What's your opinion on dinbo? I've been seeing some legit unhinged interpretations of it lately

i personally dislike it. i think it does no good for either of their characters, and while i understand why some people like it, i just personally can't stand it. and it's not that i hate either din or bo in this scenario, but it's mostly because the dinbo fandom is... really... well. how do i say this.

once i found a dinbo art of them making out (it was hella detailed and impressive btw) with the caption "take me to church" 💀 like... guys... that song is for gay people. that song is a GAY ANTHEM. you can't just use that for your comphet ship 😭 it made my blood boil. that, along with the fact that dinbo shippers are using the "clan of three" tag?? that's so wrong. clan of three was coined by the dinluke fandom (dincobb slightly as well) and i don't think it's really that great to take another fandom ship tag yk? maybe i'm just overreacting. i just feel like dinbo is really comphet and i dislike that a lot. also like imagine going through your fandom ship tag looking for some family/clan stuff for your ship and you find a completely different ship overtaking the entire tag that had been used for your ship since forever? that's how i felt seeing dinbo coming to rise. it's not even about the ship at this point, it's about the fandom and how i feel like they're shoving their comphet shit down our throats.

and i often see arguments like "you guys just hate straight ships!" and stuff like that but it's like ??? no??? i don't care about straight or gay ships or whatever. literally does not matter to me. anidala? love it. obitine? love it. dinluke? love it. barrisoka? love it. nitearmor? love it. dincobb? love it. kanera? love it. it's literally not about gay ships or straight ships, it's about the fact that these characters who literally hate each other are being shipped and that content is being forced in everyone's faces.

anyway bo-katan was really racist in general (esp to boba fett) and she called din's covert a cult, which does NOT fly with me. she invalidated him and his devotion to the creed. she was so clearly set up to be an antagonist before s3 came out, idk why they switched it up so suddenly. while they work well together, i don't ship them at all really. at MOST i'll accept like a really weird friendly rivalry but i don't like seeing them together. i do have mutuals who ship them and i don't really care if someone does or not, but i personally dislike seeing it. i'll leave it at that.

But also you mentioned that it'll have Sirius/Remus (right?) That's also not canon though (and i actually think that both Ron/Harry and Sirius/James make more sense than wolfstar)

I'm not being a hater i just really don't understand. If it's just your preference to not have ronarry it's obv alright but if it's just them not being together in canon or them not being attracted to men then it's a bit illogical cause Sirius and Remus are also not implied by jkr to be gay and/or in love in canon. Would love to hear your thoughts. It's just the way you wrote Ron and Harry interacting made me ship them even more. You may not realize it even but you made such a good setup for this ship. It just felt so natural in your fic. (And also Daphne. I wouldn't mind if Ron ended up with her either tbh)

Nothing against Ronarry. In fact, personally, I think they just as much chemistry as RonHermione. But it's just not my preference for TBA, although given how their friendship will progress here, I can see why TBA might come across as Ronarry. Ron's Harry's Wheezy, after all.

It has nothing to do with following canon, like what I've said. Just that for this fic I feel Wolfstar is a good fit, while Ron and Harry's love interests lie elsewhere.

On a personal note, I see SiriusJames as more of a one-sided thing on Sirius' part, if I play it in a romantic angle. It is canon that Sirius seems to care a whole lot about James, to the point that it's a bit of an unhealthy influence on his and Harry's own relationship, much like what Molly implied in OOTP. So yeah, I can see it happening from Sirius' side.

James, on the other hand, I think is too devoted to Lily to see someone else in a romantic light (no matter how hard he tries to). There's also the bit that he and Sirius are a bit too similar, except James knows that there are some lines that should not be crossed. (I blame Sirius being raised by the Blacks, and the resentment that came with it, for his slightly skewed sense of morals).

But I do respect that you think they are a better pair than Wolfstar. I just like Wolfstar more hehe.

I recently got a chonker from I_Put_Myself_Back_In_The_Narrative on ch6 detailing specifically how I write Ed's emotional moments and I—I teared up, okay. I put SO MUCH work into Ed's crying moments because fmab canon dictates it's illegal for him to cry or whatever, and that makes it hard to decide if he's in-character during these moments! (Thank god for 03 tho.) I've got a regular named Keyboard too that always leaves such long and sweet comments and I look forward to their comments specifically.

I'm maybe exposing myself with this but. Possessive. THE VERY FIRST WORD I filter for when journeying into a new fandom/ship is "possessive". I crave possessiveness in fics like nothing else. NOTHING!!! Roleswap is a close second depending on the fandom; I didn't apply it to, say, fma, but I sure as hell did for sk8 and httyd. I search for canon divergences in general.

Kinda answered this earlier but yeah I def prefer canon divergence. I very rarely touch canon compliant stuff (and actively exclude the tag sometimes), but I also don't swerve toward stuff like modern aus. It really depends for "wildly original"? I won't touch modern/coffee shop/no powers aus with a ten foot pool (I'm very particular if you DO sell me on one), but more vibe-y settings? Like old-timey, fantasy, magic, etc... That stuff I gobble up.

I'd love to receive fanart for any of my fics, frankly (even my other fandom stuff!!), but rn Crown is what I covet fanart for. It's literally "what if edling was endgame in the anime", so ofc I have visions of how Big Scenes would look in the hypothetical anime!! Ofc!!

I've got silly and serious visions. My latest fancy is serious and it's literally anything from ch6. ESPECIALLY the ravine scene where Ed gets his oh and the moonlight spills onto him and Greed and it's so scenic and pretty and Ed's blushing and wide-eyed—

Other serious visions include edling's first date in ch1, the hospital scene from ch2, Ling proposing to asking Ed to stay in ch3, Ed watching Ling get possessed in ch4 (I HAVE A VISION OKAY.
