Final Part of Mollytober Prompts

It’s been a good month and I’ve completed many prompts!

Day 28 Prompt-Haunted: Haunted reminded me of my fanfic “The Ghost Friends in: Haunted Hijinks at the Hexed Chateau” so I drew out a scene from it. Here we have Molly haunted by the results of their actions. What was supposed to be a ‘friendly lure’ ended up with an out of control lawnmower, Libby getting stuck on the ceiling with flypaper on her face, Ollie getting spooked and accidentally breaking a jar of oil, the chandelier crashes and the candles catch fire on the oil, Sharkie does the ‘stop, drop and roll’ and makes things worse and splashes hot wax into Scratch’s eyes.

Day 29 Prompt-Gift: Wanted to include Andrea at least once. She was on vacation in Hawaii and saw this cute turtle plush at the resort, bringing it back as a surprise gift for Libby. Hmm, that turtle looks familiar…

Day 30 Prompt-Postcard: Once Todd remembers his ghost afterlife he and Molly keep in touch, this being a postcard from Paris. Scratch is pretending to choke on a croissant and Adia is about to elbow drop a mime. Mimes are to Adia as Magicians are to Molly.

Day 31 Prompt-Ghost Friends: The four founding Ghost Friends truly reunited when the teens are 15, all alive and ready to live their lives. Then there’s the four once they’ve all become real ghosts. Ollie has retaken his position as Chairman and gifted his wife Molly a (nonpowerful) robe to match. Libby lived to be the oldest of the crew, while Scratch ended up being the YOUNGEST at his age of death in his 60’s. These four will be friends ‘for all eternity’

I can't stop thinking him with a silly kouhai who annoys him first but matchs %100 with his energy afterwards. "This bird is strange... It's such a flying white fluff! It's so small, how can it fly? It's so small and fluffy... Don't you think it looks weird being so white with those black eyes?"

You looked at your senpai who was looking at a picture of a bird he found in a postcard display.

You looked at the bird in the picture and then he has it.

This bird reminded you of something... Or rather, it reminded you of someone...

"It looks like you, senpai."  You said right away when you realized that this white bird with black eyes looks like him.

He has white hair and wears his black glasses.

He looked at you with a raised eyebrow. You chuckled softly at his reaction.

"...Really (y/n)?"

You took a step back and covered your mouth with your hand as you saw his reaction.

Before he changed his reaction, you pulled away, knowing what was about to happen.

Then his hands shot up at you, pinching your cheeks.

"Because you're tall, sometimes you look like a weasel or a ferret." You said suddenly and he stopped, looking at you with a fake annoyance on his face.

He reached out to you as you laughed, and put his arm over yours, pulling you closer to him.

That was your close senpai/kohai relationship.

And that relationship was perfect for you.

You were his escape from his worries. He adored you as his kohai. You were sweet and funny.

Sometimes you laughed at him or made jokes. But it never happened that you pulled away from him.

You matched his emotions.

You always spent time with him.

And it was very nice for him.

You always made him feel better.

Your sometimes goofy behavior was comforting to him.

That's why he immediately chose you as his favorite kohai. He was only a little older than you. So at your age it was normal.

He chuckled and pulled the candy stick out of his mouth, pulling your hand away to quickly lean over. And placed a quick kiss on your forehead.

You pushed the glasses up his nose with your fingers, making it stick to his face.

HELLO JAMES MENLOVE how are you this fine day. I have a very important question to ask, do you have any tips on writing an accurate Paul voice in fanfic? I’m trying to write Baby’s First Beatles yaoi here and I’m struggling. TYSM 🫶

and LORD okay take this all w the "I'm american" grain of salt but! depends on the era you're writing them in really imo! like any of them, when he's younger, pre-beatlemania and especially in liverpool/hamburg, his accent was thicker. ur gonna be out here googling slang words in 1960s liverpool. but to get a better idea of His voice specifically, a lot of those early interviews and ahdn are good, but also keep in mind he was sort of like. cleaning up his accent a little for the cameras. but it's lots of contractions, but focusing on cadence/wording is better, imo, than focusing on trying to write out the accent which can get grating to look at if you have an apostrophe every other word (but that's just me). lots of glottal stops happening

during/post-beatlemania it seems like he tried to clean up his accent. out of the 4 of them, imo, his accent is the Least strong. it's turned a bit more posh as he's aged (again if I'm mishearing any of this british people you guys do have the right to kill me with hammers) & watching some of his more recent interviews or later beatles interviews gives you a good idea of that! BUT this has the bonus of- you can always have more of the liverpool accent slip back in when he's upset/excited/particularly comfortable/etc etc

if u mean Content....... what I always keep in mind is just that paul is very diplomatic. he says what he thinks will keep the boat from being rocked, esp once they hit beatlemania. so it's always fun to have him sort of think through his words, think about what he Wants to say, go hm yeah can't say that in any dignified way without Consequences, and say something else that may even be contradicting his actions. on the other hand, though, he can be a bit of a dick. esp when him and john feed off each other. lots of early days stories of him encouraging john being an ass to people and being one himself. his asshole-ry comes in a sort of blunt flavor OR a very backhanded sort of bizarre flavor. like sending people postcards saying "obey your school master" and telling people they're not good vs his weird little "who knows, yoko!" type of comments when he's Trying to be diplomatic but still wants to kick shins. I always sort of view him as being kind of oblivious to how blunt & dickish he can come off 😭 great for writing scenes w him and george honestly. so it's fun to have him say or do smth that just. from the outside is sooo shitty but since ur in his pov he's literally just not even thinking about it

3/25 Cyborg 009 The Stage Short Recap

Spoilers ahead for those who haven't watched the announcement themselves.

Right off the bat we got a sneak peak at the theatrical poster! Not sure how I was expecting 005 and 008 to be handled, but the brown face is disappointing and certainly alienating to global fans of color.

However, the costumes are beautiful and the contrasting pant/coat combo works great. I really love the athletic cut and quilted details on the coats. Ivan is not surprisingly, a prop doll in this production. Personally to me this means we have a 50/50 chance of him either being occasionally lifted by stage ninjas for 'levitating' effects or they just hook him up to wires and let him free like Asamov intended. Only time will tell...

We also got our first glance of the new cyberpunk redesigns of 0010+ and 0010-!

With stage adaptions especially I think it is good to treat them as their own canon. With that in mind I am curious to see how they flesh out the rest of the plot through costume design. My initial reaction was that they reminded me of Team Magma and Team Aqua grunts from older pokemon games. They are very fresh and stylish though, which I think is a good contrast to how formal and outdated Gilmore is presented.

It was revealed that certain performances will also conclude with character specific special events, and include character postcards as well. Very jealous of the folks who get to see this live, and more so for those that attend a photo op!

The interviews with Ivan are sure to be interesting... I am curious to see if they have Nanami interviewing the doll or Ivan's voice actor. I guess we will have to wait and see lol.

To wrap things off the main cast did a short introductory performance, and boy did I try to get some good screen grabs.

How are we feeling about twinkified 002? His lil ponytail moment was a surprise but seems more appropriate for complicated choreographed fight scenes.

Francoise seems to be the newest siri update in this canon, but damn if she doesn't make it look good.

I know the first thing the costume department is doing is adding velcro to that scarf! It just couldn't keep up lol

Changs actor has a few stage position issues but carried on with so much confidence it was almost a non-issue. I am also so impressed if that is a) a hairpiece or b) his real hair he committed to have for the play.

The bloke himself, had an intro as exciting as Francoise but you could tell they were also very excited to play the part. I am probably the most excited to see 007 and 009 perform from this intro alone.

summary

Cletus and Frances talk about her powers and her getting transferred to another prison. Failed escape attempt during transfer, she gets shot by Mulligan.

Cletus insists that he get to talk to Eddie, Venom wants to eat the cop who brings him the news cause he’s a jerk but is rebuffed, Cletus wants a haiku printed in the paper for Frances, Eddie and Venom see the drawing in Cletus’ cell.

Venom reproduces the drawings, they determine that they mean that the bodies of Cletus’ victims are buried at the beach, this leads to the death penalty for Cletus.

Venom’s unhappy with their current diet, we see Sonny and Cher, Venom wants to be “the Lethal Protector” taking out bad guys.

Mrs Chen’s chocolate shipment is late, Eddie & Venom stop a mugging but Eddie talks V out of eating the mugger. They get a call from Anne.

They meet Anne at a restaurant (V is hoping she’ll take them back), and she reveals that she and Dan are engaged. Anne deduces that Venom is alive and tells it to take care of Eddie because he sucks at it and drives people away. Eddie drives home dangerously and V saves them.

Eddie goes to meet Cletus again, after a postcard with backstory that IDK about anyone else but I didn’t care about. Cletus provokes them, Venom pushes him, the confrontation draws blood which is visibly alive when Cletus later ingests it.

At home Eddie and Venom argue (Eddie feels unable to live his life and Venom is starving) and have a domestic violence. They separate and V possesses someone else while Eddie cleans the apartment.

Carnage prevents the lethal injection, it and Cletus slaughter the guards and escape. Carnage explains it wants to kill Venom so it will be the strongest symbiote, Cletus agrees so long as they find Frances. They steal a car and hack the internet to learn where she’s being held.

Eddie sees news of the escape, Mulligan orders Eddie to keep him updated if he finds anything out. Eddie investigates St Estes, sees “CK + FB” on a tree, tells Mulligan (who thought he killed Frances when he shot her years ago)

Venom goes thru bodies, but they are bad matches and keep dying. Goes to nightclub, people think it’s a costume, he does a speech and they love him but he misses Eddie. They go to Mrs Chen for help, arriving as their latest body is dying.

Cletus arrives at Ravenloft where Dr. Pazzo is taunting Frances. Cletus kills the Dr with tentacles and breaks her out, renaming her shriek. They kill the guards and go to St Estes to burn it. Cops arrive, Carnage and Shriek fight back, Carnage orders Cletus to keep Shriek under control.

Eddie taken into custody by Mulligan as bait for Cletus. He contacts Anne for help, Dan drives her tp the station and Eddie tells her he needs V so he can fight back.

Anne & Dan go to Mrs Chen, Anne realizes V is there and Mrs chen is compatible, and convinces it to go with them. They return to the station, Anne goes in and she-Venom breaks Eddie out. Venom demands a sincere apology, Eddie relents and apologizes for sending Venom out of his body, they rebond.

Cletus & Shriek plan a wedding, plan to kill respective targets – Shriek Mulligan, Cletus Eddie, Carnage Venom. They catch Mulligan and go to Anne’s Apartment, knock Dan out & capture Anne, leave note. Dan calls Eddie, tells him to go to cathedral.

Eddie, V and Dan arrive at cathedra, Venom panics at Carnage’s size and colour, Eddie promises V can eat anyone they want. They fight, Shriek tries to help but is rebuffed by Carnage despite Cletus’ protests. Dan throws fire at Carnage, Mulligan tries to flee but is cornered & hanged by Shriek.

Carnage collapses ceiling on Venom, grabs Anne to take to roof. V thinks they are not strong enough, Dan points out Cletus and Carnage are not as bonded cause Cletus is fighting against their treatment of Shriek, this inspires V to rise up and fight back and they stop Carnage from eating anne and save her from falling.

Bell ringing causes the symbiotes to weaken, Eddie & Cletus fight as men, Carnage & shriek have V cornered but V knocks Shriek off a ledge and her scream separates the symbiotes before she is crushed by the bell. Eddie & Cletus fall, V uses anne and Dan to catch Eddie but Cletus and Carnage are separated. It tries to crawl back to him but V eats it, grabs Cletus – who tells Eddie that all he wanted was for Eddie to be his friend – declares “fuck that guy” and eats his head.

Eddie & V skedaddle before the police arrive and Mulligan is alive but his eyes glow blue like Shriek’s. Later E&V try to decide what to do. They think about separating for good but decide to retreat to a tropical island instead.

V tells Eddie that symbiotes can see the multiverse, and when it’s about to demonstrate they are transported to the MCU. They see a news report about Spider-man and V growls and licks Spidey’s image.

Postcards from Snagglepuss

Tug-of-war on (and as much over) the Little Pigeon River

ALONG THE LITTLE PIGEON RIVER IN GATLINBURG, TN: On one bank ... The Banana Splits--Bingo, Drooper, Fleegle and Snorky.

And on the other ... the Cattanooga Cats--Country, Groove, Scoots and Kitty Jo.

And myself, Snagglepuss, trying not to get too caught up in the former Laff-a-Lympics personna, with Huckleberry Hound at my side. Not to mention Mildew Wolf, my old color commentary compadre from Laff-a-Lympics days.

Barely two blocks from The Parkway, Gatlinburg's main drag, but off something called the Parkway Bypass, constructed primarily for such concerned about the Corrupting Influence of Certain Touristic Distractions on the Easily-Influenced, children especially ... or wanting a quicker, less-distracting route into Great Smoky Mountains National Park, of which Gatlinburg is its gateway.

"Uh, Snag?" (It was Huckleberry Hound talking.) "I just hope you're not getting too ahead of yourself."

"Uh--apologies, Huck."

"With friends like us, what's there to apologise for?"

At any rate, the rope to be used in said tug-of-war is brought over and one end tossed to The Banana Splits' side, with Bingo catching same and getting such extended so both ends of the rope are about equal length on either side of the Little Pigeon. Which is probably more of a brook at best, but has been known to see its share of flood activity.

Now mind you, this is more or less a "warmup" for some of the other events of the Easter weekend which the Cattanooga Cats, having the artisan coffee house Cattanooga Klatsche in Gatlinburg, are hosting, to culminate on Easter Sunday with the Gatlinburg Easter Parade. A Character Convocation, in a way.

And with some of the curious wondering "what the [N4BSK] is going on here, anyway?!" on seeing such an unlikely tug-of-war in preparation, not to mention Super Snooper and Blabbermouse being brought in to inspect the rope to make sure nothing of the Dick Dastardly brand is ensuing beforehand (as in, say, cutting away at the rope to the point of near-fraying so that such breaks when the teams lest expect it) ...

Just a little after noon ... things seem a little tense on both banks of the river as both teams await the starter's signal ... the curious can't help but wonder at the inexplicably spontaneous match about to ensue ... Mildew Wolf fires the starter's pistol--and it becomes something of a serious free-for-all, Bingo leading the Splits' side and Groove, considering his bulk, leading for the Cats.

The rope is taut across the Little Pigeon as the teams take hold of same, Snorky honking away in sheer excitement as the whole gets underway, otherwise, cries of "heave-HO! heave-HO!" can be heard from Bingo and Groove directed at their respective sides.

No wonder curious tourists can't help but notice the scene emerging on their samrt phones and record away the same, adding plenty of "WTF?!"-type rejoinders and annotation to their videos as the strain on both teams becomes evident, amusing the crowd even more even as they wonder who will come out victorious.

For some reason, Groove senses a sort of weakness on the Splits' side, and even though Bingo tries his best to lead the Splits onward--it was bound to happen: The Banana Splits lost their grip on the rope for some reason, causing all four to get a silly sort of dunking into the Little Pigeon, prompting Fleegle to indignantly ask of the Cattanooga Cats had some sort of "secret weapon" giving them unfair advantage.

(It will be of interest to note, reader, where Groove is the Cattanooga Cats' jock-type bandmember, on a par with Bingo for the Splits. But at any rate, there was nothing but good-natured jesting, hugging and handshakes between the two when it was all said and done, followed by Groove as much as the Cattanooga Cats treating The Banana Splits to barbecue as Groove cam manage to pull off. It was said the smoke from that barbecue marathon drifted over the Parkway, causing some tourists to wonder if fog or haze had suddenly drifted in along the Parkway. And just imagine Snorky chomping away on the pulled pork barbecue sandwiches in particular, and on egg buns at that!)

06/2000 - Dazed and Confused

QUEEN ADREENA WORDS: ROGER MORTON

AGAINST THE HARSHLY LIT BACKDROP OF CALIFORNIA, QUEEN ADREENA’S SEXUALISED ROCK THEATRICS APPEAR AS A WELCOME BEACON OF DARK.

“I think childbirth is pretty fucking amazing,” says Katie Jane Garside. “I think that sex isn’t golden copulation. I think sex is like childbirth really I do. It’s blood, it’s blood and it’s caring and it’s breaking out.” We are trying to draw correlations for Katie Jane’s rock'n'roll band, but somehow even with prompting in the direction of Frida Kahlo and some edging towards Anais Nin, we keep slipping out of highbrow into something more amniotic. It is disconcerting, particularly because the Pre-Raphelite dryad of a singer is intermittently slurping pink slush through a straw with matching coral vampire lips.

If the job of an artist is to make you reinterpret life, then Queen Adreena’s ectoplasmic chanteuse is due for promotion. It’s been a long time since a band came along with such a powerful, prenatural, psycho-sexual aura. Drop the fourth ‘e’ out of their name and you find its derivation in the notorious American dominatrix Queen Adrena, a six foot four giantess who specialises in crushing submissive men. A fascination with the fetish world surfaces again in Martina Hoogland-Ivanov’s Victorian postcard style short films made to accompany the album Taxidermy. In one scene guitarist Crispin Gray crawls on all fours with a bit in his mouth while a naked Garside rides forth. In another, the singer towers spookily, a 12 foot child giantess in a 19th century ballgown.

In less skilled hands the Adreenal vision of insane sex faery rock would be in danger of descending into the dungeon of camp, but Garside and Gray plus bassist Orson Wajih and drummer Billy Freedom have taken extreme pains and a good few years to perfect their current incarnation. In 1991 Gray and Garside were the creative core of the briefly mesmerising Daisy Chainsaw. Their electric chair punk and Garside’s damaged doll charisma made a sizeable impression, but only one album - LoveSickPleasure - emerged before “fragile” Katie ducked out of the spotlight, shaving her head and literally heading for the hills. Most of the '90s was spent recovering. “I haven’t ever not been involved, I’ve always just done music,” says Katie. “It’s the one thing that’s been consistent in my life from the moment I can remember. I’ve always sung and it’s always given me solace, sanctity. It’s what’s kept me safe. Because I think art, or whatever you want to call it, it’s not, in my experience, a choice. If I don’t do what I do, I get very sick. I don’t want to make it sound too melodramatic, but what it does is allow me to be a witness of myself so I’m not absorbed by the other stuff that’s going on around me. That’s what I mean by it keeps me safe.”

In the intervening years before she met with Crispin again and reconciled their differences, Courtney Love had popularised Garside’s ripped petticoat and lace “kinder-whore” chic (“I adore Courtney, I think she’s amazing”). But no one apart from PJ Harvey proved much cop at the lid-off-female-subconscious volition. Backed by a ridiculously great band, Katie Jane is now the most stage-articulate and daring woman performer in music, making Tori Amos look like Sarah Brightman.

In LA, showcasing he Taxidermy album, she terrifies the crowd at the Viper Room. Her voice is now beautifully controlled, cutting from petal-child to succubus harlot. Eyes rolling beneath the flowerpinned snake tresses, she approximates possessed sex with the mic stand and spends half the show upside down. Then she heads to the nearest strip bar to study.

The music and the performance express a version of sexuality that goes against the norm. Is that a political act? “I’m not sure that I want to be political, but I think the true feminine has been denied and is really being written out. It’s got just a tiny little edge of the screen and I think that’s why so many women are so down on themselves. You don’t really witness the true feminine at work very often at the moment, but I know that she’s bubbling underneath, and things like eating disorders, they’re symptomatic of that, because she’s being denied. She’s being forced out of existence, but whenever you repress something or deny something it comes back with such a force.”

Unlike her very distant relatives the goths, Garside does not melt in the tungsten sunshine of LA. She’s of a different shade. Her complexity and the close partnership with Crispin shine through in Taxidermy. “Madraykin” is a blues in calipers; “Hide From Time” a creaking womb; “Sleepwalking” a dreamscape and “Cold Fish” is bloody bones violence. It sounds like Jane’s Addiction fronted by Ophelia. Katie’s addiction however, is not going to fuck her up this time.

There’s a track called “Are The Songs My Disease?” which appears to be saying all this might be bad for your mental health. “Yep, that’s true. But that’s what I meant in the beginning about if you’ve got a choice about this stuff don’t do it. But I’ve got nothing left to lose in a lot of ways. See, when the struggle really comes on, it’s taken me to some really, really crazy places that I wouldn’t have anyone else go to. It’s the place where people become Jim Morrison and Napoleon Bonaparte and where you become God and omnipotent and you think you’re the only thing alive. That’s the most frightening place I’ve ever been to and that’s also a kind of living death because there’s nowhere to go after that.”

OK! Magazine 1.0 - Part Two

Alright, continuing on from yesterday's post, we're talking about the other half of this set of figs - Gong Jun's.

The inspiration for this figure is the magazine covers that Gong Jun did for OK! Magazine at the same time Zhehan did.

This is the inspiration picture for this fig. And then here's another one of him in this outfit:

Unlike Zhehan's very beautiful description of "Gentle and Powerful", Junjun's description of "Eyes are Raining for Him" is a bit less beautiful, at least in my mind. I assume it means that fans weep over how gorgeous he is? It could be!

Gong Jun had the exact same type of OK! Magazine extras as Zhehan's did - posters, 9 postcards and a paper standee (bookmark?):

His posters are also enormous, just like Zhehan's, so I didn't take a pic of them. But wait, one more thing - we have a behind-the-scenes vid of him taking pictures with the dove. He's always really gentle with animals.

If you recall from yesterday's post, the fig itself arrived in perfect condition, but his glasses...did not.

I'm honestly not sure how the glasses were supposed to arrive unbroken, just being in a plastic envelope. You can see here too how they're not broken evenly - we have one circle frame with two long ends while the other has them broken off very close to the the rims itself. There's a reason I've put off posting about this fig set!

Gluing the glasses together, I have to admit, was a bit of a hassle. Connecting the two rims together was hard because even though I tried to keep the glue on the bridge part from sticking to the plastic, it wouldn't stick together without a decent amount of glue. So I ended up just letting it stick to the plastic, and then cutting the plastic off around it. So it's not as smooth as I would like.

Once I let the rims cure overnight, I picked the longer stem to go on the shorter rim side, and the shorter stem to go on the part that already had a piece sticking out, hoping that would balance them out.

The glue did NOT want to stick to the ends, and I finally ended up having to, like the rims, use a lot of glue. I had to manually hold up the stems in place while they set, which sounds not so bad, but actually took way longer because I kept having to check if I was holding them straight, and then the only way to tell if it was stuck firmly was to let go, whereupon it fell right down. But, I finally managed to at least put them together.

Here they are. You can see one of the sides sticks out a bit weirdly, so I was regretting I hadn't cut off that rim edge to be the same as the other side. BUT, turns out it's a good thing I didn't. You'll see why!

Here's a close up where you can see the holes in the side of his hair where the stems of the glasses fit. This fig is definitely meant for glasses. I mean, it matches the inspiration photo, right?

But first, let's do a run of the fig without the glasses.

I can't lie, this fig is also pretty perfect.

This fig maker always puts Junjun's beauty mark on his ear, which of course matches the one on Zhehan.

Interesting you can't see the hole from this angle. We can, however, see Junjun's beauty mark on his ear, matching the one on Zhehan.

Again, this fig maker gets all the little details - we have his layered cuffed pants, the white socks, and the black loafers. We can also see the detail of the longer white shirt peeking out under the blue overshirt.

Ah, you can see the trim even better from this angle. You can also see the metal detailing on his waist bag.

And you can see the detailing on the waist bag even better from this angle! Here we can also see the layering on his 3 shirts that he's wearing.

And back around. You can see the other hole in his hair/head here for the other stem of the glasses to fit into it. You can also see the moons in his eyes (that match the stars in Zhehan's eyes).

Here he is with the bottoms up view, which lets you see the detail on the white strap holding his waist bag in place. We can also see here the dark pocket on his outer shirt.

And the top view, where you can see how dynamic his pose is and also how fabulously they modeled the hair!

Ok. Now you've seen how cute he looks without the glasses, which is to say, extremely cute. Now let's go back and talk about the glasses again. Remember how I said it was a good thing I left that little extra bit on the glasses rim? Well, that's because the glasses don't fit quite right on his face. The glasses aren't quite big enough, shortened as they are from the break and the repair, to fit easily all the way around his dear little head.

But, I didn't want to glue them in place because well, that's permanent. And I couldn't decide if I liked him better with the glasses on or off! I know the glasses are in the inspiration pic, so I'm inclined to keep them, but I'm just not sure. I ended up sticking them in with museum wax (which also didn't want to hold very well, so I made a bit of a mess with it), and the glasses managed to stay in place exactly as long as it took to take pictures. They fell off right after I took the last photo. So here we go:

Cute, right? But he's also super cute without them and you can see more of his face.

Here's the two of them together, as the fig maker intended.

So what do you think? Glasses yes or no? I can't decide! The fig is meant to have glasses, but I think he's cuter without them. They're not in great shape either. Help!

Hi!! I love your match-ups. May I request one for Resident Evil, please? Maybe Stardew if that's okay too.

I'm short, chubby, heavily tattooed, rampantly bisexual, and nonbinary. Leftist. Medical lab biologist, but about to start my masters in forensic science. I love puzzles/puzzle games, reading, video games, making nature journals, and collecting postcards. I LOVE birding! I'm great in the kitchen, but not good at much else. Low self esteem and not very pretty. Severe chronic pain so some days I have a lot of trouble getting around at all. OCD + bipolar + ptsd so some days are... very difficult. I'm working through it, though. Autistic + ADHD. Big hyperfixations are bugs, sharks, bats, trains, lighthouses, astronomy, geology, paleontology, wildflowers, and lots of shows/movies/etc. Into vulture culture. Love horror movies. Jaws is my comfort film. The Shape of Water is my favorite, though (also a major monsterf*cker, oops). Star Trek: DS9 is my comfort show. Talk too much, but easily become nonverbal. Lots of bad puns and useless trivia. Will infodump about culinary history and foreign horror films. Parent to a young kid and love being a mom. Love cats. Keep tarantulas as a hobby. Don't like crowds, sunny days, hot weather, making small talk, or drinking. I wish I could travel all the time. But like. In a ghost way where i can drift around without being perceived. Also, as much as I like nature, I'm definitely NOT a fan of camping/roughing it. Tbh my idea of a good date is a rainy autumn night talking on the back porch with a blunt and Korean takeout.

This man….is so good. He’s got a rough exterior, but he’s got insides that are so soft he squishes when you hug him. 

Jake finds your choice of study very interesting. He finds the two of you like pieces of a puzzle that complete eachother: he makes the crime scenes and you investigate them. He also finds the way you can draw conclusions all from one drop of blood very cool and kinda sexy. 

He’s good with kids, even if he scares them away at first. He has a strong parental instinct over your kid, wanting to protect them and indulge them in everything he can. 

He also knows his job is dangerous, though. He’ll be hesitant to initiate anything with you until he can guarantee that you and your kid will be safe. 

Jake’s seen his fair amount of trauma. That isn’t to say he’ll completely understand yours, but he’s always a shoulder to lean on. He’ll give you gentle kisses on top of your head. He might not know what to say, but he’ll do his damndest to remind you that someone loves you. 

He’s enamored with you, to put it simply. He finds that the two of you are sides of the same coin, even if your lives are drastically different. He finds comfort in you in a way no one else can provide.

Leah loves your passion for nature. She’s (obviously) a big fan of the world around her. She especially adores your nature books. She’ll bring you flowers to press after a day of foraging, and will watch your process with a gentle, adoring smile. 

Unrelated, I get the vibe that Leah would also adore The Shape of Water. She seems like she’d appreciate the artistry of it, but also find the monster hot. The two of you talk about this frequently. 

Leah’s more than willing to help parent if you’d let her. She’s not crazy about kids, but she’s got a particular tenderness for yours. In fact, she loves most anything that reminds you of her. 

Leah’s not as big of a horror fan as you (she’s actually quite scared of horror movies), but she’ll watch with you just to cuddle up against your arm when she gets scared.

In turn, she makes you watch a LOT of True Crime documentaries, of which she is a fan. 

Leah likes how genuine you are with your interests. If everyone in the world was as passionate and knowledgeable as you, she’d probably love the world a lot more. But in the mean time, she’s completely satisfied with loving you.
