I bought a chair and a sword today

#speculation nation#it's ok i was very good last week and got a 100% on my weekly chores list#so i was allowed a big purchase.#felt a little stupid buying the chair bc i have Not Much Room in my apartment.#but i just loved it so much. it's so PRETTY and such a lovely little corner chair.#and the great news is that it fit Perfectly in the one corner of the house i could fit it in#the sword is an antique (of course) perhaps as old as the 1800s. belonged to some guy named Charles#and was from a 'benevolent secret society' called the Knights of Pythias.#i was worried about potentially buying a sword from a racist group but aside from racial segregation (which ended around 1950)#they were apparently a pretty good group. core ideals of peace and such.#the sword has stuff like peace lilies and such on it. so like it's pretty chill.#and it is mine now. sorry Charles whoever you were. it's mine now.#the chair has like. inlaid opal i think is what they said. and redwood. it's very pretty. and i love it very much.#edit: MOTHER OF PEARL not opal. whoopsies
