Let’s start off with some basics. What’s your name? Stephanie. How old are you? 30. What’s your hair and eye color? Brown eyes and naturally dark hair (I dye it red, though). How tall are you? I’d be like 5′4. What’s your relationship status? Single.
Alright, enough of that. Let’s move on to the random shit.
What’s your favorite song? I have a lot of favorites. I could never just choose one. What does that song mean? What is the message behind it? Is it your favorite because you relate to it, or do you just like the beat? Both. Like I said, I have many favorites. Also, a song can be a favorite for the memories attached to it. Have any pets? If so, what are they and what’s their names? I do. I have a 2 year old German Shepherd/Lab mix named Princess Leia.
Have you ever met your idol? I don’t consider him my idol now, but in high school I was a big fan of Drake Bell and I got to meet him twice. If so, were they nice or were they kind of an ass? He was very nice. What’s your favorite method of gaming? (PC, Xbox, Playstation, etc) Nintendo Switch. If you’re in college, what’s your major and why did you pick it? I graduated with my BA in psych a few years ago. How’re you doing today? Today was alright. What color are your bedroom walls? They’re white. Describe your favorite shirt. All my graphic tees. I have a pretty big collection going on. Use this space to tell someone off. Nah. What’s your view on smart watches? Cool or a waste of money? I personally don’t see the need, but I guess for others it’s convenient. What is one poster that you have hanging on your bedroom wall of? A water color painting of a giraffe I purchased at a crafts fair. How many times have you moved in your life? Only once I’m old enough to remember, but I think maybe a total of 4 times. If you moved, do you like where you are now better than where you were? We literally moved next door to where we lived before lmao. The landlord was remodeling this one and wanted to do the same to ours, so they offered for us to move into this one when it was finished. What’s your favorite color and why? Pastels, dusty rose, coral, mint green, and yellow. They’re aesthetically pleasing to me. Do you have a calendar? If so, what’s the theme? I just received my new Alexander Skarsgard calendar for 2020. This really sweet person online makes them and sent me my first one a couple years ago and then reached out again to me recently to see if I wanted another, which of course I did. Have any famous person’s autographs? Drake Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jim Carrey. Do you draw well? Nope. What type of cell phone do you have? iPhone XR. Should you be doing anything else right now or are you just bored? I don’t have anything else I should be doing. If you’re in school/college, what’s your favorite subject and why? Are you a cat or a dog person? Why? Dog person.
Tell me about the plot of your favorite book. I have many favorite books. I’ve told ya’ll, I suck at choosing favorites. I just can’t possibly choose one. Do you wear glasses or contacts? I wear glasses. What do you think about horror movies? I enjoy them now, which is something I wouldn’t have said like 4 years ago. I’ve just really gotten into them. If you love them (I do), what’s your favorite? Okay, okay here’s something I can pick a few top faves for: It 2017 and It Chapter 2, the Halloween movies, and the Scream movies. Got any cool Christmas presents picked out for family or friends yet? Yeppp I’m actually done with my Christmas shopping already, which is shocking for me. Do you do Black Friday shopping or wait for Cyber Monday? I do both. My Black Friday shopping is done online, too. Many stores have had Black Friday sales going on for weeks and extended through the weekend. Cyber Monday sales are going on all week as well. It’s so much better doing it online. No crowds or chaos. Have any mental illnesses? Yes. What’s your favorite word and why? *shrug* What is the most expensive thing you own, and what is it? My laptop. Did you buy that item yourself? No, it was a gift from my dad. Where do you work and what is your postion? I don’t. How often do you cuss? Rarely. What type of car do you drive, if any? I don’t. Are you happy with it? If no, what’s your dream car? Do you have a lot of social media accounts? Which ones? Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. What is your favorite genre of music? I like variety, but according to Spotify my top 4 genres are: Pop, hip hop, rock, and r&b. Does your family have holiday traditions? If so, what are they? For Thanksgiving we have Thanksgiving dinner and for Christmas we decorate the tree together and put up decorations, have Christmas Eve dinner and then watch A Christmas Story (TBS plays it for 24 hours straight and I like to keep my TV on the channel all night so I fall asleep and wake up to it), and opening presents Christmas morning with A Christmas Story on in the background. When I was a kid we used to drive around town looking at all the lights and decorations. If you’re in a relationship, are you happy with it? I’m single. How long have you been with your significant other? Do you like psychology? (It’s my college major). I do. I majored in it as well. What is something your state is popularly known for? I feel like people associate California with Hollywood and celebrities, and beaches. Do you like to do craft projects? If so, what’s the coolest thing you made? I like the idea of doing them haha. I wish I was crafty and creative and had the inspiration and motivation to do them. Do you watch sports or do you think they’re overrated? I’m not into sports. What’s one occupation you think gets paid too much and doesn’t deserve to? Hmm. Do you straighten your hair? I haven’t in years. Ever dyed your hair a color that isn’t natural? (blue, pink, etc) I dye it red. How’s your relationship with your parents? Great. I’m really close to my mom, she’s the best mom and also my best friend. Do you still live with them or do you have your own house? I live with them. What’s something you are currently saving money for to buy? I’m broke now after Christmas shopping, but I don’t care. I love buying gifts for my family. Next month I have to start saving up for my vacation. Do you smoke/vape? If so, what brand do you smoke/what device do you use? No. Ever done drugs? Just weed. Tell me one of your worst habits. Biting/picking at my lips and picking at acne and scabs. What’s a weird quirk you have that no one else you know does? I cook my Ramen for 6 minutes, alternating between stirring and not stirring. Like one minute I stir, the next minute I don’t, etc. If you game, what type of headset do you use? I just play with my Nintendo Switch. I don’t use a headset. I’ve never used a headset while playing any game console. What type of computer do you own, and do you like it? I have a MacBook Air. I love it. What’s the thing that annoys you the most? I’m such an irritable person. Sometimes it can be any little thing. What brand of TV do you have? Phillips Roku TV. Are you excited for Christmas? (It’s December 1st today when I made this) I love Christmastime. Tell me about your favorite vacation you’ve taken. Disneyland trips, beach trips, mountain area trips, and the trip my family and I took to visit my grandpa in Idaho one summer. My aunts, one of my uncles, a lot of my cousins, my mom, brother, and I all took the long road trip to go visit my grandpa for a week and we had the best time. It meant even more because he suddenly passed away just a few months later. :( We had no idea it would be our last time.
Tell me something cool about yourself. Lol there’s nothing cool about me. Did/do you get good grades in school/college? I got A’s and B’s. What’s your ringtone on your phone? Just one that came with the phone. I didn’t choose it. What’s your favorite store to shop in? Target, Hot Topic, Boxlunch, and Kohl’s. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy and why? I’d have to pay off my debt first and foremost. I’d pay off my parents and brothers’ as well. How long have you had a Bzoink account? I don’t have a Bzoink account.
Ever been to Field of Screams? If so, what’s your favorite attraction? Never heard of that one specifically, but I’m guessing it’s one of those things with like haunted hay rides, haunted houses, and people in scary costumes that jump out at you and whatnot. Those kinds of things are not my thing. I love horror movies, but I’m not about people jumping out at me and giving me literal jump scares. Nooo thank you. Do you own a Polaroid camera? No. Do you have hardwood floor in your room or carpet? Carpet. It’s a Saturday night, what are you typically doing? Same stuff I do everyday. Do you have a lot of friends or do you not have any at all? I don’t have any. That’s completely my own doing. :/ What’s your all time favorite movie and why? I have too many. How many blankets do you sleep with at night? Just one.
What’s the last TV show you watched? Did you enjoy it? KUWTK. Do you prefer cable TV or do you use Netflix? I have stuff I like to watch on TV and I like using streaming devices. Disney+ has been my latest obsession. What is your dream job and why? I don’t have one. :/ Do you think you would be a good therapist? No. What’s your favorite brand of clothing? I don’t have a particular favorite brand. Did you like this survey? It was fine.

The Sprudge Guide To Animal Crossing Cafes
During a time where more of us are brewing from home, it’s easy to miss your favorite latte and bustling neighborhood cafe. The good news is that you can create a cafe or coffee bar in Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players are encouraged to use their creativity to design their own island. What feels like the perfect way to live out daily activities in the era of social distancing, the game’s expansive item list and DIY city planning is leading some to recreate their favorite cafe on their island.
Creating a cafe in Animal Crossing similar to real life: you will need to acquire equipment, seating, and decor. To acquire these items, you will need to spend some time playing the game. Finding cafe items (or any desired items) in the game takes time and sometimes, luck, but you can buy items at the island store, Nook’s Cranny, with “bells”, the in-game currency. Items like an espresso machine may be available at your store for purchase between 8am–10pm in real-time, but the colors may vary. So if you have to have the red machine that replicates your La Marzocco Linea Mini, you may have to do some waiting.
Different players have acces to different items in the store, which encourages playing online with your friends to see what their Nook’s Cranny has available. Earning bells in-game is simple, and can be managed by selling fish or insects to the Nook brothers, hitting the right couple of rocks, or being graced with the occasional yellow balloon flying overhead. Maybe all that tree shaking you’re doing will eventually pay off, too.
An Endgrain Coffee inspired cafe by Cassie Geary.
Players like Cassie Geary, 30, an Associate Director in Higher Education Fundraising in New Jersey, have fallen in love with the cafe portion of this game because they miss visiting their local coffee shop. “Now I can still visit some of my favorite stores all while following social distancing rules,” Geary tells Sprudge. But for many players, the funnest part is designing their own cafe. As in the real world, your cafe design options are endless, and so are the amount of times you’ll move your coffee grinder to fit perfectly on the wooden table you just crafted.
During a time where movement is limited, in-game cafes are allowing players to virtually socialize and sip on pixelated coffee. It’s fun, and comforting. For new Animal Crossing players and seasoned farmers alike, today we’re featuring five of our favorite virtual cafes and their creators in this Animal Crossing island cafe guide. You might not be able to hang out in a real cafe right now, but you can hang out in these cafes.
“Starbucks” Themed Cafe
Designed to mimic the warm interiors of a stand-alone store, this “Starbucks” themed cafe looks and feels like the real deal. Located on Bacon Egg Island, the indoor cafe is adorned with wooden counters and seating, as well as custom made menus. Owner Bacon runs the cafe out of their home and offers villagers classics such as espresso, coffee, tea, and yes, even Frappuccino drinks.
Everything from the Via Instant bags on merchandise shelves, the spilled coffee cup, and employee uniforms were created using the Pro Editor app in the game. Nintendo online members can save the custom designs using Bacon’s creator code, MA-7390-0438-9100.
The “Starbucks” Themed Cafe was created by Mandy Hui playing as “Bacon”. The cafe is located on Bacon Egg Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Follow them on Instagram.
Momentos Island Cafe
Momentos Island Cafe offers guests a quiet place to relax after a day at the island amusement park situated next door.
Visitors come for the coffee and craft matcha lattes, but stay for the thoughtfully curated music playlist and peaceful location. Food options include wood-fired pizza for those looking to fill up before returning home. Occasionally, you may be treated to a saxophone solo from one of the local villagers if you encourage them. Owner Anna Molly also offers tours of Momentos Island.

Morning Heaven
With a name like Morning Heaven, this coffee shop attracts locals and tourists alike. The outside cafe has the best view of the nearby waterfall adding to the serene element of Morning Heaven.
Resident representative and owner Lena designed the cafe to mirror the Japanese decor found on Heaven Island. Just steps away from the island’s zen garden, museum, and beach, guests can enjoy hand-poured lattes, macchiatos, espresso, and fresh pastries and crepes.
Morning Heaven was created by Lena Engel playing as “Lena”. The cafe is located on Heaven Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Follow them on Instagram.
The Hive
The Hive brings French cafe classics to Bonheur Island. Similar to plazas found in Europe, the cafe is easily accessible from the island’s main shopping plaza and museum.
Owner Blight makes all espresso-based drinks on the cafe’s single yellow espresso machine. The Hive makes for the perfect place to sip on a latte while taking in your surroundings. Menu items include loose-leaf tea, coffee, kombucha, and light fares such as sandwiches and pastries.
The Hive was created by Joshua R. playing as “Blight”. The cafe is located on Bonheur Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Follow them on Instagram.
P I N K Cafe
Cherry Pie Island is brewing up an all candy-colored menu at P I N K Cafe. This Instagram-worthy cafe made its debut on the island recently and has become already well-known for its unique pink drinks and pastries.
Jade Shi is the cafe’s owner and menu curator. “It’s really simple since I’m obsessed with the color,” she tells me. “Everything has to be pink.” From “sakura” (cherry blossom) lattes to fresh strawberry milk and pink pastries topped with pink buttercream, there’s no shortage of the rosy hue here.

A Peachy Predicament
Character(s): Linh
Suggested Music: A King of Apathy
“Alright, I hope this place as a Nintendo 64.” Linh said to herself as she parked her car. Christmas was drawing closer and the twins have been good as always. Well, aside from the occasional scuffles. But even then, it was always to defend someone else, so Linh forgave them. It was snowing outside. She stepped out of the car and stood face to face with the Toys R Us store. She waddled over to the entrance, taking care not to slip on the icy concrete.
Just as Linh was about to walk through the front door, she heard someone groaning from around the corner. She stopped, hesitant of what to do next. She shook her head and made her way around the corner of the store.
“I hope this doesn’t end with me getting robbed.” Linh thought to herself. She turned the corner and braced herself when she found the source of the groaning. A woman with short blonde hair was down on the ground, clutching her ankle in pain with her black luggage bag beside her.
“Oh my goodness! Are you okay?” Linh asked in a panic.
“No, I twisted my ankle—owowow!” The lady replied in pain. “Damn it, we still needed to get ready for the show, too? How are we going to do this now?”
“Wait, there’s going to be a show?” Linh inquired as she helped the lady back onto her feet and lent her shoulder to her. She also made sure to get the luggage, as well.
“Yes, as a special promotion for the launch of the Nintendo 64 as well as Super Mario 64. I was supposed to play the role of Princess Peach.”
“Princess Peach? I thought her name was Princess Toadstool.”
“That’s what the script said. You’d have to ask the guy in charge of this. Just help me over to the employee entrance. I guess I have to break the news to them.” The two women wobbled their way to the store’s employee entrance. “Oh, by the way, my name is Cynthia.”
“I’m Linh. So how was this show supposed to go?”
“Well, we can’t exactly spoil the ending of Super Mario 64, so we were going to do a re-enactment of the ending of Super Mario World.”
“Oh hey, I remember that!”
“Really? Then I think we can overcome his dilemma.” Cynthia smiled as the two of them went through the employee entrance. They made their way through the brightly lit hall and to the spacious employee lounge. The director and other actors were waiting for them.
“Cynthia! We were worried about you! What happened to your leg?” A man wearing a hat with a rolled-up script in his hands approached Cynthia and Linh. There was a clear look of concern on his face.
“Mr. Spagnuolo, I’m sorry but I twisted my ankle on my way here. I can’t do the show like this.”
The director, other actors, and staff all gasped.
“Alright, first take a seat.” Mr. Spagnuolo said. “We’ll take a look at it before deciding what to do next.”
Linh helped Cynthia over to one of the black leather chairs in the lounge and sat her down. She slipped off Cynthia’s shoe and sock and rolled up her pant leg to get a better look. As expected, her ankle was in bad shape. It was swollen and red. There was no way Cynthia could do the show without injuring herself. One actor wearing a red shirt and blue overalls, presumably playing the role of Mario, handed Cynthia a bag of ice to place on her ankle. She thanked him for his thoughtfulness as she pressed the bag of ice up against her ankle.
“So what are we going to do now?” The Mario actor asked. “The show starts in twenty minutes and I doubt Cynthia’s ankle will heal up in that time.”
“Mr. Spagnuolo, Rob, I have an idea.” Cynthia said. “Linh here could take my place. I mean, she’s the same height and size as me, plus she’s played the Mario games before. She even spotted the discrepancy of the princess’s name.”
“Wait, what? We didn’t discuss this!” Linh protested. “I don’t even have the right hair for the princess. And why is her name Princess Peach now, anyway?”
“Oh, that’s an easy explanation.” Mr. Spagnuolo answered. “Princess Peach was always her name in Japan, and Nintendo’s American branch finally decided to fix that mistake. By the way, I’m Nick Spagnuolo. It’s nice to meet you, Linh.”
“And don’t worry about the hair. We have a wig ready.” Cynthia added. “Please Linh, we have nobody else to turn to!”
“I didn’t ask for this! I just wanted to buy a Nintendo 64 for my niece and nephew. Now I’m getting roped into a promotional performance on such short notice!”
“Of course we’re prepared to compensate you for your troubles.” Nick said. “We’ll even reserve a Nintendo 64 just for you to purchase. We’ll even let you have it for half off!”
Linh huffed. “You should’ve said that in the first place! Now I look like a damn fool for making a scene!”
Everyone in the staff lounge laughed and cheered. Cynthia motioned for a hug and Linh obliged.
“Thanks, Linh! You just saved the show!”
“Well, I haven’t saved anything yet. I still need to do the show!”
“Speaking of which, you need to get dressed right now. Also, here’s the script.” Nick shoved the rolled-up script into Linh’s hands as the staff ushered her out of the lounge to get changed. Nick, Cynthia, and Rob were the only ones left in the lounge.
“I sure hope she can pull it off.” Nick remarked.
“I know she can! She told me she’s played the Mario games and even remembers how Super Mario World ended.”
“If that’s true, then I think this’ll go smoothly then.” Rob said as he nodded to himself. “Where’s Charlie, anyway?”
“He got restless and started wandering around.” Nick answered. “I hope he doesn’t scare someone by accident. He’s still in costume!”
Just as Nick finished saying that, Linh could be heard down the hall letting out a short and loud yelp.
“Too late. I think Linh just ran into Charlie.” Cynthia did her best not to giggle at the mental image, but she stopped altogether when Linh showed up at the doorway. With her blonde wig, pink dress, and a touch of makeup, she looked like a real princess. Standing behind her was Charlie, fully in costume as the yellow-scaled, spike shelled, king of the Koopas.
“I see you’ve met Charlie.” Nick said as he covered his mouth, stifling his giggling.
“H-hey! Anyone would be scared if they stepped out of the bathroom and came face to face with Bowser himself!” Linh rebuked as her face turned red.
Charlie gave a gruff chuckle. “If I can scare you that easily, then the kids watching the show should be no problem. But I have to say, for a second there, I thought you were Cynthia.”
“I know, right?” Cynthia scanned Linh from top to bottom with her eyes. “It’s like looking at a mirror! I told you this would work!”
“So you know how this is going down, right?” Rob asked Linh.
“Yeah, we’re cutting right to the final fight at the top of Bowser’s castle. Charlie’s going to be riding around in the Koopa Clown Car with me inside as a hostage. He’ll ride around attacking you by throwing his minions and bowling balls at you. You throw those back at him and he’ll retreat into his car, giving me a chance to help you by throwing a super mushroom. Do this for three times and then Charlie spins out of control and off stage, but not before I get freed and escape with you.”
“Yeah, that’s…that’s exactly how it’ll go.” Rob looked impressed with Linh’s answer.
“See? She’s got this!” Cynthia added.
“Cynthia’s right, we’ll get through this!” Nick nodded in satisfaction. “Cynthia, since you can’t play the role of Peach anymore, I’ll have you act as the MC instead. Get the kids excited and guide the show along.”
“Okay, but I’m gonna need a chair. My ankle is still sprained.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll have that arranged for you. Alright people, break a leg!”
Everyone in the lounge gave a hearty cheer before making their exit. Charlie shuffled his way out with Rob right behind. The remaining staff helped Cynthia as she limped her way along. Linh followed behind Cynthia with Nick behind her. Everyone stopped in front of the door separating the employee area and the store floor. Sitting near the exit was the Koopa Clown Car, only it was on wheels now. Cynthia took a deep breath.
“Alright, let’s do this!” She gave the door a push and made her way onto the shopping floor, still being helped by the staff. There was a stage set up with several rows of seats lined up. Kids were clamouring around the video games section to check out the newest releases for the holiday season. Cynthia and the staff made their way to the stage, borrowing one of the folding chairs from the audience section. The staff set up the chair on the edge of the stage and helped Cynthia sit down. They handed her a microphone, turned on and ready to use. Cynthia tapped the mic and started the show.
“Attention boys and girls!” Cynthia’s voice boomed across the P.A. system. “Please make your way to Nintendo’s special presentation stage. The show is about to begin!”
Right on cue, the children swarmed to the stage, filling up the seats in no time.
“To celebrate the release of the Nintendo 64, we have some very special guests for you today! Our first guest is someone I’m sure you’ll all recognize…”
Rob sprinted towards the stage and leapt high into the air before landing right in the middle. He spun and around, faced the audience of kids, and shot his fist into the air.
“It’s-a me, Mario!” Rob had the audience cheering with that single phrase.
“Mario’s travelled far and wide to rescue Princess Peach, and his journey has finally brought him to the top of Bowser’s castle, where the King of the Koopas awaits him.” Cynthia narrated. “It’s time for Mario to face off against Bowser and rescue Princess Peach!”
Suggested music: The Evil King Bowser
Charlie rode the Koopa Clown Car onto the stage with a bellowing laugh. The kids were frightened by his presence and some even screamed. Linh was also in the car, but she was crouched down and hidden from view.
“Watch out, Mario!” Cynthia shouted “He’s going to run you over! Jump out of the way!” Charlie steered the car at a controllable speed straight at Rob, cackling the whole way. Just as Cynthia predicted, Rob sidestepped the incoming danger. He flashed a V sign at the audience and they started cheering for him.
“Now he’s throwing his minions your way! It’s time to fight back, Mario!” On Cynthia’s cue, Linh began handing off plush versions of Bowser’s minions to Charlie. He threw the first one a great distance at Rob with only one arm, and did it again twice more. Rob jumped out of harm’s way and avoided the first two attacks. He intercepted the third and hurled it back at Charlie. The plush bonked him in the head and he roared in pain.
“Wow, you’re really selling this.” Linh whispered.
“Oh my, is that Princess Peach being held captive by Bowser?” Cynthia asked the audience. “It looks like she’s trying to help Mario!”
“That’s my cue!” Linh popped up from hiding with a super mushroom in her arms. “Help me, Mario!” She cried as she threw the mushroom at Rob. Charlie pulled her back down into hiding as Rob caught the mushroom. The power-up sound effect played and Rob flexed and gestured as if his power was amplified, getting the crowd to cheer more.
“Keep fighting, Mario!” Cynthia shouted. The audience echoed her words. Charlie turned the car around and aimed at Rob again. Rob rolled out of the way and grabbed another plush. He took aim, but had to dodge out of the way again to avoid being run over. He took aim a second time and fired. Rob landed a direct hit on Charlie, and once again he roared in pain.
“Damn, you do a good roar!” Linh commented.
“Princess Peach! Mario needs your help again!” Cynthia announced.
“Here we go again!” Linh emerged from the car with a Nerf throwing missile in her hand. A big piece of cloth was tied to the tail of the missile. “Mario! Take this!” She threw it at Rob and ducked back down again. “The princess never threw cape feathers, though.” She muttered to herself. Rob grabbed the missile and untied the cape from it and around his neck in a flash. The children cheered as the red plumber donned his familiar cape. Rob acted like his movements became much faster and smoother, just like the cape acted in the game. He leapt over to the last enemy plush lying about, picked it up, wound up his arm for a devastating pitch. Charlie revved the car and charged ahead, fast enough to look threatening but slow enough to remain safe.
“Okay, on my signal, you unlock the back and jump out. Rob’ll catch you…hopefully.” Charlie whispered to Linh. She gawked at Charlie, unsure of how to respond to the last part of his instructions. But there was no time. Rob sidestepped the car and whipped the plush at Charlie full force, landing behind the car. It nailed him in the head and howled like he was dying. That was the signal for Linh to jump out the back. She unlocked the back and leapt out to Rob, his arms wide to catch her. Charlie steered the car off the stage ramp and towards the staff area while still belting out his death roars. Rob caught Linh, cradled her in his arms like a real princess.
Suggested Music: Ending Theme
“Mario did it! He saved the princess!” The children cheered as Cynthia made her announcement. Linh waved to the crowd before Rob helped her back down to her feet. They both stood there and kept waving. “Mario’s adventure is over for today. But you can join him on a new adventure in Super Mario 64!” Cynthia pointed to the video games section of the store. While the show was going, the staff installed several Nintendo 64 demonstration setups where the kids could try the game out for free. Many of them rushed over to get their hands on the demo. Some lingered behind with their parents, wanting to meet the actors up close and shake their hands. Linh and Rob obliged. Charlie did as well, after returning from the staff area. The kids took turns shaking the actors’ hands and even took photos with them, courtesy of the store staff. Afterwards, everyone had their turn trying out the new Mario game, the hours flying by in a flash.
Suggested Music: Quiet Talk
In the staff lounge, all the actors put up their feet and relaxed. They had all changed out of their costumes and back into their regular clothes. Rob cleaned up from looking like a plumber and changed into a tailored suit. Charlie, unsurprisingly, turned out to be a large and imposing-looking man, which was immediately subverted by the ugly Christmas sweater he was wearing. Cynthia and Linh chatted together, noting how well Linh was able to go with the flow. Nick waltzed in with a smile beaming on his face.
“The show was a success! The children had a great time and the reviews from the parents were fantastic! Good work, everyone!” The staff and actors all applauded at the news. “For the store staff, you’ll all be receiving a small bonus on your next paycheque. For the actors, you’ve already been paid. And for our last-minute replacement, as promised, the staff reserved a Nintendo 64 for you and you’ll get it for half price.” Everyone clapped as Linh bowed sheepishly.
“I hope we can meet again someday.” Cynthia said to Linh. “You were a real pleasure to work with.”
“Thanks, I feel the same way.” Linh answered. “I had a lot of fun to…” Her voice trailed off as her eyes wandered to the clock. “Ah, shit! I can’t believe it’s this late!”
Meanwhile, at the dog training centre…
“Aunt Linh sure is late” Phuong said as she stared out the entrance doors.
“Something important must have come up.” Trieu replied from his chair as Johann napped in his lap.

Discovering why the Dreamcast is so loved
I don't know if my growing nostalgia or my impossible love for gaming, but over the past few years, I've been aggressively collecting older games, consoles, and accessories. Be it picking a game up from a pawn shop, garage sale or off Ebay, I always keep an open eye out for anyone letting go of their collection. I do, however, more than just collect, I actually play the games I find. From start to finish, I revisit each classic title, traveling back to the past, revisiting my childhood.
As my collection expanded, my eyes slowly wavered towards systems I never experienced growing up. Now previously I was always more of a Nintendo guy up til the point when the devilish sexy PlayStation released, tempting its way into my heart. Sega though was always on the sidelines. Early 2000 when the PlayStation 2 was on the verge of releasing, I was beyond hyped. So blown away, that my young, feebled, teenager mind completely forgot about the short-lived Dreamcast. How could I not? Let's be honest here, the PS2 was a behemoth for its time. Considered to be cutting edge tech, that not only played next generation of games, like Onimusha, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Devil May Cry but you could also play DVDs. It was easy, by a mile, the most desired system for its time.
So here I find myself, decades later, older, wiser reflecting back on previous console generations. I delved into research towards what system I should invest in next. Through my hours of pondering, I constantly kept reading about how the Dreamcast is the system to get. The praise for the last Sega console is found all across the internet. As I began to dig deeper into this mysterious world that the Dreamcast was, I had little clue that I was about to fall into the rabbit hole.
Discovering how the Dreamcast is so much more than a collecting piece.
On the surface, the Dreamcast doesn't appear anything remarkable, It's specs have it as the weaker system of Sixth generation. It life span was short lived, it had limited software support from studios, making for a sparse selection of games. It's not till you start to peel back the first few layers, do you start to discover the Dreamcast true beauty. Like a bottle of wine, with age, it continues to refine, becoming better.
When I first picked up the Dreamcast almost a year ago, the first thing I did was take it apart, clean it, giving it a fresh coat of paint. It was then I started to first dig into the many online communities around the Dreamcast. Surprisingly, there were still active communities to be found. Each displaying this immovable love for the Dreamcast, how people displayed their collections and modifications they accomplished with pride.
As I started to collect a few games, is when I discovered a long lost flavor to gaming. The Dreamcast had this sort of Japanese Funk vibe to it. Games like Jet Set Radio, ChuChu Rocket!, Space Channel 5, Samba de Amigo, and who of course could forget the most bizarre title of them all, Seaman. These are just a small handful of colorful and funky games, that you do want to crank the music up for. You really do get a strong sense of heavy Japanese development and influence for the Dreamcast library, which I personally found very refreshing compared to today's modern titles.
One thing that caught my attention, unintentionally and I have to admit, I really knew very little about it, but as I was playing Jet Set Radio, there was this section in the menu, where you could create and share your graffiti tags online.
Online.
It caught me completely by surprise. A system that debut back in 1998 had online features baked in, no special service to pay for to unlock, or accessory you had to buy to slide into the system. No, the Dreamcast from the get go was ready for the internet. Now I did know that the system had phantasy star online, but I really didn't expect so many titles to actually feature any online offering at all. So for Jet Set, while small use of online, had taken me by surprise.
So I dug feather into this wonderful rabbit hole and discovered that not only that the Dreamcast had grand schemes for online gaming, they even had an upgrade accessory, a broadband adaptor. Released back in 2001, Sega already had faster internet speeds in mind. Ok, yes, I'm totally geeking out by that. Sure on the surface, it seems completely irrelevant but the reality was, the Dreamcast was leagues ahead any of its competitors.
That's what continued to fascinate me about the Dreamcast, the more I learned about it, the more it continued to surprise me by how actual future proof it was. Another great example was it's video hook-ups. Now during this point in time. A vast majority of people were using composite cables for their game consoles. If you were lucky, you had S-video cables. Component cables really wouldn't come into play until HD TVs really started to arrive on the scene and for some systems like the Gamecube, had a very limited run for Component cables. So realistically, for most gamers, you'll be waiting for the following generation, PS3, 360, Wii, to actually have support for Component or HDMI.
But when it came to the Dreamcast, it had another Ace up its sleeve. VGA.
Who knew right? It really gives more credit that the Dreamcast basically was a computer, hell it could even run Windows. So having the Dreamcast with VGA support really opened the doors for far better cabling options and giving a far superior image quality to what was available on the market at the time. Sega had several VGA cords and also sold VGA boxes that allowed you use VGA cable but various outputs to be compatible with TV's that didn't have VGA support. By this point, I'm so far deep in the rabbit hole, I had no intentions of looking back up, it was around then I discovered beharbros.com. An entire website dedicated to various VGA boxes to help support any Gamer setup. Such as the Kuro that many hold to be the best VGA box for the Dreamcast, or even the Kenzei model is made just for upscalers, such as the XRGB.
This is a blessing, a major blessing for me. As I'm one of the video purists who go to great lengths to get the best possible image quality. And as anyone who can contest to trying to get the best image from HDTVs today for older systems that had 3D games, such as the PlayStation or N64, really did not age well. Making it damn near unplayable on modern television sets. So to have a VGA box, giving a clean crisp image, that also had a limited library of games that supported 480p. Again, I'm completely taken by the fact that this system had 480p supported games and VGA output.
Then we move on to the controller itself, another piece of gaming history that was ahead of its time. Go head, take a moment to stare at it. Tell me if anything seems similar...
Looking past the open window for the odd memory card with a tiny little screen. The Dreamcast controller pretty much laid out the foundation of what we are gaming on today. It had featured Triggered style R2 and L2 buttons. It had both an analog stick and D-Pad. Pretty much all it was missing was a second analog stick and lose a bit of weight and you would have called it modern. It's no surprise that Microsoft would borrow heavily from the Dreamcast. I mean, Microsoft did help make it. So no surprise that the famous Xbox controller is a striking resemblance of the Dreamcast controller.
By this point, I'm deep in the abyss. The rabbit hole has gone so deep, not even light can reach me now. What else was there to discover? I uncovered so much about the Dreamcast and quickly grew to love its library, appreciate all the effort Sega did to future proof it. I figured this was where my Journey ended.
That was until new games keep being released for it.
My mind was blown, how and why was this even able? Quickly discovering that the drive Sega chose to use for the Dreamcast, GD-Rom, was designed in hopes to help prevent pricey, in reality, it actually did the opposite. Making it a cake walk for people with nefarious plans. Causing the Dreamcast to be an easy target for piracy. So why is any of that relevant? Simple, CD-R, super cheap and readily available, made it simple to make illegal rips on the Dreamcast.
Using the same methods, you could take your own game that you made, and easily burn it to a disk that the Dreamcast can play. Thus - the Dreamcast system keeps on giving. Naturally, the selection of newer games is limited, mostly titles you find off Kickstarter or super niche indie studios, like Retro Sumus and Hucast Games. Still rather impressive for a system that released in the late 90s
After my long and vast journey, I've come to a new appreciation for the Dreamcast. It's a great a system, that really was the last of its kind. With a rich story, interesting titles, and die-hard fanbase. It's sad to see how cruel fate can be, making this Sega last system.

When Chickens Attack
This isnt much of a cheat code. But its a funny easter egg that will make you laugh. In the game you may slash or run threw bushes and find some straw chickens. You might wonder “Why the heck is there a chicken there?” Well, go find a chicken. There is one in a little fence by the fortune teller’s house near the village. Go by the chicken and slash it over and over again. Dont stop other wise this will not work! After maby 15 seconds maby even a half a minute a swarm of chickens will swoop in and start attacking you! If you try slashing then it will be useless. You CANNOT attack these poultry. But its funny to watch a swarm of chickens come in and kill you. That way you can be walking up to your friends saying “I got killed by chickens” Over and over. And its a great way to cheer you up when your stuck on a level of the game. (This cheat is enabled in so far any zelda game like OoT and the nes zelda game im not sure if there are chickens in the windwaker game).

In the dark world, there is a shop with an arrow on it and a guy lets you shoot 5 arrows for 20 rubies. The first shot is worth 4 the second is 8 and son on until the 5th is 64. but if you miss a shot you start over at 4. Great place to get money and skill.
Skull Stones
If you move next to a skull stone(dark world) it will turn white for a second and come alive and start chasing you. They take one heart away. They take 2 hits with the hero’s sword and 1 hit for the other swords. Some of them don’t do that but most of them do.

In the village, you can find an old lady sweeping in front of her house. Use the magic powder to turn her into a fairy. If you enter her house and come back out, the lady will be back. So you can turn her into a fairy over and over again.

You have to break the mask on the big boss by throwing bombs to it or hitting it with the magic hammer. Attack the green spot with your sword until he falls. When you kill the monstrosity you get a magic crystal with a captive maiden inside. (In the Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker the giant bird is the Helmasaur King.)
Boss 4: Agahnim
To beat Agahnim you have to hit the energy balls with the Master Sword back at him. But watch out! When Agahnim moves to the top of the room usually he is going to send thunder at you. Stand in any corner to avoid it. Also something that looks like an energy ball from Agahnim but is really a bunch of small blue fireballs that you can easily dodge. Right before you beat Agahnim he will flee and transport you into the Dark World.
Boss 3: Moldorm
To beat Moldorm hit it in the tail with the whirling blade attack six times. Sounds pretty easy, huh? Well watch out because Moldorm could knock you of the edges or in the middle. Kill Moldorm to get the Pendant of Wisdom.
Boss 2: Lanmalos
There are three Lanmalos underground. When they come up you can use the whirling blade attack, ice rod or the arrows in the head to kill them. Once you have killed them you will get the Pendant of Power.
The Golden Bee
Since you can’t get the golden bee from the dude in a shop which I can’t find and your going to need the pegesus shoes with the bug-catching net. Go to the ice rod place and go into the door that you didn’t blast go inside. Go up into the next room and charge with the pegesus shoes into the fairy statue and a golden bee will appear. Catch it with the net. Golden bees never leave the screen unless you let it go in a bosses lair and it can’t attack the boss. For faster results use the flute if you have it and go to area 8 and go up till you get where I said. Then do the same thing.
100 Rupees For A Bee
First get the golden bee. Then go to Kakariko village release the golden bee near the man who gave you the first bottle and he’ll say he’ll buy the bee for 100 rupees. Then shoot five red rupees out. Don’t worry about the bee it reappears in the ice rod place.
