#i need whoever said ‘if you’re a fan of heartstopper you need to watch heartbreak high’ to stay as far away from me as possible#these shows aren’t remotely on the same level#i celebrate hbh for its diverse cast— for sure#but they’re still two entirely different shows#i would sooner say ‘if you’re a fan of netflix’s sex education you need to watch heartbreak high’#or ‘if you’re a fan of euphoria you need to watch heartbreak high’#cause at least those shows have more in common than just taking place in high school#heartstopper is a different show entirely to heartbreak high#and i really watched it just cause someone said that#i should have known better and while i did watch it in its entirety it was so deeply upsetting#leave something that is genuinely wholesome alone and not recommend something without the list of trigger warnings#disrespectfully#i guess the moral is don’t take recommendations from people online#at least heartstopper is a show made for teens who are teens#also as self aware as netflix wants to be hbh really failed on its memo of trying to ‘show healthy examples’ it’s just crude and dramatic#oddvents
