This part in 32 chp always felt kind of odd to me and this is the reason why:

The coward wolf boy, Lock. Until Choi Han found him, Lock had been hiding as the chief had told him. The Lock at that point is very much a coward, a weakling, and kind of slow. In simple terms, Lock easily took the position of the character that readers found to be extremely frustrating.

This has bothered me since I first read the novel, and to this day, even after several rereads, it still haunts me.

Cale simply isn't the type of a person to actually call a kid, no matter how they behave, to be "frustrating".

(When the text said "readers" it's damn well obvious of Cale being the one to think so.)

Pondering for some time I can roughly guess why the wording was so unexpected for his character.

At the time of the assassination/kindaping in the village, Lock was only thirteen years old. He also hasn't had his first berserk transformation yet. Therefore it is not surprising that Lock's uncle hid him and told not to go out, saying that everything was fine and he should continue to hide.

Now let's look at the situation realistically.

Lock (in tcf) jumps out of his hiding to protect his younger siblings. The adrenaline and inner Blue Wolf Tribe's instincts to protect turned on his berserk transportation one year beforehand, however if not Rosalyn and Choi Han, who came earlier than in the actual novel, i don't think it would help much.

Lock would possibly be able to kill a few people or at least seriously injure them, but CMON. They killed an ENTIRE village full of berserk Blue Wolf's and with almost-Wolf King (Lock's uncle). Do you really believe that a thirteen years old boy jumping into his first berserk transformation would be able to fight properly against strong organization that had holy water or some sort of holy artefact on their hands?

Again, if not for Choi Han's and Rosalyn's arrival... it would have definitely ended pretty bad.

In TBOAH Lock for some reason didn't jump out. Different circumstances, wrong wroted part in the novel, idk, but the fact is stated: Lock stayed hidden. He also most likely survived only because of Choi Han's help. Just with much worse scenario where he was left alone from the whole village.

And it wasn't Lock's fault yet again. He was a child. No matter if a Beastman one or not, the boy was just an innocent, naive and weak child.

So why would Cale, Kim Rok Soo at the time, find him frustrating? Extremely so even!

The answer is much easier if you think about it.

Because it wasn't Kim Rok Soo blaming a kid for being weak and cowardly in a fearful situation, it was a man who saw his own past that he hated so much.

A coward, a weakling and kind of slow.

For Rok Soo, who blamed himself for half of his life for the deaths of team one members, Lock was like a salt for still open, but ignored wounds.

KRS greatly disliked and maybe even envied Lock for a bit. The boy got a new family, he got friends and some sort of guidance from them even after facing so much despair.

While he was all alone, trying to understand what to do on his own.

It sure is irritating for Rok Soo.

Yet Team Leader Kim Rok Soo was probably unable to fully hate Lock for his weakness, because while the latter was still a kid, the same forgiveness can't be used on him. At least in his own head.

So with conflicting feelings Cale settled on "Extremely frustrating" description.

I walked into The Judgment Day’s locker room, getting ready for my match. But I noticed the atmosphere felt different. Dom and Finn were mostly quiet. They were never this way before?

Dominik scratched his head as Finn opened his mouth to answer me.

“Look man we’ll talk after the promo,” Finn and Dominik both walked past me as I stared at them in shock.

After the promo , me , Finn , and Dominik walked back stage. Back to our locker room. I tried not to let my confusion get into the way of the promo, but I ofter found myself zoning out whole thinking about it. They had never acted this way towards me , so what made their feelings change? 

I sat down on the locker room bench as I waited for Finn and Dominik to talk.

“Look we know about the Y/N situation..,” Dominik spoke first.

“And we dont think what you did was valid man , I mean did you know what happened to her mom that day, and the fact you put the weight of a breakup on her is just cruel..” Finn chimed in.

I felt confused. 

“What happened with her mom?” I asked.

Dominik sighed as he began to speak.

“She got into a car crash — A drunk driver is what she said.” 

“Look the only reason we know this is because Rhea told us about. After she texted Rhea about the breakup, and she repeated what you said— she just broke down man,” Dominik had a sour look on his face , meanwhile Finn turned away from them both.

Then the realization hit me. Thats why her eyes were so red. She had been carrying a hard weight in her shoulder. And when I broke up with her , that was just the cherry in top. A heavy weight of guild filled my mind as Finn and Damian told me what had happened. By the end , I knew I had to talk to her. Make things right. That was the least I could do, I thought to myself.

I layed in bed , curled up as a thick blanket covered my body, when I heard a key unlock the front door. My face morphed into confusion as I sat up from my curled up position in the bed. Soon enough I heard the door to now my own bedroom creak open. I felt my stomach drop as I saw a worried face. His face.

He didn’t understand how you felt until he saw it. When Damian had walked into the bedroom , he first saw your worried and confused expression. Your eyes were bloodshot red and had darker spots under your eyes. 

“W-why are you here?” You asked. Your voice was shakey. Fragile. Like you could break any minute.

As you looked down, Damian came closer to your sitting figure. His hands found its place on both sides of your head. Making you look up at him. 

“I came to apologize. I didn’t know it was this bad — and I really messed up. I just want you to know it was a mistake. Ive been a mess these few days and I thought about coming back.. I did and when Dom and Finn told me what happened I knew I had to come back”.

“I know i messed up, just please ill do better this time. Im so sorry.” He finally completed his rambling as a tear rolled down onto your cheek.

“I don’t know if I could trust you so easily, b-but ill try. I just need you to regain my trust. Day by day.” You replied as  Damian blinked away the tears that threatened to drop from his eyes.

“I wanna make it up to you even if its little.” He said.

He opened his mouth to speak again. “Cmon let’s go eat dinner , and we could take a bth if you would like to?” 

I nodded as a sign of okay , and he went downstairs to get the food for us ready. A small smile found its way to my face as I finally felt joy enter my body. I was happy to finally have Damian back. You felt better already.

bro why the actual fuck is Arthur just magical hitler now?? 😭 like hello???? it genuinely makes me really sad because he was such a sweet and likable character for most of 7ds and now he wants to create an ethnostate for humans only???? it just breaks my heart, man

SAME WITH JERICHO LIKE HELLO? QUEEN, YOURE BETTER THAN THIS. genuinely tho- nakaba try not to make all your characters pedos challenge (impossible). there are literally so many other ways in which Jericho could have ended up in a similar situation, but nakaba really just chose pedophilia? it couldve been something along the same lines just without the romantic attraction!! a family bond can be just as strong- and it couldve been something like her losing Lancelot or in some other way letting him down, and then thinking that he despises her and holds onto that grudge (which, judging his character it wouldve probably been a small spat that he got over) - but maybe Jericho didnt understand that, or wasnt ready to face him, expecting him to be livid - so she asked for an alternative reality where that didnt happen and they got along great as sister/brother or master/trainee. i wouldnt put Jericho past being so stubborn that she wouldnt believe when Lance would say that he forgave her, and then boom!! same set-up, just without the nasty pedophilia!!

ON THE NOTE OF WHICH- (theres so much of that garbage in nakaba's writing, fucks sake) - i genuinely hate the whole thing happening with Guinevere. the whole non-consensual kiss from a 12 year old to a 16 year old (ewwwww) is one thing, but then when Lance is reflecting on that interaction and he SMILES????

you have no idea how much this panel killed me to see. Lancelot youre better than this,,,, 4 years is not a big age difference when youre in your 30's, but when youre 16???? please,,,, cmon now,,,

"Hey, nono it's okay, here, sorry." He noticed how you flinched and decided to just hand you the jacket. You take it out of his hands and put your arms in the sleeves.

"Hey why don't I take you to my house? well- it's not a house it's more of a mini house. Anyway, you look freezing and it's supposed to snow tonight and I can't just leave you out here. If you'd feel more comfortable you can sit in the back of my car so you don't have to be that close to me." He rambles, clearly trying to make it known you're safe and he isn't even gonna breathe without making sure you're okay with that.

"No..no. okay. I sit in with you." You speak, trying to make yourself sound tougher to no avail. "Oh! oh you can speak. okay! Great, just this way, uh..your name?" He's shocked you can speak, he actually kinda thought you were an homeless exchange student.

"Oh! shit, sorry, I left my box . I'll be right back." He says, removing his arm from around you but you catch his wrist.

"No, wait. Let me..." You whisper, he's clearly confused but stops. You close your eyes and take a deep breath before focusing all your attention on the box. It starts rattling, shaking almost. It begins to slowly and shakily make its way towards you.

"WOAH! woah what the fuck?!" He says, practically flying backwards towards his car. His reaction startles you and you flinch and the box drops on the floor about halfway. You step back towards a tree and lean against it.

"Wait, sorry, Im just..I've.. never quite seen something like that before." He whispers the last bit as he bends down to pick up his box.

"Come on back, It's okay. I'm sorry I shouted , just surprised. Cmere, you're safe." He says, reaching a hand out to you. which you look at before you slowly take it.

"Yeah..yeah safe. You know what it means?" He replies, looking at you.

You nod "I know..never felt."

He left out a soft 'ah'.

You're now in his car about 4 to 5 minutes away from his trailer. Without him realising , you take the metal box and open it up . You see a little bag with..balled up grass? in it. You smell it and immediately let out a huff due to the extreme smell. Weird smelling grass. Eddie glances over, double taking when he realises what you have.

"Woahhwoah. careful with that, it's not even mine- here give it, I'll put it back later." He says, switching to one hand to drive the car and the other is reaching for the bagged up green ball.

You hand it to him, and he shoves it in his back pocket as he pulls into his trailer. He steps out whilst you're still trying to get out, forgetting you have a seat belt on. He opens you door and realises you haven't taken your belt off. he chuckles softly before leaning over you, making you wonder what he was doing so you lean down too, you hear a soft -click- He leans back up not knowing you leant down too so your noses practically brush together. He makes a sly glance at your lips to your eyes before removing your belt and softly taking your hand in his to step you out the vehicle. He walks you into his trailer, sitting you down softly on the couch.

"Do you have any injuries? like um..cuts? or scratches?" He asks, standing back upright. You nod and lift up your shirt a little to reveal a cut, not heavily bleeding but still needs to be taken care of.

"Okay, im gonna go grab some clothes and a first aid kit, stay here, look around, just don't leave , kay?" He says, giving a look towards the door. You softly nod and he walks towards his bedroom. You stand up and begin to look at a bunch of tapes.

there's some words on them you've never seen or heard them. meta-llica? Iron mayden? goodness knows. he walks back out looking towards the couch seeing your not there and snaps his head towards the door thinking you left but seeing you kneeling in the corner with a bunch of tapes. He let's out a soft laugh

"I see you found my music." His voice makes you flinch a little. "Here, the bathroom is just there. You can wear these until we get you some girl clothes. Unless you like those. sure we could find you some." You nod and walk towards the bathroom, turning around and shutting it. You slip on what he's given you, some black pants and a shirt that says.. Black..sab-beth? How have you never heard these words before? Weird. You walk out and eddie smiles at seeing you in his clothes because they're huge on you. "Here..May I?" He says, gesturing to your bottom half. You turn your head and lift up your arms thinking he was gonna take your shirt off.

He softly reaches towards the joggers and rolls them so they're not as big. His fingers grazes softly on your hips, they're cold so it makes you twitch a little. He let's out a soft sorry.

"Sit, gotta clean up that cut or it'll get infected." He sounds, patting the couch. you do as he said and opened your legs a little so he could reach the cut on your stomach.

"Okay, good job. Could you hold your shirt up to about..there? please. thank you." He says, lifitng your shirt softly so he can gain access to the cut better.

"this might hurt." He whispers before patting a alcohol cloth on the cut. You gasp and grab his arm, pushing him away slightly.

"Sorry! Sorry. just a little more. you're doing really good." You make your hold less tight and let him do what he's gonna do.

As he's doing that he begins to speak. "Hey..um. if you don't mind me asking, how did you do that? back there. The whole...floaty..thing. Whatever it was." You shrug.

"I was a in a lab, put in a water tube, with a funny hat on with strings attached and I saw things. Trained me to move things without touching. There is others...Was." You mumble, correcting yourself. His eyebrows raise slightly.

"They did tests on you?" He asks, leaning back because he finished. You just stare at him, making him realise you don't know how bad that is.

"Right..anyway, you're all bandaged up. I'll change it tomorrow. Until then, is there something you wanna do?" You glance around, tapes catching your eye again. you stand up and walk towards them, trying to find one that matches the words on your shirt.

You eventually find one called "Black sabbeth: Paranoid." You hand it to Eddie, pointing to your shirt.

"The same." you spoke.

He nods with big grin. "Yeah! they're the same. You wanna listen?"

He asks, taking it out of your hands. You nod and he walks over to put the tape in, turning the volume down to 11 so it's not too loud for you. You sit down on the couch, waiting for the song to begin, he joins you and it begins. After a few seconds, maybe 10 or 20, you bop your head along. getting the rhythm. He laughs whilst looking at you.

"Bitchin', right?" He smiles.

You stare for a few seconds before returning the soft smile.

"Bitchin'."

Honestly, Nickelodeon did April’s character so dirty in the 2012 iteration. Like, what is that harlot? She’s not April, that’s for sure. Literally any other version of April is amazing. 2003, 2007, bay, Rise, they’re all great! And then they gave us 2012…

2003 April will always be my favourite because she’s the version I grew up on. Honestly, she’s such an icon. A badass babe who takes shit from no one without being a total asshole. Her and Casey’s relationship is such goals. I love them together, especially in that iteration.

It just saddens me that they took such an amazing character and absolutely butchered her. There are some good things about 2012 April. But the cons outweigh the pros and I can’t see her as being anything but an annoying twat who I want to backhand.

Before he even tried on the clothes I felt like I could see through him.. I’m a very observant person especially energetically & I felt as though he was trying to present himself as his usual self, but I think he’s tired. Just ranting abt horror tropes and how I am picky

Love how that layout change kicked me more into spooky mood again but man I fucking hate how much ableism is in horror movies. I forgot why I don't watch horror movies at like all since forever but adore horror in gen until I searched for ones without any ableist shit in them. If it isn't physical seen as creepy it's the narcissist/sociopath/psychopath villain trope and I want to start strangling producers. The last one I watched was skinamarink and that was like my first one in forever next to an old japanese one like two three years ago w a friend. Will prob rewatch otgw and some classic horror movies. Maybe when focus watch some anime w horror elements. Since like. Getting me to be scared is anyways hard nowadays I consume horror games all year round (albeit only through let's plays). Also idk if it just seems like that or if I got bad luck there but a lot I did want to check out bc of people saying how oh so brutal they are always got rape scenes when I checked which is an immediate no and I just I'm tired man. Also yes I like survival horror I like resident evil silent hill ofc I like a lot of horror game classics but like. Those aren't creepy imo. Those don't evoke the same fear. Ian wouldn't tell you about the pregnancy until that paternity test comes back a match, he's desperately clinging to hope that this isn't a conversation he's going to have to have with you but

It's cut and dry on ink and paper. Ian is a father to be with a woman he ruined your relationship with while trying to nurture a budding career in acting. Initially he's shell shocked about it, and that cold viscous feeling of immense regret and guilt flood his system.

Bad enough when he called you to confess to cheating, by some miracle you decided not to block him-shit even if you only kept his number because you were technically on the lease, any reason was a good reason to Ian but how the absolute fuck was he supposed to tell you this? He was skating on thin ice as it was just trying to keep a piece of you in his life.

What makes this worse is that really? Ian wanted a family with you, have kids that were a blend of your traits, raised in a nice home, by loving supporting parents that would be you and Ian. And now? An illegitimate child with a one night stand in a moment of weakness and stupidity he'd be paying for the rest of his life.

Ian does tell you, he can't not tell you, but it does take a stripe of time for him to try and cobble together how he tells you and really? There's no good way to do it. There will never be a good way to do it and so he just resigns himself to that this will likely be the last time he has any interaction with you.

His voice is shakey and somber when he tells you he has more to admit to, he'll come right out and say what's happened peppered with the usual admission of guilt and that he "fucked up". At first he thinks he's doing okay but that quickly goes down the drain when he hears you crying. Again. Because of him.

"I can't keep doing this. Why do I keep letting you hurt me like this? Why did I ever trust you?" You're understandably very upset and whether you decide to keep Ian in your life or not is a decision he'll do his best to respect even if you don't exactly believe him when he says that. (I mean really, bud. Cmon)

While Ian won't want anything but a basic coparenting relationship with the child's mother, Ian would want to be present in his child's life and would want to be a good dad. It isn't the kid's fault, Ian knows that. While Ian hopes you'll be by his side to be a good step parent, he can't blame you either if you don't feel comfortable for a while to interact with his child

If you even decide to stick around of course. He can't force you but he would try or do or say anything in hopes to persuade you, beg, cry, Y'know somehow more desperate than the voicemails after he cheated on you

In all honesty, Ian's a good dad. He loves his child, the circumstances were far from ideal but Ian does his best to provide the best he can in all capacities and as his child grows- so does Ian.

He learns a lot in regard to emotions and patience. Ruminating a lot on how things could have been so very different, could have been better, if he'd only just been more emotionally available to you and patient. If he'd really put the work in the way you had, if you could see him doing it now. Was it too late for him? For you?

Ian is a doting father and should you decide to stay with him you'll see the impact this child has on him; his emotional acuity, his patience, his adapting to newfound responsibilities...there are some ways that this situation impacts him for the better however it certainly leaves him with a fair share of scars as well.

If you're still around, the child's mother will be contentious. She will still vy for Ian's affections and wouldn't be above doing petty things and using her child to do it either. On top of that, she'd also be the type to revel in court appearances and try to change the goalposts when it comes to parenting and custody. It isn't easy on you by any means but you stand by Ian and as always, lovingly support him and the child through the ordeal and Ian does his best to make sure you're alright too. You've been through so much and he wishes you weren't still paying the price of his poor judgment

If you arent around, Ian will forever mourn your absence and still cling to a small sliver of hope the two of you may have another chance in the future. He still won't be romantically involved with the child's mother, his resentment to her will only grow from that point and he'd be reluctant to move on in dating even if you already have

Ian's focus would be his child and his work and if that's all he has, well... he knows that's by his own design and no one's fault but it's own. If he even deserves that much will be a question that keeps him up late into the mornings along with tearful memories of you and the family you could have been.
