i took an anti-nausea medicine today and it basically knocked me out?? like i could NOT keep my eyes open…so ig it did work in that i wasn’t nauseous per se 😭 hoping the effects linger a bit through tmrw but not the side effects LMAO it’s okay i’ve been having such an amazing time otherwise that it’s not a huge deal!! we’re going paragliding tmrw (😬 i’m scared of heights but yk yolo how many times does one get the chance to paraglide in the swiss alps) and then the day after we drive to italy for a bit 🤩 i loveee visiting italy hehe so i’m excited for that!! and then afterwards france time 🙏🏻 as long as my ass doesn’t get carsick again that means lots of driving time when i can get some writing in!! but no promises we will see how it goes 😩 if not i’ll just listen to music and stare out of the window all moody and aesthetic while in the car and just write at night as i typically do

Have you listened to Ariana’s new album and Hozier’s new EP? I loved ‘We can’t be friends’, ‘don’t wanna break up again’, ‘boy is mine’, and ‘I wish I hated you’ from Ari’s album specifically, although every song in that album was so good. ‘Too Sweet’ and ‘Fare Well’ were my favorite from Hozier’s album, the guitar in both is just so good.

My recommendation for this time (if you haven’t heard it already) is Luna Day’s ‘Obsessed’ and ‘Say it Back’. Unrequited love songs will always have a special place in my heart.

Hi lovely!! I’ve been reading Take Me Home and I wanted to tell you I’m absolutely loving it so far! I know I haven’t left any in depth feedback on chapters recently, but I still felt I should show you some love for this amazing fic! I’m loving the way you’ve really kept each character true to themselves while exploring some aspects that the show might not have went as in depth on (especially things like the loss of Beau’s partner and even Emily’s podcast.)

I really admire the attention to detail in the plot and the way you’ve managed to delve into all the separate plots and character relationships, you’ve effortlessly managed to completely elevate the building block the show set in place in regards to the little things, like how Emily views her relationship with her dad and the relationships between everyone. I’m also loving that Denise is the reader’s aunt, not only does it weave her into the story in a more seamless way, but when get to see more of that lovely lady!

The more you know Morgan, the less you’ve felt you could love her. It might be cruel to recognise that. She demeans your style, pokes fun at your body, and worst of all, she takes the piss out of your constant dedication to the music you make.

You do. Morgan’s probably trying her best, in the same way that you’re doing yours, balancing friendship and music and fame and a high-pressure job with little room for slip-ups. And now Eddie. Maybe Morgan has an Eddie somewhere, some larger than life loverboy with a penchant for sharpness and sweetness simultaneously.

omg and the way it parallels to a previous part where r says that she thinks the worst thing about morgan is she could love her </3 also what i said about you writing your characters multifaceted!!

Worse is that this could all be different. If you were prettier, someone Morgan approved of. If you were smarter, and could garner Ananya's interest. Feeling like an outsider in the extreme that you do can't be good for you, but there's no quick fix. The only time it goes away is when you're on stage playing music for a thousand outsiders. Or when you're with Eddie.

You hate this, and you know now you won't sleep until you're sure things are okay between you, though there's no reason anything would've changed since the last time you saw him. What kind of pathetic does that make you? 

i like how they were still able to build a loving relationship even though they’ve said the meanest things to each other. and what i mean when i say that i like is that i’m not big with the enemies to lovers trope because it’s so hard to write it in a way that feels serious and big enough to justify the enemies part of it without crossing the line to something irredeemable and i think you’ve done it perfectly. and that you named your work after that scene!! genius.

"Hi," he says again, something warm in his voice. "Y/N? My Y/N, or a fan who knows just what to say to get my number?" 

You go a bit blind. "Your Y/N."

It’s not how I want to be, and I need you to know that you’re right about me, I’m a loser, but I’m the kind of loser who wants to take you out to dinner and knock my soda in my lap or try to kiss you too soon, not the kind of loser who leaves you hanging.” He laughs like you had, like it’s being dragged out of him, and you realise that Eddie Munson is panicking on the other side. “Shit, can I take some of that back? I’m cool, I swear.”

Eddie finds that he hates having an almost-girlfriend. In his head, in his chest, you're his girl. He doesn’t know how to explain himself beyond that. It’s this feeling like heat, like light, like the kiss of a sunbeam on a cold day warming his skin. And it’s the blessed breeze in a heatwave, it’s ice on an ache, it’s the feeling of your skin, your pulse under his touch. Absence doesn’t make the heart grow fonder —it grabs wanting by the neck and squeezes all the air out. If he doesn’t get to see you soon he’s gonna lose it. 

He tried explaining it to Wayne down the phone, because he’s being a good nephew now and actually calling, but he couldn’t take himself seriously, all those cheesy metaphors like chewed cud in his mouth waiting to be swallowed and yacked back up. He said, “Does it always feel like this?”

And Wayne sort of laughed, a derisive snort to seal the deal, and said, “Eds, you ain’t the first kid to fall for a girl.”

jade baby that was BEAUTIFUL. definitely one of my favourite bits. so so beautifully written. that last part made me think of a james baldwin quote where he says (something around) that we tend to think our feelings are unprecedented in the history of the world <3 love that

He blames himself, thinking you were right after all – he did kiss you too soon. And for the wrong reasons. Now he knows what it feels like, knows what sound you make when you like it, how was he ever supposed to move past that? Your arm under his lips, or your hair against his cheek as he tried to hug the bone-deep dread out of your system, a faucet drip drip dripping by your thigh. He can’t remember what you smell like anymore, only that you smelled good, and he gets that this’ll be the nature of whatever relationship you two manage to cradle for a long while; he’d never ask you to follow him, and he thinks you’d rather die than do anything similar. 

this whole section too LIKE 😭 he knows he kissed her way too early and before they could do things right like apologize and start it all over but now HOW COULD HE NOT DO IT. also the way that he can’t remember what she smells like and knows that it’ll probably be like that again in the future cause it’s the kind of stuff you need to be around constantly to remember exactly but they would never ask her to leave everything she worked so hard to get behind and she would never do the same to him 😭

Better are your hands. No, better is your smile, because he knows you more than he should already and he knows what your smile means. You’re happy to see him, and you don’t want him to know it.

Eddie’s surprised at your honesty, not because you aren’t an honest person, but maybe because he’s used to skirting around the issue with you. There’s a mutual attitude that anything unsaid is untrue, and lately you’ve both said a ton of stuff you can't take back. He’s sorry, he wants to see you. You feel better when you’re with him. It’s embarrassing considering how little time you’ve spent together, and Eddie wants to change that.

Unfortunately for him, there’s a little more awkwardness to cut through, the shame of vulnerability or the realisation that you’re both standing on the precipice of something shiny and new. Suddenly, every word feels important. He has to make it clear that he’s repentant, and desperate, but only for you. 

i think that it makes so much sense that they’ve built this relationship on honesty and even like things you wouldn’t say to someone you’re only starting to build something with cause wasn’t it like that all the time for them? even when they were not lovey dovey but brutally mean to each other, weren’t they doing the exact same, being honesty but in a cruel way? i love that. love that you’ve built their relationship like that. also HES REPENTANT AND DESPERATE BUT ONLY FOR YOU 🤧

Over the phone, he's told you about Wayne and growing up, and about stuff he doesn’t think he’s told anyone before, not secret so much as mundanities that no one ever wanted to listen to. He sticks to mundane things for now. Like the phone calls between you both (new, occasional, but always too long), he talks until he runs out of things to say, and even then he drags it out to a painful threshold.

You give him a look that can only be described as loving. It’s pure affection, and if he weren't sitting he’d have fallen over from how it makes him feel. You lean forward until the top part of your face is on his cheek, your eyelashes twitching like a butterfly’s wing.

"I'm a big girl," you say after a short second of staring at him, the ridge of his nose and the curls silhouetting his slight hint of cheekbone. "I don't need you to take all of the blame."

i literally flinched when she said “like im your dog” cause i KNEW it was gonna hit too close to home for them. also the raw emotion of not caring about what he said but the fact that he knew it would upset her and it did. you have such a way of putting confusing and weird feelings into words i love you for that. also!!! still running back after every kick no matter the leg???? insanity. beautifully written but criminal.

He could guess why, he's not blind, but thinking it and knowing it are two different ponds. I say this every time but you always pull the parts that i think I might be writing just for me, it makes me so happy that you notice !! Their honesty with each other that fosters both meanness for each other and sweetness, like how their relationship might feel as though its happening in the wrong order but it happened this way because they're willing to be honest more often than they want to be right if that makes sense, it's my favourite type of person! It's scary to say sorry and they trip over themselves to do it anyways because Eddie feels so built for being a dick, even though what he said wasn't wrong

I love writing the loving parts and I don't know if im silly but with Eddie it comes easy the voice I have for him in my head is showful and scared but also willing to be vulnerable for the right reasons like he is in the show, plus hes cool and suave and also a huge loser and I want him too much and writing if it barks is like half love letter to him and half love letter to loser girls who keep getting kicked lol.

They're so messy! They're in love but they aren't, they barely know one another and they know each other too well!! All the good in all the bad ... its why they could hate each other so quickly, I think, cos they could see parts of themselves in each other they already didn't like perhaps, disguised as foreign grievances or maybe they're just idiots 😭

I really love doing the world building even though I don't know nothing about nothing, I don't know America or music, I can't play guitar, I don't know what that feels like, but i can relate to loving a craft and wanting to get so good at it even as you know there's someone better and someone with more practice and even more opportunity as most people feel too!! Plus world building is a joy beside seeing yourself in the world because it feels like setting a stage or painting a background, it makes everything feel more real for me and hopefully anyone reading

I was really struggling to pull the strings together and then one day I was showering and I thought HOLY SHIT!! there's no reason for Eddie to hold onto it anymore, he knows the reader isn't cruel intentionally, he knows she likes him, could love him, so there's no reason to keep it to himself! But I also knew that when he finally traded that in, the balance would start to shift, cos you don't ever really know everything about someone and especially not so soon into a relationship no matter how affectionate you feel, and of course the plot needs somewhere to go now they're in love. The plan for the next chapter is so awfully chaotic and I'm sure it won't stick cos it never does but love(lust, fondness, etc) doesn't suddenly scrape your flaws clean, they're still the people they were before (not entirely, but the deep rooted stuff remains), and it's gonna come back!

"you have such a way of putting confusing and weird feelings into words" you say this but you explained it better in the line before than I did after a paragraph 😭 no but that's the point of contention at this point —it's not that they said certain things, but that saying those things signals both the capability to be cruel (whcih we all have) and the willingness, as well as that read he has on her . It's a really squirmy feeling to be seen for what you fear you are so quickly, and it's bad! But they're saying sorry and trying to fix it because they care about each other, again the honesty ties in if you get me? It's hard to explain haha.

reader is loyal to the wrong people and its going to bite! And Eddie I think has done more growing than she has, she might have to catch up, but he's not perfect of course and im really excited to move forward with all of that so they can foster something special (after pain and agony :D)

Ohhh, a friend of mine is taking driving classes rn as well! Most of my other friends already have their driver’s license but only one/two of them actually drive regularly. As for me….. I’m actually terrified of cars and traffic so I won’t be getting my driver’s license ever I think 🥶. The evening classes do sound inconvenient af so I’m wishing you an extra amount of luck for your those and the tests!💕

My sleep schedule is also out of this world in the worst possible way so I feel you sm! It’s always easier to fuck it up more than to even just make it okay again. Uni starts again on Tuesday and my sleep schedule is not prepared but maybe that’ll be my motivation to improve it hahaha. I want to be hopeful and say we’re both gonna fix our sleep schedules🥲💞

I’ve been doing pretty great though! My finals went well (except for biology which I didn’t take) and I applied for art school which is incredibly exciting!!!!! Haven’t heard anything from the school yet but I can wait (as of rn but in a month I’ll probably rip out my hair over not having received anything yet haha). I already thought about posting the stuff I drew for my art portfolio on tumblr but idk how smart of a choice that is (I mean, my current banner is one of the works I put into my portfolio so I guess I already kinda crossed that line but I think I’ll wait with the other drawings). I’ll do it after the school has contacted me again :))!

I’m also finally seeing the sun again (give me all the vitamin D please) so my mental health is improving as well🌞. Im also actually so excited for Uni to start again with the lack of biology courses and the insane amount of English courses I’ll be taking and the fact that it’s gonna be good weather again and I’ll be able to meet up with people from Uni at the city’s central park and anywhere really and I hope I’ll make friends eventually 🌷. I already met some cool peeps but I haven’t had the courage to ask anyone to spend time outside of Uni yet :/. Been doing some reflecting on why that is and damn, past friendships really fucked me up big time💀. So I’m planning to be more open and take more initiative with friendships next semester and I’m very excited about that!

i'm doing a course to start taking driving classes. which... happens to be in the evening so that does kind of suck actually. but yk exciting to finally get it out of the way! and i'm also almost done with it by now, there's only this week (including the weekend uhm) and part of next week left and then i'll have a normal schedule again akdfhad

(i usually have an atrocious sleep schedule but somehow being out until almost 10 and having to eat dinner then is fucking it up even more. good to know a bad sleep schedule can always be worse if you try hard enough🙏, maybe that'll finally motivate me to improve it when i'm done with the course crying)

and i'm also crossing some things off the list of chores no one in the family has done in ages since i've accepted they're not happening otherwise. like taking my grandma's cat who didn't see a vet in almost 10 years to one last week and she shockingly didn't try to kill me!! (surprising because she's genuinely insane. there's baby photos of her trying to bite people's arteries open. i love her and she has issues. she's cute too, no matter how many of my relatives think she's butt ugly, it adds to her charm. she does look weird tho i admit that. also really fat, big girl, i had to buy a whole new carrier to even fit her into it 😭) big fat cat who hunts mice for fun, looks weird as hell, loves biting people and is also the most touch starved cuddly cat i know, she contains multitudes

she's fine but i'll have to take her again in a few weeks, i'm convinced she'll return to her killer roots now that she remembers what a transport carrier looks like. but i'll just be optimistic about it until her teeth are in my arm 👍

byproduct of that is also that i'm trying to exposure therapy my way through my crippling fear of making phone calls to officials and doctors and so on. thanks insane cat of my grandma 💗 it's a process but it's definitely getting easier

also side effect from all that is that i haven't really been on tumblr much the past 2 weeks either (i mean i say that, i am actually still on here but i usually just scroll and don't have time to reblog/post when i'm on the go. tumblrina is a chronic condition for me i fear)

but there's also not been that much production news for ST or anything i could have missed out on so good timing :D

He’d be ecstatic, he’d always wanted to be a dad. Your precious daughter was the result of a drunk one night stand and you had met Suga only a few times from a friend before, you couldn’t really careless though, she was amazing and your favorite person always asking if she could draw pictures with you when you’d try and write things. The problem was really that you didn’t know how to contact him as said friend ended up breaking their friendship with him.

Unfortunately, Yui was starting school today, unfortunate for you not her. Yui was insanely excited to start school as she bounced on her feet asking if you guys could leave yet.

“Just a second honey, a few more things and let mommy get a photo please?” You tell her as you open up your camera app, you see her pose and you snap a few photos.

“Ok ready?” She nods happily.

When you walked into the building there he was, his eyes widen dramatically as he drops his gaze to the little girl who’d suddenly gone nervous at the idea of being left here.

“Suga?” You ask quietly and he nods, it’s evident that he knows Yui is his daughter, it wasn’t like she didn’t look like him, she had a similar mole near her eye, his eye and hair color, and a matching piece of hair that as much as you tried to flatten simply wouldn’t stay.

“So this is uhmmm” he motions toward Yui and you know what he’s trying to ask, you nod a bit.

“I tried to contact you but you know with everything…maybe we can talk about this after school” you suggest as he nods taking hold of Yui’s hand as be guides her to sit with the rest of the kids.

“I’d like that”

Daichi

It ended bitterly, you couldn’t grasp that his job wasn’t dangerous.

“Daichi, and what do I do if you piss someone off one day and they hurt you?”

“That’s not going to happen!” He yells right back and before you knew it it was over.

Too stupid of an argument to apologize for as the both of you had taken it too far.

But almost a whole year later, you’ve got two precious babies, a boy and a girl and they’re the lights of your life.

“Good morning my loves” you coo turning the lights on in their nursery as they smile and giggle bouncing in their cribs, “who wants to go to the park?” You ask as if they could understand.

It felt like you’d been in the house for days, besides the sun was good for them. So you loaded them up into the double stroller and buckled them in placing a few snacks on the tray to keep them occupied as they giggled and babbled.

You smiled softly letting your mind lead your legs to the park not even thinking twice to go down main street…coincidentally the same street Daichi directs traffic on…

So when his eyes widen at the sight of you you begin speed walking down the street as he calls after you buzzing on his walkie talkie for someone to take over his position.

By the time he’d reached you he was panting hands on his knees as you leaned over the stroller the babies cooing happily.

“Daichi” you speak, your words come out sharp and harsh, harsher than you intend.

“Listen I just wanted to say I’m sorry, I see you moved on had kids,” his heart wants to break at the idea.

“Daichi” you mumble

“that’s fine, I just want you to know I still love you.” He finally catches his breath as you roll your eyes.

“Are you done?” He nods as you pull back the little visor on the stroller.

“They’re definitely yours…I didn’t settle down at all and I love you as well but we’re kind of a package deal babe” you tell him in almost a joking manner.

He’s nodding the most serious look on his face as he looks down at the twins both staring right back up, eyes the same dolor of brown as his are.

OH. MY. GOD.

Okay, so a little thing about the process of choosing what to comment on in these chapters. I often read through the whole chapter before I do any screengrabs or write any of my reactions, because sometimes there isn’t a panel that I’m like, oh, I need to talk about this. I kinda have to go through a second time and be like, hmm, what can I say anything about that isn’t just “Wow!” or “I liked that!” or “I didn’t like that!” I only wanna say something when I actually have something to say, but I also try to do at least 3 panels a chapter. So I actually go through the pages of a chapter two or three times sometimes in order to say something.

I say this because I TOTALLY MISSED WHAT WAS HAPPENING HERE when I was first reading through. I can’t tell you how, because there are close ups, there are multiple panels—I’m just a dummy. Aizawa gets hit with the “deleter round” in the leg, by Shiggy, and immediately, “rationally” decides to cut off his leg…before it can spread through his blood? I guess. I was kind of under the impression that the drug worked immediately, but I suppose it would need time to travel through the bloodstream. I will say that I’m not wholly convinced that that knife would be able to amputate his leg quickly enough…It doesn’t really look like it could cut through a femur, and Rocklock and Manual def don’t have quirks that can help with that. But whatever, I guess we’re just going to accept that.

Aizawa losing his leg is a spoiler I knew early on. I must have joined tumblr just about the time that this chapter came out, because there was all sorts of fanart of Aizawa not having a leg so I was like…well, I guess I’m in it now. But goodness, I thought that it was going to be a situation similar to Re-Destro cutting off his feet—guess I shoulda known that that wouldn’t be the case, though. Not interesting since Re-Destro already did it. Okay, moving on, but WOW.

SHOUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I’VE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU!!!! Omg, what an entrance. I knew that he had to come in at some point, because, unfortunately, I do know some spoilers 🥲 but what a moment!! This will be SO COOL in the anime. I wonder what music will be behind it??? Gosh, I wonder if Shiggy will get the AFO theme???

Shouto said that?? I mean, I guess he can—I forgot that he’s as fast as Baku and Deku are with his ice. But it seems really unusual for Shouto not to let people do their own thing. Seems OOC. I guess the three of them bonded a bit during their internship but…not that much? Look, I don’t doubt that Shouto loves Deku in some way, but…idk, it’s a little hard for me to wrap my head around him doing this. Hmm. I’ll have to think more.

Overall: See, this is why I’m so happy I’m doing these first impressions things. Yeah, it means it’s taken me, like, 8 months to read what shouldn’t have even taken me eight weeks to read, but my retention and comprehension is through the roof! Doing my little MS paint edits makes me notice things in the background that I wouldn’t have, and searching so closely for things to comment on has given me so much to think about in this world and about the characters. Plus, it helps to keep me from missing things like AIZWA BEING HIT WITH THE DELETER ROUND. Jesus christ.

All those panels of Eri, though 😭 That he was thinking of her. Tbh, I wasn’t 100% on what that was supposed to mean. Obvi we know that the rounds came from Eri. And that Aizawa’s close with her. But was it just reminding him of what he’s a hero for? Who he’s a hero for besides his 1-A (plus Shinsou) babies? Idk, but either way, it was cute. I love Dadzawa and Eri. Oof, what a way to loose your leg though. With that tiny knife. Eek.
