This show was like--it was so cute and I was SCREAMING and GIGGLING in my damn dorm room looking like a crazy woman--my roommates hate me. I was up till 2am....It's okay. They would understand if they WATCHED THIS DAMN SHOW UGH

I don't typically watch romance animes or really much straight-up romance so this was wayyyy out of my zone of normal interest but like--ehehehehee it was so good and now I'm on the hunt for more romance animes

ALSO it wasn't just straight-up romance!! There was ✨Magic ✨

I just LOVE how they communicated with each other even after the big reveal of "lol I have mind-reading powers please don't hate me" and OF COURSE KUROSAWA ISNT GONNA HATE YOU ADACHI HES SO FAR IN LOVE WITH YOU NOTHING CAN CHANGE THAT ITS HONESTLY SO FUCKING SICKLY SWEET--MAKING MY TEETH ROT OVER HERE

Also I thought it was so funny every time Adachi was like "Wow--he's really handsome.....AH but like in a bro way. Like--I'm jealous of him lololol obviously" and I'm just like yeah....Obviously.....but too relatable Ooof

And their little SLEEP OVERS and Kurosawa TAKING CARE OF Adachi like AHHHHHHHHHHHAHDGJAHJ

I honestly really enjoyed this show like so much more than I thought I was and I can't stop giggling about it lololol

I might need to check out the live-action version.....maybe pick up the manga......i really liked this story sorryyyyy

Anyway AMAZING show I give it 10/10 stars and I want what they have

i love how consistent cherry magic is with what attracts kurosawa to adachi. he's obsessed with adachi's bedhead not just because it's cute but because it's a sign of imperfection and what's more, of not caring about imperfection. that's something he can truly admire. it's also the one major characteristic kurosawa needs someone to have in order to feel like he could ever actually let down his guard and be himself around them. there's a reason kurosawa fell in love with adachi the moment adachi showed himself capable of both 1) noticing kurosawa's imperfection and 2) actually thinking better of him for it.

kurosawa's perfection is a screen for his insecurities, his attempt to deserve the attention and opportunities he fears he would receive anyway because of his natural good looks. but no one is actually perfect, and pretending to be perfect while knowing you're not just makes intimacy and actual self-esteem impossible. this is itself a character flaw, an area for growth, and kurosawa is drawn to the person that to him embodies freedom from this trap. bedhead is avoidable; adachi could fix his hair before he comes to work, but he doesn't. he lets everyone see that he didn't fix his hair. to kurosawa, adachi's bedhead represents an apathy for the concept of perfection that is not only refreshing and enviable but also the quality he most needs in a partner, in order to feel truly seen and truly free to accept himself, warts and all.

Thinking about the fallen angel AU, thinking about kurosawa probably being a top angel like he's the top salesman, thinking about him having the favor of the gods, thinking about how none of that mattered once they ripped adachi from his life, thinking about how he couldn't let go of how painful it was to lose him, thinking about how he'd defy heaven to search for him because heaven just isn't the same without him, thinking about how heaven was only heaven to kurosawa if adachi’s there with him, thinking about how his obsession and devotion towards his fellow angel and the need to have him always by his side was stronger than his devotion to any god, thinking about how the author of this damn series really just said "Oh y'know how kurosawa is insane? What if I made him capable of inhuman levels of devotion"
