erm. well. let's just say when it comes to dealing with other people's emotions, he's not really the best guy to depend on...

BUT considering he spent years by himself (and rhonda) with no other socialization, plus leaving his brothers behind and coming back to them after awhile out of conscious but seeing them nowhere to be found, he definitely felt lonely and HAD his own breakdowns before.

so he'd understand how you're feeling, or at least try to understand.

when he first saw you breaking down, his first instinct was to ask you questions "why are you breaking down?" "did something happen?"

if he doesn't get a reply from you, he'll respect your boundaries and not ask any further questions. he'll just focus on comforting you in the present, awkwardly patting your back and giving you words of affirmation that he thinks would work. like those motivational phrases or quotes online, maybe even those ones that facebook moms use.

if you do give a reply, he'll sit down next to you and hear you out. sipping a drink and lending his ears for you to vent. he'll keep quiet (internally, he's restraining himself from outing his own opinions on whatever you vented to him about).

In summary, he's a listener. If you let him voice his own opinions, he'll tell you his thoughts and views. more often than not, if he does give advice, it's probably best you don't actually follow them. I feel like he's bad at giving advice...

this troll has a wife and kids. I'm sure he's knowledgeable in comforting someone when they are breaking down or overthinks a lot.

if you're overthinking, he'll support you and keep you company but he's also honest that helps you actually evaluate your overthinking thoughts and not stress too much about them.

once you come to him looking vulnerable, he'll immediately try to soothe you by rubbing your back gently. yk like those back rubs that puts babies to sleep? yeah, he'll do that.

while he rubs your back, he urges you to take a deep breath and let it all out. so you do. unknowingly you ranted and ranted, every little detail spoken word to word. he just has that affect on people.

lets you know that what you're going through is valid.

once you're all done, he'll give you advice to ease you or if you're not looking for advice, he'll just comfort you until you feel better.

he literally is in a sad book club, he'll have the knowledge about it and how to deal with it. except...he's slightly bad at executing it.

he'll snap you out of overthinking by yelling positive stuff to you, that are actually...effective???

if you rant to him, he'll listen to you attentively and pat your head afterwards. it's just something natural that he does, honestly head pats are soothing ok.

if you're okay with physical touch, he'll caress your face while giving you actually reassuring words. (LIKE. have you SEEN him literally pinching and squishing branch's face when he first met him after 20 years?!) of course, it's effective, combined with his already nice vibe (I feel like he naturally has a healing presence, he's just a sweet little boring cutie)

his method of comforting you naturally makes you feel better. he doesn't have to try hard because just watching his body language and mannerisms are dorky enough that it'll make you smile. he's unknowingly comforting in a silly dorky way. even with how badly he persists to be a very "serious" guy.

he's literally called the sensitive one. out of the brothers, he's definitely the one who understands you the most.

I don't think I even need to explain, you already know how perfect he is with dealing with stuff like that. like the time he talked to veneer about how his sister treats him and how he shouldn't let her be like that to him.

his face is full of worry if he sees you in a vulnerable state.

he literally gives the best hugs, it's canon, I know it's canon.

he feels upset, if you're upset. he's all frowny when he sees you vulnerable.

OMG Can i? This is my first request you can bet Sukunas masochism i can! Originally i had no idea what to write and then i had 17 ideas.

Then i began writing couldn’t save it as a draft it got deleted so now here’s the second idea i had.

It’s not often someone steals Sukunas attention but you do it with ease.

At first he’s annoyed by the way you stare at him with a deadpan gaze. No thoughts, no emotions just gaze.

He’s used to either fear, adoration or lust but you just give him a blank stare it’s torture…he kind of likes it.

• He likes listening to you read, sing and cook you do those things with such passion it engulfs you to the point of you forgetting he’s there.

That’s when he takes the time to Admire  your hair, dark pink curls that resemble the soft texture of cotton Candy… kinda smells like it to. (It’s vanilla) 

and no matter how many times you swat his hand away he cant help it…its pretty. Like you.

He’s infatuated and how dare you not be equally infatuated with him as he is with you?!

You get lots of…gifts. The head of a goat, skull of…something and the blood of your enemies. You don’t want to question how he got any of these things.

“What? Why do you not look happy?” He questions yet youre speechless unaware of the same dead gaze you’re still giving him. He cant read it but he knows its not joy.

“I shower it with gifts and yet still no emotions, these human things are so confusing”

This results in you biting his hand. 

He likes having his hair played in, he won’t say it aloud but the soft groans he lets out that turn into snores is all the confirmation you needed.

Imagine how angry he was waking up to an empty bed, hair not being played with to see you talking to one of the guards in the middle of the night.

“Jealousy doesnt suit you, king Sukuna” and he hates when you call him that as if you were nothing more than just a servant and he meant nothing to you.

He uses all 4 arms to make sure he doesnt wake up in the mornings without you. Sometimes he’ll peak one if his eyes open and it’s never long before you feel his gaze and smile.

“Im still here… Now go to sleep before i poke you in your eye” Did you just threaten him? He smirks turning his head the other way… he wasnt willing to risk that.

You sometimes wondered if being asexual bothered him… it didn’t. He like that someone just wanted to spend time with him no fear, no lust, no requirements to do or be anything.

Especially after a long day of being king he just wants to rant about how annoying everyone is especially you since you weren’t there because you were soooo busy.

You went shopping with uraume, who seemed to like you for Sukuna. Though After spending the day with uraume you understood why they were bestfriends. Uraume was equally as unhinged just quiet.

He hates when you use your pointer fingers to direct his frown literally upside down. And your giggle that you let out… he needs to punch something— or turn away so you cant see him actually smile.

When it comes to dates he takes you to grand places he’s not a date person. He heard you talk about stars once so he takes you to the top of the castle and explains each constellation watching the way you hold onto every word with fascination.

Or he shows you his domain for the first time and tells you about war stories and as you look around at the piles of skeletons you notice this may be where he got the skull he gave you as a piece of him. 

You realize he might have a crush on you.

Or the day he avoids you completely after you yelled at him about plucking a fish from water just because only to wake you up at 2am to show you the koi fish pond he had installed with so many different colored fish.

Hes shocked when your tiny body hugs him, laughing in pure excitement before leaning over the lake admiring each and every fish.

Its when you turn back to him the same adoration on your face this time aimed at him that his brain lags for a second. He finally… FINALLY got what he’s been wanting for so long.

and like the greedy man he is he wants more vowing to say yes to whatever you want.

He doesnt process you running back into his arms with pure excitement until you speak.

“Can we get more? I think a bigger lake. Sukuna could you imagine a wall in our bedroom with these fish? Or a secret mini pond in the throne room that can only be accessed by us” 

And the sounds of we, our bedroom and us along with the way your bright eyes gaze up happily and hopefully at him makes his insides hot. 

You never talked about the status of your relationship but he was yours the moment you gazed at him with that deadpan expression. And the way his name rolled off your lips through your razor sharp teeth infatuated does nothing to explain how he feels about you.

You remember the night when Penelope started acting a bit weird, more sharp and a bit distanced, but it quickly went away as you again got close to your best-friend….You remember when she confessed that she wasn’t actually Penelope but a lady named Siyeon Cha in her body, yet still the love you always had for her didn’t fade away, even if the lady you loved wasn’t her, but someone else, you accepted it but you could never move on from it….

You remember her always rambling about how she hated the crown prince, Callisto Regulus, and how after she went missing from the hunting competition and how after she was at the court, she confessed the words you had dreaded to hear from all through your friendship

“Yes, me and the crown prince are in love with each-other!”…..What?…No….She hadn’t told you anything about it…..But she never really lied to you….so it was the truth. How could you be stupid enough to think that she will love like in those romantic novels? As after the trial, she walked towards you and thanked you and Vinter for supporting her in the trial, before she gave a few words to her brothers and walked away from you with her back turned towards you….You remember how her hateful ramblings about the crown prince turned into love-filled rants and soon how he proposed to her.

You could never muster up the courage to tell her about your love for her and now you’re regretting it, as you helped her pick shoes and a wedding dress, you remember how when she introduced you to Callisto and left you both alone for a second, he put his sword on your neck and threatened you that if you’d try to betray her, upset her or talk bad about her behind her back, your body would be so messed up they won’t be able to recognize you…As you tried to convince him about your loyalty towards her while tears were prickling and almost falling down your eyes as he pressed his swords against your throat harder, drawing a bit of blood, before you heard Penelope’s heels clack through the marble floor as he let go of you and asked you get out, as you immediately ran out the room and left the place with horrible tears falling down your eyes and covering your cheeks…

You remember Penelope scolding Callisto after you told her about his inspection on you, leaving the important detail of how he almost killed you because his sword had put a cut on your throat, Callisto asked for your forgiveness sincerely and you couldn’t do anything except forgive and try to forget…Through the scolding and his apology, they both didn’t notice the bandage around your neck, they both were too busy telling you about what their wedding banquet was going look like and look after each-other with love-filled eyes, those eyes of Penelope you wished were directed towards you and not the crown-prince…

As you tried to shake off the feeling of betrayal and devastation, and finally try to let go of your feelings for her and try to be happy for her, your best-friend not your crush…. After an hour or two had passed, you three had quite a few drinks now, luckily Penelope could handle her alcohol well, Yvonne had fallen asleep and you were drunk rambling to her about random things…

a little bit of background context, im trans and everyone in my school thinks im bi. im not sure how that happened but literally everyone thinks it.

anyway, today's rant is gonna be about this guy that I go to school with, he's christian right but i'm not letting the excuse anything he's said or done because i'm catholic and i don't act like this. basically he's bi but he says that he doesn't agree with trans people because it's against his religion even though his religions also technically against gay people and he decides to make this everyone's problem. i used to sit next to him in english lit and this was around the time I had a crush on this person who was the year above and also went to the same drama organisation that me and this boy went to. so they went by they them pronouns and everyone knew that, so obviously I would be using they them pronouns when I talked about them. an every single time I used their pronouns, the boy would kick off about how they then doesn't exist and it's just fake. eventually I got over my crush on that person and I started crushing heavily on my now girlfriend, @killerqueeen777 and as I said in the background context he thought I was bi and I explained him that I wasn't bo but I didn't give like a full rundown of what my sexuality was so I think you just assumed that I was straight because I'd been out with a lot more boys than girls. and at this point he still thinks that I'm a girl. so anyway I talk about via a lot in class and he actually like gets mad at me he's like oh you're not bi youre not a lesbian to why are you crushing on a girl, at this point I've stopped talking to him because I'm not giving him the time of day considering I've come out to him as trans before. but then he starts to bring up the topic of gender during our lessons, like without me bringing up any of my non-binary friends he'll waffle on about how non-binary isn't real. one day I have had enough of it after he says that there's only two genders, and I turn to him and I'm like what that intersex people. So, a couple of months ago, I accidentally stumbled upon this lucemond fic that completely rearranged my chakras. Thing is I tried to find it recently but couldn't, so perhaps the author deleted it, which is such a pity because it was truly spectacular. I don't remember a whole lot bc it was late at night when I read it (thinking I would come back to it later), but it was very much surreal poetry body horror. I am not a gore girly at all, but the language was mesmerising. I happen to have sent my bf a few snippets for shock value (also not a gore enjoyer), so I can share the little of it I saved:

When he puts the blade to his tongue no taste but that of his own blood stains the quivering muscle.

If the author of this fic happens upon this post, I'd just want to let you know your talent with words was very appreciated. 🙏

Returning to the topic, I would definitely keep this element and lean into the horror aspect. I'd keep some background jace/luke as vibes, with aegond on the opposing side to make it as spicy and convoluted as possible. (It took me ages to remember I have a jaceluke tag since I hid it so well from team black I ended up hiding it from myself, too. Updated my tags list with this occasion lest we forget!)

Readers of my blog will know by now that I sometimes go on rants about The Magnus Archives, but, bear with me, I think we could borrow some elements to make lucemond really extra fucky. So, within the TMA universe, there are several entities that govern different sets of fears and the one I like the most and the one I think fits really well here is The Beholding - so lots of eye imagery, the fear of being perceived, of secrets being revealed, of forbidden/awful knowledge, of knowledge that would destroy you, of being exposed or shamed or judged. The problem I have with Luke (which permeates a lot into lucemond fics) is that he's so fucking boring and milquetoast & doesn't really react / isn't affected enough by the events surrounding him, so much so that it kind of turns him borderline sociopathic, just in the most boring way possible. So let's give him some internal conflict!

I would give Luke a serious case of scopophobia, basically turn him into the perfect victim for the Beholding. Make him realise deep down that he's a bastard and how much danger he's in because of his mother's lies and gaslighting. Make him terrified of becoming Lord of Driftmark, like actively paranoid some Velaryon cousin is going to slash his throat in his sleep or something (maybe even Rhaena??) Have that intensify after Vaemond's execution, because now the blacks have already spilled first blood in his name. Have him feel increasingly isolated from his family because they feel like he's exaggerating and don't really grasp the gravity of the situation - in addition to more gentle gaslighting done by Rhaenyra, who thinks this is the proper way to assuage his fears (even ridiculous stuff like how he shares blood with Borros Baratheon via Rhaenys), and more violent type of suppression by Jace, who absolutely does not want to hear about how they're bastards and everybody knows about it. So the fear of being perceived, of his "secrets" being revealed, only worse, because they're already out in the open, so what he really fears is shame and judgment, which could come at any minute. Any person could at any time start pointing out what an obvious bastard he is and the entire foundation of his life would start cracking.

This intense fear of judgment would be where lucemond comes into play. Aemond as a person he actively harmed, an act that he did his best to sweep under the rug, absolutely horrified to face him, because that would mean facing his actual crimes; the punishment/retribution for that would have to be immense and he's not in a proper headspace to handle that. When he finally sees Aemond again, fighting fit and ready to go, all those feelings of inadequacy would come crashing down. Aemond casting his single eye of furious judgment on Luke, painfully aware of each and every one of Luke's flaws and planning his wrathful comeuppance!

In TMA, I really enjoyed the statements where The Eye would terrorize their victim* because I personally found it hilarious, so I think I'd try to recreate that dynamic a bit between Aemond and Luke. Whether it veers into body horror and violence or remains at the promise of violence and psychological torment, I think there's a lot to explore in a funky, novel way that doesn't involve this unearned Romeo and Juliet binomial.

If you're really intent on turning this sexual, I think an under-discussed aspect of the eye-gouging is how Luke essentially gave Aemond a huge disadvantage when it comes to participating in traditional masculinity, something that we know Aemond cares a lot about - being a model Targaryen prince, having the depth perception necessary to ride his dragon, his martial prowess, even him being suitably attractive to the opposite sex. It wouldn't be outrageous to presume all of these new issues halted Aemond's sexual and social development and that it would make him feel Some Kind of Vengeful Way about it that would maybe manifest itself not in a very socially-appropriate way. Like, mayhaps, wanting Luke to undergo similar pains? ☠

For Aemond's side, I stumbled on this tik tok once that really encapsulates the kind of vibes I think would be really fun to play with. A corruption arc, being consumed by vengeance, allowing yourself to give into your worst impulses, contemplating the nature of justice etc.

For the aegond bit mentioned above, I really like this idea. Luke pondering which is worse: facing Aemond directly or being decimated by his big brother, who he himself once looked up to.

I kind of feel you, because, I might sound old but, I literally cannot help but laugh when my Mama tells me that I look 16, and says that I shouldn't dress mature, or when I'm working in the high school department of my school, and I feel like the students there sometimes mistake me for their batchmate...

Like, it's a blessing and a curse. I mean, what happens when I'm thirty and I still look like I'm in my 20s? 😅 Am I supposed to still dress in my usual signature clothes that I wear when I'm literally in my 20s or do I update? Because, I don't think people will take me seriously if I don't dress the part.

I honestly don't mind, because a lot would kill to look younger, but, maybe it's the fact that mental maturity really is a thing, I'm 50/50 on the judgement of young looking people not allowed to date people a little older looking than them, when in fact they're either slightly or more older or even the same age just aged, thing. You know?

God, now I'm reflecting on myself 😆 and this isn't your fault, An🫶n.

well I call my dog a puppy still, and he loves giving kisses.. so mission accomplished!

Scout: fancy?  oh hell yeah he can do fancy.  he can run laps around fancy, no one will have known what fancy was until he walks in the room!  he’s cock of the walk until he looks at the menu.  and then he’s leaning over and asking Spy what each thing is.  he’s the fancy-pants of the group, help a guy out here!

Soldier: he has to be reminded to lower his voice numerous times or else they’re going to be kicked out.  all that does is start a rant about how he’d like to see them try and he’ll take them all on.  and if Spy happens to get caught in the crossfire, then it’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make!  someone orders for him during this and apologizes for their friend’s behavior - he’s never been out in public before..

Pyro: they do surprisingly well.  everyone is impressed.  their table gets many looks for having someone decked out in a gasmask and rubber suit (and another in a ski mask) sitting with them.  they don’t order anything to eat, since that would require them to remove their mask and they’re not willing to do that in public.  instead after they leave, whoever is driving Pyro takes them through a drive-thru and lets them take something back to the base

Demoman: he’s admittedly a bit nervous, taking extra time to make sure he looks the part.  and once he gets there, he’s an absolute gentleman the entire time.  the waiter does ask about the eyepatch, and their portion of the restaurant quiets down to listen to his tale.  it helps relax him after that and for the remainder of the night, he’s chatting with other tables and staff

Heavy: he’s never been to a fancy place like this before.  he knows how to act regardless but he’s not quite accustomed to this type of setting.  everything seems so tiny, and the menu confuses him.  he winds up ordering whatever Medic gets, it seems like the safest bet.  he’s quiet for the rest of the evening, more people watching - both other patrons and his own teammates.  he’s just impressed they weren’t kicked out almost immediately

Engineer: he does fine, he’s not thrilled about the idea but he does fine overall.  he knows how to handle himself in professional settings, he’s been to many fancy dinners with people he works for.  he’s just not a fan of the stuffy attitude that comes with it.  he’s very polite to the staff and tries to chat with the others to keep the mood high

Medic: he rolls his eyes when they’re ordered to go.  he loathes the idea but if he must.  he dresses excellently and plays the part quite well.  he complains under his breath about how this is cutting into his lab work and criticizes the entire menu.  he spends the majority of the night complaining in German to Heavy, who is nodding quietly and letting him let it all out

Sniper: he didn’t even have anything to wear!  he hates it but he handles it just fine.  he’s just tense and was ready to go the moment they walked in.  it’s too posh for his liking, he’s never heard of a place not showing the prices on the menu!  he settles enough to at least enjoy the steak he’d ordered

Spy: he fits right in, this is nothing to him.  he’s been to many Michelin Star establishments as well as worked int kitchens himself for jobs.  the others envy how at home he seems.  he’s very critical about his food however.  even if this isn’t on his dime and the company is paying for it, he will not tolerate simply decent food.  he may not cause a scene, but he won’t be recommending it to anyone if it’s not to his liking

it was relaxing, at most times.

watching a myriad of colors paint itself across the sky, burning hot, yet somehow also cool enough to douse the fire of thoughts running around in your head.

the colors would then dim down into the night, always leaving you feeling better and more clearheaded than you had started.

yet, even as the chill of the fall wind ate away at your body, your mind was still unable to douse its thoughts, leaving you feeling a bit troubled.

it was hard to place a finger on what you were troubled about; it was only some vague idea that you still had yet to put into words. maybe you were still trying to figure it out when he has called out to you that day.

“are…are you alright?”

“huh?”

turning your head to the side, you saw a boy standing on the balcony next to you, looking at you with a rather���angry look on his face, (how was his facial expression so diffferent from the concern that had been laced in his voice before?).

taking a bit of a closer look though, despite the expression on his face, you could now tell that there was a bit of concern in his face, although maybe not evident at first glance.

“um…” realizing you had been staring, you looked over to the side, a bit embarrassed that you had been staring at him so openly.

“sorry. but um, yes, im alright,”

“it…seemed like there was something on your mind. you can tell me if you want to.”

it was from then on that you started to become friends with the boy who lived next door to you. everyday, without fail, the two of you would watch the sunset from your balconies and talk, (although it was mostly you, since he didn’t seem to be much of a talker).

in the days after your first meeting with him, you learned that his name is souya kawata, and that his nickname was angry because of the expression that seemed to naturally make its way into his face.

you also learned that he had a twin brother, nahoya, who was nicknamed smiley, and that together they were a part of the tokyo manji gang. it had definitely come as a surprise that somebody who was as nice and quiet as he was was a part of a gang, but hey, who were you to judge?

and so, your friendship with souya continued to blossom beautifully.

he really was a great listener, always nodding and listening carefully to you rant on about whatever it was that was plaguing your mind. even when you didn’t feel like talking, the two of you would just standing on your balconies and not say a word. it was never awkward for some reason; it was always natural.

however, it was hard to ignore your growing feelings. you knew perfectly well what it was; the way your heart would skip a beat every time you looked at him, the way you would always sneak glances at him when he wasn’t looking, the way he made you feel.

nothing you could do about it though, so better to just let it go.

“hey, you mind if i join you over there instead?” you grinned at him when he hesitantly shook his head no, probably expecting for you to go around through the door.

when you started to climb over the railing of your balcony, he immediately called your name, rushing over to try to stop you.

“oh chill out, i’ve done this a million-!”

even thinking back on it, you’re not really sure how you slipped.

it wasn’t a lie that you had done it a million times; your best friend lived in the apartment on the opposite side, and you would do it all the time to freak them out.

so, why did you slip?

maybe it was because in that very moment, you saw the look of sheer fear in his eyes, and it shocked you.

“(y-y/n)!” with his hand firmly locked around your wrist that you lost grip, he hurriedly pulled you over with a surprising amount of strength, pulling you so hard that you both fell over onto the ground.

“ugh…”

“(y/n)! are you alright?!” hearing his voice from beneath you, you mumbled that you were alright, still a bit confused on what had just happened.

a few moments later, you were finally able to sit up, trying to get your bearings.

“um…(y-y/n), you’re-“

“woah, looks like i interrupted something, you sneaky little bastards!”

“huh…” looking around, you realized that you were…sitting on top of souya, who was looking to the side with flushed cheeks. nahoya was looking at the two of you from the screen door, cheeky smile on his face, (or maybe disgusted, you couldn’t really tell).

quickly getting off of him, you could feel your heart thumping, embarrassment flooding through you.

“ah, sorry! i didn’t realize…”

“well, i’ll leave you two alone, but no getting frisky on the balcony, okay~?” shutting the screen door, you were left with your embarrassment and souya, who was still recovering from having you on top of him, looking anywhere but your direction.

“you should be more careful…” even though he wasn’t looking at you, you could hear the worry in his voice, making you feel a little bad for worrying him.

“ah, right, yes. sorry.” tears of shame started to well up in your eyes, and you cursed yourself for it, trying to swipe them away before he could notice.

“maybe we should check if you got hurt- (y/n)?! what’s wrong?”

suddenly looking at you with those blue eyes, they glanced at your arms and legs, trying to see if there was some sort of injury he hadn’t noticed.

CLEMMMM one of my fav characters honestly... also i checked off adoption papers but best friend bestie papers also work. SEE i was playing s3 w max and he was like "im a clementine apologist" and im NOT her moral greyness in s4 IS MY FAVORITE FUCKING THING EVEERRRRR mcarrol ranch. RAHHHHH OH MY GODDDDD all my thoughts about her are, to be completely fair, recycled thoughts from much more competent anaylitcsists (thats not a word but i dont care) BUT still i could regurgitate those recycled points for HOURSSS i love her sm. ALSO she doesnt REALLY work better as part of a dynamic im moreso referencing her parallels with aj and lee GGRAAAAAAHHHH LEE AJ PARALELL im very easily pleased.

hmmm janeee... this is where my popular opinion differsss. ok so my thoughts on kenny (this isnt about kenny but kennys impportant when talking abt my feelings on jane) rlly shifted when i watched the video "we dont talk about kenny" or some shit BASICALLY making the claim kennys role in s2 is that of an abusive stepfather. i didnt agree w all their points but its what shifted my view on kenny. (altho my view on kennys shifted AGAIN after playing s2 but youll see that in a sec) when it came to jane tho a lot of the comments were complaining that jane was "just as bad", and the vid doesnt mention her enough. so thats the belief i adopted

UNTILLL i played s2 and thought. no. no shes not nearly as bad as kenny imo. jane has commitment issues forged by trauma which is why shes hesitant to connect w the group and leaves on impulse. she knows what its like to get hurt. but the fandom constantly mischaracterizes this as jane not caring about anyone but herself (probably cuz kenny said it... just sayingg....) and that pisses me off. you cannot claim jane, who killed someone who wasnt directly attacking her the first time for clementine, who pulled clementine out of the ice and was the most concerned with saving her life, who came back after being 2009 emo furry levels of a loner just for clementine didnt care about clementine. she totally did!! she was real with clementine, warning her about love and loss to protect her.

shes totally not justified at all in ep 5 tho. and shes not justified in everything she does! ever! shes morally grey and i like her but i think it just comes back to the ass writing of s2. they wanted a conflict between luke and kenny (new vs old family) but then were like "shit how can we kill one of them!" and decided to bring hotheaded, flaky jane in to KILL A BABY so she would be on the same moral playing field as kenny. which she ISNT thats DEFINITELY A LOT WORSE!! so of COURSE a lot of people hate jane. but idk i think shes mischaracterized a lot which leads to hate for the wrong reasons. it almost feels kinda?? misogynistic at times?? people who are adamant kenny, who has violent rage fits due to his trauma, is justified in doing so but jane being emotionally distant, or dare i say, "a bitch" bc of her trauma is out of line... i see yall...

ayyy bingo!!! oh i got bingo on jane too i just didnt notice oops. OK so kennys section is gonna be as long as janes so before i ramble about that i wanna clarify the dynamic part: kennys whole thing is loyalty and i think his best moments are when hes with other people. theres not one specific kenny + another character dynamic i like, i just think kenny is best when hes w people.

kenny... clenches fist. i mentioned in my jane rant how the "why we dont talk about kenny" video changed my perspective of him. and yeah! it did! i dont like kenny in s2 specifically. i think they fucked up his character for the sake of pointless angst and where we couldve gotten an arc about cycles of trauma or healing or literally just kenny-based-fanservice instead we got a pissing competition between him and jane of who could take out their trauma on the other more violently. kenny particularly gets me bc personally, im a big doormat! i walk on eggshells for people. s2 kenny is the type you need to walk on eggshells for. and thats not healthy. i think kennys statement about jane in the truck is wrong, and i think hers is wrong too, but... i mean shes a LITTLE right. the people around kenny ARE scared of him. he (I THINK) recognizes his actions to clementine but seemingly doesnt take an effort to really change them... he just mopes around and then beats up teenagers. its exhausting.

but i dont think its right to call kenny an abusive stepdad. hes not as bad as i expected, to be frank. hes just really poorly written. he is in heavy grief over his familys death, and theres something that can be done with that, but it isnt. he stagnates until it escalates to a final confrontation- which would work in theory if the confrontation wasnt over the death of an infant, like regular kenny would still totally kill her ITS BABY MURDER IT DOESNT WORKKK- and ends. at least closed-off jane opens up occasionally, she isnt totally stuck at the same point like kenny is. kenny recognizes his problems, but when hes with people he acts the same. itd be like if jane kept telling clementine "i think i will open my heart and be less afraid to accept people into my life" and then left the group again. i could probably say more but ive been typing this for like an hour at least im gonna end it here. kenny my beloved but also i hate you

(altho one thing i do love abt kenny is how no matter what ending u choose he assures u it was the right choice... i think thats sweet. just bc im a big kenny critic doesnt mean i dont still have a big attachment to him)

anyways w/ all this out of the way please note these are all my opinions if anything is inaccurate dont come at me... im simply sharing my perceptions of my favorite little game

My portfolio is bleeeeeeeding

I was about to pull out profits a week ago, and the little voice in my ear said “no, it’ll blow up as soon as you do.

I listened to that voice and I’m praying it wasn’t some asshole hedgie ghost playing with my emotions.

I held. I hold. My portfolio is dying, but you only lose if you sell, right? Right? Right? 😂

Regardless, I’m proud of my coin choices. I did my own research, I bought projects with merit. I’ll keep DCAing through this dip, I just pray that’s what it is.

Let this be a dip. Not crypto winter. I’ll hold either way, but damn would it be nice to have some money in the bank. Less credit card debt. More money to invest, and to enjoy some moments with my family.

TL:DR

It sucks right now for crypto. I’m praying for a bounce back. Either way, I’m not leaving.

I’m working, nose to the grindstone. I’ll keep buying, even as it drops. I’ll DCA and believe in my choices.

If you had enough conviction to buy a coin, have as much conviction to hold it through the storm. Add to your bag if you can. Not financial advice, but common frigging sense.

Keep up the fight. I truly believe crypto is the future. However long it takes to blow up, I’ll use that time to build my stash. We are still very early. Most people know nothing of crypto. Imagine when the masses find out. Think of the money that pours in when adoption is widespread. If I’m wrong, tell me. I love a debate. But for me, wait it out. I’ll weather this storm for the gains I know I’ll see. Patience is 🔑
