NAME  :   Robert Edward Orville Speedwagon

NICKNAME  :  Boss, aniki, “bastard!”/"that son of a bitch!” (usually from rival gang members, so the insult varies sometimes lol), Rob (used by a few friends), derivatives of his last name −Speebs, Speeds, Speeb, Speedy, etc− but these he will only accept them from certain people, otherwise he will do his best not to cringe on the spot or will do it inwardly. Uncle Speedy and etc later on (as in once George and the rest of the children come into his life, more specifically~).

KNOWN LANGUAGES :   English is his first language. Conversational Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German and some more. Some conversational Mandarin Chinese as well (this one thanks to Li −canonly known as Kenpo, his Ogre Street friend−) and bits of Irish (this one thanks to Tattoo, his other Ogre Street friend). He can read and understand some Japanese (kana and some okurigana/kanji) but can’t really speak or write it. Same case for some other languages that he can also recognize and more or less understand bits of them but can’t really speak them. As you probably guessed, he’s learned most of these through his many journeys around the world.

SECRETS  :  All of the stuff in regards to the stone mask and all the events and incidents that came out from that (it was stated that the only ones who know everything about it from start to end are Jonathan and Speedwagon, the others who might know a great deal of it would be Straizo and Master Tonpety). He also tries to keep a low profile in regards to his homosexuality whenever he’s out of the slums to save himself some trouble due to the stigma at the time and the potential legal consequences, going only for the gay codes of the time (long hair, cleanly shaven face, colorful accessories, etc) so I guess that could count? Other than that, and in the verses that it applies, his stand mayhaps?? That’s what allows him to leap through timelines in the time travel verses (it possesses other abilities and skills but, since Robert doesn’t even know about his stand’s existence yet, he hasn’t trained with it and thus he doesn’t know about any of it’s abilities, not even about the time travel oof).

BUILD :     scrawny   /   bony   /   slender   /   fit   /   athletic   /   curvy   /   herculean   /  pudgy  /   average   .

HEIGHT  :   5’11”, close to the 6’ mark (181 cms)

SCARS   /   BIRTHMARKS  :    The most recognizable one is the scar marring the left side of his face (going from the top of his nose to his jaw), but he has plenty more scattered all over his body, some more visible than others, some larger than others. Most of them come from fights and his general criminal lifestyle, some of them even come from some of the torture sessions he’s endured as part of that (so it isn’t surprising that they were either caused by knives, gunshots, burns, shards of glass and etc). Most of his scars are located on his chest and arms, some more on his hands/wrists and fingers (hands/wrists and fingers mainly from when he was learning to use his buzzsaw hat), though he has a few more on his legs/thighs, lower abdomen, and a couple more on his back. In the main verse (usually set in the late stages of PB), he will have a few more from the events in PB −burn scars on his hands from the fire at the Joestar mansion, one on his shoulder from the attack he received from Jack the Ripper, an ice burn across his abdomen from thawing Zeppeli’s arm, and a couple more and not so visible ones on his arms from minor injuries (cuts) he got while fighting and fending off zombies−. Most of the “PB scars” aren’t too visible thanks to Jonathan (he used his hamon to heal Speedwagon’s injuries shortly after).

ABILITIES   /   POWERS  :  He’s able to tell an evil person from a good one by their smell alone. He’s a resilient man and quite a strong one, too (stronger than the average guy, as he was shown killing zombies using his brute force only and a sledgehammer). He's good at hand to hand combat, he’s also good at using knives and guns, and at wrecking shit with a sledgehammer. I also hc that he's capable of creating veeeeeery small amounts of hamon (this as a result of Zepp's "accidental" slip) if he really puts his mind into it. Due to his current limitations with it, his hamon can’t be used for fighting, but it does enhance his healing process, making it slightly faster than that of an average human (with some proper training, chances are he might be able to do more with it, tho). His stand, in the verses where he has it, can perform time travel, which happens at random at first (he gradually gains control on his stand once he learns about it and starts training with it). Due to stands being a reflection of sorts of their user and their fighting spirit, and as an extension of Robert’s own hamon healing abilities, his stand also possesses healing abilities that can be used both on himself and on others, though this requires some training prior, as the healing relies entirely on Speedwagon’s own life force and can be fatal for him if used carelessly at first (once properly trained, it won’t represent a real danger for him to use). Much like Robert himself, his stand is also capable of packing some punches and causing serious damage on it’s opponent despite his stand being more of a “support” stand rather than a fully combat based one.

RESTRICTIONS  :  He's mostly a regular human in the main verse, so he’s at a great disadvantage against stronger supernatural beings such as vampires and pillarmen, for example. As stated above, the amounts of hamon he can currently create are small and, thus are difficult −almost impossible− to use for combat (again, this can change if he gets some proper training). His lack of knowledge on his stand’s existence can also count as a restriction for the time being, as he doesn’t know about it or it’s abilities and, thus, can’t use it at his will for now (it operates mostly in an “unconscious” level at first, usually after getting triggered). He also tends to wear his heart in his sleeve when it comes to the few people he truly holds dear and considers special to him, so that can be used against him if he’s not careful enough.

—— Likes / Scents! ♡

FOOD  :    He isn’t really picky with food since he grew up in absolute poverty and sometimes went for days without a single bite of food or eating stale (sometimes even moldy) food so like… he’s cool with pretty much anything nowadays. He’s also an adventurous man, so he’s always open to trying new and even “exotic” stuff. Other than that, pastries are one of his top fave things ever (creamy ones mainly but not exclusively).

DRINK  :   Tea −citrusy/fresh types mainly like lemongrass, same with berry teas−. He doesn’t mind sweeter teas but, since he usually has them with the pastries, he prefers something more “sour” to balance things out. He also likes coffee, liking it strong, kind of sweet, and hot (just how he likes his men lol). As for alcoholic drinks, he’s all for beer and gin. He also enjoys some of the sweeter ‘posh’ wines Jonathan normally has at his home.

PIZZA TOPPING  :  As far as I know, pizza toppings weren’t as creative and “crazy” in the 19th century as they have been over the last few decades, so he’s only used to more ‘traditional’ stuff like variants of Pizza Margherita, for example. However, in the time travel verses/modern!AUs he will definitely try all kinds of pizza toppings (yes, this includes pineapple pizza as well as entirely sweet pizza toppings and so on) and actually likes some of them.

COLOUR  :    Purple (shades like those of his waistcoats i.e.), pink, greeeeeeenvert, black.

MUSIC GENRE  :    More than a genre itself, he enjoys and appreciates music that can make him feel something. Toss some pub songs there for obvious reasons lol.

BOOK GENRE  :     General fiction mostly. He also enjoys reading some romance novels every now and then whenever he gets the chance to get his hands on a gay romance one, either featuring two males or two females (he doesn’t find the appeal in “traditional” ones for a variety of reasons).

MOVIE GENRE  :    Non-applicable in the main verse. Time travel verses −if he even gets the chance to watch a movie− and even in a modern!AU, his go to genres would probs be similar to his book genres, lol, just add some comedy there but like, not the ‘cheapest’ and cringey kind of comedy.

SEASON  :     Autumn and Winter (harsh winters are a pain in the ass in Ogre Street, but he can handle them fairly well overall)

CURSE WORD :   Fuck / Shit / Bloody and variants of it (like Bloody Hell) / Arsehole / Wanker / Damnit / Bollocks, Ballocks and all of it’s variants / Bastard / Motherfucker / Zounderkite (victorian for “idiot” but with even harsher and ruder connotations than just using “idiot” lol) / Beardsplitter (one of the victorian words for “penis” xd). There are plenty, plenty, more but those are the ones I can think of rn. He comes from the darkest pits of the slums after all, so yeah... Lots of cussing can be expected.

SCENT ( S )  :    Sweet and masculine musky scent, mainly, with an occasional subtle note of gunpowder and/or tobacco depending on whatever tf he’s been doing. Maybe a vague note of blood if he just got out of a fight. Some vague vanilla too but that one only around the time when he lands a temporary job in a bakery in London.

BOTTOM OR TOP  :   Top leaning verse. He only bottoms occasionally for serious/long term boyfriends that he genuinely trusts, partly due to how being a bottom was (wrongly) perceived as being submissive by most people, and how dangerous being seen as such can be in a place like Ogre Street if the word gets out (not to mention that there’s been people there who have given him shit just for being gay), and partly because he also prefers to top and likes it better, lol.

SINGS IN THE SHOWER  :   Yeah. He started doing it as a child as a way to keep his mind distracted from how cold as fuck the water he’d wash himself with was (he usually bathed in rivers or washed himself with buckets of water some maid forgot outside of a household and that he managed to steal). He’s become a lot more used to cold baths over the years so a distraction is not necessary anymore, however, he still sings or hums sometimes whenever he has a song stuck in his head or if he’s particularly happy about something (this continues later on in life as well,even after cold baths are no longer part of his life, so it’s a habit that he never actually leaves).

LIKES PUNS  :    He loves them! Lame ones, good ones, cheesy ones, silly ones, witty ones, dirty/vulgar ones, etc. Heck, even dad jokes can be found in his repertoire! Chances are that, if you come to him with a pun or joke, he will give you one or two (maybe even more) in return.

Buddie Week Day 1 - Trick or Treat

Forgive me for my english. It isn’t perfect, but I tried my best XD.

This year is going to be different. Everything has changed. The lawsuit was just a stupid prank and luckily no one was angry anymore. I spent the previous Halloween handing out candies, but today I will not do it as a punishment, but with pleasure. Bobby forgave me.

The fire station was decorated better and better every year. Each subsequent holiday causes more decorations and it is rarely so colorful here. Halloween is no exception. The amount of artificial spider webs, ghosts cut out of paper and gutted pumpkins were overwhelming. Of course, we were all on duty, so we couldn't afford fancy clothes, but that didn't diminish our enthusiasm for celebrating this holiday. The kids kept coming to the fire station for a handful of candies. May and Harry came to say hello with Athena, who was also on duty that night. May decided to dress up as a doctor, and Harry was wearing a Batman suit. Bobby said hello to his family, and I stuffed a pile of sweets into their bags. But I was most happy when Carla came with Chris. Eddie and I both ran up to him to hug him with all our might. The boy immediately began to giggle with joy. This year he decided to be a firefighter like his dad. Henry and Karen also couldn't help but say hello. We were all complete now, but unfortunately it didn't last long. An alarm interrupted the party and we had to go for another call. Athena left in front of us because she got the same signal. Leaving the kids in the care of Carla and Karen, we left into a dark night.

The call turned out to be not as serious as I feared. On Halloween, people are capable of any weirdness. Fortunately not this time. We returned to the fire station two hours later, because there was more cleaning and when the cars finally stopped we were able to enjoy the company of our families again. Even though it was late, the kids probably had sugar in their heads, because they were more aroused than before. The bowls on the table prepared for the other guests were practically empty. Apart from them, the reflections and small gadgets that we always give away have also disappeared. I quickly started replenishing supplies while no one was around.

– There you are. I've been looking for you everywhere. – I heard a familiar low voice behind me and moments later, strong arms wrapped around me from behind.

– I wasn't going to hide anywhere. – I replied without stopping adding candies.

– Yeah, but you disappeared so quickly after you got out of the car. I was afraid that something had happened to you. – the hug became tighter and I was able to feel his hot breath against my neck.

– I'm fine. I saw that the bowls were empty so I came to refill them. Don't say you missed me in such a short time. – I turned to him and looked deep into his eyes. The fond smile never leaving my face.

– Maybe. For future notice don't suddenly run out as if something was on fire. –  I knew that Eddie was trying to be nonchalant and romantic at the same time, but I couldn't help but laugh after hearing such a pun.

– Seriously? What if it really was on fire? Then what?

– Then I'd run right behind you. It's rather obvious. – Eddie pulled me closer to him. His hands wandered along my spine, and his lips brushed my neck.

– Eddie ... Not here. We're in the open. Somebody’s gonna see us. – I tried to control the tremors I felt all over my body.

– Then let's go to a more secluded place. – Eddie pulled me towards the changing room.

It wasn't the safest place, because someone could come in at any moment, but if we can make it quick, it should be fine.

The glass door slammed shut behind us and we went into the showers. As soon as we were out of sight, Eddie's body pressed me against the nearest wall. His mouth found mine at once, his hands sliding down my uniform shirt, looking for the first buttons. We didn't need any words. We've known each other for so long, that finding the other's weak points was easy.

The harnesses of the belts have been loosened and the buttons were unfastened efficiently. I didn't like Eddie figuring me out faster. I didn't even get to get to him properly. His hand went to my pants and I groaned loudly, breaking our kiss. My mouth ached from him latching onto them, but I wouldn't trade that feeling for anything else.

– Eddie … – I managed to choke out as his fingers squeezed my groin.

– I wish I could undress you any more, but you understand, right? – His voice was hoarse, and his eyes were burning with desire.

– Yes. So ... make it fast. – I grabbed his hand and slipped it into my boxers.

Eddie looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive. I grinned broadly and slowly moved my hand so that his hand ran the full length of my penis.

Another groan and something snapped in Eddie. In a few movements, he slipped my pants with  boxer to my knees and did the same with his own. He grabbed both our penises in his hand. The heat that emanated from him made me go crazy, and I started to move involuntarily. The strong pressure and the slap on the buttock made me stop.

– I will do it. – I didn't get a chance to answer, because Eddie immediately sucked on my mouth.

I didn't know what to do with my own hands, so I embraced him by the neck. Moments later, he began to move his hand up and down, squeezing and relaxing it at the right moments. Our breaths became faster and shallow. I was hot and I couldn't stand it anymore. I wanted to feel him inside me, but I knew it was safer that way. What we were doing now could also cause us problems, but this is the only opportunity we could get right now. The shift ends in about 12 hours, and chances are, neither of us would have made it to the end.

Therefore, we both focused on the increasing pressure between our legs. I put my hand on Eddie's, and we came together a few minutes later. With a silent scream, I tilted my head back so hard that I hit the wall. But I couldn't feel anything except the fading excitement. Eddie's head was resting on my shoulder. We both tried to control our breathes.

Taking the towels from a nearby hanger, we dried ourselves and cleaned up.

Lazy but passionate kisses followed us until we left the locker room. As the siren wailed again, we ran straight to the car, pretending not to see our friends' meaningful looks.

Inspiration behind your blog title? Mean Girls. I always chuckle imagining Thomas and Jimmy as some Edwardian version of the Plastics.

The Silver Eyes Graphic Novel: Do I even need to explain this one? Rushed art with countless mistakes, horrid coloring, samey designs, the important scenes come off as bland and even goofy instead of impactful. It’s clear Pinky wasn’t used to drawing humans, the colorist had no idea what they were doing, and no one on the team made a graphic novel before. It’s laughable how bad this was XD

The Fourth Closet: Does anyone really know what happened at the end? I... really don’t like what they did with Charlie in this one. I don’t like how William was able to get out of his Springtrap- it was SUPPOSED to trap him, and yet he just... is out of it... I think the whole thing with Baby being like this hot clown girl instead of what she is in Sister Location is very... ... it exists... Tbh I respect the bold direction it took, but I honestly felt it was too much of a stretch and just didn’t work.

FNaF AR, Special Delivery: Not bad! The character models and voice acting is where the game shines most. Other than that, there isn’t really much substantial to the game other than some lore with Vanny/Ness and Luis. The gameplay can get frustrating sometimes(I cant collect remnant, read my mail, or even work on my own animatronics without DING DONG SOMEONES HERE every 5 seconds), and all you do is spin in a circle until you get glitchy, look away if they get glitchy, or zap them when they run at you. Some people probably love this game and good on them for that, but I find myself not touching it for weeks at a time.

Freddy In Space 2: GREAT game for charity, great art, great music! ... That’s all it has going for it, though. It was clear that this was a quickly made game designed to be beaten in one sitting, and it did exactly what it needed to do! Other than being amazing how it was for charity, the game doesn’t have that much going for it(except introducing Lolzhax aka BEST ROBO), so overall not bad but also did almost nothing outside of being for the Charity Livestream XD

Fazbear Frights, Into The Pit: Again, not bad! A nice collection of short stories, almost like goofy campfire horror you’d tell to kids... like goosebumps! I felt each story was REALLY lacking in some areas, but I liked the general idea they were going for. That being said, they’re moreso neat scary stories with the name FNaF attached than anything else(except maybe the first of the three). It hints that they have an overarching plot that will be covered in future books, but as of right now, I feel no one’s missing out by not reading them.

FNaF 3: A satisfying end to the original trilogy story! Purple Guy gets justice, everything gets tied together with a neat bow, and the first arc in the series comes to an end. Also Springtrap, aka my favorite. This game is riddled with neat 8-bit minigames and bits of lore, but the gameplay itself is where I find it not as good as the S A and B tiers. The new setup with the system reboots are def really interesting, but other than that, each night is just... the same thing but harder. Most other games introduce different characters on different difficulties per night, but since Springtrap is the only deadly one, it’s just... him more aggressive each night and systems failing more often. Makes the gameplay pretty repetitive and frustrating after Night 3 or so.

FNaF 4: The beginning of what I like to call the Afton saga(4, SL, FFPS, UCN)! This is when the lore began to get REALLY good... and also really confusing. Props for it taking such a bold direction by taking place in a child’s bedroom instead of in an office with cameras, its a neat change of pace! That being said, the gameplay can get frustrating and there’s a high learning curve for needing to listen to each sound the anmatronics make. Also lore wise... there really isn’t much! Just mainly focuses on what happened to this poor kid. Also the box still being a loose end... yeah.

The Twisted Ones: I enjoyed this one! It had a very interesting direction that kinda kept me guessing on what was going on, and this is when Scott really started nailing in the foreshadowing for the reveal in TFC. The Twisted animatronics are SO cool, and the introduction of those little alteration chips provided new context to games like 4 and SL! That being said, I don’t remember it being... that memorable? I also didn’t like how Charlie’s and John’s relationship was... so awkward... It was neat, but honestly nothing to really go crazy over, in my opinion.

The Silver Eyes: Honestly, I adored this book when I read it back in 2016, before Sister Location happened. At the time I wasn’t trying to connect it to any lore, so it was really great just to see a sort of retelling of the FNaF story. A lot of people complained about how long it was... I might agree if I reread it but tbh it never bothered me before. It was delightfully creepy, yet had a simple plot and wasn’t NEARLY as out there as TTO and TFC. Especially TFC. I felt this book didnt need 2 sequels and would’ve been just fine on its own, but whatcha gonna do. Carlton is forever my fav, and it’s the first time we really learn about Henry AND it was the first time we got a name for our Purple Guy: William Afton!

Sister Location: I like this one for just how bold of a game it was. I’m also including SL’s Custom Night wrapped into this package. Jam packed with lore, our first (main) game with VOICE ACTING, and honestly the humor has no right being as good as it is. I love how this not only expanded on the crying child from 4′s story, but also gives us so much Elizabeth and Michael content. The gameplay has a lot of unbalanced features and feels a little too over the place at times, but I appreciate where it was going with it!

FNaF World: ... This one is pure personal bias. A lot of people don’t like it. I adore it. Honestly I love the cute overworld, I love beating up enemies as my favorite animatronics, I love the horror, nihilism, and lore shoved into this game alongside SO MUCH humor. Update 2 was nothing short of an absolute delight and... wait, no!!! FNaF World had our first voice acting!!! So many endings and nods to other games Scott’s made, a cool scene with Desk Man/Henry and Baby, just... muah. Good content. Also Scott 57 <3

Ultimate Custom Night: Name a better way to end the Afton Saga, I’ll wait. It’s so obvious how much time, thought, and care went into this one. I love how the game rewards you with funny cutscenes the higher scores you get, and I just! So much voice acting! I love how each preset- no, each character has their own moves so every time you do a certain mode, you need to learn to manage them all and get a good strategy. I like how it’s way more strategy and skill than the RNG that many previous games had. Also, Scott!!! You managed to put this into the LORE by making it William’s hell, MUAH, couldnt have done it better!!!

FNaF 2: This one might have bias for being the peak of the fandom, but it was one of the greatest times to be in that fandom. Freaking out over the trailers, theories galore, prequel vs sequel, and just... so good. 1 didn’t have much plot, 2 DID. 2 had more mechanics and strategy to it than 1, and gave us over twice as many characters! We finally got a “face” to our killer, Mr. Purple Man, and how could I ever complain about more Phone Guy~? This one also introduced the 8-bit minigames, which became a HUGE staple for the series! Perfect expansion of the first!

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator: The PERFECT blend of old and new gameplay. The salvage scenes are intense, the nights had a great balancing mechanic of juggling doing tasks while also avoiding animatronics, multiple endings, and a neat tycoon segment to give the player a breather... but with LORE!!! Midnight Motorist is easily one of the best tracks in the series. Also has a GREAT canonical ending, when(with paired with UCN), ties the plots of 1-6 SO nicely with a neat bow.

FNaF 1: Okay. From a personal and gameplay standpoint, I was going to put this much lower. Like B or C. That being said... this has to go in S. Yes, it has the least lore and arguably the worst gameplay(too much RNG for 4/20 mode), but this was the game. I can’t even exaggerate when I say just how much FNaF changed not only the gaming community, but especially the horror and indie communities. So many names got big from this: Markiplier, Dawko, Game Theory, The Living Tombstone, DA Games, SCOTT HIMSELF, just to name a few!!! And to think, this was originally going to be Scott’s last game! FNaF changed gaming HISTORY, and I think that alone makes this title deserving of S.

FNaF VR, Help Wanted: Okay, personal bias time, but I truly think VR deserves this S. Seeing Glitchtrap for the first time incited a panic in me that I hadn’t felt since FNaF 1 and 2. You get FNaF 1-4 in one, all in VR, WONDERFUL character models that you can WATCH MOVE!!! SO many minigames and fun challenges to play, so many neat knickknacks to collect, the Halloween update is FANTASTIC. The introduction of some great characters, such as: Glitchtrap, Vanny, Tape Girl, Dreadbear, Grim Foxy, etc!!! There’s also just- something so nice about being able to see every office and the pizzeria in 3D spaces where you can look around! Just from a gameplay and environment standpoint, this was an AMAZING addition and deserves the S.

Verdant Flame (working title)

Okay, I’m running with the suggested title.

This post is going to be just putting thoughts out there about how I’m going to do this project, possible ideas of how to publish, and what major changes I’m going to roll with.

I’m going to put it all under the cut so I’m not wreaking havoc on your dash. X3

Before the cut: For those somehow not in the know (like, how could any of my followers on Tumblr or Twitter not have caught wind of the bonfire of gnashing teeth much of the Magic LGBT+ community is dealing with right now, I don’t know, but just in case, and especially if this post is seen later): WAR Forsaken dropped and with it Gruulfriends went from canon to retcon in a way I didn’t expect: Biphobia and erasure among other issues. I’ll talk about the mess itself later, but for now, lets adress what we are doing as a community and what I”m doing in particular.

The basics is that we are kinda rebelling against Wizards in what small way we can; but being creative, interesting and having fun with the canon. Take the means of production, canon is ours now!

But for me in specific, I’ve been playing with using Chandra and Nissa as well as the world of Magic to create frame works for stories I wanted to tell, but until now I boiled down everything to its basics because I just wanted to use frame works and use tropes as jumping off points. But now? Fuck that, I’m thinking about pulling an E.L. James, but good.

What does that mean? Well, E.L. James literally wrote a fanfic, changed some names, and published it. So screw it, going to do the same over here. I’m going to take a step or two further back then she did, since 1) Wizards/Hasbro might not be as nice as Stephenie Meyer and 2) I feel like I can be a better writer then E.L. James.

So, how will this project play out? This is where I make a cut and we get down to business:

First: How to publish?

I think if I’m going to make this a thing, I’m going to have to go with self publishing and do these in short stories. I’m not sure how short, but I feel like once I get the ball rolling, I want to just keep going. If I’m taking years to put out one book and you guys are waiting that long for it, I’m going to loose steam and you are going to loose interest. This is definitely a ‘strike while the irons hot’ situation.

And the iron is near melting right now.

Second: What is going to be the basics and how will it differ from MtG Lore ‘Canon’?

First and most obvious is that I need to figure out what I can keep and what needs to be changed.

As I said above, while I am definitely in the mood of ‘you know what, this is ours now, fuck off’, the fact is, the law is the law. If your work is too similar to another, you can get in some heavy trouble.

I’ve covered some of this in my other posts about this, but I’m pulling this into one spot with the new info to make it easier for me and others to find.

World: I’m going to use analogs of each of the planes of MtG to make countries and kingdoms. It’s a lovely short hand and will make the world building go that much faster... Tricky part (much as the characters) is renaming things and setting it enough apart that it isn’t exactly the worlds and what not from MtG.

The main ones I’m going to use are:

Zendikar: Still going to be the land my ‘Not-Nissa’ hails from. First step is to just fully expunge the eldrazi history and effect. I am thinking about having some sort of ancient thing buried there, but in a very adventure-y feel of like an old dragon or some other powerful creature.

Kaladesh: Still home to ‘Not-Chandra’, still a place of one-ness with nature and artifice. Debating on how much I should carry over the sense of Indian aesthetic. Like, I don’t want to be window dressing like the actual Kaladesh is, but at the same time I’m not sure how well I can make it feel ‘right’ in that regard. I think I’ll keep the plot idea they started, but carry it through right.

Theros: Not-Gideon and Not-Elspeth will definately have history here. There won’t be actual gods, though a great power they attribute -to- gods will exsist. Which brings me to wonder how I should handle the cosmology... especially when we are talking about

Innistrad: I envision a very gothic, germanic country side, probably bordering Not-Theros. There will be a cult that worships a great power hidden on the moon. I’m going to use this as an opportunity to do a thing that came to mind when Emrakul locked herself away...

Vryn: I’m not sure if or how I’ll use this since we know so little about it. Might just cut it and have my ‘Not-Jace’ come from somewhere else. Hell, might just cut to the chase and make him connected with my Not-Ravnica. And speaking of...

Ravnica: Obviously a major trade hub and likely a center piece of the setting. Not-Jace, Not-Vraska, Not-Kaya, and Not-Ral all would be seen here. I think i’d also take all of the Fiora stuff and fold it into this so that I don’t have too much going on in the world and can pull together a lot of neat characters from that set too. Not-Marchessa might be fun as a side... well not ‘villain’, but definitely not helpful to our heroes... usually. X3

Ixalan: Pretty easy; coastline adventure. Just use any ideas from the block for pirate based shenanigans. Not sure if I will write enough to get to this sort of craziness, but it would be a lot of fun if I do.

Amonkhet: Not sure if, when, or how I am going to use this. Though a desert region might be fun. Might combine this with Regatha and that plan that Teyo comes from.

Kamigawa: I mean, really, this is ‘japan: the setting’. They went so hard on the Japanese lore here that it’s not going to be hard to make my own with little effort or consideration. Do expect there to be a Not-Tamiyo. X3

Alara: To be honest, I was never too big on this plane, but then it was a big deal years ago and I never really ‘set foot’ there. I mean if I did use it, I could use it to sorta map the bigger world’s zones? But that feels too much like the silly ‘elemental nations’ angle. Worked well for Avatar, but won’t work here.

Eldraine: I’m thinking about using this as a rough overlay of the main areas and goverment and what not tied to and surrounding my not-ravnica. Not sure. I haven’t finished the book yet, and it’s hard to get a solid bead on the details of the world without the old uploads, the clear posting of lore that used to happen (remember how we all knew what was going on with the color pie/race spread of Kaladesh?) and just having mostly the cards to go one leaves me wanting a bit. Not to mention they aren’t making the art books anymore. FUCK. I liked those. They needed to be improved not canceled T3T ... anyhoo...

Dominaria: Given what Dominaria now is to magic lore, I think I’ll set it as the history past. This world IS my Not-Dominaria.

I’ll figure out other planes as I go along, though I might just stick with what I got here. Adding in more is going to muck up the world I’m crafting. I may be taking parts that aready exist and remixing it (which, if we are honest with ourselves, is really how we tell stories in the first place, I’m just leaving my ‘mix’ lumpy XD), but I do need to concetrate more on the characters. I can’t introduce a new land every book. I need familiar ground, routes that readers can follow, places characters can be from that matter.

Speaking of characters:

Characters: Again, the idea here is that you should be able to recognize them to some extent, but I sitll have to work with the ‘legally distinct’ Not-Gatewatch... So here is what I got so far:

Chandra: What we keep: Fire based magics, brashness, cute. What we change: Not much. Most of her changes are going to be involved with the way I change the world around her. I think the big difference is instead of having her ‘planeswalk’, when her family gets hunted, they end up traveling toward the border, and she ends up running, getting lost, and finding herself on the steps of a (monastery). Also... no one would hate me for going ahead and making her trans, would they? Like, by the story proper’s start, she’ll have a woman’s body (or maybe that could be a part of her quest?), but I do like the idea. X3 It adds more of a personal touch to my Chandra.

Nissa: Debating on if I should keep her an elf. Keeping her an elf AND keeping the nature magic might be too alike. If not Elf, what should I make her? Still, the basics of her story are that she is looked down on, shunted to the side. stuff that leads her into being more comfortable on her own. Chandra is going to help her out of her shell, but only due to her honesty and clarity.

Gideon: No inviciblity. But definately going to keep him being the classic hero type, but with a genuine heart of gold. Going to change up his armorments from the sural to a short sword, buckler, and a lance/javalin? something like that. Hails from Not-Theros, has taken residence in Not-Ravnica

Jace: Trans man. Doing that right from the start. I know it was some folks head canon for a long time, and I see nothing wrong with making it canon here. Going to have to play with his past a bit. I think I’m not going to bother with the memory erasure. Instead, he trained as a spy with some mental powers and illusions. After betraying his original handler (someone that was a part of a different country), he defects to the not-ravnica and gets wrapped up with that stuff, eventually going out to help other nations in an effort to unite the continent or something... I’m kinda forming stuff as I write this. XD

Liliana: Still a necromancer. Going to cut out the deals with the devils. Maybe one, but not four. Might still have marks, but it will be more from her own magics rather then a contract. Still served a terrible master, but maybe with less strings attatched (or at least she thinks so). A friend in a discord suggested I have her have a binding on her bother as a lich vampire hunter. I’m warming to the idea, but still need to work out the details. I like the idea of her regaining her youth, that might even be the first story where Not-Chandra and Not-Nissa interact.

Vraska: Will end up in a relationship with Not-Jace... but I’m not too keen on keeping her a gorgon. I like the look of her ‘hair’, but I might just go with straight up dreads. Someone suggested making her some form of Naga, and though I’m not big on taking away her legs, the idea of some snakish relation is not out.

Ral: Inventor. Jackass. Friend of Not-Jace, has a Gay lover? yep, keeping all that. I think most of his changes, like Chandra, will be more about how the world around him shifts do to how I write rather then actual character changes.

Kaya: Keeping the Assassin, and can fight Ghosts. Still fleshing this one out. Likely to have ties with whatever I do with the Orzhov still. I adored the whole being hired by Teysa and ending up in charge thing, though I’m not sure I’ll go quiet that far? Mmm

Jaya: Still a mentor to Chandra. Less mystery around her though. It’s going to be less ‘she was the founder of our group’ and more ‘an adventurer that chose to settle down in her old age’ or something. And yes, the cookie scene I drew a comic for a while back will be in the story X3

Karn: Golems are a thing in fantasy, I don’t see a reason to stop now. But the Urza history is going to be retired. I think he might be an invention of someone in the current world and ends up as a helper to Not-Chandra and Not-Nissa at some point. 

Jhoira: I’m thinking grand daughter to Not-Jaya. I like her and I want to keep her, but I like the adventure her. Might have a rivalry between her and Not-Chandra. like a friendly one. She might even have a bit of a chip on her shoulder as she doesn’t have fire magic, but Not-Chandra does.

Rat and Teyo: Might might not. The cast is getting big already, we’ll see. Might have them as a duo from the start with a sort of ‘adventures in the sewers’ thing going on.

Ugin: Not a dragon, but definately a powerful being. and still has that stick up his ass. Often wrong about what he thinks should be done, but his heart is genuinely in the right place. Going to make Not-Mizzet his son maybe?

Nicol Bolas: Bastard, got a plan, and it will be similarly a slow build, but he is going to be less ‘has his hands in everything’ and more a ‘mmm, I could use this’ sort.

Alesha: Fuck timelines! This woman is a friend of Not-Chandra and helped her discover herself. Whether she rides with her people near... wait... OH GOD I LOVE IT: Something I literally thought up while writing. She and her nomadic bandit team travel the roads between many lands, and they find young not-Chandra. After coming out as being a girl, Not-Alesha is what helps solidify her sense of Identity. After showing off her fire magics and how uncontroled they are, adding in how young she still is, they drop her off with the (monastery) XD I’m loving this change already.

Oviya: Still Chandra’s Auntie. Big change? Her lover is still alive, because fuck that noise.

Olivia: Plans. Hungry. 

Avacyn: Doesn’t exists at the start of the story, but thinking about having her be created during it.

Sorin: Not sure....

Still thinking about a lot of other characters. I’ll get to them as I go.

There is also the Guilds of Ravnica to consider... With those, I think I’m going to keep the identity but not quite the orginizations. At least not so directly. Like not all of them are absolute ‘guilds’. There is less straight up organization. But there are definately a strong sense of jobs and a loyalty to those you work with...

Story:

And then there is the story itself. I think I’m going to start it with Not-Chandra meeting Not-Gideon much like before, but the goals are that he is traveling on a mission to see what is going on in Not-Zendikar. The seers/mages/whatever have been sensing some shit going down in that area and it’s close enough to the boarders of not-ravnica to check out. He and Not-Jace pass through and Not-Chandra gets curious and follows. She is going to meet Not-Nissa on the way. The four become a team and face down a nasty threat to the land and uncover a old history of Not-Zendikar that might need to be followed up on.

That can be book one.

Book two can be Not-Liliana’s introduction. The four, having worked so well together, are made a team by Not-Ugin and charged with trouble shooting all around the realm and seeing about maybe making more allies for Not-Ravnica. They find an old woman and they help her regain her youth... and in her they find an old villain. But the world has changed since last Not-Liliana walked the lands outside her keep. And it turns out that Not-Olivia, a vampire queen, has been making a name for herself. There are other darknesses afoot in her territory. For now, she would offer the team aid... as long as it suits her.

I think that can be book two

A return home would be the third story. Yes, this is kinda following how the stories were flowing at first, but after this one things are going to shift. The return home will bring Not-Chandra in direct confrontation with her past. The big changes I made to that and to Not-Kaladesh become big here. I’m thinking this is also where Not-Jhoira hangs out. The war behind the scenes is brewing, but it’s only starting. The all out mess won’t be till a later book.

What will happen in the story though is the confrontation with Not-Baral, Not-Chandra almost nuking herself in grief, and Not-Nissa being the anchor she needed. This will be the point of confession.

And so on... I’m not sure how far I’m going to go with this, but I want to try to push as many stories, but with as high quality as I can. Can I do it? I have no freaking clue.

I’ll post more as I go. For now, the working title is Verdant Flame. If I change it, I’ll continue to use the title to tag all the stuff I do till I go back and add the new title to old posts.

Now to transfer these notes... and figure out names. you don’t know how tiring it was getting adding ‘Not’ to everything.

And for those really keeping score: Why yes, some of this -was- what Dragon Quixotic was. There is enough difference between the two worlds that I feel confident that I can keep them as separate stories now.

Kamen Rider Gaim Episodes 21-47

I LOVE FRUITS.

⚠ ⚠ Warning! Very long post ahead, be prepared. ⚠ ⚠

Yes, I got a bit too excited about this damn show and I couldn't contain myself from watching the rest of it on the weekend so here we are, a post for the rest of the show in its entirety.

I feel like this, kinda like the first one I did for Gaim, will be a post where it'll look like I hate the show because I'll talk a lot about the points I disliked and I won't spend as much time talking about what I did enjoy so let me just reinforce, I LOVED THIS SHOW A LOT (so much that I couldn't wait for another week to watch the ending) it's just that ironically it's easier to talk about the bad points rather than the good ones. XD

Since there's a whole lot to talk about I'll do this differently and instead of talking about the story as a whole, I'll comment on each character and their journey instead because I feel like this the best way to do it.

Starting with our protagonist, Kouta... was kinda difficult for me. Like, I get that he went through a lot and he definitely had an arc of growth that was compelling to watch, but I think his indecisiveness at times was kinda boring to see. And my problem isn't so much that he's not assertive of what decisions he has to take is the fact that we see him in periods of doubt, then the show makes it seem like he finally has made a decision, just to a few episodes later make him be doubtful of his convictions again. And while I understand that it's a normal thing to change your thoughts about something, I feel like it happens SO MUCH in the show that it feels forced for convenience of the narrative at times. They can't make him decide on a path earlier because the path of other characters wasn't laid down yet so he had to be in this constant roller coaster which got a little tiring after the fourth time he argued about what would be the best course of action to deal with Yggdrasil, the Overlord invasion, Kaito and Mitchy, and all of that.

Though I'll give credit for the show where it's due and it is very in character for Kouta to be like this so as much as it bugged me I know that if he was a real person IRL Kouta would do the exact same things and take the exact same decisions he made so that's great. Though I have a little problem with his selflessness, in the end they make a huge point about how Kouta was always like that, he always put the needs of the others before his own, but we never really see a backstory for him, the closest we get to his past is that one episode where we get to know that he rescues a dog while he was kid, so all we have to back up that claim is the show and, at least to me, it never felt like he was putting himself aside for the others. Of course, that may be because he's so selfless that even when it looks like he's doing things for his own satisfaction he is helping the others because that's where his satisfaction comes from, but I can't deny that it felt like we missed an episode just to illustrate that a little better.

Now, if there's one thing I really didn't buy was Kouta basically becoming a God by the end. First, he looks awful, I know his "armor" is basically the Zenith form but goooooosh he looks awful, everything there looks 4 sizes bigger than Kouta's actors actual size and geez that wig... how could they find a wig for Mai that looked pretty natural (aside from the color) but gave him that awful instant noodle wig???? And not just the looks, I knew that Kouta would be the one to be chosen in the end, not just because of his relationship with Mai but also because the entity that should be impartial in this whole matter only actively helped him during this journey so aside of a brief moment where I thought Kaito had the chance of being the one, I pretty much knew since the beginning that the one to hold the golden apple at the end would be him, which took all the tension this specific plot had to me.

Speaking of Gaim, he got two new forms, and they were pretty dope. The first one is the Triumph Arms and it sits with OOO's Tajador and Wizards' Infinity as my favorite rider forms from the ones I could experience so far. He looks like he's fully geared up and he's gonna get into that field and beat the entire enemy army on its own, I absolutely love everything about it, the fact this form has two flags on his back announcing that he's coming and those flags are also used in combat to me it's just incredible, and the DJ Gun???? Omg, that's so creative and so fun, I absolutely love it, also the bgm song that plays when this form is used is super hype and I desperately need to download it and listen to it on repeat for a whole month. The way it came up to be in the show was a little meh, the first time he uses it is to destroy Yggdrasil's scalar weapon thing so it wasn't that big of a moment, but it was still great. The other form he gets isn't as cool, at least to me, but I love that his final form is an actual shogun, again whoever was the person who came with this concept was a genius. I have an aesthetic problem with the fruits basket on his chest plate, but I pretty much like everything else about it. This form is everything Fourze's Cosmic States wanted to be but less convoluted and way better looking. And again another great song for this form, I know it's not exclusive for him but it doesn't make it any less awesome, honestly, Gaim's soundtrack is just incredible.

Moving on to Kaito, seeing his descent into the final villain of the show and perishing because of it was quite fun, and I also like that despite him going to the evil path he didn't become a monster. I mean, he did become a monster by the end after he turned into an Overlord himself, but even in his villainous path he still cared for the people who were at his side, you could see that he cared for Zack (to a certain extent), and he really cared for Yoko, so it was good to see that he didn't just become a senseless evil force, he had a vision for what he wanted and he was determined to achieve his goal. If I have to say a bad thing about him, and in this case, it's very similar to one of the complains I had about Kouta, that is the fact that we didn't get a lot of his past, I said in my first post that I didn't really get him and I still feel this way, all I know from his past is that he hates Yggdrasil for taking over the city and destroying the life that he had, but we don't know anything else and it gets hard to understand why is he so obsessed with power like that, I think that if instead of having the episode that served as tie-in for the movie we had used that to dive into his path and on his character more it would've been better, especially to make his death more impactful (but maybe that's not really necessary and the impression I have from this moment not being as good is because of the faces his actor was doing at that moment).

Talking about Baron, I got a little disappointed because his power-up form as a Rider was using the Lemon Energy lock seed and you know considering he would end up becoming the final villain I wish he didn't use the same lock seed that other two riders already used, especially when for one of them Lemon is it's only form, I don't know if it was a logistic problem but like they could've given him another fruit to use, or even make a Banana Energy lock seed and make it feel like if it was a direct evolution of his suit. But I think they redeemed themselves with his Overlord design because it looks amazing, very threatening and incredibly powerful. I think I'll never forget his final fight with Ryoma, it was awesome.

Mitchy was fun, I hated him every second of it but it was really fun seeing him becoming a crazy, obsessive, delusional asshole. He was everything I wanted for a villain, but I didn't like how he ended. Like, he almost killed Kouta and his brother, and the other characters in the show kept wanting to save him, and then in the end the show gave him a redemption by making him a hero and I was "oh please no". Call me a heartless prick but I do think he should've ended broke in the same mind state he was after Mai "died", I'm not against the idea of bringing Takatora back from the dead, but he really shouldn't be there acting as a hero in the final fight for the last episode. If they wanted to redeem him they should make him play the role Gridon had in that fight but without transforming and then Kouta comes back, he forgives Mitchy, but Mitchy doesn't forgive himself and he still has to live with the consequences of his acts weighing on his heart and he'll have to work to become a better person with the help of his brother instead of magically becoming a hero and everything is all joy and dances.

Next in line is Mai, and the problem I have with her is the same problem I have with the archetype she is in this story. She's the girl who has a deep connection with the main rider that has almost no personality that in the end plays up a crucial role in the main story, it was like that with Koyomi in Wizard, with Yuki in Fourze (on a smaller scale), Hina and OOO, and I'm really tired of this, especially because none of these characters are actual characters, none of them get any level of development through-out their shows, they have a quirk unique to them (Hina's supernatural strength, Yuki enthusiasm for space, Koyomi is a doll, Mai likes dancing) and is that quirk that defines them and their actions and it's really boring. Making characters like them be so important for the final plot kinda weakens everything because these are characters that I don't care for, but then suddenly they have the power of god inside them and I must get apprehensive about who she'll turn into a god as well even though when it's obvious who they'll choose to beneficiate in the end. I really don't like this element.

Zack was a nice surprise, I do think they waited too long to give his character some development because despite he appearing quite a lot he also was in the back seat many of those times so it was a bit of wasted potential. But he had his times to shine and when it came to it he really shined brightly, I think one thing that helped him a lot was all his interactions with Kaito while he tries to understand what's going on with his friend that he cares so deeply. I should be angry at him since Yoko died because of him, but I can't deny that his plan at the end to act as a double agent was pretty cool. I'm glad they gave him a movie special because I feel like he really deserves more exposure, I started not caring for him but I ended liking him quite a lot.

Another set of characters that also changed in my concept was Oren and Hide. My problems with them still exist, but after seeing their bond in episode 25 and seeing them becoming allies I grew to like them more, especially during the final arc. I still wish they weren't used for comedy as much as they are, but I came to be okay with them. Also, Hide in that final episode showed a lot of character seeing that he hasn't let go from Hase yet showing that he's more than just a coward guy that lives in the shadows of the others so, it's kinda impossible to hate on them after the end of the show.

Going to the new generation Riders, Takatora it's the one that had the most interesting development. I think what I like the most from this portion was seeing that he's very genuine in his desire to help humanity, he was open to listening to Kouta when he got to know about the Overlords, he didn't want this fight to happen, he just wanted to keep people safe. I also liked seeing he's fall and his uprising, everything happened in a very short time span, but it was very interesting to see his world falling apart in front of his eyes, but even then he didn't lose his convictions and this culminates in that great episode where he fights against Mitchy. I'm a sucker for siblings fighting each other in situations like that and they really delivered here, like bringing back his original melon suit to go against Mitchy who was using his energy lock seed was awesome, I did wish he had won that but I guess if he had won we wouldn't have Mitchy going deeper and deeper in his darkness so... but I'm glad they brought him back, just wish they had used him more in the final episode. But well, we got him as a "ghost" inside Mitchy's head for a good portion of the show so I guess it was a good trade-off. I'm really excited to watch his movie.

Yoko makes me sad. Not because she's bad but because the show didn't allow her to be used to her full potential. Like, she's a strong independent woman, but the show doesn't let her shine on her own, she for some reason, has to be always following a man, and even though she's still amazing and all the decisions she makes are very befitting with her character, I still wish she had done more. I thought at that moment where Ryoma left her behind while the Overlord invasion was happening she would finally bloom, but no, she just started following Kaito around. And don't get me wrong, her period with Kaito was very good, it ended up with her getting killed but it was still good, I just wish they had used her more, especially considering her actress also did a good portion of her in-suit scenes. I think wasted potential is the best way to describe her, sadly. Still love her to death tho.

Sid and Ryoma I don't have a lot to talk about. Sid was interesting just until the time he stopped being a dude that watches the situation from the outside, in the moment he started to get obsessed with power he lost all he had going on for him. At least he died and his death was quite decent so. And Ryoma, well he's Ryoma, he never had that much of a character to begin with so I don't have a lot to say. He's the typical mad scientist that's willing to use any ways possible for the sake of his research. It's not much, but it works for him.

The final characters to talk about are the Overlords. I like them, their designs are very cool, I like the concept of them being the last reminiscent of their civilization, and I also like that they gave them a new language. I have a problem with the fact that after a certain point they start to use Overlords as MOTW, but it doesn't offend me a whole lot. I like how they enter this story both as a threat and as a sliver of hope and despite becoming the main villainous actors they don't last till the end. I think what we got was way more interesting than if the Overlords had taken the final boos spot.

This pretty much sums up all of my thoughts in regards to the characters, but I still have a few nitpicks to talk about in a general perspective.

First, the show had two episodes that broke the action that were very weirdly placed, the first is that one with cyborg guy and the second is the tie-in with the movie, and these episodes shouldn't exist, I'm sorry. I know the tie-in episode is kinda important because it's a villain of the movie that comes attack in the final episode, but I only know that because I went to look it up because from the tie-in episode there's no way for the audience that only had contact with the show to know who's that rider attacking is. My second nitpick is that the show ended without a message, I know a message it's not something necessary to make a show good or not, but I don't know I feel like it would've been nice to have something it was trying to pass.

In any case, this is already way longer than it should be so I'll wrap up right here. Gaim is an awesome show, despite my problems with it I really love it and I definitely recommend everyone to watch it. I'm in love with this series and I don't wanna let it go. I hope the next one will be just as good. “Okay, ladies. Where to first?”

“Can we save the manicures and pedicures for last?”

You stood there unknowingly fidgeting with Jungkook’s credit card still in your hands. It was still crazy to think that you were really holding someone else’s bank account in your hands so easily. Trying to genuinely listen and even take part in the conversation, you spoke up and said casually,

“Actually that would make sense. This way while we’re searching for and trying on clothing, we won’t mess the polish up.”

You noticed Black Widow looked so relieved that she could probably pass out. When noticing your stare, the female smiled sheepishly in apology and explained just as much,

“Sorry. It’s just......I have social anxiety. So this is kind of hard for me.”

“Actually we both have the same diagnosis. Big crowds are hard for us. But we’ve been looking forward to this day and getting to meet you and getting to know you. So here we are.”

You were extremely touched by their words. Here you were moping and feeling sorry for yourself when these two sweet girls were out here facing something as strong and intimidating as anxiety and it was all for you? Were you worth that much? Personally you didn’t think so but you were touched and thankful all the same. Putting on a small smile of gratitude, you spoke up timidly,

“Well I appreciate you girls coming out today. I just hope I don’t end up being a party pooper.”

“Nonsense. Widow and I are happy to be here. Besides, we need some new clothes and I’m looking for a pair of nice sandals since the weather is finally getting nice. The blossoms are so beautiful!”

And so the three of you started your journey. First stop was one of the department stores that sold some pretty cute clothing. Especially since everyone was coming out with their Summer line since Spring was already here. Of course the first section you hit up was the clearance rack. Mostly it was stuff from Winter season but you didn’t care. One man’s trash was another man’s treasure.

“What about this one, Widow?”

You glanced up to see Mama Bird holding up a dress from the dwindling Spring Collection while Black Widow was holding up her phone so she could take a picture and send it to her boyfriend. Speaking of......

“Ouch! It bit me! Do you see that?! It bit me!”

“Oh will you calm down. He’s just barely old enough to be away from his mother’s milk. Like he could cause that much damage. You’re not even bleeding.”

Taehyung pouted as he held the squirming.....surprise.....in his arms. Him and Jimin were currently at the checkout line with items needed for this particular surprise. Just one piece of something much grander that would be waiting for you once the sun went down. If only you knew what was in store for you. The boys were more than excited for this. It had been a long long time since the pack was on such an important mission. Speaking of........

“What if red isn’t her color? Besides, isn’t it true that red ones are more likely to be pulled over?”

“Good point......So maybe stick with the classic black? Black is sexy, right?”

Namjoon glanced over at the employee who had been following him and Jin around for at least a good two hours. The poor guy deserved a raise after all of this but the boys just wanted to make sure they made the absolutely best choice for you. Money wasn’t an issue, it was just making sure they picked out something you’d like and could get behind.

“It’d be easier to buy her a ring. Can’t we just buy her jewelry? That’ll make her just as happy, right?”

“Do you want Jungkook to cut off your balls?”

Namjoon quickly turned to the male employee and raised a hand while saying casually, “My apologies for the choice of words.”

“No worries, man. As long as I make a sale today.”

Speaking of.......

“Oh my god! It’s gorgeous! Look at her, Widow! And it’s on sale!”

It took at least two department stores for the girls to convince you to steer away from the clearance racks that had practically nothing on them. In all honesty, they were right. There was nothing but extremely picked over winter clothing and who was going to wear that at this time of year? Not you. That’s for sure.

So there you stood outside the dressing room in a cute outfit handpicked by Mama Bird herself. Your cheeks turned warm in a blush as Black Widow took a picture. Seems she was taking her boyfriend’s conditions very seriously. It was kind of cute, really. It was more than obvious that she valued Taehyung’s opinion.

“Tae says it looks great!”

“Good. We were gonna buy it even if he didn’t like it. We’re just making him think he’s in charge of our wardrobes.”

Mama Bird’s words made all three girls laugh. Even you. It was true, getting out and shopping was definitely distracting you. There were a couple times you actually forgot about all your troubles. It was then you heard a heavy sigh that actually wasn’t your own.

“Tae wants me to look at lingerie. Shall we go there next and get it out of the way?”

“Might as well. I actually need some too. Jiminnie tore up my last set. I made him sleep on the couch that night.”

“Ouch. So did you.....”

“I left him hard as a rock.”

Both you and Widow made an “oooohhhh” sound along with matching winces. Honestly, from what you had learned so far about the sweet Mama Bird, that kind of behavior surprised you. That was when she explained that she had told Jimin time and time again to stop destroying her lingerie sets but he would never seem to listen. You supposed tearing clothing off his girl must have been a kink of Jimin’s. Part of you wanted to ask if the male had yet to learn his lesson.

“Pick something out for yourself too, girly. Something that will make Kook drool all over you.”

Needless to say, you literally choked on your own inhale and your own saliva at the same time. Clearing your throat after feeling Widow gently pat your back, you looked over at Mama Bird like she had grown two heads.

“W-What?”

“Oh come on. Haven’t you seen the way Jungkook looks at you?”

“I---N-No?”

You were honestly left speechless. What did they mean by that? What kind of looks was your coworker giving you? Sure Jungkook was being extremely nice right now but that was just.....well.....normal right? You looked between the girls and couldn’t tell if they were teasing you or what but it made you a bit uneasy.

“Well we think he has the hots for you. And besides. He’s a handsome guy who’s single and you’re a beautiful woman who’s single. Nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun, right?”

“Oh my gosh----guys----he’s my coworker. I don’t----We aren’t-----”

“Aigoo you’re so cute! Widow isn’t she adorable!?”

After helping you cool down from your blush, the two girls left you alone for a few minutes so that they could look for some lingerie of their own. You were pretty sure you had heard Mama Bird mumbling something about her next set being made of barbwire so that Jimin couldn’t destroy it. But you were pretty sure that would be a lose-lose situation for both of them. More like an ouch-ouch situation.

Being left to your own devices, you couldn’t stop thinking about what the girls had said. Did.....Could......Was it really possible that Jungkook thought of you in ways other than just a coworker? Was that why he was so eager to have you move in with him? You didn’t know what to think or how to feel. It was probably just the girls trying to play matchmaker. Yeah. That’s what you’d chalk it up to. Staring down at your phone, you decided to send the male a quick text.

You: Having fun doing guy stuff?

It was almost like he was waiting for you to text him as his reply came faster than you were expecting.

Jungkook: Yep! Having fun doing girl stuff?

You: It’s helping.

What were you supposed to say? Then again, you supposed you asked for that. Staring down at your phone screen at your own pitiful reply, you could see where the male was already typing something in response.

Jungkook: It’s going to get better. I promise. Soon.

“So who you texting? I’m sure it’s not Jungkook.”

“Yah. Leave me alone, Mama Bird!”

The two girls softly giggled at you as you blushed about three different shades of red and playfully swatted at them. Good gravy what were you? A teenager? With a huff, you stuffed your phone back in your purse and focused on finding a set of lingerie. Just one set couldn’t hurt.....right? Speaking of......

“How many should we get? One or two?”

Yoongi stood there looking bored out of his mind while watching Hoseok going over the display of decorative pillows with a fine tooth comb. To be honest, the shorter male didn’t see the point in them. They weren’t useful. Just for decoration. But his pack brother insisted you needed some nice touches to your new home.

“I say one.”

“I’m getting two, just to be safe.”

The platinum blonde saw that response coming from a mile away. Hoseok was so predictable in that way. Rolling his eyes when the younger wasn’t looking, the two pillows then got stuffed in the second cart. Yes. Hoseok had gotten just a little too carried away and the next thing they knew, one cart turned into two shopping carts. Speaking of........

“Ugh. Why don’t shopping malls have shopping carts available??? My hands are killing me. These bags are so heavy.”

“Girl. This ain’t a grocery store. We’ve not even started shoe shopping yet. You’ve got a long way to go.”

“Can’t we at least put these in the cars, first?”

“Good idea. Actually that’s a brilliant idea. I’m starting to see why Taehyung calls you Miss Korea. You’ve got the beauty and the brains.”

And that was when the three of you walked out to the parking lot to hunt down both Mama Bird’s and Black Widow’s cars. You felt a tinge of jealousy once more upon remembering that you in fact had no car. Again.....who would want to steal your car? Was it a target on your back or were you just the lucky winner of a random robbery? It continued to puzzle you as you carefully put your stuff in Black Widow’s trunk.

“On to shoe shopping! Ladieeesss....Forward, march!”

You were starting to genuinely feel better as each girl hooked one of their arms around yours so that you were sandwiched between them. Was this what it was like to have friends? Real friends? A small, real smile found it’s way onto your face as you thought about it. Maybe Jungkook was right. Maybe things would get better sooner than you thought. Speaking of........

The youngest male of the Bangtan pack paced around nervously as he listened to everything happening in his apartment. It smelled like paint fumes to high heaven but he could care less. They had gotten a lot done in such a short amount of time but there was much more to be done. He couldn’t thank his pack brothers enough. Hell, even some of the Lucky Seven pack members were here. And that was when he felt hands on his shoulders gently turning him around.

Yugyeom. He was the same age as Jungkook and therefore the two got along extremely well. Smiling in warm amusement, the male spoke in a teasing tone,

“Relax, Jungkookie. You’re going to wear out your floors before she even gets to enjoy them.”

“Oh my god! He peed on me! This is Gucci you just peed on!”

The two boys stared down the hallway and knew exactly what had happened. They both snickered and laughed before things grew slightly tense once more. Jungkook looked back over to his friend and saw that look on his face.

“What?”

“Are you going to ask her out or what?”

“Ah----I can’t do that right now. She just lost everything precious to her. She’s got to be overwhelmed right now. And besides, she might not even want to think about dating someone right now.”

“Good point. Well when you decide to make a move, let me know ahead of time. I know a really great restaurant you could take her to. She’d love it.”

“I don’t know. She’s not really into fancy things, from what I’ve gathered in just this morning. You should have seen the look on her face when I handed her my credit card. I’ve been monitoring the purchases and she’s got to be shopping nothing but clearance.”

“You’re lucky, then. My girl wants nothing but the newest and greatest. She’s lucky we make such good money together.”

Jungkook stared down at his phone. Anyone who was on the outside looking in could tell the poor boy was like a lovesick puppy wasting away in front of his phone waiting for his girl to either text him or give him a call.

“Jungkook. Come in and see what you think. We need opinions.”

Speaking of......

“Okay so I need opinions? What do you girls think? And no we’re not asking for Tae’s. What he don’t know won’t hurt him.”

You stared at the two girls as you showed them the pair of heels you were sporting. As much fun as you were having shopping for fun, you also needed to shop for work. Since all of your clothing including work clothes were now gone, you had nothing to wear for work Monday. Shoes included.

“I think they’re gorgeous. But are they comfortable? Heels kill my feet. Just saying.”

“Widow’s got a point. And! Walking up and down the shoe aisle is not the same as walking in them for seven hours. Gotta remember that too.”

You pouted as you realized they were both right and had excellent points. Man. Starting over was rough. All the heels you owned before had all been broken in and were pretty comfy. But now you had absolutely no shoes broken in and that was a beep to go through.

“Just go for some nice dressy sandals till you can break in some heels while walking around the apartment.”

“That’s a good idea, actually.”

“I got your back, girlfriend.”

“So after this, we’ve done dress shopping, lingerie shopping, shoe shopping......what else?”

You picked off the items with your fingertips while staring between the two girls. As you stood there in pause and mid counting, you could see Mama Bird giving Black Widow a particular look that caused the later to whine. At first you couldn’t understand what the problem was. But then it hit you. They were supposed to get manicures and pedicures sometime today.

“I can take a really long time finding some dressy sandals?”

“Yes. Please do. Take all the time in the world.”

Speaking of........

“Come on, hurry up. We don’t got all the time in the world here.”

Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t Jungkook who was being pushy. It was Taehyung. Some would say he was just grumpy that the ‘surprise’ had peeded on his Gucci brand sandals. Or maybe it was just Jimin saying that. Maybe. Possibly.

Furniture had been bought but now it needed to be put together. While Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jaebum worked on putting things like dressers and such together, Jungkook, Hoseok, and Yugyeom were working on making your bed look presentable. Jin and Jimin were working on the walls while Taehyung got to be babysitter and potty trainer of the ‘surprise’.

“Why can’t I help Jin hyung?”

“Because you suck with a paint brush. That’s why.”

Speaking of........

The three girls stood outside the nail salon. The only nail salon that didn’t have a waiting list a mile long. You glanced over to notice Black Widow tugging at her fingers nervously and gently reached out with a hand of your own to gently cover the fidgeting digits.

“Hey. It’s okay. We don’t have to do this.”

“But I don’t want to disappoint Taehyung.”

“You wouldn’t be doing this for Taehyung. You’d be doing this for yourself.”

Your words seemed to resonate with the black haired female for she glanced over at you with slightly wide eyes. Offering her a warm smile, you glanced over at their other gal pal and nodded before saying,

“We’ll support you no matter what. If you want to go in, we’ll be right there with you. And if you don’t want to go, we’ll find something else to do that’s just as fun.”

There was a long pause before......

“Will you tell them what I want?”

“As long as you pick out your colors.”

“Deal.”

Speaking of........

“Okay. I’ll take him if you help them with the mirror.”

“Deal. Here. He’s all yours.”

Jungkook playfully rolled his eyes as the second youngest of the Bangtan pack handed over the now very loud surprise. The male was pretty sure the poor thing needed fed again. Heading to the kitchen, he popped open the fridge door and dug out the jug of milk. Filling the eye dropper, he spook soothingly to the poor thing,

“There there. I’ll take care of you, little guy.”

As the youngest carefully fed milk through the eye dropper, he couldn’t help but turn into a nervous chatterbox once more; the little surprise probably being the only willing listener at this point.

“I hope your mama is happy to see you when she comes home. She’s been through a lot these last 24 hours. She lost everything, you know? Her home, her things, her car. Everything. But we’re going to make mama smile again, okay? You’ll help me, right little guy?”

‘You’ll make an amazing father to your pups, little one. The Moon Goddess would be pleased.’

Watching the little surprise practically inhale the milk from the dropper and listening to his inner wolf, Jungkook couldn’t help but feel a wide eye smile forming on his face. Perhaps he wouldn’t make such a bad dad?

Speaking of.......

“I’m telling you, Taehyung is going to want a soccer team. So you better prepare your pussy.”

“Oh my god did you just say that out loud???”

“I believe she did.”

Okay so maybe you were a little tipsy. The plan was to get you loosened up so you could forget about the major loss you had experienced several hours ago. But one drink turned into two and then three and yeah. The three of you were at a pretty decent restaurant that didn’t require reservations. Widow’s pick. As you ate dinner, the topic of the boys came up and how they’d all make great dads someday.

“I bet Miss Korea over here wouldn’t mind being Jungkookie’s baby mama.”

You nearly spat your cocktail back into the glass when you heard those words leave Mama Bird’s mouth. Blushing from more than just being tipsy, you took the cloth napkin and wiped your face a bit. Pouting cutely, you shook your head and said defiantly,

“No way. He probably has cooties or something. Besides, isn’t it true that he’s slept with every girl in the company building?”

The two girls paused like statues. Mama Bird was in the middle of taking a bite and Black Widow was about to take a sip of her own cocktail. Setting utensils and cups down, they looked at each other in extreme confusion before both looking at you for some kind of explanation.

“We’re sorry, what?”

“Well yeah......That’s the story, right? He just sleeps around, right? I mean I’m not judging but-----”

“Girl. I don’t know who you heard that from. But that’s not Jungkook. That’s Jackson. Jackson Wang.”

Jackson.........

AN HOUR LATER.....

“Thanks for everything, girls. I had a lot of fun today.”

“Not a problem. Widow and I were happy to spend time with you and get to know you.”

The three of you stood outside what apparently was Jungkook’s apartment door. You don’t remember it because you had passed out drunk the night before. Thankfully the girls knew his apartment number and how to get in with the tenant code. All of the shopping bags had been left out in the car with Black Widow claiming the guys could help pack it all up. What you didn’t understand was......what made Widow think all the guys were at Jungkook’s place?

With a couple knocks provided by Mama Bird, she announced they were back with all three credit cards in one piece before the door barely cracked open and out popped........Namjoon?

“Oh! Yes. Come on in. Join the party.”

Party?? What???

With a gentle nudge from the girls behind you and Namjoon opening the door all the way, you stumbled a bit not only from the alcohol in your system, but from confusion and being caught off guard.

“Surprise!”

The chorus confused you even more as streamers flew everywhere and noises were made. Blinking and looking around in confusion, you could now see where Jungkook’s entire living room had been decorated as if to......

Welcome someone home......

Tears immediately sprang up around your eyes as you took in the ‘WELCOME HOME’ banner and some of the boys wearing those cheesy party hats. You even noticed some envelopes and small gift bags were all huddled up together on the coffee table. All of this was.....for you?

“Guys......I........I don’t know what to say.”

“Oh it’s not over yet. We’ve got------”

But Hoseok was interrupted by a sound that was high in pitch and had your heart and stomach both doing flip flops. Looking all around, you watched something extremely small waddling and even stumbling out of the hallway. You first let your mouth hang open but then quickly covered both your mouth and nose with both hands as you watched......

“His name is Swiper. Because he tries to swipe the other cat’s treats and he’s orange like Swiper the Fox. You know----From Dora the Explorer. We picked him up at the local cat cafe on the corner.”

“Not to mention he took several swipes at me. And peed on me. Little monster.”

By this point, the two girls had joined the party and Namjoon had closed and locked the door. Black Widow was playfully hitting her mate’s arm as he was being his usual dramatic self while Jimin and Mama Bird snickered at his pain.

You on the other hand, you had since then gently picked up the tiny kitten and was cradling him in your hands. He was so tiny. Perhaps he was the runt of his liter. You didn’t care. He was precious. And you couldn’t help but notice he was orange. More tears rolling down your face, you looked up and singled out the one person in the crowd who knew. You knew it had to have been him.

“Jungkookie.”

You hated how your voice cracked. In front of all these people. As you struggled to keep yourself together. The male who had been singled out quickly approached you and it was almost like he was trying to curtain you from the audience that had accumulated in the room.

“I hope you like him.”

“Pabo. I love him. You didn’t have to do this.”

“I know. And I know Swiper can’t replace Garfield. And he’s not going to. Now you have Garfield and Swiper.”

“Jungkook----”

“Shhh. I know. I know. It’s a lot. I didn’t want to overwhelm you but I just couldn’t help it. You lost everything and.....I just wanted to give it all back to you.”

You were now bawling as you carefully cradled the tiny orange kitten to your chest and Jungkook cradled you to his. He smiled sheepishly at everyone but they just gave smiles and nods of understanding. He knew this was probably way over the top and not what you were ready for but he just.....couldn’t help it. Gently pulling you away from his chest, he looked down at you and gently wiped your tears away with his sleeve before saying softly,

“There’s only two more surprises left.”

“Good gravy. Only two?”

“I know. But I think you’ll like them both.”

“It’s pretty hard to top this surprise, Kookie.”

He chuckled; glad that you truly loved Swiper. Admittedly, he wasn’t one for cats but that was just in his canine nature. However, if this little kitten made you this happy, then he could be happy with felines too. Hell, cats loved Jimin. So maybe this kitten will love Jungkook too.

“Come on, kid. Show her the room so we can head out of here. It’s past my bedtime.”

“Yeah, Yoongi hyung needs his beauty sleep.”

Rolling his eyes, the youngest smiled down at you before gently guiding you down the hall with Swiper still safely in your hands and napping peacefully against your chest; just like a human baby. Standing in front of a door you don’t remember seeing, you felt and watched Jungkook reach around you to open the door and you just about hit the floor in shock.

It was beautiful.

A room fit for a modern princess. Soft cream and pale pink colors all blending together perfectly. Canopy bed with shimmering transparent fabrics hanging everywhere. A beautiful vanity set with a huge mirror mounted to the wall. A desk made of beautiful wood painted white and a white leather executive chair to match. An elegant closet and dresser were both made of the same white wood. You had the perfect view of the city too with the help of the one outside glass wall that the apartment building possesses.

“I-----I-----”

“Go ahead. Walk in. This is yours now.”

With a gentle push from Jungkook, you managed to get your feet working as you carefully walked into the room. It was absolutely beautiful. Sure the paint fumes lingered a bit but that didn’t bother you in the least. You were speechless at best. How could you even begin to say anything that came close to a proper thank you? This really truly was overwhelming but.....Yeah. Your mind and heart were on overload.

“I think we broke her, Kook.”

“She can’t do that yet. We’ve got one last surprise for her.”

You perked up when you heard Jaebum of all people speak up about one last surprise. Honestly, you were kind of glad it was the last one because you weren’t sure your heart could take much more. Not that you were ungrateful. In fact, you were more than grateful and you couldn’t believe your heart hadn’t exploded with gratitude yet.

“Come on. We gotta go outside for this one. Oh. And you’ll need this. But don’t look inside yet.”

You were handed a small gift bag and ended up handing it to Jungkook because you weren’t about to let go of the precious baby kitten in your arms. No way. Everyone actually found it quite cute and amusing but you just pouted down at the little one as he looked up at you with his small head but huge round eyes; mewling softly up at you. You were definitely in love.

Once outside, you were gently forced to trade with Jungkook as you handed him Swiper and he handed you the gift bag. Reluctantly taking your eyes off the orange kitten, you stared down at the gift bag and noticed how everyone was waiting tensely. You couldn’t help but notice even the girls were tense with anticipation......they knew about all of this too???

“What......are these???”

“Don’t ask such a silly question. Hit the unlock button.”

With a mixture of a pout and glare both, you huffed at Yoongi’s response but did as you were told and hit the unlock button on the key fob. Some of the guys softly chuckled collectively when you jumped a bit as the vehicle next to you lit up. Confused, you tested the key set again and hit the unlock button only to see the vehicle’s lights yet again flash; indicating that it was unlocked. Walking around it in a full circle, you exclaimed louder than you meant to,

“You got me a Hyundai Palisade?!!?”

I feel like rambling about Animal Crossing (so let’s do that!)

So my town is a humble little place called Appalon, which I love that name so, so much because I came up with it myself, AND it sounds like an actual town name!

Oh, and if anyone would like to see my town my dream address is:

I remember when I was younger my very first Animal Crossing town (in Animal Crossing: Wild World), was called Hawaii. I was a creative 11 year old.

But Appalon is perfect! Not only does it sound like a town name, but it also alludes to my favorite town fruit, which are apples. So I’m simultaneously creative and obvious at the same time – beautiful. I like the circle grass and tree trunks, and apple fruit best.

I’ve been getting ideas from perusing Dream Towns and also stalking tumblr for pathway patterns. I finally found one (technically 4), I absolutely love! They’re stones, but they come in four colors, which I intend to switch out with the change of seasons so the pathway always matches the trees and grass!

 Right now my villagers are…

Margie: A super-cute white china-looking (china like the glassy material, not the country), elephant

Julian: The only unicorn in the entire game. I love him he’s so nice and he’s blue. He’s also really weeby in my game XD

Lopez: He’s a gazelle and he’s cute. He’s a big fat nerd

Matilda: A black kangaroo who I h a t e. Everyone’s got that one villager they hate, y’know? Not that I hate her super personally. She hasn’t been very nice to me, and her house is parked right where I want to put paths and a bridge and things and she must leave.

Zucker: He’s an octopus!! There are only 3 in all of animal crossing!! HE LOOKS LIKE A DANGO OR A GLAZED DONUTHOLE OR SOMETHING AND I LOVE HIM! And he’s a foodie (which is my favorite personality, though I try to not think of villagers as their present personalities, just because it makes the game more fun if you don’t).

Del: He’s a black and red crocodile and meh. He a’ight. The only reason I’m not itching for him to leave is because I’m itching for Matilda to leave first.

Katt: She’s a tabby cat and she’s pretty meh too. She’s my first uchi villager though, and I love the personality type so far! We’re okay friends, I don’t talk to her much.

Wolf Link (W. Link): IT’S FRICKEN WOLF LINK!!! When I saw the option “you should move here” after scanning my wolf Link amiibo I was like, “that’s cruel, they’re just gonna say some extra dialogue like ‘I’ve got too much world saving to do’” but NO. DEAR GOD THEY WERE SERIOUS AND NOW I HAVE WOLF LINK IN MY TOWN. He’s beautiful and his house looks like a Zelda dungeon. If I didn’t already have my heart set on an old dreamy he’d be it.

Lucky: He’s a mummy dog and he’s my best friend! I love him so much. In my town I tend to refer to things as though I were in a matriarchal country (with me as the beloved and also eternal ruler >:P). When I was trying to send a bear named Bluebear into the V O I D of time travel, I used Lucky as my scout to alert me to people trying to move. Lucky is therefore my top scout and best villager, I love him. I have an entire background for him that I’m going to tell you about RITE NOW. Warning though, it gets dark for a cool minute for literally no reason other than putting dark things in animal crossing is hilarious.

So during Halloween you find out Lucky’s scare weakness is the mummy mast. He’s a dog wrapped in mummy bandages named Lucky, and his house default is an Egyptian tomb looking room. He has also told me how much he loves adventure. My headcanon is that Lucky was the dog of a brave adventurer, but together they ran into some bad luck (ironically), in some cursed Egyptian tombs. There they were both mummified and buried alive. Lucky escaped the sarcophagus, but could find no way to free his friend. He couldn’t bear the thought of leaving his owner to die alone so Lucky, still wrapped in the bandages, sat with his owner until he died from lack of oxygen. Once he was gone, Lucky knew his owner would want him to go on and live a happy life, so he dug his way out of the tomb, where he was confronted with Anubis: god of embalming and the dead (I believe). Anubis praised Lucky for refusing to abandon his friend, despite the doom they both faced, and rewarded him. Lucky was now eternal, free to explore the world on as many adventures as he wished, and his good friend would also gain in eternal soul in a different fashion: reincarnation. One day his owner would reincarnate, though without their memories, many times throughout his life. They could go on adventures forever through time.

And just who is Lucky’s reincarnated frien-

Me, it’s me. I had Lucky in my very first Animal Crossing town (and still do! I went to look at it just yesterday for nostalgia’s sake!), as well as my next town in City Folk, it’s destined that we’re gonna be best friends throughout all my reincarnations. He was there even before I had his backstory! It’s fate!

(And somehow, Lucky is still not my Ultimate Dreamy. *A* dreamy for sure, but not The One™) But look at him tho he’s adorbs.

Anyways, my ‘theme’ is just that I want it to be forest themed. But not like, dirt paths and stuff (not since I found those 4 amazing paths anyways). I’m very excited to start actually designing my paths and town and stuff. I just got Yuka to move out (she’s cute and nice and all, but she was parked in the middle of where I want to put stuff), and soon I’ll get Matilda to move too and then I’ll have a clear path to chopping down every single tree in my village and destroying every random public works project so I can map everything out like a crazy person. But first I’m gonna wait to make sure I keep my perfect town rating to get the golden watering can. And a few Jacob’s Ladders, cuz they’re just so cute to look at!

I also found some stone that’s perfect for plot resetting, so that way new villagers only move in the spaces I’ve allotted for them! It’s a moon (and yeah, my town isn’t really “moon-themed,” but my name is Moon, and my town flag is a really pretty cloudy moon I found, so it’s perfect! They’re like, ancient stones put down or something).

 Ooo, one thing I really want is a tree stump with a Triforce on it. I’ve been visiting the island every day lately and I haven’t seen tail nor whisker of the silver axe. I will one day! I MUST! I need a Triforce stump and so help me I will chop down every tree I have to get it!

 One thing I really hate about AC is all the exclusive items. Either I have to pay real money for an amiibo that happens to have an item I want, or I have to have had the game when they were being given out for free. It’s real sad, cuz I’m not rich (in real life or in-game, lol) and I didn’t get AC:NL until like, a year before the Welcome Amiibo Update. It makes me sad cuz I didn’t have the money at the time it came out, so I missed out on a lot of really cool items. Especially food items cuz, GOD, I can’t ever get enough food items. They’re hands down my favorite decorative item in AC.

Also, region-locked items. I hate that. Cuz a butt-ton of them are food. I want those so much but noooooo. I don’t live in Europe, or Japan, or wherever, so I can only get my region foods. I wish it was that you get items from your region first, but then the next year you get the ones from other regions. Just cuz I’m American doesn’t mean I won’t like Kagamimochi or a Twelve-Grape Plate!

Oh, guess what my town tune is? I made it up my self! It’s Farore’s Silent Realm from Skyward Sword! Of course, it sounds much less haunting coming from my villagers, but I still love that song. Skyward Sword much too hated in my opinion, I really loved it. Yeah, it has it’s problems, but what game doesn’t? The good things were enough to erase the bad things for me at least :3

 Oooh, let’s talk about my houses! I’ll post some pictures too, though it’s a picture of my screen so the quality is awful.

So for my mayor’s/my house, the first room looks like an enchanted forest at night. I managed to get my hands on the leaf bed from that Bug-Off guy’s RV in the campground, as well as the moss path flooring from Saharah! I use the Mush Lamps from the mushroom furniture series, since it’s got a blue color (and gives off blue light!) I changed the stained-glass lamp to the blue or fish one whatever it’s called, and a lotus lamp to a blue color. Then I turned off my main light so the room has a dark blue color everywhere. I have lots of flower and wood furniture to pull together the wood look (and the mush dresser or whatever, the one with blue mushrooms at the bottom!) I also put the moss garden rock and birdbath and Aquarius urn, and some mush chairs too. Oo, I also have plants everywhere, including some Jacob’s Ladders (which is great cuz their flowerpot is blue!) I’m trying to breed some blue roses so I can switch them out with the blue pansies I have. It’s very slow going. Oo! There’s also my pet cricket in there, to give off that nighttime feel. All I need to tie everything together is the music player from the weeding set. Right now the record player is the best I got. One day! The music in the room is Stale Cupcakes, to give it kind of a relaxing feel :)

My left room right now is a big work-in-progress. I’m thinking of doing like a pink, spring forest or a pink greenhouse kind of look. Right now it’s just got a lot of pink and stray hybrid flowers all over.

My upstairs room is kind of fall forest themed. It’s a mix of a lot of classic, alpine, and modern wood furniture. I got a leaf pile just sort of, stuck in the middle of it all, with an elegant mushroom and maple leaf umbrella for decoration! I changed a lot of the alpine furniture designs with the fall-leaf shirt, so it’d feel all autumn-y and whatnot. And I got Majora’s Mask and downloaded a Skull Kid outfit so it’d feel more like the Lost Woods (though Skll Kid’s clothes have disappeared from me replacing the pattern with a pathway payttern. He’ll be clothed again soon enough)! If only I could have Saria’s Song, too.

Right now the back and right rooms are just kinda there. I don’t really have any plans for them right now, except maybe having the right room just be a seasonal room, where I change furniture depending on the nearing holiday. (Spooky Day, Toy Day, Festival, etc). Maybe I might do a winter-type forest in the back, since I’ve got an enchanted forest, autumn room, and possibly a spring-greenhouse, lol.

 In my second player house, it’s based off of my character Cara who happens to be a siren. The main room is sort of a red/black Asian-looking theme, with custom exotic furniture and Gracie’s Elegant set! The main room isn’t Asian cuz my character’s Asian, though. It’s based off of my friend’s character, whom my character is very jealous of, and tries to discreetly mimic her in ways. My friend’s character is Asian, as well as being a kitsune. Anyways, the room looks bomb. I highly recommend red/black exotic custom furniture with the Elegant series. Perfect fit.

The back room is supposed to be her own personal bedroom. It’s gold-nugget custom Cabana furniture (with a couple of the gold series items, I haven’t seen them all yet), with a lot of green and blue fabrics. I used some watery floor, though I can’t remember if it’s from Saharah or Pascal or an Island Escape reward or what. But let me tell you, gold and cerulean blue go very nicely.

The upstairs room is a work-in-progress (mostly cuz it’s still small), and is supposed to just be a basic beach theme. I’m very excited for it to all go together!

The basement is going to be using the mermaid theme, though that’s not because my character’s a siren. (Sirens are originally bird women, and somewhere down the line we got them twisted in with mermaids and depicted them like that instead. My character is in fact the aquatic-version of a siren, but I’ve got lore for why that is. Point is she hates mermaids with a passion). But! The reason my siren who hates mermaids is using the mermaid theme in her house is for her love interest, who is a boy who is incredibly adorable and likes a lot of girly things. The mermaid set is right up his ally, which is why she has it deep in her basement where only she knows it is lol.

I don’t have left and right rooms set up (and I might not, who knows). I know I want one more room for Cara using the fish tourney set with an underwater theme. Can’t have an aquatic siren without an underwater cave!

 My third player house, and one that I super barely have planned, is my werewolf character Kit (who perpetually wears the werewolf mask because duh). The only thing I know I want is a sweets theme, not because it relates to his character, but because I just like the furniture in it. :D It’s suuuper not done though, so like, don’t judge me.

I was thinking of using sloppy furniture for Kit’s room, but I decided he’s not really that messy (and the sloppy series is so. So ugly. I mean, I get that that’s the point, but still). I think Kit’s room is going to be using the blue series someway, since I know in my writing I said his bedsheets were blue or something.

  Hmmm. I’m not sure what else to talk about here. So I think I’ll end off on who my Ultimate Favorite villager is. Who could it be? I have Zucker, the adorable dessert-designed octopus, Lucky, my trustworthy scout, Wolf Link, the protagonist to one of my favorite game series, and even Julian, the most magical unicorn in all the land. Who could it be? What special fantastic creature could possible beat all of these A+ villagers?

 Anchovy was my very first favorite villager in Wild World, I think he was one of the villagers I started with even. I was heartbroken when he moved one day. I swear he was in love with me (though he did move on the account that we didn’t have a 24-hour buffet according to his final letter). Actually, looking back on a lot of his letters, he’s either trying to be funny, or kind of a dick. I’m choosing to believe he’s trying to be funny XD

 Anyways, clearly the only reason he left is because he was so in love with me it scared him and he ran away. One day we’ll be reunited and rule my country with an iron fist.

Unfortunately I don’t have an amazing backstory for Anchovy, other than were totes meant for each other and that’s about it. But one day I’ll have him in my town again, and then I can discover new things to make an adventure about! I’m excited for that!

 Anyways, I think that’s all I really wanted to ramble about. I’m so excited to do things with my town, but as Zero Punctuation points out (funny game review series on youtube. Check it out! I love the animal crossing one), everything in animal crossing happens t o m o r r o w. I can get my perfect town status back tomorrow, I can befriend Sable and use my extra characters to put down paths tomorrow, I can banish Matilda to the void where she belongs tomorrow. Ach. So frustrating. But I will wait, I swear I will.

I really want to make my town all nice and pretty like so many people have theirs. It will be done!

This is so nice, thank you for asking ;u;I’m going a little crazy looking at so many Jabba the Hutt pictures for reference XDI went straight from Baze&Chirrut’s drawing which I was impressed with myself for really getting colors and textures right by playing with the opacity levels of the brushes, to this current work in progresss “texture of Jabba” thing inspired by this tweet.Since the one with Baze&Chirrut went really well, I thought this Jabba one would be much easier than it is proving to be. This one is haaaarrrd.Also, if it isn’t obvious yet, I’m a little obsessed with Rogue One at the moment, and really regret not having seen it in theaters. (My mental&physical health were at rock bottom during its theatrical run)

How am I feeling? Exhausted. I wake up more exhausted than the night before everyday, so I admit, it’s hard to stay focused. I’m trying to listen to bass-infused hip-hop on repeat to keep my drive going.

Is life kind to me? I guess??? I try to get excited with little things like a “like” or “reblog” or small acts of kindness, like you sending me this Ask, for example ;) So for however long I’m able to keep things in perspective like that, I think life is being kind to me right now, yes.

It is kind of unusual seeing him so nervous and worried when you two are having dinner. It’s kind of confusing seeing him a little bit sweaty and quiet. He’s never quiet, he’s always smiling and making jokes. But tonight it feels different, feels kind of... well.. serious. The thought of proposing-ring-marriage kind of crossed your mind, but you know even him wouldn’t go that fast. Yet you weren’t so far from guessing, he was waiting for the dessert... dessert that he had ordered specially for you. I came with a long letter, a letter that as you read realized was a confession. For the first time Oh Sehun was out of words, he was too nervous to even say hi, but as he took your hand and you muttered yes, the whole world changed. You almost forgot about that funny guy, but some arrow landed near your feet before you got inside your apartment. As you read the note it contained you realized it wasn’t some random guy, it was him... your boy.. dressing as your hero to ask the girl that drives him crazy out. Before you could say anything, Lay appeared behind you waiting for your answer, before he gave you a movie-like kiss. “Say... would you be my partner in crime, the girl that is saved by the hero, would you be my girlfriend?”

Suho:

Why were a lot of boxes in your living room? Probably Suho’s doing. Why was there a not for you to open them all at the moment? Probably he had a surprise for you. Yet... why the rush? You could do that later that night or something... To be fair, you wanted to know what was inside of all of them, so you did as you were told. You found many things, cute, beautiful, weird, delicious, of all shapes and colors, textures and sizes. Still you couldn’t quite understand why so many presents, it wasn’t your birthday yet. As you finished opening the last one, Suho came from the kitchen with one more box. You were kinda tired to open another one but he insisted and you couldn’t say no to that puppy face. To be honest you weren’t waiting for it, the box looked heavy but it wasn’t. For a moment you thought it was a bracelet or a key chain, but he had already given those to you. The curiosity was too strong so you opened it and found a letter inside of it. Maybe it’s a prank, you thought. You were used to the boys’ pranks, but this time it wasn’t, it was the real thing. “I wanted to distract you... didn’t want you to see it coming, didn’t want to be too obvious... but now it’s time for me to ask you the real thing.
