how appropriate is it to be like semi personal and mildly informal though still respectful in an email to an alum u met..
#i want a personality man super formal email language is garbage!!!#he's also like not a stuffy or pretentious person at all. but i respect him so much and want that to come across. but also like#am hoping that my personality is a winner <3 cause we got along! and he asked what im working on and etc he was v cool#so i dont think it's terribly out of pocket to be friendly and make a little joke here or there. i just dont want to act overly familiar#and be weird u know. idk. just wanna be confident but i always freak out that im being weird#abby talks#actually im still writing pretty formally now i just hope i dont sound like a pretentious asshole#why should i NOT try to sell my skills though. u know. IDEALLY i want this man to like and work with me lmfao i need to take a little risk#if this even qualifies.
