in which roommate!heeseung insists on decorating, and you're sure he's up to something (why has he got so much mistletoe?) ୨୧
tw. yellinggg, kissing, idk what rlly went through my head when writing this its kinda cringe bro wc. 887
“ok, i give up.” heeseung looks over in confusion, holding a box of christmas decorations in his hand.
“just tell me! i give up.”
“what are you talking about?” he squints, shifting the box in his arm.
you shift on the couch agitatedly, pausing your tv show. “why are you hanging all these up? like, do you want my room, or you feel bad because you broke something that’s mine, or you’re trying to hint you want-”
“it’s for christmas spirit!”
you roll your eyes. you’ve been trying to figure out your roommate’s obsession with decorating the apartment for the last week, but every time he’s answered with the same response. ‘christmas spirit.’ christmas spirit your ass. you’ll figure it out, you just need a couple more days.
“sure.”
he raises his eyebrows innocently. “i don’t know why you don’t believe me.”
“maybe because in the 3 years we’ve lived together you haven’t ever even lifted a finger to help me put decorations up?”
he shrugs. “change of heart.”
definitely up to something.
–
heeseung is being weird. he keeps trying to hide his decorations when you walk in on him, like he’s scared of you seeing them. even though you’ll see them anyway, because it’s your apartment.
after seeing him drop his box for the third time in two days, it clicks. a party. that explains his controlling of the decorations to look his way, and the secret phone calls he’s been making. you absolutely hate crowds, and your one rule the only time you’ve lived here has been no parties. he’s never complained before, but you suppose he’s finally gotten tired.
you’ve never felt more betrayed. heeseung, the most considerate roommate you’ve ever had, heeseung who keeps track of the amount of chocolate in your storage, heeseung who buys you things just because they reminded him of you, heeseung who is in charge of all the groceries, no discussion. heeseung, who you think you might be in love with, that heeseung, trying to throw a holiday party in your apartment without your permission when you leave tomorrow.
and as you see him emerge from the doorway, his head brushing the mistletoe he hung, fiery anger builds up inside you. how dare he hum, act all normal like you didn’t just watch him try to hide his decorations, how dare he do this secretly, how dare he make you love him while he’s betraying you like this?
so when he asks what you want him to make for dinner, you want to hit him in the face.
“you what?” he asks, and the way his nose scrunches in confusion only makes you angrier, and you snap.
“lee heeseung, i hate you!”
his doe eyes widen in surprise.
“what? i-”
“you’re so stupid! i can’t believe you would do all this just for a stupid holiday party! over me!”
you’ve stepped up to him, him backing up slightly as you walk forward.
“i don't know what-”
“and i wouldn’t have cared if you just asked! i’m not even gonna be here! but i thought that you at least cared about me enough to ask instead of sneaking around.”
“y/n, i-”
“and you find it so amusing when i ask you why, and this whole time it’s been for a party? you’ve been lying to me, sneaking around, just so you can throw a party without my permission? do i mean that little to you,” your words are choked by a sob, “that little, that-”
“y/n, i promise i-”
“that little, that a party is more important to you than me.” tears cross down your cheeks, tracing over the edges of your face.
heeseung’s brows are furrowed now, a concerned frown pushed onto his face. “y/n, i swear-”
how dare he act concerned, when it’s his fault.
a yell rips out of you, “you don’t get to care about me now! not after, not after this, not after i’ve spent three years loving you and you’ve just thrown all my trust away for a party.”
he’s broken now, you can see it on his face in the way his brows are drawn in and you know you’ve hurt him, and you feel awful. he watches you carefully, taking a deep breath before he moves almost imperceptibly closer.
“y/n.”
you sniff weakly, “yeah?”
his voice is soft with hurt. “i love you, too. and i’d never throw a party without your permission, and it wasn’t that, and i’m sorry i was being so secretive but i promise it wasn’t because of that and i think- i think you should look up.”
you hadn’t realized how close you were to him now, your hands brushing his. you turn your head up slowly, your lips almost pressing against his, and you see it.
the mistletoe.
“i love you, y/n. and i thought- i wanted to tell you, before you left and i didn’t know how, but since you were always decorating instead of me doing anything i wanted to do something nice for you, and then i realized maybe if i could put mistletoe up then you would get the hint and i wouldn’t have to say anything.”
his arms slide around your waist tentatively, pulling you into him, and you look down, falling into him as your lips push into his.

I'm interested on your sources for Bakugou not liking women canonically, not because I doubt them, but because I have been so sure he doesn't like women ever since the one hotsprings bit where he's the only guy in class that could not give less of a shit (even to be angry-flustered) about Mineta's boob speech and I'm curious if there's more to that
It’s late so I’m not gonna pull up panels or scans of light novel pages or anything, but there’s only two instances so I’ll tell you when they happen, how they happen, and where to find them.
-
The first time is in School Briefs vol. 6 chapter 2:
A girl shows up to their dorms on Valentine’s Day and asks the class to give the chocolate she made to “the prince of class 1-a” and the whole class just kinda starts looking for who it might be, asking the boys if they’ve saved any girls recently.
They stumble upon Katsuki and see a girl approaching him and they think he’s about to be confessed to because the girls flustered, but turns out she was only flustered cuz Katsuki’s pants were unzipped ajdbejdb.
Izuku takes it upon himself to tell the group “yeah kacchans never really been interested in girls and girls have never really been interested in him. He said they were a waste of time” and Katsuki hears Deku talking shit, and comes to attack him. But Ms Anri Yoshi made the choice to make the class notice how playful they were being? And they considered it heartwarming? Idk the whole thing felt super gay.
Anyway, spoiler, the prince of class 1a ended up being Mineta.
-
The second time was the end of chapter 427 to the beginning of chapter 428.
Katsuki was being chased in the hallway by the first year girls and looking legitimately scared and yelling that they need to be expelled and then even hiding behind Iida to get away from them.
Again, Izuku took it upon himself to explain that Katsuki never got much attention from girls and saying “I know that because I’m his childhood friend, just btw… just making sure you know🏳️🌈” (not actually what he said but it might as well have been what he said) and I actually think the 1:1 translation was different than the official one. I’ll have to find it but I probably won’t look for it until tomorrow.
But yeah… Katsuki doesn’t care for women in the least misogynistic way possible, and I think it’s probably the funniest canon thing about his character. He literally does nothing but think about boys and his future with Izuku

Troublesome Twin: Run
Warning list-
hunger games warning, abusive family, mother died in childbirth with the twins, Arachne, Coriolanus Snow, Dr. Gaul, violence, and murder.
I think that’s all, let me know if there’s more!
word count-1520
“Coryo,” Y/N breathed, as Eiran dealt with your father. “Don’t leave me. At least not until I know it’s safe.”
“I won’t love.” He cooed, stocking the hair away from y/n’s head. “I’m right here. We’ll both leave together for the games, yeah?”
“Okay,” Y/N breathed, closing her eyes. A tear fell from her face and Coryo quickly wiped it away.
“Love, what is it?” He asked, cupping Y/N’s face.
“I’m just tired, and scared.”
“Why are you scared, love? You have nothing to be afraid of.”
“I’m scared for tomorrow. I’m worried about Lucy Gray.”
“Darling, you’re injured, let me be the one on to worry about her.”
“But she has to win, Coryo. If-If she doesn’t we could lose everything. We could lose each other.”
“Shh, shh,” Coryo cooed, wiping the tears off of Y/N’s cheeks. “You don’t know that.”
“I do, Coryo.”
“Dean and my father will do everything in their powers to ruin our lives. We have to bend the rules.”
“What do you mean, love?”
“The compact that you gave me, your mothers,”
Y/N started, stopping to cough. Coryo propped her up some more and got her some water. She took a few sips, then let him put it down. “Once I’s safe, you should go home. And fill it with rat poison and give it to her to use. Check out the arena and see and see if you can find anything to help her.”
“Darling?”
“Coryo, she has to win. We have to win.”
“Okay my love.”
“Lucy Gray?” Coryo whisper yelled, in the dark, limping his way to the cage. “Hey.”
“You’re alive!” Lucy Gray exclaimed. “How’s Y/N? Is she-“
“She’s alive. She’ll be okay. She’s in the hospital right now, but she’ll be out before the games. She sent me here to help you. Those bombs, they have changed everything. They blew the walls out. So that means you can can escape up into the stands. There’s a hole down in the floor. Leads down to some tunnels. I’ve tried it and you can disappear down there. So the moment you hear that bell ring, you ignore the weapons in the middle and you run as fast as you can for that hole. And you find a place to hide down below. Alone.”
“Alone? No.”
“Yeah.”
“Jessup’s my friend.”
“No. The moment that bell rings, you can’t trust anyone. Not even Jessup. Just lay low down there until it’s safe to come out.”
“Thank you for taking care of me.”
“I can’t let you die. Y/N can’t either. You saved us. You saved Y/N, Lucy Gray.”
“I’m sorry,” Lucy Gray cried.
“Hey.”
“I’m more hopeful during the daytime. But when it gets dark, I just…”
“It’s okay,” Coryo let out, wiping her tears with his handkerchief. “It’s okay. I’m gonna get you out of here. I promise. Back to the Covey, okay?”
“Coryo?” Lucy Gray asked. “Is it real that how I do tomorrow will determine yours and Y/N’s future?”
“Yes. If you don’t win, we could lose each other for ever. So if you really want to win, if this is real, just tell me. If I’m going to risk everything, and my girlfriend. That song…”
“That song was payback, is all. My old boyfriend, Billy Taupe, he was cheating on me with the mayor’s daughter.”
“The girl from the reaping.”
“Yeah, she got crazy jealous. She had her pa read my name up on that stage and now everyone will know what they did to me.”
“Here,” Coryo let out, handing her the compact. “You take this.”
“No, no, it’s too fine.”
“No, it’s not a gifts. It’s a loan. It’s Y/N’s. She told me to give it to you. What’s in here, don’t touch it. Don’t even breathe it in because small amounts can be deadly. Look, I have seen what war does to people, okay? I’ve seen it. And there will come a time when you need this. When you need to act. We all do things we’re not proud of to survive. Hey. We’re gonna win this, Lucy Gray. We’re all three gonna win this, together.”
Coryo got back to the hospital and saw Y/N starting to drift back to sleep.
“Coryo,” Y/N asked, barely audible.
“I’m back love.” He cooed, kissing her head. “I did it. You need to get some sleep.”
“Lay with me?” Y/N asked.
“Of course my love.” Coryo took of his shoes, and carefully got in the bed next to Y/N. “I love you.”
“I love you more,” Y/N whispered, cuddling into him, laying her head on his chest as he kissed her head and wrapped his arms protectively around her.”
“Good morning, love,” Coryo whispered, looking at her.
“Hi,” Y/N let out. “It’s game day isn’t it?”
“It is my love. But first, let’s get you home yeah?” “Okay,” Y/N breathed.
“Erin got us a car, and I’ll help you walk.”
Y/N got up with the help of Coryo then went to the bathroom to change. Coryo helped her walk out as they made their way to the car.
“We’re home,” Coryo called, walking into the house, with Y/N clinging to his side.
“Oh, Y/N,” Grandma’am called, hugging Y/N in a big hug.
“Hi, Grandma’am.” Y/N smiled, hugging her back.
“I was so worried about you.”
“I’m okay, Grandma’am. Really. Just sore and tired, but I’ll be fine.”
Coryo knew that was a lie, but that you didn’t want Grandma’am to know the truth. He walked up to her and carefully put his hand on her shoulder. “Why don’t you go take a hot shower and get ready to go my love?”
“Okay,” Y/N sighed, letting go of Grandma’am and slowly making her way to the bathroom.
As Coryo and Y/N pulled up to where they would be watching the games when Coryo grabbed, Y/N’s hand.
“Are you going to be okay? I have no clue how long this will take. I know you’re in pain, so please don’t lie to me.”
“I’ll be okay, Coryo. As long as I have you right next to me, I’ll be fine.”
“Okay, my love.”
Coryo got out of the car, and helped Y/N out, holding her close to him as he could.
“Y/N,” Festus let out. “Good to see you’re doing better. I’m so sorry about your sister.”
“Thank you.” Y/N let out, holding onto Coryo as they continued walking to their seats.
“That friend of yours. Plinth,” Dean Highbottom said. “You might wanna find him a seat near the door.”
Coryo and Y/N looked at him as he walked off, then continued their way down.
“Coryo!” Sejanus called. “Y/N!”
“Hey,” Coryo smiled.
“Hi,” Y/N smiled, hugging him.
“How are you doing?” He asked, Y/N. “You all right?”
“Um, I’m doing better. Glad to be out of the hospital.”
“Over here, please,” a cameraman called, getting their attention.
Y/N wrapped both her arms around the two boys, standing in the middle of them as they smiled for the camera.
“Here we go,” Lucky called, walking in. “Here we go everyone. Come on. Come on, let’s go.” Coryo helped you to a seat and moved his a little closer to yours and sat next to you, grabbing your hand. “Sit down, Festus, come on. Everyone, as you know, we’re about to go live. Just because you’re not hosting, doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. Help me. Don’t get lost behind your screens. No yawning, no gum chewing. Keep your chins down, head up, shoulders back. And smile. It’s why we have teeth. Okay, get ready. We’re gonna start, guys. Five, four, three, two… Good morning, I’m Lucretius “Lucky” Flickerman. A man who needs no introduction. Weatherman, amateur magician, and today, I’m honored to say… first ever host of the Hunger Games. In my hand, an envelope, sealed. My prediction, the winner to be opened by me upon the big show’s end. Well well. They’re here. We’re getting word… All right, we’re about to start. We’re starting everyone, we’re starting. Happy Hunger Games. Remember, when your tribute dies, get out of here.”
The camera showed the tributs interesting the arena as Y/N held onto Coryo tighter, then it showed an unconscious Marcus hanging in the middle of the arena. People gasped from all over the room, as tears came to Y/N’s eyes, (she’s going to blame it on the Morphlen.)
“Ooh, Marcus,” Lucky called. Guess we can all sleep better now knowing he’s off the streets.”
Y/N jumped at the bang from Sejanus throwing his seat. “You monsters!” He yelled, making Y/N flinch more into Coryo. “All of you.”
Everyone watched as he stormed out, then turned back to the screen. Coryo saw a tear on Y/N’s cheek and wiped it off, giving her a quick kiss.
“Ten, nine,” Lucky counted. “Eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.”
“Run.” Coryo and Y/N whispered.

Best part | !soccer player eren
pairings: Eren x fem reader
Synopsis: Eren always had eyes on you, and same goes for you…
Warning: literally just kissing pero solo poquito :b
“Eren focus!” one of his teammates yells while he was too busy staring off at someone in the distance.
“Yeah sorry” He looks one more time to see if she was still there before getting body slammed by someone from the opposing team.
The whistle blew as the coach made a call for timeout. They all jogged up to the coach and huddled in a little circle.
“Yeager, what the fuck is over there that’s so important? You had had the ball! You can’t be distracted when you have the fucking ball!” The coach yelled rubbing his temples.
“Sorry it won’t happen again coach” he breathed heavily due to the running during the game.
“Yeah it won’t because you’re sitting out till you get your head back in the game”
“What? No I-“ the referee blew the whistle again signaling that the timeout clock was ending soon.
“Sit down” his coach demanded.
“Armin you’re in” he added.
“I know soccer is important to you, but when your head is up your ass Yeager…it’s not good for you or the team” his coach patted his back.
3-2
“Practice tomorrow at 5:00pm” that’s all the coach announced before leaving. He wasn’t impressed by the performance of his team today. Eren was one of his star players but the way he was so out of it had weighed the team down a lot.
Eren looked over at the bleachers seeing many people getting ready to leave the game. He spotted you as some boy from the other school had been all up on you. He packed his bag and made his way over to the bleachers.
“Hey eren what was up today?” Connie rubbed his hair messing it up more than it already was.
“Who’s that?” He pointed with his head toward the dude had been chatting it up with you.
“Don’t know, he just walked up over here after the game and started talking to her. Why you jelly?” Connie frowned making fun of Eren’s reaction.
“Text me” the boy yelled out as he was running back to his team.
You turned around giving Connie and Eren a creeped out look. Causing both of them to laugh.
“He was weird” you laughed along with them.
“I’m back did the game Finis-“ Sasha stopped seeing Eren as cotton candy was stuffed in her mouth.
Shortly Armin arrived, he seemed to be out of it since he had to pick up the team after the coach had sat Eren down.
“Hey good job you two, both of you guys at least made a point!” You smiled giving them both a high-five.
Eren had a fat crush on you since he first laid his eyes on you. He would obviously never do anything about since he was too scared to ruin the friendship between you two. You two had first seen each other in the lunch room as you were sitting there by yourself reading a book like the nerd you were. So Eren asked Sasha if she could invite you over to the table so he could have a chance to talk to you, which obviously worked out perfectly.
Sometimes you two would just hang out at Eren’s house while he worked out in his gym and you sat their doing school work accompanying him, sometimes you would try to work out with him for laughs and giggles.
“Let’s go to the diner! I’m starving.” Sasha suggested.
“I’m gonna pass…Annie is waiting for me to help her study for some test she has coming up” Armin looks up from his phone.
“Alright, good job today.” Eren daps up Armin as he was leaving.
Now it was just You, Sasha, Connie and Eren.
“I’m taking Sasha with me!” Connie grab’s Sasha’s wrist before they head over to Connie’s car.
“So what was up today?” You asked Eren while you two made your way to his car.
He had to think of a quick excuse. He couldn’t just say ‘I couldn’t keep my eyes off you.’
“These test have been kicking my butt, just out of it. You know?” He says while you arrived to his car as he opened the car door for you.
Seconds later he enters the car putting his bag in the back seat.
“You know I can always help you study” you offered.
He was lying though, he was actually getting really good grades on his test. But the thought of you coming over his house in his room to help him study got him excited. Anything minimal that had to do with you stirred him up.
After a couple conversations here and there you both finally arrived to the diner.
“They did not waste no time to get here.” You pointed at Sasha and Connie who had already been sitting down at booth.
Eren chuckled. He caught on what Connie and Saha were doing. Usually Sasha would always ride with you guys but this time Connie tried to get you and Eren to be alone just for the sake of Eren. And no he was sitting next to Sasha in the booth leaving you and Eren to share a seat next to each other.
You slid in the booth as Eren followed right behind. You four were just chatting when suddenly the waiter came over.
“Can I get anything for you guys?”
“Strawberry shake!” Sasha licked her lips just thinking about the shake.
“I’ll get the same” you followed shortly after.
“I’ll get a coke” Connie replied.
“I’ll also get a strawberry shake” Eren said lastly
“Oh you play soccer? For the school?” The waiter asked sneaking her hand on Eren’s shoulder.
“Uh yeah” he answered a bit confused on why she had been putting her hands on him.
“That’s cute, what your name?” The waiter asked another question. You and Sasha looked at each other. Connie noticed, the way your face changed when the waiter was all up on Eren.
“Yo can you just go get our drinks? I’m parched” he interrupted her.
Eren sighed out of relief as the waiter scoffed and walked away.
“That was weird” Sasha broke the silence laughing it off.
It would be a fat lie if you said you didn’t like Eren. You were head over heels for him. But you were also scared to even say anything fearing that it may ruin the friendship between you two.
“What are you gonna get?” Eren interrupted your thoughts by getting bit closer to you as you two were sharing a menu. You could feel his arm snake around behind you on the top of the booth seat.
“I’m not really that hungry, but I could go for some fries” You smiled at him.
Connie and Sasha had been staring at the cute duo in front of them. They high five each other as a ‘mission successful’.
Soon a different waiter arrived with your drinks.
“So we could only make the two shakes I apologize our blender stopped working after the second one. Is there anything else I could get for you?” The waiter asked Eren as you and Sasha took the shake.
Sasha kicked you under the table making you wince in pain a little. ‘Share’ she mouthed.
“Do you just wanna share?” You asked eren.
“You sure?”
You nod sliding the shake toward the middle of the two of you.
“I’m good.” He answered the waiter.
After a good hour and a half you all decided to head over Eren’s place to go watch a movie and chill.
“I still don’t understand how you can live here all alone.” You say looking at basically a mansion.
Eren watched you as you admired his house. He just imagined the day you lived here with him. The fantasies in his just kept flowing in his head watching every little movement of yours.
“Where is Sasha and Connie they should be here by now.” You ask looking at the time on your phone.
Eren looked at his phone seeing text Connie sent 5 mins ago ‘have fun but not too much ;)’ he smiled at the message.
“Connie and Sasha cancelled last minute, he just texted me.” he turned off his phone putting it on the counter.
“Oh, do you still want to hang out or nah?” You asked a bit nervous to hear his answer.
“Of course I do” he laughed.
“I’m gonna go hop in the shower really quick though. You can wait in my room if you want.”
You nod following him to his room.
The water was running in his bathroom as music was playing on his alexa. You could hear him humming along with music. ‘Sure thing’ by Miguel was playing.
You look down at your phone as you saw a message from Sasha.
‘Do it tonight or we’re never getting kbbq ever again.’
You chuckled knowing damn well she could not last a month without kbbq. You thought to yourself ‘maybe tonight is the night I’ll do it’.
Couple minutes passed Eren walked out the bathroom with just grey sweatpants on.
“Want to watch the movie in here or downstairs?” He asked during his hair but you had been too busy staring at his abs.
“Up here is fine” You fix your gaze back to his face.
You two got comfortable on his bed while the only light in the room was the huge tv in his room. There was an awkward gap between the two.
He put on the minions. You laughed at the choice of movie but didn’t complain.
A couple minutes in the movie you decided to ask the big question. This could go either really good or really bad, you thought to yourself.
“Eren-“
Y/n-“
You both looked at each other.
“Sorry you go first” He apologizes.
“No it’s okay you go” you wanted to hear what he was gonna say.
He sighed.
“I’ve been needing to really get this off my chest because it’s been bugging me since the first day I’ve laid my eyes on you.” He chuckled. “That day Sasha invited you to sit with us during lunch, was because I basically begged her to ask you because I was entirely way too nervous to go up myself and ask you. And ever since that day you never left my mind, you’re just like constantly on my mind nonstop and it making me crazy. Seeing all these other boys going up to you and hitting on you just makes me even crazier.”
You were a bit shocked at the sudden confession.
“And I don’t want to lose my chance to be with you because I’m over here being a little pussy.”
He finally looks over at you to see you smiling. He sighed in relieve seeing the expression on your face.
You jump on top of him embracing him tightly.
“You literally stole all the words out of my mouth.”
He felt the butterflies in his stomach as you say those words. He never thought you would’ve felt the same way.
“Okay…” he sighed breaking the big question “would you like to be my girlfriend?”
You smiled at him as you were on his lap and arms wrapped around him.
“Obviously”
Finally after so long you kissed him. Those lips that you were dying to feel, you finally felt them. And they were even better than you imagined.
Soon you and Eren were cuddling in his bed, while you wore one of his tshirts and a pair of his old soccer shorts that fit way too short and tight on him.
“Can you stay the night?” He asked half asleep, and that deep voice the way it tingled your ear while your attention was still on the movie.
“Mhm” you hummed back.
He squeezed you tighter making sure you wouldn’t leave his side.
The morning shortly arrived. Eren woke up due to the sun shining brightly in his room. He took a glance over at you. He smiled at the sight of how peacefully you were sleeping. The fantasy that he always had in mind had finally come true. You sleeping in his bed, with his clothes on. He closed his eyes before hugging you from behind causing you to move a little.

Ayayui?
Ayato's POV:
There's this one human holiday I'm fond of, I think it's called Halloween or something like that, humans get to dress up and scare each other, a concept called "trick or treat." I told Yui about it, and she said it was just for kids. Kids get to scare the living shit out of people on this day? I'd love to be a human child if that's the case. It wasn't halloween today or anything, but it would be fun to scare the fuck out of her, and fuck her in the process too.
When I was at the shopping district yesterday I found a ghostface mask, the ones that were used in that American Movie about the killings, it wasn't even scary, I've killed people in more creative ways before, they should take notes from me. Anyway, I ended up buying the mask, I'm going to use it for a scheme.
"Hey tiny tits, wanna watch a movie with me tonight? There's no school tomorrow." I ask her, then state. She gives me that suspicious look, she's really learning. "What movie..?" she questions. "It's an American movie, I know you suck at English so I purchased it with subtitles, what do you say?" I asked her again. She still is giving me hesitation. "You know I went out of my way to do this, the least you can do is watch it with me." I guilt trip and it works, she agrees. "Alright, I'll meet you in your room in a few minutes, get comfy." I command. "Why not the living room?" she asks, I smirk at her. "Cause' we might get horny and start fucking like rabbits." I let out, jokingly but I wasn't actually joking. She rolled her big eyes at me, anyway I went back to my room to retrieve the mask and I hid it well.
We plopped onto her bed, after I turned on the movie, "I said get comfy, this is your bed. Why are you sitting all the way over there?" I ask her, she scoots over a little closer and I grab her, getting us in a cuddling position. We start watching the movie, I believe this was Scream 1, the original it was old but still pretty good quality.
Finally the movie was over, “Ayato why do you like watching such strange movies at night?” She asks me, I yawn “they just help me sleep better, I’m gonna call it a night” I tell her, then leave. She didn’t seemed scared it wasn’t really scary to begin with. But I was going to wait for her to go into the bathroom to mess w her. I put on the ghost face mask and hide in her bathroom, I take out a dagger, it was a real dagger too. Maybe 10 mins go back and she finally goes into the bathroom, she took off her towel she was nice and naked, I wanted to just rail her by the sink instead at this point- that would be an even better idea. I ran up behind her and cover her mouth, holding the dagger to her throat. “What’s your favorite scary movie?” I say in an attempt to sound like a ghost face killer. “What the..?! Ayato let go of me!” She yelled out, “I’m the ghost of billy loomis if you watch that movie you summon me.” I said to her, trying to sound convincing who knows if it’ll work or not? Would be hilarious either way.
She tries wrestling out of my grasp but I have a secure grip on her, I pressed up myself against her ass, I got a little hard in the process I’ll admit that. “You like it rough don’t you pancake?” I say then realized I slipped up by calling her that. “Ayato…it really is you??” She sounded relieved. I grab her ass cheek, then bend her down, I wiggle out of my pants a little and slide my dick right into her, fuckkkk it felt so good that first insertion always does it. I start fucking her fast, pulling her head back and keeping my hand gripped to her throat, I kissed her shoulder blade . Fucking in this mask made me feel super hot. After a few minutes I change the position, I turn her to face me, and I lift her up fucking her standing up, she had her legs crossed on my wait and held me super close, I wasn’t going to drop her but I definitely was going to nut. A few more strokes and I really did.

Lone Wolf (Quinn Fabray x Reader part 4)
Warning: Bullying, Angst, Fluff
My car was in the shop for the week getting fixed I had blown a gasket and the engine was malfunctioning. So when Quinn dropped off my sister the day before my car got taken in. I asked her is she could pick me up I knew that it would undermine her social status. But I still really needed someone to pick me up and bring to school and back home. Luckily Quinn said yes. Why did she say yes. There seemed to be a shift in her like her hormones were unbalanced.
That morning she picked both me and my sister up. Brittnay and Santana were already in the car and the entire back row was taken up with those three so I went up front and sat. It was a nice car for being a sophomores first car.
That day in glee club I was sitting by Myself at the piano just watching everybody in the classroom. Quinn and Finn seemed really awkward together Finn seemed distant and then Brittnay and Santana were flirting in the back although they would never admit it. They were doing something together or at least there was feelings.
Then Mr.Schue came in and handed out a song from West Side Story. Giving Tina the lead and of course Rachel made a big deal about West Side story being her part. Which West Side story was one of my favorite movies.
“Oh, Come on Rachel your no where close to being Maria. Maria is a hot, confident, sexy latina woman. So do I agree that Tina is best for this part no but is she better than you yes. Although I do believe that the perfect embodiment of the character is Santana.” I said.
”I’m a jet” Mercedes asked
I was walking through the hallways and saw that Quinn was crying as Finn walked after her. So I stopped to make sure he didn’t hit her or anything. But I heard News that broke my heart. There stood two sophomores and the girl telling the boy that he would be a father. That was until she told him how it happened. I don’t know much about getting pregnant but I know the basics and her story was not adding up. She cheated on Finn but with who is the question.
I went to talk to Mr. Schue in the auditorium. I saw Tina tell Mr. Schue that she shouldn’t have the solo. That way the glee club could still have Rachel. I forgot what I was going to talk to Mr.Schue about and it could wait as I saw Tina leave with sad eyes I had to follow.
“Hay Tina wait up” I yelled
“What?” She replied
“Look you deserve that solo. You have a wonderful singing voice Mr.Schue is stupid he wastes a lot of the talents he has because he is too scared to stand up to cry baby berry. It sucks to see you give up something you deserve because of her. Look I’m your Mentor, Your older sister okay. I want to adopt you and unless another upperclassman has already adopted you. All you freshman in Glee are mine okay. Which means I’m gonna look out for you. So I need you to do something. I need you to try to not let yourself be walked on.” I told her
“Okay, so what do I call you now?” She asked
“You can call me whatever you like. That’s appropriate. If you have the freshman’s numbers I would leave to take you all to breadsticks. Tomorrow after Glee.” I said
“Of course I know that I would love that, I can’t speak for the Artie though. I’m sure he will also be on bored.” She replied
I was getting used to my senior year I wondered why I had never gotten close to anyone before. Quinn picked us up and drove us all home. I felt bad Quinn couldn’t tell anybody but she was struggling with keeping the pregnancy a secret. But she wouldn’t let anybody know. The next day it was raining and I was walking through the parking lot when I saw Quinn running crying with a book over her head. I ran over to her and gave her my umbrella and ran to the car with her. She didn’t want to talk to anyone but also knew that I didn’t have anything to gain from telling anybody. Plus she knew that I had overheard her tell Finn that she was pregnant. When we both got into the car. There was a crazy lady already sitting in the car.
“How many weeks along are you can’t be more than five or six which means you probably haven’t told you parents yet” Crazy lady asked
“I’m sorry but who are you?”Quinn asked
“A psychopath. This is how every horror movie starts” I state
“I’m just someone who wants to help.” Crazy lady said
“I don’t need your help. Get the hell out of my car.” Quinn said
“really.” Crazy lady asked
“Yes get out of her car.” I yelled
“tell you friend in the back to shut up. What kind of prenatal vitamins are you taking? Yeah. Three times a day or your baby will be ugly.” Crazy lady stated
“let me guess your parents didn’t take them with you and that how you know?” I asked
“Y/N stop talking pls.” Quinn stated
“Yes Mam” I said
“I don’t understand why you’re helping me. What do you want from me.” Quinn asked her
“I want your baby Quinn. You see I told my husband I’m pregnant and I’m really not. Here’s my number.” Crazy lady stated
the crazy lady got out of the car
“Quinn let me talk too you pls. I know where you are. Look before I found out I like women. I dated a dude he was a senior my freshman year captian of the Lacrosse team and Quarterback. I got pregnant at the end of the year. He left me he took off for college and he left me. I had the baby it was an open adoption so when she turns 18 she can find me if she wants. She lives on a farm in Kansas. Quinn I got you okay. Trust me I know how scared and Worried you are. I know you’re scared to tell your religious parents because they will probably kick you out. I got you okay.” I said
She broke down in my arms as I rubbed her back.
“Can you really help me? I really need a friend in my corner who understands.” Quinn said
“Yes, Quinn I got you.” I said
I showed up to the football game to support. My stupid sister, Quinn, Santana, Brittnay, Kurt and Finn. I walked up the stairs I saw my boss and went and sat next to him.
“At least I know someone understands the game.” Burt said
“It’s good to see you too sir.” I said “Can I sit next to you?”
“Of course you can.” Burt said
I sat next to Burt and watched as the team failed miserably.
Until single ladies started to play and they all started to dance you couldn’t help to stop yourself from laughing. But then Kurt made the game winning kick. Me and Burt both jumped up and hugged he was shouting that’s my son.
I got in Quinn’s car after. Santana and Brittnay were having a what they called sleepover at Brittnay’s house so her mother picked them up. Quinn was driving me, my sister and Finn. She seemed really tired after the game so I offered to drive and she gladly excepted. We drove to a local ice cream shop and I payed for everyone to get ice cream to celebrate. I got home helped my sister with homework. Did like two problems of mine it was due two weeks ago. I did my night time routine so I didn’t get acne and got pjs on and was laying in bed when I got a phone call from Kurt.
“Hello Kurt what is it? Are you okay?” I asked
“Yes I’m fine I came out to my dad.” Kurt said
“Oh my god Kurt I’m so proud of you! What did he say?” I asked
“He said he’s known since I was three.” Kurt said
“Okay so he accepts you and you are safe at your home?” I asked
“Yes I’m safe.” Kurt said
“Kurt one last thing you did great today. I’m proud of you.” I said
The next day after Quinn finished talking to Finn. Puck tried to expose himself as the father. I walked up with a drink in hand.
“How’s your morning sickness?” I asked
“It sucks” she said
“I drank this when I was pregnant it really helped me with my morning sickness.” I replied
“What is it?” She asked
“it’s a ginger smoothie it dose not taste the best but it works.” I responded
“Thank you Y/n” She said
“Anytime and when the morning sickness gets really bad you can come to me. You can come to me or if your family ever finds out and won’t let you stay which will be stupidest decision they ever make you can stay at my house if you need.” I told her
During Glee club that day. Mr.Schue said that a couple of footballers would be joining the club. Puck who was going to make this situation with Quinn 10 times worse. Matt who my sister ran into the arms of and hugged and kissed Gross 🤮 and Mike Chang who I hadn’t really met yet but he looked nice. I stood near Quinn just in case she needed anything until Finn came over and pushed me out of the way I went and sat next to Kurt.

Make It Out Alive
[PART TWO OF THREE]
Gn!Reader//Bestfriend!Skz//Explicit Language//Triggering Themes such as; mentions of d3ad b0dies, ghosts, demons, bl00d, brief mention of vom!t, reader gets mildly injured
Genre; Crack/Humor, Supernatural
~~~~|~~~~
“Breathe Y/n” you hear Lee Know say to you as you pace around the room, occasionally looking up at the window that was still very much intact.
“I heard it smash!” You stress for the umpteenth time. You did hear the window break, everyone did.
The doorknob broke, and now this? All you could think about is whether or not you’d ever leave that house. Would you ever see your family again? Your pets? Hell, would you even see tomorrow morning?
“Any signal yet Innie?” Hyunjin asks, still trying to get at least one bar on his phone. Much to your dismay, I.N says no- which only makes you start to cry.
“Han why did I let you talk me into this!?”
“Y/n I’m sorry! I just wanted to find the money”
“Well look where that got us!” Changbin yells, “Who knows if we’ll ever make it out of here”
“Don’t yell at him, you were on board with the whole idea. It’s not like you tried to talk him out of it” Lee Know says, glaring at his younger friend
“And neither did you Hyung. Aren’t you supposed to be the smart one?”
“We were ALL on board. Stop blaming Jisung and start trying to figure out ways to get us the fuck outta here” Chan yells, frustrated with his friends.
Everyone, scared to get in Chan’s bad side, goes to look around to see if there are anymore exits
“Should I check upstairs?” Hyunjin asked. Chan immediately shakes his head
“No. If we go upstairs we’re all gonna go. No one goes anywhere alone while we’re in here”
The group nods and you silently admire Chan’s leadership skills. He managed to remain levelheaded despite the situation, and you appreciated that.
“Okay, so there’s no back door but there is a basement and an upstairs. I’m almost sure there’s an exit in the basement, and I’m not against breaking a window upstairs and escaping that way”
“That’s if the window doesn’t magically fix itself and the door handle doesn’t break off” I.N mumbles
“I know this is scary as shit, but we all have to remain calm and stay together.”
You all decide to look around the floor you were on one more time before going upstairs. Chan leads you, and Changbin is behind the group. Lee know makes sure to take several glances back to make sure nothing is gonna happen to his younger friend
“Let’s all hold hands too” Seungmin says once you reach the top floor. You all agree and walk in a straight line while holding firmly to someone. Chan peaks in one bedroom and finds nothing
“Are we still looking for the money?” Felix questions, you shrug but Chan sighs
“I’m looking for the safest way out. The door in the basement may be the best way but something is telling me to avoid going down there at all costs”
“And if we happen to stumble across the money-”
“Han Jisung I swear to God” Lee Know warns, immediately shutting him up .
You all keep walking, but you have the sudden urge to check on your friends
“Everyone when I call your name say here”
No one questions your randomness, and answers when you call
“Channie?”
“Here”
“Lixie?”
“Right here”
“Seungmin, I.N?”
“Here”
“Here”
“Hyunjin and Hannie?”
“Here”
“Here”
“Lee Know and Changbin?”
“Here”
…
“Changbin?” You ask again, already feeling tears pool in your eyes
Lee know immediately looks back, confused when he doesn’t see Changbin.
“I swear I just looked back at him! And he was holding my hand, I felt it!”
“Oh God” You stress, letting go of Felix’s hand only for him to grab you a second later
“We’re gonna find him. We’re not leaving without him” Chan assures
You could feel the fear in your body, rising up to your throat and threatening to make you throw up.
Lee Know looks back on more time before speaking; “Let’s split into two groups. I know we should stay together but we’ll find him easier that way”
“Booooo, bad idea” Hyunjin immediately said, making his hyung glare at him. You thought about it, splitting up could help to find Changbin but you didn’t want to risk another one if your friends going missing.
You could tell Chan was thinking it over to, you both shared a brief moment of eye-contact before he sighs and let’s go of Han’s hand.
“Alright. Me, Hyunjin, Felix, and I.N. Y/N, Lee Know, Seungmin, and Han. Hold each other’s hands and do NOT wander off”
You all nod and break off into the small groups. Your group goes to the left while Chan’s stay to the right. The plan was simple; find Changbin and get the hell out.
“He wouldn’t just wander off” You say, checking to make sure all of your group was still together
“One second he was behind me and the other second he wasn’t. I literally felt his hand up until I turned around” Lee Know utters. His hand was shaking violently in yours and you wished you could comfort him, but you were just as scared.
“Okay, let’s think. Why would Changbin Hyung walk off?”
“He wouldn’t” You quickly said, “I don’t think he walked off”
Han sighs and looks you in your eye. You both know you were thinking the same thing, and you both know that’s probably what happened.
Something took Changbin. It makes sense, let’s not forget about the whole “window still intact after breaking” thing.
“I heard there were demons in here.”
“Let’s hope it was a ghost” Seungmin says, “I feel like we can fight off a ghost”
Lee Know groans and squeezes your hand a bit tighter, “Let’s hope we’re wrong and Changbin just had to piss or something”
“HYUUUUUUUNNNGGGGG” Han suddenly yelled, startling you.
“Shush Han. We don’t wanna draw attention to our selves.”
“Y/N, the ghosts and/or demons already know we’re in here.”
You all walk into a random bedroom. Everything was covered in dust. There was a twin sized bed in the right corner of the room with a small dresser on the opposite wall. Graffiti was on the walls, along with some rather large spiders. You could have sworn you heard a cat hissing from under the bed as well.
On the dresser, however, was a….phone?
“That looks like Changbin’s phone” You say. All four of you walked hand-in-hand to the dressar and looked down at the phone. You picked it up and saw it was Changbin’s, meaning he had to be in that room at some point.
“Okay so he was in here.” You confirm, stuffing the phone in your jacket pocket, “But why?”
Suddenly, the phone started to vibrate in your pocket. All four of you stared at it once you fished it back out.
“I thought we had no service”
“We didn’t”
The contact read “Unknown” and kept ringing way past the usual 25 seconds.
Lee Know suddenly snatched the phone and answered it, putting it on speaker
“Hello?” He asked
“Hyung?” You heard Changbin ask, “It’s dark”
“Where are you?”
“I don’t know who they were, but they brought me in here”
“Listen to me Bin, try to remember where you are”
“Big scary monsters”
“Bin-”
“We gotta get outta here hyung. Or they’re gonna get us”
Then he started to laugh…hysterically. You jumped, feeling tears escape your eyes.
“Get the others. You shouldn’t have split up like that” Changbin says, suddenly serious
“Binnie just tell us where you are” You beg
“They said they’re gonna give me back. They said the game’s not fun unless all of us gets to play”
You heard footsteps from the hallway, getting louder and louder as they made their way towards you.
“Get the others” Changbin says again, more sternly, “Don’t let them get to them first. They won’t be so nice with them”
“CHAN” You scream, “CHAN PLEASE”
Rapid footsteps took the place of the ones from before, and you soon saw your other friends pile into the room.
“What’s wrong? Did you find Bin?”
“He’s on the phone” you say
“…What phone?”
You look down at Lee Know’s hand and find that the phone is gone. You also start to feel something drip down on you.
You make the mistake of looking up, seeing a red liquid seep from the ceiling.
Then, a bang. Where did it from from?
“Is this blood?” You ask, watching as the liquid starts to run down the walls. The isolated drips turn into a rain shower.
Another bang, this time you hear it from inside the walls.
Then screaming, but the screams sound familiar.
“WE HAVE TO GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE” Han yells, gagging as the liquid continues to fall over you all.
You, however, begin to claw at the graffitied wallpaper. Not stopping until you find a hidden door.
There’s no knob, so you kick it, surprisingly bursting it open on your first try.
And there he is, scared out of his mind. He’s soaking wet, shaking like he’s cold.
Chan grabs Changbin and you all run out the room, red liquid all over you.
“Bin are you okay?” Chan asked. Changbin nods, unable to recall what happened.
“I-I’m sorry. I was with you guys then I was here. Then I heard you guys, I was screaming but you couldn’t hear me at first”
“Then you called us, right?” Seungmin questioned, making Changbin tilt his head.
“Call you? How could I call you? We have no service Min”
“But your phone-”
“-is in my pocket? And it died a couple minutes after we walked into the house”
You felt a familiar sense of urgency wash over you. It makes sense, how could Changbin call you if it was his phone that rang?
But that couldn’t have been his phone-if it had been in his pocket.
But you know what you saw. Same Lock Screen, same case.
Who called you? Who’s voice was that, who was pretending to be your friend?
“We gotta get the fuck up outta here” You say, looking at your friends
"Screech how are you pumping out three chapters of this fic in a few weeks" deadass I don't know. Please do not expect this level of output moving forward, I just hit my stride out of nowhere and this chapter came to me really quickly. I have no idea if the next one will be as fast. Anyways, here's a new chapter!
the unknowable tomorrow | a tristamp fanfic part eleven: wolfwood
cw: gun violence, self harm, religious trauma (mentioned)
.
When Wolfwood emerged from the portal, he was tense and ready for anything. Which was a damn good thing, seeing how his sudden appearance scared the daylights out of a man with a rifle.
“…hi.”
The man pointed the gun at him. Instinct kicked in. Whoever this guy was, he clearly wasn’t an experienced fighter. Wolfwood had him disarmed and unconscious in seconds. “Amateur hour,” he grumbled as he checked the ammo left in the rifle.
He couldn’t get too overconfident, though. He’d lost his only vial; if he got shot, he’d stay shot. The twinge in his ankle, at least, gave him a reminder of what pain had felt like before.
More shots went off nearby. Wolfwood immediately dropped down to cover and started scanning the area. He was on a roof in a town that looked a lore more like how he remembered town, just smaller and newer. The shots weren’t directed at him; it sounded like at least three distinct guns, one on a nearby roof, two more coming from windows, all aimed down onto the streets. “Will you quit that!?” someone yelled in frustration.
“Will you stop shooting at me if I do?” called back someone else.
Wolfwood knew that voice.
A quick scan on the streets revealed a familiar tuft of blond hair peering out from an alleyway. I’m gonna kill him, Wolfwood thought. Assuming whoever was shooting at him didn’t kill him first.
“I’m just trying to leave! There’s no reason for all this!” Vash ducked back into the alley. “Bullets are hard to get, you know.”
“So are Plant parts. So, you can either hand it back over or – “
Vash tossed something out of the alley. It shattered when it hit the ground, letting out plumes of smoke and a really nasty smell. Vash used the distraction of it to dart out of the alley and towards Wolfwood’s building. It was a smart move, but the smoke hadn’t spread enough to hide him from the guy on the roof.
Crack!
Vash stumbled and hit the dirt. Wolfwood immediately aimed and fired. He hit something, if the puff of blood was anything to go by, but if couldn’t tell if the shot had been fatal. No time to double-check. He ran to his left, throwing the rifle’s strap over his shoulder as he made his way to the edge of the roof. More shots were fired, but he didn’t feel any heading towards him. Good; he still had the element of surprise.
He was just barely able to lower himself down and use the bricks as footholds to get to the alley without making his ankle worse. From there, Wolfwood ran towards Vash. He hadn’t gotten back up, instead curling up with his head over his hands. Fortunately, the smoke had spread out enough to give Wolfwood some cover as he ran over. “The shit did you walk into?!” Wolfwood yelled.
Vash looked up. “Nico?!”
Wolfwood grabbed his jacket and started dragging him. “I swear, you’re gonna get yourself killed one day without me!” One shot came dangerously close to hitting them. “C’mon, get up!”
Vash struggled to his feet. He had to lean on Wolfwood to run into the alley, and he left a blood trail as he went. Damn it. Hopefully it wasn’t too bad. Wolfwood shoved Vash in first before backing in, rifle aimed, trying to see through the smoke. “How many?”
“Uhm…six. Seven? Maybe six?” Vash collapsed with a gasp and started rummaging through his pockets. “Did you get the guy on the roof?”
“I got both guys on the roof. You’re welcome.” Wolfwood glanced back Vash’s way. Vash was wrapping some gauze around his leg. It was hard to tell how bad it was when he was wearing black. “What’d you do?”
“It’s a long story.” Vash finished tying off the bandage and then reached into his coat again. He found something in his inner pocket, then relaxed. “I’ll tell you once we’re out of here.”
“Sure. Fine.” There was a pistol strapped to Vash’s leg—not just a pistol, Wolfwood realized, but the pistol. “Please tell me you have ammo.”
Vash laughed sheepishly. Wolfwood groaned. “Gotta do everything around here…” He fished around in his pockets until he found the two .22 bullets and tossed them to Vash. “At least tell me you have an exit?”
“This way.” Vash caught the bullets easily, but had a harder time standing up. He was able to hobble on his own, at least. “Just one thomas, though.”
“I can live with that.”
They stuck to the shadows as best they could, but the place was lousy with people who were really pissed at Vash for some reason. It felt like they barely made any progress with how often they had to duck back behind corners or wait behind a trash can until people had run by. Wolfwood thought about pressing the issue of what the hell Vash had done, but kept the question in his back pocket. Something told him the answer was going to deserve a lecture, and they really didn’t have time for that.
After enough close calls to take years off Wolfwood’s life, they finally managed to get to the edge of town. The only thing standing between them and a much speedier exit was the stretch of sand between them and the cluster of rocks Vash had hidden his thomas in. “I don’t hear anyone,” Vash whispered.
Wolfwood grabbed his shoulder and tilted his head. Vash was right; it was quiet, but that didn’t make him feel much safer. There could still be people in the buildings.
But if you stay here, you’re definitely going to get caught. Make a call, and do it fast.
“Count of three,” he whispered. “Okay?” Vash nodded. “One…two…go.”
They took off.
Shouts started following not long after, but Wolfwood was prepared for that. He spun around, rifle aimed. Just one guy, but from the fuss he was raising, it wouldn’t be long until there were more.
The rifle felt light in his hands compared to the Punisher, but any weapon could do some damage if you knew how. And the Eye had made sure Wolfwood knew how.
He pulled the trigger. Another cloud of blood. The screams suddenly stopped. Wolfwood turned around in time to see that Vash had stopped running. He looked upset.
Nope. We’re not doing this today.
Wolfwood threw the rifle back over his shoulder and grabbed Vash as he ran past him. “Don’t you dare!”
“But he might be – “
“Not our problem!” Wolfwood expected Vash to put up more of a fight, but even though he was a fully grown adult now, he didn’t. He must’ve been just young enough to remember who was in charge. Good thing, too; Wolfwood might’ve been strong enough to carry him, but flailing limbs would bring him down just as quicky as excess weight.
He didn’t set Vash down until they were behind the rocks and the thomas was clearly in sight. Vash tried to run back out right away. Wolfwood grabbed his arm. “We’ve got to go!”
“But that man’s hurt!”
“And you’ll be dead if you go back there! And I’ll be dead from following you!” Wolfwood grabbed Vash’s shoulders. “His buddies will look after him. We’ve got to worry about us. Okay?! So either you can get on the thomas or I can knock you out. Your call.”
Vash stared at Wolfwood as he weighed his options. Wolfwood’s life against that of a total stranger. His eyes flooded with tears. They were blue, not gold, but for a second Wolfwood felt a stab of guilt as he remembered Livio. It had always been so easy to move the kid to tears—even gentleness could do it—but he always felt bad when he did.
But sometimes it was for his own good. And thank God Vash made the right call, getting on the thomas without another word. He gave Wolfwood a hand up, and they rode away.
Wolfwood set his attention on their back as quickly as possible. There was no way it would be this easy. “What kind of transportation did they have?” he asked. Nothing. “Vash?” Still nothing. Wolfwood kicked him. “C’mon, Blondie, you’ve got to tell me what we’re dealing with, here.”
Vash’s only response was to change their direction. Wolfwood risked leaning over to try and get a look at his face. There were a few tear tracks running down his cheeks, but his expression was more determined and frustrated than sad. “Yes or no, do you know where we’re going?” Wolfwood asked. Vash nodded. “Okay. Fine. I’ll watch out backs.”
That was going to be easier said than done. Wolfwood was still absolute shit at riding, and there was a good risk if he had to shoot, he’d fall off. Worry about that if it happens. Right now, you’re the eyes and ears.
For a while, there was nothing—just enough time that Wolfwood started to feel hopeful. Then, the wind carried the distinctive sound of an engine to them.
Damn it. Of course.
“We’ve got company.” Wolfwood squinted against the sunlight. “I think…two cars? Do they have a charging station?” Vash changed directions again. “Is the ship nearby? Rock structures, canyons…anywhere we can lose them?” Nothing. “Vash.”
“I’ve got it,” Vash said finally.
“Can I get a hint?”
“I unplugged their cars so they won’t be running on full charge. And a storm’s coming.”
“You had me until the second part.”
“They can’t use solar panels in a storm, can they? That gives us more of a chance to get away.”
Damn it. The logic was there. Wolfwood hated that. “Where are we going, anyway?”
“Mobile colony. They should be about a day away by now.” Vash glanced over his shoulder, then urged the thomas faster. “Hold on.”
Wolfwood did, but made sure to check over his shoulder as they went. That was the thing about transportation in a No Man’s Land: Cars were faster than a thomas and provided more shelter, but a thomas could go more places and didn’t have to worry about a battery. In a chase, it came down to whether or not the bird could evade the vehicle until it overheated or ran out of juice. Those weren’t the kind of odds that Wolfwood liked to play with; it was why he’d favored a bike, until he’d lost it the same day Vash picked him up.
I really wish I had Angelina right now. It’d give him a feeling of control over the situation, if nothing else.
The storm snuck up on them slowly, starting as a distant haze that they raced into. Visibility went down the deeper they went. The sound of the cars chased them into the sand, but was eventually blocked out by the wind. Wolfwood had to duck his head and use Vash as a shield against the storm. After what seemed like an eternity of swirling sand and tension, Vash steered them into a cluster of stone and metal. It looked like semi-collapsed building. Wolfwood wasn’t sure if he trusted it, but it kept the sand out, so he decided to keep his doubts to himself. The way Vash nearly fell over when he got off the thomas was a reminder that he had other things to worry about. “Easy…”
“I’m fine,” Vash said immediately. He glanced down, then did a double-take. He was definitely bleeding out of the bandage, not by a lot, but enough to be noticeable. “Uhm…”
Wolfwood rolled his eyes as he got off the thomas. “Sit. Now.” He started rummaging through the saddlebags. “You got a first aid kit?”
“It’s in the next pouch over…no, to the left.” Wolfwood heard the sound of shifting sand as Vash sat down with a huff. “It’s really not that bad.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Wolfwood paused to stick a cigarette in his mouth before pulling out the aid kit. “I’m still taking a look.”
There was a lot more he wanted to say, a lot more questions he wanted to ask. But the image of Vash’s tear-filled eyes kept dancing through his head. He was much older now—an adult, really, basically the same face as the man he’d known once, right down to the sunglasses—but those eyes were still too young. This wasn’t the Vash with over a century of experience. Hell, for all Wolfwood knew, he was only an adult in body, not in years or in mind. Wolfwood knew a thing or two about how that felt.
So, for now, he’d do what he’d do with the kids. Fix the scraped knee first. Lecture them about safety later. Even if he was really tempted to start lecturing.
When he turned around, Vash was carefully peeling up the leg of his pants, wincing as he did. “How bad does it feel?” Wolfwood asked as he fumbled through his pockets for his lighter.
“Less bad than getting my arm cut off,” Vash answered immediately.
“Yeah, yeah, wise guy…where the fuck is my…”
Vash pulled something out of his pocket, gave it a practiced twirl, and turned it on. The lighter. Wolfwood had forgotten he’d given it to him. Vash’s smile looked so much younger then, almost like the teenager of the last time. “I refilled it for you,” he said.
Despite his frustration, Wolfwood smiled. “Appreciate it.” He lit his cigarette before crouching next to Vash. “All right, let me take a look.”
Whatever had hit Vash had cut a trench through his leg. There was no debris stuck in there, at least none he could find, so he focused on getting it cleaned and stitched back up. Vash didn’t squirm, limiting his discomfort to a pained grimace and the occasional mutter of ow, ow, ow. “Should’ve thrown two of those things if you didn’t want to get hit,” Wolfwood noted as he tied off the last stitch.
“That was the only one I had,” Vash admitted. “I wasn’t even sure it would work, so I think this is kind of a win?” His grin grew even more sheepish as Wolfwood glared at him. “Not a win?”
“No.” Wolfwood wrapped a bandage around Vash’s leg. “Feel better?”
“Lots. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Wolfwood replied. Then, he flicked Vash between the eyes hard as he could.
“Ow?!” Vash squawked.
“What the hell was that back there?”
“I…” Vash’s cheeks went pink. “I know that wasn’t my best moment…”
“You got shot. What did you do?!”
“What makes you think I did something?” Vash crossed his arms and pouted. “Maybe they’re just mean. Did you consider that?”
Wolfwood crossed his arms right back. It became a standoff, the two of them staring at each other as the wind whistled outside and Vash’s thomas fruitlessly nudged through the sand for something to eat. Vash finally relented. “I…kinda…took something,” he mumbled.
“…you what.”
“It wasn’t stealing! Listen.” Vash pulled something out of his coat’s inner pocket and held it up. “Do you know what this is?”
Wolfwood had no idea. It looked like a little piece of metal with some squiggles on it, suspended in a clear container. “Doesn’t look like anything worth getting shot over,” he said.
“This is one of the primary components for managing Plant output,” Vash said. “They’re hard to get. Ship Three can technically still make them, but it’s really labor-intensive. Those people stole it from another group’s water plant.”
“So, you volunteered to steal it back?”
“That wasn’t the original plan. I wanted to just talk to them. I thought…” Vash carefully cradled the part in his hands. “…maybe they took it because they needed it, too. Maybe I could convince everyone to work together, somehow. But…” He shook his head, suddenly looking disgusted. “They just stole it to resell. That’s what they do over there. That’s why I took it instead of talking to them.”
Wolfwood wasn’t surprised. That kind of thing happened all the time in the future. Sometimes you had to weight the risk of fighting to get your property back against the embarrassment of paying three times the actual price to recover it peacefully. It must’ve been a con older than No Man’s land for people to be pulling it this far back. “So…” Wolfwood pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. “…you, what, left Ship Three to help these people?”
“I didn’t come out here for them specifically. I wanted to see if there was anything I could do about…” He gestured expansively. “All of it.”
All of it. All the heaps of bullshit that ate No Man’s Land alive. That had been ever since the Big Fall and probably would until the second coming.
And Vash wanted to “see if there was something he could do about it.”
“Why do you look like that?” Vash asked quietly.
He sounded so young again. It was the only thing that kept Wolfwood from raising his voice. As it was, he had to take a deep breath to maintain what composure he had. “Why?” he asked.
The question that had been plaguing him since the first day he met Vash.
“Why…what?”
“Why do you want to see if there’s anything you can do about this shitshow?”
“Because…people need help. And I can…”
“But why does it have to be you?” Why take their bullets, their stones, their hateful stares? Why carry the weight of other people’s bullshit, as if he didn’t have enough on his own shoulders? “You should be back on the ship right now.”
“Yeah, but I can’t do anything on there.”
“Who said you have to? Why…” Wolfwood took another deep breath. “Is this about your brother?”
Vash’s cheeks went pink again. “This has nothing to do with him.”
“Are you sure? Because I swear, if this is you self-flagellating again for the Fall - “
“It’s not.”
“Are you sure?”
“I think I know my own motivations, thanks.” Vash’s jaw was set in a tight line, his eyes hardening behind his glasses. “Shouldn’t we want to help each other? Not helping is what’s keeping us in this mess.”
“That’s all well and good, kid, but I’m not sure you’re thinking about the cost, here.”
“I am not a kid anymore.”
The sudden snap of Vash’s voice sent a cold chill up Wolfwood’s spine. A part of him whispered that he should back off no while Vash was still forgiving, but his eyes drifted to the bandage again. To Vash’s prosthetic. They mapped the dozens of scars that weren’t there yet, but would be one day if Vash didn’t stop.
He should have made it about that. But he wasn’t very good at this.
“I probably killed that guy back there,” he snapped back. “Is that piece of junk worth it?”
Vash flinched back, his eyes growing wide and horrified. For a moment, Wolfwood was torn between guilt and stubbornness.
Then, Vash’s gaze went dark. “Well,” he said. “That was a stupid, shitty decision on your part, wasn’t it?” He stood up in one fluid motion, shoving the box into his coat as he did. “But that’s got nothing to do with me.”
And with that, he stalked away. He couldn’t go far—the structure wasn’t very big—but his turned back and angry body language made the distance feel much larger.
Wolfwood was frozen in place, his mind yanked in multiple directions. Fear at the anger he’d glimpsed in Vash’s eyes. Frustration, because this idiot just did not get it.
Pride and confusion, because this wasn’t the passive Vash who took almost every barb Wolfwood had thrown at him in the future with a sad smile or a kicked puppy look. But where the hell had this new Vash come from? And why was he gone in the future?
Wolfwood didn’t know. He just knew this conversation had gone sideways, and he wasn’t sure what to do to fix it. Great! Nicely done, idiot.
He didn’t trust himself to try again just yet. Instead, Wolfwood picked back up the rifle and started checking it for damage. He’d seen weapons like it, even been trained with one, but the materials of this one felt different. It had probably been made with Lost Technology. This would be an heirloom piece in the future. The kind of gun you gave a name.
Like what? Punisher 2?
Wolfwood shook the thought away and kept working.
He’d cleaned and re-assembled the gun and taken stock of his ammo by the time Vash came back. “If you’re worried about me, can you just say that?” Vash said as he sat down.
Wolfwood was flooded by the sudden urge to smack the kid, but he knew he’d be in the wrong this time. Vash was right; it was just annoying that he’d said it out loud. “I am worried,” Wolfwood relented. “You don’t exactly have a great track record with unnecessary guilt.”
“I know.” Vash fiddled with his zipper as he spoke. “Brad and Luida already talked to me before I left. Trust me, I’ve thought about it. This isn’t about what happened. I just don’t like seeing people in pain. I never have.” He shrugged. “Call me softhearted, I guess.”
He was. And it was going to get him killed.
“It’s not just about the guilt, though.” Wolfwood started re-loading the rifle. “You said that you were gonna try to convince those people to work with the other group, yeah?”
Vash nodded. “If they both need the part, it makes sense for them to work together. There’s no need to steal.”
“Maybe. But what if you couldn’t convince them? What if there wasn’t a plan that could help everybody? What if one of the groups decided it wasn’t worth the gamble and they’d rather focus on their own people? Could you fault them for that? How would you pick who to help?” He slipped the last bullet in place and met Vash’s eyes. “Is that a decision you’re capable of making?”
“…I…”
Vash trailed off. The more he thought about it, the more distressed he looked. “I…I’d find a way,” he insisted finally. “I wouldn’t just give up.”
“I’m not asking you to give up. I’m asking you to consider the cost. Someone’s gotta pay it.”
“Not always.”
“But most of the time.”
“Well, if it’s me, I don’t mind – “
“But. Why? You don’t know these people. Half of them would shoot you dead if they thought it’d benefit them—and don’t look at me like that. I’ve seen it every day I’ve been alive. They don’t care about you. Why…” He gestured towards Vash’s leg. “…why hurt yourself for them? If it’s not guilt, then what?”
Vash’s hands stilled. He stared down at his leg. For a minute, his eyes looked distant. “…I wanted to give up after Tesla,” he said. “On people, I mean. I would’ve taken Nai and left the ship if I knew how. Rem talked to me every day, brought me food when I felt too sick to eat…even when I hated…”
His voice broke on that word. He shook his head, cleared his throat, and kept going. “She asked me if I was really going to let go that easily. I had let go, and…I don’t like who I was then. I promised myself I would never give up like that again.” He met Wolfwood’s eyes. “She died for everyone who survived the Fall. She went back so she could save as many people as possible. How could I do anything less? Don’t you have someone you care about like that? More than anything?”
Wolfwood’s heart felt like it stopped beating for a second. You know I do, he thought. Except this Vash didn’t know, not yet. But he’d asked the question the same way…
“I do,” Wolfwood admitted. His hands gripped the rifle. “I choose them every time.”
And he’d resigned himself to the scars it put on the soul. As many as the scars Vash would bear on his body, he realized.
“I feel the same way,” Vash said. “Just…bigger. Does that make sense?”
It did. And it didn’t.
How could one person hold that much care in their heart?
Even for people like me?
“You’re insane,” he said finally.
Vash laughed. “A little bit, yeah.” The laugh didn’t last long. “Do you really think that man is dead? And when you took care of the guys on the roof…”
Damn it. This conversation again? When Wolfwood was still struggling with what Vash had just said? “I don’t go out of my way to be nonlethal,” Wolfwood said. “I told you, I choose…”
He cut himself off. Guilt clogged his throat immediately. It was a lie, or it would be a lie for Vash in a few decades. How dare Wolfwood let him down with those words?
And when did he become one of the kids?
Wolfwood knew. It was the second he’d held Vash in his arms and soothed him back to sleep. Every smile and childish laugh and wiped away tear. Just like with the other kids who’d wormed their way into his heart.
Just like Livio.
Vash’s expression was unreadable. He looked away from Wolfwood, out the window, down to his hands. “I…don’t want you to do that for me,” he said finally. “Okay? Please don’t do that for me.”
Yep. This again.
“Even if killing keeps you safe? And don’t you dare ask me to just let you die, because that’s not…” And there he went again, talking as if he wasn’t going to do exactly that.
Fortunately, Vash seemed to take Wolfwood’s burst of self-loathing for a different emotion. Either that, or he was too distracted by whatever was making him look so distressed again. “That’s not the only solution, is it? To kill?”
His voice wavered. There was something else behind those words, but Wolfwood couldn’t figure it out. He focused on the question instead, just as it was at face value. Of course, there could be other options. He wasn’t Bluesummers, ready to deal out death like it was candy. But in a place like this, sometimes you had to make the call. A lot of the time you had to make the call. Otherwise, what the hell have I spilled all that blood for?
Wolfwood’s hand instinctively flew to his shin, trying desperately to silence the thought. Vash, of course, noticed. “Is your ankle okay?” he asked.
“’s fine.” Vash started digging through his pack anyway. The sudden lack of eye contact made speaking a bit easier. “If I promise the lethal option will be a last resort…is that good?”
It was as far as he could make himself go. He was a little surprised that, after some silence, Vash actually nodded. “Thank you for hearing me out,” he said quietly. “I know, it’s a big ask, I’m just…” He produced a jar of some kind and a roll of bandages. “I’m trying to figure some things out. Here, let me take a look.”
“Nah, it’s…” Wolfwood hesitated. “I’m sorry for what I said. Implying that guy was your fault…it was my call. Not yours.” Granted, it was a call he wouldn’t have had to make if Vash hadn’t been an idiot, but it wasn’t about that. Not really. “You don’t gotta look after me. I can do it.”
Vash stared at him for a long moment. Again, he caught Wolfwood off guard by smiling. “I forgive you,” he said as he handed over the supplies. “I know, you were worried.”
“Didn’t have to be a prick about it, though.” Wolfwood tugged off his shoe, then started carefully unraveling the bandage. “That said, can you promise me you’ll value your life the same as you do everyone else’s? Please? Because I will send you the hospital bill if I start getting stress ulcers.”
Vash’s smile immediately grew teasing. “Maybe you should stop smoking if you’re so worried about ulcers.”
“Fat chance, ki – “
His ankle was fine.
No, not fine. It was still all cut up, and even his untrained eye could tell the stitches needed to stay in a bit longer. But consider how little he’d taken care of it, it looked…fine. It was healing well. What in the…
“You don’t need to put a lot of the ointment on there,” Vash said. “Little goes a long way.”
“…right. Yeah.”
What did you do?
Lack of proof and fear of the answer was the only thing that kept the question in his head. But Wolfwood’s gut screamed that Vash was somehow responsible. He just couldn’t figure out how.
Conrad didn’t change me that much, did he?
It took Wolfwood all of two seconds to decide that he didn’t want to know the answer to that. He applied the ointment and rebandaged his ankle. “Are we gonna sit the storm out?”
“Probably for the best.” Vash stood back up to pat the thomas’ head. “Just so she doesn’t inhale too much sand. We can leave as soon as it stops. Assuming…”
The two of them looked around. No sign of a portal. “Well, that doesn’t bode well for later,” Wolfwood said wearily. “You want to take a nap while you still can?”
Vash ended up laying down, but not sleeping. He stared up at the ceiling and hummed to himself. Wolfwood watched the sand swirling around outside, wondering what awaited them when they left.
At least he finally had a weapon. Even if he’d promised Vash that he’d consider the lethal option the last one, having the ability to defend himself again made him feel calmer than he had since all of this started.
Punching his way out of a solution was fine in a pinch, but he really preferred this.
.
They finally emerged from their hideout when the sands slowed down to a haze. Wolfwood was on edge, listening hard for anything that even remotely sounded like an engine. The whistling of the wind made it hard to hear, and the setting sun didn’t help with his nerves. They had to hunker down in a cluster of rocks that barely provided shelter when it became too dark to see. The moons had waned down to crescents, and even the biggest one didn’t provide enough light.
“So,” Wolfwood whispered. They technically had a watch order set up, but he couldn’t sleep. “Everyone get their act together back on the ship?”
“Yeah, they did.” Vash kept stroking the thomas’ head as he spoke. “I am going to go back there. I don’t plan on being out here full time or anything.” Thank God for that. “Actually, I promised I’d be back before they put Brad and Luida into deep sleep.”
“Into what now?”
“Oh, uh, suspended animation. Most of the people in the Seeds fleet were asleep when they were traveling, and the technology still works on the ship. Everyone decided to put crew members in rotation so we could cut down on resource use and keep people alive for as long as possible. Especially people with important research skills. Brad and Luida got put in the same rotation, so they’ll be going under soon.”
“And you’re okay with that?”
“I do have other friends now. And I help coach the kickball team with the kids sometimes, though I think they think my head’s a target.” Wolfwood snorted. He could picture Vash getting beamed in the head pretty clearly. At least it was a slightly less lethal fast-moving object than a bullet. “I’ll miss them, I know I will. But I’ll see them again.”
“They’re not gonna put you under?”
“They thought about it, but they ran some tests on me. I guess my cells are behaving similarly to a non-Independent Plant’s, and they can live much longer than humans under the right circumstances. So we’re holding off unless I start showing visible signs of aging.” Vash grimaced. “I didn’t really want to get put in a pod anyway. Even if it’s just to sleep.”
“That’s fair.” And he’d never have to do it, far as Wolfwood knew. Vash would look the same in 150 years as he did now, just more tired. “Shame it’s in a pod and not a whole room. Think it’d be nice to nap through some of the bullshit.”
Vash laughed quietly and leaned against him. “You’re just saying that because I’d be staying out of trouble if I were asleep.”
“I actually meant it, but that’s a good point. You sure you don’t want to skip all this?”
Vash nudged Wolfwood’s ribs. “Aren’t you supposed to be asleep?”
“Don’t you tell me what to do.” Wolfwood tried closing his eyes again anyway. The space wasn’t very big, but the proximity of the thomas and Vash was strangely comforting and warm, not suffocating. It reminded him of nights when Livio or some of the littles couldn’t sleep and a bunch of them ended up bundled in the same bed.
Sleep came a lot easier after that.
.
The truly infuriating part of this trip didn’t end up being the baffling-ass conversation with Vash, or the shootout, or the general fact that Wolfwood was still doing this. It was the fact that he spent most of the next day grinding his teeth into a find powder from stress for nothing. The guys who’d been chasing them had lost their scent and never showed up again. No one nearly got eaten by a worm. The worst thing about the day was the monotony of it. Nothing but sand and sun, sun and sand. It was so mind-numbing that Wolfwood didn’t even mind when Vash started chatting away.
“So…do you have a favorite food?”
“Noodles,” Wolfwood replied. “Any kind. Doesn’t matter. Let me guess, you’re mister sweet tooth?”
Vash laughed. “That obvious?”
“I saw how fast you went for dessert back on the ship.” And would continue to in the future. The guy could pack away doughnuts with terrifying efficiency. “You’re still eating out here, right?”
“Yes, Nico.” Wolfwood couldn’t see Vash’s face, but he could hear the eye roll. He’d smack Vash for it if he wasn’t worried about unseating himself from the thomas. “What do you do? When you’re not following me around, I mean.”
Wolfwood was tempted not to answer, but figured a half-lie would satisfy Vash better than nothing. “I’m an undertaker,” Wolfwood said.
“Oh. That sounds depressing.”
You have no idea. “It pays the bills.” Just not with money.
“If you didn’t have to worry about money, what would you do?”
Wolfwood knew immediately. It was a decision he could never remember making consciously, just something he’d known. He’d never intended to leave the orphanage. He would’ve stayed. Helped Miss Melanie until she was too old to run the place, then take over. Helped as many kids as he could until he was too old to run the place, or died, whichever happened first.
But that was impossible now. No sense in dreaming about it.
“I’d do the same thing,” he said. “Someone’s got to, right?”
Vash fell silent. Wolfwood wondered if he’d heard something in his tone and guessed at the emotions underneath. If he did…
“So, if all those stories about the dead coming back to life ever come true, you’ll be the first one to know?”
…he was polite enough to move right past it. And Wolfwood was grateful for that.
“Sure would. Lucky me, huh?” He shook his head. “Good thing I’m a decent shot…unless you want to tell me we can’t kill walking corpses, either?”
“No, they don’t count. Their ticket’s already filled out.”
“…huh?”
“Their ticket. Everyone gets one when they’re born. You’re the one who decides what your destination is, or…at least, that’s how it should be. When other people change your destination for you…” He shook his head. “It’s one of the worst things you can do to a person.”
Wolfwood thought about the Eye. Pictured the child he was and the man he’d turned into. He wasn’t going to act like he was faultless—his choices were his own, at the end of the day—but if they hadn’t showed up that day, would things have turned out different?
Would he ever have stood a chance?
Blessedly, the sight of something in the distance kicking up dust gave Wolfwood something else to dwell on. “Reckon we should be worried about that?” he asked.
“Nope!” There was a smile in Vash’s voice as he changed directions. “That’s exactly what we’re looking for.”
Vash hadn’t been kidding yesterday when he said it was a mobile community. The setup they joined more resembled the caravans that followed some sand steamers then it did a town. Shouts rang out as people recognized Vash.
He’s back!
Thank God…
Do you have it? Please tell me you have it…
Vash pulled up alongside one group of riders and held up the chip. More cries rang out, prayers of thanks or sobs of relief. The cries of people who wouldn’t have to see their people suffer from lack of food or water.
Vash hadn’t bought that joy with too much blood today.
Wolfwood knew he wouldn’t always be that lucky, but he tried not to think about that too hard. Not when Vash looked so happy at having helped.
Wolfwood ended up tagging along with Vash to reinstall the Plant’s chip, but just as quickly wished he hadn’t. The decorations inside the Plant’s designated truck were a little too religious for his taste. Nothing matched the Eye’s iconography, but even the sight of a simple shrine was enough to make his mouth feel dry. “I’m gonna go out in a limb here,” he said quietly, even though it was just the two of them, “and assume you haven’t been chatty about your, uh…”
“Familial relationship? Hell no,” Vash replied. “They already think I’m some kind of chosen one because I’m good with her. I’ve been dodging invitations to speak at their services. No disrespect meant, it’s just…” Something chirped as Vash carefully inserted the chip. “…awkward. Imagine if people were worshipping one of your siblings as a fragment of the divine.”
“Oh, I’d never let them hear the end of it. Bully the damn god complex right out of them.” Vash laughed. Wolfwood risked a glance at the Plant pod. “You won’t let him get too big for his britches, right?”
The Plant stayed tightly wrapped up in her bulb, and Wolfwood had to look away. He kept expecting Chapel to round a corner and start lecturing him about his lack of worthiness just for being here.
Vash of the future must have been able to sense Wolfwood’s discomfort, because as Wolfwood’s eyes scanned the room for something to look at it, he spotted what he’d been hoping to see the night before: a portal, right there in the corner.
“Think that’s for me,” Wolfwood said quietly.
Vash looked up. A complicated mix of emotions settled over his face. “Guess I’m out of the woods,” he said.
“For now, since you keep running back into them.”
“It’s a calculated risk.”
“Sure it is.” Wolfwood shook his head. “So.”
“So.”
They stared at each other for a second before Vash stepped forward to give him a tight hug. “Be safe, okay?”
“You be safe.” Wolfwood hugged him back. They were the same height now. Vash felt solid in his arms, grown-up, but still clung to him as if he were small. “Can you think about what I said?”
“Which part?”
“All of it. I want you to be okay. I hope you know that.”
“I know. And I will, if you promise to think about what I said.”
“Okay.” Wolfwood was pretty sure he wouldn’t be able to avoid it, much as that pissed him off. Vash’s words had a habit of getting under his skin. “Thanks.”
“Thank you. It means a lot, that you’re willing to listen.”
Listen may have been a strong word for it, but Wolfwood decided not to correct him. Vash held something out as he pulled out of the hug: Wolfwood’s lighter. Wolfwood thought about it, then shook his head. “You hold onto that,” he said. “For next time.”
Vash’s smile made the sacrifice worth it. “I’ll make sure it’s full. See you later, Nico.”
“See you, Vash.”
The nickname was starting to feel familiar again. Wolfwood didn’t like that.
Don’t forget who you are. Don’t forget why you’re here.
Wolfwood adjusted the rifle on his back, rubbed the back of his heel against his bruise, and stepped into the portal.
Joel/Tess + “an abrupt, heated kiss during the middle of a fight”
Something like mid-era, PG-ish (there's Language but nothing more), also on ao3.
Fuck.
Tess is not mad. Tess blew past that emotion maybe two hours ago, and now she has a cut on her fucking hip that’ll probably scar and she’s lucky that’s where that asshole knifed her and she’s lucky that’s as far as their weapons supply went and-
By the time she gets home, she’s pretty sure she’s never doing favors for her partner ever again.
She knows the ground rules of their relationship – she gets to do most of the local stuff alone because her pre-apocalypse life choices did not give her a lot of useful skills for the current state of the world, and she’s just as capable of handling their black-market activities, and for god’s sake she grew up in Philly in a family of hockey fans, the half-feral gangster wannabes of Boston do not scare her. And in fairness, she usually enjoys all of it. Makes sure she pulls her weight, handles most of their connections because she at least had once worked retail long enough to be able to play nice with just about anything on legs for a couple minutes at a time, and-
Normally this works out great. Today is not fucking normal.
Today is she got knifed, and the little jackass half her age who thought that was a great idea got knifed in return – never escalate weapons level, Tess has learned, especially in situations that remind her how close she is to forty – and everyone will be okay in a day or two but by the time she makes it back to the apartment she’s not sure how okay she is now, and she’s absolutely going to-
Unfortunately for him, Joel is home and at least looks like he’s had a better day. Fair game.
“What the hell-“
Tess laughs, full-body overwhelmed visceral. “Don’t start. Don’t fuckin’ start.”
“You come home late, I’m gonna-“
She lifts her shirt for the visual, the wound just above the waistband of her pants – unpleasant but it’ll heal, with a little care it’ll at least be a subtle scar – and glares at her partner with a frustration she can only justify with how many years they’ve put up with each other’s bullshit. He’s just as bad, different flavor but the same passively suicidal tendencies, but difference is he’s bigger and the people they deal with tend to take that a little more seriously and-
“Don’t send me into the fuckin’ depths and then get worried when something goes wrong,” she hisses. She’s not blaming him, let her make that absolutely clear, but she needs to yell at somebody and he’s here and convenient and peripherally involved and-
“Other person look worse?”
“Does it matter? I am bleeding and you are-“
“Wondering whether we have to lay low a while is a legitimate-“
“You can’t even stay focused on me for two damn minutes, you can’t-“
He clears the distance between them and gets his hands on her face and his mouth on hers and it’s… more intense than usual, she realizes that in the haze of it all, they both run more aggressive when one of them has recently gotten hurt but this is bitey and full-on and-
“That look like not focused to you?”
What it looks like, Tess is half tempted to say, is the exact placement of her recent wound is going to make the usual conclusion of these days hard to a point of unthinkable. They’re volatile lovers and she’s pretty sure she could still wind him up enough to do her, but injuries get respected and the goddamned cut is right where he’d put a hand if he were fucking her… basically anywhere, neither wall nor couch nor bed is safe, she is so annoyed, she is so-
“You can screw me tomorrow,” she suggests, delay not deny. “When I’m not…”
“Shit. Yeah.” He kisses her again, a little softer, one of those kisses that makes her wonder about the future of them. “Just… can’t lose you. Don’t wanna think about it.”
Love you too, she’d say if she were a little braver. She never will; she’s accepted those words just don’t sound right in her voice, just as they wouldn’t in his. But she can hear them in the silence, as her lover walks away for a few moments and comes back to her with a rag dipped in moonshine that stings like hell on her exposed skin. They’re not like that, but they don’t need to be either.
“You take such good care of me,” she murmurs, leaning into the touch anyways.
Love you too, his gentleness says. She’ll take it.
Aspen: Across the River, Chap. 2
It’s now Friday and Friday nights aren’t as exciting as you think. My best friend on the other hand...
Aspen. Asp, I like to call her, she’s my best friend, well best friend is an understatement. She’s been with me ever since I moved to Windbrook. I'm a very independent person but she really knows how to bring me out of my shell and helped me meet all my friends when I first got here. She is the queen of planning Friday nights out. 3am swims, midnight movies, hiking, surfing or even just chilling at home (which those are my ideas of the perfect fridays). She has always been the go-getter.
“So what shall we do tonight?” She flops down on my bed and puts her head in my lap.
“Stay home and watch a movie?” I say hopefully “Ha! You're funny, we're going to Claire’s, her parents are out of town and she has the whole house to herself, Molly, Payton and Gabe are gonna be there too!”
I roll my eyes at her “I knew you already had something planned, why even ask me?” she gives me a sickly smile “to be polite”. I sigh and stand up, Grabbing my green jacket that used to be my dads. As we drove down my street I stare at the thick wall of trees, And my mind drifts off to Foster. Him being so friendly when we first met. Like he knew me somehow. Or surprised I was there. It’s a public park.
“I met someone the other day”
The car suddenly stops, I jolt and my seatbelt tugs across my chest. “WHAT?!” Asp says. “God, Aspen you almost just killed us”. “I literally just stopped the ca- wait that's not the point. Forest what do you mean you met someone, a boy, you met a boy? or girl? sorry you know I don't judge” We are stopped in the middle of the road and she’s staring at me so intensely.
“Yeah, a boy but it’s not like that I was walking Cooper and had my headphones on and he yelled at me from across the river”. I try to look anywhere but her “what was he doing In the woods in the first place? burying a body?”
“He was just skipping rocks, I don't know” she blinks slowly at me “Did you at least ask him his name?! You're the kind of person that would just walk away if I cute guy was talking to you”.
“First of all, ouch, second of all, yeah thats true and I never said he was cute.”
she rolls her eyes at me “oh come on, look at you, you're literally blushing thinking about it ” I sigh. “His name is Foster, He was really nice for a stranger, he told me he just moved here and asked for my name but I got scared and walked away”
“New guy? Foster? hm, I like it, sounds kinda mysterious to go along with the whole skipping rocks thing”.
“I don’t think skipping rocks is mysterious”.
She presses her lips together “It kinda is and besides, this is great! maybe you’ll see him tomorrow when you walk Cooper again.”
“Maybe I don't know, you know I've never had any kind of relationship”. She head tilts slightly “Why though, I mean guys have liked you in the past and you just never seemed interested?”
My chest suddenly feels heavy. “Yeah, I know and I do like guys and find them attractive its just--”
Suddenly a car beeps behind us making Aspen drive again. The car falls silent hoping she won't make me talk about it again. I don’t know if Im ready to admit anything yet to anyone. “ You know it’s okay to like someone, I know how you feel about that kind of stuff but it may be good to get out there”. she says as she pulls up to a red light.
I roll my eyes “you sound like my mom”.
“Well Mrs. C is never wrong” I don't say anything and we pull up to Claire’s 5 minutes later. “Well you and I are going to talk more about this later but for now I'm telling the others about Mr. Rock skipper” as she runs to the door. “DON’T YOU DARE” and I run after her.
...
OMG! I am so sorry for abandoning this story. Junior year was stressful and now I'm a senior and bored so I'm back on it! I promise to upload as much as I can!!!
I’ve realized that not much people read these but I still post just to feel heard..
Recently two of my friends pointed out my sh scars one friend yelled it out in gym and my crush heard her..I think?
Not only that but yesterday it was my older cousin’s birthday he is currently in jail for murder I personally don’t think he should be in there because yes murder is wrong but the man he murdered sa’ed him so…
And this whole thing has been taking a toll on me because I understand the feeling of being sa’ed
Me and him grew up together and we had funny moments but we also grew apart when he started growing up he also went down a bad path
You know he got in fights sm0ked and did dr*gs and trust me I know how that goes because I went down the same path after I got older and realized I was sa’ed
I just can’t stop crying every morning, afternoon, and night while thinking of him I miss him I’m literally crying right now and I wish we could spent his birthday with him but all we could do was sing him happy birthday over a phone
And I can’t talk to my other cousin aka his sister because I’m scared she might think I’m doing it for attention because me and him didn’t talk all that much at least not that she knows of
So I feel like if I cry to her about him then she is gonna like idk tell me that I shouldn’t be crying because we weren’t close
But the truth is we were somewhat close in a way we were close me and him are quite similar we both went through sa and we both started going down a bad path
Not only that but we had funny humor we joked around sometimes I mean he literally has known me my whole life he was always around and even celebrated all my birthdays with me
He watched out for me like when I got on social media he told me to be careful for creeps in the mornings he always told me a joke or made me laugh somehow
And knowing that someone who I grew up around went through something so traumatic in silence just like me just breaks my heart and what’s even worse is that he stayed silent because he felt embarrassed or that he wouldn’t get taken seriously
All because he thought no one would take him seriously because not a lot of boys get sa’ed by other boys
I wish I could go back and tell him I understand and that he wasn’t alone or even just at least give him a hug and be there for him
Hopefully no one at school notices im sad I just don’t want to accidentally cry in front of them or have a panic attack anyway I should go and get rest I have school tomorrow yay…
(Just wanted you guys to see pictures of me and him along with his sister they may be my cousins and not my siblings but they will always feel like my siblings I love you jahir and Dayan❤️🩹)
The Conditional
“Tomorrow won’t come.” She says sadly, looking off into the distance.
‘Must you be so pessimistic?” I respond, wishing for once, she wouldn’t have such a dreary mindset but she continues on.
“The moon becomes an icy pit. The sweet-gum tree is petrified.”
“You’re gonna keep going? Okay what even is a sweet-gum tr-” I’m interrupted by her going on in her dreadful monologue. She seems like she’s not even listening to me. Maybe she’s not. She’s not looking at me. Even as she speaks, she’s staring off into the distance.
“The sun is a foul black tire fire”
“At least you are creative,” I say. Walking over to her and waving my hand in front of her eyes. She seems to be in a trance of some sort. It is starting to scare me, but she continues on.
“The owl’s eyes are pinpricks.”
“Wake up, stop messing with me.” I say as I start to shake her, wishing she would stop. This issn’t her. She might be pessimistic but she is never like this.
“The shirt’s plastic ditch-litter. The kitchen’s a cow’s corpse.”
“What’s wrong with you?!” I yell, she starts shaking, I can feel it under my hands, every one of her movements worries me more. Is this a joke? She’s never done anything like this before. But what else could it be? Is she possessed? She can’t be.
“We never get to see it: bright future, stuck like a bum star, never coming close, never dazzling. We never meet her. Never him.”
“Please, how do I get you to stop? Come back.” I whisper, shaking her again, tears start rolling down my cheeks. I don’t know what to do. How to get her back. Suddenly she looks directly at me, making eye contact for the first time since she started.
“We spend our last moments staring at each other, hands knotted together, clutching the dog, watching the sky burn.”
“Stop it!” I scream, shaking her again, harder this time. Her eyes are still on me, but her gaze is empty, like there isn’t a thought in her head. It honestly scares me more than anything else. She’s never looked like that in her life. Not in all the time I’ve known her.
“It doesn’t matter. That would be enough.”
“What would be enough, please just tell me?” I beg, falling onto my knees in front of her, collapsing in a fit of tears, this was all happening so fast. How could she change so suddenly?
“Would you still want this: us alive, right here, feeling lucky.” She stops, finally looking down at me.
“Would you?” She asks again. I shake my head, completely confused, not knowing what to say to her.
“Would you?” She screams the question this time, finally showing some sort of emotion, but then she stops, and collapses in front of me. I barely stand fast enough to catch her. She suddenly stands upright again, looks me dead in the eye and asks me again,
“Would you?” But then she smiles, it was a horrifyingly creepy smile, it fills my soul with dread. This isn’t her. This can’t be her. Please God don’t let it be her.
Whumptober 2023: Day 14: Flare/”Just hold on”
Whumptober 2023: Day 14: Flare/”Just hold on”
Ro
He’s gotten so much worse over the past few hours. As the sun sets, I know I must do something. Even in our shared poor condition, I have to take charge. Somehow, I have to save him. They don’t call me Micro Stark for nothing.
Well, not a lot of people call me that but the Avengers do, often finding new and creative ways to call me small, followed by Stark. It’s kind of my favorite inside joke and now Dad has caught onto it.
But none of that fun, superficial shit will matter if I can’t save Peter.
“Ro?” He mumbles to me as it begins to get dark. “Ro, you have to…to…”
“I’m here,” I reply like I have been for a while now. Peter keeps becoming restless and scared. The fever seems to be causing him confusion. I’m more concerned with the infection though. The fever is only here because of that. But there’s nothing I can do here. Not in a deep, dark ditch in the middle of the woods.
“You gotta go…m-my spidey sense…” He warns me.
My heart skips a beat and I stand up, looking around for any signs of danger. It’s too bad that Peter’s web shooters are broken. He’s so skilled with those that we’d likely be in much better shape. Plus, we probably could have climbed out of here a long time ago with a strong enough web. But that’s not an option.
“R-Ro, they’re coming…” Peter groans, partially delirious. It makes me question if he really senses something or if the infection and fever have affected that too.
I stand on my sore feet, trying to be as ready as I can be with a badly injured arm and a bloodied hand. “Oh shit, you’re the kid from the trap. And his little fire bitch!’ A guy yells, pointing a flashlight and a gun at us.
“Stay back or I’ll roast more of your friends!” I threaten, knowing damn well I can’t make good on that proclamation. But he doesn’t know that. Maybe I can keep up the facade and get him the hell away from Peter.
“Your little boyfriend looks like shit.” He taunts.
“And you’re trying to kill a couple of teenagers, so what does that say about you?” I question.
“You’re not looking too good yourself, girl.” He growls.
“Do you want me to turn you into a goddamn candelabra or do you want to turn around and get out of here?” I avoid his stupid commentary, praying I can actually get a spark this time. “Last chance…”
The guy shakes his head. “You know what, you both look like you’ll die down there by tomorrow so…maybe I can help you out.”
I narrow my eyes. “I’m not entertaining this bull. Stay away from me.”
He shrugs. “Okay.”
The gun goes off and I feel an intense pain in my abdomen. “That should speed things up for you.”
Peter yells out weakly. “No…No…p-please. Don’t…I c-can’t live wi-without her.”
The guy walks away after that, seemingly satisfied. And he’s right. This sure will speed things up. And now I definitely can’t help Peter. I’m in no condition to treat him now. Not that I was doing too well to begin with.
“Ro…don’t go…don’t go.” He cries. “J-Just hold on.”
I reach my hand out, my fingers brushing his. “I’m sorry.”
Peter lightly squeezes. “I love you, Aurora Stark.”
My eyes sting with both exhaustion and tears. “I love you more, Peter Parker.”
I see him smile out of the corner of my eye, crying like I am and seeming to not have the strength to say anything else. And he doesn’t have to. I know how loved I am by him as we lie there together and look at the stars in the face of death.
With all of the energy I have left, I nurture a spark in my hand, shooting it up in the air before letting my arm fall by my side. A flare. A signal. One last effort to save us, or at least him. Because Peter doesn’t deserve to die here.
My vision swims, the stars blurring together. And then a…flash of red? Gold? It doesn’t occur to me immediately, but I blink a few times and see a face in front of me. “Oh Jesus, Ro. Ro, you hear me? What about you, kid?”
“Mr. Stark?” Peter mumbles.
“We’re gonna get you to safety, alright?” I hear another voice say.
My body seems far too tired to stay awake and my eyes close, making the voices around me get more frantic. But I can’t open them again. It all hurts. It hurts too much. I’m so tired. I just can’t hold on any longer.
So I let go.
Waking up is a surprise. I hadn’t been convinced I would. I thought the help might’ve been too late. Turning my head in the direction of someone speaking, I groan. “P-Peter…”
“He’s okay. Infection’s gonna run its course in a little while with the help of good old-fashioned medicine. You on the other hand? You just came out of major surgery and the first thing you ask about is Spider Boy.” Dad replies with his usual wit.
“Glad to see you missed me so much.” I tease. “Did they pull a bullet out of me?”
He nods. “Sure did, pocket Stark.”
I chuckle, causing me to wince a little. “Ow.”
Dad puts a hand over my forehead in a gesture of comfort. “Sorry. Your spleen is also gone, by the way.”
“Any other missing parts I should know about?” I ask.
He shakes his head, seeming to drop his signature remarks and switching to dad mode. “No. Other than maybe needing a little extra care when you get sick, you’ll be alright without it. How do you feel?”
“A little groggy,” I say. “You said Peter’s okay?”
“Yeah. He asked about you too. I sat with him for a while when you were in surgery. I’m sure you can see each other soon. Doctors said you did a good job with the wound. Can’t say I’m surprised. You’re smart.”
I sigh. “What about the bus?”
“Lots of injuries, but no deaths. It’s kind of a miracle. The people who did this tried to separate everyone and it worked. We looked for survivors for hours before they tried telling me you and Peter were killed. But I just…I knew you had to be alive. I knew.” Dad explains.
“Barely,” I reply. “You were probably lucky to find us when you did.”
His eyes darken a little and he clears his throat. “Yeah.”
I can tell he feels a lot more than he’s showing me, but I don’t try to get it out of him. “Well, I’m not dead.”
Dad shakes his head in amusement at my ease with the situation, pausing. “You’re okay, Ro?”
“You said I was.” I point out.
“No, I mean…” He searches for the right words. “Emotionally.”
“I’ll live. But I’d be lying if I said those two days weren’t the scariest and most painful in my life. I’ve never really…had someone else’s life in my hands like I did Peter’s. And I’m surprised I didn’t cease to function.”
“You did more than anyone should have to,” Dad says softly. “You’re still a kid. My kid.”
I weakly nod, a tear sliding down my cheek.
He rests a hand on my knee, unable to hold either one of my injured hands. “Look at me, babe. You’re with me now. I’m never going to let anything happen to you again.”
“You can’t know that. You can’t stop every threat.” I reply.
He sighs. “I know. But I’ll do everything in my power to keep you safe.”
I nod again. “Okay.”
His eyes look a bit red now that I have a closer look at them. “Try to rest. You’ll see Peter soon, but you need sleep. I can’t imagine you got much these past couple of days.”
“I didn’t,” I confirm. “I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. I was scared he’d die if I even blinked for a second too long.”
“Get some sleep.” Dad reaffirms. “I’ll stay with you if you want.”
“Yes!” I say quickly, not wanting him to leave. “Please.”
He gives me a sad grin. “Not going anywhere, kid.”
“I promise.”
Episode Eight: "May the odds be with me or not" - Esteban
Champagne
Ooooffff that tribal yikes, I’m really upset Brandi left bc I loved her but Bethany is always gonna be my true alliance and I never wanted to vote against my majority alliance but at least I made a power move🤪
Jayjay
*gasping for air* 👀 👀 👀 👀
Tyler Frazier
We just merged and guess what…I’m in an awful position! But that’s nothing new I’ve been in the same spot the entire game. I’m not on the bottom of one alliance I am on the bottom of 2! Actually I’m in neither of the majority alliances so that’s great! Plus I burned Raffy at the last tribal so I would not be shocked if he comes for me at this upcoming vote 🥰
Jayjay
Well that was a WILD tribal council. I didn’t think that a tromoya would flip right before merge but I’m not completely surprised. All I’m trying to figure out now is if my gut keeps telling me I’m Right about Raffy then it was him although I want so badly to be able to trust him! And if it was Brandi I’m glad she is gone. However my gut is really not letting me just go with the obvious and I’m thinking Champ or Raffy flipped. So either Champ is lying to Hairie and I and playing us. OR Raffy is really great at putting on a whole show and making us believe him to cover up his tracks. Either way I’m wary of both and only trust Hairie at this point.! On the bright side…. I made it to merge!!!! 🙏🏻🥹 🎉
Trinica
I picked the merge tribe name, another Survivor bucket list item crossed off! Tromoya's tribal was WILD and idk if it's my ADHD ass but I can't make head nor tails of what exactly happened or who's on whose side, so I'm excited to get the rundown from Bethany tomorrow. It seems like Raffy's in his feelings about folks not voting for Bethany and claimed he would flip at merge if they want to rocks, which is giving emotional player, which always makes me nervous. I like predictability and logic! But it is fun to watch, at least. Raffy actually seems really cool, I'd love to work with him. I just don't know if I could trust him.
I reached out to Tyler because Raffy shut him down with the QUICKNESS at tribal with his "I wasn't talking to you." It's the most Tyler's talked to me all game lol. I'm shocked that he stuck with Bethany and didn't flip, I apologize for saying there was no way he didn't immediately flip.
I'm honestly just exhausted today, I'm getting sick and just don't have energy to have multiple conversations AND work on this damn immunity challenge. I think I've already lost it to Raffy but I'm going to try my hardest because I wouldn't be surprised if AJ or I got targeted.
Hairie
This one is gonna be a STORY.
We lost the challenge and headed to tribal. I honestly didn't want Bethany to go and told her if she can get votes for Tyler we can push it through.
Being in a different timezone and all I was scared to go to sleep because I didn't want to miss out on strategising while the rest are up since its daytime for them but me knocking out minutes after !!!
An hour before tribal, I found out that my name is going around and for that reason I didn't want to sleep but didn't want to waste any more time so I got to scrambling and immediately told Jay I'll be 50/50 playing the idol tonight.
Come tribal .. It was a 4 votes Bethany and 4 votes for me and at this point I was internally screaming that I should have played the idol. Trusting the people that I stuck out for and a pretty insane tribal at that, the votes stayed the same after revoting and calling out each other and drawing the alliance lines right there and then, it was rocks. There seems to be a plan to go to rocks and in my head at this time was yelling Brandi flipped internally ( I could be wrong) but that was my judgement then. Rocks came and Brandi went home and if she did flipped, the rocks went our way and I still get to keep my idol.
I don't know who or how or when my name is being thrown around about me having an idol. I didn't have it only until recently at the market and that was by chance because Raffy didn't want the sweater.
Also kinda shocked Esteban called me out about not wanting to get to know him but I'm pretty sure I did though but all is good on that because it could be just how we interpreted the messages.
First individual immunity challenge was ... A LOT again screaming internally. (Takes a sip of coconut juice).
I was actually pretty shocked I found the first page pretty quick like I did 200-400 and then 111-199 then 900-999 and finally decided to go in the middle with 600 ... 617 Kaboom if I didn't had to prepare for work I would probably have located it in under an hour.
I screamed so many times during this challenge "Winterbell" "agar.io" and "2048" but the most difficult for me was the jigsaw puzzle , took me nearly 2 hours and then around 1 hour++ I checked back the Tumblr post and notice the image was right there smack in my face all this time MY GOODNESS.
Challenge made me feel all sorts of things > laugh, cry, scream, angry, frustrated but glad that it was over.
Getting to know the remaining casts as well and I like Trinica. Been getting to know a lot about her and some truths about Hidra and past tribal councils. She even gifted me a 10% advantage when she bought bread at the market. I do believe in good gestures and we can work together to vote out our targets if they don't win immunity.
and that's the tea from Hairie ~
AJ
So much has happened recently, it's super insane. Got my first tribal shoutout, ayyyyy. Seems like for the most part Raffy and Hairie want to work with me though so I'm not too worried about that all things considered. It seems like I could actually win this individual immunity, trying not to get my hopes up too high, better confessional will be up soonTyler FrazierTbh winning just is not my vibe this game. Like it’s just really not gonna happen. But that is okay! Here for a good time not a long one ig
Arvin Bentonon
1 hour left and I didn't even started the challenge. Huhu
Trinica
ESTEBAN!!!!! YOU LITTLE SNAKE!!!!!!! Miss me with the apology tour bullshit if you're going to turn around and tell Toni you're only apologizing to get me as a number and pick me off later! I keep thinking maybe he's changing his tune. But nope. an apology call after each backstab is smart gameplay, but only the first time my friend.
I want him O U T. But I'm about to play his game lol because I do need his vote at least for this first tribal. Tromoya might just win this because Hidra cannibalizes itself.
Raffy
Welp its been a fun ride, but I'm going home soon. No point in fighting the inevitable at this point lol. There really is no chance for this cocky bitch to win lmao. Everyone has already decided who I am for me. Can't change their opinions now.
Arvin Bentonon
Now, I really need to step up my game. This will serve as a wake up call for me to not take for granted individual immunities. I'm gonna fight til the end.
Trinica
I hope nobody is paying too much attention to the touchy subjects results because...it could kind of blow up my game. Not me getting 2 votes for closest ally!! I'm assuming it's Jinx and Toni BUT it's awkward because I didn't put either of them, and nobody put Toni. I think I can convince Jinx I put her if necessary, but I worry Toni will start feeling insecure in the vecepia alliance.
I also got a vote for who has an idol and who will win if they're not voted out , I honestly feel like both of those came from AJ because I voted her for both categories as well. We're playing Rusdian Roulette with this alliance (is that the right metaphor?)
Thankfully, she has 5 other people who think she's playing too hard. I think that result is what will pull attention, hopefully. Using AJ as a shield has always been the game plan, but she's making herself TOO much of a target at the moment.
Tyler Frazier
Raffy and Hairie are running a smear campaign on Esteban and I currently and Bethany is trying to defend us. Hope she does good work like the girlboss she is. However for me it’s just a bit odd for Hairie and Raffy to try and come for Esteban and I because what’s their argument? We know about the non mens alliance from them? They didn’t do whatever we wanted? We quite literally saved someone in their alliance when Bethany could have been a easy vote and would have made the merge a lot less messy. I hope that the 4 of them can see that and side with us and when it comes time to talk game I’m gonna make that clear to them aswell.
Esteban
First of all, my sincerity apology for not being able to play the challenge. It has been a long day. I hope this will not happen again (fingers cross)
So, Tony called me and told me about Raffy calling out my name and Tyler’s name. And it was confirmed by Bethany that Raffy really started to pulling the girls on his side. (Which I respect). But we will not backdown on this battle. I started talking to the HIDRA girls with exception of Jinx yet (as she might not available or just don’t wanna talk to me yet) and come clear and accepted my fault of calling their alliance out. I hope that would help. And I voting with Bethany should be a testimony that i wanna still work with them again until near end.
I hope with the backing of Toni and bethany that I will survive yet another tribal. But if not then no regrets, i played with my best and satisfied. Period. :)
And oh yes. Raffy started the war. So the only thing to do is to end it. May the odds be with me or not. :)
Jinx
merge jinxcast 🫶🏽💕 “i know i’m playing like a villain but i have a hero’s heart” https://voca.ro/1hdoVXSHz6HJ
i talk about where i’ve been, where i’m going, what weighs heavy and what could be better than i could even imagine. who i’ll be at the end of this journey and what does it mean to truly want something for yourself?
Toni
Theme: Struggle life.
I’ve come to terms with the fact that this has been a relatively game for most of the returnees but the way my anxiety is set up. I’m anxious every tribal even though my name isn’t up.
I’m also currently on holiday with the family. So struggle life trying to participate.
Signing off struggling.
Trinica
It's possible I'm being blindsided but I really think I'm running this vote. Raffy seems to trust me, Hairie and Arvin put me into a chat together and seem to trust me, Esteban thinks I've bought his BS (unless Bethany told him otherwise). I told Raffy Esteban's saying his name, I told Esteban Raffy's saying he's spreading my name around. I suggested to both we vote for JayJay to flush out the idol that the other might have. It's just beautiful. Everything is working according to plan.
JayJay is a boring vote but one that will cement Hidra in the majority without me having to sacrifice these new alliances.
My only worry is Bethany, who I think at this point is much more aligned with Tyler and Esteban than she ever was with us. I don't trust her at all.
Raffy
The strategy this round has been kind of crazy. I’ve basically given myself over to AJ and Trinica. I have made it very clear and explicit to a few people that I want Esteban to be taken out of this game. I want him gone because I just don’t know if I can ever really trust him at this point. He’s a person who smiles to your face while they’re stabbing you in the back. I believe he never really had any intention in working with me. Also it’s interesting hearing AJ’s side of the story as it makes Esteban out to be the person who overplayed. Anyways, I want him gone. Trinica was very receptive at first, but idol paranoia is at an all time high. She wants to flush any idols Esteban may have so she suggested that we actually vote for JayJay so that he doesn’t see it coming. I feel bad because I know JayJay hasn’t been feeling well and I don’t want to seem like I’m betraying old Tromoya. However, Trinica also told me that JayJay told Bethany that I have an idol. That’s definitely suspicious. If whoever voted with Bethany last tribal wanted Tromoya never to work together or wanted us to take each other out because of paranoia, it worked. Because all last tribal managed to do was give Hidra numbers, Bethany power in this game, and Tromoya to not be unified coming into merge. Congrats to those people. So I’m very hesitant to trust that JayJay didn’t vote for Hairie. Especially considering that she was expressing extreme hesitance in voting for Bethany. I don’t who to trust anymore. I just want Esteban out of this game. I don’t know if I’ll use my idol because maybe I won’t even need it to succeed and will need it later. But, how can I trust anyone if they all just think im the biggest threat. This game is too hard. If only we could go back to the OG plan of voting Esteban
Tyler Frazier
I just felt like I should give a confessional but I honestly don’t know what to say because every plan I’ve been told makes absolutely no sense and nobody cares enough about me to actually ask and or consider how I think the vote should go. Tempted to take a nap and wake up before tribal and just ask who I’m supposed to vote.
-
Honestly I think this round alone makes survivor Gabon look like a master class in gameplay bc we are all just collectively as a cast not slaying gameplay wise. At least we aren’t a boring cast though!
Trinica
Jinx I am begging you.....I am BEGGING YOU............please stop throwing wrenches in the voting plan 3 hours before tribal. PLEASE
Bethany
okay honestly this round is the biggest hot mess i have ever seen in my entire life.
first off all - i fucking slayed that challenge so hard and for what??? i could have taken a nap in the middle of it and still won. literally slackers :yawn: can't wait to be targeted next round for being an immunity threat <33
second of all - WHY DO PEOPLE IN PINK VENOM STILL THINK THERE IS ANY SEMBLANCE OF SECRET ABOUT ITS EXISTENCE????????? it literally could not possibly be more exposed and it is so irritating trying to work around these random nonsense split vote plans
third of all - champ is such an annoying ally this game i seriously can't with her much longer. she is MIA 24/7, does not advocate for tyler and i in any way, has no clue what is going on, and overall is just not someone i want to work with at this point!! i think she would honestly be in a much better position if she had committed to flipping to us and not having all of us lie and pretend its BRANDI WHO LITERALLY SAID SHE DID NOT FLIP it is the most unbelievable story ever and irritating because like ..... what is the point???
at this point i want to be voted off before ftc because i can't even explain any of this. it is so messy for no reason. also not a fan of pink venom all being so buddy buddy with raffy all of a sudden! it's really pissing me off when the entire reason i was targeted was because god forbid i worked with them again come merge and now that is exactly what raffy is doing here! glad to know it's cool for him but not me! KASJDF;LKDJSFKDSAFJKLDSAJF i can't i can't i can't not a single soul is playing this round well except maybe arvin because that man has said not a peep and that's smart as fuck like you go little goat give us nothing!!! it's better than the rest of this!!
-
Champ acting like we can orchestrate an entire vote with only 3 of us 90 minutes before tribal <33 ma'am.
-
vibes of everyone this tribal:
AJ/Trinica - proposing crazy splits that don't add up mathematically, in denial about pink venom being a secret Toni - just vibes Arvin - who? Champ/Jayjay - clueless era Esteban - paranoid Hairie - no idea Jinx - in love with raffy Raffy - controlling everyone because they are sheep who believe anything they hear, king who needs to be taken out Tyler/I - lord help us
Tyler Frazier
I have had to take Tylenol two times today from the headaches I’ve gotten trying to figure out what’s happening tonight. Anyways I’ll be back when I know who I’m supposed to vote and I’ll probably still be confused and or annoyed
Bethany
not trinica calling an alliance with AJ in it the “non-chaotic” players
Tyler Frazier
I’m gonna vote for Hairie bc that’s what I was told but apparently that’s not the real plan. Or it is. Who knows? Not me Esteban or Bethany
Hairie
Sleeping and waking up to last minute scrambling again. Turns out it was me and wrong to trust Trinica and a few others. Going out with the cutest outfit ever and first member of the Jury. I'm rooting for Raffy Jayjay or Trinica to win.
