sort of a random thing to post, but you guys ever realize that ivy's in-game model has earrings? they're these small pink loop earrings that are permanently attached to her model, and it isn't present in a lot of her official artwork either...

putting on the single earring from the DLC won't remove these either, they'll still be on her permanently

for example another character with earrings (pandreo) actually has them as an entirely separate model + accessory that can get removed if you give him any accessories and even his ally notebook images don't feature his earrings in his other pictures outside of the first one you get:

Okay so I appreciate that while we don’t see the retainers in the Fell Xenologue, we do at least learn what some of them were like. For the Fell Xenologue Royals, they can be found here.

Kagetsu: Transparently fake. Never genuine in his smiles nd didn’t make friends with Ivy when she tried to.

Zelkov: Ivy��s favorite retainer. 

Merrin: Hated animals.

Panette: Scared of graveyards.

Bunet: Useless in the kitchen but a brute on the battlefield. Loved slicing people apart.

Pandreo: Was a wild guy and not as self-righteous 

Goldmary: withdrawn, no confidence, no charisma. DIdn’t want to draw attention to herself.

Veyle : she is very good at drawing

Céline : Despite not liking it, she is very good at works out.

Alfred : He is good at playing the harp, the flute not so much

Boucheron : He is a talented poet

Etie : She is good at knitting

Clanne : Good cook

Framme : Talented designer for clothing, she use that talent to make outfit for Alear

Vander : he as all the talents

Chloé : Her love for fairy tales makes her an impressive story teller

Louis : Good garderner

Diamant : Turns out he is good at drawing

Alcryst : He is a very good dancer, but he lacks too much confidence in it

Lapis : She plays harmonica very well

Citrinne : her hobby is to craft jewelery

Jade : She isn't just a great novelist, but a good actress as well

Kagetsu : good at haiku and origami

Goldmary : her love for fashion also makes her very good at designing dress

Rosado : Good at drawing yes, but did you knew he was also a good singer with impressive range ?

Lindon : crafts. Hand and crafts.

Timerra : her singing may be worthy of calling her a Racket, but her crafting skills are showing her dexterity

Fogado : to compensate with his big sister's voice, turns out he is a talented musician

Pannette : her love for spooky stories wouldn't make you believe it, but she is quite good at creating original make up

Merrin : She can imitate any animal, yes even Sommie

Pandreo : he can make delicious macabre dessert such as little skulls of sugar and a bread for the dead (yes it is a Dia de los muertos ref)

Bunet : aspiring cook can make very effective traps

Jean : he makes delicious bread

Anna : Her advertissement skill would count as a talent, but ultimately it's her drawing skills

Seadall : Practicing with Yunaka, he realized he too is a good imitator

Mauvier : don't let appearances fool you, he is actually good at making jokes

Madeline : She can knit very well

Zelestia : she is talented a creating chaos, does it count ?

Gregory : His love for plushie lead him to learn how to make toys

Nel : her lullaby charms Emblems, but she also discovered she is a good pianist thanks to Alear

Rafal : unless you'd force him, you would never realize he can actually sing !

panette. it would be about tattoos probably but also he LOVES the non-prim n proper panette and would intentionally try to annoy/bring it out in her he’s a terrible influence, his presence alone would make her relapse pandreo. oh YEAHHH griss has that religious trauma babey!!!! alternatively he’s definitely a party crasher diamant. griss would absolutely bully him about being scared of magic haha wittle scawdy cat BOO! man they just let anyone rule countries these days huh mauvier. goes without saying griss would antagonize him but at the end of the day actually appreciates having a normie with a braincell in the group cuz he sure as hell doesn’t want that responsibility. unironically thinks mauvier is hilarious hortensia. yeah they don’t get along but in a really funny way, like when she annoys him he just throws her over his shoulder and acts like he's going to throw her in the dumpster like the world's worst babysitter ivy. asks her out in every support bc who doesn’t want a big tiddy goth gf. unreciprocated timerra. she likes to sing and griss’s voice actor does the death metal singing in aggretsuko so you can pick up what I’m setting down here. "when's the next practice" but like no one wants to him there rosado. he would make rosado design a tattoo and when rosado brings him a cute bunny tat he would be like “not bad not bad, can you draw it on fire and also i want it on my face” [cut to ink master-style talking head “this canvas is NOT working with me”]

Alright, I was going to recommend you Alfred/Céline's convo as well as Alfred/Etie, Céline/Alcryst, Citrine/Alcryst, Framme/Diamant, Goldmary/Yunaka, Citrinne/Yunaka, Seadall/Yunaka, Rosado/Merrin, any of Veyle and Hortensia's support convo with any character, Ivy/Diamant and Diamant's support in general as well, the whole DLC cast support with being in S-tier Madeline/Gregory and Rafal/Alear.

I was going to tell you that Alfred's story is explored with Céline and Rafal with him telling he doesn't like speaking about it because his whole character is showing how he overcome the fact that he might die at any moments and wither like a flower but still wants to help people to not being a burden as @rexcaliburechoes explain it very well in that post since the whole point in Engage are character overcoming their past and how they do it, with also a showing on how it affects Céline who as to live with the burden to have to remplace one day her brother she loves so much if he dies, which weights on her so much she makes nightmare about this

I was going to respond to "no one had interests/beliefs/trauma/backstory that was treated seriously" by pointing out that Yunaka exists, Veyle exists, Hortensia exists, Diamant exists, Pandreo and Pannette exists, Rafal and Nel exists, Gregory exists, Mauvier exists, Alear exist and even the "The villain(s) were so over the top and corny" exist with said backstory explaining their entire behaviour but then

"I was skipping through their dialogue." Congratulations. You just played yourself. You know, if you want people to take seriously your critics you should avoid claimming out loud that you intentionally skipped the story because this makes people attributes your critics that there is nothing memorable about it to you skipping the story rather then the story in itself.

As for the fan service, idc it's a you thing because I don't feel anything about drawing or rather model looking like barbie doll exposing their pixels to me but 3H doesn't fare better then Engage : Dorothea exists, Manuela exists, Rhea exists, Hilda exists, Shamir exists, Cornelia exists, etc. People made a whole drama about F!Byleth's design being too fanservicey to the point of being ugly and about the maid outfit for the DLC and 3H having other kind of fanservice but there again, as someone who doesn't care, I don't care about those complains either
