BEING IN A POLY RELATIONSHIP WITH THANOS & NAM-GYU l headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing — thanos x reader x nam-gyu warnings — (mild) s2 spoilers. smut author’s note — i wrote some corny lyrics for this lol

thanos recruited you into his “team” because of his attraction to you. the rapper didn’t try to hide that he found you hot, and he made sure you knew it, throwing compliments your way. his flirting was over-the-top and shameless. he’d call you “senorita” or “babe” in a sing-song voice, leaning in close to make sure you couldn’t ignore him. his favourite move was to serenade you with cheesy raps that made everyone cringe.
one day, thanos sidles up to you, a wide, cocky-ass smirk plastered on his face. he’s got his hands on his hips, like he’s about to drop the hottest bars in the universe. “yo, senorita,” he starts, “you’re the queen of my world, can’t you see? ain’t no one gonna take my throne, you and me, together, baby, we’re destiny!” while nam-gyu, in the background, is rolling his eyes so hard he could probably see the back of his skull. but thanos keeps going, totally into it, “baby, we can rule the game, you and i, got them all thinking i’m the reason they’ll die. you’ll be my queen, i’ll be your king, together we’ll make this whole thing sing!” it’s a miracle you don’t combust from secondhand embarrassment.
nam-gyu, as thanos’s second-in-command, was pissed from the start. in the beginning, it seemed like he was just territorial—angry that you were disrupting the group dynamic. he’d throw side comments like, “oh, great, now we’ve got a distraction,” and give you cold, assessing looks. his irritation was obvious, especially when thanos started giving you preferential treatment, like sitting beside you during meals or casually throwing an arm over your shoulder during group talks.
he tried to act more “mature” than thanos (spoiler: he wasn’t). his idea of flirting was to act tough, which mostly involved bullying weaker players to look impressive. it was like watching a middle schooler try to flex for their crush. in reality, he just looks like an asshole, and you feel annoyed by his attempts to bully someone into submission to show off. he catches your disapproving glare and immediately tries to backtrack, but it just makes it worse.
thanos wasn’t subtle about his future plans for you. “after we win this thing, you’re coming with me,” he promised you confidently. “i’ll make you my official girl. the fans will eat it up—thanos and his queen.” he didn’t ask if you wanted that, just assumed you’d go along with it lol. nam-gyu, on the other hand, played dirtier. when thanos wasn’t around, he tried to plant seeds of doubt in your mind, leaning in to whisper confidentially. “he’s a scumbag, you know. all talk, no loyalty. don’t let him fool you,”
during meals, both of them insisted on sitting next to you, even if it meant practically wrestling each other to the ground. there were no tables, just groups eating near the bunk beds or stairs leading up to them, and you always ended up sandwiched between the two guys. thanos would slouch with his arm around your shoulders, smirking at anyone who looked your way. nam-gyu would mutter snide comments under his breath, low enough for you to hear, but not enough for thanos to notice.
then came the game “mingle,” where the players had to group up based on a random number announced over the PA system. when the voice said “two,” both thanos and nam-gyu grabbed your arm at the same time. “she’s going with me,” thanos barked, pulling you toward him. “what the fuck about me?” nam-gyu shot back, tugging you in the opposite direction. if it hadn’t been for se-mi, who quickly pulled you into a room with her (the two boys found a room next to you), the four of you would’ve fucking died.
the tension escalated at night. at first, both of them insisted on sleeping next to your bunk bed. but as time went on, they started fighting over who got to sleep in your bed. it started as bickering—“move, she doesn’t want you here,” nam-gyu would snap, trying to shove thanos aside. “speak for yourself, bro,” thanos would shoot back, climbing up anyway. it’s like a power struggle between two self-proclaimed alpha males, but it’s over you, which just feels awkward. each one tries to subtly imply their superiority by making the argument about who has the better “qualifications” to be your bunkmate. eventually, the rivalry reached its peak when they both tried to squeeze into your bed at the same time. you ended up stuck between them, neither willing to back down, and neither particularly caring how uncomfortable it made you.
despite the rivalry, the situation eventually settles into some sort of… equilibrium. neither thanos nor nam-gyu backed down completely, but they seemed to reach an unspoken agreement. the two of them started “sharing” you, like some fucked up custody arrangement.
you start to realise that maybe—just maybe—this unholy triangle might not be such a bad thing after all. meal time turned into a prelude for something else entirely. when everyone was distracted, one of them would catch your eye, silently signaling for you to follow. you’d find yourself slipping away to meet them in the bathroom stall.
thanos is all energy, and unable to shut up—being balls deep inside you, his dirty talk came easily, an endless stream of words that tumbled out in rapid succession, that had you equal parts flustered and irritated. especially with how careless he was. you’d have to kiss him just to silence him, pressing your lips to his until his words were replaced by muffled groans. whenever you grabbed his hair, his reaction was instant—a breathy whimper that only seemed to spur him on more. but almost as quickly as the sound left his lips, he was smirking, leaning in to tease you. “don’t mess it up, baby,” he’d warn, his voice playful yet smug. “this shit cost a lot to style.”
nam-gyu, in contrast, was rougher and far less interested in theatrics. he wasn’t one for words—far too focused to waste time on anything unnecessary. he had you pinned firmly against the partition wall, the cool surface digging into your back as beads of perspiration formed along his brow. the thin structure trembled violently under the sheer force of his movements, creaking with every thrust as though it might give way at any second. the silence between you was broken only by a few curses and grunts that escaped him.

My favorite Dork
Terry Richmond x Black!Fem reader
Part 2
__
Tumblr media
__
“Who that right there?” Your crossed eyes tried hard to focus on his extended finger as it pointed towards the tv screen. Head filled with little to no thoughts or answers that could save you from his incessant pounding into your pussy. If he could just ease up a little then maybe just maybe you could gargle out a answer, fuck it it it was the wrong one..you didn’t care.
Your eyes finally steadied enough for you to focus on the tall, pale, blonde animated character. A few names filtering through your pretty little head as he slowed his strokes enough for your toes to uncross and you became confident in your answer…perhaps too confident.
“Trevor..that’s Trevor” you breathe out quickly, hoping to impress him with your listening skills.
“Aww Peaches baby.. really wanted you to be right and prove me wrong. Guess you weren’t listening as well as I thought you were.” A faux pout came across his face and a mischievous glint in his eyes made your stomach flip.
“You know what happens to sluts that don’t listen…the ones that don’t retain information they were told to?” His heavy hand smacked your cheek just enough for your heavy eyes to widen. Your face heating up from the contact and your rising arousal.
Your shaking hands grip his arms as you shake underneath him, body preparing to release a violent gush of water onto him. You craved to be manhandled and flung about his spacious bed like a lifeless sex doll. To hell with anime…animation..animators. Fuck em all.
“Ouuu Peaches I felt that, give it to me. Because when you do we’re starting from the beginning..can’t have my baby out here not knowing her material, by the time I’m done with your sexy ass you’ll be speaking fluent Japanese.” Pillow soft thighs squeezed tight around his midsection and your pussy came like a geyser, pent up energy in the form of his favorite liquid.
“Bubby please.. I’m sorry I’ll be better just please..my pussy can’t take it.”
“You sure..looks like she can take it to me. Deep pussy swallowing up my dick just fine. My sweet peaches and her sweet pussy.” He pecked your forehead, quickly rubbing the back of your thighs.
“On your knees..I don’t want you to miss one second since you can’t seem to remember the names of characters I’ve been repeating for the last 40 minutes.”
Your sore limbs slowly but surely allowed your body to be molded into the newest position, your soft belly and breast resting on the cool sheets beneath you with your ass tooted up as high as he could get it. Playful slaps to your ass had you swallowing your spit. You wanted—needed that Sephora trip and your chances of winning looked slim.
“Ass so perfect and fat it belongs on an Anime..like look at this shit. I want this everyday..and everytime you deny me and act like you can’t take this dick, this pussy will pay the price for it.” A series of slaps to your pussy lips had you drooling, the slight sting coaxing forward more sticky liquid from you.
“Yesss bubby I wanna be better…just please fuck me now.” You sucked your thumb and sighed in content, eyes wet and waiting.
The opening title to Castlevania played loudly in the background as your cheeks bounced against his pelvis. He played with and gripped the flesh until you begged for more, then filled you to the hilt with his thick dick. The wet queefs battling against the volume of the tv as the animated characters battles against cruel priests and demons. In a way y’all were two of the same. You currently battled a hefty dick attached to a man with a sickening face card and a stroke that had you thinking sitting out for 9 months wasn’t too bad.
“Wanna try again Peaches…you want bubby to ease up on you hmm, take it easy on my princess?” He stroked the soft hairs at the nape of your neck almost putting you into a coma.
But you were going out like a bitch. And mama didn’t raise no punk, it was now or never. You had to get the next one right, a Sephora trip depended on it. And by the time he breathed out the next question to you like a freaky professor, you had the right answer plus a little more to throw him off his high horse. You made the mistake of calling the tall raven haired vampire fine and that earned you a pinch to your clit.
You fucked back onto him, shadows of your eager ass throwing playing out on the walls. He moaned and whimpered softly behind you, dick being squeezed and squished into your soaking pussy. You wanted a pretty, white creampie to decorate your pretty brown skin. You felt his hot breath on the back of your neck and his chest slick with perspiration as the effects of solid good pussy broke him down layer by layer.
You felt the sharp pain of his nails digging into your hips. The falter of his weakening strokes, the exasperated breaths…it all made you feel so empowered— so in charge. You could brag for days and shout out this victory from the fucking roof tops..who was scared of dick now?
“Just cum already…you know it’s a losing battle Bubby. Just succumb, you know you wanna paint this fat kitty…so just do it.” Hot warm spurts of cum littered your backside and trickled down to mingle with your own release. Satisfied sighs leaving both of your mouths and you were greedy to touch your lips to his again…to indulge in a kiss with your handsome faced loser.
Strong hands soothed your tense muscles and massaged your sore limbs back into their rightful place. A lone finger running along his abdomen, observing the purpling hickies you had sucked onto his skin over the course of the last hour and a half.
“Not gonna rub it in my face peaches…you got good sportsmanship all of a sudden?” His hands worked deeply into the balls of your feet, ocean eyes focusing on your pretty face.
“Mm would you prefer me to sweetface? You know I’d rather not do you dirty…I have something else in mind for you.” He threw you a suspicious glance and you simply lifted your pointer and middle fingers into a heart. He didn’t need to know about your extra terms and conditions to winning.
__
$216 dollars, two hefty bags of skincare, makeup, and perfumes. You cheesed and wiggled in the passenger seat back to Terry's place, you had run through Sephora like a kid in a candy store. No aisle or product was left untouched by you, you picked up your everyday items and a whole lot of new ones. Crossing them off of your long list of TikTok recommendations to try.
Now you had Terry seated in a chair, makeup products sprawled out in front of you. He sat arms folded as he looked up at you expectantly. Convincing him to sit here and be a test dummy for your new products took a lot of begging and the promise of a new pair of gaming headphones—though you didn’t care for all the yelling and hollering he did on that damn game.
“So you actually don’t need to fill yours in because they're naturally thick and bushy…but a little brow gel could really clean up these caterpillars.” Your thumb rested against his temple as you brushed his brow hair into a near perfect arch, the brow gel being just strong enough to handle his coarse hairs.
He was eager as ever to hop into the mirror and see what magic you had worked, a small smile forming on his lips before he caught your eyes and let it drop. You rolled your eyes and quickly pushed him back into his seat, popping open a brand new case of eye shadow you would be perfect for the spring. He sighed and held his head still per your request and shut his eyes. You let the small makeup brush dance softly over his closed lids, careful not to press too hard on the small blue veins on his lid.
“See the blue eyeshadow brings out your eyes Bubby…my handsome bestie. Baddest nigga I know.” The two of you shared hearty laughs before he pulled you into his lap.
“You done treating me like a lab rat yet..I’m due for a nap.” You pecked his juicy lips before pulling one more product into your hands. He pulled his head out of your grasp at the first glance of the shiny new tube of lipgloss.
“That's the one you had on earlier when you came..I like the way it tasted.” You nodded and took that info into your head or the future.
Clean uniformed brows, blue eyeshadow, and glossy plump lips decorated his beautifully sculpted face. He let you get a few pictures in before him stood to his full height and threw a strong arm around your waist.
“I love you yeah girl..my gorgeous, sexy, smart Peaches. You’re the bestest friend a person could ask for..but I don’t want to be friends with you anymore.”
Your face frowned up quickly and you tried to pull out of his grip. What the fuck was he talking about honestly, he had you fucked up and you would knock sense into his ass, buff or not.
“Wait..wait let me finish hot head. I don’t want to be friends with you anymore because I’m more interested in being your man..if you’ll let me.”
Oh? And this definitely wasn’t where you thought he was taking this, but you liked it. Loved it in fact. Tall, handsome, incredibly smart and nerdy, intellectual… you could go on. He made you feel safe and heard, saved you from bullies when the two of you were just kids, built you up so no one could ever deny you again…and above all else he loved you.
“You want me..in that way?” Just a little reassurance..just to hear him say it once more..just to make sure he wasn’t pranking you like the boys did when you were a teen.
“I want you in every way you’ll let me have you. I’ve stood by for too long watching unfit men attempt to snub out your light..you deserve to shine and be soft. Let me do that for you y/n.” You threw your arms around his neck, hot tears streaming down your face. You deserved this, trusted this..wouldn’t wanna do it with anyone else.
“You’re lucky you’re cute and convincing. I want this with you, I trust you to keep your word and do right by me because you've always done so.”
“I’ll do more than keep my word. I’ll show you how a real man courts a woman..show you why there’s nobody better than you out there for me. I love you Peaches.”
“Love you more nerd.”

my way
until it reaches the void state
(this will be a long post)
1. the end, the beginning.
Tumblr media
I knew about the law of attraction years ago thanks to social media, so there it was, like every day trying to manifest my desires.
I was fed up, every day was the same.
My heart healing and breaking everyday, the same cycle of hope and hopelessness continues.
was it always going to be like this?
would I always have to let fears take over me?
I couldn't trust, I didn't believe that just by believing I could get what I wanted but at the same time I had no other option.
I couldn't go on like this, I didn't want to go on like this, I just wanted to end my life, I gave up and cried, cried, cried thinking that this would be the end, that I wouldn't be able to be happy and that was it.
I gave up and thought I was resigned to living a shitty life.
But I cried so much that all the sadness that was in me came out, all the fears that were clinging to me came out.
That's when I felt peace, when I realized that no, I wasn't going to give up that easily, that I first have to do it and do it well, not keep trying.
So I persisted for only 2 days, as I already had my desire for that moment and yes, after 2 days my 3D had already reflected it, it was exciting.
did i reallt do that? was it just a coincidence?
No, it was really me.
I was happy for a few days until the fears returned but this time I was afraid of losing my desire, that's when I realized that fears have no meaning.
I already have it, why would I lose it?
2. I discovered Tumblr and the void state.
Tumblr media
I didn't know what void state was, but as soon as I read about it, it caught my attention.
By then my self-concept had improved, I was still dealing with my fears but not as much as before.
So, I made a friend who explained to me more about the void state and she told me that she manifested her house through the void state.
I got excited and hopeful, I read some methods on how to get in and tried to do it, but I couldn't.
I couldn't do it, the simple idea of getting everything so easily sounded easy and fantastical to me.
But one day I realized who I really am, that I am everything, that nothing and no one has power outside of me.
I was filled with satisfaction, joy, peace, I felt like laughing knowing who I am and how easy everything is.
How did I first enter the void state?
so I had a subliminal audio playing in the background while I was meditating.
I thought...I am so powerful, I am capable of anything, I can have whatever I want whenever I want.
At that time I was very sleepy because I had taken some exams, so I just thought "my physical body is going to sleep and rest and I'm going to the void state"
After all, the void state is me and there is nothing easier than being me.
And so it happened, I entered the void state and knew that I already had everything just as I wanted, then I came out and continued sleeping while I didn't stop smiling and feeling a sensation of peace and extreme happiness.
I woke up and stood calmly until I realized what had happened...
I was scared shitless when I realized that I had entered the void state for real and that at that moment I should have everything I wanted and that was when 3d reality disappeared before my eyes.
Everything began to collapse and I felt a huge current of energy running through my entire body, as if it were a waterfall flowing inside me.
I was very scared, I won't deny it, but after all I did it.
Tumblr media
(I swear that just as you see in the gif, that's how I felt at that moment)
The following days I couldn't stop shaking and feeling scared because I didn't understand how it was possible that 3D could disappear just like that.
Then I read someone here talking about non-dualism. @lotusmi
Then I understood my experience.
Since that day everything is much easier for me.
I have entered the void state 3 times.
that manifests?
.cure my depression.
.cure my anxiety.
.trust myself.
.longer eyelashes.
.my desired person in love with me.
.money.
.be able to manifest easily.
.prettiest voice.
.I am spoiled.
The rest of the things I manifest are more private.
But basically for me this is the best thing that could have happened to me.
I will mention who were the bloggers that I read to understand more about the void state and about who I really am.
@gorgeouslypink
@lotusmi
@beesfairlyland
@msperfect777
I will also mention a blogger whose information I also like and I find it cute.
@sugarplumfairy777

light as a feather // bf! rafe cameron
synopsis : you hesitant to ask your boyfriend to try a trend your friends show you, afraid of being too heavy, but he proves you wrong. mentions of insecurity.
Tumblr media
“have you seen this trend around, [name]?”
tilting her phone towards you so you can view the screen better, a tiktok compilation began to play.
it’s a compilation of various couples with pretty much the same thing, all the boyfriends lifting their partners onto their shoulders, while an audio edit of rihanna’s breakin’ dishes plays in the background.
“uh, i think I’ve seen one or two of it. why?” you ask, pulling your cup to your lips and taking a sip through the straw. “have you considered asking rafe to try it with you?” kie asks and you furrow your brows. “why would i do that?”
“because it’s fun! you can see if rafe is strong.” kie laughs as sarah pulls out her own phone and the two girls scroll through their device. “we did it too!”
in sync, the two turn their phones your way and the audio plays, with john b lifting sarah while she crosses her leg and flashes a confident smile, while jj does the same for kie, with the two grinning proudly and laughing in the video.
the sight makes you smile as you chuckle and pull away. “how cute.”
“c’mon, you should try it with rafe! make a video and send it to us and we can post it on our socials~!” sarah beams and you sigh, swirling your beverage. “i don’t know, rafe isn’t really into the stuff.. and besides i might be too heavy for him.”
“don’t be silly, rafe is probably stronger than both john b and jj, honestly.” kie grunts out, not particularly thrilled about her compliment to rafe but you laugh at that.
“maybe, but still.. we’ll see.”
“hey, rafe?”
“yeah, baby?” glancing up from his phone, his eyes travel to you standing from the doorway of the living room entrance and you smile faintly, taking a stride towards your boyfriend seated on the couch.
instinctively, he opens his arms and you climb into his lap and pull out your phone. “have you seen this?” you show him the same compilation video from earlier.
rafe watches it and scrunches his nose briefly before returning to his normal neutral expression. “yeah, what about it? topper told me about it. he struggled lifting ruthie a bit.” he scoffs.
“can we try it?..” the hesitance in your voice makes him confused. “why are you being so shy about it, baby?”
your lips unconsciously curl into a small frown as you rest on his chest. “I don’t know.. I might be too heavy for you.. but kie and sarah want me to do this tiktok thing and-“
rafe suddenly brings his hands to your hips, firmly gripping the flesh before standing up and lifting you with ease into the air, high up making you squeal and clutch onto him. “rafe!”
your boyfriend grins at your reaction as he carefully places you onto his shoulder, hand resting atop of your thighs while the other holds yours to steady you.
“don’t underestimate me again, sweetheart. you’re light as a feather.”
bonus : you managed to convince rafe to do it for a tiktok video, even though he wasn’t particularly excited about recording himself doing it, he did it anyways to make you happy.
as the audio plays, rafe tosses you up and lands you in his shoulder without so much of a flinch, and he’s smirking while you hide your flushed face in embarrassment.
sending the video to kie and sarah, the three of you posted your individual videos to your socials and garnered quite the view count.
rafe who saw, hums curiously. “i suppose doing more to expand your followers couldn’t hurt.”
Tumblr media
a/n : hope you enjoy! i’m tryna think of tiktok trends lol these short things w rafe seem so cute :)) let me know your thoughts! <3

Tumblr media
✧ 4:26 am, thursday ✧
billie’s pacing felt like an endless, drunken mess, the soft padding of her socked feet on the hardwood floor the only sound filling her quiet bedroom. every step was wobbly, uneven, the thuds of harder steps sinking into the floor. her phone sat on the edge of her desk, lit up and buzzing as her thumb hovered over the call button, swaying, like even it didn’t know what it wanted.
her chest was tight, like she couldn’t get a full breath no matter how hard she tried.
“god, this is so stupid,” she slurred, a bitter laugh bubbling up and spilling out, “so fucking stupid.” her voice cracked halfway through, and her giggles fizzled out into silence.
she ran a hand through her hair, tugging at the ends as if the dull ache in her scalp could distract her from the mess inside her head. the fight played on a loop in her mind, the words that you had thrown at her cutting deeper each time she replayed them. i don’t want you. at all.
“fuck,” she muttered under her breath, stopping mid-step and leaning against her desk. her fingers curled around the edge, gripping it tight enough to make her knuckles bleed white. she squeezed her eyes shut, trying to will the memory away, but it was no use.
because the thing was— she did know you. at least, she thought she did. she knew how your hands trembled when you were nervous, how your eyes darted around the room when you were thinking too hard about something, how you bit your lip when you were holding back words that you weren’t ready to say.
but now? now, billie wasn’t so sure anymore. had she been wrong about you? had she pushed too hard? maybe you were right— maybe billie didn’t know you the way she thought she did. and that realization was almost worse than the fight itself.
she tried to really think through how you were feeling, but everything was so unclear. you go out with her, kiss her, and then run off like nothing happened? she tried to hear you out, but things weren’t making sense. she felt like you were projecting, like there was something else underlying your irrationality, but she couldn’t pinpoint it.
oh, how sorry she felt. billie felt like she had did you wrong, like she should’ve been more careful, more understanding. but she knew that she couldn’t change what she did, what was said— it was all too late now.
she really liked you, if that wasn’t obvious enough. but given the way you placed your faith above anything else, the way that you carried yourself, she knew that deep down, you could never be interested in someone like her. and she couldn't blame you, she just didn’t fit into your lifestyle.
she didn’t mean to make you feel like she was wrecking your morals, but she couldn’t stop herself. her crush blossomed when you two talked, and even more when you didn’t. because then, her imagination could roam. she could think of a world where she belonged in yours, where you two were absolutely inseparable. she could pretty much ponder about whatever she wanted, and if she thought long and hard enough, she could convince herself it was real.
she had only met you shy of a week ago, and that was the bad part. usually, billie was more stoic, careful with what she said and did. she couldn’t let herself fall to easily, but it was like she was starstruck by you.
and she hated it.
she hated that everytime she got around you, she couldn’t get that stupid grin off of her face. she hated that when you touched her, even if it was on accident, her skin would light up, identical to the way her eyes did when she looked at you. she hated that your opinion was the only thing that mattered to her— but most of all, she hated how much she didn’t hate you.
because, in reality, she should. you hated her back, and that should’ve been a good enough reason for her to hate you, right?
wrong.
she wanted to chase after you, no matter how many times you’ve told her to stop, to let you go, pushing her away. she was drawn to you no matter what you did to her, and that’s what billie despised. whatever you did, said, however you acted— it was never enough to get her to stop.
but a little sliver of her understood. she knew deep down that it was just how you were— a faithful Christian and a girl who hardly believed, how was that going to work?
it was just the principle, she thought. it was just how things were going to be. but at the same time, she wished you would at least try. try to let her in— she wouldn’t hurt you, and she was certain that you knew that. you just weren’t brave enough to give it a try.
and then, she was angry.
angry at how you stormed off, after you were the one to kiss her. she was angry at how you pretended like everything between you was just friendship, but billie saw the way you looked at her when you thought she didn’t notice. yeah, she saw that.
she saw everything. and it made her even more upset, because how could you just walk away, after everything that had happened?
billie chewed on the inside of her cheek, her gaze flicking to the phone again. her stomach twisted at the thought of pressing that button, of hearing your voice again, of maybe making things worse. but she had to try. she couldn’t let it end like this, not after everything. it was too easy to give up, and she wouldn’t have it. she needed to make things right.
just call her, she told herself, but her fingers wouldn’t move. her head was loud, so loud, her thoughts a jumbled mess of regret and anger and confusion. she needed answers, needed to understand why things had unraveled so fast, why you had kissed her and then pushed her away so violently, all in the same breath.
and, if she was being honest with herself, she needed to know if there was still something left between you two. if the thread that had always connected you hadn’t completely snapped, if there was something worth saving.
billie took a deep, shaky breath and reached for her phone. her eyes hovered over your profile picture, your pretty smile illuminating her screen. she almost broke at that, and she shook her shoulders to try and shake it, her thumb hovering over the call button for a second that felt like an eternity. then, with a quiet exhale, she pressed it.
she held the phone to her ear, her heart pounding so loudly she was sure it would drown out the ringing. once, twice, three times— it felt endless. and just as she was about to lose her nerve and hang up, the call connected.
“…hello?”
your voice was soft, hesitant, and billie’s breath caught in her throat. she clenched her jaw, trying to steady herself, but the cracking in her hushed breathing gave her away. she could feel the tension on the other side of the line, and she almost spoke to break it, but then she heard a voice.
“no, dude— hang up!”
“shit.” was all she heard you say before the line went dead.
billie almost lost her mind at that, and she threw her phone harshly onto her bed, cursing underneath her breath. it didn’t take a genius to know who was talking in the background, obviously it was emma.
so your friends hated her, too? what else was new?
she sat down on the edge of her bed, her hands dragging through her hair, fingers curling at the roots. the sting in her scalp didn’t compare to the tightness in her chest, like her ribs were caving in on her lungs. her jaw ticked, her gaze locked on the phone lying motionless on the bed. it just sat there, mocking her, your contact still opened.
“unbelievable,” she muttered, the word heavy with frustration. her mind wouldn’t stop replaying it— emma’s sharp voice, that venom-laced “hang up.”
of course, it was emma. always hovering, always protective, like some unspoken barrier between you and everyone else. billie got it— she really did. emma was just looking out for you. but that didn’t make it any less maddening. it didn’t make the rejection hurt any less.
her knee started bouncing as she leaned forward, her elbows on her thighs, her head in her hands. every second of that call was burned into her mind, every pause, every breath, every muffled sound from your end.
why? why couldn’t you just talk to her? why did you have to listen to emma, let her speak for you like you didn’t have your own mind?
but then, in the quiet of her room, another thought crept in, unwelcome and sharp. maybe you don’t want to talk to her. maybe you really mean it when you say you don’t want her.
the thought twisted in her gut, and she stood up abruptly, pacing the room again like it would help, but it really didn’t. nothing did. the same questions looped in her head, over and over, no answers in sight.
she wanted to be mad at you, to hold onto the anger, but it didn’t stick. because she knew. she knew how you looked at her when you thought she wasn’t paying attention, she knew the way your voice got quieter, softer, when it was just the two of you. she knew the way your lips lingered just a second too long when you kissed her.
and maybe that’s why it hurt so much. because she couldn’t be making all of that up. could she? could she really be the only one who was feeling like this? was everything unrequited, or were you just afraid?
billie eventually stopped pacing, only because her legs were aching from doing so. her hands found themselves on her hips, her eyes fixed on her phone like it might come alive and give her the answers she was too afraid to ask for. but all it did was sit there, silent, just like you.
“why’d you kiss me if you didn’t want me?” she mumbled, her words thick, slurred. her voice cracked again, and she let out a shaky breath, “why’d you—” she started, but she couldn’t finish. her throat tightened, and she felt the tears spill over, hot against her flushed cheeks.
billie found herself sinking onto the floor, curled up in her own frame, trying to keep her emotions at bay and her swirling mind at rest. but she was too tired of thinking, too tired to try and make things seem rational. she was over it, over everything.
she thinks back to the night that she first met you, though everything’s kind of choppy. she thinks about when she told you that she didn’t really believe in getting drunk to solve your problems, or to pretend that things were better then they seem. but now, it seems like those morals aren’t as strong as they were.
she fumbled for the bottle of tequila she’d left on the floor, her fingers slipping a few times before she managed to grab it. the glass was almost empty, but she tipped it back anyway, the last dregs burning slightly as they slid down her throat.
“god, i’m such a fucking mess,” she said to no one, her giggles bitter and hollow. she wiped at her face with the sleeve of her hoodie, but it didn’t help much, because tears still streamed down her cheeks.
you were all she could think about. you, with your stupid soft voice and your stupid pretty face and your stupid everything. it wasn’t fair. it wasn’t fair that you got to live rent-free in her head while she was falling apart over you.
her phone buzzed again, and her head snapped toward it, her heart lurching in her chest. she scrambled to grab it, almost dropping it in her drunken haste. but when she saw the screen, her stomach sank. it wasn’t you. of course it wasn’t.
“why won’t you just talk to me?” she asked aloud, though you weren’t there to hear it. her voice cracking again, “why won’t you just tell me how you feel?”
sobs shoot through her body, and she’s sure this is the hardest she’s ever cried before. but she couldn’t help it. with the help of the alcohol that was coursing through her veins, plus the confusion and the fight, it was all she could do.
she cries until her eyes are too tired to form more tears. she cries until her eyes are drained and her throat is scratchy, and she finally sits up, her back slumped against the wall.
her chest heaved with each deep breath that she took, her hands trembling as she gripped the phone like it was the only thing tethering her to reality. the screen dimmed, and she stared at your name, willing it to light up with a call, a message— anything. but it didn’t. it stayed still, cold and indifferent, mocking her desperation.
“what the hell is wrong with you?” she muttered, her words slurred. she wasn’t sure if she was talking to herself or to you anymore, to be honest.
“why do you— why do you get to walk away like that? like you didn’t…like you didn’t kiss me first. so fuckin’ rude.”
her grip on the phone tightened, her jaw clenching as her tears dried, replaced by something hotter, angrier. she pushed herself off the floor, stumbling slightly as she paced the room again. her head was spinning, from the alcohol and the heartbreak, but her anger was sharp and steady, a beacon in her haze.
“you kissed me,” she said aloud, her voice louder now, more forceful, “you kissed me, and then you acted like— like it didn’t mean anything. like i didn’t mean anything.”
her fists curled at her sides, and she kicked the edge of her desk in frustration, wincing as the sharp pain shot through her foot. but it didn’t stop her, it didn’t even slow her down. she kept pacing, “you’re so fucking unfair,” she hissed, the words tasting bitter on her tongue. “you—ugh!”
she turned to her bed, grabbing the nearest pillow and throwing it across the room with all the strength she could muster. it hit the wall with a dull thud, but it didn’t satisfy her, didn’t even come close.
“why are you like this?” she yelled, though careful not to wake any of her neighbors up. her voice cracks again, “why do you get to mess with my head, make me feel like…like i’m not enough?”
her knees wobbled, and she sank onto the sheets of her bed, her hands burying in her hair. the anger drained as quickly as it had come, leaving her exhausted, empty. her thoughts spiraled, looping back to you, always to you. the fight, the kiss, the way your voice had trembled when you said her name.
and then— quickly, her mind wandered, unbidden, to the bar. to the way your lips had curled when you threw that sharp, biting remark at her. to the way your eyes burned with frustration, your voice rising in a way she’d never heard before. and— god, the way you had sworn at her, the first time you’d ever done that. it shouldn’t have made her feel the way it did, but nevertheless, it did. she hated how hot it was, how the word rolled off your tongue like a challenge, like a dare.
“billie, would you just shut the fuck up?”
yeah, she was whipped.
billie groaned, her hands dragging down her face as she pulled her navy blue covers over her frame. the ceiling spun above her, and she fluttered her eyes closed, but that didn’t really help. all she could see was you. your lips, your eyes, the way your hand had brushed hers whenever she was patching you up in her car. it had been such an innocent touch, but it had set her skin on fire, left her wanting more.
she cursed under her breath, her mind betraying her as it conjured up images of you. not the angry, distant version of you from the fight, but the softer, quieter version. the one who laughed at her dumb jokes, her teasing nicknames, it was all you. you who leaned closer than necessary when you spoke, who looked at her like she was the only person in the room, which always made her feel better, way warmer, even if your intentions were innocent. she thought about the version of you who kissed her like you meant it, like you wanted her as much as she wanted you.
her breath hitched, her heart pounding in her chest as her thoughts grew more vivid, more dangerous. she could still feel the ghost of your lips on hers, the way your fingers had curled into her jacket like you didn’t want to let go. she wanted to believe that version of you was real, that it wasn’t just a figment of her drunk, desperate imagination.
“shit,” she whispered, her voice barely audible as she threw an arm over her face, trying to block out the images, the feelings, but it was no use. they kept crawling back into her conscience, no matter how hard she tried to kick them out. you were everywhere, in every thought, every breath, every beat of her pounding heart.
she hated how much she wanted you. hated how, even now, after everything, she couldn’t stop craving your touch, your voice, your laugh. hated how her body betrayed her, how the memory of you swearing at her sent a shiver down her spine, made her stomach twist in that familiar, dangerous way. it made her whole body set ablaze, tingles and rushes of adrenaline tangled within her nerves.
billie’s arm slid off her face slow and choppy as she let out a long, frustrated sigh, staring blankly at the ceiling that made her eyes spin. her thoughts were a mess, tangling and then untangling, looping back to the way your voice sounded— sharp, angry, and utterly captivating. she hated herself for it, for how much she liked the way you challenged her, even when it hurt her.
she shouldn’t like it this much.
you were always so calm, so composed, so measured in everything you did. but at the bar, you were raw and unfiltered. the way your lips had pressed into a thin line, the way your eyes blazed with frustration— it wasn’t something she’d ever seen from you before, and gosh, it did something to her. it was like you had cracked open, showing her a side of you that no one else got to see.
“get it together,” billie muttered to herself, running a hand through her hair. but it was useless. her mind was already spiraling, drawn back to the memory of you leaning over the table, your voice low and heated as you argued with her. there was a fire in your eyes, a passion she hadn’t expected, and it had set something alight in her, too.
and that kiss. man, that kiss. she could still feel it, the way your lips had pressed against hers, hesitant at first but quickly growing bolder. it wasn’t soft or sweet— it was urgent, messy, like you were trying to pour everything you felt into it. like you were saying all the things you couldn’t put into words.
billie groaned, turning on her side as heat crept up her neck. she was drunk, sure, but even she couldn’t blame the alcohol for the way her thoughts lingered on you. on the way your hands had trembled slightly when you kissed her, the way your breath had hitched when she pulled you closer.
she couldn’t blame the alcohol, because this wasn’t the first time she had these thoughts.
her chest ached with memory, a mixture of longing and regret swirling inside her. she wanted to be angry, to stay mad at you for storming off, for listening to emma, for acting like she didn’t matter to you. but she couldn’t. because deep down, she knew that wasn’t the whole truth. she knew there was more to it, more to you.
maybe that’s what scared her the most. not that you didn’t care about her, but that you did— and that you were too afraid to let yourself feel it.
“you’re such an idiot,” she whispered out, though she wasn’t sure if she was talking about you or herself. maybe both.
her cheeks flushed, a baby pink hue finding its way onto her cheeks, playing on her features like some sick game. she was way past embarrassed, but she was alone, and it didn’t seem as bad as it really was.
without thinking, billie sank deeper within the cushioning of her bed, her fingers grazing over the hem of her gingham shorts, her breath hitching. she stopped for a second, trying to think hard about what she was doing, but the alcohol forbade her from staying on track.
eventually, her mind couldn’t help but wander, identical to the way her fingers ventured down her thighs, grazing them with her fingertips in a slow, vertical fashion, until she made it back to the scrunched waistband. and with swift movements, she slid her shorts off of her legs, pushing them through the covers until they found themselves on the floor.
billie took her sweet time, at first, just toying with the outer corners of her lacy black panties, pulling at the semi-circle flowers on the ends. she closed her eyes, letting herself drown in all the events of the night, the heated flirting, the way you had kissed her so passionately in the passenger seat.
she shouldn’t be thinking about you like this, not after everything. not after the way you walked out, leaving her standing in the middle of that bar, a mess of confusion and longing. but deep down, she couldn’t let go. she liked the fuel, like a moth to a flame, she was drawn to you. she couldn’t help herself.
she couldn’t help the way her hands moved to slide her underwear down to her ankles, kicking the article of clothing off and down to the floor, along with her discarded shorts. a sudden rush of cool air made her let out a small gasp, the breath low and sultry as she pulled the covers closer.
she wouldn’t ever admit it out loud, but billie was always easier to turn on when she was drunk. and with recent events, it wasn’t helping the heat that was burning in her lower abdomen.
she traced a finger over her sensitive core, and then adding another, before pushing her slit open slowly, webs of wetness latching onto her fingertips as she let out a cool, choppy moan.
this was awful, so very wrong— to touch herself while thinking about you, especially now. but you didn’t have to know, no one did, and that’s the logic she used to satisfy her greed, her hunger for you, her constant need to see you, touch you.
billie spread her legs as she slipped her fingers inside of her warm cunt, the digits stretching out her walls sweetly as her thumb latched onto her clit, rubbing tight and firm circles against it. every thought of your pretty face, of your tooth-aching sweet smile, your precious eyes— that was what fueled her to keep touching herself, to feel those ground-breaking tingles against her exposed skin.
she bit her lip, her hips bucking underneath her satin sheets as her fingers thrusted quicker into her pussy, though her movements were choppy and uneven— it still felt good. she kept thinking about you, unashamed now, your face etched into her memory as she fought to keep her moans at bay.
she thanked the heavens that she didn’t have a roommate.
beads of sweat formed onto billie’s back as her head sinks into her pillow, little whimpers passing through her reddened, plump lips, her movements quickening as she felt a tight knot from in her stomach. images of you flashed against her mind, like gasoline to a fire, stoking up the adrenaline that was entangled in her veins. her fingertips curl and graze against her sweet spot, angelic moans falling thin and weak in the air as she moaned out, little syllables of your name rolling off of your tongue.
it was so bad, but it felt so good. she was needy, eager, and that was obvious in the way that her hips lifted off of her covers, her hands sliding in and out of her wet pussy, her eyes fluttering closed as she felt her orgasm crash over her like a warm wave. she panted heavily, her movements slowing down, along with her breaths.
billie placed her back against the sheets and let out a long, unsteady breath, her eyes finding themselves at the thought of what she just did. but she’s too drunk and too exhausted to care, and she figures that she’ll deal with the repercussions tomorrow. so she flips onto her side, pulls the covers over her, and falls asleep.
✧ 11:05 am, saturday ✧
the dorm was alive with energy, the kind that only comes on a lazy saturday morning when no one’s in a rush to be anywhere. sunlight streamed in through the half-open blinds, casting soft patterns on the carpeted floors as the group sprawled out in various spots around emma’s and your small room. naomi was perched cross-legged on your desk chair, spinning lazily while scrolling through her phone, one earbud in. jules was on the floor, back against the bedframe, fiddling with the frayed edges of her ripped jeans while flipping through some fashion magazine. oliver had claimed the beanbag in the corner, his long legs stretched out in front of him as he leaned back, relaxed. and emma— well, emma was laying half asleep underneath your covers, waking every once in a while when someone would say something funny, and then she’d lay back down.
you sat on your bed, legs tucked underneath you, careful not to disturb emma. your hands clasped around a warm mug of tea, a small comfort, the heat grounding you as your thoughts buzzed louder than the conversation around you. everyone was talking about their plans for the day— emma wanted to hit the library for an upcoming paper, oliver was trying to convince naomi to come with him to a record store downtown, and jules was debating between joining them or staying behind to binge a new show. after individual plans, though, jules insisted that you all hang out and go roller skating, something that the five of you liked to do pretty often.
“you’re quiet this morning,” naomi said, her voice cutting through the noise as she turned her gaze toward you.
your head snapped up, startled, and you forced a small smile, “i didn’t sleep well at all. just exhausted.”
it wasn’t a lie, you truly hadn’t slept well at all. after the bar fight with billie just shy of three days ago, you weren’t really feeling all that great. you hadn’t talked to her since, and it was both a relief and extremely nauseating.
you missed her, deep down. but you knew it was an absolutely horrible idea to reach out, and start this sickening process all over again. you were making small but victorious progress, and you really didn’t want to take any chances at ruining that.
after the fight, you woke up with a headache that made you feel like your forehead was going to split wide open. you threw up twice, your throat burning as you had finally wiped your lips, standing above the toilet and flushing it. emma had held your hair back for you, giving you tips on how to never throw up when hungover, at least for a lightweight like you. but if you were being honest, it didn’t really interest you to get drunk ever again.
you had prayed and did Bible study for what felt like an eternity. you didn’t hear God speak, but you figured it was because you had strayed off your path, so the fault settled on you. but you wrote in your notebook diligently, said your prayers thoughtfully, and skimmed the pages of your devotionals carefully. in due time, no matter what was going on, you were sure He would answer.
you even called loretta, as you had missed one of your calls when you fell asleep. she was just calling to check in, and she could tell even through the phone that you were doing at least a little better.
you had to admit, you were proud of yourself for getting back on your feet. or, so it seemed.
it appeared to everyone else like you had somehow become completely fine. and you had, for a solid…five minutes. but, of course, all the doubts and ‘what-ifs’ began to creep back in.
you weren’t sleeping well at all, which was the first issue. you’d stay up glued to your studies or scrolling on pinterest until your eyes were burning and your skin was sweating from the constant tossing and turning. and when you finally would fall asleep, you’d wake up with headaches or your limbs tense and unstretched.
you didn’t have the slightest bit of energy to do anything, either. you were doing just enough to keep A’s in all your classes, neglecting most of the extra work that your teachers assigned, only taking the extra mile when absolutely needed.
but you were masking it well. you took small victories when you could, although, you felt a little empty. you were tighter with your friends, hanging out almost everyday, mainly as a healthy distraction. but sometimes, all you really wanted, was billie.
you fought tooth and nail not to pick up your phone and call her. to spill every detail of your life out to her, to update her on how things were, even if they weren’t good. it was killing you that you couldn’t speak to her, even if it was a decision that you had made.
you didn’t like that you had the upper hand in this situation. you wished that it had fell back on billie, because although it was selfish, you really wished that you could have one less thing on your plate. deep down, you honestly wished that you had never met her at all.
you were doing fine until she came into the picture. though you knew she didn’t mean you any harm, you were picking up the pieces that she caused to crumble, making you spiral and act irrational, something you would’ve never thought about doing in the past.
but it wasn’t all her fault, you couldn’t put the blame on her. you were there too, and you had to take ownership of that, even though it was hard.
jules and naomi had raised an eyebrow at your statement like they didn’t quite believe you, but they didn’t press. instead, the both turned her attention back to oliver, who was now trying to win the both of them over with promises of coffee and pastries in order to go record shopping with him.
you tried to focus on their loud, happy chatter, to let it pull you out of your own head, but it was no use. your thoughts were stuck, looping in a way that made your chest feel tight.
you thought about two nights ago, about coming out.
the words lingered in your mind, heavy and sharp. it wasn’t like you hadn’t thought about it recently, you had, a lot— but thinking about it and actually doing it were two very different things. and with naomi and jules sitting just a few feet away, laughing and joking like nothing was wrong, the weight of it all felt unbearable.
emma and oliver already knew, and were doing exceptionally well at hiding it. they understood that it was something you would share when you were ready, and they vowed to keep quiet about it. naomi and jules were wondering about the awkward tension that was taking place before, as you weren’t texting or calling pretty much at all. but emma just shrugged it off, covering by saying you were going through a rough time and just needed a second to breathe. which, wasn’t all that false.
you glanced at them, at the easy way they moved through the world, at how free they seemed. naomi, with her loud, unapologetic laugh and her wild hair that framed her face like a halo. jules, with her sharp wit and soft smile that could disarm anyone in an instant. they were your bestest of friends, and yet, the idea of telling them felt impossible.
it wasn’t that you didn’t trust them— you did, more than anyone. but there was this nagging voice in the back of your mind, whispering all the worst-case scenarios, how’d they react. what if they didn’t understand? what if they looked at you differently? what if it changed everything?
and then there was your faith, tangled up in all of it like a knot you couldn’t undo. you’d grown up in the church, surrounded by sermons and scripture and songs that painted the world beautifully, but it was in black and white. you’d been taught that love was normal to desire, it was healthy, but only when it looked a certain way, fit into a certain mold. anything outside of that was wrong, sinful, unworthy.
you swallowed hard, the taste of the tea suddenly bitter on your tongue. it wasn’t that you didn’t believe anymore— you still did, in your own way. but reconciling your faith with who you were, with how you felt, was a battle you fought every single day, and it was hard to keep on track, if you were being completely honest.
“you okay?” naomi’s voice broke through your thoughts, and you looked up to find her watching you, her head tilted slightly in concern.
“yeah,” you said quickly, forcing another smile. “just zoning out. i need to get out of this dorm room.”
she seemed to accept that, nodding as she turned back to oliver, who was now listing off his favorite bands like his life depended on it.
you let out a quiet breath, grateful for the reprieve, but still feeling the weight in your chest.
emma caught your eye from across the room, her expression soft but questioning. she always seemed to know when something was off, even if she didn’t say it out loud, which was needed sometimes. it was one of the reasons you’d told her first, days prior, in the quiet of this very room. she’d taken it well, better than you’d expected, and you were thankful for that. but even her quiet support wasn’t enough to silence the doubts that clawed at you.
the conversation in the room shifted again, this time to lunch plans, and you nodded along when someone suggested the diner a few blocks away, your group’s spot. looks were shared between all of you, and it seemed like everyone had remembered that night that billie came in. but when you smile, and assured them that it was okay to go, they carried on. but your mind was still elsewhere, caught between the fear of staying silent and the terror of speaking up.
you wondered what it would feel like to finally let it out, to let them see all of you. would it be freeing? or would it be just as heavy, just as hard, but in a different way?
“alright, you sure you’re good?” emma asked quietly, leaning closer so only you could hear.
you nodded, your grip tightening around your mug as you took your last swig, the warmth making you feel slightly more at ease, “i’m okay, really,” you said softly, “i’m honestly just… thinking. you know how it is.”
she didn’t push, just gave you a small nod of understanding before straightening up again, making sure to include you in the conversation between the five of you.
“alright, i really think we should just go skating,” jules advocates from her spot on the floor, closing her magazine, “we all love skating. why don’t we do that?”
“because naomi here is like bambi on wheels.” oliver snorts, pointing to the purple-haired girl, and she gifts him a well-deserved, playful slap to the arm.
emma nods, “i don’t think skating’s a bad idea, i’m down. everyone’s already ready, so, when are we heading out?”
“just need to get dressed, and then we can go.” you say, pulling the covers off of your frame, standing up and heading over to your dresser. you fumble around for something to wear as the four behind you discuss what’s for lunch, and things of that sort. you eventually settle on a jean skirt and a white top to match, with a baby pink cardigan thrown over it. you turn around and show the group your outfit, holding the pieces up to your body to provide something to the imagination, “this cute?”
“adorable!” naomi grins, and the others agree, too, and oliver gives you a sweet thumbs up, which makes you smile. you grab your phone off of your desk and slip into emma’s room, since you figure that changing in there would take less time than walking to the bathrooms.
you close the door behind you, and you look around for a second. emma’s room is a complete contrast to yours— cheetah printed blankets, posters of lana del rey and other singers hung up on her walls, right next to her deep red electric guitar and shelves of different sneakers and expensive handbags. she had a bookcase dedicated to anything but books, it was mostly filled with perfumes, fashion mags, and candles. her desk was a mess, makeup everywhere, and trash anywhere but in the bin, but you admired her style. it was an oddly warm comfort to you, the difference of style, and that’s what you always loved about emma— she was so unlike you, and yet, you two were the perfect set of friends.
you found her mirror and stood in front of it, slipping off your matching pj set and quickly sliding today’s outfit on. you fixed your hair and toyed with the ends, curling them around your fingers to give their already kinky state a little bit more bounce.
when you were satisfied with your appearance, you twisted the doorknob and stepped out, doing a little twist for the group as they all cheered. you felt more welcomed than ever— appreciated, accepted, and you wanted it to stay like that, like how it always was.
but with this huge secret (although it wasn’t so huge, because emma and oliver knew), you didn’t know how long this would last. you were going to latch onto it as long as you could, hoping and praying that when the time came, you would still be loved as you were, before everything went down.
you knew your best friends, they wouldn’t really care all that much, but it would just be so unexpected coming from you. were you ready for that, truly? were you ready to live out the things you had always felt? you weren’t too sure now.
you walked back over to your desk, slipping your nearly dead phone into your bag as you leaned against the edge of it, trying to find some sort of calm. the room was filled with chatter, naomi arguing with jules over whether or not they should try the new sandwich spot downtown or stick to the diner, and oliver chiming in with some random fact about artisan bread that seemed nice to try. emma was scrolling through her phone, half-listening but still throwing in a laugh here and there. it was so normal, nothing out of the blue, but you felt this strange ache in your chest.
you thought about how emma and oliver already knew that you were a lesbian, how it had felt like peeling off a bandage and exposing something raw when you’d told them just a few days ago. emma had hugged you tight, whispering that she was proud of you, and oliver had just nodded, his usual soft, understanding smile on his face, cracking jokes back and forth with you. but then, that night after billie called you, it all hit you like a wave.
you didn’t mean to hang up so abruptly. you wanted to hear her out at first, but you quickly realized that it wasn’t a good idea. emma had urged you to hang up, and you did with no hesitation, suddenly realizing that answering in itself was a mistake.
it wracked your brain for the rest of the night, and it bothered you badly that you couldn’t talk to billie. you felt like at least one more conversation could help, but it was too late for that, and you had to put yourself first. so you put your phone up for the night, falling asleep not to long after emma did.
and then, you cried.
but not about billie. about your friends.
it wasn’t even that you were scared of rejection. you knew naomi and jules loved you like family, and you couldn’t imagine them turning their backs on you. but it was the shift you feared— this tiny, delicate balance being thrown off, even if just for a moment. you hated being the reason things felt different. you hated the idea of anyone looking at you like you were someone else now.
your fingers toyed with the strap of your bag as the thought settled in your mind like an unwelcome guest. it wasn’t fair, really, how much weight this little not-so-big secret carried. it was supposed to feel freeing, like shedding an old skin that didn’t fit anymore, blossoming into something new, and much more beautiful. but instead, it felt like walking on a tightrope, praying you wouldn’t fall and drag everyone else down with you. you couldn’t let that happen again.
emma’s voice broke through your thoughts, pulling you back to the moment. “you okay?” she mouthed, her brows knitting together slightly. it’s all she seemed to ask now, but you appreciated the sentiment. you nodded quickly, offering a small smile to reassure her, but the way she tilted her head told you she wasn’t convinced. she didn’t push you, though, she just gave you that look that said i’m here when you’re ready.
and you wanted to be ready, for all of it. for the conversations, the questions, the vulnerability, all the jokes that would be cracked. you wanted to be able to say everything with confidence, to look at yourself in the mirror and feel like you weren’t hiding anymore, like you were proud to be just the way you were. but there was still that small, stubborn part of you that whispered, what if you’re wrong? what if this isn’t who you’re supposed to be? is a phase, something that will pass when the time comes?
you pushed the thought aside, swallowing hard as you forced yourself to focus on the present. the laughter in the room, the warmth of your friends, the way everyone was bickering about oliver’s odd knowledge about sandwiches and bread. you let yourself laugh, even if it felt a little hollow, because you were sure, slowly yet surely, it would make you feel better.
you’d hold onto this moment, this fragile, fleeting sense of normalcy. you’d hold onto it for as long as you could, and when the time came to tell them, you’d trust that naomi and jules would still love you, still see you the same way that they always did. at least, that’s what you prayed for. and lately, that was all you could do.
“okay, so are we ready to go, or are we gonna argue about sandwiches all day?” emma said, rolling her eyes with a grin as she grabbed her keys off of your nightstand, standing up to dust off her wide legged jeans. naomi and jules were still in a heated, albeit playful teasing sesh against oliver, and he was just sitting on the arm of the couch, shaking his head at them.
“for the record,” he interjected, raising his hand like he was in a courtroom, “the sandwich shop idea isn’t bad. but if we’re talking about lunch and activities, why not just roller skating now? we can grab lunch and still get dinner at the diner. there’s that rink a few blocks from here, and they’ve got a food court with, you know, options. not just flavorless-ass bread that’s probably already stale.” he gave a pointed look at naomi and jules.
“skating?” you repeated, “okay, yeah, i’m down.”
“me too,” emma said, already grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder, “besides, i can’t wait to see naomi bust her ass out there. wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen that, hm?”
naomi gasped, clutching her chest dramatically, “okay, excuse me! i have impeccable balance, so thank you very much.”
“uh-huh,” jules snorted, already pulling her jacket on, zipping it up as she let out a mocking laugh, “we’ll see how long that lasts when you’re out there, bambi.”
the group laughed as you all filed out of the dorm, everyone grabbing their belongings as you closed and locked the door behind you, and then the walk started. emma, jules and naomi walked up front, while you and oliver retreated to the back, following close behind them. you heard easy banter filling the air as you all walked outside, stepping out into the cool air, though the warm sun gave hints of a warmer afternoon.
“how are you feeling?” oliver asked you as you walked, his eyes glancing down to meet with yours. they were glossed over with concern, but it was out of love, so you spoke honestly.
“good, overall, i think. i really have no complaints— i just…you know. i get into my own head sometimes.”
oliver nods at you, “i get that. just remember, i’m always here if you need something, ‘girlfriend.’” he nudges your arm on that last part, and you shake your head at him, though you can’t help but laugh.
the walk to the skating rink was a short one, but it was peaceful. occasionally, everyone would turn around and talk, and jules would sometimes snap a picture of a cool tree or pretty flowers on her digital camera. you stayed toward the back of the group, letting their energy pull you along while you kept to your thoughts.
when you all arrived at the rink, the hum of retro music and the buzz of people skating hit you instantly, accompanied with the smell of pretzels and store-bought pizzas. the place had an old-school charm— bright neon signs, colorful lights that reflected off the fresh, polished floor, and rows of skates lined up behind the counter as employees waved the five of you in.
“this is gonna be so fun!” naomi cheered, her face lighting up as she clapped her hands together. she then looked at emma, who seemed all but convinced that naomi would stay on her feet, “and just for the record, i’m gonna be the best one out there. no questions asked.”
“uh huh, yeah— you’re really committed to this narrative, huh naomi?” emma teased as she slipped a ticket across the counter in exchange for her inlines, “we’ll see how you do, but don’t cry when i’m doing laps around you while your ass is super-glued to the floor.”
everyone laughed at that as they grabbed their skates, and you were last to do so. you grabbed a pair of quads and took a seat on the bench, slipping them onto your feet carefully. emma was already up and skating around, practicing whatever tricks that she had hidden up her sleeve.
whenever she had to clear her head, she’d go to the rink— something she had been doing since she was younger. that’s where you learned how to skate, from emma’s constant visits to your rink back home, and it felt like that you had a hobby you could both share.
when everyone was ready, the group shuffled out onto the rink, the polished floor gleaming beneath the flashing lights. it was awkward at first, your legs feeling wobbly and unsure as you gripped the railing for support. it wasn’t that you didn’t know how to skate, it had just been so long, but you picked up your pace when emma and jules grabbed both your sides and forced you out onto the floor.
“you got this!” jules had said, and then you three were off, hands laced within one another’s, skating rhythmically to some old song that was playing on the speakers above.
“look at you!” emma called out, gliding up beside you with ease after you and jules had broke off, skating at your own pace. you were twisting and turning like you usually did, the art becoming more comfortable to you, and you were enjoying yourself.  “you’re not even holding on to the wall anymore! i’m so proud.”
“yeah, yeah,” you said, laughing as you pushed off your right food little harder, gaining more speed with each loop around the rink, “just don’t jinx it.”
everyone was pretty much skating alone now. you were doing your usual thing, crossing your feet and gliding side to side to the music, which was always fun for you. emma was on a roll— skating backwards between crowds of people, hopping on her feet, taking her party tricks to the extra mile. jules and oliver were racing, as they always did— and of course, jules won, also as always.
meanwhile, naomi was loudly declaring herself the queen of skating, much to jules’s amusement as she stumbled and nearly fell. you tried to contain your laughter, but you had to admit, it was pretty funny the way she swore up and down she was the best out of the group, though she hadn’t even found herself making a full lap around the floor yet.
you were skating peacefully as a new song came on, something by stevie wonder, which you liked. you started to slow down and accommodate to the blue-sy rhythm, but then, as you rounded the far side of the rink, your eyes caught a figure near the edge. your breath hitched in your throat, your heart dropping to your stomach. it was billie.
God, could you ever get away from this girl?
she was sitting on a bench, tying her skates with that familiar furrow of concentration on her face. her hair was pulled into one of the messiest buns you had ever seen, even for her, though a few pieces effortlessly accented her face around the sides. she was wearing a loose sweatshirt and a pair of shorts so long that you couldn’t tell if they were supposed to be like that. but, to your surprise, she was alone.
panic flared in your chest, and if you weren’t as comfortable with skating, you were sure that you would’ve fallen. your mind was racing as you quickly turned your head away, trying to keep her from seeing you. the last thing you needed was another interaction, another moment where she could belittle you, looking at you with that stupid grin that never seemed to leave her face, like she was always teasing you for something.
you skated past her as casually as you could manage, your heart pounding in your chest. you felt like you were going to burst, like your breath was stolen right out of your lungs. you heaved as you looked in front of you, where your friends were still laughing and teasing each other, blissfully unaware of the storm brewing in your stomach.
you felt sick.
you risked a glance over your shoulder, relief washing over you when you saw that billie hadn’t noticed you. she was still focused on her skates, completely oblivious to your presence. which, you definitely wanted to keep it that way.
you tried to focus on your friends, on the way naomi shrieked as she nearly toppled over again, after falling nearly ten times already, but she was saved only by oliver’s quick reflexes as he grabbed her arm.
“you owe me for that,” he teased, smirking at her as she tried to compose herself, tucking a strand behind her ear.
“whatever, i was totally fine. i could’ve gotten back up.” naomi huffed, wiping a few particles of dust off of her shirt as she stood up.
“sure you were,” jules said, rolling up beside her, her grin wide and mischievous, “next time, maybe we should get you those little kid trainers, you know, the ones with wheels on all four corners? seems pretty fitting if you ask me.”
“you’re all so mean to me!” naomi cried dramatically, though the laughter bubbling in her voice gave her away. she didn’t mind that she couldn’t skate all that well, truthfully, but it was always fun to mess around for a while.
the lightness of their banter helped ease some of the tension in your chest, and for a moment, you let yourself get swept up in it. emma had started a race with jules now, the two of them zipping around the rink in an uncoordinated blur, while oliver stayed back with naomi, coaching her like a patient older brother, though she still wasn’t quite getting it.
you skated in slow, deliberate circles, careful not to look in billie’s direction again. you didn’t want to tempt fate, not again.
but it wasn’t just fear that made you keep your distance. it was the weight of everything you’d been trying to leave behind— the fight, the tears, the way her voice still lingered in your head, sharp and biting, but also soft in ways that made your chest ache.
you couldn’t reminisce on that though. you had to stay focused on what really mattered, and it wasn’t billie. it was you, your happiness, your walk with God, and everything else that surrounded that. you didn’t have time to pick more stupid fights with her, when she would not and could not ever understand where you were coming from.
“you’re doing great, by the way,” oliver called out, snapping you out of your spiraling thoughts. he had left naomi with emma, though her coaching wasn’t as gentle. your eyes immediately find oliver’s as he skates with you, and you cock your brow at him, still nervous.
“what…what do you mean?” you ask.
oliver rolls his eyes, “i saw her. the others didn’t, and don’t worry, i won’t snitch. but just ignore her, for your own sake. you deserve nothing but peace right now, so don’t let her disturb that.”
“right, yeah.” you nod, but it sounds weak, even to your own ears. you’re just moving, fighting for a distraction, focusing on finding a steady rhythm again. the music shifted to something slower, softer, and the lights dimmed slightly, casting the rink in a warm glow. couples started pairing off, holding hands as they skated together, little holographic, neon hearts sliding against the wooden floors.
“ugh, so cute it’s disgusting,” emma squeaked, skating up beside you and nodding toward one particularly affectionate pair to your right. they were adorable, two girls holding hands and skating identically together. however, it made your chest cave in when one girl was wearing bright, pretty soft hues, while the other was wearing deep blacks and purples, a huge contrast to her girlfriend.
it felt like you and billie, in a way, and you almost gag at that. it seemed like everything reminded you of her, and you didn’t know how much longer you could take it.
“don’t be a hater,” jules chimed in, coming up on your other side, an easy distraction. you ease up as she teases emma, “maybe you’ll find someone to hold hands with one day, em. miracles happen, i’ll make a phone call to the angels for you, see what they can do.”
“very funny,” emma said, rolling her eyes. “i’m holding out for someone who can actually keep up with me, thank you very much.”
“wait, what happened with that guy i saw you with?” you questioned, hoping that the conversation would flow in a way that would make you forget about seeing billie.
“oh gosh, where do i even begin,” emma dragged on, and that’s when you knew that your plan was in motion. she babbled on about how he was a player and had no common sense, and something about how she didn’t like that he had bed covers with patrick mahomes’ face on it. which, you really didn’t know what that had to do with anything, but you just let her talk.
but then, out of the corner of your eye, you saw her again. billie.
she was on the rink now, skating slowly, her movements a little awkward like she wasn’t used to it. she was smiling, though— a small, quiet smile that tugged at something deep in your chest.
a smile that you missed.
you swallowed hard, your heart pounding loudly in your chest all over again. she still hadn’t noticed you, thank God, but just seeing her was enough to unsettle you completely, working your nerves right back up.
“you good?” emma asked you, nudging your shoulder lightly.
“yeah,” you said quickly, though your voice was too high-pitched to be convincing. you cleared your throat, forcing a smile out as you turned a corner, “just... distracted, i guess.”
emma tilted her head, studying you for a moment, but she didn’t ask anymore questions, “well, let me know if you need a distraction from your distraction.” she said with a wink before skating off to join the others.
you stayed where you were, finding refuge in a wall, letting the others drift ahead. your gaze flickered to billie again, despite yourself, and you wondered— just for a second— if she was thinking about you, too. if she had seen you.
but then she turned, skating toward the far side of the rink, and you quickly looked away, pulling your hair over the side of your face in hopes that she wouldn’t recognize you, if her eyes had somehow found their way to make out who you were, even though you were on the complete opposite side of the roller rink.
you skated to the edge of the opposite wall, trying to put as much distance between yourself and billie as possible. your heart was still pounding, your thoughts racing as you fought the urge to look back over your shoulder, to get one more glimpse, even though you knew you’d regret it.
so you didn’t. because the last thing you needed was for her to notice you.
but then, a sharp pang of anxiety hit you. what if she did see you? what if she thought you were alone, vulnerable, still hung up on everything that happened between you two? it felt irrational, but the idea of her pitying you— or worse, thinking she still had some sort of hold over you— made your stomach churn. you couldn’t let her have that type of victory over you. you were in control, not her.
your eyes scanned the spot that you were in, and then you spotted oliver across the rink, helping naomi wobble along the railing. relief washed over you— oliver was the perfect shield, the one person who could make you look completely unbothered and perfectly fine. after all, he was supposed to be your ‘boyfriend’ now, wasn’t he?
you pushed off the wall, skating toward him as steadily as you could.
 “ollie!”
he turned around when he heard your voice, his face lighting up when he saw you, “hey, what’s up?”
you skated up beside him, lowering your voice so only he could hear, though your request wasn’t all that abnormal, “okay, this is going to sound weird, but… can you hold my hand?”
he blinked, tilting his head, “uh, sure? what’s going on? is it…?”
you hesitated, glancing over your shoulder to make sure billie was still on the far side of the rink. you looked back at him, “yeah,” you whispered quietly, “and i just— i don’t want her to think… you know, that i’m…”
“still hung up on her?” oliver finished your dead sentence for you, his expression softening with understanding.
you nodded, biting your lip, “i just need her to see that i’m fine. better than fine, even. like… totally over it.”
he smiled gently, reaching out to take your hand. “yup, fake dating duty. got it.”
you felt a small wave of relief as his hand slid into yours, warm and steady. oliver gave it a reassuring squeeze, and you squeezed back, grateful as ever for how quickly he reacted, how eager he was to help you with no complaints.
“you owe me for this, by the way.” he teased as he started skating beside you, his tone lighthearted, and you knew that it was only jokes.
you snorted, “yeah right. just put it on my tab.”
naomi shot the two of you a curious look as you passed her idle spot next to the wall, “okay, wait, are we holding hands now? did i miss something?”
“we’re practicing for the couples skate,” oliver said smoothly, his tone so casual that even you almost believed him. it was a good lie, one that would hold over your little secret until it forced itself out. and now, now wasn’t really the time for it.
naomi narrowed her eyes, but jules came barreling toward her before she could press further, their laughter echoing across the rink.
you felt a little more at ease now, skating alongside oliver, your hand laced within his. your heart still raced every time you thought about billie, about everytime that you saw her around the rink. but having him there grounded you, reminded you that you weren’t alone.
you cast one more glance toward the far side of the rink, where billie was still skating. her focus was elsewhere, thank God, it was on anything but you.
you exhaled softly, squeezing oliver’s hand again. he looked down at you, raising an eyebrow, “feeling better?”
“yeah,” you said quietly through a smile, “thanks, ollie.”
before he could pay your statement back with a ‘you’re welcome’, you hear jules, naomi, and emma all agree that it’s time to head out and grab some food. they had apparently decided that eating at the diner for lunch was a better idea, saving time to possibly go downtown or go somewhere for dessert and take pictures. so, you and oliver followed accordingly, hopping off the floor and returning your skates to the counter.
as everyone slipped on their shoes and grabbed their things, jules went right back to her teasing of naomi, “so, did you fall?”
“i’m too hungry to argue with you.” she laughed, sliding her tote bag onto her shoulders as the group made their way outside, walking to the diner.
౨ৎ
the diner felt like a sanctuary at first, a bubble of warmth and laughter that protected you from the turmoil brewing just beneath your skin. the clatter of plates, the hum of the jukebox playing some old 50s song, and the low din of chatter around you all made it easy to pretend, just for a little while, that everything was okay, even if it was nothing but that.
you were wedged between emma and the wall in your usual spot, picking at the remains of your burger while naomi recounted some story about her boss at work, who she thought was all types of dreamy. oliver and jules were hanging on her every word, laughing at all the right moments, and emma was chiming in with her usual quick-witted commentary. it should have felt normal, comforting, just like how it was in your dorm this morning. but it didn’t.
you couldn’t stop replaying the moment at the rink. the way billie had looked— so familiar, yet so distant. and, to be honest, it kind of bothered you.
it hurt that you would have to see her around so much, way more often than you would like. it’s like all your hangout spots were hers too, and it was inevitable to get away from her. but you had to try, at least— try and heal from your wounds, try and forget everything that had happened and turn a new leaf. and you knew it would be hard, but you were going to work on it, because you owed it to yourself. you owed it to yourself to be happy.
you were about to take another bite of your burger when the bell above the door jingled, and your heart dropped. you didn’t even need to look to know who it was. the shift in the air was enough. you had felt it before, back at the bar, and earlier in the roller rink. you knew it was her.
but of course, you being you, you looked anyway.
and there she was.
her presence was like a punch to the gut, a mix of anger, longing, and something else you couldn’t quite place. she looked almost the same as she had at the rink— disheveled, guarded— but her eyes were sharper now, the playful nature of skating long gone.
your stomach twisted and screamed as her gaze landed on your booth, just to your luck. her jaw tightened, her lips pressing into a thin line as her eyes locked on you.
“oh no,” emma muttered under her breath, her fork pausing mid-air, “are you serious?”
“is that…?” jules started, but oliver kicked her under the table, shooting her a warning look, and her lips pursed quiet at that.
you quickly looked away, pretending to be engrossed in the fine lines of ketchup bottle on the table, but it was too late. billie was already walking over to you, her strut quick and strong, like she already had what she wanted to say and do in mind.
“can we talk?” she said once she reached your table, her voice low and tight, standing awkwardly next to your booth.
you placed your head in your hands as everyone went silent, their eyes darting between you and billie like they were watching a live fight scene. and honestly, you knew that’s where it was heading.
but there was nothing you could do. you couldn’t escape, she was here now, so you might as well engage, because there was no other way out of this.
“you want to talk here?” you asked, your voice sharp.
“no,” she clarified, crossing her arms over her chest, “outside.”
“you don’t have to go, love.” oliver said, quiet, but loud enough to where billie could hear. he knew that you needed this— a way out, a cover-up, even if she wasn’t buying it right this second. you felt his hand brush against yours under the table for added effect, though he was unsure if billie could see you two.
but you knew you couldn’t avoid this forever. so, with a heavy sigh, you slid out of the booth, avoiding everyone’s longing and confused looks as you started to walk, following billie out of the door.
the late afternoon air hit you like a slap to the face, much like the way billie had strutted in the diner, demanding a piece of your time like she was the one that owned it. she stopped a few feet away from the entrance, her back to you as she ran a hand through her hair.
“okay, what do you want, billie?” you asked, crossing your arms to mirror her, “i don’t have time for this, be quick and get straight to the point. i don’t even want to be talking to you right now.”
lie.
she turned to face you, her eyes dark and stormy, “honestly, i just want to know why. why you couldn’t just talk to me. why you couldn’t just tell me what was going on, instead of doing all…of this.”
“are you serious?” you snapped, your frustration bubbling quickly to the surface, “are you seriously going to ask me this question again like i haven’t already answered it? what else do you want me to say to you? i told you to leave me alone, and i’m not so sure why this can’t get through to you, so i’ll say it again. leave. me. alone!”
her jaw tightened, and she took a step closer to you. her eyes were glossed over with tears, but you didn’t care at all. you were sick of her acting like she was the victim, like you hadn’t asked her countless times you just leave you be. at this point, she was just harassing you.
“i-i’m sorry…i know, but…i feel like you’re not telling me everything, y/n. i feel so deeply that there’s something you aren’t telling me, like i’m not getting the whole wide of this story…i just, i needed to know—“
“i don’t owe you explanations about my own life,” you shot back, “why can’t you just give up on me, like you did back at the bar? why can’t you just let me live my life without showing up at the most random times, without making me feel like i’m the one that’s crazy, huh?”
“give up on you?” billie repeated, her voice cracking. she was full on tears now, “do you have any idea how hard it was to leave? how much it killed me to walk away?”
you flinched at the raw emotion in her voice, but you didn’t back down. she couldn’t phase you now, “if it was so hard, why did you do it?”
“because i didn’t know what else to do!” she shouted, her hands balling into fists at her sides, “you wouldn’t let me in, and i was fucking drowning. i couldn’t keep—”
“couldn’t keep what?” you interrupted, stepping closer now, your own anger flaring, “couldn’t keep dealing with me? with my problems? sorry i wasn’t perfect enough for you, billie, but you knew what you were getting yourself into, it was obvious.”
“that’s not what i meant,” she said, her voice quieter now but no less intense, “and you know it. you know that’s not how i felt about you.”
“then what did you mean?” you pressed, your heart pounding in your chest, “i mean, do tell billie, because i’ve been waiting for this. tell me what you really wanna say, because you’re doing nothing but wasting my time.”
she opened her mouth to respond, but then her gaze flicked behind your back, back toward the diner. you followed her line of sight and saw your friends watching from the window, their faces a mix of concern and curiosity, leaning in so close in hopes that they could hear what was going on.
billie’s expression shifted, her anger giving way to something softer, something almost vulnerable, like she really was going to tell you how she felt. but just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone, replaced by a mask of indifference, confusion, of something unsure.
“you know what? forget it,” she said, shaking her head at you, “this was a mistake. you were right.”
and then she turned on her heel without a word, and started walking away, her boots echoing against the pavement as she started towards her car.
“billie, wait,” you called after her, your voice trembling, but it was no use.
she didn’t stop. she didn’t even look back, and for the first time, you really wish she did.
you wanted to hear what she had to say, but you weren’t ready. you couldn’t handle all of that, but you thought you could at least try. but now, it was too late.
it was always too late.
you stood there, frozen, your fists clenched and your chest heaving as you watched her disappear into the driver’s seat of her car, cranking up the engine and speeding out of her parking spot.
your friends were still watching from the window, but you couldn’t bring yourself to face them. instead, you turned around and leaned against the wall of the diner, your head falling back as you stared up at the sky.
you wanted to scream, to cry, to do something about this, but all you could do was stand there, the weight of her words and your own anger pressing down on you like a weighted blanket.
and then, you heard the door to the diner swing opened, a voice pushing out into the empty air,
“i promise you, despite as much as you think you are, you and billie are far from done.”

Season 3 Official Trailer Breakdown
*Huge disclaimer that this show is so unpredictable that all of my guesses will probably be wrong. I know many of these shots are probably misdirections and missing important context.*
Tumblr media
Lottie spotted alive and well and looking great (with a bodyguard? Or just a very well dressed man?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A series of scenes that imply Nat is definitely in some hot water this season. It seems that she might have known where Coach Ben was but didn’t tell the group to protect him, which pisses the rest of the group off enough to question her leadership. Unlike Lottie, Nat wasn’t chosen by the group to lead them, which will likely result in tension and resentment from those who feel like she didn’t earn her new title. The group is shifting towards ferocity and darker morals, so maybe Nat can't meet the group’s needs or take them down the path they want to go on. Maybe the trial we saw in the first trailer was actually related to Nat? But why would Coach Ben be there in the background for that?
With the way Nat looks on her knees in the middle of the group and the vitriol she seems to be facing, I am so interested to see how she makes it out of this alive. However, I do think it’s important to note that, in the close up shot we get of her with blood on her face, there are no actual wounds visible. It could be someone else’s blood!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And related to that, we see the group setting up what appears to be a makeshift table. As we saw with Javi, I wonder if this table is being set up to butcher something (or someone) on. Or just to have a nice innocent family feast on.
I think it’s interesting to note that the clip immediately following this is Nat in what appears to be an apron with her hair pulled back. To me this looks like Nat is going to be the one doing the butchering in this scene (the apron and her hair being pulled back implies that she’s trying not to get blood on her clothes and hair). Could Nat be relegated to Shauna’s role as the butcher after Shauna becomes the new leader? Or is she just filling in for the moment?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It looks like Travis might be getting bit here (by Shauna?) while Lottie laughs. I really have no guesses as to what’s going on here. Maybe Travis stood up for Nat and therefore was attacked? I have a feeling Travis is going to be very conflicted as to where his loyalties lie this season, which might make him a target. The first image could actually be Mari getting the chomp, though, as we have already seen a clip of Shauna biting her hand in the previous trailer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It looks like Tai is attacking Van here (!!), which I'm willing to bet is Other Tai taking over, and we also see Tai screaming and crying (which I'm guessing is related to her attacking Van?). I'm wondering if this could be some kind of nightmare Taissa is having of losing control and hurting Van, which reflects how she is afraid of herself and her lack of control over her darker alternate. Or it could be her actually attacking Van. And is it just me or does it look like they are wearing the same outfits in the attacking scene and the scene where they're running through the street?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It looks like Shauna (and likely the other survivors) will be receiving some threatening letters and tape recordings from an unknown source (Shauna says that someone is trying to kill them for what they did in the wilderness). It looks like Shauna received both a letter (notably addressed to Shauna Shipman, not Sadecki, which could be a way of hinting that this person knows her past) and a tape? And then it looks like she is trying to secretly play the tape in her bathroom (trying to hide it from Callie and Jeff?).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's another clip of Mari running from the group again and hiding behind a tree, very reminiscent of when Nat hid behind the tree after drawing the Queen card in S2. Even though Mari does look genuinely scared here, the second clip of Mari laughing with Van in what appears to be the same scene makes me wonder if this is actually not Mari running for her life and rather just a fun game the YJs are playing. Maybe they're literally playing tag or something? Or maybe they were playing a harmless game which quickly devolved into something darker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A closer shot of Tai holding the gun. This time, we can see she is not as stoic as she appeared in the promotional images we saw before. She's crying, and I feel like that combined with the following clip of blood splattered on some leaves nearby confirms that Tai put to the task of shooting someone in this scene. Mari is in the background, so its not her, so is it Coach Ben? Why is Tai the one chosen to carry it out?
Tumblr media
We see more of that scene where Shauna is being pulled down into the lake by someone/something. I truly have no idea what is going on in this scene. I am kind of hoping that its Nat taking revenge and trying to threaten her/drown her but I am 90% sure that's not going to happen. Who do we think would try to drown Shauna?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pretty sure this is Mari spraying Shauna with some kind of mace! And by the looks of it, Shauna probably deserves it (sorry). Maybe this is following the scene where Shauna is trying to bite Mari's hand and then Mari sprays her with whatever this is to defend herself?
Tumblr media
A shot of a hooded figure holding the rifle, with some other hooded figures following behind. To me this looks like some kind of search party, like they are hunting someone down who ran away and hid. I wonder if they're looking for Nat? Especially after Shauna's "We'll give the wilderness what it wants" line. They could also be searching for Coach Ben or Mari.
Tumblr media
Tai and Misty about to smother someone to death in a hospital?? I would think this person must know too much about what they did in the wilderness and therefore they have to kill him. Another part of me is really just hoping they're smothering Lottie's dad to death because I know he's going to be in this season and I really hate that guy, but I am also pretty sure that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Things aren't looking too good for Akilah. The expression on her face and the way she's being held up by someone make it seem like she just got shot or stabbed/is actively dying. But not sure if they would be bold enough to show that in the trailer. Whatever is happening to Akilah here, she definitely doesn't look like she's doing too great.
Tumblr media
I'll say it: I think we're getting a Pit Girl reveal this season! Or at least we will get up to the point in the storyline right before Pit Girl. These are the same outfits we see the group donning in the opening scene of the pilot episode. We can clearly see the skunk head (referred to as The Hunter in the script) who was standing over the pit trap looking down at Pit Girl's body. It is still pretty impossible to tell who's who. But I think this tells us that Season 3 will go through spring, summer, and into the beginning of the second winter (or we could just be getting flash-forwards to winter). Looks like they've gone full feral at this point, they've got spears and they are definitely hunting someone down. I wonder if this is actually the Pit Girl scene itself, just from the perspective of the hunters now instead of the prey.
Tumblr media
This is pretty much confirmed to be Lottie given that we have behind the scenes photos of Simone Kessell wearing this exact dress and heels. Lottie, I am so scared for you, please be okay. hoping she's just passed out or something. Or maybe she just got tired and she's taking a nap...on a dark mysterious concrete floor surrounded by candles.
Tumblr media
And last but absolutely not least we have Lottie eating the fuck out of someone with blood all over her face. The cannibalism in this season has been turned up to 11 for sure.
--
There are some shots that I left out because I ran out of room! There are just so many details in this trailer that I want to unpack, but I tried to pick out the ones I found most important. Some other important shots not mentioned were the arrow in the tree trunk (I'm guessing this is actually the adult timeline since I'm really not sure where the girls would get an arrow like that in the wilderness, unless it belongs to someone outside of the group👀), a Queen card being picked up off the street in the adult timeline, the floating lantern scene we have seen in promotional photos, the girls having a feast, Travis walking with the rifle, and the girls running around their makeshift huts having fun (wholesome).

Thinking on interesting premises for Yuu creation/character dev. in terms of the 'isekai' genre and... One interpretation I am highly favoring is a Yuu who thinks they were abducted by a cult at first - aka. they saw the Opening Ceremony and instantly thought 'oh this is such a scam' but plays along with it. They give the name 'Yuu' as an alias, carefully making choices to handle these conveniently timed conflicts and 'overblots' to please the Headmaster. Full on thinking they're stuck in something like The Truman Show. Somehow they keep developing their own explanations for the magic, school, setting, etc. It's realistic - seeing is believing can only get you so far. They're trying to logic their way out of everything, even convincing themselves that they must be in a comatose dream as a last resort. It could also explain why they're so active for someone trapped in an alternate reality. Always choosing to be a bystander who's conveniently at the right place at the right time. At the start they're planning to escape, and by Arc 6 they're convinced it's all just some elaborate dream in their psyche. Which is why they stop asking Crowley to leave or mentioning their world ( plus the Mickey mirror) to everyone in twst - interpreting the discomfort as their brain pushing them away vs. the twst cast simply not wanting Yuu to go.
Arc Seven for those of you who know (I will not elaborate for the sake of spoilers) would 100% be where the crash-out of 'oh. this is real. these are real people.' happens. The chapter line up is perfect for the realization to slowly be brough about, and conclusion sets a precedence for an entirely new pathway other than 'Yuu goes home' for Arc 8.
Anywho. This is a premise I'm considering for a new series (perhaps a series of comics) as the completion of 'TWST: Hall Of Mirrors' nears publishing. I've considered many backgrounds for my own personal Yuu and pathways...but this one continues to linger with me.

❣️Dancing with Alastor in his radio tower❣️
{you all seem to like my fanfics!!❤️❤️Nsfw next time??🤭}
Tumblr media
It was late. 2 am. No sign of falling asleep any time soon. You decided to pay the radio demon a visit; you knew he would be awake.
As you approached his door, you heard his old-timey jazz music playing and smiled. His on air sign was off so you knew he wouldn’t mind you coming to see him. You held your fist up to the door, but it opened before your knuckles even touched it. You didn’t even have to knock; he knew your presence was there. “Hello there!” He smiled, as always. “Have you come to keep me company?” He asked as you took in every bit of his handsome appearance. Even at 2 am, he was dressed up in his fitted suit and bowtie. You blushed in embarrassment as you looked down at your pajamas and socks. Maybe I should’ve changed first. “Well, I couldn’t sleep so-“ you got cut off by him pulling you into the room by your arm. “Well I’m happy you’re here!” He exclaimed as he walked back over to his radio panel. “You know I’m a night owl myself, haha! It’s always nice to have someone to talk to! Would you like something to drink? I’ve got coffee, tea, water… or perhaps you’d like something stronger? Haha, I’m kidding!” As he rambled on and on, you smiled. You liked the sound of his voice and how much he talked; he liked when someone was there to listen to him yap.
You smiled and spaced out as he continued to be chatty. The warmth of his voice was friendly and comforting. You averted your eyes to the side and got lost in thought as his voice played in the background. “Well? What d’ ya’ say?” Was the line that snapped you back to reality. You blinked at him as he smiled at you. You were embarrassed. “Oh uhh..” you smiled nervously. He laughed. “Oh that’s quite alright, my dear.”
“I asked if you wanted to dance with me.” he smiled as he held his hand out. You gasped and took his hand without thinking. You could hardly contain your excitement. You couldn’t believe what he had just asked you. His smile was ever present as he pulled you in close to him, wrapping his other arm around your waist. You quickly became shy as your senses came flooding back. You were so overwhelmed with joy that you had forgotten something important. “What’s the matter? Don’t tell me you don’t know how to dance?” He teased as he looked down at you. It was true. You smiled nervously. He sighed. “Here. Put your other arm around my shoulder like I’m doing to your waist.” You followed his instructions. “Now, don’t you go stepping on my new shoes.” He teased as he took the lead. “And do try to keep up, dear.”
He smirked as he started spinning you around the room. The song that was playing had a quick and upbeat tempo. He moved through the steps like it was second nature, while you were tripping over your own feet. He laughed each time you tripped. You could tell he was enjoying watching you struggle as he smiled menacingly down at you. You let him have his fun for a while until you couldn’t take it anymore. “Alastor..” you said quietly. “Yes?~” he responded slyly. “Can you please show me how to do the steps?” You asked through a fake grin. “But you’re doing SO well!” He teased sarcastically. Obviously, that wasn’t true. You frowned and looked down as you tried hiding your disappointment. You were actually looking forward to dancing with him. He couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. He sighed and let go of your hand, walking back over to the radio. You watched him change the station to a slower song. He snapped his fingers and your pajamas turned into the dancing dress of your dreams, accessories and all.
Your eyes widened as he held out his hand again. “I’ll show you the steps this time.” He said, apologetically. You gave him a small smile before taking his hand again. “Now, when I move my right foot forward, move your left back.” He said softly. You did. “Good.” He praised. You followed along and got the hang of it pretty quickly. Soon, the two of you were waltzing around the room with no trouble at all. Though every once in a while, you’d trip and he’d bite back a laugh. “Now, remember what I showed you, dear.” You smiled in embarrassment. “Yeah, yeah..”
Tumblr media
A few songs had passed and you were getting tired. You started nodding off while waltzing. You gently rested your head on his chest and wrapped your arms around him, hugging him. He gasped and widened his eyes. He froze. “The audacity of this girl.” he thought to himself. He sighed and rolled his eyes. “I guess I can allow this.” He hugged you back. You smiled and nuzzled your face into his chest, feeling the fancy fabric of his signature coat. His embrace was warm and comforting. You felt safe to close your eyes knowing that he was there. At this point, the two of you were just swaying back and forth with no rhythm whatsoever. His soft humming along to the song acted as a perfect lullaby. Eventually, you stopped swaying. He tried to see your face but it was buried in his coat. You barely felt him pick you up as your eyes stayed closed. “Just as I thought.. she’s asleep.” He softly smiled and laid you down on his couch. He snapped his fingers and you were back in the comfort of your pajamas. Snapping his fingers again, he summoned a blanket. He tucked you in. He stood there and simply looked at your sleeping face for a moment; you were still wearing a smile. “Goodnight.” He spoke softly as his radio continued to play. You had spent the night sleeping in his radio tower as he watched over you.

Just Me, Her and the Moon
pairing: lando norris x reader
Tumblr media
The evening had settled into a comfortable rhythm. After a laid-back dinner of their favorite takeout, Lando and Y/N found themselves sprawled across their bed. The TV hummed in the background, though neither of them paid much attention to the movie playing. Y/N lays on her stomach, aimlessly scrolling through her phone, while Lando leaned against the headboard, occasionally stealing glances at her with a faint smile.
Every so often, Lando would lean over to show her a meme on his phone. “Look at this one,” he said, his voice tinged with amusement. “Tell me this isn’t you trying to parallel park.”
She glanced at the screen and snorted. “You wish. I’m a better driver than you on normal roads.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Better driver than me? Love, I’m literally a Formula 1 driver.”
“Keyword: Formula 1,” she shot back, smirking. “Take you out of a race car and you’re just a boy who’s scared of roundabouts.”
Lando gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. “Scared of roundabouts? I’ll have you know, I—”
“Missed the exit last week,” she interrupted, her laughter bubbling over. “Twice.”
He shook his head, fighting a grin. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“And you’re lucky you’re funny sometimes,” she retorted, rolling onto her back with a contented sigh. For a moment, silence fell over them, the kind that felt easy and comforting. She stared up at the ceiling, her thoughts drifting, until an idea sparked.
Y/N turned her head toward Lando, her eyes glimmering with mischief. “You know what we should do?” she asked, propping herself up on her elbows.
Lando gave her a wary look. “Do I even want to know?”
She grinned. “Let’s go to the beach.”
His eyebrows shot up. “The beach? At... what time is it? Almost midnight?”
“Exactly,” she said, sitting up fully now. “Think about it: no crowds, just the sound of the waves, the moonlight reflecting on the water. It’ll be magical.”
“Magical,” he repeated, his tone dripping with skepticism. “Or freezing. You realize it’s January, right?”
“Oh, come on, Norris,” she teased, crawling toward him and tugging at his arm. “Are you a Formula 1 driver or a grandpa?”
“Rude,” he muttered, though he was already moving to get out of bed. “Fine, but if I turn into a popsicle, it’s on you.”
“Deal,” she said brightly, hopping off the bed and pulling on the nearest hoodie—his, of course.
The drive to the beach was filled with their usual banter. Lando complained about the absurdity of the whole idea, though his playful tone betrayed him.
“You’re going to owe me so much hot chocolate after this,” he said as they parked.
“Consider it part of my charm,” Y/N replied, hopping out of the car and breathing in the crisp night air. She glanced at him over her shoulder. “Now, come on, slowpoke.”
The beach was quiet, just as she’d hoped. The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the sand and waves. She kicked off her shoes and ran toward the water, laughing as the cold sand squished between her toes.
“You’re insane,” Lando called after her, though he couldn’t help but smile as he watched her.
“And you love it!” she shouted back, spinning around with her arms outstretched.
He rolled his eyes fondly and jogged to catch up. As soon as he reached her, she grabbed his hands and pulled him closer.
“Feel that,” she said, her voice softer now as she gestured toward the horizon. “The sound of the waves, the stars... it’s perfect, isn’t it?”
Lando followed her gaze, his expression softening. “Yeah,” he murmured. “It is.”
They stood there for a while, letting the peacefulness of the moment wash over them. Then, predictably, Y/N broke the silence.
“Race you to the water?” she challenged, already taking off before he could answer.
“Cheater!” he yelled, laughing as he sprinted after her. The icy water lapped at their ankles, and Lando let out a dramatic yelp.
“This is freezing!”
“Don’t be a baby,” she teased, splashing him.
“Oh, you’re going to regret that,” he said, a wicked grin spreading across his face as he scooped her up effortlessly.
“Lando!” she shrieked, laughing uncontrollably as he pretended to toss her into the deeper water before setting her down safely.
By the time they made their way back to the car, their cheeks were flushed, their clothes damp, and their hearts full. The walk back up the beach was slower, their laughter subsiding into a quiet contentment. Lando draped an arm over her shoulders as they carried their shoes in the other hand, the wet sand sticking to their feet.
“Alright,” he said, breaking the silence, “I’ll admit this was... almost magical.”
“Almost?” Y/N teased, bumping him lightly with her shoulder.
“Okay, fine. Fully magical,” he relented, a grin tugging at his lips. “But you’re still insane.”
“And yet here you are, willingly joining me in my insanity,” she quipped.
He laughed, shaking his head. “What can I say? I’m a sucker for you.” He sang the last part, classic Jonas Brothers style, making Y/N roll her eyes and calling him corny.
As they reached the car, the sound of the ocean faded behind them, replaced by the gentle hum of the heater as they settled into their seats. Lando reached over to intertwine his fingers with hers, his thumb brushing softly against her knuckles.
Just as the warmth of the car heater began to sink in, Y/N let out a sudden sneeze. Lando glanced over at her, equal parts concerned and amused.
“Bless you,” he said, shaking his head. “I told you this was a bad idea.”
She sniffled, flashing him a sheepish grin. “Maybe, but it was worth it.”
He reached over to tuck a strand of damp hair behind her ear, his tone softening. “Hot chocolate and a blanket as soon as we’re home. No arguments.”
“Yes, Grandpa,” she teased, her voice playful despite her slightly stuffy nose.
Lando groaned, though the smile on his face betrayed him. “Unbelievable.”
As they pulled into the driveway, the house standing quiet and inviting, Y/N yawned, her head tilting back against the seat. Lando turned off the car, pausing for a moment to look at her.
“You really are something else, you know that?” he said softly.
She blinked at him, her eyes warm and filled with affection. “Good something else or bad something else?”
“Good,” he replied, leaning over to kiss her gently. “Always good.”
And just like that, the night ended the way it began: filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments that made everything else fade away.

neighbors (matthew sturniolo)
the final.
The soft hum of music played in the background as I sat on the back porch of our cozy home, sipping iced tea and watching the sun dip below the horizon. My mind was racing, my heart full of anticipation. I glanced down at the diamond ring sparkling on my finger and then at the small, wrapped box sitting on the table beside me. Tonight was the night I would tell Matt something that would change our lives forever.
The smell of lasagna—Matt’s favorite—wafted through the open kitchen window, mingling with the crisp evening air. I had spent hours making sure everything was perfect. Candles flickered on the dining table, casting a warm glow over the room. It was intimate and special, exactly the way I wanted this moment to feel.
The sound of Matt’s car pulling into the driveway made my stomach flutter. A minute later, the door opened, and he stepped in, his hair slightly damp from the rain outside and a playful smile on his face. He looked as handsome as ever, carrying that effortless charm that still made my heart skip a beat.
“Something smells amazing,” he said, shrugging off his jacket and hanging it by the door.
“It’s your favorite,” I said, trying to sound casual as I turned to greet him. “I figured we could have a nice dinner together tonight.”
He leaned down to kiss me, lingering just a little longer than usual. “You spoil me, you know that?”
I laughed nervously, biting my lip. “Well, you deserve it.”
We sat down at the table, the clinking of silverware and soft music filling the space as we ate. Conversation flowed easily—he told me about his day, and I listened, smiling at how animated he got when he was passionate about something. But all the while, my mind was racing. I could feel the weight of the surprise I was about to share, and my nerves were building by the second.
As Matt reached for his second helping, I cleared my throat. “Actually, before you eat more, I, uh, got you something.”
He froze mid-reach, his brow furrowing slightly as he looked at me. “What’s the occasion?”
“No occasion,” I said quickly, my voice shaky but steadying. “Just… open it.”
I slid the small, neatly wrapped box across the table to him, watching his expression shift from curiosity to confusion as he untied the ribbon and lifted the lid.
Inside, nestled between layers of tissue paper, were a tiny pair of black baby Converse sneakers, a onesie, and a folded note. He picked up the note first, his hands trembling slightly as he opened it and read the words I had written:
“You’re going to be a dad.”
For a moment, he just stared at the note, his expression unreadable. Then, he looked up at me, his eyes wide and glassy with disbelief. “Are you serious?” he asked, his voice barely more than a whisper.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I nodded. “I’m serious, Matt. We’re having a baby.”
The next thing I knew, he had pushed his chair back and was around the table, pulling me into his arms. He held me so tightly I could barely breathe, but I didn’t care. I wrapped my arms around him, feeling the overwhelming joy radiating from him.
“We’re having a baby,” he repeated, his voice breaking. “I’m going to be a dad.”
I laughed through my tears, pulling back just enough to look at him. “You’re going to be the best dad, Matt.”
He cupped my face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears streaming down my cheeks. “And you’re going to be the best mom,” he said, his voice filled with so much love that it took my breath away.
He kissed me then, deeply and tenderly, as if he were trying to pour every ounce of his love and excitement into that moment. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against mine, his eyes locked on mine.
“This is the best surprise of my life,” he whispered. “I love you so much, Y/N.”
“I love you too,” I said, my voice shaky but full of emotion.
The rest of the night was a blur of happy tears, excited planning, and Matt repeatedly asking if I needed anything—water, a blanket, a foot rub. He was already in full dad mode, and it made me laugh and cry all over again.
By the time we went to bed, the tiny baby shoes sat on the nightstand beside us, a perfect reminder of the new chapter we were about to begin together. Matt held me close as we lay in the dark, his hand resting protectively over my stomach.
As I drifted off to sleep, I felt a peace and joy I had never known before. Our journey had brought us here.
The last five years had been a whirlwind—a mix of life’s most beautiful highs and some challenging lows. It was incredible to think about how far we’d come, how much we’d grown, and how deeply our lives had intertwined with those we loved most.
Chris and Charlie had been the first to take a big step into parenthood, and it was as if the whole world shifted when they welcomed their daughter, Grace, into the family. Grace had her dad’s bright eyes and her mom’s unstoppable energy, and from the moment I held her for the first time, I was completely smitten. Charlie became my go-to for mom advice as I watched her navigate the ups and downs of parenting with equal parts grace and humor. Matt and I joked that Grace was prepping us for when we had kids, but deep down, I loved seeing Matt with her. He’d lift her onto his shoulders, make silly faces, and read her bedtime stories with so much enthusiasm you’d think he was auditioning for a Broadway play.
Nick introduced us to his boyfriend, Jonah, it was like the last puzzle piece of Nick’s life fell perfectly into place. Jonah fit right into our little group, his dry humor balancing out Nick’s dramatic flair. Seeing Nick happy and thriving in his relationship warmed my heart.
As for Matt and me, our love story continued to evolve. It hadn’t all been smooth sailing—far from it. About three years ago, we hit a rough patch that tested everything we thought we knew about our relationship. We were just drained and disconnected. Small arguments turned into bigger fights, and for the first time, I wasn’t sure if we could make it through.
Chris and Charlie stepped in, running what I can only describe as an unofficial couples therapy session. They had us over for dinner, let us vent, and then helped us unpack what was really going on. They reminded us why we fell in love in the first place and encouraged us to put in the work to fix what was broken. And we did. It wasn’t easy, but we came out stronger on the other side, with a deeper understanding of each other and a commitment to never let things get that bad again.
One of the most meaningful moments in the past five years was when Matt asked my dad for his blessing to propose. I didn’t find out about it until after the fact, but when my dad told me, I cried like a baby. My dad has always been my rock, and knowing that Matt went to him, nervous and earnest, to ask for his approval meant the world to me. My dad, of course, gave his blessing without hesitation, and the two of them had a moment I wish I could’ve seen.
The proposal itself was straight out of a fairy tale. Matt planned a vacation for us to Italy, a place I’d always dreamed of visiting. We were on the Amalfi Coast, walking along a secluded beach at sunset. The sky was painted in shades of pink and gold, and the gentle waves lapped at the shore as Matt led me to a spot where a picnic blanket was set up with wine, fruit, and candles.
I was in awe of the romantic setup, completely oblivious to what was coming. As we sat there, sipping wine and watching the sun dip below the horizon, Matt reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice trembling slightly, “these past years with you have been the best of my life. I can’t imagine a future without you in it. You make me a better man, and I want to spend the rest of my life proving how much I love you. Will you marry me?”
I barely managed to get out the word “yes” before I was crying and laughing and kissing him all at once. The ring he slid onto my finger was perfect—simple and elegant, just like us. That night, under the stars, we celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in our lives.
Looking back, the past five years were filled with so many moments—some difficult, some joyful, but all of them meaningful. They were ours, and they brought us to where we were now: engaged, happy, and ready to take on whatever came next together.

Kinktober - Day 11 - Choking + Restraints
Tumblr media
Kinktober 2024 Masterlist
A/N : Hey everyone ! Started working on this Kinktober episode (part of the Dom!Marshall x Sub!Reader series) a lifetime ago but I finally took the time to finish it. Hope you enjoy it ❤️. Tagging @tiny-gay-satan who always showed love for this series 🥺
CW : BDSM - Dom/Sub dynamic - Punishment - Restraints - Choking - Spanking - Brattiness
It was another weekend you spent with your Dom. He’d had a rough week at work and the usually firm structure had given way to something more relaxed. You still had your rituals but you could tell he didn’t feel like enforcing protocols. He went surprisingly easy on you, but you didn’t mind. You had spent most of Saturday lounging around and cuddling lazily on the couch, true crime documentaries playing in the background. He made a few comments about you needing to get to your chores, but you suspected it was mostly out of principle, since every time you attempted to get up, he pulled you back to him. This caused you to relax even more, enjoying Marshall’s presence, happily indulging his need for proximity. However, you couldn’t help but gently tease him. « You’re unusually clingy, Sir » you playfully remarked. « You’re complaining about that, now? » he asked, rolling his eyes. « I’m just thinking it’s time you admitted you can’t get enough of me » you giggled. « Yeah, you wish » he mumbled with a false exasperation, though you could feel him tighten his embrace around you.
By Sunday morning, the playful mood was in full swing, and you shared some witty banter while you prepared breakfast. Marshall was leaning against the kitchen counter, nibbling on a slice of toast while you were flipping pancakes in a sheer nightdress that left nothing to the imagination. He was staring at you, shamelessly admiring your body, which he had leisurely mistreated the night before, leaving a whole new set of bruises and hickies all over it.
« I see you staring, Sir » you hummed teasingly. « Has no one ever told you it’s rude? ». He shook his head and took a few steps, standing behind you, as he placed a hand on your hips. « I can stare all I want. Because you’re mine » he reminded you in a low voice. « Also, you might want to think twice before trying to call me out on my manners. Don’t forget your place, sweetheart ». The smirk on his face made it impossible for you to resist. You just had to keep teasing him. « If you don’t want me to call you out on your manners, maybe you should start by having some… Marshall ». You knew exactly what you were doing. You knew for a fact that the deliberate use of his name was testing the limits. Unfortunately, you were unable to turn the « chaotic mode » off. And, deep down, you wanted to blame your dom. After all, he was the one who hadn’t enforced the usual structure. It was on him, really… However, the way he raised his eyebrow made it clear that he would not agree with your analysis of the situation. « Uh-huh » he said as he reached for your arm and forced you to turn around and face him. « You want to rethink that, Y/N? ». You shook your head, feigning bravery, though the sparkle in your eyes betrayed your amusement. «Nope. You’re not that scary. » you giggled.
Annoying him had been one of your favorite activities for years and, clearly, when you started, you couldn’t stop until he made you. And by judging on the look in his eyes, he was planning on it. The grin on his face grew wider as he straightened up, unfastening his belt with deliberate slowness. The soft clink of the buckle made you freeze, your gaze flicking from his hands to his face, where he wore an expression of playful authority. You stared into his eyes, biting your lip. You weren’t planning on him having his way with you, pretty sure that he’d opt for some punishment, but you were not going to complain.  « Shall we go upstairs? » you asked in a tone that wavered between defiance and anticipation. « Or are we doing this here? ». He shook his head and reached for the buttons, turning off the stove. Clearly, the pancakes would have to wait. « Turn around » he ordered, his voice low and teasing. You did as you were told, arching your back so that he could appreciate the view of your bare ass under the see-through nightdress. You heard him. Pull the belt free from his jeans and understood just how mistaken you had been. He was indeed planning on punishing you.
It had been a while since you had been disciplined but maybe it was what you needed. He got closer to you, trapping you between the counter and himself. You could feel his chest against your back, the weight of his presence making an impression on you. He grabbed one of your arms, then the other, and you felt the cool leather of the belt slide over your wrists. In a couple of movements, he tugged so that you’d move where he wanted you to, and looped the belt through the nearest drawer handle, your wrists gently but firmly secured in place. « There, » he said, stepping back to admire his handiwork, a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. « Now maybe you’ll think twice about slacking off and calling me by my name when I’ve clearly earned better. »
Any other day, it would have been enough for you to back down. Not this time though. A flicker of mischief appeared in your eyes. « Right. Sorry. I should have used your title… My apologies…Dumbass ». He raised a hand to your face and cupped your jaw, holding it firmly. « My title, Y/N » he ordered. « Fine » you whispered, and he let go of your face. « Dr Dumbass ». You could see the exasperation on his face, mixed with playfulness. You had never been this bratty before. Before you knew it, he was grabbing your throat, gently squeezing. « You really are a little bitch, this morning » he commented. « Thankfully, you made just enough pancakes. So I’ll eat while you think about your actions, pet ».
Without another words, he helped himself to a plate of pancakes and went to eat at the table, while you were still restrained, attached to a drawer. You looked at him in disbelief. « Wait… really? » you mumbled, to which he replied with a smirk. « Look, I get it : you clearly don’t like when I’m nicer » he shrugged. « So now, be a good girl and let me eat in peace, will you? ». The amusement on his face was visible and you arched an eyebrow. If he thought restraining you would make you less of a nuisance, clearly, he didn’t know you. You moved your wrists a little, just enough for the drawer to make an annoying noise. You could see him roll his eyes, but not waiver. « You’re cute. But it’s not working, pet » he chuckled. « And the longer you keep this going, the longer you’ll stay like this » he warned. He went on to enjoy a few more bites of pancakes, unbothered by the clinking and chattering of the drawer, before getting up to make coffee. « Might want to be careful there, Sir » you hummed innocently with a hint of amusement. « Why? » he asked with a raised eyebrow. « Because that’s an awfully hot coffee pot » you chortled with a nuisant smirk.
He let out a loud sigh and crossed his arms, but you could see a faint smirk on his face. « You never stop, don’t you? » he asked as he gently shook his head. You giggled and shook yours in turn. « You know you like it » you teased. « You know you like me ». He took a step towards you and cupped your face. « Yeah, pet. I do like you. Please don’t forget it » he hummed. Before you knew it, he was grabbing a roll of gaffer tape from a drawer and cutting a piece, before slapping it on your mouth, muzzling you. You stared at him in shock, though your eyes betrayed your amusement. « Since you can’t use your safe word or safe move, if you want to stop, you hum three times, understood? » he directed, to which you nodded.
If the past few months had taught you anything, it was that when he gave these kind of instructions, there was no coming back. You could feel the tension between the two of you, his eyes slightly darkening. « Now that we shut up that mouth of yours, I think I should get to the next step and give you what you deserve for running it » he said sternly. He cupped your face and stared at you with a grin before turning to grab a spatula. « You’re lucky I’m taking a clean one and not the one you used for the pancakes » he hummed, before forcing you to turn around. You didn’t think much of his choice, highly doubting that a spatula would inflict much pain. Rookie mistake, apparently. Yours arms were a little contorted as he turned you around and pushed the nightdress up to reveal your bare ass, before inflicting the first blow. You couldn’t help but gasp - which, due to the tape on your mouth, translated into some sort of whine. Your dom gently shushed you, reminding you of who was in charge. «That’s fine, doll. You need a little reminder of your place. And I’m going to Gove it to you ». You let out a sound, half-hum, half-wine that betrayed both your approval and anticipation. You were at his mercy, your harms contorted in an unlikely and, frankly, uncomfortable position that only added to the feeling of surrender. For what seemed like an eternity, your dom reminded you of who was in charge, smacking the brattiness out of you, hard enough for the sting to be replaced by a sensation of numbness. « Still want to make fun of me, pet ? » he whispered in your ear, to which you replied by shaking your head. « Good girl » he praised in that low voice of his, that had you feeling like putty in his hand. He gently cupped your face and brushed the tears that had rolled on your cheeks with his thumb. He knew they weren’t tears of pain, just proof of the emotional release caused by the blows he had inflicted.
Marshall leaned down to press a chaste kiss on your forehead. « Guess you needed that, huh ? » he asked softly. You nodded vigorously and you could see his eyebrows knitting. « More ? » he asked carefully. You froze for a second, pondering the implications. Did you need more ? Did you want it ? You stared into his eyes and slowly nodded. « Okay » he almost whispered, before examining your ass cheeks. He carefully ran the palm of his hand over them and you immediately winced at the contact. Clearly, you couldn’t handle more of that impact play - and you knew you were in for a rough next couple of days. When Marshall faced you again, he looked almost apologetic for a second, before stepping closer and wrapping his large hand around your neck, not squeezing yet. His baby blue eyes stared into yours, waiting for you to consent. When you finally nodded, he allowed himself to slowly squeeze, positioning himself so that he could choke you from behind. Your ass was burning, your contorted arms were hurting, and breathing was becoming increasingly difficult, the airflow already being limited by the gaffer tape over your mouth. You had no choice but to fully surrender to him, and it brought you a feeling of peace absolutely unmatched. You closed your eyes, enjoying the sensation of him behind you, one hand on your throat, the other on your hip, firmly maintaining you in place. « You done being a bitch, now ? » he growled in your ear. His tone had you melting, and it clearly didn’t do anything to solve the mess you were making in your panties. You let out a desperate whine that betrayed your challenged breathing but, before he could do anything, you heard an all too familiar voice. « Marshall ? ».
You froze and so did he. But before he could move and free you of your restraints, you were faced with his brother, who had clearly let himself in, as you knew he often did when he came over. Nate seemed absolutely terrified, a look of horror plastered on his face. « What the fuck ?! ».

You had no idea where you were at first. A light, then a flash of a person, multiple voices talking all at the same time. And the repeated sound of a machine.
A hospital? That was your first idea.
But what about the island ? The games ? Was all a nightmare your mind had conjured ? And what about your baby ?
Panic went throw your body, muscles screaming from your sudden move. You felt something in your nose, oxygen ? And your arms full of differents vials.
Soon a lot of nurses and a doctor came into the room. Trying to calm you down. Trying to settle you down and prevent you from ripping off the different medicines they were giving you.
But you did not respond. A sudden move made you hit someone, you had no idea who that person was.
Next thing you knew dark was once again taking over you.
The second time you woke up was different. Somehow your body felt lighter, like something was missing.
Wait.
Why was there a big pain in your stomach? Why did you feel less heavy ?
With trembling hands you moved the small hospital blanket and saw with horror a big scar on your belly.
The scream you left alerted the medical staff once again.
"Miss miss!! Please calm down, breath" A nurse said besides you
"My baby...you took my baby!! You screamed at her tears falling down your face. "Where is it? What did you do!!" The desesperation in your voice was clear, raw emotions filled you as you took a look around the white room.
"Miss listen please. You have been asleep for three weeks, your baby its fine I promise" The nurse said taking your hand "We had to remove it...your baby its a premature one but its fine"
"I want to see it, please"
The nurse gave a small nod signaling another nurse to go and find your baby.
"Take deep breaths, the doctor will come to check on how you are doing"
"I just want my baby, please I just want to see if its-"
The nurse returned a white blanket around a small body. Your body felt light like all was a dream. As she approached you and let you take a look. Your baby, sleeping without a care in the world.
"You can hold him Dear"
Him, it was a boy. A beautiful boy.
Carefully she passed the baby to you, you took it looking at him with so much love and care. You could not believe how something so fragile and cute could be here right now.
"Hello Little One...im your mom. Im sorry I was not here when you arrived"
The baby opened his eyes revealing deep dark ones, it did not scream at first reaching to touch your face with his small hand.
"Babys knows their mother" The nurse said smiling as she saw how you rocked the small kid a tiny smile on your tired face, and a few tears in your eyes.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~
Turns out someone from the staff found you outside unconscious and they took you into emergency care fast. Your vital signs were stable but they were still worry over your baby and the low amount of iron you had.
The first week you were in intensive care, the doctors and nurses checking you every hour, making sure you were progressing for good and so was your baby.
However, things got complicated and they had to proceed with a emergency cesarean when some tests came out wrong. You and your baby were in vital danger and that was the only option.
Your baby was born premature, being 2.5 kg low birth weight, it was took to special care since you were still unconscious and recovering from the surgery.
Luckly your baby started to gain weight as soon as they started to feed him with special formulas, it soon got good color and all his still under developing organs were alright.
It was safe to say that by the time you woke up your baby was healthier than you. Did you care ? Of course not, you would give your life for him.
Breast feeding him was easier than what you did initially thought. And everybody was happy that your baby was so eager to be natural feed. It was important for mother-baby bond.
Days went on, the Hospital where you were was close to the coast town you once lived. You were confused and wondered how you had ended up there. Last thing you did remember was eating food under the watchful eye of a guard then nothing.
You were suprised by the visit of your Friends from town, someone from the hospital had contacted them since you had no parents alive and your brother was not responding.
Even the bar owner from where you met In-ho came by, to scold you like a old father. How could you ran away ? They were a small yet powerfull town and they protected their people.
During these days lots of things happened.
You discovered that your debt was all paid, your brother was found in another country and was now paying for what he had done. You were not interested in the details of that.
Your original house, the one from the town was still under your name and clean as if someone had been keeping check on it. But no one knew a thing.
Once you were free from the hospital and at home with your baby you discovered another thing.
When going out to buy groceries and baby food, you checked your account only to see so many zeros...hell you almost fainted there.
But you did not win, then why ? Was this their way of compensation ? You were repulsed by it and for months did not touch the money till it became impossible to keep going without doing it. You could not work yet and the others insisted on you resting.
Life was once again slow...like all of what had happened was a nightmare. Something you had made.
Did you go to the police? No. You could only imagine what they would think if you ever decided to talk, and you wanted to keep your baby safe.
Oh your dear son...it had his father's eyes and your hair. A perfect and beautiful mix. You would cry at night thinking on him. In-ho....who could not met his son, and your son that would grow up without a father.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
Jun-ho stood besides In-ho part of him wanting nothing but to kill his own brother and other to...well he was still deciding on the first one.
"You shot me! Without a dam care" Jun-ho said to his older brother who just moved his gloved hand like it was nothing.
"You left me no choice, it was to keep you safe..."
"Thanks to you I lost my job because no one would fucking believe me"
"And you blame them?" In-ho asked "You are still a naive kid, but you are my family and my blood..."
"Why let Seong Gi-hun live? Why me ? You killed the others, the team..."
"Because, there is a small balance I have to keep" In-ho said voice cold and eyes sharp "I cant stop this. Its a never ending circle, its not up to me or you. Or anyone, it goes far beyond that"
"I still dont understand...what makes you think I wont-"
"I have a favor to ask you" In-ho cut his younger brother off, who gave back an incredulous look.
"Really? After everything, you have the face to ask me for a favor?"
"You have a newphew" In-ho started pulling out the pic of a woman and a small kid, a few months old. "I met her once, then here again" He smiled saddly at the memory "Such a cruel fate...but I loved her, and him.." His finger passed over the photo.
"...You must be kidding me" Jun-ho said letting himself fall besides him in the dark couch "You- Do you realize how fucked up this is ? And what ? What do you want me to do ?"
"Check them for me. She does not have a family, and im dead to her-"
"Oh so you lied" Typical of him.
"Yes, it was for the best. Thats why im asking you to check on them. To be there for them. I dont care if you hate me but they, they deserve a family and I cant give them that"
Jun-ho pressed his lips seeing his older brother show a vulnerable side that was so...odd. So strange to see.
"Let me see them" Jun-ho asked looking at the pic, well various pics. You were smiling in most and the little baby looked healthy. He could not help but feel a jump at his heart, this kid was his newphew....even if his brother was far from perfect...He was right. Not you or the kid had the fault. And if he was the only family you two could get then he would do it.
"Fine, but im not doing it for you but them" Jun-ho accepted giving the pics back.
In-ho nodded taking a black envelope and passing it to him.
"What is this?" Jun-ho asked taking a peak inside.
"Your new name for when you met them, I never told her my real name. And some background so you dont go there without a reason. It would be too strange and last thing I want its to scare her"
Jun-ho took a deep breath opening the envelope getting ready to read and memorize his new identity.
Things you do for family.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~
One year passed. Your life was back to normal. Your dear son grow up everyday,  triying to give him everytning you could and be the best mom.
Reading different books and being helped by the older woman from town was like heaven. You could carry your life on your own.
Your Friends loved your son, the amount of gifts he would get each time they visited...you had to tell them to stop it.
There was the money too. While you could live your life without having to work you decided you wanted to do something with it. And after long talks and hours you finally decided what to do.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~
One morning you were just there, the TV on with a kids program as you studied some pappers. A knock at your door took you by suprise.
Slowly you got up and went there, still unsure but the person behind the door knocked again this time faster.
Jun-ho stood outside your door. Anxiety and fear on him. He had read your file and his background multiple times. But the idea of finally meeting you and his newphew....scared him a lot.
He knew he was not his older brother...knew he would not fill a place he had left. But he also wanted to be there for you and his newphew, after seeing how much you loved the kid...
The door opened and a heavy silence fell between both of you.
Jun-ho saw it all, the suprise on your face and the look of small recognition  over him. Even if him and his brother were not twins they did share genetics and by what he had read about you, you were not stupid, he was sure you were putting together the pieces by now.
"Hello" He paused not sure how to continue, even if he had prepared himself for this moment for so long.
"Hello...may I know who you are ?" You asked already blocking the door. Your eyes went over his face, taking the small details as your brain slowly connected him with In-ho.
Could it be ?
"Im Oh Jun-ho...In-ho's younger brother" He said the fake name with centrain disgust but hide it behind a smile.
"Younger brother ? He...he never said he had a younger brother..."
Of course not. He shot me that fucker-
"He is-was" he corrected himself "he was a reserved man", He went missing some time ago, the leads I followed made me come here. And some people said they saw you with him one night...
Well that was a lie. He knew that because thats whats he was suppose to say to you.
"Are you...still looking for him?" You asked your voice barely a whisper. Jun-ho could see your shoulder tremble, he knew you thought his brother was long dead, and it broke him to have to lie to you.
If you could only see how much you are hurting her
"Yes, thats why im here. Can I come in? I promise it wont take long. You can ask someone to come if you are not comfortable with a stranger in your home" Jun-ho added knowing you most likely would be a bit admant on letting him in.
And you were. Ever since you came back and saw that account with so much money,  you were always checking over your shoulder. A fresh set of alarms were installed at your house, and you made sure to double check everything.
It was safe to say you were ready to kill for your son. And even if this stranger had some resemblance with In-ho...
"Wait here" You told him closing the door and texting your friend who worked at the local coffee from town explaining everything
His responde came quick, telling you to bring the stranger there and that he would keep an eye on him and in your son.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
"Alright lets go" Jun-ho hear you said, he turned around his heart beating fast at the sight of his newphew and In-ho's son.
Genetics did not lie. It did look like him.
"Right....were to?" He asked trying not to eye his newphew too much to not make you suspect that he knew more than what he was telling you.
"There is a coffee shop near, we can talk there"
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~
Jun-ho knew when he was being watched. Years in the police and as a detective have sharpered his senses. Of course he knew the friendly barista was giving him the side eye since you two ordered a drink and took a seat on a table a bit away from the rest.
He also took note of the guy who came up with your drinks. A guy tall, taller than him and fairy muscular, he had give you a polite smile and almost a dead look towards him.
So far he did not feel very welcome. But it was fair. After all you were being lied and he was helping with that lie, so this was the smallest price he should pay.
If anything part of him should be greateful you had someone to look after you. He did read in your file about your parents death and the piece of trash your brother was.
Hell, he hoped he could be a better uncle than him.
"What did you want to talk about?" Your soft voice broke him from his thoughts
He blinked back and nodded, composing himself.
"As I said" He started slowly "Im In-ho's younger brother. He went missing a few months back...and I started to look for him"
Well months was a lie. Years by now.
"I used to be a detective in Seoul, I tried to find him and followed different leads but nothing would came out from it" He made a pause to take a sip from his coffee "Then I found out he was...hiding"
"Hiding?" You asked a bit scared.
So when we met he was hiding? Thats why he left so quickly?
"Yeah" Jun-ho felt his skin crawl back at the lies "I found out he was in debt and was going from city to towns. To avoid them. This was the last place he was seen..."
Jun-ho let the lie set on you. He could see your brain working, maybe trying to pull out dates and reasons too.
"Im sorry I was not faster" Jun-ho continued "I really wanted to find him, I wanted to bring him home..."
He saw you nod and a few tears forming on your eyes.
Jun-ho went to his pocket and pulled out a very old picture. A picture of a different time. When things were more simple.
"This is me and him" Jun-ho showed you "He was a fellow detective, I actually joyned the force becaue of him" Jun-ho said smiling at that time when he was inspired by In-ho.
You took the pic traseing on the younger features of In-ho, he looked happier, less tired and stressed than what you did remember from the games...
"And...you think he-"
The cries from your boy stopped you. You took him out from the stroller to try and shh him down. The little bundle of joy was just boring for what it seems. You checked the time and saw that his feed time was still for another hour.
"Sorry to ask but...that baby" Jun-ho started not really knowing how to proceed.
He saw you pull the baby closer to you, like you were trying to protect him from the world. Or maybe from him.
"I-" You took a deep breath calming yourself and your baby down. "Its true what you know. I did met your brother. We met one night at the local bar. The one near the docks. We passed the night together but he was gone when I woke up" The words died in your throat as you remember all the times in the game and the soft moment during Migle. When he was able to touch your belly and talk to his kid. "I discovered I was pregnant, but for personal reasons I left this town for some time"
Jun-ho did know. It was scary how much he knew but he faked that this was all new.
"My brother left a debt on me. I had to work in Seoul to pay it off. I was then able to return here. If In-ho was here during that time...I cant known. I was not here. Im sorry I cant help you more"
Like In-ho had told him, you would most likely not mention the games, the money you got, or the fact that you believed he was dead.
Jun-ho nodded and a few minutes of silence passed between both of you. Each one with their own thoguhts.
"I never got your name Miss.."
"Oh...its (Y/N)" You responded being too caught up to even think of that.
"And your son's name..."
"In-ho" Jun-ho felt his heart fell "I named him after his father"
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~
Even if the start of the conversation was tense and full of doubts on your side. The more you talked to Jun-ho the more relaxed you got. He showed you some more pics of him and In-ho and even shared some stories from when they were young.
It helped you to imagine how he was and how he could have been if he was outside with you and your son.
"I dont want to interrump in your life" Jun-ho had said as both walked together to your home "But I cant ignore the fact that I have a newphew...and if you let me I would love to be part of his life. I dont want to replace In-ho, I know I could never do it"
You looked at Jun-ho's eyes for any indication of a lie or ulterior motive. But found nothing, just a Man, a brother lost in the look for his older brother and now finding out that he was an uncle.
At the end your kid was an extension of In-ho, and you could not blame Jun-ho for wanting to be part of his life. If anything it was quiet cute and a noble wish.
"I...I dont mind if you are part of his life. Well our lives. I cant say im kind on going to Seoul but-"
"No, thats fine. I can work with what you are more comfortable" Jun-ho said remembering the strong emphasis his brother had made on pulling your needs first.
"Thanks, its a city that just brings back bad memories..."
Jun-ho nodded once more. He took out his phone and offered it to you.
"You can put your number..or I can give you mine. You dont have to save it just..."
"I will give you mine" You softly said pulling your contact information and giving it back. "Do you plan on staying more days at the town?"
Honestly? No. Jun-ho was already planning on leaving to rest in the next town and then go back to his brother.
But...a few more days could not hurt...
"Yes..I think I have a reason to stay for a few more days" He said smiling at the baby.
You smiled back then after giving it a long thought asked "Would you like to hold him?"
"Really?" Jun-ho asked being taken back so much he did take a step back and felt dumb for it.
"You are his uncle...I trust you will not let him fall" You said getting your kid who blinked at you giving a soft smile
"Never. I would never hurt him" Jun-ho said with maybe more force than needed.
When he felt the baby in his arms he felt so much. The little thing looked at him, curious on who this stranger was.
His little hands went to touch his shirt and Jun-ho could not help but smile. It did resemble the old baby pics his mother had of him and In-ho and in a way it felt wrong that he was holding his son before him.
But at the same time. He felt a deep connection, call it genetics, call it love, whatever it was Jun-ho did swear there that no harm would ever come to this kid. Or you, even if you deserved more than a lie. He would make sure you and your kid were safe.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
4 Years Later
Laughted filled the kid's park as some ran playing tag and others pulled their friends in the hammocks.
Your son, now five years old was lost in a game of tag with other kids from his school. Part of his hair flew in the air under his hat as he smiled when he was tagged and went for another kid.
You watched it from a near bench. Your work being flexible in hours was a plus when it came down on passing time with him.
"Mom" His sweet voice called as he came running with a bit of sweat. The summer was soon coming and the heat was just staring.
"Yes In-ho?" You asked adjusting the hat on his head. After years you have been able to say the name without it hurting that much to the point of hold back tears.
"Yejun and the others wants to go to the near store to get ice cream, pelease mom can I go too?"
You knew he was begging to go alone with his friends. Even if you knew everybody at the Town and Jun-ho had been a presece on his life and yours that made you feel less lonely and safe...you still got worried over him. Like any mother would.
"Alright" You said giving him a bit of money "But stay close to Yejun, you think you can do that little one?" You asked smiling at him.
"Mom! Im five now" He said taking the momeny and blushing "But yes! I wont separate from them"
"Thats my son" You said seeing him go off with Yejun and the others.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~
A few months back on a different location:
In-ho stood over a big map, the island map and the new games that would be incorporated. It demanded new structures and more space. But after the last ones he needed to make this ones better.
The room was filled with soft jazz as he looked over the map and then at the games, a headache forming.
"Too much work for you?"
A voice he thought he would never hear in a situation like this one asked mocking him.
In-ho did not turn when Gi-hun entered the room, wearing clothes that resembled his own. The shaped mask removed.
"Its thanks to you that I have to make this games better" In-ho bite back getting a laught from Gi-hun
"The VIPs did not like seeing two lovers die last game and lose to me?" He asked getting a sound from In-ho
"Of course not. They are greedy pigs we both know it" In-ho responded turning back to look at Gi-hun.
If anyone would have told him that ex-player 456 and him would work together at the island In-ho would have actually laughted because the idea was absurd.
But here they were now. Usually Gi-hun was more on the security part. Kind of funny since he once wanted to end the games. But he also took a big part on picking up who the different recruiters have to to for.
"What do you want?" In-ho finally asked knowing Gi-hun would prefer to be on his part of the island than with him.
"I was just passing and seeing the calendar" Gi-hun said taking a seat. "The deadlines are close and your progress has been...rather slow"
"Im working on it. I will have it" In-ho said giving him his back again.
"I know its because of that woman and your kid. The kid's birthday is coming right?"
"Careful with what you say" In-ho said now fully turned killing Gi-hun with a simple look. But Gi-hun was not affected by it.
"You know, I did suspect you two were closer than what you two let out during the games...but to think you were the father.."
"Get to the point Seong" In-ho grunted
"I have a daughter too. She its in America as you know. Everyday I ask myself If i did the right thing getting back here and not going to her..."
In-ho said nothing already feeling where this conversation was going.
"But I change. I was never a good father. I tried but it was never enough. And after the first games..I was a mess. I could not see myself raising her. No after what I have done"
The jazz music played for a few seconds before he continued
"But its different with you. (Y/N) met you after you did win and while you were the only one moving this games. You two managed to connect and even create a life"
"She thinks im dead. And its better that way" In-ho said trying to even convince himself
"Dont you miss her ? Or your kid ? Dont you ever think on going to them ?"
Of course he did. Multiple times. The first two years were hell for him. Getting updates from Jun-ho about you and his son. His son who you have named after him. He did play the idea of going to you, maybe telling you everytning...but he was also scared. How would you react to it ? Knowing that after everything he was alive and on top of that he was the one behind the games ? No. He could never do that to you.
"Of course I miss her, I miss both of them. But seeing me would only make her miserable. She has my brother to help her out and my son has a great uncle. They dont need me"
Even it hurted so much to say it.
"Im just saying, I believe you have a chance. Your situation with her may be....complicated but if there is love then there is a chance"
"Since when did you become a psycologist?"
Gi-hun just laughted but without meaning it. Standing up he acomodated his clothes back.
"Im just saying, you may live in misery the rest of your life if you dont do something"
"Get out" Were the only words Gi-hun got in response.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
Present time:
In-ho ran behind Yejun and the others, ice cream in hand.
"Cmon run faster!!" Yejun called over his shoulder and In-ho tried to without letting his ice cream fell.
A hard air breeze hit him on the face pulling out his hat.
In-ho watched it flew back, running towards it. It was a hat Jun-ho his uncle had got him. He could not afford to lose it.
Plus you would be pissed and would remove his game rights for a week at least.
Just as he was about to pick it up another hand a bigger one did.
Both In-ho's looked at each other. One not knowing the connection they did share and the other with the hear up in his throat at the sight.
Yes He had seen the pictures, but there was nothing that could compare on seeing his son on the flesh. He had his eyes and your hair. Being a perfect combination of both of you.
"Sir...thats my hat. Can I please get it back?" In-ho asked keeping a safe distance from the strange man.
In-ho smiled nodding offering the hat back, his son eyed him for a moment then took it making sure it was well put on his head.
"You should not lose it. Its a good hat" In-ho said getting a look from his son who gave a bow back.
"No I wont, thanks Sir!" He responded bowing
"I dont think your mother would like you losing it"
He saw his son's eye get bigger and he almost laughted at it.
"N-no, she would hate me for that"
"Hate its a strong world. She would be angry but im sure it would pass" In-ho said now a full smile on his face.
"...Yeah but she wont let me play videogames if I lost it" He hear his son whisper. He also took notice of the ice cream now starting to melt. He pulled out his wallet and handed some wones to his son who did not move.
"Your ice cream is melting, this is so you can buy a new one"
"Mom says to never accept things from strangers that everything has a price" His son responded making him smile even more.
"Your mom its very intelligent, if I tell you my name would you accept it?"
He saw his son brain go wild but at the end nodding.
"Im Oh In-ho"
If his son's eyes could get any bigger then these would be out of his face. His mouth open in suprise.
"You....you and me- we"
"IN-HO!! IN-HO DEAR WHERE ARE YOU" The desesperated screams from you cut his son's words off.
"MOM!!" In-ho called turning back seeing you going towards him with Yejun and Yejun's mom behind.
"What did I tell you about staying with Yejun?" You asked checking him for any injury "What happened ? Why did you got separated?"
"A strong wind took my hat and then this man returned it and even offered me money to buy ice cream since mine is melting-"
"Men? What men?" Yejun's mom asked looking around
"What? He was right...there" In-ho said to a now empy space with only some wones on the floor now.
"We should go back. I will tell the police to check this zone" Yejun's mom adviced you taking his own kid's hand.
"Yes, lets go In-ho"
"But mom! The Man and I had the same name!!" In-ho said all too happy to notice the look on your face.
"What..."
"Yes!! He told me his name was In-ho too, and that since I knew his name I could take the money"
For a few seconds you did not move or say a thing. It could...no it could not be. Maybe it was another men with the same name.
"Lets go In-ho. I will get you another ice cream on the way home"
"But mom the money..."
"Leave it, and you are grounded"

For your son that day was lost in his memory like many others. For you it was a day that made you get hope back. Hope that maybe just maybe In-ho was alive and because of the danger he was not showing himself.
But even if that was the case. Time passed, and never a thing like that one happened again.
Jun-ho had listened to your rant that same night throw the phone trying to calm you down while thinking that he would kill his brother. He came next day as a suprise visit for In-ho but it was to make sure you were alright.
And so, four more years passed. Your son now ten years old full of life. A top student, a kind soul.
He was now able to go on his own between home, school and your flower shop.
Yes, after lots of goes and backs you managed to start your own flower shop. It did take time but you were glad you did. It was the only one in the town and was near your house and In-ho's school.
Jun-ho had said it was fitting for you. He was there during all the tedious process till the big opening.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
"I will be going for his birthday" Jun-ho said to his brother in his aparment in Seoul.
"He will be ten by now" In-ho whispered drinking some beer Jun-ho had.
"Yes, (Y/N) planned a big party for him" Jun-ho said smiling at your different ideas
"She is a good mother" In-ho said smiling looking at the empy glass
"...You should go"
"Werent you the one who did threat me last time?  If I did show myself again ?" In-ho asked
"Thats because you ran away like a coward. (Y/N) was paranoid for days and her mental state got bad"
"Yes, thats why its better to go on like this"
"Really? Is this what you want? See your kid grow up from the shadows?"
"Jun-ho.."
"Listen I know, what you do is dangerous and you lied to her. But now its Gi-hun who does most of the things at the Island. You are there more like a face of sorts"
"Jun-ho I lied to her. She thinks im dead"
"I know. But so did I. I lied to her to help you. But I know her, I have know her for the past nine years. She still loves you, and I dare to say she still waits for you to return to her"
"She is good, but she wont ever forgive me.."
"Thats were you are wrong. Will she be angry? Yes, and with reason but will that anger be bigger than her love for you? No. Trust me on this. That woman...she loves you too much. You dont deserve her"
"I know"
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
"Uncle!!" The voice of In-ho sounded between the laught and other kid's voices.
Jun-ho smiled, seeing how tall he had got. Each day he looked more and more like a perfect mix of you and his brother.
"Hello Sport" Jun-ho called back messing up his hair.
"Stop it! Mom does this enough" In-ho said separating and re doing his hair.
"Does that mean you dont want your birthday gift  ? Directly from Seoul ?" Jun-ho asked crossing his arms and smiling when he saw the quick change in expression.
"No-no!! Of course I want it" In-ho said taking Jun-ho's shirt and seeing behind his back. "Where is it?!!"
"Wait wait, your birthday its tomorrow" Jun-ho said pulling him away but still smiling "Why dont we get some ice coffee for your mom and some ice chocolate for you?" He asked and his newphew nodded.
"Yes! Mom said there is someone getting married next town and they left her tons of work" In-ho started to say walking towards the coffee store knowing the route by memory with Jun-ho besides him.
"Really? And she can handle it alone?"
"She hired someone! Not sure who he is, does not talk much. Dark hair and kind of tall"
Probably someone In-ho himself sent Jun-ho tought rolling his eyes
"Uncle?"
"Mhm?"
"Are you upset?" In-ho inoccent voice asked "I- mom says we need to look out for these who care about and I dont want you to feel bad" In-ho said looking to the side.
Jun-ho smiled, his heart doing jumps at his sweet newphew. It did seem that he had got your caring personality.
"Im fine Sports. Dont worry, lets get you that ice chocolate and a drink for your mom"
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
This is a bad idea. In-ho's mind said as he walked the streets down where your store was. You should go back, nothing good will come from this.
In-ho stood just a few meters away from your shop. He sweet alluring smell of the different flowers hitting him.
He saw the guy he had sent to help you (not that you needed to know that) get out with lots of boxes and putting them inside a ban. He drove off. In-ho knew it.
It was now or never, the last chance.
~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○~○
You moved around the back of the store. Checking different recipes and dates. The weeding next Town have proved to be a challenge for you. So much you had to hire someone to help you out.
But things were going good. Even if some days your body hurt from moving so much. Or your fingers tremble from making the different flower arrangements.
It was worth at the end, seeing the happiness in others. It gave you a sense of...comfort, and part of you liked to think that In-ho watched over you. Specially when you tended the greenhouse right next to the store. The natural smell and the connection with the dirt...it felt good. It grounded yourself.
You would close your eyes and imagine that he was standing there. Just watching you work with a rare yet soft smile, one that was saved only for you.
"Mom? What are your favorite flowers?" You kid had asked when he was seven years old while you two planted some seeds.
"My favorite flower...and from where comes the question?" You asked back passing him something to clean himself up.
"Well...I like games. And animals, but I have a favorite one...and you like flowers"
"So I must have a favorite one then?" You smiled and he nodded
"Well....I think my favorite ones are Iris..and do you know why?"
He said no and you explained.
"There is a thing, called Language of Flowers, and in them Iris means Hope. I believe its a good thing to have"
"But we studied languages at class and that was never mentioned!" In-ho said somehow offended by the fact that such a thing was never teached to him.
"Oh my dear, I can teach you if you want" In-ho agreed almost getting up to go for some papper and pens but you stopped him.
"Shower first"
"But mom-" A single look from you made him stop "Alright"
A few weeks passed, while you were at the store In-ho entered running, almost knocking a few flowers.
"In-ho! No running inside the store" You said getting up and going towards him but he ignored you pulling out his notebook.
"A chrysanthemum Mom!! You are a chrysanthemum" In-ho said signaling a drawing of the flower then an arrow and a silly draw of you.
"What..."
"Because, chrysanthemum means eternal beauty !! And mom, you are beautiful and eternal" In-ho said showing you the meaning under the draw.
You cried hugging him.
"Mom? Are you...crying?"
"No Son...im just happy. Im just really happy.
The sound of the door opening indicating that a new costumer have arrived made you came back. Not hearing your son or Jun-ho's voice let you knew it was not them.
"One moment please!" You said giving the flower arrangement its final details, the white and pastel yellows giving the cala flowers its final touch.
You left it there and went to the front moving your hair, to try and look less of a mess.
"Welcome! How can I help you-"
Your world stopped. The air in your lungs vanished and your vision went from zero to thousand. A few tears forming.
There was no way, you blinked, maybe you were seeing things again.
But no, there he was. In the flesh. Chest raising and falling indicating that he was alive.
Your In-ho, the Man you loved.
"Hello (Y/N)...we meet again"

Notes:
ITS FINALLY HERE!! THE END OF THIS SERIES. Thanks a lot for these who read this since part one and waited till this end. I had a hard personal time but was able to pull it out!! I truly hope you like it.
And if you are reading this after you read this in one go Thanks too!!
This was my first series. I never really planned on making one. I wanted it to be two parts but I kept adding things. And then the ending got longer as my brain gave my more ideas.
And yes I used flowers for meaning, I google them! So if something is wrong...well sorry.
Questions you may have:
Is this really the ending?
A) YES!! This is the ending. Its happy or sad ? Not even I know, I would call it bittersweet.
Would you ever write more for this?
A) If I do its going to be pieces of them as family but nothing complex.
What was In-ho doing these nine years?
A) Working as the Front Man and being too scared too approach the love of his life. But he kept a close eye on her.
Why is Gi-hun now helping with the games?
A) Easy, because its a fanfic and I wanted that end for him. Besides i feel like it fits him. He is too broken to go back to a normal life.
The guy (Y/N)'s hires is the guard from S2 EP7 ?
A) Well he dies in canon but you can think its him but older!!
Did Jun-ho felt romantic feelings for (Y/N) at some point?
A) Up to you to decide! I dont think (Y/N) would ever move from In-ho so I can assure you. She never slept with Jun-ho or had any interest in him as a romantic partner.
What happened to (Y/N)'s brother?
A) Up to you! But he never shows again in her life and In-ho Jrs does not know about him.
Did my favs survive the games?
A) Again, up to you!!

Mom Plays BG3: Ep.2 - “Look at Him, He Wants It”
She’s getting better at moving around. It’s hard to explain but she doesn’t turn the camera to look around before she starts clicking around to move 😀
Mom: “I’m trying to go behind me.”
Me: “You should turn the camera so you can look behind you.”
Mom: “I’m worried I’ll get lost.”
Me: “I know a way to help you from getting lost.”
Both of us: *Silence.*
Me: “The map-“
Mom: “The map.”
Mom: *Slowly turns the camera - Not because she doesn’t know how, she just turns it very slowly for some reason.*
Mom: “I think… I need to walk that way…”
Mom: *Immediately starts clicking the opposite way she wants to go.*
Me: “You can… check the map.”
Mom: *Keeps clicking for a bit then stops.*
Mom: *Checks map.*
Mom: “Oh I’m way off.”
Me (softly): “yeah.”
*Both of us laugh.*
She’s definitely getting the hang of things. She successfully got to Zevlor’s office by herself using the map 🥲 They grow up so fast.
Rundown of what she has done this time:
While we were starting the game up she said “I kept thinking about what happened. It kept me up, I couldn’t sleep just thinking about him (Gale) getting mad. He really rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t know about this guy.”
Saved the kid from the Harpies. Actually, she did that yesterday, but I forgot to add it.
Saved Arabella but after failing two persuasion checks. She was stressed throughout that whole interaction. Before that, she had talked to Arabella’s parents but didn’t know what was going on and told them “thieves deserve to be punished.”
“I didn’t know what they were talking about! To be honest I have no idea what’s going on. Or what any of this means.”
Her first reload. Luckily I had her save before that. She then told them they had their work cut out for them lol.
She took the wyvern toxin from Nettie. (Afterwards I told her “Oh, she tried to kill me when I wouldn’t take it. We fought to the death.” My mom was just like “…Well. Doesn’t mean I have to drink it. I’ll just keep it. I wasn’t gonna take it, are you crazy?”)
We long rested and she talked to all of the companions. I think she really likes Wyll.
Told Zevlor she’d kill Kagha.
She stopped the Tieflings from killing Sazza, but failed a couple of persuasion checks. Left Sazza in the cage.
Sazza: “I don’t need you.”
Mom: “Well… that’s enough of that.”
Also accidentally clicked to search the body of that first Tiefling who died at the gate when the Goblins attacked, and right in front of the one mourning over his body 😬 Gets scolded.
Mom: “I didn’t mean it! Let me see if the other one wants to talk…”
Mom: *clicks on other mourning Tiefling.*
Tiefling: “Can’t you see we’re mourning!”
Mom: “I just came over to say sorry.” (Booked it after lol)
Killed the Bugbear assassin and saved the tiefling by the telescope.
Talked to the Tiefling and learned about soul coins.
When her TAV had the coin in her hand and was looking at it, Gale was in the background smiling.
Mom: *Points at Gale.*
Mom: “Hm. Look at him, he wants it. Uh-uh. This guy’s trouble.”
My mom is not afraid to use the illithid powers. If there’s an option to probe minds, she does it immediately lol.
She went to that area with the spider egg pouch and Raphael showed up there which confused me. (I’ve just always had him show up at the bridge. I had her save). Here’s the thing about my mom - she’s pretty religious and doesn’t like ‘devil’ stuff lol I collect tarot cards and she HATES it lol. It creeps her out. So Raphael shows up and transports her to the House of Hope with the feast on the table and the fireplace. My mom knows nothing about this guy. Her immediate reaction:
Mom: “Now this is more like it.”
I’m sitting behind her so she can’t see my reactions to what she’s doing and I’m losing my shit, wondering if she’ll make the deal or not. She’s been so unpredictable so far so I genuinely don’t know what she’s gonna choose.
Raphael: “What’s better than a devil you don’t know… A devil you do.”
Mom: *Silent.*
Raphael: *blah blah blah wants your soul.*
She doesn’t make the deal. Chooses the options that are like “I would never make a deal with a devil.”
Talks to the companions after and succeeds a check to probe Sharty Bae’s mind.
Talks to Gale last about Raphael.
Mom: “Okay now THIS guy.”
Gale: “Do you feel as flattered as I do? Invited to dine with the devil…”
Mom: “Of course you do.”
Mom: *Turns to me.*
Mom: “This guy.”
Gale made some valid points that she didn’t disagree with. I don’t think that Gale can say ANYTHING without her thinking he’s up to something. He did not make a great first impression lol She did slap his hand before she pulled him out of the portal.
Said he was addicted to magic but still agreed to give him magical items to consume, but she’s not thrilled about the whole thing.
OH YEAH SHE TOLD ROLAN AND THEM TO LEAVE THE GROVE. I’ve done two playthroughs and didn’t do that, so idk if that’s gonna change what happens to the tieflings at all 😬
She also takes time to read whatever notes or books I point out to her. I told her she didn’t have to, but she ignores me to read.
My mom @ Gale:

Lil Office Romance P.5
Terry Richmond X Black Fem OC  (Troi)
No warnings: Light heart fluff. A little flirty. CeCe makes a return,
" in the CeCe school of confidence skin is king!" Celeste held up a denim mini skirt to my body. "But if you're showing legs, the tatas need to be put away"
I almost want to open my Notes on the phone. I was always a comfort-over-style person this new education was gonna need some practice. Slipping on the skirt it fit perfectly.
11pm
Meeting Celeste's other friends was nerve-racking at first but they welcomed me into the fold like it was nothing
"It's Mama's first night out and that calls for a round of shots" Moonie who I came to learn just had a baby 3 months ago called out.
"I've never had a shot before" I called out nervously to Celeste
"They easy boo. We'll start off with green tea shots, the graduate up to the big leagues" Celeste handed me a green tinted liquid in a shot glass "Bottoms up babe"
"Oh, I like that. Can I have another?"
Celeste couldn't contain her laughter "Baby Troi is about to get loose"
Terry
1am
"Y'all nigga doing all that talking ready up again? Marcus you betta what you back fo' you have us loosing again" right as the game started my phone began to vibrate in my pocket,
Wifey 🍪💋
"Give me one-second dawg, my baby calling me"
"Baby nigga when you-" Jeremiah's voice was cut off as I pulled my headset off to put the phone to my ear.
"Hey pretty girl, you're up late?" My brows were locked together as I heard Cut Friends by Camflauge ringing out in the background
"Terry ! They're playing your song." Troi giggled "but you're not here to listen" I Could imagine the pout in her voice as she finished her last sentence
"That's okay baby, you having fun with Celeste?" I leaned back on my couch to get comfortable.
"Yeah, but I'd have more fun with you." I glad she couldn't see the look of shock on my face at her flirty tone.
"Troi, you been drinking baby? " a hiccup came through the speaker
"Well I had 4 no 5 green tea shots! And a drink called a ...." Troi hiccup again before dropping into a whisper "a pornstar"
A loud laugh erupted from me "I'm glad you're trying new things Pretty girl. You gone tell me when y'all leaving and when you're at home? "
"I don't wanna go home Terry, I wanna go with you"
I couldn't help my body's reaction at the thought of Troi pleading for me.
"Send me your location baby I'm on my way" slipping on my crocs and grabbing my keys. I was a man on a mission.
Troi
Celeste handed me a plastic cup filled with clear liquid
"CeCe I don't think I can have another drink." I knew I was already tipsy and I didn't want to be sloppy drunk like I saw other people at the club.
"Baby girl I wouldn't let you drink anymore, we can't have you blackout on our first night out" Celeste tilted the cup to my mouth.
The crisp water hitting my throat, caused the rest of my brain to catch up. I almost choked on my water when I realized who I was just on the phone with. "I just called Terry" I was able to choke out "and he's coming to get me"
I pulled my phone out of my purse to see that 7 minutes ago I had shared my location with him and he returned the action
I could see Terry's dot moving closer onto the map to where mine is stationary "What do I do Celeste!!!"
"Girl what you mean? You going home with you boo. I'll walk you out then I'm gonna drive Moonie home to her Baby. Then go see a man about a horse" Celeste grabbed my hand to pull me towards the door.
As soon as we were able to push through the crowd, I was able to spot Terry's truck creeping up the street cautious of the drunken Jaywalkers.
He pulled over to the side once he saw us, using his blinker to signal for people to go around. Terry look comfortable in his shorts and slides walking towards us
"Hey Pretty girl" Terry pulled me into a hug wrapping his arms around my shoulder. "You ready to go? Celeste you and I'm sorry I didn't catch your name?"
"Moonie" she spoke up smiling at me
"Moonie, yall need a ride home?"
Celeste answered this time "nope Terry, take your boo home we're good"
♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️
Terry
After making sure Celeste and Moonie were safely in the car. I helped Troi into my truck and buckled in I couldn't but sneak a kiss to her forehead
"You still wanna come home with me? " I placed my hand on her thigh close to the knee.
With a shaky breathe and almost what sounded like a moan "yes" passed her lips
This girl had no idea what she did to me
The drive to my house was short once we were out of downtown the street was almost empty, and Troi softly sang along to my mix playing on Spotify.
"Terry, I'm sorry I had you out so late. You can take me home if you want I don't wanna take up your weekend I already dragged you out-" I couldn't help but chuckle at her rambling
"Troi, I'll come stop anything for you and you can take up all my weekend baby" I place a kiss on her hand.
2 am
I heard the shower cut off, as I rummaged around the kitchen to find ibuprofen and a glass of water for what probably would be her first hangover.
"I didn't realize how gross I felt until I was clean" Troi entered the kitchen looking fresh-faced and drowning in the T-shirt I gave her for after the shower.
"It was the liquor, it will have you floating with the right mix" I shook out two pills into Troi's hand.
She swallowed them quickly downing the water right after. "My Daddy would always give me something sweet to give me medicine"
I moved so that Troi was trapped between my chest and the counter. "Something sweet huh? Like what" I teased
"Ummm....I can't really... remember "Troi's breath was minty from the mouthwash I left in the bathroom.
"You know my favorites were Hershey's" I pecked Troi face right where her lips met her cheek. To my surprise she turned her face and our lips met.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry Terry, I just..."Troi looked up to the ceilings
♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️♥️♣️ Terry
"Baby Shut up" I leaned in to grab the nape of her neck. I crashed my lips back into hers
Resting my lips onto hers felt like heaven on earth, and then I felt her tongue swipe against my bottom lip, as much as I wanted to keep the kiss PG knowing that Troi had been drinking the temptation to have a true taste of her was too much..
Troi sighed softly into my mouth at our tongue softly caressing each other was too much as the blood rush to the bottom half of my body. I disconnected my lips from hers hard as it was and rested our forehead together.
"Troi you know I respect you right?"
"Of course, Terry you're the most respectful man I know" Troi connected eyes with me brushing our noses together.
"Good, cause if we keep kissing like that you might not think so" I groaned leaning away.
I pull away to lead her to my bedroom to tuck her in.
"Terry, can you lay next to me? I always have a hard time falling asleep in a new place" Troi looked adorable with her hair pulled into a high bun, looking way too small for the king size bed.
"Of course Baby I'll be right here till you fall asleep." I climbed under the cover to keep her company.

When it comes to our 141 boys, who’s the best at cooking? No trigger warnings for this one.
You know it’s Kyle, YOU KNOW ITS KYLE. LOOK AT THIS MAN. He learned to cook growing up and his skills kinda just naturally grew. He definitely used it as a flirting tactic in his fuck boy era, but I imagine he really does enjoy cooking. He gets to play music and vibe around the kitchen, it’s relaxing in a unique way he often isn’t allowed. He can be a little boujie when he wants to be, and he enjoys making different cultural and ethnic dishes he doesn’t get to have on base. He also enjoys the plating and picking good drinks to go with them. Definitely posts pictures of his meals when they turn out the way he wants. Soap will inevitably comment “I’m on my way”, and then an hour later Soap posts a picture of him in Gaz’s house eating his food, way too excited about it and Gaz is in the background glaring at him cause Gaz gave him specific instructions on what drink to bring, and Soap comes over with the same bottle of scotch he always does.
Next, surprisingly, Simon. I imagine when he was younger he didn’t care at all. He would probably steal MREs and just horck em down because sustenance was sustenance, whatever was cheapest and easiest. Very much a bottle of ketchup, 3 beers, and a gun in his fridge type guy. As he gets older, and after therapy that he swore he didn’t need, he probably succumbs to it and tries. Realizes he needs to put effort into the whole “being alive” thing, and cooking just happened to be the thing he tried, especially since as he gets older he realizes he can’t force down half a pizza at 2am and not get heartburn. It’s medative for him, honestly. It’s a low stakes task for him to accomplish, keeps his mind and hands busy. There are clear steps to follow, maybe a video if he’s really confused. And at the end, he’s made something good that he gets to eat. It doesn’t always look the best but he always feels oddly proud about it. He’ll complain if anyone is in the kitchen with him, he hates that shit, actually. But he does like presenting something he made and watching other people enjoy his work. He will stare at people while they eat, and forget to eat himself at first, cause he’s trying to figure out if they actually like it or they’re lying. Unfortunately, it just looks like he’s glaring at you… he will pack you left overs to take with you.
Next is John, what can I say. He’s pretty okay at cooking. He’s not fucking anything up horrendously and most of his food comes out good enough. It simply wasn’t a skill he put a lot of effort into when he was younger. However, there are a few dishes that are his speciality that he nails every time and if his goal is to impress, he pulls them out. Also, he’s out here barbecuing. He’s such a fucking guy about it, too. Stands by the grill, has a whole marinade/seasoning situation that he insists is secret, he stole it off the back of a bbq bottle. Does NOT want anyone to mess with his meats, he’s in control of the grill, don’t touch, his control freak comes out. However, if you linger nearby too long you get dragged into a conversation about “protecting the integrity of the meat” whatever the fuck that means.
And at the bottom is poor Johnny. To be fair, it’s not exactly his fault. One of his issues is that he gets distracted easily, especially with cooking that requires wait times between steps. When he’s at home and his brain is allowed to relax he’ll walk away and then get caught up with something else and come back and remember he was supposed to be toasting the nuts, not burning them. He always wants to experiment with cooking and unfortunately it doesn’t always work. He takes the instructions as a suggestion and ingredients as suggestions, throws in seasonings where they aren’t needed or decides to pull something from the cabinet and toss it in. I think he’s the king of “I don’t know why but it works” combinations, and others will try to turn their nose up at it until they try it, and then they have to admit he was right. I do believe he is GREAT at being a kitchen partner. Give him a little task to do and he’s having a great time, does have a habit of always being in the way, but part of that is because he’s so fucking bulky. The funniest part is he is hilariously great at baking, cause that’s just chemistry and art and he’s great at both of those.

ᓚᘏᗢ — two worlds apart !

pairings﹕ itoshi sae x gn!reader
contents﹕ one shot, angst, lovers to strangers, wc: 836, proofread
Tumblr media
the time difference between japan and spain was eight hours. it wasn’t just time that separated you, though. it was the ocean, the unfamiliar cities, and the fact that itoshi sae had a life that didn’t include you anymore.
you hadn’t planned on falling in love with him. it had just happened. like breathing, like the way the sun set and rose again.
sae was like the tide, calm and steady, but he had always been destined to leave. you knew that from the start.
“i'll come back,” he’d said once, his voice soft but resolute. “when i'm where i need to be.”
you'd believed him because it was sae, and you wanted to believe.
but believing didn’t make the ache go away.
your phone rang at 2 a.m.
bleary-eyed, you fumbled for it on your nightstand, barely registering the name on the screen.
sae.
your heart leapt, even though you knew it shouldn’t.
“hello?” you whispered, your voice thick with sleep.
“were you asleep?” his voice was quiet, almost hesitant.
“it's two in the morning,” you replied, rubbing your eyes. “what do you think?”
he didn’t laugh, didn’t say anything for a moment. The silence stretched thin between you.
“sorry,” he muttered finally.
“it's okay,” you said quickly, sitting up. “what's up?”
“i just… wanted to hear your voice.”
your heart clenched. it was cruel, the way he said it, as if he didn’t know what those words did to you.
“sae…”
“i miss you.”
the words hit like a punch to the gut. you closed your eyes, letting the weight of them settle over you.
“i miss you too,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
but missing him didn’t change anything.
the thing about sae was that he was good at making you feel special, even when he was thousands of miles away.
he'd send you random photos, of the view from his apartment, of the Spanish streets lit up at night, of the meals he’d cooked but probably hadn’t eaten.
he'd text you good morning when it was midnight for you, good night when your day was just beginning.
and you’d let yourself believe, for a while, that this was enough. that his fragments could fill the emptiness he’d left behind.
but they couldn’t.
it happened on an ordinary day.
you were sitting in a café, your phone buzzing with notifications. a message from sae sat unopened on your screen. you hadn’t replied to his last one yet, too afraid of what your answer might mean.
when you finally opened it, it was a photo. sae, standing in a stadium, his arm around someone you didn’t recognize.
the caption read: Another win. Hope you’re doing okay.
you stared at the picture, the knot in your chest tightening. he looked happy. he looked like he belonged.
and you realized, with a sinking clarity, that you didn’t fit in his world anymore.
you called him that night.
he picked up on the second ring. “hey.”
“hey,” you said, forcing your voice to stay steady.
“what's up?” he asked, and you could hear the faint sound of a match playing in the background.
“are you busy?”
“not really,” he said, muting the tv. “what's going on?”
you took a deep breath, trying to find the words. “sae… i don’t think i can do this anymore.”
there was a pause. “do what?”
“this,” you said, your voice cracking. “waiting. pretending we’re okay when we’re not.”
“y/n-”
“i love you,” you interrupted, your chest tightening. “i always will. but this isn’t enough for me. not for you either. i can’t keep holding onto something that feels so far away.”
his silence was deafening.
“i don’t blame you,” you continued, tears streaming down your face. “you're chasing your dreams. you're where you’re supposed to be. but i can’t keep pretending i'm okay with being left behind.”
when he finally spoke, his voice was quiet. “i never wanted to hurt you.”
“i know,” you whispered.
“i still love you,” he admitted, and you could hear the pain in his voice. “but i don’t know how to fix this.”
“maybe we can’t,” you said, the words breaking something inside you.
neither of you said anything after that. the silence was heavy, final.
“i should go,” you said eventually, your voice trembling.
“y/n-”
“goodbye, sae.”
you hung up before he could say anything else, dropping your phone onto the bed.
and for the first time in a long time, you let yourself cry.
the time difference between japan and spain was eight hours.
it wasn’t just time that separated you, though. it was everything, the life he had, the life you wanted, and the realization that sometimes, love wasn’t enough.
you deleted his messages the next morning, one by one. and as you walked out of your apartment, the ache in your chest felt a little less suffocating.
because the truth was, letting go didn’t mean you stopped loving him. it just meant you loved yourself enough to move on.
