Right after he became leader he was challenged about his choice of deputy ( his son who hadn’t had an apprentice) and it became a fight. She had her paw on his face and dragged it down leaving a deep wound and eventually scar behind

The cat who challenged him, Elkstripe, is still in the clan but she has a scar around the front of her neck. She may show up but who knows!

Love at twilight doodles with Kori actually here! In fact, 90% of this is Kori lol.

First two pictures are Kori at 17 years old with his younger siblings! And him with an Ordon/Twili inspired outfit! Didn’t mean to make his eye shape to look more like Link’s but it’s pretty good cuz he doesn’t have a lot of traits from him!

Something Dungeon Meshi does a little differently that I really like is how the party sees Thistle.

In so many similar stories, Thistle would be an enemy to overcome, an obstacle to defeat. Yet the party never comes at him with malice. In a story where people do die permanently (Kabru's party taking out the corrupt corpse recovery team, for instance), it's refreshing that the Mad Mage that created and controls this dungeon is treated as... someone the party wants to parley with.

Marcille wants to talk to him, ask questions about magic. Even when he's actively attacking her, her first thought is to gain more information, not try to kill him. Laios wants to discuss the history of the kingdom. Everyone wants him to stop, or talk about the dungeon. Not die. They don't say, "when we kill the Mad Mage". They say stop. They say defeat.

Maybe the Canaries, and Kabru's team, are the norm in this dungeon. Maybe most people are in a kill-or-be-killed mindset (maybe that's the dungeon working its influence upon the minds of those who enter). But this party doesn't want to kill Thistle, nor do they express that sentiment. They want to talk to him.

(Kabru, too, always tries to open with diplomacy. Just because sometimes the only way to make people stop is to kill them doesn't mean it's his first resort. The Canaries are a little more... intense, for reasons the anime has yet to get into.)

I think what makes Dungeon Meshi, and maybe the core party, so special is that, in a setting where a violent response would be the norm, be expected, they say: let's talk.

(End note: this is not a space to clown about Kabru. If you read him as morally bankrupt or something please go back and reread/rewatch the entire series and maybe mull that over. Or make a new post ig.)

What fate a slugratcat?

Anyway, all the in-game dialogue suggests they're more rodent like than the name suggests. I mean 5P literally calls you a rodent or a wet mouse several times. So, I went at the skeletal anatomy of a slug cat from the perspective of a very weird hairless rat with front-facing eyes and a very stubby face.

Decided to begin posting some of my older fan art. While the art is definitely outdated, I spent a lot of time on it, so I thought I might as well share it.

We're gonna start off with some Centaurworld, an animated series on Netflix. I was exposed to it through an MLP animatic, of all things, which used one of the series' many songs. I decided to check it out and got hooked immediately lol.
