since the ST5 hype has started now i just want to say if byler isn't endgame then mike wheeler will go from one of the best to one of the worst written characters on this show. it'd also just make him a terrible friend and boyfriend with absolutely no explanation.

him being closeted doesn't excuse the shitty ways he's treated el and will but it does explain it. it makes him very complex. if the m!levens were to have it their way he's literally just a shitty person for no reason.

i don't understand how anyone could be rooting for him and el given how he's been acting. they haven't been cute since season 2.

I just thought of him being created with the sole purpose of knowledge and duty ( being affiliated with the stars and astrology ), being a high-ranked angel but not enough to be one of the archangels. Having the titles, it's as if he's similar or close to Lucifer's role (before the fall) or maybe an extension. He does everything to fulfill his purpose. However, the downside is that he always gets compared with Lucifer (pre-fall).

So what he does is look up to him, idolizing someone he has never met, he's practically devoted at some point, nearing a follower. But oh so bitter and sour because all he gets is to be COMPARED.

Cherry on top that he wants to impress Michael, but Michael can barely look at him because all he sees is Lucifer.

All of his hard work feels like it's going to waste because he'll always be a shadow of someone he never knew. And that created grudges, created hate, created his rage. Thus, it's the reason for his Fall. Bro's identity revolves around a dead person (Angel Luci). That's why he's a narcissistic asshole with fucking identity and anger issues.

What's worse is meeting Lucifer himself, the person he looked up to all his life, doesn't know him.

It's not Lucifer's fault though.

i think the batfam mostly, pretty much exclusively, wear long sleeves, pants and many layers when out in public. for a multitude of reasons:

a concerning amount of scars, bruises and injuries from patrolling that would be Too suspicious for public figures of their status to have without raising questions

i think they wear some type of their supersuit under their normal clothes sometimes, just in case you know

finally to hide muscle/conceal their build slightly and further blur the line between their vigilante and civilian identity

it’s not too suspicious either for them to never really be seen in short sleeves or shorts, the weather in gotham is terrible 90% of the year and the other 10% of the year they just suffer through the heat

if babying you gets you annoyed, he'll do that. you once made a typo or said the wrong word? not only will he never forget it, he'll make sure to mention it every time the context allows it anyhow (and even if the context doesn't allow it, he'd go "hey, y/n, remember when..."). the one time you fell down the stairs? he will literally remind you every. single. day.

of course, he knows the limits and boundaries, but you can be sure, there will never be a day with maki where he doesn't annoy you anyhow. he'd probably even gently tease you when you're down as long as he knows it will put a smile on your face <3

would also make sure to remind you from time to time that he'd not being serious cause he's just a sweetheart :c
