i always think about george and the way he's described by his peers as silly and always able to light up a room. and while those qualities are very much true, there's a quieter part of him that goes un-talked about, that can even go unnoticed when he won't tell you "i love you" six-and-a-half hours into his longest livestream ever. when saying "i love you" is as easy as breathing to you but seems like choking on air for him.

he won't tell you he loves you, but he'll sit on call with you while you go through the motions of your latest obsession. he won't tell you he loves you, but he'll get on stage with you to sing a song even though he'd usually be uncomfortable with that, all because you asked him to. he won't tell you he loves you, but if you go down, he'll crash and burn with you.

george doesn't tend to show his love through words. because words don't feel Enough.

how can it, when love for him is all-consuming, all-encompassing, when putting it into words would only take away from its intensity?

it's an inability to truly articulate everything that he feels. it's an acknowledgement that he loves deeply, that the words are close to his heart and not the tip of his tongue. it's an implication that love can transcend spoken word, that it can be found in the gentle way he looks at you.

but maybe, just maybe, if he loved you any less, he'd be able to talk about it more.
