need to get back into doing watercolor paintings…..that was my favorite thing to do as a child i was obsessed w it but my mom would only let me do it sometimes she would put the watercolors in the high cabinet i couldn’t reach and i’d have to be like mom can i paint 🥺 stifling my creative spirit…..anyway i need to get back on that i don’t really like working w colors bc i can’t conceptualize mixing colors to create hues well but watercolor is easier bc u dont really have to mix paints and u can just get a pallet of paints rather than a bunch of individual ones and they blend better bc they’re so light ykwim….maybe i am disgracing watercolors by saying that but i feel like they are the only type of paint i could ever possibly work with 😩

#michelle speaks #there is a reason why i only pencil sketch bc i dont have to worry abt colors bc they confuse me 😩#i DID get oil pastels but i haven’t really sketched in a while bc of law school so i haven’t used them much #but i did get a color pencil blender so i’m hoping that makes it easier for me to use colors bc what i like so much abt pencils is that u #can blend them out to make shades & i dont have to mix anything to do that and what ive had trouble with w color pencils is that i cant #do that w them & that intimidates me. but point being i love painting but i’m bad at it but i think i would be better w watercolors……#i was ALWAYS a crayon girlie as a child tho. since my mom wouldn’t let me paint often. & i was always a color pencil hater #i was so good doing shading w a crayon….color pencils however…..they are too thick idk how to describe it. they don’t listen.
