Last Solstice - Azriel x Reader, Eris x Reader
Summary: Last Solstice you had been ready to give Azriel your heart, only to stumble upon him and Elain in a near kiss. This Solstice, you’re ready to give your heart to someone else, someone special—your mate, Eris Vanserra.
Warnings: some angst, happy ending
A/n: Based on THIS request !! This was so fun to write !! Hope you guys enjoy this Christmas present 🎄☃️
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
You had first met Feyre at her art studio, after attending a few lessons. The two of you had been quick friends and it wasn’t long before she started inviting you to her family get togethers.
Which is where you met Azriel, the Shadowsinger. One drunken night at Rita’s had ended with the two of you tumbling into bed together. What started as a one time drunken decision soon led to another night in the shadowsinger’s bed, sober this time.
When you and Azriel had started sleeping together, he had made you promise him to keep it between the two of you. You didn’t question it at first. Azriel was a private person; he’d never been forthcoming about his lovers in the past, according to Feyre. You figured eventually, if things lasted, he would want to tell his family, your now friends. You’d want to tell them too.
But then a few months went by.
A year.
As more time passed, you began to feel deeply for Azriel and wanted to take your relationship to the next step. To be able to loudly proclaim your love to him. To go on dates in public. To finally tell your family. But every time you asked him about it, he always said the same thing. He wasn’t ready, didn’t want the attention that would come with it. So you pushed your own feelings down and tried to pretend you were still okay with the arrangement you two had.
A secret love, only ever together once night fell.
It didn’t help that Elain Archeron seemed to be smitten with him, seemed to follow him around like a little puppy. You didn’t miss the looks she sent his way, didn’t miss the way she’d brush up against him at every chance she got. But you couldn’t say anything, not when Azriel wanted to keep things so private. So you sucked it all up for him, no matter how much it bothered you.
But when Solstice came around, you decided you’d finally confess your feelings for Azriel, would tell him that you loved him and wanted to be with him in all the ways that mattered. You were tired of watching Elain lust after him, tired of not being able to tell your family what was going on.
The entire night, you were buzzing with nerves.
You downed one too many glasses of wine, trying to relax. A part of you was worried about what Azriel would say. Did he love you too? Did he also want to take the next step? Was he finally ready?
You wished you could answer those questions with certainty but there was an ache in your stomach that kept screaming that something was…wrong.
You tried to convince yourself that you were just being paranoid when you noticed Azriel staring at Elain with longing and desire. Tried to convince yourself that he stayed isolated by the doorway because he hated Lucien and not because he couldn’t stand to be in a room with Elain while Lucien was here.
After all, he was in your bed most nights. Surely if he wanted Elain, he wouldn’t be stringing you along. Azriel wasn’t like that. He was a good male, a respectable male…right?
Later that night, you paced in the guest room you were staying in as you waited for Azriel. He was taking longer than normal and that had you even more on edge. You bit your lip, running a hand through your hair. Everyone else had retired for the night already and usually he would’ve snuck into your room by now.
You couldn’t sit still, couldn’t take the anticipation so you left the room, heading towards the kitchen for a glass of water to try and deal with your nerves and the alcohol still swirling in your system. You froze at the top of the stairs, blood draining from your face.
There was Azriel.
And Elain.
Inches from each other as Azriel draped a necklace around her neck.
She pivoted in his grip, twisting to face him. You saw it then. The look of affection and longing clear as day on Azriel’s face as he gazed down at her. A look he had never given you. Your heart snapped into pieces in your chest, nausea rising in your stomach. A hand flew to your mouth to quiet any noise you might make.
You took a step back.
Another.
And collided with a hard chest. You whirled around, trying to blink away the tears still forming in your eyes, to see Rhys standing there. He stared down at you, his expression melting into one of concern as he noticed your upset face.
“Y/n?” he murmured. “Are you okay?”
“F-fine,” you choked out. “I’m fine.”
And then you brushed past him and nearly ran to your room, quietly shutting the door behind you before taking in quick breaths. Elain and Azriel were just friends, you tried to convince yourself even though your heart and mind were screaming otherwise.
You heard Rhys stop on the landing on the stairs just as you had. A second went by and you heard his retreating footsteps to his office.
You cracked open your door a bit, against your better judgment, only to see Elain rush by, distraught. Your eyes widened and you waited a breath to see if Azriel was following after her, but no one else came by.
You wiped the tears on your cheeks and quietly stepped in the hallway.
Every instinct was screaming at you to go to Rhys’s office, as if something inside of you knew what you’d find. The pressure in your head was so strong, your stomach turning over itself again and again, and you knew you couldn’t ignore the gut feeling.
You crept along the wall, silently, just as Azriel had taught you, until you heard voices. You paused in your tracks, listening in.
“...about to kiss Elain, in the middle of a hall where anyone could see you,” Rhys snarled. “Including her mate.”
“What if the Cauldron was wrong?”
That was Azriel’s voice. You covered your mouth with a hand, every nerve in your body lit up. You felt stuck in a nightmare, a terrible dream.
“What of Y/n, Az?”
Your heart froze at the mention of you.
“What about her?”
The nonchalance in Azriel’s voice caused a new wave of nausea.
“Don’t play stupid,” Rhys snapped. “I’ve seen the two of you sneaking off together.”
Silence for a moment. “It’s just sex.”
You weren’t sure your heart could break more, but it had and it did. Ripped and smashed and crumbled into dust. Just sex? Just sex? It had never been just sex to you! It certainly never seemed that way.
“Does Y/n know that?”
“What are you trying to say?” Azriel growled. “We’re just friends. I don’t care about Y/n…not like that. Not the way I care about Elain.”
You backed away, unable to listen to anymore of it. You felt drunk as you stumbled back to your room, your vision blurry with the tears in your eyes. It felt like the whole world was collapsing, like you had just found out everything in your life had been a lie. In a way, you had.
Azriel had never once made it seem like this was some friends with benefits situation. Not once had he ever told you he only saw you as a body to use for pleasure and nothing more, nothing deeper.
You had fallen for him. You thought he had fallen for you.
Gods, you were so stupid. Of course, he wanted Elain. Soft, sweet Elain. His opposite, a proper lady in waiting. You had let yourself be blinded by your feelings for him and now you were paying the price. You stumbled into your room and fell on your bed, erupting into quiet sobs.
Everything made sense now. Keeping it a secret so Elain would never know, so you wouldn’t ruin his chance with her. But why had he pretended to like you? Why would he do that to you?
He made you feel special but now you realized you had just been a shoulder to cry on and a distraction for what his heart really wanted.
You had been so ready to give Azriel your heart…you already had. But he didn’t want it. He didn’t want you.
Azriel never came that night.

Happy Christmas, I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you", I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
You wished you could say that is where the story ended. But evidently, you were a fool. Because you let him back into your bed a few days later—didn’t speak a word of your feelings for him or what you had heard.
You wished you had more dignity, wished you could tell him to get lost. But you loved him.
Two more months went by before you finally pulled yourself together, tried to muster up the will to leave. You deserved better. You deserved someone who loved you and wanted you. You were tired of being second place to some other girl, tired of being a consolation prize.
You were worth more than that.
You reached out to a childhood friend who had moved back to Autumn, asking to move in with her for some time as you got your life together. The next day, your apartment was emptied and you were gone.
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give it to someone special

“Which ones would you say are your favorite?”
You jumped slightly, clutching a hand to your chest. You looked towards where the deep voice had come from and nearly stumbled back. Eris Vanserra was standing beside you, hands clasped behind his back, a half smirk on his handsome face.
He was dressed in a fine deep green coat and a white tunic, the top buttons undone to showcase the gold jewelry dangling from his neck. His red hair was tousled, likely from a recent horseback ride and his amber eyes were gleaming with a small flame.
“H-high Lord,” you gasped, starting to courtesy but he shook his head before nodding towards the flower cart you were working at.
“Which flowers are your favorite?” He asked again, a hint of amusement in his voice at how flustered he had made you.
You blushed a light pink, turning your gaze back to the many bouquets you had for sale. You figured he was buying some flowers for a lady in his life.
“Well, um, what’s the occasion?” You asked, fiddling nervously in his presence. He smelt like wildfire and cinnamon—it was intoxicating.
“I am taking a girl out on a first date tonight,” he said, his voice smooth like whiskey. He gave you a charming, fox-like smile. “I wanted to bring her flowers. I figured no one would have better taste than the flower cart girl herself. So which do you recommend?”
You bit your lip, looking at the many flowers. “Well, I’d say roses but that’s a bit cliche. Our orange and red carnations are usually favored by the ladies of this court. Perhaps a bouquet of those?”
“Are those your favorite? The carnations?”
You peered at him. He was focused on the flowers, rubbing a thumb against his bottom lips. You had seen Eris Vanserra at his coronation, but only from afar. He had been striking then. But this close, well, he was stunning, beautiful.
He glanced down at you, raising an eyebrow and you remembered he had asked you a question. You cleared your throat.
“No,” you answered. “My favorite are the fire lilies but they are not as popular.”
“I’ll take a bouquet of those,” he said with certainty, pulling a pouch of coin from his pocket.
“Are…are you sure?” You stuttered. “Are you certain she will like them?”
“Quite certain, yes,” he answered with another fox-like grin. He set down money on the cart, far more than what they were priced at.
You were quick to bundle up some of the fire lilies, adding a few complimentary flowers to fill in the empty spaces. You rolled them into some brown butcher paper and handed it over to him. “Here you are.”
“So, when and where can I find you tonight?”
“S-sorry, what?”
You looked up at him, eyebrows raised.
“When and where can I find you tonight,” Eris purred, “for our date.”
“Are you…being serious?” You asked, incredulously, because this had to be some sort of joke. The High Lord couldn’t possibly be asking you out on a date.
Eris reached forward with his free hand, grabbing yours and bringing it up to his lips. He pressed a soft kiss on your knuckles. “Indeed, I am.”
Your heart skipped a beat, butterflies swarming your stomach. You hadn’t had such a reaction to a male like this since Azriel. But looking at Eris, you wondered what you ever saw in the dark haired shadowsinger. Perhaps you had never needed shadow. Maybe you had needed…flame.
The next few months were a whirlwind of romance. Despite the reputation Eris had before he had been made High Lord, he had proved himself to be much more soft hearted then his cruel father. You were surprised by his kindness, his devotion and the heart he showed you.
It had been easy to fall in love with him.
So when the mating bond between the two of you snapped into place, it was only the cherry on top.
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover, but you tore me apart
Oh, oh now I've found a real love
You'll never fool me again
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
You were standing on the doorstep of the River House, a place you hadn’t been since that fateful night. You could hear the laughter from the Inner Circle inside. After you had left the Night Court, you had stayed in touch with almost everyone except Azriel. So when Feyre invited you over for Winter Solstice, you couldn’t say no—especially considering it was her birthday.
But you told yourself you wouldn’t stay long. Not when you had a fiance waiting for you back home. You were very eager to get back.
You knocked on the door, listening as the voices quieted down and footsteps approached. The door was pulled open and there was Feyre, dressed in a cozy get-up with a small babe perched on her hip.
“Y/n!” Feyre lurched forward to give you a side hug. You hugged her back, pressing a small kiss to the top of Nyx’s head before handing over a wrapped present. She took it with a smile.
“Happy Birthday,” you sang. “And Happy Solstice.”
“Thank you! I’m so glad you decided to come,” she stepped back, letting you cross into the house.
You hung up your coat and followed her towards the sitting room. You paused for a second, noting Azriel who was lingering in the doorway. You waited for the hurt to wash through you but none came. You felt…nothing. No, gone was the heartache and pain. Where an emptiness had lingered before, a new love filled it. A love so bright and fiery, it burned through everything else.
Your shoulders dropped and you breezed past him with a polite greeting.
You were actually here to make an announcement, before you and Eris were to go public with your engagement to the other courts. You wanted to tell Feyre and Rhys personally before they heard about it from someone else.
You were given a warm welcome and you ignored the feeling of Azriel’s eyes lingering on you throughout the night. Instead, you were content with sitting with Lucien—the only person in this room who knew about your engagement to his brother.
You were surprised to see Elain sat next to him, their hands entwined. You peered at Azriel, making eye contact, but his face was completely unreadable.
A wine glass was shoved into your hands and the night went on. It wasn’t until you made your way to the bathroom that you actually spoke to Azriel.
“Y/n,” he called out from behind you. You turned, watching him approach with his hands held behind his back, shadows swirling.
“Azriel,” you greeted, smiling blandly.
“Feyre told me you moved back to Autumn.” He ran a hand through his hair. “Why did you never say anything before you left? I thought…well—”
He trailed off and you raised an eyebrow at him. “Thought what?”
“Well I thought, maybe, there had been something going on between the two of us,” Azriel said. “But you left so suddenly and without word.”
Why did he care now? Because Elain was with her mate and no longer an option? Regardless, you didn’t care for the reason. You had found a love that transcended the stars and universe. Though you had no ill will towards Azriel, you obviously weren’t going to entertain this conversation.
“Something going on between us?” You questioned. “Az…you know it was only ever just sex, right? I thought…I thought that had been obvious.”
Alright, so maybe you were a bit petty.
“No, you’re right,” he said, awkwardly. “I just thought… well, nevermind.”
You smiled, playing dumb. “Happy Solstice, Azriel.”
He gave you a dip of the head. “Happy Solstice, Y/n.”
With that, you turned on your heel and continued down the corridor. When you got back from the bathroom, you knew it was time to make the announcement and head back home so you could celebrate Solstice with your new family.
You clanged against your wine glass to get everyone’s attention, standing up from your seat. Lucien gave you an encouraging nod that helped settle your nerves.
“I have an announcement to make,” you said before taking the glamour off your hand and revealing the large engagement ring on your finger. You heard several happy gasps of air. “I’m engaged! I wanted to tell you all before you heard through court gossip. You’re looking at the soon-to-be High Lady of Autumn.”
Cheers erupted in the room as most of them had already known about your relationship with Eris. You had told Feyre about it in one of your letters. Luckily, Mor and Eris had settled their differences once he became High Lord and there was now peace between the two courts.
“Oh my Gods! This is so exciting!”
Feyre jumped up and embraced you. You let out a small breath of relief and hugged her back. Once she let you go, some of the others also jumped up to congratulate you.
“When did he propose?” Mor asked.
“Two weeks ago,” you smiled before dropping another bomb. “Right after the mating bond snapped into place.”
“Mates and he’s going to make you High Lady?! Y/n, this is great news!”
It took another ten minutes before everyone settled down after congratulating you and pressing you for more details. You kept your lips sealed though, wanting to keep a few things just between you and Eris.
It was only then you noticed Azriel had disappeared from the room.

You let out a content sigh as you entered the High Lord and Ladys’ chamber, happy to be home. Eris was there, waiting for you with a smile on his face.
You rushed forward and he caught you in his arms, swinging you around. He held you tight against him.
“Don’t ever leave me again,” he whispered into your ear. “Please.”
You giggled, pulling back to look up at him. “I was only gone for two hours!”
He pressed a kiss to your lips. “Two hours too long.”
You shook your head at him, feeling the love and admiration he was sending down the bond. The joy of having you back in his arms. “Don’t worry, I have no plans on leaving now that I’m home.”
His smile took your breath away.
“Good,” he said before lifting you into his arms and carrying you to the bed. You laughed as he tossed you onto the fluffy pillows with a wolfish grin. “Because I have to make up for lost time now.”
“You’re insatiable,” you teased as he crawled over you, kissing your neck and jaw.
“You love it,” he purred, his red hair falling forward to tickle your forehead.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down to kiss him.
“I love you,” you mumbled against his lips.
“And I love you,” Eris said with such honesty, you felt yourself soften underneath him.
You spent the rest of Winter Solstice wrapped up in his arms, the only place you truly felt at home.

omg zombie?? Rotting companion when?? I wonder if he's the slow type or the "I may be decomposing but I can sprint at a full 20 km/h" kind of guy
I luv zombiesss
-andwy tiddy hater
Cw: Heavy angst, obsessive/possessive tendencies, your boyfriend turning into a lovelorn zombie.
Synopsis: Soma, your boyfriend, happened to be the number one gamer in the world due to the fact that nobody could beat him at video games. Nobody except for his Lovely player two who he absolutely adores. One day during a zombie mob flash he sacrificed himself and got bitten in your stead so that you may live another day. Now as time passed, he was set to roam the streets as an undead zombie. Waiting to see you again to ensure that he won’t ever let the both of you be separated again. Not over his half dead body.
☆*:.。..。.:*☆ ☆*:.。..。.:*☆ ☆*:.。..。.:
Soma, your boyfriend, is always so eccentric but sweet at the same time. He’d always make sure to mark down your important days on his calendar just to make sure he never misses a moment in his darling’s life. Which is everyday, from the moment you wake up down to the moment you close your eyes goodnight.
The Pro Gamers journal is filled with borderline obsessive scribbles of him recording the way that you sleep. And listing a bunch of observations about how adorable you looked curled up or sprawled out like a starfish. Not only that he takes the time to analyze and document every bit of your habits as if you he’s a biologist and you happened to be his precious specimen.
Either way no matter if you’re asleep or awake his hands won’t grow tired of drawing portraits of you. Within his sketchbook he used as an excuse to highlight gaming mechanics to his team. He’s pretty freighting when it comes to it, if you ask anyone on his team. They’d tell you to not even try and reach out towards it for a better look, since you get an automatic knee to the face.
“Oh my bad didn’t ya say that you wanted a close up of my combo breaker? Hmm? Not in irl? Well you Shoulda been more specific my guy”
Fast forward a few months, It all happened so suddenly when your part of town got hit with an unknown anomaly from a parasitic animal. That escaped from Devildom into the human realm. Successfully kickstarting a disease which made those who aren’t familiar with its origins. To fall into a frenzied state of loss consciousness and inability to control of one’s body.
During the earliest stages of the infection that spreading through your quaint city. Which was thankfully isolated from the rest to prevent even more of an outbreak. You were on a date with your boyfriend who was such a advocate for being spontaneous. Soma loved to surprise you with fun outings like going to amusement parks, para gliding, bungee jumping, kayaking, you name it.
But this time he wanted to give you a breather and take you on a lowkey cute date at a nearby cafe. Soma had an arm around your hip squeezing it lightly while he leaned against you like an over grown puppy.
“Lovie I’m so lucky to have you~ I don’t ever wanna live a day without being able to hold you, love you, kiss you, n fu—“
“Oh we’re here already! You excited to try out those cute menu items you’ve been fangirling about hun?”
Your boyfriend exclaimed giddily oftentimes having a habit of rambling on about how much he adores you on a daily basis. He went to open the door for you right after pressing a hungry kiss to your lips. It was something he always did before he had to leave your side even for just a brief moment.
Since he was paranoid in the fact that anything could happen to his cherished relationship with you. And he’d rather not it happen without him kissing you one last time.
You guys had just entered the door only to be met with a the rabid eyes and foaming mouths of the former patrons that dined there. It wasn’t any help that this cafe was jammed packed due to their popularity so it’d only take a split second for you to get snatched up by one of the infected standing in line.
You could barely register the way you were shoved out of the store by your boyfriend in an attempt to guard you from being taken by the horde. You stumbled outside the glass doors eyes wide with shock as you witnessed. A different side of Soma that you’ve never seen before, one that had him going batshit crazy.
Seeing how those filthy hands tried to take you away from him. Had him going off on a tangent about how he’d kill them twice over, for even trying to touch a single hair on your head. Claiming how you were his and his only and that nothing on heaven nor earth would change it.
Despite being outnumbered he put up one hell of a fight knocking the parasites down one by one into eventually one of them took a chance to bit his fist that he used to sucker punch their teeth out.
“Man you guys sure are tenacious for a bunch of deadweight…Shit just my luck”
Soma sighed, as if it was only a minor convenience that he’d gotten bitten. But nonetheless he kept letting his fist and legs fly not stopping until every single undead bastard was on the ground. Thanks to his self defense classes in karate.
It was only a matter of time before they got back up again so he turned around to give you a relaxed expression. A bright loving grin on his face as he asked you a simple question. While his veins became more prominent on his skin appearing in an abnormal pigment.
“Would you still love me as a zombie babes?”
You could only sob saying yes frantically as you watched your loved one turn into a different being. At your answer he let out a flippant sigh of relief before continuing to lock himself inside the restaurant. Using the key that was hanging off the hip of an employee he stunned.
“Good, then you’d better watch your back since whether im dead or alive I’d still be crazy in love with you baby.”
The gamer said in a soft tone that had a darkened edge to it, almost as if he wasn’t just trying to lighten up the mood with one of his lighthearted quips. But was issuing you an actual warning to beware of if you ever came across him while he wasn’t in control of himself.
Now go, your eyes should see only good things. And I’m afraid it’s gonna be ugly for me, Ah wait! Before you go…Give me kiss?”
Soma asked with a boyish grin pressing his face against the glass door with his lips puckered. As he waggled his eyebrows at you. It made you pissed off to say the least at how he was treating this a some kind of joke.
But you couldn’t help but notice his body twitching sporadically which was a telltale sign of how anxious he was. How scared he was of losing you. And how terrifying he’d be once he turned knowing that there’d be nothing to hold him back from showing his purest form of love for you.
Your boyfriend was already internally battling the urge to pull you against him. So you’d never leave his sight, that you two would be together forever regardless of death since nothing could ever change the way his heart beats purely for you. So just one more kiss, no matter if There’s a thin glass barrier, he just wants to be close to you, to somewhat feel you before his body shuts down on him.
You scrambled to press yourself against the door your palm on top of his. You gave him one last longing gaze, beforehand pressing your lips against the glass. Not noticing how he was just unblinkingly staring at your reflection. Burning the image of you so deeply into his mind that even if his critical thinking perished he’d never ever forget you even in death.
You were hesitant to leave him wanting to stay until his final hours but he childishly shooed you away. Claiming that he doesn’t want you to see him become an uggo version of himself. Since glowing down in front of his beau would be immensely embarrassing. He couldn’t help but feel a cruel twist of satisfaction seeing your reluctance to leave his side and those pretty eyes of yours welling up with tears meant only for him.
“We’ll meet again soon Lovie, mark my words, if you think I’d ever leave you alone then you’ve got another thing coming… So make sure to do your best until I come to make you mine once more permanently”
A few days later, the infection took hold of him but not in a way he was expecting. Sure he may have lost some of his humanity, but for a strange reason. The pro gamer still retained some fragments of his consciousness. His head was pounding from your name, invading his headspace. With every pulse of his brain that was fried at the moment.
Soma chuffed with a crooked grin, as he suspected not even death would take away his inherent need for you. Nor could it ever make it cease to be. He had to find you, sure it was selfish but he can’t stop from obsessing over your very being ingrained in his hazy memory. Where only the images of you were clear as can be.
Breaking the lock with his newly found inhuman strength, he became a half mindless zombie. Who actively searches for his you like a moth to a flame. Tearing everything and anything apart that stands in his way.

Strawberry and Black Tea / Sanji Imagine
Tumblr media
Request: for the fluffy sanji request-- maybe sanji and the reader end up sleeping in each other's rooms one night because its hard for them to sleep apart. reader gives sanji a good night kiss and he just falls into a lovesick puddle on the floor.
Something short and sweet because this idea is so so lovely, thank you anon!! :)
Warning: mentions of child abuse!
(I do not own One Piece or its characters, all rights go to creators. Gif credit goes @suuho.)
☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°
It was the Iron Mask that had left Sanji with such a distaste for the dark.
Even now, lying tossing and turning in his bunk on the Going Merry, the dark starlight that creeped through the lone porthole seemed to do nothing but shroud his eyes in a long-suppressed misery. It reminded him far too much of home. Of his father. Of nights spent trembling in dank corners: nothing but the touch of flimsy cobwebs against his outreached hands, and the ratchet of his own voice cawing off the empty stone chamber to ease the frightened child.
Until his paranoid eyes couldn’t tell of the receding monstrous shadow shrivelling up the tower was the receding form of his father, or the unyielding loosening of shrill’s death fingers rasping uneasily across the stone wall by his cage, finally come to fulfil her promise to take him away.
She grew closer and closer, until her liripipe seemed to crow through the bars as she leant down through the shadows to kiss his forehead.
He started scrambling back desperately along the dirty dust, still too young and inexperienced with the true hardships of his life to try and face them head on. Instead he buried his head into his crossed arms, tried his hardest to calm his panting breath, closed his eyes and squeezed. It was the only way, he thought in that tumultuous moment, it was the only at he would be able to hold onto his sanity. To pretend it was you. To pretend it was you. To believe it was you.
A rat scurried out of a hole between cracked shackles, sniffing the air as it noticed Sanji cowering in the corner: the same boy who had showed the rodent such kindness only e weeks before, feeding it leftover scraps of his mother’s favourite crumble, trying his best to clear the dish before his father realised it was missing. The poor thing ran over to Sanji’s shoe, it’s tiny claws pinching into the forgotten prince’s skin as it raised its little body up closer to him. But to that child - oh, that poor child - it was like bony fingernails biting into his bone and extruding coarse chills straight to the bone.
She had come. The wrong person had come. So he did what any young child would do. He started screaming.
He screamed your name. He screamed for his ma, until the screams died, choked by the wails sticking in his throat. Then he whimpered, clawing at the metal screwed against his cheeks until his fingernails were left stunted, jagged, bloodied.
He thought about how alone he was, but realised quickly that wasn’t what made him so sad. He thought about you: how you would react, how heartbroken you would be when his father announced to the world that the young Prince has perished in a terrible accident. He imagined your tear streaked face as you would watch the faux funeral procession parade in a cheerful solemnity down past the main market and into the sea, stealing away into the alleyway and seeing how alone you were.
Most of all, he felt guilty. Guilty that this was all his fault. That he had proved his brothers right. He was weak. He had destroyed his mother. He had ruined you. He was weak. And so he crumpled into a ball, falling onto his side and allowing the sweet embrace of the shadows to lap over him.
His cries had quickly fallen into pitiful whimpers. Then quiet sobs, jolting his body forward in convulsions that had left him gasping for breath every few minutes or so, only broken by the almost angelic sound of the iron wrought door being shoved unsteadily open, and the pained whisper from the top of the stairs. ’Sanji? Sanji! Where the- ow- are you?!’
'Y/-Y/n?' He clambered to his knees, and shoved his arms desperately through the bars, as if he could levitate you down towards him. 'I'm here! I'm here - please! Y/n!' His little fists began to bang on the bars as he scraped up to lean on his knees. 'Help me - get me out, please! She's going to kill me!'
It took you less than thirty seconds to scale down the remaining steps, nearly flying chin first down into the dirt. You didn't care though: not when Sanji's fingernails sliced desperately into your skin and burrowed into the meat of your arm, tugging your forehead against the cool metal of his own. You did your best to cup his face between the clunky mask, pressing your fingers down to his neck and pulling him even closer to you. 'It's alright - it's alright. I'm here. I'm going to get you out of here, Sanj. We're going to run, we're going to get away.'
He refused to let you go, even as you bit your lower lip in concentration and wiggled into your pocket to pull out a stash of bobby pins you had pilfered from Vinsmoke Reiju when you had slipped into the castle. Poor Sanji nearly flies backwards onto his behind when you finally manage to click the locked gate open, yet the realisation hardly seems to dawn on him; he's leapt on you in a second flat, knees knocking the wind out of your stomach as he tumbles his torso against your awaiting hug.
'You came', he heaved out between sobs, shoving his grimacing face into the throbbing pulse point on your neck, 'you came back for me... why would you come back for me.'
The absolute dejection in the final warble of his desperate plea made you bite down on your tongue so harshly, you had to shove it against the roof of your mouth for a moment to stop yourself from spluttering on blood. 'Because, Sanj... because you're my best friend. And I love you. And we made a promise, didn't we? We're going to go find the All Blue, but we're only going to do it together. Not one without the other, right?'
He head bobs quickly, desperately. Shaking fingers latch tighter into your back, and although he wants nothing more than to grab onto your fingers and fly to freedom up that winding staircase, he slides his legs to the side and comes to sit awkwardly on your lap like a frail bird. The soft tip of his nose tickles the shell of your ear as he whispers: 'like black tea and strawberry?'
You snort, but nod your head against the side of his curls, tightening your grip around the shaking expanse of his spine. 'Yes chef, like black tea and strawberry. Even though that sounds absolutely disgusting.' His laugh- god, his laugh was so warming, even if the sound cracks, hoarse and low as his face balls up. What was less welcome, though, were the few pearly tears that slipped past the cracks slats covering his eyes and began to trace down an old bruised hollow that lay sharp and gaunt on his neck.
'I'm sorry- I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry-', he starts to panic again, one eye blinking open as he stares into the inky depths of the umbral shade gathering over your heads. 'This is my fault. It's my fault we have to leave.'
'No.' You grab onto his shirt, nearly making him wince, but both of you refuse to unlatch from the other. 'No. This is not your fault. This will never be your fault, and I don't want you to think that for a second.'
The authoritativeness behind your shaking words was almost enough to make him believe you.
He nods slowly, but you can tell he's doing it just to placate you. 'I love you too, by the way', he sniffles, finally leaning back enough so he could wipe what he deemed as an unsightly amount of snot away from his nose. More than you know. More than he could even put into words. More than his young, frightful heart could even yet understand. He's too bashful to look you in the eye, instead skimming his eyes quickly over the torn threads of his kneecap, but finally allowing himself a respite of calm in the knowledge that the love he had been so desperately begging for hadn't abandoned him.
Before the adrenaline could rush out of his body, he leant forward with his head still bowed, and kissed your cheek as best he could in the darkness.
You hadn't left him. You hadn't: you never would. The revelation seems to shift the world around him, coaxing him into believing the sweet twilight sleeting across his eyes was sunlight instead; even though he still felt like his life was spent as a coin flipping through the air, so unsure of where it will land - of where it belongs - of the choices it will wrought, it felt a little easier afterwards, knowing he would eventually land. That it was your hand that would catch him.
He still hated the dark. And he still loved you more than life itself. Which is why you weren't surprised to find yourself running around your room at nearly one in the morning, trying your best to discreetly gather your bed sheets and sneak off towards the boy's cabin.
Before you could even finish gathering your pillow into your arms, the melodic rapt of Sanji's knuckles had rung out through the door. It took you less than thirty seconds to slide across the planks and fling it open, but it took the poor chef a lot longer to catch his breath and try to look more put together; he was doing his best to look suave by the way he was leaning his elbow against the doorframe, but the wind swept hair gave away the fact that he had come running over the side of the ship to get to you. The soft pant of his breath, the ruddy cheeks, the slight spasm of his abdominal muscles through his half-unbuttoned dress shirt, the scratch of his teeth against his inner lip line: you knew his tell-tale sings, his idiosyncrasies far too well. The man was flustered beyond belief, even if he did his best to cock his head and beam down at you.
What really gave it away - what really, really gave it away, though, was the fact that he literally had to clasp his hands together in front of his chest and wring them to stop them launching forward and grabbing onto you with the cloying, overwhelming power of eight octopus tentacles.
You almost have to shove your hand against your mouth to stifle your laugh at the way he flicked his head back to move the hair away from his eye: to anyone else, it would have seemed like an innocent tick. But he knew, and more importantly you knew too, that it was just so his glistening eyes could wander across your face, as if the lines and marks of your face mapped out the most beautiful treasure in all the seas.
'Well, my strawberry, I hope I didn't wake you from your beauty sleep. Not that you need it! But I, I was hoping, if you were to grace me with such luck, that I may come in-'
Before he can even finish, you've grabbed the knot of his tie and have hauled him across the door line like a fisherman reeling in his hook. Sanji goes flying, landing safely in your open arms, and flopping his back down pleasantly into your hammock. Sanji's eyes widen as he comes sliding down the material towards you, headfirst, stopped only when his chest does the job for him. His arms thump clumsily around your back, using his fall as an excuse to pull you as physically close to him as he can. He huddles up against you, his hand spreading across your shoulder blade and guiding your ear down to rest comfortably just above his right pec. You flush, pretending you don't feel the firm ripple of his tense muscle: don't hear the pounding shudder of his tell-tale heart.
'I'll take that as a yes, ma chérie.'
Distracted by the way your arm falls around his stomach, idly reaching up to curl back the stray edges of his fringe behind the corner of his eye again, his legs inch closer... and closer... and closer... until his left one has plunked down above your own. You have to bury your head into his neck to stop yourself from laughing at how incarnadine his face spreads, warm pink waves radiating off his cheeks as you lift up your knees and slide your free leg in between the heavy weight of his thighs. Bless his heart, it must have taken some exertion to hold it the way he did, making sure not to place his full weight on you, but just enough that the contact was physically there.
'You know', Sanji starts, once he has calmed his heart from beating so rapidly he feared it may have flopped out through his throat, 'Zeff used to give me a kiss goodnight.'
You lift your head to stare at him incredulously. 'No he didn't. I was there for only... uh...', you lift the arm hanging over the soft skin of his bellybutton to ostentatiously count on your fingers, waving them in front of his face. 'Hm, look at that - fifteen years!?'
He leans his head down until his chin is tucked into his neck, and does his best to try and hide the way his lips are warbling into a grin; he tries to play it off as him finding your antics amusing, as he strokes his fingers tenderly over the warm cotton on your shoulder, but inside he's just so beyond giddy to know that you remembered. To know that you had been together so long. To know that after all this time, after all the two of you had been through, he would gladly dredge through the unspeakable caliginosity again, if it meant he could always arrive at this moment. If it meant, no matter what his life threw at him, he could spend every moment of it by your side.
Even if the shadows are juddering up the walls of the girl's cabin too: even if your stroking fingers can't mask the memories of death's sharp knuckles stretching out across the walls. Even if he were to land, right now, in the waves: if he were to capsize and drown, he would be happy. He would be happy, because it was your hand instead. Your hand.
Too timid still, too apprehensive to admit that which had been a heavy weight holding down the flight of his sweet heart, he hides his love behind canorous tease.
'Yeah, well, Zeff did it when he could be arsed. Which I’m pretty sure was never.'
You snort, and he delights at the sound that he had drawn out. His vice like grip on your side tightens, but you decide better than to tease him for the way he begins squirming himself against you. He finally settles properly on his side, the bridge of his nose so dangerously close to yours that you can feel the shallow warmth of his breath brush over your bottom lip.
'Well-', he starts, trying to distract himself from your proximity. He was failing horribly, of course, because his eyes kept falling down to stare blankly at the seam of your lips. 'This does sure beat sleeping on the dungeon floor, even if we do have to put up with Luffy's snoring.'
'Hm, the dungeon wasn't too bad. Cosy', you say teasingly, letting your finger dance down the shell of his ear, pointing the tip against the jut of his chin and lifting his gaze with a smirk.
'How'd you figure that, sweetheart?' The feel of your finger against his skin, no matter how miniscule the touch, was enough to make the fibres of his body burn with such a want that it almost scared him.
'Because... it was the first place you ever kissed me.'
Sanji starts, eyes widening as he feels his limbs turn to stone.
He can't hide in the shadows anymore. Now, he has to come into the light. Has to let himself be free.
'Yeah, well strawberry', he wets his bottom lip with a dart of his tongue, and folds himself further down the hammock so his knees are drawn warmly up against your own. The shaking of his torso is only overshadowed by the widening of his eyes, so full of deep wonder the dams might have burst and drowned you if he hadn't spent so years cautiously restraining himself. You draw a finger down the pulse point of his neck, and he feels that resolve weaken.
He feels like that frightened boy again, but he knows it has to be now. He knows he's been lucky to have had the luxury of borrowed time, but the bell has tolled: the bill has come due, and now he must admit the truth of his life - of his soul - of his heart, for he doesn't know when it will become too late.
He wanted to kiss you. God, he had wanted to kiss you so badly for fifteen years it hurt. Now, now he was going to create his own light: he was going to thrive, in spite of it all. He was going to allow that child to live. The cage was open. He was free. His choices were decided by nobody now but by his own ruling, his own compassion, and he had wasted far too many years training himself to be sceptical, precise, composed.
'... If you may be so kind as to permit it... I think this beautiful ship might end up being the second.' He leans his torso forward, and after a bashful burn flickers over his cheeks, he squeezes his eyes shut and plants a wet kiss against your cheek, just like he had done all those years before.
He suddenly becomes hyperaware of it all: of the closeness of your thigh against his own: slick, naked, vulnerable below your pyjama shorts. Your warm breath, inching closer and closer to his trembling mouth as he juts his head back to look warily at you, so afraid he's messed everything up.
But then you surprise him; you rush forward, overwhelming and crushing in the way your lips pliantly slide over his own, licking against the inside of his bottom lip as it drops open, breathlessly.
He had been waiting for this - over and over since the two of you were children. This thought - the idea that he would finally get here was the only thing that had kept him grounded. Kept him sane. And so he kissed you back: heartily, heavily, with a slipping mouth awaiting your tongue, and clawing fingers coming up to rapt into your cheeks as if you were something fleeting: as if he were still spinning in mid-air, waiting for the shadows to snuff the light out again.
When you finally find the strength, the resilience to pull away, neither of you seem to be able to muster the courage to just finally admit the truth you had both always known. Sanji, instead, looks youthfully shy as he tries to hide his wanting - god, so longing gaze behind his fringe once more, although his tongue can't help but prod against his bottom lip as if in disbelief.
'Like strawberry and black tea, right?', he finally asks against the side of your mouth, nudging his nose against your own and smiling fondly.
'Like strawberry and black tea.'

The Avoiding Act
Warnings: unhealthy studying methods, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Avengers x reader platonic
Request: Hey! Can you do MCU x Teen!reader, whose been feeling stressed out lately (I have exams coming up) and she also struggles with mental health. She constantly avoids the team because she knows they'll tell her to sit down and take a break, but one day they forcefully make her sit down and talk to them, and they're all telling her to take it easy and that they believe in her or something, and she's starts tearing up because she's never had anyone tell her reassuring things before she met the team, and one of them (preferably Bucky, Loki, Tony, or Steve) just hugs them? And like they end up watching Disney movies or something, and she falls asleep on Tony or Steve? Thank you!

*not my gif*
Summary: Your team hasn’t really seen you in over a week, and they start to grow worried
A/N: This isn’t my best work- but I don’t think it’s too bad; also I wrote this forever ago and just forgot to publish it
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
You practically had it down to a point by now. You had memorized your entire team's schedule in such a way that you could avoid them perfectly.
Steve was using the training levels at exactly 5:05 every morning, being the first one up- besides you. That was easy, just avoid all of the workout rooms. Bucky was sometimes up at that time as well, but he just stayed in his room.
Up next was Nat and Bruce. Nat would start off her day on the balcony of either her room or the one connected to the living room. Bruce would make a beeline for his lab right away and hide in there for a while. So naturally, you just skipped out on all three of those places.
That’s when it got complicated. The late sleepers were Sam, Tony, and Clint. Meaning, their schedules were unpredictable. But that was only in the sense that you didn’t know which time they would get up. All three of them would head straight to the kitchen as soon as they got up though, so all you had to do was make sure that you weren’t in there any later than 10:00.
That left your room, which you never stayed in because then they would be able to find you, and any other of the many empty rooms left in Avengers Tower.
Some might call you paranoid, but you made sure to switch rooms every two hours, that way you weren’t in one place long enough for them to find you there.
The reason you were avoiding your team?
It wasn’t becuase you didn’t want to see them or loved them dearly, it was simply becuase you needed to study.
To outsiders, that would seem like a weird reason to be hiding from your loved ones, but not when it came to you.
When you studied, you studied.
You hardly ever took breaks- not even to eat and sleep.
And if your team knew this, there wasn’t a doubt in your mind that they would try to make you take a break. To take care of yourself.
You couldn’t have that happening, the biggest exam of the year was in three days and taking a break was not an option.
It was a day like any other in the past week, you were in a random conference room on the seventh floor, going on the eighth day without seeing your team for more than five minutes a day.
Like normal, you were hunched over a textbook, eyes sweeping back and forth along the pages as you eagerly tried to take in any bit of knowledge you could come upon.
It was well past dinner- not that you had eaten other than a granola bar early in the morning before the late risers made it to the kitchen- and your team, six floors up, were sitting around one of the many living rooms.
“So you’re telling me that nobody saw Y/N today?” Steve asked, standing in the middle of the room with his arms crossed over his chest, eyebrows creased with worry.
Clint and Sam shook their heads in sync from their respective positions on the couch in front of him. Bucky, who was leaning up against a wall with his arms crossed, repeated the gesture.
Nat and Tony both let out identical signs at this, the redhead running a hand through her hair.
“It’s been like this all week,” Bruce spoke up, concern lacing his tone, “I’ve hardly seen her for more than two minutes a day. Whenever I try to find her- she’s not anywhere I’d think she would be.”
“Same,” Natasha piped up, “It’s almost like she’s avoiding us.”
“You don’t think… she’s actually avoiding us, do you?” Sam asked, leaning forward in his seat.
Steve ran a hand down his face and sighed, “Why would she avoid us, though?”
Even Tony had the decency not to interject with one of his normal, snide comments. Instead, he announced, “JARVIS, tell me where she is.”
The team's eyes all widened in sync, clearly none of them had once thought of using the AI system to find you.
Instead of boasting about how he was just smarter than they were like Tony normally would, he just kept his lips in a thin, closed line and awaited the answer.
“Miss. L/N is currently occupying conference room number seventy two, on the sixth floor.” JARVIS’s voice rang out through the room, and everyone was on their feet in an instance.
Within the last week, every one of them had gone out of their way to try and look for you, never knowing where you were or if you were alright.
The door to your study room flew open and you let out a small yelp of surprise, jumping at the unanticipated arrival of every member of your team.
It was silent for a moment after they all pushed and shoved past each other to stumble into the room, as you all just stared at each other.
“O-oh, hey guys,” You stuttered, letting out a small, nervous chuckle, “What’re you doing here?”
“Why’ve you been avoiding us?” Sam blurted out without answering your question.
Multiple people face palmed and let out slight groans at his bluntness. Bucky- who was standing closest to him- slapped him upside the head. With his metal hand.
That had to hurt.
The question immediately made you defensive, and you crossed your arms, visually crawling back into your shell.
“I’m not avoiding you,” The words weren’t as firm as you would’ve liked.
“No?” Tony asked with a singular raised eyebrow, “Then why have we only seen you for five minutes in total this week?”
You shrugged, “I’ve been busy!”
“Busy doing what?” Clint prompted.
That was when you fell silent.
Your team didn’t say anything, though. They just kept staring, awaiting your reply.
The silence dragged and dragged, suffocating the room and everyone in it until you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Studying,” You finally said softly.
Another silence followed, but this one was broken by Bruce, “And how many breaks have you taken to take care of yourself?”
They all knew you so well, they knew what your study habits were like. How unhealthy they were.
You shrugged stiffly, moving your eyes to face anywhere but where they stood.
“N/n,” Nat sighed, moving over to you, “You need to take care of yourself. This isn’t healthy.”
Steve moved up beside her, watching as you still avoided looking at any of them, tears filling your eyes, “We only say this because we care about you.”
His words were what finally made the first tear slip down your face.
“I know,” You whispered.
With a sigh, Steve opened his arms and wrapped them around you in a much needed hug.
Almost instantly, you broke down, relaxing in his arms and crying and crying until there were no tears left.
Someone from around you gently moved a piece of hair out of your face and someone else rubbed your back comfortingly.
When you finally opened your eyes, you were surrounded by your team- the people that cared for you more than anyone- who all wore soft expressions.
“Let’s take a break,” Steve whispered, stopping down to place a kiss on the top of your head, “You deserve it.”
Sniffling slightly, you nodded and allowed your team to lead you away and to one of the living rooms.
Tony had announced that you would all be having a movie night and you would be the one to pick what to watch.
Normally, there would be a lot fighting and bickering about what movie- but nobody said a word this time.
Some went off to get snacks- others getting blankets- as you all spread out around the room comfortably.
You ended up between Steve and Nat on the couch, the ladder absentmindedly running her fingers through your hair whilst you picked what you wanted to watch.
In the end, you settled on an old Disney classic, and we’re able to settle in while the opening music began to play.
“Thank you, guys.” You said softly to the room, truly meaning it.
“No need to thank us, n/n. We’re here for you. No matter what.” Steve said from beside you.
By the time the credits rolled around, you were fast asleep, breathing steadily with your head resting against Steve’s shoulder.
Said man smiled down softly at you, making sure to keep his movements to a minimum as you got some much needed sleep, surrounded by your loved ones.

worked on some async today. takes place immediately after tori attempts to turn minato into soup
Tori watched Minato disappear into the water in great satisfaction. She peered over the embankment. Steam clouded her view, but she could see his blue and green uniform under the rolling boil of the river. The bodies of dead minnows bubble up above him.
Then he disappeared.
Tori tensed automatically. She hadn’t caught him dropping any Hiraishin markers anywhere, but ninja were sneaky.
Minato didn’t spontaneously appear behind her over the course of the next minute, and Tori relaxed ever so slightly. A bigger fish came to the top of the still boiling river, its body flipping over and over.
So. Boiling someone alive did not kill them nearly as fast as she had expected. She’d seen various propaganda about Terumi Mei cooking people alive with steam, and that varied from “instant death” if you were pro-Mei, to “incredibly long and painful and cruel” if you were anti-Mei. But Tori had given little weight to the propaganda as actual evidence, aside from that she was positive boiling hot water could kill you.
Hopefully Minato was currently dying of his injuries wherever he had gone. While Tori could not recall any stories about people being boiled alive, but she was something of a connoisseur in bizarre and horrific bodily harm. Sometimes adrenaline was enough to get a ninja through the initial part of receiving a major injury, only to collapse moments later. Tori balled her hands into fists, her fingernails digging into her palms. She hoped his pretty eyes were cooked solid. Then he’d never be able to trick a poor girl’s heart with a pretty face ever again.
On the other hand, given Tori had no real data about boiling people alive, she could be royally fucked if he lived. It occurred to her that he definitely had Hiraishin markers back in the village, and if he had pulled some sort of main character ninjutsu bullshit and was still fighting fit, he could just come back to the river and kill her.
I guess I’ll just lie out my ass again, Tori decided, trying to convince her brain not to panic. She was very obviously just a civilian woman who couldn’t even get her life together to wash her hair properly. She could act hysterical and say the Kumo-nin had told her the trap did something else, or else that she was just trying to protect her home and beg for mercy. It would be humiliating, but while Minato obviously had no qualms about killing ninja without asking questions first, he did seem to want to play nice with civilians.
Also, if he did kill her, probably he would just abandon her body like he had the Kumo-nin. He was unlikely to stick around long enough to figure out Tori’s little problem with dying and attempt to kidnap or question her over.
It’ll fine either way, Tori told herself. She still didn’t go back to the village. Instead, she walked stiffly down the embankment as fast as she could without breaking into a run. She was going to miss the dirty laundry and the cute crab mug she’d left behind, but all her other belongings were in a storage seal, and she didn’t want to risk going back and discovering a pissed off and half-boiled Minato.
Minato did not show to bother her at all that day, as she marched forth in a random direction. He didn’t show up during the horrible three hours of paranoid sleep she got while camping.
When a full twenty-fours passed, Tori finally started to calm down. She’d found a fisherman and convinced him to take her further down the river than she could get walking, and while she wasn’t untrackable, she gained confidence that Minato was at the very least too injured to hunt her down immediately.
She tried to travel deeper into Grass Country as fast as she could, paying for transport more often than she would normally.
Days passed and no news sprang up about the Yellow Flash mysteriously dying, but also there were no new sightings of him. Tori had no way to draw real conclusions from this. Konoha was unlikely to advertise him dying or being grievously injured, but also he was a key player in the war and his enemies would be sniffing around for information like this. That there was no news could mean she’d succeeded, or it could be she’d failed and so there was nothing worth gossiping about.
The lack of knowing what had happen turned to a festering sort of anxiety that kept her up at night and made her head dizzy at random moments. And so, Tori switched up her goals. Even if she’d killed Minato properly, that his body was somewhere where she couldn’t hide what she’d done meant Konoha could potentially track her down. She needed to protect herself more than ever. She holed up in a cheap hotel in the middle of nowhere and spent every waking moment making drafts of seal diagrams and fussing.
How to set up a barrier that could activate faster than a ninja could kill her…? She could paint i directly on her skin, then link its activation to being hit, or to an increase in her heart rate. This would mean she’d inevitably activate it on accident when she walked into a table or got excited about something, but perhaps for now she didn’t care…
Weeks passed. Tori’s anxiety hit a maximum where she didn’t sleep at all one night, and then slowly started to calm. She obtained a raw potato and stuck it in her room’s windowsill to sprout, hoping to use it to add to her chakra phylogeny. She walked into town and stole a library book to try and add to her notes on plant and animal relatedness. She did accidentally activate her seal multiple times, but at least she knew it worked.
Her funds were running dangerously low, and she’d have to move on soon. She started talking to people again, asking about where war refugees in this area were moving to, and if she could join a caravan.
She was organizing her things one evening, preparing to move out the next morning. She’d spread all her various fuuinjutsu and research materials across her bed, and stood over it with her hands on her hips, debating the best way to repack and also, how to best transport a sprouted potato?
She looked up at her window potato, now in a paper cup with dirt. It had grown three alien-looking shoots, jagging out at random angles before reaching towards the window.
Then, as she regarded her potato, a shadow passed over the window. Tori frowned. The window started to move upwards, a hand appearing in the open space, and Tori’s eyes widened.
She panicked, obviously, which activated her barrier. This was still somehow not faster than the Yellow Flash could break into her hotel room.
He was toe-to-toe with her in an instant, kunai in hand. Tori yelped in horror as the barrier flicked up around them, a dark pink bubble that was supposed to keep her safe.
Somehow, Minato looked exactly the same as before, like she hadn’t done her best to turn him into soup.
The barrier pressed him up against her, his chest and shoulders blocking her view of the rest of the room as he boxed her in, and Tori’s back hit the other side of the barrier. Minato's arm was forced forward as he bent over her, and thank God he was competent enough to roll the kunai in his hand so the broadside pressed against her neck rather than the sharp edge. His chin brushed against the top of her head.
Tori wished he smelled bad, so she could find this new predicament gross. Instead, he just sort of smelled like dirt and an inoffensive odor of sweat. His body against hers was also warm and firm and bigger than her in a way she regrettably found she liked.
He also maybe wanted to kill her. She needed to focus on that. The rush of adrenaline and the increase in her heart rate was very confusing in this moment.
“Oh,” he said, sounding mildly surprised but not at all upset. The hand not holding the knife reached around her, knuckles knocking on the barrier next to her head. “Interesting. Well, I still think this is my win.”
What the hell is he talking about? Tori thought. She was sure he could feel her rapidly beating heart, as sure as she could feel his completely steady heartbeat.
Well, if he wasn’t already pissed off, she could test the waters a little to see if she could figure out what he wanted.
“You haven’t won yet,” she said hotly. “What are you going to do? Trap yourself indefinitely in an enclosed space with my corpse?”
He shifted slightly, bringing the kunai away from her throat. He could only pull his head away a couple inches, and he didn’t step back so his body was still pressed against hers, but it was enough distance that she could peer up and see he was smirking at her. His eyes were exactly as pretty as they’d been before.
Oh no, his smirk is hot, Tori thought helplessly, regretting yet again that boiling was a less efficient murder technique than she’d anticipated. Her insides squirmed with some bizarre contradictory emotion. She was terrified, yes, but also she was a little turned on.
Then suddenly they were standing on the other side of the room, near the door. He must have chucked a kunai across the room in the tiny fraction of a moment before the barrier had gone up. The barrier was still in place around them.
Minato’s smirk slipped slightly. Somehow, Tori found his apparent confusion even hotter.
“Oh, did you try to teleport us both out?” she asked, and smooth and coy as she could make her voice given her insides were flipping out in either panic or arousal. “You’re not getting me out of this that easily.”
Minato was outside of the barrier a second later, and the kunai clattered to her feet, undoubtedly scratching up her shoes. He’d left Tori where she stood, with the marked kunai still in the barrier in case he wanted to go back in.
He hadn’t gone far— just back to where he’d stabbed a kunai into the wall over her bed. Somehow, on top of planting multiple kunai and outrunning her barrier, he’d also left her window potato completely untouched. Damn him for being so thorough.
“How’d you do it?” he asked, sounding genuinely curious. His eyes were bright and inviting in a way that made Tori want to answer. Even though he’d literally held a knife to her throat only a moment earlier, he just seemed like he’d be really easy to talk to.
Touché, she thought.
“Do what? This barrier?” she said. “Believe it or not, you’re not the only ninja who wants to kill me. A girl learns to protect herself.”
Minato flopped down to sit on her bed and cocked his head.
“I don’t want to kill you,” he said plainly.
“Uh-huh,” Tori replied.
“So how long does your barrier last?” Minato asked, leaning back on his hands. “I have all night. Do you?”
Tori twitched in annoyance. The barrier was tied to her, so it would be up as long as she was alive and producing chakra, or until she chose to deactivate it. But she didn’t want him to know he could just teleport back in and kill her. It was better if he thought the barrier had a time limit, like most barriers would.
The barrier was also draining her chakra, so it could “kill” her in a day or so without food to replenish herself. She supposed that was the time limit.
That, or Minato could attempt to deactivate the barrier himself, which meant he’d have to teleport back inside the barrier and then remove her shirt and…
Tori’s face went hot as she imagined what his hands would feel like on her bare skin. This idea should frighten her, and yet she kind of wanted it to happen. What was wrong with her?!
Fortunately, Minato did not react to her blush and simply continued to just stare at her in mild interest. Tori turned her gaze to the kunai at her feet, desperate to distract herself. She had just enough room in her barrier to awkwardly squat down to pick it up.
“How does this even work?” she asked, picking at the tag with the Hiraishin marker. It wasn’t hard, once she peeled up the edges, to pull the whole thing off the kunai’s handle. “This isn’t real fuinjutsu, is it?”
The tag was… well, technically it was seal script. But also it was just some characters. One of them was “love.” Why.
Minato’s cheeks had actually turned pink.
“It’s… it is a seal,” he spluttered.
“What happens if I destroy it?” Tori wondered, tugging at the paper like she meant to rip it.
Next moment, Minato was back in the barrier with her again, hands around her wrists as he pushed her back up against the barrier.
“I stop you before you can,” he said, and somehow this made Tori’s stomach completely flip over.
“So I can destroy it,” Tori said smartly. She wondered what he would do, if she continued to be sassy with him.
Minato sighed dramatically. She felt the puff of his breath on the top of her head. She waited excitedly for his reply.
He took a tiny half-step back, as far as he could get in the cramped space. He let go of her right wrist, but his other hand slipped up her arm to cover her left hand. He held it up in the small space between them, her wrist facing upwards. A brand new Hiraishin marker, written in black across the delicate skin of her wrist, glared up at her.
Tori’s eyes widened. “When did you…?”
Minato’s stupid sexy smirk was back. “I don’t need ink to place one.”
Fuck, Tori thought. If she’d known this about the Hiraishin once upon a time, she’d definitely forgotten it. Truly this was an OP technique.
Minato teleported back out of the barrier, this time appearing facing the bed. He put his hands on his hips and surveyed the notebooks and scrolls Tori had left out, his head leaning back to regard her window potato.
He can also control how close he gets to the marker and his position around it, Tori thought. What the fuck, honestly. She was glad she wasn’t a ninja. She’d absolutely hate having to figure out how to fight that.
As it were, she was a civilian. If she fought anyone outright, she’d just die. Finding out the Hiraishin was even more OP than she’d thought just meant she could figure out new ways to trick him into teleporting directly into his own demise.
“Who taught you fuinjutsu?” Minato asked, picking up one of the scrolls and examining it.
Tori did not answer, instead glaring at him as he went through her things and she was helpless to stop him. How rude! She liked her things!
“I’m honestly not going to hurt you,” Minato said after a couple minutes of silence, picking up a different scroll.
Tori eyed him, rubbing at her wrist. The Hiraishin marker didn’t smudge the way ink might. Clearly Minato was still underestimating her, if he thought she wouldn’t be willing to also destroy a marker physically on her.
“Not the vengeful type, then?” Tori drawled.
Minato actually laughed. He tilted his head back slightly, grinning good naturedly at her.
“They managed to regrow all my skin, so no harm, no foul.”
They did… they did what?
The face Tori made at this statement must have been funny, because Minato laughed again. It wasn’t mocking or cruel; he sounded genuinely amused. He really did seem like he was telling the truth, that he was just here to ask questions.
Except, Tori knew better than anyone how good a manipulation tactic playing kind and demure was. Minato was a killer and a tool of Konoha above anything else. She couldn’t forget that.
“This is a Konoha scroll,” Minato said conversationally, holding up the scroll in question. “Where’d you get it?”
Tori narrowed her eyes at him. I’ll make him break, she decided.
“One of your buddies decided it would be a good idea to get drunk and harass women,” Tori said, which was the truth. “So I decided he’d be better off with a pair of collapsed lungs and none of his stuff.”
Minato’s easy smile shrank slightly, and his body language turned stiff.
There, Tori thought. Now show me your true colors.
“I’m sorry to hear that,” Minato said, voice tight.
“I’m not,” Tori replied. “What did Konoha tell you to do about me?”
Minato cocked his head to the side. He studied her for a bit, even as he tucked the Konoha scroll into the pouch at his waist.
Eventually, he said, “They don’t think you could possibly be real.”
Tori actually laughed. It ripped out of her against her conscious efforts, a single, resounding Ha!
Minato’s lips quirked upwards, his body language loosening.
“I already knew you’ve killed Konoha-nin,” Minato said. He picked up her notebook and flipped through it idly as he spoke, not really reading it. “And Iwa-nin, and Kusa-nin. I’ve been following you for a while.”
“Really?” Tori asked, and then wanted to slap herself at how obvious it was she wanted the attention. Minato picked up on her tone shift immediately, resummoning his stupid sexy smirk and then stepped towards her.
“There were rumors of a fuinjutsu master, so naturally I investigated,” he said. Then he snorted with laughter. “Konoha doesn’t believe any of the rumors could be true. So I have no orders from them about you.”
“So…?” Tori prompted. She wasn’t sure if this was good news for her or not. Although, hearing Minato had been looking for her out of personal interest made her insides go all funny again.
“So,” Minato said, eyeing her up and down. “I’m not lying when I say I don’t really want to hurt you. I’m here to make friends. I just really, really want to know more about the mysterious girl who nearly killed me.”
Then he smiled that smile again, the one that had made Tori feel safe and cared for, the one that she knew was fake. Her face went hot again, but not from whatever confusing hormonal responses she was having. Truly, if she could kill people with her mind, Minato would be dead right then and there.
“For example,” Minato continued. He held up a page of her notebook, which contained a draft of the chakra phylogeny she was trying to make. “What is this?”
“You know,” Tori said tersely, “if you actually wanted to play nice, you wouldn’t be going through all my personal belongings like a creep. You wouldn’t have snuck in here waving knives around.”
Minato’s eyes widened slightly. His cheeks went ever so slightly pink.
“I don’t think I want to tell you anything,” Tori said, crossing her arms.
“I came in waving kunai around because last time we talked, you nearly killed me for no reason,” Minato replied, annoyance seeping into his voice, although he didn’t raise his volume. He jabbed a finger against the outside of the barrier. “What if this had been an offensive jutsu instead of a defensive one? I want to play nice, but don’t think you can play harmless civilian with me.”
Tori scowled. Okay. So. He had a point. And she did… she did want his attention. She liked him smiling at her as much as she hated it.
“It’s a phylogeny,” Tori said finally, pointing at the notebook. “It’s a family tree that shows evolutionary relationships between species. I’m trying to see if more closely related things have more similar chakra than distantly related things.”
Minato stared back at her, mildly dumbfounded. Her explaining this probably just created more questions than it answered for him.
Good, Tori thought. She wanted to be mysterious and unsolvable.
She pointed at her window potato.
“So my hypothesis is that that guy will have more similar chakra to the trees outside than yours or my chakra.”
Minato eyed the potato for a moment, and then stared down at the phylogeny, then looked back up at her.
“So you’ve been carving seals into trees,” he said slowly, “to use… tree chakra…?”
“Well,” Tori said. It was unclear to her if this was a secret she should be keeping or not, but if she wanted to establish a friendly rapport and not be killed by an upset famous ninja, probably she should tell him something. This she couldn’t exactly hide, and it was less risky territory than time travel or Orochimaru or Ame. Also… something inside her was pleased, that he’d noticed she’d been doing that. “Yeah, something like that.”
“Huh,” Minato said.
“So will you be reporting my creative endeavors to Konoha?” Tori asked cautiously.
“I think they’d be even less likely to believe me,” Minato said, grinning cheekily at her. “As that sounds like crazy bullshit.”
Tori felt her face collapse into a pout, and Minato’s grin broadened.
“How about…” he said, lazily tossing the notebook back onto the bed. “Next time I bring you another plant, and you show me how you're using plant chakra?”
Tori bit her bottom lip. What was this angle? So he was threatening to come back to her, to make her show him her fuinjutsu experiments? Was he just curious, or was he mining her for information to report back to Konoha? What would happen if she said no? What would happen if she agreed?
“So you’ll bring me flowers?” she said instead of a real answer.
He winked at her. “It’s a date, then.”
And just like that, he was gone.
Tori sank to her knees. Her hands were shaking, and she wasn’t sure if they’d been doing that the whole time or not. The adrenaline seeped out of her, and Tori felt exhausted.
Minato definitely could have killed her. That he didn’t must mean something, but she wasn’t ready to believe he wanted to be friends. That didn’t make sense. That wasn’t the crapsack world she lived in, or how the people of the Third Shinobi War behaved.
She stared down at her wrist, at the Hiraishin marker now permanently affixed to her. He had acted all nice, almost flirty, but also he’d made it so she couldn’t back out if she wanted to. He wasn’t a good person, and he wasn’t as friendly as he claimed.
He had won this round, she supposed. But he was still underestimating her. He had left her like this, assuming she wasn’t crazy enough to hack off her own skin… and assuming she wasn’t smart enough to remove the marker herself.
Let’s see who wins the next one, Yellow Flash, Tori thought.

💫ROBINHILL Smut
Tumblr media
kinda scared cause this is only my third time writing smut 😣 I wanna try and make this as in character as I can but it’s gonna probably end up being OOC‼️‼️
also when you think of the hotel suite, my idea for how it would look would kinda be a mix of the penacony hotel rooms and the hotel suite from pretty women.

“I’d travel across galaxies of torture and pain if it meant I could hold you”
~
Robin had just finished her concert, and finally got back to the hotel she was staying at, she was exhausted, but remembering the smiles she saw on people’s faces as she sang, always made her feel a bit better about her day, sure her long and excruciating makeup routine, plus the hours of dance practice, the strict diets, the hate mail, the constant business, the occasional stalkers, made it rough, but just knowing that she could have made one persons day better with her music kept her going.
But that doesn’t mean the fatigue wasn’t getting to her, and…aeons, she missed Boothill, last time they seen each other had been almost two months ago, they had gotten into an argument about how she felt like she wasn’t enough for him…and than she suggested he was cheating on her.
when they had first met, he was a “pump and dump” kinda guy, the type of guy who sleeps with a women one time, and never calls again, didn’t date, and sure as hell, didn’t stick to one gal.
of course deep down she knew he had changed, she knew he loved her, but, she was so busy all the time, and exhausted, and they didn’t sleep together as much as most couples did.
did he feel unsatisfied? Unloved? The guilt of arguing with him over something she knew wasn’t true was eating her up, she just wanted to see him again, but even after apologizing, she couldn’t bring herself to ask him to see her.
She pulled out her phone, scrolling to her texts with boothill, staring at them.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
She sighed, her hand clenching around her phone, seeing that made her feel a bit better, she smiled to herself as she walked down the halls to her hotel room.
she took out her keycard, making sure to check both ways, before quickly opening it and rushing inside, shutting and locking it as quickly as possible, perhaps she was a bit paranoid but better safe than sorry.
Aeons, now she just wanted a nice shower, and sleep, maybe she’d order a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates.
as she walked in, she noticed the hotel suite was faintly lit by candles, she glanced at the bed, rose petals spread across it, she slowly reached in her bag for her pepper spray, aeons, she hoped she didn’t have a crazy fan inside her room.
She peeked around the corner holding her pepper spray tightly, her thumb on the button, ready to spray.
And there he was, sitting in a chair across the room, already starting to get up, only immediately to sit back down, and put his metallic hands up in defeat.
“eh..hey there…darlin?“ he said, with an unsure tone, as he stared at the pepper spray, and chuckled, slowly standing up.
“sheesh, ya still mad about the fight? Is that it?”
Robin stared for a moment, and sighed, slowly putting the pepper spray down, her wings relaxed in relief, and she rushed over into his arms, burying her face in his neck, his arms wrapping around her waist, spinning her around in his arms. “I missed you.” she whispered into his neck, holding onto him tightly as he slowly set her down, back on her feet. “aww, I missed you too, sugar.”
“im sorry.” she said, almost immediately, staring up at him, her lips curved down into a small frown, the wings behind her ears drooping downwards.
he simply smiled, and took off his hat, tossing it. “Angel, it’s fine, really, it’s okay, do I look mad to you? Cause I ain’t mad.” he trailed his robotic fingers along her cheek.
she hesitates, but she eventually lets out a sigh of relief, nodding slowly, leaning her head into his cold, metal hands. “I know you’re not..” there was a moment of silence.
he must have noticed she still looked upset, because he scooped her up over his shoulder, and started walking over to the bed and before she got the chance to object, he tossed her down on it, and quickly started to undress himself.
“d-dear?…” she says after a moment, slowly sitting up, watching him, she sighed. “you want to do this now?…”
“do ya not want to?” “no I do..but I’m tired…”
He paused, and sighed, smiling. “than ill do all the work, you just lay back and enjoy it, sugar…is that okay?”
She hesitated for a moment, she didn’t like having him do all the work…it made her feel like she wasn’t pleasing him.
but the way he stares at her, it reassures her, she sighs softly, and nods slowly. “yes.”
he chuckles softly, and slowly leans down, climbing on top of her, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek.
“Yes what? Use your words, baby.” she sighed, her cheeks growing hot, she felt that fluttering in her stomach at his words, and she clenched her thighs together, her wings perked up a tad. After a moment, she said in a soft voice, leaning back.
“Yes..I want you to make love to me.” He paused, and giggled, he felt giddy hearing that, and planted a kiss on her lips.
“Than ya hold on, sweet cheeks, we goin all night!”
~
He proceeded to help her get undressed, making sure to be extra gentle with her, the cold steel of his hands caused her to occasionally shiver or tense, he kept checking on her to make sure she was okay. once he got her dress and jewelry off, he slowly removed her bra, planting a kiss on both of her breasts, rubbing her stomach slowly. “Mm..missed my girls…and ya nipples already so perky and hard, just for me.” he chuckled, kissing her right nipple, than her left.
She shivered, and looked down at him, slowly caressing the back of his head with her hand, her fingers curling around his hair, playing with it softly.
“Don’t say stuff like that..it’s embarrassing..” she mumbled with a soft tone, sighing, her cheeks flushed brightly, her lips glossy from the wet kisses he kept giving her.
”but it’s true.” He captured a nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue around her harden nipple, sucking gently.
she let out a small, content sigh, her eyes half lidded, the wings behind her ears fluttered again, she leaned her head back into the pillow, she smiled slightly for a moment, he always found a way to make her smile.
he slowly started moving down her body, trailing kisses down her stomach, and stopping right above her pubic area. “is this okay, baby?” Robin nodded slowly, and grabbed a pillow to hold onto, pressing it against her chest, burying her mouth in it, and mumbled into it.
“Yes. Go ahead, love.” her wings fluttered again, and she squirmed her hips around a bit.
Boothill slowly sat up, taking off her underwear slowly, he glanced at it, and chuckled as he noticed her slick. “sheesh, sugar, ya already that wet?” he paused for a moment, staring at her flustered face, and he said slowly, in a softer, more serious tone.
“Atta Girl, Lift those pretty legs up for me.” She felt those butterflies in her stomach again, but it felt hotter, she felt a throbbing on her clit, and glanced down, noticing Boothill’s erect thick cock, and how swollen and red the tip looked, thank aeons he kept his dick, her wings fluttered again, she was practically salivating. she obeyed, lifting her legs up slowly, exposing herself to him. he groaned softly, and rubbed his jaw for a moment, staring down at her pussy, his dick twitched slightly, and he sighed, almost analyzing her for a moment, his metallic fingers reached over, and he flicked her swollen bud softly, eliciting a small moan from her throat, she bucked her hips up slightly. “Boothill, please…I need you..” she cooed, squirming her hips around in a circular motion, causing him to chuckle again.
“Gosh darn, darlin…you sure are a needy lil’ thing, ain’t cha?” he sighed, and lifted her legs over his cold, metal shoulders.
“Soon…lemme prepare you first, sweet cheeks.” He leaned his hands under her, groping and kneading her rear softly, lifting her up by her butt just slightly, before leaning down, and planting a few kisses on her inner thighs, he glanced at her, before taking a small and soft nibble at her inner thigh, sucking the skin softly. she gasped, before a whimper left her lips, she stared down at him, wiggling her hips again, desperately, she hadn’t been intimate with him in so long, she didn’t realize how starved she was for him since she was always distracted with work.
“Dear…please hurry up..”
he sucked her thigh for a second more, before stopping, leaving a small red mark on her inner thigh, he sighed, and looked at her. “Relax…we don’t gotta rush everything, we have all night…” he caressed her ass slowly, and planted a loving kiss right above her clit, making her shiver.
“Move that damn pillow too, I wanna hear ya” he leaned a hand up, and snatched the pillow away, she whined.
“I need something to hold onto..”
“Squeeze the sheets, pull my damn hair, I don’t care, but don’t try and hide from me.” He quickly latched his lips onto her clit, and sucked.
she moaned softly, and bucked her hips up slightly, her nails digging into sheets, his tongue swirled around her nub, his cold, metallic hands squeezing her ass, caressing her softly.
he slowly moved his lips away from her clit, only to start lapping at her entrance, sucking and probing her pussy with his tongue, devouring her like she was his last meal on earth. he made sure to be careful not to scrape his teeth against her pussy, he kept giving loving rubs with his thumb onto her hip bone, occasionally glancing up at her, his cock pressing into the mattress, the rose petals on the bed were getting mushed up slightly by Robins squeezing and tugging of the sheets. He started flicking his tongue at her clit, switching between slow and fast every few seconds, her moans and whines filled the room, her wings got droopy from the overwhelming pleasure, and her halo tilted slightly as her head kept moving around, she moved her hands slowly to his head, tugging his long white and black hair gently as she felt that familiar, hot, tightening coil in her stomach.
“B-Boothill…’m gonna cum-“ Robin moaned softly, her body tensing up, he started giving long licks, before lapping at her clit rapidly, after a few moments, he mumbled against her pussy. “cum for me, baby, it’s okay, let go.” she than came undone on his tongue, closing her eyes as her wings fluttered slightly, her thighs clenching around his head, tugging at his hair as her orgasm washed over her, moaning out his name softly.
he kept pleasuring her through her orgasm, and once she finally relaxed, he gave a soft kiss to her pussy, and leaned up.
“glory, darlin…look how soaked you are for me!” he smiled with pride, licking his lips, he slowly climbed over her, his cock pressing against her stomach, he leaned down and wrapped a arm behind her head, the other holding Robin’s hip, caressing her softly.
“Tell me when you’re ready for me darlin.” He kissed her forehead, and brushed a couple strands of her pale blue hair out of her face, his eyes half lidded.
~
After a five minutes of letting her relax, she gently pokes his cheek and snuggles closer to him, spreading her legs slightly.
“I’m ready, love.” she cooed softly against his ear, wrapping her arms around his neck.
he stared down at her and slowly moved up, propping himself up by his elbows, he stared down at her body for a moment, and smiled, kissing her forehead. “hold on, angel..” he slowly positioned his cock head at her entrance, and pushed in slightly, inch by inch, she whimpered as she was stretched by his cock, a drop of sweat dripping down her neck.
he leaned down and licked her neck softly, and started nibbling her neck, as he pushed himself in, groaning, she squirmed a bit, her breathing growing heavier, once his cock reached deep inside her love canal, she whimpers, and tenses up, her pussy squeezing around his cock tightly. he moans into her neck, and mumbled gently. “baby..you okay?…you tightened up..ya tense?” He kisses her neck and leans up, staring down at her, he moves a hand to her face, and rubs her cheek, kissing her lips.
once he pulls away, she shakes her head, and motions for him to start moving. “D-Dear…’m okay…move..please…” he sighs, and slowly grabs her arms, pushing them down, and interlocking their hands, he couldn’t feel her skin with his hands, he couldn’t feel her warmth, but he still wanted to comfort her, to make her feel safe.
he loves her so much, he really does, he can’t imagine being with any other women.
thrust
he only wants her.
thrust
he only needs her.
thrust
he only loves her.
He groans, moaning her name softly. “f-fudge!- aeons…Robin, yer doing so good..oh..yeah, babydoll..” his thrusts are at the perfect pace, the perfect angle, hitting right against her sweet spot, making her squirm and moan, her back arching off the bed, their soft moans filling the room, her eyes watered. ”B-Boothill…I…I love you so much!” she cooed, he filled her up so well, she squirmed her hips, his cock ramming into her, picking up the speed, he groaned into her ear repeatedly, grabbing her hips as he pounded into her passionately, occasionally slowing his hips down only to speed up once again, making her moans roll off her tongue slowly, soft coos leaving her throat.
“Mm..I love you too Robin…love ya so much, darlin..”
He glanced at the wings behind her ears, and suddenly leaned his hands over, grabbing both of them on either side, using them as handles as he thrusted inside her.
A loud moan left her lips, tears of pleasure spilling out, drooling slightly, her hips bucking upwards again.
he rolled his hips up in a way that hit her cervix, making her throw her head back.
his thumb caressed her wings slowly as he tugged them as gently as he could while he thrusted into her. She cried, and he almost slowed down. “baby? You okay? You need me to stop?-“
She quickly shook her head, and whined, her body twitching slightly, legs shaking, yet she wanted him to keep going, he sighed softly, and kissed her forehead, letting go of her wings as he wrapped his arms around her, and continued his thrusts, speeding up again quickly.
They both felt their orgasms building up rather quickly, and he groaned into her hair, he could go all night, but he could see she was pretty damn exhausted. “let go, Robin, just relax, I’ll take care of everything, just let go..cmon baby, you’re so close, you can do it, baby girl.” he moaned into her ear, thrusting faster and faster, and she whined, hugging him tightly, and her pussy tightened and squeezed around his cock, her eyes squeezed shut as she felt her orgasm rising to the very top.
he moaned against her cheek, and slammed his lips against hers, kissing her passionately as they came together, his cum filling her up as her orgasm washed over her intensely, her body twitching, he kept thrusting his cum into her, and slowed down after a few moments, fucking her through her orgasm as he moved his head up, staring down at her, with a satisfied smiled, caressing her back. “there ya go, sweetheart…ya feel good?..” he kissed her sweaty forehead, as her shaken breaths slowed down, and her twitching came to a stop, her body relaxed into the bed, going limp as her wings drooped downwards slightly, after a few moments, she whispered in a soft voice.
“mhm…” she paused, and stared at him with her big teal-emerald eyes, and smiled at him. “I love you.” he chuckled softly, and tilted his head. “I love ya too, Robin.”
~
after their intense lovemaking session, he decided to let her rest for the rest of the night, after all, he had all tomorrow to make love to her.
“How was it, sweet cheeks?” He murmured to her. she curled up in his arms, snuggling closer, his robotic fingers combed through her hair repeatedly. “perfect, as always.” she leaned a hand up, and started braiding some strands of his hair, smiling slightly at him.
“Heh, as always, huh? Guess you’re a pretty lucky gal.” he kissed her forehead again, rubbing her lower back with her cold, metallic fingers, it was hot outside anyways, his cool touch felt nice. “And you’re a pretty lucky man, right?” “luckiest in the world.” She giggled softly, and continued to make small braids in his hair. after some comfortable silence, he continued. “whatcha wanna do tomorrow? Shall I take my lady shopping? You wanna go see a movie?” she paused, and kissed his cheek.
“let’s stay in the hotel all day, laze around…I need some downtime” her words made him grin, and he shook his head, and brushed the wings behind her ears with his robotic fingers. “Yes ma’am.” he eyed her up and down for a moment. “Do I get to pleasure ya all day?” “of course.” she cooed, as he started massaging her thighs, and sighed, he slowly leaned down and buried his face in her breasts, closing his eyes. “mm…you a real beauty…ya know that darlin?” she sighs and kisses the top of his head, caressing the back of his head gently as she held him close. “I know, you and half the galaxy tell me everyday.” She pauses. “I like hearing it more from you though.” he chuckles, and kisses her collarbone. “I know you do, sugar..”
they lay in silence, her hands slowly caressing his head as his robotic arms squeeze around her waist and thighs, occasionally planting a kiss on her collarbone or neck.
after a few minutes, Robin yawns, and curls up closer to him, as he pulls the blankets over their shoulders.
“I love you”
“I love you too”

I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine
I walk the line
Right
Left
Right
Left, no right….
Right again?
Then a left? Fuck I think I’m lost?
It’s so fucking dark, just pay attention
One more left and then I should be
BANG
I jumped up immediately confused, I was blinded by the bright light of the sun and the loud bang of a shotgun?
I opened my eyes fully and felt so confused, I squinted as I looked in front of me
“Matt?” I asked shielding my eyes from the sun
“Don’t worry now darlin they’re coming for us” he said offering me his hand
It was only then that I finally realized my surroundings. I was deep in a corn field, not just deep; but at the core where they usually have the scarecrows. It was such an eerie sight!
Frantically I looked around at my surroundings, I was laying on the ground in my pajamas from the night before.
“What? How did I get here? I’m so confused” I said rubbing my head and looking around
“It’s okay sweetheart, listen sleepwalking is normal” Matt said looking down at me
“I don’t sleep walk” I stated shaking my head rapidly
“You’re in a new surrounding and your body just isn’t used to it, I think you tried to leave but you were still asleep” he said lending his hand out to me
“No you don’t understand, I don’t do that…. I mean how did you even find me?” I asked him after grabbing his hand to lift myself up
“Well you see I went to round up Bertha this mornin’ and I saw your front door open, cept’ you wasn’t round. I called out your name, but nothing. But then I noticed footprints in the dirt down yonder by your driveway. They lead to the cornfield and I yelled your name again, but still nuffin. I rounded up my boys and told them I was going in and I'd shoot off this shotgun once I found you. They’ll be coming in to help us out” he said looking at me with soft eyes
“God this is so weird…. Thank you! I appreciate it. I’m sorry for the trouble this morning” I said to him as I offered him a weak smile
“Nahh don’t worry about it I’m just glad I was able to find you before something happened” he said to me
“Is there something I should be worried about in this field?” I asked cocking my brows at him
“Oh no no it’s just wild animals that are brave and try huntin in the mornin” he said smiling at me
Shortly his friend came in to help us out of the field. They led the way while I was in the back. Matt looked back at me every couple seconds to make sure I was okay. A nice gesture but I still felt super uncomfortable.
“Right, left, right, left no right….right again? Then a left? Fuck I think I’m lost” one of his friends whisper shouted
My head shot up and my eyes widened….that is exactly the last thing I remember hearing…. I immediately became uneasy and anxious
The other boys nudged him and whispered curses at him as they pushed him to walk faster.
“You come to pick corn every couple days and you can’t find your way out?” Matt asked him trying to ease the awkward silence and weird tension in the air
“No no! I’m good don’t worry bout it” he shouted back to Matt as he stomped on the ground, pushing through the field
Leading me out of the cornfield I thanked them as Matt walked me back to my house. Looking down as I walked my feet dirty with dried up mud. And my pajamas caked in dirt….I seemed a bit too dirty for someone who just happened to stroll into a corn field.
Walking me up to my door I turned to Matt and smiled at him, opening my mouth I began
“Listen I’m sorry for the trouble once again, and this isn’t something I normally do like ever; but just know this will never happen again” I said to him
“No worries! Just calm your nerves ain’t nothing wrong with this town to make you so jumpy instantly” he says laughing a bit
“Right….well I’m going to head in now. As you can see I’m a bit dirty” I say laughing
“Of course! I’ll see you round” he says before nodding his head and taking off
Stepping into the house I shut the door behind me almost instantly locking it. I stomped upstairs to the bathroom. I got the shower running as I removed my dirty clothes and looked at my body. I had a few scratches but nothing that seemed abnormal….. was I going insane? Was I now a sleep walker? Or was something darker going on already?
I shook it off and hopped in the shower. Once I was done and got dressed I decided to sit on my couch, chewing at my nails as my leg bounced up and down. This anxiety was clawing at me and I couldn’t stop it.
Pulling my phone out I opened my emails and saw I had a new email from my old professor
Dear Y/N,
I can’t believe you actually bit the bullet and went! This is awesome and I’m looking forward to hearing all about your experiences. I read those articles and it’s actually crazy! I did a few more google searches and even ended up on Reddit. Supposedly Thomas Sturniolo has family out in Pleasant Town. I wonder if they still use the same name and if you’ll ever run into them! And as far as the realtor guy he for sure sounds like a weirdo! Haha, who has that name anymore? But then again it is a small town in the south! Please keep me posted!
Sincerely, Professor Wayne
I sighed with relief at the email back from him, for a split second I felt like I had some normality in my life, and I decided to email him back
Dear Professor Wayne,
Thank you for getting back to me! I’ll for sure keep an eye out for any Sturniolos! I sure hope they don’t go by that same name anymore, but I’m still not sure. I’d have to go to the local library and search the database. Who even knows if they have a library here….sure doesn’t seem like it!
However something so weird happened to me last night. I think I was sleepwalking? I’ve never done that before, but I have no recollection of the night before. I must be an extreme deep sleeper! But how does one end up muddy in the middle of a cornfield and not wake up? Am I being paranoid, or am I right to be a little concerned? I mean this was only the first night…. I think I’m just scaring myself! Anyways, I hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely, Y/N Y/L/N
Hitting send I sighed as I laid my phone down on the couch. Rubbing my hands through my hair as I shook my head. That uneasy feeling went away as soon as I realized how hungry I was.
Remembering I never got to go out last night I decided to hit the stores today. However I didn’t know where anything was and I was on edge, so I decided to see if Matt was available to take me to the stores.
Stepping outside I locked my front door, and to my surprise Matt was outside tuning something in his car. I looked both ways before crossing the dirt road
“Hey Matt” I said to the young man as his arm cranked rapidly while his tongue was in between his teeth, in a fit of concentration
“Oh hey darlin” he says quickly snapping out of it and looking at me
“I really don’t mean to bother, but I was wondering if you’d be willing to take me to your nearest market so I can get some food” I said to him smiling
“Oh sure thing, let me finish tightening this and we can take my truck” he says smiling at me
“Sure thing” I say backing up
Cranking the wrench again he gave a satisfied face once he realized the piece was fixed. Matt shut the hood…well more like slammed it before dusting his hands off. Using a handkerchief in his pocket to wipe them clean fully.
“My uhh, my passenger side door doesn’t work or else I’d be opening it for you on that side” he stated as he opened the driver side door and looked back at me
“Oh that’s alright I appreciate it” I said as I patted his arm and hopped into his truck
He hopped in after me and shut the door, starting the car up. His tongue stuck out between his lips as the ignition sputtered and then his engine roared to life
“Now that’s what I’m talkin bout” he said tapping the steering wheel
“Did you fix her up?” I asked him as I looked inside the car
“Oh I sure did! 1950 Chevy 3100 . Belonged to my great grandpa and it got handed down to me. I fixed her up nicely. New paint job, new interior and new parts” he said smiling while looking at me
“It’s really nice, to see a car this old running fantastically” I replied back to him
“Yeah, I mean it didn’t need much. My great grandpa got it as his retirement car but then he passed away and it was left to my pops who didn’t care for it, so he left it to me” he replied
“Wow, this is awesome though. I love old cards so much” I replied nodding my head at him
Nodding back we sat in silence, the breeze of the warm air and the sound of a faint country song playing in the background.
“Say you guys wouldn’t happen to have a library here would you?” I asked suddenly
“Oh we do! The smallest library in all of the United States” he said looking over at me
“Fuck yes, is it cool if I stop by there for a bit?” I asked him
“Sure thing darlin” he stated back
About 10 minutes later we were in their “city” which was probably the furthest thing from a city. Everything was right next to each other. Pulling into a parking spot we hopped out. Matt held onto my hand as he helped me hop out of his truck.
Offering a smile as I silently thanked him. Leading me over to the local market they had there. He had gone his way as I grabbed a cart and began to shop.
The buzzing of the old light fixtures and the ominous silence made me a bit queasy. Looking over my shoulders every couple of seconds.
As I was grabbing a couple of basic necessities as far as food I made my way over to the laundry detergent. Scanning what they add and silently choosing my options. I heard giggling to the left of me, so I turned my head, and to my surprise there was a group of kids no younger than 10 looking at me and laughing. Some of the kids even stared at me with wide eyes….almost like they knew me. I offered a polite smile and grabbed what I needed.
I headed down to the frozen section in the back of the store. Looking at the milk options I heard the whispered chatter again and the laughs. So I looked into the glass reflection and saw those same kids staring at me. Getting fed up I abruptly turned around
“It’s not nice to stare” I said to them bluntly
“Ye ain’t s’pose to be here” One taller boy said almost like he was growling at me? Like a dog?
“Says Who?” I asked him cocking a brow at him
“Ye just ain’t” he said again glaring at me with his cold eyes
“You don’t own the town” I said sucking my teeth at him
“Ohh my daddy’s gone’ be real upset when he sees you here” The boy said as his friends snickered with him
“You’re such a little shit” I mumbled under my breath as I turned around and rolled my eyes
“You better get out here before you stuck forever” One of his little friends said
I ignored him, but I couldn’t ignore the chill that ran up my spine at that statement. These people were such fucking weirdos and one more instance was going to be my sign to pack up and leave.
Too into my thoughts, my hand had gripped the handle to the door roughly as I fought with myself. Zoning out completely I jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder
“You alright?” I heard from behind me
I jumped and gasped before looking over my shoulder, a calmness taking over once I saw it was Matt.
“Yeah…yeah sorry I guess I got distracted” I said shaking my head
“Too many milk options?” He asked laughing
“You could say that” I replied wiping sweat off my forehead
“I’ll wait for you outside you seem a bit on edge” he said to me before backing away
“Alright thanks” I said to him
I quickly grabbed my milk and the last bit of groceries I needed. Heading to checkout before meeting Matt outside.
“Oh darlin you should’ve yelled for some help, let me get that for you” he replied taking some bags from me
“It ain’t nothing, I appreciate it though” I stated smiling at him
Matt and I put the groceries back in the truck, and he showed me to the library.
“Whatcha here looking for?” He asked me as we strolled down the aisles
“Nothing in particular, maybe some history” I said smiling at him
History?” He asked cocking a brow at me
“I love all things history” I replied back as my fingers danced along the cover of some books
“I hate to break it to you, but uhhh we ain’t got no history books” he said laughing
“And why is that?” I asked furrowing my brows
“About a year ago the whole history section was set on fire by some hooligans, damn near took out the whole back side of the library. Were just glad people was round to help stop the fire” he replied back
“How convenient” I said offering him a tight lip smile
“I mean they’re trying to get that back section up and running again but without the funds we can’t get it properly fixed nor get those books back” he stated shrugging his shoulders
“Man that sucks, but I guess romance books will suffice” I state to him
“Oh I hate that shit, I’ll be outside waiting for you” he said laughing
“Whatttt no Colleen Hoover? No Nicholas Sparks?” I asked him pretending to be offended
“Oh no that’s all you” he said laughing and throwing his hands up
I trotted over to the romance section as Matt left browsing the section before quickly looking for Matt. I saw that he crossed the street and headed into a bait and tackle shop.
Smiling to myself I trotted away from romance and walked around, looking for a worker. Once I found one I walked up to her
“I’m so sorry to bother, but I know this town is full of history and was an important asset to many people, where would I find records of all the important people from this town throughout history?” I asked the worker
“Oh yeah we have a format on our computers it should be open just scroll down to pleasant town history and it’ll show you everything you need” she replied back
“Thank you so much Faye! It was great meeting you” I said to her before walking away
Making sure Matt was still nowhere to be found I rushed over to a computer. I clicked Pleasant Town History. And it was dumbed down into categories. My eyes lit up once I found crop, animal and farm owners. Immediately clicking I scrolled through the names.
“Stacey….Stanley….Stuart……Stu…..Sturnham….” My eyes squinted once I saw the next name was actively crossed out with a black border over the name.
Counting through the alphabet I realized “I” was after “H”…… it only took a few seconds before my eyes widened. Sturniolo? It was gone….scratched from this list?
I went over to homeowners and Sturniolo was blocked out once again, I slowly went to car owners, Chevy 3100 truck….. Sturnham…. And then blocked out again?
The gears started to click and I immediately became anxious. There could be no possible way that….hes Matts great grandfather? Right??
I figured there’s no way Matt could be related to someone like that. I mean yes he was a weirdo, but nothing like that…..
I exited out of everything and quickly walked to the exit. Swinging the door open I slammed into someone.
“Woah little lady where you headed” I heard Matt say laughing
“Sorry, didn’t see you there” I said frantically
“Oh no worries….found what you were looking for?” He asked raising an eyebrow
“What?” I asked as I swallowed thickly
“A romance book? Did you find one you were interested in?” He asked a bit puzzled
“Oh no uhhh none that peaked my interest” I stated smiling at him
“Well it’s almost lunch time, so I’m planning on heading back home” he said to me
“Yes, lunch! Very important, let's go!” I said nervously as I walked to his car
Matt peered at me with a bent neck and furrowed brows, but I just smiled at him as he followed me back to his truck.
Hopping in we headed back home, and to my surprise Matt helped me bring the grocery bags in.
“Here uhh let me make you lunch to say thanks” I said to Matt as I grabbed the loaf of bread from his hands
“Oh no sweetheart, don’t worry bout it” he said smiling
“No please! It’s the least I could do” I said to him nodding my head
“Well alright” he replied giving in
“How’s peanut butter and jelly with some milk?” I asked him
“Sounds mighty fine” he replied back nodding his head
I made our sandwiches and poured us some milk as we sat across from one another. Slowly eating as we occasionally exchanged glances.
“So uh..” I started
“Great sandwich” Matt said smacking his lips to get the peanut butter down
“Oh thank you” I replied giggling as I took a sip of my milk
“You seemed a bit on edge earlier, is everything alright?” He asked me as he took a sip as well
“Oh yeah, just some kids saying weird things to me. Makes me feel unsafe” I said to him
“What did they say?” He asked sitting up in his chair
“That I don’t belong here and I should leave before something happens?” I said rubbing my forehead
“Little bastards….listen don’t pay attention to a word they say. Those little assholes have nothing better to do than pick on people” he replied shaking his head
“Yeah I figured, but with the weird morning I was having I just freaked myself out” I said to him
“Understandable, but don’t worry you’re safe here” he replied offering me a warm smile
“I uhh… i have a question” I said to him
“Spill the beans then” he said ushering me to talk
“You see I did some research today in the library” I said to him
“Ahhh so no romance books” he said laughing
“No, but there seems to be something weird with the information on this town” I said to him
“You were looking up this town because?” He asked chewing a bit slower
“Well I want to learn more about where I’m living” I said in a duh tone
“Okay…” he replied a bit annoyed
“Who’s the Sturniolos and why is that name scratched out of almost all the public records?” I asked him
Immediately I regretted my decision. Something switched in the boy and his eyes grew cold as his nostrils flared. He slid his tongue along the front of his teeth. Inhaling sharply he slammed his hand down on the table
I gasped and jumped at this, my eyes popping out of my head.
“You don’t mention that name, you don’t read about that name and you sure as hell don’t think about that FUCKING NAME” he said yelling the last part
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you I swear” I said starting to frantically panic
“That name has destroyed everything good in this town. We don’t claim that man or his bloodline. He’s done unimaginable and unforgivable things” Matt said pursing his lips together and grinding his teeth
“Please forgive me Matt. I meant no harm at all just wanting to know some history. I swear I meant nothing by it” I replied throwing my hands up
“It’s alright, I’m sorry sweetheart for scaring you. I just haven’t gotten over what that evil man did” he replied calming down
“No it’s my fault” I said to him
“It’s not your fault” he replied finishing his milk
“I’m truly sorry” I stated once again
“I’ll meet you tonight at 7pm, I’ll take you to dinner and I’ll explain a little more about that man” he said to me nodding his head
“Oh alright” I said to him nodding my head
With that he put his dishes in the sink and stomped out the house. The rattle of the front door sent a shiver down my spine.
Later that evening I had gotten ready, stepping out my front door and locking it. I turned around to see Matt already waiting by his car for me
Hopping in we headed back into that same area from earlier. Taking me into one of the restaurants we sat for dinner. Using this as my advantage to squeeze some more information out of matt.
“This place is really nice” I said to him obviously lying through my teeth
“Bet it’s nothing like Vegas” he said pushing my chair in for me
“Well not much can beat Vegas, but for a small town this is a nice place” I replied to him
“This is my favorite spot even since I was a kid” he said looking over at me
“Have you always lived here?” I asked him
“My whole life” he said back
“Wow… and you’ve never been anywhere else?” I asked him
“No never, mama says there ain’t much for me to see out there anyway” he said
“With all due respect to your mother…. I disagree. There’s a whole world out there you have yet to see” I said to him
Cracking a smile at me he nodded, his eyes glazing over and shimmering with a saddened look….. one that screams I’m trapped and will never be able to leave
The dinner went well and I learned a lot about his childhood, but nothing about the town. However, that was until we walked the town a bit.
“So about earlier, I just want to say that man was an evil man. He lied, manipulated, stole and killed all for his personal benefit.” Matt said to me
“Did your family have personal ties to him?” I asked him as we walked
“Sort of. He had a farm and he watched my ancestors' animals ... .except instead he killed them. Believing in some weird ritual. Saying how these cult rituals would bring the town fortune” he said shaking his head
“And I’m guessing that was false” I scoffed a bit
“Oh very wrong…. And he was arrested, my ancestors had no animals and because they had no animals they couldn’t make money nor survive really. They spent a lot of time moving around Oklahoma before they could eventually come back here” he replied shrugging his shoulders
“Holy shit…that’s awful” I said exhaling
“It is but hey there’s not much else to do other than move on” he said to me
“Well I appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me…. And I’m sorry for bringing it up randomly earlier…it was wrong” I said to him
“It’s alright darlin” he said smiling and bumping my shoulder with his own
We walked around a bit more before heading back to our houses a little after 9pm. We enjoyed the breezy and quiet drive home.
Parking his car by his house he walked me over to my own house.
“Oh thank you Matt you didnt have walk me over” I stated smiling at him
“I would never leave a pretty lady to walk home alone at night” he said smiling at me
Looking down and blushing slightly I shook my head
“I enjoyed today a lot, thank you very much” I said to him
“You’re welcome sugar” he said back
“I’m going to head in for the night and get some shut eye. I’m super tired” I said yawning
“Me too! We’ll have a good night Y/N” he said to me
“Goodnight Matt” I replied back
Smiling at him I pulled him in for a friendly hug, and to my surprise he actually hugged back.
“I’ll see you tomorrow” I stated pulling away
“Goodnight” he said smiling at me and waving bye
I shut the door and locked it, making my way up to my room and preparing for bed.
Matts POV
Watching the young woman shut the door his smile dropped, and guilt and shame immediately filled his heart and mind. So taken aback by the hug and how nice Y/N was to him today he didn’t know how to feel.
Walking down the steps of her porch, he trotted over to his own house. Slipping in quietly and locking the door behind him. Silently slithering into his room he shut and locked the door.
Putting his pajamas on he laid on his bed as the moonlight lightly casted in through his windows. His mind wandered as he remembered what took place almost 19 hours prior….
Flashback
“Will you shut the fuck up and pick the lock faster” I yelled at my friend
“Well Matt I’m tryin but it’s dark out here” Bo said back to me in anger
“Just hurry” I said through gritted teeth
Within 30 seconds we heard the click and sighed in relief. Quietly ushering into Y/N’s house, we shut the door behind ourselves.
“Nate you pass me the chloroform and Bo and I will bring her downstairs” I said to my other friend
“Sure thing” he said nodding his head
Walking up the stairs we turned to the left and walked to the door that was closed. To our surprise it was her bedroom.
We walked in and I walked up to Y/N
“Y/N! Wake up” I said to her as I shook her
Jumping up out of her sleep she seemed confused and scared, but snapping my fingers I signaled to Nate. Instantly he handed me the chloroform and a rag, dozing the rag in the chemical I held it over her nose. Immediately she fell limp into my arms.
Nate took the supplies out of my hands and Bo came over to help me. Pulling her from under her arms we dragged her down the stairs.
“Leave the front door open so it seems like she left on her own” I said to Nate
“Got it” he replied eagerly
Rushing out the house we dragged her through the gravel and when we got to the dirt road Bo and I stood her up. Leaving footprints from the end of her driveway to the start of the cornfield.
“What about our footprints?” Bo asked me as we approached the corn field
“We’ll worry about that later come on” I said to him
Dragging Y/N into the center of the corn field we laid her down. Arms spread out and ankles touching.
“Are you sure you know how to do a sacrifice?” Nate asked me
“I learned from my grandfather and my dad I know what I’m doing” I replied back to him
“I don’t know this seems like too much” Nate said to me
“You’re getting cold feet now? After all this! You told me you were ready” I stated getting angry at him
“I know, but this seems all too much” Nate stated
“You don’t think I feel the same way? I said squinting at him in anger
“Man I think we should wait” Nate said
“You’re such a pussy” Bo said laughing at the boy
“I’m not ready” Nate said to us
“FINE! FINE! We’ll figure this out for another day” I said standing up
“Because of this chicken shit?” Bo said standing up
“I need everyone to be on board, so if one’s out then we’re all out” I said shaking my head
“Come on man” Bo said shaking his head
“Let’s go! help me get her up, we gotta get her back to her house” I said shaking my head
It started to drizzle as we lifted Y/N up. Holding her by her arms as we dragged her through the field.
“Right, Left ,Right, Left, no right….Right again? Then a left? Fuck I think I’m lost?” Bo said as we trotted through the cornfield
The rain became heavier which made it harder for us to see, and slippery. Our boots got stuck in the wet dirt.
“Fuck it’s dark! I need to pay attention” He said loudly as he wiped the water from his eyes
“Where am I? What’s going on?” Y/N started to say in a drunken groggy state
“Fuck….we gotta go” I said looking at Bo
“Matt? Is that you? What’s going on?” She asked as she tried to stand up
“Shhhh” I said to her
“I’m really scared, what's going on?” She asked starting to cry
“Chloroform now” I said to Nate
Nate quickly wet the rag again in Chloroform and shoved it in Y/N’s face. Choked whines of agony escaped her lips before she fell limp again.
“Bring her back to the center” I yelled over the rain
“What! Are you crazy?” Bo yelled at me
“We have to bring her back, this is all messy! I’ll tell her a good story in the morning. She’ll believe me. Come on” I said frantically
Dragging her back through the mud her pants and feet were completely caked in mud. Shaking my head we laid her on her back again.
She was knocked out cold, but I really hoped she stood that way till I came to “rescue” her in the morning.
The three of us ran back out of the corn field eventually. Not having to worry about our footprints because they would match up with my story of us going on the lookout for her!
Flashback over
Matt was disgusted with what he had done. He was no better than the sick men that once ruled this town. He tried to push the feelings deep down but they kept bubbling to the surface.
Forcing his eyes shut and trying to fall asleep. Praying he could somehow find a way to make this all better….
But for now he was hidden in the shadows of his mind and the only escape was….
You.
The End

His favorite way to unwind is to play with your hair. Due to having longer hair himself he’s grown accustomed to the different skill sets required to craft different hair styles, and actually, is really good at it. His fingers are lithe and nimble and are able to weave through strands with ease.
He drives an all black car with tinted windows, and has a polaroid of you in a photo booth with him on your first date in a plastic case hanging from his rear view mirror.
he also always makes sure to keep your favorite snacks in the car, as he’s a guy who’s bound to text you at 2am asking bout some “you up for a drive?” 💀
in terms of tattoos despite popular belief, i personally think he’d keep it on the minimal side. He’d maybe have some on his arms - or a sleeve, but he likes to keep them tidy. Although, he is one of those guys that would have that tiktok thirst trap spider on his chest or adjacent to his v line…..
this mf smells gooooood, he’s so paranoid about smelling bad because of Jean saying he smelt like a burning pile of bodies in high school and hasn’t been able to shake the fear since.
despite not being overly adorned in tattoos he does like piercings. He’s got about five on his ears and has a nose piercing but he always forgets about it.
loves reality shows. A few months into your relationship he noticed you watching them and acted with his full chest that he had no interest, yet as the weeks rolled by he somehow got closer and closer to the couch and before you knew it he was fully shouting over Lisa Rinna. (You’ve also seen him following over 30 housewives from the different shows on instagram…)
cannot stand metal music because he spent his entire childhood covering his ears from where it bled from under Mikasa’s door. (Otherwise he’d probably enjoy it)
he’d dress quite simply, mainly with blacks and whites and would sometimes mix and match with some red or green, but i don’t think he’s as ambitious as some of his friends fashion wise, but he still looks good as hell.
his favorite holiday is with out a doubt halloween, is some of this because he spent so long as a child building the most elaborate scares for the kids on his street? maybe. but he also likes autumn as a season so that has something to do with it.
doesn’t get along with his dad too well but is a total mamas boy. He visits her at least twice a month considering they live in different cities.
is a cat person, but when he was younger he liked dogs more as according to him they were “much radder” - his own words 💀, but as he got older and became more subdued he developed a preference for cats.
has anxiety that he manages to hide, he wasn’t used to being comforted and it took a while for him to fully open up to you.
despite smoking weed with Jean and connie almost every other day he still makes a dramatic scene any time Zeke lights a cigarette around him, i’m talking coughing and clutching his chest, Zeke’s standing there like this 🧍‍♀️waiting for him to stop his fucking shenanigans.
if you want to go out with Eren Jaeger prepare to be a victim of the sassy man apocalypse, because my god, this man is relentless, and the SIDE EYE on this mf is ridiculous. He could knock down an army with his sass alone.
takes good care of his hair, oils it twice a week and does hair masks in order to keep it soft and shiny. He can’t have his gorgeous girl going out with some guy with brittle, greasy ass hair…
goes to the gym but doesn’t like it very much. he goes most days for at least an hour but never posts gym pics on his instagram or anything, he just has no interest apart from maintaining his body.
cannot sleep without you. he can try, sure, but he’ll never be successful. Before you both decided to move in together he was at your house every night, nuzzled against your body with light breaths slipping from his lips, which sparked the conversation, why not just move in, you’re here everyday anyway?

Wolfstar Microfic - Dementor
Words: 982

🌙✨🌙✨🌙
Remus couldn’t sleep. Something was wrong. He rolled over, taking in the vast empty space on the other side of the bed. He’d known Sirius for ten years. He could be impulsive, arrogant and sometimes even just mean. What he also was, though, was loyal. To a fault, sometimes. Remus just couldn’t recognise the man that he loved in the accusations lodged against him.
Something was very wrong.
He got out of bed, wincing as his bare feet hit the cold floor. If Sirius had been working for Voldemort, there must be something in their flat to verify that. He started in the spare room, which had originally been Sirius’ room until they realised that he hadn’t slept in there for three months, at which point it became the spare room. It still had a lot of Sirius’ stuff in there, though. In boxes under the bed and the wardrobe. There was a lot to go through.
He started under the bed. He found twelve photo albums, which he couldn’t face looking through, and a box full of very racy-looking romance novels. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea, but what was the alternative? Just accept that the man who had kissed him on the forehead and told Remus that he was his whole world two days ago had conspired against them and been responsible for the death of three of their closest friends?
The next box Remus pulled out made him stop. In it was a small black chest with an inscription on the lid.
‘This chest, much like mine, will only open for you, Moons.’
Remus choked back a sob as he lifted the chest onto the bed. He ran his finger across the inscription and heard something click within. He was able to open it. He took a deep breath before looking inside. There were several photos of the two of them that Remus was quite glad that Sirius hadn’t put in a photo album and two envelopes.
He opened the first envelope. It was a contract. A contract that passed the role of secret-keeper from Sirius to Peter, and it was dated four months prior. Remus’ head was spinning. That was Pete’s signature, and he could tell from the paper that it had been magically signed too. He needed to take this to Dumbledore, or the Ministry. Someone who could tell if this was real or not. Then he noted the signature of the witness to the contract. Dumbledore. He knew. This made no sense.
He opened the second envelope, hoping for a miracle.
20th September 1981
Dear Moony,
I assume that if you’re reading this, then it’s likely something has happened to me, or maybe you’re just nosier than I thought you were.
I think Pete is the traitor. He became Prongs and Lily’s secret keeper back in June (see attached contract) because he convinced us all that I would be the obvious choice and Voldemort would never suspect him.
Since then I’ve noticed that anything that Pete knows quickly becomes used against the Order. Pete knew that Marlene and her sister would be with their parents last Friday. Only Pete, Dumbledore and I knew that. I certainly didn’t tell anyone, and it would surprise me if Dumbledore did. So that leaves Peter or a very lucky guess from the Death Eaters.
He’s also been in my ear about you. He’s been saying for months how suspicious it is that we aren’t told about your missions in meetings, and how many meetings you miss. I know you, as I hope you know me, and I know that you would never do this.
I have expressed my worries about this to Dumbledore, who knows that Pete is the secret keeper now. He told me that I was being paranoid and that J, L and H are perfectly safe. I hope that’s still the case when you read this.
If something has happened to me, look into Peter. I don’t think Dumbledore will care, so see if Moody will.
I hope I get to see you again.
I love you.
Padfoot
Remus didn’t hesitate before apparating to the Aurors offices.
Alastor Moody got on well with Remus and when he showed up looking distraught in the middle of his night shift, he leapt into action. He took the information from Remus, verified the magic signatures on the contract as belonging to Sirius, Peter and Dumbledore, and left the room. Remus sat in the offices for what felt like weeks, but the sun hadn’t even risen yet. Kingsley had sat with him for a while, telling him what Moody was working on, but Remus couldn’t take much of it in.
Moody appeared after several more long hours. “Remus. We’ve done magical trace tests on the finger we found at the scene. He did that to himself.”
“What are you saying, Alastor?” Remus asked, not wanting to hope too much.
“I’m saying that your man is being released from Azkaban as we speak. The dementors don’t like it, but it’s not their decision. This never should have happened. Shit. He should have had a trial, I’m so sorry. I don’t know how we missed this.”
Remus shook his head, “Dumbledore knew the whole time.”
Moody nodded, “I know. That’s something I urgently need to look into, but I needed to right the wrong first. He’s only been there for a day and a half, but the dementors…”
“I know. I’ll look after him.” Remus said as the fireplace glowed and two men stepped out. Sirius looked pale and his eyes were unfocused. Remus stumbled to his feet and pulled Sirius to him.
“Moons?” His voice was hoarse.
“I’ve got you. You’re alright.” Remus whispered into his hair. “You’re safe.”
“It wasn’t me.”
“I know, love. I found your letter.” Remus kissed the side of Sirius’ head. “I never believed it was you.”

aight i really don't feel like editing today so i'm just gonna give the unedited enyu thing for y'all :)
Tw: horror imagery
The warden took a swig from their glass of water, and turned their eyes back to their work, ignoring the slightly throbbing headache. It doesn’t matter.
Last time we went to get our daily check-up, Shidou told us to sleep, as we hadn’t slept in… a day? Yeah, that was a day ago. Hm… I don’t think that’s healthy. That was, what, yesterday? Hm…
They had whittled the two days away, only going for occasional breaks; they had requested more work, so they could be kept busy.
They had tried to sleep once in that period of time, and that hadn’t ended well.
Their rest probably lasted around 10 minutes, before they were promptly woken up by a nightmare. No way we should let that happen.
Jackalope didn’t seem opposed to the idea, as it would let him have less work. It was a win-win situation, because the more work they had, the less thinking they had to do.
However, the urge for sleep was pulling on them desperately. They didn’t remember the last time they sleep.
I suppose that I must, lest I randomly pass out. Again.
They sat up from the couch, setting their clipboard next to them.
They walked robotically to the bed, sloppily getting ready for bed and tucking themself under the sheets.
They decidedly didn’t look at the mirror while doing that, of course. We’re not an idiot.
They closed their eyes, but didn’t immediately fall asleep. It was ironic that they would be so tired yet not able to go to sleep.
They attempted sleep anyway.
That was idiotic of them.
After an indeterminable amount of time, they opened their eyes in their darkened room.
A feeling they were being watched clutched at their throat. No, that’s silly. Who would do that? Besides, we locked the door. There’s nobody in here, I’m- we’re just being paranoid.
However, out of some sort of twisted curiosity, they moved their eyes away from the ceiling..
A large black shape was in the middle of the room, slightly swaying.
They tried to get up, but couldn’t. Their body was immobilized by something. That shape wasn’t there before, oh god-
It started to float towards them, and it felt like their point of view shifted up. It slowly inched across the ground, two hanging limbs dragging across the ground.
Those are… those are feet, right?
They looked up, and a chunk of tangled golden-brown hair came from the head of the entity. It came to their bedside, and towered over them in the bed.
A cold sweat ran down their face, and they started to shiver. What? That’s-
Mahiru giggled, and they heard it. It was real.
But, she’s not alive, there’s no way this could be real.
Her hanging body resembled that of her boyfriends; an image subconsciously gifted to them by her MV.
A pale, ghostly hand reached toward their face, brushing their cheek. It felt so, so real.
They looked around the room, trying to find any way out, and ‘she’ started to hum her song. But, it was distorted, off key, and they started to try to cry.
It was a combination of fear and grief, but they couldn’t sob. They could never let it out, simply shaking and feeling the soft whisper of skin against their cheek.
Eventually, the sensation of the hand faded, and they woke with a start.
The first thing they did was scamper from under the bedsheet, as if it was the perpetrators of their distress.
They clutched their knees, and started to weakly sob. They didn’t have the energy or hydration, but they did have the raw emotion.
Oh god, and she seemed happy. That version of Mahiru was happy.
Right before she died, she was injured, and unhappy. She was faking happiness. I put her in such a state that she wanted this release. It’s my fault.
They clutched a pillow, and it simply deflated. I- I can’t do this anymore, but I can’t die.
I’m not going back to sleep. I’m not going back to sleep. I don’t want to see her again.
It’s all my fault.
It was dead quiet, excluding their own pathetic noises of fear and grief. They were so, so tired, but couldn’t go back to sleep.
They stared at some of the unfinished paperwork on the table. I’m having trouble thinking right now, but if I go back to sleep…
They let out another weak sob. I really don’t want to work… We’ve done that all day. But we should, shouldn’t we? It would take the pain away.
They kept clutching onto the pillow, but started to reassure themself of their authority, that it was all going to be okay, but it didn’t work.
The fear that Mahiru would pop up again, the monster would stare at them, remind them of their guilt. Why do I even see her as a monster? That’s horrible.
She just wanted to love people, and look at what we did to her.
The warden heard light footsteps, and hoped that whoever it was would open the door, check on them.
However, that hope was mixed with fear. But, we can’t let people see us like this. I-
They couldn’t repress their tears; not when there were so many. But, they did try to quiet them the best they could. It didn’t work; the attempt was half-hearted.
It was like a cry for help.
The footsteps stopped in front of their door.
Please. Please. But, they couldn’t directly admit it to themself.
They were relieved when they heard a knock on the door, and soon, an inquisitive head popped in. It’s Kotoko.
She’s going to see me like this. I’m not sure how to feel about this.
This is shameful. We can’t be doing this?
But, what do we have to lose? It feels like we won’t survive this any longer. We can’t.
That shut the warden up.
Will she protect me? She’s good with that, but my verdict’s ruined it all, as always.
She slowly stepped closer to them, but they didn’t protest. They were like an injured animal, though untrusting, had to rely on whoever’s around, no matter how they felt about that person.
They were somewhere else, staring at the spot where Mahiru appeared. Will she appear now? Kotoko will abandon me. Maybe she’s just here to admonish me or something.
I would deserve that. But, can the monster appear if she’s here? Am I at least slightly safer in her presence?
She approached their shaking form.
“How does this keep happening to you? Es, you should understand that you can’t keep this up.”
They shook their head, weak voice punctured by their gasping sobs, “But… Mahiru… she’ll come if I… if we try to… I can’t, I-”
The warden decided to stop their speaking before they revealed more weakness.
Kotoko stood over their curled-up, vulnerable form, eyes widened in a mix of anxiety and despair. The walls started to grow eyes, and they further curled into themself. “She, she’s, they’re all…”
Their cries came to be unapologetically louder than necessary, but she still didn’t save them.
Eventually, she overcame some of her own mental barriers, and scraped them off of their place of terror, up into her arms.
It was almost too easy, and they relaxed. She’ll protect me better than we can protect ourself.
She looked down on them. “Why did you do that?”
They passively looked at nothing, cries quieted now that they were safe. “We… we had to work.”
“That’s not helping anything, or anyone. You won’t be rational enough to decide life-changing verdicts. Idiot…”
Es looked ahead, at the eyes that watched them in the walls.
“If we do the work, the more time we do it the better. I don’t have to feel anything when I’m working. Besides, I’m not… I’m not the one that chooses the verdicts, anyways. We-, no, I don’t matter.” Their speech and filter were slurred on their tiredness.
Sleep started to overtake them. I don’t care if this is Kotoko, I’d rather pass out here than on the floor.
She tried to lightly shake them awake, but it was futile. “Wait, the verdicts what?”
They lost consciousness, finally not worrying about working.
I guess she knows now.
I’m not sure how we’re supposed to feel about that.
-
When the warden woke up, they were, of course, back in Shidou’s room. Why do we keep ending up here? This is bothersome, and-
They tried to get up, hazily registering their surroundings, but was stopped. They scowled at the offender, Kotoko, again.
She pushed them, slightly roughly, back down. They tried to resist, but she held them still.
“Es, stop that. You’re only going to hurt yourself more.”
They kept their angry face on, but blocked the light from reaching their tired eyes. This is humiliating. Why is she treating me like a child that can’t take care of themself?
We’re perfectly fine.
Another voice, Shidou Kirisaki, chimed in from the background. His voice sounded a little choked up. “You’re really worrying us, Es. I- please stop doing this.”
Why would they be worried? “Why?”
“Why, what?” Kotoko’s stricter tone of voice.
“Why do you even care? What we do is none of your business. Again, I’m the warden, you’re the prisoners, there’s no reason for this irrational behavior.”
That left the adults in silence, and they let their pounding head adjust to the light the best it could.
They stared over at the two adults, who seemed like an unlikely duo. Didn’t they hate each other last time we checked?
Well, I suppose the verdicts might have changed things. Maybe Kotoko has lost her big ego, good.
Kotoko looked like a mess, her usual hair slightly out of place, and restraints all messed up. Shidou, despite his innocent verdict, looked even more pathetic.
His eyes were puffy from crying, something the warden hadn’t seen much of, other than that one time. Ah, those tears are for Mahiru. That’s right.
The air was thick with tension. Shidou broke the silence. “Es, we care about you.”
That is an outright lie. Does he really care about ‘me’? Or his kids. “No, you don’t. Why would you? All I do is boss you around.”
Kotoko sighed. “Es. Listen. I understand where you’re coming from; I used to be like this, but it didn’t work out for me, you should know.
I wouldn’t want to lose you as a warden, despite- no, um, you’re an adequate warden. Your faith for your… cause, is admirable. I… I guess I don’t want to lose you.”
It must have taken a lot out of her to say that. Some of that seemed genuine, but…
The warden flicked their eyes over her vulnerable self, trying to justify her actions. Wait… The girl in her MV… Ah! I get it now. She just sees me as a weakling, a damsel in distress, out of her childish belief. That’s why she’s caring about me.
To her, we’re something to protect, out of a complex to make her feel better about herself. There’s no way she’d actually care for us. We can’t listen to her and feel vulnerable.
We were so pathetic last night. “I’m not falling for such a fragile pretense, Kotoko. You just see me like a weakling, like that girl, Keiko, was it? You’re no different than that man.”
They pointed at Shidou, who stared at them with a little heartbreak in his unc
This got straight to her heart, and she clenched her fist. “Stop that. That doesn’t matter. Caring about you aside, what about caring about your integrity as warden?”
This caught them off guard, as she brought up their own vulnerability, ignoring them. She’s bringing up the warden thing now. Are we going to survive this without having a mental breakdown?
That didn’t happen last time.
Yes, yes, we got this. Just ignore her words.
“You can’t be a good warden if you keep passing out like that. Even I slept when I was on the hunt; and I wasn’t the epitome of health. Shidou, you’re the health expert here.”
He cleared his throat. Are we just going to get scolded like this? “Alright, you’re 15, right?”
No response. Shidou continued on anyways. “I know full well you haven’t gotten nearly enough sleep in a while. Adults, yes, adults, can barely function on the amount of sleep you’ve been getting. And, you’re not even an adult.”
He shook his head, sighing. “You’ll do your work much faster on the highly recommended 8-10 hours.”
The warden detested this feeling, of being held down for something they knew full well was their fault, so they tried to avoid it. “I-”
Kotoko came to their defense, but also interrupted them, “In their defense… I don’t think their lack of sleep was fully their fault.”
Shidou turned to her, like a parent getting his authority questioned.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure you were having nightmares, right?” Her tone was almost accusatory. This woman…
They stared between her and Shidou, classifying her as ‘insufferable’, the category in which Shidou and Amane already had an annual membership to.
Shidou’s anger melted, which was way worse than his previous anger. “Right… don’t you have to watch murder happen in front of your eyes? I mean, that would be nightmare material for anyone…”
The warden had no sensible defense for that, so they simply sat up while Kotoko was too off-guard to push them down and bunched themself together. “I don’t think that that’s any of your concern.”
“If that’s affecting your sleep quality, a small dose of sleep medication will really help, but… No, I suppose that the situation calls for it.”
I- no, we can’t accept anything non-essential from this man.
We’re losing ourself. We really need to get more sleep, but…
This is self-contradictory. How are we going to get out of this one?
The stress of the situation was unmanageable. But, I can’t rely on anyone. But, I’ll have to rely on someone if I can’t sleep.
Okay, but we can’t cry, too. It’s just what we have to do.
This is so stressful.
They teared up, despite their best wishes. We- I can’t do this anymore.
They started to sniffle, but couldn’t exactly stop their tears. They’re going to see us during the interrogation, and this is all they’re going to think about.
We’re so pathetic, Milgram should just replace-
No, no, what am I thinking? I- we can’t do any of that. We can’t think like that. We are no use to Milgram dead.
Surely if Milgram didn’t want us, they could just get rid of us. Like they did Mahiru’s body.
Her body was never in the garbage, so where else could she have gone.
So, Milgram must care somewhat for me. We’re useful.
No reason to be crying. We’re alright.
Shidou reached out to them, trying to pat them on the shoulder, and they slapped it, as harshly as it could. “Get away from us.”
The cycle restarted.
But, they couldn’t exactly leave. So, they simply hissed threats under their breath, to try their best to get the two interferences away from them.
They’re the causes of this inept weakness.
Kotoko sighed. “Jeez. Listen, we’re not going anywhere, and you can’t even do any lasting damage to us; calm down.” A little bit of bitterness slipped into her voice.
Shidou shook his head, trying to gently approach them, to wipe their tears. They hit him away, truly set off.
Their eyes drooped, but they forced them open. We’re in danger right now. These are murderers.
Though, they did know, deep down, we’re the only danger here, to ourself.
“Es, please, we can’t keep doing this.”
I’m the warden. We’re the warden. We’re the warden. “We’re the warden.” It was a hoarse whisper.
“Christ, they’re insane.” Kotoko looked mildly horrified. “This isn’t Es, isn’t it?”
The two adults stood on opposite sides of their bed, within hitting range, but their reactions were delayed.
The walls began to grow eyes, due to their sleep deprivation. They stared back, as if challenging the audience to question their authority.
The eyes started to close. They’re scared of me, aren’t they? They don’t like me, don’t they?
Will they stop watching now? If they don’t like us, we’ll be rejected as well.
Are we interesting? Are we good entertainment?
That’s our purpose, as the prison warden of Milgram.
They shoved and beat down their last shards of discontentment.
a/n: they literally can’t act tough anymore they’re so sleep deprived 💀#get this kid some therapy that’s not two adults with savior complexes PLEASE-

ok more of this already because i’m so normal. anyway disregarding canon for the 66th hunger games because that’s where i’m putting ghost
(also only bullet points because i might write a whole thing)
cw for usual hunger games things
anyway some hcs/details mostly about ghost’s games (this is long so strap in):
- by this point, it isn’t unheard of for tributes to act unthreatening during the days leading to the games, to maybe have a chance at surprise attacks—which is a strategy simon takes. what is unheard of in recent years, however, is something like simon’s insistence on having no allies. on being a lone wolf. he does it because he always has been alone, in some sense, and he doesn’t trust these other tributes in any capacity to not turn on him.
- his mentor isn’t any help. vernon is nothing but a bitter old man who, in simon’s opinion, didn’t earn his victory. he knows that’s something horrible to say, but it’s true. not with the way he treats simon, and presumably the other previous tributes, too. simon may as well be going in blind.
- the shy, awkward boy act isn’t at all an act. simon’s never been a people person, his outfits all itch, and the feeling of eyes on him has him nervous. paranoid. the upside is that the capitol somehow finds it endearing, which means sponsors. the downside is that, because of the lack of insight into him as a person as a cause of his quiet nature, it leaves too much room for speculation. it’s part of the reason he becomes sought out after winning—the capitol sees a nice face, assumes things that aren’t true, and suddenly he’s stuck as nothing more than a trophy to be passed around.
- he only scores an 8 after evaluation—this is done with intent.
- his arena is a jungle (not unlike the comics.. hint), foliage too thick to navigate with decent speed, and full of muttation insects, reptiles, and amphibians. the trees are too thin to climb or use to hide, and nor are there any caves—essentially, staying on the ground is anyone’s only option. the cornucopia is a large grove, and after the first day, it rains for days straight, until the ninth day.
- simon runs for the cornucopia. he knows it’s stupid, but he also knows how to dodge blows courtesy of his father, so he’s able to grab supplies and get out alive, granted with a few mostly superficial cuts. he knew he needed knives from the start—his most familiar weapon.
- it takes two days before he makes his first kill. it’s too easy, when it’s a girl paralysed and slowly dying from a poison spreading through her, turning her veins an inky black and rotting her skin. simon’s first kill is mercy.
- his second is a career, the boy from 4. the career pack is together when he comes across them, but he finds them first. when the opportunity presents itself and the boy is just separated enough, simon silently appears and slits his throat before disappearing back into the foliage. the rest of the pack only notices they’re missing someone because the cannon fires. none of them ever find out simon had done it.
- stealth ends up his strategy, and it’s what gets him the nickname ghost. he acts like an apparition and is done his work before anyone is the wiser of his actions. he ends up killing 8 of 24 tributes.
- he doesn’t sleep almost the entirety of the games. haunted by his actions, because part of him knows all of it wasn’t necessary. some kills, sure, were to protect himself—but not all of them. some were just to get ahead of the game, and it plants a gnawing guilt in the pit of his stomach.
- simon almost dies when the girl from 7 tries to kill him in the rare time he’s drifted off. he wakes up to an unbearable heat around him, sweat beading off his skin and light behind his eyes and when he’s finally up, he’s burning. she’d lit a fire around himin the hopes it would kill him because she didn’t want the guilt of having actually done the action. he lives—escapes—but suffers burns on part of his face and body that all just contribute more to the nickname. he’d come back from the dead, they all say, but really, he just woke up in the nick of time. but because the capitol still wants him desirable after he wins, to use him, extensive measures and surgery are taken to visibly reverse the damage once the games are over.
- simon wins on the twelfth day using, fittingly, a butcher’s cleaver. he had picked it up around day six off another tribute, and uses it to kill the one other tribute—the boy from 5—after a fight that comes much closer to killing them both than anyone would’ve liked. eventually, though, simon turns out victor.
- his father barely acknowledges him when he comes back. simon returns to work for a bit, despite the insistence that he doesn’t have to, but he needs something to occupy his mind. but then killing cattle and other livestock rears up too much trauma, and he ends up quitting and isolating himself for a while afterwards—but only until president snow had decided to fix him up and sell him to the capitol.
- seven years after his game is when he’s introduced to johnny. immediately, he’s struck by the man as someone he could maybe, maybe eventually trust. johnny isn’t like the man that had made the current transaction for him, or anyone simon had been put with previously, so it’s… nice. for once, he isn’t used. not for his body, anyway.
- when simon thinks he’s seen the last of johnny after that visit, the man puts in another bid for him, one that’d last longer. only to talk, he says, and that this is really the only way he can get him to the capitol. it happens again and again and the most they ever do is kiss during their last visit before simon has to mentor another tribute for the 73rd games, because better him than vernon.
- the visits continue following—they also spend quite a bit of time together during simon’s mentoring, and johnny even helps with getting sponsors—and they fall into something of a relationship, though it’s kept a very well-hidden secret.
- their routine continues until the second rebellion starts up, but that’s another post (or a fic itself) >:)

---
You thought you were fine after the attacks. Maybe not physically, but at least mentally. You hadn’t been sleeping very well as of late, but that couldn’t be because of the killer that plagued your dreams. You were constantly paranoid, but you swore it wasn’t because of the surprise attack that led to you being stabbed by one of the Ghostfaces. You couldn’t make friends because you would never trust them, but there has to be a reason for that other than being betrayed by two of your best friends and your roommate in the span of two years.
Even though you tried to hide it, your sisters knew that something was wrong. You wouldn’t talk to them, which made them even more concerned about your wellbeing. They could see the dark bags under your eyes, and they knew you weren’t getting enough sleep. Tara remembers when she was plagued with nightmares every night. It was after the first attack, right when you guys had moved to New York. She didn’t have them as much anymore, but she remembers being in your exact position. She refused to get help, telling herself that she was fine, and to not be a burden. Those were the consequences of living with your mother. You learned to bottle it up. Push it down. Don’t be a burden.
Sam felt helpless. She thought that you weren’t coming to her for help because you still didn’t trust her, even though she knew that wasn’t the case. Even though that wasn’t the truth, she still had that little voice in the back of her head saying that because she left, you would never fully trust her again. She was finally able to get over this, though, when Tara brought it up as you played one of your noisy video games in your room. If you truly weren’t telling her because of a trust thing, then you would have at least told Tara. Still, the fact that you hadn’t told either of them was concerning all on its own.
They decided that waiting for you to come to them wasn’t going to work. Trying not to completely spring it on you, the two told you that they had to talk about something. You were suspicious, but you gave them the benefit of the doubt. You were really hoping that this wasn’t about what you thought it was, but you had a nagging feeling that they would be bringing up your lasting nighttime issues.
As soon as you sat down at the dining room table, your sisters could tell that your hackles were raised. Tara decided to start, knowing that Sam would push too hard too fast.”Y/N, are you doing okay? We’ve been worried about you.”
Immediately on the defense, you curtly answer, “I’m fine.”
Sam and Tara share a look, knowing they would have to push a little harder to get you open up to them. “We know you haven’t been sleeping. Please, we can help you.” You begin to protest, ready to fight with them until they leave you alone. But when you look up, you see the pleading look in Tara’s eyes, and the concerned and scared look in Sam’s. You sigh, realizing that this had been going on for too long.
“Okay.” Your sisters look at each other, surprised. They weren’t ready for you to give in that easily. “Okay?”
You nod. “Yeah.” You let out a sigh, calming your nerves. “I’ve been having nightmares lately. Like, really bad, really realistic nightmares. About… you know.”
Sam lets out a breath. “Why didn’t you come to us?” You look down at the table, feeling guilty. “I didn’t want to burden either of you. I know that you guys are dealing with stuff too, and you don’t want to add my stupid issues on top of that.” Tara’s chest fills with guilt, wishing that she had tried to help you sooner.
“We’re your family, Y/N. You are allowed to come to us. We want you to come to us.” You finally look up, meeting your sister’s eyes. They see the emotions in your own, prompting them to round the table and wrap you up in their arms. “We love you, okay? And we will always be here for you.”
You nod in acknowledgment, pressing your face further into Sam’s chest. Into her stomach you mumble, “Can I sleep in your bed tonight?” Immediately, the brunette agrees. “Of course. You can sleep with me whenever you want. My room is always open to you, honey. Always.” She can’t see the smile on your face, but Sam can feel it. A similar smile breaks out on her own face.
It may take some work, but you guys would be alright.

The Sticks
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x reader
Word count: 2015
Summary: Wanda needs a favor
A/N: I've been reading too many books about the mafia
Warnings: angst, fluff, minimal violence
You were surprised when Wanda called you only an hour after she left for work. You had been under the impression that she would be too busy to think, let alone take the time to reach out. She’d been working on something big recently, and despite not knowing details, you’d been able to see how it was taking a toll on Wanda.
Whenever she got the chance to lie down for more than a few minutes, she was hardly sleeping. She was drinking more, and not just caffeine either. You were certain that if whatever she was working on didn’t wrap up soon, there would be long term consequences.
You weren’t working because it was Sunday, so when your phone rings only a few minutes after you sit down in front of the television with Boone curled up near your feet, you frown. You stretch over your dog to grab the device and your eyes widen when you see your wife calling. You don’t hesitate to answer.
“Wanda? What’s up?”
You listen carefully as Wanda tells you why she’s calling. Something’s gone wrong and when you can hear the frustration in her voice, you can’t help but wonder who’s going to be fired, or worse, for this.
“I have an extra copy in the large safe. I wouldn’t ask you if it wasn’t an emergency.”
You know for a fact that this is the truth. Wanda’s never asked you to help her with her work before. Even if it was something as insignificant as fetching some documents and delivering them to her, she prefers to have you as far away from her job as possible. You frown at the idea of having to do something like this, but Wanda seems to hear your reluctance through the phone.
“I have someone coming to pick you up, and then someone else will bring the folder to me.”
You wonder why your presence is even necessary. Why can’t you just give the driver the papers and have them deliver them to Wanda? You can’t help but ask this and you hear Wanda begin to sigh before she catches herself. She knows that she’s asking a huge favor and that she needs to be patient. She also needs to convince you that you won’t have to do anything other than play courier.
“No one can see what’s in there. I trust you, Y/n.”
Any hope you had of denying Wanda disappears with her confession and you hold back a sigh as you stand up and roll your shoulders.
“Okay, I need to change, but then I’ll be ready.”
You look down at your dog as you step over him to head to the stairs. Wanda’s thanking you and promising that your ride will be there soon before she hangs up to leave you both to fret about what you’ve just agreed to do. You aren’t surprised that Boone follows you upstairs as you stare at the closet and try to figure out what to wear. You’re not getting out of the car, but you figure you need to look a little more put together than you currently do. Even if it’s just for your driver’s sake.
You throw on a long sleeve shirt and a jacket since it’s fairly cold out. You’re zipping up your jeans when you hear Boone run back downstairs. You figure your ride is here, and you hurry to the spare bedroom that has the ‘large safe’ where you’re hoping you’ll be able to find this supposed red file folder easily.
You hear Boone bark downstairs and you curse as you open the closet and push aside the clothes that hang in front of you. You search for the back wall, and carefully push it to the side to reveal the safe room that Wanda had put in when you were out of town one weekend. She tries to never mention that you have one of these at home because she’s paranoid and doesn’t want anyone to go looking for it. As soon as she said ‘large safe’, you knew what she was referring to. You have one safe in the bedroom and then another on the third floor that you don’t use at all. You’re not even sure if you know the codes, but you honestly don’t mind.
You search your memory for the code to open the room, and get it wrong once before you hear the heavy door unlock. You step back out of habit before the door opens wide enough for you to sneak through. You look around for a moment before you figure out where Wanda keeps some of her secrets. You ignore the many weapons that are at least behind another lock before you set your sights on the desk tucked away in the corner. You’re grateful that the folder is exactly where Wanda said it would be, and you quickly pick it up before heading back toward the door. This room always gives you the creeps, and the less time you spend in it the better.
When you arrive downstairs, you find your dog exactly where you expected him to be. He’s standing at the front door staring out the window at the black SUV that’s waiting in the drive way. You take a deep breath before reaching out for him.
“Do you want to go for a ride, Boone?”
His bark in response is enough to make you smile, and you feel some of your nerves melt away.
Wanda’s stalled for as long as she can. She could only buy so much time by claiming that they’d run over a nail and blew out a tire. It’s not like there were a lot of delays out in the middle of nowhere.
She arrived about half an hour after calling you, and she’s just hoping that she can steer the meeting away from the missing information until you get here. She’s furious that the original courier decided to take another job first and threaten to put her nearly 2 hours behind. She won’t be hiring them again, and as soon as she makes sure her package is secure, she’ll be sending someone to deliver their notice. She hasn’t decided how violent that would be yet.
Steve and Bucky are already here since they helped coordinate the location as well as security for  today’s meeting. Everyone else was either working on different deals, or here in a different capacity, so you really were her only hope. She hated to ask favors like this of you, and she knew that she was going to have to make this up to you. She doubted you wanted to spend your Sunday driving to the sticks.
You feel ridiculous sitting in the middle seat in the back with Boone on one side of you, and the folder sitting in a seat of its own. You had ignored the absurd impulse to buckle it in beside you, and merely set it down and tried to ignore it. You weren’t going to look in it if you could help it, but you had to make sure that it didn’t disappear from your sight.
You weren’t surprised that your driver, a man of few words, was driving a little over the speed limit to get to wherever Wanda was. She really must be on a deadline. You try not to think about this too much as you focus your energy on petting your dog whose head is in your lap. You’re glad that you decided to bring him. Even if you wouldn’t be doing anything particularly intimidating, it was nice to have your dog by your side.
When you arrive almost an hour later, Wanda sees those standing guard shift and their gazes become pensive. She speaks up before anyone has a chance to get too nervous.
“Perfect timing. I believe the last bit of convincing you’ll need has arrived.”
It’s impossible for you to not be intimidated by the sight of three armed guards standing outside a rather small, unassuming building. You hold your breath as one approaches the car, and you reach out to scratch Boone when he starts to growl.
“It’s okay, bud.”
You hope this is the case as your driver lowers the window and you see a pair of dark eyes flit to you and then back to the driver.
“I assume you’re the delivery driver?”
When the man in the front seat nods, the guard offers a wide smile that causes the hair on the back of your neck to stand up.
“Great, well let’s get going.”
When the driver starts to unbuckle his seatbelt the guard frowns and shakes his head before looking back at you. You immediately realize what he’s about to say.
“No, no. Not you. Her. You can bring your mutt.”
The driver’s protests are ignored, and you only have a few seconds before someone’s opening the back door. You take a deep breath and hold up your hand when Boone tries to get past you. You tell him to calm down before you get unbuckled and grab the folder that better be worth at least a few million before you step out into the light.
Boone’s right behind you, and you’re glad that he stays close to you as the man in front of you looks at you curiously. You tighten your hold on the folder as he smiles at you, and you’re wishing that you’d packed Boone’s harness with at least one weapon.
“Let’s not keep the bosses waiting any longer.”
You only nod in response before following his lead. You sincerely hope you’re not being tricked.
The sound of the door opening has everyone turning to the tall brunette who’d left to greet their visitor. Wanda stiffens, and all eyes fall on you and your dog when you walk further into the room, a red folder held in a death grip.
Wanda’s about to stand up and rush over to you when the man across from her smiles widely and waves you over. Steve and Bucky barely resist the urge to draw their weapons, and move toward you when they see how nervous you are.
“Bring that over here, doll.”
You hide your irritation well, but everyone in the room that knows you, sees the way your lips twitch from the conscious effort to keep the grimace off your face. Nevertheless, you walk toward the table where your wife is sitting with a heavyset man who’s wearing an obnoxious amount of gold.
You set the folder down in front of your wife without a word, and she just nods at you before shooting you an apologetic look. You just turn to leave and you miss whatever Wanda says next. Your pulse is pounding in your ears and you just head straight for the exit as fast as you can without looking suspicious or too scared.
You are almost there when you feel someone move behind you and put a hand on your waist. It’s honestly lower than that, and you stiffen before your neutral expression turns to one of disgust.
“-does that sound?”
“Ow, fuck!”
Once again, all eyes are on you as you grab the offending hand and yank it toward you. This causes the man to stumble, but he’s reeling backwards only moments later when your fist collides with his nose. You ignore the pain in your hand and focus on the satisfying crunch and the spurt of blood that accompanies the pained curse.
You watch as the blonde stumbles back and clutches his nose while shooting you a watery glare. You don’t hear Boone growling, or anything else until a loud laugh startles you enough that you return to your senses. You turn to see that Wanda’s glaring at the injured blonde, but your focus quickly shifts to the person who’s laughing at you. Your face flushes until you realize who he’s really laughing at, and you have to stop yourself from smiling smugly as you finally make your exit.
“Alright. You’ve convinced me, Mrs. Maximoff. Where do I sign?”

Four Versus One (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Platonic Yandere Cg!Hamato Brothers x Little!Reader
Warnings-Panic Attack, Drugging, Kidnapping, Being in the Dark, Crying, Paranoia
Notes- Only Donnie and Leo show up in this part but don't worry the other two will be in the next one (also used to be fem pronouns but I changed to they/them)
It had only been a week, but you were still reeling. You were completely paranoid. You had put tape or stickers on every device's camera in your house. You threw out your Tv and decided against replacing it. The only device you still really used after was your phone.
You even spoke to your therapist about what happened. She said you were most likely tired and stressed from taking care of your niece. She told you it was possible that you were both awake and asleep at the same time as that’s something she’s seen patients do before. She also assured you that she believes what you said, but that you were also right in there being a logical reason. You remember she told you to keep track of it, and tell her so you both can see if by chance it’s something more. She tried to calm your fears, but it had felt so real no words could pierce through your doubts.
Your poor niece had wanted to come visit to watch the show again, but you just couldn’t do it. You apologized to your sibling and told them something is going on and you don’t feel comfortable watching their daughter right now. They were surprisingly understanding as they wished you luck on restabilizing.
Your sleep had suffered the most. You were still able to eat; you weren’t afraid that someone would poison you. You were afraid, however, that if you fell asleep someone would come in. You were afraid that you were being watched. You were confident that it wasn’t actually the cartoon turtles. That’s just ridiculous, right? There’s no way the cartoon characters became sentient and actually wanted to be friends. If you were a cartoon character that gained sentience you’d probably want to murder whoever was watching you… That thought does not help your anxiety.
Either way, you were certain someone had to have hacked your Tv. Maybe it was just a prank? Some kids who were way smarter than they should be, who thought it would be funny to screw with a grown adult watching a cartoon. Someone who really wanted to put the fear of god into anyone who bought the disks you did. That was more reasonable.
All these thoughts plague you day in and out. The unknown really proving that it’s one of the things people most fear.
You felt like you were in a box. Your world becoming much smaller than it’s ever been while you hide inside your four walled apartment. You hid in there, but the feeling of being watched prevails. No taping up cameras or removing tech has cured your anxiety.
But, nothing’s happened. No weird phone calls, no more odd videos, and no evidence it was even real.
Despite your fear you began to doubt yourself. What if your therapist was right? You were just partially asleep… Your mind is playing tricks on you and you need to move on.
But, you can’t. It feels too real. It’s in your gut making you sick. Whatever happened, something is wrong.
You lay in your bed. Your back stretched against the blanket and you stare up at the ceiling. You trace the markings as you drown in your thoughts. The lights dimming slowly as the sun sets through your curtains. You’ll have to turn on the lights soon.
Every part of your being screams for rest. Your body exhausted from the damage your mind is doing. Your arms are raised over your head crossing at the wrist. You’re comfortable, but you can’t sleep. It’s too early, and even if it was late you wouldn’t be able to calm yourself enough.
One week, and you can still remember word for word what they said. You can remember how despite being drawings their eyes burned holes through your very beings. If you hadn’t been so aware of how nonsensical the thought is you’d think that the cartoons really could see you. That they really could hear you. That they really did want to hold a conversation.
Those thoughts make you feel a tad bit guilty. If they had been real you had not only immediately freaked out, but you also destroyed the only form of communication they had. The turtles said such kind words too. They seemed so excited and so loving. It was like they were talking to a loved one, someone they couldn’t wait to be with.
If you weren’t so paranoid you’d miss those comforting words. The way they seemed to actually care. The feeling of being a child. Someone to be protected and cared for…
The light in your room was almost gone. You braced yourself to get up. Ready to bring the unnatural brightness into your room.
Going to flick the switch you pause as you hear something break. A loud shattering filling the living room and bouncing on the apartment's walls. Panic floods your system and you freeze. You don’t even release a breath as you hear movement.
You knew it, whatever happened the other day was a precursor! You're doomed to die by the hands of a maniac! You should’ve been more careful. What if your niece is also a target?! You didn’t want to die, not yet!
“Be more careful.” You hear a voice hiss out.
“Well sorry,” Another voice answered. “How am I supposed to see when all the lights are off! Why are all the lights off!?” The other man whisper-yells.
You feel your lungs burn in your chest as adrenaline fills your body. You don’t dare to move yet. You have a better chance of running if they go into the spare room first.
You zoned back into their conversation hoping you can make a dash soon.
“They could’ve also heard you and now they're terrified and hiding somewhere.” One of them says smoothly with annoyance.
“Whatever dude, let's just get our kid and go home.” You could practically hear the man's eyes roll.
As soon as you heard movement you hid behind the bedroom door, hoping they didn’t notice. The bed to the guest room couldn’t be seen from the door, but your bedroom’s bed could, so you prayed they’d check the other room first.
Someone was listening to you because they did. You heard them enter the other room and quickly ran slamming the guest door. The men shout on the other side as you bolt towards your entrance.
You get to your front door and unlock it. Sadly, you are too late because as soon as you open the door something grabs you and pulls you back. Something metal slams the door closed again. You scream as loud as you can. You get pulled against something and something green slams itself over your mouth. You wiggle and fight back but the grip on you is much too strong and only ends up making the person tighten.
“Will you stop it?” The voice questions from directly behind you. They sounded more worried and stressed than dangerous.
As much as you wanted to comply not to anger them, you refused to give in so quickly.
“Ok, ok. Maybe we do need it Donnie.” The voice says with defeat.
Are they still pretending to be the cartoo-
Your brain pauses and so does your body as the second comes into view.
Donatello. The actual Donatello stood in front of you. Syringe in hand and an indescribable look on his face. You couldn’t believe your eyes.
The dark was playing tricks on you! This wasn’t real! You're in danger and to calm yourself down your brain made them cartoons! Right?! Right?!
Your breathing picked up and tears rolled heavily down your cheeks. Your grip on the arm holding you tightened. You grabbed at it to ground yourself. None of this was real… None of this was real.
Your eyes met the purple clad turtles. He looked down at you as you turned your eyes away rapidly. This couldn’t be happening.
That’s the dumbest thought ever! You were NOT being kidnapped by The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
“Will you calm down yourself or do we need to sedate you?” Donatello asks you.
Your eyes snap back to his as you try to regulate your breathing. Wide eyes staring at unreadable ones.
The other hand moved from your lips but didn’t let go of your waist. With the new chance to see the other you turn as best as you can. You stare doe like as your eyes meet Leonardo’s.
“Look, there are those pretty eyes!” He exclaims happily, like he’s talking to a child.
You step back and he lets you. You take a few more only to run into the other turtle who lands his hands on your shoulders.
You look down and shake your head. “This isn’t real. This isn’t happening. Wake up,” You raised your hands and hit your face. “Wake up,” Hit. “Wake up,” Hit. “Wake up!”
Your panic is stopped by your hands being grabbed. The darker turtle holding them tightly. Leonardo looks at you with worry.
“I know this is all really scary for you, but I promise we’re not gonna hurt you okay?” He reassures you.
“It’s not real. It’s not.” You repeat shaking your head.
“It most certainly is.” Donatello replies. “I know it seems completely illogical, but all of this is very, very, that’s two verys, real.”
Swallowing thickly you raise your head up to look at the one in front of you.
“How- how is this happening?” You shake violently where you stand. “This shouldn’t be possible, it’s not, it’s not possible.” You cry out to them.
“How bout you leave how to us, huh?” The slider asks. “I know it’s all a lot to take in and you must be soo scared~” He seemed to coo at you. “But we’re gonna have so much fun together and you’re going to be so happy! Everything is going to be great!” He tells you happily.
You shake your head at him. “I don’t- I don’t want- I- please leave me alone.” You sob out.
Leonardo seems to panic at this and you feel Donatello move behind you.
Your panic drives them to calm you down the best way they know how. A prick piercing your skin as you cry. A few more moments and you watch as the world fades in and out only to go black.
You’re cries die in your throat as you drift off and are carried to your new home.

Dear Darling
Ugh, another night of dealing with absolute morons.
The sun started to rise to stir the ones who were deep in their slumber. The early morning air bites at (y/n)'s skin as she made her way home from her shift at the bar. It seemed like she has been working nonstop lately. No matter how many times she requested more time off or less hours her boss just kept adding hours to her schedule. Not that she should be complaining, she did get a nice raise to her paycheck and well, the tips she gets throughout the night sure doesn't hurt her pockets. Besides, she'd rather be there than at home where her safe place started become hell. With the money she was saving (y/n) should be able to move to a different city. If she was smart enough and saved a little bit more money she could even move into a more secured building where you needed a residential identification or a guest pass to go past the lobby. She was starting to become paranoid with everything and everyone. No matter what it was, whether it was just a cup that was moved slightly or a misplaced spice she used the night prior her brain automatically jumped to "intruder". Once there was even a jacket that was left on her couch that she KNEW didn’t belong to her or anyone she knew. Only, once she finally convinced her friend to come over to see that (y/n) wasn’t going crazy due to stress, the jacket was gone. As if it was never there in the first place. Soon after that incident when (y/n) was out running errands or coming home from work if someone kept looking at her or what going in the same direction too long for her liking she automatically thought they had to be her stalker. All because of those stupid letters. Before they started appearing on her nightstand every morning her life was well...not perfect per se but definitely much better than what it is now.
Entering her humble apartment (y/n) made her way to the bathroom to wash last night off of her, the amount of patrons who felt the need to touch her made her feel dirty. Maybe it was the feeling of hot water cascading down her skin that made her sit in the shower for far longer than what was necessary, or maybe it was her subconsciously trying to avoid the bedroom. The room that was once her safe haven. The one place that once was able  to make her thoughts calm down, now it was the source of her uneasy head. No matter what she couldn’t figure out who was tormenting her like this  No one was taking her concerns seriously, not without having proof. (Y/n) did try to set up cameras. Specifically one at her front door, balcony door, and in her bedroom, but when she went to look at the footage of the times she wasn’t at home or sleeping everything was deleted and she wasn’t able to recover any of it. The memory of the camera that was installed in her bedroom sitting on her kitchen table with a note that read “nice try dear:) you have to be more clever than that to catch a glimpse of me ;)”.
If only dear (y/n) was this observent before. If she was this aware of her surroundings and alert when she was out and about she wouldn't be dealing with this. If she was as vigilant before she would have noticed the man who was constantly staring her at the club she worked at. Surely she would’ve realized that the original owner seemed to vanish and the new one had more of an interest of her. So much so he kept scheduling her to work longer and more hours. What a shame she didn’t even realize that the one person who was making her life miserable was so so close. Dear sweet (y/n), she was never truly safe.
'How silly of me to think he would skip a day'
Grabbing the envelope off of my nightstand, taking note of the smell radiating off of it. The thought of the sender spritzing his cologne on it makes my stomach uneasy. Do I really want to open this? I already know that if I do read it all its going to do is add on to my the already growing paranoia. After staring at the red seal I decided to go against my better judgment I slowly open the bane of my existence.
                 My dearest love,
Oh how I yearn to feel the sensation of your skin, to hear your siren voice call out to me, to hold you close to me as I whisper sweet nothing into your ear, to have you shake with pure pleasure. Fret not my darling, for soon I will come and rescue you from the nightmare you live in. However, I ask of you to not judge me for my appearance for my heart is much purer than what shows. You will have to worry or want for nothing once you're in my arms. I will love you until my dying breath. My dear sweet sweet (y/n), be ready. For once I have you in my grasp I fear I will not be able to let you go. Knowing your silly little head my go into panic just know that I have eyes and ears everywhere. I am patient and know that I wouldn't harm you in any way, but I can't say that your friends or family will be safe if you were to do anything stupid. I know my baby is smart. I know you won't do something you'll come to regret.
        See you soon dear.
Shit. I knew I shouldn't have read that stupid letter-well if I didn't I wouldn't have known that he apparently plans on taking kidnapping me. Shit. I have to call the cops. I have to tell someone but who would even believe me. The police didn't even care when I reported someone breaking in and leaving these letters. If anything they're probably in cahoots with my fucking stalker. I mean, how else would he have known I reported him. Just thinking of the underling threat he left brings a sense of dread. Maybe if I leave town he can't get me? How am I suppose to do that undetected though. He obviously knows my work schedule so me not showing up tonight will surely tip him off that I left. Shit. What did I do to deserve this? Who's attention did I attract?
Glancing at the alarm clock I take a deep breath and head towards my medicine cabinet. I need to take something to let me sleep so I can go into work tonight. The letter never states when he's coming but there's no point fighting or hiding. Maybe if I just act like I never read that letter I can pretend that my life is normal. Besides, I may have more time to figure out what I'm going to do before the inevitable happens. Popping a few melatonin gummies I made my way to my bed. Weird, those tasted different than what they normally do. A lot less chewier too...maybe I'm overthinking it. I do need some sleep. After last night and that weird ass letter I deserve some shut eye before going through this all over again tomorrow morning.
-
Well damn, my head feels fuzzy. What time is it? It's dark...did my alarm not go off? I know I have it set? Why do my blankets feel different....this bed feels different too...oh well there goes my vision-
"Baby girl, it's time to wake up. You've been asleep for too long. Travis! How much chloral hydrate did you put in those gummies of hers? She knocked the fuck out." Feeling a hand rubbing my cheek a rush of adrenaline goes through me as I try to sit up. What the actual-
"Breathe baby, breathe. You're okay. It's okay, here focus on me. Yeah? Atta girl. Keep your eyes on me. That's my girl, now now I know you're probably wondering what going on, but I did tell you I was going to pick you up and take you home. Now I'm not going to get into details and show you around your new home quite yet since you're probably still a little groggy but don't worry. Once you're awake and ready I'll tell you everything you need to know and introduce you to your new family. God, I waited too long to hold you." Why can't I move? I keep trying to say something and yet I can't. Fuck I'm so tired, why does it feel like my body isn't connected to my brain?
"It's rude to ignore your husband-sorry soon to he husband-when he's talking to you baby. I know you're wondering what's going on and but you're obviously still tired. So lets go back to sleep, yeah? Don't be difficult babe, I'd rather not have to drug you again, I don't like seeing you like that"
No no no no no I don't...want to...go...back....to...sleep.
Dear darling,
When you awake you might be confused and afraid. Don’t worry, I’ll be back shortly. I have some things to take care of. There's water and some medicine on the kitchen island for you. Be a good girl.
Love you lots,
Adonis M. Corleone
Oh baby girl, just having you asleep beside me is pure bliss. I’m sorry I had to drug you, it was the only way to get you home safe without having to worry about you seeing where you were going. You are the light I need in my life. With all the blood on my hands, all the crimes I have committed, everything has been for you. After watching and waiting for years I finally have you in my arms. If you try to leave I’ll kill anyone in the way. My (y/n), you will be the perfect wife. The perfect mother. The perfect piece to our family. After all, behind every successful man is a beautiful woman taking care of him. Once I get your family out of the way, we will be truly happy. I’m so proud of you for not running away from me. You proved to me that not only are you strong but smart as well. You knew better than to disobey me and for that I won’t necessarily kill your family. I’ll just make sure they know not to look for you.
