No, you're not an unreasonable bitch for not wanting BuckTommy endgame but can we not pretend like the buddie fan's haven't been nasty themselves for people being excited over a canon queer ship for Buck?

BuckTommy fans have been called racist (with a lot being people of color, including me, a black woman), we've been mocked, we couldn't (it's gotten better now) be in the tommy tag without post after post calling him a stepping stone. Like, people who do multi-ship, we're suddenly made monsters because they've wanted to invest in something canon and be excited over it. Lou, was/is getting tons of hate.

Like, just as you said, we're suddenly fake fans because we want to enjoy a ship.

And it's never JUST been about being a woman, it's about being a obstacle to Buddie that got those fans hate! So, Lou/Tommy is not being spared the love interest hate because he's a man. And framing it like that ignores that BuckTaylor had a lot of fans, Ana had defends, Shanon had defenders. Like BuckTaylor fans were in the trenches and Taylor is most often used in fanfic's to be the bridge between Buck and Eddie, because she's a ~ cool ~ sexual ~ domme type persona. So, I'm not saying their love interest didn't get hate but let's not pretend they didn't have their defenders as well.

As BuckTommy fans are doing with that ship.

And can we PLEASE not pretend like we don't know a tons more about Tommy than we do Marisol? Before we found out she was a nun, we knew she liked DIY projects, she has a brother and she's a baby-sitter for Eddie when he needs it.

Tommy had a background character arc through Bobby, Chim and Hen begins. He know he was uncomfortable with the guys club in the fire-house but comfortable enough to put up with it. We know that he didn't open to knew people but was ready to admit he was an ass when Chim saved his life and through that we know his favorite movie is Love Actually and he likes craft beer and monster trucks. We know he was excited to see Hen at first but did a tempter check when his captain didn't take to her. We know he changed his ways when he when he saw Hen's skill. We're pretty sure that he, along with Chim submitted complaints about Captain G. We know in Bobby's story that he was close enough to go out for drinks with Hen and Chim. We know that when he talks about a girlfriend, he stumbles over confirming he actually has one. We know that because of what the 118 did to help change his life, he was willing to risk said life and job to help out Hen and Chim. And that's just some.

Marisol barely has anything and that's the different. And I'm someone that doesn't hate Marisol and loves Tommy. I think IF the writers cared enough, her having failed relationships once they partners find out she used to be a nun. And them having the reaction of Eddie or they start to fetishized her. I don't hate Marisol, I just don't care about her and I feel upset that they gave Eddie half-assed love interest when he had chemistry with Vanessa, if they wanted to go with anyone.

But let's not pretend that some people wanted to enjoy, gush and have with a relationship that Oliver is just as excited about and we were made to feel like we couldn't enjoy it.

Bit weird how all bucks and Eddie's female love interest got so much hate. Some deserved but MOST was so uncalled for!!

But the moment Buck kisses a man instead of a woman SUDDENLY we are fine with his love interest.

tubbo lore stream thoughts arranged in a vaguely linear format

so today's lore was incredible and I feel like I just got shot up with adrenaline I'm so excited for this development

just to be clear, I am fully on c!tubbo's side just because in my eyes, he can do no wrong, but I get c!quackity's argument and I don't think his actions were unjustified

but anyway, one of the things I noticed while watching was that the sticking point seemed to be the wall

(referring to dsmp characters from this point on unless otherwise stated)

There are a few times where Quackity and Tubbo almost get to an agreement, but then Quackity tells him that the wall around the outpost has to go, and Tubbo immediately backs out. While watching, I kind of thought this was such a small and kind of petty thing, on both sides, to get hung up about. But, based on my knowledge of c!Tubbo, this makes sense.

The outpost, as a whole, is pretty reckless. It started as something small, only meant to be a kind of "hidey hole" for Tubbo to keep an eye on Las Nevadas, but it quickly grew into a large, imposing structure with a lava gate. Anyone with half a brain and eyes could tell that it is more than an innocent cookie shop. This recklessness is indicative of his current priorities.

Tubbo is currently prioritizing security over safety.

Safety is the much more passive and peaceful route of the two. It involves staying out of war or conflict at pretty much any cost. This is very much the position that Tubbo carried during his presidency. President Tubbo would probably agree to take down the walls or to any one of Quackity's compromises, regardless of what he wanted. However, Tubbo lived through his presidency, saw what happened to New L'Manberg, and still holds a lot of guilt over his decisions during that time.

Security, on the other hand, deals more with preparing for the worst. One of the first examples of this attitude came in the form of the nukes, which Tubbo himself said were not necessarily meant to be used as weapons, but as deterrents to keep others from attacking him. The outpost also functions as an example of this because although it started as a small covert place, once Tubbo realized that it was too large he went full in on making it intimidating and adding walls and a lava gate. This idea of security is more assertive than that of safety and it keeps him from being pushed around much like he was during his presidency. However, it also comes at the cost of starting conflicts and jeopardizing his relationship with others, in this case, Quackity.

This focus on security is intriguing because this isn't the first time it's happened. During the Pogtopia arc, had Tubbo just gone with Tommy and Wilbur instead of staying in Manberg, he would have been 100% safer. However, he knew it was a better option to spy for Pogtopia to help get L'Manberg back, but it ended up costing him his life.

I think Tubbo has made this connection, either consciously or unconsciously, which is why he decided to tell Ranboo about the festival. Although, of course, Tubbo opening up had to come with a caveat, this time being the expectation that Ranboo wouldn't remember it (which is so in character for c!tubbo it hurts, cc!tubbo giving us consistent characterization my beloved /parasocial). But what I also find interesting about this moment is that although Tubbo makes it clear that he doesn't want Ranboo to remember his execution, he does tell him to take note of Quackity's involvement.

Tubbo is a very analytical and logical person, but he also represses his emotions, at points to an extreme degree. This can result in him only processing traumatic events in ways that he deems useful and shoving the rest to the side. A great example of this, again, is Snowchester and the nukes. L'Manberg was destroyed by Technoblade for being a government, so Tubbo made sure that Snowchester wouldn't be a government. The complete and total destruction of L'Manberg by Technoblade, Dream, and Philza caused Tubbo to develop the nukes to have some sort of protection. He looks at it in terms of problems and solutions. This is why he keeps expanding the outpost, why he built a wall. He's trying to fix problems and have more security. The way he sees it is the more intimidating he and Snowchester looks, the less likely people are to mess with him or it.

Unfortunately, now Quackity and Las Nevadas feel threatened, and I, for one, can't wait to see how this all turns out.

When you first met Steve, you couldn’t stand him...

No seriously, he was everything you could possibly hate about a person

Arrogant, annoying, an utter asshole......you get the idea

Unfortunately when Nancy (your best friend, and your brother’s friend’s sister) starts dating Steve, it means you have to see him more than you’d like to

When Nancy drags you to Steve’s party, you end up hanging out with Barb (poor Barb)

You’re 100% annoyed to be there

“You lost Henderson?”

Just when you thought he couldn’t be more of a douchebag.....he actually has the audacity to talk to you.....I mean, the nerve on that boy

Okay so that might be a little dramatic....but

No party is worth having to socialize with ‘King Steve’

He does not understand any of this argument whatsoever....he just wants to find Mike

This is when your relationship starts to change

Steve starts getting closer with Dustin and you can’t help it

Goddamn he just had to make you like him

You end up saving each other’s asses a few times when fighting the demogorgons

Dustin does the purring thing on his way out of the car

You cringe at him

Steve and Dustin both laugh

“That’s what I’ve been telling him.”

“Yeah yeah.”

Dustin points to the two of you

“Keep it pg 13. I really don’t want to come out here to see you two making out in the car.”

Steve blushes so much and you think it’s really cute

Making out with Steve definitely wouldn’t be so bad

Something More

While Dustin is at the snowball, you head back to your place

You put in a movie, make some popcorn, and plop yourself down on the couch

Steve lets out a loud sigh and wraps his arm around your shoulders

“Getting a little cozy there, Harrington?”

He blushes again and pull his arm back

“Sorry.”

“No no! I’m kidding! I liked it.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.”

He leans back and you two cuddle together

You snuggle together for a while, before Steve leans down and whispers in your ear...

“I really like you Henderson.”

You’re shocked

Especially after everything with Nancy

You never thought when you’d started this whole demogorgon shit show that you’d end up falling for Steve Harrington

But here you are....

“I like you too Harrington.”

You’re sitting quietly for a couple of minutes just taking each other in, when suddenly Steve breaks the silence

“Can I kiss you?”

You do a double take, but quickly get yourself composed again

You grin

“Yeah you dork. You can kiss me.”

Kissing Steve is like nothing you’ve ever experienced

Just a few months ago, you had hated him

And now you’re making out with him in your living room

It’s surreal and he’s really putting everything into it

You can feel how much he cares about you

“Steve.”

“(Y/n).”

That’s one of the first times either of you has used the other’s first name in a long time

You break apart at the same time

“Wow.”

He stares at you

“Yeah, wow.”

You make out for a while before going back to the movie, and cuddling some more.....this time a lot closer

You don’t mean to fall asleep, but it’s sooooo comfortable

I mean, Steve is just so warm and you can’t help it

Steve falls asleep next to you, you in his arms, a smile on both of your faces

A few hours later, your front door slams open

In walks an utterly annoyed Dustin Henderson

He trudges into the living room, his eyes trained on the floor

“I honestly cannot believe you two.” He yells without looking up.

When you don’t respond, he gets more frustrated

“Hey assholes! You forgot to pick me up.”

He finally looks up to see you curled into Steve, asleep on the couch

“Oh come on Harrington! Really, my sister?” He mumbles jokingly as he walks towards the stairs

Taking one last glance at the two of you, he grins noticing this opportunity

He runs up and grabs your camera, running back to you and Steve

Capturing a picture, he laughs

“Who knew my sister had more game than me?....”

Let’s just say, you and Steve never live that picture down
