adding "punk" to my list of words now used unrecognizably by people 10+ years younger than me
this isn't even about all those "punk ideals" or "punk politics" posts (lmfao), literally just talking about clicking on a video for a song described as "punk" & hearing some incredibly overproduced pop-rock with butter-smooth vocals
#maybe the problem is i spent my teen years at hardcore & ska shows with people who would shit on me for listening to anything on the radio#i was never actually a punk kid i was a lonely post-punk/new wave goth#but i wanted to fit in so i listened to the distillers because brody had a hot voice
