When they save you from a brothel (Zoro Edition)
Title: The perfect Girl
Fandom: One Piece
Pairing: Zoro x Reader
Other characters: The Owner
Category: romance, adventure
Warnings: there's a Kiss! Zoro is a bit Ooc because I couldn't found a way to make this happen 😅, as before there is kidnapping and violence in this chapter, there's no smut in here, walk away, horny people!! (No wait come back!!)
Author's note: just like with Luffy, this happens 6 years in the future, so Zoro would be 27 years old, why did I wrote this in the future? Bc I thought only that way Zoro would change enough to take the decisions he does (?) Nah, I just like characters to be older! Anyways, to the story we go!

You didn't started working there because you wanted.
When you were 15 your Mother/Father were sick and you wanted to help them.
You started cleaning the floors, washing dishes, serving the woman who needed help with make up or hairstyles.
The owner of the place tried to make you work for them as a prostitute, but you didn't wanted to.
So they started to pay less, at first just some berries. But those berries lost made you unable to pay for your parent medicine.
After a month without the medicine your parent started to feel worst and worst.
And like a balm, the brothel owner offered you a loan, just the right amount for the medicine.
And you thought the owner was a good person, that you would be able to pay back. :readmore:
But one day some one robbed you and the owner give you more money.
In another occasion someone stole your clothes as it was drying in the sun, the owner gave you money to buy yourself some clothes.
You couldn't pay the owner back and somehow the loan got bigger and bigger until it became an impossible amount.
Then the owner offered a deal: You could pay working for them as a prostitute or he could turn you to the police for stealing.
That time there was no room for you to say no.
Since then they gave you a room, nice clothes and even a maiden to help you with everything you needed.
Close to no clothes, very tight clothes or the worst: Lingerie and a silk robe.
And you do what you are forced to do.
There are clients that are gentle but there are those who get violent, who creep you out, who enjoy when you say no.
It's a nightmare so you try to escape. At first you sneak out but get caught.
Then you jump from the window of your room, but the guards save you from a sure death.
When they realize that you are trying to kill yourself they start to drug you.
And that's the worst because then you can't leave, you need the drug if you don't have your dosage you start to feel ill. You feel like dying but without dying.
And then you just… give up.
Zoro
Unlike Luffy, Zoro actually had the pleasure house as his objective.
However, it wasn't to exchange his money for sex. He was only interested in the Sake. The pleasure house you were trapped in was famous because of theirs.
The thing was, the place was full of people. Men with women at each of their sides. Women with skimpy clothes and big smiles.
The bar was packed too, but he was lucky as a men decided to stand up and leave with a woman.
He took the open spot and he would have ordered sake but the bartender was too busy.
"Oh god, here comes the golden bitch" a woman commented by his side and Zoro tried to not pay attention to her
"Ugh she's the favorite but she's so arrogant, who does she think she is? Boa Hancock?" The other woman complained and suddenly he got interested, he had met the ex-shichibukai but in his opinion she wasn't as beautiful as everyone said.
He followed the gaze of the two annoyed women and saw "the golden bitch" (aka you) walking towards the bar.
Zoro had seen his fair share of women, princesses, queens, warriors, samurais, minks, giants, mermaids, etc. but in all that time he had never seen a woman quite like you.
You were elegant dressed with a black dress that accentuated your figure, with a turtleneck and window in the shape of a heart. At first sight you seemed arrogant and intimidating, but after further inspection Zoro noticed how empty your expression was.
However it was easy to overlook your expression with all that gold jewelry in your wrists, neck, ears and hair. You were so eye-catching, he even felt there was a halo around you.
'Golden bitch' he almost laughed because of the accuracy of the nickname. He turned back to look if the stupid bartender was free but to no avail "the fuck do I have to do to get some Sake?" He thought to himself.
"Excuse me" you said, taking the seat by the side of Zoro before bending over the bar, almost giving everyone around an excellent view of your ass hadn't been for the dress.
When you sat back there were three bottles of sake in your hands and a sakazuki cup on your cleavage.
"I believe this is what you want to drink," you said calmly, putting two of the bottles and the cup in front of Zoro, suddenly turning into the most beautiful woman he had ever met. "I apologize for the wait the bartender is having a hard day"
"Sure" he said as you got down from the seat with your bottle of sake "thank you" he added as you turned to look at the two women who had spoken before.
"If you two have time to bad mouth me, serve the clients and stop being a couple of common bitches" you said and Zoro actually enjoyed seeing you metaphorically bite them.
After that he poured his sake on the cup and tasted the very first sip of the famous drink.
You on the other hand walked back to the side of the room, to the owner of the pleasure house, just on time to hear someone inform him that a very important pirate was there.
The owner asked who it was and the person informing showed him a wanted poster of the man you just had helped.
Which explained everything, after all you had heard his thoughts over those of everyone else.
Some time ago you had eaten a devil fruit in hopes of getting a power to escape from the pleasure house, but all you got was a power to hear people's thoughts, desires or intentions. The more powerful they got, the louder and clearer were the voices.
Moments ago all you had been able to hear was "sake, sake, sake" and the person giving you a headache with his desire for sake had been Roronoa Zoro.
"Come on, darling" the owner told you as they took you by your hand and dragged you back to the bar. "You got a special assignment" he added as he pushed a little bottle of poison on your cleavage.
'I'll get so much money if I kill him' the owner thought to himself and you felt dread filling your body.
You didn't want to do this, not again. If Roronoa Zoro discovered you were trying to poison him he would certainly kill you.
"Don't make that face, it makes you look ugly" the owner ordered you before caressing your cheek. They disgust you, with a sigh of defeat you composed your face."That's it, much better"
The owner walked to the swordsman and introduced you, adding that you will be serving him his drinks in a room since he was one of the most wanted pirates of the world and he didn't want some marine to appear and try to stop him from having fun.
Zoro accepted without a doubt, after all a place away from all those people sounded good.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Roronoa-san" you said when you got in the room.
Zoro only hummed. not wanting to give the impression that he was interested in you since you were a prostitute. He knew that give you attention would only make you try to get physical with him.
"Do you always do this?" He decided to ask as you poured the drink for him.
"Only for very special clients" you admitted without lying since this wasn't the first time you were forced to do poison someone.
"What kind of clients?" You could literally feel his distrust, it was like a needle piercing your chest.
"Ummm…" you thought for a moment, feeling that if you lied he'll know, and you weren't wrong, Zoro was studying your face. "famous clients" you smiled but he noticed the happiness didn't reach your eyes.
"How did you know I wanted sake?" He continued and you felt a cold sensation wash down your back.
"It was a hunch, I also like sake, I know how a sake lover looks like" you lied and mixed it with a truth, you liked sake, you could recognize someone who liked it.
"Get another cup then, you'll drink with me" he decided and you looked at him surprised. He hadn't took that decision as a safety measure to avoid getting poisoned, but out of a whim. That made you giggle, he seemed invincible.
"Roronoa-san is very generous" you commented and that time when you smiled a spark of life appeared in your eyes. Zoro liked that spark of vitality, he wanted to see more.
You left for a moment and when you got back you had brought the cup and more sake.
That time Zoro poured the drinks and you took a sip that made you sigh.
"Roronoa-san, you must have many stories, would you share them with me?" You spoke to him with respect and fake admiration but so naturally he almost believed it.
"I'm not good at telling stories" he answered and he immediately regretted it since you simply accepted and drank another sip of your drink with a slightly disappointed expression.
"I met my captain the day I was going to be executed…" he started his story and was instantly rewarded with an expression of surprise and happiness on your part.
'How cute' you heard him think at some point of the story when he described his friend Chopper and you got excited.
Usually men thought you looked hot, sexy, fuckable and those kinds of things. No one saw you as someone cute, it made you blush and Zoro enjoyed the unrestrained emotion his thought had provoked.
"It's your turn" he said when he ended his story and you looked at him with a confused expression.
"My turn?" You asked frowning.
"Your turn to tell me your story, it's how it works" he explained and for a moment you got trapped in a flashback, a succession of escapes ending bad, hits, lightened cigarettes being pressed on your back only for someone of the staff to "erase" your scars with the power of a devil fruit.
"I'm afraid that will kill the good mood" you commented but since he had told you a story, you decided to humor him. "This story is not mine…" you said as you started your narration.
You were creating the story as you told it but everything made sense, it was about a Swordsman, since Zoro was one.
Zoro enjoyed the story, as you were telling it, he noticed how relaxed you were, how your vacant expression came alive every now and then.
"You are good at telling stories" he praised you making you blush again.
"Thank you" you answered with a smile that made Zoro's ears turn red, how were you doing that? How were you managing to get all of his attention?
"Could you tell me another story, Roronoa-san"
"Sure, why not?" He said and noticed how you leaned forward on the table expectantly.
"Wait, Roronoa-san, I'll go for more sake" you interrupted him moments later as he told you about Enies Lobby, he nodded and you left in a hurry wanting to hear more.
"What is taking so long?" The Owner asked you when he saw you in the kitchen.
"He asked me to drink, I can't poison him" You explained and the man slapped you across the face.
"Stop being useless and find a way" he said angry and left you there.
When you got back to Zoro it was with a tray in your hands that had three bottles of Sake and a plate of snacks you ordered to poison.
"What happened?" He asked the moment you crossed the threshold.
"I'm sorry I took so long…" you started to apologize but Zoro wasn't listening, his gaze was on your cheek. In the small amount of time he had seen you, you had shown to be a level headed, smart and elegant woman who didn't bother anyone… So, who had slapped you and why?
Fuck, why was he so fucking angry about it? Has Sanji's character rubbed off on him?
"What happened?" He asked curious, pointing at your cheek and you touched it softly
"I made a mistake" you said without thinking, touching the burning skin where you had been hit. "It's ok, I deserved it"
'no, you don't' his thought warmed your heart, it made you wonder how could such a rough looking man be so sweet.
"I thought you were the favorite" He said frowning and you laughed without happiness.
"I'm just a caprice of the owner" you said, offering him a cup full of sake that he gladly took. "I'm their precious canary, but that doesn't mean he won't hit me" it took you a moment to realize what you had said, you had spoken your mind without thinking, showing him the real you.
"What an idiot" he said, still bothered every time he saw your red cheek.
Feeling his annoyance directed at the owner made you comfortable but wary, no one was that good.
"Why? Would you treat me better if I were yours?" You teased taking a seat on the table, by his side. "You know what's my work?"
'of course' Zoro answered in his mind but only looked at you with a serious expression. You leaned towards him and kissed the corner of his mouth.
"I'm a whore I kiss men, I make their fantasies reality, I let them use my bo…" it was his hard gaze that made you shut up.
Why were you saying that? Why were you discouraging the infatuation the swordsman had on you? Why did it bother you that he had made you drop your act of the perfect girl?
'how annoying…' His thoughts made you smile, a weird sensation prickled on your brain and it took you a long moment to comprehend what your devil fruit power was catching on him.
Yeah, coexisting near the love cook had finally rubbed off on him because he wanted to hold you, kiss you… get you to a safe place.
'protect' was what you were catching from the swordsman. He wanted to protect you and you were building walls to reject feeling like a damsel in distress.
"Roronoa-san…" you whispered before pushing away the sake for you to sit right in front of him with parted legs in an inviting way. Your hand took his and you guided it to your thighs. Maybe if he fucked you he'll forget about his attraction to you "It's fine if you want me" you guided his free hand to your chest but he suddenly reacted by getting away from you.
He couldn't do it, he was not made of stone, he felt things, he had urges but he didn't want to do that with you. No when you were doing it because it was your job. It would be like taking advantage of you.
"Roronoa…" you followed him with your eyes only, knowing he didn't want you to touch him, knowing what he was feeling because you were in synchrony with him.
"Shut up" he told you and you obeyed "Stop trying to get in my pants" his choice of words made you blush and laugh, laugh for real.
With a huff you hopped down from the table and he watched as you went to the very lavish bed in the room. The very same bed Zoro had been actively ignoring from the beginning.
"You aramazing...Your feelings are overpowering me" you finally said as you lay in the bed hugging a pillow.
"What?" Zoro asked, taken aback by your words.
"You have a crush on me but you respect me, you think I shouldn't be here, that I should leave" you said so softly that Zoro got closer to hear you.
"I don't…" Zoro was blushing big time.
"I ate a devil's fruit, I can read minds, so don't bother denying it" you cut his sentence.
A slight blush stayed in his cheeks.
"Fine, whatever" he almost went back to the table but noticed that you had in your hand the last bottle of sake "hey, what are you…?" He saw you drink from the bottle, his eyes followed the path of the sake that spilled from the corner of the bottle's mouth forming two very appealing rivers that traveled from your mouth to your chin and then down your throat.
He hated his sudden urge to lick the sake from your skin.
"There's been others like you," you said when you drank, taking him back to reality. You cleaned the corners of your mouth and continued. "You think you are heroes, but you just want to chain me, hide me where no one else but you, can see me" Zoro got closer and tried to take the Sake from you but you pulled your hand away to avoid his hand. "I mean, it's kinda an implanted fantasy, look at these" you showed your wrists with bracelets that covered almost half of your forearm. "This scream shackles, this says save me! Be my Prince charming" you mocked
"Pathetic" He suddenly said and you looked at him bewildered since you were able to feel his very clear desire for you but his words and attitude were the opposite. "You have embraced your cage" he leaned over you, you felt his intentions of taking the sake from you.
He was right, you were able to read minds but you felt like he was the one reading yours.
You were afraid, you didn't want to get your hopes up only to crash and discover he was a liar.
'Say the word' his mind was saying and your movement to get away from him staggered at that.
Word, what word? What was that supposed to mean? You tried to retreat but in a blink you were caged between two strong arms, the bed and the body of Zoro.
You took the last sip of the sake but before you drank it Zoro lifted you from the bed and put you over him, straddling his lap. The gravity did its job and the sake went from your mouth to his as you graced his tongue with yours slowly, so very slowly and sensually.
'Ask for Help' he thought and you pressed closer to him, wanting more if only for him to stop asking that of you.
"I'm not a damsel in distress...They sent me to kill you, Roronoa-san" you confessed not expecting anything from him. He clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"And how would you do that?" he asked amused, taking you by surprise. You tried to get away from him, but his hands kept you close to him.
"With poison" you answered with seriousness and he smirked.
"Poison" he repeated in a mocking way dismissing you "I'm no prince charming, you know? I'm a pirate" one of his hands gently pushed a strand of your hair away from your face.
You didn't have time to even be confused by his words because the idea in his head slipped inside yours: kidnap' Your eyes grew bigger and the smile in his face let you know that he was aware that you knew. You opened your mouth to tell him not to do it, but with an easy move he put you over his shoulder and started his escape.
The next minutes were filled with people trying to stop him and you giving him directions to get out of the brothel.
But Zoro is terrible with directions, so of course he turned in the wrong direction and of course he entered the wrong hall and somehow he ended up destroying the whole place.
When you finally got out, you looked in disbelief at the building in flames. How had that happened? You were not sure, but sake was flammable so…
"Roronoa-sama, you are amazing" you said as he walked away from the crime scene "wrong direction" you let him know and he stopped, turned in the other direction and started walking again.
"Your welcome" he said and you groaned in his shoulder.
"It would be easier to get you to your ship if you put me down," you said, resigned to your future.
"I'm fine, I don't need…curly brows?" When he said those last words you frowned.
"Marimo?" A man's voice answered, leaving you in the dark "that is no way to carry a lady!" He complained and Zoro growled.
'I forgot about the love cook' you heard Zoro think and you were puzzled wondering what could that mean.
The swordsman put you down and you looked at the blond man before you with an expression that made Sanji's eyes become hearts and you were able to hear his thoughts, all of his thoughts.
And Sanji's dirty and sweet thoughts at full speed scare the shit out of you, making you hide behind Zoro and fist your hands into his clothes.
"Oi! You scare her!" Zoro complained annoyed. There was a small discussion and finally Sanji guided you two to the ship where Zoro had a short conversation with the captain, who got closer to talk to you minutes later
"Y/n, do you want to be a pirate?" Asked Luffy in front of everyone and you looked at him seriously.
"No, I just want to stay by Roronoa's side"
Luffy laughed, satisfied with your answer.
"Then, welcome to the crew!"

"My baby is so cute!! Come're Gumi!!"
Through your squeals and gurgles of little Megumi, who was trying to crawl his way to you for the first time but ends up falling and rolling onto the play mat, you husband was left dumbfounded and sweaty upon coming home from his, "business." There he stood quietly by the door unsure whether to wait for your endearing welcome home kisses he'll never admit he's grown fond of, or just grumble his way to the couch, dragging his sulking self while maybe, you'd notice him.
He went for the second choice after 6 minutes of standing there like a lost child watching you nurture the mini version of himself. It wasn't that Toji was not an affectionate man, but yours was an exception to his tough, menacing exterior. It wasn't always he's had this kind of feeling ever since your baby boy was born. Now, he was a man full of pride. There was no way a mere child— his child would stir something inside him that made him tap his foot impatiently on the floor while flicking to numerous of the boring channels.
Was dinner even ready yet? He can no longer remember the last time you'd cook for him one of your delicious dish instead of fast food tale outs. He wouldn't want to upset you if he said he was getting tired of eating chicken wings all the time— he had to do additional workout when he realizes the small bump showing on his stomach.
Your coos of delight from the background brought back old memories from when you both were in a relationship. He recalls the times he'd growl lowly at the contact of your fingers even at just a hair strand of his surprisingly silky, black hair. How you'd also coo on and on about how he's just being stubborn and still shower him with endless attention and praises as if he was a child. He turns his head just a bit to where you and Megumi were playing. Not many toys were scattered other than an adorable plush dog that's been slobbered with saliva.
Seeing Megumi just laying comfortably on your chest while you rubbed his little back made him scoff before you'd even had the chance to see how quick he was to turn his sight away. He'd rather commit a massive destruction across any region instead of admitting (no matter how obvious it seemed by now) how he wishes he was the one in your arms. Like old times sake where you'd plead for him to lay down with you and soothe away all of his pent up anxieties, only to be thanked with deep snores, but a more relaxed Toji. God he wishes he should've stayed longer in those times. Times where the little runt wasn't around.
"Gumi! My wittle Gumi!" you sang repeatedly just to milk out the toothless smiles and breathy giggles on the tiny boy, "You're so tiny! Hopefully you'll be big and strong like daddy is when you grow up." seeking for your husbands acknowledgement with your playful compliments, "Oh, but you're so tiny! I want you to be tiny so I can just snuggle you, and kiss you, and love you so much forever!" in saying those, you did. Megumi squealing along the amount of love being showered all over his face before his stubby hands and arms flailed around— thrilled to have his mommy give him this much time rather than sitting in the crib for hours only to be held if he's hungry or needed changing.
Credits to Toji from squeezing you tightly when you'd attend to the baby's needs. He has his own needs as well.
From your field of flowers and sunshine and hearty aura, Toji sat in the gloomy space of the couch. Feeling more drained than usual. Who was he kidding, he was a dad now. Besides, he's never one to become pouty for the lack of sunlight in his hollow world. Even as he was welcomed (which wasn't even a homey kind of welcome) ever since his birth, he's never the one to receive kinds of icky snuggles or kisses from any family members. A clan that was raised exclusively to be vigorous and absolute; no distractions whatsoever and preposterous inclinations. Then again, he was no longer part of that living hell hole of life. Just maybe, he can allow himself to let lose, after all, it had been a week or 2 since you were beginning to withdraw from him.
"Megumi this, Megumi that." pausing from your mid laughter, startled by the deep chuckle from your husband, "You greet him all the time and now you forgot there's literally another man living in the roof as you, brat." groaning at his own words, he can feel his inner demons going ablaze as the skin from his face, only to rub it off with his palms as if he's rinsing them.
"Why can't it be just us for once? Like old times."
"Toji." you whispered lowly. He wasn't sure whether to yell and scold you for suddenly appearing without a warning, but seeing as Megumi was settled oddly quiet up on your chest, he assumes now's not the time to be loud and let the kid sleep. "Hey—" immediately after climbing your way up to his lap, his arms caged around your sides while waiting for you to nest comfortably. Keeping a sharp eye out on the sleeping baby like a hawk guarding it's own children. You knew he had a soft spot deep inside.
Leaning your head back on his pectoral, he doesn't spare you one look feeling the glint of mischief even when you adorably study how hardened his expression had become. "Are you jealous?"
"Don't push it." he warns.
"Does daddy also want some of mommy's affections?" snorting out without shame, the look on Toji's face will forever be engraved in your head. Almost as if he was done with you and wants the world to swallow him whole, head falling back with a loud groan drawing out from his deflating chest. Commencing your laughter, you fail to see the scarred corner of his lips loop slightly upwards knowing he's got you where he's wanted you for a long time now after a long hectic day.
Pleased to hold you once again like a piece he's been waiting for to complete him. Clutching the flesh of your thighs like a bunch of pillows he had been itching to do so. "You could've told me you were feeling left out, Toji." forcing him to face you by holding his chiseled jaw with care, closing his eyes as he lets you stroke the lower parts of his jaw. Kind of reminding you like a happy, purring cat.
"Just wanted some of mommy's attention as well." winking as he grabs your hand to place a kiss at the back, grinning at the familiar shyness radiating your face. "You got two men in your hands, brat. Remember that."
"I'd like to say I have two babies now! One small baby." you nudge your shoulder a bit to show the squished up cheek from the sleeping Megumi, "And a big, grumpy, baby." snickering at the frown while patting his cheek.
Toji won't admit this one out loud to anyone, but having you beaming at him with the opposite of everything he's known for all his life still warmed his heart up til now throughout the years. He counts all of his lucky stars if there were out there that today on he lives to have a domestic life he never knew he also longed for. Well, for both the powerful and the ones who've lost entirely a part of themselves, a world of jujutsu sorcerers, to be part of even if he wasn't one to be gifted. He can't fathom the idea of what might happen if he's taken the bidding of taking care of the number 1 sorcerer. He'd be good as dead if he wasn't underestimating the guy.
Maybe that's why he's been caught up with so much on his back. To be still living at the edge of every thing when all he's been given is at the safer side of that cliff. It wasn't so bad, to have you and his son shielded from the dangers of vile beings. As long as he lives to have a a bit of the ray of light, he's willing to chase after it.
"Say, why don't you hold Megumi for a bit while I fix us up some tonkatsu, sound good?"
The rumbles in his stomach were killing him. There was a small glimmer in his eyes when you said you were going to cook for the two of you— gulping back the hunger and drool. Carefully placing Megumi down in between his pectorals, you waltz your way to the kitchen, prepping up the needed ingredients and bowls.
Toji studies the small bundle of joy that laid too comfortably in between his chest as if they were humongous pillows. He marvels the way how an entire palm can hold Megumi from the bum. You weren't kidding when you said his kid was tiny, it was cute. That'll be the first and last he'll ever use that word. He resembles to a loaf of bread though. Yet staring longer, he's never felt much of a jackass for not really stepping up his game in the fatherly hood— even once forgotten his own name when he was the one who thought of it.
He takes back what he's said about wanting it to just be you and him. The warmth spreading inside him as squeaky snores were earned from unconsciously stroking Megumi's back, suddenly he thinks back to his thoughts seconds ago after the mini father and son bond he's gotten so far.
Perhaps he didn't need to chase the light if it had been already within his reach.
Instead of the world he lingers on, it's not so bad accepting another one to fill in the gap in his heart. Toji was never jealous in the first place— he sighs at that knowing you'll never let it go as he snickers by the way you were swinging your hips, lost in your own tune while the delicious aroma spreads. But for one things for sure, all he ever wanted was a reminder.
That this was all his.

Little Jingyi idolizes his uncle Wei Wuxian very much just as much as how his uncle Lan Wangji does as well. Whenever his uncle would visit them , he would be over the moon.
They would play and sometimes his uncle will tell him stories usually about his parents when they were still young.
Though some stories had some exaggerated fillers in it, he would instantly believe it. His uncle's words were like gospel to him.
One day his uncle Wei and uncle Wangji came to babysit him because his parents went to tend something, somewhere. He was so ecstatic!
His uncle spend all afternoon telling him a story about his parent's trip to hawaii for an anniversary. After telling the whole story, Jingyi wanted more but Wei wuxian have run out of ideas to add. He look at his husband who was sitting peacefully in a chair near the window reading a book. Beside Wangji was a picture frame of Jingyi's parents in a halloween costume from a party a few years ago, suddenly an idea hit him. He made an evil grin internally.
He turned his attention back to the little kid who was smiling gleefully at him.
He gave him a small smile before turning his expression into somewhat of a stern and serious one.
Jingyi's mouth turn into an "O" . His uncle is about to continue!
His uncle usually likes to emphasize his stories using hand gestures or facial expression. Little Jingyi gulped in anticipation. He's excited.
"Actually , there is an after story to that."
"What is it uncle!"
"How old are you now?"
Jingyi blinked, why was his uncle asking him about his age? It confused him but he was curious so he answered, "6 uncle but why?"
"I see, so I guess its time that you know the truth."
The little kid was puzzled. What truth?
"The time when your parents went to hawaii, you were still a baby." Wei wuxian made an exaggerated pause which caused more tension growing inside little Jingyi. The kid's hand that was placed in his lap is now clutching strongly at his pants.
" On the last day of that trip, Your Papa was resting near the beach while your dad was taking a swim. Suddenly a loud shout was heard from your dad."
Jingyi's eyes went as wide as a saucer. "Oh no! DAD! "
Wei wuxian's face darkened and grimly, he said " He disappeared after."
Jingyi's face fell.
His lips quivered, a sign that he was about to cry.
Wei Wuxian noticed it but he continued thinking his next words will wipe this expression out of Jingyi's face.
"And it was later found out that he was taken by mermaids!"
The oblivious child gasped loudly, astounded, he doesn't feel like crying anymore.
" A mermaid.." he mouthed in astonishment.
"Then he became mermaid after!"
"Oooooh" he mumbled as he stared at wei wuxian with huge fascinated ,credulous eyes.
"So my Dad is a mermaid ?"
Wei Wuxian made a short pause, thinking. What is something that his little brother never does anymore with his child that the kid doesn't remember anymore because he's been a busy man this past few years.
Hmmmmmm.... ah!
"Have you ever taken an actual bath WITH him?" He asked, gravely.
Little Jingyi contemplated seriously as if trying to solve a hard calculus problem, his chubby cheeks puffing out even more as he stared at the wall thinking. Now that he thought about it , his Papa is the only one who always helps him in the bath and the only one who had ever bathed with him.
So he sternly answered, "NO."
Wei wuxian bit his lips trying to suppressed the huge laughter that was about to succumb from his mouth then he continued when it was safe.
"Did you ever see him wash the dishes?" another thing which he knows his little brother never does even before marriage.
Jingyi thought again, and remembered his papa was always the one washing the dishes.
Again another, "No."
Wei wuxian covered his mouth with both hands as he make a dramatic gasped. But seriously he was trying to shield his mouth to cover the unbearable upturn of his lips.
"Its because he doesn't want to touch water!"
Realization hits the little child and he gasped again for the Nth time that afternoon.
He never saw his dad touch water because his dad will turn into a mermaid if he does!
After that day little Jingyi spend the next few days, stalking his Dad all over the house, waiting for him to touch water even sneakily peeps at the haft open bathroom door whenever JC comes in to use it, even in the kitchen while he cooks!
At first JC thought he was imagining things but its getting more and more obvious each passing day. Something is up or he is going crazy!
Because lately he keep finding a toy seashell everywhere; in the table, sometimes in the bath tub when he is about to take a bath and other times in his own bed! as if it was left there for him.

What the actual fuck is happening?
So one saturday night after dinner he ask his little one if something was wrong.
Jingyi innocently shook his head but JC wasn't convinced. That night after kissing Jingyi's forehead and bidding him goodnight. He noticed his drawing pad beside his pillow.
He is not one to snoop around but something told him to open it and when he did, everything just made sense!
Gritting his teeth, he silently walk out of Jingyi's room and now with heavy feet, he stomp his way towards his and LXC's shared room begrudgingly swearing under his breaths about stupid brothers and their stupid stories.
"I will break every piece of bone of his body and will start from his legs!
He told LXC that night after telling him what he discovered. LXC just giggled in amusement because his husband was so adorable and he can't wait to see what His little Jingyi drew tomorrow when he wakes up.
This wasn't the first time Wei Wuxian did this, the other time Wei wuxian told Jingyi that his Papa was actually a robot that his dad bought online during college because he was a sad grumpy introverted single man that needs a companion.
Little Jingyi was just so convinced, specially after Wei wuxian said, " Have you noticed your papa's face? He always has this neverending smile! A normal human don't do that! Have you ever seen him angry or sad?"

Sparks Fly (part 3)
Okay I apologize for my delay, but you will be happy to know that I have the next chapter nearly finished as well (!!!!!) So hopefully it won't take me too long to post that one after all the editing😌 I hope you enjoy this chapter😌
Also, yes, I did use a Desperate Housewives plot for my murder case, and no I'm not sorry. I suck at writing crime😂
Tumblr media
A flash of heat washed over you, the room was spinning, the loud music was drowning out your thoughts, and your vision was blurring.  You could feel your heart begin to pound and the blood rushing throughout your body.  The city lights blurred together as you tried to focus, but that was failing.  There was a voice trying to get through to you, but you couldn't make it out.  The next thing you knew you're head was hitting the dashboard and the sounds of screaming and car horns echoed in your mind.
*
"Y/N!" a faint voice sounded in the distance. "Y/N!"
The voice was louder now, and when you could feel yourself being shaken you shot up from your sleeping position on the couch and gasped frantically for air.  You couldn't catch your breath and hot tears rolled down your cheeks. The person behind the voice was holding you tightly to their chest, and after a few minutes you knew that it was your big brother.  He was rubbing your back and rocking you gently, whispering words of comfort in your ear until you could grasp into reality.
*
"That's your fourth one this month," he sighed from the kitchen 30 minutes later.
"I know," you acknowledge blankly and hugged the warm, couch throw around you tighter.
You watched your big brother roam around the kitchen making you his famous tea. He always knew how to calm your nerves after a night terror like this. Despite the every day frustrations of living with your brother; clothes all over the place, dishes in the hamper, towels on the floor; you were grateful to have him around these past 13 months. After your little incident nothing had ever been the same, and you didn't think you would have made it through without him by your side, especially in your line of work.
When he finally noticed you coming into the kitchen he shook his head at you and pointed back towards the living room. "No. No go lay down," it wasn't a request, but you didn't care.  That old couch was not comfortable in the slightest.
"You don't have to baby me, Travis," your annoyance was clear, but obviously he didn't care about that.
"I do when you aren't taking your meds," he frowned and set an ugly orange bottle in front of you.
"Oh god, don't say 'meds' like that," you rolled your eyes.  "It makes me sound sick," you huffed just as annoyed.
"This isn't a joke!" you jumped, eyes wide, when his voice filled the kitchen.  He softened and ran his hand through his messy hair.  "Y/N, I can't help if you won't even help yourself.  What does NCIS have to say about this?" his eyes were searching yours for an answer, but you couldn't even come up with a quick enough lie.  "Dammit, Y/N.  They don't know about this?"
"Travis, it isn't as bad as you make it out," the words rushed out of you, but he wasn't buying it. "I can still do my job, and it only happens while I'm asleep anyway."
"And how long until that's not the case?" he tested you.
You sighed and walked around the island to him and took the tea he had made you.  "Big brother I appreciate you looking out for me, I do, but it's too early for one of your fatherly lectures," you sighed and he rolled his eyes. "Now if you will excuse me, I have a shower calling my name before I have to be at work," you kissed his cheek and headed across the room.
"Does she know?" the words had you frozen in place.
You knew that he was talking about Jack. Who else would it be?  Ever since the that night she came prying into your life, you couldn't get your mind off of her.  She had been at NCIS for 6 months now, and the two of you had become the best of friends.  She hadn't taken the place of Ellie, but Jack wasn't like Ellie, and neither were your feelings for her, even if you couldn't place them.  Of course she didn't know.  What did he think?  That you were completely crazy enough to tell the NCIS psychologist about your night terrors?  That you hadn't been taking your medication?  Because if that's what he thought, well, he knew better than that.
"Why does that matter?" you tried to make your voice sound at level.  The grip on your mug tightened so the tea wouldn't spill.
"So that's a no," he rolled his eyes and you could feel him staring a hole into the back of your neck.  You hated how he could see right through you.  You almost responded, but bit your tongue and stepped into the bathroom and the door shut behind you.
*
When you arrived at the office Gibbs was already there and a cup of coffee was on your desk.  You dropped your bag on the floor and fell into your seat with a quiet sigh of relief. "Thanks Gibbs," you muttered tiredly and took a sip before furrowing your brow. "Wait, how did you know-"
"You've been early every day this week," he shrugged and glanced over his monitor towards you.
"Right," you nodded and began to set up your space.
"Anything wrong?"
You knew that Gibbs was concerned about any of the team who's pattern abruptly changed. What you didn't know was why it was such a surprise to you. Quickly you shook your head. "Nope," you could feel him staring at you but brush it off when you refused to say more.
You were grateful that he stopped there and you began to go through the paperwork on your desk. It was another 2 hours until the rest of the team arrived. You ignored the look of concern Ellie flashed you and finished up with the last of the paperwork. That was the 4th stack of paperwork you had gone through this week alone. Your mind needed a distraction and case files would do that to a person.
"Y/N," you looked up to see Jack standing up in the balcony. "Got a second?" She eyed you closely and you felt your chest tighten. You had been avoiding her lately. With all you'd been through the last thing you needed was for Jack to get suspicious. She always could see right through you.
"Got a body," Gibbs entered the bullpen in a hurry and grabbed his gear.
"Rain check?" You gave a sympathetic smile and quickly headed to the elevator. Thank God for this case. That was a horrible thought, one that you didn't truly mean, but you just needed to get away.
*
Jimmy was at the scene of the crime before anybody else had arrived, and with the help of Ducky they had gathered enough information to make a proper diagnosis of how this woman had died.  She was murdered, hit by something wooden to the back of the neck and then strangled by a fishing rope and hung from her banister.  It didn't take long for you to find a clue as to who the biggest suspect was while you and the team were looking through the house.  There was a threatening note on the desk that read: I know what you did.  I am going to tell.
"McGee," you looked over your shoulder and held up the note with gloves on.
McGee came over and read it, his brow furrowing the more he read.  "It looks like Cathryn Phelps had an enemy," he stated as he put it into an evidence bag.
"Who is Jamie Harris?" Bishop questioned as she read it now.
"Did you say Jamie Harris?" Torres entered the room.  He held up a picture frame with two women in it after you nodded.  "She was Cathryn's wife."
You couldn't fight the surprise that flashed across your face when Torres announced that.  "Why would she send a threatening note to her own wife?"
*
The rest of the car ride was full of theories tossed back and forth, and you knew Gibbs was thankful when the car finally came to a stop in the NCIS parking lot.  He didn't hesitate to get out and head towards the building, and you quickly followed.  You were eager to get your work done, and if you stuck around with the rest of the team you knew that they would start trying to analyze you.  The last thing that you wanted to do was talk about your problems, besides this case wasn't sitting well with you at all and you wanted to solve it quickly.
"There you are!" Jack bounced into the bullpen with a bright smile, but you could read between the lines.  She was up to something, you could tell by the way she narrowed her eyes ever so slightly.  Not that you were analyzing the psychologist or anything as crazy as that.
"Here I am," you nodded and plopped down in your chair.  "Busy as a bee.  No time for chit chat," you knew you were giving yourself away, but you avoided her gaze.
"Go," you looked over wide eyed to Gibbs.  "Y/N Go," he repeated with a slightly irritated frown.
"Boss I-" you stopped when he gave you that famous death stare.  You frowned and closed your things before following Jack and muttering something under your breath as the team walked by and watched with curiosity.  They were always so curious.
*
You followed Jack into her office and sighed as she insisted you go in first.  It wasn't as though you were going to run away.  Gibbs would just send you back up, and Jack would probably handcuff you to the chair.  You shook your head as the thought of handcuffs quickly veered into a vivid fantasy you did not want to relish in at this moment. You sighed and took a seat on the sofa with your hands in your lap.
"What is so important that it couldn't wait, Jack?" you huffed.
Jack frowned, not understanding all of this hostility. "I'm sorry, Y/N, I didn't realize having to talk to me was such a chore," she pouted and crossed her arms from across the room.
"I'm sorry," you sighed and let out a long breath that you seemed to have been holding in.  "I just have a lot that needs to get done."
"That's what I want to talk to you about."
Your eyes shot up and you crossed your arms.  "My work?  Jack I don't really think that is any of your business.  It's not like I'm letting cases pile up or coming into work late every day.  Frankly, I don't understand what this is even about."
"It is my business when it's been brought to my attention by someone who is concerned about you," Jack frowned as you kept taking that defensive tone with her.  You had been doing it a lot lately.
"This is ridiculous," you huffed and stood up to leave in frustration.
"Y/N, sit down," her voice came out firmer than she anticipated.  You frowned at her, but slowly retreated back into the couch.  "The team is worried about you, and after all that they've pointed out... well, so am I."
"What the hell does everybody have to be worried about??" you snapped.
Jack opened up a file she had laying on her desk and came over to sit in the chair across from you.  "You were in a car accident just over a year ago, am I right?"
You felt your heart drop and your stomach turn.  Suddenly you felt nauseous and cursed yourself for not taking your medication this morning after Travis insisted.  Your hands suddenly started shaking and you hugged yourself a little tighter than before.  "Where did you hear that?" your voice came out in a hoarse whisper.
"It was in your file.  Vance gave it to me when I started," she stated matter-of-factually.
You could feel your blood boiling.  She had known from the start more about you than you even knew to this day about her!  Was any of this even real or had she been giving you the sympathetic shoulder this whole time?  You didn't know what to say, because if you spoke now you would probably regret it.  You were functioning on 3 hours of sleep, and your emotions were running high already.
"Who was the woman?" her voice interrupted the thoughts racing through your mind causing your head to pound.
"What woman?"
"The woman in the car," her voice was soft as though not to upset you more.  She could see this whole things was causing you to act on edge.  "The woman who died."
The tears silently fell down your cheeks and you held your breath.  You didn't even know that you had started to cry until the tears landed on your hands.  You took a deep breath and quickly wiped your eyes.  "It doesn't matter."
Jack sighed softly, this was going to be harder than she thought, but she needed answers.  Vance had told her that you had refused to talk to anybody about the accident after it happened.  At first it hadn't affected your work.  He had been informed that you had spoken to Ellie and that your brother had moved in.  It was as though the accident had never happened, but these past few months, especially the last 4 weeks, you had started to go backwards mentally.  You had been forcing yourself to work 3 times your normal work load, you had been coming in 2 hours earlier, and you had taken spontaneous trips down to the gym at every chance.  You had even started to doze off on occasion, and Gibbs hadn't been allowing you into interrogation lately.
"It matters, Y/N," Jack pressed on.  Her voice was calming, and it only made you madder.  "You can't keep carrying on like this never happened.  It is catching up to you, and it isn't healthy."
"Just stop!" you snapped and jumped to your feet.  "I didn't ask for your help!  I never wanted help in the first place, so why are you pushing?  This doesn't concern you!"
Jack let out another slow sigh and began to write something down.  You watched her and clenched your fists at your sides.  "I'm afraid it does, Y/N, and until you decide to talk about it, I am afraid that I am going to have to give you a suspension," she tore the paper from the notebook and handed you a copy.
You took the paper and looked down at it dumbfounded.  "What the hell is this?"
"You aren't to step foot back into NCIS until you decide to cooperate," Jack had to be tough, her voice was firm, but she was doing all she could to keep it together.  You and her were close friends, almost the best of, and this was harder on her than she was able to let on.  "Pack your things and go home, Y/N," she whispered and turned to go to her desk.  She took a seat and busied herself with her computer, avoiding any more contact with you.
"You can't do this," you argued, waving the piece of paper at her.  "You don't have the right to do this."
"Actually, she does," you snapped your head to see Director Vance standing in the doorway with his hands folded behind his back.  "Y/N, I trust you will won't need an escort," he eyed you carefully.
Your jaw dropped as you looked between the two.  Jack still avoided your gaze and Vance was calm, be it he had two escorts waiting in the hall just in case.  You rolled your eyes at the thought.  He should have known you better than that.  "You've got to be kidding me," you muttered and pushed past him before racing down the steps.  You went to your desk, slid all of your belonging into your bag carelessly and zipped it up angrily.
"Where do you think you're going?" Gibbs spoke up, but you didn't answer, only worked faster.  "Y/N!"
"Ask your boss," you snapped as you gathered the last of your things.  The team was wise not to get in the middle of this, but Ellie quietly took the note out of your hand to see what was going on.  What did you care?  She was your best friend after all, it was only a matter of time before she knew anyway.  "I've been suspended due to my hard work ethic and punctuality," you rolled your eyes in disdain.  The sarcasm didn't sit well with Vance, who was now standing outside of the bullpen, but you didn't care.
"Like hell you are," Gibbs came to your defense and looked to Vance.  "Leon, she's my best Agent for this case."
"I'm sorry, Gibbs, but my hands are tied," Vance apologized.
"Bullshit," you muttered and you could practically hear the teams eyes widen.  You glanced up to see Jack offer a sympathetic pursing of the lips, but you rolled your eyes and walked towards the elevator.  "Don't expect me back soon.  I don't plan on 'cooperating'," you frowned and with that you were gone.

Chikara: Kanashimi (1/?)

Tumblr media
Ellie quietly wandered the halls of Langston, head down, never noticed by anyone and she never spoke to anyone either.  It was just her and her thoughts, her roommate flaked out the first two weeks of fall semester. Not like she ever really talked to the girl. Her day consists of getting up, going to school, homework, dinner, shower, bed. Rinse, lather, repeat, Every day for 6 months.
She tried to keep her mind busy,  she never fully tuned it out. Behind all the math problems and research papers, he was always there like a cancerous tumor sucking the life out of her. she didn't hate it, it was quite the opposite really, she loved it, she needed it to get by the long days and lonely nights.
The night they finally took the brotherhood down, was one of the proudest moments she felt. They watched as Jason was hauled off in handcuffs, a tiny sliver of justice for Kaneko. She said goodbye to Toby, Ximena, even Mona, she knew they would move on from the crew. When Logan said goodbye it stung, she cared a great deal for him. He was the first guy she had ever kissed, or even had feelings for but, he wasn't Colt. From the moment they met, he drove her crazy, he annoyed her to no end and he was a complete jerk but she was drawn to him like a moth to a flame.
She had just finished submitting her final paper to her English teacher when she ran to her dorm room, grabbed her bags and headed to the airport. When she left for the summer program at Langston she told her dad she would see him at thanksgiving. She reluctantly left her car behind, a deal her father and her came to for breaks such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring break, In the summer she would drive home. It was finally Thanksgiving and she couldn't wait.  she pressed the imaginary gas pedal on the airplane floor, secretly hoping it would get her there faster.
The sound of a screaming child filled the cabin, Ellie popped her earbuds in, attempting to drown out the noise. Just a little bit longer,  almost there she kept telling herself. Once they landed, she grabbed her luggage and looked for her dad. She seen him standing in the pick up area holding one of those makeshift signs that read Wheeler. "Dad, you're such a dork." She flung her arms around him. "Yeah, the coolest dork you'll ever meet." He retorted.
They got in the car and made the drive to the house, sure she couldn't wait to be home.  She was looking forward to seeing Riya and Darius, having Thanksgiving dinner at her grandparents, but she had more pressing matters to attend to. They pulled into the driveway and Ellie ran into the house,  flinging her luggage on the bed. She had to play it carefully, not to tip her dad off as to her plans. She came down stairs and like clockwork her dad asked if she was hungry. "Sure thing dad." She smirked, knowing after he ate he would want to take a nap.
"So. Any plans with Riya? She's home from Hartfeld this week." Dad asked as he put the dishes in the sink.  "Yeah we actually made some plans to catch up. Speaking of, can I use your car to see if shes home?" Her dad reached in his pocket handing her the keys "Just be careful, I'm going to take a nap."
Ellie ran up to her room, she flung open her suitcase and changed out of her leggings and baggy t shirt into a pair of jeans and a crop top.
She ran to the car, turning the key as the engine roared to life. It wasn't her car, but it would do.
She made the drive into the city, stopping at where the sideshow was, but nothing was there. She pulled down another street and parked in front of the familiar building. Not much had been done with the burned out shell of its former self, it looked as if time stood still. It was boarded up in attempts to keep people out, she walked around the building until she found a loose board and slipped in. The inside was hardly touched, some sorting had been done, she knew Colt had come back the day he gave her the cactus. There wasn't much left of the place, some debris strewn about, some shells of cars that once sat in the bay. It was clear nobody had been here, and the realization that nobody was coming back began to set it.
She thought she needed to come here, that maybe she would find something other then the burnt remains of the place that changed her, or someone.  The tears began to sting her eyes, so many memories in such a short time. Ever since they parted ways, she felt like a part of her was missing. There was a gaping hole in her heart that ached, she grasped her chest as ler legs failed her. For 6 months she kept her phone glued to her, in hopes someone would just reach out, for 6 months she prayed that someone would come for her, that she wasn't alone, and she meant something to them.
She sat alone on the floor of Kaneko's garage in a heap of ash and soot, crying her eyes out.  They were gone, you're just a tourist ringing in her head.  She was in fact alone, they weren't  coming back for her and it was time to try and move on.
She made her way back home, covered head to toe in the black substance that stained the floors of the garage, much like the stains on her heart. After a long cry in the hot shower, Ellie pulled open her closet door and started to hang her clothes inside when she spotted something tucked away behind her prom dress. She couldn't imagine what it might be, it was larger than any of her clothes. Gripping the petal pink fabric she pulled the dress forward,  giving easier access to the mystery item. Her fingers began to tremble, her nerves on edge as she ripped the clothing hanging in front of it off the hangers and tossed them to the floor reaching her goal item.
Ellie staggered backwards, item in hand.  the backs of her knees hitting the mattress causing her to sit. She stared blankly at the jacket in front of her, Colts leather jacket. How did it get there? She didn't think it was there when she packed for Langston, but could she have missed it?
She held the soft leather to her face, the scent of his cologne putting her immediately at ease. This was all she had left of him, that and the few photos and texts she had saved in her phone. Ellie slipped the jacket on, it was over sized but she didn't care. She placed her hands in the pockets pulling it flush to her body as if it were his arms wrapped around her.  Her fingers brushed against something and she pulled it from the pocket.
She stared down at the folded piece of paper, she recognized the stationary, it was one from her desk. Unfolding it slowly, tears began to well on her eyes in anticipation. His penmanship was far better then she anticipated but she knew better then to expect to unexpected when it came to Colt Kaneko.
Ellie,
If you are reading this that means you have found my jacket in your closet. I am risking everything coming here and sneaking in.   I just needed you to have it, to have something of me with you in this cold, unforgiving world.
Im not good with words, and feelings so im going to try my best. I love you Ellie Wheeler, I probably have since the moment I laid eyes on you at the side show, only I couldn't admit it to myself then.
I know you think that I don't care but leaving you, was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I meant what I said, we will see each other again.
I watched you give your speech at graduation,  It took everything I had in me not to run out there and kiss you. I am so proud of you valedictorian. And just a little while ago when you drove away for College, I just had to see you if only at a distance. Keeping you safe will always be my priority,  and with the fbi breathing down my back, letting you go was the only way.
Live your life to the fullest Elle, don't cry for me im not worth your tears. Have fun in college, make friends, fall in love. You are amazing and you deserve to be happy. I hope that when our paths do cross again, you accomplished everything you set out to. I think your dad may be home so I have to run. Remember I will always Love you Ellie, even if I can't be with you.
Love, Colt.
She closed the letter, tears streaming down her face as she laid down on her bed. He was at her graduation, and when she left for Langston. She was hurting but she knew she had to move on, and now with his jacket she had a piece of him with her.
Two weeks went by in the blink of an eye, before she knew it she was back at Langston.  She drug her luggage down the long hall to her dorm room, she reached for her key, opening her door she walked into a different room then when she left. The opposite side of the room, once empty was decorated in pink, pink as far as the eye could see. Ellie flung her bags onto the bed, collapsing next to them when the sound of the door opening startled her. She sat up, eyes wide staring at the person in front of her. "Hey roomie!"
