theres a quote going round about how the writer engages with books, pirates them as pdfs and then decides which ones he'd like to be physically present with him after the fact (like a kind of courtship)...i didn't bother saving it but it does have me thinking what books i want on my physical shelf when (inshallah) i have space and money...

#i want everything by baldwin i dont see how i could do any less #and probably a bespoke scifi shelf but im still in the process of finding my urgent favs in that genre #and also would i include the kitschy ones w/o qualifying them or should they get a subsection #and biographies. oh to hold eternal troubadour in my hands. oh to have zami back again #i've read surprisingly few fantasies that deserve the shelf. maybe if i found a reeeeally nice edition of lotr
