fun fact we learned in my classes to become an industrial electrician: hey did you know how much amperage it takes to kill you?
0.7a
thats ZERO POINT SEVEN. LESS THAN ONE AMP. what's that? household circuits are 15-20 amps? (in america (standardized amperage and voltage varies between countries)) WHY YES THEY ARE !!!!
that's split and transformed way way down in both amp and volts from the overhead lines, btw, which google says average 700amps
were they hitting these numbers in the days of early electricity? unknown, but as aforementioned. it don't take much. be afraid.
Stupid is timeless.
#i work as a stage electrician with 20 and 60 amp circuits#and i did not respect them for YEARS#“oh electricity is dangerous i guess”#“probably you should be careful i guess”#was the vibe i had#i really really did not Get It until i was told HOW MUCH EXTREMELY /MORE/ THAN DEADLY those circuits were#also fun nitpick#did you know it's only “electrocution” if you die? otherwise it's just being shocked
