some pompous asf douchebag pop culture reporter: i know what real comedy is. it’s a shame that most people don’t these days 😩!
the pompous asf douchebag pop culture reporter: *is really just commenting on the new sequel of bill & ted having daughters instead of sons and how kids these days don’t know what ~real comedy~ like the original bill & ted movies are or just what ~real comedy~ is in general etc*
me: are you sure adrian? are you really fucking sure that comedy isnt subjective or whatever??? i’m pretty sure the comedy you’d like would be some pseudo-intellectual bullshit that’s confusing for everyone else because of it’s overly obscure references.... but somehow that’s “real comedy” to you. or whatever. get off your high horse as a “pop culture and celeb news” commentator. what even constitutes as ~real comedy~ anyway? surely a good part of it is “what makes someone laugh”? and if it’s just all highly tailored obscure references to some such writer or something, why would that be funny to anyone else other than you and the audience that follows those obscure refs??? shut the fuck up and let people enjoy remakes and stuff. why aren’t you happy that a new generation of kids will watch bill & ted and maybe engage in the old movies to get the story??? who gives a fuck if bill & ted have daughters and that that doesn’t really enhance the storyline?? honestly stop being a fucking wankstain adrian. let people have some fun (including the actors tbh).
#life#about me#shut up ilona#but seriously though#this has been bothering me for a fucking fortnight#i was watching the aussie abc weekend report on the emmys etc#and the pop culture dude went on the ~real comedy~ rant#and i was just like: ‘i would just fucking love to punch your smug fucking face adrian’#you are not the lord of high culture and art criticism just because your report for the abc#shut the fuck up
