n, Stiles you can’t be here, you gotta find Allison”he begged.
“She's fine, all right? We saw her get a ride from the party. She's-she's totally fine, all right?”Stiles tried to calm the situation.
“Don’t worry Scott, Allison is okay I-I spoke to her”Scott perked up at the sound of your voice, that being the first time you had spoken since arriving at Scott’s.
“No, I think I know who it is”Scott uttered out.
“Know who? What are you talking about?”you asked looking up at Stiles who looked just as baffled as you did.
“Dude, just let me in! We can try-
Stiles tried to push the door once more, becoming exasperated.
“It's Derek. Derek Hale is the Werewolf! He's the one that bit me. He's the one that killed the girl in the woods”Scott revealed, letting out what sounded like a cry.
Your mouth fell open slightly, your eyes widening in fear, Stiles mirrored your expression, the horror of the situation dawning on you both.
“Scott... Derek's the one who drove Allison from the party”Stiles tried to listen out for any sign of Scott, pressing his eyes to gap in the door.
“I’m sorry Scott”you offered sincerely, pressing your hand against the door. You felt terrible. You felt like if anything happened to Allison it would have been your fault you should have just gotten out of the Jeep when you’d seen him approach her.
Scott processed your words for a short moment before he quickly pushed the door and locked it again. Out in the hallway, Stiles rattles on the doorknob, and when he can't open the door, he starts to pound on it with his fist in an attempt to be let in.
You took this as your queue to start running towards the staircase knowing that Scott’s window was his only exit, you jumped down the stairs two at a time landing with a wobble before speeding towards his front door. You let out a frustrated yell as you fumbled around with his door handle.
You felt the breeze on your face as you sprinted outside of the house just in time to see Scott land the jump from his second-floor window. The air being knocked out of your lungs as he lands on his feet in front of you in perfect form.
Glancing in your direction before completing his transformation into his Werewolf form, complete with a ridged brow, pointed ears, gold glowing eyes, claws, and fangs. Saliva dripped from the tips of his elongated canine teeth as he looks up at the full moon and roars.
“Scott, stop!”you hear Stiles’ voice getting closer as he came to an abrupt halt next to you, grabbing your shoulder as he tried to catch his breath. He felt how you were frozen to the spot his eyes following your to see Scott who was fully wolfed out.
He let out a growl before hurtling down the road away from you at a speed you’d never witnessed. You couldn’t bring yourself to form full words as Stiles once again dragged you towards the jeep, sending you a sympathetic smile before opening the door for you just as he been doing all evening.
“Is there any point in asking if going home tonight?”you sighed out, buckling yourself in.
“Nope, I kinda need you tonight”Stiles blurted out, it was like he was uncontrollably vomiting up his words. Your mouth settled into a frown, unintentionally staring at Stilinski as he swerved around the corner.
No one had ever told you that they needed you, and this was completely new territory for you.
Across town at the Beacon Hills preserve Scott jumps on top of Derek's car, which is parked just out front of the entrance sign. He looks inside to see that neither Allison nor Derek are there before he headed deeper into the woods.
Scott, fully transformed, is running through the woods, using his new superhuman sense of smell to track Allison's scent in order to locate her and Derek.
Meanwhile, you and Stiles had just arrived at the Argent’s house, immediately rushing out of the Jeep toward the front door, where he frantically rings the doorbell as he mutters under his breath You cringed as he continued to ring the bell.
“Okay, you’re quite erratic right now so I think it’s best if I do the talking”you advised, watching as he shuffled about restlessly in front of you.
He sends you a brief ‘I’m fine, not at all freaking out’ stare. The door swings open and Allison's mother, Victoria Argent, finding an overwhelmed Stiles and a wary y/n on the doorstep.
Stiles wastes no time trying to figure out what is going on with Allison and your eyes widen. This was not the plan.
“Hi, Mrs. Argent. Um - You have no idea who I am. I'm a friend of your daughter's. Uhhh, look, this is gonna sound kind of crazy, um...-
“We were just wondering if Allison was home”you interrupted, saving both Stiles and yourself from further embarrassment.
“Allison! It's for you”she shouted into the house, Victoria looking at Stiles as though he's stupid.
Allison walked onto the balcony at the top of the staircase, seemingly safe and sound. You noted that she was missing the black blazer that she had been wearing that night.
Stiles looks flabbergasted by the sight of her, and Allison looked confused as to why he was so panicked. Sending you a small wave from up the stairs, you lifted a hand offering her the same, letting out a sigh of relief.
Tumblr media
Scott continued to run though the woods, following Allison’s scent until he reached a clearing, Allison's jacket dangled from a branch and Scott realises that this was the scent he was following, and not the scent of Allison herself. When Derek steps out of the shadows, Scott glares at him and growls in warning.
“Where is she?”McCall calls out angrily. If only he’d answer the damn phone.
“She's safe... from you”Derek hissed back.
Derek lurches forward to tackle Scott, leading to the two of them rolling down a slight hill. Once they reach the bottom, Derek pulls Scott to his feet and pins him against a tree.
“What did you do with her?”
“Shh, quiet. Too late. They're already here. Run”Derek replied in hushed tones, his eyes flickering out behind him into the woods.
Derek disappears, but Scott, takes a minute to catch on, a flash-bang arrow flies past him, blinding him momentarily. Another arrow hurtles towards him, slicing into his left forearm.
Suddenly, a group of three middle-aged male Hunters stepped out of the shadows, with the leader, Argent, holding a crossbow aimed right at Scott while Derek watches from a distance.
“Take him”
Before the Hunters can move, Derek appears knocking out the two closest to him, leaving Chris outnumbered. Derek pulls the arrow out of Scott's arm, a loud roar echoing through the preserve.
When Chris finishes checking on his men, he looks back at the tree to find that Scott is gone.
Scott, now in his human form, fell to his knees as he recovered from the overwhelming combination of transforming into a Werewolf, believing Allison to be in danger, and being shot by Hunters. He looks at Derek with an expression of anger, hurt, and betrayal.
“Who were they?”Scott breathed out.
“Hunters. The kind that have been hunting us for centuries”Derek shoved his hands in his pockets as he stood in front of Scott who was furiously glaring at him.
“Us? You mean you! You did this to me!”Scott accused.
“Is it really so bad, Scott? That you can see better? Hear more clearly? Move faster than any human could ever hope? You've been given something that most people would kill for. The bite is a gift”Derek shot out at the teenager shaking his head.
“I don't want it”Scott retorted.
“You will. And you're gonna need me if you want to learn how to control it”Derek placed his hand on Scott's shoulder.
“So you and me, Scott? We're brothers now”Derek added before disappearing into the night.
Tumblr media
The sun began to rise between the trees as Stiles tapped his fingers against the steering wheel along with the low volume music. He let out a quiet yawn as he reached forward to adjust his mirror, pausing when he caught sight of you in the back seat sleeping underneath his jacket that he’d placed over you not long after you’d let sleep take over.
Stiles began to slow the jeep down when he noticed Scott walking along the side of the road, still wearing only his jeans from the night before and cradling his now-healed left forearm.
Stiles' Jeep pulled up next to him to pick him up. Scott climbed into the passenger seat, putting on one of the many hoodies he’d left behind. He buckled himself in, his eyes flickering to the back of the jeep where you snored lightly.
The two boys share a look before Scott breaks the silence.
“You know what actually worries me the most?”he murmured out, trying his hardest to not wake you up.
“If you say "Allison," I'm gonna punch you in the head”Stiles lowered his voice to match his bestfriends, finally starting up the Jeep.
“She probably hates me now”Scott continued.
“Ugh. I doubt that. But you might want to come up with a pretty amazing apology. Or, you know, you could just tell her the truth and revel in the awesomeness of the fact that you're a frickin' Werewolf”Stiles exclaimed, his voice getting a little louder.
Scott shoots him and look and Stiles immediately backtracks.
“Look, things are changing right- just speak to her”Stiles briefly glances at Scott who furrowed his eyebrows.
“Things are changing?”Scott questioned, leaning his head against the window.
“Yeah things are changing, with you, with y/- Stiles sentence cuts short as the two boys hear you stir and move about in the back. They quickly turn to check on you for a moment before swivelling forwards to face the road.
Stiles doesn’t finish his sentence, him and Scott sitting in a knowing silence.

July seeps into August in a yellow haze. The heat has stupefied the village, slowing all movement, the tourists wading through the humid streets with ice creams melting down their hands, the only kind of food it feels acceptable to eat. It hasn’t rained in weeks, since that first storm of summer, and the landscape struggles. The grass in the local pitch has shrivelled, and the earth has become a powdery dust that fills the air every time our football skims it. It keeps sticking to the sun cream on our skin. Every evening I need to wash an extraordinary amount of grit, dirt and sand out of strange places, like the creases in my elbows, and the webbing between my fingers and toes.
Tumblr media
I launch the ball down the pitch to where Jen is bouncing foot to foot near the goalpost, and wander towards the sideline to mop sweat from my brow with the t-shirt I stripped off an hour ago.
“You want water?” Claire O’Gorman holds her pink metal bottle to me. It jangles with the fluffy charms and beads clipped to it. I shake my head. Jen saw her kissing Shane last night at the front door before she left, so at least twenty percent of the backwash already in that water is bound to be his. I don’t tell her this, because if she doesn’t know what backwash is, I’ll have to go through the whole rigamarole of explaining it, and inevitably end up looking stupid, so I just shake my head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You’re running like mad out there,” she comments. “I don’t know how you’ve the strength in this weather.”
“You just endure it, I guess.”
“Hm, I couldn’t. I’m like a princess. I just really don’t like sweating and getting all out of breath. Evie is like you, though,” she adds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m careful to arrange my features into a neutral expression. Claire has been hanging around with us every day for the last week, for reasons that nobody has explained to me, not that I have asked, but when I chat with her, I make sure that I never, ever bring up Evie. Teenage girls are detectives. They pick up on the tiniest facial expressions or shift in tone and use it against you.
I’ve been bamboozled before, and the last thing I need is for Claire to go home to Evie in the evenings and tell her, God forbid, that I asked a question about her. The multitudes of ways they could read into my body language makes me feel queasy.
“Right,” I say in a bored voice, and scratch my armpit.
Tumblr media
“She’s always like, go go go! All the time, you know? Like playing tennis one minute, swimming the next, going on a mad run the next it’s like,” she rolls her eyes for emphasis, “take a break, girl, please, you know?”
“Mm.”
“I’ve been trying my best to convince her to come to that festival too, just to get away from the routine, but I can’t get her to give me any sort of answer about it.”
Tumblr media
I frown. “Did you invite her to the festival?”
“Oh, was I not meant to? I kind of thought it’d be fun if she came, you know, so it’s not just me.”
“I didn’t know you were coming either.”
Her face drains. “Oh, well, Shane asked me, and I-”
“No, no, you can. Oh my God, obviously, I didn’t mean-”
“Right! Okay, of course, but like, I don’t want to impose on-”
“Just I didn’t know Evie might come, that’s all.”
Tumblr media
“Well, yeah, I thought it’d be nice for me to have a close friend with me, but if you don’t want her to... like, she might not be able to anyway, so.”
“I don’t not want her to come.” God, why does this feel like a conversation two thirteen-year-olds would have? I swear I haven’t felt this juvenile in years, and I cringe, as though some other version of myself, the cooler Jude, is watching me engage in this conversation and groaning into his hands. Sometimes, these days, I feel like the cooler Jude is slipping through my fingers like handfuls of sand.
Tumblr media
“She’s actually really nice,” Claire says with an edge of defensiveness. “I know she’s a bit quiet. I thought that when I met her first too, she was kind of known as the weird girl at school, but when you get to know her, she’s a really sweet person.”
Tumblr media
“I know,” I say, my face burning. “I mean... she seems nice. I didn’t mean to imply that she isn’t. Please don’t tell her I think she’s quiet, or weird, or that I don’t want her at the festival or anything like that.”
“No, of course.”
“Because I do… like... think she’s nice, and it’d be okay if she came with us. I would even want her to, actually.” Shut up. God, please, shut the fuck up, you dickhead.
Claire smiles and nods.
“But don’t tell her I specifically want her to either, just… Don’t tell her anything.” Oh, line me up against a wall and shoot me, execution style.
“I won’t.”
I bet she will. And I bet she'll tell her about about the smell of desperation off me, too.
Tumblr media
“Turner!” Shane bellows. “What are you at? Your team mates are flailing over here.”
“Right, bye,” I tell Claire, and turn around quickly, unable to bear the embarrassment for another second.
“Bye!”
As I walk back onto the pitch, I screw my eyes shut and thump my fist against my forehead.
I’m toast.

Babysitter Part Two - Matt Sturniolo x Y/n oneshot
warnings - fluff, swearing, cute
—————————
Flashback on Babysitter part one
9:35pm sunday
“Yeah, right so i’m gonna go now.” I smile.
“Or maybe you don’t have too…” Matt trails off, i give him a confused look, but he walks up to me, and gets real close. “You should stay..” Matt breathes out, he got so close to where his lips were almost hovering over mine.
“I can..” I swallow harshly and nod. “I can stay..” I whisper.
“Good.” He mutters before he leans in and kisses me, it catches me by surprise but i immediately kiss back, my hands going around his neck as his go around my waist.
He hums into the kiss and bites my lip, making me let out a soft gasp and matt takes his chance in sticking his tongue in my mouth. I moan against his lips as he presses me against the counter.
“Daddy?” We pull away from the kiss to see flora.
—————————
Matt clears his throat and moves his body away from me completely.
He flashes a smile towards Flora and starts to walk towards her, “What are you doing out of bed, sweet girl?”
I hear their chatter get quieter and quieter as they walk away and back to Floras bedroom.
I let out a breath, composing myself before taking this as a chance to leave, leaving the house without warning.
Matts POV
“We are just friends, Flora.” I sighed as i tucked my daughter back into bed, taking a seat on her soft comforter as i tried to convince her that me and her babysitter were not together.
“But friends don’t kiss, daddy!” Flora giggled.
I shook my head and chuckled, leaning down and kissing her forehead. “You need some rest, baby.” I said, getting up starting to walk out of her room.
“Daddy?” Flora calls out one more time, i mentally prepare myself for what she’s gotta say as i stand in her doorframe.
“Yes, Flora?”
“I like her too. So i think you and her should be not friends anymore, and be more than friends.” Flora said, her tone was serious enough for a five year old.
I nodded, “I’ll uh- think about it, Flor. Sweet dreams, my love.” I said, turning her light off and walking out of the room.
Smiling to myself as i walked down the stairs, it wasn’t supposed to mean a lot coming from a five year old who barely knows her left and right, but it felt like a lot, it felt good.
I rubbed my forehead as i made it downstairs, trying to think of what to say to Y/n when i got down but she wasn’t there anymore.
“Y/n?” I call out to the now empty kitchen.
No answer.
I sighed but shrugged. Whatever.
—————————
Y/n POV
1:36pm
I took a deep breath as i got ready to knock on Matt’s front door.
He asked me to come babysit Ella today, i obviously agreed because i still need money.
I sighed,
knock
knock
knock
On the front door.
I heard shuffling inside before it opened, revealing Matt.
“Y/n!” Matt breathed out, “Hi.” He said.
I gave him a weird look, but with a smile I said, “Hey, where’s Flora?”
Matt looks down for a second, “About that..” He clears his throat.
I roll my eyes, “If Flora isn’t here, Matt, i am going to lo-”
“Just hear me out!” He interrupts, “I just wanna talk to you. Without interruptions.” He reasons, looking at me with pleading eyes.
I sigh and nod, giving in. “Okay,”
Matt smiles, “Okay.”
He then leads me to sit on his couch, him taking a seat next to me.
“I-”
“Do-”
We both start talking at the same time, we both let out a laugh before i shake my head, “Right, go first.”
Matt nods and swallows harshly, “I, like you a lot, Y/n. A-and i’ve only known you for about a month but i’m so serious i- i can’t stop thinking about you. You’re all i want. Tell me you feel the same way.”
“Matt-”
“Say it. Say you feel the same way like i know you do or you wouldn’t have kissed me back.” He says, looking at me.
“I feel the same way.” I whisper.
He nods, “I know.” He looks down at my lips quickly before pulling me into a kiss.
I sigh into the kiss, my hands going into his hair.
“Do you wanna be more than my babysitter?” He pulls away from the kiss, breathing heavily.
I nod with a big smile on my face, “Of course.” I say before pulling him back into another kiss.

Bark like you want it! -Ch. 6~AU Demon Slayer~
Tumblr media
Pullin' out the coupe at the lot
Told 'em fuck 12, fuck SWAT
Bustin' all the bells out the box
I just hit a lick with the box
Had to put the stick in a box, mmh
Pour up the whole damn seal, I'ma get lazy
I got the mojo deals, we been trappin' like the '80s
She sucked a n*gga soul, gotta Cash App
Told 'em wipe a n*gga nose, say slatt, slatt
I won't never sell my soul, and I can back that
And I really wanna know, where you at, at?
I ground my hips with the beat of the music, flipping my hair and rotating my hips in a circular motion that made me smile as the music continued playing. I let my hands roam my body in happiness as I was engulfed in the ocean of people just wanting to forget their problems. I was one of them! I didn’t want to think about Akaza or Kyojuro or their lust of my body. No tonight it was all about me. A group of women came over, complimented my beauty and asked if they and their boyfriends could dance with me. It was a total of six.
I’ve seen then on campus before, so I was a bit familiar with who they were. I nodded and the men kept it respectful, only sensually touching their girlfriends who occasionally ground their hips and bodies on me of which I didn’t mind. Suddenly the music transitioned into 40 Cal by Hairatage and I was ready to really cut lose to the beat of the music!
I got some haters talking, they've been getting rookie nails They want to go to war, I chew 'em up just like my fingernails I roll with shadows, fuck the jail I can't afford the bail, but if I do they know I get it poppin' like the 40 Cal!
I curled my arms over my face, my braids over my face and popped my chest out immediately shaking my ass with the sharp rift of the music. Everyone was going crazy at the sharp music. The club was truly brought to life, the heat rising from everyone’s fast body movements and the smell now a mixture of different sweat. I wanted to drink tonight, I wanted to fuck tonight! I wanted to do whatever the fuck I wanted! As more relaxed dance music began to play, I began to move from the dance floor, letting my body droop against the bar. Since I needed to have my wits about me, I decided a water was the best I was going to get tonight. My heart was fluttering from utter happiness, the adrenaline overtaking me. My body was begging for more fun, the crowd felt as if it were calling me back into it.
I just needed to catch my breath. I pulled my phone from my dress’ pocket, happy it had a zip up fold so I would never lose it. I checked my messages.
Mitsuri: How are you doing?
Me: All good, shouldn’t be out too long. Hope your date is going well!
Mitsuri: Aw good I’m glad and yes it’s going well. Text me when you’re on your way home!
Me: Will do!
Kyojuro: Hey hope your night is going well. I heard you were going out to the club tonight. If things get weird with anyone there, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Me: Thanks, I’m good. Have a good weekend.
I did not need to ask him about his day, his evening or anything! His intentions were not pure, and I would refuse to think he could actually convince me otherwise.
Akaza: WYA
Me: The Unholy
Akaza: *Typing…* With who??
Me: Me, myself and I.
Akaza: Why didn’t you tell me you were going dancing! I would have loved to go dancing with you.”
I stiffened.
Me: That sounds like a date and I don’t do dates.
Akaza: So you’d rather go straight to the really sweaty work out then?
Me: I’m going back on the dance floor.
Akaza: I’m on my way over there.
Me: Fine then I’m leaving.
Akaza: Don’t be like that. Come on I can throw down! Besides nothing would make us both happier than to feel that ass grinding up on my-”
I tucked my phone back in my dress and looked at the bartender who was on the other side of the bar. He was a tall man with a handsome face and long flowing black hair.
“Hi, I’d like to pay for the water!” I replied waving to him. The man turned and smirked at me.
“On the house since you made my night with that hot dancing of yours!” he called out before winking at me. I smiled and dipped my head some in embarrassment.
“Thank you!” I called out. However, a flash of long black hair and a big grin is all I could make out before me.
“Hey cutie, how ‘bout I buy you the next round!” a boisterous voice said. Standing before me was a tall man in a black fishnet tank and green baggy jeans was leaning over the bar, cheek planted in his palm. I blinked rapidly.
“You wish to buy me another round of water?” I asked. He snickered.
“Of course! Gotta stay hydrated if you plan to dance again!” he said. “The name’s Karaku! I see you a lot on campus, so that makes us classmates in a way. What’s your name?”
Our campus was pretty big how exactly did he see me?
“Yara!” I said over the heavy music which only made the man lean in a bit so he could hear
“Yara? Wow that’s a pretty name! Never heard it before! So that’s makes you my first!” he said. I gave a polite smile however I wasn’t sure where this conversation was going, and I really wanted to dance to a few more songs before it was time to call a cab. “Say you have some really pretty hair, Yara, it makes you look like a goddess! Black women have the most exotic hair styles!”
And now he’s lost my attention and my tense face at his compliment told me so. I didn’t like the word exotic being used to describe me or anything on me. Made me feel weird.
“Thanks!” I said stiffly before leaning off the bar and trying to wave a goodbye to him, before he caught my hand.
“Say, I’m here tonight with three of my brothers! We’ve been studying hard cramming for the upcoming midterms you know how it is, and we were wondering if maybe you’d like to dance with us!” he offered before point pointing over my shoulder toward the very end of the bar where three men, identical to Karaku, were looking at me with different emotions on their faces. One looked to be glaring slightly, nodding his head up at me as if saying ‘sup with his eyes. He wore a red tank and black jeans. I could see the two sleeve tattoos that covered his muscular arms.
Waving happily beside him was a man in a black tank top under a yellow jacket and brown shorts. His wrists were wrapped with yellow bands and yellow beaded necklace sat loose on his neck. Beside him was a nervous, almost sad looking man in a blue and white striped uniform and he looked almost nervous.
Woah, I had never seen a set of quadruplets before, and I couldn’t help but look from then back to Karaku who just smirked.
“Wow, and all four of you want to dance with me, why?” I asked. There were many cute and attractive women in the club tonight and it made me suspicious that a group of men wanted to just dance with me when there were so many other options.
“Absolutely. The way you moved on the dancefloor was just stunning. My brothers and I couldn’t take our eyes off you! You seem like a lot of fun, Yara! So how’s about it, one more dance before the night ends?” he asked.
Suddenly, a beat popped in my ears from above and my eyes widened as well as my smile as the remix version of Enya’s Only Time, Crunk in Time, was playing. I couldn’t wait anymore I had to pop off tonight. I smirked at Karaku.
“If you and your brothers can keep up tonight, then sure, one dance.” I replied before pushing off the bar, taking his hand and guiding him to the dance floor, my hips dipping and swaying from side to side with the beat of the music. I noticed the three brothers moving off the bar and following us to the dance floor and slowly approached me with pleased looks on their faces as they each stood in a perfect square around me.
“I’m Sekido!” the brother in red said harshly making me jump a bit, but I smiled nonetheless from genuine amusement. He stood in front of me.
“I’m Urogi the fun one!” the brother in yellow said as he stood on the left of me.
“Ha as if!” Karaku shouted from behind me, his hand already palming my bottom which I didn’t mind.
“And I’m Aizetsu!” the brother in blue said on my right. He looked nervous almost.
“I’m Yara!” I said with a smile noticing how all four of these men smelled really good. I liked that. The men were moving their hips with the beat of the music as was I.
I began to move my hips in a circular motion so a part of me would graze each of the men’s body giving them each an inch of attention. I began to silently lip sync Enya’s part smiling at all of the men’s amused faces. The looks didn’t look malicious. Everyone around us was swaying themselves waiting for the real fun to start.
“Who can say where the road goes, where the day flows only time. Who can say where the road goes, where the day flows only time (SHAKE THAT-)
My mind was gone, captured by the beat of the music as everyone threw their hands up and shook their bodies giving their all to the music.
“GET CRUNK WITH IT, GET LOOSE WITH IT!” everyone sang shaking their hips and grinding against the partners. Karaku and Sekido kept their hands on hips grinding their hips on me when they could, while I had my hands on Aizetsu’s and Urogi’s cheeks smiling and laughing with them as they moved their bodies against my sides.
“SHAKE THAT ASS REAL FAST THEN DROP! SHAKE IT LIKE A SALTSHAKER! SHAKE IT LIKE A SALTSHAKER! SHAKE IT LIKE A SALTSHAKER!” people sang and shake it I did. I could feel my ass vibrating on command of the music digging into Karaku’s crotch.
“Fuck yes fucking shake it Yara!” the green dressed brother yelled behind. I let my hand move through my braids moving it to one side of my neck as I felt a pair of lips press into my neck from the man behind me. I told my mind to take note of it, but I found it hard from the hands moving over my body and beneath the top of my dress! I gasped realizing it was Sekido’s hand cupping one of my breasts and before I could attempt to push back, which would only get me blocked by Karaku, I feel the angry man’s tongue going down my throat. I realize my wrists are being held down by Urogi and Aizetsu, stopping me from pushing back against the man in front of me.
He's dominating my mouth, not letting my tongue get away from his as he explored every inch of my mouth.
“Sorry, Yara, but we had to see for ourselves what was so special about you!” Urogi said happily. I finally had the courage to bite the tongue that was invading me and Sekido leaned back with a growl.
“Naughty bitch bit me!” he snarled.
“Yes, Akaza was speaking so highly of you, I am sad to admit I was actually getting a little jealous.” Aizetsu told. What the fuck! Akaza… Oh damn these guys must be a part of the Kizuki.
“So, how’s about it Yara, want to play with us for a little bit? I promise you’ll enjoy every… inch of us.” Karaku purred, his tongue sliding up the shell of my ear. I stiffened heavily feeling that the grips on my wrists would not be loosened. Sekido wasn’t even going to wait fo a response because his hand came up to grip my throat as his face leaned in to mine to kiss me again.
But my feet acted fast, kicking him right in the groin.
“FUCK!” he snarled in pain as he was now caught up in the wave of dancing and being shoved into the crowd
I felt the grips on my wrists loosen and I used this time to move into the crowd and let the many shoulders push me about. I was looking for a way out of the crowd, the exit, and the four brother as a means to get away from them. I pushed my way from the crowd and pressed myself to the wall. I quickly grabbed my phone and texted fast.
Me: 911 (You shared your location)
Kyojuro: On my way! Find somewhere to lay low until I get there!
I could see Aizetsu coming from the crowd and hurried down the closest to me. I was looking for an emergency exit if anything, but I was luckily coming up on the front of the club. Where I could hide once out there, I didn’t know. The Unholy wasn’t a big place and it felt they would easily know I was in the lady’s restroom if I tried to hide there, and I didn’t need to get cornered there! Just as I was pushing myself out the door, I was immediately caught by someone I didn’t want to see.
“Yara! Wow your hair looks amazing!” he snapped catching my shoulders. I wanted to pull back, but he wouldn’t let me go.
“Please let me go, Akaza, I need to leave!” I said hurriedly looking over my shoulders. They could come at any minute! Okay, I couldn’t hide my fear through anger any longer. I was scared and I was scared shitless. I tore from Akaza’s hold and began to move down the sidewalk putting distance between me and the club. Akaza was speeding up behind me taking my hand.
“Hey woah what the fuck happened?” he yelled in panic. I needed to get out of here. I didn’t want his hand touching me. He’s one of them, they’re one of them! As I walked, a familiar shade of yellow was skipping in front of me.
“Yara, I found you!” Urogi said happily and I gasped as I saw red, blue and green appearing. I quickly back tracked and jumped behind Akaza.
“You stay the fuck away from me! All of you or I swear to God I’ll scream!” I threatened. Akaza looked at me then the four men who were walking up to him calmly and collectively.
“What the fuck did you do!” he snapped. Sekido just growled with annoyance.
“The cunt bit me and kicked me in my dick!” he snarled.
“Oh, calm down, Akaza, we were just trying to test her, to make sure she was being loyal to you and to the gang is all.” Karaku said with a purr.
“She attracts a lot of male attention whether she knows it or not. It’d be very upsetting if another guy tried to step in on what’s yours.” Aizetsu said with a pout.
“You’re all insane!” I snapped trying to step away from the group, but Akaza took my hand and wouldn’t let go as he held his other hand up.
“Okay can we all just calm the fuck down! Why the hell were you four out anyways when you were supposed to be… running errands?” he snarled. I could tell errands was code for something else. Sekido scoffed angrily.
“We earned. The club was our last errand. We saw your little toy here dancing like she’s single and couldn’t help our curiosity and thought we'd join in a dance!” he explained.
“The fuck is that supposed to mean! It seems like you wanted to do more than just dance!” I snapped still struggling from Akaza. He looked at me angrily noticing me pulling back.
“Will you please stop that!” he yelled before looking at the brothers. “Your business was not with her; you all should have left her alone!”
“Oh come on, you shared your last toy with us, we figured she was a new one to share with us!” Urogi told. My eyes widened.'
"Mother fucker." Akaza said shooting him a glare so dark, it almost caused me to miss the sound of tires screeching around the corner and now we all looked as I saw a black 2022 Toyota Tundra was jumping the curb of the sidewalk making us all jump back. I followed Akaza’s hand to the hem of his jacket and down to the back of his pants and the way he gripped the handle of his gun made my eyes pop as he pulled it from his waist band.
Gun! GUN! GUN! DANGER, DANGER, DANGER!
Popping out of the bed of the truck was Kyojuro and Sanemi, with pistols in their hands, all the while, Uzui’s window was down in the driver’s side, a very large gun in his hand that looked like it fired multiple rounds. Obanai’s body was sitting outside on the passenger window with two Glock pistols in his hands.
I looked at the four brothers to see guns in their hands pointed at the truck, and I felt my mind was ready to explode.
I noticed Kyojuro and Akaza’s guns were on each other, and I could tell they were waiting to take each other out, however I was in the line of fire.
I just wanted to dance and maybe fuck tonight. I wanted to have a wild and fun night and then go home and sleep the weekend away. Why was that so fucking hard!

Gwen's Bunny HRT - Month 1 (Part 1)
I look at my reflection for what feels like the hundredth time today, waffling on how to do it. All the other girls have already gone through all this, and compared to their one-month photos, I feel... Behind. Delilah had already started growing fur in some places, and Edith already had a little bit of tail growing in. Sure, it looked a little weird without any fur on it, but... I’ve got nothing there but soreness. Is it even worth celebrating? Like, “oh yay, my ears look longer if you squint and my teeth look a little sillier”.
I take a deep breath and dig my toes into my carpet, feeling pain flare up in them. It just started a couple days ago — maybe it would be better to wait until something came of it? Until walking on my toes didn’t hurt so bad, or even felt better than walking on my heels?
I feel a tiny impulse at the small of my back, my spine apparently doing its best to wiggle at its base. Am I... unconsciously wagging my tail? The soreness that comes with it matches what the other girls had talked about. I smile, showing my reflection my weird teeth and the pain subsides a little.
“Bunnies wag their tails when they’re upset,” Edith had told me once. It’s warming to feel how right she is, to feel like I actually belong, even for a second. It’s not that the other girls haven’t done a good job of making me think so; it’s just hard to see all of them so far along and then to look at myself.
I set my phone down and stare at myself for a while. I imagine the fur suddenly sprouting up all across my body, shiny and soft. I imagine my ears getting so tall they graze the doorway. I imagine my tail, tiny and fluffy, poking out just about the hem of my sweatpants. It makes me smile and laugh at myself, and I feel a bit of pride in my teeth. They’ll look better coupled with everything else, I think.
I hear my phone buzz, trying to avoid convincing myself it’s because my hearing has spontaneously improved. I laugh it off and check what it was.
raeraebun: Hey girl!! Today’s one month, right?? Where’s the update??
I smile and blush instinctively. Rae and I don’t chat that much, but every time we do it lifts my whole mood. She’s also dropped by my place a couple times because she “made too many brownies and just had to make a delivery”.
wen-kutesuli: Hey! Idk if I’m gonna do it today honestly lol
raeraebun: Aww, why not? i mean like do whatever you want obvi but. you okay?
I sigh. I know I can probably tell her, it’ll almost definitely be fine, and she probably has something great to say. But it doesn’t make it any easier to say it. I’m almost embarrassed to still feel the way that I do even after her and Edith’s constant preaching of “loving yourself wherever you are”.
wen-kutesuli: Yeah I’m okay lol. Just kinda
wen-kutesuli: Wish I had more to show, I guess?
Rae’s response comes quite literally instantly.
raeraebun: GWENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
raeraebun: okay
raeraebun: lemme show you something
When Rae comes back after a couple minutes of digging, she sends me a picture of some random girl with hair like her own, followed by five closeups of a pretty standard human ear.
raeraebun: so like
raeraebun: this was from january last year
raeraebun: Id been on hrt for like. a month and a half to the day
raeraebun: I had taken a picture of myself every day since starting my regimen
raeraebun: and didnt see anything until that picture when FINALLY
raeraebun: my ears had grown the tiniest little bit.
raeraebun: I didnt stop screaming about it all day lol ashley got so sick of it
raeraebun: and yk what happened next?
raeraebun: they stayed just like that for three more weeks LMAO
Rae has this way of making people smile and cry their eyes out at the same time.
raeraebun: so... be nice to yourself? its not gonna happen all at once, and thats ok. every little bit is worth, like
raeraebun: I dunno
raeraebun: a thousand parties
wen-kutesuli: That’s a lot of parties
raeraebun: and you earn every single one of them :)
I sit in stunned silence so pleased I don’t know what to do with myself. My body wants some kind of release, and I let it have one, laying face down and kicking my feet so quickly and so hard into the floor it probably upset the people below me.
raeraebun: you dont have to, but we all wanna celebrate with you :D
wen-kutesuli: Thank you 🩵 Maybe I’ll do it
raeraebun: YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
raeraebun: GO GWENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
