𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4] A big hulking figure followed by the sound of rattling metal chains as he walks...It would make anyone tremble with fear. Celestia knows what lies under that helmet, but you can rest assured that The Captain is fairly merciful to all. It's just a simple matter of being courteous and following orders. Dare I even say it... one thing that I've heard and observed from the grapevine- is that he's one of the more popular Harbingers... if the bold statements from my comrades are anything to go by.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4] Contrary to belief, the Prime Doctore is a completely sane man. His younger segments, not so much. His experiments have killed hundreds, and I'm sure he would continue if it wouldn't threaten Regrator's profits. He works a little too closely with Lord Regrator, which is bad enough for me. I can't stand it when he asks me to keep their struck deals and the Doctor's activities under wraps... but I do it anyway. I'd be happier if they were never in the same room together, but apparently, those two make 'quite the pair' if I had to quote some rumors.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4] Her reputation as dangerous, even among the Harbingers, should suggest you steer clear of her. I once made the mistake of catching her closed gaze while I was at the palace- and a nasty feeling of paranoia plagued me for days on end. However, if you end up under her radar and she deems you 'interesting'... well- I'll send you my condolences.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘯𝘢𝘷𝘦 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4]

The Knave, Arlecchino... she's quite the enigma. While she and Lord Regrator are both Harbingers, their demeanors, methods, and goals cannot be more distinct. Her methods, to say the least, are a touch... extreme. There's no denying her skills as a master manipulator and ruthless 'Father' of the House of the Hearth. It's certainly an improvement from the late Crucabena, or so I've heard from the older orphans. But then again, I haven't noticed any changes in the mortality rate of her... "children".

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4]

The old Rooster's influence can be found throughout Snezhnaya, and his connections are vast. He seems to be on good terms with Regrator, but that's the only thing I'm sure of. He serves as an advisor to the Fatui Harbingers, and his assistance goes beyond the scope of his political power. I suspect there's something important that he may be working on, but I have no idea where to start… They say he's a master strategist, but his only plans involve making a show that impresses a crowd. I only hope the next time he assembles the Harbingers together, it will be over his casket.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4]

Sandrone is the head of a team of engineers who build mechanical lifeforms. Some are small and cute, others gigantic and powerful... but all are emotionless and unfeeling. When I hear the word "creation" I think of beauty and passion, but Sandrone seems to only care about destruction. Just like the mech that carries her around. You'd never see her alone; it's as if the puppet is her true identity.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘦 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4]

Tartaglia, or Childe as some people call him, He definitely has the strength of a Harbinger, that much is undeniable. But he can be impulsive, even downright suicidal at times. It's as if he has no fear of dying. I guess that's what happens when you live for the thrill of the battle. I can't deny that... Even though he's a loudmouth, his skills back up his words. I've seen him cut through enemies as if they were made of butter. That being said, he's still young at heart. Occasionally disruptive for the duties carried out. He's developed an interest in dueling with me ever since Pantalone granted me this title. Lucky for me, I can always request for Regrator's presence whenever I want him to turn tail and disappear.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘓𝘢𝘥𝘺 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4]

The first time I saw Signora, I was struck by her beauty and gracefulness. Unfortunately, my admiration was short-lived as she turned to glare at me the moment she noticed. Arrogance. Ego. Self-conceit- now those are mere words when it comes to the Fair Lady. She was as cold as the snow that covers Snezhnaya and as temperamental as the flames she wielded. She had no tolerance for the weak and would just as easily snuff out a life without a second thought. Although I hold no love for her, I almost felt disrespected on her behalf when the Rooster thought to grant only half a day of mourning at her funeral.

𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳: 𝘐

The Northland Bank is a place of opportunity, a place where you can put your destiny into your own hands... and a place where you can see it stripped from you without warning. I have seen many people come and go in my time here. People from all walks of life, eager to make a name for themselves. Some have found the money and fortune they sought after, while others have fallen flat on their faces.

𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳: 𝘐𝘐 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 3]

I've seen countless conflicts waged with blood and steel, and they pale in comparison to the lives destroyed by the pen. They're both weapons in their own ways. The sword is more direct, no question about it. Yet the pen... it can cut in a more subtle manner, but it slices deep. Both are capable of ruining someone's life. The former requires power while the latter requires intelligence. Really brings out the irony in calling this feathered quill my 'signature' weapon.

𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳: 𝘐𝘐𝘐 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4]

To the untrained eye, it may seem like some sort of cruel joke. A title like ‘Venator Dux’ is usually given to one who would strike fear in their enemies and inspire confidence in their allies. Lord Regrator, however, has a different plan in mind. Pantalone sees me not as a ruthless warrior, but as the keeper of his secrets. Someone who can wield knowledge as a weapon and turn his enemies’ greed against them. To him, the title of ‘Venator Dux’ is a reminder of my duty. In his words, I was a useful piece that could shift the entire board on his whim. And isn't that something to take pride in? Knowing you're the most favored player in a man's game?

𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳: 𝘐𝘝 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 5]

My father died a proud soldier under the tsaritsa's name. He fought and bled on behalf of the nation she created and dedicated his life to protecting. *Sigh* My father would be ashamed if he could see me now, kneeling before a man. Especially after cursing his grave out for dying under another. The irony is not lost on me. Yet, I would rather serve a man who I respect, who I can reason with, than one who demands endless devotion from her subjects. In a strange way, I feel as though I am honouring my father's memory by following my own path.

𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳: 𝘝 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 6]

Hilarious to think back to my first year of duty. I was no more than a simple receptionist at the Northland Bank back then. Just another faceless pawn, doing my duty to the tsaritsa without questioning her intentions. All I knew was that I was serving the Fatui's goals. I did not kill anyone directly, yet I still had blood on my hands. Every transaction carried the potential for loss and pain, yet I pushed on regardless. I may have been just a receptionist, but I was already well aware of the cost of ambition. Pantalone then, was different from everyone else I'd met in the Fatui. He didn't use force of arms like the other Harbingers; instead, he used his words and intellect to manipulate the political landscape.

In addition, he held a unique perspective on the tsaritsa's ideals. Not once did he preach about blind devotion. He simply told me that if I wanted to make my mark on this world, I would have to be willing to play by his rules. It took me three years to realize what he insinuated... and I found myself gravitating back to him despite leaving the organization of my own accord.

𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳'𝘴 𝘏𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴 Playing the piano, perhaps? I'm no good at it yet... but I've been getting better with some help guiding my hand around the keys. It is... nice to unwind after a long day and let the instrument carry me away.

𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳'𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 [Unlocked at Friendship Lv. 4] *Sigh*... I have to be diplomatic with people I despise and feign politeness with those who can’t hold a conversation to save their lives. Sometimes- when I’m in the middle of running an important operation, few of my juniors just keep making mistakes. It makes me wonder how Lord Regrator manages to do the same for days on end with a smile on his face... I'm not like him at all.

𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥 I've got a soft spot for a well-seasoned dish of meat. Any kind really— A hearty serving does wonders. Leaves you delightfully stuffed full, satisfied, and warm. I'm not too worried about the specifics of the dish as long as I can savor a mouthful of rich flavor.

𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥 Desserts that are too sweet are an affront to my tastebuds and moral values. Sugar is supposed to be an element, not the whole personality. The only thing that does it well is dark chocolate.

I'm a busy man, so let's keep today's adventure short.

based off that one voiceline from albedo's teapot lines:

"Is there anything else your interested in?"

"Hmm.. probably you."

Now, you weren't somebody who spent day and night on your teapot, but you had done a good deal of building on the several places given within it. Whether it be a complicated and complex village, or a simple water fountain.

But what you were clearly more interested in than any of that was voicelines. Unlocking your favorite characters, being excited whenever your friendship level went up enough, it was far more rewarding. So with your newer pulled characters at a high enough friendship level, you went to go through his voicelines. Who is he, you might ask? Well, it would be Albedo, of course.

You were over by an area that you had created just to put a character in, and he happened to be that character. Going through his newly unlocked voicelines as if it was almost routine, yet you were still just as happy to hear your favorite's voice. The lines were about hobbies in a way, and within the conversation, you were given the usual option of what to say. When you stopped to pick an option of what to say, you chose the option that read:

"Is there anything else your interested in?"

And with that, you were given an awfully unexpected answer.

"Hmm... probably you."

Now, you knew that in this context he was referring to something completely appropriate, but you couldn't help but think if it was out of context. I mean, he had just indirectly said that he was interested in you, or the traveler at least. So without your better judgement in the way, you let your dumb thoughts run unabated. And with that, you face started feeling just a little bit more hot than before. Mumbling to yourself, you said your thoughts aloud,

"y'know bedo that sounds really wrong out of context..."

And a small snicker at your own remark to go along with it. Now, unbeknownst to you, Albedo heard every syllable of that. But obviously, he wasn't aware of what you intended my that. But with only a few seconds thought, he found himself understanding exactly what you meant. Now that was fine of course, until you added another small, and slightly bold, remark.

"I dont mind though"

Along with more muffled laughter in to what he assumed was your pillow. And with that, he realized just exactly what you were implying.

And so for the nth time throughout the game, he found himself avoiding the screen as an attempt to ignore his ever growing red face.

I mean, you had nonchalantly said you loved him before, but he knew you weren't implying anything directly.

But you clearly were now. And he silently thanked the heavens for you not staring at his face right now, because he could have well done and broke the code if you did.

The Memory of You; Beginning, Mean, End 

“I wish I’d never been born at all” 

That was the thought that remained in SCARAMOUCHE’s mind when he had entered the Iminsul, and it had granted his wish. 

But in a different way than he could’ve ever expected. 

Standing in the middle of a pavement–markings he could not recognize and surroundings so unlike the ones he had ever seen. He had traveled to all of the lands of Teyvat, but never had he encountered such gigantic glass buildings and weirdly shaped lights and… are those carts? Carts with glasses, shaped like windows–what is it? Is it a new invention by someone from Fontaine that he had no idea of? 

He restricts himself from speaking as he silently observes his surroundings; it was dark, stars nowhere to be found and not a single person around, high signages at the same height as the buildings, filled with words he could read but does not understand its purpose, and faces of people that he could tell from a glance is quite odd for someone–or anyone from Teyvat could ever do. 

He must be in another world.

It was December, and you were freezing. 

“Can’t believe you’re still playing that game, Y/n. And all for one character!” 

You scoffed with a laugh, eyes strained on the screen display as you replied to the microphone of your earplugs, “Funny. Says the one who’s waiting for Ayato’s rerun banner just because she first played right after his first one.” 

“Hey! That’s foul!” you could hear your friend shout over the receiver, which only caused you to laugh even more. 

“Poor you. Now, I can get Scaramouche but you still don’t have your Yashiro Commissioner.” 

“Hmp! I want to say you won’t get your Scara today but you even loaded a bunch of genesis crystals for him. Your dedication outranks any Scara simp I know.” 

“I’m probably the only Scara simp you know, dumbass,” you pull away and lean onto your seat, eyes closing and sighing heavily. 

It was time. 

“So? You got him?” 

“Not yet,” you say, once again opening your eyes and clicking the Wish button–a single pull, and next, and then another one. 

“How much pity are you in now?” 

“Uh… pretty sure I’m on 40. Oh my god-” 

“What? What?!” 

“It’s gold! Oh fuck… I got him…” 

“You got him?!” 

“Yeah… I got him.” 

“Well, isn’t that a good thing?”

“It’s so weird…” 

“Why? What’s weird?” your friend caught on just as she hears your weak voice. “Is this about the story or you? I haven’t finished the quest yet though so I might not have any idea what you’re going to say.”

“Yeah, there’s this constant headache I get just from playing this patch. I think I should log off but…” your eyes drift to the screen and as if you expected someone to return your gaze, they land on Scaramouche’s back, leaving him idle in the meantime. 

“Then you should rest! Y/n, it’s not good for your health to force yourself.” 

“Yeah…” you absentmindedly mutter, only to ignore what your friend’s voice was saying, along with your mind, leaning forward and pressing on the profile button, seeing Scaramouche’s face along with the rest of his profile. You head on to his Profile and click on his Voicelines, only finding a few as you haven’t really leveled your Friendship with him yet. 

Click. 

“You want me to introduce myself? I've gone by many names and titles during my journey. Although each one is more eminent than any ordinary mortal could imagine, they're all just water under the bridge to me now. Call me whatever you like. Go ahead, let me see what you can come up with. Don't disappoint me.”

“Mouche, you said your name is Mouche, right? Like legit? That’s a pretty unique name,”

Your voice echoed in your mind–or was it really? How can you not even remember uttering such words nor to who you uttered them, and when exactly? 

Your eyes trail up to the screen, searing pain in the side of your head palpitating still, urging you to press and massage with your  hand over them, in hopes of easing the ache even for a bit. 

Pretty purple eyes–one that you swear you might have seen somewhere with someone else. In this world, however, such a thing is rare, and you’ve never really met anyone with purple eyes–probably cosplayers, but why is it that no matter how you rack your mind for something or someone, you could not find it. 

“You and I have crossed paths in the past, but our journeys will eventually diverge. Who knows what will happen next? Let's just wait and see.”

His voice echoes in your mind, almost as if it is something you’ve heard before. 

Of course, you’ve heard of this character’s voice before, you’ve played for quite a while and he had also appeared in a lot of quests, especially in the Sumeru Archon Quest. But…

Nevermind. 

You chose to ignore your aches as you went through each and every single voiceline of his that you can unlock and before you know it… 

“Wait, I can… hear them without unlocking?” you stopped in your tracks right after accidentally clicking on one of the locked voice lines. 

Shrugging to yourself, thinking it probably was just a glitch, you went on and tried to hear the rest of the locked voice lines, smiling to yourself at how you could possibly be so lucky on encountering such a glitch–it’s better to do them now that the company still haven’t noticed and fixed it yet. It didn’t seem to be something that big of an issue though, you might be able to see YouTube or TikTok videos later on about how they experienced the same glitch. 

Unbeknownst to you, however, no one else did. 

There was no glitch at all. 

At least, none that was caused by the game itself.

It was like fluttering his eyes open in the middle of cold water and rising from the depths of the sea to reach the light and inhale a large chunk of breath, burning his throat but awakening his lungs. 

It was like that when he came back to his own world—he who was called Mouche, was The Balladeer and Kunikuzushi, but now… nothing. No one. He is no one. 

As he stared at the empty, dark skies, rain blurring his eyes as it got stuck to his lashes, clothes drenched by the never-ending storm, he who has had many names do not remember anything. 

“Where… am I?” 

Surprised by his own voice, he blinks away from the doom of the heavens and looks around to land his purple eyes right upon each of the trees, the bushes, and everything that he could see under the haze of the misty weather. He was but a man, a blank slate, no name, an empty mind. 

Who am I?

The words die down in his throat with a question that held no answers. 

Then it came: the voice–one voice. 

“Who are you?” (it came, weak but clear enough for him to assume that it was coming from somewhere near him)

“Someone who knows you very well.” (but apparently, it wasn’t, as he hears his own voice without him even speaking–it was all in his head.) 

Whoever the other voice was, it was the one that urged him to stand up and breathe again–take in the air after unknowingly holding his breath. 

He might be an empty slate, but this voice (your voice) filled the gaps of his craving to know, to find the memories that he had lost–his memories of you.

I just saw your post about Heizou's inspiration and I just have to say THANK YOU for bringing it to my attention 🥺 i knew he had to be inspired by someone more specific than Sherlock Holmes but didn't find anything. Also saw that you like 4 star characters! Who are your faves aside from our dear detective? And why? And what do you think of the most recent 4* Sethos? If you don't mind me asking. I'm glad my post reached its intended audience! It should be me the one to thank everyone who liked and shared it (even if this post doesn't reach them, I'm still grateful!), I honestly thought it would sink into the abyss because I don't have a lot of followers (and I don't intend to become a big blog or anything lol I like the coziness of small blogs), but I'm glad people liked it and too thought I was onto something.

Also, YES I LOVE 4 STARS. I think that the fact that my main is Noelle says a lot about me. They are very fun to play, since I'm not really meta and as long as my team can do some damage to bosses, it's fine. They also have like the best designs in general IMHO and the fact that you can go through the game rolling like Sayu or looking like a kitty box with Kirara is so. much. fun!!! Also their kits are really creative! Sure, they might not be as cool as 5 star characters (since they get animations. Barbara you are so real for being the only 4 star with an animated brust), but I think they are pretty neat (like Lynette with her dash or Candace with her shield, I LOVE USING IT). I also like that you can get free skins, since I am a f2p and dirt poor lol

I'm going to say that Heizou is one of my favorites, I was so happy seeing him in the last Inazuma event! Pretty boy has an elegant handwriting. +90 dmg I will never recover. I can say sooo many things about him. I will not because I can become an annoying yapper LMAO Just to say that I love that he is like the first male catalyst (we all know scara/wanderer is the first™, but like, released) and he is physical while also disliking physical confrontations lolol I love him.

As I said, I love Noelle (hoyo make my girl an official knight. or else.), but also other characters like Xingqiu, GAMING MY DEAREST, Amber, Kaeya, Lisa, Razor, Fremi, Beidou, Mika, Charlotte, Kaveh my beloved... You get me lol, I really like most of them (I'm a bit sad since I really like their designs and backstory, but I do not really use cryo as much as I would like to). I only have positive things to say about 4 stars, I feel like they are the ones who have a more compelling storytelling and backstory because the devs can deviate more from the main story without it really suffering, and usually new 4 stars are used for integrating 5 stars into the game (Yun Jin) or storylines (Sethos). And I don't mind that, because usually we players get a lot of new interations and I live for that. Gimme more pls. Like, I need Gaming and Sethos to interact and be friends. Do you see the vision??

And about Sethos, HE IS VERY FUN. I love that you can adapt his playing style either with normal shots or elemental brust (I think he is the first archer whose kit gets benefited if you upgrade his normal shot even before his skill or even brust??), and I'm having a lot of fun building Yaoyao and Yae Miko (cameo of a 5 stars asdhjsdh), and mixing him with Xingqiu or Furina. On a less technical note, tho, I love his backstory and I'm taking pleasure in maining him for a while to get friendship points (I'm sure Noelle appreciates the break, so I can revisit her build again). I think the thing I like the most is that he finds Cyno funny (he is and I will die in this hill) and there's a voiceline about how dinners must be a blast, which complements Cyno's voiceline about saving his best jokes for group dinners. Your honor I love their interactions aaaaaaa He is one of my new favorite 4 stars. I also like that their relationship is like: extroverted gets adopted by the introverted and not the other way around lolol poor Cyno, Sethos is too busy to play Genius Invokation with him.

he pulls for every character banner but he doesn't c6 them unless the character really interests him. (his pulling for zhongli was so memorable because he had to suffer with getting an off banner every other 5* so his zhongli cons were all guaranteed).

he's a shameless kaeya main with fischl as his sub dps (his fischl is a monster, electro support and deadly in oz's summoning damage.) he thinks diluc is cool but doesn't like his playstyle unlike kaeya's. he's rocking with that physical build and r5 aquila favonia on kaeya too. (marius also thinks he's hotter than diluc so that's another reason on why he mains kaeya)

the story of genshin also interests him but overall he's just a whale.

but sometimes he does some painting streams and all that! it's usually held at really late hours (past midnight) and it'll probably just last for a good hour or two.

a headcanon about kaeya to be honest i think that he knew straight away that the only reliable way to stay in ragnvindr family’s good graces would be to support diluc as a friend and as his right hand because otherwise he might have been relegated to elzer's role (who also says that crepus was like a father to him haha)

so, by becoming a reliable companion to diluc kaeya secured his place! before the falling out they give me a strong impression of a kind of duo where kaeya focused on following and not challenging diluc in any way, leading to a very surface-level relationship like, naive & righteous young man and his trusty and more wise to the world sidekick emotional attachments were still inevitable though, especially seen from kaeya's side so far

like imagine, nice rich people took you in, the father has a beloved son who's going to inherit everything plus a ton of servants (and you also have an undetermined mission for a fallen kingdom) would you just try to do your own thing and follow your own dreams, inevitably falling outside of the family’s circle? orrr would you try to befriend the successor of the family fortune and become indispensable to him and his career growth?  i don't think he had much of a choice there tbh! either be friends with diluc or prepare yourself for a lack of support network or get ready for regular servant life in the winery/try to build your own life somewhere else (arguably he didn’t even do that after diluc left since he had already become a knight to support diluc and then just persisted in that career, taking diluc’s former position... kaeya doesn’t seem to be a very proactive character tbh and that’s going to bite him sometime soon) 

i would really enjoy a twist where crepus was fully aware of what kaeya was and just intended to also use that in addition to whatever his delusion backup plans were, so there was really no need for kaeya to try so hard but also really im much more skeptical of diluc rn because from my point of view it seems like he's gotten so used to kaeya having his back that he easily slides back into that same dynamic once he returns to mondstadt? in the comic he attacks the guy who kaeya tricked to go down to the cellar and then just follows kaeya’s plan to save collei he still doesn't actually have to do anything back, kaeya does aaaall the emotional work for him all the time, asking for attention, for mutual plans, for help during jean’s quest etc  they still can kind of guess each other's intentions and thoughts, sure diluc still finishes his sentences in the windblume quest, for example unfortunately that doesn't mean that diluc understands or likes kaeya much:(  in his quest he truly thought that kaeya was about to get back at him by revealing his batman-sona (he wasn’t) and the voiceline he has about him is just suggesting that the traveler shouldn’t trust him  diluc doesn’t mention kaeya anywhere else either, not even in that long message on cat tail’s messageboard

tf are ‘friends’ diluc (in the original it’s just ‘friendship’, not much better,, like yeah yeah he probably means jean and kaeya, but do we know that for sure)  but anyway this seems like more confirmation that despite being sworn brothers their relationship wasn’t actually that deep and that diluc didn’t get to know kaeya *that* well

and yes! even if it was just brief cameos i’m glad they brought a lot of characters in; really helps build the world especially seeing the friendships between certain characters! i know we got a spoiler in the trailer but i was so excited to just see like. diluc/kayea/rosaria together hahaha. and razor and bennet are so cute!! i think people already knew they were friends from their voicelines? but actually seeing them hang out together/interact really solidifies it. 

oh nice i’m not the only one who isn’t a fan of the freefalling one LMAO the others were a lot of fun tho <3 and yeah the dandelions are definitely really pretty!!!

ahh yeah i think with claymore users i tend to really focus more on their elemental skills/burst than them actually fighting lmao. like with chongyun at least he has a pretty fast cooldown compared to how long his skill lasts and just switch out with another character meanwhile. polearms are fun as well and xiao has been GREAT but i think i was also off put by how little damage my xiangling was doing when i first tried out polearms lmaooo

chongyun and xingqiu are really the best i love them so much... people keep comparing them to buzzfeed unsolved which i honestly haven’t really seen much of but it makes SO much sense especially since their whole thing is like. chongyun looking for evil spirits and xingqiu giving him shitty leads jasdkflsa. 

also idk if you’ve seen this but apparently the tassels they wear on their visions are friendship tassels they gifted each other and JDAFKLAJSKLFDSJ THAT’S SO CUTE GODDD

and yeah!!! again with the diluc/kayea/rosaria group i really want a storyline surrounding those 3 specifically lmao they seem so fun. i actually didn’t realize the similarities between kaeya and rosaria are until they were put together but aside from kaeya being more. idk flirty/extroverted lmao they actually have sort of similar like. idk. vibes? roles? jobs? way about doing things? and cryo users ofc

I love your characterization of Hanzo! I've probably told you that before, but I do! What intrigues me, though, is the way you portray him essentially idolizing his s/o, seeing them as more of a deity gracing him with their presence and attention than his partner. Is there any particular reason for that? I feel like it could lead to an interesting exchange in a future prompt, or maybe an unfortunate abuse of power on the s/o's end.

Aaa, thank you very much for the compliment! ;u; The reason for that mostly comes from the fact that Hanzo still feels a lot of guilt due to his past wrongdoings. Even though it is not very evident in the way he acts towards others, I do think that if he would grow to love someone, it would be nagging in his head. I also don’t believe Hanzo is a cruel or unkind person, especially not if you listen to his interactions with other OW characters (aside from Genji) like I mentioned before. He seems pretty normal, albeit a bit distant, to me, which doesn’t give me much of a reason to portray him as someone who would, for example, yell at his partner out of frustration or treat them with disrespect/uninterest, which I sometimes see in certain stories (no offence to these stories of course, as they are equally as good. Everyone has their own view when it comes to portraying characters) if we talk about Hanzo in the early stages of a relationship.This man has not only been groomed to be a good fighter and leader, but with that come diplomatic strategies as well, such as politeness and charm. I’m sure Genji is not the only person in the family blessed with these social skills. Hanzo is just very much repressed in them due to his focus lying within the success of the clan and using limited words in getting what is necessary for it. Short and direct, would perhaps be better to describe Hanzo, but definitely not cold and ruthless. I can understand why people are a fan of the dominant/stoic/ and slightly aggressive Hanzo, but I honestly can’t see it very much. The man is basically in his 40′s already and probably just wants some peace more than anything. He’s had is fair share of regret and big battles, one which ended in great tragedy. He definitely has become more peaceful and stable over his years of being separated from his clan and has reflected on a lot of different matters during that time as well. 10 years is an incredibly long timespan and many things can happen during that time to a person being alone, which in my opinion, probably transformed Hanzo into being more in control of himself and at peace, for the most part at least. Like I said, his past with Genji is still sensitive, but that is very understandable, as he had been avoiding him during all those years and it is unlikely he’ll ever heal from that completely, but if I listen to his voicelines shared with other characters, I can say that I’m quite proud of the way he portrays himself and hope that he’ll at least be able to look Genji in the eye again once he is ready for that.Which brings us back to the matter of his s/o again. Being distant from them in the beginning is something I would not deny, but I can’t see him mocking them or give them distasteful looks, just because of his past and demeanor, at all. If you were to walk up to him and start a conversation, I’m pretty sure Hanzo would act like a normal person and answer any questions you might have, with a lot of formality as well, which gives his man his charm to be honest. He would most definitely be unknowing of this, which makes him bad at picking up hints. However, through time and enough reassurance as well as building a stable friendship to build on, I do think that even this man would like to have companionship and maybe even a new family to be honest. He would want to put his past behind himself at some point too, so the nightmares would stop tormenting him and would not waste a chance at finding a suitable new path to walk on. It would take time getting close to Hanzo yes, but I don’t think he’d push people away by force? I don’t know, he’s a rather sad man on the inside which has numbed his emotions for a big part and would mostly just go with whatever flow someone would be in, as he would get used to having company again after some time and probably enjoy it quite a lot too. So, I don’t see him giving that up after getting it while having been lonely for so long. No matter how distant people can be, humans have a natural need for being social with others and I believe the same goes for Hanzo, even though he’s very skilled at hiding it. Deep down, I do think the man feels quite lonely at certain times (especially around the holidays). He would appreciate it if his s/o gave him some space if he needed to reflect on himself again though, but then again, wanting space in a relationship now and then seems pretty normal to me to be honest.When it comes to his s/o possible making use of him because of his self loathing, perhaps that would work for a while, but then again, Hanzo has a lot of pride even with his tragic past. I think he won’t let someone take the higher ground on him, as he’s not a very sensitive man (not in the sense of getting bullied or yelled at at least). After all, he has survived on his own for 10 years, so I don’t think he’d have trouble throwing someone toxic out the door. He can fall back on himself, which is also a strength of his, but it would hurt him on the inside though. He’d probably feel rather bad at the start and would be sensitive to manipulation, but to a certain extend. Hanzo can sense easily if he’s being made use of and would confront his s/o rather quickly about it and voice his discomfort, so they probably wouldn’t be able to keep it up for long, unless they’re professionally skilled at being incredibly disturbing, like Talon’s level of manipulation for example. It would still be quite sad though in the early stages, as Hanzo would try harder for his s/o if they started humiliating him and probably be more quiet around them, but breaking this man completely would be hard in the end. I don’t think he’d allow that either.It would definitely be an interesting twist though! But I rather not think about it too much for my poor Hanzo, he deserves all the love and peace after all And wow, this became waaay too long, I’m very sorry!
