Watched at last the first episodes of the season 3 of Bridgerton, thoroughly enjoyed it, Colin&Penelope were really cute and the first few episodes specifically really sold me their friendship - i'm also enamoured with the relationship between Penelope and Eloise, good lord
but also i get what people mean by fast pacing and how more episodes in a season could be good, and also thinking of how like. the whole "eloise and penelope broke up, penelope wants a husband and colin decides to apologize for his bad behaviour last year by helping her in secret (therefore starting to feel things for her) could have been a heavy subplot of another season? Imagining lots of little shenanigans of "illicit meetings" and more laughter over suitors, all the while you can see Colin being a hair away from RealizingTM as Penelope stops flustering around him because she's "given up" on her crush... And then, after that, perhaps, at the end of alternate season 3, while Main Couple is Happy, the rumour is spread over the ton of what they've been doing, they have their first kiss because Penelope is certain she's ruined her last chance now, and then when we meet them in S4 for their season, Colin was so flustured by the kiss that he left again and Penelope is persuaded she'll be a spinster by now, and we get a whole season of them dealing with, you know, oh we're on the same page and in love now but we gotta say it, and then the Lady Whistledown thing.
It is purely cause i think we should have gotten more of them as friends, mind you, because they're cute together.
