least favorite recurring nightmare this semester is the one where i'm once again a freelance piano teacher and i realize that i've missed weeks of lessons without explanation to the students/parents.

#i was definitely materially more precarious as a freelance teacher #like i was not making a living wage #i was living with my parents #and my income was entirely dependent on not having last-minute cancellations from parents or car troubles #i think probably the fear is that i'm going to have to do that again #all these stupid job and postdoc applications #someone please just hire me #job search woes
