Inside Sebastian is standing next to Hanna with his arms crossed in front of his chest:” Still can’t believe this.” It makes his wife laugh: ” Lewis is a good guy, one of the best. GILDARTS HAD ONLY HEARD ABOUT the infamous Battle of Fairy Tail through the stories. He hadn‘t been an active participant, but he had learned details through the guild master. Makarov had expressed his grief over his grandson orchestrating the incident, learning about Laxus‘ exile. He wasn‘t directly involved but he found it devastating.

        He had watched Laxus grow up, and while he hadn‘t always been present, he had considered the Lightning Dragon Slayer like a child. Their bond had been similar to his relationship with Natsu, existing even before the Fire Dragon Slayer‘s arrival to the guild. Even though the other had stepped into adulthood, his maturity evident by his tall stature ( the same height as him ) and refined features, he still saw him as the young boy he‘d pranked and teased, forcing him to go fishing with him against his will. Those memories had stuck with him, maintaining his fondness towards the younger mage.

        The battle is over ( or so they believed ), and everyone is exhausted, badly needing reprieve. He takes this opportunity to converse with Laxus, moving away from the group to get some privacy. He senses how tensed he is, most likely regretful and ashamed, but he‘s not here to berate him or judge him. Knowing him, he‘d already done that to himself.

        The Lightning Dragon slayer gives his consent to punch him or do whatever he wants, but he doesn‘t take him up on it. ❝I‘m not going to punish you or scold you,❞ he clarifies his intentions. ❝Besides, you‘ve paid for your mistakes, and clearly, you‘re doing some reflection and punishing yourself.❞ He sighs. ❝I just want to check up on you. You came here even if you didn‘t have to, and that counts for something.❞
