The more I research things in relation to magnus protocol the more I'm just like utterly filled with that classic emotion known as "holy shit Jonny Sims did his motherfuckin RESEARCH for this bad baby *smacks side of podcast*"
I feel like in doing any research at all on any topic, I'm finding myself sucked with black hole force into a wikipedia hole and end up accidentally reverse engineering this like, massive writing research tree from the listening side. It's been so implausibly frequent and intricate to have one topic just happen to link to yet ANOTHER eerily related topic that I'm starting to second guess myself, like am I seeing connections where there are none???
But like idk I think there's just SO MUCH and every seemingly unrelated leaf actually does, in fact, end up connecting back to a branch that does seem intimitely related to the tree (...as it were.)(fuckin. Can't talk about trees no more. Fuck u Isaac Newton. Fuckin apple head. Dog apple head fuck. Calcinate ur god damn laboratory) but it's just like the largest kudzu on the fucking planet and there are so many god damn leafs and branches I can't even see a damn quarter of the whole picture, even just considering the historical and alchemical research, before even considering the fictional plot and worldbuilding and how that's tying the irl stuff and TMA stuff and its own stuff together and !! (Is Georgie...???)
And through all of that. I have learned much. And I can say I know for certain now two things.
One: I thought I knew what alchemy was and what its purpose was, and at least a couple of things about it. I did not!
Two: it is infinitely funny that literally right after the Hooke episode (#19) when I was doing research on just Hooke and Micrographia, I said, in total and utter ignorance of any importance this phrasing might have: "[this episode is] Sprinkling mint seeds of Spooky History Research on the fertile but barren golf course of my mind".
I hope Jonny and Alex saw that and got a little chuckle. "Wow this guy really is gonna flip his fuckin lid when he finds out about the steps of alchemy. Like, oh I dunno, Separation! For example" WELL I DID!!! I did flip my lid.
TMagP ep so potent in its in-world 17th century lore drop that it caused me to briefly see into the future. Supernatural cosmic horror writing so choice that it manifests real actual spooky happenings in the real world. wait isnt that a john carpenter film
anyways I'm mostly writing this just to get it out of my own head, bc I feel like I'm losing my mind like I've stepped into a twilight zone episode and I need to find a way back to my original dimension somehow. but also if u read this and are intrigued by what i mean by any of it. i strongly encourage starting some wikipedia holing of ur own. start with literally anything on any topic mentioned in protocol. but esp looking into Sam's comment to Celia in TMP 19, about "spiritual substitution of elements". and know that this will take u on a magical internet journey from which you may return, but not unchanged

┃Genshin + HSR men as spiderman (+ your boyfriend)
₊˚⊹♡ Various x gn reader
₊˚⊹♡ wc: 7,189
₊˚⊹♡ warnings: Baizhu. Alhaitham’s part is suggestive but nothing explicit. Caelus’ part contains a ton of references to various things (one of them being your option to choose between Caelus or Stelle when you start HSR). Overall fluffy scenarios w/ your boyfriend (who is also Spiderman) :>
₊˚⊹♡ Pillow Talks: Some parts are proofread others aren’t (for once) because I wasn’t feeling up to it. I intentionally put Baizhu under warnings it's not a mistake, I thought I was being funny doing that lol. Ngl Caelus’ part is my fav <3 !! I have a ton of drafts I’ll eventually complete, life is just a lot for me rn. I love you all ♡(੭´͈ ᐜ `͈)੭ ♡ <3
₊˚⊹♡ Masterlist
Alhaitham ✮ ๋ ࣭ ⭑ 〃
always has headphones on. Even when he’s fighting. He’s literally never seen without them
He’s been offered to do collaborations with many companies to make a model of headphones off the one’s he usually wears. He never accepts, unless it’s for his go to brand.
All villains know to leave spidey’s headphones alone. The last villain who broke his old pair didn’t make it out of the fight alive.
That wasn’t a joke.
Anyway, most people don’t ask about his headphones, rather reporters are always at their wits end since they can never get an interview out of him. Not even a brief still shot of him.
Hell, most people don’t even know what he sounds like.
For the most he’s a man of few words, but when he does speak? You’ll wish he hadn’t.
Very sassy. Has the best retorts and the most vile insults.
His suit is really cool too, and very practical.
He’s a college student when he isn’t spiderman. He’s scarily efficient at juggling his part time superhero duties along with his heavy college workload. Maybe it’s because he gets all his work done way in advance? Who knows.
He’s super gentle whenever he’s rescuing civilians. At most, he’ll say a word or two in response to their gratitude. Something along the lines of “yeah.” Or “It’s no problem” if you’re lucky. Most people don’t try to make conversation anyway. As stated before, he’s really good at dodging not only reporters but cameras in general.
So, imagine your surprise when he actually stops walking away after you’ve asked him what he’s listening to. You can’t see his face, but his spidery eyes widen comically in shock.
No one has ever asked him that before. You’d think someone would, but no one has.
So, he indulges you. “I’m not listening to anything at the moment. Sometimes I’ll have music playing, but for the most part I tend to use these just to block out noise. Plus, people tend to leave you alone when they see you have headphones on. It also makes for an adequate excuse to pretend I don’t hear people speaking to me.” Your mouth drops in pure shock at the fact that spiderman not only spoke to you, but he’s also.. very.. interesting.
Oh, he likes that look on your face. You can’t see it, but he has a huge smirk on his face underneath that mask.
Alhaitham recognized you from campus. Of course he was quick and efficient with moving you to safety before he took care of the danger, but he couldn’t return you to ground level until after the fight.
Speaking of fighting, he’s really good at it. His movements are calculated and precise. You made a mental note never to get on spider man's bad side as you watched him clock the villain square in the jaw, with no regard for whether they retain consciousness or not.
“I’ll see you around.” Is all he says now, before he web slings away. Wait, see you around? But he’s spiderman!
Little did you know that spiderman was your hot, intelligent classmate you had a raging crush on.
Lucky for you, it seems he may develop feelings for you too.
𓆩♡𓆪
“I thought I told you to leave your window unlocked? I’d hate to be spotted.” Alhaitham scolds you as you unlock your window for him, and he effortlessly slips into your abode.
“I’m sorry, but I like hearing your cute little knocks on my window. It’s the highlight of my day.” Alhaitham sighs, as if he’s annoyed, but in reality your words cause his heart to flutter.
Once he’s inside he slips off his mask and stretches his fit body. He catches sight of your lingering, fixed gaze. He smirks as he purposefully flexes his arms for you. Your head whips around, looking away as if he hadn’t caught your ogling.
“It seems like someone missed me.” His knowing words result in a click of your tongue. Yet, you find yourself melting in his warm embrace as he wraps his arms around you from behind. You’re a goner when he buries his face into the crook of your shoulder. He presses a kiss there.
As his lingering lips trail along your sensitive skin, you ask him your usual question. “What are you listening to?” He hums in contemplation as he thinks. “To the sound of your voice.” You suck in a breath, and he smiles.
That question is something of a routine between the two of you. You always ask him, ever since you learned of his identity during one of his canon events. His response will change depending on his mood, and it’s a good indicator of his current mood.
If he gives you an actual song, it’s an easy way to tell depending on the tone and meaning of the song. Otherwise, if he replies with “Nothing.” He’s either tired or on the verge of breaking. Usually it’s both, since he says the silence helps him think.
Now, if he responds with something sweet, like “The sound of your voice,” he either wants to cuddle or…
The firm press of his hand as it trails along your inner thigh is answer enough.
You feel heat warm the expanse of your body, but you pretend not to notice. “I thought you said class drained you earlier today?” You try to distract yourself with conversation. Alhaitham’s hand only travels up further. “It did. I couldn’t take my eyes off of you, yet I was stuck listening to the professor droning on and on about a topic I’ve already read extensively about. Now, I can finally do what I’ve been wanting to do to all day long.” Alhaitham’s voice is rough, and his breath grazes the shell of your ear.
“Okay…” Is your eloquent response. You know if you turned around, you’d be met with that knowing smirk of his.
“Now, will you help me relax? Being spiderman is draining after all, and not being able to touch you the way you deserve all day has made me really tense.”
You have no objections when his fingers finally reach the place you’re craving it most.

ᐟᐟ☆ Caelus .✮𖦹‪‪ ₊˚
Radiates the most Gen Z vibes it’s insane
Up to date on everything and anything pop culture related. Whether it be old or new.
A theater went into a frenzy when fans realized spider man was in the same theater watching Five Nights at Freddy’s with them
He was upset since he had to slip out and watch the movie at home on Peacock instead.
Anyway, he’s a real sweetheart. He always makes time to stop and help older individuals cross streets, helps children find missing items, and he’ll even give some citizens a lift to a place they’re running late to.
Well, he stopped doing that last one after the incident. … That was his second canon event.
He became spider man when a woman named Kafka purposefully had a mutated spider bite him. He doesn’t recall too much before that, and he’s not sure why he can’t, but that’s a part of his journey. To discover himself and put together pieces of his past.
He still occasionally runs into Kafka and her companions, but for the most part he’s still developing his own opinion of her.
He’s a ball of energy most days. Reporters love him since he’s always so receptive and open to their questions.
Yet, he has his moments. Some nights, if you look to the right building, you’ll spot a lone figure on top, staring into the vast night sky. On those nights, he imagines a life where he travels those skies, exploring what the universe has to offer. Maybe there are other planets out there? What if he could visit them, and experience intergalactic adventures?
Oh well. Maybe in another timeline. He isn’t a nameless traveler here after all.
Unbeknownst to the both of you, you’ve bumped into each other on countless occasions when he’s in his civilian form. Actually, you two are very close friends.
He’s debated with himself many times. Should he tell you the truth? Time and time again his answer was no, and for many reasons. One, Kafka clearly has a close eye on him, and he isn’t sure of her intentions yet. Two, he doesn’t want you needlessly worrying about him. Unfortunately, you already do.
So it honestly doesn’t come as a surprise when you stumble upon him during a particularly hard moment in time, and he lets it slip that he’s spiderman and he’a struggling.
Thankfully, you’re just the support he needed.
Now, he has a safe space. A person who feels like home in a place where he truly has none. And he’s eternally grateful to you for it.
As for you, he’s your personal ray of sunshine. You’re overjoyed you can play such a prominent role in his life, and you don’t love him any less for being spider man. If anything, you somehow worry less about him…?
It’s honestly hard when you watch him overcome many impossible odds. He even accumulates new powers every now and again! He’s really strong, mentally and physically, so it eases your worries at times.
Even if he does need a shoulder to lean on, as you often do, you’re more than happy to be that shoulder for him.
Honestly, it’s a good thing he has you. His future canon events look pretty… rough. Especially the one where he meets himself from a parallel universe. You know, the one where he’s a star instead of the sky.

“Oh my gosh Name look! They even have my bat in the game!” Caelus happily swivels around in his chair to look at you, frantically pointing to his pc monitor all the while.
You look at the screen, and sure enough there’s a scarily accurate model of your superhero boyfriend in the game, currently performing a silly dance move.
“Ah.. I see..” Is your response. You really think it’s cool, but you want to tease him a bit. You struggle to contain your grin when he pouts at your lack of enthusiasm. “I thought you’d think it was cool….” You can only chuckle as you run soothing fingers through his soft locks.
“I do sweetheart, I do.” Your words make him visibly light up, and he practically jumps out of his chair to wrap his arms around you.
“Speaking of, I have something else I want to show you…”
Que a fun midnight outing on top of the tallest building overlooking the whole city.
“Wow.. this is beautiful..” Your eyes shine as bright as a dying supernova as you gaze upon the beautiful landscape before you.
Caelus is beaming with pride, glad he was able to surprise you like this.
“Yeah, I stumbled upon this view after a particularly hard battle.” He hums in content as he leans back, pulling you into him.
You rest your head against him, his chest a comfortable pillow.
You can feel his steady heartbeat beneath your ear, and it’s a soothing melody.
“Thank you for sticking by me all this time.” The words are a gentle caress against the shell of your ear, yet they cause your heart to ache.
“You don’t need to thank me for that, silly. I love you, and when you love someone and they’re good for you, you stand by them. No matter what. Yeah?” You gently pat his chest.
He smiles.
“Yeah.”
He’s silent again, and a comfortable atmosphere wraps around the two of you like a warm blanket right out of the dryer.
That is, until he decides to open his mouth.
“Don’t get too comfortable. I might just push you off.”
He looks at you to gauge your reaction.
Absolute horror is written on your features.
He loves it. It sends an electrifying thrill through him; he loves to tease you too.
“You’re getting too out of hand with these jokes of-“
His lips steal the rest of your words, and you allow it.
The city paints a magical backdrop for your moment of intimacy.

Jing Yuan ⁞ ⟡ ⚡︎ ♡⸝⸝ 🕷
This spider man is always accompanied by his cat, Mimi.
He rescued her during a particularly rough encounter. He tried to send her off after ensuring she was safe with authorities, but she refused to leave his side. Now, he already had a soft spot for cats, so it was a no brainer to him
Mimi has accompanied him ever since, and she even has her own little mask and everything.
Little does he know that the ‘cat’ he saved was really just another one of the smuggled exotic animals those crooks tried to sneak into the city. Mimi will no longer fit in that backpack of his in a few months time.
He’s really lazy, honestly. He calls it conserving energy, but really he will only intervene when it’s called for or if the situation is rapidly turning dire
He has many admirers. Pictures of blurry glimpses of his suit sell for hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, online
So, so many fan edits of him. And he’s seen ‘em all. He’s secretly really smug about it, but he keeps that to himself
He has a commanding presence, and an air of elegance about him. It almost feels like his fighting is an art of sorts. It’s fascinating to see the creative ways he’ll use his webs to get the job done.
Mimi has plushies, courtesy of collaboration with spiderman.
He bought the pre-orders for her plush and a few more when the official drop released
So, how did you end up with a man like Jing Yuan? Gorgeous, handsome Jing Yuan who's also a renowned general?
Simple. You're his personal alarm clock.
No. Literally. You were asked to wake him up after he fell asleep on the job again, as everyone else had grown tired of the task, and that was the beginning of an.. interesting dynamic.
The best part about it? One day you arrived a bit earlier than your usual time to wake him up, only to find the infamous spider man frantically urging Jing Yuan’s cat, Mimi, into a backpack.
Long story short, now you not only have to deal with waking him up, but you also have to deal with a clingy boyfriend who isn't afraid to his webs against you
𓆩♡𓆪
“Jing Yuan! I told you, this meeting is important and it’s imperative that-“
He blatantly ignores you as he webs the door shut, and now you’re stuck with him in his office.
“Mhm. I understand. Now come here, I miss you.” His stupid smile makes your heart race as he opens his arms, welcoming you in.
Ah, what the hell.
You all too easily bend to his whims. You quickly find yourself in his arms, snuggled against his warm body.
“That’s much better sweetheart. See? This isn’t so bad is it?” You abhor his teasing, yet all the same it sends a thrill through you.
“Shut up. I better not get in trouble because of you.” You sigh. “No one would dare say anything to you. If anyone ever does, I will personally tend to the matter.” His voice is tense, along with his statement, but all you feel is his thick hair tickling your cheek as he nuzzles his head against you.
A goofy smile spreads across your lips, and soon you forget all about the meeting as you enjoy each other’s embrace.
An adorable sound comes from Mimi, lounging somewhere in his office you assume. The usual.
“By the way, are we still on for dinner later?” Your question evoked a chuckle out of Jing Yuan.
“I wouldn’t miss dinner with you for the world.” “Not even if your spidey duties call?” Your quip causes an adorable pout to form on his lips.
“My ‘spidey duties’ can wait until I’m full and satiated. You mean more to me than you know, my sweet angel.” His words warm not only your heart, but your soul.
You completely lose track of time in his arms.
So it comes as quite a shock when obnoxious knocking can be heard on his office door. You know, the one that’s currently webbed shut?
“Jing Yuan!!”
Ah, Diviner Fu. She knows all too well that you’ve failed yet again to lure Jing Yuan out of his office.
“Ah, looks like dinner has arrived sooner than we expected sweetheart.” You squeal when he suddenly sits up with you still in his arms.
He uses his webs to grab his backpack, slinging it over his shoulder as Mimi hops in, used to this ordeal.
“Remember to hold on tight, okay?” He murmurs the words against the shell of your ear, before he slips on your own little mask over your face. Just as a precaution, though he’s really good at staying hidden whenever he’s with you.
“Off we go.”
And with that, you two sling out of the window of his office, leaving an exasperated Fu Xuan behind.

♡ ┃ Kaedehara Kazuha ‧.°˖➴
He is the amazing spider man
Like, he’s the ultimate spider man. He’s kind yet deadly, and very friendly.
He’s as swift as the wind, and he actually travels with a sword. You’ve never seen Spiderman incorporate sword play in with his webs? Well, you’re in luck! Kazuha does this at a masterful level. He made it into a sort of art form as well. At the end of his fights he’ll always create beautiful imagery using his sword, carving out complicated shapes and scenes with his webs. It’s kind of like a signature of his
He’s pretty good at balancing his civilian and hero life. Although he may get caught up with things if unexpected incidents occur, which lets be honest, it happens all the time when you’re spider man
He’s genuinely so sweet, and it’s easy to see through his actions. The public loves him. He has loads of admirers.
After a very traumatic incident involving a close friend of his, he experienced a period of grief and depression
He got back on his feet eventually, and he awakened new powers within him! Well, that would be the only explanation for why he was suddenly able to use electricity during combat with a particularly strong villain
Not only does he use a sword but now he has the ability to wield electricity?
Once word of spider man’s new powers spread, the number of crimes that were committed went down drastically. Literally. Statistically crime rates decreased by 25% the following week. 25%. Your usual run of the mill people were too afraid to do anything after witnessing the devastating beating Kazuha gave to a particular individual
To be fair, he was late to your date because of them. He wasted no time, defeating that villain within mere seconds before frantically webbing away to meet you
Speaking of dates, Kazuha enjoys going on many dates with you.
From indoor cozy dates to public outings, typically walks through nature, Kazuha’s favorite past time is the time he spends with you
He often leaves you handwritten notes before he leaves, ranging from eloquent poetry of his feelings for you, to short blurbs of how your eyes make it physically impossible for him to focus on what you’re saying. (He felt bad because he got lost in your eyes while you were describing your Christmas decorating plans to him)
Overall, Kaedehara Kazuha is a model spider man. Kind and caring, yet swift and fatal when the situation needs him to be.
𓆩♡𓆪
“Kazuha, I told you I forgive you already!” You giggle despite your exasperation. Kazuha disregards your statement as he places fleeting, soft kisses on your person.
He starts with your hand. He holds your hand delicately, treating you as if you’re porcelain. He places a kiss to the back of your hand before his lips slowly trail up your arm.
Your heart melts at the tender gesture, all the while your body lights aflame with his burning gaze. His piercing orbs hold your gaze as his lips make their leisure ascent.
You couldn’t tear your eyes away from him even if you willed it.
“I promised you I wouldn’t be late to our date this week, but I was. You have my sincerest apologies, my love.” You feel his lips move as he murmurs the words against your skin.
“No need to be all formal. We’ve been together for how long now?” You murmur the words in embarrassment, as Kazuha’s lips now brush along your neck, teasing you.
“Hmm.. if I recall correctly, today would make five years correct?” You nod your head, yet your eyes drift shut as Kazuha playfully teases the skin of your neck with his teeth.
“Y-Yeah.. so..” Your mind is blank. You completely forgot the point you were trying to make.
You have a feeling that was his goal all along.
His lips finally reach their destination; his eager lips meet your parted ones.
You groan as he draws you closer, placing a firm hand on the back of your head. His kiss almost feels a bit desperate; his lips mold with yours in perfect sync as his free hand explores the expanse of your body.
When he finally parts from you, you take desperate gasps of air. His state isn’t much better; his lidded gaze roams your body as he takes deep breaths.
“Kazuha…” “hmm?” He smiles, a lazy, slow smile, and you know you’re not letting him leave any time soon.
“I.. um.. oh! I was going to say, before you rudely distracted me..” He chuckles at that, tracing the contour of your face with a finger as you continue to scold him. “It wasn’t your fault you were late. The police force needed backup and-“ His lips capture yours again.
You reluctantly press against his chest, gently pushing him away.
You pout.
He winks at you.
“I know, but it still took away from our precious time together. I wanted to make it up to you by arriving early today, but I wasn’t able to fulfill that desire.” He sighs, and his finger moves from your face down to your neck, lower to your collarbone.
“I promise you it’s okay, Kazuha. I understand. Although, if you really want to make it up to me…” This time, your gaze is the heated one as you skillfully unravel his ponytail.
He sucks in a breath at your action. “I have another desire that you most certainly can fulfill.”
“Ah, I like the sound of that.”
Lucky for you, he is more than able to fulfill that desire of yours.

‧₊˚ ┊Shikanoin Heizou ⚖✮⋆˙✦
Public menace #1
He drives the police force crazy because he always solves all the cases before they can get to the bottom of it. He does so not only as spider man, but as his civilian self too.
He can be a bit of a flirt when he has the mask on.. well, ‘a bit’ is an understatement, but he doesn’t just flirt with everyone!
He really only flirts with you, honestly, yet you reject him time and time again. He was a bit puzzled, since he knows how flustered you get when he flirts with you without the mask. Maybe it’s because you don’t know it’s him? He’ll have to test that theory
Using his detective skills he quickly deduces that it was because you have a crush on him. Him. Not spider man.
He knows of your intense loyalty, so of course you wouldn’t entertain his flirting, even if the individual flirting with you is the spider man.
Once he figured that out, oh how much fun he has teasing you as spider man
He’ll use his webs to get around quickly and restrain his enemy, but in combat? He prefers to use his fists. He’s quick with it too. He’s Shikanoin ‘left, right, goodnight’ Heizou.
So, whenever he does use his webs in combat, you know he’s going against a formidable foe
He’s super sweet to fans. Signatures, autographs, everything. On the sly though, when you still didn’t know he was spider man, he kissed an autograph he signed specifically for you before he handed it to you.
There was a visible mark left behind, and although you were annoyed you still kept the autograph (that you didn’t ask for)
When he finally revealed his identity to you, you were simultaneously livid and not surprised; You know of Heizou’s tendency to tease
He planned for the whole reveal to be super romantic and everything, and by the end of it you two became a couple.
You are the ones who create the iconic spider man kiss. He’s upside down, holding a handwritten confession of love, not a rose, that you cautiously take from his hand. In the letter he explicitly stated that spider man and the man you were currently crushing on are the same people. Following that was a very romantic declaration of his feelings for you.
When you looked up from reading the letter, you found yourself face to face with Shikanoin Heizou instead of the spider’s mask. The shock on your face was too adorable to ignore, so he kissed you whilst hanging upside down.
It was an… interesting experience, to say the least.
Would you repeat it? Absolutely.
𓆩♡𓆪
“Heizouuu….” Your whine is music to his ears.
He nuzzles his head further into your chest, and his sigh is one of contentment.
“Yesss..?” This time, you’re the one sighing, except it’s one of annoyance rather than content.
“I’ve needed to use the bathroom since five minutes ago.” “And I told you you’re welcome to. I will wait as my warm, loving arms ache for your return.” You scoff at his dramatic use of words.
“Thanks, Heizou, but how could I possibly go to the bathroom when your body is literally tangled with mine?” This question gives him pause, even though it really shouldn’t.
Said body adjusts a bit, but he makes no move to get off of you.
You’re currently lounging in bed, doing nothing really. Just enjoying Heizou’s company. It was nice until you had to use the bathroom, and with the way Heizou’s body is lying on you, legs entangled and arms wrapped around you, there’s no possible way for you to escape.
His head remains on your chest, but he looks up at you now.
“How about a deal? If you can solve this riddle-“
“Shikanoin Heizou.”
“My apologies.”
He quickly moves off of you, and you make a beeline for the bathroom.
You’re not surprised when he’s on the other side of the door the moment you open it.
“Sometimes, Heizou, you just…” You struggle to find the words to properly express yourself.
“I just..?” He prompts you, guiding you back to the comfort of your shared bed.
You finally find the words you were searching for as you both resume your previous position, except this time Heizou’s head is buried against the crook of your neck.
“You just.. fail to surprise me, really. Which is funny, since you’re someone who’s full of them.” His body shakes against yours as he laughs at your bold statement.
“Ah, my lovely partner knows me so well. Honestly, how did a detective like me get so lucky? I believe that’s the biggest mystery of all.” His words fill you with warmth; they effectively morph your feelings of affectionate annoyance into a feeling of immense joy.
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever. You do know I’m the one who got lucky, right?” You chuckle when he gasps, as if the very concept itself is absurd.
“I would refute that hypothesis of yours, but I believe it would only cause this conversation to continue in circles. So, I propose that we are both the luck ones. Do you agree?”
You feel his smile and hear the affection in his voice as his lips brush along your skin.
“Yeah.. I agree.” “Perfect.”
And with that, a comfortable silence fills the room once more.
It’s a relaxing evening, spent with your very loving and very dramatic boyfriend.

Welt Yang ﹕⸝⸝ *:・゚✮
“Wait, spider man is an old man!?” Yeah and there’s a literal dinosaur who dons the mask in another universe. Your point?
Lol jokes aside, Welt is one of, if not the most, powerful spider man. I mean, he can literally manipulate gravity.
He’s also a huge nerd.
He always brings his cane along with him when he fights, so the enemy tends to underestimate him, thinking he’s close to retirement and should just give up the whole ‘hero act’ already. Honestly, maybe he should, but that day isn’t today.
If he gets particularly annoyed by comments from his opponents, he’ll just get rid of ‘em. via a mini black hole of sorts. It’s super effective.
He’s actually very fond of making jokes and semi-horrible puns. They make you laugh though. Others? Not so much.
Anyway, he’s very reserved and he won’t stick around for reporters to interview him. He’ll just give the necessary information needed for authorities to take over, and in the blink of an eye he’s gone.
For his day job, he’s an animator. A well renowned one too. He’s very casual about it though, and he doesn’t see it as something deserving of praise.
He’s taken on a young talent who’s a blank page, in the process of writing a story of their own.
You’re the one who finds out Welt’s well kept secret. He didn’t plan on revealing his identity to you, as he felt it was his burden to bear and he would hate to make you a target.
He’s experienced many battles and has faced numerous foes, so he’s very wise and experienced. He’s faced scenarios where his morals come into play, and that’s something he’s not fond of. He rather preserve his integrity and do things in a way that aligns with his inner values. He’s been granted many opportunities to do things in an underhanded manner, yet he has never taken that  opportunity.
𓆩♡𓆪
“Please please please!” You jump up and down in innocent joy, but the man before you pinches the bridge of his nose.
“No.”
“Why not? Please! I promise this is my last time asking.” You plead with him, moving to hold onto his arm.
“That’s the exact same line you use every time.” “It is not!” You retort.
“You said the same thing yesterday.”
“Welt, please!” Now you fix him with a pleading look, a look you know he can’t resist.
“Name, my ability to manipulate gravity is a powerful one that comes with great responsibility. It shouldn’t be used as a measly… ahem..” His cheeks take on a pink hue as he coughs into his fist.
You’ve pressed yourself against him, your head tilted as you gaze at him with that look in your eyes.
“…this is the last time.” His gruff response brings you to life, your eyes alighting with joy as you remove yourself from him.
He misses the warmth of your body, but your smile provides him with a permeating warmth that is different, but comforting all the same.
“You always say that.” Your bratty response irks him. In an instant your world is flipped upside down as your feet are lifted off the floor.
“Yay! Thank you Welt.” He can’t find it in himself to be annoyed when you’re doing silly little flips as your body floats in the air.
This has become a regular occurrence for you. Occasionally, when you’re in the mood to be a bit silly, you’ll ask Welt to use his gravity manipulation to suspend you in air.
He was opposed to it, but eventually you wore him down. Now, he agrees to give you a few moments of fun, although sparingly.
His gaze is soft as he watches you enjoy the moment with childlike glee, before you’re gently lowered to the ground once more.
“There. Satisfied?” His voice is rough and his gaze won’t meet yours, but his heart pounds in his chest. You really are too cute.
“Yes! Thank you, and I’m sorry I keep pestering you about it… but… I appreciate it.” You saddle up beside him and wrap your arms around him in a grounding hug.
He smiles.
“Don’t worry about it.” Is his simple response. He presses a sweet kiss to the crown of your head, before he rests his on top of yours.
Fwip!
You glance behind you when you hear the sound, just in time to see the door to your shared bedroom close shut. Your eyes study the webs on the door handle before you swivel around to face Welt.
His cheeks are tinted pink once more, but he meets your curious gaze.
“Let’s.. enjoy each other’s company for the remainder of the day.” His words cause your own face to heat up, but a sly smirk soon presents itself on your lips.
“Can’t get enough of me, can you?” You relish the look he fixes you with, and you willingly follow his lead to your neatly made bed.
“On the contrary, with that attitude of yours I get more than my fill of you.” His words are contradictory to his actions, since he’s pulling you closer as his lips seek yours.
You smile when his lips finally meet yours.

‧₊˚ ┊Baizhu ⚕ *: ♥
With swift and deadly attacks that require minimal movement, Baizhu is always quick to subdue the enemy
Some days are harder than others for him, as he has a chronic illness. He still gets the job done, and he’s always advocating for others in a similar situation as him. He doesn’t reveal much to the media, but he does like to tell anyone who may hear “If I can be spiderman, then I know you can do anything you set your mind to.”
Instead of a spider biting him it was a snake. A talking snake no less. Her name is Changsheng, and she travels with him almost all the time.
Many ask to pet Changsheng. He turns down most requests but on rare occurrences he may let an individual do so (mainly children)
Has miraculous healing powers. He’s also a good sport at taking heavy hits, but he can only handle so much. Still, he’s stronger than you’d think, and he’s great at sporting others back to health. It’s almost like they were never sick at all once Baizhu tended to them. Unfortunately, his illness always seems to flair after he does so…
Speaking of, he’s well loved, Dr. Baizhu. He literally has a 5 star rating and everyone raves about him. You would think he would limit clients since he constantly gets a large influx of them, but he’s too kind to do anything of the sort.
Sometimes you have to scold him and force him to coax him into taking it easy; he tends to take on a bit more than he can handle.
He’ll say cheesy things like “You’re the remedy I’ve been searching for all my life. Most certainly.” Whenever you two are alone and spending quality time together. You can only smile when he tells you these things; He’s too cute to feign annoyance with.
He’s immune to poison. Don’t ask why he just is. (It’s totally not an added benefit of a contract he made)
𓆩♡𓆪
Your fingers gently scrub the area, and a noise akin to the sound of a satisfied cat purr is heard.
You bite your lip as you try to contain your smile, even though he wouldn’t be able to see it anyway.
You’ve finished lathering Baizhu’s hair in the floral conditioner. He allows you to finish the process of rinsing his hair, and the result is satisfactory. His hair, which now has the floral scent of the conditioner, has a renewed sheen to it.
“Your hair is gorgeous, Baizhu. Well taken care of too.” You hum, guiding him as you both move to sit down.
You sit on the couch, and have him sit in front of you on the floor.
You gently dry his hair as he leans back into you. It causes you to get a few droplets of water on your person but that’s insignificant to you.
It’s been a long time since you’ve seen your boyfriend so relaxed. He’s been overworking himself again, not only with his job as a doctor but with his spiderman man duties.
You insisted on a self care day since he has the day off, and you prayed people would stay in line today so he wouldn’t have to suit up.
It seems your prayers were answered; it’s now late evening and the orange hue of the sky is slowly morphing into a starry night sky.
The streets remain peaceful today.
A groan from Baizhu draws your attention.
He’s looking up at you with furrowed brows. “I thought I told you to stop worrying so much about me.” You ‘tsk’ at the audacity of his claim, opting to flick his forehead. It was a light flick, but he acts as if you’ve scorched him.
He hisses. He sounds like Changsheng.
You giggle.
“I know you aren’t telling me to stop worrying.” You shake your head in dismay, albeit a knowing smirk is on your lips.
“Name, I know I am not one to talk but I promise you I’ll take better care of my mental wellbeing. You have my word.” He places a comforting hand on your knee. The touch brings warmth to your skin.
“Promise?” Your voice is quiet. It sounds small. You’d be surprised if he even heard you.
You open your mouth to repeat your question, sure he hadn’t heard you, but he speaks before you can voice the question once more.
“I promise.” His statement is firm. When you look into his golden snake-like eyes, they’re full of life. Determination emanates from their intense gaze.
You believe him.
“Okay, good. I hate to see you like that, you know…” His gaze softens at the obvious concern on your face. He understands it comes from a place of love, so he only nods in understanding.
“I’m sorry sweetheart.” He reaches for your hand, still a bit wet from washing his hair, yet he places a kiss to your palm nonetheless.
With that, you resume your task.
You take your time braiding his hair. It’s relaxing, and the diffuser you have going only adds to the calm atmosphere.
As soon as you finish braiding his hair Baizhu moves. It startles you, but you’re soon put to ease when he sits beside you.
His arms wrap around you, and he rests your head on his shoulder. Your eyes fall shut as you breathe in the floral scent of his hair.
“Thank you.” He whispers the words, and you feel the soft press of his lips on your forehead. You feel the same touch on your nose, your cheek, your eyelids, until they finally press against your lips.
When he pulls away, you respond with a thank you of your own. He seems taken aback by your words, but then the sweetest smile lifts his lips.
“You are quite welcome.”

♡. Blade 🗡⭒⚠︎︎ ⛓°˖
He is the second spiderman in Caelus’s verse
He honestly feels as if the whole Spiderman role is a curse rather than a blessing, but he still plays the role nonetheless.
When he feels like it
Most people only know of Caelus as spiderman, but once Blade also took on the role there were rumors of a darker, more sinister spiderman seen webbing from building to building during the late hours of the night
Of course Caelus had to investigate said rumors, and that led to a one on one encounter with Blade and.. Kafka?
Long story short Blade begrudgingly helps Caelus out when he’s in a jam, but for the most part he keeps to the shadows and does his own thing. Whether what he does is morally ‘right or wrong’ doesn’t concern him.
He has the symbiote, Venom, and he absolutely hates it. Yet, well, here they are.
There was an incident when things got a little.. tense between Caelus and Blade. Before the situation escalated Kafka was able to get Blade under control.
Overall he doesn’t really do too much as ‘spiderman,’ but you’ll definitely have a chance at catching him beat the absolute shit out of a robber in a dark alley, their cries for help muffled as they’re eaten alive by the symbiote :D
Unfortunately for Blade, Kafka isn’t particularly fond of him eating people, due to the hassle of keeping it on the down-low. He’s supplied with massive amounts of chocolate to substitute for the people he was firmly told he can no longer consume, unless it’s a dire situation.
Blade truly sees his life as a misfortune, especially during moments where Caelus coerces him into helping him out. He’s really under no obligation to help, but something about Caelus persuades him to comply (albeit begrudgingly).
They make a great duo! Surprisingly. Like, Caelus can already be a hard hitter, when he chooses to use his bat, but add Blade into the mix? Whoever they’re fighting is not surviving that fight.
𓆩♡𓆪
Your hands slip under his shirt, cold against the warm skin of his abdomen. You trace the outline of his many scars; they feel rough against the delicate pads of your fingers. You move closer to Blade, burying your head into the crook of his neck.
You can feel the gentle rise and fall of his chest against your own; it soothes you.
He moves, his hands slipping under your shirt as well, tracing the curve of your spine.
“You really are such a handful…” He murmurs the words, quiet and emitting a gentle warmth. You shiver from his gentle touch, cold fingers leisurely teasing your skin.
You debate speaking up, to let him know you’re awake, but you quickly decide against it when he speaks once more.
“No one could compare to you. When I’m with you, I feel a warmth I haven’t felt in a long, long time…” Blade’s uncharacteristically honest words cause your heart to swell.
You struggle to contain your smile. You feel him shift closer to you, and soon a pair of surprisingly soft lips are pressed against your temple.
He remains silent now. Enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, running his hands along your skin.
“I love you too.” You finally say. He startles for a moment, and it makes you giggle. When you pull your head away from his neck you’re barely able to make out the sight of his flushed cheeks before he shoves your face back to its previous position.
He says nothing, but the smile on his face says all the things he fails to put into words.

Leaving The Web [Part 6 - Epilogue] - Platonic Yandere Miguel O'Hara w/ Daughter Symbiote Spider Reader
Tumblr media
Broken Truth: Someone in the comments asked me for a Part 6 to this storyline so I decided to make an Epilogue. Please enjoy this final part of Leaving The Web.
[Earth-928 / Spider-Society / Infirmary]
"Broken Ribs. Fractured Leg, Bruised Ego." Lyla said as she went over Miguel's Medical Chart while the Leader of the Spider-Society was laying in a bed with his body bandaged and his red eyes looking at the ceiling with his traditional frown on his face while he slowed his breathing to relieve the pain on his ribs. It had been a week since he was thrown back into the portal by Venom & his daughter, [Name], and he was just now gaining consciousness. Miles and Gwen with the help of Peter B. Parker got him into the infirmary so that he could get his wounds looked at and bandaged but he passed out from the pain and the stress
"Just tell me how the operations are doing, Lyla." Miguel said in his nonchalant voice.
"All the operations are going smoothly, most of the Anomalies have been captured and returned to their proper Earth...but Peter has not sent anyone to Capture Venom and [Name]," Lyla explained.
"Why? I flagged that as a top priority. I need them back home as soon as possible." Miguel said as he looked at Lyla but she just shook her head and looked at her creator through her heart glasses.
"Miguel, you know that I normally joke about these things but you need to let [Name] go, she doesn't want anything to do with us, mainly you, so it's time to let them go and leave them to have their own life," Lyla said.
"But, I need her..." Miguel said ut Lyla shook her head.
"No. You had her and she tried to get your love and attention - you abandoned her to raise another daughter when your other version was killed in that robbery. You called her a burden and looked at her with disgust whenever she tried to get your attention. Think - do you really want her or do you just want to replace what you lost?" Lyla said as she disappeared. Miguel looked at the ceiling and thought about what Lyla said - it was a serious question and he didn't know the answer to it.
[Name's] Earth]
[Name] walked down the street with her hands in the pockets of her leather jacket - which was actually Venom - as she was heading to her job to collect her paycheck for the week.
"Do you think Madame Kristen will give us the Chocolate Sculpture of us?" Venom asked.
'I'm not sure, that's the most sought-after creation she has and I think she promised it to her niece for her birthday.' [Name] thought as she walked into the store and out after getting her money with her weekly bonus only to see the Vulture flying over her head as Cop Cars chased after him.
"Do we really have to?" Venom asked.
"You know the answer to that, V." [Name] said as she walked into the alley and let the Symbiote consume her into her Spider-Woman Suit, and swung after the cop cars. After attacking the Vulture and defeating him, allowing the cops to take him away, Spider-Woman swung away to reach her apartment and found a note attached to her door in familiar writing.
Mija and Venom,
I know that you didn't want to hear from me again after you both beat the crap out of me and tossed me back into my portal to send me back to the Spider-Society but I wanted to tell you both that I am sorry for everything that I have done to you. I ignored you. I neglected you. I failed you. I shall leave you alone and never return to your Earth again so long as there are no anomalies there, but I won't bother you and make you come back home with me. If you decide to come home, I shall accept and love you. Love you and live your best life.
Signed, Your Father, Miguel O'Hara.
[Name] and Venom looked at the note before going into their apartment for dinner and chocolate.
Just another day in New York for Spider-Woman and Venom.

warnings: none!
summary: reader & könig share an ice bath :3 while you mentally list the things you like about him.
wrdcnt: 3K
Tumblr media
The metal door creaks loudly and heavily, sounding off in the empty hallway as you step in with your towel hanging on your arm. A big ‘whoosh’ can be heard when the door shuts behind you, keeping you in the freezer like room as well as catching the attention of the only other person in the room. Wide and brown eyes flicker towards you with the swivel of the persons head, delighting you in an instant.
‎‏‏‎
“Hey, König.”
As a reaction, he abruptly sat up out of his slouch, exposing his nude triceps and abdomen while nearly throwing the freezing ice and water out of the metal tub he was sitting in. The wet material of the bottom half of his veil dangles, wet and heavy.
Before you can even pretend to not laugh at him, your teeth come on display with a humored grin as you began walking over to an unoccupied metal tub.
As if he just sat in the freezing water, his chest began to rise and fall a lot quicker than what it usually was. You’d only just got here but he can already feel the heat burning across his chest. Out of all the ways you could’ve have greeted him, why’d you have to say his name like this all the time? In his mind, König thought you wanted him to fawn over you on purpose.
Maybe that honey in your voice was reserved for him only. After all that time of observing you, he came to the conclusion that you spoke to him extra sweetly to trap him. Sure, his shyness puts him on the sidelines when you’re talking with other people around base but at least that lets him see what type of person you are from a distance. He’s done it long enough to become solid with the fact that he feels for you more than just a teammate.
It’s not far-fetched to say that you could’ve been at fault for the way that he stammers and sweats around you but even he knew that it was partly his fault. Nobody told him to be at your beck and call whenever a new mission would come up and definitely nobody told him to sit and make you laugh whenever it was just the two of you at the canteen.
If he knew that your laugh would make him feel the same way that your smile would, he wouldn’t have found you in the first place.
König found himself stuck like a spider that had created his own web of honey.
The loud ruckus of ice dumping into your metal bath snatches him out of his head, bringing him back into the tension of the ice room. “Yknow, I never expected you to be so fit.”
You wolf whistle, taking a moment from your pour to look him over. He nods before shrugging, meeting your eyes before looking at his shorts through the water and ice. “Me neither,” he drly jokes, still somehow making you laugh. Underneath his veil, the corner of his lip fights to stay down despite his feelings. “You’re so cute, König.” You trail off, heading to turn the faucet near your bath.
It wasn’t everyday that you called him cute. At times you’d call him hot, adorable… and on the rarest of days, you’d call him your military husband. That nickname was his favorite. He shakes his head, trying to get rid of the blush that was tightening his cheeks with every passing second. If you kept talking to him, the ice in his bath would melt before you were out of here.
After checking the temperature of the water pouring into your bath, you hum and settle your hands onto your hips, turning to könig with a small frown on your face. “Was your water a bit warm?”
“Cold enough to freeze.”
The bunch of your eyebrows quickly disperse as you smile and began trotting towards him. “W-what are you doing?” He stammers. To show him that you’ll do no harm, you raise your hands and come to a stop at the end of his bath. “Don’t trip, i’m just checking your temp.”
“Why’re you checking mine?”
You only smirk and stick you hand into the water, your hair shields the mischievous grin that stretched across your face. He remains still, trying not to disturb the stillness of the ice as you pull your hand back.
“That’s pretty cold.”
And without warning, your hands come down to tug off the shirt that you wore.
If König could get any stiffer than he already was, he would turn into a statue. Behind his mask, you can see a little bit of the whites of his eyes and the sight made you belly laugh, nearly causing you to fall over as you worked your feet out of your pants. “What’s wrong? You blushing under that thing?”
“I- I… no?” he hunched his shoulders, speechless at the way you meekly slip into his bath, shamelessly sitting on his legs from the other end as he does his best to control his breathing. “Y/N, your water is still—“
“Shh.” you raise a finger, wincing at the freezing cold water. He doesn’t try to argue and instead let you adjust, his fingers clawing at the rough fabric of his shorts as you scoot down, furthering your seating up onto his knees. “Phew, this does not get any easier.”
By now, König’s entire chest was red. Was it because he was holding his breath, was it because of anxiety, or was it because of his lieutenant sitting in his ice bath with him? Either way, he was about to jump out and run down the hallway in his shorts. Tension in his chest builds and builds enough for him to take his arms out of the water and instead rest them on the rim of the bath.
“This isn’t uncomfortable, is it?” you lock eyes with him as you slid down further, going far enough for your knees to come out of the water.
“Why’re you warming mine up, you’re going to melt all of my ice—“
“You don’t wanna share with me?”
“Yes, but—“
“Ah, I knew it. ‘Always wanting me around.” you tease, poking your foot into his belly. Your toe accidentally went directly into one of the chiseled abs that he apparently didn’t even have to work for. Before you can blink, your ankle is tight in his grip and you were unable to settle your feet down again, making your lips part in surprise.
The pair silently stare at each other with nervousness bubbling in their core but nothing happens, making the situation weirder. König doesn’t say anything and instead sighed and let your foot go, even tugging it back down into its original spot. König was a little timid in some areas but his confidence overshadowed it majority of the time. Don’t get him mistaken for some punk with anxiety because he’d only do the exact things everyone would tell him that he couldn’t.
You admired that about him.
A smile peaks at the edge of your lips whilst you settled your wet hands onto your knees. “Theres other ways to show off your strength. No need to get aggressive.”
He shakes his head and bent his neck back, seemingly forcing himself to relax a bit more as a heavy sigh escapes his lips. Admittedly, Lieutenant L/N was awfully stressful today. “I’m off to Mexico today. Would love for you to be there, König.”
Slowly, his head rises to fully look at you, eyes discreetly looking over your form in one quick motion.
“Are you sure you want me out there?”
“Positive. You’re quick on your feet… and I also just like you.”
The ice around you sloshes a little bit as König bristled and scoffed. “Yea right.”
“Sehe ich aus wie ein Lügner?” you dare, sitting up and placing your calloused hands onto his hairy shins, startling him into gripping the silver frame of the tub surrounding the two of you. Your chin comes down in a daring glare as he can only stare back, eyebrows pinched in a false angry expression.
trans: do I look like a liar?
“Setz dich.”
You shake your head, trying him further whilst climbing further. “I don’t take orders from you.”
“It’s best you get away from me,” König hesitates, fixing his posture in hopes of inching away from your bearing form. “If anyone walks in-”
“Oh shush,” you sit on the hardness of his shaped thighs. The air surrounding you swirled with tension and chill. A quiet buzz comes from the ice machine as König watched your palm come to cup his clothed cheek.
He can only stare in awe as a much more gentle look plagued your face. “I just wanted to show you, what I got.”
A jingle sounds off next to his ear as you pull your hand away. He comically tilts his head at the sight of a pendant dangling in front of his hidden face. It was in the shape of a heart and had an overall color of 3 red and white horizontal stripes on the front of it, the flag of austria. A childish grin splits your features as you twist your hand to display the carvings on the back of it.
"Your initials?" He reaches for it, slowly taking it out of your hand. "And yours," you slither back into your original seating, chin daring to dip under the icy water. Your movement cause some of the water to slosh out of the tub but still, König only stares at the gift in awe.
"Why?"
"I did say I like you, right?"
The pair share a look. Y/N was a little confusing sometimes but as in right now, König had no idea what they were thinking. Perhaps you had a change of heart and decided to get sentimental rather than teasing him as you were just mere seconds ago. Or maybe, you were afraid you'd die on this next mission. In his jittering heart, König hopes its not the latter.
"So keep it. Hook it next to your tags."
He watches you with a calculated look before clenching the small silver heart in his calloused palm. Your eyes fail to meet his, the shapes of the melting cubes now too interesting to take you away for a second.
"... So, what do I give you?"
In a snail like fashion, your cheeks round and tighten as a blush burns behind your skin. The feeling reminds you of one of the first memories you had as a child. König gave you that itchy feeling you'd get while laying in the grass and watching the sun disappear behind the horizon. The feeling is vivid enough to make you feel the spikey grass poking into your back as your head turns to watch the black and yellow little bees dance around a dandelion. Bliss was inevitable when it felt like home.
It'd been so many years since you've been back in your country but no matter what-- König made home follow you no matter the trip and no matter the gore you'd face in a mission. You've always face it together.
Behind your cold and wet chest, a heart sighs and smiles. If you had a pen and paper, you'd be able to write a thousand things you like and love about the man that was currently avoiding your gaze. His avoidant behavior was listed at #30, right next to 'The cute way he squints when he sneezes'... #31.
"You could give me a kiss."
"Actual."
"I'm serious, what makes you think I'd joke about that, huh?" You crawl back up his legs and comfortably settle onto his thighs. König lets out a sigh as he brought his hands into the water. They seem to levitate around your waist for a moment until your hands come to settle them right in the comfortable fold of your thigh and hip.
You're close enough to see the dramtic flicker of his eyelids. If he was to have a heartattack, you'd be discharged and investigated immediately. Probably even blamed for murder once they found that white notebook under your pillow. They'd find lines and lines of silly little notes that you did your best to turn into poetry, all in hopes that maybe someday when you and König weren't working-- that you'd read them to him and laugh about how dumb you sounded.
"You... want to kiss...?"
"Just one," you boop his nose through his mask, knowing how much he hates when you do that. He fails to start his usual thrashing though, probably too rattled to even remember what makes him angry and what didn't.
He shook his head and once it again let it fall back. "... My head hurts."
Ice bangs against the metal bin while you tug the wer veil, slowly bringing it up inch my inch until König's gentle face is on full display. The corner of your lip raised once you noticed the small pinch in his eyebrows. Around his small frown, he had brown stubble over his lip and down his jaw. Surely, you'd get the chance to see his full grown beard and maybe even complain about it-- like every couple experiences.
"It's been awhile."
"You saw my face yesterday."
"... It's been awhile," you tease.
Your thumb rubs the small hairs above his lip before dragging down to feel the length of his soft jaw. #14, the way he leans into my hands. A beat of silence passes whilst he watched the way your eyes softened with every second. A gentle look on a face that's so stoneish in the battle field... he thought you were the prettiest thing ever.
"I'm trying to figure out where I wanna kiss you," your brows jump, watching the way he subtly gulps at the sensation of your cold palm reaching up to the short brunete mess of his hair. "If I can only do it once... better choose wisely, huh?"
König raised his chin and looked you over with a small pinch still prominent in his shaggy brows. The look made goosebumps erupt up your spine.
"...Why once?"
You pause, now metting his eyes with an enlightened squint in your eyes. "What was that?"
The attempt to pick on him is once again an exhaust. He locks his jaw and looked down into the water, tapping his fingers against your thighs. It calms him down only the slightest. "König."
Your hand cups his jaw, raising it so that his brown eyes can meet yours. Even on the edge of his jaw, you can feel the heat the bursens his attempt with stoicism. Though his blush was the most prominent evidence of his fluster, there was also the fact that he'd been chewing the inside if his cheek for the entirety of your exchange.
"Can I kiss you?"
He nods with calculation and something tells you that the only reason he had that hard look in his eyes was because of your constant pranking and teasing. The idea was nearly laughable but you fight it and only settle it into a smile. #67, the way he suspects me... even though it's untrusty.
Almost too fast, you dip your head closer before slotting your lips against his. König almost startled but almost like an electric shock, he snaps out of it and kissed you back. He squeezes the softness of your thighs but he quickly corrected himself to move his hands to the end of your thighs, wanting to do all but make you uncomfortable in the slightest.
The moment you catch on, your heart blooms again, butterflies flood your stomach and head straight the the red hive in your chest. Even when you allow more, König could still be a gentleman.
You squeeze your eyes shut even tighter, not watching to kill the mood with your stupid emotions. The kiss is sauve and passionate, slow and intimate. His lips swallow yours with every tilt of your head and every pause of your movement. The two of you press against each other impossibly closer once his arms locked themselves behind your back and pushed your half nude form into his.
A gasp nearly escapes but not a single breathe evades him. Your lips lock and your tongue comes to tangle in the swim of your motion. To say that you were impressed by his skill, would be keeping it generous. Perhaps that thing Ghost said about the quiet ones was true.
The kiss lasts for a minute before König had to physically swivel his head to tear away from your lips. Suddenly self aware, you closely watch the way he has to compose himself. "Was that... okay?"
"More than," he instantly answered.
Still shy, you nod and lick your lips before scooting back into that familiar position from the start.
"... You're a pretty good kisser... by the way." The ice hit the metal bin as you shrug, feinging coolness while König did the same. His hands remained hidden beneath the water whilst you fidgeted with your head instead of facing the music of what you'd actually just done. Now what comes next was the discussion of what you two would be after this along with the long talk of how the relationship would work while on active duty. The possibility of König not wanting to take things that far does indeed create a dropping hill within your gut but still, you look forward to the goodness that could happen anyway.
"Thanks."
A soft smile spreads across your heated face before you're pointing to the veil hanging on the edge of the tub. "You may wanna... put that on. Bunch of rookies comin' in soon."
Owlishly, he blinked before a small 'oh' escaped his lips. He instantly reached for the fabric and did as suggested, feeling a sense of relief as he now had the chance to hide the emotions that were easiest to see.
Reason #678, the fact that he can't hide from me, no matter the cloth.

"Gorgeous! You're so pretty, girl! Alright, the changing room is to the left, you can put it on the hook. It'll be ready for you tomorrow when I finish making all the proper altercations." You squealed in pure joy. Since you had been a fashion major, outfits had just poured out of you like run-off. Of course every now and again there were people who wanted things custom ordered, which made you extremely happy. But you knew who your favorite customer was. And, speaking of your favorite customer, he should be here right now. There was a muffled tiny 'thwip' noise that you would have missed if you weren't straining to hear every individual sound over the beat of 'Shirt' By SZA in your studio.
You sighed with a small smile, walking to your studio's window. "Darling, I keep telling you this, I have a door, just strut through it whenever you want" you giggled as you lifted the window pane, coming face-to-face with the one and only Spider-Man. "Whatcha got for me today, my dear?" you asked as you beckoned him inside the studio, taking a set in front of the many vision boards you had pinned down to your desk. "Hey! sorry, snips, I'll use the door next time. And I brought this design plan, actually." He hummed with a smile that was hidden behind his mask. He had a habit of calling you snips due to always seeing you with some sort of scissors, not that you minded anyway. He walked up to you and handed you a folded-up piece of paper, which had a plethora of sketches for a new Spider-Man suit.
Your eyes widened with joy as you took a scan of the paper. Next to the various drawings, there was one circled design with many notes jotted down next to it with measurements, material, color shades, and substitute color shades. It was the most solid suit plan you had ever seen. You turned the paper around to see more notes, and the smaller parts of the suit enlarged. It was perfect from top to bottom. Everything you needed to know was on paper, which made your job unfathomably easier.
"You know I love you for this, right?" You squealed with a wide grin. "Fuck you! How dare you bring such perfection into my studio!" You joked, giving the Spider a tight hug. He chuckled quietly, muttering, "Had to make it easy for my personal seamstress! C'mon, snips, I'd never do that to you." he added as he gave you a pat on the back. Miles usually came into the studio to fix tears or rips in his suit, get patched up, and then swing back out. But recently, he's been talking about reworking his Spider-Suit. So, like a good 'friend' you offered to help him with his project. Of all your clients, only he had given you such a thorough and precise outfit plan.
He began to recall some of his adventures as his alter-ego, letting his mask hook over his nose as he ate some of your cookies on the ceiling. You listened to his experiences as you plucked each corresponding fabric from the fabric closet, placing them next to each other on the ground. You traced each required pattern with a white chalk pencil, referencing the measurements documented on Miles's paper and keeping seam allowance in mind. "Damn, that's crazy...so what'd you do next, B? You had to web her?" you replied as he raved about some Doc-Oc he caught on his way here. "Yeah, I got her in webs and turned her over to the police. She was dead ass putting up a fight too." He spat as he took the final bite of his cookie.
"That's insane...C'mere I gotta make sure I got this little web design right on your mask," You said as you beckoned him to come down from your ceiling. He zipped down, landing on both of his feet within seconds. You held up the small fabric sheet, allowing him to examine the thin markings where his web design would go. "Nice! Looks amazing. Wouldn't expect anything less from mi Costurera personal!" He exclaimed. You smiled delicately as you continued cutting out the patterns, leaving the spaces he wanted to spray paint on blank.
You spent the next 9 hours talking as you finished his suit and mask. He leaned back on your desk, arms crossed against his chest as you explained color theory, why you were sewing his suit inside out, and why you outlined the pattern with white chalk. It was getting dark outside, and you felt slightly drowsy as you finished the last stitches on his mask. "Alright, love, here you go. I'm pretty sure it's the right size, but put it on when you get time and come back if it's too small." you smiled as you hand him the mask. "Oh, dope! Bet." He says as he suddenly pulls off his mask, releasing his fluffy hair from the tight confines of the spandex. Your eyes widened as you slowly realized Spider-Man had casually taken his mask off in front of me.
You didn't hide that you were staring at his entire face, analyzing his features as soon as the mask came off. He chuckled as he put the other mask on, looking in the mirror on the wall to check out his new mask. "It's perfect! It's exactly like how I wanted, you're a literal angel!" he fanboys as he poses like a dork in my mirror. "How much do I owe you?" He asks as he turns around, fidgeting with the gloves of his suit as he pulled out a wad of money from seemingly nowhere. "Pshh, bitch you look amazing. Just take the suit. It's free." I insisted, leaning back in my chair and placing both feet on my desk.
His eyes narrowed as he advanced to me, grabbed my wrist, and firmly placed the money in my hand. "That was 10 hours of work. I'm NOT taking advantage of your labor." He stated, pulling off his mask purely so he could give me the most serious, slightly-offended look of his life. I nodded slowly as I put the money in my bag cautiously. "Good. Thank you, mi angelita!" He added, pressing a small kiss to my forehead. "C'mon, I'll swing you home. I know your studio closed hours ago" he reasoned as he scooped me up from my chair, throwing me over his shoulder and slipping his new mask back on. "Spidey, c'mon its really no trou-" I began
"Miles." He corrected.
I sighed as I packed up his suit, gently wrapping it in a cute little box and signing it with my infamous signature, "M.J." before wrapping both arms around his neck gently and giving him a small kiss on his temple, mentally preparing myself to swing through half the damn city at inhumane speeds.
Miles's eyes widened at the small detail, turning to look behind him slightly with a small smirk.
"M.J, huh?"

(My Spanish isn’t great, so I did use google translate and spanishdict to help…)
Chapter 9- And the puzzles fall into place..
Miguel has been very tense lately, which was making you tense. You figured he was feeling tense due to the green goblin incident.
Your only clue was when you asked him about it, he had simply snapped his pen in half, causing ink to spill on his paperwork.
So you were planning a little day trip with Miguel to help him relax. It was set in motion for Saturday morning, but as of right now you were going to cook him a meal and help him unwind.
You were at his apartment door, with Tupperware of food. When he answered, he looked like he hadn’t slept. “Amor, what are you doing here?” He ushers you inside and you kiss him on his stubbled cheek.
“I am here to feed you. You’ve been coming in late and don’t think I don’t notice. I’ve been keeping tabs on Spider-Man. You had prevented a helicopter from crashing last night.”
At the mention of that he looked pissed. “Whoa, did I say something wrong?” He shakes his head as he takes the food from you and places it in his kitchen. “No, soy sólo…promise not to get upset?”
“All depends, Miguel. What am I not getting upset about?” He sighs and he rubs his eyes. “The Green Goblin showed up last night. They had baited me, which now thinking about it I should’ve known better. And I’m lucky no one got killed. Si hubiera sabido que era una trampa, no habría seguido a ese hijo de puta.”
“Miguel, baby. I know Spanish but please english.” You tell him as you see he is really riled up. He closes his eyes and nods. “Sorry, amor. So anyways the helicopter, it was holding someone important inside or so I thought. When I had finally stopped it from falling out of the sky, I had opened the doors expecting to see the person but no, it was a note and a fucking pumpkin. Esa maldita calabaza estúpida!”
He smacks the counter making you jump because with his claws he left huge scratch marks. “W…what was on the note?” You ask him. He gives a dark chuckle. “It said, next time I won’t leave just a trick. I’ll give you a treat. I had to grab the pumpkin and throw it into the Britannia river. It was only a bomb, no toxins this time but still. How could I be so stupid!”
You walk over to him and rub his back to soothe him. “You didn’t know, but you will for next time. Alright let’s talk, what do you know about this Green Goblin? Maybe talking about it will help you calm down some and we can bounce ideas off of each other.” He nods as he leans against his counter.
“So far, all I know is that this beast has a flare for blowing things up, and they are into Halloween a little too much for me.”
“Well in my perspective, I remember them gliding on something…they could be into tech? Maybe they have a large amount of money or stole the money. They have some knowledge in toxins. And they have a flare dramatics.”
“The thing that’s bothering me the most of about this green goblin is how do they know where to strike. They always seem to attack when I’m in the area.”
“Wouldn’t that be funny if you had a secret admirer?” You joke. Miguel doesn’t even crack a smile. “Yeesh touchy crowd. How about you make some notes on this big bad, and when you’re done let’s eat. I made curry chicken, with fluffy white rice and if you’re not full, I made some sweet potato pie.”
Miguel rubs his stomach. “I’ll make the notes later. Right now let’s eat I am starving.” You pat his stomach and smile. “Alright, now when you eat make sure you don’t pass out.”
After you two were done eating, you were enjoying each others company on the couch while watching a movie. “Baby?”
“Yes, princesa?” He look over at you and you sit up. “Can I steal a bit of your morning tomorrow?” You ask as you pull the blankets over the two of you. “Of course, pero porque mi amor?”
“Well, it’s more of a gift from me to you. I know your jobs both as a scientist and hero can be stressful, so I have a secret activity for us to do. It might not be fancy but it’s calming and you can let Spider-Man get a break. How does that sound?”
“Eso suena como el cielo.” Miguel says as he pulls you onto his lap.
You nuzzle up close to him and you give a nod. “Well you better be up and at it tomorrow morning. I want to get on the road with as little traffic as possible. Do you mind if I sleep here tonight? Erica and Denis are having a date night at the apartment.”
“No need to ask, you know I love it when you sleep over. How about we get to bed? I don’t know about you but I don’t want a crook in my neck.” As you two get ready for bed, you and Miguel were in the bathroom brushing your teeth while he was washing his face. You look over at Miguel’s bare torso and frown a little.
He has so many scars and bruises you can’t help but close the distance between you two and kiss the one on his shoulder. “Just a scratch, amor. I’ll heal.” He says with a sleepy grin. “That’s not the point, Miguel. All of these scars, no wonder you’re tired. You’re practically carrying Nueva York on your back.”
“I’d carry heaven and hell on my back if it meant to keep you safe, Tommie.” He places his hand on your cheek and he kisses your forehead. You sigh because you know once he gets this way there’s no talking him out of it. “Alright princesa, it is time for bed.” He scoops you up and leads you to the bedroom.
He places you in bed and you turn off his lamp on his nightstand. Soon after he crawls into bed next to you and pulls you in close. “Have I told you how much I am in love with you, Tommie Valentine?”
“Oh this must be serious, you’re using my first and last name.” You tease as you rub your hand against another one of his bruises. “I am serious, amor. You know sometimes I think about the future. I think about us married and happy. And sometimes…I think about not being Spider-Man.”
You look at his pretty hazel eyes in the dim moonlight and rub your thumbs against his cheeks. “Whether you’re Spider-Man or just Miguel O’Hara the scientist, I would still be proud and love you…and I’d marry you.”
A huge grin breaks out across Miguel’s face. “You’d marry me?” You nod thinking why would that even be a question? “Of course, you know sometimes if I’m just sitting there, I can picture this pretty red diamond wedding ring on my finger.” Miguel was quiet for a while and you notice he was just staring at your hand.
“Mi corazón en forma humana.” He whispers. “What does that mean again?” You ask him. “I’ll tell you some other time. Now let’s get to sleep, Spider-Man is getting a day off tomorrow.” You don’t argue. Instead you lay down and close your eyes, dreaming about a wedding that you swear you’ve seen before.
•••
“Amor, where are we-watch out for that ardilla!” You swerve avoiding the squirrel and you roll your eyes. “Miguel, you act as if I can’t drive. I am an excellent driver.”
“Dile eso a los animales.” He mutters. “Hey! I heard that!” You make a turn and Miguel does a praying motion with his hands. “Where are we going? I’m asking for the sake of the animals.” Miguel asks as you drive up to an empty parking lot.
“The animals will be fine, and we are here. Come on, help me get the cooler and the poles please.” You get out of the car and Miguel grabs the cooler while you make sure the fishing poles are secured.
“I didn’t take you as the fishing type, amor.” You shrug. “I fished a lot with my mom. She said she would get her best ideas out on the water. Now the spot she’d take me is in CT, and since we aren’t there, I figured this spot would be second best.”
You walk down to the water and place the fishing poles down. “I’ll go grab the chairs.” You offer. “No need, I’ll grab them.” Miguel webs his way back to the car and when he gets back you had your hands on your hips. “Què?” He asks as he lands. “It’s Spider-Man’s day off remember? So that means no web slinging.”
Miguel looks at you and shrugs. “Forgive me, I will behave.” He sets the chairs up for you and you straighten out your jeans as you place the bait on the hooks. You hand Miguel a pole as you get yours and you cast out your line.
When you sit down you inhale the cool air and sigh. “When I was…six. I had went on this fishing trip with my parents. I was scared because my mom said when she was little she would catch fish as big as a dog. For some reason in my head I thought those fish were going to eat me. Funny I know. But I had the best time. I even caught three fish that day.” You say looking over at Miguel.
He looked like he was thinking. “The one time I went fishing it was with my sperm-father, and my little brother. That was the only day I can say I had fun with my father. We had caught this trout that was twice the size as me and Gabriel. My father had told me that if there is one thing an O’Hara can do, it’s provide for their family. Funny how he taught us that and he was still un pedazo de mierda.”
“Alright let’s not think about the past, let’s focus on catching some fi-” Miguel’s line flicks and he reels in whatever he just caught. “Alright!” He cheers as he feels in a bass. “That’s good baby, you caught something great.” You say feeling a bit jealous, because you wanted to catch something.
“I’m going to let it go. It’s a mother, I can tell from the egg sack.” Miguel gently takes the fish off of the hook and puts it back in the water.
“I can’t wait to see what you catch, amor. I bet it’ll be huge.” Miguel says with encouragement. “Yeah, huge.” You reply as you sit forward hoping for a bite. Miguel flicks out his line again and several minutes later he gets another bite.
You side eye him as he gets excited. “Come on fishes, what’s a girl to do to get a bite? At least a little nibble?” You mutter to yourself. “Amor do you need any help?”
“No, I got it. I got this. It’s just fish, fish that I haven’t caught yet.” You mutter as you wait for a bite. “I can help you, you know.” You cut your eyes at him and he looks away. “O tal vez no.”
You get a tug on your line and you reel it in. “Come to mama. Come on baby, come on.” You get the fish out of the water and your smile immediately vanishes. On your hook was the smallest fish you ever did see. “Miguel O’Hara if you laugh don’t expect me to come over your place for a week.” You say taking the tiny fish off of your hook and tossing them back. “I wasn’t going to say anything, amor.”
“But? I know you want to say but.” You ask as you get cast your line out. “But maybe I can help you out? I don’t want you to be angry. This is suppose to be relaxing.”
“I got it, just let me get a hang of this…anyways speaking of things I can’t stand, remember when I went to Trenton with Mr Stark? Well we had made a stop for his meeting with Mr D’Angelo and tell me why Dana pops up there? I don’t know about you but the girl seems obsessed.” You look over at Miguel and his jaw was clenched. “What did she say to you?”
“She was being fake, talking about how she had too many drinks, so that’s why she acted the way she did. She even apologized but I’m still calling that bullshit. Oh! She had the nerve to invite us to some event dinner for next month. But I told her that we would be unavailable.”
“You know she’s going to do everything in her power to make sure we attend, right?” You shrug. “Baby, the ancestors could say accept the invitation, we are not going.”
“Be on the look out, Dana will use her resources to make it impossible to miss this event. I wonder why she wants us there.”
“I don’t know, but the thought of her being in the same room as you makes me want to vomit. Still can’t believe you dated that snake even if it was one date.”
“Amor, please don’t remind me.” Miguel groans as you feel a large tug. “Whoa! This is a big one I can feel it.” You try to reel in the fish, but it feels like it’s going to snap the pole.
“Oh no, come on…please don’t b-” And just like that your pole snaps. You just stare in silence and when Miguel makes an attempt to speak you raise a hand. “Don’t…just please don’t.” You take the last piece of your pole and just sit in your chair.
“Am-” You raise a hand to tell him not to speak and you just dig into the cooler and grab out a peanut butter sandwich.
Miguel stabs his pole into the dirt and he stands up. He crouches down behind you and lets his chin rest on your shoulder. “Miss Valentine, are you upset?” You take a hard bite out of your sandwich. “Nope, I’m relaxing.”
“Doesn’t look that way.” You huff, eating your sandwich and he stands up and he walks so he’s standing in front of you. “Ven a sentarte conmigo.” He says as he gently pulls you up. You pout but you follow him back to his chair.
“Miguel this chair has a weight limit. It won’t hold the both of us.” You point out as he pulls you onto his lap. “Nonsense, mi amor. We will be fine. Now look out onto the calm waters and tell me what you see.”
“Water, more water and that punk ass fish that broke my fishing pole.” You tell him. He laughs at your answer and wraps his arms around you. “Well I see, calm waters. A beautiful sky, and an amazing woman with a pout on her face.”
“But the fish broke my pole.” You whine to him. “I know baby girl. And I’ll buy you another one. But for now, let’s just enjoy this moment alone. We have no interruptions, no bosses calling, it’s just you…and me.” Miguel says as he places his hands on your thighs.
“Miguel, I know I didn’t pack three poles, so what is that?” You say as you feel his dick press against your ass. “Oh I think you know what that is. And if it was a pole, then I just got a lucky catch.” He says as he kisses the side of your neck.
You position yourself on his lap so that you can feel his reaction through your jeans and you slowly start to hump him. “Niña traviesa, you just don’t care if someone catches us like this do you?” He reaches under your shirt and he pinches your nipples.
“T…then I’ll be careful.” You moan out. Miguel chuckles against your neck and he coos you as you moan a bit louder. “That’s it, make yourself feel good. Show me how you want to come.” You stop for a second and you undo your pants.
“What are you doing, amor?” He asks as you turn and pull his pants down a bit to release his hardening dick. “I’m showing you how I want to come.” You face the water as you position yourself above him and he gets a hold of your hips. “Guide it in, mi corazón.” Miguel says as you rub your clit against the head of his dick.
You ease down and once he’s inside you still. “This is good, Tommie. If…if someone comes up, it’ll look like we’re just looking at the water, instead of just fucking each other in this chair.” Miguel starts moving his hips up and you lean forward getting balance on his knees.
You really start to get into it but you two hear a car in the distance. Miguel grabs you up and he webs the two of you into a tree top. He balances you against him and a tree.
“Seems like we’re going to have some company soon. But that shouldn’t stop us from having fun, cierto mi amor?” Miguel has you balanced on a thick tree branch and you feel him grind inside of you. “M…Miguel, I s…said no Spider-man powers.” You moan out as you feel the excitement of someone possibly catching you two up in the trees.
“Oh, chingados…mi amor. Why did you clench like that? Don’t tell me you’re turned on at the thought of someone catching us? Mmm, I bet you’re imagining it now. Someone just happening to look up and see your guts being rearranged.” Miguel grips your ass as he thrusts in slow and deep, causing you to grip the tree.
“Please don’t stop. Please keep going.” Miguel slaps your ass and leans in so he’s deeper. “Say it in Spanish, mami.” Miguel says as he grips the back of your shirt. “Por favor no te detengas, Miguel.” You moan out as you look back at him.
He grabs a hold of your chin and he kisses you deeply. “La buena niña, now throw it back for daddy. Show me that you know how to fuck me back.”
You grip the tree trunk and just as he asks you throw it back on him, causing him to bite his shirt and slap your ass. He grunts and you look forward seeing two men setting up their stuff on the other side of the lake.
Miguel yanks your hair back causing a yelping moan. “Don’t even think about it. I’m not sharing, and they can’t fucking watch. You’re all mine, Tommie. All fucking mine.” He starts pounding into you quickly and you moan out that you don’t know what he’s talking about with a smirk on your face.
“Parezco estúpida? I bet you’d love for them look up right now and watch you getting fucked. They’d probably want to join but that will never happen, do you hear me?” Miguel slides out of you and he turns you around so you’re looking at him only.
He grips your throat and you feel his claws slightly dig in. You smile at him and that makes his roughly slide into you. “You love smiling? You just love fucking smiling. Te daré algo por lo que sonreír.” He lets your throat go and he takes your wrists and pins them above your head.
With his webbing he makes your wrists stay in place and he pins your legs apart, also webbing them in place. Miguel pounds deeply into you and you let out loud groan but he places a hand over your mouth. “Not fucking smiling now, are we, amor? Fuck your little cunt feels so good and tight. I might have to just breed you while we’re up here. Is that what you want, princesa? Do you want to have my babies?” He moves his hand from your mouth so you can answer him.
“Yes baby, I d…do. I want your babies, I want to have your babies.” He covers your mouth again and he pounds into you, making you feel sex drunk. “That’s too bad, when you’re my good girl, I’ll give you my babies. But for now you only get this dick deep in this little pussy. I bet it tastes good, don’t you want a taste?” You nod as your eyes roll back.
Miguel slides out of you and he balances so he’s on his knees. He spreads your pussy lips wide and he flicks his tongue fast against your clit. You jerk from his movement and you want to fuck his face, but he has you webbed down to the tree.
He shakes his head fast as he slides two fingers inside of you and you start seeing stars as you squirt. He sucks your lips and clit all together causing you to squirm and jerk. “Baby, baby…” You beg as you pull at the webbing.
He looks up at you and his ruby red eyes seem glisten with happiness. “What’s the matter, Tommie? Is this too much for you? I thought you wanted a taste?” Miguel stands up towering over you and he brings his slick wet fingers to your lips. You open your mouth and suck his fingers, moaning.
“Look at that, such an obedient lover you are. Sucking daddy’s fingers dry. But don’t worry, I’ll get something else soaked.” Before you could think, Miguel was back inside of you pounding without mercy. Your head lolls back against the tree and you feel yourself about to come again.
“No te rindas ahora, princesa. I know you can take this dick, just like those other times.” He grips the tree getting deep as he thrusts. He puts his thumb against your swollen clit and you shake as you come once more.
Miguel growls as he come deep inside of you. He kisses you on your lips and where his claws had gripped. “I’m sorry, amor. You just know how to bring the beast out of me.” Miguel uses his claws to cut you out of the webbing and you manage to pull your pants back up as you sag against him.
“I got you, Tommie.” He says as he holds you up. You both see the two men starting to pack up and leave, which was a good thing because Miguel lands with you in his arms and he sets you down.
You sit down in your chair as you catch your breathe and Miguel takes his line out of the water. “I don’t know about you but, that helped me relax.” Miguel comments. You look at him and shake your head chuckling. “You are a mess.”
“No amor, I made the mess inside of you.” That comment caused the both of you to burst out laughing. “Alright, well now that we made a mess, let’s get back to these fish. I’m going to get a big one. Just watch.” You tell Miguel as you get his pole. He simply walks over and he help you out. “How about we catch some together?” You nod at that and for the rest of the morning you and Miguel relaxed as the fish kept biting on the hook.

If there was one thing you knew about your work life, you knew that Mr Stark loved to make a good impression.
When he peeked into your office, you were reading over some emails and making sure Mr Stark wasn’t double booked. “Miss Valentine?” He asks as he knocks on your door frame.
“Yes Mr Stark sir?” You look away from the computer screen for a moment. “It has come to my attention that the D’Angelo family will be hosting a dinner at Le Rose next month.”
“Yes, I heard about that. I hope you and Mrs Stark have a great time there.” You say as you type a few words down. “We will and I have been told that Mr D’Angelo’s daughter had invited you as well.” Your fingers freeze over the keys. “Yes but I won’t be able to attend. I’m sure with the paper work and it’s getting close to being our busiest part of the season.”
“Nonsense, I’m sure you can come to the dinner. This is a perfect opportunity to show the other guests that this company has what it takes for social events. I will see you there.” He says smiling as he leaves your office.
You grind your teeth so hard it’s a shock they didn’t turn into dust. You dial Miguel immediately and he answers on the third ring. “Hola amor, give me a second I’m just checking on these incubated eggs.” He puts you on hold for a second and when he gets back on the phone you let him know what’s wrong.
“So Mr Stark basically is saying I have to go to that dinner next month all because he wants to look good in front of people. Well he is going to be disappointed when I round house that girl across her head.”
“Amor, amor. Cálmate.” You look at your phone. “I am calm, Miguel, I am just venting.” You tell him as you take out some fruit snacks from your desk. “I know. I just don’t want you to burst out of your office and curse your boss out. Eso no seria buena.”
“No it’s not. I…I really don’t want to go. I feel like she’s going to make me look bad in front of you, or try to flirt with you.” You open the fruit snacks and chew on a few. “That won’t happen. If anything I’ll just put her in her place. Simple como eso, amor.”
You tsk and shake your head. “I would say that’s a good idea, but I feel like she would somehow make things worse.” You hear Miguel talking to someone in the background so you wait for him to answer. “…Well, if we’re going then, we are going to make it a night to remember.” You felt happy with his comment. “Miguel, I honestly don’t deserve you. If you were here I’d give you the biggest kiss.”
“Amor, don’t tell me that. I get to go on my lunch break in five minutes and I will web sling all the way to you just to get a kiss.” You look at watch and smirk. “Well I just so happen to be going on my break in a few, so if you’re planning on dropping by, then I wouldn’t be oppose to you web slinging by and taking me away for lunch. Maybe you’d get more than a kiss.”
“Qué obtendría?” He asks. “Oh I can’t let my secret out of the bag just yet, but just know that it’ll be worth your time, and I’d be thrilled to my knees to see you.” You tell him in a seductive tone. “I’ll be there in ten minutes.” He hangs up and you laugh at his abruptness.
You get your things in order and you decide to time him on if he really will be web slinging to you in ten minutes.
Then again, you wanted lunch with Miguel, not Spider-man today. Plus, the office was getting more and more people stopping by these days. You call Miguel but his phone goes to voicemail. “Baby, I know you’re probably almost here, but just come up to my office as Miguel. There’s a lot of clients coming in the office today and I don’t think I want any of them witnessing Spider-man crawling through my window at high noon.” You end the voicemail and check the times. He had six more minutes, which means you can go to the vending machine and grab something to drink.
As you leave your office you walk past Bruce and he stops you. “Oh Miss Valentine, remember how I told you about my wife? And the baby?”
“Yes, I remember. Is everything okay?” You ask with concern. “Oh everything is fine. But I wanted to invite you and your husband to the baby shower. It’s being held in two weeks. My wife she’s hopeful for a boy and if it makes my wife happy then who am I to argue.”
You notice that Bruce called Miguel your husband and you don’t correct him this time. “I’m sure he would love to come with me. Is there anything you need? Diapers? Bottles? Toiletries for your wife?”
“I’ll ask her and just get to you on it. I still can’t believe I’m going to be a father.” He smiles wide and you feel happy for him. “I know you don’t want to know the gender but what do you hope she has?” You ask as you put your money into the vending machine and press L7.
“Truthfully, I want a girl. I grew up with all boys and I think a girl would be nice in the family. When are you and your husband going to have kids?” You shrug. “I’m not sure, I want to talk to him about it one day though.”
“Talk to me about what, amor?” You look down the hall and you see your pretty hazel eyed beauty walking towards you. “Bruce and his wife are expecting. So they invited us to their baby shower.” You say grabbing your snack from the vending machine.
Miguel’s eyes light up. “Congratulations Bruce, I am happy for you. Please send us the details and we will be there. Amor? I brought you something but I need to show you in your office.” Miguel says as his eyes roam your body.
“Bruce I’m on lunch so if you can, make sure no one disturbs me.” He winks at you and you lead Miguel back to your office.
Once the door is closed and locked, you pull Miguel down and kiss him. You back step until your butt bumps against your desk, and Miguel lifts you up and places you on your desk as he moves in close between your legs. “Mmm, maybe I should, web sling here more often.” Miguel says as he slides your skirt up your thighs. “I’m glad you got my message. But you should web sling to me more ofte-get these pants off, baby.” Miguel manages to get his pants down and you shimmmy out of your panties. He gives you a couple of pecks on your neck and he stops, inhaling your scent.
“Hueles tan bien, amor. Now tell me about your day, I want to hear that pretty voice.” Miguel in one swift move picks you up and he flips you onto your stomach on your desk.
He palms your ass and you bite your lips into a smile as you feel his thick dick spread your cunt open. You palm your desk and feel him pounding into you quickly. “M…m…my day, baby slow down. My day was good, until…that news…I….I told you a-Miguel, baby jus…just like that.” You moan out trying to be a bit quiet.
Miguel leans down against you and he bites at your ear. “Mmmm, I thought you liked when I fucked you fast, amor. I thought you liked when I pounded this little..greedy…pussy. Fuck, squeeze me just like that. Wh…what else happened?”
He grabs your wrists behind your back and arches in a way that hits your g spot. You almost squirt from this move but you remain focused…or try.
“I…I’m still mad about the invitation. I…don’t want to talk about D..d…d…Dana but I hate her.” Miguel lets out a moan and kisses your shoulder. “Well that’s why I’m here, amor. To help you forget about her. Maybe I can fuck the memory of her out of you.” He arches your back and you let out a moaning gasp. “Esto está ayudando, mi amor?” You nod, not being able to answer.
“Bien, now let me…tell you about my day. We…amor if you get loud you won’t hear…about my day.” You bite down on your lip as he pounds harder inside of you. You were about to see stars if he kept this up.
“…we have a development…amor, I can’t focus when your grip around me like that. Ay dios mío fuck it.” He grips your desk now and he pounds into you, not caring if you make a noise. Your desk was shaking as you feel yourself trying to stay with your feet on your tippy toes.
“Let go for me amor. I want you to make a mess on this dick. Haz un gran desastre princesa.” You hear a knock at your door but you don’t care. “Coming…” You moan out as Miguel thrusts his come inside of you. He lays on you for a moment and you turn your head slightly and kiss him.
The knocking comes to the door once more and Miguel slides out of you as you fix your clothes. Miguel webs to the ceiling and you clear your throat before opening the door.
Behind the door you see Mr Stark. “Yes sir?” You ask with a fake smile. “I know you’re on your lunch, but I heard noises coming from your office. Is everything alright?” Mr Stark asks as he peeks behind you.
“It is but I seem to be suffering with some cramps.” You hold your stomach and Mr Stark makes a face and backs away. “Oh, well make sure you take care of that. I’ll be going now.” You shut the door and lock it back.
Miguel lands in front of you and when he goes to speak, you press your finger to his lips to stop him.
“My lunch break is for another forty minutes, and you said you would fuck the memories of that woman out of me. So don’t waste your time speaking…just fuck me…”

After a long moment of silence he looked back up at his girlfriend who had a confused expression before bursting into a fit of laughter now making Niki confused
“W-what’s funny? I didn’t tell a joke” he says tilting his head in confusion
“I-I’m sorry but you? Your spiderman? You told me you hate that guy” she says before laughing again slapping her knee
Niki side eyes her before sitting in the rail of Yn’s fire escape
“I said that so you wouldn’t suspect me” he says sighing
“I’m sorry babe but your not spiderman” she says shaking her head and wiping her tears
“Oh. So im not?” Niki says
“No babe. Jokes over” Yn says pulling out her phone leaning on the rail. Niki nods his head
“Okay. Yeah jokes over” Niki says before leaning backwards and falling off the rail
“RIKI!” Yn let’s out a shriek trying her best to reach her boyfriend but failing. Just before she could shriek or even cry, a web wraps around the railing of the fire escape and Niki was on his way back up with a very cocky smirk on his face
Landing safely on his feet, Niki stands up smirking at Yn
“Still think I’m not spiderman?” He asks
“You fucking asshole! Out of all ways too prove to me that your spiderman you fucking jump from the fire escape?!” She asks shoving him
“You weren’t believing me!” Niki says
“Show me the suit! Shoot a web at me or something! You really fucking scared me” Yn says shoving him out the way to get to her room
“Okay Yn wait” he says grabbing her waist only to be shoved away again
“Leave me alone” Yn says opening the window to her bedroom only to have Niki web it closed. Yn turns around to look at him with a glare
He grabs both of her hands bring her closer to him
“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. That was the wrong way to go about it and I shouldn’t have done that too you. I’ll never scare you like that again. Please forgive me?” He says
“No” Yn says quickly
“Pleasssseeeeee Snookum wookum!” Niki says with a pout causing the dark skin girl to finally crack with a smile and giggle
“Fine. I forgive you but the next time you do that shit it’s your ass! And I’ll tell Jay on you” Yn says pointing her finger at him
“Nobody’s scared of jay, I’m spiderman I’ll quite literally web him to a wall” Niki says following Yn into her bedroom
Tumblr media
“Niki stop worrying. I’ve worked the night shift before I’ll be fine” Yn says grabbing her phone from its charger
“Yeah that was one time and you also had a ride! I don’t want you walking home alone” Niki says
“It’s only a 6 minute walk Babe I’ll be fine” Yn says
“You call me if anything happens, I’m serious Yn” he says picking up her house keys to give to her
“I will now go Patrol and stop worrying about me” she says putting a claw clip onto her black, brown, and blond braids
“I’ll always worry about you” Niki says pecking her forehead before pulling his mask over his face
“And you don’t think I worry about you now that I know you spiderman?” She asks making Niki sigh
“I have super strength and super hearing and I can shoot spiderwebs from my wrist. You have nothing to worry about” Niki says making the girl slowly turn around
“So what’re you trying to say?” Yn asks
“Nothing yn. I just want you to be careful alright?” He says pulling down his mask and jumping out the window before the dark skin girl could say anything
Groaning and rolling her eyes, Yn opens her apartment door and leaving
Tumblr media
“Yn you can go home early”
“Are you sure? You know I have no problem staying to close” Yn says to her boss
“Yn, go home and take these with you” her boss says handing her a container of left over sweets from the bakery in the cafe
“Fine, I’ll see you in the morning” Yn says with a pout
“Don’t miss me too much, see in the morning”
Yn grabs her things and leaves the shop with a wave.
She puts in one of her AirPods and gets to walking down the street to her apartment. Pulling out one of the muffins out the bag Yn turns the music down just a bit so she can be aware of her surroundings
“Excuse me sweetheart, can I please have a dollar? I’m hungry” a “homeless man” asked
“I’m sorry I have no cash on me, you can have these if you want?” She says holding out the bag of sweets
“I don’t want that shit! I know you have money” the man says standing up from the curb
“I-I don’t. I’m sorry” she says turning around to make an escape but was to late when the man hit her side with a bat.
She groans falling to the ground. The man grabs at her purse getting frustrated when the bag wouldn’t leave her shoulder
“Get! Off me!” She screams kicking the man in the knee causing him to groan and fall to his knee. Yn gets up making a run for it only for the man to also get up and be hot on her tail.
The man takes a swing for her head but she ducks making him miss. Just running Yn didn’t notice that the man wasn’t chasing her anymore
She looks back seeing the man being thrown around by her boyfriend. Ending the fight, Niki webs the man to the brick wall.
Niki dusts off his hands before walking over to her
"Call the police and i'm going to take you home" He says causing yn to just nod her head, still shaken up from what just happened
after making a police report and watching the man get arrested, Niki grabs yn by the waist, swinging her back to her apartment.
Once they arrived Niki opens the window watch the girl climb in and he climbs in after her.
"He hurt you?" He asks making yn nod her head. She pulls up her shirt showing the now purple bruise on her side. He sighs walking to the kitchen to fill up an ice pack.
handing it to her niki starts to clean up her tiny scraps
"I thought I told you to be careful" Niki says making yn roll her eyes
"I was as careful as I could be" Yn says
"If you were I wouldnt be clean scraps on your body" Niki says not making eye contact which upset the girl
she rolls her eyes pushing his hand away from her bleeding knee, getting up to go to the bathroom. She grabs her scraf off the sink tying it around her braids. She sighs in annoyance when she realized her bonnet was not on the bathroom counter. she turns around to see Niki with her bonnet in his hand
She says nothing as she turns around and allows the blond to put her braids into the bonnet.
"I'm sorry, I didnt mean to be harsh its just...anything could have happened" Niki says looking down at the tile floor not wanting to think of the possibilities that could have happened tonight
"I tried to be careful I did, It;s not my fault I was attacked" Yn mumbles
"No, Its not. I just dont want anything to happen to you" Niki mumbles pulling her into a hug
"I'll be extra careful from now on" Yn says patting his head
"Please"
"I will...now go make us some ramen" Yn says
"Really?" Niki asks
"Please? I dropped my bag of sweets" Yn asks pouting
"Fine" Niki says smiling as he goes to the kitchen
"Thank you! Love you" Yn says smiling
"Yeah love you too" Niki says smiling and glad that his girlfriend was safe

"And just how did you manage to do... All of this?" "HOW is not the important question here." >w>
THIS ONE WAS SO FUN TO ROLL WITH SORRY IT'S LONG SOUP
Sun Centric // Wordcount: 1,800
You aren’t paid enough for the kinds of shit you walk in on. Just the other day you were tasked with cleaning up the aftermath of Monty’s latest temper tantrum, a chore that even an experienced custodian would find daunting. Every day you're taking care of other people’s problems and today it appeared Sun wanted in on the action, because when you walked into the Daycare for your usual shift it was to the sight of him having made a complete mess of things.
It looked - without exaggeration - like a tornado had torn through the room. Papers strewn about, plastic balls of every color scattered haphazardly across the entire floor, and a thick length of wire circling the jungle gyms, tangled between bars and around slides. At the center of it all was Sun. He, too, was wrapped in the wire like a spider caught in its own web; limbs twisted every-which-way, he dangles only a yard or so from the floor in an awkward, slow turn.
He squirms in the binds so strenuously that you can see the knots ever-tightening, even from this distance. The force of his writhing adds momentum to his spin, round and round and round he goes, and this time, when facing the exit doors, he sees you.
It looks like he wants to say something, but you’re faster. “Just how did you manage to do...” you gesture towards the daycare and him, head to toe, “all of this?“
Again, he wiggles, shoulders nudging against the tether like it’ll do anything now when it hadn’t the last one hundred times. His neck cranes to look away. For a moment it looks like he’s not even going to answer you - a rare instance for Sun, who did most of the talking between the two of you - with his attention all gone towards getting out of the binds and his eyes deep-set on the floor, he seemed a few steps past miserable already.
It’s only when you come closer and really see the extent of the damage that he admits defeat, sagging heavily into the twists of wire. “Is the ‘how’ really important?” He still won’t look you in the eyes, “Get me down from here. Please. I–I need to come down already,” then, voice lowering to a grumble, “this is terribly humiliating.”
You don’t answer him immediately.  You could.  You should. But there was something particularly fun about making him wait now, of all times. It was always you getting scolded for recklessness in the Daycare, it was you that he helped out of sticky situations, checking up on you afterwards with a patient but nevertheless berating tone. As far as you were concerned, this situation was a long time coming.
So you make him wait. You make him stew in it until the desperation forces him to look up and find your eyes, “Hey– Come on– Are you going to make me beg for it?”
“I think that’s your only option,” you sigh, putting on your most serious face.
His own face scrunches, faceplate heating with a noise like he’s going to blow steam from his head, “I will do no such thing! I–I’ve been here for hours already, mind you! And–And–” he stops huffing and puffing long enough to get another good look at you, his attitude already deflating, “Oh…you…were joking,” he forces a wobbly smile to meet his cheeks, “ha ha, very funny, let’s kick the poor, helpless attendant while he’s already down. You’re hilarious!” He wiggles for another few seconds, gives up, sags again. “I’m going to remember this.”
“Yea,” you try your best not to laugh, “so will I.”
He shoots you the most butt-hurt look he can manage. You do feel bad for the guy, and you’ve already taunted him a good deal. Best not to push it.
“Alright, alright,” you finally relent, “hold still while I try to figure out how to get you out of there.”
His relief comes in the form of compliance; he droops, sunrays and all, allowing the wire to hold the entirety of his weight, and from there he goes completely still. Again, that’s a rare feat for him, but you aren’t complaining. Getting him untangled from this mess would prove twice as difficult if he were squirming around the whole time.
You start with the easiest sections, some eight feet of wire coiled tight around his left arm and hip, another section of it holding taut between two rays that surround the neck, forcing his head at an uncomfortable angle. You unwrap the line up to his throat, give it a gentle tug - he makes a gutteral noise - you let go.
“Sun?”
“It’s fine!” He’s quick to reassure, “just a reflex. There’s no breath to get caught there, remember? Why don’t you try again.”
You’re hesitant, standing still for a moment to take in the way his chest expands and collapses. The way his neck dips beneath the rigid wire, like he’s fighting for air. All part of his programming, you remind yourself. Mechanics that helped him appear human – too human, some days. “You would tell me – right?” your hand reaches for the wire, pausing just before your fingertips make contact,“–if you were in pain?”
He looks at you with some hesitation, smile pulled as taut as the wires. Strained. You can’t read his expression otherwise. “Of course,” he answers with a low wheeze, “cross my heart.”
“You can’t tell me you don’t breathe and then say something like that.” You’re reaching for him anyways, fingers carefully wrapping around the wire and tugging - he repeats the noise (despite clearly attempting to keep it down) and you force yourself to ignore it this time, focusing instead on retrieving as much of the wire as you can from this position. It circles his neck twice, then dips beneath his chest. One good, solid tug, and his tangled form drops half-a-foot lower.
He begins to spin in place again at a snail’s pace. You stare at the many, many feet of wire remaining.
“You’re doing great, just a little more to go!” He says mid-spin, “Keep at it!” But his enthusiasm falls flat when faced with just how much work is ahead of you.
“What if I just cut you down?”
“No good, sunshine,” he answers, “while it’s a bright idea, management wouldn’t fork up the cost of a new wire last time this happened. You’ll have to help me out the hard way.”
“Last time?“ You do reach for the wire again - this time your hand grabs for the section that keeps his entire body dangling there, using it as an anchor to pull him closer, ”I think you ought to be given less feet to work with if this kind of thing happens so often,“ you hum and turn him so you’re no longer talking to his ass, his body strangely light when its weight is upkept by something other than your own strength (or lack thereof), ”don’t you think?“
He’s pouting when he faces you again, “I don’t think that’s fair at all. I haven’t gotten myself wrapped up so badly in years, I’ll have you know - and I have good reason to be stuck here this time, too. I wasn’t just fooling around willy nilly!”
“Alright, then,” you pull the wire in close. Close enough to breathe against his faceplate. Close enough to interrogate him properly. “tell me.”
“Wh–what–”
“Tell me the ‘how’, Sunny. Give me every juicy detail on why you ended up like this.”
“Well– well I–”
“Yeah?”
“I–”
“I’m waiting,” you raise an eyebrow.
“Ohh - will you let me finish!” He flails some in the binds again. You relent and release the wire, and he swings back like a giant pendulum, “I was chasing a bug, alright? A no-good squirmy little six legged pest found its way into my Daycare and I just couldn’t—” he squirms again, harder this time, “–seem to–” harder, the wire trembles, “catch it!”
“Sun–!”
Something comes loose. The wire unravels from beneath his armpit and sets off a domino effect of unsnarling - first his lower chest, then his back, his hips, his arms, his shoulders - he spins like a horizontal top until he’s lost half of the wire in one go.
When he lands on you it’s with a solid, metalic thunk, and it splinters your shoulderblade in three places.
It takes everything in you not to howl beneath him. Heat radiates down the length of your arm in a flash of white, then settles into a dead feeling - gone numb. You bite your lip hard to keep quiet, but he still notices. Of course he does.
Too bad he’s just as useless as you right now.
“Oh dear, oh dear, oh no, no, no–” he jams an arm free from the remaining knots and uses it to prop himself up so his entire weight isn’t resting on your body. His face sits a meer inch from yours for a second time, but this time there’s nothing to smile about, “you’re hurt,” he whines, “good grief, look what I’ve done. You’re really hurt.”
“No shit, sherlock,” you groan from beneath him.
“Langu–”
You shoot him a glare. His mouth snaps shut.
“It’s my fault for baiting you,” a deep sigh escapes you, a half pained, half guilty expression crossing your face, “I don’t think anything’s broken. Let me up and I’ll get the rest of the wire untangled.”
He frowns, shaking his head, “You will do no such thing! You’re injured - because of me, no less - you aren’t capable of doing much with just one good arm–”
“I could say the same about you,” you interrupt, gesturing with your chin towards the arm still bent backwards in the knotting, “You won’t be any help at all like that, will you?”
His face scrunches like a child’s. It takes him a minute to mull things over, but eventually he relents, realizing that you’re right. Both of you are out an arm and at a stalemate.
Neither of you seems to know where to go from here.
“I could… uh,” Sun rolls a bit, forcing himself onto his backside but only retangling himself more in the process.
You move to sit up now that you can and grimace, holding at the crushed ligament at your shoulder, “maybe I can untie some knots with just this hand?” You offer - and reach out, only to pull it against your chest again the second another wave of pain beats against your chest.
You stare at him. He stares at you.
“…time to call Freddy?” You ask.
“Yeah, alright,” Sun laughs and puts his face in his good hand, “let’s call Freddy.” He peeks at you from between his fingers.
“…then you’re helping me find that bug.”

A Puppet on Strings || Alistair & Zofia
Location: Streets of Oldtown Timing: December 8th, evening Parties: Alistair (@deathsplaything) & Zofia (@zofiawithaz) Summary: Zofia goes out to kill someone she swears is her captor, but Alistair stops her before she goes too far.
She had them pinned against the wall. To the odd passersby it would probably look like a lovers embrace. Except for the fact that Zofia’s teeth were firmly planted in the man’s neck, and his gurgled, whispered pleas.
It looked just like him.
Just like him.
She’d been minding her own business, getting herself a damn drink and then there he was. Next to her at the bar, talkingtalkingtalking, offering to buy her a drink with that same smile- that same smug grin that had leered down at her as he dug and carved for answers she didn’t have and wouldn’t give. Talking, taunting, sitting next to her.
She wished he’d been the one she killed when she escaped. But this was her chance. This was it- he was so foolish, following her outside, letting her get close, going into an alley with her. She didn’t care if it hurt, if the blood burned- she’d bite him anyway just because she could. She’d sunk her teeth in deep, surprised to find his blood didn’t burn. So she drank. Drank and tried to fill the Sofie sized void in her chest. The one that still thought of Cassius, of her clan of everything that came before.
Then her jaw opened. And she was pulled away.
She snarled, confused as to just the fuck was happening. Zofia went to launch herself back at him, but she felt stuck. Like a spider’s delicate webs had stuck to her limbs and were controlling her.
Like a puppet.
She felt like she was restrained again. Like she was back there. Had this all been a cruel dream? A joke? Had she never escaped to begin with? Fuck that, fuck all of that- she let out a scream, frantic to be free of the trap.
____________
He had been walking home from making the bank deposit, something he didn’t do often, but Alistair had insisted after Melody had to tend to her daughter at home who wasn’t feeling well. So with Brutus in hand, he was simply walking home. The sun had already gone down and the bank was just about to close as he arrived. He had almost gotten home when he heard it. With his hearing better because of his loss of sight, he heard whimpering, and not the kind one wanted to hear. Not the good kind.
Using Brutus to see, he almost groaned aloud when he saw her. It was Zofia. Of course it was Zofia. He had to think quickly if he wanted to stop her from killing the man. He hesitated, and for a moment he wondered if he should stop her. No, he had to act. Closing his eyes, he channeled into the magic around him, feeling the surge hit him as soon as he tapped into it. Alistair put a hand out in front of him, and threads of a pale green smoke began to encompass Zofia, attaching to her body like threads. This magic wouldn’t last long, but enough to yank her away from the man. He pulled his hand back, and it yanked her away. The as soon as it had been cast, the magic disappeared. Alistair opened his eyes. He felt his own energy dissipate.
“You can’t just kill people because you feel like it.” He called out to her, arms crossed over his chest. “And you’re going to get yourself into more trouble if you keep doing that.” He wagged a finger at her, advancing closer like a viper about to strike. The man had long since crumpled to the ground. Alive, but barely. “Dammit, Zofia. I took a chance on you and this is what you do with your time?”
__________
Him.
She knew him. But he wasn’t from before, he was from after. Why was he here? Maybe it wasn’t a dream- she had gotten out, she was free. Emotions spiraled as she kept chanting the four letter word to herself in her mind: free.
He was… scolding her? Why was he scolding her, she wasn’t a child. She was easily six times older than he was and he was wagging his finger at her like she was a naughty child with her hand in the cookie jar. “You knew what I was when you took a chance. And I can kill people if I feel like it when they-“
A groan sounded from the other end of the alley, and Zofia’s focus shifted back to the man on the ground. It was almost done, she could finish this. The vampire shifted, ready to strike again.
But then she saw the man’s blood streaked face. She really saw it.
And it wasn’t her captor.
It was someone else entirely. Someone who had the same eyes, perhaps, the same smile…but other than those small details, there was no real resemblance. Her mind had been prepared to condemn him to death for a sin he hadn’t committed. Her eyes widened, and she stared at what she’d done. She pressed bloodstained fingertips to her mouth in horror.
“Fix it.” She whispered, frantic eyes darting to the blind man and his dog. “I have to fix it. I’ll fix it- you should go. You should go, it’s not safe. Bad things are out this time of night.” She clearly wasn’t having a sane enough day to be around people, and she didn’t want to hurt someone who’d done her the kindness of offering her shelter.
________
As Alistair held Brutus’s harness a little tighter, he waited. Thankfully, Brutus wouldn’t let harm befall him, but he wasn’t sure if the dog would have time to register it. “Take him to get help and then meet me at the flat. We have things to discuss.” His tone indicated that this wasn’t up for debate. This was a demand. “Don’t make me have to do that again.” He then spoke in a quieter, more desperate tone. It was strange that he was so hard-pressed about controlling the undead and raising the dead when he easily sacrificed people to save someone else. But even still, it was his line in the sand he didn’t like to cross.
“I can’t fix this mistake. The best you can do is get him to a hospital and leave him there.” He turned around to leave, shaking his head. “Come on, Brutus.” He murmured to his dog, who began to guide him back toward home. Whether she would join him there remained to be seen. As he walked home, he couldn’t help but feel even more idiotic than before. A vampire was going through something, and he let her into his home. Alistair always knew his inability to leave people to struggle would do him in, but not this quickly. She needed real help, and he couldn’t give it. He didn’t know anyone that would be equipped to help her. Then again, he was sure the therapists in Wicked’s Rest had seen some serious shit.
He needed answers from her that she hadn’t been willing to give in the past. But now, now that Alistair knew she was killing people? He had to do something. He just hoped it didn’t have to be in the form of her as a sacrifice. “Don’t be a fool,” he muttered to himself as he walked. No, he couldn’t do nothing. Not anymore.
Time passed Zofia in a blur. Her mind registered the words he said, at least partially. Dropping a man at the hospital unexplained wasn’t usually an easy task, but when his neck looked as though a hungry animal had gone in for a taste it made things more difficult. She’d made quick work of it, quick as she could. Moving quickly enough so that no one would pay too much notice to ‘the Samaritan dropping off the man’. The blood soaked Samaritan who’d been responsible for the whole affair.
She left the hospital and made her way through the darkened alleys of town, trying to get her head on straight. It had looked just like him. Sounded like him. It was him, it had to have been- and yet it wasn’t. She should have known the instant his blood touched her tongue and she’d gone unscathed. And yet she’d just gorged herself. Zofia pressed herself flat against a cold concrete wall, willing her thoughts to still. And what if he had deserved it. If he had been a terrible person. She ought to have finished the job- it was a waste that she hadn’t finished eating, what was she doing ?!
She was of two minds. One that felt remorse, and one that regretted the interruption. The interruption… How had she stopped, she wondered? Alistair. His words in the alley suddenly clicked into place. Turning on her hell, she changed directions, heading to his flat.
She stood outside the door for ages, trying to decide if she’d knock. Cursing under her breath, she rapped her knuckles against the door and waited.
_______________________________________
After waiting for what felt like years, Alistair finally heard a soft knock at the door. Yep, that was definitely her. He got off the couch and walked across the flat to open the front door wide enough to let her in. “Start talking.” He insisted as he shut the door behind the footsteps of those who had walked into the flat. His tone wasn’t angry, though it was tense. He was withholding judgment until she told her story. He did not explain his power or that he controlled her.
In the center of the living room, the rug had been pulled away to reveal a spell circle. It was nothing special, just a large sigil drawn in white paint on the hardwood floor. “I won’t use it if you don’t give me a reason to.” He explained, knowing it would be the first thing Zofia would notice. “I’m sure you have questions for me as well.” He spoke with a huff as he sat on the sofa, Brutus lying down at his feet. He said nothing, only waiting for her to start talking.
—————————————
Zofia barely walked into the flat. She crossed the threshold, but lingered near the door. She wasn’t about to allow herself to be trapped, not again. And the tension in the air made her feel like the cage was swinging overhead, just waiting for her to step on the trigger.
Then she saw the sigil. She didn’t know what it meant, or what exactly it would do, but she figured she probably didn’t want to find out. Her eyes tracked him as he made his way to the sofa, sitting with Brutus at his feet. He was probably watching from the dogs perspective, making certain she wasn’t about to strike.
She stood in silence, trying to find the words to explain herself. She wasn’t certain where to begin. Zofia swallowed, eyeing the door, debating whether it would be better for her to just flee. “I thought he was someone else. He was someone else- the same face. It was him, and then it wasn’t.” She knew she wasn’t making sense, but rational thought had long since parted ways with her.
“He was sitting there pretending he hadn’t stood there with that smug grin for months- because he didn’t- but I thought it was him. I thought he was there, taunting me. I should have known, the blood wasn’t right. It wasn’t right, it wasn’t him.” She leaned back against the wall, the pressure of it there doing little to soothe the mounting hysteria. Zofia kept wiping her hand against her coat, willing it to be cleansed of the blood that stained it. “I just…. I was like a puppet… How?”
______________
Before he could stop it, a frustrated noise escaped Alistair’s lips. “That’s not an answer.” He growled. “Who is this man you thought he was? What did they do to you?” He knew he was pressing into something that shouldn’t be pressed, but he was frustrated. “I can’t do shit if you give me nothing to work with!” He threw his hands up, then slapped his thighs as he brought his hands back down. He let out a long, frustrated sigh. “Something happened to you. You went missing long enough for your clothes to be in tatters. Start there, what happened?”
Alistair felt like he was trying to grab hold of air the way he was getting fistfuls of nothing from her non-answers. “Who is him?” He asked again, this time in a much calmer voice. “Sit on the couch with me. Take a deep breath.” He patted the empty seat beside him. He wasn’t going to get anywhere by getting angry with her. If anything, that would drive her right out of the flat and back into the night. He wasn’t about to have her hurt another person.
When she began to get sidetracked by asking him about how she had been controlled, he felt his frustration rising again. “I’ll explain that later. After you tell me what caused you to attack that man.” Alistair raised a brow, silent and expectant. Brutus, meanwhile, seemed to be perfectly content at his owner’s feet, eyes closed as he snored softly. He couldn’t help but envy his dog, sleeping soundly through what was easily the most frustrating thing he had dealt with all month, and he dealt with a lot.
The more her panic grew, the greater Alistair’s frustration seemed to get. She knew she wasn’t helping him to understand, not with the fragments that her mind kept circling like a starved vulture. Zofia sunk her teeth into her lip, trying to distract herself from her racing thoughts with anything.  And then his tone shifted. Calm. Coaxing. She eyed his hand as he patted the empty spot beside him.
Zofia slowly inched closer, until she was perched on the far edge of the sofa, keeping a healthy space between them. She figured from where she was, she’d only need a few steps to make it to the door. Or, if it went horribly wrong, she could try to go out the window. She sat still, breathing to center herself rather than out of necessity.
“I don’t know who they are. I don’t have a name.” She sighed, rubbing at her face. The dog was asleep, so she didn’t need to worry about him seeing her streaked with a strangers blood and deciding she looked like a monster and that he should find a stake.
“You know about vampires.” Her voice was hollow. As though she could give nothing but the facts of the matter. “So I assume you know about clans. I was part of one in France. Someone has been hunting us for years. I didn’t realize…” she paused, shaking her head. “I was a foolish young thing. You’re impervious to illness, to age… you cheat death and see empires rise and fall. You sit in the lap of luxury and enjoy, never wanting, never hungry, no need to hunt, to fight to survive. And you don’t see the curtain falling.”
“They killed my sire and her husband about sixty or so years ago.” She closed her eyes. “They were like parents to me. I didn’t realize we had been in any danger until they didn’t come back. Henri- one of the other members of our little family, he and I ran for another ten years. We didn’t know if there was anyone left other than us, and if there were they’d probably gone into hiding. And then Henri vanished… I assumed they got him. I haven’t seen him in half a century.”
“I was here in town. I had a life here, I was safe here. I had a new family here I had love.” Her voice wobbled. She smothered the sliver of Sofie that cried out as her story was told. Zofia continued, her voice carefully neutral. “In the summer, they found me. I suppose there are still others they’re chasing, others more dangerous than little Sofie DuPont.” She spat the name out. Like it had betrayed her. Like the kindness and trusting nature of that woman had been her downfall. “So they took me. And I sat alone underground, in the dark for months. They tried to get answers and I didn’t have any. They thought I was holding out. So they kept trying… new methods. Of getting me to talk. One day they made a mistake, and I got out. I took their numbers down by one when I left. I thought it only fair.”
__________
In truth, Alistair didn’t know all that much about vampires. Just the basics: they were real, drank blood, and didn’t like the sun very much. He didn’t bother to explain this to Zofia but attempted to keep up all the same. This clan was a family, then. A family that had been hunted to extinction. He frowned as he took in the new information, head dipping as he processed it all. He didn’t interrupt her as she told her story. It tugged at his heartstrings and left him wanting to take her hand in reassurance. But who’s reassurance? He lifted his hand and slowly drifted it toward the direction of her voice and found it good enough when it landed on her shoulder.
Sofie Du Pont was a new name that she used in malice. It differed from the name she had introduced herself with, Zofia Kowalska. “So this old you, this Sofie Du Pont.” He began, keeping his hand stead on her shoulder. “She was hunted along with the rest of her clan.” He began to repeat the facts back at her to ensure he was getting it all right. “And she was captured and tortured for information. Information she didn’t have.” His frown deepened, and he shifted his weight as he let his hand drop to hers. “Sofie Du Pont died then, didn’t she? That old life she had, it was lost with her innocence.”
He knew what it was like to be hated for what he was. He hadn’t been hunted for sport, but he could understand it to a fraction. “Zofia Kowalska, your real name, then.” He deduced as he crossed one leg over the other. He focused on the sound of Brutus’s breathing momentarily before continuing. “So this person you attacked, you kept saying he was this guy he wasn’t. Your tormentor?” His voice was quiet, as if he feared saying the wrong thing. “I can’t say for certain if these hunters are still around. I’m sure you did a number on them.” He frowned, knowing that housing her could spell trouble for him in the long term. But he’d never turned someone away before. He always helped. “I’ll keep you as safe as I can here. Look into someone to do some basic protection magic around here.”
Alistair sighed, realizing it was his turn to explain things. “I told you before that I wield magic.” He began, shifting his body in the direction of Zofia’s voice. “I’m a necromancer.” There, he had said it. No going back now. “Death magic, if you will. And since you are dead, I can control you if I need to. Because I saw you killing someone, I used it to get you off of him. It's not a big ritual. That comes with sigils.” He gestured vaguely at the ground, referring to the spell circle he had drawn out on the floor. The paint was raised, undoubtedly so that he could feel where everything was. “What I did back in the ally was a very temporary spell. The more complexities I put into it, the more effective it can become.” He removed his glasses, revealing the burn scars covering the top half of his face. “The glasses I wear are enchanted. They hide the sacrifice I gave to heal someone.” He didn’t mention that it hadn’t worked. “The way I use necromancy is to heal people. But like all magic, it comes with a big price tag.” He put his hands out before him, tipping them like a scale. “To heal someone,” he raised one hand higher than the other, “another must take on their wounds.” He lofted the other hand high. “Balance must be maintained. Necromancy is all about balance. To bring someone back from death, another must die.” He fell silent, waiting for her to say something. “Now we know each other better.”
————————————————————-
Her eyes opened as the weight of a hand settled on her shoulder. She flinched in surprise, but she didn’t pull away. It was like having a tether for a boat in a storm so it didn’t drift off and get dragged out to sea. “They were French, I lived in France for the most part… I was a new thing. I thought a new name fit.” Her eyes settled shut when his hand found hers, recounting the end of her story. Zofia let out a ragged breath, leaning back into the cushion of the couch, wishing it would magically open up and swallow her whole. “She did. She’s still in here I think… like a ghost in a haunted house. She drifts through sometimes. But I can’t be her anymore.”
“My birth name, yes.” She confirmed. They sat in silence a beat before he continued. As he spoke, Zofia’s heart ached in her chest. The gentleness is what broke her. She sniffled, pulling herself away from comfort she did not deserve. “It wasn’t him.” Guilt dripped from her words. “I thought it was him, but it wasn’t… it was so real though- I.” She crossed her arms tightly across her chest. “He looked like who I assumed was the leader of the operation.” Her voice was void of expression as she fought to keep herself stead, hastily swiping at tears before they could fall. “I only got out because they’d only left one behind to guard. They didn’t think I was a threat. If it had been more than one. I’d likely be making my eternal resting place on the inside of some bastard's vacuum cleaner.”
Her eyes darted over at his offer and she shook her head. “I’m more trouble than I’m worth. I may too by on occasion, but I will not stay long enough to bring trouble to your door. You don’t want to deal with these people.”
Zofia watched carefully as he explained his side of the story. Her heart ached a little as he half explained what had happened to his eyes. She hoped that whatever he’d saved for the cost of his sight, that the price had been worth it. “Could you have borrowed from me?” She asked, unsure of how it worked. “To fix him?  Or no, because I’m not alive, technically.”
____________________
Alistair thought for a moment. It was easy to separate the person he was before he lost Mikael from the person he was after he lost him. After all, it had been defined by more than just losing him. The loss of his sight had defined it, and as a result, a loss of the career he had left his family for. “I get it,” he spoke, voice almost a whisper with how quiet it was. He didn’t talk about this stuff. Not even Melody knew much about his time before Mikael. All of it was just too painful for him. What he’d lost, the treatment given to him by his parents, all of it. “She’ll always be there, even if you don’t want her to be. She’s who you are, even if you don’t want to see it. She’s still you, but she’s been molded by trauma.”
“No,” Alistair spoke as she recounted the man she had attacked. “He wasn’t. You have to learn not to trust your own mind for a little bit.” He frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. “I had a partner. We were together for eight years. Not the point. Point is, he got taken one night by a deranged psycho who wanted the family secrets. He got hurt, and I couldn’t save him. I kept seeing the man who hurt him all over the place, but it was never him. I was so hung up on finding him that I lost myself for a bit. Took a while to pick up the pieces.” He blinked, eyes glancing over in her general direction. “It’s okay to take a while to pick up the pieces, Zofia.” His voice was gentle. He didn’t know if she would be receptive to his words, but he had to try at least to appeal to the part of her that wasn’t driven mad by bloodlust.
“I know I don’t have to help you, and I know the dangers. But I took you in, I don’t intend on casting you out just because a spooky bad guy is after you.” Alistair waved a hand, the notion itself ridiculous to him. “If you’ll let me, I’m here to help. It’s kinda what I do.”
He frowned as she asked if he could have fixed him. “No, when they’re that hurt, it takes a one-to-one comparison. If he were human, I’d need to use a human sacrifice. If he were a fae, I’d need a fae. So on and so on.” He took a moment, adjusting his position in his seat. “In the shop, I have a back room. I heal people there. Some don’t know the extent of the damage they do to someone else to heal them. Others do and just don’t care. I take the bad people and use them as sacrifices for the more mundane healings. When it’s more complex, things get dicey. Sometimes, I get lucky, and I have the correct species. Sometimes, I don’t. Sometimes people die anyway when a spell doesn’t go right.” He pointed at his eyes when he referenced a spell not going right. He slid his sunglasses back onto his face after pointing to himself. “I’m not letting you leave just because you don’t think you’re worth saving. I think you’re worth saving, which must count for something.”
‘I understand’ always felt like one of those things people said to be kind, but they didn’t really understand. Not this time, though. Zofia didn’t know what had happened to him in his life to know what it was like to be haunted by the ghost of who he’d been before, but he described it well enough to know it wasn’t just an attempt to make her feel better. The more he talked, the more pieces of his puzzle began to fall into place. She couldn’t imagine losing a partner in that fashion. But she knew what it was like to lose people she cared for. Knew that one day or eight years or half a century later, while it might become less sharp with time, that pain never really went away. Not fully. And there were still days where it hurt as badly as the day it had torn her heart apart.
Slowly she began to unwind from herself, to come out of the corner of the sofa she’d tucked herself into. She didn’t know if this was magic too. He could control her if he wanted to, and she supposed that ought to make her angry. Angry enough to lash out at him. But then the image of an innocent man’s bloodied face appearing from the haze she had been in crept across her mind. Zofia could deal with being controlled a little, she supposed. If only to protect her from herself.
She blinked, looking at him in surprise. “You just. Have a stock of bad people on hand? For healing purposes? What determines a bad person?” A soft, crazed giggle erupted. “If you didn’t know my story would I be bad? I’m certainly not good.” Her mind trailed to the handful of lookalikes she’d drained out of hunger and some half crazed attempt to get a message across. That was just her need for blood tangling with the pain that Cassius had seemed to move on without looking for a way to help her. And she still didn’t feel guilty about it. She didn’t feel much of anything about it, and she knew she ought to.
Worth saving. Those words rattled something deep inside her. “Why?” She asked, her voice unsteady and thick. “What makes me worth saving?”
_________
Pulling a face, Alistair shook his head at her words. “I wouldn’t call it a stockpile. One at a time, really.” It was strange to talk about the truth of what he did. If the wrong person found out, surely he’d be run out of town or worse. He then thought for a long moment, frowning. “The people I deal with don’t have redeeming qualities.” He spoke bluntly as he got more comfortable in his seat. He didn’t seem to know how to sit properly in a seat without splaying his legs out and leaning back with an arm against the back of the couch. “They’re werewolves that constantly kill, vampires that have lost themselves in their bloodlust.” He raised a brow, expression pointed. “You haven’t lost yourself to it. You’re just…” he waved his hands in the air as he tried to devise a way to put it. “Just a touch traumatized.” He gave a wry smile, knowing it wasn’t an elegant way of putting it. But he was never one for elegance, anyway.
“What makes you worth saving?” He questioned back at her. He thought for a moment, wondering if there was a way not to say what he felt deep in his gut. “What makes you worth saving isn’t about you.” He confessed, knowing he was helping her for purely selfish reasons. “I helped you because no one was there when I needed help.” There, he had put it out into the open. She could either accept that or she couldn’t. Either way, he had spoken his truth. “Despite everything against her, I recognize someone who survived and crawled her way back out from six feet under.” His words were gentle as if he were afraid of spooking her. “So yes, you’re someone worth saving. You just may not see it. May not want to see it. And that’s okay. It’s something to work towards as you try to get yourself back on your feet.”
She wondered if he’d still say the same thing if he knew about the handful of Cassius look-alikes she’d left strewn about town. Zofia doubted he’d be able to find a way to call that redeemable. The first few days of freedom had been difficult. She’d been on edge. She still heard people that weren’t there, still felt eyes on her no matter where she went. Some primal part of herself told her to drink, and some scorned, betrayed part of herself told her to make a point. She shifted, uncomfortable as her train of thought led her to question what exactly about her was redeemable. She took the thought and stuffed it far away in a dark corner of her mind to address it some other time.
And yet there he was, continuing to talk and taking that box that she’d hastily tucked away in the shadows of her mind and shining a spotlight on it. She let out a long, heavy sigh as she studied him. He’d clearly been through the darkness before. He seemed to have come out the other side in tact. The ghost that haunted her thoughts reached toward that, hoping beyond hope that it wasn’t too late to turn back from the ledge she’d found herself at the top of. “If I found them,” She started slowly. “And I was certain I was right. Would you still stop me from finishing it?” From putting the damn nightmare to an end. Maybe then she could rest easier. Maybe then she could rebuild with the confidence that she wouldn’t have to burn the rest of the world down to protect what was hers.
____________________________________________________________________________
The necromancer fell silent for a long moment, expression unchanging as he digested the information that Zofia had given him. “I know you’re a vampire. I know you need blood to live.” He began, mulling the idea like a sommelier tasting a good wine. “But you don’t need to kill ‘em to do it, do you?” Alistair was trying to prove a point. “You can choose to fight what you’ve become or can’t. In which case, I feel a need to step in.” He decided honesty would be the best choice of action in this situation. He didn’t know what she could do, and maybe he was a complete idiot for taking the woman under his wing. He was projecting his shit onto someone who couldn’t even distinguish real life from her demons. “Fuck.” He muttered to himself as he made the revelation.
“You tell me everything else you’ve done. Going to have more than just those hunters showin’ up on the bloody door.” Alistair grumbled to himself as he stood up to start pacing around. He was a fool for pitying someone he should’ve walked away from. She’d have more than just the slayers that wronged her in the first place if she didn’t begin to clean up her act. “Make an effort to stop yourself from killing innocent people like you did tonight. And you’ll tell me who else you’ve been killing while at it. Otherwise, you get the fuck out of my flat, and you never come back. Do you understand me?” He raised a finger toward where he thought she may have been, but it was a bit off the mark, pointing to the right of her instead of directly at her.
He took a second to realize what he had just said and relaxed. “Sorry, I’m just. I’ve had a long day.” Of course, Alistair had a long day. Today was the anniversary of Mikael’s death. He didn’t talk about it. He never talked about it. Not even to Melody. “It’s a bad day for me. Memories of things best left to forget, you understand.” He fell back onto the couch, having half a mind to march to his room and hide for the rest of the night. “But I need you to understand that killing people won’t fix your problems. Killing the right people might, but you’re still going to have the same trauma. You might think it’ll fix you, but it won’t.” He swallowed, eyes a million miles away. “Trust me.”
—————————————————————
Zofia thought this must be how cornered animals felt. As he spoke, his ire seemed to grow. Moving as quiet as she could, she got back up off the couch and took several steps back to position herself in front of a window. He demanded the truth. Honesty. And yet he’d already said that the kind of beasts he kept caged away were ones that had lost themselves to bloodlust. If she told him the truth, there was a high chance she wound up puppeted into walking down to his shop and sitting herself down in his back room, waiting for some more deserving soul to have her life force siphoned away to heal their own. She’d go right back to being trapped.
But he asked her to trust him.
She hadn’t been able to trust anyone in so long. Not even herself. Some part of her still wanted to believe that maybe she could trust something. Even if it was a total stranger who’s dog seemed to like her for some inexplicable reason.
“I couldn’t drink from hunters if I wanted to,” she muttered, eyes flicking around the space as she weighed her options. Out the window? Tell the truth? Risk the magic sigil on the floor? “Their blood is like acid to us.” Zofia didn’t know why she was explaining all this. Maybe she was just stalling for time. She understood having bad days, bad months, bad years- bad moments full of bad memories she’d love to leave behind in the dirt. But would rehashing them make any of this better? Would telling him what she’d done make either of their bad memories quiet down for a moment? Her eyes settled on Brutus, faithfully sat next to Alistair. Was she really about to tell him what she’d done because she trusted the dog? The vampire sighed. Maybe she had lost her mind. She pressed her back to the glass of the window, prepared to shove herself out it at the first sign of danger.
“Three dead.” She said quietly. “If you think my state of mind is poor now, it was worse a few weeks ago. I’d been left for dead and I thought someone would have come looking for me but he-“ she swallowed, realizing there were so many missing puzzle pieces for him. “I had someone, before. They moved on in the months I was gone. They said they looked, said they’d tried, but they replaced me.” A chill crept into her voice, her eyes downcast. “I came back, and he’d moved on. And I…” she shook her head, not wanting to elaborate. “They looked like him. They weren’t. They never could be. No more dead after the hunter when I escaped and those three.” She held her breath, waiting to see if she’d have to run.
_______
There was a long stretch of silence after Zofia told him the truth. He looked over to the window, able to see her outline because of the street lights that shone through, casting her silhouette. He could see light and shadow–Not well, but he could. He took a deep breath. In through the nose, out through the mouth. It was a lot of information to swallow. “This man that you…” he trailed off, that wasn’t a good way to put it. Start over. “This man, is he in trouble? Do you think you’re capable of killing him?” Alistair needed to know the answer. He needed to know if he was boarding a serial killer or not.
“Three,” he whispered, rubbing a hand over his face and shaking his head. Three was a lot. Hell, one was a lot, but he wasn’t about to admit that when he had a sizable portfolio of injured or dead people, all in the name of fixing someone else. “Three’s a lot, Zofia,” Alistair murmured, still rubbing a hand over his face as he took in the details. He lifted his head skyward, staring up at the ceiling for a long time. He said nothing, only stood there, lost in thought.
“I’m not innocent from killin’ people neither, but that doesn’t… that was in malice, not survival.” Alsitair's shoulders slumped, and his head turned back toward her as he continued to digest. “I’m not gonna make you one of my victims.” He spoke, deciding he needed to get that out of the way before he continued. “I’m not going to control you again unless you try to kill me or someone else important to me. Or another innocent.” He tilted his head side to side as if weighing his options. “Don’t. Make me regret helping you.” He finally said, voice serious. “Get help. Serious help. Talk to a therapist about what happened to you. Don’t tell them the vampire and murder details, but fuckin’ talk to someone. Because the more you bottle this shit up, the worse it will get for you.” His eyes were wide as he stared into space. “I…” he trailed off again, pursing his lips as he struggled to get out the words. “I’ll help you. But you have to help yourself, too.”“No.” The answer came out surprisingly easy. Even if she wanted to hurt Cassius, he had an Elder Vampire who’d destroy her before she could so much as touch a hair in his head. But she didn’t. She’d been scratching at her own hand like a tragic character from a Shakespeare play, wishing she could find a way to turn back the clock and take it back, or find some way to absolve herself of that sin. “No.”
She watched him as he processed the information. Tried to determine if his breathing had changed, if he’d shifted, if his fingers had moved in any meaningful way. She waited. And waited. And then he said the words she needed to hear.
Zofia’s tightly coiled nerves loosened a touch, slouching against the window. “I won’t hurt you.” She didn’t have the energy to sound offended or hurt at the implication that she’d aim for him. If they hadn’t met the way they had, it would have been possible that she’d set her sights on him for a midnight snack. But since she’d been back, he was one of the few glimmers of light she’d found. Him and that dog who sat and watched them both. They’d been kind. She needed that, after so long in the dark. She didn’t want to risk the little twinkle of light going away.
“Okay.” It came out just above a whisper. She’d agree. If only to keep the speck of light.
“Right,” Alistair spoke, un-crossing his arms over his chest and shuffling his weight from foot to foot. He could sense her mounting distress and unease. This man she spoke of wasn’t in danger so he could rest easy. “Come here,” he said, voice soft. He held his arms out, knowing that the last thing Zofia needed right now was to be pushed away further. He wouldn’t hurt her, and he wanted to show her that.
She’d agreed to go and see someone, someone that wasn’t him. He couldn’t help her like that. He wasn’t put together. He couldn’t even get to see a counselor, but he wasn’t about to tell her that. She’d see him as a hypocrite and not do what he told her to. His arms remained outstretched, and for a moment, he thought about dropping them. But if his hunch was correct, he expected her to reciprocate the hug he offered her.
Zofia stared at him. He was standing there, arms outstretched. His voice was gentle. Her eyes strayed to the sigil on the floor. She took a hesitant step toward him. He didn’t move to activate it. She took another step toward him. He made no move to control her.
Trust me. The words rattled around in her chest before lodging itself somewhere behind her collarbone. She kept taking quiet steps toward him until she was a foot away. She didn’t move, didn’t breathe- waiting one second longer to see if he’d change his mind, to see if the little light would snuff itself out.
 He stayed, arms outstretched.
Zofia stepped into the embrace, still poised to run at the first sign of a change of heart. It still didn’t come. She wrapped her arms around him, trying to settle into the feeling of letting herself be comforted again. The two words that had settled behind her collarbone felt warm. Like the truth. Like the right choice, for now at least. So she stayed, and trusted him.
——-
Alistair began to channel magic into his grasp as soon as she embraced him. The tendrils, like smoke, began to converge towards Zofia. He could do it. All he had to do was cast. He swallowed, pushing Zofia away with a frown. “Step out of the circle,” he warned her in a broken voice. “And you should…” he frowned, quickly stepping out of the spell circle. ”You should probably find somewhere to live that isn’t with a necromancer that could control you.”
His eyes flickered back and forth as he tried to get his head on straight. He didn’t want to control her, and every nerve ending in his body was screaming to cast that spell. “You have forty-eight hours to collect your things and find somewhere else to live.” Alistair gritted his teeth as he spoke, running a hand over his mouth. “I’m sorry, but it’s… it’s for the best.” He paced back and forth through the apartment, realizing he could be making a big mistake by not holding her back.
“I’m sorry, Zofia. You deserve to be in the care of someone who doesn’t have the potential to control your every move. I’m not good to be around. I didn’t think this through, and it’s on me.” He groaned, warring with the thoughts in his head. “If you need sanctuary at the shop, let me know. But I don’t think that you living here is a good idea.”
She was forced back, whatever brief comfort she’d found in being held quickly fizzling out like a candle in a rain storm. There it was. There it was. She smiled a bitter, sad thing. He’d witnessed the monster and no matter how many arrows the beast had in it’s hide, he was prepared to fire another volley at its heart. At her.
Zofia moved out of the circle.”Save your apologies.” She didn’t bother to put any energy behind the statement. The words tasted bitter as they fell from her mouth. “I’ll be gone tonight. Won’t have to worry about whether or not the big bad beastie is lurking in your guest room any longer.
The corner of her mouth ticked, and she stood up taller. “I don’t need to be in anyone’s care.” She hurried to the guest room and threw what little she had into a bag. She walked back out into the space, taking a good look at the man. He’d do it, wouldn’t he? Control her. And what then? She’d be trapped again. A different sort of trapped, but trapped nonetheless. And she had promised herself that she would not let herself be trapped again.
“I hope you have a nice, long life, Alistair.” She said, anger coloring the edges of her voice. “Lovely meeting you Brutus.” She nodded to the dog. At least the dog had liked her. Before the necromancer could change his mind, she got out of the apartment as quick as she could. When she’d finally put a good amount of distance between herself and the flat, she let out a frustrated scream. Starting over, yet again.

This is Me Trying
Part one and two
Pairing: Peter Parker x Reader enemies to lovers!
Synopsis: it’s time for secrets to come out
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“How’s the project coming along?” You asked as you laid your head in Peter’s lap. You were in his room, like you always were, a month after you officially started dating.
“Just about done.” He answered you. “I made the periods bigger so we’d hit the maximum page length.”
“Ooo.” You snickered. “What a bad boy.”
“I’m really not.” He chuckled and began to play with your hair. “This is the most incriminating thing I’ve done all year.”
“I wouldn’t mind if you were.” You shrugged. “I like bad boys.”
“Do you?”
“Yeah. Remember that guy that like died in the war but then came back to life as an assassin? From a few years ago?” You asked as you looked up at him.
“The Winter Soldier?” Peter wondered.
“Yeah. Him.” You nodded. “I wanted to fuck him.”
The bluntness in your tone knocked the wind out of Peter’s chest. Nothing could have prepared him for what you had just said. You were too busy laughing to notice how shaken he was.
“W-what?” He stuttered as you sat up.
“I don’t know.” You laughed. “Like, I knew he was a murderer but I was into it. I wanted to spread him on a cracker.”
Peter pouted and folded his arms, his jealously getting the better of him.
“He’s not as strong as he looks, you know.” Peter got defensive. “And his hair is super greasy. It’s like a freaking slip and slide up there.”
“Hm. That’s a problem for me. I’m more into curls.” You smiled as you ran your fingers through his hair. “And how would you know how strong he is?”
Peter gulped, realizing he had said a little too much. Spider-Man knew how strong Bucky was, but you didn’t know about that.
“I don’t.” He lied. “I’m just assuming.”
“You don’t think he’s strong with that metal arm?” You asked as you pulled up a picture of him on your phone. “His biceps are like the size of my head.”
“They’re only bigger than mine because he’s older. A lot older.” Peter insisted. “Like, he’s geriatric.”
“Oh my God. Look at him!” You ignored Peter’s comment and showed him a picture of Bucky. “I want to suck on his thighs.”
“Ew.” Peter whined. “He’s like 400 years old.”
“So what you’re telling me is he’s experienced.” You raised your eyebrows suggestively. Peter let out an angry huff, jealousy bubbling in his stomach.
“Gross.” He groaned. “Why are you saying this in front of me? I’m your boyfriend. Not him.”
“I’m just kidding, Pete.” You chuckled and cupped his chin. “Plus, he’s basically a fictional character to us. It’s not like he’s some guy we know.”
Peter looked to the side, hating when he had to lie to you. Bucky was someone he knew personally, but you didn’t know that.
“Hm.” Peter mumbled quietly. You noticed Peter’s expression and climbed into lab, straddling his hips.
“Hey, I’m sorry.” You cupped his face and rubbed your nose against his. “I didn’t mean to make you all pouty. I’m only kidding about the Summer Soldier.”
“Winter Soldier.” Peter halfheartedly corrected you.
“Winter Soldier. See?” You shrugged. “I don’t even know his name.”
“You still said you would fuck him, though.” Peter pouted as he looked down at his lap.
“I said I wanted to. Past tense.” You corrected. “I had crush on him when I was like 14. I don’t even think of him or his thunder thighs anymore.”
“I have a hard time believing that.” Peter grumbled. You could tell he was still jealous so you pulled him in for a long kiss.
“It’s true. I only have eyes for you, Pete.” You whispered once you pulled away. He cracked a smile before rolling his eyes at you.
“Right.” He said sarcastically. “Just me and the murderer you want in your pants.”
“Come on.” You whined when he didn’t let up. “Can you even blame me? He works with the Avengers. You have to admit, that’s hot.”
Peter stopped pouting when he heard this. He may not be able to be the kind of bad boy you liked, but he was an Avenger.
“You really think that’s hot?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Duh.” You stated. “Don’t you like the Avengers?”
“Most of them.” He nodded. “But not Bucky.”
“Who’s Bucky?” You asked.
“Sorry.” He shook his head. “The Winter Soldier.”
“Why did you call him Bucky?” You laughed in confusion. You had no idea who James “Bucky” Barnes was. Unlike Peter, who sat across from him at dinner a week before.
“That’s his nickname.” Peter explained without thinking it through.
“I didn’t realize you and the Winter Soldier were on a nickname basis.” You teased. “What does he call you?”
“He doesn’t really talk to me.” Peter shrugged. “He’s really quiet, except when he’s with Cap.”
You sat back suddenly, looking at Peter like he was crazy. He was forgetting who his audience was and how you knew nothing of his double life.
“What?” Peter asked when he saw your face.
“Bucky? Cap?” You repeated his words. “Who are these people? What the hell are you talking about?”
“Bucky goes by, well, Bucky. And most of us call Steve, Cap.” Peter explained. “Well, except for Mr. Stark. He calls him Blondie most of the time.”
“So you’re hanging out with the avengers now?” You raised a skeptical eyebrow.
“Well, yeah, when when I’m…” Peter trailed off when he realized his mistake.
“When you’re what?” You asked. Peter knew he backed himself into a corner here. He didn’t want to lie to you anymore, so he figured it was time to tell you the truth. Not that he has much of a choice.
“I have something to tell you.” He stated. “It’s kinda important.”
“Okay.” You nodded and held his hand. “What’s up?”
“Don’t freak out, okay?” He prefaced. “It’s not as crazy as it sounds.”
“Oh.” You gasped. “Are you gay?”
“What? No.” Peter answered immediately. “Why was that your first guess?”
“Well my first guess was steroids but I know how you feel about that.” You mumbled out of the corner of your mouth.
“It’s neither of those things. I’ve Uh…I’ve been bitten.” Peter began, not sure how else to phrase it. You smiled a little, thinking he was flirting.
“So have I.” You mumbled as you brought his hand to your lips to kiss the back of it.
“No. Not like that.” He waved his hand and your face fell. “I mean, yes like that. But that’s not what I’m talking about right now.”
“Then what is it, Peter?”
“They do a lot of experimental science at Oscorp. Genetic mutations, stuff like that.” He explained, beating around the bush.
“Why are we talking about Oscorp?” You wondered.
“I broke into one of the labs freshman year.” He explained. “I was trying to figure out some equation my father was working on.”
“Okay.” You said skeptically.
“I ended up in this weird room with all these modified spiders and one bit me. Right here.” He showed you his knuckles, which had a tiny scar on the center. You took his hand and examined the scar closer.
“What is this leading to?”
“After I was bitten, I could do all these things I couldn’t do before.” He told you. “I could climb walls, lift buses, and you know, my biceps grew.”
“You’re telling me a spider bite gave you muscles?”
“I’m telling you that I’m Spider-Man.” He said finally, making the room go silent. It was his first time telling a person on purpose, so it meant a lot to him. Your expression changed from skeptical to serious as you dropped his hand. You reached forward slowly and touched his face, staring at him like you were seeing him for the first time.
“Oh my God.” You whispered. “Peter, you’re…”
He put his hand over yours when you trailed off, anticipating the end of your sentence. Suddenly, you pushed his face away with a smirk.
“Full of shit.” You finished. “You are so full of shit. You almost had me.”
“I’m not.” Peter insisted. “I am Spiderman. I swear.”
“Peter. Be serious.” You whined as you got off his bed. “I thought you had something real to tell me.”
“I am being serious.” He told you. “This is the truth.”
“This is the truth.” You mimicked his voiced, like you used to. “Why would I believe that? Because you called the Fall Fighter by his nickname? Please.”
Peter was starting to grow frustrated. He always feared someone would find out his secret and he’s have to beg them not to tell. He never imagined he’d be sitting in front of his girlfriend, trying to convince her he was Spiderman.
“I know Bucky’s nickname because I know him.” Peter explained as he got off his bed. “It’s the same reason I know how strong he isn’t. He tried to punch me once and I caught his fist before he could. And that thing is made of vibranium. My hand hurt for a week.”
“I don’t get it.” You shrugged. “I don’t get the joke.”
“It’s not a joke. I really am Spiderman.” He insisted. “Mr. Stark recruited me back in 2016 to help him fight Captain America at an airport in Germany.”
“Yeah.” You nodded. “And I killed Princess Diana. I killed her and framed John-“
Peter grabbed your face and kissed you to shut you up, not wanting to hear your jokes when he was trying to tell you the biggest secret of his life.
“Can you shut up for a second?” He asked sweetly when he pulled away. “I’m trying to talk to you about something important. And we both know who really killed her.”
“No you’re not.” You snorted. “You’re trying to mess with me.”
“I’m telling you the truth.” He whined. “Why won’t you believe me?”
“Because you’re saying ridiculous things.” You chuckled as you walked over to your phone, which had been resting on his desk.
“May’s asking what we want for dinner.” You read her text off your screen. “Do you want Chinese again or-“
Before you could finish your sentence, Peter shot a web at your waist and pulled you towards him. You stumbled into his arms before looking down in confusion. You saw the web attached to your hip and tugged at it, but it didn’t come off. You looked at Peter with wide eyes for some answers.
“What the fuck?” You whispered harshly as you yanked on the web.
“Do you believe me now?” He asked as he held up his wrist. You saw the web shooter he had slipped on and touched it carefully. Between the web on your hip and his crazy story, you had no choice but to believe him.
“Well now I’m just embarrassed.” You mumbled sheepishly. “I was pretty sure I was right.”
“I told you you’d have to get used to be being right.” Peter smirked as he helped pull the web off of you. You put your hands on your hips and sighed loudly as you processes the information.
“Okay, wait.” You began. “How have you been Spider-Man this whole time? I’ve seen you fall up the stairs.”
“It’s different when I have the suit on.” He told you. “It gives me confidence.”
“Can I see it?” You asked, a childlike smile on your lips.
“The suit? Sure.” Peter went to his closet and pulled it out of his hiding spot. He brought it over to you, noticing your awestruck expression and smiling.
“Wow.” You whispered as you stared at the folded suit. “Can I touch it?”
“Go ahead.” He smiled, loving how impressed you were. He watched you fondly as you carefully ran your fingertips along the suit, tracing all the lines and details.
“It feels like a football.” You commented, making him laugh.
“Yeah.” He agreed. “I’m not sure what material it is. Mr. Stark made it for me.”
“Tony Stark made this for you?” You gasped.
“Yeah.” He nodded. “A few years ago.”
“Is that when he recruited you?” You wondered. “For Germany?”
“Is it. You listened.” He smiled happily when you remembered little details he had told you.
“Well I can’t tune you out anymore if you’re my boyfriend.” You winked at him before returning your attention to the suit. He blushed a little, appreciating how far you’ve come in your relationship.
“Can you put it on for me?” You asked suddenly as you looked up at him. Peter didn’t expect this reaction, especially not this request.
“Really? You want me to put it on?” He smiled shyly.
“Please?” Your eyes lit up. “I want to see you in it.”
“Okay.” He nodded as he tried to hide his excitement. “I’ll go put it on.”
Peter went into his bathroom and slipped into the suit. He didn’t know why he was as excited as he was to show you. Maybe because you hadn’t caught him in the suit like May and Ned had. He told you his secret willingly, and you asked to know more.
“Are you ready?” You called from the other side of the door. “I feel like I’m waiting to see you walk down the aisle.”
“I’m ready.” He called back as he pressed the center of the suit so it tightened against his skin. He gave himself one last look in the mirror before going back to his bedroom.
“Here it is.” He said sheepishly as he walked towards you. “What do you think?”
Your jaw dropped a little when you saw him. He seemed taller, but you realized it was just because he wasn’t slouching. In his suit, he looked more confident then you had ever seen him. He looked like a hero, and it brought a smile to your face.
“Holy shit.” You whispered as you walked closer to him. You reached forward to touch him, but quickly moved withdrew your hand.
“Are you scared?” He worried when he saw you pull away.
“No. Not of you.” You assured him. “But sometimes I find random glitter on my hands and I’m scared of getting anything on the suit.”
Peter chuckled at your reasoning and picked up your hand.
“It’s okay. You can touch me.” He whispered as he put his hand on his chest. Your eyebrows went up when you felt his warmth through the suit.
“Wow.” You smiled softly. “I didn’t think I’d be able to feel your heartbeat through it”.
“Well you make it beat pretty fast.” He told you as he put his hand over yours.
“Wait.” You pulled away a little. “If you’re Spider-Man, does that mean…”
“Yes?” Peter asked when you trailed off.
“You can set me up with Bucky.” You finished your sentence. “Do you have his number? Tell him I want to wash his hair.”
Peter let out a loud groan, not finding your joke funny. You laughed and tried to pull him back to you, but he kept pulling away.
“I’m kidding. I’m kidding. Come back.” You laughed and tugged on his arm. “Come here. I love you.”
Peter stopped pulling away and froze. When you saw the bewildered look on his face, your smile fell.
“What?” He asked, his voice coming out in a whisper. That shit eating grin you used to hate broke through, lighting up his features. You tried not to let your shock show as you realized what you had said.
“Hm?” You pretended not to understand. “What?”
“What did you just say?” Peter again, now unsure he has heard you correctly.
“I didn’t say anything.” You shrugged, trying to act like you didn’t just tell your boyfriend that you loved him. It’s not that you didn’t mean it, but you didn’t mean to tell him that soon.
“Did you just tell me you loved me?” Peter asked hopefully as he pulled your closer to him.
“Hm. No. Wasn’t me.” You shook your head. “Must have been the wind.”
“My windows are closed.”
“Air conditioning.” You corrected.
“It’s off.”
“Then I don’t know what to tell you. I didn’t tell you I loved you. That would be ridiculous. How could I have fallen in love with the most annoying person on the planet?” You asked, questioning yourself more then him. You didn’t know how you had fallen for Peter in such a short amount of time. Just a few months ago, you couldn’t stand him. Now, you were standing in front of him, hoping he loved you back.
“I ask myself that every time I look at you.” He said, making your breath hitch in your throat.
“Are you saying you love me too?” You asked slowly.
“I thought you didn’t tell me you loved me?” He smirked, always taking a chance to tease you.
“I didn’t.” You lied, but you knew you were caught.
“Damn. That’s a shame.” Peter smiled softly. “Because I love you.”
“Yeah.” You smiled back once he confessed his feelings. “I bet you do, loser.”
Peter laughed at your never ending need to insult him before pulling you into a kiss. You wrapped your arms around his neck to keep him close. You could feel his gloved hands on the bare skin of your waist and shivered. When you pulled away, you kept your foreheads pressed together.
“I never thought it would be you.” You mumbled as you twirled one of his curls around your finger. “I never thought I’d fall in love with you.”
“It surprised me too.” He chuckled. “I’m glad this happened though. You weren’t just who I wanted to be. You were who I wanted to be with.”
“Promise me you’ll be careful.” You whispered. “I don’t ever want to get a call at three am telling me I need to come to the hospital. And I don’t want to start bringing three roses to the cemetery instead of two.”
“Hey, I’m not going anywhere.” He assured you as he held your face between his hands. He wiped your tears away with his gloves hands and kissed your nose. “I would never go anywhere where you couldn’t follow”.
“Ew.” You sniffled as you wiped your eyes.
“Why ew?” He chuckled.
“We’re gross.” You said. “We fell in love and now we’re gross.”
“It’s okay.” He smiled. “I like being gross with you.”
“I’m gonna throw up.” You gagged, making you both laugh.
“You’ll be okay.” He told you, and you believed him.
“Okay, now that we got that conversation out of the way, I have a lot of questions about all of this.” You said as you gestured to his suit.
“Ask me anything.” He said. “I’ll answer.”
“What did you wear before this?” You wondered. “I saw Spider-Man sightings on the news before 2016.”
Peter went to his closet and pulled out his original Spider-Man suit, the makeshift hoodie he used to wear.
“This. I made it myself.” He said as he handed it to you.
“No kidding.” You teased as you took it from him. “Did you sew this with your feet?”
“It was the best I could do.” He rolled his eyes. “I’m so lucky he made me a real suit. This one was not very protective.”
“Actually, I kind of like it.” You smiled as you held it up. It had bullet holes and tears everywhere. “It shows where you’ve been. And how far you’ve come.”
“I like your way of looking at it.” He smiled. “It’s yours, if you like it so much. I don’t need it anymore.”
“Why don’t you tell people that its you? This would make you famous. Like, Tony Stark famous.” You said as you put the hoodie on. “Don’t you want that? You know, since you’re such a loser at school.”
“Very funny”. He narrowed his eyes at you. “And no, actually. I’m safer this way. Plus, the bad guys can’t tell if I’m scared with the mask on. And it’s fun to have a secret. It gives me an edge.”
“Wow. I did not think me telling you I wanted to fuck the Winter Soldier would lead to all of this.” You poked fun at the situation.
“Me either but I’m glad it did.” He remarked. “I’m happy that you know. And I’m happy that you love me.”
“Well don’t make a big deal out of it.” You mumbled. “It’s embarrassing.”
“Don’t be embarrassed.” He laughed. “This is exciting. It’s all exciting.”
“We get it.” You teased as you wrapped your arms around his neck. “You’re an Avenger, I’m in love with you, yada yada. It’s not that big of a deal.”
“It’s the hugest deal.” He insisted. “I want you to meet them. Come meet my team.”
“You want me to meet the Avengers?” You gulped.
“Yeah. I’m supposed to stop by the tower later for a meeting. Why don’t you come with me? This is one of the rare days where everyone is in the tower.”
“Are you sure about this?” You asked him. “What if they don’t like me?”
“They probably won’t.” He said simply. “Since you’re so irritating and everything.”
“Shut up.” You shoved him playfully. “I’m serious. This is way more intimidating than meeting someone’s parents.”
“Don’t be scared. I’ll be holding your hand the entire time.” He said as he kissed your knuckles. “And they’re way less intimidating than they seem. I promise, you’ll be fine.”
“Okay.” You reluctantly agreed. “I’ll meet them. But if I see Bucket, I can’t promise I’ll be able to control my hormones.”
“It’s Bucky.” He corrected. “And I’ll know if you’re getting too, you know, hot and bothered.”
“How would you know?” You asked, and his face flushed.
“Well, one of the powers I got was super smell. I can smell when people are scared or happy or…” He trialed off, too much or a gentleman to say the word.
“Horny?” You asked with a dropped jaw. “You can smell when people are horny?”
“I prefer the term aroused.” He said sheepishly, making you laugh loudly.
“Oh my God. What a pervert.” You teased him.
“It’s not my fault!” He was flustered now. “I didn’t ask for this power.”
“Wait.” You realized. “Can you smell when I’m aroused?”
Peter didn’t answer, but his silence spoke volumes. Your jaw dropped as you playfully smacked him.
“You pervert!” You painfully scolded. “You could smell that and never told me?”
“It’s my my fault.” He whined. “Not all the time, anyway.”
“So when is it your fault?” You folded your arms and he gulped.
“It’s only my fault when I purposefully wear that one white shirt.” He said quietly. “Whenever I’m wearing it, I can always, you know...”
“Smell me?” You nearly screamed. “You wear that shirt just to get a rise out of me? You little slut.”
“I’m not a slut.” Peter laughed. “I could just smell how much you liked it, so I started wearing it more. And in the name of being honest, I can smell you right now.”
“Oh my God. You whore. You little minx.” You taunted playfully. “Using your body for attention like that. What a dirty little slut.”
“I’m not dirty or a slut.” Peter insisted. “You’re the one who gets worked up over a t shirt.”
“Excuse me?” You let out a shocked laugh. “Don’t turn this around on me, mister. I can’t control how I react to your erotic clothing. Especially when you’re the one who can’t even form a sentence around me when I wear that one red skirt.”
“Erotic?” He shot back. “It’s literally a $5 shirt from Target. It’s shapeless. And that skirt could not be shorter. I can literally see your ovaries in it.”
“You give it shape with your stupid spider muscles.” You said as you pointed an accusing finger at him.
“Oh my God.” He gasped. “You’re thinking about the shirt now, aren’t you?”
“No I’m not.” You said quickly.
“Really?” He cocked his head. “Smells like you are.”
Before you could respond, and you had a lot to say, Peter’s phone buzzed.
“It’s Mr. Stark.” He told you. “He said I should come now.”
“We’re finishing this conversation later.” You said as you grabbed your phone. “You’re still in trouble.”
“Whatever you say.” Peter chuckled as he lead you out the door. You thought you were going to the elevator, but Peter brought you to the staircase.
“I don’t walk there.” He said as he lead you up the stairs. He opened the door to the roof and gestured to the edge. “I swing.”
The next thing you knew, you were swinging towards the Avengers tower in Peter’s arms. You held on tightly to him as you tried not to scream in his ear. He was loving how he finally got to show someone what his life was like while you were fearing for your life. Finally, you landed on the balcony of the tower and Peter set you down.
“So?” He asked excitedly. “Did you have fun?”
“You tell me. Can’t you smell my excitement?” You jeered as you caught your breath. Peter knew you weren’t going to drop that for a long time. He took his mask off and lead you inside, not wanting to tell you that he could smell how scared you were.
Finally, he brought you to the conference room where the rest of the Avengers were. Their causal chatter came to a stop when you walked in together and all eyes were on you.
“Hey everyone.” Peter said shyly. “This is my girlfriend, Y/n. Shes gonna sit in on the meeting today.”
“Y/n?” Nat jumped in immediately. “The one who’s hair you used to stick gum in when you were little?”
“I thought Y/n was the girl who filled your locker with extra small condoms and the filmed you when they all fell out.” Sam chuckled, giving you an impressed smile.
“No, wait.” Bruce cut in. “I thought she was the one who started the rumor that Peter didn’t know how to swim.”
“You’re all wrong.” Steve sighed. “Y/n is the one Peter blamed losing the class pet on. Remember? The little rat escaped and he told the class it was her fault.”
“It was a hamster.” Peter cringed. “And it was my fault. Sorry about that.”
“I love you, but I will never forgive you for that.” You smiled softly as you stroked his cheek with your thumb. The team looked at each knowingly at this display of affection.
“Love?” Tony asked as he entered the room. “Are we talking about how much you all love me?”
Tony stopped in his tracks when he saw you standing there. You had forgotten to take off Peter’s original Spider-man hoodie, and it caught Tony off guard. He never thought he’d see that hoodie again, the one that brought him to Peter in the first place. The one he studied and tried to replicate when he made Peter a new suit. The corners of his mouth turned down as he appreciated how much Peter had grown.
“Oh. I see Peter brought a friend.” Tony remarked. “Please, make yourself at home in our top secret facility that no one unauthorized personnel is supposed to enter.”
“Mr. Stark, this is my girlfriend Y/n.” Peter introduced you. You held out your hand for Tony to shake, and he did so without taking his eyes off of you.
“Y/n?” He asked. “The one-“
“Yeah. Probably.” You nodded, making him laugh.
“Nice to meet you, Y/n.” He said as he straightened himself out. “You’re welcome to sit in on the meeting. But if you make any noise, you will be taken out by a sniper.”
“He’s kidding.” Peter whispered to you, but he wasn’t entirely sure. Peter took a seat and you sat on his lap, making him fight back a smile. He was now at an Avengers meeting with his former enemy sitting on his lap, wearing his clothes.
“Thank you, sir.” You smiled at him. “It’s nice to meet you too. All of you. I appreciate everything you guys have done for the world. You’re all really brave.”
“Your boyfriend is pretty brave too.” Steve commented. “He surprises me everytime we work together.”
“I was surprised too.” You agreed. “I didn’t think the biggest loser I knew was protecting Queens.”
Everyone raised their eyebrows at your subtle jab at Peter and it suddenly made sense why the girl he’d been complaint about all these years had the same name as his girlfriend.
“You let her talk to you like that?” Sam teased.
“She can say whatever she wants.” Peter shrugged. “And she does. Do you know how hard it is to get her to stop talking?”
“Not nearly as hard as it is to get you to clean up after yourself, put the toilet seat down, or show up on time for dates.” You replied with a cheery smile. Peter smiled back and took the loss, not wanting to get into it in front of his team. He turned back to Tony and gave him his full attention as the meeting began. You stayed quiet on Peter’s lap as the team discussed their next mission and who would be covering what territory. You made a small noise when Tony gave Peter his assignment, making everyone look at you.
“Whats the matter?” Peter asked as he bounced you a little on his knee.
“I just didn’t realize you were such an important part of the team.” You said. Peter had a big role that required a lot more responsibility than you thought he was capable of. He didn’t seem worried in the slightest, which told you he was used to this much responsibility. Something about Peter’s ambition and ability to take on Avenger level tasks for very appealing to you.
So appealing, in fact, that Peter noticed.
“Hm.” Peter said and he sniffed the air. You folded your lips in, knowing exactly what he was doing. The rest of the team had no idea what was happening, but you knew Peter was trying to get a rise out of you.
“What’s wrong?” Nat took the bait. You pinched Peter’s leg under the table as he took another loud whiff.
“Nothing.” Peter smirked. “It just smells funny in here.”

Hi hi! I'm back with another chapter. This one might not be as good(?, it's a really fluffy chapter so bear with me.

“Sir, there’s a girl asking to see you.”
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Let her in.”
Only a few seconds later, your head was peeking through his door.
“I brought you coffee.” You extended your hand out, showing him the carton containing two iced drinks. “Are you busy?”
“Not at all, come in.” You sat on the elegant, individual sofa in front of him, his desk serving as a separation. “Are you here to spy on me? Don't you trust me with your father's case?” He pouted, typing something in his keyboard while your palms started sweating.
How could you not trust the man with the highest case winning index in the whole country?
Briefly, after your encounter with the other lawyer, you'd googled him as well as his company. Because of his incredibly high fees, he didn't have many clients, but those few who had enough money to cost him were almost assured to be on the winning side. So then, why hadn't an excellent lawyer like him popped up when you'd first looked for popular firms? Simple, he wasn't popular.
Just like a hidden gem, only a few had the pleasure to know Yoonoh, and you felt beyond grateful for paying that stupid membership weeks ago.
“No, no!” You were quick to defend yourself, frantically shaking your hands to support your previous statement. “Just wanted to be of help.”
Truth to be told, after receiving your first weekly allowance, an unsettling feeling had been squeezing your heart ever since. Call it guilt or whatever, but it didn't set right to be receiving si much help from him when you hadn't had the chance to do anything in return. The least you could do was trying to be polite.
“You shouldn't be spending your money on me. I'm the one supposed to spoil you, remember?” He grabbed the plastic container by the lid, sipping the bitter liquid with an amused smile. “But thank you.”
“I paid my rent yesterday.” You blurted out, trying to avoid the uncomfortable silence threatening to settle between the two of you. “And I still have money left to save for my father's hospital bills, maybe even buy a present for my aunt.”
He admired how noble you were, making sure those around you had enough before even thinking to do something for yourself.
“I have a party this Friday, would you like to attend with me?” Your presence wasn't required as it wasn't a big event, but by the look in your eyes, he knew you were itching to do something in return for his kindness.
“Yes, of course!” Your orbs sparkled with excitement, finally feeling yourself useful.
“If you don't mind waiting, we can go buy something for you to wear right after I finish with this.” For what seemed like the tenth time in less than ten minutes, small beads of sweat rolled down the back of your neck. Thank God he wasn't able to see them. “Oh, come on, don't give me that look!”
“You’ve already done so much for me. I can buy the clothes myself, don't worry.” With a deep sigh, Yoonoh rose from his chair, taking long strides to surround the desk separating you. “W-what are you doing?” Now kneeling on the floor beneath you, his face was dangerously close to yours, coffee breath crashing against your nose.
“Using mind control to convince you to let me take you out.” He stared at you for a couple more seconds before saying: “Is it working?”
“I think your mind control is broken.” You whisper, unable to hold back the small giggles bubbling at the back of your throat.
“How about now?” He batted his eyelashes, trying to act cute despite his bold features. You shook your head.
Just as you thought it was over, his hand went up to cup your jaw, his thumb drawing uneven figures on the ticklish skin.
“How about now?” He repeated. You stammered, unsure of what to say. “Sorry, that was inappropriate.” Aware of your awkwardness and the rising heat in your cheeks, he stood up, walking back to his chair. “But I do want to get you something, would you let me?”
With your mind busy and your guard low, you nodded, unaware of the silly smile on his face.
“I have a few novels on my shelf in case you want something to kill time.”
“Thank you.” You moved to the huge bookshelf facing his desk, grateful your face wasn't visible anymore.
The books were ordered by genre and size, starting from the biggest law-related textbooks to pocket-sized novels, ending with the smallest one he had. The little prince.
Your eyes widened in disbelief. Yoonoh didn't seem to be the type to read that kind of heartbreaking yet beautiful book. Nonetheless, as many said, you can't judge a book by its cover.
An hour or two later, you were halfway into the first book of flowers in the attic, immersed in the small world the author had created. Yoonoh had finished his work a few minutes before, but distracting you when you were reading so vividly, seemed like a crime. He enjoyed the way your eyebrows would knit together every time something shocking happened, clearly too immersed in the novel to notice his intense gaze.
“Y/n...” He whispered once he noticed you were starting a new chapter. You blinked twice, hands clutching the book tightly as you noticed he had finished his work. “You can take it home, don't worry.”
“Sure?” He flashed his pretty dimples as his eyes turned into half-moons.
“You can come back for the rest of the saga when you finish this one. Take as many books as you please, I’ve already read them all.”
“Thank you.” Another act of kindness you had no way of returning. His favors just seemed to be piling up before you could even return any. “Would you like to have dinner with me today? I'm a great cook, or so did my father said.” You blurted out quickly, twisting your hands nervously as you waited for an answer.
“I’d love to. But I might have to attend some work calls if you don't mind.”
“I don't, maybe I'll even have time to bake a cake while you're at it.” God, how bad he wanted to take a picture of that adorably nervous smile.
“Great, so it's settled. Dinner at your place after we go shopping.” He had already put his blazer on, offering his arm to guide you out. With shaky fingers and sweaty armpits, you grabbed it, walking by his side with his secretary’s gazed glued on you. So much for a girl, huh?
Once seated in his car, with the book resting on your lap, you allowed yourself to relax. Yoonoh wasn't a bad person, on the contrary, he was very kind, so there was no use in keeping your guard up when he was around.
“Ready to roll?” You cringed at his use of slang, making him drop his head back to laugh. “What? Isn't it a thing you cool young adults say?”
“Maybe twenty years ago, Yoonoh.” It was the very first time you used his name so informally, and, oh how good it felt to hear you saying it?
“Fine, I won't use it anymore.” He poked your arm like a little child, and for a moment, you wondered if he was actually more than a decade older.
Several bad jokes, two dresses, and a quick stop at the grocery store later, you arrived at your apartment. Yoonoh held everything while you entered the passcode, struggling not to drop a can of vegetables that was starting to bend the edge of the paper bag.
“Ready, hand me something.” You both entered with your hands packed with different things. You went to your room to leave the new dresses while Yoonoh set the paper bags down on the kitchen counter.
“So...” He clapped loudly. “What are we cooking?”
“I bought the ingredients for lasagna. Is that okay with you?” He nodded, lips pressed and dimples in display. “Alright, let's do this.”
It would've been of great help if Yoonoh had told you he didn't know how to cook. But of course, part of the fault was yours for not noticing when he tried to add ketchup to the recipe.
“I burnt it.” He looked at the semi-carbonized pasta with disgust, feeling ashamed of having ruined your dish. “Let’s just throw it away and order something.” He was about to touch the hot container until your grip on his wrist halted his movements.
“We just pulled it out of the oven.” You shook your head in disbelief at the man standing in front of you.
“Sorry.”
Despite Yoonoh’s endless complaining, you ate the lasagna. The flavor wasn't that bad when you scratched off the burnt parts, especially when accompanied by a cold glass of wine.
“It’s not that bad.” You repeated over and over again. A phone call interrupted him from self-pitying any further. “Go on, take it.” You continued eating while he spoke in the living room.
It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that you realized he was whisper yelling at whoever was on the other line. It was your first time seeing him angry, and you didn't like it one bit. The way his face turned completely stoic, his eyes cold as his hand rested on his hip. Sweet, caring, Yoonoh was gone.
“I told you I needed it for today.” He said through gritted teeth. “You better get it before I arrive back at the office, or you can find yourself another job.” Even after he hung up, Yoonoh stood in the middle of the shared area, clutching his phone so tightly, it seemed like it would break any minute.
You wanted to ask if everything was alright, if he needed any help, but most importantly, if the things he needed were related to your father's case, but all the words stuck to your throat like insects in a spider web.
“I need to go.” He simply said, not even bothering to fake a smile. “Thank you for dinner, I'll see you on Friday.” With his free hand, he grabbed the coat hanging from his chair and left, slamming the door on his way out.
Was that the real Yoonoh?
A shiver ran down your spine. What had you gotten into? From what you'd seen, it was only about time he would show his true self to you as well.
All the trust you'd built up during the day, had crumbled down in a matter of seconds. The worst part? You didn't even feel entitled to be scared, not after all he'd done for you.
‘Just keep your distance.’ You repeated like a mantra as you got ready for bed, leaving the book you'd borrowed right where he'd left it, afraid it would burn your fingertips even with the slightest touch.
(...)
The week wasn't nearly as long as you'd wanted it to be, and soon enough, you were struggling to zip the dress you'd bought days ago. Your makeup was done, and Yoonoh had texted you he was on his way, yet, you'd been fighting with the zipper for at least ten minutes. Your fingers were cramping, and the clock was ticking.
Just when you'd finally started to drag the small piece of metal, the doorbell startled you, causing you to let go of it.
“Fuck!” Have you ever felt so desperate that tears start pricking your eyes? Well, that was the exact case happening at the moment.
You opened the door with the salty water collecting at the corner of your eyes, surprising Yoonoh, who was wearing his best dimply smile.
“What’s wrong?” He had a bouquet poorly hidden behind his back, probably to apologize for the night he abruptly left and almost knocked down your door.
“I-I can't zip up my dress.” Your voice came out shaky, giving away the emotions burning your gut. Thankfully, Yoonoh didn't seem to notice, and if he did, he didn't mention it.
“I’ll help you.” He, not-so-discretely, put down the bouquet, gently turning you around to your discomfort. His cold hands touched your back as he dragged the zip up, noticing how tense you were but deciding not to comment on it. “Oh! You haven't moved the book from where I left it.”
“I haven't had time to read.” He hummed, crouching to reach for the bouquet and hand it to you. “Thank you.”
“It’s my way of apologizing for the fit I threw a couple of days ago.” A fit? That was one way to call it.
“It’s okay.” You lied as you pushed the corners of your lips to form a credible smile. “Let’s get going.”
The flowers were left on the kitchen counter before you left. The ride in the elevator was awfully quiet, and Yoonoh had no idea what had happened. You were so chatty the last time he saw you, so of course, he was taken aback by the sudden change.
“It’s not going to take long, so we can head out for some drinks later if you'd like...” You nodded, for you knew speaking would only expose your discomfort. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah! Just nervous about the party, that's all.”
You stood by Yoonoh’s side for the rest of the evening, smiling and nodding at his acquaintances’ comments. At one point in the evening, a man, not much older than you, approached you both with a wide smile.
“Dude, I hadn't seen you in ages. Stop sending your workers and come see me yourself.” They hugged. Why were they hugging?
“Y/n, this is my brother, Sungchan.” The man with puppy-like eyes embraced you tightly, almost as if welcoming you to his family. “Sungchan, this is y/n, my girlfriend.” He said it so naturally, it’d take a detective to figure out the truth about your relationship.
“I’ve heard a lot about you. I'm sorry for your father. But don't worry, we'll take those bastards down.”
“I’m not following...” You blinked repeatedly, eyes going back and forth between Yoonoh and his brother.
“Sungchan is a doctor. I asked him to look at your father's case for further evidence. My assistant was supposed to pick up the report the day we had dinner, but she forgot to drop by. Now we’re a day behind schedule.” The dark cloud surrounding him seemed to be slowly dissipating as you heard his explanation. “This is an important case, and I want to be as meticulous as possible.”
Thank you didn't seem the right thing to say at the moment, at least not with Sungchan standing there, so you simply grabbed his hand, squeezing it to let him know how grateful you were.
To your surprise, he didn't even flinch as he locked your hands together, causing a small giggle from Sungchan.
“Okay, love birds, I'll get going.” He waved you goodbye, making his way to another table where his friend waited for him.
“Can we talk?” You whispered in his ear, afraid one of the numerous attendants would hear you.
“Sure.” Without letting go of your hand, he drove you to a small, private garden just outside the ballroom. “Are you gonna tell me what's wrong now?” His thumb caressed your knuckles with gentle strokes.
“I’m so sorry.”
“What for?”
“I pushed you away at the minimum trouble when you were only helping me.” He hummed as if he already knew about it. “And it will probably happen again, so please, be patient with me. I'm going through-” Your face collided against his chest as his arms draped over your shoulders, squeezing you tightly.
“Call me reckless, but I've wanted to do this for a while.” Your hands hung at the sides of your torso, unsure what to do next. “You can push me away, I'll understand...”
Instead, your palm found its place in his back, rubbing up and down the designer jacket. Your hair started turning messy from the night breeze, some strands striking Yoonoh’s chin as his embrace only grew tighter.
“Let’s get out of here.” He mumbled, crawling the back of your head with his hand. “Sungchan can deal with my father's friends.”
“Are you sure?” His hum vibrated through his chest, making you giggle at the odd feeling.
Once seated in his car, his hand found yours like a magnet, the warmth emanating from it comfortably enveloping your skin.
The calmness of the atmosphere was interrupted by a call from his brother, who seemed to be anxiously explaining something through the phone.
“Just tell him I had a work emergency.” With that said, he hung up, placing his hand back again on top of yours. “Sorry, he said it was urgent.”
“It’s okay.” An unsettling feeling pinched your stomach, but you decided to dismiss it, immersed in the chilly weather of the dark streets.
You arrived at the river, where Yoonoh asked you to wait for him while he bought a couple of beers. It was a sight to see, both of you clad in fancy clothes, barefoot and chugging down can after can.
“I think I like being with you.” You declared, mind fuzzy from the alcohol intake.
“I think I like it too.” The tips of his ears were rosy, revealing he was as intoxicated as you, maybe even more.
“Would you like to visit my father with me tomorrow?” The words flew out of your mouth before you could even realize. Afraid you'd killed the mood, you tried to excuse yourself, only to be interrupted by his lips grazing your ear, placing a timid kiss on your lobe.
“I’d love to.” It was the sweetest peck, no ulterior motives behind it, just pure affection.
“Are we going too fast?” In your drunken state, what you had felt like a real relationship, not a simple agreement. And this sure felt like a first date.
“We’re moving at our own pace, I believe.” He dropped his head on your shoulder, pressing against it to relieve the dizziness clouding his mind. “Are you okay with that? Maybe you don't want to be with an old creep like me, and I'd totally get it. Just don't let me get my hopes up if that's the case.”
“You might be old, but definitely not a creep.” Your fingers combed through his abundant hair as your mind wandered into the future, grateful for the fact that he wouldn't become bald soon. “Or are you?”
“I don't think so.” Anyone who walked by would've seen a couple of goofs, too intoxicated to talk without slurring the words, but you were living in your own, comfy bubble. “I should get you home before it gets too late. Come on, I'll call a driver.” He tried getting on his feet to no avail, stumbling back a little before falling back on his ass.
“My apartment is nearby. You can stay for the night.” You grabbed both pairs of shoes as his arm surrounded your shoulder for assistance. “If you keep supporting your whole weight on me, we're both gonna fall.” People on the street shot you a couple of funny looks, which was understandable since it wasn't usual to see two drunk idiots walking barefoot in the middle of the night.
“How long till-” Hiccup. “-we get there?” His stare seemed to worsen with every step. “God, I think I might throw up.”
“Stop acting like a teenager, we're almost there.”
As soon as you arrived at the small apartment, you sat him down on the little step where you changed your shoes. You left both pairs on the rack, proceeding to put on slippers to enter the house.
“Don’t leave me here!” He whined, stomping his feet like a little kid.
“Just wait for a second!” His attitude was starting to get on your nerves to the point where you couldn't feel the effects of the beer anymore.
You grabbed a rag from the kitchen cabinet and dampened it under the sink. Yoonoh was half asleep when you walked back to him.
“My head hurts.” He mumbled as you sat in front of him, placing his left foot on your lap. “What are you doing?”
“I don't have any slippers that will fit you, and I don't want your dirty feet making my house dirty.” With utmost delicacy, you wiped away the dirt from his toes, noticing the small scratches caused by the gravel he walked on.
He touched your hair while you finished with his other foot, tangling the strands with fascination.
“Done, get up.”
He followed your indications as you guided him to your room, where you laid him down on his side in case he threw up.
“Are we visiting your father tomorrow?” He asked while snuggling under the covers.
“Sure.” You cleared his forehead from the strands falling in it, grazing the soft skin of his forehead. “Sweet dreams, gigantic baby.”

“All right everyone off the bus and wait inside the lobby!”
Everyone sprung off their seats on the bus and ran to the door. Today everyone was visiting Oscorp, Norman Osborn’s lab, it was some sort of publicity thing so Norman would get elected mayor of New York.
You and Peter were sitting next to each other during the bus ride, it was early in the morning and you had to wake up much earlier than what you would of liked to, so you both were still half asleep. “You ready to go?” You looked over at Peter who was still sitting in his seat, staring off into space. “come on Pete get up.” You pulled Peter up which seemed to snap him out of his trance. “You ok?”
“Yea, I just spaced out sorry.” Peter got up and walked into the aisle with you close behind him. Once you got outside the air was crisp and cold, making you and Peter shiver. You ran into the building to get warm and meet up with the other students.
“Where’s Ned?” Peter asked, you swore you saw him get onto the bus with you this morning, but you’re not sure who he sat with.
Eventually you spot him in the corner talking to someone, “He right over there, but who’s he talking to?” You turned Peter around and inconspicuously pointed to him and the girl.
Peter took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes and the lenses and put the back on to get a better look. “Thats Betty from the schools morning announcement team I th-”
“Thats Betty?” You whisper shouted. “Ned kept bringing up a girl named Betty and I swore her name was Annie, I mean, she looks like an Annie. But I thought Ned just made her up, I didn’t think she was real” You looked over to Peter who was looking a mixture of shock and surprise. “I am so stupid.”
“First off how did you not know Betty’s name we have homeroom together? And second how did you know Ned had a crush on her?” Peter kept his voice down so he doesn’t draw attention to you both, not wanting Flash to overhear and ruin Ned’s chances.
“I think just have a knack for knowing when someone is in love.” You joked
Only Peter didn’t realize you were joking, “Wait what-” Peter started but was interrupted by Mr. Harrington by splitting the groups in two.
“Groups 1-7 on the left and groups 8-15 on the right! AND REMEMBER TO STAY WITH YOUR BUDDY! I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE ANOTHER KID” He yelled, followed by the women working there having a shocked face and her hushing him.
You and Peter were group 7, you caught Ned’s eyes and he pointed to the right while you pointed left. Ned also pointed to Betty with a big smile on his face, followed by Peter giving him a thumbs up.
Peter was worried about what you said, you had a ‘knack for knowing when someone was in love’? What did you mean by that? Peter started to worry that you knew he liked you, and you’ve never confessed anything to him because theres nothing to confess.
No No No, don’t think like that Peter, he thought, trying to hype himself up, if she knew you liked her why is she still around? Surly if she did not feel the same way she would of left. Or she simply does not know. There is still a chance.
Peter was snapped out of this thoughts by you tugging him on his sweater, “come on the groups about to leave.” Peter and you speeded walked to the rest of the group so you were with the group but just in the back. “Are you doing ok Pete? You seem distracted.” You looked at him worried. Sure, Peter was an anxious guy, you even talked to him about if he wanted any professional help, but he assured you that he’s fine, just a tad overwhelmed, but this? He seemed so much more stressed and anxious, not to mention the constant spacing out.
Peter cleared his throat and put his arm around you, “I’m sorry, I guess theres a lot on my mind and I’m not too sure why.” Of course he knew why, he was stressing over the fact you might know he likes him! And also the fact that you might never love him and it was all too much for him too handle.
“Ok, but you know you can talk to me right?” You said as you gave him a side hug, “We’ve known each other for forever and the most important part of us being so close is that we can talk to each other.” You hoped Peter caught what you were trying to say. In complete honesty you’ve loved him for a long time. Ever since you saw him with his oversized glasses and his star wars shirts. But how could Peter Parker, the selfless, kind person ever love you? And how could you ever love someone so sickeningly sweet?
You don’t deserve him, you thought, he is completely in love with Liz and never will be with you.
“I know that,” Peter pulled you out of your thoughts, “I just don’t know whats wrong. I just kind of have a weird feeling.”
Peter hoped you would drop the conversation at that point. He didn’t want to spill his guts to you especially on a school field trip, where you were stuck together. But you just nodded and you turned your attention to the man walking you through the tour.
“And this here is the bio testing.” He pointed towards a room, “everyone needs to put on goggles and a lab coat-”
“Can we keep the lab coats?” Flash asked.
“No, you cannot keep the lab coats they are not complementary. Now hurry up everyone! If we are lucky we will be able to see the lab techs at work!”
Everyone started to quickly put their coats and goggles on, and people started to take photos on your phones. One of the people was you and Peter, “Smile!” He said and you both gave a cheesy smile. “I’ll send it to you.”
“Everyone please put your phones in here.” The tour guide handed out a white buckets and everyone groaned. “It is apart of Oscorp's privacy policy. No recording in certain areas such as the testing rooms.”
Everyone gave quite mumbles about how ‘stupid’ and ‘bullshit’ this was, some a little louder than others, and soon enough you were going thought the door with Peter on your side.
“And here is where we research different animals.” The tour guide showed off the different animals including, snakes, birds and-
“S-spiders” Peter was stunned, he hated spiders. He claimed that how they just don’t make sense, they can climb onto walls, shoot webs and for some reason are strong? He learned everything about them so if he was ever faced with one, and aunt May or Uncle Ben was not around to get rid of it for him, he would know how to get rid of it himself and stay alive.
“Come on Pete, they are harmless. But it is weird in here, it doesn’t seem like there is any research work, more.. testing.” Why were they testing on animals? Oscorp had branded it’s self on being cruelty free, but the again they did say they help the environment, which was a HUGE lie.
You grabbed Peter’s hand and shoved in front of of everyone to the front of the group, “excuse me but what exactly do you do with the animals here?” You ask as a man in a dark suit appears behind a door.
The tour guide starts but the man interrupts him, “And whats your name dear?”
“Y/N”
“Well, Y/n, we do research on the animals to see how we can use some features they have, replicate it, and use it.” The guy is clearly mansplaining, his attitude was intolerable.
“But the equipment you have around here looks like your testing on the animals?” You started but then Mr. Harrington stepped besides you.
“Y/n, I’m not sure if Mr. Osborn can answer your questions thoroughly, lets just continue looking at the animals.”
“Ah, yes thank you. And please make sure not to touch anything.” And with that the man, or apparently Mr. Osborn left.
It shocked you that you were just talking to the founder of Oscorp, and how blatantly rude he is.
“Wow whats that” Flash yelled near the window. You, Peter and the rest of the students all ran toward the window to see what was so cool. In the process a kid knocked over the glass container. As the tour guide saw he pressed the emergency button. “EVERYONE OUT NOW!”
Everyone ran out bumping into each other. Flash bumped into you causing you to trip and fall. “Fucking hell” you groaned. Your whole body was hurting at this point, you started to get up but you cut your hand on the broken glass. “Fuck” Another groan.
“Y/n? How do you feel?” Peter kneeled besides you trying to help you up but ended up slipping on the glass too cutting his hand and causing his glasses to break, “fuck, come on we need to leave.”
He moved his hand let out a small scream, “PETER ARE YOU OK WHAT WAS THAT?” You completely ignored the pain of your hand and helped grabbed his shoulder.
Peter was shaking his arm violently, “The spider just bit me and it fucking hurt.” Peter quickly got up and you both ran out of the room. You followed the others back to the lobby, the tour ended with Mr. Harrington giving your a band-aid thinking that would help and all of the students were pushed onto the bus.
You were bothering Peter with questions asking if he’s ok, “What about your glasses? How bad is your vision? Does your head hurt? My head would hurt hen I couldn’t see.” You looked over at Peter who sat down in his seat and was tapping his foot.
That question took him off guard, his vision was perfect, like he had contacts in. “I can see just fine, but what about you? How’s your cut” He reached for your hand and looked at you. The cut had stopped bleeding but the cut still looked sore.
“At least we have matching cuts now, hows yours?” You reached for his hand, you saw no cut so you looked at the other, also no cut, “didn’t you get cut too?”
“I thought i did, maybe it just grazed me, and not enough to actually hurt me. You should probably rest, you fell pretty bad.”
“Your the one that got bit with by the spider I should be asking about you, i’m surprised you aren’t freaking out that a spider was on your hand.”
“Don’t worry about me I’m fine, do you wanna listen to music?” Peter held up an ear bud and you nodded taking it.
Truth be told everything was too much for Peter, it was like he could feel everything. He felt like he just had 10 red-bulls mixed with 20 cups of coffee. He tried his best to ignore what was going on and sleep but he soon learned he could never ignore what was going on with him.
~~
When Peter thought he got these powers, he did nothing with them, sure he used them to his advantage, maybe to show off at the schools weight room, but other then that he didn’t. If anything his powers made him more confident with himself, he thought that maybe this was a sigh that if he could get powers, he could ask you out.
But all of that changed when we saw Uncle Ben die.
Peter started to be more closed off, he overworked himself to the bone.
As he started to become Spider-Man, in the process he was losing Peter Parker.
Peter lost some of the few friends that he had. His friend circle mainly consisted of you, Ned, and MJ. He only saw MJ at decathlon practice and lunch, Ned and him still had their playdates with building legos but he was clearly not as cheerful.
And with you, he started to text you less and less. You were there when he lost his parents but he was not 6 anymore. He understood death more than anyone else, he saw death happen right before his eyes. You thought that he just wanted some space, maybe you reminded him of him when his parent died. But it got to the point where you were starting to lose your best friend.
You stoped walking to school together, and it hurt. Although you would never admit this to anyone, you felt as though you were losing a part of yourself. Peter was your other half, you completed each other, or thats what you used to think.
You decided to throw yourself into your hobbies. You were trying your best to forget about Peter. Maybe he just outgrew you. Maybe he didn’t need you.
But you need him.
And you hate needing someone.
But Peter felt the same way. When he decided to become Spider-man, he wanted to make sure no one would get hurt from it. And he even made a costume that would hide his identity.
And it was far from good looking.
“Peter dude come on you love her! You’re gonna lose her if you keep pushing her away!” Ned was on the phone with Peter, he didn’t know what was going on with him, no one did. He just wanted his friend to be happy, and thats why him and MJ devised a plan.
“Y/n come on I know you are sick and tired of not talking to Peter! I even think you like him!” MJ yelled on the phone. “You need to talk to him it’s destroying you.”
“She’s the one who’s pushing me away! Im just respecting her wants!” Peter yelled back.
“MJ you’re not listening! You need to realize that Peter grew out of me! He does not want to see me and I don’t know why! I don’t want to hurt him anymore than what i apparently did!”
MJ and Ned had a whole script planned out. They knew how to push you both just right so that you would fall onto the trap.
“Peter just listen to me! When you next see her confess your feelings! If she does not feel the same you will get closure and nothing else will really change from whats going on! You need to talk to someone with whats going on with you. Tell her everything” Ned delivered the final push, almost done then we can get our friend group back he and Mj thought.
“Y/N! Go find Peter and get your closure! Please, if not for you do it for him! You know how he’s acting weird and you are the only one that can get him to open up! SO GO DOWN ON YOUR FIRE ESCAPE AND KNOCK ON HIS WINDOW AND CONFRONT HIM! NOW!”
“Fine Ned, next time I see her, I’ll tell her.”
“Fine I’ll go see him, bye”
And with that everyone hung up on their separate phone calls.
You climbed out of your window and onto the fire escape. It was weird how even though you lived so close together you felt so far apart.
You climbed down one, and looked inside. He was walking around his room, being all stressed, which for some reason was relaxing to you.
You knocked, nothing, so you opened the window and fell into his room with a big thump. “ow”
“Y/N? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU OK?” Peter rushed over to you helping your get up.
“Yes I’m fine Peter but what is wrong with you?” You didn’t mean to sound harsh, but you needed to be. “Why did you stop hanging out with me?” You looked up to him and finally met his eyes. It was refreshing to see him, anytime either one of you caught a glimpse of the other, you ran. “Why did you stop being my best friend?” You voice was quiet now, you didn’t want Peter to know that your voice was cracking.
It really broke Peter, he was just trying to protect you, but in the end - as cringe as it sounds - he just pushed you away.
“You seem completely different, you’re not even wearing your glasses anymore. And fuck Peter I just miss you and your dorky glasses. Did you meet someone? Did you get a girlfriend? Did she not like that we were close?” You were just spitting out whatever came to mind, and this scenario was one you were thinking of all the time.
Peter jumped back at your words, “What no! I would never want to date someone if it ment that I could never see you again.”
Just tell her everything Peter thought about Ned’s words. Everything was a lot. How is he suppose to answer this, just spit it out?
Might as well start with the basics, “I’m Spider-man” Peter blurted out.
“What, you mean like you have a crush on him? Peter thats nothing to be embarrassed of, you know you can talk to me, you know i go both wa-”
“NO I MEAN LIKE I, PETER PARKER, AM SPIDER-MAN!” Peter shouted. Honestly it felt good to say it out loud the first time and he just wanted someone to know. And what better person than you.
“So in the month that you have been isolated from me thats your best excuse you could come up with?” You were appalled by his unbelievable excuse.
“I swear please believe me, like ummmmm HERE” Peter got his ‘suit’ from the  space in his ceiling and gave it to you. “Thats my suit.”
“you and every other fanboy has this.”
“What about... this!” Peter went over to you a picked up.
“what the fuck put me down!” You did not look impressed, Peter was looking around to see how he could prove to you that he was not lying.
“Remember that day we went to oscorp and how you questioned Osborn and when you fell?” You nodded, it was your last time you really hung out with him, how could you not? “I got bit by the spider and they were doing radioactive testing on it, which caused me to be well... spider-man.”
Then an idea sprung in his head, he quickly move past you and went on the fire escape and you followed. “Here, if this does not prove it, nothing will.” Peter jumped onto the railing with one hand on the wall.
“Peter what the fuck you’re gonna get yourself killed please I just want you to be honest with me and talk” You reached for Peter but he jumped off the railing and towards the wall and somehow... did not fall and stuck to it?
“Peter what the fuck?”
“now do you believe me?”
“If i say yes will you come back inside?” Peter nodded, “then yes i believe you”
Peter jumped on the side of the building and back onto the fire escape and you pushed him inside and you followed behind him.
“So since you really are spider-man, why were you so distant?” You finally asked. You were now sitting on opposite ends of his bed, and you were hugging and pillow trying to explode with everything you just learned. Peter fucking parker was spider-man? Nerdy little parker saving everyone, stoping cars with just his body, and defeating criminals? But, he did just stick to the side of his building, thats pretty damn good proof.  Your Peter Parker was Spider-man, the spider-man.
You thought this was just a dream but you didn’t want to wake up because that would mean Peter and you were still not talking.
“I wanted to protect everyone around me. When Ben died,” Peter took a breath and you reached over to squeeze his hand, “When Ben died, I had my powers but I did not do anything. I could of saved him, but i chose not to. So I decided I would become Spider-man so no one else would get hurt. And if anyone found out that you knew spider-man you would be in danger. So i thought if i pushed the people closest to me away, they wouldn’t get hurt.”
It was all too much for you to process. You felt terrible for feeling angry at him when he was saving lives.
“Why were you so distant from me?” Peter looked back up towards you and it was a fair question you both avoided one another.
“I thought I reminded you of your parents deaths. Other than Aunt May, I am the one person that has been in your life since their death and I thought you didn’t want to see me because of it. I also wanted to give you space to grieve.” You felt a weight being lifted off your shoulders by telling him. It was calming. “I also didn’t want to hurt you more, so i thought i would wait for you to open up to me like we normally do, but i should not have been so relaxed about all of this. I just didn’t want to ruin what we had” You took one last deep breath. “I’m sorry.”
You glanced up toward Peter and he leaned in and kissed you. It was shocking at first, it took you a second to process what was going on but then you felt light as you melted into the kiss. You felt as though you two were the only ones left in the world.
Peter pulled back to take a breath, “Ned told me to confess my feelings towards you. I’m sorry I didn’t me to spring it on you-” Peter was interrupted by you hugging him, rapping your arms around his waist and your face on his stomach.
“I feel the same way, Pete. Just please, I don’t want to do that ever again.” Peter at this point was now hugging you back. You missed this, but there was also something knew, and it made you smile.
“I never will, I promise y/n”

A Father's Son [Part 4] - Miguel O'Hara w/ Teenage Spider Son Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: It has been a year since I welcomed this world's version of Gabriella into my life, and everything has been running smoothly. However, one day I was on my way to pick her up from soccer practice when I noticed an unwelcome face talking to her.
Taglist: @christinesdemoness1958
[Earth-121 / The Soccer Field]
Placing my hand over my mouth, I yawned as I walked down the sidewalk with one hand in my pocket before I returned the other hand to the green and black jacket I was wearing - which happened to be Sleeper taking the form of a coat to protect us from the cold. Sleeper and I had just returned from dealing with our Afternoon Patrol - about 3 bank robbers were trapped in our webs and their bodies were devoured before we returned the money back to the bank; I had to pick brain pieces out of our teeth but it was necessary, Sleeper needed some power and I needed to make sure my partner and friend was well taken care of. We were on the way to pick up Gabriella from soccer practice.
It's been one year since I was allowed t come into this world and take the place of the Non-Existent Spider-Man & adopted Gabriella as her elder brother; as her legal guardian, I was able to put her into school while I got a job working at the newby construction site - it's a commission job until I found something more permanent but everything was going good with Gabriella and me. She was doing well in school and asked me if she was able to join the soccer team, I allowed it on the promise that she not speak to any strangers and even got her a pocket phone to call me just in case someone tried to speak with her. I turned the corner and the soccer field was in my sights, my eyes scanned the grounds when I finally caught sight of Gabriella and...
Wait...
Who is that talking to my sister?
There was a tall male, wearing a long grey shirt with a high collar, long pale pants, and brown shoes with...short brown hair and dark skin.
No.
He can't be here.
His notes said that there was nothing with this world's Gabriella that he was going to come here! I ran to the field and bolted into the gate before I called out to Gabriella, she looked around the man and locked eyes with me - she was crying - and she pushed past the man and ran into my arms as I pulled her behind me as the man turned to face me and I narrowed my brown eyes when hey locked with his red ones.
"What are you doing with my sister?" I growled at him, and he raised his eyebrow at me before opening his mouth to speak.
"What are you talking about? She's my daughter and I don't have a son." The nerve of this bastard.
"Are you certain about that, Miguel O'Hara? Or should I call you, Spider-Man 2099? Leader of the Spider-Society? How are Peter and Maday doing? Has Jessica Drew had her baby? Is Lyla still cracking jokes?" I asked with a raised eyebrow but with each question I asked, his eyes widened in shock and fear.
"The Computer said this world didn't have a Spider-Man, who do you know all of this information? Who are you?" Miguel asked and I just rolled my eyes.
"I'm Your SON, [Name] O'Hara! The one that you abandoned to raise another version of her but it caused a universe to collapse and she was taken away from you. I am the son whose mother you divorced because she couldn't give you any more children. I'm the son who left you and the Spider-Society to make a life of my own and you come here, trying to take my sister." I growled at him with a smirk, I wanted to eat his head; soon, the look of realization hit his face and he glared at me as well.
"You! You Foolish Boy! You come to another world that isn't your own and make a life here?! Do you realize that you can cause a universal collapse?!" Miguel barked as he pointed at me.
"I am not going to cause a Universal Collapse because there is no version of me here. I didn't alter anything and I found my sister here living alone after her father died and her mother left her alone. I've been here for a year and I have been able to protect this world as it's Spider-Man. Now, you will never get your hands on Gabriella so you can fuck right off." I waved him off before looking at Gabriella, "Let's go home, Gabby."
"Okay, big brother." She said as held onto my sleeve - Sleeper - with her little hands, I glared at Miguel before I grabbed Gabriella's Hand and started walking to the gate, we were halfway there when something connected to the back of Sleeper and yanked me back with a powerful force; pulling me away from my sister and sending me crashing to a tree. I heard Gabriella scream and opened my eyes to see O'Hara picking up my sister and swinging away. I quickly rose to y feet and webbed after them. There's no way in hell I'm going to let him get away with my sister and ruin my life again! This world is mine! Gabriella is my sister!! I am this world's protector! I shall protect it with everthing I have.

Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Little Match Maker
Summary: Your life motto is “I have the power of god and anime on my side, don’t mess with me,” and you stand by that with your life. No human, magician, or random creature could ever stop your firm belief in it.
However, getting transported to this world that seemed to turn your already bad luck worse was not what you wanted to be in your life story, but you made the most of it. Making friends, enemies, and disasters, you were in your prime in this world, and so you decided to help as many people as you could flourish, at least what you believed to be.
Prologue 14-18: i have the power of god and anime on my side
Chapter Summary: So a normal anime battle, right?
Warnings: Curse words, kinda jokes about death
Words: 3.4k
Relationships: developing but future twstxreader
Walking through the mirror portal was like walking through a fever dream on drugs: directions weren’t a thing and every color was being blasted through your eyelids into your eyes and once you opened them because the colors calmed down, you think you saw a talking cat who smiled and waved at you in there.
All three of you with Grim on your hip stumbled out of the portal to this new forest area.
Problem with the forest was nothing was moving. No noises from birds. No wind blowing the trees. No crunch of the leaves on the ground by any animals. No footsteps. Nothing.
Your eyes surveyed the land and only found the forest deserted. Even the little cabin in front of you did not look like it had been touched in years. There were holes in the roof and cobwebs all over the house. And there were no lights on in the entire house.
You and the color duo had the same thought and locked eye contact with a cringe on each of your faces, absolutely not ready for anything.
So you began your journey with Red in front of you and Blue behind.
Blue looked around the forest, and then looked back to you and Grim, “So this is Dwarf’s Mine...It used to be prosperous, thanks to magic crystal mining but…”
Grim spoke up, “Uuuuhh.. Feels like something could jump out…” and slipped further into your arms.
You held on a little tighter to your cat and voiced your opinion, “Feels like someone died or something... “ You paused and decided to get this moment over with, “What are your names again? Like full name…”
Red just rolled his eyes and turned to face you, “Are you actually kidding me? You're such a dumbass…” He rolled his eyes and faced forward and continued to move forward to only mutter, “Ace Trappola, loser.”
Deuce pulled up by your side and sympathized with your struggles, “It’s okay. I’m Deuce Spade,” and he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand, “I’m not really good with names either, and I have to ask all the time.” A small smile appeared on his face.
Ace grabbed back your attention while announcing his founding of the house you already knew about, “Oh, there's a house back there. Let's go ask them about the mine”a
You were not for this, “You sure that house isn’t haunted. I’m not okay with going into a haunted house and dying with people I’ve barely met.”
Ace was not in the mood and twisted his head to stick out his tongue at you, “Shut it, dumbass.”
You four finally got to the door of the cottage or cabin, and you realized that the cottages looked a lot like the Dwarf’s House in Snow White which you really should have put together when Deuce called the area the ‘Dwarf’s Mine.’
Once all three of you stopped at the door, Ace, the genius he is, decided to knock on the door as if anyone would answer. He even called out to those inside, “Good evening..” until he realized that no one was home, “I guess it’s abandoned …” Then, his next great idea was going inside which totally is not a crime of breaking in and entering, “It’s a mess in here.”
Grim jumped out of your arms to get into the cottage and began his exploration which landed him right in a spider web where he spit out pieces onto the floor,“ Puwah! I got a spider web in my face.. Peh! Peh!”
Ace moved over to the table, “Aren't the tables and chairs on the small side? Are they for kids? One, two... There's seven! So many!”
“I don’t know about you, but I think that dwarfs might have lived here,” You had to make a sarcastic remark at his lack of judgement.
But of course none of them heard you or acknowledged you until a light bulb flashed over Deuce’s head while he brought up something similar to you,“This was probably a lively home when Dwarfs' Mine flourished.”
Your face fell while you could only shake your head at the audacity (of this bitch), look away from him, and mutter, “Well, no shit, sherlock.”
Ace brought your attention back to the task at hand, “They did what they had to. After all, magic crystals are found inside coal. For now, let's go check it out.“
And so all three of you ventured out of the cottage into the forest. Heading through the forest, you discovered something when looking at the sky: The Neverland Star was in the sky. You had to ponder for a minute if what if you actually were in a world where all things that happened in Disney Movies existed. You pushed that aside the moment you thought of it and laughed because ‘Naw, there’s no way that could happen and certainly not to you. You weren’t some Y/N from a fanfic where their parents sold them to Harry Styles.’
The more you followed the terrible forest path the less the path could be seen; years of no use made the path basically nonexistent. But the mine was the worst: broken pieces of wood and metal were thrown about like it something happened when it was closed, grass was growing from the train tracks, and not a single forest creature was in sight.
Grim studied the vibe for a minute and freaked out, “W-we're gonna go in that pitch black cave!?” He could only cling back onto your cloak for protection as if you could protect even yourself.
“Scared? Lame.” Ace rolled his eyes and emerged first from the four of you in horror at the mine.
Grim threw your cloak back in your direction and crossed his arms, “Naaanh!? I'm not s-scared at all! I'm taking the lead! You guys, follow me!“ Grim pranced to get in front of the three of you and entered the mine.
Everything was going well until two ghosts emerged from within the mine, creating chaos from the four of you.
The ghost’s could only reply to your chaos with, “Heeee hee hee! Our first visitor in ten years!” from one and, “Make yourselves at home. For eternity!” from another.
And all three of you raced away from the ghosts.
Ace could not help but panic, “This place is haunted with ghosts, too!”
Deuce tried to handle the situation, “We don't have time to deal with them one by one. Let's go!”
But Ace is Ace, “Don't think you can just order me around. If you hadn't done something so idiotic, we wouldn't be in this mess.“
“You wanna talk about who started it? It's cause you wouldn't clean!”
“It started when that furball burned the Queen of Hearts' statue!"
Grim tried to save his dignity, “Ffgna! That's what you get for making a fool outta me!”
Deuce set the objective again to the two idiots, “All of you! Do you understand our situation right now? We're all expelled if we don't get back with a magic crystal by tomorrow morning!”
You just couldn’t stand the arguing of these boys. They were worse than children arguing over a favorite toy.
Ace flicked his hand at Deuce and voiced his attitude, “So stop patronizing me. It's really ticking me off.”
“Will you all just shut up and run? Is it that hard to comprehend in your tiny brains that this is a situation where we could all I don't know..d i e? Either get your asses out of here and follow me or I’ll leave you in here.” You grabbed Grim and put him back on your hip.
“...on’t….ive….wo....” A ghastly voice spoke from far in front of your group.
Everyone jumped.
Ace peered around the cave only stopping to lock his frantic gaze onto yours, “W-who said that...”
“St...one....sssss.....mine..” The voice murmured.
“I think it's... getting closer…” Deuce whispered-yelled at you.
“Stone.... IS MIIIIIIIIIIINNNEEEE!!” A creature with a broken glass head with tar or a substance like gasoline leaking out of the broken area. The creature had a red coat with a belt and a brown hat on top of its broken glass head.
All three of you jumped with wide eyes and open mouths and screeched, “I-It's heeeeeeeeeeeree!!!!”
You with Grim in your arms, Deuce, and Ace all scrambled to get out of the cave with the monster, pushing and shoving the others to get out of the way and get through. You ended up tripping on a rock
A new section of the cave came into view while the monster was still chasing after your group. And even after you three sprinted through the cave, you did not stop until the monster’s footsteps could not be heard from behind you.
You three came to a halt and you let Grim stand up in order for you to place your hands on your knees so that you could take a break and breathe after the run you just had. The other two boys followed your same form and let out large puffs of air.
Deuce stood back up while still exhaling air, “What the heck is that thing?!”
Grim clutched your cloak as he hid under it this time, “Ffgnaaaaaaa!!” He almost pulled your pants down, “Crowley didn't say anything about that!! Let's get outta here!” He tugged your cloak in the opposite direction of the cave.
Ace fixed himself and thought out loud, “It’s so nasty,” but he placed his hand on his chin and finished with, “But didn't it mention a 'stone'!?” He did peace signs and moved his fingers up and down to signify he was quoting the beast.
Grim’s mouth flew open wide while he voiced his opinion of the monster with a solid, “Eehh??”
He was lost in his confusion until the monster appeared behind him again, “St....one, won't....give...!” The monster seemed pretty strung up about this stone which made you pause for a minute and think. Why is this monster here in the first place? And why does this monster need this stone? Is it like its source of magic like the chandelier or something?
Deuce had a cry of “Eureka!” by proclaiming about the magic crystals, “So there really are magic crystals left!”
Grim’s response was plain, “N-n-n-n-n-nope! Nope! I'm a genius, but I can't beat that thing!” He was still clutching onto your cloak while pointing at the monster.
Deuce curled his fist up, “But we'll be expelled without it.. I'm going!” and he threw it up in the air.
Ace’s wide eyes locked with yours, “You’ve gotta be kidding!?”
“Well, if we are gonna do this and get this stone, we gotta do this right.” You threw your hands on your hips and your lips twitched up.
Deuce now had both of his hands in fists while proclaiming, “I cannot, under any circumstances, be expelled!”
The monster was not hearing any of it, “Leave! Leave!! Leeeeeaave!!!”
And so the three and the monsters began to fight. Grim had to jump out of his hiding spot, and he would spit fire at the monster every couple of steps that the monster was taking. Ace and Deuce kept hitting the monster with common attacks that they knew. But you realized something sooner than they did.
So you yelled at them, “Idiots, nothing is working. Get your butts out of here if you want to live!”
They, of course, would not listen to you and continued to fire their attacks at the monster, and even when Grim noticed the attacks weren’t working and informed the others with a “I-It's not working at all!” they still continued to fight.
It was only when you found a sparkly light at the end of the tunnel did your scream of “Dudes, there is a crystal thing here!” spurred them to listen to you.
Ace turned and found the crystal just as you did, “Behind that thing! At the end of the tunnel, something...”
Deuce nodded, “That light, is it a magic crystal!?”
And once the monster hollered at the group of you again about how he “WON’T GIVE” your group the crystal, you made the assumption that there was at least one crystal left.
Grim turned back to you and called for the others to get out of the mine as soon as possible because there was no way they were gonna win now.
You grabbed Grim once he made grabby hands at you and started to dash down the mine in the opposite direction of the creature.
You three ended up making it back to the little cottage before you stopped.
Grim panted even though he was on your hip the entire time, “Is this far enough?”
Ace was still stupefied, “Ooooww.. What in the world was that? No one said anything about that!”
Deuce was also lost in confusion, “It didn't seem like any old ghost.”
Ace sighed in defeat, “Let's give up and go home. I'd rather get expelled than fight that thing.”
Deuce looked incredulously at Ace, “Wha!? Don't screw with me! I'd rather die than face expulsion! There's a magic crystal in front of us and you wanna go home!” Deuce gripped Ace’s collar and pulled the boy in front of his face.
Ace scoffed, “Ha. You talk big for someone worse at magic than me. Go alone if you want. I'm done.” Ace pushed Deuce’s hands off of him and started walking away from the direction of the mine.
Deuce snapped, “Oooh, that right? Then stay right there cowering like a spineless coward!”
Ace’s face swiveled around, “Huuuuh?? Coward?? Who exactly are you talking about?”
Grim’s hands tigented around your shirt, “U-uuuh... Deuce. Did you switch up your character?” His head tilted to the side.
Deuce coughed, “Huh! A-ahem! My bad. I lost my composure a bit.”
You decided that if any time is good, now is the perfect time for your opinion, “Okay dudes, let’s use what we have. We know that magic can help us in this situation, but being a dumbass won’t. All three of you need to actually use your brains and remember that you don’t have to do this alone.” You placed your hand on your chin, “If one magic alone does not work with our level, maybe magic combined could work. There is always the power of friendship if we really need it.”
Ace’s eyes narrowed in either disgust or confusion, “Well, yeah we can only do small stuff that we are good at. That’s why we have schools for magic, so that we can practice a lot to use magic just as it comes to mind. You’ll screw up if you lose your cool.”
Your eyes sparkled, “So what you are saying is I’m right and that we do need to work together as you are all inexperienced magicians that can barely do anything!” This was just what you needed.
Ace continued and ignored you, “Shut up. Stuff you're good at, you can go off instinct.”
Deuce voiced his decisions, “At any rate, I'm going in there. I'll figure out how to beat that thing and come back with a magic crystal.”
Ace rolled his eyes at Deuce, “However, judging by the chandelier incident, you're a complete idiot. You couldn't land a single hit earlier, but now you'll 'figure it out'? It's going to end the same.”
Deuce’s eyes narrowed at Ace, “Come again!? You think…”
Grim tugged on your cloak to get your attention, “Here they go again. Can you stop it?”
A sigh came out of your mouth to launch you into your rant, “Will both of you put your dicks away and calm down? For Pete’s Sake, I really thought your brains would be bigger than your dick, but now I’m just assuming that your brain is nonexistent…” Your hand ran through your hair, “Please, I beg for you to listen to me for one second. Get your head out of your ass and realize that you, all of you, need to work together as a team and think with your heads to defeat this monster. Capiche?” You closed your eyes and smiled as wide as you could.
Both of the students looked at you like you just told them that the world would end, and ended up yelping after their eyes met yours.
Grim covered his ears with his paws, “Waah. Why are you shouting all of the sudden?”
You opened your eyes and obtained a resting bitch face, “Either you suck it up and realize that you can’t do anything alone or you can go try again and maybe you’ll have a good short death.” Your smile appeared back on your face.
Deuce deflated, “Guuhh... B-but... What exactly should we do?”
“We have to have a plan for this to work,” You knew you had to put your head together.
Ace still had disgust in his eyes, “Strategy? You mean get along and work together. Ha! That's cold. You have no problem saying lame things with a serious face, huh.”
Deuce bobbed his head, “Disagreed. No way I'm working with this loser.”
Grim shook his head, “But... I feel like it's way lamer to get expelled on the first day of school.”
Ace stuttered, “U-uh, that’s…”
Deuce stared at his shoes.
“So, are you finally gonna listen to me?” You smiled and ran your hand through your hair.
Ace groaned, “....haaaahh.. Fine! We just have to get it done, right! So, what's your plan?”
And all three of you then had a discussion about what you were going to do to defeat the monster. Neither of the males had any ideas, so it depended all on your ideas. Later, you three ended up at the opening of the mine with confident looks on your faces, empty stomachs, and worn out bodies.
Grim, shaking next to you and gripping the end of your cloak, gazed up into your eyes, “You... really think it'll go as planned? I'm sca... no, just nervous.”
“Hey, Grim,” You pet the top of his head right next to his ears, “Nothing bad will happen to us. You just have to believe in yourself and everyone else.”
Ace slapped you back, “Haha, you're too stiff. Just go with the flow. Let's get this over with!”
All three of you strutted into the mine as if you knew what you were doing, but you didn’t.
Grim jumped in front of you and waved his arms all around, “Hey, beasty! O-o-o-over here!”
The monster ended up sprinting at you which makes sense because before it ran at you, you cupped your mouth and yelled, “Hey, whore, bet you never passed elementary school!” And then stuck out your tongue at the monster.
Grim sprung up and went in the opposite direction you did screaming, “Gah! It’s coming!”
While you tried to doge the monster, the monster growled, “Grrr!There... thief... too. Won't give... Mine... Mine!!”
The monster’s growls and shrieks soon turned into wails and cries. You paused your run to observe the monster who was in the middle of fighting Ace and Deuce because Ace decided to punch the monster in the monster’s face of glass. (Grim ended up cheering at Ace’s punch) This monster you had now learned was not mad at you but was probably attached to the mine and especially to the crystal with how the monster’s screams turned to cries.
(‘Great character analysis!’ You thought while patting yourself on the back.)
You surveyed the outfit of the monster once more, and you learned that it was much more familiar than you thought.
A light bulb went off in your head because the outfit looks like one of the seven dwarfs outfits, and, of course, now when you need it you forgot what they all look like.
You had to get everyone’s attention, especially the monster’s, “Hey hey hey! I’m gonna steal the crystal if you don’t run after me!”
The monster stomped after you out of the mine and into a big meadow roaring, “Go away! Go away!!!”
And with a wave of your hand, the three magicians in your group did a grand attack. All of them were yelling their movies like basic anime heroes.
(‘Am I in an anime?’ flew through your mind for a second, but your slowly pushed it down)
You knew that this was your only chance because the monster was stuck in all of their attack, “I’ll go get it, don’t worry!”
The three of them high fified and talked a little bit about how just amazing their combined attack was. You were spirinting into the mine, tripping on some of the rocks and slipping on a puddle of muck from the monster. The crystal slowly came into view and you went in that direction.
Large, booming footsteps were heard from behind you causing you to circle around to the noise and find not only the monster racing toward you but your idiotic boys following after it.
Ace hollered at you, “Watch Out!”
The monster even though the boys were still attacking it ignored everything and sprinted straight for you and the crystal.
You had to jam your hands into the rocks surrounding the crystal and pull as hard as you can which honestly was not a lot. Your hands were soon donned with scraps and cuts from the rocks surrounding it, and finally after using a piece of metal from the train tracks behind you, you got out the crystal with the monster not on your ass but almost.
When the monster locked sight onto the crystal in your hand, a sickening screech flew through the air, “Hands ooooofffffffff!!”
Deuce, Ace, and Grim all began panicking and trying to find out what to do by actually asking each other.
However, your biggest priority was to get out of the monster’s range, so you had to do something that could get you killed possibly.
(At least unless you wanted to go deeper into the mine which honestly was a worse idea than facing the monster in front of you).
The monster could almost reach out and grab you now so you performed your amazing save: you kneeled to the ground as the monster was still running at you causing the monster to trip and fly right over you into a wall of rocks. Since the monster was now a little caught up, you stood up and rushed to get the boys who you pulled by their sleeves as they were still arguing and forced them to follow you out of the mine once and for all.
Grim surveyed your hand and ordered the others, “We got the magic crystal! Let’s skedaddle!”
Ace looked back at the monster, sighed, then turned to Grim, and shouted, “Roger!”
The monster ended up gaining focus quicker than you expected because it appeared right behind you as the exit to the cave came in sight.
Ace incredulously gazed at the monster, “You're kidding!? It knocked off all that stuff and came after us!”
Deuce cursed and then remarks, “Shoot, it’s gonna catch up to us!”
You noticed that the monster did not stop even when all of you were close to the cottage in the woods, and you knew that it was because the monster is dead set on getting the crystal out of your hands, “There’s no way it’s gonna let us go. Either we end this now or die trying, so let’s go.” You halted your run and faced the monster with your fists in the air.
Ace sighed, “Aaah, fine! Let's finish it! Don't let me down, Mr. Serious!”
Deuce's eyes flicked to yours and then Ace, “You too.”
Grim jumped in front of you, “I’ll show off my true power!”
All three of them ended up using their magic together to defeat the monster, and even though they all came out of the battle close to dead they still cheered and celebrated with each other with shouts and highfives.
A breath of relief passed your lips, “Now this is when you confess your love for each other?” You locked eyes with first Ace and Deuce.
“Knock it off!” Ace and Deuce yelped at you.
It seemed they have become so much in sync that they are even imitating each other.
Deuce continued with red cheeks, “...Ah. N-no. This is nothing like that!”
Ace added, rubbing the back of his neck, “Y-yeah, yeah! Could you stop saying weird things?”
Grim puffed out his chest and bloated, “W-we won, thanks to my genius!...It's not because we pooled our strength!”
You turned to Ace and shook your head causing Ace to run his hand through his hair and frown, “...I guess making excuses is pretty lame. I hate to admit it but we won thanks to your plan.”
Deuce slowly nodded, “... True. We got the magic crystal because you gave us level headed instructions. We can prevent our expulsion this way. ... I'm so relieved.”
You smiled at the two, “Everyone did their part, and now we can finally relax.”
Ace finished it off, “Yeah, yeah. We're all relieved. And seriously worn-out and battered. Let's go home.”
Grim pulled your coat and remarked how starving he was, but all you could think about was a change of clothes and a bath, so him eating a black crystal or whatever did not really bother you, not even when the other two boys were yelling at him not to.
Deuce let out a cheer of excitement and a breath of plain exhaustion, “Switching gears, let's get this magic crystal to the headmaster!”
Everything was finally going your way. For now.

Whoops! Wrong Way 3/8
Summary: Peter has been living at Avengers Tower for 2 years, known to the workers and Avengers as Peter Parker-Stark-Rogers.  When his teacher announces that they're going on a field trip to Avengers Tower, or SI,  he's going to have to attempt to survive a day of embarrassment and keeping a secret identity.
Words: 2023
And here it was, the day of his death. The day of his misery. The day all his worst nightmares would come true. Friday... the field trip.
He had done all he could to convince each and every avenger to not mess with him. He got positive answers from Bruce, Steve, and Thor. However, he was going to have to deal with the rest in any way he could. He had tried to figure out their plan, knowing that they stayed up at night to plan his demise. However, he couldn't figure out a single thing. He had the bright idea to try and figure out what they were doing when he arrived by asking FRIDAY but until then he was doomed.
Tony woke him up an extra 30 minutes earlier than he usually did, not wanting Peter to be late for the field trip. The only good thing he had gotten out of it was that Bucky and Steve had gotten up early too to cook him a smorgasbord of food. He quickly scarfed down enough food to last him the beginning of the day before changing into his outfit and meeting Happy downstairs to get a ride to school.
Somehow, despite getting up early and getting a ride with Happy instead of walking, he was almost late. Almost. He made sure to spend extra long eating his food in hope that he would miss the bus and the school would just make him attend normal classes. Unfortunately, he was just in time to get on the bus and clamber to the back where Ned and MJ were sitting. Sadly, Flash wasn't too far from them either which made the ride to the tower, which he had planned on spending sulking and dying inside, worse.
Flash spent the entirety of the bus ride making jokes of Peter and insulting him. Most of them were intern-related, reminding Peter how he "didn't have an actual internship at Stark Industries" and "wasn't even smart enough to get an internship even at McDonalds". Luckily, before Peter knew it, they had arrived at the tower and the teacher was trying to keep them quiet so he could go check them in and make sure everything was ready.
Then, he got them out of the bus and lined them up in the lobby of the tower for their tour guide to explain the rules to them and hand out their badges. "Alright everyone. I'm Mars and I'm going to be your tour guide today. First, I know you all signed NDA's so please remember anything that happens in this tower that could be secretive you will be forced not to tell anyone or risk getting sued and, let me tell you, we have some very good lawyers. Speaking of the NDA, we are also going to have to confiscate your phones so we don't have you taking pictures or recording things. So I'm going to come by and hold out a basket I expect you to all place your phones in." Mars began walking down the row of children, having them all drop their phones in. when he got to the back where Ned, Peter, and MJ were, he just smiled at them and walked away, having already recognized them and knew that they were authorized to have their phones. Then, he returned to the front of the line where he placed the basket on the counter of the security desk and resumed his place at the front of the line.
"Now, first up on our tour is the Avengers museum. There are all of the first, fails, and worthy achievements of the Avengers. Everything from suits to fun facts can be found there. You will have 45 minutes to wander around before we head up to the intern labs so no dilly-dallying. However, first you're going to have to go through these scanners and scan your badge. For example..." Mars walks to the metal archway and scans his lanyard on the scanner before stepping through. The voice of FRIDAY spooks everyone except for Mars, Peter, MJ, and Ned, "Mars Bars, level 4, access limited."
"What the heck was that?" Cindy asks.
"That was FRIDAY. She's an AI that Tony built, she basically runs this building. But, back on track. Who's next?"
"Me!" Flash shouts, pushing his way to the front and scanning his lanyard before walking through, smug and confident that he was first.
"Eugene Thompson, Level 1, access very limited."
Flash smirks at his name being said by something that Tony Stark created. He walks forward to stand next to Mars while his next classmate goes. One by one, each of the students scan and walk through for Friday to announce their name and the same level and access type. Up until it was MJ's turn. She did the same as all of her other classmates, scanning her lanyard and then stepping through the metal archway but this time FRIDAY announces, "Michelle Jones, "Boss Girl" level 9, full access. Should I alert Scary Girl or Ms. Potts of your arrival?"
"No, that's okay FRIDAY. I'm on a field trip."
"Okay, have a good time." FRIDAY responds, causing everyone to stare at MJ in surprise. She just smirked before returning to her normal glare and stepped into the cluster of kids. Next was Ned, "Ned Leeds, "that one annoying hacker kid" level 9, full access. Shall I alert Science Bro #2 of your arrival?"
"No, FRIDAY. Bruce knows I'm on a field trip. Thanks though."
"Enjoy your time." FRIDAY answers.
Same procedure. The entire class stares at Ned in wonder and confusion. He blushes in response to the sudden attention and takes his spot in the cluster next to MJ. Last in line was Peter. He had been fearing this moment, knowing that he had the highest level in the tower, next to the other Avengers. Plus his nickname from Tony and Clint was sure to cause some questions to arise. However, dutifully, he stepped up and scanned his lanyard and stepped through. "Peter Parker, "Mini-Stark" level 10, full access. Would you like me to alert Mr. Stark of your arrival?"
"No! I mean... no that's alright FRIDAY. He probably knows I'm here anyways."
"Enjoy your trip, Peter."
He inwardly groans at the fact that she called him Mini-Stark, but was happy she had called him Peter Parker, rather than Peter Parker-Stark-Rogers. Tony must have cared somewhat of Peter's confidentiality if he changed that. He ignores the stares from his classmates and the smirk from Mars as he joins MJ and Ned in the middle of the group. "Alright, continuing with the tour if you will all join me in this elevator we will go up to the Avengers museum,"
While they all walk over to the elevator and begin piling into the cramped space. When Peter's in, Mars asks FRIDAY to take them up to the 12th floor where the Avengers museum was. Flash leans over and whispers into Peter's ear, "hey, Penis, how'd you manage to hack the AI to make it seem like you and your nerd friends have such a high access? We all know you're lying so just give up." Peter sighs and doesn't say anything, opting to move out of reach of Flash so that MJ is blocking them.
A/N:
For the sake of my sanity let's assume it's a big and strong elevator that holds all like 25-30 of his class okay? Thanks y'all
The door opens to the museum and the class spills out and begins exploring all of the corners of the museum. Each section was dedicated to a specific Avenger. The kids who wanted a more in depth explanation of things stayed by Mars who was walking around and giving his little "tour guide spiel" about the museum. Peter, MJ, and Ned, who had already explored the museum many times, walked around leisurely to explore different things that appeared to have been updated since the last time they were here.
At one point, Ned dragged Peter excitedly to a new section where Tony had added in a Spider-Man section. Peter observed the information happily...
" 1. Spider-Man prefers hanging from the wall than standing on the floor
2. Spider-Man's favorite snack is gummies.
3. Spider-Man is deathly afraid of spiders. "
"Dude, you're afraid of spiders? How?"
"First of all, shut it. Second, just because I have spider-like powers doesn't mean I like the creature. They're freaky."
Ned just laughs and continues to explore the exhibit. Peter looks over the things and makes a mental note to thank his dads later. The things included in it were incredible, a plaque with the phrase, "with great power comes great responsibility." And referencing his Uncle Ben. His first suit was also in a display case along with some of his old web fluid and a physical design of his webs that wouldn't disintegrate.
Suddenly, he felt an eerie presence provided by his Spidey Sense. He looked around the room, trying to detect where the threat warning could be coming from. Flash and his goons were all in a different section so it definitely wasn't them. And no one else was really around that could be threatening. Just then, he got a warning that someone was going to be coming out of the vents in 3... 2... 1... he stepped out of the way just in time to watch Clint fall out of the vents and crumple onto the ground. Then he jumps right up as if nothing had happened and smiles at Peter. (A/N: Clint was the imposter)
"Clint what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to embarrass you. But also Bucky made cookies this morning and Morgan threatened to take away my venting privileges if I didn't bring any to you."
"And you got scared of a 6 year old because... why?"
"She's scary. Also she has Wanda and Pepper on her side."
"Ooh, yeah. You'd better watch out for that. But, Bucky made cookies? Gimme."
Clint grins and reaches into his pocket to grab a cookie that's wrapped in a plastic bag. It's a triple chocolate cookie with extra chocolate chunks. The cookie is still warm so Peter can only assume it came out of the oven moments before. He takes a bite into it and it almost melts in his mouth. He lets out a sigh of comfort and tucks the cookie, in the plastic bag, into his pocket.
By this time someone had noticed that The Hawkeye was here and had shouted to the rest of the group. A crowd had gathered around him and were all shouting questions.
"What's your favorite thing about being an Avenger?"
"Whos' the scariest Avenger?"
"How do you know Pen- Peter?"
Peter cringes at the last one. He's sure Clint hears it and his suspicions are only confirmed when Clint's casual smile disappears and he turns to glare at Flash. "What did you call Peter?"
"I- uh.. I called him Peter, sir."
"Is that right? Mmh... you better watch yourself kid. And you'll have time to ask questions at the Q & A at the end of the tour with some of the other Avengers."
"Uh... Q & A? That's not on the list of things to do." Mars comments, having migrated over to where the crowd of kids had formed.
"One of your co-workers will inform you of the change in schedule during lunch. Don't worry, it was pre-approved by Tony."
"Mr. Stark? Oh, well... okay cool. Anyways, I think it's time Mr. Barton has to go. After all, we have to continue on with our tour as our 45 minutes are up. Everyone say bye to him."
A majority of goodbyes are shouted out, along with quite a few phone numbers. Clint gives them a mock salute before jumping back in the vents and crawling off to who knows where. Peter only calms down when his heightened senses are no-longer able to hear Clint clambering through the vents. Mars leads them all into the elevator and the doors slide shut, taking them up to their next destination, the intern labs.

You have got to be joking (Part 1)
It was like grasping at fucking straws. You were done with a huff you threw yourself back into your seat on the couch next to Buck who was still arguing with Thor.
"That doesn't make any sense, I know many witches and warlocks and I don't think that they get letters and go to a school. I-Is that true, Y/n?" You rolled your eyes before declining. No. You didn't go to Hogwarts.
"Yeah- but instead of that she had to cut off a dolphin tail as a sacrifice to the witch gods." Steve chuckled as he sat back looking at Thor's horrified face.
"No! I didn't cut-"
"It was a baby's foot. I forgot." You cursed Sam as Thor looked at you like you had just- killed a baby. Dear god.
"You mortals should go to insane asylums." You seconded that as You threw a pillow at Sam who gave you a crooked grin in which you returned with a finger up to the sky.
We weren't even more than 5 more minutes until the next fight broke out between well- between you and Thor.
You being your lazy self used your telekinesis to get the Pop-tarts that were on the kitchen counter, but you didn't know that Peter Parker and Tony were in there scared to shit at the floating box that went into the room next to him.
Looking inside of it you had a murderous look on your face as you looked to the god who had a shit eating  grin on his face.
"Thor. You ate all of the mother FUCKING POP-TARTS AG-" You screeched to the overgrown baby god across from you before Steve cut you off.
"Language, Y/N." You looked incredulously over to your Uncle as he gave you a sparkling smile knowing that you were going out of your mind.
"I'm going to set you on fire. I swear to GOD." What set you off was looking into his hand as he opened a pack of them shoving half of it into his mouth with a cheeky grin.
Sparing a quick glance to Steve who nodded you used your powers to send the shield that was sitting in front of him and sent it straight for the head of the all mighty Thor Odinson, it made a huge wack and the God rubbed his head. All he did was mouth something.
Run.
Booking it out of the room before Thor got out of his seat you but before you could get into the kitchen you were whipped over the shoulder of the God as you started to laugh.
"Y--Y/n?" You knew all too well that voice, you had known him for probably a good 3 years ever since you started to go to Midtown.
"Peter?" Thor set you down to face the man standing next to my father in which your father gave you a look of. You don't even know.
"How do you two know each other?"
"He goes to my school, I've talked about him before with you. Ned. MJ. Ring a bell." The flicker that went through Peter's face was unrecognizable but then it was gone.
"Really? Parker? He is a nerd and you- you are my daughter." For a second you almost forgot that Peter didn't know that you were Tony's daughter. But you sure as hell that he did right now.
"W-Wait. You're his daughter? You- have a daughter." Peter stuttered out as he looked between you and your father with a confused look.
"How do you know him?" You questioned back to your father hoping that there wasn't a freaky reason that your father knew the man you liked.
"Pete's the Spider-ling. I thought that Peter was some--gay best friend. You have straight guy friends." You looked incredulously to your nerdy close friend could be the friendly neighborhood spider-man. He looked over to your dad with the same confused look as he did.
"Damn, this is better than the movie." You turned over where Sam was sitting before using your powers to cause the remote in front of him to smack himself in the face.
"Whoa. Y/n- you just..."
"Ha, you owe me 5 dollars." Thor muttered to Bucky as he reluctantly handed over the five piece. No doubt making bets on me again.
"Technancy she got pissed off by Thor first so you owe me a five piece Buck." You looked incredulously over to Steve who had a slick grin on his face.
What you really wanted to say was that if they didn't shut up you were going to filet them like a McNugget but seeing as though you had a lot to discuss with Peter you went over to him tugging on his sleave.
"W-What are you doing, Y/n? Hey, You aren't going anywhere alone with him!" My dad asked me as I started to bring Peter over towards the elevator before walking into it.
"We need to discuss a few things, Dad."
"NO. WAIT. FRIDAY, cameras on my daughter alert me if Peter goes within a foot of her!" Before you could say anything else the door closed leaving you alone with a confused Peter.
You rose a finger to your lips waiting until you got onto your floor before tugging him into your main living quarters.
"SPIDER-MAN?" You questioned him incredulously.
"Y/N Stark?" He told you back, hardly showing any of the awkwardness that he showed around my father or in school because we were friends. He was used to you.
"Fair enough, but I was going to tell you. Were you going to tell me?" You questioned him seriously as he looked over to you giving you a sheepish grin.
"Of course I was. Remember Ned and you were coming over this weekend for a movie. Wait- if you don't want to come now-" You shushed him up by stomping on his foot in which he jumped back.
"Don't think I am going to leave you because you are sticky and like to climb walls." The relief and cheeky smile on his face made you grin even more.
"You have a poster of me in your bedroom." You giggled out before the look of fear crossed his face. God. He was never going to live that down. Ever since the first time you went to his apartment you saw the poster of Silver Shadow. Yourself.
"Ms. Stark, Mr. Odinson and Mr. Stark want me to remind you to get downstairs so that they can finish the movie. And that Mr. Parker is allowed as long as he can and I quote 'keep his webs to himself.'" The look of embarrassment on Peter's face made you bark out a laugh before nudging him towards the door.
This was going to be interesting.
