Haven't talked about Angel's Lullaby development in a while. I had to stop production once work got overwhelming for the holidays, thus having to delay the game's December release. I hadn't expected to land a job nor that it'd be THAT much different from when I worked in a small town. It whipped me tf out rippp

But yeah I had trouble getting back into it, after delaying I lost the "time limit" pressure and honestly, lost a lot of motivation and heart over my own personal disappointment 😞

But! I'm back into full development and am managing work and my personal time better. I actually work on a handful of fan projects, tho they're all in varying amounts of done and a good amount aren't even public yet.

So for Angel's specially:

- I've recoded a good chunk of the game. A combo of: switching state machine systems, collison/movement code and lastly just me improving my coding abilities. Settings menu, overworld menu and obvs the player object. Completely overhauled.

I'm doing some exciting things like using surfaces, masking, and soon I'll be using shaders for things. I keep needing to pinch myself that I'm capable of these things now!

Anyway, I should have the game's systems all fixed up soon. I've also been remaking the tileset and room layouts. So I'm hoping to have a fully playable demo in a couple weeks.

There's still a lot to do- I've gotta remake some character's sprites, redo/finish portraits, add a couple "scenes" into the script. And the battle system? ...actually almost done, but I work on that with one my my coder team members and we've been on break. Probably 2-5 voice call sessions to finish. O_O (something unexpected always pops up that ends up taking time to implement.)

Just decided I need to redo my text system 🙈 that coder I mentioned plans on making a text system himself, but I need a basic one to deal with for now. I've made these before but I've never really been happy with how they turn out

I dont have it but my PMS is fucking brutal I was depressed fucking felt like paralyzed in bed due to anxiety, didnt go to classes,then like a few days later i got my period and then everything made sense.

But i just cant like lose a week of my life like this every month. How do you deal with it?

i went on birth control for it but got off of it after a year bc i decided i disliked the effects of birth control, but that did help my symptoms tons and i wouldn't lie to anyone who wanted to go on it bc it did help me, i made a choice to get off of it unrelated to my pmdd.

managing symptoms can be difficult, often my first "response" is to recognize when my emotions are being affected by my pmdd. usually i can tell pretty quickly bc one day i'll walk up and everything makes me rage at the drop of a hat and then get very sad or agitated just as quick, my emotional regulation just being absolutely dogshit to concern anyone around me if they happen to be on the receiving end of my aggression or if they could jump inside my head and see how it was playing out. after so many years knowing i have pmdd, im able to recognize how a lot of that emotional instability isn't "me" and that im being affected by an "outside" force (oncoming period and hormones dropping). i usually do my best to stay mindful of my reactions then and try and do stuff that calms me down and gets my mind away from what had ruptured my emotional state. usually this occurs right in the morning when i get up, so its a fairly quick light bulb moment for me.

and im definitely used to like a shit ton of negative self talk that over the years ive gotten a better hand on, so when those real lows come around, im much better at talking myself out of those low states, but my pmdd doesn't manifest as strongly or too long with huge depressive states. usually, i just try to find other things to distract me when i feel that low, like chatting with friends, family, watching a movie, going on a walk, eating good food, no matter how small can help shift my mood to a more positive direction. when we're down, our brains are really good at thinking about other sad shit, bc our brain sucks like that, so getting ahead of that curve and trying to intentionally distract yourself with better things can generally help. but again, do not feel bad if that doesn't work for you, bc long depressive states aren't what i normally deal with and my advice is general here.

in terms of anxiety and similar emotions, i feel you deeply there. i manage that similar to how i manage any form of anxiety, which is just to do whatever it is that my anxiety thinks i cannot do, as thats the quickest way to rewrite that pathway in ur brain. it can seem very daunting, but it really does help and you can take baby steps all the while. and usually i end up feeling better after i go to whatever it was i was terrified to go to, which when we're feeling terrible af can sometimes make our day a bit better.

i would also say, sometimes i don't do anything during my pmdd time either bc it really does feel like shit even when ive tried combating it and being mindful of myself, some days really do just suck and i wanna lay in bed and hermit away. i don't think you should beat yourself up about that if some months that happens. its gonna happen again even after we have some successes, pmdd can be very unpredictable and sometimes our environment and our day to day lives just affect it even more and cause some months to be worse than others, and that doesn't mean you're lazy or not trying hard enough or anything like that.

Miss K i know you must be crazy busy but can a girlie ask how daddy Steve would take care of bucky after he’s had a hard day? I slept like three hours and was in back to back meetings with big scary excess all day and then I had to drive four hours to get home and im so exhausted I could CRY and I wish I had a daddy Steve to help 😭😭

Babe I simultaneously feel crazy busy but lazy af and Daddy Steve has been the comfort Daddy (especially since I've been down bad with not-COVID cold) and this is the perfect ask that we neeeeeeed rn you poor sweet thingggggg. Okie...

Dinner is already at the ready, Bucky can smell it as Steve walks him past the kitchen.

"Pulled out the recipe for my ma's chicken soup. It's a miracle worker. Let's get you in the shower, baby..."

Steve leaves it up to Bucky whether or not he wants Daddy to join him in the shower but me thinks that baby would never say no to the chance of feeling those big, warm, comforting hands all over his body.

A pair of briefs, Steve's oversized volleyball league hoodie, some warm socks, Daddy ignores Bucky's huffs as he scoops him up and carries him right to the couch, Bucky looking too precious to not baby in this moment.

The soup is to die for, is warm and flavorful and feels like a hug from Steve's mom which feels like even more comfort. They sit on the couch and eat big bowls of it with some bread and big glasses of water.

Of course they watch a comfort show, Steve choosing Great British Baking Show or Antiques Roadshow or House Hunters. Steve wraps Buck up in a big blanket, snuggles him close to his chest as he lays him out on their couch.

"You wanna talk about today, what had you feelin' so down?" Steve would ask, but Bucky is already feeling like the day is far behind him, the weight of it already released with the help of his doting partner.

"I'm always here to listen, sugar. You know that." Steve would remind him but he's already drifting to sleep, eyelids heavy, nuzzling his cheek into Steve's chest as he whispers, "Mmm, love you..."

•ion wanna make like a bunch if hcs for it cause im lazy rn BUT curly was always like researching and found that he shares a lot of similarities w ppl who r autistic, but he never wanted to self diagnose himself cause he was always scared that he was overreacting and that he was wrong

•honestly it was gonna b hard for him to get an actual diagnoses cause 1) hes broke and the test r expensive 2) hes black, theres a big chance that hes gonna get misdiagnosed even IF he gets that chance to get tested, also he mask rlly well

•ok so we all know autism is a huge ass spectrum and it doesnt show up the same for everyone, so w curly i feel like hes hyposensitive and sensory seeking (idk i dont think many ppl talk about these things enough so heres da rep)

•hes always fidgety n shit and touching things and ppl just wrote that off as him just being handsy

•he has a few vocal stims from songs and videos saying them over and over, he rocks back n forth from time, he paces while listening to music, and hes always bouncing his leg and biting his lip if he has dry skin there, cracking his knuckles etc

•he also bites like a lot of things, pencils, n stuff like that, so maybe him w a sensory chee necklace???

•his hyposensitivity is part of the reason y ppl r surprised when he isnt hurt by certain things like rlly hot water n what not

•he actually doesnt get overstimulated a whole lot, like it does happen, but not a lot cause it takes quite a bit for him to actually get to that point

•if u hc darry to b autistic i feel like there would b times where they were both overstimulated and just had to sit out in a quiet room and just not say anything to each other, they dint get along oh so well but in those moments they truly understand each other

•curly tries to calm down from overstimulation by listening to loud ass music (same)

•his hyperfixation r horror movies (more specifically halloween, scream, and american psycho cause i say so) or music if u want that

•AND AND curly doesnt rlly get tones, so hes always kinda just…saying whatever comes to mind and hoping its the right thing to say cause he never rlly knows how to keep a convo going

Hawks stood in the back of the room, his arms crossed around his lean yet sturdy body, a smirk gracing his lips as he watched you speak with a loud welcoming voice to the newbies.

Hero schools across the nation were starting up their students for internships with hero agencies, and UA was no different. Countless teachers from that high school were shuffling their kids into agencies, and it was one of your duties to greet the students that were about to enter their internships for the other pros. It saved alot of time when one hero told the kids the do’s and don’ts of their internship, so you had sorta graciously took the role (you had lost a match of Rock Paper Scissors to Hawks and you were fuming).

Only you could make public speaking interesting to him-especially when you were in your hero suit (even if it sounded pretty perverted).

He couldnt help himself from letting his eyes wander around your frame- you were dating after all, it wasnt like you wouldnt want him to...but damn was that hero suit a blessing to his eyes. Whoever designed it, he wished he could perosnally thank them for making it so perfectly sexy on your frame.

 Your quirk relied on you to show a little more skin, as you needed to physically touch things in order to activate it. Which made it the perfect for Hawks (and others) to gawk at your curvacious figure- deep swoops on your chest, high cuts against your leg that showed off your hips, an expanse of the soft skin of your thigh….it was absolutely tantalizing to him and left his whole body throbbing every time he saw you in your suit.

Hawks felt his heart thump in his chest from the back of the room as he watched you bend down, apparently having dropped a piece of paper on the floor.

How you bent down gave the best view of your chest-the mounds pushed up so delciosuly he licked his lips from the sight- and then the nervous, innocent laugh you gave as you fiddled with your hair- god, you really just the most beautiful little birdie, werent you?

Hawks loveisck grin quickly melted away when he heard a slow whistle come from the seat in fornt of him- apparently somebody else found his little chickadee pretty too…

Immeidately Hawks felt his the feathers on his back ruffle- he usually wasnt protective at all, as long as  everyone knew that you were his and his only.

But oh, the moment he got a whiff of someone trying to flirt or be smitten with you-he immeidately did a 180, becoming fussy and dominant as he shielded you or sent the person a death glare behind a strained smile. 

“...could you imagine snuggling into her boobs? They must be so soft….” he heard a nasally, boyish voice whisper to his friend next to him, a few seats to his right.

Well-that was pretty fucking creepy.

Hawk’s head swiveled around, trying to find the voice. He was trying his best to not let his emotions do something rash-he didnt want to throw you off your task by doing something stupid. He was pretty known for his outgoing and filter-less peronality, so it was taking everything in him to just be calm for once, for your sake. Hawks quietly began to walk behind the seats of the kids, trying to find the owner of the voice.

“Ohhhh I would do anything for her if I could call her Mommy just once-”

The hell was this kid?! And how old was he to be making such nasty ass comments??

Hawks felt his cheeks flush, his eyes darting around, finaly landing on a student who seemed to be whispering to his friend with electric yellow hair.

He recognizied the kid with the bright hair- you had taken him on as a intern, his name was… Kalimari? Kanimari? 

He didnt quite remmeber, and frankly didnt really care that much as his eyes were trained on the kid next to him- he was so short, only his hair was visible from the seat- if you could it hair. Three balls of messy purple spheres were planted on his head as he leaned into the boy next to him.

“Hey Kaminari you think you wanna switch interns? Ill do anything, anything to just be next to her…”

“No way man!” the kid “Kaminari” whisiper yelled at him, “I landed a total babe as a intern, Im not loosing that-”

Hawks blinked a few times in complete shock- now this kid too! He knew you were a hit with the men (because hell he was a total fanboy before meeting you just because of how hot you were), but god he didnt realize you were popular with the teens too! It made sense, boys were pretty, well- interested- in women alot more at this age, but still- it bothered him how possessive he was getting because of these boys.

“Ahh please Denki!”

“Nah Mineta youre crazy!”

So his name was Mineta...Hawks leaned against the wall, his hands fidgeting as he tried to stay calm.

He might be petty enough to give a small call to his intern and see how he can make his life a little hellish….

Hawks drew his gaze back to you, hoping that maybe watching you speak will calm him down...but the kid wouldnt let up.

The whole time you were talking “Mineta” made every comment in the book, wondering “if you liked short guys”, “how big your butt was”, even asking if you had modeled lingerie….Hawks was pratically mortified for you.

Were all guys liked this? Cause god, if it was, he was going to have a problem...he felt his chest fluff out in dominance, his feathers pratically vibrating from agitation because of how possessive he was feeling and he couldnt do a single thing.

He watched you looked around the crowd, a soft radiant smile on your lips.

“Does anyone have any questions?” you asked as you peered up at the students.

Mineta instantly raised his hand, Hawks stomach churning with dread.

Unaware of the situation Hawks had just witnessed, you gave to boy a bright grin. 

“Yes?” you asked goodnaturedly.

Mineta sniffled, his voice nasally and somewhat desperate sounding. 

“Yeah I had a question- um, how big are you boo-”

Haha, nope.

Hawks instantly sent a bunch of feathers zooming towards Mineta, each one ramming into his open mouth. The force took over his frail body, the sight almost comical as his eyes grew wide with fear as he began to lean back, his pudgy hands flailing.

Hawks felt a small part of him inflate with dirty pride from his little trick, a lazy grin gracing his lips as everyone in the room turned around to watch him with complete shock.

“Sorry about that kiddos, had to just demonstrate somehting for you guys real quick...” Hawks looked down at you, your face blushing yet riddled with conufsion. He sent you a small smile, giving you a quick wink- “Ill tell you later” was written on his face as he turned his attention back to the students in fornt of him. 

“...when you intern with your heroes, show them some respect...cause words get around when you talk out of place-”

The Mineta kid turned around, sputtered coughs dribbling out of his mouth as he picked fluffs of feather off his tongue. His eyes widened as he turned around and realized what was going on, the #2 hero giving him the deadliest glare imaginable. 

Hawks could almost feel sympathy for the kid-almost. He must have realized who had shut him, after all, you two were dating (and Hawks had made sure that everyone knew that).

Hawks sauntered over, a dark grin wrapping against his complexion as he kneeled down to get to the kids level.

“I’d watch what you say, kid- my feathers can get sharper when I want them to,” 

A gulp could be heard from Mineta, his skin paling as the #2 hero, the one dating the pretty herione in front of him, had pretty much threatened him.

Yeah, he stayed quiet after that.

TUA Season 2 is finally here! I think it was a really cool season with some really awesome potential, but there are some parts that I think really didn’t work and this is how i think they should have been fixed

(Spoilers for Season 2 of the Umbrella Academy. Obviously)

i think landing the siblings in different years was amazing, they got time to explore themselves and we could see their personalities through what they did

On the other hand, they didnt devote enough time to those storylines so it never felt like they had a solid purpose (for most of the siblings), it was more to show “time has passed”

How did Luther end up boxing under a gangster? How is he adjusting to no dad, no academy?? He was alone on the moon, He was left behind by his siblings in the academy, now he is alone and in a whole other *time* like i wanna hear about that!

Klaus has mansion and a cult and had a girlfriend benefactor lady?? Like: lets get into that! if the show wants humor that can be amazing

but it can also be really interesting and deep for exploring klaus’s need for both personal space (physically and somewhat emotionally) yet also his need for positive attention from whoever will give it to him!

More on that alone now track: the opening scene with their fighting was built to get us hyped

it fucking worked, that shit was amazing

but along with wishing that we saw more of their individual stories, i wish some of their growth had been gradual

like Klaus should have been showing off ghost stuff with his cult which is part of why they follow him which would set up his new ability to summon and conjure multiple ghosts at a time

instead of it being a throw away scene at the end where he gets caught

or Diego could have been shown in his ‘alone in dallas’ storyline to be trying to escape multiple times from the asylum and in that, figuring out his ability to start affecting other peoples shots at him, etc

Stuff like that would have been a great way to both dive into the characters *and* ramp up their abilities

Moving onto The Commission who i absolutely love so so much

I think that the Handler should have stayed dead

her return to the show while awesome (because she is played so well by her actress) continues this problem for the show of seemingly running in place where things dont have consequences like they should

I also think her return made a very campy feel to certain parts which is fine, the story should have fun! but it doesnt fit with the vibe very well with the other more serious plots

Imagine a storyline where the Handler is replaced by Carmichael, a competent replacement with no close personal relationship to Five

A head to head show down throughout the season of Five trying to outthink and outwit Carmichael and Commission Agents to get a briefcase 

The misdirects! 

The drama! 

The action sequences and reveals!

More Screen Time for the Cool Ass Talking Fish 2k20!

All of which culminates in the board of directors scene but now with real weight behind it for the audience because we have been watching these two face off with one another for a season of build up

Her storyline would change without the Handler there so that instead of being actively manipulated by the Handler, she has gone rogue from the commission to kill Five for her parents deaths due to previous planning and programming from her mother

(its only been 14 days for Five, a very normal turn around for him to desert, have the Handler tell Lila her version of the story, get killed, and have Lila get ready to take him down)

its generally the same plot, but Lila is more in the drivers seat

Going from tagging along with Diego in the hopes that Five returns for him to questioning some of her commitment to her mission as she spending time with them, etc

it could culminate in a reveal of her mother to Five and Diego and then a redemption where she helps them get a case from Carmichael in someway, looping her into the main plot in an important way with generally the same story

but skipping the pretty basic “obviously evil character is obviously evil but hero doesn't see it” trope that they fell into

I think that Luther’s arc in this season was awesome 10/10 gold standard

he was still him, but this storyline showcases the softer side of his loyalty and lets him grow from season 1 mistakes which is everything I hoped for

Comforting Vanya? Check

Being there for Five? Check

Being a voice of reason but still being a dumbass? Cheeeeeck

Diegos arc this season fell flat for me which was hard because he was such a main part of the plot 

This whole season had a build-up trying to break down Diego’s need to be a hero (which they turned to a fucking 11 from last season?? he was not *this* intense last season, im not quite sure why they made the switch), telling him that he isnt / cant be the hero

I assumed this was leading to Diego having a big moment or sacrifice that proved that hero or not, he cares and the effort that he puts into all of these different things matters

But it just didnt??

He didnt stop the president from being assassinated, he didnt save vanya, at the farm he got trapped under a tractor

it just felt like the point was “haha see he isnt a hero”

which,,,,,,okay? What the point of that??

His involvement with the Commision was weird too, i didnt care for him being a part of that storyline very much, it just didnt add anything

Allison’s arc was just on the edge of greatness for me

it was an awesome choice to put in her in a position where she wasnt treated equally and show exactly what kind of person she is by how she fights back

her not using her rumors also seems very genuine and character based here like: 10/10 character motivations and work

My one complaint, like with just about all the partners in this season, is that she fell in love with a man and just had to leave him 

which makes sense and they talk about it but like: she loves him, its hard to picture someone as loving and loyal as Allison just leaving her husband behind forever 

Klaus’s arc just needed more *time*

He is a hella deep character but all of his story lines needed more time to be able to address that complexity 

Show us more of the cult and his ghost powers being used there to trick and amaze and how he has been handling being cut off from the family again

I get the time period

but fuck

that just hurts

I think Klaus not trying to rekindle his relationship with a younger Dave, but trying to protect him from the war was an amazing angle and it needed more time to get the full punch of klaus pulling out all the stops to save him but failing to really land it

I feel like his job as ‘leader of the stop the apocalypse’ movement is good but that was his whole story this time around

He should have gotten more to play off of with the Commission (*cough cough* Carmichael) in his fight to get a briefcase instead of what felt like 10 hours of Five trying to herd his siblings and them just fucking up in someway or another

Five and Older Five was a cool dynamic and im glad they brought him in but again, it just felt like another long storyline attempt that didnt have a purpose as they ended the scene without the case or anything new

Ben’s arc was,,,,,strange

I love Ben and i think his interplay with Klaus is really cool!

But the writers made him fall in love which someone so they could give him a reason to want to possess Klaus which i feel like didnt need to happen

The possession was a good part of the season and could have been taken to some awesome places

It was rough and the ‘consent’ wasnt run entirely well but i think the possession is supposed to be on the line and not quite black and white 

its Ben asking to take control of Klaus! That can be conflict! Thats good stuff right there! Ben is selfish! so is Klaus! thats a cool story to get into between them and see how they try to work it out

Ben wanting to connect with his other siblings after the small taste of being corporeal that he got and pushing Klaus for more and more of that freedom into possession territory would be A+ shit

and Finally: Vanya!

I think most amnesia plots are lazy and just a way to stall progress and reset a character so you can run a very similar plot again but this one seemed to genuinely grow Vanya’s character, even when she remembered 

She definitely has more personality in this season

And while shes quiet, thats just who she is, she isnt as afraid to take space and speak up which is awesome!

And this stays when she gets her memory back which is very good, i dont want to see backsliding for no reason! Give me growth!

I have two complaints about her storyline though

 First Sissy and Harlan

I love both of them and I think they are really cool characters!

Theyre pretty similar to vanya season 1, taking whatever is thrown at them which places Vanya in a more assertive position where she wants to protect them which i loved!

but their ending doesn't sit entirely right with me, just like Raymonds

These characters are in love and they all just leave each other so that the siblings can have a clean, no characters permanently added slate for the next season

it just makes me tired and i really want season 3 to have little to no romance if the only way the show can go about it is to do a love interest per season

My second problem gets its own section because it is the culmination of everything else i have said 

episode ten

Vanya is strong af so any writer that wants big final fight needs to very carefully weigh out how to give each sibling their appropriately sized struggle so they get equal ability to contribute

Instead of doing that though, they did my least favorite trope: Evil Character secretly can do everything the heros can but better and without a problem or ***training***

It meant that they could do whatever they wanted with throwing commission agents at them because Luther, Allison, and Klaus were completely added on just to react to things

Five sort of got to do some fighting (<3 thats my lil geriatric 13 year old) but it was minor, he was mainly there to very obviously turn back time when the big bad shoot out happened

Diego got the most to do out of the siblings and it was suddenly knowing a new ability and doing it a little bit

I dont want a final fight to be trying to woo a bad guy to the good side because theyre too strong to fight 

I want there to be stakes and drama as the siblings show off exactly what the season was all about, what they learned, how they grew together and apart, etc and to take down the big bad which could have very easily been the united front of the Commission instead of 18% Vanya, 15% Harlan, 30% Lila and the Handler, 20% the Swede(s), etc

Lila’s turn to good could have been to help them sneak attack the commission, maybe in their base so as to shrink the fighting to manageable bites for each character?

That would have allowed five’s killing of the board to draw the fighting to a close, a hard decision for him as he is trying to move away from killing but does so to save his family, always to save his family :’( 

Luther could protect his siblings from hits like they showed at the beginning in a way that mirrors how he has been doing that emotionally all season

etc etc etc for all of the siblings so that they each get to show off and have their moment in the spotlight as heros

I loved the season even though i just ranted for like 3 pages, and it has some of the best one liners and line readings ever (”Thats where you come in Five” “Nope. No it isnt”) I just wish that some parts of it had been given some more thought / care so they could really show of the amazing cast, effects, sets, etc without writing in the way

Summary: What happens when four idiots get together? Nikki’s looking for his dad. Tommy’s trying to get out of his mom’s shadow. Vince is along for the ride. And Mick is just trying to keep them alive. Which is harder than it sounds when then Winchesters join the fray.

Warnings: Language, violence, m/m smut, canon divergence, character deaths (temporarily), wincest if you squint (may add more tags as I go)

AN: I have a bunch done, but I’m lazy so I’m sorry.

A Few Months Later

Motley Crue was the name the four settled on. They had to be the first hunting band, and damn, they were good at it. Voula, Bobby, and Rufus were all just glad that they now had permanent hunting partners. They played some gigs for money, but when they were out on the road and couldn’t book anything at a bar or club, they all had talents that they could use. Tommy was pretty good at distracting people while Nikki hustled pool. Nikki had learned that the night he watched Tommy kill the vampire in the alley of the Roxy.

They met up with the Winchester’s a handful of times, swapping stories and such. But Tommy could tell that there was something off, something they were keeping from them. He didn’t want to push though. He had heard of the Winchester temper that came along with the hunting skills.

“I found us a hunt,” Mick told them. “Poltergeist out in Nevada. I thought it would be worth our time.”

“I’ve actually never done a poltergeist before,” Tommy admitted.

“Dude, they’re a blast,” Vince rolled his eyes. “I’m surprised that Winchester hasn’t told you all about them. The two of you talk a lot.”

“Winchester?” Nikki asked, his head popping up from where he was writing. “Which one?”

“Sam and Tommy are buddies, thanks to me,” Vince laughed. Tommy rolled his eyes and glanced over at Nikki, who was gripping the pen he was writing with tightly. “So, you two going to go out on a date soon or what?”

“Vince!” Tommy shook his head. “We’re just friends. We tell each other about research and such. He complains about Dean, and I tell him things we’ve done. That’s it.”

“Uh, huh. Sure,” Vince winked and nudged Tommy, who pushed him away.

“Okay, that’s enough of that,” Mick sighed. “Let’s get out there and get this done so Tommy can cross poltergeist off his list of hunts.” Vince and Mick headed off to get ready for the hunt. Tommy walked over to Nikki, who was still staring at his notebook.

“Nik?” Tommy asked. “You okay?”

“Just fine,” He grumbled. “Come on. Let’s get a move on.”

They found a motel in Ely, Nevada. Tommy had ridden with Vince in the Challenger, since Nikki didn’t seem to want to talk to him. It was going to be an eight-hour drive, and Tommy would rather listen to Vince’s bad singing than a cold shoulder from Nikki. Two rooms paid for and the boys headed in. Normally Tommy shared a room with Nikki, but this time, he headed into Vince’s, causing Mick and Vince to share a look.

“What did you do?” Vince growled at Nikki. Nikki held his hands up.

“Nothing, promise,” He told him. “I don’t know what his deal is.”

“Yeah right,” Vince rolled his eyes. “Ruining my plans.” He mumbled as he headed into the room.

“What plans do you have? You and Mick…” Nikki trailed off and his eyes widened as Vince closed the door and looked over at Tommy who was on the bed farthest from the door.

“So, we’re roomies again?” Vince asked with a laugh. “Why aren’t you with Nikki?”

“He was really short with me after a certain someone,” He looked up at Vince. “Basically told him that I’m seeing Sam Winchester when you know damn well who I like. So now, you’re stuck with me for the night.”

“Well, that’s cool and all, but I kinda had plans and…” Vince rubbed the back of his neck at the room door opened and Mick headed in with all their bags.

“Hey babe, I thought that since we were…” Mick started.

“Shhh!” Vince hissed. Mick looked up to see Tommy sitting on the bed, his eyes wide as he looked between Vince and Mick.

“I...are you two…” He chuckled a bit. “I never would’ve seen the two of you together.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Vince asked.

“Well, I mean…” Mick cleared his throat, cutting Tommy off.

“Okay, we need to get some interviews done with the family before we start digging at bones,” Mick explained. He unzipped a bag and threw Vince his suit. “Get dressed babe. I wanna head out soon.”

“Wait, you two are going?” Tommy asked. “What am I supposed to do?”

“Take a nap, because you’re sleeping in the car when we get done with this hunt,” Vince winked. Tommy glared at him before storming out of the room. He took a deep breath and leaned against Nikki’s car. A bit later, Mick and Vince came out, dressed in suits with their badges ready to go.

“See you later T-Bone,” Vince winked as him and got into the car with Mick, driving off with a wave. Tommy sighed, trying to figure out what to do next, when he heard a door open and looked up to see Nikki standing there.

“Sorry,” Tommy pushed himself away from the car and headed towards the vending machine. He put in a dollar to get himself a Dr. Pepper and noticed Nikki loitering nearby. “Did I scratch the car?”

“What? No,” Nikki shook his head. Silence fell between them again.

“Do you want a drink?” Tommy asked a second later, opening his can and taking a sip. He handed Nikki some coins so he could pick something out before heading back towards the rooms. Nikki looked at the coins and sighed before he got himself a drink and he followed Tommy.

“So, you’re staying here?” Nikki asked when he walked up to Tommy hanging out outside of Vince’s room.

“Tonight I’m sleeping in the car,” Tommy told him. “Did you know Vince and Mick are…”

“I just found out,” Nikki told him. There was some more awkward silence, but soon Tommy and Nikki were trying to speak at the same time. “Oh, you first.” Nikki smiled at him.

“Uh, why did you get so mad when Vince told you I was talking with Sam?” Tommy asked, looking down. Nikki sighed and grabbed his arm, pulling him into his room. Tommy yelped a little, but followed him. “Nikki?”

“I’m not mad you’re talking to Sam,” Nikki ran his fingers through his now dyed hair. “I mean, I am, but not for the reason you think I am…”

“Then what is it?” Tommy asked. Nikki sighed.

“I like you Tommy,” Nikki explained. ���And it just hurts that you’re with someone you see less than once a month, someone who can’t appreciate you and…” Tommy laughed then. “Is my pain funny or something?”

“I’m not dating Sam,” Tommy told him. “We’re friends. I’m crushing on someone else.”

“Dean?” Nikki asked, completely oblivious.

“And people say I’m clueless,” Tommy laughed. “I like you Nikki. But I didn’t think you’d feel the same way about me so I just never said anything.”

“Wait...what?” Nikki asked, staring at Tommy like he couldn’t believe the words that just came out of his mouth. “You like me? You’re not dating Sam?”

“Oh my god,” Tommy smiled at him. “You’re so clueless it’s cute. I’ve been crushing on you since we met after I killed that vampire dumbass.” He sat down on the edge of one of the beds. Nikki smiled and was about to speak when Mick threw the door open.

“That was the quickest interview I’ve ever done,” He laughed. “Didn’t even have to talk to the family. The caretaker of the estate told us all about it and we got what we needed.” Vince followed behind him with a big grin on his face.

“We’re going to get the speed record for fastest turn around on a hunt.” He laughed. He looked from Nikki to Tommy. “Did we miss something?”

“Nope,” Tommy shook his head. “So what are we looking for?”

“The spirit is William Goss. He was a disgruntled former employee of the estate, back when the current owners great, great grandfather owned it,” Mick explained. “According to the caretaker, he’s buried off of Pole Line Road.”

“So, we’ll wait until nightfall and go knock out some ghosts,” Vince laughed. “But first, let’s get some lunch. Place in town claims to have the best pie around. I want to be the judge of that.”

Melancholy Kaleidoscope: Okay so this was the song I was most excited to hear but after hearing it I’m kinda eh. But really I think the beginning is okayish and afterwards the song picks up. By the time it gets to the bridge I’m ready to give 100 instead of 95.

Fave Lyric: Staring at the ceiling choking back my feelings. Can’t be 100 if you’re only giving 95. (relatable af at the moment).

Trouble Is: So far this one is my fave just cause THIS IS ME RN. That first verse and chorus. I felt that. Oh and that one little mini scremo part during the second chorus...yes.

Wake Up Sunshine: THE TITULAR TRACK. Wasn’t expecting that intro in the beginning. Okay so this song is very like “im gonna do me and I don’t care what you think.” If I had to put this in a movie this would go in the scene where the main character finally decides to stop being what everyone wants lol.

Monsters: THE BASS IN THE FIRST VERSE! YES ZACHARY. I’m waving my hand up and down the whole song PLS PLAY THIS ONE LIVE.

Pretty Venom (Interlude): This is a very interesting and different sound for them in my opinion. The way Alex’s voice sounds here reminds me of Simple Creatures a bit.

Favorite Place ft. The Band Camino: This is a song I would love to hear live just cause I feel like it would sound great live. Like it’s a nice chill song after turning up to something else.It’s a very sweet song.

Safe: I like how optimistic this song is. It’s very “you got this” and it’s def a song I would listen to when I’m down.

January Gloom (Seasons Pt. 1): I like how he describes this person who gets him out of this rut. I like it cause I can picture someone even though it’s not the same person he’s talking about. Idk this song makes me feel things.

Clumsy: Idk why but this gives me “Oops I Did It Again” vibes. Specifically the “I was bound to make a mess of things, mixin' fireworks and gasoline. Now I'm out to make you fall with me.” also i see the "dropping bombs” and “future’s past” nods to time bomb and future hearts.

ok first thank you a lot and second i just started my junior year of high school and im really really stressed and i dont know what to do, like i have a ton of work already but i feel like im not doing enough bc there's people who are taking more college credit classes than me and theyre all learning to drive and getting jobs and i did nothing all summer and im sorry this probably wasn't what you were expecting (1)

Okay im not sure im necessarily the best person to give out advice but darling we all do things at our own pace,we all do things at the best of our abilities and we shouldnt compare ourselves to other people,which is hard af i know it,like im the queen of comparing myself to others but this is also why i know it amounts to nothing,we can never be that other person,there will always be someone thats better than us,there will always be someone thats worse than us and we just gotta focus on being our personal best. Second, doing good in highschool is really not that good of a prediction of how you are gonna do in the future,when I was in hs i was on the best 5% of my school ,im the person who got the highest score on the university admission test we have in my country out of my whole family and also friends and then i got into college and one i relaized that what i wanted to study at first wasnt what i really wanted to study and then when i got into whate i really wanted i failed two classes on my first year ,which was sad and devastating and damn i survives and did much better the second time around and the world didnt end like i felt it would,i felt so dumb but i just went ahead and did things again and it was better i understood more,i learnt more and i discovered some things about myself too. The driving thing i dont even know what to tell you about cause im gonna be 22 in like two weeks and i dont know how to drive and everyone ia pressuring me to do it but i honestly dont feel ready so i just wont do it cause i know it wouldnt go well,qnd thats okay we all have our own times and tahts super valid dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

About not knowing what you want to do,you have time you honestly do, theres still some time and yiu can just explore options, see what comes,i was sooo sure for most of my life what i wanted and then i just realized that it wasnt for me,that it wasnt what i really wanted to do with my life and now im in smth i enjoy studying but i dont really know what i wanna do when i have to work and thats cool,all my profs tell me that theres a world of possibilities out there and we will find what we need and want eventually you dont really gotta pressure yourself for this , you can go and find some vocational advice,you can ask yourseld what you really like to do,what you picture yourself doing and eventually you'll get there I have faith in this.
