i’m always sad on my birthday. it’s a tradition of sorts.

today i woke up and my girlfriend, who i must point out does Not live with me, simply Was downstairs with an olaf cutout, a balloon, and a cake she made herself to resemble ice and snow because i jokingly once told her i’d order a frozen cake if i were ever to have a birthday party. (but i wouldn’t, because i don’t like my birthday. always sad on it, like i said.) she waited for me to stop crying and then handed me my present — it was a bessie coleman barbie!! i cried again lmao. we sat down, had cake for breakfast then did what we do best — fuck all — until it was lunch time. i cooked us lunch and then we went to get all dolled up because it’s my birthday, i deserve to at least look hot. we went to the mall to hunt for hello kitty 50th anniversary collection stuff. found some things!! got a free lipstick and a free chocolate truffle bc It’s My Birthday Gimme Free Shit. then we left for this japanese place i’ve been meaning to try for some time, and holy shit, it was SO good. best sushi i’ve ever had. i had a tuna nigiri with truffle oil and this little spicy pepper that was so good i might actually cry thinking about it

ANYWAY.

i’m always sad on my birthday. it’s a tradition of sorts. there are reasons and i could sit here and explain them to you but the truth of the matter is i cannot remember one single one of them for the life of me. i cannot name one. i’m sure they exist but today there was a good morning, happy birthday, i love you and a cardboard olaf and coffee with her favorite cornbread and shimeji for lunch and old 90s nostalgia as we got dressed and a dress she picked out to match mine and hello kitty glazed nuts and some very good fucking sushi and honestly, i can’t think of anything else right now. i can’t and i won’t occupy my mind with anything else at this moment. i’ll remember the bad anniversaries later, i’m sure. maybe i’ll remember them when it’s useful. maybe it will never be. ever again. maybe this is how all of my birthdays from now on go. maybe this is how they were always supposed to be. i don’t know. i wouldn’t, would i? but for once i’ll leave the dread for later. i don’t care about you, ugly ugly thing. for now, it’s all sunshine up in here, baby!

I actually want to congratulate you on your work because what I don't think a lot of people in this fandom understand is that Riko is a character that is FUCKING HARD to get right. Not just to understand, but to WRITE. You can't make him too unhinged or he's just a cartoon villain and you can't make his actions too light (If you're writing within canon) or he looks like a pathetic clown instead of the actual threat he is on canon and if you aim for the middle he can end up just bland (AND I WILL SAY the greatest offenders in this are Riko haters and not his stans). And even in your most redemptionest AUs you manage to write him in a way that is consistent with the existing characterisation. I have yet to come across from a post by you that didn't make me think "yeah, if things went different, he could have turned out like this"

I feel pretty honoured I feel like I just won fandom and riko is shipped to me in the post . I would like to thank my parents for making me fucked up enough to get him.

There is few things that contribute to it all pretty much. And I will use this as excuse to talk about them all its 7 am and I slept 4 hours let's goooo

I actually see riko as very pathetic and non threat myself and I'm pretty sure Neil and most foxes do as well because even on my first reading of the books something stuck out to me pręty severly

Characters who actually killed people in those books

Andrew Aaron Renee Neil ? The foxes are pretty hands on with murder

Riko? Riki never actually got his hands dirty it does separate him already in cannon as all bark no bite whose only way to be intimidating is to use family name and people who follow him menawhile Riko himself is scary only to Kevin.

Riko's buildup in narrative as threat is very good but I really wouldn't confuse it as fear of him himself.

Riko is pathetic used and delusional

I'm sorry if this is spitting onto what you said I am happy you like my things but I truly believe that riko is pathetic and I say this fully loving his character and issues his character puts light on.

He is scary only if you give him power as abuser (wchih is what this fandom does a lot in their need to have black and white villian ) but as a person he is pathetic.

But seeing riko as pathetic is seen by people as " he is poor and sad and I don't want to feel this way about him BC he is bad person "

He is not pathetic little kitty

He is pathetic eaten by anger and frustrations and unable to cry from all the pain he is in I can see how killing him could be seen as mercy actually.

Another thing I think people don't get right

Is that riko is not 100% delusional about his value

He has skills and he knows he is worth something he is fighting to have his father acknowledge it not because he does not feel worthy but because he knows he has a lot to offer and wants a chance to show it

He does not feel worthles he is just frustrated that others see him as such

Also growing pains are important thing to show

I think saddest and my favourite thing about riko is that the better person you let him be the more unhappy he will be.being good person won't erase things he did in the past and hurt he caused and the further you go the heavier it will be on his conscience and this is balance in act and I have way too many versions of the story where I let him snap

So yeah riko is pathetic clown and he is scary only when you don't understand this I'm sorry to blow his cover like that !

Maybe my reading of character is different in the end we all base things we create on things we know and while I never did such horrible things I know how it feels to grow into being a better person than I used to be and I know how it feels to still not believe you did got better even when I have friends to prove. There is a lot of comfort in seeing someone so horrible get nice things not because I did those horrible things but because I know how it feels to not deserve anything nice and hate myself enough to self sabotage.

I could go on also to talk about difference between gloryfying physical abuse in fandom and ignoring psychological abuse but maybe that's a talk for another time.

Someone found a litter of kitties on the side of the road and posted pictures online to try and find them homes. We saw one of them who looked exactly like our cat that just died, and we took it as a sign to get her. Me and mom went to the house to pick up the kitty. We get there, we pick up Petunia, and while mom and the lady are talking, I get to meet the other kitties. I fall in love with the runt of the littler. Mom sees this and gets them too. And now we have two kitties.

We thought the runt, Bonzie, was a guy at first, we named her Mr. Sads. We found out she was a girl 2 weeks after we got her.

but since i kept their first meeting as the one that happened in Retrace 37-41, I changed the scene to whatever happens in the fic. i do wanna write a short fic solely on the tavern premise some day lol

today was a good day i think. well the first part of the day wasnt very good i was very unmotivated and a little depressed. it was hard to get out of bed and do the things i needed to do. at least i washed my face and brushed my teeth. thats my goal for a whole 7 days straight. mosrly because on my mental health goal cute app it says if i meet this goal i will get a little pet for my little pet. i also get more money to buy clothes and furniture for my pet. my pet is a bird penguin thing named baby and theyre very cute. they are purple and black but i can dye their haie if i buy it. i want ro get rhem a whole kitty outfit but the shop is random every day and i need to save up my money too. u get money when.u log in and when u make or finish goals or u do breathing exercises its a lot of things to get money. Ok brb carlo is texting me. Ok im back anyways it was like that all day sad and lazy and unmotivated but i managed to at least tidy up the room and sweep the floor and feed the cats and clean the litterbox. then later in the evening we went to savers and i got a bunch of cute purses. i also got the little idog music baby dancing thing. i need batteries though. my sister also visited for a little and it was fun she likes the kitties. oh yeah:( carson tried to bbite otto today. except he wasnt mad at him it was bc otto was being crazy and jumped on him and scared him he wasn’t hurt but he got scared:( ok brb again ok yes he wasnt heurr but now he is scared of carson more. otto is so crazy. i think it is good i went out today. i dont go outside my house very often. now i am watchinf yourube cory kenshin detroit become human gameplay. i was going to color but now otto is laying on me wnd he is too cute and i am a ltitle too tired. tomorrow i am getting 2 new coloring books. it started when bruce was small. his parents had just died & he needed support. alfred was great & all, but he was still bruce’s pseudo-father & bruce didn’t want to bother him with the issues™ he was having.

so one day, when they were done with dinner, bruce went “alfred, can we get a dog?” in hopes that caring for an animal would help him get over his grief.

knowing that bruce was a child & children don’t really know how to care for an animal without guidance & fearing that a dog would break everything / not get trained right, alfred suggested a cat instead. they’re low matience pets, but still need enough care to provide that feeling bruce was after. “plus, master bruce, cats are the most abandoned animal. wouldn’t you like to help a species in need?”

they went to a shelter the next day. now, this shelter has several rooms just filled with cats. twenty cats per room. four rooms in total. eighty cats to choose from. small bruce is overwhelmed.

one of the workers told them to sit in one of the rooms & see if one of the cats chose them. that’s exactly what they did. bruce sat on the floor (alfred lamented cleaning the slacks later, but his charge was happy) and waited. a maine coon sniffed him and plopped themselves in his lap. bruce looked up, stroking the kitty, and just told alfred, “that’s my cat.”

alfred sighed. of course the young master would get the biggest cat with the longest fur in the shelter.

for those that are out of the loop: maine coons are huge cats. they keep growing for years (most cats reach full-grown at around a year). one the small end, they’re 10in tall & 13lbs. they are the second largest domesticated cat breed (second only to the savannah cat, which is a serval & a regular housecat hybrid). they’re fur is also long as hell & so they need constant brushing.

however, he knew that this was for the best. he promised bruce that he could get whichever cat he wanted as long as he would take care of them.

wilde (named after oscar wilde bc that was the name the shelter gave him & renaming a three y/o cat would be too much effort) came home that day, his massive body wrapped in a blanket as bruce held him.

by the time bruce is thinking batman thoughts, wilde is twelve. not a super old cat, but enough to be considered geriatric (i would know, my cat is eleven & geriatric).

he’s working on the batsuit & wilde will just fuckin’ curl up on top of it. polishing a batarang to make sure that this is a piece of equipment that will work? wilde is going to try & eat it while he’s holding it.

this amuses alfred (& bruce too, but he will not admit it).

when it’s time for batman’s first patrol, bruce is suddenly very glad that he got a cat & not a dog bc all he has to do is fill wilde’s food & water bowls for the night & the cat will just chill. a dog would have needed a walk at least before bruce could leave.

now, wilde is nearing twenty & bruce knows he could die any day now. his cat is in so much pain from his body breaking down that bruce decides to take him to the vet & get him euthanized. he stays with wilde the whole time, knowing it will be easier for the kitty if he’s with his best friend.

bruce is sad bc his best friend is now dead & alfred suggests he goes to the circus that’s in town to distract his mind for a while. it’s not a permanent fix, both of them know that, but it will help in the short term.

oh fuck that kid’s parents are dead.

shit i see myself in him.

“oh hey alfred, just so you know i am now a guardian. please prepare a bedroom by mine for tonight.”

so yeah, dick is now at the manor & is very angsty. bruce is concerned over dick’s angst bc “a nine year old should not look that sad.” in a last ditch effort to get him to smile, bruce is like “do you wanna get a cat? it helped me when my parents died.”

dick, who grew up with only the animals who were part of the acts (horses, camels, a couple of elephants, that one dog in the unicorn costume), was curious about the possibility of a pet.

they go to the same shelter that bruce did as a kid, alfred remaining in the car this time, & chill in one of the cat rooms.

a tuxedo cat paws their way onto bruce’s head & just sits there. there is a cat on the millionaire’s head. the staff think it’s the funniest shit & dick’s wants to adopt on the spot.

(this is all based on how i adopted my cat. she’s a tuxedo mix & while we were chilling in one of the cat rooms, she just climbed onto my dad’s head. i was like “that’s my cat” & a week later, cleocatra came home).

this cat, a ten-month-old girl, gets renamed “haly” bc dick misses his sorta-grandpa figure.

“sure you don’t want to add an ‘e,’ chum? haley looks a lot prettier for a girl kitty.”

“no. buzz off.”

alfred fuckin’ adores haly.

tuxedos are known to be playful & talkative cats. this was perfect for dick because once he came out of his shell, he & haly would sit there meowing at each other.

bruce remembers the horror on his face when he found dick on one of the chandeliers, holding a stupidly long rope down for haly to play with. the two were having a conversation in cat & romani.

“alfred, the kid’s hanging from the ballroom chandelier & holding a rope down for the cat.”

“ah, good for them. physical activity is good for young bodies.”

“alfred, he’s on the chandelier!”

“it is okay, master bruce, we will replace it if it breaks. now leave the kitchen before i regret never retiring.”

the next day, bruce is working on adding gymnastics & aerialist stuff to the home gym. he even adds a custom cat tower around the edges & up the ceiling so haly can be with them as they train.

haly’s not allowed in the batcave, though. even after dick becomes robin. bruce learned his lesson letting wilde roam the cave (he got stuck on top of the batcomputer once; he snuck into the batmobile another time).

when dick runs away / gets fired, he takes haly with him. he doesn’t know how he’s going to feed himself & a cat, but he is not willing to leave his cat with bruce.

then jason steals wheels. he comes back to the manor with bruce.

now, jason doesn’t want a cat. he doesn’t want a dog. all he wants is to finally get to be a kid.

this causes bruce to realize how much he misses having a cat around the manor.

so what does a man with more money than he knows what to do with do? adopts another cat.

this one is a mix-breed, but no one knows for sure what the mix is. her name is “shiloh” & she’s a little over a year at time of adoption. her coat is mostly brown with flecks of white. her face is white, but her ears & top of head are brown.

the best guess as to what makes her is burmese based on ear shape & dominant coloring, but the vet isn’t quite sure.

jason, despite his insistence that he didn’t want a pet, loves shiloh more than life itself.

dick comes back to reconcile his new robin-hate & all of his & bruce’s issues only to see a new cat in the manor.

“hey alf? who’s this?”

“that would be shiloh. master bruce missed having a cat around, so we adopted her soon after jason’s arrival.”

“that tracks.”

the batfam is now faced with a problem. if dick is going to be around more often, smelling like haly, then haly & shiloh will end up smelling each other on him. the cats need to meet for a bit, so they won’t attack dick bc of the other’s scent.

queue everyone searching “how to make my cats like each other” in preparation.

one of the most common ways to get cats to tolerate each other is to put them in their carriers, place the carriers nose to nose, & leave them there. problem! dick never bought haly a carrier. she’s a leash trained girl who is fully willing to just chill™ in the car on the way to the vet.

this leads to bruce holding shiloh in her carrier, standing in one of the spare living rooms, ready to place the cats together to simply exist in the other’s presence. dick shows up, haly walking herself as dick holds her leash, sipping a smoothie bc it was titans squad hangout day earlier. he sees bruce & shiloh & just bluescreens.

“what’s shiloh in?”

“her carrier??? like haly should be???”

what they end up doing is letting the cats loose in the room. jason is working on his homework in the background bc he wanted to be there to make sure shiloh would stay safe.

he doesn’t fully trust dick yet. & therefore, he doesn’t trust dick’s cat.

surprising all four of the waynes, haly & shiloh stare at each other for a while, sniff faces, then start playing with haly’s leash like it’s a piece of string.

when jason dies, shiloh refuses to remove herself from his grave for a week. alfred has to bring her food & water out to her.

sidenote: when he claws his way out of the grave, shiloh is the one who sees it as she still likes to lay on his headstone bc the stone is warm & she misses her boy.

tim does not like the cats. he is allergic. bruce budgets for antihistamine eyedrops & benadryl. alfred upgrades the vacuum to reduce the amount of allergens in the air. the family brings shiloh to the groomer for bathing biweekly to help her shed less (which means less fur in the air which means less allergens).

dick doesn’t do nearly as much with haly, considering she’s only in the manor at max once a month as shiloh & haly like to hang out, but he does make sure he’s wearing fur-free clothes anytime he’s heading for the manor. tim’s also not allowed in his car bc of all the fur.

stephanie may have never been adopted, but she spent enough time at the manor that she got attached™ to shiloh & became a cat person. this lead to her adopting a devon rex / tabby mix after her emancipation. her cat’s a five year old boy named “miles.”

the rest of the batfam thinks that her cat is the ugliest out of the three. she agrees, but only because miles has massive ears that make him look like he’s about to become a helicopter.

this does not deter her from thinking that miles is the best cat. all cat owners think their cat is best cat & steph is no different.

they had to do with steph & miles what they did to dick & haly so steph won’t get pounced. dick still doens’t have a carrier for haly, so all three cats explore one of the spare rooms with their person’s watchful eye. that day was tim’s nightmare for his allergies, but after that day, he decided that the cats weren’t so bad.

by the time jason comes back & cass joins the family, haly is ten, shiloh is three, & miles has just turned six.

when damian first shows up, he is upset that he can’t get a cat, even though there’s three other cats to chill with as dick & steph are more than willing to let the tyke hang out with haly or miles.

a couple years go by & damian rescues this great dane during a flood.

no one but damian wants the dog. there’s already a cat at the manor & “get along like cats & dogs” is an idiom for a reason. however, bruce says that if damian can manage to get this dog & shiloh to get along, then damian can keep the dog.

titus is now in the family. he & shiloh are actually best buds (you know those pictures of the tiny cat sleeping on the big dog? that’s titus & shiloh).

titus hates haly & miles, though. he tolerates their scent on steph & dick as long as he’s allowed to rub his own onto them.

duke adores the cats & dog. he loves all of them. at first, he wondered why a family that needed to be able to leave at the drop of a hat (batsignal, league business, team / titans business, etc) would ever get a dog, but after hearing titus’s story fell in love with the pup even more.

we all now that duke is dayshift. this means he’s slightly more public than his fellow bats. this lead to him doing a public appearance at the animal shelter than all three wayne cats were originally from. during this appearance, he notices one of the employees shoving an ocicat kitten & a toyger kitten into a single carrier which is not only not protocal, but very suspicious.

he began his own investigation. turns out that employee had been planning on illegally selling off those kittens considering that ocicats are expensive & toygers even more so. they had been operating as a shelter volunteer in order to get cats to traffic.

duke got attached to the kittens over the course of his investigation to take down the trafficker. he took them back to the manor and told bruce “either we adopt these lil’ guys or i’m calling off my adoption.”

(he would never call off his own adoption--he knew it, bruce knew it, everyone knew it--but it got the point that he was attached across).

the kittens were legally adopted through the shelter. the ocicat was named “james” & the toyger was named “alexis,” simply to spite anyone who says “animals with people names are confusing.”

james, alexis, shiloh, & titus all chill in the manor. titus sometimes acts as a bus--the kittens receiving rides around the house--& damian openly admits that this means that his dog is the best animal in the house.

“grayson’s haly is second best. the cat is leash-trained and knows tricks!”

selina, when she finds out that her on-again-off-again lover has had a cat obsession since before he was batman, she laughs her ass off for the rest of the night. it’s so funny to her.

“like, damn bruce! and here i thought i was catwoman! i think that title belongs to you & your five cats!”

“i only have three cats, selina. you know this. one is dick’s & one is stephanie’s.”

“jesus christ. how do you afford all that cat food? nevermind that! how do you afford all the litter??”

“you’re having way too much fun for a woman going to jail.”

james & alexis have yet to meet either haly or miles, but after titus’s reaction to those two, the family isn’t too keen on trying to get a james, alexis, haly, & miles playdate going.

Alright i puss in boots, i have a whole lot of feelings about it, so buckle up! This is gonna be long, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!

So im a very grand dreamworks fan, they where one of my main inspiration on why i want to become an animator, through my whole life, on 2020 i got incredibly hyperfixated on dreamworks as a studio (their history, production of their movies yadayada) that hyperfixation has followed me to beginnings of 2022 so im very god damn attached to this studio (cuz autism) so man i got so emotional when i saw the new intro i started tearing up aaaa, okay now onto the movie.

After the universal buy of dreamworks i was very fucking worried about the future of the animation studio, so much so that i really just accepted httyd 3 as their last movie, they went out with a bang i sated to myself, and i wasn't much more re-comforted when their first movie after the buy was abominable, is a nice movie yes! But it has that illumination-e feeling of being just a safe product (regarding its story, thr animation is fucking gorgeous) and then it came trolls world tour (sure was okay) the boss baby sequel, the croods 2 (i actually really liked this one it was very funny and creative!) Spirit untamed (what a sick joke! I mean the animation is pretty and all but ive always hated the spirit series bc of shiting all over the og movie, sorry im salty abt this one) But then! The bad guys came out!! And it was such a fun and creative and beautiful movie!! Having such an awesome art, so dynamic and cool the mix of 2d and 3d it was just so cool! and such a fun story and it was just soo good!!! And it gave me so much hope for the future of the studio!! Specially after seeing the trailer for the puss in boots movie!! Seeing that dreamworks is also taking this more experimental approach to animation made me sososo happy!! And yk i was going to watch puss in boots only for the animation before, i didnt really tough it would have much of a deep story i was contempt with just watching a silly goofy movie with beautiful animation!

And don't get me wrong the first puss in boots haves very good story and the emotional moments landed pretty well!! I just didn't think dreamworks would do that kind of stuff anymore (due to what they've been putting out lately being mainly funny silly movies [wich theres nothing wrong with!!]) BUT HOLY CHEESE N RISE!! Through this movie, if i wasn't tearing up about how cool and beautiful the animation and the fight scenes where, i was tearing up about gato's conflict with his fear of death and his relationship with kitty and fucking seeing gato's past life with shrek and donky and man im so emotional about this

And also the music it was soo good i absolutely adored the motif for the death and the little "dreamworks motif"™ at the end it was so beautiful

And the character design!!!! Omg it was soo good, DEATH HOLLY MOLLY DEATH he looked sooo goood it was so fucking scary and cool!!! And his weapon!!!!! And then theres the little dog he was soo cute, and the other guy that i forgot his name!! And goldi and the three bears!!!!

Speaking of which i also really fucking loved goldi and the three bears' acr and their interactions where absolutely delightful and nice!! And i really loved their ending

And perrito's and kitty's story, and the final confrontation of gato and death!!! And aaaa it was all so beautiful and awesome and cool and dazzling, and then the ending of perrito, kitty, and gato going to far far away, and the scene at the beginning of the first fight of gato and death!!! It was soooo sooo cool, the colors and the lightning IN GENERAL ALLL OF THE FIGHT SCENES WHERE SO AWESOME!!!

And man the little scene of gato remembering his mom giving him the boots, i was so nice guck i cant believe how attached im to these freacking characters

And like dude the colors where so vibrant and aaa this movie was just so beautiful!!! Im so happy and sad and im just a mess of emotions due to this movie it makes me so happy for the future of dreamworks animation, and mainstream animation in general, because and i cannot stress enough, animation is not a genera for kids, is an art form, just as versatile and beautiful as any other.

Anyways this movie was pretty epic probably my favorite from this decade with gillermo del toro's pinocchio and i for once, can't wait what the future will get us :]

danny phantom episode 4-7 Thoughts: (under a readmore because, these got kinda long!)

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

-dash has a closet full of cute lil bear plushies?? LOVE that. adorable. also his response to danny trashing his room fighting a ghost was SO valid if somone BROKE MY BED IN HALF ID BE PISSED TOO.

-technus being like 'oh smart, u should be a tutor!' then later being like 'forget tutor, be a teacher!' :) supportive king <3 I also really like his upgraded suit/design. AND SPOCK CAMEO??? HELLO??

-the music in this show is super. its so funky. I looked it up and the guy who does it, guy moon (awesome name) also did music for other cartoons like fairly odd parents, barnyard, chalkzone, billy & mandy, AND some actual movies like FIGHT CLUB??? the whiplash I got from reading that)

-sam being rich explains a lot about her, actually.

-I know the moral of the episode was supposed to be 'dont ditch your friends for popular people/spend a lot of money on clothes that arent You to Fit In'. but tbh. it wouldve been easy for danny to have been like 'well, okay, ill come but only if my friends can!' but I get. that hes 14. so. not a lot to say there.

-BOX GHOST IS BACK!!!!! also, danny sitting up and wearing the dress/wig/makeup. umm thats how I dress everyday LMFAO. unironically me. (hate the jokes that boil down to 'haha funney man in dress' tho. but this is a look)

-jazz being protective of her brother once again being like NOOO YOU GUYS BETTER NOT STAKE OUT HIS (actually haunted) LOCKER!! shes aware of how people perceive him and she wants to help :( which is also probably why she told dash to invite him to that party even tho she had no interest in going!! she wants to help him out :(

-gotta say im with tucker on the whole 'should danny use his powers to get back at bullies' debate. 100% yes. let him teach kids to fight back. making dash throw his food at paulina out of the blue? no. but when hes actually about to pick on someone? yeah! for self defense? YEAH! if dash and his friends just threw food at him, I think rather than. idk doing sneaky shit with frogs he couldve just threw it back and not pulled punches if they tried to fight. I kNOOWWW its a kids show so they are like 'if u fight back ur just as bad!! violence bad!!' but. theyre HIS POWERS. WHO CARES.

-like my only gripe is that dash really isnt LEARNING ANYTHING WHEN DANNY GETS BACK AT HIM IN THE MOST PETTY INDIRECT WAYS. whatever they had to add a bully psa episode I guess. I hate it and I hate the way cartoons usually handle it because these methods simply Do Not Work. 'aND YouRE USinG YOur poWErs FOR EVill???!' this is Not Evil. even when poindexter takes dannys body, theyre only being 'nice' bc hes stealing soda for them!! bitches deserve what they get (nothing too brutal bc theyre high schoolers but damn, if they pick on danny he doesnt need to be the 'bigger person' he needs to start biting people)

-sorta unrelated, but it just occurred to me in one of these eps they go to casper HIGH not casper middle school??? theyre 14?? dont highschools usually do ages 15-18? (I didnt go to hs so I might be wrong, if I am ignore this...) freshmen are usually 14-15, could just be a case of them not turning 15 yet but they will sometime in the school year (I say they because tucker said he was 14 too)? I know the show has 3 seasons, so by the end of it will they be older? thatd be neat but usually cartoon characters stay the same age...I love shows where you can see the characters age and grow up, though...three seasons seems like a long time to spend on like, 1 year...

Reading cemetery boys (finally)

Major spoilers. I highly recommend reading the book

The main character is a trans poc which i did not know. In fact, i went into this knowing nothing other than queer and fantasy. I think i forgot every single time i’ve been told he is trans. Oh he’s gay too. I thought he was going to be bi. His family doesn’t accept him. Except for Maritza. His...cousin? I like how stressful this is almost right off the bat. I want him to get the boy powers and be recognized as a boy by his goddess. But he might be rejected or be given the rosary powers instead (seen as a girl). His mom was supportive.
