10 Anti LO Asks

(Note: All of these asks are before episode 206 (Season 2 finale) so some may be dated.) 1. Am I just dumb or do the lo fans who insist we "see" how powerful Persephone is are actually lying? Because sure we'vr see big trees and once or twice seen "wild" vegetation, but have we ever actually SEEN her use her powers? and no the AOW doesn't count since that wasn't her actually doing it willingly (such a dumb retcon). IDK it seems like we've seen more instances of  Hades using their powers all the time yet we've never actually seen the supposed "chosen one" Persephone once use her own.

2. It's so frustrating how there's no reflection on Rachel nor the fandom's part for how Eros is depicted. When he's around Persephone he starts acting more "feminine" and even gets design-wise to look more "feminine" with his posing, eyelashes, beauty marks, and slimed down with more androgynous clothes, but as soon as he's with Psyche he's depicted as much taller, muscular, and in darker more "manly" outfits with chiseled features. I don't even think it's intentional, but it's very hmm induing.

3. At the begging of LO RS made it seem like Persephone didn’t have many friends or that her friends were kinda just spies for Demeter so she kept them at arms length, where we’d see that Artemis is suppose to be her first “real friend” and I guess Eros too? But no this whole time she had dead flower nymphs that didn’t get named almost 200 episodes in; and after mentioning said dead flower Nymphs Persephone wants to watch Hades’ first meeting with herself where she was naked/he was drunk so they can have a laugh.

NGL I want RS to cover the Trojan War bc I want to see what absolutely stupid ideas she'd put into it but also I just know she'd make Helen hashtag Empowered™️ by wanting Paris and being complacent in the deaths of thousands and be weirdly anti Menelaus who is clearly the bad guy here but also she'd make sure Helen's "beauty" is in comparing her to Persephone because of course you can't have anyone be hotter than her. I can see it vividly and it's horrendous.

5. I mean idk making LO be 100 give or take episodes would have probably been for the better. Im not saying it couldnt be a bit longer than that, but she's basically restarted the whole story 200+ episodes in, so there's really no excuse to claim she HAD to have all these episodes when other popular webtoons got their stories done in a good way without such an excessive amount. IMHO A short but strong story is so much better than a dragged out, weak story like LO has turned into.

6. TBH I'm surprised LO hasn't done a "cancellation' plotline yet. I can see it now, Hades ranting the media is trying to ruin Persephone's reputation and trying to take away all her prospects and shaming her for the harmless crime of mass murder. Probably throw in some "it is misogyny to critique her" for good measure and with zero reflection as he's in his massive mansion as he gets rich off ongoing slave labor. I feel like just off her handling of Thanatos we'll get it eventually.

7. I was going to say why is there never any gay renderings of HxP only to remember than one MLM comic on Canvas that just rips off LO down exact plot points and the only major WLW version i've seen was a book so hyper violent towards Persephone (with female Hades?? loving to abuse her??) and hateful of Demeter it actually made me sick to my stomach. Anyway outlaw HxP retellings i've had ENOUGH 🗣

8. the fans claiming "rachel is giving persephone a CHOICE" which like for one, who says she has the authority? but even then she's still, you know, a fictional character, she doesnt have agency by the mere fact she's fiction, so at the very least it has to be written into her character to make choices within the narrative, but rachel doesnt even do that? stuff just HAPPENS to persephone and she doesnt react, she's just yanked along. rachel doesnt even write her to make choices, she just exists.

9. its funny rachel claims LO is some empowering feminist story when its like, even barring the clear fact its NOT, the "feminism" is basically the "more 👏🏽 female 👏🏽 CEOS 👏🏽"logic of not actually fixing old power structures and creating equality. the system doesnt need to change, it just needs to be more accessible, which doesnt actually fix anything. making persephone be another CEO doesnt make it suddenly feminist, she's just now profiting from an unfair system like the men already do.

10. People are calling Hades "Persephone's husband" 🤡 yes we all know how it will end but at this point he is merely a guy she knew for 3 weeks 10 years ago. Calling him husband is ridiculous.

Hello FMA fandom

I have a headcanon about Al that might turn out to be a little controversial that I’d like to share

1. I feel like Al would be asexual

2. I feel like Al and Mei would be the bestest of friends but I can’t see them getting together? I think it’s a wholesome ship, but I feel like Mei’s fawning would be too much for him once he’s back in his old body.

3. I think Al would have sensory overload issues and therefore would avoid too much physical contact with things. The textures of his clothes, his skin, his food; anything could potentially make him feel uneasy or uncomfortable.

4. He’d have an ESA (a cat of course) and I feel like he would give it some kind of silly name. I don’t think he’d be able to anywhere without it, unless he’s just visiting Ed/Winry.

Is it really so much for me to ask that I create stories that are as fun to watch unfold as, for example, Fullmetal Alchemist (Hiromu Arakawa), Attack on Titan (Hajime Isayama), The Starless Sea (Erin Morgenstern), Over the Garden Wall (Patrick McHale), The Unicorn Chronicles (Bruce Coville), and Demon Slayer (Koyoharu Gotouge), I will die a happy hooman.

The depth of world building, the intense breadth and diversity of characters, the power to help people out there remember the joy of a good story and revitalize the joy of living. Fictional worlds have always been a refuge of mine, and I adore the creators who gave me such rich characters and worlds that I can lose myself in. FMA in particular has gotten me through some of the hardest moments in my life, and consistently reminds me of the beauty in living. That love is NOT just romance. To help me accept myself and understand that we don’t all interact with the world in the same way.

I want to return the favor so, so badly.

Hi The Sheridan Tapes came out with a prologue to season three and I am simultaneously SO PUMPED for the next (LAST?!?!!!!??!) season, especially after all the character building of season two

But anyway I’m so happy that Anne Bonny is showing up and playing such an important role in the lore of TST because as a kid I LOVED Anne Bonny and even dressed up as her for Halloween one year. It’s fascinating and I’m still overjoyed that she’s being recognized and given attention as a historical figure.

Nothing is more cathartic for me than going back to the beginning of Brotherhood and truly seeing Edward grow older physically and emotionally.

Like, it’s done in a way that reminds me of how I feel when I rewatch the Harry Potter series, where the trio gets older naturally because the actors are also growing up. Then you restart it and suddenly these characters are just babies again and you want to squish their little faces?

Yeah, that’s me with Fullmetal. Holy shit.

And no, I don’t mean the famous little “oh haha Ed’s tall now” scene because that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, I’m talking about the rate at which he matures throughout the series.

Chapter 10. “Together Again.”

Summary: It’s been 6 months since Maeve was killed in front of Spencer. Bridgett had been there for him as a friend, but both of them can’t help but acknowledge the feelings they still have for one another.

Pairing: Spencer Reid x OC! Plus size character, Bridgett Mendez.

TW: Mentions of Maeve, a really bad science joke, mentions of drinking alcohol and being drunk, sexual related questions, making out, body image insecurity, sexual joke, eluding to sex.

“Black coffee, sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon stick.” Spencer says, walking up to Bridgett’s desk with a small cup in his hand.

Bridgett’s looks up from the folder her nose was buried in, a smile on her face. “Thank you, my hero.” She says, twisting the cap onto her highlighter and tossing it onto her desk, taking the cup from him. She takes a big gulp, feeling warm as soon as she swallows.

Spencer scoots his chair over to Bridgett’s desk, right next to her. “I heard we’re down JJ.” Spencer says, taking a sip from his cup.

“Yeah, Henry got a stomach bug and spread it to her and Will. Have kids, they said.” Bridgett jokes.  

“I thought you wanted kids?”

Bridgett laughs, taking another gulp of her coffee before scratching the back of his head softly. “You’re so cute when you don’t pick up on my sarcasm.” She teases.

Spencer admitted that he missed the physical aspect of their past relationship. It had been only six months since Maeve was murdered and the two of them had almost restarted their relationship, but not quite. Bridgett knew how emotionally damaging it was for Spencer to watch someone he loved romantically get shot right in front of him. He still needed time to heal but she didn’t want him to be a rebound for him.

“Spence?”

“Hmm?” He snaps out of his mind, looking back at Bridgett.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” Bridgett asks shyly.

Spencer smiles, taking a drink of his coffee. “Nothing. I was thinking about something funny.”

“Yeah? What?” She asks, trying to catch him in his lie.

Spencer gives her a long stare, trying to cook something up in his head. “What do you do with a sick chemist?”

Bridgett laughs to herself, preparing for this to be the worst joke Spencer has ever told in his life. “What?”

“If you can’t helium, and you can’t curium, then you might as well barium.”

Bridgett snorts, keeping tight lips to prevent coffee from spilling out of her mouth. “Why are you like this?” Bridgett laughs, shaking her head.

“Hey pretty boy, Hotch needs your brain.” Derek says, throwing his bag onto his desk.

Spencer gets up from the chair, taking one more sip of coffee before leaving it on Bridgett’s desk and walking away.

Bridgett feels Derek’s eyes on her, making her turn to look at him. “What’s wrong? Did I get coffee on my shirt?” She asks, looking down at her baby pink shirt because of course she would get dirty on the day she wears something light colored.

“No. You two still love each other, that’s all.” He shrugs, smirking to himself.

“Derek.” Bridgett sighs, leaning her head back against the back of her chair dramatically.

“What? It’s true! The way you two look at each other and you act like nothing has changed. We can all see it. You’re going to sit there and tell me you don’t still love him?”

“I’m always going to love him. But he just went through something traumatic. I’m not going to force him into something he’s not ready for.”

“Have you two talked about getting back together?”

“No. The past few weeks he’s come over to my apartment and we’ve just hung out as friends. Like we used to before we slept together for the first time. Just watching movies, eating junk food, talking about life. And then he talks about Maeve and I can see how much he truly loved her and… I don’t know.”

“But you know it’s always going to be you, right? Nobody else will ever compare to you for him.” Derek says, walking over to her desk, sitting on the bare bit of desk that was clear.

Bridgett shrugs, swirling her cinnamon stick around her mug. “You know, I think a lot about if I wouldn’t have left for a year, him and I would still be together.”

“That might be the case, but you know that you needed that for yourself.”

“Needed what for yourself?” Spencer asks, making Bridgett jump as he comes up behind her.

“Christ! I’m going to give you a goddamn cat bell. Sneaking up quiet as hell.” Bridgett glaring at him.

“Needed what for yourself?” Spencer repeats, his eyes flickering between Derek and Bridgett.

“I think I hear Garcia calling.” Derek says, clearing his throat and walking away.

Bridgett gives him a tight lipped smile, “Before you repeat yourself for a third time, we were just talking about my time in New York.”

“Oh. Are you going again?”

“No! We were just talking about how I needed time to myself in New York. Sorry to tell you, you’re stuck with me. I’m not going anywhere.” Bridgett smiles.

“Good. I’m glad.” Spencer says, taking his coffee mug back and going back to his desk across from Bridgett’s.

“Please? We haven’t had a celebratory girls night since you came back!” Penelope begs, following Bridgett around the office.  

“Garcia!” She whines. “It’s Friday. Friday nights are my me time, catch up on all of the episodes I missed on my show, and bubble bath nights. Plus it’s not a real girls night without JJ.”

“You can do it tomorrow! And you can have all day to yourself. We can make up our girls night out with JJ when she’s all better. I just miss my best friend .” Penelope dramatically rests her head on Bridgett’s shoulder, batting her lashes at her. “I’ll pay for your drinks.”

Bridgett sighs dramatically, laying her head on Penelope’s. “Fine. Girls night.” She says, caving in.

Penelope cheers, giving Bridgett a hug.

“I heard someone say girls night?” Derek says with a smile.

“Is someone wanting to tag along?” Penelope says. “You know you can always tag along.”

“Tag along where?” Spencer chimes in from his desk.

“Girls night.” Bridgett says, organizing her desk one last time.

“Am I allowed to come?” He says with a smile.

“Of course. It wouldn’t be girls night with our best guys around.” Penelope says.

“So it’s a double date!” Penelope says, walking arm and arm with Derek.

“Okay my turn!” Penelope says, taking a sip from the skinny straw. “Never have I ever, eaten someone else’s lunch from the fridge, Derek Morgan.” Penelope says with a glare over at Derek.

The whole table laughs, nobody taking a drink besides Derek.

“In my defense… I don’t have a defense, I just really like that bread Bridgett makes.” He says, laughing.

“I’m really surprised Garcia didn’t kill you. I thought I saw murder in her eyes when she asked every single person in the office if they touched her conchas.” Bridgett says, taking a drink from her glass.

“I did my share of apologizing. All I had to do was make her my mom’s homemade peach cobbler and all was forgiven.”

Penelope smiles, patting Derek’s cheek with her hand.

“Alright my turn. Never have I ever, gotten busy in a car.” Derek says.

“Oh come on, Derek! Never? Lies.” Bridgett calls out to Derek from across the table.

“It’s not! I swear on my mother’s life I’ve never had sex in a car.”

Bridgett slowly raises her glass back up to her mouth and taking a drink, not making any eye contact with her other team members. Out of the corner of her eye she sees Spencer take a sip from his club soda.

“Oh my god! First it was the public sex, then gotten a bedroom related injury, now you guys are having sex in a car? Who would have thought, pretty boy is kinky.” Derek jokes, patting Spencer on the back.

Bridgett laughs, shaking her head. “Let me tell you guys something, it’s the people you least expect it from that are the most kinky.” She smiles, taking another drink.

Spencer looks over at her, widening his eyes at her, his cheeks getting a little red. “Does this mean it’s my turn?”

“Yes, but I have one I’m dying to ask.” Penelope says.

“Okay, you can have my turn.” Spencer says, motioning over to her.

“Never have I ever filmed myself or my partner getting intimate.”

Spencer and Bridgett look at each other, both of them cracking up as they lock eyes.

“Are you two serious?” Penelope asks with a smirk on her face.

“Well, someone is going to have to carry me out of here by the time we finish this game if this is the type of questions we’re asking.” Bridgett says, downing the last bit of her drink.

“You got her?” Derek asks, helping Spencer take Bridgett up the stairs to his apartment.

“Yeah. She’s not that drunk, but I didn’t trust her to go up the stairs.” Spencer says, putting his arm around Bridgett.

“You are both so dramatic! I’m not that trashed. You’ve seen me more drunk than this at the Christmas party in 2009.” Bridgett jokes, leaning up against the wall, waiting for Spencer to unlock his door.

Derek laughs. “Alright. I’ll see you guys Monday morning.”

Spencer unlocks his door, letting Bridgett walk in first.

She takes her jacket off instantly, dropping it onto the back of Spencer’s couch.

“Do you want some water?” He asks.

“Yeah. Please.” Bridgett nods her head, walking over to his bookshelf to see if she could find any new books he had gotten since the last time she was over. She finds one on his desk, reading the description on the back before settling with that one.

A few seconds pass, Spencer walking back into the room with a glass of ice water, knowing it was the only way she would drink it.

She smiles at him warmly, walking over to his couch and plopping herself onto the cushion.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” Spencer asks, sitting next to her.

“Will you read to me?” Bridgett asks, handing him the book.

Spencer takes the book from her, “Wuthering Heights? You’ve never read it?”  

“I don’t read for fun Spencer.” Bridgett laughs. She grabs the blanket draped over the back of the couch and puts it over the both of them, scooting closer to him and leaning her head on his shoulder.

Spencer’s heart jumps from his chest, feeling her close to him again. He clears his throat and opens the book up to the first page. “1801, I have just returned from a visit to my landlord, the solidarity neighbor that I shall be troubled with…”

It didn't take long for Bridgett to find the peace in his voice making her fall asleep on him already. She could feel his fingers lightly touching her bare shoulder lightly, making her shiver against him. She laughs and rests her forehead into the crook of his neck.

“What?” He asks, stopping mid sentence.

“You’re tickling me.” She mutters against his skin.

Spencer laughs, kissing her forehead out of habit.

Bridgett picks her head up quickly, looking at him in the eyes. “Why did you do that?” She questions.

Spencer opens his mouth to speak, quickly closing it once he realizes he doesn’t have a response.

“No- shit- I didn’t mean to say it like that.”

“It’s okay. I know I shouldn’t have but…” He trails off, shrugging his shoulders.

“Kiss me. Please.” Bridgett says, bringing her fingers into his hair and bringing him close.

“Are you sure?”

Bridgett bites her lip, shaking her head. “No.” She says, sitting up from her position.

“Hey, hey. What’s wrong?”

“I know I shouldn’t do this.”

“Shouldn’t do what?” He asks.

“Want to make out with you on the damn couch.”

Spencer stays quiet, not sure if he should say what was on his mind or not, but deciding to anyway. “Why shouldn’t you want to?”

“Because we’ve been doing so well the past few months not being a couple and having sex ever 3 seconds. We’ve been doing well going back to being friends while you’re still grieving over… over Maeve. But it’s just, we’ve been doing so well being friends, that after tonight, where we were laughing and reminiscing about our past, it made me realize how good things were and how much I missed being your girlfriend. And I know you’re not ready for that yet, but I can’t help but want you to ju-,”

Spencer sits up quickly, his hand flying up to cup both sides of her face as he kisses her passionately. Bridgett’s mind takes a few seconds to register that they were kissing before her lips got the memo to join in on the kiss finally. Her hands start to unbutton the buttons to his button up shirt, pushing the red fabric off his shoulders and completely off his body. Spencer’s hands drop down to her waist, pushing her lightly to lay down on the couch. Their lips don’t move from each other’s as Spencer holds one of her thighs against his side. Everything about their kiss was desperate and passionate; the way his hands traveled up and down her hips and her thigh, the way Bridgett clung onto Spencer’s shoulders as they kissed. Spencer drops his head between Bridgett’s neck, sucking on her skin.

“Spence.” Bridgett whimpers, holding his head against her neck. She brings her hips up to grind her pants against his, moaning at the friction.

“Do you want me to keep going?” He asks, bringing her hips back down to the cushion.

Bridgett looks into his eyes, sighing deeply. “Yes. Please just touch me.” She begs, wrapping her legs around his waist.

Spencer sits up, grabbing Bridgett’s hips and pulling her back up and into his lap.

“Is this okay with you? All of this?” She asks, resting her hands on his chest.

“Yes it’s okay.” He smiles softly at her, going back into a kiss.

Both of their hands are busy undoing each other’s buttons of their shirts, Spencer getting hers done more quickly than her. It had been so long since they had been together sexually that it made Bridgett self conscious to be half naked in front of him again.

She feels his eyes look down her body, immediately grabbing his face to keep his head up to look at her.

“What?” Spencer questions.

“Nothing… just- I’m not comfortable right now with you looking.” She says, motioning down to her stomach.

“Bridgy, you know how much I love all of you, right? Even the parts you hate the most.”

“I know. It’s just been a while.” Bridgett laughs nervously, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.

Spencer’s fingers trail down Bridgett’s spine, making her sit up straight and shiver. She giggles, resting her forehead on his.

“I want you back, Bridge. I want you to be my girlfriend again.”

“Are you sure? You’re still grieving, Spence. I don’t want you to think you have to do this.”

“It’s always going to be you, Bridgett. I could have an endless amount of relationships, but I would always come back to you. You’re the love of my life.” Spencer lovingly looks into her eyes, taking in the sight of her. “I love you so much.”

“I love you more.” Bridgett says, going back in for a kiss.

“I can taste the alcohol on your mouth.” Spencer laughs, licking his lips.

“There’s something else I want you to taste.” Bridgett says with a devilish smirk.

Spencer laughs, his eyes squinting together as he does so. “You get more raunchy when you’re tipsy.”

“You like it.”

*** “I can’t anymore. I’m still buzzed and now my whole body is buzzing because of you.” Bridgett whines, laying flat on the floor.

Three times. They had gone at it three times in a span of two hours. For the better part of an hour, Spencer spent his time between Bridgett’s legs, licking, sucking and rubbing her clit over and over, drawing four mind blowing orgasms from her. He could eat her out like nobody’s business, and he was always more than happy to perform. And he never left her without making her cum at least a two time minimum.

“You kept the stuff I left here?” Bridgett asks with a smile, taking it from him.

“Yeah, your sleep stuff, an outfit for work, your makeup bag and everything else you kept in those two drawers in my dresser. It was still good stuff, I didn’t want to throw it out and I didn’t really want to give it back either.”

Bridgett smiles and quickly dresses herself. “I hope you know that this means that I’m never leaving you alone again. You’re stuck with me for life.” She says, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Spencer chuckles, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “And I hope you know that even if you tried, I would follow you to the ends of this earth to be with you.”

“I’ll hold you to that.” She responds, kissing his chin.

“The team is going to be thrilled we’re finally back together. Derek and Garcia can finally stop trying to get us back together every 6 seconds.”

Bridgett turns to look up at him, a question on her mind. “Do you think this was part of Garcia’s plan to get us back together? It was her idea for ‘girls night’, her idea to play the game.”

Spencer chuckles. “You know, it does all add up. And she can’t lie, do that’ll be question one on Monday.”

Reviewing Dramas I Have Watched Part 6

It’s been a while; I haven’t been able to watch a lot between school and just life. Not to mention the time I do have is spent doing buddy watches of kdramas I have already seen with my friends and family (On teleparty of course.) Again, here is my rating system:  1- Did not like, 2- Enjoyed but probably wouldn’t watch again, 3- Enjoyed and would watch some episodes again (or for movies may watch again), 4- Enjoyed and would watch again, 5- Loved

Melting Me Softly: 3/5

Melting Me Softly is about a guy and s girl who get cryogenically frozen for an experiment for what was meant to be only a day. Unfortunately, something happens, and the 24-hour experiment turns into 20 years. Now they have to deal with the changes of not only their family and friends but the world and society as a whole all while trying to uncover the darker secrets behind the experiments.

I gave this a 3 because while the earlier and later episodes were amazing and hilarious, the episodes in the middle of the season bored me. I am not much of a romance person unless it is either subtle or played out a specific way and the romance in this wasn’t my personal cup of tea so it just got boring for me. On its good episodes though, it was funny, sad, and cute. I really did like the dynamic between the two main characters and the romance is pretty good, just a little slower in the middle of the series. The relationships with the family members of the two were so cute and so sad, I loved the all the scenes where the mains got to interact with their families. I did feel awkward and weird about the second-lead, I’m not sure if he counts as a second lead but for lack of a better term that’s what I’m calling him. I love Choi Bo-Min as an actor, and it had nothing to do with his acting, just the whole situation was uncomfortable to me. That other guy who doesn’t even deserve to be the second-lead, if you watch it you know, the stalker one, I despise that man. Not once during the entire show did I like one of his scenes. That could be why I didn’t enjoy the middle scenes as much cause he found a way to worm his way into almost every scene and I would get so annoyed with him. This show does have its good points and bad points, so I would recommend it for those who like romance with a little bit of suspense and humor.

Welcome to Waikiki (season 1): 3/5

Welcome to Waikiki is about a group of friends who own and attempt to run a guesthouse together. When they find a baby left behind in one of their rooms, they have to find out how to take care of her and find her mother. This becomes even more complicated when the mother returns in tears saying she had no where else to go and didn’t want her baby to suffer. After hearing about her troubles, they decide to take the two in, in exchange for help working at the guesthouse. It follows the group and mother as they try to figure out how to take care of a baby, save their failing guesthouse, and achieve their own dreams, all while falling in love.

This show was hilarious, I watched it because everyone was talking about how funny it was and I agree. I especially love how it focused on all the characters instead of picking just one or two and focusing on them. I love when shows really work on all their characters and this show played it out so well. Not one was neglected and I didn’t feel like any of them were underdeveloped by the end, and Sol was super cute! I loved every single one of her scenes, she was so funny and sassy and I know she is just a baby but she is amazing. I watched some episodes on the tv and my sisters even made comments on how cute she was when they looked up at the TV, even though they didn’t watch it. I enjoyed the ending and how it all played out and tied together nicely. 

It was a delight for the first two thirds of the season. However, yet again that romance hit and the humor kinda dissipated to be replaced by the romance for a good few episodes. While it was admittedly cute, and I adored the romance scenes in the last few episodes, most romance scenes gave me such second-hand embarrassment I had to pause the show for a while and gain the courage to restart it. I did enjoy it but would probably only ever rewatch the first two thirds and maybe the last two or so episodes. It reminds me of Love With Flaws in the second-hand embarrassment romance scenes, so if you enjoyed that show, definitely give this one a chance. If you like romance, humor, and can handle the second-hand embarrassment stuff I highly recommend this one! It’s super cute and hilarious!

Missing Nine: 5/5

Missing Nine is about a girl who gets hired as a stylist for an arrogant and cold idol. On her first day, the plane they are all riding on to an event crashes on a vacant island. Only nine of them survive the crash and must now fight to survive and be found all while struggling with the betrayal of one of their friends who began to murder them one by one.

I really enjoyed this one, it was my perfect type of show; angst, suspense, subtle romance, crime, found family. The only issue I had with it was the unrealistic ending, I just don’t understand how it is possible and don’t know how I even personally feel about it. I am also probably one of the very few people who didn’t watch it for Chanyeol, don’t get me wrong I am an Exol too, but like really new Exol. You can skip this parenthesis if you want, it’s a kpop tangent. (I am a huge multistan. I love all the kpop groups I have listened to so far and have all the dalcomsoft games minus Gfriend even though I love them, cause I feel like it’s going to be a BTS superstar and get deleted so it’s not worth my time or efforts. Feel free to talk to me about any group and any member. If I don’t know them, I would be happy to find new ones so even if they are not well known or new, don’t feel worried about squealing to me about them, I would love to make kpop/kdrama loving friends.) I watched for Jung Kyung-ho and only when I started did I see Chanyeol which was cool to find. This also means POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT I wasn’t disappointed or biased after a certain episode like many of the people I saw raging in the Tvtime comments, not saying this in a bad way just stating that since I am neutral on certain events, I will be focusing on specifically the plot and how I felt about said plot versus how I feel about characters. SPOILER ALERT OVER

Overall I really loved this show, it was certainly an emotional roller coaster. I felt that it could have had a second season or a spin off to tie up that last little cliffhanger but I personally and satisfied with how the main issue wrapped up, other than that one weird ending scene. If you like angst, suspense, crime, and a little romance seen in an enemies to lover type of trope then I highly recommend this show. I gave it a 5 cause I personally loved it and am already planning on rewatching it with my friend. It does have a lot of blood and injuries so if you are sensitive to that, I wouldn’t recommend it to you.

Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault, Attempted R@pe (but it didn’t get far at all, just be careful)

Because this is my first life is about a woman (Ji-ho) who has to find a new place to live as her brother is getting married and her parents gave the son the apartment that they had bought for both their children. Because of many misunderstandings and coincidences, she accidentally rents a new apartment with a very strict and stoic man (Se-hee). Due to more problems, the two come to an agreement that they should get married since they both can gain something from it. The woman gains a place to stay and the man gains a tenant to help pay the bills, no more, no less.

Okay, so while I said that I didn’t like romance this is the exception, much like Shopping King Louie, it was just a really cute slow burn that I thoroughly enjoyed watching. Many people in the fandom, on TV time at least, were giving Se-hee a hard time and saying he was using and manipulating Ji-ho but I didn’t see it that way. She consented and never voiced anything other than that and the deal was for her to stay in the apartment since she needed a place to live and he needed someone to help pay bills. He didn’t ask for anything more, she was already following his schedule before the marriage issue and was just fine and accepting when they decided to get married. Neither had any expectations of falling in love, they just both needed something that marriage would help them gain and both consented to it. Later on, Se-hee even asked her if any advances were okay and backed off when they weren’t with no questions asked which I find admirable. Okay, rant over. It was cute and at times annoying cause you just want them to get together already. I laughed so hard in so many episodes and cried in a few too. The cat was so adorable and I love the interactions the main’s had with the little fluff. The best, and sometimes most painful, bonding moments between the main’s were the ones that dealt with the cat. I wasn’t too fond of the love triangle but was pleased with how it actually played out with the two women actually accepting each others presence instead of being horrible to each other for the most part. Highly recommend it to any romance lovers, and especially to those who are fans of shows like Shopping King Louie as mentioned above.

Flower boy next door: 3/5

Flower boy next door follows Dok-mi, a young woman with crippling social anxiety to the point she never leaves her apartment. From her window she watches her across the street male neighbor every day, taking note of his entire schedule. This all comes back to bite her when her neighbor’s brother comes to visit from Spain and catches her. What starts as an attempt to make her stop stalking her brother, quickly progresses into a mission to help her overcome her past, anxiety, and to get out of the house and adapt back to a healthy social life. As this mission goes on the two begins to realize they have feelings for each other, but Dok-mi’s own next-door neighbor has his own mission of getting her to stay inside and fall in love with him. He has been writing a web comic about her being a modern Rapunzel and has been in love with her for many years.

I enjoyed this one, I watched it cause the actor from Psychopath Diary starred in it and it was really cute. The romance was adorable, and the whole telepathy thing was a great addition that made me laugh. I love the whole adorable dork male with quiet cold girl trope so much. I didn’t like the whole stalking situation very much, it’s just kinda weird and was something that made me really uncomfortable during the first few episodes. I wasn’t a huge fan of the next-door neighbor, he just seemed like an enabler to me and I found myself angry through most of his scenes, as well as through most of Dok-mi’s childhood friend’s scenes. Other than those two characters, I enjoyed it well enough. I know some people can get annoyed by each characters flaws but I usually am good with morally grey characters as long as they learn from their mistakes. Some did in this show and there was a lot of character development and some didn’t which is realistic but makes me kind of sad. I recommend it to people who like a cute romance show with some angst and don’t mind morally grey characters.

Web-drama/Mini-series

Ghost Vros: 4/5

Trigger Warning: Suicide, Death, Some gore, Jump scares.

Ghost Vros follows two young men who are trying to start up a business where they hunt ghosts using virtual reality software. The main character is able to sense the ghost through his ears turning red and his friend programs the virtual realty to make sure the main has everything he needs to catch the ghosts.

I liked this one, it was fast like many web dramas are, but really interesting. I did attempt to translate it myself with my, admittedly little, Korean knowledge before finding the English subs (which you won’t be able to find now that Youtube has rudely removed community subs, unless it’s uploaded somewhere else. If someone finds it please let me know.) I was always engaged during the show and wasn’t bored at any point. It did have some confusing points and I wish we got more backstory as there was mentions of some interesting things that was never explored further, but it is a web drama, so that is more than likely too much to ask for. Recommend to anyone who enjoys a quick comedy ghost story.

 Cats Taste and Cat Bartender: 5/5

Cat’s Taste and Cat Bartender follow three cat gods who run a bar at night to make money for their injured owner. At this bar, they give upset humans cocktails which enable them to either posses said human or go into a dream world, this isn’t really clear, and correct the issue in exchange for items the cats find interesting on top of the alcohol cost.

This show was so cute, I absolutely loved and couldn’t stop smiling. I got the first season, Cat’s Taste, on my youtube recommend and decided to watch it since I was bored. I am so glad I did, I got super excited when I saw that there is a second season as well and spent forever trying to hunt it down before a kind person on MyDramaList put a link to the English subs in a comment (if anyone needs it, I will be happy to send it.) Both seasons were amazing, and I am hoping for a season three as the ending looks like it might be set up for one. The way they showed the bartending moves was so pretty and satisfying and I liked how all three cats got to show their moves instead of just the one.  I don’t like alcohol, have tried many kinds many times to but just don’t, however this show makes me want to drink the mixed drinks even though I know I would hate the taste.

Also, is it just me or does Ms. Hana remind anyone of Johnny from NCT? I don’t know if she looks like him or what, sometimes someone reminds me of someone else and the two look nothing alike. Don’t know what that’s all about but let me know because I could not shake the feeling that she reminded me of Mr. Johnny from Chicago. Anyway, tangent aside, I highly recommend to someone who like a quick but cute drama.

Beautiful Vampire: 3/5

Beautiful Vampire is about a female vampire who tries to avoid people due to her nature, but has all that shattered when she runs into her landlady’s son one night and begins to fall in love.

This movie was pretty good, but a little confusing. I couldn’t even write a proper plot explanation cause I was just so confused. I honestly felt like a fever dream, though a relatively interesting fever dream. I wish we had more information and backstory cause it just kinda felt like a rollercoaster ride of pining. It ended okay; I mean I was bored at the time, so it was something to do. If I am bored in the future, I might watch it again. I agree with most on TvTime when they say, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good, it was just something to do. I feel like the story line needed more work done and that it ended too fast and progressed in such a way that it was hard to follow. If you are bored or have nothing to do, give it a try, you might like it more than I did.

Take My Brother Away is based on a web comic about two siblings living with their alcoholic, debtor father in China, after their mom filed for a divorce and left. It follows the two as they go to school, work, and try to live a normal life. The sister hates her brother for being lazy and not being able to help her get what she wants, and the brother gets annoyed at the sister for always getting violent with him and nagging him.

I loved this one, it was really interesting to see the dynamic between the family. I felt that the brother should have been given more credit in the beginning for all he does for his sister and I felt really sorry for the sister because she just wanted to be like the other students who could afford to read web comics or go on trips. Some episodes were hilarious, some were heartbreaking, some were admittedly annoying, some gave me secondhand embarrassment. I just love it all, the only reason I give it a three is because I wouldn’t watch all 50 episodes again, I loved it but some were more on the boring side like filler episodes and I just, don’t think I’ll ever watch the whole series again. I can defiantly say however, I will probably watch most of the episodes again. I enjoyed the ending though it was admittedly on the strange side, and felt it was wrapped up nicely. There was a lot of character development too which is always great. I recommend this to those who enjoy some dysfunctional family humor and some angst and who are able to commit to long seasons.

Eddie sat curled in the corner of the couch, a glass of wine curled between his fingers. He stared at the phone in his other hand as though it offended 6 lines of his lineage. Well, no, like it had offended 6 of his closest friends. He kept trying to type out witty responses, but after looking at the profile attached to the laundry list of degrading comments, it was clear that the user was... young. Very young. Like, younger than the T&C's young but, come to think of it, he wasn't sure they'd mentioned an age. But after an hour of comment after comment on his videos, the latest series being him teaching Richie how to play piano (despite how rusty his skill set had been) and Richie teaching him how to play guitar (even if most of those videos were cut short because Eddie couldn't keep his hands to himself). Most people thought it was cute.

By the time Richie came out of the bedroom, he was in the worst mood. "What it do, baby boo?" he said, dropping into the couch beside him and wrapping his arm around Eddie’s back. No response. Dejected, Richie leaned in closer and tried again. "What's the hap, cap?" He nudged Eddie’s cheek with his nose, finally startling him into reality with a high pitched hum. "I said, What's the tea, sweet pea?" Eddie crinkled his nose and shook his head, dismissing yet another nickname. "Do you not love me anymore?" he laughed, knowing that clearly wasn't the case, but something was definitely off. "Eds, what's up?" His eyes searched Eddie's for a moment before the notification noise for Tik Tok went off. Richie snatched the phone and opened it, frowning at Eddie’s notifications.

"Give it back. It's nothing. It's-"

Eyes wide, Richie fought down the decades old urge to flee. Instead, he hissed out, "Christ, babe. Does this happen a lot?"

Eddie shrugged. He supposed it happened fairly often. They were gay and happy and unapologetic and rubbing their new love in the face of millions of followers. It made sense, to an extent. This particular batch was just a lot.

Shaking his head, Richie tugged Eddie up by the hand. "No more phone,” he said, guiding him up the hallway toward their bedroom.  Eddie made an exaggerated reach for it and Richie, instead leaned over, sweeping him into a fireman’s carry.  “No more phone.”  He shoved the device down into his pocket before slapping Eddie’s ass and eliciting a yelp in response.

“Put me down, jackass.  I’m a grown man.  I can wa-”

“Grown is an exaggerated term, toots,” he joked, navigating the hall with ease, despite his fiance kicking his feet and pounding his fists, calling him all sorts of creative names that thirteen year old never could have come up with.  He tossed Eddie down on the bed and pounced on him.  “I don’t know if you remember, but we literally bullied a space oddity to death.  I think we are uniquely qualified for a response to this little shithead.”

With his hands on either side of Richie’s neck and his bony knees dug in just above his hips, he dumped Richie on to his side.  “I think that it’s a little kid and it’s not worth, I don’t know, screaming at him in the middle of a Chinese restaurant.”

Feigning offense, Richie whimpered “That was ONE time, and,” he pushed his glasses back up onto his nose, adding “AND that’s something I only reserve for fans when I’m under emotional duress.  This wretched little crotch goblin is clearly not a fan of either of ours so an emotional outburst is far above them.”

Eddie closed his eyes and shook his head, pulling Richie in for a kiss.  “I love you, but just let it go.  It’s not worth it.”

“You’re upset, babe,” he said, landing on the one nickname that Eddie never fought him on because he was too busy fighting off the butterflies swarming in his belly when he said it to actually argue.  “That means it’s worth it to me.”  The corner of his mouth twitched up into a smile seeing Eddie’s resolve falter.  “You’re worth it all.”

The next morning, the video Eddie posted didn’t feature him at all.  Instead, it was five of 69LonnyTheLiger420′s least creative jabs, mainly mentioning their ages and their sexuality, floating around Richie’s head as he sat at the keyboard in the room that belonged to Eddie months and months of quarantine prior.  “You’re prob’ly just a kid in middle school and I don’t wanna fight a kid in middle school,” he crooned, accompanying himself with easy chords.  “Instead of fighting kids in middle school,” he leaned into the camera like he had a secret, then smiled.  “I’m gonna fuck your mom!  I’m gonna fuck your mom.  I’m gonna fuck your mom.”  He bopped back and forth, looking slightly reminiscent of a character from Peanuts.  “Don’t be such a saddie ‘cuz you got a new Daddy,” he added with a cheeky wink, “I’ll help you find a suit to prom.”  He dragged his middle finger up the keys dramatically in a fairly effective glissando.  “But, fuck with me and I will fuck your mom.”  He raised his eyebrows and gave a little half-hearted salute. 

Eddie swung the door open, then leaned against the doorframe looking at his fiance.  “Please don’t go the Burnham route.  I’m already sick of the people who compare you to Mulaney.”

“Why?  They’re good guys.  I don’t min-”

With a pointed stare, Eddie folded his arms.  “But you’re Richie Tozier.  You’re funny on your own.  You don’t need anyone else’s schtick.”  

Richie batted his eyes and smiled through pursed lips.  “You think I’m funny?” he cooed.  He may have played it up for Eddie’s consumption, but it still made him flutter when he actually admitted it.

Sticking his hand out and grabbing his phone to edit the video, “Come on, they put the final season of Schitt’s Creek up early so I am down for a rewatch,” he called from the hallway.  “At least I didn’t make you propose to yourself.  I love Patrick and all, but-”

”I proposed to you!  Twice!” he said, still blushing as he stood from the tiny collapsible piano bench.  “And does that mean you think you’re Patrick in this equation?  Because, baby,” he said, finally bounding into the living room, “apart from my eyebrow game, the kinship to the drinking of all wines, your startlingly similar boring fashion and comparative petite-ness,” Richie wagged his finger then swiped the remote from under the TV, “you are judgy, neurotic and,” he added quickly, “simply the best.”  He plopped down next to Eddie and wrapped him in his arms, kissing his neck.  “You are 100% the David here.”

They settled in for their binge watching.  Eddie’s phone dinged a few times, notifying them that the Losers were on the case, now.  Bill and Mike responded with a video of their own using the Pas de Deux from Us sporting matching unimpressed looks as they both tossed rocks from their garden idly in time with the music with the caption “Sticks and stones...”  It was basically nonthreatening, if maybe a little ominous, unless anyone seeing the video knew the Losers and their history with bullies, which they surely doubted.  A duet from Bev and Ben, flatly responding Beep Beep came next.  Finally, Stan’s response was of himself and Patty on the couch.  She was looking at her phone confused, Richie’s song audible in the background, finishing the loop and restarting.  “I think at this point the Mom jokes should be retired, Rich.  Eddie’s going to start getting jealous if all these little assholes start calling you Daddy, too,” he said, smirking at the screen as Patty chastised him from off-camera.  

Richie smiled, watching the responses over Eddie’s shoulder between episodes.  Even though momentary clips of the Losers were nice- it was better than nothing- Eddie really fucking missed them.  At least he knew that they’d always have his back.

I realize there's something wrong the moment I find myself opening the door to my old apartment in Boston. As far as I remember, I moved to Montreal and am living with my best friend Anna... Or was it just a dream? I wouldn't be surprised, I've been dreaming on moving to Canada for a while now. I enter the living room and drop my bag on the couch, heading to my room but a noise stops me. No, not a noise. A moan. A woman's moan. I live with my boyfriend, Thomas, and as far as I know, we don't share the apartment with another girl. My heart fasten with every step I take until I'm facing the white door that leads to my room. Our room. "Faster, Tommy" I hear the girl say and my boyfriend groans, making my skin shiver "Yes just like that" "God you're so hot, baby" Thomas' voice is like a fist to my stomach and the tears start rolling down my face. I reply saying I need to ask Anna if she wants to come and lock the screen again, leaving my bed and going to Anna's room. "Good morning, sunshine" I sing and my friend groans, sitting on one of the benches by the marble island in the middle of the kitchen. “I’m not feeling sunshiny today. Handing her an Aspirin and a cup of water, I go back to the stove and turn it down, taking the pan to the island. Anna takes the pill and sighs, looking at the food. "Is this a dream?" my best friend asks when I put a plate in front of her and lets out a small moan when she takes the first bite "Honestly, if I had known you could cook like this, I would've invited you to move in with me way earlier" "Oh, don't get to used to it. My cooking knowledge is resumed to spaghetti, lasagna and burgers" "Who said we need more than that to survive?" Anna looks at me with an offended look making me laugh. We're half way through our meal until I decided to tell her about the barbecue. "So Logan and the other boys are hosting a barbecue today and they want us to come. It'll be just us, them, Tyler's girlfriend and that other guy they were telling us about yesterday. You in?" "As long as Logan keeps his alcohol to himself, I see no problem" she replies and I can't hold back my laugh. "Hey you're the one who suggested you guys should see who could get more shots in less time" "I never thought he'd say yes! That guy is crazy!" she snaps back and I laugh even harder. "Okay so we're going?" "Yeah, I guess so..." "Cool, I'll let him know then" * "What's up?" Anna asks as we're getting ready to leave. She's in my room, laying down on my bed as I finish putting some make up on. I'm wearing a long sleeved shirt with a jeans skirt and snickers since the weather gods decided to send a chill night to break the living hell temperatures of the day. Me and An spent the entire day laying on the floor and drinking an absurd amount of water while watching the latest episodes from The 100. "What?" I ask and look at her through the mirror. "You have a worried look on your face. What's wrong?" "Nothing... I just have a weird feeling that I should know something but I don't" I reply and focus on applying my mascara. "You're weird, Y/N. Are all americans like this?" "Hey!" I throw a pillow at her, making her laugh. As I finish everything and grab the beer packs we're taking, we're all settle to go. On our way to go, I open my Instagram and start scrolling through my feed - which is the most diverse thing in the world. It’s the perfect balance of hockey, singers, food, friends and family. I look at some of the posts before heading to the Story part. I slide through a couple until one catches my attention. It’s the same bar I was yesterday and I can see Anna in her white and red dress in the corner. I check the user and my heart skips a beat when I realize who it is. Pierre-Luc Dubois, one of the few hockey players I follow on Instagram. He plays centre for the Columbus Blue Jackets, my ex's home team, and my heart aches a little when a memory gets me. "Hey, I just saw you follow PLD on Instagram" Thomas' voice reaches me before he appears on our room. "Yeah, I've been following him for a while now, Tom" I say and go back folding the clean clothes. They're all assholes" my boyfriend says before storming out of our apartment, leaving me to try and understand what the hell just happened. I never stopped following Pierre's profile, but that was never needed since I caught Thomas in bed with another girl just two weeks after his little scene. That was three months ago and now I was living in Montreal with my best friend, trying to rebuild my life after what he did to me. I look at Pierre's story again and can't help the weird feeling that takes over my body. I knew he was French-Canadian, but I definitely did not know he lived in Montreal during the off season. I guess I never took the time to check on any player's personal lives. I mean, expect for Mitch Marner's but that's just because I really wish we were best friends but anyways. "Hey, you're on Pierre-Luc Dubois' Insta Story" I says and Anna almost throws the car out of the road. "I'M WHAT?!" Definitely should've waited until we got to the house. "Yeah, he was at the same bar as we yesterday and posted a photo of the dance floor. You appeared in the corner" "Wait... You're telling me that that fucking greek god was at the same bar as we and none of us saw it? Are you kidding me?" she says and the annoyance in her voice makes me laugh. "Yep, that's what I'm saying. What are the odds?" "I mean, they're high since his parents live here, but still.. We weren't even at the best bar of the city" "Maybe he is low key and was trying to avoid the crowds" "Yeah, probably" she agrees and changes focus. I observe the streets, filled with big houses with even bigger yards. "I guess Pierre is not the only rich who prefers underground bars..." I comment and Anna snorts, looking at the mansions. “Should’ve guessed he had money when you told me the neighborhood we were heading to, but damn” Anna says and all I can do is nod in agreement.

I was worried we would be late, but when we get to the house, Tyler and his girlfriend, Kate, are the only ones waiting for us. "Hey, guys" Ty greets us and takes the beer packs from me "Logan went to buy more beer, Jesse backed down and Luc is late as always" he leads the path to the backyard and I have to keep myself from dropping my jaw. The house is huge but the backyard is unbelievable. There's a deck where the grill is, a pool with a pool house and a soccer court. "This is my girlfriend Kate. Kate, these are the girls we told you about, Anna and Y/N" "Hi!" the curly haired and green eyed girl says and we down by her side. A couple of minutes go by and we're all getting along pretty well until Anna looks at her phone and sees that it's dying. "I think i have a charger in the car, I'll be right back" She leaves and only two minutes later my phone pings. A: don't freak out and act normal but i just bumped into logan outside Y/N: so what? A: pierre is with him My eyes go wild and before I can process what I just read, Logan's voice reaches me. “Look who I just found outside!” I look up asking God for Anna to be messing with me, but she's not. Pierre-Luc fucking Dubois is standing between Logan and my best friend, how's acting like there's nothing wrong. I try my best to do the same and I guess it worked since no one is looking at me with funny looks. "Luc, this is Y/N and Y/N, this is Luc" Tyler introduces us and Pierre shakes my hand with a small smile. "Cool, now you two know each other. Can we eat? I'm starving!" Logan says heading to the grill. “We’ve known each other for less than a day and I’ve already noticed that’s a constant mood of yours” Anna snaps back following him with Pierre right after her, leaving me, Kate and Tyler behind. "You look like you just saw a ghost" Tyler says getting my attention. "I'm just thinking why none of you bothered to tell me that your friend looked like that" I snap back, making Kate laugh. I decide not to mention the fact that I'm a hockey fan and know the NHL player that has just walked past us. "Nah, the minute he opens his mouth you'll see he's a dork" Kate says and heads to the area where the rest is. I follow her with Tyler right by my side and asking God to help me out here.

-I have six siblings, they're a lot to keep up with, I'll give you a quick rundown for no reason. (In order of oldest to youngest:)

1. Randy is 25. He's a June Cancer. There's not much else to say.

2. Sierra is 24. She's a July Cancer. Again, there is nothing more to say.

3. Dustin is 22, he's a September Virgo. He's okay I guess. I don't generally like male Virgo's. They tend to be assholes.

4. Matt is 16, and is a February Aquarius. Sounds yucky, I know. He's actually my favorite sibling.

5. Faith is 8, and much like Randy, is a June Cancer. She's a little bit *much*.

6. And last but most certainly not least, Olivia. Olivia is a February Aquarius like Matt. She's a drama queen and isn't afraid to show it.

Let's talk cats.

As I previously stated, I have two cats. Ebby is a black cat, she's three. She has feline herpes and leukemia, but doesn't let it stop her from trying to fight any and every cat she comes across. She's a bit of an asshole, she talks back, I swear.

And Dorian? Dori is eight weeks old, so he's a bit of a handful. He's VERY energetic, and is petrified of Ebby, as he should be. He screams at you and will bite your feet if you don't pay attention to him for more than five minutes.

As for other weird things, I have a bit of an interesting job. I work for a large general store corporation, the "general" should've given you a hint as to which one. I either work 10 hours, or I work 40. There's almost no in-between. I've been with the company for a little over two years.

Am I missing anything else? I also have two goats- but they live at my mom's. One was actually just born a few days ago, his name is Finn. My other goat's name is Corona (yes, like the virus, because she was born at the beginning of the pandemic last year.) We share a birthday. Don't wanna talk about how coincidental and weird it is.

I lean left politically and have Communist beliefs, I won't lie. I absolutely despise the government and the military.

As far as mental health goes, I'm big on put yourself first. Physically and mentally. I suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder. My mind is but what is left of a poorly-built home after a tornado. Some foundation is left, little to none, and there is random pipes that have water running out of them all over the place.

I'm really not sure what I'm forgetting. If I remember, I'll leave it in a note or make an edited section of this post. Anyways, Dori calls (he's literally biting my fucking leg), so have a great day, or night. :)

I completely forgot about my interests, which is weird. Like I said, I have ADHD, so. I watch all sorts of different things on different platforms. I have Hulu, Disney+, Roku and Netflix so I have a lot of options. I like crime shows, like Criminal Minds and NCIS. I also like anime, but I'm not delved into it like a lot of people are. I've seen two out of four seasons of Attack on Titan, I actually just restarted it because Hulu has all four seasons. I also like stupid mindless shows, like New Girl, that doesn't make me interesting. But, it's something lmfao. I also enjoy puzzles. I'm like mentally an old woman and a child at the same time. It makes no sense to me either, so. I also enjoy cooking, and cooking shows. I love YouTubers like Binging With Babish and Joshua Weismann, and I also watch the Try Guys a lot, Keith is my favorite, don't tell the others. Anyways, that might be it?

Camp Camp - I almost forgot to mention this one! I started watching it when there was I think only 3 episodes of season 1, so back in 2016, and I’ve loved it since then! I guess this summer’s season couldn’t happen cause of covid.... But I’m still excited for when/if it does eventually come out!

We Bare Bears - I’ve seen the first 2 seasons, maybe some of the third I can’t remember, I watched it when it first came out but I haven’t watched it in a while, so I would probably need to rewatch a bunch of it (I did rewatch I think the first season sometime this year? But it was while working on school projects so I wasn’t giving it my full attention), apparently there’s also a movie now???

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic - I was huge into the brony fandom from roughly 2013ish-2017ish, I’ve seen up to season 8 and a few episodes of season 9, and the 4 equestria girls movies, and the mlp movie; I probably know seasons 1 - 4 the most, maybe a little of 5, 6 and 7 are kinda fuzzy but I’ve seen them, 8 I watched over quarantine (since it’d been a few years since I had watched any of it, I also rewatched bits of 5-7) as well as I think the first episode or so of season 9, but I don’t remember them too well. I watched the movie (the pony one, not eqg) when it came out in theaters, and not too long after that I drifted away from the mlp fandom (tbh I was drifting a little bit before it came out, but I knew I had to stick in there at least until it came out since I had been waiting for so long for it). The equestria girls movies, I saw them all when they first came out (I even saw rainbow rocks in the theater). I think there’s like, half hour shorts or episodes or something?? That’s in the eqg universe?? But I don’t think I’ve seen any of them, and if I have it was probably a really early one a long time ago because I haven’t really kept up with anything after Legend of Everfree came out

Animaniacs reboot - I’ve seen the first 5 episodes and it’s nice!

Well I’ve seen maybe a dozen or so episodes of the first season but it was a while ago so I’d have/want to start over probably

Rise - ugh I miss this show, I started watching it after/around when the 3rd episode came out (end of March 2018?), and I don’t think I’ve watched any of it since it ended (mid may 2018) cause its not on any streaming services anymore :/ at least not that I know of but I loved it and would love to rewatch it

Andi Mack - I’d heard it was good but hadn’t watched it after it ended (early august 2019 I think I watched it), haven’t rewatched it since then but it was decent, I mainly watched it cause I had seen clips of gay but yknow it was alright

Sex Education - watched 1st season sometime in 2019, when rewatched it/watched season 2 when it came out January 2020, this is like WAY more mature than like anything on this list but like it has an interesting story

If this comes across your dashboard, just ignore it. I’m stressing out but it’s 4am and everyone I could normally talk to is sleeping, so I’m basically using this as a digital venting session/journal entry because it’s easier than digging out all my actual journaling stuff.

I don’t know what’s going on with me tonight but I’m feeling very off. I’m feeling an intense urge to cry like I haven’t felt in years despite nothing of importance happening. And not like “aww I’m a little sad” but like “I want to sob like the love of my life just died” cry. The ugly, splotchy face, runny nose, can’t catch your breath kind of crying session that dominated my childhood. (I had a very good childhood- I was just hella dramatic and still am. I was never a weeper, I was an all out crier)

My sleep schedule has been fucked up for like the 300th time this year where I am wide awake all night and sleeping all day, or at least some variation of that. I’m so tired all the time but there have been more nights this year than any other year in recent memory that I’ve struggled this much with sleep. I used to be out almost as soon as my head hit the pillow and now it’s not uncommon for me to be wide awake at 8am having not gone to sleep at all. And I’m sure not seeing a decent amount of sunshine isn’t helping, but once I finally manage to pass out, I’m out. It’s not always restful, but it’s better than no sleep at all.

I’m struggling to focus on anything for a decent length of time- I’ve bought an ~obscene~ number of books, started half a dozen of them and none of them are holding my interest. I used to be able to fly through 800 page books in under 2 days and now I can’t even read a 472 page book in 3 weeks. I’ve read some fan fiction to see if that will help my reading slump but it’s been touch and go on those too.

I’ve tried watching tv and with the exception of the few shows I watch at night with my mother, I’ve been unable to get through any new or currently started shows. I restarted Rizzoli & Isles and haven’t been able to make it through the first season of a whopping 10 episodes. I’m beyond behind on Doctor Who, I lost interest in my favorite show of all time Buffy the Vampire Slayer, stopped Angel and haven’t been able to get through episode 2 of The Queen’s Gambit. Even picking a tv show has been hard. I was never good at making simple decisions before but now I’m hopeless.

The only movies I’ve watched lately are with my mom or the kids movies I watch with my friend’s son that I nanny for part time. He’s a great kid and I live him like he was my own, but I can’t watch The Addams Family one more time. It’s great but damn kid pick one of the other 50,000 available options.

I scroll through social media a lot but even that bores me. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, tumblr, tiktok, Snapchat- none hold my attention for very long. Except maybe tiktok because I’m pretty sure it’s digital crack but sometimes even it bores me.

I’ve been awful about going to the gym. I used to go 4-6 times a week and lately it’s been once a week and only because I pay for a group session with a trainer. It’s literally me and 1-3 other women depending on the day. And I can feel myself losing endurance, muscle and strength.

We aren’t going home for Christmas and while I absolutely understand why, I’m incredibly devastated that I won’t see my sisters, their families and my extended family this year. Sure I saw my one sister and her family in June but there’s something about going home for Christmas that is always extra special to me. We’re (my parents, brother and I) are going to miss out on my nephew’s second Christmas and the first one he’ll be able to really enjoy. He was 4 weeks at his first Christmas so he basically slept the whole time. We already missed his first birthday and while we’ve FaceTimed a bunch, it’s not the same.

And I was really hoping to see my grandpa, but he’s 91 and I could never forgive myself if I exposed him to covid. But I’m also scared about the very real possibility of never getting to see him again. His wife, my grandmother died 2 years ago and if I had known that the last time I saw her was the last time, I would’ve hugged her a little tighter and told her how much I love her. I miss her every day. I catch myself still calling the house “their home” or “grandma and grandpa’s”. Calling it “grandpa’s” still feels foreign to me. The idea that I’ll be missing Christmas with my dad’s family for the first time in my life is not sitting well with me.

My head gets it- there’s a fucking pandemic raging and traveling is ill advised but my heart doesn’t care, as melodramatic as it sounds. It’s like my body wants to go home to my hometown and back to where I grew up like it’s somehow going to be a source of comfort. Even though it’s not the same as it was when I lived there. I moved away 5 years ago and it kept on growing and changing despite my naïve belief it would stay the same.

So basically I’m feeling incredibly nostalgic and stressed. My anxiety is raging and I’m pretty sure the antidepressant my psychiatrist prescribed me isn’t doing much. I’m not having dark thoughts like I was in the spring when I first started seeing him, but I still don’t feel like myself. I’m also unemployed which is definitely not helping matters. I have savings and live with family but that’s not a long term solution. But my family is all high risk for covid and there aren’t many jobs around me right now that a) pay enough and b) can limit exposure.

If it weren’t wildly inappropriate I’d drive myself to my friend’s house right now and go snuggle his dog and/or cat right now, because honestly I feel like that would help. But I’ll wait until the morning when he’s at work so I don’t scare the shit out of him. Full disclosure if you’ve actually been reading this and made it this far- I’ve been given a key and explicit permission to go to his house and squeeze his pets. Tomorrow I might actually take him up on the offer. I may even bring the dog back to my place, which again, I’ve been given permission to do.

Adult friendships are weird y’all. My friends and I all have keys or security codes to each other’s homes and using them happens on a more frequent basis than I would’ve anticipated. My house has become the Friday night landing zone for after work (for them) drinks, relaxation and occasionally dinner. Which is so foreign to me because for the last couple years all my friends lived in other cities and/or states, so actually being even somewhat social again has been jarring. Between not having friends nearby and the damn pandemic it’s been really really fucking weird.

I’m sure the pandemic is a major reason I’m feeling so out of sorts, but it’s not going away any time soon and I feel like I need to figure out some of my shit or at least find some healthy ways of coping to survive. Not anything crazy- I’m not suicidal- I’m just super dramatic and also realize that I don’t want my anxiety and depression to keep controlling me like it feels like it has been. I’m big on needing to feel like I’m in control even the littlest bit, so this whole situation is making me feel very unbalanced and I’m not a fan.

And now that I’ve at least written this out I’m actually feeling somewhat better. The stress is still here but it doesn’t feel as overwhelming as it did earlier. It helped I cried while writing about my grandmother. One day I hope I won’t get overly emotional when thinking about or talking about her, but I’m ok with that being not today.

It’s kinda cliché but the whole “it’s ok to not be ok” mantra is really accurate for me right now. I’m sure I’m not the only person in the world feeling overwhelmed right now with everything going on and I certainly won’t be the last.

Welp, Kane and Mou hooked me again - nothing new there.

DCL I still love and it is quite upsetting that I didn't own him this season when he was getting all his points and did own him for a strand of just straight blanks and nothingness since the restart. Oh well. I'm sure this is not the last of DCL in my team, and I will look forward to owning him next year. If anything, maybe this barren spell is a blessing in disguise as it may keep his price down a bit and prevent him from having much preseason buzz...

As shouted on the pod, it seems like its a nice time to reunite with old friends. Benteke picks himself, love him so much and maybe he bangs in the revenge game. Just a fun punt.

Bob has been pretty fucking bad for FPL but I love him and haven't owned him all season. I can stomach a few blanks from the lad, but at least I don't have Kane anymore. It's probably not a good sign for my rank that I'm using the tv guide as a significant factor in my decision making process but hey, whatever brooo. I am definitely worried a bit about him starting against Burnley but he did just rest against Villa so maybe he'll be good to go for the duration. Another old friend and someone who I get a lot of xJOY from watching - there is nothing that I've seen from him that leads me to believe he'll get in the points, and I don't think there is some hidden gem here for the run in by any stretch, but I like him so I'm getting him. Basically I figured it's more fun to have him than to start a third Wolves defender..again...and also seems cooler and more fun than any other defender so let's do it :)

GK:

de Gea (SOU)

DDG didn't have to do much so he got a clean. Great job by him and United. It's a good sign that when Ole makes his five subs he's bringing on Fredrick and other shithouses and kind of killing the game dead which doesn't make the last handful of minutes feel so nervy.

Soton are good, though, and I could see them scoring, but with the way United have looked they still feel like a good place to back for cleans. He's not making any saves really to speak of but 3 cleans in 5 from the restart is right about where I thought they'd be.

DEF:

Maguire (SOU)

I am going to roll with the slab over Saiss to keep my shares at 2 for United and 2 for Wolves cleans. Same kinda shit with DDG, he's been individually bad as per but the team is dominating and I see that continuing against Soton.

Dock & Boly (EVE)

Really, really, really, really, really good fixture for a clean.

It's always hard to imagine where an Everton goal could come from and this fixture is no exception. As long as they don't get caught on a counter ping long ball, which they shouldn't do with the extra CB, they should be ok. I expect them to be in cruise control for this game and fully dominate and control it. Whether or not they themselves score, fuck if I know or care, but clean sounds good.

MID:

Sterling, De Bruyne, and Foden (bha)

Besides Raz, no clue if the other two will play 30, 60, or 90 but either way I expect this game to be an absolute fucking.

Rolling with the three City friends till the end seems good, and they are good.

Harry Potter plays some insane stuff and if he rolls out something similar here as he did do against Livp it could get silly. An early goal and the weed hanging their heads could mean many more to follow. That's the hope, anyway.

Bruno (SOU)

Ya, ok bro. Shitting points at the moment. Cool.

Pulisic (shu)

This is suddenly back to being a rough attacking fixture, but with the way Puli has been going recently I'll always back him to return against anyone. Sheffu midfield seems like it could be problematic and they as a team should beginning to feel it in their legs. Chelsea still need to win every game and Sheffu are kinda done for the season so hopefully they are on it and Puli running at Basham et al is too much for them to handle.

FWD:

Benteke (avl)

Back to his old stomping ground with Villa absolutely needing 3 points in this one I could see some goals for us. Just a fun play for me and again gives me something extra to cheer for on Sunday when I wake up to watch the game :)

Firmino (BUR)

He did put them to the sword in the reverse fixture..not that I usually put any stock in such a thing, but hey, it did happen so just reporting the news.

Without Mee I could envision him being difficult for them to contain with his movement so maybe he is going to get in there with some points. It wouldn't stun me to see him on the bench for like Minamino or some shit but hopefully not. Also is nice to have one of Alon's favorites in there to boot. Go get em Bobby.

CAP:

Raz never in doubt.

Didn't start last game...and Jesus has just started a few in a row...so there's a reasonable chance he's playing striker. Love the fixture here and the stars seem to have aligned for the cap shout.

He's been playing really well lately so it makes this a really easy decision for me.

Dropping Trent feels akin to dropping Kevin: I’ve probably made a big woopsies here and he’s gonna start 4/4 or 3/4 and haul because he’s the best but... maybe not? Maybe he gets rested/rotated for Burnley as we expect and maybe Liverpool don’t clean rest of season as I personally expect and then I’m doing ok?

I’m also just going partially with gut on Vardy vs. Bournemouth more then anything else. Form is some sort of mystical lover and every time she’s in our grasp she slips away and every time we think she’s gone forever she reappears... Hoping the form angel pegs Vardy’s butt-hole this weekend and he hauls.

Was Eddy worth the funds out the gate? Probably not... But I also know my own weaknesses and I’d’ve probably somehow have talked myself into some shit-can like Foster on no cleans and alas here we are.

Tough one for me to read.

Part of me thinks that the chaotic style of Southampton’s attack will have The Oaf on toast but also part of me thinks ManU will just strangle them to death with their elite possession and passing breaking the press all the time and Soton will be huffing and puffing by 45′... Not sure how this goes but yeah I duno.

It’s very realistic that neither of my City dudes start and that tilts me off so hard just thinking about watching City do The Seaweed 6-0 or something and not be a part of anything fuck meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee REEEEEEEEEEE!

I still think that these two are the best two ManU guys to get. Tony looked great despite not scoring and what can we even say about the lad Bruno he can’t not run into points right now.

Gonna be tough to break down but also the possession and pressure should be relentless from Chelsea here.

Hopefully Pulisic taking 9000 touches in the box leads to some FPL points that tricky little fucker I love him.

Walsh talked me into this (keeping Jim) on the pod and it made a whole lotta sense to me.

Sometimes in life you just need to talk it out with someone you trust like your pod partner and then you can see more clearly and here we are. I actually feel great about a Wolves bounce-back against an Everton side with no midfielders.

Jim should be getting lots of chances and touches in the box and get the fuck in there. Overdue for a pen too maybe Keane or Mina does some mad shit? I haven’t given up on you yet Jim. Let’s go.

I mean I think capping either of my City guys is completely unreasonable this week (for the record I would cap Raz over anyone this week) so it’s between basically Bruno, or Vardy for me this week...

Why would I cap Bruno there? What’s to be gained? He’s owned by everyone and will be capped by everyone. It’s not fun and it’s not how I play the game.

I see weeks like this as an opportunity to both have more fun and to go for a maybe under the radar cap shout huge chunk rise if he hauls and Bruno is held relativlely in check... No pressure Jamie no pressure at all... Just... save me... Plz...

Everything.

Shawn’s been home for days now, back from his trip to write and see his friends in LA before the business of Grammy’s and the Elvis performance airing starts. 

He’s back for tour rehearsals and to see everyone back home as much as he can before tour actually starts and takes him away from everyone. 

You loved the fact that he was home, soaking up as much time as he had. 

But to say you were happy right now would be a lie. Since Shawn’s been home you’ve heard from him twice. Two texts. One that said; Just landed xx. And another that said; Hey.

You had responded to both and was left with no response from him on both. 

At first you took that as he was spending time with his family and you wanted to give him space. But when you saw on Instagram and Twitter that he was at parties, and got his fucking ear pierced you started to become pissed off. 

He told you before he came back that he wanted to come home to see everyone, and maybe it was a mistake on your end but you thought you were in that mix too. Maybe you weren’t.

So when day 6 of him being home rolled around with no word from Shawn, but plenty stories of him being live while driving, and partying with friends, filling the space you started to come to terms that you weren’t as important as you thought you were. 

So you through his few shirts you’d stolen, the one sweatshirt, and the shampoo and toothbrush he brought over into a box and on your front step as a reminder to give back later. 

You were making yourself some pasta, ready to start a Marathon of CMT’s ‘Sun Records’ you’d recorded a week prior wanting to wait and watch with him. You were tired of waiting. 

Jumping, you looked over at your now ringing phone, his name and face illuminating the screen. You sighed, still stirring your Alfredo as you contemplated answering or not. But by the time you’d decided to, the ringing stopped. Guess life chose for you.

The second you turned away, it started again, and this time, you decided to let it ring. Life made your decision and you weren’t about to fight it.

By the third call you were pouring your noodles into a bowl, dusting them with cheese and digging your fork in so you could carry your bowl and glass of lemonade at the same time. 

He could call all he wanted, you weren’t about to drop your plans to cater to him.

On episode three you were curled under a blanket, sipping your second glass of lemonade, eyes twinkling at the actor playing Johnny Cash. 

A knock on your door reminded you that you weren’t actually living in that world, no matter how much you wanted to be. 

You paused the episode, standing to answer the door.

Shawn stood on the other side, eyes wide, cheeks flushed, curls messy. 

“Petal?” His soft voice croaked out when the door opened slowly. 

You looked up in surprise, not expecting him on your door step. 

“Why are my things out here?” He asks, voice breaking. “And why won’t you answer your phone?” 

You were still looking up at him with wide eyes, eyebrows raised up at him. 

“What are you doing here?” 

His eyebrows scrunched as he looked down at his hands, holding the box of his belongings. “Um,” He looks back up confused. “To see my girl?” He answered cautiously.

You raised a single eyebrow, hip jutting out, arms crossing in front of your chest. “You’re girl?” You asked, unimpressed tone oozing from your voice. 

“Yeah,” He nodded confidently. 

“No party tonight? School night for Liyah?” 

“Um, no and yes?” He said. 

“Convenient.” You scoffed. 

“What?” He leaned forward. 

Your glare landed on him and he shrunk in front of you. “What can I do for you Shawn?”

“I really don’t like the way you’re calling me that.” He grimaced.

“It’s your name isn’t?” You shrugged, hands now falling to your hips.

“Petal what’s wrong?” He asked softly, taking a tentative step forward.

You were trying so hard to keep your cool, trying to stand your ground and not melt right back into his arms, but fuck he made it so hard. 

You pursed your lips, eyes stinging with tears as you stared at him. You really loved him, and it hurt to think he didn’t feel the same. 

“Y/n,” He uttered, reaching up and gently caressed your cheek. “Talk to me.”

“No,” You moved away, wiping the tear that had dropped. “No,” You shake your head, grabbing the door, getting ready to slam it in his face.

“Don’t,” He caught your actions, quickly kicking his foot out so you couldn’t close the door. “Petal talk to me.” 

“No!” You sobbed. “I don’t want to.” 

You broke, out right broke down. Hands covering your face, sobs shaking your entire body, knees going weak, bringing you to the ground.

Shawn dropped with you, hands fumbling to set the box down so he could reach out and hold you. 

And as much as you hated yourself, you let him. You let him take you in his arms and hold you against his warm chest. Continuing to sob into your hands, he whispered to you that you were okay, that he was there, and that you were okay.

He shifted you over, so he could lift you up. He wanted to take you to the couch, or somewhere that wasn’t the entrance to your home with the door still wide open. 

When he had shut the door and carried you into the living room, seeing that you had rearranged the furniture, and that you had started watching the show you both promised to watch together broke him a little. 

He set you down, sitting in front of you, brushing the hair out of your face, leaning forward to kiss your forehead. 

“Why are you here?” 

“Why do you keep asking me that?” He asks, head shaking. “I’m here because you’re here.” 

“No!” You yell. 

“Stop saying no.” 

“No Shawn!” 

“And stop calling me that!” He tugs at his curls. 

“It’s your name.” You mumble.

“Not with you!” He looks up abruptly, “Not with you.” He whispers. 

You sniff, wiping your tears away and looking up at him. 

“Petal what’s wrong?” He asks, caressing your cheek again. 

“Can I ask you a question?” You ask, voice rough.

“Always,” 

“Am I enough for you?” 

His eyes bug out a little as he scoots closer. “What kind of fucking question is that? You’re more than enough! You’re everything I’ve ever wanted and more. I can’t,” He sucks in a deep breath. “I can’t imagine a life with you, I won’t imagine a life without you.”

Your bottom lip quivers and you nod. 

“Why would you ever ask me that?” He tilts your head to look at him.

“Am I important to you?” 

This time his breath hitches and it all makes sense. His eyes shut and his lets out a deep breath through his nose, because he knows he fucked up. He fucked up, bad. 

“Petal,” He starts and you murmur a ‘no.’ “Petal,” He opens his eyes, that are now pooling with his own tears. “You are, the most, important thing in my life. I can not do this without you. You are the only slice of home, anything personal, and true love that I have. And I would never, ever, give that up.” 

“You just,” You hiccup.

“I never meant to hurt you,” He bites his bottom lip, tears stuck to his eyelashes. “Ever,” He shakes his head. 

“You just left,” You shrug. “You were coming home, and then just left me here, alone.” 

“Petal,” He sobbed, blindly grabbing your hands and pulling them to his chapped lips. 

“At first I knew you were home and needed time, so I backed off and gave you space. But then you were partying, and going to rehearsals, fucking doing a live while driving,” You hit his chest at that last one.

“It’s not,” He starts.

“You never even texted me,” You whispered as you looked up. “If you’re busy I understand. You know I do. But you didn’t even text to say you were busy. You were so close, and you’ve never felt so far away.” 

He’s pulling you on his lap, nuzzling his face into your neck, humming at your scent and the feeling of being whole. 

“I’m so sorry,” He whispers against your skin. “I never meant to do that. I’m so sorry.” 

“You can’t just up and leave like that Shawn. You can’t do that to me.” You shake your head. “Not when no one knows.”

And that’s when the worst chord is struck, because it’s true. You are a secret, from everyone. Not even Aaliyah knows about you. 

“Never again,” He promises, kissing your neck. “I can’t lose you.” 

“I’m in love with you Pookie,” You whisper into his ear. 

And the second you say the name all his tension and stress fades away. He knows that everything’s okay, that you’re okay. 

But when his mind registers what you’ve said he pulls back dramatically.

“Really?” He asks with a smile.

“You’re hard to not fall in love with.” You tap his nose making him scrunch his face. 

“I’m in love with you too Petal,” He smiles, quickly turning making you land on your back with him hovering over you. 

“Next time, just tell me you’re busy,” You whisper. 

“There won’t be a next time,” He leans down for a proper kiss. “I promise.” 

You smile, melting right back into his hands as he kissed you a little longer and a little deeper. 

“You started the show without me,” He mumbles as he kisses down your jaw to your neck. 

“You left me on read,” You sigh. 

“You put my things outside,” 

“You didn’t come over,” 

“Mmm, let me explain that,” He pulls back. You look up confused. “Should’ve told you before, but the plan was to come home and spend time with everyone, make them think I was leaving again for work, when really I’m just here with you for the remainder of my day. Holed up with my Petal,” He tickles your side, “With no where to be, no one to interrupt, and a full season of Sun Records to watch.” He looks to the TV screen after you squirm away from his tickling fingers.

“You definitely should have told me that.” 

“Can we restart this? So I can be caught up?” He points to the screen. 

“Yeah,” You nod.

“Later though,” He looks over as you reach for the remote.

“What? Why?” You ask looking up at him. 

He’s standing up and offering a hand, wiggling his fingers. “Come on Petal,” He smiles. “Let’s go really get reacquainted and let me make up for what I did.” You giggle as you take his hand and follow him to your bedroom.

The next morning you stand in the kitchen, making eggs and bacon for breakfast while he’s out on his run. You want breakfast done by the time he’s back so he can have a meal ready for him.

There’s a knock on the door as you turn the burner off after the bacon’s finished, and you giggle, rushing to the door in only his t-shirt from the night before.

“Shawn you don’t have to kno-” 

“Miss. L/n?” A male says, keeping his eyes locked on the top of your head. 

Your eyes go wide as you realize it’s not Shawn at your door, and you’re not wearing pants. “Yes?” You squeak, tugging the hem of his shirt down.

“Delivery,” The guy says, pushing the vase full of red roses into your hands. 

“Do I need to sign?” You ask, staring at the roses in confusion.

“Nope,” He shakes his head, quickly turning, “Have a nice day,” 

“Tha-” But he’s already in his car speeding away. “Oh my god,” You rush to get back in so your neighbors don’t see that you’ve answered the door in your dark blue lace panties.

Just as you set the vase on the counter Shawn walks in. 

“Hey Petal,” He walks up behind you, all sweaty and deep breaths. He kisses the back of your head. “You made breakfast?” He asks seeing the counter, but you’re still staring at the roses.

“Did you do this?” You look up at him.

“I’m gonna take a shower, then I’ll join you for breakfast.”

“Shawn!” You yell as he walks away, you only call his actual name when he’s in trouble. 

“Check for a card!” He yells back before the shower turns on.

You huff, standing on your toes to see a card, finding the little envelope quickly.

You smile, looking down the hall where you know he’s at. 

Looking at breakfast then back to the hall, you quickly throw your plates in the oven hoping to keep them warm as you rush down the hall, pulling his shirt up over your head and slipping out of your panties.

You step in the shower, standing behind his very naked form, eyes lingering on his ass for a minute before he turns, eyes widening when he finds you there.

“You’re too quiet Petal,” He sighs. “Scared me.” 

You giggle, leaning up for a kiss, which he gladly gives you. 

“You’re everything too.” You mumble against his lips. 

“Do you like your flowers?”

“I love them,” You smile as his hands find your hips. 

“Good,” 

“I’m sure the delivery guy loved my attire when I answered the door.” 

Shawn pales, thinking back to what you were wearing when he walked in the door. “You did not answer the door without pants,” He grips your hips harder.

“I didn’t know I would be receiving flowers! I thought it was you being playful.” 

“Did he look? I swear to god if he looked!” 

“He didn’t look,” You push his curls off his forehead. “Stared at my bed head instead.” 

Shawn huffs, “Guess I should’ve warned you” He mumbles.

“Next time,” You grin. 

He laughs, bending down to grab the back of your thighs, swiftly picking you up and backing you up against the shower wall. “Yeah, okay.” He nods, nose bumping yours as he harshly kisses you. 

“In the shower eh?” You giggle. “This is a first,” 

“I’m still making up,” His voice is muffled by the skin of your neck. “Got a few tricks up my sleeve.” 

You giggle, gripping his curls on the back of his neck harder as he sucks a sore spot right under your earlobe. 

“I mean it Petal, you’re everything.” He pulls back to look at you. 

“You’re everything.”

May 21: The 100 2x11 Coup De Grace

It’s late, my computer’s more tired than I am (and hardcore hates me and very well may decide to eat this entire post who even knows), and this is probably a bad idea but I’m gonna do it anyway.

Or at least start.

Another episode, or partial episode, of The 100.

This opening torture sequence makes me so uncomfortable. Which like I get is the point but tbh I’m just not into ‘look how unflinching we are at the realities of Bad Stuff.’ Especially when my tired computer is skipping and the sequence becomes, like...trippy. Trippier.

This is probably a super bad idea because my computer literally cannot handle video lol. I am going to restart it.

It’s actually kind of nuts that Monty’s been missing for 2 days and Harper even longer and Jasper and Maya are like ‘this is weird and upsetting but I guess we’ll find them somewhere!!’ Well, Maya more than Jasper. Mount Weather isn’t THAT big.

“You have to look like nothing’s wrong. Like everything’s okay” is so sad. I think it’s situations like that that make S2 my favorite, just b/c I’m a sucker for scenarios of enclosed tension. Like, forget war and blah blah blah, I want this, like... secretive, spying, being spied upon, uncertainty. That’s the real horror in a satisfying way.

Gosh his haircut is awful though.

When does Clarke learn to ride a horse?

I have literally no idea what’s happening bc I rewatch these eps so infrequently.

Clarke just got “yes ma’amed.” I find that semi-hilarious, not because she’s 18 but because you knew Grounders used words like “ma’am.”

I love Clarke’s single-mindedness. “We can’t stop for water. We can’t stop for anything. We’re on a mission. And Bellamy might have called!” AWWNH!Clarke is so OOC lol but she has a different background okay?

I’m not really in the mood to trust Abby about anything. Does she... actually make good decisions? I feel like you’d have to track her through all of the seasons but I am inclined to say...perhaps......not.

So the Mountain Men tried to assassinate Clarke and Lexa. Completely forgot about that.

The introduction of Echo. I just... I just have no opinions on her, I guess. Literally my only opinion is that she should have been the Ice Queen and, not being the Ice Queen, she’s just not interesting to me. I will say, she couldn’t have been in Mount Weather long if she knew who the Sky People are, as they’ve only been on the ground about a month. But also...why does she hate them? They were only fighting with Trikru, and Azgeda territory isn’t even, like, in the vicinity.

I love Dante but he has some major balls looking Jasper in the face and saying he doesn’t know where his friends are. I mean, he doesn’t, because Cage stole them, but how do you just MISPLACE people in a 600,000 square foot bunker? Where COULD they go?

I’m sure I’ve said this before but as someone who went to a high school with a uniform I find it HIGHLY unrealistic that all these teenage boys tuck in their shirts and keep them tucked in all the time without exceptions.

So it was MW that told them there were no Ark survivors. Did I know that? Did I forget that? Not that it matters as my Clarke/Maya fic is done lol.

Dante is the most Hilarious and Wonderful of all of the attempted father figures on this show I said what I said--they’re all terrible but at least he bring the Weird Father Figure energy to 11. I’ll lie to you but it’s to protect you, call you son (always weird), super good at self-defense--ah-ha! sword at at your neck!

“This is not a toy.” If the sword is in MW it’s probably Important and Famous.

IMO and I completely stand by this assessment, it’s harder for Jasper to be brave than it is for other people, and he was really brave, and it worked, and I’m proud of him.

I realize this is also a problem with the literal world but we actually do know that torture isn’t effective so Indra being all upset that she’s not allowed to torture Emerson is just so....exhausting to me. Like Clarke isn’t suggesting not torturing him bc she loves the high ground and must walk it at all times. She’s suggesting not torturing him bc the last time she tortured someone, she got 0 good information. And even though neither of them know it, it was the shit information garnered from torture that led Finn to TonDC! Also if they had let Emerson die, the Grounder would have also still died--it’s not that they chose to use resources on one and not the other. They had two different types of wounds. I mean I guess if they’d brought them in faster without patching up Emerson in the field? That’s probably what she meant. However the Grounder Death Cult and their complete willingness to declare their fight over at the merest papercut makes me again less sympathetic to this point of view.

I’d literally already forgotten that someone tried to assassinate Clarke like an hour earlier. Abby doesn’t need to be concerned about that, lol, Clarke’s used to it!

Okay first I did have a longstanding headcanon that Echo had a crush on Bellamy going way back--I mean that’s practically canon, yeah?--but now I’m super convinced because in their second scene together, he sacrifices himself for her using information she gave him (that MW takes the loud/strong looking ones), even though she greeted him by spitting in his face, and actually, that was very heroic and selfless of him. I’d fall in love too.

Second, I thought she had no tattoos because she’s a spy or w/e but I CLEARLY see tattoos on her legs. And they are not white either.

I don’t think I ever realized that Maya found Bellamy because she was in the infirmary/harvest chamber looking for Harper and Monty. I do not have a good memory for each scene leading into the next. AND she think she’s found them when she sees how fast the random patient’s treatment is working, because that has to be a Sky Person and she would never guess Bellamy.

They really do just talk about their little torture machine casually all the time. “I need to go over the treatment schedule so I know how many cages to clear.”

Hey so like how did Maya get in if she’s not cleared for this facility?

What a wonderful time to remember yet again that if Bellamy knows who Maya is from her reference to Jasper, Clarke, who saw Maya and Jasper flirt like ONE TIME, must have told him about them, which is cute and funny all at once.

Maya: “I wanted to see what was so special about him, but... he’s dead.” Bellamy: Ah yes! I’m dead! * immediately closes his eyes * Why am I laughing so hard at this?

Good thing they take dead bodies down slowly instead of just thunking them on their heads.

Maya, Bellamy, and Echo v. Lovejoy is a pretty satisfying fight. Also, what did Clarke just say about Emerson talking b/c they saved his life? Echo helps Bellamy because he saved her life. Sometimes you get more flies with honey.

I tend to forget that Bellamy literally strangled this guy with his bare hands. Like it was self-defense to some degree, in that this had to be a fight to the death, but it was also just pure fucking rage. Like he said, he (like Clarke for a while) wants to kill everyone in the Mountain.

And then he thanks Echo and asks Maya if she’s all right. A True Catch. Tbh I could see something forming out of Echo and Bellamy here, but not after some of the later twists and turns in the later narrative.

Honesty, I’ve always loved Maya but... let’s just appreciate her, shall we? That was horrific, seeing someone she knew killed in front of her--and helping, because she knew he was on the wrong side, even though that was the same side she’d been on her whole life. Is she completely in the moment, or is she already seeing that there’s no way out for her here? That the people they’ve brought into the Mountain are really going to destroy it?

Bellamy coming out in Lovejoy’s clothes looks like a kid trying on new clothes at the mall before the new school year. Except he’s just dumped a body down a trash chute.

Like “I’ll come back for you, I promise”--I can see a basis for a ship in that. So far it is 100% built on how Echo would have to be dumb not to fall in love with Bellamy but still.

This Maya and Bellamy scene is amazing. I love every aspect of it.

Lemme just...watch that Jonty hug on repeat.

Honestly they even ended the scene with them walking out the door together even though there’s no way anyone could have moved Harper that fast and there’s also no indication of who moved her or how. Guess she’s...not that important...?? LOL??

Kane has only two modes: fairly ineffectual bastard or utterly ineffectual neo-hippie. “You’re not grasping the situation! We’re nice! Be nice to us!” I probably shouldn’t mock him bc he is me lol, I also would not know what else to say to Emerson other than ‘please????’ but still. Common sense and peace and love would be great but those aren’t shared values I guess.

And then he goes 180 to ‘let’s torture him then?’

What you should be doing is good cop bad cop. Or like, wearing him down with repeated questioning? I heard that’s an effective interrogation technique, although here Emerson has a certain advantage of time and that his interrogators are way more easily annoyed than he is easily worn down or confused.

Anyway I remember now. Clarke ultimately solves this problem with that ultimate BDE moment, sending him with a message and 6 hours of oxygen. She really is just the Smartest.

At least Kane acknowledges that the Chancellorship is a completely random title since Abby literally just kinda stole it? Like Jaha is the rightful Chancellor and Kane is the second-most-rightful Chancellor and she’s just sorta...there? But it also doesn’t matter because as established, Clarke is the one actually in charge.

This Bellamy and Maya elevator scene is also the kind of tension that I like. Is Bellamy...legitimately considering shooting him? In the elevator? That would end badly lol. He has this idea to just start randomly offing people in public/enclosed places, while Lexa is all like ‘we can’t save TonDC bc it would blow Bellamy’s cover!’ like the irony.

I wonder if the MW classes are like...to some end, like, mandatory schooling that must be completed, or if they’re just like for funsies? I think the second, partially because it’s an “Expressionist class” which doesn’t seem like the Three Rs and partially because this dude doesn’t seem upset that Maya didn’t show, like he’s just vaguely wondering where she was.

“We’ve accomplished great things” in that tone is like the MOST American thing I have ever heard. (I can say this because I’m American.)

“We’ve been bleeding people to stay alive for generations. That’s our legacy” is true in the sense that Dante’s line in the sane is...truly in the sand. But also has it been ‘generations’? I’m not sure you understand how time works, show-as-a-whole. I mean maybe this is technically true? They probably discovered Grounders like....50 years ago? Which is sort of “generations.” But when you say it like that it makes it sound way longer.

You wanna root for Dante over Cage because he’s on the side of our heroes but in terms of like bitter logic Cage has the advantage. What they’ve already done and what Dante has managed to rationalize to himself is bad enough. They’re already Doing Bad Things, doing yet more bad things isn’t going to bother anyone. Especially when these extra bad things (1) come out to the same--torturing/killing people and (2) lead them to a permanent home on the ground.

I wonder if Dante/MW justified what they did to Grounders with stories of them being like...irradiated mutants. Like literally inhuman. So it ‘doesn’t count.’ I mean objectively they’re wrong of course but I mean in their heads. And then for Dante the line is so obvious between killing radiation casualties and killing just normal humans like themselves, whereas for Cage--who sees the Grounders more because of Cerberus, and knows they don’t look that much different, that they are also just people underneath the masks and big clothes--sees no difference between the Grounders and the Sky People, and if he’s already sullied himself by using one set, he can continue sullying himself, for a greater cause, by using the other set. It’s just a question of which story you’re telling yourself and how much you’re willing to lie.

The plotting of this season is, overall, very good. Especially in the second half.

I think Clarke’s default mode when stressed is order giving. It’s part of the control thing. She’s okay if she has everything under control, and if she knows everything, and when she has all that knowledge and control it just...spills out of her, directing people with what they need to do and where they need to go.

Whereas Raven’s in full ‘falling out of love with Clarke’ mode.

Also I think Clarke is very quick to comfort people and she is genuine in this but because she ALSO has her agenda and her strident tone and her controlled demeanor, it can look like manipulation. Or at least, if I were her friend, I would always wonder if she really cared or if she just wanted me to calm down so my emotions weren’t in the way of The Plan.

My 15 second Raven, Clarke, and Octavia scene. Lemme just rewatch this a bunch of times too.

“Jackson found genetic marker anomalies that can only come from someone born on the Ark.” Remember when people were theorizing that this was a big deal in some way? The Arkers were genetically modified to withstand space? I remember that being a theory. Anyway in retrospect, it’s just a Plot Device. Possibly a Pseudo-Science Plot Device I would not know.

Never mind. “We were genetically engineered. They weren’t.” So it is in fact canon, just meaningless canon. HOW IS THIS SOME RANDOM THROWAWAY LINE?

Clarke’s feral moments are the best.

It’s cute how Abby continues to think Clarke isn’t in charge.

Having Bell run into Lovejoy’s son is cheap but effective. I still remember that scene and I can really feel the full effect on him through Bob’s acting and the music. I also always remember that line “What did you expect you’d find here?” Because the answer is obviously ‘monsters.’ They had their simple narrative too: about how MW were the bad guys and thus they could destroy them all and it would be vengeful and feel good. But it’s more complicated than that: everyone in the Mountain is complicit in terrors. But many of them passively so. Bellamy was ready to kill all of them, and so was Clarke, but he changes his mind based on this encounter, tells her about it over the radio, and makes HER change her mind and in fact change her entire plan, by the time she explains it in 2x15.

And it’s sad for Maya too because Bellamy is being aided by her but she is still a Mountain Person. It’s easy to say ‘she’s an exception, she’s Jasper’s friend, she’s our friend.’ But she’s done everything he hates the Mountain for. If the whole Mountain is evil, she’s evil. And to the extent you can’t be both pro-MW and pro-Sky People, she’s put in this impossible position of choosing sides, or trying to switch sides abruptly. Bellamy sees that, and it’s like yet one more additional layer to his guilt over what he did, because he sees a new angle to how it affected Maya,  without whom he’d be dead.

Jonty the leader couple. And Jasper’s face when Monty says “We’re not safe here.”

S2 is my favorite bc of plotting like this episode: just as the 47 are about to leave, Cage stages his coup. Just as Bellamy is about to see his friends, the doors lock and they’re trapped. The moment when Jasper sees Bellamy--with absolutely no reason to believe this could even be possible. In trying to plan fics that use S2 I tend to get confused about the plot bc it goes back and forth and circles around a lot, but in actually watching it, it’s quite effective, and I think part of the circling confusion is just bc there are so many moving parts, people need to be in the right places at the right times, meet and separate at the right moments, so it can read awkwardly in summary. But they did a good job ultimately, I think.

Another thing about S2 generally is that even though it’s much more expansive than S1 in terms of locations and number of characters and groups of characters, ultimately almost everything revolves around one story (except for the CoL setup stuff), and 2 main locations that have meaning, with various points in between. So it is more concise and more centralized and more meaningful than later seasons, which become increasingly spread out and disjointed. Or so I try to explain to myself at 1am.

Yaaaay emotional Princess Mechanic and then Bravenlarke. I live for these moments when characters are just like...emotional together.

I don’t know if I find it realistic that Clarke would be like ‘it’s over’ so fast but nevertheless I like Raven and Bellamy picking her back up.

Clarke’s relieved face...she’s in love.

Bellamy: I’m fine. Me: He’s a liar!!! But I guess they can talk about his emotions later.

When they’re all together, they’re all better. Like immediately. Even Clarke’s “Raven’s going to help you” with a little look to her, like, this isn’t an order, and Raven nods....

I love that Bellamy took Maya’s expression to mean “It’s not a problem” when it quite obviously meant “It’s a huge problem.” But also Clarke smiled for .05 seconds so I think she knew he was a-lying. This could be a sitcom if it were a totally different show.

Weirdly, I watched part of 2x15 again for a fic I decided not to write atm and...they don’t actually use the Grounders as a Trojan Horse army. Their plan NOT to kill everyone including the kids meant basically that they used their real army as a distraction and then just took the inside-Grounders out the back way. Or that was the idea. Which in retrospect is actually kind of disappointing.

Clarke’s power walk through the hallway with her Grounder Entourage is just so....satisfying. This is the emotional payoff that got me into this show.

Clarke just literally staging a coup against her own mother, using the Grounder force that sees her as a leader, is so.... I feel like I have never appreciated it before this rewatch. I think in the past I found it kind of annoying tbh. But this time I like it a lot more. I like Clarke’s just insane levels of confidence and self-assurance. It is a good look.

First of all the parallel to the Wallaces. But more importantly, I always wanted this big story line of Delinquents Versus Arkers that never fully came as I wanted it, but this is pretty close, where she’s just used to being in charge by now, so you know what, she is. And the only thing she needs to make her desire for power real is muscle, which she has, thanks to Lexa, so she uses it. It’s also very satisfying. And should ultimately have been the groundwork for the delinquents to form a separate community but WHAT DO I KNOW?

All that said, and this isn’t contradictory, but Clarke picks like the MOST inflammatory way to go about her plan. She just does it, she gives no explanation, she stages a showdown at the gate with her own Mom the Chancellor. There is a subtler way of doing this. But I like that she didn’t do subtle because it’s IC for her. It’s IC for her age (who is more Dramatique than a teen?) and it’s IC for her place in her hero’s arc: under L’s influence, she’s becoming big-headed, leaning into the sin of pride, here in the form of “I do can do no wrong,” and by 2x16 in the form of “I can do no right, no one has ever been more wrong than I, no one has ever been more sorrowful than I, let me perform penance in the woods.”

Pride: the most annoying deadly sin.

Anyway.

And Kane, who always bows to the Alpha Female in the room, immediately enables Clarke’s Drama.

“Let our people go and we’ll let you live. It’s just that simple.”

“The Grounder army is bigger than you think and the acid fog can’t hurt them” is honestly a bluff though? Because again, they do not use or even PLAN to use the inside Grounders and they DO plan to take out the acid fog so??? I guess the point, if she was protecting Bellamy, WAS the bluff, WAS the distraction.

I think it was unnecessary to take out his O2 but I guess she’s really just showing off, which again is IC and I guess has the purpose of showing MW she means business and is Not To Be Fucked With. Still, it is important that her message make it to MW since it’s the distraction Bellamy asked for, so it seems like something of a risk to make it hard for the messenger to arrive home safely.

I do like that she gets to use that classic retort “That sounds like a you problem.”

And so.... I meant to go to sleep like 3 hours ago, and my power is flickering. Time for bed. The end, goodnight.

BFF: Tell us about yourself!

Mel: I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who starts sweating whenever they get this kinda question but here goes: I’m Mel and despite what my Twitter handle says, that’s not short for “Mellamy” lmao. I’ve been on Tumblr for close to eight years now (I just got a small stroke from saying that), I watch a fuckton of TV and movies (I mean. Who doesn’t, right?), and I’m also a proud BoC (Bisexual of Colour).  

BFF: When did you start shipping Bellarke?

Mel: The first place I saw Bellarke was, I think like many of the fandom, on my Tumblr dashboard. During the post-S1 hiatus, one of my favourite gif-makers (she’s changed her URL and gone on several hiatuses so I genuinely don’t know where to find her anymore) was posting a bunch of gifsets of them. Again, like many of the fandom, from the gifs and screencaps of S1 alone, I basically assumed Bellarke was already a canon couple and decided “ooh, they cute. Lemme watch this show for that Good TV Romance™”. (Once more, like many of the fandom, I got a Rude Awakening when I started watching the show because it turned out to be So Much Worse… but also So Much Better.)

As for when I started really shipping Bellarke in the actual show, I think a lot of people fell in 1x02 (Bellamy saving Clarke from the grounder pit) or 1x03 (Clarke relieving him of the burden of mercy killing Atom). While those were both huge steps for me in terms of perceiving their relationship, I don’t think I really fell for this ship as a potential romance until 1x04, ‘Murphy’s Law’. The Charlotte/Murphy conflict peeled back the layers on both Bellamy and Clarke: his posturing and bravado was melted away in front of the delinquents, and all of her cool logic and reasoning was temporarily suspended. That, for me, was the first episode that really showed that despite all their oil/vinegar clashes throughout the show, at their very deepest core, Bellamy and Clarke were always going to be unified by the same goal — to protect their people.

BFF: How long have you been writing fanfiction?

Mel: I used to write (bad) fanfiction for some older fandoms, back when Wattpad and AO3 weren’t even conceived yet and all we had was FanFiction.Net and LiveJournal. Shit, I was really out here when ‘My Immortal’ was still being updated, lmaooo. I stopped for several years for a multitude of reasons — overstuffed schedule, physical exhaustion, a bunch of big life transitions, mental health issues etc. Bellarke was THE ship that restarted my fic-writing engine in 2015, and I think because of that, I’m always gonna have that Soft Spot for them.

BFF: Are you a part of any other fandoms?

Mel: Aside from The 100, I’m a huuuuuuge Star Wars hoe. Original trilogy, prequels, Rogue One, current series — I love them all. I’m genuinely nervous about Disney’s future plans for reviving this franchise but having quite literally grown up on this stuff, I just don’t think it’s ever going to be possible for me to walk away from this franchise, no matter how Messy it gets (and I’ve a feeling it will!).

I’m also really big on the MCU (currently obsessed with Thorkyrie) and From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, which I have no shame admitting is the guiltiest of guilty pleasures.

BFF: Are there any writers that you’ve drawn inspiration from?

Mel: I’m going old-school here, but I’ve always been enamoured by Douglas Adams (author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series) and K. A. Applegate (Animorphs series). It’s not so much about their kickass creativity with plot or characters, but more of the rhythm and pacing of their writing. They’ve each got a great way of balancing story and characterisation, all underscored and punctuated with these unique comedic inflections and beats.

BFF: Do you have favourite side-pairings or characters you also enjoy including?

Mel: I love writing Minty and, I’m not gonna lie, it’s mostly as a fuck-you to the writers for refusing to acknowledge Monty Green’s Gayness™. Memori have got a really fun dynamic to write too, and I still include a lot of Jasper/Maya in my fics because they deserve to be happy and in love forever. As for solo characters, Raven is hands down my favourite to voice, mostly because I feel like I can 100% relate with whatever’s going through her head in any given situation.

BFF: What are your favourite tropes to write?

Mel: Oh LORDT, do you got a full hour???

Lmao okay but real talk, I absolutely love writing Enemies to Friends to Lovers. I prefer Modern AU’s, simply because I like the concept of breaking our fave characters out from the grimdark world of The 100, to see how their relationships and attitudes could possibly evolve if they were allowed to care about dumb stuff like TV shows and public transport instead of just whether they manage to live or die. I am also a die-hard fan of the Roommates trope, simply because it’s the most convenient fic-writing device for ensuring that your ship will always have some reason to share the same space alone together with some regularity.

BFF: What do you predict will happen in season 5? Especially for our favourite duo?

Mel: So this is basically just “do you think Bellarke will become canon in S5”, right? (lmaodskjfhks) Well I hate to sound like I’m pushing a fatalistic attitude towards S5, but honestly, I don’t see Bellarke becoming canon in S5. After all, they’ve got a lot of ground to cover once they reunite on the ground. Six years is a heck of a long time, especially when one of them fully thought the other was dead. (It’s hard for us as fandom to grasp because we have been shown that Clarke’s fully alive and well, but we gotta remember, death is a separation of utmost finality. It’s not just like thinking someone’s away or missing.)

I do, however, think it’s feasible to expect some kind of recognition/acknowledgement of explicitly romantic feelings on either one or both their parts.

BFF: Do you have any plans for other fics you’d like to write, if so could you spoil or tease us?

Mel: Oh boy, do I ever. Full disclosure, I’m currently working on about 6 or 7 fics for Bellarke alone, but they’re setting up to hit at least 8k in length each so they’re definitely not going to be ready for publication anytime soon.

I do have one that I’m planning to post as a multichap, which means I won’t have to wait until it’s fully completed. I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s based on a French romcom titled Blind Date (Un peu, beaucoup, aveuglément). It’s basically a neighbours / enemies to friends to lovers AU, and I’m really excited for y’all to read it!

BFF: What advice would you give novice writers?

Mel: I answered this question a good while ago in this post here with a few major points, but I think the most important one is this:

You are your best competition. I know it’s a lot easier said than done, but this is seriously the most important thing for me as a writer: DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS. It never makes anyone feel better (especially if you’re, say, writing fic for a big fandom with a lot of existing content). Honestly, it doesn’t even make sense when you think about how every writer is different and has their own unique style.

Be your own harshest critic, but also your biggest cheerleader. Write for you, to express yourself. That way, whatever you write/publish, at the end of the day, you feel good about it.

Also gonna tag @little-leaf-man​ in case you want to but haven’t done this yet, but totally feel free to ignore this it’s a lot of questions to answer so don’t worry if ya don’t wanna do it!

1: Favorite living world season? Not sure, I’m only part way through season 3 and didn’t get to play 1 so, probably 3 at the moment? Mainly because I didn’t like how different it felt to play compared to the personal story, but I eventually got used to how the Living World Season stuff plays out. 

2: Favorite expansion? Well I’ve only played HoT at the moment too, so that one! Also although I have mounts, I actually love the glider a LOT.

3: Favorite soundtrack? I play with the music off and play my own stuff in the background (mostly random lets play because people talking in the background helps me concentrate) because I always thought the soundtrack was too repetitive for me oops 

4: First profession you played? Necromancer! It was gothest option so of course I picked it back when I first started playing. (I was like, 17 so that’s why Alec’s surname is Shadowdancer oops)

5: First race you played? Human!

6: Favorite Destiny’s Edge character? Logan followed by Eir! I like those two a lot

7: Favorite Dragon’s Watch character? I only really like Marjory and Canach at the moment, the rest don’t seem to currently have much in the way of personality if you aren’t very far in and haven’t been able to play Living World Season 1

8: Favorite Elder Dragon? Zhaitan! He’s basically a necromancer dragon. I just wish he had a voice and stuff. I want him to be spookier and chatty ;;

9: Best boss fight (story) I liked Mordremoth’s fight a lot (even if it broke and made me restart the ENTIRE chapter) but I liked it a lot! I also liked the fights you had to do to make Caladbolg whole again, especially when you had to fight yourself.

10: Best boss fight (fractal)? I like the very first one, the volcano one a lot. But that’s because it’s easy and I don’t really remember any of the other fractals.

11: Best boss fight (raid)? Never done raids so I wouldn’t know.

12: PvE or PvP or RP? PvE AND RP please. Though I don’t actually do RP especially in game but still, I like the idea of doing it! (Problem is I don’t follow lore and lots of people do oops). I also love doing PvE in a challenge way - no teleporting, setting restrictions for myself depending on the character (I.E Velvet and Proto can’t go in water areas etc)

13: Favorite canon couple? Don’t remember any of the canon couples aside from Jory/Kas. So those two I guess XD

14: Favorite fanon/self made couple? In one version it is Alec/Trahearne, but I’d also like to ship my character’s with other people’s but I always find it hard to ask ;; BUT Alec/Aodhan (Leftincommand’s boy) is currently a very VERY good one >:3

15: Favorite quote? None my memory is a sieve I barely remember the non-main npcs (In fact I don’t remember most of them)

16: Most emotional cinematic? Probably the Bloodstone Explosion on the Airship one, I don’t really find any of them emotional but character wise it would be the most hard for Alec considering his fear of airships.

25: Something you worked really hard to get? Technically not in-game, but I worked really hard on convincing my irl friends to play GW2 with me and I was very pleased when they did >:3 (LeftInCommand and CommanderTollWife)

26: Favorite GW2 Youtuber / GW2 related video? I’m very fussy with what I watch and I don’t really like watching videos of a game I am currently playing so I know nothing about the gw2 videos people make.

27: Most used miniature? Depends on what character I’m playing! Though Alec normally has Mini Trahearne. I do want the Mini Jackalope a lot though ;;

30: Something you’d love to see in GW2? CIRCUS THEMED CLOTHES, Like clowns, jesters, all of that please and thank you! ALSO player housing I can decorate. I’d spend real money on being able to create individual rooms for my characters. ALSO a photostudio mode so I can pose them and move the camera to take photos how I want.
