Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)

I'm bad at open-ended prompts, so I just dug through my drafts and grabbed the first unpublished ramblings that came up:

Whenever I see HSR videos talking about how this new character is a must-pull, or how if you skip them on release you'll ruin your account, or how you might as well not even play the game if you don't have the shiny new toy, I feel a little more jaded (pun intended) about tierlists and meta rankings and new-character hype in general.

I remember people saying you'd regret not pulling for Seele if you wanted your account to be viable, back when the game first released. Same with Jingliu when she came out. Acheron. Firefly. Feixiao. A veritable revolving door of FOMO, bc that's the profit engine for gacha games.

People joke about "waifu over meta" but like. I genuinely believe you'll have a better time playing the game if you pull for characters bc you enjoy their characterization and gameplay rather than bc you're expecting them to sit at the top of the meta until the end of time.

Can my painstakingly buffed Ratio outdamage a moderately built Feixiao? No. But autism obsessions are free and so was he. Can my E3 S2 Clara clear things as easily as an E0 Yunli? Probably not, but I love seeing her robot dad blast holes through the latest dumbass who thought it'd be a good idea to hit a "defenseless" little girl.

Power creep is inevitable. Build the characters and teams you like. Sometimes they'll lose relevance, while other times they'll pleasantly surprise you (my day-one Himeko stocks are THRIVING).
